Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On: Elect Judge Roy Moore

Update II: Hardest hit by tonight? Al Franken. His hopes to stay in the senate after a Judge Roy Moore victory just went up in smoke.

——————————————————

Update: Like Jerry Lee Lewis decades ago Judge Roy Moore discovered on election night that sex scandals can kill a career. Judge Roy Moore lost the election in Alabama to an Obama Dimocrat.

The Obama Dimocrat did not “win” but rather Judge Roy Moore lost. Perhaps it was not campaigning for the past few weeks. Perhaps.

The big question however will be how much of the blame for this lost senate seat will be attributed to Steve Bannon and his fight against the GOP establishment. Steve Bannon can make the case that Judge Roy Moore lost because the GOP establishment abandoned Moore and engineered this defeat. In addition the GOP establishment solicited votes for write in candidates which on election night were sufficient (22,000) to deny Judge Roy Moore a win. It can be safely assumed that the battle between the GOP establishment and the anti-establishment GOP will continue.

As to the default “winner” Doug Jones, he has a tough future ahead. He won’t be certified as a senator until December 26 at the earliest after all the provisional votes are counted. Perhaps he will have to wait until January. If the vote which is still very close remains this close (49.5-48.8 with 99% of the vote in) don’t discount a recount. Alabama law requires a recount if the vote is less than 0.5%. Once all the votes are in just after Christmas Day, we might be in for a recount. Then in 2020 Doug Jones will face the voters of Alabama again with an Obama Dimocrat record of votes.

Did you know 27 year old Sonny “married” 16 year old Cher?

Did you know the hottest star in 1957 married his 13 year old cousin when he was 23 to the shock of many?

Did you know 24 year old Elvis met Priscilla and dated her when she was 14?

Did you know 74 year old Mick Jagger is currently dating a 22 year old woman and they’re “having a lot of fun” together?

Did you know one of our favorite songs, sung by Mick Jagger, chronicles the sexual exploits of a 15 year old girl (“I can see that you’re fifteen years old… No I don’t want your I.D.”).

Did you know French President Macron met his wife when he was 15 and she was his 39 year old high school teacher?

Do you know there is an election in Alabama today for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions?

* * * * * *

In a political world so devoted to hypocrisy it is easy to note the hypocrisies on top of hypocrisies we all engage in. Today it is the left engaged in the hypocrisy of sexual purity and the right engaged in the excuses of relativism. To vote based on these hypocrisies is the most hypocritical stance of all. The best vote is to vote for someone who will represent your policy choices not your ideal morality. As we always say, we hire plumbers and carpenters who do their jobs well and are recommended by those who previously hired them, not because of their personal moral lives.

Young Ted Kennedy killed a young woman in his car then later in life molested waitresses by turning them into the center of a sandwich consisting of himself and Senator Chris Dodd. Ted is dead but Chris Dodd still has a well paid job in the motion picture business. How come with all the Harvey Weinstein type revelations and the sexual abuses in the motion picture business no one in Big Media demands an investigation into the behaviors of Chris Dodd?

The known sins of Chris Dodd are in the past but now we are told that an Obama Dimocrat should win the Senate seat from Alabama because of allegations made against the Republican candidate, Judge Roy Moore, for his alleged sins from more than 30 years ago. The alleged sins include allegations by a woman that when in his early 30s Roy Moore dated young girls/women in their early and late teens.

The son of the woman thinks she is lying as does her boyfriend of the time. The lead waitress in the restaurant in which this woman worked at the time even questions whether the woman even worked in the restaurant in which the alleged acts took place. To add to the problems with the allegations, the only evidence (a yearbook signed by Roy Moore) was indisputably tampered with by the woman who makes the allegations and the portions she denies tampering with have been questioned as well. Yet the citizens of Alabama are supposed to listen to the allegations only and elect someone who will not represent either them nor their preferred policies.

It’s a big election in Sweet Home Alabama because “If Democrats can’t beat Roy Moore, it’s nearly impossible for them to win back the Senate next year—regardless of who they recruit.

It’s a big election in Alabama because the Republican control of the U.S. Senate is so slim (52-48) that a loss in Alabama along with the death of another senator could put Republican control in jeopardy before next year’s Republican big wins. Because of the many Obama Dimocrat senators up for reelection in red states in 2018 the likelihood of big GOP wins next year are assured. But a loss in Alabama could delay the MAGA agenda or kill it entirely for all of 2018.

Other than the ramifications of the vote on the MAGA agenda, there is not much other significance to the election today. Alabama is a deep red state and will remain a deep red state. Any loss today by the GOP will be remedied at the next election cycle in which the seat is up.

The only ramification from today of any significance is that a loss by Judge Roy Moore will hurt Steve Bannon and his war against the Republican establishment. Steve Bannon will still have to contend with allegations by the GOP establishment that his “winner” imperiled a sure win into a less easy win.

So who will win today?

Both sides have made some smart and dumb decisions. Judge Roy Moore was dumb to disappear for several weeks only to make sporadic appearances before friendly audiences. This decision was made because Obama Dimocrats wanted to heckle Moore at every appearance. The GOP was dumb to cut off funding to Roy Moore. This decision was because the GOP leadership wanted to force Moore out of the race and this was the best way to do so. Meanwhile one secretive Obama Dimocrat group spent four million dollars against Moore.

Obama Dimocrat Doug Jones made some very dumb decisions too. The dumbest was to be so very pro-abortion then to deny he was so very pro-abortion. It made him seem very shady as to positions and this helped Roy Moore to denounce him on policy. The dumbest decision by Doug Jones was to accept robocalls from Joe Biden and Barack Obama. Barack Obama is the kiss of death even in places like Massachusetts and even more so in places like Alabama.

Smart decisions? The smartest decision by Doug Jones was to attempt to attack Judge Roy Moore on a personal basis. Judge Roy Moore best represents Alabama on policy so Doug Jones attacking him personally was a smart choice. Doug Jones was also smart to not allow kiss of death Barack Obama to go to Alabama to campaign in person. Doug Jones might be able to survive kiss of death Barack Obama only making phone calls, but Doug Jones could not survive Alabama voters subjected to Barack Obama showing his big ears and stupid face.

Republican Judge Roy Moore made many smart decisions. The smartest was to refuse from the start to even consider resigning. It was too late anyway to change the ballots. Also smart was how Judge Roy Moore noted that the moment the allegations against him were made Senator John McCain and Senator Mitch McConnell immediately jumped to demand Judge Roy Moore resign. Both of these senators are hated in Alabama so Judge Roy Moore was smart to denounce them especially since these senators did not make the same demand of Obama Dimocrat Senator Al Franken when he was caught in photographs assaulting a woman.

Judge Roy Moore was also smart to mock Gloria Allred and her press conference with the alleged victim with the yearbook. Judge Roy Moore was also smart to deny his signature in said yearbook as well as to demand handwriting and ink analysis of the alleged evidence. When late in the election the alleged victim admitted to alterations in her yearbook “evidence” her case collapsed.

Judge Roy Moore’s super smart decision to stick with President Donald J. Trump also helped him enormously. Eventually President Trump came back to endorse Judge Roy Moore. Almost immediately the GOP began to provide needed funds for the last week of the election.

So who the Hell wins?

The polls in any special election are usually wrong because it is hard to determine who is a likely voter. The polls in this special election with all the caveats of special elections and the circumstances in this particular election have led to a polling stalemate of clownish proportions. Newsweek has a quick overview of the polls:

Fox News, for example, reveals a 10-point advantage for Jones, whereas CBS News/YouGov indicates that Moore is beating the Democrat by six points. On average, Moore leads the polls by 48.1 percent, compared with 45.9 percent for Jones—just a 2.2-point lead for the Republican.

FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver warns about how results should be interpreted, underscoring that a majority of polls have used “automated scripts” to measure voters’ preferences in Alabama. These surveys, also known as “robopolls,” show Jones trailing Moore, but they make “more assumptions when modeling turnout,” have fewer response rates and run into problems with voters who might be shy or embarrassed to disclose their true preference. By law, robopolls can’t call voters via cellphones, Silver notes.

The polls which canvass a lot of people (this is good) have problems in who they think will be a likely voter (this is bad). The polls which we think are better in this instance are robocalls. We believe that in automated voice polls people respond more honestly if they are for Judge Roy Moore because they don’t have to fear “judgement” from a live caller. However, these polls have generally questioned too few people so we are not happy with them either. Most of the polls we have seen, if not all, have problems with them. Fox News on election eve produced a poll with Judge Roy Moore ten points behind and on the same night the opposite was also produced by a rival poll:

Fox News put its credibility on the line when it released a new poll on Monday that shows liberal Democrat Doug Jones leads conservative Republican Roy Moore by 10 points, 50 percent to 40 percent, in tomorrow’s special election for the U.S. Senate in Alabama.

The contrast between the results reported by Fox News and every other recent major poll could not be sharper.

Earlier on Monday, an Emerson Poll was released that shows Moore up by nine points, 53 percent to 44 percent.

The five other most recent polls featured in the Real Clear Politics Average of Polls all show Moore in the lead.

Anyone who wants to be bored can read the link to the article which details the mess the polls are in.

The bottom line for leftists in this election is to pump up the black vote. The argument from the left is that if black voters overwhelm the polls the Obama Dimocrat will win. Will this happen? We don’t know because we are not in Alabama and this is the type of situation in which honest reportage would help to understand what the citizens of Alabama are seeing and reading and thinking. But because Big Media is so corrupt, because the political establishment is so corrupt, we can only guess with the evidence of the wind blowing on a wet finger.

Our wise wet finger tells us Judge Roy Moore will win. First because Alabama is a deep red state. Second because all the sex scandals (Franken and Conyers are only two of many) in the congress and in leftist institutions (where is Chris Dodd again?) helped Judge Roy Moore make his case that he was being forced out even as confessed abusers are still in the Senate (will Al Franken really ever leave?). Third, the terrorist attack in New York City and the chain migration issue will awaken Alabama citizens to the importance of the GOP control of congress. Fourth, the Supreme Court and the need to make sure that President Trump can get his nominees in the Judiciary appointed ASAP to MAGA. Fifth, Americans, especially those in Alabama, hate Big Media and will use every opportunity to defy Big Media.

Scream It Out: @RealDonaldTrump Election Day Anniversary Spectacular

Say it! President TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One year ago, starting today and into the morning hours the next day.

Today and tomorrow is our President Trump anniversary spectacular. Gloat. Enjoy. Celebrate. Today we also peer a bit into our crystal ball to look at what will happen.

If you want to experience election day and night one year ago though, just go to the best coverage, ours. Feel the downs and the ups, the fears and the glory. It’s all there. You can experience how the election went in one spectacular comment section from election night 2016. Then visit and relive the day he became President Elect Donald J. Trump in full awesomeness in an article we modestly titled “President Elect TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On November 11, 2016 we traveled from being the premier Hillary Clinton website to an endorsement of Donald J. Trump for President.

On November 4, 2016 we predicted that Donald J. Trump would win the election. We provided a map of a state by state analysis. We declared on that Friday before the Tuesday elections three states “too close to call”. Those states? Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, all of which Donald J. Trump won.

Relive election night 2016. Alcina lighting votive candles; Appollos5600 taking on the Big Media distortion of the numbers; GonzoTx lighting up candles too; JtJames chewing fingernails; Lorac wishing she liked drugs/liquor; Outris keeping up with the vote numbers; NoMoBama calling George W. Bush a jerk; Tony Stark calling the wins and losses of electoral votes; S following the number and calling out the discrepancies; everyone worrying about Florida at the beginning of the night; Admin at 8:01 noting the panhandle votes still not in; S at 8:02 totaling up the wins/losses; Lu4PUMA at 8:06 cheering on the panhandle as Hillary still had the Florida lead; S cheering up GonzoTx at 8:07 with the vote totals with Hillary ahead “gonzo closing 48.9 to 48.2”; Admin at 8:12 “Light those damn candles!!!!”; Admin at 8:15 “EVEN!!!! 48.5% At worst, recount. LIGHT THOSE DAMN CANDLES!!!!!”; S at 8:15 noting Trump ahead in Florida by 1,000 votes; Alcina at 8:16 with candle power “admin, i’m gonna burn this house down!”; Valleyboy cheering at the race stretch in Florida; Outris at 8:28 with the NYTimes giving Trump the Florida win; McNorman at 8:41 getting sick; NJLurker2 trying to keep calm; at 9:04 JtJames “dying”; Lorac at 9:05 bringing the news that Chris Wallace said Trump might be president; Admin at 9:14 “it’s beginning to smell like Brexit”; by 9:15 Florida and Ohio almost sure Trump and the tears of fears become tears of joy; by 9:30 even the New York Times forecast changed from a Hillary 93% chance of winning to a Trump victory!!!

