The Dim Convention: Ca-Ca-Mala Harris Biden Time

We named Ca-Ca-Mala (bad sh*t) correctly. It’s the Obama Turd Term and the Turd was dropped by Biden. Obama knows Sloppy Joe can’t win. Now on the first day of the dimmest convention ever, CNN says via a poll that Biden has the stink of a turd on him:

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead has evaporated in the past two months, a new poll from CNN shows.

Biden leads President Donald Trump by just four points nationally — 50 percent to 46 percent — and by even less across 15 battleground states that will determine who wins the electoral college. In those 15 states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin — the new CNN poll has Biden leading by just one percent, with Biden at 49 and Trump at 48.

The top line national number of a four-point race represents a double-digit shift in Trump’s direction from CNN’s last national poll in early June. That survey, two months ago, had Biden up 14 points — meaning this latest survey represents a ten-point swing Trump’s way as the summer has progressed heading into the conventions. [snip]

“The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it’s a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide),” Agiesta wrote. “Trump has also solidified his partisans since June. While 8% of Republicans or Republican-leaning independents in June said they would back Biden, that figure now stands at just 4%. And the President has boosted his backing among conservatives from 76% to 85%.”

The poll was conducted from August 12 to August 15, meaning that it was done entirely in the wake of the announcement from Biden that Harris would be his running mate. Agiesta wrote that Americans have just a “narrowly positive” view of Harris, with 41 percent saying they view her favorably and 38 percent unfavorably — not a great boost to the Biden ticket as the first week a vice presidential nominee comes out of the gate, they usually do better than they will as the campaign progresses.

CNN divides the sample size into three separate categories: simply American adults, registered voters, and registered voters in battleground states. The margin of error increases the more specific the sample set gets.

Barack Obama is sharing doubts about the ability of his former Vice President Joe Biden to win the 2020 election, according to a new report.   

Tensions linger between the camps with the VP determined to prove the naysayers wrong after Obama backed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as his successor in 2016, Politico states.

While the former President has publicly backed Biden – albeit late in the day – he is said to be warning his inner circle that he may not be fit for office.

‘Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up,’ Obama has cautioned, according to one Democrat who spoke to Politico.

While in office, young Obama aides are reported to have dismissed Biden, even ‘eye-rolling’ when the VP would begin speaking, while former members of the administrations have also treated Biden dismissively in their memoirs. 

‘In the Situation Room, Biden could be something of an unguided missile,’ Ben Rhodes, Obama’s former deputy national security adviser, wrote. 

Former FBI Director James Comey also said that ‘Obama would have a series of exchanges heading a conversation very clearly and crisply in Direction A. Then, at some point, Biden would jump in with, ‘Can I ask something, Mr. President?’ 

‘Obama would politely agree, but something in his expression suggested he knew full well that for the next five or 10 minutes we would all be heading in Direction Z,’ Comey added. 

Obama is a treacherous pig but Biden deserves what he gets for having gotten in the mud with swine. Still, Biden is the Obama Turd Term so when Sloppy Joe loses, Obama loses even more. The stink is on.

All we can say is “ca-ca-mala”. That’s some bad shit about to come down this week.

  1. What more could the Dimwits do to lose the election? Now their obvious plan is to steal it. The mail in ballots are an old Sorfeld technique. Nasty is calling the Dimwits back to session to try to force the fraud through the USPS. 20 GHz satellites are going up and will be broadcasting from the sky for the election, to produce plenty of Covid-f*i*v*e-*G*E*E, particularly targeting rural areas. I did not understand at first how these systems made people on the cruise ships ill because the high band transmission is between the satellite and the ships antenna. What is broadcast to the passengers devices is the standard stuff. However, I found out that the beams are approximately 5 miles in diameter so the whole ship gets blanketed by high band.

    And yes, falls and brain bleeding can be the result of a silent, trace-less microwave attack. See the glimpse of the future if the less than one percent win the war they are waging on the populous. Microbes, radiation and misinformation are the weapons of the psy-opt. You are not intended to be able to figure out what is real.

