The pandemic crisis has created a Dem-Panic. The strong American economy President Trump created from the ashes of the corrupt Obama-Biden “managed decline” destruction of America made POTUS Trump’s reelection inevitable. Once the Communist Chinese CoronaVirus hit, Obama Dimocrats became joyous. Obama Dimocrats thought the Trump Economic Miracle would be destroyed with a recession they long desired as the only way to win against President Trump. But then President Trump’s remarkable leadership and newfound status as a “wartime” President thwarted the schemes and plots of Obama Dimocrats. Now the Obama Dimocrats have a new plot, more schemes to destroy President Trump even if that means destroying America. Obama Dimocrats will fail in these latest plots. President Trump will continue to win as he leads the nation with an agenda he ran on in 2016, been tested since then, and proven correct in 2020.

Before we examine the latest plots against President Trump and America let’s look at the mess Obama Dimocrats find themselves in. First and foremost the Dem-Panic is a product of Sleepy Slo’ Joe Biden’s likely nomination as the Dim presidential candidate. No, it is not his increasingly comic verbal stumbles nor his Lucy Ricardo style attempts to be recognized as a great talent. No, this is real news with real implications for stumblin’ bumblin’ slo’ mo’ sleepy Joe.

The Democratic National Committee is postponing the party’s presidential nominating convention in Milwaukee to Aug. 17, the week before the Republican Party’s convention.

The delay from July 13 came after likely nominee Joe Biden publicly called for the convention to be rescheduled in response to the coronavirus pandemic. [snip]

In addition to postponing, DNC officials are discussing ways to scale back the convention. The committee is not flush with cash and wants to avoid the appearance of throwing a big party in the midst of a severe economic downturn. [snip]

…Biden will not have as much time to enjoy a potential polling bounce before the Republican National Convention begins dominating coverage. [snip]

The new dates also complicate the Biden campaign’s financial situation, because it will not be able to access general election funds until August instead of July. [snip]

The coronavirus has undoubtedly taken a toll on Biden’s fundraising just as he was starting to pull in record sums for his campaign. [snip]

“It’s amazing how much you save if you don’t put on rallies and have to fly across the country every day,” an adviser said.

If you don’t bust a gut laughing after reading that sad spin from Politico you must be having a very tough time these days either not working, working too much, or tending to loved ones and friends. Our condolences and sympathy. But think of all that nonsense about Sleepy Joe via Politico and what it really means if you remove the happy spin.

The DNC has little to no money. The GOP will stomp on whatever traction is gained by the Dim Slumber Convention within the week. Sleepy Slo’ Joe is still having trouble raising money for his doomed crusade. But the good news according to Sleepy Slo’ Joe’s dim-witted adviser is “It’s amazing how much you save if you don’t put on rallies and have to fly across the country every day” campaigning and interacting with voters. Huh? You certainly can save money in a political campaign if you don’t campaign or get out of the basement!

What a fun convention that’s going to be! DNC and Slo’ Biden officials are anxious for the DNC Slumber Convention to “scale back” because because they don’t want Sleepy Slo’ Joe to lose sleep time. Or is it the fear that Creepy Joe will have to answer questions about that woman who must be believed when she said Biden “penetrated her with his fingers without consent“. Grab-her-by-the-labia-Joe does not want to talk about his turgid leg hairs as they are rubbed by little boys and girls bouncing on his lap or this latest accusation out of many in the past. It’s gonna be a fun convention all right.

Imagine the extra added fun at the Slumber Convention if Bernie Sanders supporters or Bernie Sanders himself realize that the CoronaVirus is a boon to his campaign. Think about it Bernie Bros: This is the time for Socialism! Grab the day! There’s lots of economic distress and this is when Socialists promise lots of free things. Hey, FDR even had a socialist Secretary of Agriculture during the Great Depression who became the Secretary of Commerce and even the VP! Imagine if the Bernie Sanders’ campaign wakes up and realizes this is their golden opportunity to realize Andrew Yang’s thousand dollar per month per citizen (or are illegals included too?) spendapalooza!

