Update: Greatest President Donald J. Trump speech ever? It was a great speech. So great it does not require much analysis. It was clear, direct. No ambiguity. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton:
“This was the best speech of the Trump presidency, in my view,” Bolton said. “I think he was as clear and direct as it’s possible to be.”
Trump said the U.S. would destroy North Korea if forced to defend itself or its allies; Bolton said that was a memorable line.
“I think it’s safe to say, in the entire history of the United Nations, there has never been a more straightforward criticism of the behavior, the unacceptable behavior of other member states,” Bolton said.
In addition, he said Trump’s critiques of the nuclear deal revealed the White House would not tolerate “half-measures and compromises” that allowed Iran and North Korea to progress to the verge of having deliverable nuclear weapons.
He also praised Trump’s line, which was met with near silence at first, that the collapsing regime in Venezuela was an example of socialism being successfully implemented.
“There are a lot of people in the UN. who have never heard anything like that from an American president,” Bolton said. “I think this was an outstanding speech, and I think it will serve the president very well.”
Some critics will ask “Should President Trump have attacked North Korea or given this speech?” President Trump was right to give the speech. Why? Because, as we stated in our short initial article (below), the American armed forces must first stockpile weapons before any attack on North Korea.
The need to stockpile weapons before an attack on North Korea holds back President Trump’s strong hand. The President must first make sure that before any attack on North Korea there are plenty of Tomahawk missiles and MOAB bombs in the arsenal even after the attack. After the use of a MOAB bomb in Afghanistan the U.S. arsenal held only about a dozen MOAB bombs. MOAB bombs are needed to destroy tunnel infrastructures which is why they are sometimes referred to as bunker buster bombs. A dozen of these bombs won’t be enough before an attack on North Korea.
Likewise, the need for Tomahawk missiles. An attack on North Korea will require many hundreds of Tomahawk missiles.
The reason why stockpiling of weapons is so important is because President Trump understands that an attack on North Korea might lead the Persian Empire of Terror (a.k.a. Iran) to believe that the United States is otherwise preoccupied in Asia and therefore the time ripe for the Persian Empire of Terror to make moves. All countries must understand that the United States can attack North Korea yet still maintain enough weaponry to defeat other opponents. Peace through strength.
Other than understanding why President Trump gave North Korea this one last chance to avoid an overwhelming fire and fury attack by the United States, not much analysis of the clear and direct President Trump speech to the United Nations is needed.
Our comments section will include highlights of the Trump speech (Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech too) and the transcript when available.
The leader of the Free World will address the United Nations today. In the same way tough leadership has forced Republican leadership in congress to get something done, finally, the America First president will do what has to be done to get his agenda accomplished.
President Trump has been a harsh critic of the United Nations for many decades. Today, as President, Trump will be an avenging angel demanding CHANGE from that corrupt organization. North Korea has its last chance today and will sit on the front row. After today all that stops war is the time requirements of stockpiling needed weapons.
The answer to THE great mystery, which almost every sentient being knew the answer to, is fully revealed. For weeks, after the Summer of Trump III, the great mystery has been why the Obama Dimocrats have changed their approach to President Donald J. Trump.
Obama Dimocrat Senator Feinstein said some nice things about President Trump and was immediately attacked by the Kook left. Nancy Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck Schumer too signaled they were not about to continue their ceaseless and wild attacks against President Donald J. Trump. These goofballs even signed on to agreements which benefit President Trump even as Big Media attempted to explain it all as a victory for Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck. “What the Hell happened?” asked the dummies such as those at Axios, who cannot not see the obvious so they come up with crackpot theories instead of looking at what is staring at them in their faces.
Let’s recap: Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck along with the entire asylum full of American Horror Story Cult Obama Dimocrats were fully engaged in #TheResistance. The plan was to not let President Trump be “normalized” as a legitimate President. The entire Obama Dimocrat strategy was to portray President Trump as Herr Hitler. Resistance! Unfurl the Resistance!!! flags. Let Antifa roam the streets as the black-shirt army of the leftist Resistance! to Herr Hitler!!!!!!!!!!
But how can President Trump be Herr Hitler if #TheResistance Obama Dimocrats are cutting deals? “How can this be?”, asked those who already knew the answer. For the dummies, the American Horror Story Cult of leftist Kooks, the Obama Dimocrat establishment of totalitarians, the answer is finally revealed. The answer is what we here suspected all along. Polls. Focus groups.
Democrats have attacked the president every which way, but polling and focus groups show none of it’s working.
Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia.
Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe Trump’s historically low approval numbers mean a landslide is coming. The party is defending 10 Senate seats in states that Trump won and needs to flip 24 House seats to take control of that chamber.
The research, conducted by private firms and for Democratic campaign arms, is rarely made public but was described to POLITICO in interviews with a dozen top operatives who’ve been analyzing the results coming in.
“If that’s the attitude that’s driving the Democratic Party, we’re going to drive right into the ocean,” said Anson Kaye, a strategist at media firm GMMB who worked on the Obama and Clinton campaigns and is in conversations with potential clients for next year.
Worse news, they worry: Many of the ideas party leaders have latched onto in an attempt to appeal to their lost voters — free college tuition, raising the minimum wage to $15, even Medicare for all — test poorly among voters outside the base. The people in these polls and focus groups tend to see those proposals as empty promises, at best.
Antifa blackshirt thugs, Bernie Sanders’ Bros and Hos, Hillary Clinton, Big Media, will respond that President Donald J. Trump is a chaotic mess and that is a big turnoff. In a political version of the Family Feud game show however, the vox populi has a different and very Trumpian answer:
Pollsters are shocked by how many voters describe themselves as “exhausted” by the constant chaos surrounding Trump, and they find that there’s strong support for a Congress that provides a check on him rather than voting for his agenda most of the time. But he is still viewed as an outsider shaking up the system, which people in the various surveys say they like, and which Democrats don’t stack up well against.
“People do think he’s bringing about change, so it’s hard to say he hasn’t kept his promises,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.
Yes, that is the same Celinda Lake quoted that we featured in our July 25 analysis (…40 million Americans who voted last year will likely not show up at the polls for the 2018 midterms — and that two-thirds of those “drop-off” voters will be millennials, unmarried women and people of color.) Lake’s predictions for 2018 are dire for Obama Dimocrats, as we discussed. In that same analysis we quoted Obama Dimocrat Willie Brown who said pretty much the same as the focus groups confirm:
In focus groups, most participants say they’re still impressed with Trump’s business background and tend to give him credit for the improving economy. The window is closing, but they’re still inclined to give him a chance to succeed.
More than that, no single Democratic attack on the president is sticking — not on his temperament, his lack of accomplishments or the deals he’s touted that have turned out to be less than advertised, like the president’s claim that he would keep Carrier from shutting down its Indianapolis plant and moving production to Mexico.
Voters are also generally unimpressed by claims that Trump exaggerates or lies, and they don’t see the ongoing Russia investigation adding up to much.
The Russia election theft fable won’t work???? But, but, but what about Herr Hitler #Resistance and Charlottesville and NAZIS!!!!! and alt-right!!!!!!!! and oh my god what about Hitler…. Hitler people, Hitler!!!! What about Hitler????? Um, the Family Feud answer is…:
The president’s equivocation on neo-Nazis was not as much of a political problem as his opponents want to believe, Democratic operatives say, and shifting the debate to whether or not to remove Confederate monuments largely worked for him.
“He is the president. The assessment that voters will make is, is he a good one or not? While Democrats like me have come to conclusions on that question, most of the voters who will decide future elections have not,” Canter said.
But what about #TheResistance!!!! What about POLICY!!!!!! POLICY, people, policy!!!!! Surely Obama Dimocrat American Horror Story Cult policy will save the day against Trump, right? RIGHT???? Policy will work against President Trump, right??? Um, WRONG:
Many of the proposals Democrats are pushing fall flat in focus groups and polling.
The call for free college tuition fosters both resentment at ivory tower elitism and regret from people who have degrees but are now buried under debt. Many voters see “free” as a lie — either they’ll end up paying for tuition some other way, or worse, they’ll be paying the tuition of someone else who’ll be getting a degree for free.
Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Gerstein Bocian Agne Strategies conducted online polling of 1,000 Democrats and 1,000 swing voters across 52 swing districts for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Their advice to candidates afterward: Drop the talk of free college. Instead, the firms urged Democrats to emphasize making college more affordable and reducing debt, as well as job skills training, according to an internal DCCC memo.
Where are the Big Media headlines about the Obama Dimocrat Congressional Campaign Committee lies about free college tuition? Big Media continues to protect their brethren Obama Horror Story Cult.
But what about “free health care” and Bernie’s Medicare for all lies? Policy people, policy. Surely free health care is a winner against Herr Hitler, right??? Right??? Wrong:
Medicare-for-all tests better, but it, too, generates suspicion. The challenge is that most voters in focus groups believe it’s a pipe dream — they ask who will pay for it and suspect it will lead to a government takeover of health care — and therefore wonder whether the politicians talking to them about it are being less than forthright, too.
Wait until the failed single payer systems of California, Vermont, and Colorado get a full airing during election season. That’s why Obama Horror Story Cult Dimocrats are in for a bloody end of gruesome death.
But what about the minimum wage? The minimum wage, people!!!! Surely the minimum wage will lead Obama Dimocrats to victory against President Trump, right? Right??? Wrong:
Raising the minimum wage to $15 is as unpopular as it was when the Obama White House tried to make it Democrats’ rallying cry in the 2014 midterms. Participants in battleground-state focus groups said they see that rate as relatively high and the issue in general as being mostly about redistributing money to the poor.
The DCCC memo urges candidates instead to talk about a “living wage,” or to rail against outsourcing jobs.
“What you’re seeing is this thing that Democrats cannot seem to figure out — this notion that somehow if we just put the words together correctly that’ll be the winning message and we’ll win,” Kaye said. “That is the opposite of how the electorate is behaving.”
Raise the minimum wage and everyone else has to get a raise and then prices rise, so after all the economic dislocation, the status quo returns. If the government “gave” every American one million dollars a lollypop would rise in price to $50.00.
But, but, but, immigration and trade, people!!!! Immigration and trade!!!!! Immigration and trade will save Obama Cult Horror Dimocrats, right? Right????? Um, WRONG:
On immigration and trade, voters remain largely aligned with Trump. Data show that voters believe that the economy is moving in the right direction and resent Democrats attacking its progress.
Obama Dimocrat strategists are very worried. They see what we see in the polling data and in the zeitgeist.
Obama Dimocrats will resort to lies as usual. These dopes will try the same playbook of loser plays against President Trump that worked so well against the hapless Mittens Romney:
More and more, Democratic operatives are gravitating toward pushing for an argument that Trump is just out to make his rich friends richer, at the expense of everyone else. They believe they could include all sorts of attacks on his decisions under that umbrella, from stripping regulations on credit cards to trying to end Obamacare to pushing for corporate tax breaks.
Will that tactic work? No. President Trump is not Kittens Romney. President Trump has already made it clear that in any tax reform or tax cut his goal is to help the middle class even if that means the rich get schlonged.
The Virginia Governor’s Race May Decide The 2020 Presidential Election [snip]
The Bill To End Virginia’s ‘Winner Take All’ System
The answer is in a bill that was put forward in the Virginia House of Representatives, one that would end Virginia’s ‘winner take all’ electoral vote system: [snip]
Republicans have a near two-to-one advantage in the House of Delegates, 66-34, and a majority in the Virginia Senate 21-19. Current Governor McAuliffe is term limited, and if the GOP’s Gillespie is elected in 2017, the stage would be set for Cole to reintroduce the bill, which would then be free from the danger of a veto.
Donald Trump won the Electoral College handily 306 to 232, but that is of course no indicator of how close the race might be in 2020. If it were a Reagan-type blowout, then how Virginia’s electoral votes were allocated would be of passing interest. On the other hand, if the race were more akin to the Gore/Bush 2000 campaign, any change to Virginia’s apportionment would become vital, if not the deciding factor.