    I have the highest respect for you and the work you do. My sentiments are felt by millions of Americans who believe in this country. Most of us try never to miss your show. I could not find an email address for you therefore I am sending you this letter.

    I have sent the following letter to Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) concerning captioned matter and asking him to pass it along to the Trump campaign for what it is worth. I listed you as a cc because I knew you would expose Harris, and sure enough your program tonight did exactly that. Your first guest who has studied her record in detail was very informative.

    Finally, you have warned us about the mail ballot scam. However, I ran across the link below, which is from a Red State blog contributor with a track record of analyzing in depth and predicting accurately what the evil doers will do, including what Sullivan and ultimately the DC Circuit is now doing on Flynn, against precedent, as Sidney Powell has pointed out.

    He does so here as well. He explains in detail what the other side is up to, most alarmingly their end game which is to create delay and refuse to certify election results within the time period prescribed, to strip voters of their right to select the president and cede that power to the House pursuant to Article 12. The putative justification for this, the corona virus, has now been debunked by their Delphic Oracle Faucci. Perhaps that is why their journalistic pretenders persist in artfully asking Trump whether he will leave office if he does not win.

    That is a nightmare scenario. It would tank the stock market for those who care only about that. More importantly, this subterfuge would upend our constitutional democracy. This explains why they have selected a left-wing zealot like Harris who will do their bidding no remorse, but could never be elected. As such, this contingency needs to be addressed legally. Therefore, I have sent an email to Tom Fitton and Chris Farrell. But I am not sure they have legal standing to challenge it. It is equally important that the end game of this scheme be presented to the public. Therefore, I turn again to you. Time is of the essence.

    Dear Senator Tillis:

    I am a Washington State attorney admitted to practice in 1975. I have been active in Republican politics, and was part of the kitchen cabinet of a former Congressional Representative. I was born and raised in Seattle. I practiced law in that venue. Seattle was always a liberal town because the unions were powerful. But it did not become a progressive one until the high-tech companies and their young geeks moved in. I went to high school with Governor Inslee. I knew the Mayor. It was obvious that under their benighted leadership bad times lay ahead. And we are seeing them now. Consequently, I moved to North Carolina in 2017 and became one of your constituents.

    I am a committed Trump supporter. I concur with Bill Barr’s assessment that he is a very effective executive, and a great president. He has restored prosperity, and addressed the existential problems his predecessors in office turned a blind eye to. He has survived more than one coup d ‘etat by the deep state, democrat party and mainstream media. He has managed the evolving epidemic more effectively than any democrat did, or could. And he has done what he can do within the limits of the federal system, to take down the anarchists who control democrat cities. Hence, I will vote for him. But the second term he deserves will not be successful if we fail to maintain control of the Senate, to implement his agenda and to ensure the approval of judges who, unlike those Obama appointed, adhere to the Constitution. Therefore, I also intend to vote for you.

    It is clear to me, as it is to most people who are paying attention, that Democrats and their mainstream media allies are playing a shell game. Joe Biden is their nominal presidential candidate. Initially, they cast him as lunch bucket Joe, a moderate from Scranton PA who would appeal to white voters in battleground states. They rigged the primary to ensure that he won. Then, to prevent the Bolsheviks from exiting their party over this, and to insulate themselves from social media thugs, they had Biden adopt the Bernie Sanders agenda. And now, he claims to be the most progressive candidate in history.

    But this transformation has not been all beer and skittles. For Biden’s mental acuity is now in a state of rapid decline. That is why they have been hiding him in the basement, wearing a mask, to ward off the corona virus It is also why they selected Kamala Harris. She appeals to the party for three (3) reasons: First, she embodies their identity politics criteria. Second, she is the kind of person who will do their bidding with no remorse. Third, she provides an answer to the successorship question, which was a major concern to their big donors.

    Lest we forget, Harris told us mawkishly that as “little girl” she was mortified by Biden’s opposition to forced busing. Perhaps. But then we later learned that as an adult, indeed as the Attorney General of California she was put black minor offenders in the grey bar hotel indefinitely and laughed about it. That is the kind of individual we are dealing with.