Ah, who are we kidding? The Bernie Bros and Bernie have no imagination. They can only hallucinate about the great Socialist dreams. Bernie will have to go back to his several houses and endorse Sleepy Creepy.

The Obama Dims know neither Sleepy Creepy Slo’ Joe nor Socialist Bernie can beat President Trump. They once thought a recession would be the only way to defeat PDT. So they cheered on a recession, then talked up a recession last year as a sure thing until those dreams crashed with a booming economy in November. As Bill Maher repeatedly observed of the strategy: “Can I ask about the economy because this economy is going pretty well? I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I’m hoping for it. Because I think one way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So, please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.”

Recession did not come so the continued mad conspiracy dreams about Russia and Ukraine and Mueller and all the rest were tried. That didn’t work. At the dawn of 2020 the Communist China CoronaVirus hit then Obama Dimcrats got what appears to be a rapid and deep recession. A recession is defined as two quarters of economic decline so we still don’t know if this is a dictionary definition “recession”. Still, because the entire world is suffering economically Obama Dimocrats can’t blame President Trump for the economic problems. And in either case Obama Dimocrats have to be afraid that the economy will rapidly return to full force under President Trump once the Red Chinese CoronaVirus hysteria is over.

Also, even if the U.S. economy is in recession, it is still the strongest economy in the world. In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king. The U.S. might only have one eye but the rest of the world economies are blind.

Next on the plate for Obama Dimocrats was an attempt to blame President Trump for the response to the crisis. But President Trump has been so active, so productive, has received so much praise, the Obama Dims realized Presidential Leadership is the issue this election and President Trump is a leader whom even Dims have praised. At the end, even Sleepy Joe had to take back his “racist” “xenophobe” attacks against President Trump and admit that President Trump was right to impose a travel ban on China.

Failure after failure from and for Obama Dimocrats. So Obama Dimocrats came up with a new scheme: finagle with the general elections via schemes that make election theft easy peasy. Nancy Pelousy tried to get billions for her schemes during the 2.2 trillion dollar economic law recently passed. Pelousy did not get her early voting schemes money so she is about to try again. But President Trump is ready to fight:

During an appearance on Fox News this week, Trump pushed back against an effort by House Democrats to secure billions of dollars for election assistance in the coronavirus relief package. The bill Trump ultimately signed included $400 million, a fraction of what Democrats had been seeking.

“The things they had in there were crazy. They had things, levels of voting that if you’d ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again,” Trump said. [snip]

“It is beyond disgusting that the Democrats are using this crisis to try to dismantle the integrity of our voting system,” said Justin Clark, a senior Trump campaign counsel who is helping to spearhead the legal fight. “The American people won’t stand for this, and the campaign and the party intend to fight with them for a free, fair, and open vote in November.”

Clark pointed to so-called community ballot collection — an idea embraced by some Democrats that would allow local organizations and individuals to collect ballots from voters at their homes — as something the Trump campaign would fight.

It’s an out and out Dem-Panic!!! Obama Dimocrats know they can’t win the election. Obama Dimocrats will now steal the election:

Consensus is growing that Democrats and Republicans will soon hash out a new coronavirus emergency package in the coming weeks. But a major obstacle is emerging: the November election.

Democrats are making a push to expand funding for vote-by-mail efforts in a fourth emergency rescue package, citing the need to help states prepare to hold elections during the coronavirus pandemic. It’s a public health issue, Democrats argue: That elections carried out as usual could spread the virus this fall.

There we go. The reason why Obama Dimocrats persist in pushing panic among the populace with the Communist Chinese CoronaVirus infection is to argue that infection will occur if voting is allowed to proceed as scheduled. Even during the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 no one dared suggest elections be cancelled or procedures altered. The Dem-Panic demands election theft be made easier.