It was over for Trump. He was now President Elect Trump.

Hillary Clinton got what she wanted. Hillary wanted to run against Donald J. Trump, as Politico reported. But as we wrote starting in 2013, the 2016 election was a change election and Hillary ran as the Obama third term status quo loser. President Elect Trump!

Big Media waited until the early morning hours to declare the obvious. But, history waited the declaration and it came as an avenging angel on judgement day.

Big Media lied, Big Media cried, Big Media died.

Watch the losers as they are sure they will win. Then watch as reality breaks through and busts their bubble. Losers:

THE FUTURE REMAINS THE SAME:

It was a revolution. The people won. As in all revolutions there are still those from the previous regime planning a counterrevolution. But the revolution has taken hold:

For many in Trump’s America, a year to crow about

Williamstown (United States) (AFP) – With unemployment declining, the local truck plant expanding and optimism on the rise, one industrial heartland region has become a microcosm of the reinvigorated America promised by Donald Trump.

Seen from Williamstown, 300 miles (500 kilometers) west of Washington, the political tumult since Trump’s November 8, 2016 victory appears artificial to those who welcome his leadership as a break from business as usual.

The sleepy West Virginia town is in Wood County where 70 percent of voters celebrated the anti-establishment victory. A year later, they are pledging their loyalty to the Trump revolution, praising the billionaire businessman-turned-national-leader for already delivering on his declaration to reverse their declining fortunes. [snip]

National indicators of consumer and business confidence corroborate the sentiment. [snip]

Runnion, the truck driver, says he is already committed: In 2020, he’ll vote Trump.

Trump voters remain Trump voters. As long as that does not change, Trump trumps.

But what about the polls???? The polls are terrible for President Trump just as they were for candidate Trump. President Trump can’t win say the polls. But the ABC News poll chief Gary Langer says something different:

Democratic advantage for ’18 might not be what it seems (POLL) [snip]

For one thing, despite President Donald Trump’s historic unpopularity, almost as many Americans say they’ll vote in 2018 to show support for Trump as to show opposition to him, 22 versus 26 percent, with half saying he won’t be a factor. Indeed 57 percent of Republicans say they’ll vote to show support for Trump, while fewer Democrats, 46 percent, intend to send a message against him.

Further, among the results of this poll, produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates:
Just 27 percent of Americans express confidence in the Democrats in Congress “to make the right decisions for the country’s future,” matching the low set when the question last was asked January 2014, and a wide 16 points below its peak in 2009. The Democrats’ confidence rating is almost as poor as the Republicans’ in Congress (21 percent trust) and worse than Trump’s (34 percent).

The main change for congressional Democrats from their peak in 2009, moreover, is diminished trust in some of their key support groups — under 30s (down 27 points in trust), Democrats themselves (down 26 points) and liberals (down 21 points).

The Democratic Party leads the GOP among all Americans as being “more concerned with the needs of people like you” (49-36 percent) and as “better representing your own personal values” (46-37 percent). But the Democrats had advantages that big on these same questions in October 2014, and still got hammered a few weeks later.

Indeed today, the Democratic lead on concern with “the needs of people like you” shrinks from 13 points among all adults to a mere 3 points among those most likely to vote in 2018. And the 9-point Democratic advantage on personal values among all Americans goes to a non-significant 3-point Republican advantage among the likeliest 2018 voters.

Similarly, the Democrats enjoy an 11-point advantage among all adults in the sense that the country would be better off if they took control of Congress in a year’s time, 37-26 percent. Among the likeliest voters, though, this shrinks to essentially nothing, 2 points.

It’s the same mistake most dummkopf analysts made about 2016. National polls which include the massive Obama Dimocrat populations of California, New York, Illinois, distort what will happen in elections in favor of Obama Dimocrats. The red states and the blue states (which Hillary Clinton won such as Virginia) will vote the usual red/blue ways. It is the swing states that make congress and presidents. As we’ve written before, citing Democrat pollsters, the polls read correctly portend Republican victories in 2018 and 2020.

As we celebrate, President Donald J. Trump is in Asia to lead the world. On Tuesday night, President Donald J. Trump addressed the National Assembly of South Korea. The reactions from even the leftists in South Korea demonstrate the war by Big Media against President Donald J. Trump is failing even in Asia as the Big Media fake news is destroyed by reality:

“Far from the ‘madman’ the media portrays, Trump came across as perfectly normal, smart, and well-mannered,” read one of the more than 1,200 posts on Naver.com.

Another wrote: “Wow, best speech ever. I feel so safe to have such a great U.S. president who is so determined to resolve North Korean issues.”

Yup. “I feel so safe to have such a great U.S. president….”

Donna Brazille And Hillary Clinton In Virginia Election

Update II: Winners and losers tonight? Big winner is Steve Bannon. Bannon has more evidence that the establishment way is the losers way. As President Trump, who gave a terrific speech in South Korea but took a few seconds immediately after to send a Tweet on the race put it, “Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for.” To win the GOP establishment must embrace President Trump. GOP candidates who try to be coy and two-faced with the public about whether or not they support President Trump – will lose.

Big losers are all those who hope to “reform” the Obama Dimocrat Party into a party they control. Bernie Sanders and his bros, Donna Brazile, all those who want to get rid of the Dim establishment, they all lost. The Obama Dimocrat establishment has proof after the night’s election results that they can still win in states Hillary won. The Obama Dimocrat establishment can now say to the naysayers “we win when we run establishment candidates in states that Hillary won so stop whining about change. Hope for change in the Obama Dimocrat Party is dead. Dead.”

Obama Dimocrats can’t win any state that President Trump won. As long as the status quo remains and President Trump wins states he won in 2016 and Obama Dimocrats win states they won in 2016 the big winner remains the champ, President Donald J. Trump. With this status quo result Obama Dimocrats can continue to lose and live to scream and rage at the results of their failures. For Obama Dimocrats winning the same states as they won in 2016 is losing.

——————————————————-

Update: Prediction time. This is a close one. Will Ed Gillespie pull out the win in Virginia. Hells bells this is a tough one. Gillespie had momentum going into the race so that gives him some edge. But Northam, as noted below, has all the advantages. So, to whom do we award the victory tonight?

Gillespie. Gillespie wins Virginia. Why? Yeah, he’s a closer and he began to run a Trumpy campaign near the end of the race. But is this enough? Is this enough to carry him over the edge? No. This is not enough to carry him over the edge.

But perhaps divine intervention? Um, divine intervention, hummm? You want divine intervention. Here’s divine intervention: this might just do it. This might just be enough to stop Dims from voting and the highly energized pro-Trump voters might toss Gillespie a favor and come out for him. If so, Gillespie wins.

Donna Brazile is a pig, or a cow, or as Hillary Clinton allegedly refers to her, a brain dead buffalo. That’s not to say that Donna Brazile, the pig, the cow, the garbage scow is 100% wrong in her latest book which is solely designed to make money for the self-interested Hillary-hating Donna.

The only reason we write about the pig, the cow, the garbage scow, called Donna Brazile, is because we at this website have a history with her, and because Donna Brazile and Hillary Clinton will have a great impact in tomorrow’s election in Virginia. Also, we like to gloat and we have a lot to gloat about as many of our predictions from 2007 and afterwards come to pass.

* * * * * *

DONNA BRAZILE IS A PIG

Donna Brazile is a long-time Hillary hater. Donna Brazile is also a long time self-interested pig who will do anything to promote her non-existent skills. We recall Donna Brazile when Brazile joined with Bush Republican Karl Rove to advance her interests over Democratic Party interests. We also recall when Donna Brazile attacked this website. Brazile at that time was employed as an “impartial” observer by CNN but Brazile was a pro-Obama hack who was only interested in attacking Hillary Clinton in 2007.

In the 2008 election cycle when we were the premier website in support of Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama, Donna Brazile demanded Hillary Clinton take down this website. During the 2008 election Brazile joined with Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelousy, and the Democratic Party establishment to gift the nomination to Barack Obama. Donna Brazile loved Barack Obama because of his skin color and because Barack Obama rewarded Brazile with positions and power beyond her feeble, rather non-existent abilities.

Donna Brazile helped rig the 2008 election for Barack Obama (recall Michigan and Florida). But as the horrible eight years of Obama ended, Brazile realized she needed to ingratiate herself with Hillary Clinton if the gravy train was to continue to bring money and position to Brazile. So in 2016 Brazile helped rig the election for Hillary Clinton by even providing Hillary Clinton with debate questions well before the debate occurred. For Bernie, zilch.

Now, with Hillary Clinton defeated and the Obama Dimocrat Party on a leftward lurch, Donna Brazile has written a book which describes the rigged 2016 Dimocrat primary election. Brazile in her book claims the 2016 primary election was rigged by the DNC in Hillary Clinton’s favor:

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie. [snip]

By September 7, the day I called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart.

Ever the buffoon, Brazile gets furious when President Trump or anyone else says, as Brazile admits in her book, that the 2016 Dimocrat primary election was rigged for Hillary. Brazile describes how the Hillary Clinton campaign controlled the DNC well before the primary ended and controlled the DNC finances sufficiently for all to see the primary election was rigged, Elizabeth Warren says the primary election was rigged, Bernie Sanders’ supporters know the primary election was rigged, but Brazile then denounces the notion that the primary election in 2016 was rigged. Brazile will undergo any contortion necessary to make money and stay in the spotlight.

Donna Brazile also claims Hillary Clinton’s campaign treated her like a “slave”. Brazile writes she prepared to remove Hillary Clinton as the nominee and replace her with Joe Biden after Hillary’s collapse in the polls and at the World Trade Center site. Brazile also attacks airhead and corrupt Debbie Wasserman Schultz. But that is all frankly uninteresting. What is interesting is that Brazile is exposing the chasms in the failed Obama Dimocrat Party. What is fascinating is the impact Brazile, and Hillary Clinton, and the great President Donald J. Trump are having in tomorrow’s governor election in Virginia.

* * * * * *

THE ELECTION IN VIRGINIA

Obama Dimocrats were supposed to win the Virginia governor’s election tomorrow. For the longest time the Obama Dimocrat was way ahead in the polls. Barack Obama campaigned in Virginia for Obama Dimocrat Northam. Obama Dimocrats earlier claimed the Virginia governor race was a herald for the sure win results in 2018:

Northam enjoys almost every structural advantage

Most polls have shown Northam ahead in the race, and there’s an easy explanation: He enjoys almost every structural advantage.

Trump: In addition to his 38 percent approval rating in The Washington Post’s poll, 57 percent of voters say their views of Trump are important in deciding their votes.

History: With just one exception (in 2013, when Terry McAuliffe defeated Ken Cuccinelli), the party that controls the White House has lost every gubernatorial election in Virginia going back to the 1970s.

The GOP’s poor performance in Virginia: Since 2005, Democrats are 9-1 in major statewide elections in Virginia (for president, Senate, governor), including Hillary Clinton’s 5-point victory in 2016.

Cash: Northam is outraising Gillespie, which is striking given Gillespie’s background as a former chairman of the Republican National Committee and lobbyist.

The advertising war: Northam is outspending Gillespie on the TV airwaves, while party spending has been about even.

“If Democrats lose, it will be a very big story, and there will be many assessments of what it means about the party’s prospects in the midterms next year,” Rozell said.

Republican Ed Gillespie was losing bigly in the polls. Then Gillespie began to campaign like Trump. Gillespie attacked gang crime by illegal immigrants. Gillespie began to focus on illegal immigration. Gillespie began to rise in the polls even as NeverTrump Republicans accused him of abandoning them and becoming more like winner Trump. As Gillespie became more Trump-like, the Obama Dimocrat Northam became more of a lying loser:

Ralph Northam’s campaign continues to drown in controversy as Virginia campaign finance reports revealed that the Northam campaign coordinated with the Latino Victory Fund to push a “sickening” ad that featured an Ed Gillespie supporter attempting to run down minority children.

Northam also recently flip-flopped in favor of banning sanctuary cities; the progressive Democracy for America denounced the Ralph Northam campaign for Northam’s about-face in favor of banning sanctuary cities.

Northam’s flip-flop is emblematic of Obama Dimocrat tactics. The tactic is to publicly flip-flop on positions to fool the voting public when those positions are an impediment to election victory. No principles.