    What does the vice-presidential nomination mean to someone like that? Someone who failed to attract more than 2% of democrat voters in the primaries? Simple. With an ailing front runner, she becomes the president in waiting, without winning a single primary. At the same time, it solves Biden’s problem when his brain freezes. And, after he wins the election, like the old soldier in the dark barracks ballad Mac Arthur spoke of in his farewell speech to the West Point corps of cadets, he can just—fade away.

    But because Biden is fading and Harris is waiting—to become president, she must be subjected to a higher level of scrutiny than would otherwise apply to a vice presidential candidate. Instead, what we are seeing is a full- blown cover-up. The New York Times is promoting her as a “pragmatic moderate” when in fact she is neither one. Nevertheless, she will be portrayed that way to low information voters across the wasteland of contemporary “journalism”. However, if you examine her record, it becomes obvious that she is nothing of the kind. Harris is a radical with totalitarian proclivities, who would impose an Orwellian agenda that would destroy our republic. This not idle speculation, or partisan “spin”. Harris’ record to date confirms it. Those who support the Constitution-be they conservative or liberal-must help voters understand why this should matter to them.

    Unfortunately, the corporations that own mainstream media and the geeks in Silicon Valley are determined to censor and suppress all negative information about Harris, including the details of her checkered career, her crass opportunism, her moral defects, to substitute in their stead and place, an airbrushed image of her and to play the race card against anyone who questions her fitness for the highest office in the land. More broadly, their goal is to transform the United States into a post constitutional polity that is globalist as opposed to nationalist, deeply divided by race and gender, and Orwellian in design, in order to advance their business model, and utopian vision. They see Kamala Harris the same way they saw Obama, as their change agent. But like Satan himself, Obama is a skillful retail politician. Harris is not. Cold and calculating is what she is.

    As the vice-presidential candidate, Harris will attack Trump with false charges, and as long as he is not on the same stage, she can achieve the dramatic moment. Vice President Pence will respond to her attacks to be sure. But he will not get down in the mud with her. Then, mainstream media will amplify her charges while discounting his rebuttal. And like Obama, she will be carefully choreographed by her handlers so she does not wander off script, or reveal who she really is. As a result, voters will never learn the truth about Harris, and what she would actually do to them if she became president.

    But if Trump and Harris were to debate each other directly, on the same stage, then the public would see for themselves who and what Harris really is. And history suggests, she would fold in the face of a vigorous counter attack, which Trump would deliver. That is exactly what occurred in the primary when Tulsi Gabbard exposed Harris’ ugly record on minorities as California AG. The powerful challenge Harris received in that forum ended her campaign. Now she is pursuing the same goal indirectly, as the successor to Biden. If she had to face Trump on the stage, he would do to her what Tulsi did. Then, it would be game over for Harris, the Senate would be secure, and the House would be in play.

    As things stand, Biden has agreed to debate Trump. Hyper-partisan hacks like Tom Freidman of the New York Times are urging Biden to renege on that commitment. Turd blossom Karl Rove claims it would be tantamount to political suicide for Biden to back out of his commitment to debate, because ever since the 1960 election, televised debates between candidates have become an integral part of the process. The Trump campaign wants the first debate to occur before the absentee ballots go out. Nothing is settled. Thus, there is time and opportunity for a proposal like this, to vet this “president in waiting”. If the democrats accept the proposal, Trump gains a valuable opportunity to rebut her lies in the moment. If they reject it, he can tell the public that they are trying to do a bait and switch, without a proper vetting. Thus, either way, he wins

    The proposal would be to have four (4) debates, commencing on September 1.
    President Trump debates Biden (the presidential nominee)
    President Trump debates Harris (the president-in-waiting)
    Vice President Pence debates Harris (the vice-presidential nominee)
    Vice President Pence debates Biden (the former vice president)

    Granted, this is not the sort of thing I would suggest to an incumbent in normal times. The arguments against it are self-evident, beginning with the fact that it would elevate Harris to the presidential level immediately, and diminish the perceived advantage of debating Sleepy Joe. Consequently, the knee jerk reaction of democrats would be to accept it, and republicans to reject it for precisely those reasons, without thinking it through to the next step. (infra).