Even RINOs like Senator Lamar! Alexander of Tennessee deplore the absurdity, “Around the world we’ve had people in new democracies go to vote when their lives were at risk because the right to vote was so precious.” “Most Americans would be very skeptical of significant changes in our ability to go cast a ballot in person, certainly at this point.”

Election crook Nancy Pelousy and Sleepy Slo’ Joe want $4 billion in additional money to help Obama Dimocrats steal the November 2020 elections.

Think about that. Obama Dimocrats want to insteal, er, install a new voting system via a panic they have encouraged even though every model of the CoronaVirus by all the so-called “experts” has been wrong as we have repeatedly written. Even the latest models have been wrong. Absolutely wrong.

These phony experts won’t admit they don’t know what they are talking about. Oh, but mitigation and social distancing is working – they claim. That’s like saying that a New Yorker that wears a bird’s nest on her head to keep elephants away can claim the bird’s nest kept the elephants away because there are none to be seen. For people who worship at the altar of science, they sure do come up with plenty of witch doctor nostrums.

Speaking of witch doctors – Fauci wants to keep the country closed to business until there is no more CoronaVirus – in other words till the end of never. Peter Navarro is fighting back against the witch doctors in a prelude of the coming battle to open the country back up and stop the Dem-panic pandemic.

Even Dim hero Nate Silver, the self-styled statistician, declares that “Coronavirus Case Counts Are Meaningless“. Yet the Dims that ordinarily praise their precious Nate Silver are too panic stricken about the election results to understand they are making things worse for themselves.

Once the economy starts to recover all the doomsday crackpots will face judgement by the electorate. President Trump, like Winston Churchill is a wise wartime President. The enemy is not just an invisible disease. The ultimate enemy is the pandemic Obama Dimocrats, Big Media, and the Dem-Panic they see as the only way to win.

The Dem-Panic is not an only American phenomenon. Globalists are worried as corrupt African governments are poised to fall as citizens refuse to listen to illogical arguments. The entire globalist lunacy is at the breaking point:

“Today the EU does not have the means to respond to the crisis in a united front. If it does not prove that it exists, it will cease to exist,” they warned.

At first Obama Dimocrats cheered as the “Boomer Remover” threatened to kill older Trump voters. But now, it is clear, its a BLUE FLU. It is Obama Dimocrat strongholds whose populations are going deep blue death. New York, LA, SF, Dallas, N’Awlins, Washington State, will have fewer voters this November so elections will have to be stolen.

The totalitarian left is in mortal danger. Therefore the Dem-Panic.

Obama Dimocrats also want to give illegal aliens the same cash payments as American citizens. That will be popular in Mexico and other sources of illegal migration but we doubt that is a wise election proposal. It’s a desperate last minute ploy – a product of a Dem-Panic pandemic.

    Stop the panic. Don’t let the coronavirus win.
    COVID-19 is a public health emergency, but precautions must be proportionate to the risk. The cure can’t be worse than the disease.

    In response to the coronavirus pandemic, democratic governments across the world have implemented unprecedented peacetime lockdowns. One California city is even using night vision equipped drones — made in China, ironically — to enforce it. A city in Washington encourages citizens to snitch on those who violate the “stay home” order.

    Let’s pause a moment to consider the serious ramifications of what we are doing.

    To combat a virus, some state and local governments have ordered everyone, including perfectly healthy people, to stay home for an undefined period of time. Travel has been curtailed. Americans abroad (like me) are stuck, not knowing when we can return home.

    The consequences of such draconian measures are potentially devastating and irreversible. With little to no public input, we eagerly have given up our basic rights, decided that economic health is entirely subservient to public health, and radically altered how our society functions.

    The justification given is that, without swift and decisive action, the United States is going to become “the next Italy.” A column in the New York Times went further, claiming that we will become the next Iran. Is that true?

    Can it be worse?
    Probably not. Let’s examine Italy.