VIRGINIA, BARACK OBAMA, AND 2018

The back and forth is not what hurts Northam in Virginia however. The problems for Obama Dimocrats are problems we have described for years. The problems for Obama Dimocrats is Barack Obama and Obama policies. Hillary Clinton became the Obama Third Term and that doomed her. Barack Obama is the kiss of death in Virginia too:

Clinton was guilty of “malpractice” in how she conducted her 2016 Presidential campaign, Greenberg told me. Even worse, he said, Democrats were repeating the same political mistakes a year later. “Look at Virginia right now,” Greenberg said, as soon as we sat down in his second-floor office. “We have a candidate”—Ralph Northam, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee—“running as Hillary Clinton. He is running on the same kind of issues, and has the same kind of view of the world. It’s the Republicans who talk about the economy, not the Democrats.” This was the approach that doomed Clinton against Trump. The electorate was angry in 2016 and remains angry now, Greenberg said, and Northam, a Norfolk doctor, didn’t get it. Neither did Clinton and the team of Obama veterans who staffed her Brooklyn headquarters. “If you live in the metro areas with the élites, you don’t wake up angry about what’s happening in people’s lives,” Greenberg said.

His rant was notable for a variety of reasons, not least because Greenberg was the pollster who helped Bill Clinton win the White House in 1992, and he has been a participant in every Democratic nominee’s Presidential campaign since, including Hillary Clinton’s. His criticism illuminates an urgent question for the Democratic Party, not just in next week’s governor’s race in Virginia but in the midterm elections of 2018 and beyond. Could Trump, as deeply polarizing and unpopular as he is, even be reëlected?

Greenberg and other prominent Democrats still furious about last year’s Clinton campaign think it’s entirely possible, unless the Party figures out, and fast, a way to tackle the problem that sealed Clinton’s fate in 2016: how to appeal to the disaffected white working-class voters who provided Trump’s unlikely win a year ago.

“That debate,” Greenberg told me, “which would have been pushed off had she won, is immediate.”

As we wrote in 2008 and in other articles in our “situation comedy” series about the “Obama coalition”, and in our long running series “Mistake in ’08”, Barack Obama has doomed his party. When we began to write about Obama, the kiss of death, we were mocked. Now we are seen as prophets. Only now, do the Obama Dimocrats speak out on the Obama kiss of death and regurgitate what we saw and wrote about going back to 2007. Barack Obama, his henchmen and policies, are the kiss of death:

In the weeks after Greenberg published his critique, I spoke with several other veterans of the Bill Clinton years who shared his appraisal of Hillary’s campaign—and said that their advice had also been ignored. “They viewed people like me and Bill Clinton as yesteryear,” one, who ran his campaign in a key Midwestern state and played a public role in Hillary Clinton’s campaign there as well, said. “They thought the world has changed, politics has changed. But their analytics were flawed. They were treating this like a third term for Obama, and it was a big mistake.” The internal critics, they told me, had also included the former President, but he was, as Greenberg put it when we talked, “frozen out.”

This was, I realized, one of the hidden stories of the 2016 election. [snip] But, even if the fight is in part an exercise in after-the-fact finger-pointing, the campaign’s internal struggles over how to talk to the Trump base in the formerly Democratic states of Middle America are just as relevant, polarizing, and unresolved today as they were a year ago. Should Democrats bet their future on attacking Trump and pledge, as the California billionaire donor Tom Steyer now wants them to do, to pursue Trump’s impeachment, at all costs, if they win back the House next year? Should they give up on the white voters who went for Trump in 2016 even though many had been reliably Democratic in the past? Was Clinton’s defeated primary challenger, Bernie Sanders, right to try to pull the Party to the left?

Without a resolution to these questions, the next Democratic nominee may well end up caught in the same trap in which Hillary Clinton found herself, stuck defending the legacy of the two-term Obama Presidency, even as the economic dislocations of the Obama era fuelled the rise of populism on both left and right.

Obama Dimocrats only now realize that Obama is the kiss of death. As we repeatedly wrote in the 2016 cycle (starting in 2013 with our “Muddled Message Mess” denunciation of the future Hillary2016 campaign) the moment Hillary Clinton became the Obama Third Term was the moment her campaign died. Barack Obama was indeed the “Mistake In ’08”:

But I haven’t talked with a single Democrat or independent analyst who doesn’t think that the Party remains in serious danger of another electoral catastrophe.

Recently, another former Bill Clinton adviser, the onetime White House political director Doug Sosnik, published an op-ed in the Washington Post arguing that, as the headline put it, “Trump is on track to win reelection.” Sosnik contended that Democrats needed to immediately start figuring out how to appeal to voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, where a shift in votes for Trump won him the election. I mentioned the Sosnik article when I recently ran into a Washington operative who had also served as a key White House aide to Clinton. “Of course, Trump could win,” he said. “We’re the party that doesn’t have a message that speaks to the country or stand for anything other than being against Trump.” [snip]

“The Democratic Party today is divided over whether it wants to focus on the economy or identity,” Greenberg said when we talked. That is, as he pointed out, just what the Clinton campaign was fighting about a year ago. Greenberg and others who came out of the Bill Clinton era—like the former President himself—had never really let go of the economy-first mantra that got them to the White House in a different time, and they felt that there was a generational conflict with the Obama operatives who held sway over Hillary Clinton’s 2016 strategy. It was a fight that dogged the Clinton campaign all the way until its final days, when Greenberg and his allies inside the campaign pushed unsuccessfully to close with a focus on her plans for the economy.

The Obama Dimocrat Party is a party that brazenly discriminates against white people. Forget character if you want a job at the DNC. Only your skin color counts and that skin color better not be described as “white” in any way. We told you so back in 2010. And it is only going to get worse for Obama Dimocrats as red states get redder and the Obama Dimocrat Party get blacker, more anti-Semitic, and more anti-Christian pro Muslim.

In Virginia the Obama Dimocrats should by all rights win. They should win bigly. The big wins would then presage bigly victories in 2018. Like Hillary Clinton in 2016 all systems are go for a big Obama Dimocrat win in Virginia.

But then Donald J. Trump happened in 2016. Virginia??? Obama Dimocrats hope that victory in Virginia will soon mean impeachment and indictments to solve their Obama problem.

The hope for change by Obama Dimocrats is that the legal system can eliminate the Obama Dimocrats’ political/electoral problems. In 2016 the Obama Dimocrats via Hillary Clinton thought they could race-bait their way to electoral victory. But Trump happened.

As Virginia votes tomorrow, we will watch the election returns even as we prepare to celebrate the one year anniversary of the election of President Donald J. Trump. Meanwhile Hillary Clinton will not be celebrating.

Hillary Clinton will be fighting old fights with Brazile and the Obama leftists. Hillary Clinton will be regretting the moment she became the Obama Third Term and the Shield Maiden of Chappaqua. Hillary Clinton will remember how she smeared her lips with the Obama kiss of death.

Hillary Clinton will be fighting fights from the past as President Donald J. Trump, fighting for America in Asia, will be Making America Great Again.

#WhatHappened? @RealDonaldTrump Happened: Thirteen Days In October

The confirmation of what we last wrote about the Kulturkampf is coming in every day. President Donald J. Trump is trumping the culture and without respite wreaking devastation on the political/cultural left.

Further, President Trump, like a boxer in his prime, with eight arms not the regulation two, delivers his powerful blows against leftist culture then recycles the blows to strike at leftist politics, then bludgeons the political left with the same blows he rains down on leftist culture then leftist politics then back to leftist culture.

It’s not just President Trump either. President Trump has so impacted the culture and the political swamps that it’s almost as if the political winds and tides act in obedience to the President.

All the while, President Trump gains strength as he weakens the left, which makes President Trump ever stronger to devastate the left even more. It’s a cycle that feeds the cycle, a fire that feeds the fire.

The one-two combination punches which lead to more one-two combination punches are fearsome and likely to increase in frequency and force.

* * * * * *

Culture War – Hillary Clinton, NFL, Weinstein, Virginia

Consider the issues President Trump addressed during the first thirteen days of October. On the culture side was the NFL and the millionaire players who refuse to stand and respect the American flag and the republic for which it stands. At a political election rally President Trump attacked the millionaire players who kneel and disrespect the flag. The NFL soon felt the gale force concussion-dealing blows from TrumpNado.

In walked Hillary Clinton to continue the cycle. Hillary defended the kneeling football players for their political stance disrespecting the flag on the cultural fields of football. Immediately President Trump pounced and politically trashed Hillary’s dumb defense of the cultural insult to the flag.

Somehow Hillary Clinton cannot understand that her hapless political support on this cultural issue helps President Trump. Somehow Hillary Clinton cannot see that it is the NFL, not President Trump, holding emergency discussions to try to defuse the issue which President Trump is only too happy to highlight every day. President Trump is winning on the cultural football kneelers issue and that helps him politically. Hillary, unable to see that she is lending support to vanquished armies, appears a dunce unable to distinguish a retreating army from an advancing army.

Hillary Clinton is also a figure in a cultural issue which has been used by the political left to attack President Trump specifically and the GOP generally. The issue is sexism and misogyny. Here, it is the political winds and tides doing President Trump’s bidding, not President Trump himself.

Harvey Weinstein. Harvey Weinstein and his crimes appear to the dunces to be a cultural issue. It’s not about hypocrisy though. It’s not about culture. It’s not about social norms. It’s about politics. The left has used culture issues as ammunition in the political war. Now it is all on the other foot as metaphorically mixed President Trump turns the tables, or rather the political winds and tides shift to favor President Trump and the GOP.

The Harvey Weinstein scandal is no longer about Harvey Weinstein. It never was just about Harvey Weinstein, as we explained. But the political left wanted to restrict the issue to Harv in order to protect the Hollywood cultural/political left and most importantly the entire structure of the political left leadership.

Again, Hillary Clinton, “clueless” as Alicia Silverstone’s character in the movie of the same name. Only, Hillary Clinton is pretending to be clueless. It took Hillary Clinton, defender of women, a long time to speak up about her pal Harvey. Then Hillary expressed shock and ignorance. The Harvey money would not be returned by Hillary however. Then today, any dunce that thought Hillary Clinton did not know about Harvey Weinstein became slack-jawed as a long-time Hillary and Bill crony from Hollywood, um, cut to the chase:

Harvey Weinstein may have been at the top of the sexual predator food chain, but these kinds of atrocities against women routinely go unreported and unpunished in the entertainment industry. The No. 1 casting criterion in Hollywood is that, above all else, an actress must be “hot and fuckable.” [snip]

As more and more women have come forward, A-listers who are normally intrepid, social injustice sniffers have scrambled to condemn Weinstein and announce that they had no idea all this was going on. Some said this despite knowing him for decades, starring in his films and being friends with accusers who starred in his films. [snip]

However, I will be the first to admit that clearly delineated moral choices can still be painfully complex where friendship is involved. One of the best friends I will ever have and a man I love dearly, former President Bill Clinton, has certainly taxed my feminist conscience, but always without diminishing my affection. I even helped write his apology to the nation for his own sexual misconduct, was sitting next to him when he delivered it, and believe to this day it was based on something that was none of our business. And yes, some may call it hypocritical, but I confess to having had no problem warning at least three top-level Democratic operatives against allowing Harvey Weinstein to host political fundraisers.

Top-level operatives of the party knew, and therefore Hillary knew. A good friend from Arkansas warned about the dangers of political fundraisers with now cultural pariah Harvey Weinstein so Hillary knew. But Hillary kept quiet and collected the cash. Same as the other women who knew. And the men who knew.

Gee, all those powerful, strong, bold women!!!! They all knew and they all kept quiet. Powerful rich women kept quiet. Women advertised as “strong and bold” kept quiet. Are there any truly strong women in the political/cultural leftist world???? Or are they all whores who pretended to be powerful and strong only to remain silent and tamed as long as the money was inserted?

Rose McGowen comes out the best in all this. Even better is the strong and powerful Ambra Battilana Gutierrez who after Harvey attacked her, immediately went to the police station to report the assault then cooperated with the police and recorded Weinstein only to have the politically powerful leftist District Attorney refuse to prosecute. Hillary Clinton? Yeah, she knew. So much for strong and powerful and bold.

Linda Bloodworth Thomason told top fundraisers about Harvey. But still Hillary Clinton went to Harvey Weinstein’s house to raise money. Praised Harvey Weinstein. Does anyone doubt that everyone knew and that many of those had to have warned Bill and Hillary Clinton that Harvey Weinstein was a predator even as he used his position of cultural power to help elect political figures?

Hillary Clinton knew. Hillary Cliton! When it is politically useful it is clit-on. When not, clit-off. Everybody knew:

We knew about the man’s hunger; his fervor; his appetite.
There was nothing secret about this voracious rapacity; like a gluttonous ogre out of the Brothers Grimm.
All couched in vague promises of potential movie roles.
(and, it should be noted: there were many who actually succumbed to his bulky charms. Willingly. Which surely must have only impelled him to cast his fetid net even wider).

But like I said: everybody-fucking-knew.