    But these are not normal times. Mainstream media is polluting the airways with Trump hate, painting a benign image of Harris to make low information voters believe she an attractive candidate, and presenting her as the president in waiting. At the same time, they are hiding who she really is, what she will do and the agenda of the dark movers behind her (Soros included) that are supporting chaos that engulfs our major cities, and seeking to replace our constitutional republic with a totalitarian system they control.

    Meanwhile, social media companies who have de facto control of the internet, and an exemption from Congress, are silencing conservative voices including the President and his supporters through biased algorithms designed by internal partisan hacks, and biased fact checkers with direct ties to Harris herself, even as their CEOs swear under oath to Congress that they have no partisan agenda.

    The November 2020 election involves something that is far more important than Donald Trump’s personality, although mainstream media would have us believe it only about that (and the corona virus). For it will determine the policies to be adopted, their impact on American citizens, and, ultimately, whether this nation remains a constitutional republic with civil liberties intact. Therefore, voters must have all the facts, rather than the hyper partisan tripe they are now being fed by mainstream media twenty-four hours a day for the past four years. Only then can voters make an informed choice about their future.

    If past is prologue, Trump will debate Biden. The outcome of that exchange is predictable. Republicans believe that will be game-set-match. But all it will do is convince voters to turn to Harris as the president in waiting. When she debates Vice President Pence, the media will pull a Candy Crowley, put their fat thumb on the scale, and declare Harris won. On the other hand, if Harris faced Trump on the same stage the dynamics would be different. For unlike the media moderators he would expose her. No politician in history has the debating skills, the command of the facts and the ability to think as quickly on his feet as he does. By contrast, Harris is a novice, with a perverse agenda, who can throw a punch (as she did against Biden), but cannot take a one (as we saw in the colloquy with Tulsi). These assumptions auger in favor of the above proposal.

    Senator, those are my thoughts on the subject. I am not asking you to agree or disagree with them. All I am want you to do, provided you are willing, is to pass this letter along to the Trump campaign, as the views of one of your constituents, so it does not get lost in the shuffle. Then, the campaign can decide for itself whether any of these thoughts and suggestions are potentially useful. I will attempt to get them to Mark Levin as well.

The reason is this is inside baseball and I am an outsider, who like many of us despair over the possibility that our country will be taken over and ruined by the lowest members of the human specie.   25. Gonzo–many years ago, I needed a job. I applied to hundreds of organizations through a headhunter who wasn’t worth a shit. I wrote letters to well known people, like Steve Wynn, who did not have anything in his organization, but was good enough to circulate my resume around Las Vegas with his recommendation. I have always liked him for that gesture.

    I also wrote a very nice letter to Donald Trump, with my resume, and mentioned that I had had the privilege of playing his course in Mamaroneck 15 miles North of the city, the site of four US Opens. I never heard squat back. Maybe it never reached him. Maybe it did. As a result, I have no feelings toward him personally.

    For that reason, I can understand why many people do not like him personally, although I have it on good authority, namely Bill Barr, that if you are part of his team, he is charming and a superb executive. I believe that is the God’s truth. And for me that is the entire point.

    What I cannot understand is people who have such a visceral reaction to him personally, that they are blind as a bat to what he has done to restore our nation to greatness, and to create a state of prosperity where all boats rise with the tide. They remind me of the old saw about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

    I would like to tell those people wake the fuck up, get your TLC at home, but do not dismiss all the good this man has done because of your pettiness. As Jimmy Stewart said in the movie Anatomy of A Murder, nobody is all one thing. Simply put, the results he produced in the past before the plague and what he will produce in the future–if you care about the country, that is all that counts.

    So I do not fancy having a signed picture from him, or a Trump hat. But neither do I question those that do. Every campaign has its bobbles. And many people want them, the same way fans at baseball games hope to get a souvenir baseball. Many of these same people voted for Bush because they believed he was someone they could have a beer with, and for Obama because he bamboozled them, and triggered their magic thinking.

    But if they care about the country, then personal feelings must be put aside. And direct appeals to emotion must be resisted. The only question that matters as president would this person make ouir country stronger and my life better. Everything else is bullshit.