    The case-fatality rate in that country is shocking, close to 12%. . But there are good reasons to believe that nothing even remotely close to that will occur in the U.S.

    First, the number of COVID-19 cases is likely underestimated — even in Italy — due to inadequate testing. That means mild or asymptomatic cases are undercounted, artificially inflating the case-fatality rate. The best data we have comes from South Korea, which screened nearly 400,000 people. That country’s case-fatality rate is 1.7%. In Germany, it’s 1.3%.

    Second, U.S. critical care infrastructure is vast. The U.S. has 34.2 critical care (ICU) beds per 100,000 people — the highest in the world — compared to 12.5 in Italy (and 29.2 in Germany). Of course, hospitals and supply chains for medical equipment will still be stressed, but the U.S. has an infrastructure advantage.

    Third, infectious disease models, which attempt to predict how widespread and how deadly COVID-19 will be, vary considerably. According to FiveThirtyEight, experts predict anywhere from thousands to 1 million American deaths. The consensus is 200,000 American deaths, but even that figure comes with a hefty dose of uncertainty.

    To put those figures into context, let’s consider influenza. The CDC estimates that the current flu season has sickened between 39 million and 55 million Americans and resulted in 24,000 to 63,000 deaths. (Seasonal flu has a case-fatality rate of approximately 0.1%.) Because flu season begins in October, all of these infections and deaths have occurred in a timespan of merely six months.

    A silver lining

    Will COVID-19 infect tens of millions of Americans like flu? Maybe. But there’s a silver lining.

    Though there are always exceptions in biology, the general rule of thumb is that there is an inverse relationship between infectiousness and lethality; that is, as one increases, the other decreases. As more data come in, COVID-19 might reveal itself to be either highly infectious with a low case-fatality rate or poorly infectious with a high case-fatality rate. The nightmare scenario of a highly infectious, highly lethal coronavirus is the least likely outcome.

    If the COVID-19 case-fatality rate is about 1%, as many experts think, that is still scary because it is ten times worse than seasonal flu. That is why some mitigating countermeasures — such as social distancing, isolation, and quarantines — are entirely appropriate to help slow the pandemic and ease the burden on the healthcare system.

    But we also must consider the unintended consequences of our actions. James Bullard, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, predicted that we are facing an unemployment rate of 30% and an unprecedented drop in GDP of 50%. Those numbers are worse than what we experienced during the Great Depression. Hopefully, the $2 trillion rescue package will prevent something that catastrophic.

    Obviously, a total economic collapse would tear at the fabric of society and also pose a threat to public health. And it raises the specter that our “cure” for COVID-19 may be far more harmful than the disease itself.

    In addition to the annual flu death toll mentioned above, car accidents claim another 40,000 American lives each year. Though the comparison is imperfect because car crashes aren’t infectious, the point is that we accept these risks as a matter of routine. Why? Because the alternative — banning cars and shutting down everyday life — is unacceptable. As it turns out, dying is one of the risks of living

    COVID-19 is without a doubt a public health emergency. However, precautions must be proportionate to the risk, and the pros and cons of every policy must be carefully weighed. In the midst of what appears to be outright global panic, it seems as if few of our leaders are actually doing this.

    After 9/11, we reminded each other not to overreact by saying, “Don’t let the terrorists win.” But right now, by slamming the brakes on daily life, our actions are letting the coronavirus win.

    The number of people hospitalized across the United States as a result of the novel coronavirus illness (COVID-19) is reportedly only a fraction of what some health experts projected a few days ago.

    On Monday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told reporters that in his state alone, the epicenter of the viral outbreak in the United States, new coronavirus hospitalizations dropped by about 75 percent, from 1,427 four days ago to 358 on Sunday. [snip]

    Jim Malatras, an aide for Gov. Cuomo, reportedly indicated that projections are now showing that New York is unlikely to need 110,000 hospital beds, as previously thought.