That’s a longer way of saying that in 2020 the state of Virginia will once again be in play but that whatever happens it is likely that President Trump will do well in Virginia, a state he lost in 2016. If the winner takes some system is approved, President Trump will get a bunch of electoral votes no matter who “wins” Virginia in 2020. That’s bad news for Obama Dimocrats. It’s another boulder thrown into the scales of the 2020 election which we predicted President Trump will win. Bigly.

So what is this “real estate scandal” we referenced in our title?
Picture a billionaire at the bulk discounter Costco, not buying anything, rather shoplifting, stealing, all he surveys. Picture this same billionaire at Van Cleef and Arpels, the jeweler on Fifth Avenue. He is not buying anything there either, rather shoplifting, stealing all he surveys. It is President Donald J. Trump and one of, if not the greatest political real estate thefts of all time.
We’ve explored this grand theft politics before. But the theft is now so wildly promiscuous and threatens to grow so massively that only an Obama Dimocrat RICO action could stop it. But it won’t. It won’t stop.
@RealDonaldTrump Walks Away With The Clinton Coalition
The bedrock of a winning coalition, the people Barack Obama dismissed in 2008 as “bitter” and clinging to their guns and Bibles, used to be the FDR coalition and the Clinton coalition. No longer. They are now part of the Trump Triumph. Hillary2016 has abandoned them so they have abandoned her. [snip]
The white working class chased out of the Democratic Party by Obama’s Kook coalition had no where to go but to the Republican Party. Now the former Democrats join in solidarity with the long time populist Republicans – ergo TRUMP.
President Donald J. Trump is the greatest of American political real estate thieves. President Trump stole the Clinton coalition. President Trump stole the Republican Party. President Trump is stealing the Democratic Party of FDR/Kennedy. It’s a political real estate scandal.
President Trump has taken the real estate from the full spectrum of the right wing (far right, moderate right, liberal right) as well as the all important center of the political world, and is on the move to steal the center left and the moderate left. The only real estate President Trump will not steal is the kingdom of Kooks far far left and the dirty swamp.
But is picking up extremely valuable abandoned property, theft? Or is it smarts? The Obama Dimocrat Horror Cult is about to find out just how smart President Donald J. Trump is.
Update: President Trump in Florida to survey the damage and make sure recovery and repairs are carried out as he has ordered.
In case you missed it, President Trump in Florida discussed THE WALL:‘If we don’t have the wall, we’re doing nothing’. President Trump made that comment after some earlier squishy comments in Washington. Here’s the quote in full (at 5:01 in the video): “But we’ll only do it if we get extreme security… if we get not only surveillance… but everything that goes along with surveillance. And ultimately we have to have the wall. If we don’t have the wall we’re doing nothing.” There’s also this (at 5:30) “At some point they’re gonna have to. They cannot obstruct the wall. The wall to me is vital. If I don’t get the wall then we will become the obstructionists.” And this (at 5:42): ‘”We have to have an understanding that whether it is in the budget or some other vehicle, in a fairly short period of time the wall will be funded, otherwise we’re not doing any deal.”
President Trump understands the vital nature of the WALL to his supporters. He will negotiate as a master of the Art of the Deal. The bottom line is results. Results he promised. Representative Steve King is correct that a betrayal on this issue is a betrayal on all issues:
We are sure President Trump will repeat his promises about the WALL to great cheers from those that voted for him in 2016, as he campaigns around the country in the next several weeks for tax reform. Big Media along with Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck will continue to sow discord among Trump supporters. As long as President Trump keeps his promises as he has on issue after issue, there will be no discord. The base will remain intact and an immovable object.
Today we present a picnic basket of analysis for those of you on the run to take with you as you flee from Hurricane Irma or recover from Hurricane Harvey.
Let’s start with the hurricanes and how the winds are blowing in our political cultural storms (then we’ll get to the fun stuff of American Horror Story and Star Trek and what that says about the zeitgeist).
On Hurricane Irma: run. This one is gonna be a Hillary2016 size disaster. It’s easy to see how bad this storm is going to be just by looking at its size. Run ladies and gents in Florida, run. Pretend a naked Michelle Obama is chasing you. Run!
Hurricane Irma, like Hurricane Harvey will cause a great deal of damage. Houses will float. Roofs will fly.
Hurricane Irma has already blown the roof off of two politicians and let us see them for who they are. We mean Governor Abbott and Governor Rick Scott. Governor Abbott of Texas, the guy in a wheelchair, acted like a superhero movie star. Abbott was everywhere seemingly bereft of sleep for days in order to take care of Texas citizens. Bravo Governor Abbott!
Governor Rick Scott. We’ve always had doubts about this guy. He looked kinda weird to us with his unblinking eyes, chrome dome head, and stilted speaking manner. We were chagrined when he was elected governor of Florida because his opponent was such a loon. Still… we have had reservations about this Rick Scott guy. Had. Hurricane Irma has exposed Governor Rick Scott of Florida as a strong leader who provides timely information and is doing everything we think he should be doing and doing it well. Bravo Governor Rick Scott!
Pay attention to these two governors. They both have a bright future in politics. Governor Abbott has already passed his test of leadership with his command of the Hurricane Harvey disasters.
Governor Rick Scott has passed his test of hurricane preparation but he still remains to be tested during the storm and as recovery begins. We suspect from his performance thus far that he will pass these tests superlatively as well. If Governor Rick Scott does well in the week and weeks to come it is likely that he will become, as we have predicted, the next Republican Senator from Florida if he decides to challenge Obama Dimocrat Bill Nelson in 2018.
What do Governors Abbott and Scott have in common? Well, they are both Republican governors. Most importantly they are both strong supporters of President Donald J. Trump. This means a strong desire by both federal and state governments to do the best jobs possible because there is good will amongst all the parties involved in hurricane disaster preparation.
There is more of course to these double hurricanes than weather or the political fates of two governors. Hurricane Irma, like Hurricane Harvey, will have political ramifications greater than most anticipate. For instance we already see how even the most anti-Trump Big Media outlets have to admit that President Trump’s quick and effective disaster relief efforts elevate his stature as well as the polls which cannot measure the full support of the public for President Trump.

Thanks to GonzoTx in our comment section we have been alerted to a Mark Steyn quote which summarizes what has struck us about the political moment we are in. Steyn writes, culture trumps politics. We have to add, Trump trumps the culture.
What few anticipated was the cultural revolution that President Trump was about to light up as well. This cultural revolution was not entirely a surprise because Donald J. Trump so dominated the news. No other political candidate has set national conversations at the kitchen table and on congressional and Big Media panels to discuss the size of his hands, his hair, his skin coloration, his family, his taste in furniture and decorations, his lunch/dinner habits, his pizza eating style with fork and knife, his possessions, his demeanor, his tone, his counter-punching style, his ego, his private conversations, his public declarations, his movements, his height, his wife’s heels, in short everything about The Donald.
This is not to say that other candidates and presidents have not been put under a microscope. But Donald J. Trump is a nonstop source of conversation. Donald J. Trump is like the mystical cup the Norse god Thor drank from which contained an ocean of drink. This obsession with Trump is astounding.
Obsession has led to the cultural moment. President Trump we now can see, trumps the culture. This is not due to those that admire the man. President Trump trumps the culture because his enemies have made him the cultural icon and brand of the coming era.
It’s a bit like reverse Chairman Mao. The enemies of Chairman Mao in China wanted to get rid of him. They surmised that there were two ways to remove the Chairman. One way was to trash him and bury him. The other way was to elevate him so much he became irrelevant. With President Trump the NeverTrump right-wing and the totalitarian leftists have decided to deride and resist President Trump using all the tools of the culture. But instead of the dominant cultural elites’ destruction of President Trump, what is happening is that President Trump is warping the culture, devouring the culture, trumping the culture! It is astonishing to witness.
Among Republicans on Capitol Hill, “I’ve never heard members and senators so angry at the president of their own party,” one durable Washington hand told me after yesterday’s round of check-in calls. [snip]
Our thought bubble for the president when he spontaneously made the fiscal package deal in front of a chagrined Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan: “You say I can’t make deals anymore? Hold my Diet Coke, and watch this! You say I’m beholden to Mitch and Paul? Watch me make a big deal without them!”
A top aide puts it slightly more diplomatically: “He read the room. Instinctual. … He’s a dealmaker. He saw a deal.”
The NeverTrump right however is irrelevant. They have nothing to offer but anger and rage alongside their words and delusions. Pat Buchanan who ran for President in 1992 and discovered the misery of the white working class in New Hampshire and elsewhere that year was attacked by these loons as a socialist because of his desire to do something to help. Because Buchanan did not bow to the Chamber of Commerce Buchanan was denounced as a leftist. Buchanan is a precursor to Donald J. Trump. Buchanan understands what it is that President Trump dealt to the do nothing congress:
Donald Trump is president today because he was seen as a doer not a talker. Among the most common compliments paid him in 2016 was, “At least he gets things done!”
And it was exasperation with a dithering GOP Congress, which had failed to enact his or its own agenda, that caused Trump to pull the job of raising the debt ceiling away from Republican contractors Ryan & McConnell, and give it to Pelosi & Schumer.
Hard to fault Trump. Over seven months, Congress showed itself incapable of repealing Obamacare, though the GOP promised this as its first priority in three successive elections.
Returning to D.C. after five weeks vacation, with zero legislation enacted, Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were facing a deadline to raise the debt ceiling and fund the government. [snip]
Will he give up on free-trade Republicans to work with Democrats to protect U.S. jobs and businesses from predator traders like China? [snip]
We could be looking at a seismic shift in national politics, with Trump looking to centrist and bipartisan coalitions to achieve as much of his agenda as he can. He could collaborate with Federalist Society Republicans on justices and with economic-nationalist Democrats on tariffs.
Pat Buchanan understands that President Trump is a political force akin to the prairie fire that burns the fields and yields a new harvest from the soil enriched by the death of what once was. The totalitarian left understands this too. That is why we are at this political/cultural moment.
The NeverTrump right wing is a collection of crickets making night sounds in the fields before the prairie fire burns them dead. They don’t matter.
The totalitarian left that tears down monuments and demands political censorship of speech they don’t like is aghast at what is witnessed. The totalitarian left reacted with rage against Senator Feinstein when she suggested that President Trump might not be the devil. The totalitarian left reacted with resistance and rage when their leftist leaders Pelosi and Schumer made a deal with the person they think is a Hitler. “How can you make a deal with Hitler?”
If Pelosi and Schumer agreed to a deal with the man that is hated by the left as Hitler (hey, wasn’t Hitler a socialist too?) then maybe Hitler is not Hitler? What to do, what to do?
The right wing is irrelevant. The totalitarian left is politically neutered but not yet irrelevant. Increasingly the totalitarian left understands their political irrelevance.
Because the totalitarian left understands they are politically irrelevant, the totalitarian left has retreated to the academic heights to fight for relevance. But that has not worked out too well either.
Big Media failed. Politics failed them. Academia failed them. The last refuge for the totalitarian left is the cultural heights they dominate. The left decided to fight President Trump with their most powerful weapon: culture. The cultural elites and their celebrity centurions who hate Trump decided to attack President Trump with the powerful tool that has always worked for them. Culture.
Enter Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence, a beautiful young star of the Hunger Games series (a film series that can be seen as a cinema prognostication of the rise of Donald J. Trump), as well as X-Men and other good films is the star of her latest release, “Mother!“. On a publicity tour Jennifer Lawrence continued her war against President Trump:
In an interview with Channel 4, a British public service television network, American actress Jennifer Lawrence blamed the recent hurricanes on Donald Trump’s voters, because they don’t believe in man-made climate change. During the lengthy interview on her new movie Mother!, the conversation turned political about halfway through. After discussing the alleged pay gap between men and women, the interviewer asked Lawrence about climate change and the political climate in America.
“I mean when the director was asked about the film, why it was so dark, he said, ‘It’s a mad time to be alive.’ And there is certainly an end of days feeling about it. For many people, in America who would say, [grimaces] perhaps it’s truer there at the moment than anywhere else,” the Channel 4 reporter prompted Lawrence to comment.