    I was sick tonight. Migrain, upset stomach, lower gi, you know the drill. Went to the emergency room. They took my temperature, blood pressure, listened to the cardiac, etc. After all that, a doctor came in the room and introduced himself. At that point, the following conversation occurred.

    Dr.: how are you feeling right now?

    Me: not good, but a little better than when I was home.

    Dr: then I take it you are improving

    Me: I guess so

    Dr: I have looked at the charts and the vital signs.

    Me: yes. So what do you think is wrong me?

    Dr. there is nothing wrong with you, physically.

    Me: well that is a relief.

    Me: but if there is nothing wrong with me why do I feel like shit?

    Dr: before I answer that question I will say I have seen four other patients in the last hour. Some of them feel physically ill, some are agitated and some complain that they cannot stay awake.

    Dr: and the one thing they all have in common is they made the mistake of watching the democrat convention, so my advice to them and to you is stay away from the television for the rest of the week.

But my best recollection of him was when he had delusions of running for president and got caught on camera trail wolfing down a some food, doggy style.     After night one of the first of the COVID conventions I can see why the Republicans are playing coy about their plans for next week. It might just be best to reduce it to one big drunken Zoom meeting rather than try to create any sense of normalcy.

    The DNC gave it a whirl but, hoo boy, was it a little off.

    A series of individually recorded remote speeches gave it a “Gee we’re sorry we can’t be there for your 90th birthday, Uncle Joe,” vibe. That’s perfectly fine when it’s Uncle Joe’s 90th birthday but it’s not as fun if it’s Uncle Joe’s 90th attempt at becoming President of the United States. And Uncle Joe isn’t even at his own party to watch because he’s in the basement.

    One of the more perplexing things was the DNC giving a speaking slot to former Ohio governor and noted mailman’s son John Kasich. Kasich brings slightly less excitement than dryer lint to any gathering he graces but what was most amusing was that during the somnambulant lead-up to the DNC, the Democrats were acting like Kasich was a real big get for them.

    He’s a milquetoast squish Republican who no Republicans like anymore so he tucked tail and went begging for attention crumbs from the Democrats, which is the way of the spineless squishes. After backstabbing his own party to score points with the Democrats and their flying monkeys in the media, Kasich then — as Matt details at Townhall — crapped all over his hosts by disparaging Bartender of the Year Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

    The DNC may not have given AOC a long speaking “slot” for this week but she is still the party darling to younger Democrats. Kasich wasn’t going to win over any Republicans to Biden. He did, however, manage to annoy some of the progressives who the Democrats should be treading lightly with right now.

    The DNC had a few other faux Republicans speaking on Monday. The only thing they had in common is that no Republican under 50 remembers any of them and they’re trying to feel relevant by doing useful idiot turns for the Democrats. They will be winning no hearts, minds, or voters. Other than the “LOOK! Republicans badmouthing Trump!” narrative it’s difficult to figure out what the DNC’s calculus for trotting out these losers was.

    Bernie Sanders gave his socialist pitch to the DNC “crowd” while sitting in front of all of the firewood in America, which was weird. Bernie was predictably anti-Trump, but not so much pro-Biden. We all know that’s going to be the real theme for the Democrats going forward.

    If the Trump-bashing is all they’ve got I like his chances more and more. Kamala Harris hasn’t electrified the Democrats quite like the media would have you believe. There may be a little post-convention bounce when the DNC is over, but it probably won’t be as big as in normal years.

    Let’s be honest, the real fun at every DNC and RNC is watching the freak show of people covered in buttons and weird hats. Bernie in front of a cord of winter wood just isn’t bringing the magic. John Kasich in an empty field is a cry for help.

    The DNC is using celebrity hosts every night of the convention, dipping into the same playbook that failed to win votes in the heartland for Hillary Clinton in 2016. The Democrats’ attachment to celebrities is a habit they just can’t seem to break. Celebs appeal to voters who the Democrats are already going to win, however. The voters they need back aren’t going to be terribly moved by the presence of Eva Longoria.

    But hey, if they want to keep going down this path in order to connect with the common folk, I’m not going to talk them out of it.