    The new forecasts show “a much lower demand” that stands in the estimated 20,000-30,000 range, Jesse McKinley, the New York Times bureau chief in the NY capital of Albany, wrote on Twitter on Monday.

    That means the new projections for the number of hospital beds needed in NY are between about 70 and 80 percent lower than initially estimated.

    On Monday, Gov. Cuomo acknowledged that the drop in hospitalizations in combination with other signs, like the fatalities remaining flat for the second day in a row and a drop in intensive care unit (ICU) admissions, suggest a “possible flattening of the curve.”

    Citing the figures contained in the White House-touted models created by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington, the Epoch Times noted on Sunday:

    While tens of thousands are hospitalized across the United States due to COVID-19, the numbers are a fraction of what experts predicted just a few days ago. The main reason appears to be that the [IHME] projections were already off the day they were released.

    Given that states with available data had a current hospitalization rate around 6 to 20 percent, if each of the no-data states had a rate of 20 percent, the hospitalizations for the whole country would add up to some 47,000 as of April 3 to 4.

    The IHME model expected about 114,000 to 181,000 hospital beds would be needed nationwide on April 3, and roughly 120,000 to 430,000 on April 16.

    That means the number of hospitalizations across the United States earlier this month was much less (at most about 40 percent of the forecasted figure) than the number predicted by the IHME model. [snip]

    The IHME predictions for New York also reflected a discrepancy between the institute’s forecasts and the actual number of hospitalizations.

    IHME predicted that NY would need 41,000 to 58,000 hospital beds for COVID-19 patients by April 1.

    Even by April 3, New York needed less than 16,000 hospital beds, the Epoch Times noted.

    RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: Democrats’ coronavirus voting plan – this is the way to undermine democracy

    After failing with their first left-wing laundry list disguised as coronavirus relief, Democratic leaders are already plotting their next attempt to use the pandemic for political gain.

    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and former Vice President Joe Biden say we must throw election integrity to the wayside in favor of an all-mail election, fundamentally changing how Americans vote in eight months. The overhaul would vastly expand opportunities for fraud and weaken confidence in our elections, but all Washington Democrats see is a potential benefit for their party.

    Pelosi says she needs $4 billion, at the height of the pandemic, to “really democratize our whole system.” Pardon those of us who thought we already had democratic elections.

    If it were about safety, why does Pelosi call for mandatory early voting in all states, forcing polls to be open “no less than 10 hours” every day for over two weeks before Election Day? Why do Democrats encourage public transportation use, which can increase exposure to viruses, by mandating polling places be within walking distance of a bus stop or metro? And why do Democrats want paid campaign operatives going door to door, collecting mountains of ballots? So much for social distancing.

    Because Democrats see the pandemic, as Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., said, as “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit?our vision.” And try to give themselves a political edge.

    The Democrats’ all-mail ballots proposal is a ruse to legalize ballot harvesting nationwide. Any person would be allowed to return an unlimited number of absentee ballots for voters, opening the door for political operatives to deliver ballots in bulk. They could even be paid as long as he or she is not paid based on the number of ballots returned.

    All voters “eligible to cast a vote” would receive a ballot. The problem: many states do not clean up their voter registration lists unless forced to. California had to remove up to 1.5 million ineligible voters due to a court settlement last year after its rolls showed registration of 112 percent. In other words, there were more registered voters than adults living in the state.

    At a time of so much uncertainty, we should not reduce confidence in our elections. Mail-in voting and ballot harvesting do just that, delaying results for days and even weeks. In California, a “stunning 5 million ballots,” over 40 percent of the vote, were counted after election day in 2018. Ballots with mismatched signatures had to be “given time to fix it.”

    When New Jersey expanded vote-by-mail in 2018 it sowed confusion, and officials left out 172,000 voters of its absentee list. Imagine the chaos of overhauling election systems in all 50 states in eight months.