“It’s scary,” she responded. “You know, it’s this new language that’s forming, I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know, that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting,” Lawrence stated.
“And you have voted very recently, as a country” the interviewer acknowledged.
“And we voted, and it was really startling,” Lawrence added. She then insinuated that the hurricanes were “Mother Nature’s rage and wrath” at America for Trump.
“You know you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard especially while promoting this movie, not to feel mother nature’s rage and wrath,” she stated.
“It’s not just about climate change though is it, in America? It seems to be a time of huge division,” the reporter added.
“Yeah, it’s really polarizing and upsetting. You know I’ve heard things and seen things on T.V. in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing,” Lawrence stated.
“Do you find President Trump confusing?” the reporter pressed further.
“I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is,” Lawrence said solemnly before smirking.
Wrapping up the interview, the reporter asked Lawrence how she felt about the future. The Hollywood actress didn’t have much hope with Trump leading the country, calling her recent film a “howl of rage” in response to what’s going on in America:
“I have to feel hope, you know you have to feel hope. You can’t just fall into despair. But a producer on the movie called this film, ‘an impotent howl of rage.’ It’s like a helpless howl to the moon, like, it’s just an assault.”
Lawrence has been outspoken about President Trump before he was even president. Back in 2015, she cried that it would be “the end of the world” if he took office, and told Trump “f**k you” during a 2016 televised talk show appearance. After he won the election, Lawrence penned an open letter to young women on the feminist side Broadly, that the election should “enrage them.”
“[L]ike Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done. Do not let this defeat you — let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman — don’t be afraid, be loud!” she wrote.
Jennifer Lawrence might be pretty, young, and whatever. But what Jennifer Lawrence most informs us of is how President Trump is even expanding his assault on the establishment with the aim of conquest of the cultural heights now controlled by the totalitarian left.
Jennifer Lawrence confesses that a film producer called her latest film “an impotent howl of rage. It’s like a helpless howl to the moon, like, it’s just an assault.” Then Jennifer proclaims that she herself has “to feel hope, you know you have to feel hope. You can’t just fall into despair.”
Jennifer Lawrence wants “hope and change” because she does not want to be defeated. JL advises the leftists to be enraged. In the end Jennifer Lawrence is in despair because she sees as well as everyone on the left that President Trump is setting their cultural heights on fire.
All the left can offer as ammunition against President Trump is “an impotent howl of rage… a helpless howl to the moon.”
Jennifer Lawrence is not the only one howling impotently from the leftist cultural heights. The latest politically correct Star Trek is howling along impotently:
Star Trek: Discovery to tackle Trump-era political divide
Exclusive: ‘The Klingons are going to help us look at certain sides of ourselves and our country’
We predict this impotent howl at the moon from an exhausted TV franchise will go the way of Manimal.
These are all examples of impotent howls of rage from the totalitarian left. But to understand the coming cultural overthrow of the left there are few better examples than the latest offering from the American Horror Story franchise, Cult:
The story AHS: Cult surrounds Sarah Paulson‘s character, whose numerous phobias including her fear of clowns worsens after Donald Trump shocked the world and won the 2016 election last November while at the same time a cult of scary clowns begin a murderous rampage in her town.
We thoroughly enjoyed American Horror Story: Coven, the second season of the American Horror Story franchise. We enjoyed AHS so much we even wrote the Obama version of the series.
Our enthusiasm for AHS was due mostly to the wonderful acting of a bunch of women such as Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates. AHS soon degenerated into gore and blood for the sake of gore and blood. The subsequent reincarnations of the series we peeked at then left.
We pretty much decided never to waste our time on sensationalistic drivel of blood and gore. Then we heard about the new season and we doubly resolved not to watch more Trump bashing. Then, curiosity beat us like rented mules, and we proved the Mae West or Oscar Wilde adage as true – “I can resist anything but temptation.” We watched.
It is supposed to be anti-Trump. But what it is supposed to be and what it is are two different things.
AHS is no longer a vehicle for great women. It is now the Evan Peters show. He is a very good actor who has appeared in an X-Men movie, Jackass and other entertainments. AHS is now a vehicle for Evan Peters.
In AHS Peters is a Trump supporter as imagined hysterically through the eyes of the left. He mocks illegal immigrants by singing “La Cucaracha” and they beat him up. He is also clearly a killer. He’s too cute however to be frightening.
What is frightening are the Hillary supporters. What is very funny are the Hillary supporters. The lead woman character, a lesbian married to a lesbian and with an adopted male boy, is just plain nuts. She didn’t even vote for Hillary. She voted for Jill Stein – in Michigan. As she is reminded by an indignant Asian man, Jill Stein got more votes in Michigan than the margin Trump won by. The Asian man’s wife also did not vote for Hillary because as he screams at her “You were too busy with Etsy to vote”. Then the lead Hillary supporter who voted for Jill Stein weeps. It is all comedy.
She didn’t vote for Hillary but she weeps on the shoulder of her wife all the while crying hysterically “Merrick Garland… Merrick Garland… what’s gonna happen to Merrick Garland???” It is so intentionally overdone we all get the joke. To Hell with Merrick Garland the never on the Supreme Court loser that lost big on election night 2016.
The humor does not stop there. The nanny to be to the lesbian couple was a woman studies major who took time off from school to campaign for Hillary. On election night this millennial college student on leave is upset with CNN for declaring Trump as the newly elected president because CNN did not preface the announcement with a “trigger warning”. By the way, she is a killer too.
The lesbian in chief on election night refuses to believe the announced results. She declares “I won’t believe it until Rachel Maddow says it. She is the only one I trust.” The Evan Peters character crushes a bag of Cheetos and applies it to his face, a direct reference to NeverTrump Glenn Beck who did the same during the primaries to mock President Trump.
It’s all an impotent howl at the moon. It’s blood and climate change gore we likely won’t watch again. The cult, the kooks, the embarrassments are not the Trump supporter. The cult of kooks are the Hillary supporters in need of trigger warnings and Rachel Maddow. American Horror Story: Cult is the story of a deranged cult unable to deal with reality. It’s not about clowns. It’s not about Trump. It is about the triumph of Trump.
In 2017 the story is not clowns nor hurricanes. The story is the TrumpNado. The TrumpNado that has knocked down the corrupt political establishment. The TrumpNado that threatens to bring down the cultural establishment too.
The TrumpNado is blasting forth from sea to shining sea, from North to South, in a destructive path through the heartland of the GOP establishment, Academia, Big Media, and the cultural heights of the left. The TrumpNado will level them all. That’s what they fear. The TrumpNado!
Summer of Trump III was a replay of Summer of Trump II and Summer of Trump I. Remember? Summer of Trump I and II began with predictions of “it’s over for Trump” and Big Media chortled that no one could even survive the no good/bad/horrible death dealing circumstances. Then Trump triumphed.
We remember it all very well. Our analyses of Summer of Trump I, II, and III were all the same. We looked at the Big Media narrative, then we looked at reality, we predicted the Trump triumphs.
If the GOP establishment does not blow up Donald J. Trump before the Second GOP debate on September 16, it might well be over and Mr. Donald J. Trump will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016. The hostile takeover will be complete.
Are we premature? Is it too early to declare the very real, very authentic Donald J. Trump the winner before one vote has been cast? The latest polls convince us that it is not too early but rather too late to stop Trump.
Today, like every Summer of Trump day, will not be any different. Donald J. Trump will be wearing board shorts, hair slicked back, Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses halfway down his nose, Hawaiian shirt open to his navel, flip-flops on – his feet firmly planted on a surfboard riding the zeitgeist wave. [snip]
Surf on zeitgeist wave surfer dude, surf on! Make America Safe Again after the past year and the past few weeks is zeitgeist ocean Yoda beach party dude. The zeitgeist wave is building for Trump
Obama Dimocrats did not count on President Trump trumping. Obama Dimocrats thought that President Trump would avoid mention of the GA6 race because President Trump would never want to get involved in a race that had everything against him. Obama Dimocrats had tens of millions, a young male candidate to attack a not so young woman, enthusiasm from the Obama Dimocrat left as well as the Bernie Sanders Socialist left, and Big Media and the rest of the party were all in to defeat the hapless Karen Handel who barely came in first in the crowded GOP primary.
Then, Trump tweeted and triumphed.
Once Again, against the polls, Big Media, the GOP establishment, the Deep State, the Obama Dimocrat big dollar donors, leftist thugs, assassins, pajama boys, NeverTrumpers, and everyone who did not vote for candidate Trump in November 2016 – Trump triumphed.
Lessons? This election was essentially meaningless. The goal was to separate the GOP leadership, RINOs and WHINOs from President Trump and that has once again failed because Trump voters love to Trump! Trump! Trump! The only lasting lesson from this election we can think of is one we wrote about years ago. [snip]
If Trump voters stick with President Trump then the GOP leadership has to stick with President Trump and the 2016 elections are a rerun. Obama Dimocrats can’t get the voters they disparage daily.
We’ve been correct in our analysis because we look at reality, not Big Media’s version of their delusions.
So what really happened in Summer of Trump III? Did the Charlottesville nonsense hurt President Trump? Did Hurricane Harvey knock out the Trumpnado? Did North Korea nuke President Trump? Did the GOP establishment depose President Trump? Did the Obama Dimocrats come one step closer to a glorious win in 2018 then 2020? Did the eclipse blot out President Trump? HA!
We’ll present the news Big Media is terrified to discuss. Remember as we discuss reality, that Summer of Trump III was supposed to be the death of President Trump because he could not survive the treachery of the GOP establishment and because everyday Republicans and Republican elected officials would run away from President Trump in fear of massive election losses in 2018 as voters turned against President Trump. Also remember our predictions in May of this year of big GOP victories in 2018 and the big reelection victory of President Trump in 2020.
Let’s start with the Obama Dimocrats. These kooks and klowns should be doing great if the narrative that President Trump is in any trouble whatsoever is in any way accurate. How are the Obama Dimocrats doing?
Money? Citing the transgender order, Mitch McConnell’s attacks, “Trump’s crashing popularity”, and other absurdities, Big Media cannot understand why the Republicans are flush with cash from low dollar donors and the Obama Dimocrats can’t buy a shoelace with their failed fundraising efforts.
It’s not just us. The Vatican of Obama Dimocrats, the Big Pink hating 538 blog has predictions of what will happen in 2018. That Obama Dimocrat website revered by the leftist kooks predicts that the best Obama Dimocrats can hope for in 2018 is, well, read it and cry tears of laughter:
A new analysis, published by FiveThirtyEight, shows the congressional map for the 2018 midterm elections has a record-setting pro-GOP bias, which could mean more winning for President Donald Trump and his Republican party. [snip]
Even if Democrats were to win every single 2018 House and Senate race for seats representing places that Hillary Clinton won or that Trump won by less than 3 percentage points — a pretty good midterm by historical standards — they could still fall short of the House majority and lose five Senate seats.
So, under the best scenario, Obama Dimocrats can’t win the House of Representatives and the Republicans will be very close to 60 votes in the Senate, says 538 to the kooks.
The Cook Political Report, at the height of “it’s over for Trump” this Summer of Trump III likewise sees Obama Dimocrats in trouble, even Joe Manchin of West Virginia who has tried to pretend he is not an Obama Dimocrat even as he votes like an Obama Dimocrat.
Our prediction is the GOP maintains control of the House and the Senate GOP will have more than 60 seats. The Obama Dimocrats will have to defend 25 seats and the Republicans 8 seats, so even though midterm elections usually go badly for the party in power, we’ve never had a midterm with trump, Trump, trump. Add to all this goat’s head soup the fact that many of the Obama Dimocrats will run in states that President Trump won while the Republicans will also run in states that President Trump won, and, well, reality is easy to predict for us.
But, but, but, what about Barack Obama? Won’t Barack Obama save the Obama Dimocrats from President Trump??? Um, no, says that well known Obama Dimocrat Howard Dean. Barack Obama, says Howard Dean, is the kiss of death:
It’s long been over for the flim-flam con man Barack Obama!!!