And to me, if Harvey’s behavior is the most reprehensible thing one can imagine, a not-so-distant second is the current flood of sanctimonious denial and condemnation that now crashes upon these shores of rectitude in gloppy tides of bullshit righteousness.

Because everybody-fucking-knew.

And do you know how I am sure this is true?
Because I was there.
And I saw you.
And I talked about it with you.
You, the big producers; you, the big directors; you, the big agents; you, the big financiers.
And you, the big rival studio chiefs; you, the big actors; you, the big actresses; you, the big models.
You, the big journalists; you, the big screenwriters; you, the big rock stars; you, the big restaurateurs; you, the big politicians.

I saw you.
All of you.
God help me, I was there with you.

They all knew. These leftist “cultural creatives” and leftist politicos all knew even as they pretend not to have known. They now denounce Harvey Weinstein only to watch their inner Harvey’s exposed like a flasher at a woman’s rights convention. Yeah, leftist Jeffrey Katzenbach, Molly Ringwald is talking about you:

The 49-year-old spoke about how she experienced harassment as early as 13 years old, when a fifty-year-old crew member said he would teach her to dance, ‘and then proceeded to push against me with an erection.’

A year later, she said, a married director stuck his tongue down her throat while on set.

When the magazine Movieline decided to feature Ringwald on their cover in 1995, ‘the head of a major studio – and, incidentally, someone who claims himself to be horrified by the Harvey allegations’ was quoted saying: ‘I wouldn’t know [Molly Ringwald] if she sat on my face.’

That studio head was later alleged to be Jeffrey Katzenberg by a number of outlets, linking to the magazine issue.

Jeffrey Katzenbach is one of the Katzenjammer leftists at the former DreamWorks, leftists all. Katzenbach made rich by his cultural life gives money to political Obama Dimocrats and other leftists to fulfill their leftist dreams.

Jeffrey Katzenbach and the other cultural leftists exposed alongside Harvey Weinstein will have to curtail their political donations as their money is now toxic. Katzenbach is not alone. Bob Weinstein, brother of Harve, tried to pretend he was shocked by Harve’s behavior. Soon Bob Weinstein too was exposed.

Ben Affleck, the non-talent wig wearing fatso who plays Batman in the latest “Justice League” is about to get justice as his many sexual assaults and harassments threaten the release of “Justice League” which was due in theaters in a few weeks. Bryan Singer, the talented director of X-Men and other big features does not like his vegetables but does like meat, little boy meat, and now he too is in trouble along with all of his ilk.

All these cultural leftists would ordinarily be called to use their “star” power to pull political loser candidates over the finish line in elections. Now, they are all neutered. Neither Matt Damon nor Ben Affleck, nor any of the Hollywood fakes will be going to Virginia for the big election there. It’s an election Obama Dimocrats know they cannot afford to lose:

Democrats See Virginia Governor Race as a Must-Win

A loss would give Republicans full control of Old Dominion government and raise questions about Democrats’ viability in a political environment seen to be trending in their favor. [snip]

But Virginia is often seen as something of a harbinger, however imperfect, of the political climate to come. Thus, Democrats are pulling out all the stops.

The Obama Dimocrat has led the Virginia Governor’s race in all polls except for the latest poll wherein Ed Gillespie, the Republican, is ahead. The kiss of death himself will campaign for Ralph Northam, the Obama Dimocrat, this Thursday. Why has Ed Gillespie raced to the top of the polls? A cultural issue President Trump began to speak about and which is a sure winner politically:

Gillespie recently rolled out new ads targeting Northam for being weak on crime and illegal immigration, and 40 percent of responders said they only trust Gillespie on crime. Just 24 percent of responders said the opposite, that they only trust Northam on crime.

President Trump spoke out about the MS-13 gang and Gillespie uses the gang’s slogan in a very provocative ad:

There was a time, before Trump, when race-baiting worked to elect Obama Dimocrats. No longer. RAPE, KILL, CONTROL are the MS-13 motto. President Trump is not afraid to speak out on cultural issues and therefore wins politically and now others follow his lead.

Obama Dimocrat Northam needed Barack Obama to campaign for him in order to bring in the black vote. But Northam has tried to play a sneaky game and he has been caught:

The cultural game of white southern leftist candidates pretending to love black people but keeping pictures of black candidates off the literature doesn’t work any more. President Trump has taught Republicans how to fight back fearlessly on both cultural and political grounds.

Thirteen Days: Enemies Foreign And Domestic – Iran, ObamaCare

The earlier “thirteen days in October” of significance involved JFK’s confrontation with the Soviet Union and Cuba. President Donald J. Trump the first thirteen days of October 2017 likewise has confronted America’s enemies, foreign and domestic.

The actions of the first thirteen days are exactly what we suggested a few days after his election victory President Donald J. Trump should do:

We know exactly what President Donald J. Trump must do, how he must do it, and when he must do it. Ignore what anyone else says. We know. We know. We know. [snip]

President Donald J. Trump must do exactly the opposite of what Barack Obooberama did in exactly the opposite way of how and when Obooberama did it.

It’s not even a year, yet the man who never sleeps is no longer slowly moving his agenda forward. After months of preparatory work and lots and lots of action, President Trump is now draining the swamps, moving his agenda forward, pushing the entire federal bureaucracy to move forward, and making huge leaps and bounds to move the Trump MAGA agenda forward across all fronts.

We explained the first months of President Donald J. Trump would be equivalent to the creation of an invasion beachhead on hostile territory:

Against Big Media, the Dimocrats, the GOP establishment, the intelligencia, Academia, Big Business, Big Institutions, the neo-con right, and the totalitarian left, Donald J. Trump fought and won. [snip]

President Trump represents an invasion that seeks to overthrow the political order. The political order will fight back.

What President Trump understands is that once you land on the beach the imperative is to move swiftly inland and capture territory. President Trump, like the General Patton he so often references, knows that the army must move forward with surprising speed and worry about patching problems up as you go along.

Some parts of the beachhead advance. Other parts of the invasion are stalled. The order is to keep moving forward. There’s blood everywhere. The necessity is to break through the roadblocks and move forward. Move forward. There’s blood everywhere, but move forward, even when it is your friend that was mowed down, move forward, move forward: [snip]

Let’s look at the entire battlefield: the GOP establishment continues to fight back with delay tactics while the neo-cons and their bureaucratic allies continue all out war with flame-throwers and exhortations to fight on against President Trump. From the left it is madness and fury against President Trump. All along President Trump continues to move forward, move forward.

From late January until September 2017 the battle was to capture the beachhead and bring order to the chaotic invasion forces and logistics. Establish the beachhead, then more forward, move forward.

The beachhead is now established. The enemy fortifications identified and at the first stages of destruction. The Generals and supplies are all on the beachhead; the invasion moves forward, forward.

The first thirteen days in October: when the political/cultural invasion of the swamp blasts through to destroy the outflanked enemy.

Save America – Destroy Everything Obama Did

We’re not alone in recognizing the monumental events during the first thirteen days in October. The leftists at Yahoo News saw the ‘do the opposite of everything Obooberama did’ after that fateful Friday the 13thstrategy:

After weeks of seeing his agenda imperiled by Republican divisions and infighting among his aides, Trump has been a whirl of activity this week, reasserting his campaign priorities and trying to deliver wins for his fervent but frustrated base of supporters.

Trump took steps to dramatically undercut the Obamacare health system, sent notice he was willing to scuttle the nuclear deal with Iran, moved to roll back coal-plant limits, and again demanded a wall along the Mexican border.

And on social media the Republican president appeared to relish his feuds with the news media, senior Republicans in Congress, and National Football League players who have protested during the national anthem. [snip]

But by the end of the week, he had made more progress in undoing the policy accomplishments of his Democratic predecessor, Barack Obama, than he had in some time.

To Make America Great Again, the Obama agenda had to be destroyed, and that is what President Trump has done the first thirteen days of October:

4 Ways Trump Has Moved to Undo His Predecessors’ Legacies [snip]

What Mr. Trump Has Done: The Trump administration has made a variety of moves, including two major actions on Thursday, that could fundamentally undermine the viability of the federal health care marketplaces, a central part of the law.

The most recent actions — allowing insurance companies to sell less expensive plans with fewer benefits and ending subsidies to insurance companies that help low-income consumers pay out-of-pocket costs — are the latest in a series of initiatives that strike at the heart of the insurance marketplaces set up under the law. Earlier moves included cuts to advertising and services that help consumers sign up for plans on the marketplaces, as well as an effort to weaken enforcement of the individual mandate. [snip]

The Iran Nuclear Deal

The United States and five other world powers reached a deal with Iran in July 2015 to limit that country’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting crippling international sanctions. The Obama administration argued that while the deal did not include all of the provisions it wanted, it was the “best bet” toward curbing Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

What Mr. Trump Has Done: On the campaign trail, Mr. Trump regularly denounced the deal, saying that it did not last long enough and that it did not cover ballistic missile launches or Iranian involvement in regional terrorist activity. After reluctantly recertifying the deal in July, Mr. Trump said Friday that he would not certify Iran’s compliance again.

Even the leftists at The Atlantic understand that President Trump had to do what he did because Barack Obama was either a treacherous America hater, a full tilt boob, or both:

In withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal and the Paris climate-change accord, in announcing that he was “canceling” the U.S. opening to Cuba, Trump seemed similarly determined to dismantle Obama’s achievements in international affairs. [snip]

But to the extent that Obama’s foreign-policy legacy is under threat, it’s not only Trump that’s doing the threatening. Some accomplishments are fraying for reasons that have nothing to do with the 45th president’s apparent contempt for the 44th. Obama’s legacy partially depends on his bets that certain countries—Cuba, Iran, Burma—would, with time, respond positively to diplomacy, which the former president once described to The Atlantic as “the element of American power that the rest of the world appreciates unambiguously.”

Yet in the admittedly short time since Obama left office, those bets haven’t paid off unambiguously. The Obama administration’s efforts to encourage Burma’s transition to democracy and to create favorable conditions for Iranian leaders to moderate, for instance, are now in jeopardy in large measure because of actions taken by those governments. These shortcomings raise questions about whether Obama, who considers himself a realist, was overly optimistic about the possibilities of engagement. [snip]

Meanwhile, Obama prided himself on keeping the United States out of new military quagmires—on endeavoring to leave his successor with a “clean barn”—but his failures to halt North Korea’s nuclear-weapons advances, tame the Taliban and other militant groups in Afghanistan, and stanch the bloodletting in Syria saddled the Trump administration with the prospect of new or renewed military conflicts in those countries. [snip]

Speaking to reporters last week, John Kelly, Trump’s chief of staff, offered a different interpretation of why Trump has pursued the policies he has. “I don’t mean any criticism to Mr. Trump’s predecessors,” Kelly said, before laying the criticism on thick: “But there is an awful lot of things that were, in my view, kicked down the road that have come home to roost, pretty much right now, that have to be dealt with.”

On foreign policy, President Trump has to reverse the Obama policies if we are ever to Make America Great Again.

On domestic policy, President Trump has to reverse the Obama policies if we are ever to Make America Great Again.

On simple things such as the culturally important “Merry Christmas” greeting, President Trump in October has made it clear that he will say “Merry Christmas” and encourage “Merry Christmas” with the same vigor he has “encouraged” the NFL to respect the flag. The politically correct euphemisms such as “seasons greetings” or “happy holidays” should not be forced from those that want to say “Merry Christmas”.

On complicated issues such as ObamaCare, President Trump will attack America’s domestic enemies. So bad was ObamaCare that low and middle-class households paid the penalty rather than saddle themselves with the horror of ObamaCare. Things will get better thanks to President Trump.

On issue after issue President Trump is fighting to Make America Great Again. Russia? It turns out that the big scandal on Russia is not Trump related, but rather Hillary Clinton related, Barack Obama related, Eric Holder related, Justice Department related, FBI related.

There’s a lot for President Donald J. Trump to do. We’ll write about the death dealing political earthquakes to come real soon. For now, we can rejoice on all that President Donald J. Trump has accomplished, especially during the first thirteen days in October.

Las Vegas Paddock: Obama Dimocrats, Dreamers, Ready To Lose

The do-nothing Republican Congress does not have to do a thing to win in 2018 and 2020. That’s because Obama Dimocrats will make GOP big wins in 2018 and the reelection of President Donald J. Trump the only choice for normals.

We don’t think the do-nothing GOP congress will pass tax cuts, let alone tax reform. ObamaCare repeal? We doubt it. Immigration anything? Um, no. We don’t think they will have to do a single damn thing. Yet, the GOP will win big in 2018 and even bigger in 2020.

We are as convinced now in October as we were early this year and throughout the rest of the year when we forecast big GOP wins in 2018 and 2020. Our forecasts and reasons are indisputable.

