If you take a look at the trends charted for Total Cases and Total Deaths, that is understated by the lying Chinese, you may notice that this disease is just getting started. The science of epidemiology may not be an exact one, but there is little left to the imagination about where that trend is going. For those of you making light of the virus threat, let me enlighten you to what’s happening here in the NY metro area because the threat is real and people are sick and some are dying.
My son lives in Ct. A couple who are close friends of theirs have the virus. The husband who is in his 40s is in a coma and may not make it. Apparently they had attended a party in Westport. 14 people who attended have contracted the virus.
My young neighbors have left the city with their young children and come out to stay in east Hampton. They have friends and family in Spain and Italy. They know several young people who are very illwith coved 19 and they are very anxious.
My daughter in law sent me some info last night given by a doctor. Take only Tylenol if you have fever or aches and pains. They now think that Ibuprofen etc may make the virus worse. There is a group of affected young people in Cork and all had used the other pain melds. Apparently French TV announced these new findings.
Despite people taking the virus seriously here, we now have about 30 cases from community spread. GOnzo, unlike the flu, people did not have the ability to choose to be vacinated. We are sitting ducks to be randomly exposed to a potential deadly, risk….not a good feeling.
If we can slow the spread of this disease for two weeks while they ramp up testing, it will be well worth it. JB, I have also lost a lot and had much less than you to begin with but I do believe the market will come back in a few months. Meanwhile I can tell you no one is joking about the risk here.

We have just been sent a medical alert that no one is to use anti inflammatories (eg brufen, Voltarol, naproxen and there are others) for pain or high temperature. Use Tylenol instead. There seems to be a link between severe cases of covid19 affecting young people with no underlying illnesses and taking anti inflammatories. Initial reports started coming from French Drs on Friday. This has been confirmed by infectious diseases consultants – there are 4 young people in ICU in Cork who have no underlying illnesses – all were taking anti inflammatories and there are concerns this has caused a more severe illness. We have been asked to spread the message. French tv and radio apparently broadcast the same warning today

Former Department of Homeland Security Whistleblower Philip Haney was found dead in Amador County, California, last month. Early reports said the death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot, but Haney’s friends in Congress say that isn’t so, with the support from a February 24 Coroner’s Investigation Update by the Amador sheriff’s office.
As that report explains “there was misinformation immediately being put out that we have determined Mr. Haney’s death to be a suicide. This is not the case.” Mr. Haney was “located in a park and ride open area immediately adjacent to State Highway 16 near State Highway 124. Highway 16 is a busy state highway and used as a main travel route to and from Sacramento. The location is less than three miles from where he was living,” in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento.
As Michelle Mears noted in the California Globe, Haney’s relatives and friends did not believe he had killed himself. According to Kerry Picket in the Washington Examiner, Haney was “recently in contact with top officials about returning to work for the DHS.”
As Haney explained in The Hill on May 5, 2016, the Department of Homeland Security ordered him “to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS).” Haney described the campaign in See Something Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad.
The Amador County Sheriff is cooperating with the FBI to analyze “documents, phone records and a lap top that were recovered from the scene and Mr. Haney’s RV.” The sheriff has also obtained “the firearm located at the scene” but has not revealed the type of weapon. A forensic autopsy has been scheduled and as Cheryl Chumley reported in the Washington Times, Haney’s friends in Congress are weighing in.
“I don’t believe that Phil Haney committed suicide.” Rep. King said on the House floor this week. Rep Louis Gohmert, Texas Republican also disbelieved the suicide story. “I’d been concerned about his safety, with all the information he knew and people who could’ve gotten in trouble.” Gohmert and King said Haney carried a thumb drive containing sensitive documents and according to the Washington Times report “that thumb drive is curiously missing.”
Philip Haney worked as a field agricultural entomologist in the Middle East, where he began studying Arabic and the Quran. In a 2016 interview, with Frank Gaffney Haney said Islamic jihadists “always say that Islam is a religion of peace. Because for them, shariah equals peace.” They also leave “scent trails” and Haney proved adept at tracking them.
The mosque that San Bernardino terrorist Syed Farook attended was part of the Tablighi Jamaat network and the Obama administration deleted sixty-seven records out of the system that Haney worked on as a component of the Tablighi case. Had those records not been deleted, Haney said, it was plausible that Farook would not have been able to travel to Saudi Arabia, Tashfeen Malik would never been given a visa, “and then we would have stopped the attack.”
The attack was not stopped and on December 2, 2015, Syed Farook and wife Tashfeen Malik murdered 14 people and wounded 22 before being taken down by police. Farook’s mother Syed Rizwan Farook the U.S. Attorney for California’s central district reports, “has agreed to plead guilty to a federal criminal charge of intending to impede a federal criminal investigation by shredding a map her son generated in connection with the attack.”
A man who writes a book exposing U.S. government submission to jihad is bound to have enemies. High on the list of suspects would be Islamic terrorists and those who deny their jihadist cause.
As they investigate the death of Philip Haney, the FBI should take a hard look at every DHS official who blocked him from telling the truth about jihadist networks in the United States. The FBI should also have a long talk with Jeh Johnson, DHS Secretary from 2013-17.
After Haney’s testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2016, Sen. Ted Cruz asked Johnson if Haney’s testimony was accurate. “I have no idea. I don’t know who Mr. Haney is,” Johnson replied. “I wouldn’t know him if he walked into the room.” If federal investigators disbelieve those claims it would be hard to blame them.
Haney said the DHS investigated him nine times and revoked his security clearance. The Department of Justice charged that Haney “misused a government computer,” charges later dropped. The news that Haney might be returning to DHS would not thrill Obama “wing man” Eric Holder, who has been telling reporters looking into DOJ malfeasance to “shut the hell up.”
Meanwhile, reports that DHS whistleblower Philip Haney killed himself amount to misinformation and at this writing the killer is unknown. According to the Amador County Sheriff, “no determination will be made until all evidence is examined and analyzed.”