    The DNC could still rally this week and make people pay the right kind of attention but does anyone really think that Grandpa Gropes is going to wow the virtual throng with his acceptance speech?

    I’ll leave you with what the DNC left their faithful with last night. It’s spectacularly awful but the brain trust over there thought this was a winner.

The reaction of the Washington establishment to Trump is the reaction of a community that was too blind, too stupid, and frankly too arrogant to see the populist reaction to their greed coming and to do what clearly could have been done to co opt it. The catalyst for it was the change from an industrial to an information based economy and the abject failure of the elites to compensate the losers in megapolitical change–as would typically be done in any successful merger. Instead the elites took the easy way out and blamed the rest of them. Now, because they chose the wrong path, and are threatened all they can do is indulge in Trump hate, which is the golden handshake in their community, and repeat the same mantra.

White males accepted males of color first so they could grow their numbers without losing control of the upper end of the playing field. They used this against Hillary in 2007 with BO. Measures are pursuing to prevent or mitigate the usual consequences of such outrages, and with the hope of their succeeding at least to avert general hostility.

    A letter from the Emperor of Morocco announces to me his recognition of our treaty made with his father, the late Emperor, and consequently the continuance of peace with that power. With peculiar satisfaction I add that information has been received from an agent deputed on our part to Algiers importing that the terms of the treaty with the Day and Regency of that country had been adjusted in such a manner as to authorize the expectation of a speedy peace and the resolution of our unfortunate fellow citizens from a grievous captivity.

    The latest advices from our envoy at the Court of Madrid give, moreover, the pleasing information that he had assurances of a speedy and satisfactory conclusion of his negotiation. While the event depending upon unadjusted particulars can not be regarded as ascertained, it is agreeable to cherish the expectation of an issue which, securing amicably very essential interests of the United States, will at the same time lay the foundation of lasting harmony with a power whose friendship we have uniformly and sincerely desired to cultivate.

    Though not before officially disclosed to the House of Representatives, you, gentlemen, are all apprised that a treaty of amity, commerce, and navigation has been negotiated with Great Britain, and that the Senate have advised and consented to its ratification upon a condition which excepts part of one article. Agreeably thereto, and to the best judgment I was able to form of the public interest after full and mature deliberation, I have added my sanction. The result on the part of His Britannic Majesty is unknown. When received, the subject will without delay be placed before Congress.

    This interesting summary of our affairs with regard to the foreign powers between whom and the United States controversies have subsisted, and with regard also to those of our Indian neighbors with whom we have been in a state of enmity or misunderstanding, opens a wide field for consoling and gratifying reflections. If by prudence and moderation on every side the extinguishment of all the causes of external discord which have heretofore menaced our tranquillity, on terms compatible with our national rights and honor, shall be the happy result, how firm and how precious a foundation will have been laid for accelerating, maturing, and establishing the prosperity of our country.

    Contemplating the internal situation as well as the external relations of the United States, we discover equal cause for contentment and satisfaction. While many of the nations of Europe, with their American dependencies, have been involved in a contest unusually bloody, exhausting, and calamitous, in which the evils of foreign war have been aggravated by domestic convulsion and insurrection; in which many of the arts most useful to society have been exposed to discouragement and decay; in which scarcity of subsistence has imbittered other sufferings; while even the anticipations of a return of the blessings of peace and repose are alloyed by the sense of heavy and accumulating burthens, which press upon all the departments of industry and threaten to clog the future springs of government, our favored country, happy in a striking contrast, has enjoyed tranquillity – a tranquillity the more satisfactory because maintained at the expense of no duty. Faithful to ourselves, we have violated no obligation to others.

    Our agriculture, commerce, and manufactures prosper beyond former example, the molestations of our trade (to prevent a continuance of which, however, very pointed remonstrances have been made) being overbalanced by the aggregate benefits which it derives from a neutral position. Our population advances with a celerity which, exceeding the most sanguine calculations, proportionally augments our strength and resources, and guarantees our future security.

    Every part of the Union displays indications of rapid and various improvement; and with burthens so light as scarcely to be perceived, with resources fully adequate to our present exigencies, with governments founded on the genuine principles of rational liberty, and with mild and wholesome laws, is it too much to say that our country exhibits a spectacle of national happiness never surpassed, if ever before equaled?