This would explain Mr. Trump’s recent gibes at Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for the Senate’s health-care failure. On Thursday he broadened the indictment to include blaming Mr. McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan, in advance, for trouble raising the federal debt ceiling when Congress returns in September.
The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board writes that President Trump will be the one to suffer and that attacking the GOP establishment finks will prevent President Trump from fulfilling his agenda. But what is President Trump’s agenda? The GOP establishment wants the agenda to be tax cuts for corporations and not much else. The GOP establishment does not want to build the wall nor stop illegal immigration. The GOP establishment does not want what President Trump wants.
The Trump agenda the GOP establishment does not like is the one the Trump voters want. What is the Trump agenda? First, attack and destroy the America hating Big Media that believes they are the masters of the people. Second, attack and destroy the political establishment that has failed. That’s the real Trump agenda. Tax cuts and all the other “policy” proposals fall under the details of what to do once Big Media is destroyed and the political establishment has been overturned.
Republicans on Capitol Hill lament President Trump’s aggressive behavior toward them, but some people in the president’s orbit are urging him to up the ante even further.
They say that, far from making nice, Trump needs to instill fear so that lawmakers do not feel at liberty to thwart him.
“Most members of Congress are arrogant, and until a scalp is actually taken they are going to continue to be defiant,” longtime Trump friend Roger Stone told The Hill. “All he needs to do is punish one incumbent and I think you’d see a sea-change.”
“He is 100 percent correct to go after McCain, Flake, Murkowksi,” said Sam Nunberg, who worked as an aide to Trump’s 2016 campaign. [snip]
Steve Bannon, recently ousted as Trump’s chief strategist, does not appear to be in a compromising mood, however. He promised to keep up his own attacks on McConnell in an interview published by The Economist on Friday.
“I’m going to light him up,” Bannon said.
Trump himself seems in no particular mood to declare a truce.
“The only problem I have with Mitch McConnell is that, after hearing Repeal & Replace for 7 years, he failed! That should NEVER have happened!” the president wrote on Twitter on Thursday.
A New York Times story the previous day had reported that Trump and McConnell had not spoken to each other “in weeks” and that McConnell had “privately expressed uncertainty that Mr. Trump will be able to salvage his administration after a series of summer crises.” [snip]
And the president took aim at Corker, who had publicly called his “stability” and “competence” into question.
“Strange statement by Bob Corker considering that he is constantly asking me whether or not he should run again in ’18. Tennessee not happy!” Trump tweeted on Friday morning. [snip]
There are even some internal party critics of Trump’s, however, who don’t dismiss his words out of hand.
Appearing on Hugh Hewitt’s syndicated radio show on Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said of Trump, “He’s running against Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and others. The Congress is very unpopular, particularly with the Republican base, so there’s nothing unhinged about it. It’s a political strategy that I’m not so sure is smart, but it’s a very thought-out strategy. There’s nothing crazy about it.” [snip]
Stone argued that Trump is “far more popular and more influential with Republican primary voters than any members of Congress and any member of the United States Senate, and he has enormous leverage to go into party primaries.” [snip]
If those sentiments might be met with consternation on Capitol Hill, they are firmly endorsed by some among the conservative grassroots.
“Really, the Republican leadership in the House and the Senate needs to get behind President Trump and his agenda,” said Jenny Beth Martin, the president and co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots. “I think it is fair for him to shed light on what is really happening on Capitol Hill.
“The voters voted for Donald Trump to be a sledgehammer and a wrecking ball to Washington, D.C.,” she added.
Kick the tires and light the fires! Summer of Trump is not over.
Flake’s in big trouble — The Arizona GOP Senate primary is still about a year away. But the prospect that Sen. Jeff Flake won’t make it out of the GOP primary is looking very real. Two polls conducted since Trump ripped into Flake on Twitter have Flake trailing Kelli Ward by double digits. Flake hasn’t led in a single primary poll taken at any point since last November.
Maybe Heller is too — Republican Sen. Dean Heller could also be in trouble. JMC Analytics released a poll this week of the Nevada GOP Senate primary. It found Heller (who’s had a lukewarm relationship with Trump) losing to Danny Tarkanian (a perennial Republican candidate and big-time Trump backer) 39 percent to 31 percent. Heller answered this survey by releasing his own internal poll showing him up 55 percent to 33 percent. The truth is probably somewhere in between.
The 2018 Senate map heavily favors Republicans, who will only defend eight seats, including just two of which are considered vulnerable right now. By comparison, Democrats have to defend 25 seats, including 10 in states that Trump won in 2016. [snip]
Here are the seven most vulnerable Senate seats of the 2018 midterm elections as they stand now.
Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) [snip]
Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.)
McCaskill is one of the few statewide Democratic officeholders left in Missouri, which Trump won by 19 points in November. [snip]
Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.)
Donnelly leveraged a bipartisan approach to politics and his blue-collar appeal into a Senate seat in 2012, but he’ll have to fight yet another tough battle if he wants to keep his Senate seat in a state Trump won by 19 points. [snip]
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)
Flake wouldn’t rank this high in a normal election year, but a Republican president threatening to support a primary challenge to an incumbent GOP senator isn’t normal, either. [snip]
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.)
In 2016, West Virginia went for Trump by a larger margin than any other state – 42 points. [snip]
Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.)
Heitkamp hails from another deep-red state – North Dakota went for Trump by about 36 points. [snip]
Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.)
Republicans have a lot to like about their Montana prospects. Trump won the state by more than 20 points in November, and Republican Greg Gianforte just won the state’s at-large congressional seat in a special election even after he assaulted a reporter. [snip]
There are five other Democrats running in states Trump won – Sens. Bill Nelson (Fla.), Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.), Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Debbie Stabenow (Mich.) and Sherrod Brown (Ohio). These five do not yet seem as vulnerable as the others, but the races could move up the rankings depending on how primaries shake out.
Florida Republicans are in a holding pattern as Gov. Rick Scott (R) weighs a bid, since his entry would immediately clear the field and give Nelson a top-tier challenger. Casey and Baldwin are waiting to see how the large GOP primary fields taking them on shake out.
Musician Kid Rock is mulling a bid against Stabenow. And Brown could face a rematch against his 2012 opponent, state treasurer Josh Mandel, but some state Republicans aren’t excited about his campaign and are looking for other options.
President Donald J. Trump will be a powerful, if not determinative voice, in these primary and general elections. It won’t be the GOP that will win in 2018. President Donald J. Trump will win in 2018 and 2020.
Update II: President Trump at the American Legion convention:
Update: President Trump in Arizona! The medium is the message:
The medium is the message. Monday night President Donald J. Trump in a nationally televised speech in front of American troops and top government officials announced his strategy to kill terrorists in Afghanistan. Tuesday night in Arizona President Donald J. Trump will visit with American troops in Arizona then go to a big rally with Vice President Mike Pence alongside him in Arizona.
The medium is the message. President Trump in Arizona is sending a very big message because he is in Arizona. The targets of President Donald J. Trump are Arizona Governor Ducey, Senator John McCain, and Senator Jeff Flake.
Gov. Doug Ducey will greet President Donald Trump on the tarmac after Air Force One touches down Tuesday afternoon for his first presidential visit to the Grand Canyon state.
But the Republican governor, who like many in the GOP has diplomatically sidestepped Trump and his more divisive rhetoric, will not attend Trump’s campaign-style rally at the Phoenix Convention Center. [snip]
Richard Herrera, an Arizona State University associate professor of political science, said Ducey’s decision illustrates the Trump tightrope he walks as the governor prepares a 2018 reelection bid.
Herrera said the governor is trying to strike a balance between Republican voters who ardently support Trump, and those who vehemently oppose him.
If Ducey avoided Trump altogether, he could alienate voters he will need next year. And if he joined the president at the rally, Herrera said, he could leave some voters with the impression he supports all of the president’s views. [snip]
“The upside is that for supporters of Trump, he makes a gesture of being close to the president,” Herrera said. “The upside is that he doesn’t have to be in full public view at the rally.
“The negative side is it may not be enough for either group,” he added.
Just by being in Arizona, President Donald J. Trump puts Governor Pucey Ducey on notice that Trump supporters will not vote for this wucey. This Ducey character encouraged Senator McCain to preserve ObamaCare with his vote against ObamaCare repeal in the Senate. Ducey better get a ticket on the TrumpTrain or he will find himself on the tracks with the mighty Trump engine over him.
Arizona Governor Ducey should look at the latest polls from Kentucky for a clue to his reelection bid.
Media Research Center President Brent Bozell on Tuesday unloaded on Arizona GOP Sen. Jeff Flake, mocking him in a Twitter post as an “imposter” posing as a conservative.
“Jeff Flake is not a conservative, nor does he have a conscience,” Bozell said, slamming Flake by using the title of his new book “Conscience of a Conservative” — a nod to Barry Goldwater’s 1960 work that was ghost-written by Bozell’s late father.
“On behalf of my late father and my family, I am denouncing Senator Jeff Flake and his new book, dishonestly titled, ‘Conscience of a Conservative,'” Bozell wrote in a posted statement. [snip]
“The media need to know, when reporting on Senator Flake and his ‘book,’ that the author is a deceiver out for personal and financial gain. I also call on my conservative brethren to denounce this imposter, who dishonorably claims to speak for conservatism, in the strongest possible terms,” the Twitter post maintained.
While promoting his news book, Flake told CBS News’ “Face The Nation” the GOP had “lost its way” and given in to “nativism and protectionism.”
He also slammed the party in a commentary for Politico Magazine last month, criticizing the GOP for “creating” and “rationalizing” President Donald Trump.
Jeff Flake has repeatedly attacked President Trump. Jeff Flake believed that along with Senator McCain and Governor Ducey he could attack President Trump and still be reelected. As if!
John McCain is popular with Obama Dimocrats but not Republicans. John McCain will not help Flake in the Republican primary. Governor Ducey will be too busy in a fight for his own survival so he won’t be much help to Flake either. Governor Ducey and Senator Flake need President Trump, not John McCain.
Just by being in Arizona, President Donald J. Trump slaps Jeff Flake in the face. Jeff Flake needs President Trump but President Trump does not need Jeff Flake. There is another. Her name is Kelli Ward:
Top Trump donor ponies up to take out Flake
Robert Mercer is donating $300,000 to a super PAC backing Kelli Ward, who is running against the GOP senator in a primary next year.
One of Donald Trump’s most generous political benefactors is providing a six-figure donation to a super PAC devoted to unseating Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican who has been fiercely critical of the president.
Robert Mercer, a reclusive hedge fund billionaire who was intimately involved in Trump’s rise and helped to bankroll his 2016 campaign, is contributing $300,000 to a super PAC supporting former state Sen. Kelli Ward, who is challenging Flake in a Republican primary next year.
It’s the latest sign that Trump’s political machine is preparing to take on Flake, whose persistent attacks have angered the president. The White House has met with Ward and two other Republicans who are mulling primary challenges to the Arizona senator, state Treasurer Jeff DeWit and former state GOP Chairman Robert Graham.
A longtime Trump critic, Flake has made waves with the release of his new book, “Conscience of a Conservative.” He argues that his party is in denial about the Trump presidency and blames the GOP for his rise. Over the past week, Flake has launched a national TV tour in which he’s made the case that his party has taken the wrong course.
During the 2016 campaign, Flake refused to endorse Trump and called on him to withdraw after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape, in which Trump was heard boasting about groping women. The senator refused to attend the GOP convention, saying that he had to stay home to mow his lawn.
His jabs rankled candidate Trump, who at one point said that he would be willing to spend $10 million of his own money to defeat Flake in a 2018 primary.
And during a press briefing last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to rule out the possibility that the president would help finance an anti-Flake primary effort.
If we were suspicious types we would think that the Steve Bannon resignation and that five hour meeting with Robert Mercer as Bannon prepared to leave the White House job after his August 7 resignation had something to do with all this. We expect Trump supporters, Steve Bannon, Robert Mercer, are all united in taking down politically, the flakeity flake Jeff Flake.