    Mail-in voting increases the opportunity for fraud. Just ask the New York Times, which in 2012 documented numerous ways “fraud is easier by mail” and “vastly more prevalent” than in-person voting. The Times found “votes cast by mail are less likely to be counted, more likely to be compromised and more likely to be contested than those cast in a voting booth.”

    Voting by mail led to multiple elections where “no one can say with confidence which candidate was the deserved winner.” The Times pointed to an MIT study of the 2008 election finding millions of requested ballots that never reached voters, with a failure rate up to 21 percent. Fraud known as “granny farming” has emerged, where mail ballots are collected en masse from nursing homes, seniors are coerced and their ballots compromised.

    These flaws, the Times said, “raise questions about the most elementary promises of democracy.”

    Or ask Richard Hasen, an election law expert, and no right-winger. Hasen says the “most common kind of voter fraud” is through vote-by-mail ballots.

    “When voter fraud does occur or when voter coercion does occur, it tends to occur with absentee ballots,” he said in a 2016 interview. Hasen said absentee votes can be bought, and voters pressured. “When you’re in the privacy of the voting booth, that becomes impossible.”

    When New Jersey expanded vote-by-mail in 2018 it sowed confusion, and officials left out 172,000 voters of its absentee list. Imagine the chaos of overhauling election systems in all 50 states in eight months.

    The Republican Party will always defend free and fair elections, especially in times like these. That is why we will continue to fight and win against attempts by Democrats to use the pandemic as an excuse to circumvent election integrity.

    We are all in this fight together. We will get through it. But we will not throw out our most elementary promises of democracy, because agenda-driven Democrats do not want to let a pandemic go to waste.

    They have been testing and testing and around 10-12% have shown positive for Covid-19. We may not have seen the peak in deaths attributed to it. That will lag a bit. Of course, they will not actually have an anti-body test until May, so who knows what has actually been happening.

    JB, if you have been to my website, you would know I consider such articles Telecom propaganda. They have armies of people swamping us with that stuff but it is junk. The thing is that I experienced a reversal in health effects after mitigating exposures. So did Dana Ashlie. She had migraines from it that went away after mitigation.

    There have been approximately 38,000 studies on the health effects of microwave radiation and about half say one thing and half say another. But was the main difference in the studies was, who paid for it. 70% of studies independent of the Telecom industry funding showed harmful effects. I worked in the Chemical industry for 20 years. They simply buy enough biased research to pollute the research pool. And if the study does not support their positions it frequently just does not get published.

    Furthermore, 5G is not simple non-ionizing radiation. They are polarized, high power density fields of microwaves produced by antennas designed to overcome obstacles. Too bad for you if you are one of them.

  77. It has been for some time that I95 in Florida has been too toxic for me to drive. There are base stations every two miles or so. They give off fields of around 10,000 to 20,000 micro-watts per meter squared as you pass and I have seen 100,000 on elevation on the exits. Normal outside levels of radiation are up to 10 micro-watts per meter squared.

    I am guessing the frequencies used there have been up to 6 GHz or so. Now, during this event in Jacksonville, things will be really heating up. Jacksonville is in Duval County where 6% of the population is currently testing positive (vs 11% statewide).

    This is a fucking lie. The models already assumed maximum social distancing for their lowest estimates, but the reality is that the hospitalization/death rates are much lower than what they claimed would happen even if we had the absolute maximum amount of social distancing.

    Are we just so good at social distancing that we’ve shredded what is physically possible in a maximum?

    Or could it be that the models are just wrong?

    Are we ever allowed to suggest that?

    Lessons learned, we need to bring back manufacturing. Start by putting the people who lost their jobs to work making masks. I do not know if this is going to end soon or not. I saw something about a high reinfection rate but since they do not have a test for anti-bodies, I think that any kind of conclusions about that would be premature.