    Placed in a situation every way so auspicious, motives of commanding force impel us, with sincere acknowledgment to Heaven and pure love to our country, to unite our efforts to preserve, prolong, and improve our immense advantages. To cooperate with you in this desirable work is a fervent and favorite wish of my heart.

    It is a valuable ingredient in the general estimate of our welfare that the part of our country which was lately the scene of disorder and insurrection now enjoys the blessings of quiet and order. The misled have abandoned their errors, and pay the respect to our Constitution and laws which is due from good citizens to the public authorities of the society. These circumstances have induced me to pardon generally the offenders here referred to, and to extend forgiveness to those who had been adjudged to capital punishment. For though I shall always think it a sacred duty to exercise with firmness and energy the constitutional powers with which I am vested, yet it appears to me no less consistent with the public good than it is with my personal feelings to mingle in the operations of Government every degree of moderation and tenderness which the national justice, dignity, and safety may permit.

    Among the objects which will claim your attention in the course of the session, a review of our military establishment is not the least important. It is called for by the events which have changed, and may be expected still further to change, the relative situation of our frontiers. In this review you will doubtless allow due weight to the considerations that the questions between us and certain foreign powers are not yet finally adjusted, that the war in Europe is not yet terminated, and that our Western posts, when recovered, will demand provisionfor garrisoning and securing them. A statement of our present military force will be laid before you by the Department of War.

    With the review of our Army establishment is naturally connected that of the militia. It will merit inquiry what imperfections in the existing plan further experience may have unfolded. The subject is of so much moment in my estimation as to excite a constant solicitude that the consideration of it may be renewed until the greatest attainable perfection shall be accomplished. Time is wearing away some advantages for forwarding the object, while none better deserves the persevering attention of the public councils.

    While we indulge the satisfaction which the actual condition of our Western borders so well authorizes, it is necessary that we should not lose sight of an important truth which continually receives new confirmations, namely, that the provisions heretofore made with a view to the protection of the Indians from the violences of the lawless part of our frontier inhabitants are insufficient. It is demonstrated that these violences can now be perpetrated with impunity, and it can need no argument to prove that unless the murdering of Indians can be restrained by bringing the murderers to condign punishment, all the exertions of the Government to prevent destructive retaliations by the Indians will prove fruitless and all our present agreeable prospects illusory. The frequent destruction of innocent women and children, who are chiefly the victims of retaliation, must continue to shock humanity, and an enormous expense to drain the Treasury of the Union.

    To enforce upon the Indians the observance of justice it is indispensable that there shall be competent means of rendering justice to them. If these means can be devised by the wisdom of Congress, and especially if there can be added an adequate provision for supplying the necessities of the Indians on reasonable terms (a measure the mention of which I the more readily repeat, as in all the conferences with them they urge it with solicitude), I should not hesitate to entertain a strong hope of rendering our tranquillity permanent. I add with pleasure that the probability even of their civilization is not diminished by the experiments which have been thus far made under the auspices of Government. The accomplishment of this work, if practicable, will reflect undecaying luster on our national character and administer the most grateful consolations that virtuous minds can know.

    Gentlemen of the House of Representatives:

    The state of our revenue, with the sums which have been borrowed and reimbursed pursuant to different acts of Congress, will be submitted from the proper Department, together with an estimate of the appropriations necessary to be made for the service of the ensuing year.

    Whether measures may not be advisable to reinforce the provision of the redemption of the public debt will naturally engage your examination. Congress have demonstrated their sense to be, and it were superfluous to repeat mine, that whatsoever will tend to accelerate the honorable extinction of our public debt accords as much with the true interest of our country as with the general sense of our constituents.