Yawn. Nothing new happened this past week. Once again the once again once again repeated and repeated. Nothing new.
Big Media headlines of the past week continue to vomit the headlines of wish-casting. “It’s over for Trump!” “Trump in Turmoil!” “Trump voters abandon Trump!” “Trump did something outrageous!”
So what “happened” this past week? Race-baiters in Charlottesville race-baited. President Donald J. Trump told the truth and was attacked by the totalitarian Left. President Donald J. Trump told the truth and Big Media attacked him. President Donald J. Trump told the truth and the Republican establishment attacked President Trump. Muslim terrorists attacked innocents in Barcelona but the “Muslim” component of the headline is removed by Big Media. President Donald J. Trump beat the sh*t out of North Korea. Steve Bannon was fired from the White House and all the news headlines merged into one.
Steven K. Bannon, the swashbuckling former Goldman Sachs banker and press baron of Breitbart news who calls himself “Chief Strategist” of Trump’s historic campaign, is in deep trouble within the Trump White House.
To be clear, I am no fan of National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster whose globalist views and hires are negating the foreign policy the President ran on.
I am one who had publicly defended Bannon from false charges of racism and anti-Semitism yet I have concluded he is a spent force, never being willing to spend his political capital to help his friends and in some cases helping empower the very Globalists he claims to oppose. [snip]
It is more in sadness than in anger that I conclude that Steve Bannon has failed to look out for the Trump constituency, while establishment “never Trumpers ” line up for cushy jobs and prestigious ambassadorships. Not understanding that “personnel is policy”, Bannon refused to fight for any of his allies or those who helped get Trump elected. It’s as if Steve felt the grubby business of patronage was below him.
Self-promotion and ham-handed leaking have hurt Steve badly in the Trump orbit. There is no Karl Rove in Trump-World. Trump is his own man. He is not handled or managed and hates it when subordinates try to do so. He is his own strategist and correctly resents when others take credit for the historic strategy and win, that is really his alone. [snip]
In all fairness, all of the key elements of the message that elected Trump had been chosen and defined by Trump himself long before Mr. Bannon arrived at the Trump campaign for the final weeks of the campaign.
The able Sam Nunberg worked diligently with candidate Trump to help him package his views during the earliest stages of the campaign and Trump road-tested these themes and honed them. He never deviated from these core messages; the dangers of our immigration system and the Wall; the inequities at NATO; our flawed international trade deals that he saw destroying the American job market; the abuses of America by the Chinese, fixing our broken Veteran’s healthcare system; opposition to costly foreign wars where the national interest is not absolutely clear. These were all planks in the Trump platform before Steve showed up. [snip]
It was always Trump’s campaign. [snip]
The Trump State Department has failed to excise the Soros control of a number of U.S. embassies and is currently leaning on the Hungarian government not to impede Soros toppling of that democratically elected government. Bannon delivered the Trump State Department into the hands of the Globalists.
While Bannon chafed with the influence of Presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, he would never oppose him frontally and he never even lifted a finger against the appointment of quislings like Dina Habib Powell and Goldman Sachs’ Gary Cohn.
Bannon failed to push the President to use his most potent rhetorical and political weapon-Term Limits -in his current fight with the Congress. Bannon did nothing to dissuade the President from endorsing Mitch McConnell’s candidate in the Alabama Special Election primary which sent the clear signal to Republicans in Congress that you can thwart the President and there are no consequences.
Bannon has also failed to tell the President about the single most potent weapon he has; FISA Court certification that Obama’s NSA actively, illegally and unconstitutionally spied at least on 30,000 Americans for purposes of political espionage. These indictable offenses and their prosecution is the key to derailing the Deep State coup unfolding before our eyes, yet Bannon never mentioned the FISA ruling to the President.
When Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio who was a strong and articulate supporter of the President and his criticism of our current Immigration policies, was indicted for civil rights violations of prisoners in his custody the Obama Justice Department made certain he was tried under the wrong statue to deny him a jury trial. The Justice Department illegally monitored the Sheriffs communication with his lawyer as well as improperly communicating directly with the judge during his trial Arpaio’s prosecution is a political hit job and the government’s misconduct in his prosecution are certainly grounds for dismissal by the Trump Justice Department. Steve Bannon never mentioned the case to President who was shocked to learn about Arpaio’s conviction when he didn’t know about his trial. All of Arpaio’s phone calls to Bannon to protest his treatment by the Trump Justice Department went unanswered. [snip]
There is no reason for conservatives to be upset about the coming purge of Steve Bannon. He did a lot to help himself but not much to help us.
We don’t think Steve Bannon is the demon loser Roger Stone paints him out to be. But for us Steve Bannon had to go the moment he gave an interview to The American Prospect:
Contrary to Trump’s threat of fire and fury, Bannon said: “There’s no military solution [to North Korea’s nuclear threats], forget it. Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that ten million people in Seoul don’t die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don’t know what you’re talking about, there’s no military solution here, they got us.”
At that point Bannon lost us. Steve Bannon mocked President Donald J. Trump and his latest steps to euthanize North Korea and mocked President Trump’s efforts. Good-bye Steve Bannon. As Roger Stone said of President Trump, “He makes his own decisions. He also will make wholesale changes if he thinks things aren’t going well.” Corey Lewandowski, Paul Manafort, countless others have learned this lesson before.
The bottom line for us is that as an advisor Steve Bannon contributed very little other than the gloss of support from outlets such as Breitbart. We also did not like the obvious leaks from Bannon. President Trump should fire all the leakers at the White House even if they happen to be family. The only leaks that should happen are leaks the President authorizes.
The best thing for President Trump and Steve Bannon is for Steve Bannon to go back to Breitbart and fight the war he never fought inside the White House. All of which he has done or promises to do:
Bannon Says He’s `Going to War for Trump’ After White House Exit
Ousted White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon returned to the conservative Breitbart News website on Friday and said he’ll be “going to war” for President Donald Trump, vowing to intensify from the outside the fight he has waged against opponents of his brand of populist conservatism.
“If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House and going to war for Trump against his opponents — on Capitol Hill, in the media, and in corporate America,” Bannon said Friday in an interview with Bloomberg News hours after his departure was announced.
Bannon led the evening editorial meeting at Breitbart, where he resumed his role as executive chairman, the website said in a statement.
Steve Bannon was a wasted resource at the White House. Now Bannon can attack the GOP establishment and not look like an agent of the President. We want Bannon to agitate. Bannon now is free and therefore more powerful. Bannon should now focus his fire on McConnell and Ryan, the treacherous two.
Steve Bannon resigned on August 7. This resignation came before the Charlottesville race-baiting.
President Donald J. Trump is not blameless. President Trump must take the full blame for his actions. President Donald J. Trump is to blame for telling the truth. Every time President Donald J. Trump tells the truth he gets in trouble. Keep on telling the truth Mr. President.
Leftist violence hurts the left and any dolt who does not understand that simple equation we refer to some of our previous articles on Chicago 1968 as well as the debates between Martin Luther King and leftist hero Malcolm X who advocated violence. Dr. King chided Malcontent X that the guys with the guns were on the other side. End of story.
The Democratic party, for now a politically powerless bystander, is using its media allies to fight its future battles. The ultimate aim is to disillusion the 2016 Trump voters in the erstwhile “Democratic blue wall” in upcoming elections. The real world political fight as far as the presidency is concerned is in the Electoral College battleground states. The stark truth is that the vast majority of states will nearly always vote the same way in the next election. Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and of course Florida will decide the presidency in 2020.
Add to the many Obama Dimocrats already about to lose their reelection runs to the Senate the potential loss now of Senator Menendez who will soon face trial and will be replaced by a Chris Christie appointment. Add the growing scandals the Obama Dimocrats face regarding the three Muslim brothers protected by House Dimocrats.
Trump voters? Even the L.A. Times in their polls see the evidence that Trump supporters remain Trump supporters. The “polls” will show a dip in Trump support as some Trump supporters “go underground” for safety with their Trump support as the totalitarian leftist hate boils and bubbles. But as in 2016 Trump supporters will be Trump voters in 2018 and 2020.
There is also Barcelona. Another Muslim terror attack on the West. This will drive the vote in 2016 and 2020. The Obama Dimocrats will run on anti-Trump hate and no agenda other than leftist lunacy on social issues. President Trump will run on Make America Great Again in 2020. His greatest ally will be reality and history. Everything old is new again.
It’s over for Trump… again. Again and again President Trump’s opponents reveal new levels of madness as they concoct Rube Goldberg fantasies and inject political hallucinogenics into their already fever mad bloodstreams. The arts of divination is now where the totalitarian left looks to for succor. It’s in the stars where the left looks for astrological portents that herald the fall of Trump.
The totalitarian left abates its breath until August 21, the date of the massive eclipse of the sun and portents of the downfall of a king. But we won’t mock the astrological arts today. However, at the end of this article we do post a warning to the totalitarian left regarding the astrological arts compared to political prognostication.
We can’t mock the astrological arts. Anyone who has read Joseph Campbell understands “The Power of Myth”. We who revere the literary work of William Shakespeare understand the power of myth, providence, and prognostication. From King Lear, Act I Scene II:
GLOUCESTER: These late eclipses in the sun and moon portend no good to us. Though the wisdom of nature can reason it thus and thus, yet nature finds itself scourged by the sequent effects. Love cools, friendship falls off, brothers divide, in cities mutinies, in countries discord, in palaces treason, and the bond cracked ’twixt son and father. This villain of mine comes under the prediction—there’s son against father. The king falls from bias of nature—there’s father against child. We have seen the best of our time. Machinations, hollowness, treachery, and all ruinous disorders follow us disquietly to our graves. Find out this villain, Edmund. It shall lose thee nothing. Do it carefully.—And the noble and true-hearted Kent banished, his offense honesty! ‘Tis strange, strange.
EDMUND: This is the excellent foppery of the world that when we are sick in fortune—often the surfeit of our own behavior—we make guilty of our disasters the sun, the moon, and the stars, as if we were villains by necessity, fools by heavenly compulsion, knaves, thieves, and treachers by spherical predominance, drunkards, liars, and adulterers by an enforced obedience of planetary influence, and all that we are evil in by a divine thrusting-on. An admirable evasion of whoremaster man, to lay his goatish disposition to the charge of a star! My father compounded with my mother under the dragon’s tail and my nativity was under Ursa Major, so that it follows I am rough and lecherous. Fut, I should have been that I am, had the maidenliest star in the firmament twinkled on my bastardizing.
In Julius Caesar the portents of the assassination to come on the “Ides of March” are writ large in the stars, in omens, and from seers who warn from the streets. Caesar’s assassin, Brutus, is named throughout the ages and in the Divine Comedy by Dante, along with Judas, as one engaged in the most unpardonable sin – treachery. Mistakenly, and this is but a precursor warning from us to those who fantasize the fall of President Trump, Brutus believes fortune is on his side:
There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves
Or lose our ventures.
The totalitarian left believes that like Brutus they are in grace with fortune and men’s eyes. Like Brutus they will find themselves run through and bleeding by the sword of history. Edmund and Edgar deck our analysis with Shakespearean vigor:
EDGAR: How now, brother Edmund? What serious contemplation are you in?
EDMUND: I am thinking, brother, of a prediction I read this other day, what should follow these eclipses.
EDGAR: Do you busy yourself about that?
EDMUND: I promise you, the effects he writes of succeed unhappily — as of unnaturalness between the child and the parent, death, dearth, dissolutions of ancient amities, divisions in state, menaces and maledictions against king and nobles, needless diffidences, banishment of friends, dissipation of cohorts, nuptial breaches, and I know not what.
How long have you been a sectary astronomical?
In the first part of Henry VI, there is the following reference to comets and their portent:
“Hung ye the heavens with black, yield day to night,
Comets, importing change of times and states,
Brandish your crystal tresses in the sky,
And with them scourge the bad revolting stars
That have consented to Henry’s death.”
In the same play, Talbot thus addresses his son:
“I did send for thee
To tutor thee in stratagems of war
But O malignant and ill-boding stars
Now thou art come to the feast of death,
A terrible and unavoided danger.”