The mechanisms described are viral, but I live in a house partly contaminated by the local cell tower and I know that this stuff polarizes ferrous building materials. Yes, there are ferrous metals on my house under the influence of the cell tower and you can only attach one pole of a magnet to them, the other repels. And I have been describing them to you as POLARIZED, high power density fields of microwaves. That is part of the directional beam technology. And it is not the frequency that is doing it, it is the polarization and the power density fundamental to the technology.

    So far as I can tell, 5G does not involve much higher power densities that 4G. But the exposure time to the higher power densities, I am estimating has gone up a factor of about 20X. And I am sure the polarization has increased significantly. We have always been effected, but now it has reach a deadly level. Tired, disoriented and confused for years has now been escalated to dead.

    Well jb, I have a different take.

    I do not respect him for three reasons.

    First, because as you say, he caves.

    Second, because he is a neurosurgeon offering gratuitous medical opinions on matters outside his area of expertise, and he has not actually treated actual patients suffering from those diseases. (Note: what you and I refer to as curb stone opinions)

    Third, because his claim that the drug in question is not effective is rebutted by top doctors who are using it in their practices here and around the world and are reporting back that it is effective.

    Fourth, because his claim that it poses a severe risk to the heart is rebutted by the testimony of top cardiologists who have been prescribing it for thirty years, and have never had a problem.

    That said, he does have certain things going for him, things like being an advisor to Hillary, being offered the job of Surgeon General by Messiah Obama, writing a column for Time Magazine, and being listed in Forbes. But these attributes are as nothing compared to his greatest strength which is the ability to be earnest, and as Oscar Wilde noted that alone can be very very important.

    However, to be earnest in error is a much overrated virtue.

    Let me cut to the chase, and conclude with my favorite line: fuck him and the horse he rode in on. Now that I have said how I really feel about him, I feel much better. Good night to all.

    There have always been health concerns over each progressive generation of cellular. But the US never used their studies to set health limits.     But that’s where Gaga’s benefit will direct people to send donations. “In addition to raising awareness about social distancing measures that can slow the spread of the virus, the virtual special will encourage donations to WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, which provides protective equipment and medical supplies for healthcare workers,” according to Forbes.

    The WHO is obviously at the center of efforts to facilitate a global response to this global virus, but there are better partners than an organization that has made headlines for bending over backwards to defend the CCP amidst a tragedy it played a part in spreading worldwide.

    An editorial in National Review put it well when it said, “The record is clear: The WHO has lent its imprimatur to Chinese disinformation and blessed China’s slow response to its domestic outbreak, which likely caused a 20-fold increase in cases, according to a University of Southampton study.”

    As Richard Tren wrote in The Federalist, “The WHO praised and supported China in spite of the fact that Chinese authorities had been consistently attempting to cover up the pandemic and lied about it publicly.     All this to say Gaga and co. could have found a much better charity than the WHO. To be perfectly clear, I’m sure their efforts will be of great benefit to the brave health-care workers who need resources right now. I pray that’s the case.     I rarely disagree with your posts but I’m living in the worst hit area in the country right now. Even though we are better off than areas closer to NYC the threat here is real. I think people here can see that had we not quarantined ourselves, our local hospitals would have been overrun and overwhelmed and the situation would have been devastating and ugly. Our number of cases is still rising.
    I spoke with a neighbor today who is a volunteer ambulance driver and he told me he drove a 17 month old baby to the hospital today and it wasn’t good.

    That said when the numbers are going down or are under control, then I think people should start to normalize while taking precautions. If you live in an area with low infection rates then I do think people should get back to work. I think that by the end of April they will have much better data and more tests so that even my area can start to normalize. I also think they should be giving the hydroxy/ zinc meds to people before they require hospitalization and that will also be a game changer.

    Perhaps you have to be living in this situation to realize how insidious and contagious this virus is or picture our country without an annual flu vaccine. As the numbers here rise, my husband and I have become more and more cautious wearing masks and gloves on the rare occasions we venture to a store.