Obama Dimocrat sponsored polls blare out the warning, “Turning out the base, the data suggests, is simply not good enough.” President Trump will run on “Keep America Great” in 2020. As we wrote “it will be the Kooks versus the “normals”.”

Obama Dimocrats are focused on Russia excuses for why they lost. This as “The Great Trump is on track to great electoral victories in 2018 and a 2020 reelection.” Why does President Trump win? Because of the great respect from Jerusalem and Arab capitals. The schlonging of wasteful NATO. All of this leads to what Roll Call magazine headlines, “Latest Roll Call Ratings Show Tough Road to Majority For Democrats“.

Again, why? Because the “normals”, “They see a Democratic Party lurching further to the left and practicing pure obstructionism to appease its inflamed base.”

And of course, Celinda Lakes’ shocker polls/focus groups, New study projects stunning drop in 2018 millennial voter turnout in battleground states. It’s over for Trump, he wins bigly.

After the Las Vegas shooting it becomes even more obvious that the Obama Dimocrats don’t have a clue how to talk to normals.

* * * * * *

Hillary Clinton again made more ridiculous charges designed to rile the kook left to support her. That will never happen. No matter how Hillary displays her deranged and unhinged mind to the kooks, the leftist kooks will always hate her.

Hillary Clinton last week made a suggestion on Puerto Rico relief (Hillary demanded President Trump order the hospital ship USS Comfort to Puerto Rico even though President Trump had long before ordered the USS Comfort to Puerto Rico). She’s unhinged and unaware of her surroundings and current news.

So deranged is Hillary Clinton that even the Bezos Washington Post which loves “gun control” mocked her assertions after the Las Vegas shooting by what appears to be a loon son of an F.B.I. ten most wanted pop.

Hillary Clinton is not alone in her deranged Las Vegas mutterings. Loons such as Senator Chris Murphy, Mike Bloomberg, Senator Blumenthal, Senator Pocahontas Warren, and Congressman Himes, all jumped inside the kook-kook clock to chime about gun control. Gun control works only on law abiding citizens, but don’t tell these self-interested anti-Trump kooks that.

These kooks, Hillary Clinton included, don’t know how to talk to or about normals. Today, even the New York Times‘ David Leonhardt admits this immutable truth about Obama Dimocrats and the latest anti-America crusade by the left on the football field:

The choice between kneeling and winning [snip]

And as someone who cheers when Stephen Curry or Von Miller speaks out and makes the president look small, I’ve reluctantly become convinced that many athletes are making a tactical mistake.

Yes, the athletes and their allies can make nuanced, genuine arguments about why kneeling during the national anthem is not meant as a rebuke to the entire country. Liberals have rallied to their side, almost uniformly. I have the same instinct.

Winning over blue America, however, is a pretty modest goal. The kneeling argument needlessly alienates persuadable people, and it’s one the athletes don’t need.

It’s not just “athletes” making a tactical, rather, strategic mistake. It’s Obama Dimocrats. All these doofs manage to do is expand their cheering squads and votes in the encircled blue states; and give ammunition to the hordes of pro-Trump revolutionaries ready to take down the Hunger Games Capitol and capital cities filled with Obama Dimocrats. Meanwhile the normals continue to march on in support of President Trump:

CNN host John King said Sunday that NFL owners have data supporting President Donald Trump’s claim that television ratings have gone down because of players’ protests during the national anthem.

“NFL owners so far siding with their players for their right to free speech, but they’re also keeping close tabs on the financial impact and the public relations impact of this confrontation,” King said.

He went on to say that the NFL owners have research “clearly showing the president is right” when he claims the national anthem protests are one factor in TV ratings dropping.

“Since the president weighed in, the owners are now dealing with a surge in ticket holder requests for refunds,” King said.

For once CNN is not stating Fake News. And, to quote the Mets fans’ “Wait until next year.” Next year, around Labor Day, when the political campaigns go into full swing will also be the time the football season starts. Get ready for President Trump to beat the NFL into the ground in the next season of 2018. We can’t wait. President Trump will score a 2018 election touchdown in part because of the kneeling fumbles of the NFL.

David Leonhardt is not alone at the New York Times with his warnings of Obama Dimocrat Gotterdammerung. Repulsive Anti-Trump (and anti-Hillary) Frank Bruni tells the Obama Dimocrats to get ready, get ready, get ready… to lose:

Democrats, Please Get Ready to Lose

There’s a saying that what matters isn’t winning or losing. It’s whether you beat the spread.

But what’s the spread for Democrats in 2018?

Is the spread — which means the predicted margin of victory or defeat — gaining the 24 seats in the House that are necessary for a majority in the chamber? That’s certainly doable. I could argue that it’s probable.

But I could also make the case that Democrats fall five, 10 or 15 seats short. And I could imagine a demoralization that shadows and thereby dooms the party in 2020, when the stakes are even higher.

Is the spread control of the Senate? With just three turned seats, the Democrats have it. What promising math. But what a punishing map: There are more vulnerable Democrats up for re-election than there are vulnerable Republicans. Despite Donald Trump’s wackiness and the G.O.P.’s woes, Democrats could easily lose ground here.

Frank Bruni hates President Donald J. Trump. But the obvious even dawns upon the dead. Frank Bruni finally sees what we saw many months ago. President Trump triumphant! Obama Dimocrats humiliated again and eating their own bowels:

So the task ahead is twofold and tricky. They must move heaven and earth to wrest Congress from Republicans, who’ve demonstrated little backbone for standing up to an erratic, egomaniacal president in desperate need of containment.

But they must also, somehow, keep their expectations in check, because the long game is the White House, and it won’t be served by the acrimony and sense of futility that disappointment in 2018 could bring.

Howard Wolfson, who was one of the chief strategists for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, summed up the situation well.

He said that the House majority must be Democrats’ nonnegotiable goal, because it matters so much and is indisputably attainable. But if they don’t succeed, he added, “There will be a circular firing squad.” And it will be an especially furious one.

Progressives will point to moderates who lost their contests as definitive proof that the party should move left. Moderates will point to progressives who didn’t prevail and insist the opposite. And the infighting could be another lucky break for Trump, whose life story is already a fable of outrageous fortune.

Bill Clinton used to say that if you’re walking down the road and you see a turtle on a post — you can be sure the turtle did not get there by accident. The Frank Bruni totalitarian left wants to believe that 2020 will be “another lucky break for Trump” and continue a “life story” which “is already a fable of outrageous fortune.” President Trump was lucky to be born to his parents. But it is not “luck” to find him on top of the post, giggling. It was hard work and smarts that got Donald J. Trump into the White House.

Deep down, the totalitarian left and Frank Bruni understand that President Trump earned his 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue address. In 2016 they were with “her”. The American people are with “him” and Obama Dimocrats know the “him” is Trump. For all the happy talk about wins, Obama Dimocrats are losers and the know it:

“You have to shoot for the stars,” the Democratic operative Hilary Rosen told me. “You might just reach the moon.”

But even as Rosen said that, she hedged any prophecy of a rout, in a manner that spoke to the difficulty of properly calibrating optimism in 2018. She worried about Democrats’ policy agenda. She worried about the party’s tone. “I still think we lack a sunny, aspirational outlook,” she said. “We’re going down in the mud with Donald Trump.”

She added that the party wasn’t focused on change in the right, compelling fashion. “The change that Donald Trump was selling was blowing up the system,” she observed. “What’s our change? Is our change to patch up the system? Not very sexy.” [snip]

Two new directions that many progressives in the party have indeed latched onto — tuition-free college and single-payer health care — make some G.O.P. leaders’ hearts go pitter-patter, because they’re convinced that a majority of Americans, including many independents, aren’t ready for either, not when the cost is bluntly explained.

I think Democrats are making a huge, huge, huge mistake,” said one prominent Republican strategist who is carefully studying House races and may help steer a few of them. He expressed guarded confidence that the G.O.P. would hold onto its majority in the chamber, because, he said, the Democratic Party “is now being controlled by 20 people who are running for president, and that’s causing them to move too far left.”

He also marveled that Democrats had done nothing to take away one of Republicans’ most trusted targets: Nancy Pelosi. As long as she remains the Democratic leader in the House and Republicans can describe their opponents as servants of a San Francisco liberal in office for so many decades, they’re in good stead, he said.

For all his false bravado and excuses for why the GOP wins (gerrymandering) in 2018 which will lead to demoralized Obama Dimocrats losing again in 2020 (Bruni’s version of our Hiroshima and Nagasaki article) you can still smell the fear stinking from Bruni’s pores as he cannot comprehend why President Trump’s fights with the GOP establishment help President Trump and his army of normals:

I’m told that in some focus groups, when Republican voters are asked to name the leader of their party, most don’t mention Trump. He’s an unclassifiable entity in an orbit all his own. So while it’s possible that any disgust with the president will be taken out on the Republican lawmakers who curtsied to and coddled him, it’s not out of the question that those lawmakers would be regarded, and judged, separately.

Name another president in recent decades who publicly taunted and savaged peers in his putative party the way that Trump does. Name another president who was such an eager, audacious agent of disorder. There’s no tidy precedent for Trump, no historical model that snugly accommodates him. He proved that in 2016, and could prove it anew in 2018.

Those who look to the past to predict the current political moment do so at their folly,” said Representative Joe Kennedy III, one of the regional vice chairmen of the D.C.C.C. So while he told me that he’s enormously heartened by the quality of Democratic candidates being groomed for House races, he’s not placing wagers.

That’s wise, considering: Democrats must recover from a breathtaking decline, during the Obama years, of the party’s representation at every level of government below the presidency. The party holds only 15 of 50 governor’s offices. While Republicans control both the governorship and the legislature in 26 states, Democrats have that monopoly in just six.

“We didn’t get here overnight,” Rosen said, reverting to management-of-expectations mode. “I think it’s unrealistic to think we’re going to turn it around in a single election.”

Frank Bruni and his Obama Dimocrat ilk of numbskulls do not understand that President Trump’s fight with the GOP establishment is a feature, not a bug.

In 2018, the GOP winners of the primaries will be Trump supporters. Already Corker is gone and will be replaced by a Trump supporter. Jeff Flake will soon be gone either because he decides not to run or because he will be destroyed by Trump supporters in the Arizona primary. Trump hater John Kasich will be term limited out of the Ohio capital. Obama Dimocrat McCaskill in Missouri, Donnelly in Indiana, Sherrod Brown in Ohio – all will be replaced by Trump supporters in the U.S. Senate. Those who stand with Trump will win in 2018. Those who kneel against the Flag will lose in 2018. In 2020 Trump triumphant.

In Iowa, Obama Dimocrats can’t win even as they try deceive the voters now devoted to Make America Great Again President Trump:

Democrats in Iowa looking for ways to win back Trump voters

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa Democrats are looking for the prescription that will help them emerge from their withered condition, after dominating just a decade ago.

After sending progressive Tom Harkin to the Senate for 30 years and twice delivering the state for Barack Obama, Democrats are powerless in the House, Senate and statehouse, and remain stunned by President Donald Trump’s solid Iowa victory last year.

While it’s a familiar scenario across the upper Midwest, the pressure on Iowa Democrats to recoup the working-class voters who marched with Trump is more intense: They’re charged with setting the tone in a little more than two years for the party’s presidential nomination. [snip]

I think it starts with letting these working-class people know that we see them, we hear them and we know what they are going through, and we have a plan,” Ryan, from blue-collar Warren, Ohio, told The Associated Press on Saturday. [snip]

“We’ve lost touch with certain voters,” state party chairman Troy Price said. “We talk about issues, but not the values behind the issues. We haven’t done the best job communicating with the people we fight so hard for. It’s why we are where we are.” [snip]

“It’s difficult to go into the rural areas of Iowa and find anyone who will admit to being a Democrat.”

Tim Ryan says he wants to let “these working-class people know that we see them, we hear them”. But that is a lie. Obama Dimocrats are neither seeing nor listening to the working class in Iowa or anywhere.

Who are Obama Dimocrats listening to? Dreamers. Illegal aliens. Ungrateful illegal aliens who protest and wave alien flags in America while mocking the American flag. Obama Dimocrats won’t see or hear Americans because they are too busy obeying illegal immigrants who mock them anyway:

On ‘Dreamers’ Deal, Democrats Face a Surprising Foe: The Dreamers

WASHINGTON — As Democrats warily prepare to negotiate an immigration deal with President Trump, they face an unexpected political foe: many of the 800,000 young, undocumented immigrants threatened with deportation whom they are championing.

These ungrateful, un-American illegal aliens threaten American elected officials and Obama Dimocrats cower to the illegals. Ungrateful sons-of-bitches:

The pressure from some immigrant activists to reject any compromise that would tighten border security has frustrated Democratic leaders, who recognize the political risks of being labeled the party of open borders — a potentially lethal tag as they seek to regain support from working-class voters across the Midwest.