In All’s Well That Ends Well, Helena and Monsieur Parolles have the following conversation:
Helena. “Monsieur Parolles, you were born under a charitable star.
Parolles. Under Mars, I.
Helena. I especially think under Mars.
Parolles. Why under Mars?
Helena. The wars have so kept you under, that you needs be born under Mars.
Parolles. When he was predominant?
Helena. When he was retrograde, I think, rather.”
The retrogression of a planet, which was said to have an oppressive effect, may also have been alluded to by the King in Hamlet, when he observes, “”It is most retrograde to our desire.”
In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo rebels against the astral destiny of his beloved, when he hears the news of her death:
“Is it even so? Then I defy you stars . . . “
Later, in the tomb, he exclaims:
Will I set up my everlasting rest
And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars from this world-wearied flesh.”
Conversely, in The Tempest, Prospero alluding to his lucky star says:
“I find my Zenith doth depend upon
A most auspicious star; whose influence,
If now I court not, but omit, my fortunes
Will ever after droop.”
Shakespeare might have been a skeptic or an adherent of astrology. In any case Shakespeare understood it’s power as a literary device.
The totalitarian left has always proclaimed itself as atheist, without any belief in the power of providence that Abraham Lincoln declared guided his life and presidency:
The will of God prevails. In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, and one must be, wrong. God cannot be for and against the same thing at the same time. In the present civil war, it is quite possible that God’s purpose is something different from the purpose of either party; and yet the human instrumentalities, working just as they do, are of the best adaptation to effect His purpose.
The totalitarian left likewise mocks astrology – except when it masturbates their fantasies of the fall of Trump. Herewith, the leftist swamp Newsweek:
The Solar Eclipse Could Mean Disaster for Trump, According to Astrologers
Donald Trump’s presidency was written in the stars—at least that’s what astrologers are saying. He was born during a lunar eclipse, they point out, which makes him more susceptible to the power of eclipses. And if eclipses are monumental celestial events with real-world consequences, as astrologers believe, then the rare total solar eclipse happening in August could have major implications for Trump, especially given the growing drama around his administration.
“There’s been a lot of conversation about this eclipse in terms of what’s going on with Donald Trump,” says Wade Caves, an astrological consultant who earlier in July published a 29-page analysis of the coming eclipse. “The astrological world has been completely buzzing with this for quite some time, even more so since Donald Trump was inaugurated.”
On August 21, the solar eclipse will occur as the moon passes between Earth and the sun, casting a shadow about 70 miles wide on the U.S. Total solar eclipses happen every year and a half or so, but this is the first time since 1918 conditions will align so that the shadow will cross the entire continent, in what is called the “path of totality.” It’s also the first eclipse since 1776 whose path falls exclusively in the U.S. [snip]
“Solar eclipses have been interpreted as evil omens by many civilizations because the life-giving sunlight is obscured for a few minutes,” wrote space scientist Duncan Steel in his 2001 book Eclipse: The Celestial Phenomenon that Changed the Course of History. Steel pointed out that accounts of the death of Jesus Christ have depicted a so-called “Crucifixion eclipse,” and that the ancient Chinese would beat drums and shoot arrows into the sky to ward off what they believed was a dragon devouring the sun. [snip]
“So there’s this symbolism that’s built in with eclipses about…things coming to a close, and in often a very dramatic fashion.”
The August eclipse is not only unique because of its rarity, astrologers claim, but also because the astrological activity associated with it happens to line up with that of the president. The eclipse is occurring in Leo, for instance, which is rising in Trump’s chart. The lion is the symbol for Leo, and thus the sign represents rulers and kings. “At the moment that he was born, certain degrees were activated. This eclipse is activating those same degrees,” Caves says about Trump. When other aspects of the eclipse are taken into account, he adds, “a lot of astrologers are expecting some kind of downfall, some kind of ruin, some kind of difficulty.”
For the leftist delusionist totalitarians the August 21 eclipse portends the fall of Trump. One astrologer maps the stars:
At this moment, she says, the U.S. is in a dramatic period, and “then this eclipse comes along” that “can be expected to spark this frustration and quite possibly set it off.” As she explains it, the moon represents the common people, and the sun represents the leader. Then the moon blocks the sun and “the lights go out.”
The effects of the coming eclipse could take time to show up, according to astrologers’ claims. Caves believes the impact will appear over the next two years because the eclipse will take around two hours to cross the continent (for a solar eclipse, astrologers interpret each hour as a year). The result could be “a loss of a leader in some sense,” he says, whether literal or symbolic. “It seems to me very possible that by this time next year, we’re looking at the reality of Trump not being in office.”
In February, DeLeo-Moolenaar wrote on her blog Archetypal Assets that she finds it significant how the eclipse will involve Uranus, according to astrological charts. That planet, she wrote, “disrupts everything that it touches. It is a lightning bolt from the blue. Serious change in any direction and on a major scale.” And because Uranus “will make close aspects to Mr. Trump’s natal Mars,” she wrote, “this will be a power surge—provoking a crisis of some sort. Whether for good or evil, we can’t know in advance.”
Marjorie Orr, another astrologer, pointed out last November, just four days after the election, that the August eclipse is part of what space scientists know as the Saros series, which has included eclipses in 1909, 1927, 1945, 1963, 1981 and 1999. Orr noted the major political events in those years: the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, the attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the death of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a period of unrest in Chicago that involved bombings and an attempted assassination of President William Taft. “Usually this series places strains on personal relationships, induces hasty decisions on the basis of false information and is associated with tiredness or health problems,” she wrote. “Certainly this eclipse presages violence in one form or another.”
The astrology blogger Eugene Johnson predicted in April: “This eclipse by itself does not suggest that the U.S. is in immediate peril for war, but it alerts us to be prepared for some kind of significant, perhaps shattering, event here in America.” Johnson noted that the chart for the eclipse will involve Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto and Neptune. “I can safely say that this eclipse series will mark important developments on the world stage because of the high preponderance of outer planets involved,” he added.
Caves has published perhaps the most thorough analysis. He wrote that the position of the eclipse in relation to the star Al Jabhah traditionally “brings loss and danger,” and that when it involves a military officer—or president—it suggests the possibility of mutiny by soldiers.
Caves singled out certain dates that could prove significant: October 10, November 21, November 26 and December 17 through 19. It’s “possible that there will be a sudden health issue that lands on Trump’s shoulders, pulling him out of the Oval. It’s also quite reasonable to suspect ousting, either through official channels (i.e. impeachment) or a mutiny behind closed doors,” he wrote. “What we can say with reasonable assurance is that these charts, when properly considered, make it difficult to imagine Trump has smooth sailing ahead.”
This totalitarian screed by Newsweek and most of the astrologers cited is not astrology. It is political prognostication. There is no one better at political prognostication than we here at Big Pink and we know this is political nonsense disguised as astrology. That Moolenaar character ends her “astrological” screed with this bit of political nonsense:
No one can tell in advance what will happen. This is the nature of both eclipses and Uranus transits. But for what it’s worth, I’m putting my money on some sort of frenzied, angry, ego-driven communication made by Trump that will seriously disrupt /alter the position of the United States re: its neighbours, Mexico and/or Canada.
That’s leftist political wish-casting bullsh*t from a loon. It’s politics disguised as astrology.
So this influence definitely attacks both the government and US democracy, either by dragging scandals into the open or letting loose hard right-wing fanatics.
Yet another left-wing fanatic posing as an astrologer does not know the difference between the Watergate hearings in Congress and the Army/McCarthy hearings during the Eisenhower years. Yet this idiot dares make his political leanings paramount in his phony astrology:
It seems, from an astrological perspective, that DJT is the ‘man of the hour’ for America; that the karma of the nation has sprung him upon the US at a moment of great need for a leader, but, in what seems to be a cruel trick, the savior has clay feet, maybe clay all the way to the top of his head, and a motor mouth that he cannot seem to control.
This loon who is two rocks short of the moon declares that Secretary of State Tillerson on a visit to the 38th parallel in South Korea appeared in “his manner, words and tone resounding authority and threatening.” No discussion about the totalitarian nature of North Korea and the menace it poses to the world. In his defense, at least this political “astrologer” acknowledges that maybe all this trouble to be seen coming in August might be about North Korea.
And that’s where a lot of these leftist claptrap astrological death forecasts for Trump come down to. They say ‘a leader will die’ then surmise that leader is Trump. Maybe it is Nancy Pelousy with all her scandals about to kiss the dirt. Maybe it is the clearly unhealthy Bill Clinton. Maybe Hillary Clinton will have another seizure. Maybe Barack Obama will choke on his crack pipe. Maybe Chuck Schumer will swallow his tongue. Maybe President Trump is away from the White House not because of heating and air conditioning installations. Perhaps it is to be able to plan a surprise for North Korea in secret, away from leakers? Maybe the swinging star that is about to fall will be on the fat kid in North Korea.
These leftist phony “astrologers” fantasize that President Trump will fall even as every other “it’s over for Trump” fantasy has failed. It’s a cycle of failure for these leftist loons.
* * * * * *
So why do we waste our time on these loons and their incessant “it’s over for Trump” pornography? We do so because there is a valuable lesson for President Trump and his associates to learn from astrology.
At the beginning we stated that we would issue a warning to these anti-Trump fantasists who dream of the fall of Trump on August 21. We’ve seen this play out before you leftist loon wackos. We refer of course to the great astrologer Dr. John Dee.
Dr. John Dee was astrologer to the monarch that ruled England during William Shakespeare’s time. The great Queen Elizabeth that brought in The Golden Age for England in much the same manner as President Trump seeks to “Make America Great Again”, was beset by astrological portents and omens that forecast her demise and the demise of England.
The greatest empire in the world at that time was Spain. Rich Spain with it’s conquests and treasuries full of gold from the Incas and Mayans bristled against protestant England. The Spanish king denuded Spain of its forests in order to build a great armada to attack, invade, and conquer England.
The English Queen, beset by the political establishment of her time, with an empty treasury, and enemies foreign and domestic which attacked her at every turn sought counsel from the celestial orbs. Queen Elizabeth set off to consult her astrologer Dr. John Dee:
Dr. Dee looked not at the stars but at Elizabeth’s face in order to map her fate. His advice to Elizabeth the Queen was to let her wings soar about the winds. Let Elizabeth be Elizabeth.
Dr. Dee forecast “the rise of a great empire, Majesty, and the fall of another”. Which empire would fall and which would rise was not discernable. Elizabeth rallied her people to her star.
All doubt was cast aside. The eagle soared above the waves and the ships of the enemy set afire and sent into the storm.
The lesson to President Trump’s enemies is to beware of political astrology that is nothing but wishes and false Hope and Change.
The lesson to President Trump is to cast out all doubt and doubters. Soar in the mighty wind. Fly over the flames of your enemies. Make America Great Again. Let Trump be Trump.
Update: Think what we write about below is wrong? Wrong. Look at what we suggest President Trump do to congressional exemptions from ObamaCare and the ObamaCare subsidies issue litigated against Barack Obama’s illegal subsidies as determined to be so by the courts. Check out this most important “tweet” from President Donald J. Trump:
If a new HealthCare Bill is not approved quickly, BAILOUTS for Insurance Companies and BAILOUTS for Members of Congress will end very soon!
Ram ObamaCare exactly as written in law down the GOP congressional throat. Ram ObamaCare exactly as written in law down those who enjoy illegal subsidies the courts have struck down but not yet implemented – then watch as they realize ObamaCare is an Obamination. Enforce ObamaCare as written into law and watch the health insurance system collapse. Ram ObamaCare down every Obama Dimocrat’s throat.
As soon as the failure of the ObamaCare repeal vote Friday morning, we thought this was death knell for Reince Priebus.
Reince Priebus had one job. The job was to bring the GOP establishment along to help President Donald J. Trump build the wall, repeal ObamaCare, stop illegal immigration, jobsjobsjobs, tax reform and cuts, invigorate the American economy, Make America Great Again.