The only thing you need to normalize the data to, to do some good modeling, is the population you are considering. They do some of that on https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ . The data we have, except for the lying Chinese, show exponential increases. If we are successful in preventing a disaster, we will not be able to prove it would have occurred. So you can claim to be correct. If we fail, it will be another matter.
The objective of the modeling would be to know how many people are going to need medical care, how soon so you do not overload the healthcare system. The rest of the details are details.
That being said, I do see that many of these activities are politically prioritized. But the hazard is real.

We’ve kept our office open in Jerusalem, but we’re staying well below the 10-people together limit, and making sure staffers are a minimum two-meters apart as required. Confirmed cases doubled in Florida from yesterday. I had to go to the Service Center to get my drivers license the 8 year renewal. I have been dreading it. All the center are in close proximity to cell towers. I wore my jacket and wi-fi hoodie inside and I took out my EMF meter to check the area inside, that was not too bad. But people who have to wait outside get fired. I went when the line was minimal and fried less than 5 minutes. When I got in, the center was well run and no one was in a panic. I joked with my clerk about coughers. She was a young woman and did not have much concern, touching her face several times during our transactions.
The state and the county here appear to be staying in business. They have offered Telecommuting to people with health problems and over 60 so I think I will apply and maybe try to work one day a week that way. Most of my work requires I be at the office.

The # of testing increased substantially in the last few days. Currently only people with symptoms or suspected to have Covid 19 are tested with doctors’ prescription. The positive rate among this group is not even that high. So I am confident once more people are tested in the coming days, things will calm down. Both Zerohedge and the Epoch Times are advertising 5G Stocks and not reporting on the connection to the illness, death and market crash of the failure of the old world order. The level of censorship is amazing. People are not talking about the radiation, they are fighting over toilet paper. And some of those frequencies they are being inundated with can really feed that insanity.
I suspect I already had Covid-19 a month or so ago. I was not feeling well but it really did not break out until I had to go out in the community where I was exposed to high levels of microwave radiation. It was like having a bad flu and it dragged on for way longer than reasonable. And a lot of people where I work were sick with it.