Fearful of concessions to Mr. Trump that could increase immigration enforcement aimed at their families and friends, the activists are targeting Democratic congressional leaders with loud political protests. And Democratic politicians may be vulnerable. They have already shifted to the left on a number of issues, such as health care, as they try to take advantage of liberal fervor stoked by the Trump era.

But moving too far to the left on border security could hold serious risks for a party that lost the presidency with defeats in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa — all states where immigration remains a hot-button issue.

John Feehery, a Republican strategist, said a Democratic pushback on border security would reinforce “the perception that the Democratic Party has largely abandoned and forgotten about the white working class.”

The illegal immigrant Dreamers argued that since they came illegally to this country they were little bitty babies and now that they are in their twenties and thirties they demand, not ask, demand to stay. But they undermine their once-upon-a-time argument. Now they want the parents who violated the law and are illegal aliens themselves to be citizens. They are not “dreamers”. They are liars.

The Obama Dimocrats are now in a trap of their own making. Obama Dimocrats cared about illegal immigrants more than American citizens. Like treacherous snakes (remember Trump’s poetry readings of The Snake?) these illegal aliens now bite the Obama Dimocrats:

They have already signaled that they are willing to consider Republican demands for increased enforcement along the border with Mexico in exchange for a legislative fix to the threatened Obama-era program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, which protects young immigrants brought to the country as children.

It is naïve for us to believe that we will get 12 Republicans to vote for DACA or the Dream Act without putting something on the table,” said Senator Richard J. Durbin of Illinois, an original co-author of the Dream Act, which would offer a path to citizenship for certain undocumented immigrants brought to the country as children. “There’s always going to be a group that wants more. There are some people who want all or nothing. I consider this to be a world of reality that I live in.”

Democrats need to be mindful not just of white working-class voters but all voters, said Cornell Belcher, who worked as one of President Barack Obama’s pollsters during his 2008 presidential campaign. Democrats have to “thread a fine needle,” he said, because polls show that voters broadly “feel as though their borders need to be more secure.”

But activists worry that any compromise could carry a very personal price: Their own long-term safety might be secured only in exchange for an increased threat of deportation for their undocumented parents and friends who do not qualify for such protections under the program.

That is a deal that many of them are not willing to take.

“We are going to do whatever it takes to push both parties to pursue what we are demanding,” said Cristina Jiménez, executive director of United We Dream. “We don’t want a situation where my brother, who has DACA, will have relief from deportation, and we will have more enforcement and more ICE agents who end up going after my mom and my dad.” [snip]

Conservatives want those principles to include a call to limit the number of new legal immigrants and emphasize the entry of high-skilled workers instead of the family members of immigrants already in the country. They want to expand the “E-Verify” system to ensure that businesses do not hire workers who are in the country illegally. They are insisting on stepped-up immigration enforcement throughout the country’s interior. And they want Mr. Trump to get his wall along the southern border. [snip]

Immigration activists reject such demands as meanspirited and much too far-reaching. [snip]

Publicly, those young immigrants and their allies say they will not accept what they consider draconian measures in exchange for a deal on DACA, or on the Dream Act, the bill dating back to 2001 that would provide a pathway to citizenship for young immigrants brought in illegally as children.

Obama Dimocrats are surrounded by snakes draining them of their very blood. The white working class that has turned against their football millionaires is watching. The Trump supporters in Iowa are watching. The snakes are biting the swine:

Democrats also must weigh the political risk of being seen as weak on security issues as they try to recover from their 2016 losses.

During the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual conference last month, Kathleen Wells, a black radio host, challenged several members of Congress to explain why black Americans should embrace allowing more immigrants to remain in the United States who might compete with them for jobs.

The swine in the swamp are ready to lose. President Donald J. Trump will help them lose even more than they can imagine.

Las Vegas is a horrific bloody scene of carnage this October eve. The political carnage next November will be even bloodier.

Strange Brew Elections: Trump Alabama Election Whisky Rally, AFD Germany Election, John McCain’s ObamaCare Lies

Update: Very Strange days indeed. With his powerful speech in support of Luther Strange President Trump might succeed and Strange might win the race that was unwinnable according to all the polls.

We’ve watch the speech repeatedly. It is a powerful speech. It’s powerful because it is brutally honest. President Trump laid out his reasons for supporting Strange pretty much as we noted in our article (below). President Trump also vouched for Strange even as President Trump said Strange might lose in which case PDT would campaign for Moore. President Trump added that Strange would win the general election with ease whereas Moore would have a tough race.

Some other reasons to vote for Luther Strange have now appeared. For one, Moore has come out against the ObamaCare repeal as embodied in Graham/Cassidy. If Luther Strange or Vice President Pence, who will campaign for Luther Strange before Tuesday’s election, focus on this point, Strange will get a powerful boost.

In addition, news has emerged about Senator Corker’s role in persuading President Trump to back Luther Strange. That news has been utilized by Moore supporters to lambaste Strange as an establishment lackey. But we noticed, in an entirely unrelated matter we are told, that the anti-Trump Senator Corker arrived at support for the tax reform bill to be released this week in the Senate almost immediately after President Trump agreed to campaign for Senator Strange. Was there a deal? Strange days.

We are torn on this issue. We want to support President Trump and understand if President Trump emerges as the decisive factor in the Alabama primary race then President Trump will gain strength against his GOP establishment foes. On the other hand we would like to see many primary challenges against anti-Trump freaks like Jeff Flake and a Moore victory would kindle insurrectionary fires in every primary campaign. But if President Trump is seen as the decisive factor in any senate primary race then the GOP establishment might be sufficiently cowed. We’re conflicted. But we see President Trump as the man that might salvage Strange and at the same time beat the establishment with an establishment supported candidate. Strange Strange days.

Meanwhile as the NFL attacks President Trump we side with President Trump and support his call for a boycott of football. Then again, we don’t care for football or sports so our opinion on this does not count for much.

As to the German elections, our analysis (below) seems to be holding up. Results: Merkel is winning but weakened. The Alternative for Germany is losing but gaining and will rise to third among dozens of political parties vying in the German elections.

Hey, elections matter.

———————————————————-

Strange days. Two elections and the implications for many others are part of the very Strange Brew as we bid farewell to Summer and wrap ourselves in Autumn colors.

Friday night, a President Trump rally is scheduled for Alabama. On Sunday a German election looms with grave consequences for the continent. Both elections in Germany and Alabama will say much about the current world situation and the future. It’s a Strange Brew.

In Germany the people are in dire straits. Angela Merkel, the alleged candidate of the right, who is really a true daughter of the old East German Soviet has betrayed the German people with her immigration policies. Throw her out!

Throw her out would be the thing to do. However the totally crackpot leftists nominated someone who is even more openly in favor of the destruction of Germany/Europe/The Free World than Merkel. Both Merkel and her Sergeant Schultz opposition are terrible. The German people therefore have no alternative. Well, there is Alternative for Germany:

Anti-Immigrant AfD Party Draws In More Germans as Vote Nears
Party’s upswing suggests undercurrent of popular distrust threatening to unsettle country’s politics

WISMAR, Germany—Candidate Georg Pazderski of the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany spent nearly half his speech in this harbor town earlier this week highlighting the danger of Islamist terrorism. Chancellor Angela Merkel dispatched the topic in roughly 80 seconds in an address here the next day.

As this country’s election campaign reaches its crescendo ahead of Sunday’s vote, its participants appear to be fighting different battles. Ms. Merkel, looking assured of victory, is engaging her opponents in mainstream parties on pensions, infrastructure, education, and economic policy. The Alternative for Germany is creeping up in the polls while positioning itself as the only party sounding the alarm about what it says is the existential threat posed by Muslim immigration.

The AfD, as the party is known, is now polling above 10%, less than its peak early this year and well below what other far-right parties elsewhere in Europe have garnered in recent elections. But for Germany, if the polls hold, its impending entry into parliament would mark a turning point in a country where right-wing populism has long been banished from mainstream discussion. And it would show that despite Germany’s thriving economy, an undercurrent of popular distrust and discontent threatens to unsettle a largely stable political system.

The unease is especially apparent here in the former East Germany, where unemployment is higher and the mainstream political parties less deeply anchored than in the more prosperous former West. But AfD is drawing rising support from across the country, polls show.

Interviews with AfD supporters conducted in recent weeks, from the German southwest to here on the Baltic seacoast, yielded one common complaint: Mainstream politicians, the voters said, don’t take their concerns about immigration seriously enough.

Sounds like another country we all know and love.

Sunday’s German elections will be watched to see how many seats Alternative For Germany garners. It won’t take many seats to send a powerful message, it’s a parliamentary system after all and Merkel won’t even get 40% of the vote. Merkel’s forecast win will be closer to the mid thirties, if that high. There are other dangers for Merkel:

Opinion polls have confirmed the far-right populist AfD’s challenge to the Left party for third place in Germany’s federal elections. Chancellor Merkel has called on people to vote as concerns about abstention grow. [snip]

In polls published on Friday, the AfD was seen to strengthen its third place setting by two percentage points to a projected 13 percent of the vote in an Insa survey commissioned by Bild newspaper, which put it near its highest ranking so far this year. The CDU kept its top spot with 34 percent support, down 2 points and the SPD was down one point to 21 percent. The Left party was showing 11 percent support. [snip]

While voters have a choice of 42 parties and 4,828 candidates, the focus has sharpened on the top three, and the likely coalition which will come from the votes. While the CDU has been holding its position as the SPD weakens, if the opinion polls prove correct then both parties would see their overall share of the vote fall to a level they have not seen since 2009. [snip]

In the last federal elections in 2013, some 29 percent of registered voters did not cast a ballot. This week, polls showed those planning either not to vote or unsure of who to vote for at 34 percent.

Fears of a low turnout, which many experts have said would benefit the AfD as its base is motivated to head to the polls, have encouraged mainstream parties to call for voters to turn out on Sunday.

Already the current German führer has problems as Poland, despite threats, continues to defy the immigration policies of Merkel. A large vote for Alternative for Germany will strengthen Poland and others who fight for Europe to survive.

The German elections this weekend are important. But the big election is the Strange election this coming Tuesday. This is a Whiskey Bar election. It reminds us of the Dreigroschenoper Bertolt Brecht song about Alabama, don’t ask why.

How strange is this Alabama election? The incumbent senator is Mitch McConnell’s pal Luther Strange whom Trump has endorsed. The primary campaign challenger is the anti-establishment Judge Roy Moore. Can anything get Moore Strange than this election?

President Trump has endorsed Luther Strange because Strange voted the way President Trump wanted without any favors or pleas needed. But Strange is the GOP establishment’s guy!

On the other side of Strange, there are many Trump supporters who endorsed the challenger because they want Moore change. Trump’s Secretary of Housing, Ben Carson has called for Moore change.

Sarah Palin has campaigned for Moore change! Sean Hannity and Mike Huckabee want Moore change! Yikes! What is going on???

President Trump remembers how in 2010 and 2012 the GOP chose very right wing candidates then lost the general election and President Trump wants to avoid that fate. However this is very red state Alabama and we doubt that Moore can lose the general election. If Judge Roy Moore wins this primary election on Tuesday, then he will likely win the general election too.

As to Sarah Palin, Hannity, Huckabee, and Steve Bannon, they smell the future blood to be shed:

“What’s happening in Alabama is being watched in the halls of Congress and the Senate,” Moore said at a rally over the weekend. “They know what is happening in Alabama. Mitch McConnell knows what is happening in Alabama. They know it is going to affect the future of elections of other senators in 2018 in other states.”

If Judge Roy Moore wins on Tuesday the entire GOP establishment is under threat. That’s why the President Trump endorsement of Strange is so very Strange.

After today the President Trump endorsement is especially Strange. But maybe not so strange in light of how Trump deals. After all, Moore is likely to win on Tuesday. If a Trump rally moves the election to Luther Strange the GOP establishment will clearly see the absolute value of an endorsement by President Trump. Trump gains.

If Strange loses and Moore change carries the day, President Trump can still declare that he did what he thought was right. President Trump can also say in full honesty that the proponents of Moore change all declared their allegiance to President Trump at every rally for Moore.

What would we like to see happen? What would be the best outcome of all this?

We would like to see Moore win on Tuesday. We would then like President Trump to address the ObamaCare vote in the Senate and the latest lies by John McCain immediately before or immediately after this coming week’s ObamaCare vote.

John McCain ran for the senate with lies to the people who voted. McCain lied when he said he would oppose ObamaCare and deserved votes. McCain lied repeatedly.