With the failure of the ObamaCare repeal in the Senate and the silly House bill supposed to do the same but not really, it became clear to President Trump that his strategy must now change. The Obama Dimocrats and most importantly the GOP establishment want to destroy the President. President Trump no longer has doubts about that. Nor does President Trump apparently hold out any hope that anything but a war against the establishment of both parties is needed.
Hey, he gave it the good ol’ college try. Now President Trump can say he tried to be “nice” but that did not work. So what next?
We described earlier this week what needs to be done to repeal ObamaCare. All that advice still holds true. Please reread what we wrote there about beating the sh*t out of GOP liars that ran for office on ObamaCare repeal but when it came time to vote they did everything they could in private to sink the repeal efforts. We mentioned that President Trump should go to West Virginia to beat the sh*t out of Senator Capito. President Trump did go to West Virginia to address the Boy Scout jamboree. Surprise, surprise, next Thursday President Trump will be back in West Virginia.
Is the ObamaCare repeal dead? Only the most facile silly jaded type of “analysis” would assume so. ObamaCare repeal will proceed as we thought it should, with ObamaCare’s collapse.
We described what needs to be done to repeal ObamaCare. We wrote about the need to let the courts publish a final ruling that would finish off ObamaCare illegal subsidies crookedly dished out by Barack Obama.
How Trump can win the ObamaCare fight: End the “friends and cronies” exemption for Congress
If President Trump wants to fulfill his repeated promise to end ObamaCare, his best course of action is a radical change in tactics that would hit members of Congress where it hurts – in their wallets. The 55-45 vote Wednesday by the Senate rejecting a straight repeal of ObamaCare makes it clear that the president needs to try something new.
With a mere stroke of his pen, President Trump could end the exemption that President Obama gave members of Congress and their staffs that makes them the only participants in the ObamaCare exchanges to receive generous subsidies from their employer (the American people) to pay for their health insurance. Nothing would better focus Congress’ attention on changing ObamaCare than being trapped in it just like other Americans. [snip]
Back in 2009, when ObamaCare was being debated, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) was able to insert a provision requiring all members of Congress and their staffs to get insurance through the ObamaCare health exchanges.
“The more that Congress experiences the laws it passes, the better,” said Grassley.
Although his amendment was watered down to exclude committee staff, it still applies to members of Congress and their personal staffs. Most employment lawyers interpreted that to mean that the taxpayer-funded federal health insurance subsidies dispensed to members of Congress and their personal staffs – which now range from $6,000 to $12,000 a year and cover about 70 percent of the cost of insurance premiums – would have to end.
Democratic and Republican staffers alike were furious, and along with members of Congress applied behind-the-scenes pressure on the White House. During a congressional recess in August 2013, President Obama personally ordered the Office of Personnel Management, which supervises federal employment issues, to interpret the law so as to retain the generous congressional benefits. This overturned the intent of the provision Grassley added to the law.
OPM had previously balked at issuing such a ruling. [snip]
Polls taken by Independent Women’s Voice, a free market group, find that 94 percent of voters think Congress shouldn’t be exempted from the insurance provisions of ObamaCare. Most voters blame both parties equally for the exemption, which means Republicans will also be hurt politically if it stands.
“The president should announce that he is instructing OPM to end the exemption and subsidies for Congress,” IWV president Heather Higgins wrote in Monday’s Wall Street Journal.
”If the president does this, he’d have huge negotiating leverage. He would align the interests of the ruling class with those of his voters, forcing Congress to act. He might even get some Democratic votes.”
Wait until congress goes on another vacation to do this so when these congresscreatures complain they will be disciplined by voters. Better yet, announce this change at a rally in Arizona so that John McCain and his fellow NeverTrumper Jeff the Flake can get the full impact of the announcement.
President Donald Trump on Friday removed his chief of staff, Reince Priebus, and tapped Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly for the job.
The stunning shakeup is the latest chapter in the West Wing drama that has unfolded publicly in recent days. White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci attacked Preibus in profane terms in an interview published Thursday, and pledged to crack down on leaks that he suspected had come from Priebus.
But what may have ultimately doomed Priebus is the failure of congressional Republicans to repeal Obamacare.
Preibus, former chairman of the Republican National Committee during last year’s presidential campaign, led the White House effort to get that done on Capitol Hill, and his fate was largely tied to the success of undoing Obamacare, a source close to the White House told NBC News.
“He failed,” the source said.
The Republican failure to undo the Affordable Care Act — one of Trump’s central campaign promises — was the “final straw” for Priebus, another person close to the administration told NBC.
Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly has done a magnificent job. President Trump wants results and General John Kelly produced results. A clue for all other cabinet officials is the fate of Priebus and the elevation of John Kelly.
Kelly, who starts his new job on Monday, is a retired four-star Marine general whom Trump frequently credits for dramatically reducing the number of undocumented immigrants coming into the U.S. from Mexico. He called Kelly “a true star” in a tweet announcing his appointment as chief of staff.
Trump has placed a disciplined and respected military leader to head what is one of the most important jobs in the White House. The chief of staff typically serves as the gatekeeper to the president and plays a large role in staffing and policy decisions in the West Wing.
But Kelly’s appointment may also reflect the president’s deep concerns over White House leaks. In an interview on NBC News’ “Meet The Press” in May, Kelly said leaking intelligence information is “darn close to treason.”
Trump gushed over Kelly’s record at an event in New York on Friday afternoon.
“I want to congratulate John Kelly, who has done an incredible job of Secretary of Homeland Security. Incredible. One of our real stars. Truly, one of our stars. John Kelly is one of our great stars,” the president said.
Trump also tweeted at Priebus to thank him for his service.
We do have one complaint about this all.
We don’t mind the very public “game of thrones” “house of cards” displays of internal jockeying for position and power. We prefer this public throat cutting politics because it is better than the behind tapestries backstabbing so often practiced by public officials who then pretend they are such sweet gentle folk. Humiliating? The pundits and NeverTrumpers (ahem, Krauthammer) who wail about the “unseemly” displays of public hate and humiliation have forgotten JFK having aides watch him penetrate young women at the White House swimming pool or LBJ having discussions with public officials while he sat on the toilet seat emptying his bowels.
We think it is good for everyone who votes to see what goes on in the White House and how tough the people in these positions are. Wipe away the delusions of unicorns and fairy dust.
Our complaint is about John Kelly. Who will replace him at Homeland Security on a permanent basis?
Alright, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT ABOUT EVERYTHING BELOW. We don’t want you to wake up the totalitarian left to anything we write here. Plus – We’ve got answers for you on why President Donald J. Trump is upping his push on Attorney General Jeff Sessions to quit – and answers on the Senate repeal ObamaCare vote. As a special bonus we will have a good laugh at “The Better Deal” of Obama Dimocrats which is related to all this and everything we have written since 2007.
First, hold on a few minutes while we once again gloat.
On May 5 of this year, while everyone else was moaning and groaning about the horrible Big Media news coverage of Russia, Kushner, Manafort, Sessions, etc. and forecasts of Trump impeachment or irrelevance, and disaster for the GOP and Trump in 2018 and 2020, we made our own prediction contrary to all that blather. We predicted a Trump reelection victory in 2020 and a GOP victory in the congressional elections of 2018:
It’s not to early for us to declare that President Donald J. Trump will be reelected in 2020. We already know his officially trademarked campaign slogan for 2020. [snip]
Obama Dimocrats will make it much easier for President Trump to be reelected. Obama Dimocrats will run on “time for a change” in 2018 and 2020. The screams and howls of “time for a change” from Obama Dimocrats will doom them and reelect President Trump. Why? How? [snip]
It will be the Kooks versus the “normals” in the Dimocrat primaries and the Kooks will win every time. [snip]
By the time the general elections in 2018 roll in, the “normals” that have been duped into running as Obama Dimocrats in the primaries will be aborted. The new “normals” in the general election will be Republicans who will run against the Obama full tilt Kooks that won their primaries.
Yup! Years before the 2016 elections came we predicted the 2016 elections would be a change election and that if Hillary Clinton wanted to win she had to be the candidate of change. Hillary ignored us and Hillary failed. In 2020 the election will be a “stay the course” election. President Trump will be reelected.
Let’s get to the news. We’ve already explained how much we like Attorney General Jeff Sessions and why he is such a great disappointment that needs to go. We haven’t explained why President Trump continues to schlong the AG.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers!
Um, recess appointment. Attorney General Jeff Sessions needs to resign early in August so that when the congress goes on the latest of their many vacations President Trump can recess appoint a new Attorney General that will fiercely attempt to stop leaks from all the federal employees doing Obama’s bidding.
The U.S. Senate has a lot to do for the remainder of this year (and can barely get the minimum done) so we hope President Trump recess appoints hundreds, if not thousands of appointees.
That explanation out of the way let’s deal with why the GOP wins in 2018.
Failure? Trump is beating Democrats left and right
Democrats are handing President Trump a big fat “F” for his six months in office, but in this case the “F” may stand for frustration.
No matter what you think of Trump’s policies or personality, he has beaten Democrats on every angle.
The stock market is up. Unemployment is down.
And Trump has gotten nearly every nominee he wanted, including Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court, which was absolutely critical to fulfilling the Republican agenda.
Even his inability to repeal Obamacare has turned into a backhanded win for Trump, if for no other reason than that it’s freed him from having to come up with a workable alternative, which he clearly does not have.
Like it or not, he’s doing what his supporters wanted him to do: make a lot of noise, hit the brakes on the Democratic agenda and keep them entertained.
Willie Brown wrote that before the Senate voted to proceed with ObamaCare repeal and replace. Perhaps ObamaCare repeal and replace will really happen after all.
But Willie Brown’s analysis is “entertainment”. The real evidence of a GOP win in 2018 is particularly staggering because it comes from one of the most respected Democrat pollsters.
Big Media wants to continue the misinformation campaign against President Trump alive. That’s why Big Media has ignored the polls that matter. Our comments section already discussed the Reuters poll that twisted the results to make it appear as if President Trump is losing support amongst Trump supporters:
In May, 82 percent of Trump voters said they would vote for him again. In July, that number jumped to 88 percent.
Reuters continues to distort data to publish headlines which attack President Trump. That’s the tactic Big Media employed in 2016. That the tactic Big Media failed with and which made Donald J. Trump president in 2016.
Why does Big Media continue to distort data and lie? Big Media understands that it is imperative to separate President Trump from Trump supporters. Only by convincing Trump supporters to abandon President Trump can the left win. As we wrote in June:
If Trump voters stick with President Trump then the GOP leadership has to stick with President Trump and the 2016 elections are a rerun. Obama Dimocrats can’t get the voters they disparage daily.
That’s the point. If Trump voters stick with Trump, Trump wins in 2020 and the GOP wins in 2018 (as long as the GOP sticks with President Trump).
But the key point is one we have written about repeatedly in our long running series “Mistake In ’08“. In Barack Obama’s Situation Comedy Coalition series of articles and in the “Mistake In ’08” series we explained that the Democratic Party of FDR committed suicide when they traded the winning FDR coalition of voters for the losers of the Obama “coalition of the ascendant”.
New study projects stunning drop in 2018 millennial voter turnout in battleground states
The 2016 presidential election — and its outcome — may have given plenty of Americans a new sense of urgency when it comes to civics.
But a new study projects that 40 million Americans who voted last year will likely not show up at the polls for the 2018 midterms — and that two-thirds of those “drop-off” voters will be millennials, unmarried women and people of color.
The report, just out from the Voter Participation Center and Lake Research Partners, “Comparing the Voting Electorate in 2012-2016 and Predicting 2018 Drop-off,” notes that many of those expected not to cast a ballot next year live in key battleground states like Arizona, Nevada, Florida and Ohio.
“Everybody declines in their turnout in off-year elections. But the decline is much, much more dramatic among the ‘Rising American Electorate,’” Democratic strategist and pollster Celinda Lake said in a Thursday conference call about the findings.
According to the report produced for the nonprofit Voter Participation Center, which works to increase civic engagement, “35.1% of those who voted in 2016, or 25.4 million RAE voters, will stay home” in 2018. By comparison, “The predicted drop-off among non-RAE voters is only 22.1%, or 14.4 million voters.”