They expect a lot of positives when they begin testing in a hot spot. But they have been encouraged that there are less positives than they expected. Those who are positive will be quarantined and that will greatly reduce the community spread. Everyone needs to chill a bit during this 15 day period.
FYI for those encountering empty shelves in the grocery store. Go to a local market…not a major chain. The markets are getting deliveries every day. Apparently the major chain stores have distribution centers which get the goods and then distribute them in their own trucks which adds more layers to the delivery chain.

It claims that there is actually a corona virus contraction, thinks Q-2 will be bad but a stock market recovery will occur later in the year. I hope that is true for a lot of reasons, chief among them being the November election. The media believes they have the issue to defeat Trump, having failed in all their prior attempts. A robust recovery will not stop their attacks but will make them appear to be hoaxes.

For those of you who are feeling bad about the loss of value in your portfolio, all I can tell you is silver and gold have gone though a similar decline, when they were supposed to be the hedge. Strangest of all is the silver spot price is now 12 from a high of 18, which is understandable if you regard silver as an industrial metal rather than a precious metal, and being an industrial metal would decline in tandum with a decline in the decline in industrial activity we are seeing now. But here is the stange part: the futures for silver is higher than it has ever been, which is a bullish signal, that suggests artificial manipulation of the spot price. This is a well known phenonmenon among metal traders, and the central bankers are the root of it. If pure supply and demand principles were applied, then gold and silver would both be through the roof, rather than where they are now, which is in the cellar. The FED is about to print a lot of money to keep the economy from failing, and that is a harbinger of future inflation.

By contrast, over the same critical period, U.S. efforts to distribute tests ground nearly to a halt, and the country’s inability to produce them left public health officials with limited means to determine where and how fast the virus was spreading. From mid-January until Feb. 28, fewer than 4,000 tests from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were used out of more 160,000 produced.
Landt said that the U.S. has at least ten companies that could have done what his company did to combat the virus. In other words, the U.S. should embrace the private companies to help in these situations.

Grace Fusco — mother of 11, grandmother of 27 — would sit in the same pew at church each Sunday, surrounded by nearly a dozen members of her sprawling Italian-American family. Sunday dinners drew an even larger crowd to her home in central New Jersey.

Now, her close-knit clan is united anew by unspeakable grief: Mrs. Fusco, 73, died on Wednesday night after contracting the coronavirus — hours after her son died from the virus and five days after her daughter’s death, a relative said.
Four other children who contracted coronavirus remain hospitalized, three of them in critical condition, the relative, Roseann Paradiso Fodera, said.
Mrs. Fusco’s eldest child, Rita Fusco-Jackson, 55, of Freehold, N.J., died Friday; after her death, the family learned she had contracted the virus. Her eldest son, Carmine Fusco, of Bath, Pa., died on Wednesday, said Ms. Paradiso Fodera, the family’s lawyer who is Mrs. Fusco’s cousin and is serving as a spokeswoman.
Mrs. Fusco, of Freehold, died after spending Wednesday “gravely ill” and breathing with help from a ventilator, unaware that her two oldest children had died, Ms. Paradiso Fodera said.
Nearly 20 other relatives are quarantined at their homes, awaiting test results and praying in isolation, unable to join together to mourn their deep collective loss. Friends are doing what they can from afar.
“If they’re not on a respirator, they’re quarantined,” Ms. Paradiso Fodera said.
“It is so pitiful,” she added. “They can’t even mourn the way you would.”
Ms. Fusco, with her son, Carmine Fusco, who died on Wednesday after contracting coronavirus. She died hours later.
As of Wednesday afternoon, five New Jersey residents had died after contracting the virus, which has infected at least 427 people statewide. Nationwide, at least 7,047 people across every state, plus Washington, D.C., and three U.S. territories, have tested positive for coronavirus, and at least 121 have died, according to a New York Times database.
But the virus’s devastating toll on a single family is considered as rare as it is perplexing.
“They’re young and they don’t have any underlying conditions,” Ms. Paradiso Fodera said.
Mrs. Fusco and four of her children were being treated at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, about an hour south of Manhattan, relatives said. Mr. Fusco died at a Pennsylvania hospital near his home, Ms. Paradiso Fodera said.
The family has deep ties to the horse-racing industry near Freehold Raceway. Some trained horses. Others raced them. The children’s father, Vincenzo L. Fusco, did both, according to his obituary.
A person who had contact with a man who died in New Jersey on March 10, becoming the state’s first coronavirus-related fatality, had attended a recent Fusco family gathering, the state’s health commissioner, Judith M. Persichilli, has said.
The first New Jersey man to die has been identified by a close friend and the harness track where he worked, Yonkers Raceway, as John Brennan.
Ms. Paradiso Fodera said the gathering was a routine Tuesday dinner.
“A party to most people was a regular dinner to them,” she said before counting names on a family tree that listed 27 grandchildren.
The gathering on March 3 is believed to be the source of the virus, and information about the number of people infected there led to a new intensity in Ms. Persichilli’s warnings over the weekend against even small get-togethers with friends or relatives.
He said the lengthy turnaround time for test results leaves patients in the dark and burdens the hospital’s limited resources. Patients who might ultimately test negative for coronavirus, and be healthy enough to leave the hospital, are instead being kept in isolation.
If tests were returned more quickly, more patients could be discharged.
“That opens up beds,” Dr. Matera said. “It lowers the anxiety of the staff.”
Ms. Fusco-Jackson’s relatives also believe that speedier test results could have made a difference in her care.
“They didn’t treat her as a confirmed case because everything is so delayed,” Ms. Paradiso Fodera said. “It’s a big bureaucracy. The testing result time is important.”