So what should happen? Moore should win on Tuesday. If Moore wins on Tuesday that should be a strong warning of what awaits the liars of the GOP establishment. Win or lose however, the ObamaCare vote should be taken in the Senate to force the liars out into the open. Immediately before or after the ObamaCare vote, President Trump should announce the congressional ObamaCare exemption is no longer as, a way to punish liars like McCain.

It’s time to treat liars like McCain like North Korea.

Strange days call for strong measures.

Mystery Answer Revealed: The Great @RealDonaldTrump Real Estate Scandal

The answer to THE great mystery, which almost every sentient being knew the answer to, is fully revealed. For weeks, after the Summer of Trump III, the great mystery has been why the Obama Dimocrats have changed their approach to President Donald J. Trump.

Obama Dimocrat Senator Feinstein said some nice things about President Trump and was immediately attacked by the Kook left. Nancy Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck Schumer too signaled they were not about to continue their ceaseless and wild attacks against President Donald J. Trump. These goofballs even signed on to agreements which benefit President Trump even as Big Media attempted to explain it all as a victory for Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck. “What the Hell happened?” asked the dummies such as those at Axios, who cannot not see the obvious so they come up with crackpot theories instead of looking at what is staring at them in their faces.

Let’s recap: Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck along with the entire asylum full of American Horror Story Cult Obama Dimocrats were fully engaged in #TheResistance. The plan was to not let President Trump be “normalized” as a legitimate President. The entire Obama Dimocrat strategy was to portray President Trump as Herr Hitler. Resistance! Unfurl the Resistance!!! flags. Let Antifa roam the streets as the black-shirt army of the leftist Resistance! to Herr Hitler!!!!!!!!!!

But how can President Trump be Herr Hitler if #TheResistance Obama Dimocrats are cutting deals? “How can this be?”, asked those who already knew the answer. For the dummies, the American Horror Story Cult of leftist Kooks, the Obama Dimocrat establishment of totalitarians, the answer is finally revealed. The answer is what we here suspected all along. Polls. Focus groups.

The anti-Trump American Horror Story Cult at Politico explains:

Teflon Don confounds Democrats

Democrats have attacked the president every which way, but polling and focus groups show none of it’s working.

Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia.

None of it is working.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! NONE OF IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONE OF IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!! How do we know???? Politico reveals the polls and focus groups conducted by Obama Dimocrats that demonstrate, NONE OF IT IS WORKING:

Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe Trump’s historically low approval numbers mean a landslide is coming. The party is defending 10 Senate seats in states that Trump won and needs to flip 24 House seats to take control of that chamber.

The research, conducted by private firms and for Democratic campaign arms, is rarely made public but was described to POLITICO in interviews with a dozen top operatives who’ve been analyzing the results coming in.

“If that’s the attitude that’s driving the Democratic Party, we’re going to drive right into the ocean,” said Anson Kaye, a strategist at media firm GMMB who worked on the Obama and Clinton campaigns and is in conversations with potential clients for next year.

These are not Republican polls. These are not Big Media polls. These are Obama Dimocrat polls. These Obama Dimocrat polls confirm everything we have written about in our May 5, 2017 predictions of a President Donald J. Trump successful reelection and success in 2018 for the GOP as many of the anti-Trump Republicans are primaried successfully and Pro-Trump Republicans take their place in the next congress. The New Trump Republican Party wins bigly and the Barack Obama American Horror Story Cult Dimocrats are butchered:

Worse news, they worry: Many of the ideas party leaders have latched onto in an attempt to appeal to their lost voters — free college tuition, raising the minimum wage to $15, even Medicare for all — test poorly among voters outside the base. The people in these polls and focus groups tend to see those proposals as empty promises, at best.

Antifa blackshirt thugs, Bernie Sanders’ Bros and Hos, Hillary Clinton, Big Media, will respond that President Donald J. Trump is a chaotic mess and that is a big turnoff. In a political version of the Family Feud game show however, the vox populi has a different and very Trumpian answer:

Pollsters are shocked by how many voters describe themselves as “exhausted” by the constant chaos surrounding Trump, and they find that there’s strong support for a Congress that provides a check on him rather than voting for his agenda most of the time. But he is still viewed as an outsider shaking up the system, which people in the various surveys say they like, and which Democrats don’t stack up well against.

“People do think he’s bringing about change, so it’s hard to say he hasn’t kept his promises,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.

Yes, that is the same Celinda Lake quoted that we featured in our July 25 analysis (…40 million Americans who voted last year will likely not show up at the polls for the 2018 midterms — and that two-thirds of those “drop-off” voters will be millennials, unmarried women and people of color.) Lake’s predictions for 2018 are dire for Obama Dimocrats, as we discussed. In that same analysis we quoted Obama Dimocrat Willie Brown who said pretty much the same as the focus groups confirm:

In focus groups, most participants say they’re still impressed with Trump’s business background and tend to give him credit for the improving economy. The window is closing, but they’re still inclined to give him a chance to succeed.

More than that, no single Democratic attack on the president is sticking — not on his temperament, his lack of accomplishments or the deals he’s touted that have turned out to be less than advertised, like the president’s claim that he would keep Carrier from shutting down its Indianapolis plant and moving production to Mexico.

Voters are also generally unimpressed by claims that Trump exaggerates or lies, and they don’t see the ongoing Russia investigation adding up to much.

The Russia election theft fable won’t work???? But, but, but what about Herr Hitler #Resistance and Charlottesville and NAZIS!!!!! and alt-right!!!!!!!! and oh my god what about Hitler…. Hitler people, Hitler!!!! What about Hitler????? Um, the Family Feud answer is…:

The president’s equivocation on neo-Nazis was not as much of a political problem as his opponents want to believe, Democratic operatives say, and shifting the debate to whether or not to remove Confederate monuments largely worked for him.

“He is the president. The assessment that voters will make is, is he a good one or not? While Democrats like me have come to conclusions on that question, most of the voters who will decide future elections have not,” Canter said.

But what about #TheResistance!!!! What about POLICY!!!!!! POLICY, people, policy!!!!! Surely Obama Dimocrat American Horror Story Cult policy will save the day against Trump, right? RIGHT???? Policy will work against President Trump, right??? Um, WRONG:

Many of the proposals Democrats are pushing fall flat in focus groups and polling.

The call for free college tuition fosters both resentment at ivory tower elitism and regret from people who have degrees but are now buried under debt. Many voters see “free” as a lie — either they’ll end up paying for tuition some other way, or worse, they’ll be paying the tuition of someone else who’ll be getting a degree for free.

Those tuitions paid for by hard working Americans won’t be for their children or themselves. You can already see the DACA line forming and illegal immigrants getting special benefits in states across the nation. Think only Hitler and alt-right Republicans think that? Think again and watch Obama Dimocrats try to once again dupe the American people with dropped talk and Obama lies:

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Gerstein Bocian Agne Strategies conducted online polling of 1,000 Democrats and 1,000 swing voters across 52 swing districts for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Their advice to candidates afterward: Drop the talk of free college. Instead, the firms urged Democrats to emphasize making college more affordable and reducing debt, as well as job skills training, according to an internal DCCC memo.

Where are the Big Media headlines about the Obama Dimocrat Congressional Campaign Committee lies about free college tuition? Big Media continues to protect their brethren Obama Horror Story Cult.

But what about “free health care” and Bernie’s Medicare for all lies? Policy people, policy. Surely free health care is a winner against Herr Hitler, right??? Right??? Wrong:

Medicare-for-all tests better, but it, too, generates suspicion. The challenge is that most voters in focus groups believe it’s a pipe dream — they ask who will pay for it and suspect it will lead to a government takeover of health care — and therefore wonder whether the politicians talking to them about it are being less than forthright, too.

Wait until the failed single payer systems of California, Vermont, and Colorado get a full airing during election season. That’s why Obama Horror Story Cult Dimocrats are in for a bloody end of gruesome death.

But what about the minimum wage? The minimum wage, people!!!! Surely the minimum wage will lead Obama Dimocrats to victory against President Trump, right? Right??? Wrong:

Raising the minimum wage to $15 is as unpopular as it was when the Obama White House tried to make it Democrats’ rallying cry in the 2014 midterms. Participants in battleground-state focus groups said they see that rate as relatively high and the issue in general as being mostly about redistributing money to the poor.

The DCCC memo urges candidates instead to talk about a “living wage,” or to rail against outsourcing jobs.

“What you’re seeing is this thing that Democrats cannot seem to figure out — this notion that somehow if we just put the words together correctly that’ll be the winning message and we’ll win,” Kaye said. “That is the opposite of how the electorate is behaving.”

Raise the minimum wage and everyone else has to get a raise and then prices rise, so after all the economic dislocation, the status quo returns. If the government “gave” every American one million dollars a lollypop would rise in price to $50.00.

But, but, but, immigration and trade, people!!!! Immigration and trade!!!!! Immigration and trade will save Obama Cult Horror Dimocrats, right? Right????? Um, WRONG:

On immigration and trade, voters remain largely aligned with Trump. Data show that voters believe that the economy is moving in the right direction and resent Democrats attacking its progress.

Obama Dimocrat strategists are very worried. They see what we see in the polling data and in the zeitgeist.

Obama Dimocrats will resort to lies as usual. These dopes will try the same playbook of loser plays against President Trump that worked so well against the hapless Mittens Romney:

More and more, Democratic operatives are gravitating toward pushing for an argument that Trump is just out to make his rich friends richer, at the expense of everyone else. They believe they could include all sorts of attacks on his decisions under that umbrella, from stripping regulations on credit cards to trying to end Obamacare to pushing for corporate tax breaks.

Will that tactic work? No. President Trump is not Kittens Romney. President Trump has already made it clear that in any tax reform or tax cut his goal is to help the middle class even if that means the rich get schlonged.

The news for Obama Dimocrat Cultists in 2018, as we have written, is a flow of butchered blood. But it will get better in 2020, right??? Right? Wrong!!!!. Check out the latest smart rib-tickler from M. Joseph Sheppard of which we only provide the tasty gist:

The Virginia Governor’s Race May Decide The 2020 Presidential Election [snip]

The Bill To End Virginia’s ‘Winner Take All’ System

The answer is in a bill that was put forward in the Virginia House of Representatives, one that would end Virginia’s ‘winner take all’ electoral vote system: [snip]

Republicans have a near two-to-one advantage in the House of Delegates, 66-34, and a majority in the Virginia Senate 21-19. Current Governor McAuliffe is term limited, and if the GOP’s Gillespie is elected in 2017, the stage would be set for Cole to reintroduce the bill, which would then be free from the danger of a veto.

Donald Trump won the Electoral College handily 306 to 232, but that is of course no indicator of how close the race might be in 2020. If it were a Reagan-type blowout, then how Virginia’s electoral votes were allocated would be of passing interest. On the other hand, if the race were more akin to the Gore/Bush 2000 campaign, any change to Virginia’s apportionment would become vital, if not the deciding factor.

That’s a longer way of saying that in 2020 the state of Virginia will once again be in play but that whatever happens it is likely that President Trump will do well in Virginia, a state he lost in 2016. If the winner takes some system is approved, President Trump will get a bunch of electoral votes no matter who “wins” Virginia in 2020. That’s bad news for Obama Dimocrats. It’s another boulder thrown into the scales of the 2020 election which we predicted President Trump will win. Bigly.

So what is this “real estate scandal” we referenced in our title?

Picture a billionaire at the bulk discounter Costco, not buying anything, rather shoplifting, stealing, all he surveys. Picture this same billionaire at Van Cleef and Arpels, the jeweler on Fifth Avenue. He is not buying anything there either, rather shoplifting, stealing all he surveys. It is President Donald J. Trump and one of, if not the greatest political real estate thefts of all time.

We’ve explored this grand theft politics before. But the theft is now so wildly promiscuous and threatens to grow so massively that only an Obama Dimocrat RICO action could stop it. But it won’t. It won’t stop.

@RealDonaldTrump Walks Away With The Clinton Coalition

The bedrock of a winning coalition, the people Barack Obama dismissed in 2008 as “bitter” and clinging to their guns and Bibles, used to be the FDR coalition and the Clinton coalition. No longer. They are now part of the Trump Triumph. Hillary2016 has abandoned them so they have abandoned her. [snip]

Donald J. Trump is not a conservative the GOP establishment likes nor a liberal the Democratic Party likes. Donald Trump will destroy the Republican Party as we now know it because Barack Obama destroyed the Democratic Party as we once knew it. The GOP has long contained a struggle between it’s populist voters and the big money Chamber of Commerce types that want a low wage society. Donald Trump is against a low wage society and therefore against illegal immigration. The white working class understands this. Enough of the black working class and the Latino working class understands this too.

The white working class chased out of the Democratic Party by Obama’s Kook coalition had no where to go but to the Republican Party. Now the former Democrats join in solidarity with the long time populist Republicans – ergo TRUMP.