    Gentlemen of the Senate and of the House of Representatives:

    Lu—one thing you may not know is that the original draft of the 1964 civil rights act made no mention of women. The segregationist democrats who opposed the act itself introduced an amendment to include a prohibition against discrimination on the basis of sex. This was to have been a poison pill to kill the bill, but inspite of their machinations, the bill inclusive of the language passed. The trouble, big trouble which led predictably to the spoils system we have now came with the 1972 Amendments which codified the perverse doctrine of affirmative action, which is reverse discrimination which is now being practiced more against Asians at places like Harvard, and everywhere else. The 1964 bill sought equal opportunity only and it expressly forbid quotas. The 1972 Amendments introduced a quota system which was passed off as goals and time table but was in fact quotas. And to that I can only repeat what Chief Justice Hale of the Washington State Supreme Court said about it at the time, namely that the circle of inequality will never be broken by shifting the inequities from one individual to his neigbor. The architect of the race problem today are white liberals whose perverse policies perpetuated its worst elements.

The topic of discussion was Gingrich, the threat his (populist) policies posed to their opulent community evidence by the fact that if a particular administrative agency was defunded one of their friends might lose a parttime job. It NEVER occured to any of them that during the same time frame, 4.5 million jobs which families relied on for survival were being shipped wholesale to China in pursuit of the holy grail of free trade–not fair trade, remember Smoot Hawley etc. Just think of it. Today there are 30,000 bureaucrats in Washington many of them mere paper pushers with seniority making salaries iin excess of $180,000 per year plus lucrative benefits. To people like them–and this includes democrat judges who have abandoned the rule of law and behave like politicians in black robes, Trump is a threat to all of them and the long cocktail line on Embassy Row when they fail to serve the interests of the country. This explains in full their hysterical reaction, their arrogance, their sense of superiority, their contempt for the country, why they supported a douche bag like Obama, and why a true republican will never win an election in the four counties surrounding Washington. The only hope I have is that the violence they have unleashed on the country finds its way to their doorstep. Then there would be accountablity.

    Virginia state law gives the Commissioner of Health the authority to mandate immediate immunizations during a public health crisis if a vaccine is available. Health officials say an immunization could be released as early as 2021.

    Interestingly, one CNN panel I heard stated that the Republicans should adopt the DNC method for its convention. That comment caused me to snort a mouthful of pretty decent single barrel bourbon out of my nose. If you watched any of the past three days, you can imagine why.

    That was followed almost immediately afterwards by the Chairman of the DNC in his opening remarks, where he “hoped that his Republican friends would go the same route” the Democrats did in their convention…all in the name of safety of course.

    What we surmised, or were pretty darned sure of earlier, is virtually a certainty. The leftists are terrified of videos showing President Trump in front of a crowd…even a crowd of only a few hundred people. They have seen what a snoozer their convention was and want to lock President Trump and the Republican team into the same paradigm.

    That ain’t gonna happen folks. Donald J. Trump ain’t an idiot. He is however a showman and knows what moves the entertainment needle. My prediction is that the Republican convention will have very little pre-recorded pap that no one listens to. Instead, the producers will attempt to keep as much live and in person as possible. Which shouldn’t be too hard if they use the model POTUS has been using lately….small (1,000 or so people) at airports and other outdoor venues. Remember, an applauding crowd is an applauding crowd….as long as the camera angle is right.

    Remember, like anything Democrats propose, it’s almost never for their stated reason. There is always a nefarious purpose to their proposals. Sometimes, as they did during the final night of the Donkey show this week, they showed a little leg. The Democrats have displayed their “tell.” I just hope there are some Texas Hold ‘em players on the RNC convention production staff.

    Someday someone may come up with a cogent explanation of why they think conservatives don’t sin, or if they do sin, it makes them some sort of hypocrit.

    Everyone sins. Conservatives, or at least the Christian ones, acknowledge that, and also realize that forgiveness is the one single thing we seek from God, and are given it when we ask and are contrite.

    Liberals and anti-theists have no morals so they think they don’t commit sins. They do, of course, they just don’t acknowlege it. They may not think they need God, but everyone does.

    Liberals claim that conservatives sin against “social justice” whatever that might be this week, but there is no metric for that. Liberals just use that as a bashing tool, but it means nothing.

    Getting straight with God is an ongoing, constant process. Everybody sins, some in some ways and some in others. No body is immune, and all need forgiveness. Those who claim otherwise are the hypocrites.