Suppose you have symptoms, take a test, and it comes out positive.
What will you do with that information?
There is no cure for this disease (yet).
If you develop symptoms, just stay at home. (You should be doing that anyway.)
If you have trouble breathing, go the hospital.
Just like you would do for any other illness that causes pneumonia-like symptoms.
They will test you at the hospital, for what it’s worth.
Until then, don’t worry about it.

I am convinced that I had Covid-19 the last week of January. I got it from a guy at work who got it from his sister. A bunch of people at work had it. He had told me his wife worked for a doctors office and the doctor said it was the regular flu, but I asked him again about it and he said he only heard it was the doctors opinion. No testing.
Well it was not the regular flu. I had fever and sweats for 6 nights, which I never have had in my life more than 3. And it was stubborn about trying to come back. I guess it was the moderate strain. I hope I do not run across the other.

Sadly the rescue operations around the country are grinding to a halt because of covid19. Innocent pu.ppies and dogs are dying here because of this. My business has also ground to a halt. There’s no point in working right now so I’m cleaning out my closets and basement. I need to feel productive. I really hope they ease up at the end of the 15 day period and offer new, different guidelines to deal with this.

I had a small wholesale print order to ship yesterday and went to the store to ship it. It’s a small business. The employees were wearing gloves as was I. They had a sign on the door asking customers to respect the social distancing guideline. Only myself and one other customer were in the store at the same time so I don’t see why we can’t continue to function while taking precautions.
The rescue group shelters are making appointments for prospective adopters and bringing the animals outside to them, doing paperwork and processing over the phone or Internet. Life must go on. We can’t go on with these heinous restrictions for months.
I think the center will not hold with many more restrictions,2 more weeks will be the limit

The Deacon has already announced that he plans to hang up his spurs in 2022. He needs to do so now!

Gonzo, years ago I interviewed for a corporate counsel job with a regional cargo airline domiciled in Miami, that ran planes throughout the Caribbean and the northern tip of South America. They were owned by a group of venture capitalists who rescued it from bankruptcy. They had labor problems up the ying yang. The owner was the problem. He lost a union organizing drive and never got over it. One of the many things he did to get even was to remove the toilets from the planes and give his pilots bags to relieve themselves. That was too much to expect from a pilot, and too much to expect from a trucker as well. I applaud Sonny Perdue for telling us that the food supply chain is secure, but there could come a point where an overstretched military will have to take that over as well.