The study defines the “Rising American Electorate” as unmarried women, millennials ages 18 to 34, African-Americans, Latinos and other people of color as defined by the U.S. Census.
The totalitarian leftist kooks will be as surprised in 2018/2020 as they were late into the evening of election night 2016.
Get it? The Obama coalition of the “ascendant”, what the left has rebranded as the “Rising American Electorate”, is a coalition more suited for the network suits who seek viewers for their situation comedies. We wrote long ago that it was monumentally stupid to trade the FDR coalition of seniors and other voters who vote in every election for the whimsical types who vote for clowns like Obama.
The lunatic left convinced the Democratic Party in 2007/2008 to go with this new riff-raff RAE. As in 2010 the GOP is poised for a big victory in 2018 because of this grave miscalculation and stupid trade-off of voters. The GOP got reliable seniors and white working class voters while the Dims got goofballs and lunatics who burn cars and riot but don’t vote. Some trade huh?
Into the sh*t the Obama Dimocrats shat in 2007/2008 steps Chuck Schumer and the Obama Dimocrat Party with a new slogan. “A Better Deal” is supposed to be a harkening to FDR’s “New Deal”. “A Better Deal” is supposed to be a way to woo white working class voters lost to the GOP. But “A Better Deal” is a broken down rented mule.
Tucker Carlson zoomed in on the weakness of “A Better Deal” as a slogan the Obama Dimocrats don’t believe in:
In a follow-up interview with a congressional Obama Dimocrat Tucker Carlson asked about illegal immigration. Because illegal immigration brings down working class wages, will “A Better Deal” mean the Obama Dimocrats will now care more about American workers than illegal immigrants, asked Carlson. The Obama Dimocrat persisted to defend illegal immigration which means “A Better Deal” is a lie to lure the stupid.
But what about the centrist Democrats? What do they have to say? Well, not much. That was Hillary’s dilemma. Yes, she was about as charismatic as yesterday’s sushi, but even if she wasn’t, what could she say? Promise more things to black people? She already had their vote, more or less.
This reliance on reactionary identity politics is the root of the Democrats’ problem — a Faustian bargain that like all such agreements turns out badly in the end. LBJ’s original plan may have worked for the party (until now) but it has been a disaster for African-Americans whose communities and family life have been hurt significantly rather than helped.
Yet the Democrats cling to this cultivation of individual groups as if it were their only policy. Not surprisingly, these groups are finding themselves in conflict with each other, spelling problems for the Dems who have no way of reconciling the complaints of each. (The ludicrous construct of “intersectionality” has appeared because of this.)
“When you lose elections, as we did in 2014 and 2016, you don’t flinch, you don’t blink. You look in the mirror and ask what did we do wrong?” said Chuck Schumer, flanked on stage by nine other Democratic congressional leaders. “The number one thing we did wrong was not to present a strong, bold economic agenda to working Americans so they’re hope for the future might return.”
Chuck Schumer has been much remarked upon, even praised in many quarters, for stating the obvious — that Hillary Clinton should stop blaming the sun, moon, and stars, and, of course, Russia for her demise and look to herself for her failure to win the presidency. She was a wretched candidate with no obvious reason for running. Indeed, the WikiLeaks from her campaign operatives are rife with emails searching for some justification for her candidacy other than gender.
Hillary Clinton failed in 2008 and 2016 because she did not want to fight against Barack Obama and his coalition of kooks in the same way Bill Clinton fought the kooks in 1992. We predicted all of what has happened. The Obama Coalition was the death certificate of the Democratic Party.
The future now belongs to President Trump. At a boy scouts “jamboree” over 40,000 scouts cheered the future:
Want to know why Senator Capito voted “yes” on healthcare today. Look at that crowd in her home state of West Virginia. We suggested that to pass today’s health care vote President Trump should go to West Virginia and he did and it did.
Later on Tuesday, to pressure Senator Portman for future ObamaCare repeal votes, it’s Ohio time. President Trump flew to Youngstown Ohio, to show the young what a Real Better Deal is.
The GOP #RepealObamaCare battle is not a battle between moderates and conservatives. It is a battle between liars who voted to #RepealObamaCare when they knew Obama would veto such a law, and those who refuse to lie to the American people regarding #RepealObamaCare.
Likewise the resignation of Sean Spicer as a protest against the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as Communications Director and the public rebuke of Attorney General Jeff Sessions by President Trump are attempts by President Trump to keep his campaign promises.
Further, the Spicer, Sessions, Scaramucci, news and moves are intricately tied to the #RepealObamaCare strategy of President Donald J. Trump.
Let’s look at the Jeff Sessions schlonging by President Trump first. We like Jeff Sessions and think he was an integral part of the President Trump election in 2016 as well as a bright hope for the present and future. But first and foremost Attorney General Jeff Sessions has to do his job.
President Trump appointed Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General. But all along, as Jeff Sessions explained to congress, he knew he had to recuse himself from any Russia investigation because, according to Jeff Sessions himself, the reason he recused himself from doing all of his job was because he was a campaign official for Trump2016:
“I have decided to recuse myself from any present or future investigations of any matter relating in any way to the campaign of the president of the United States,” Sessions told reporters at the Justice Department.
He added that his announcement “should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation.”
The attorney general said he made his decision about recusal after his staff recommended that he step away from any investigation related to the Trump campaign, since he had been involved in the campaign.
Those like us who like Attorney General Jeff Sessions need to understand that his reasons for recusal were well known to him, or should have been known, before he took the job of Attorney General:
“My staff recommended recusal,” he said. “They said that since I had involvement with the campaign, I should not be involved in any campaign investigation. I have studied the rules and considered their comments and evaluation. I believe those recommendations are right and just.”
In a statement following his remarks, Sessions noted that his recusal goes for “any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaign for president of the United States.”
“Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president. How do you take a job and then recuse yourself?” Trump said.
Sessions said he promised at his confirmation that he would recuse himself if his “impartiality might reasonably be questioned.” He said he stepped back from the investigation because it probed a campaign he was involved with.
The Jeff Sessions recusal has ramifications beyond the Russia nonsense. We want a bunch of special prosecutors appointed, but Jeff Sessions’ recusal means we won’t get them unless he resigns. Right now we need a special prosecutor to investigate leaks coming from the Deep State and that includes the Justice Department. We need a special prosecutor to investigate the special prosecutor. But, recusal means no one getting that job done. Special Counsel Mueller must be put on a leash but because of recusal Mueller will do as he pleases and continue his witch hunt of the president.
Much that needs to be done by the Justice Department is not getting done because of Jeff Sessions’ recusal. Attorney General Sessions is doing fine on some issues but he is not fully engaged in pushing the Trump Agenda because Sessions recused himself from many issues that go back to campaign promises made by now President Trump. Between personal loyalties and people we like we will always choose to promote the agenda the American voters voted for. Jeff Sessions (and Deputy Rosenstein) need to consider removing themselves and sparing the president the task.
President Donald J. Trump wants the Justice Department to move rapidly to implement his agenda and that is why he built a fire under Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The AG must either build a fire to get his department moving forward or he will burn.
As to the Sean Spicer resignation and the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci this too is President Donald J. Trump demanding action by taking action. Spicer wanted the job and left when Scaramucci got the job. Those who recall the presidential campaign will recall that President Trump will chop heads when heads need to be chopped. That’s why the President has also reorganized his legal team which now consists of Ty Cobb, Jay Sekulow, and John Dowd.
Recall the last time Anthony Scaramucci was in the headlines. CNN made accusations against him. Scaramucci threatened CNN with lawsuits. CNN ran from the fight and fired top propagandists from the network. In brief, Scaramucci fights tough and President Trump wants fighters:
Three CNN staffers have resigned following the publication and subsequent retraction of a story linking a Trump transition team member to the Russia-related investigations.
Big Media won’t understand any of this. What we see is President Trump ready, willing, and able to fight. And that’s how you win the battle to #RepealObamaCare.
How to win the #RepealObamaCare fight? Um, fight, declare war!
President Donald J. Trump will rally his supporters in Ohio this week. This is a way to force Ohio Senator Portman to vote to #RepealObamaCare now, in the same way Portman voted in 2015 (when he knew Obama would veto) to #RepealObamaCare:
Senator Portman is a liar if he does not vote in 2017, like he did in 2015, to #RepealObamaCare! That’s the message President Trump, Scaramucci and his team, must push forward.
President Donald J. Trump should go to Nevada and West Virginia to campaign to #RepealObamaCare and against the liar senators from those states. Those two senators are liars that need to be called out. President Trump can be particularly effective in both states. In Nevada, Senator Heller is up for election this year. Senator Heller can be called a “liar” if he votes to not #RepealObamaCare. Senator Heller should also be primaried and defeated.
President Donald J. Trump has already made the threat against go to Hell Heller:
Liar Heller of Nevada was for #RepealObamaCare before he was against it:
Expose liar Dean Heller and send him to electoral Hell, Mr. President.
Senator Lisa Murkowski is a liar too:
Senator Capito is up for election when President Trump is up for reelection in 2020. Senator Capito must also be made to realize that she represents a state that voted by over 40 points for President Trump. President Trump should go to West Virginia and call Senator Capito a liar because she ran for election to #RepealObamaCare, but now is against #RepealObamaCare:
Run liar Capito’s ads against ObamaCare against her in West Virginia Mr. President. Senator Capito is a liar!
At the same meeting in which President Trump reminded Dean Heller about next year’s election, President Trump also discussed the illegal Barack Obama subsides for ObamaCare. President Trump has thus far not pulled the pin on this grenade but he has that weapon as a Trump card. Any Senator that does not vote to #RepealObamaCare must be held to account and the President can blame them for the collapse of illegal ObamaCare subsidies. We’ve written about the illegal ObamaCare subsidies before and cited news reports to explain this grenade:
House Republicans also sued and won an initial ruling over the Obama administration’s payments to subsidize health care costs such as co-pays and deductibles for Obamacare enrollees under a certain income level. A federal court agreed the funds were illegally appropriated; the Obama administration appealed that decision. But Trump could discontinue the appeal, and hold that over Democrats in negotiations to replace the law: If he chooses to discontinue those payments, health insurers — which would be on the hook for those payments even if the government funding dried up — would probably flee the markets or jack up prices next year. Millions of ACA customers would likely see their premiums spike and their plans become unaffordable.
“If Trump were to stop the cost-sharing payments, he could send the individual insurance markets into an immediate tailspin,” says Bagley. “It would be an extraordinary hit.”
President Donald J. Trump has a lot of grenades to throw at liars such as Heller and Capito and a lot of Trump cards up his sleeve. If President Trump wants to destroy ObamaCare all he has to do is implement ObamaCare as written and blame the Obama Dimocrats and GOP senators who refuse to #RepealObamaCare.
President Donald J. Trump should also warn the country about government control of healthcare. All President Trump has to do is retell the saga of Charlie Gard and the British run healthcare dictatorship that refuses the parents of Charlie Gard from taking their child for medical treatment at their expense outside of Britain’s dictatorial hospital establishment.
Conservative group warns of primaries for those who don’t back ObamaCare repeal
A top conservative group is threatening primary challenges to senators who vote against a repeal of ObamaCare after Senate Republicans failed to coalesce around a replacement plan.
Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who now serves as the president of the Senate Conservatives Fund, drew the line in the sand on Tuesday, soon after reports surfaced that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) plans to hold a repeal vote even though it’s already clear he doesn’t have the votes to pass it.
“Republicans have promised to repeal Obamacare for years and now with President Trump in the White House, there is no excuse for them to break their promise,” Cuccinelli said.
“Working with the grassroots across the country, we will seek to identify, recruit, and fund conservative challengers against Republican senators who vote against repeal. If they won’t keep their word and if they can’t find the courage to repeal a liberal takeover of our health care system that has hurt so many American families, they should be replaced by someone who will.”
Any and all Republicans who have lied to the American people about their willingness to #RepealObamaCare must be held to account.