President Donald J. Trump is the greatest of American political real estate thieves. President Trump stole the Clinton coalition. President Trump stole the Republican Party. President Trump is stealing the Democratic Party of FDR/Kennedy. It’s a political real estate scandal.

President Trump has taken the real estate from the full spectrum of the right wing (far right, moderate right, liberal right) as well as the all important center of the political world, and is on the move to steal the center left and the moderate left. The only real estate President Trump will not steal is the kingdom of Kooks far far left and the dirty swamp.

But is picking up extremely valuable abandoned property, theft? Or is it smarts? The Obama Dimocrat Horror Cult is about to find out just how smart President Donald J. Trump is.

Political Cultural Storms: #HurricaneIrma Vs. TrumpNado, Plus AHSCult, #StarTrek, #Jennifer Lawrence

Update: President Trump in Florida to survey the damage and make sure recovery and repairs are carried out as he has ordered.

In case you missed it, President Trump in Florida discussed THE WALL: ‘If we don’t have the wall, we’re doing nothing’. President Trump made that comment after some earlier squishy comments in Washington. Here’s the quote in full (at 5:01 in the video): “But we’ll only do it if we get extreme security… if we get not only surveillance… but everything that goes along with surveillance. And ultimately we have to have the wall. If we don’t have the wall we’re doing nothing.” There’s also this (at 5:30) “At some point they’re gonna have to. They cannot obstruct the wall. The wall to me is vital. If I don’t get the wall then we will become the obstructionists.” And this (at 5:42): ‘”We have to have an understanding that whether it is in the budget or some other vehicle, in a fairly short period of time the wall will be funded, otherwise we’re not doing any deal.”

President Trump understands the vital nature of the WALL to his supporters. He will negotiate as a master of the Art of the Deal. The bottom line is results. Results he promised. Representative Steve King is correct that a betrayal on this issue is a betrayal on all issues:

We are sure President Trump will repeat his promises about the WALL to great cheers from those that voted for him in 2016, as he campaigns around the country in the next several weeks for tax reform. Big Media along with Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck will continue to sow discord among Trump supporters. As long as President Trump keeps his promises as he has on issue after issue, there will be no discord. The base will remain intact and an immovable object.

Today we present a picnic basket of analysis for those of you on the run to take with you as you flee from Hurricane Irma or recover from Hurricane Harvey.

Let’s start with the hurricanes and how the winds are blowing in our political cultural storms (then we’ll get to the fun stuff of American Horror Story and Star Trek and what that says about the zeitgeist).

On Hurricane Irma: run. This one is gonna be a Hillary2016 size disaster. It’s easy to see how bad this storm is going to be just by looking at its size. Run ladies and gents in Florida, run. Pretend a naked Michelle Obama is chasing you. Run!

Hurricane Irma, like Hurricane Harvey will cause a great deal of damage. Houses will float. Roofs will fly.

Hurricane Irma has already blown the roof off of two politicians and let us see them for who they are. We mean Governor Abbott and Governor Rick Scott. Governor Abbott of Texas, the guy in a wheelchair, acted like a superhero movie star. Abbott was everywhere seemingly bereft of sleep for days in order to take care of Texas citizens. Bravo Governor Abbott!

Governor Rick Scott. We’ve always had doubts about this guy. He looked kinda weird to us with his unblinking eyes, chrome dome head, and stilted speaking manner. We were chagrined when he was elected governor of Florida because his opponent was such a loon. Still… we have had reservations about this Rick Scott guy. Had. Hurricane Irma has exposed Governor Rick Scott of Florida as a strong leader who provides timely information and is doing everything we think he should be doing and doing it well. Bravo Governor Rick Scott!

Pay attention to these two governors. They both have a bright future in politics. Governor Abbott has already passed his test of leadership with his command of the Hurricane Harvey disasters.

Governor Rick Scott has passed his test of hurricane preparation but he still remains to be tested during the storm and as recovery begins. We suspect from his performance thus far that he will pass these tests superlatively as well. If Governor Rick Scott does well in the week and weeks to come it is likely that he will become, as we have predicted, the next Republican Senator from Florida if he decides to challenge Obama Dimocrat Bill Nelson in 2018.

What do Governors Abbott and Scott have in common? Well, they are both Republican governors. Most importantly they are both strong supporters of President Donald J. Trump. This means a strong desire by both federal and state governments to do the best jobs possible because there is good will amongst all the parties involved in hurricane disaster preparation.

There is more of course to these double hurricanes than weather or the political fates of two governors. Hurricane Irma, like Hurricane Harvey, will have political ramifications greater than most anticipate. For instance we already see how even the most anti-Trump Big Media outlets have to admit that President Trump’s quick and effective disaster relief efforts elevate his stature as well as the polls which cannot measure the full support of the public for President Trump.

* * * * * *

Thanks to GonzoTx in our comment section we have been alerted to a Mark Steyn quote which summarizes what has struck us about the political moment we are in. Steyn writes, culture trumps politics. We have to add, Trump trumps the culture.

We’ve written repeatedly about how President Trump is a revolutionary figure. The revolutionary aspect of Trump was exceedingly obvious by the time the Iowa caucuses vote and we noted the “prairie fire” that Donald J. Trump lit then.

What few anticipated was the cultural revolution that President Trump was about to light up as well. This cultural revolution was not entirely a surprise because Donald J. Trump so dominated the news. No other political candidate has set national conversations at the kitchen table and on congressional and Big Media panels to discuss the size of his hands, his hair, his skin coloration, his family, his taste in furniture and decorations, his lunch/dinner habits, his pizza eating style with fork and knife, his possessions, his demeanor, his tone, his counter-punching style, his ego, his private conversations, his public declarations, his movements, his height, his wife’s heels, in short everything about The Donald.

This is not to say that other candidates and presidents have not been put under a microscope. But Donald J. Trump is a nonstop source of conversation. Donald J. Trump is like the mystical cup the Norse god Thor drank from which contained an ocean of drink. This obsession with Trump is astounding.

Obsession has led to the cultural moment. President Trump we now can see, trumps the culture. This is not due to those that admire the man. President Trump trumps the culture because his enemies have made him the cultural icon and brand of the coming era.

It’s a bit like reverse Chairman Mao. The enemies of Chairman Mao in China wanted to get rid of him. They surmised that there were two ways to remove the Chairman. One way was to trash him and bury him. The other way was to elevate him so much he became irrelevant. With President Trump the NeverTrump right-wing and the totalitarian leftists have decided to deride and resist President Trump using all the tools of the culture. But instead of the dominant cultural elites’ destruction of President Trump, what is happening is that President Trump is warping the culture, devouring the culture, trumping the culture! It is astonishing to witness.

The madness of the NeverTrump right and the resist Trump left is in itself a cultural moment. Consider President Trump’s latest triumph over the GOP establishment and cooptation of the leftist leaders Pelosi and Schumer on DACA and budget issues. President Trump is without regrets:

Among Republicans on Capitol Hill, “I’ve never heard members and senators so angry at the president of their own party,” one durable Washington hand told me after yesterday’s round of check-in calls. [snip]

Our thought bubble for the president when he spontaneously made the fiscal package deal in front of a chagrined Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan: “You say I can’t make deals anymore? Hold my Diet Coke, and watch this! You say I’m beholden to Mitch and Paul? Watch me make a big deal without them!

A top aide puts it slightly more diplomatically: “He read the room. Instinctual. … He’s a dealmaker. He saw a deal.”

As we wrote, the “better deal” was a Trump schlong of Paul Ryno and in the Ditch Mitch who always pretend to fight only to cave at the last moment and do nothing to advance the Trump Agenda. It is understandable if the two that were schlonged raged and felt under attack. But it was the NeverTrump outcasts who exploded in rage, again, against President Trump. Only now do these fools understand that President Trump represents the death of the Republican Party that catered to the Chamber of Commerce and the worst war mongers of the Neo-con bowel movement.

The NeverTrump right however is irrelevant. They have nothing to offer but anger and rage alongside their words and delusions. Pat Buchanan who ran for President in 1992 and discovered the misery of the white working class in New Hampshire and elsewhere that year was attacked by these loons as a socialist because of his desire to do something to help. Because Buchanan did not bow to the Chamber of Commerce Buchanan was denounced as a leftist. Buchanan is a precursor to Donald J. Trump. Buchanan understands what it is that President Trump dealt to the do nothing congress:

Donald Trump is president today because he was seen as a doer not a talker. Among the most common compliments paid him in 2016 was, “At least he gets things done!”

And it was exasperation with a dithering GOP Congress, which had failed to enact his or its own agenda, that caused Trump to pull the job of raising the debt ceiling away from Republican contractors Ryan & McConnell, and give it to Pelosi & Schumer.

Hard to fault Trump. Over seven months, Congress showed itself incapable of repealing Obamacare, though the GOP promised this as its first priority in three successive elections.

Returning to D.C. after five weeks vacation, with zero legislation enacted, Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell were facing a deadline to raise the debt ceiling and fund the government. [snip]

Will he give up on free-trade Republicans to work with Democrats to protect U.S. jobs and businesses from predator traders like China? [snip]

We could be looking at a seismic shift in national politics, with Trump looking to centrist and bipartisan coalitions to achieve as much of his agenda as he can. He could collaborate with Federalist Society Republicans on justices and with economic-nationalist Democrats on tariffs.

Pat Buchanan understands that President Trump is a political force akin to the prairie fire that burns the fields and yields a new harvest from the soil enriched by the death of what once was. The totalitarian left understands this too. That is why we are at this political/cultural moment.

The NeverTrump right wing is a collection of crickets making night sounds in the fields before the prairie fire burns them dead. They don’t matter.

The anti-Trump GOP establishment likewise is on its death bed as 2018 brings forth a harvest of newly elected Republicans who support Trump. The anti-Trump GOP establishment soon will not matter.

The totalitarian left that tears down monuments and demands political censorship of speech they don’t like is aghast at what is witnessed. The totalitarian left reacted with rage against Senator Feinstein when she suggested that President Trump might not be the devil. The totalitarian left reacted with resistance and rage when their leftist leaders Pelosi and Schumer made a deal with the person they think is a Hitler. “How can you make a deal with Hitler?”

If Pelosi and Schumer agreed to a deal with the man that is hated by the left as Hitler (hey, wasn’t Hitler a socialist too?) then maybe Hitler is not Hitler? What to do, what to do?

The right wing is irrelevant. The totalitarian left is politically neutered but not yet irrelevant. Increasingly the totalitarian left understands their political irrelevance.

Because the totalitarian left understands they are politically irrelevant, the totalitarian left has retreated to the academic heights to fight for relevance. But that has not worked out too well either.

Big Media failed. Politics failed them. Academia failed them. The last refuge for the totalitarian left is the cultural heights they dominate. The left decided to fight President Trump with their most powerful weapon: culture. The cultural elites and their celebrity centurions who hate Trump decided to attack President Trump with the powerful tool that has always worked for them. Culture.

Enter Jennifer Lawrence. Jennifer Lawrence, a beautiful young star of the Hunger Games series (a film series that can be seen as a cinema prognostication of the rise of Donald J. Trump), as well as X-Men and other good films is the star of her latest release, “Mother!“. On a publicity tour Jennifer Lawrence continued her war against President Trump:

In an interview with Channel 4, a British public service television network, American actress Jennifer Lawrence blamed the recent hurricanes on Donald Trump’s voters, because they don’t believe in man-made climate change. During the lengthy interview on her new movie Mother!, the conversation turned political about halfway through. After discussing the alleged pay gap between men and women, the interviewer asked Lawrence about climate change and the political climate in America.

I mean when the director was asked about the film, why it was so dark, he said, ‘It’s a mad time to be alive.’ And there is certainly an end of days feeling about it. For many people, in America who would say, [grimaces] perhaps it’s truer there at the moment than anywhere else,” the Channel 4 reporter prompted Lawrence to comment.

It’s scary,” she responded. “You know, it’s this new language that’s forming, I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know, that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting,” Lawrence stated.

“And you have voted very recently, as a country” the interviewer acknowledged.

“And we voted, and it was really startling,” Lawrence added. She then insinuated that the hurricanes were “Mother Nature’s rage and wrath” at America for Trump.

“You know you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard especially while promoting this movie, not to feel mother nature’s rage and wrath,” she stated.

“It’s not just about climate change though is it, in America? It seems to be a time of huge division,” the reporter added.

Yeah, it’s really polarizing and upsetting. You know I’ve heard things and seen things on T.V. in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing,” Lawrence stated.

“Do you find President Trump confusing?” the reporter pressed further.

I don’t find him confusing. I think I know exactly what he is,” Lawrence said solemnly before smirking.

Wrapping up the interview, the reporter asked Lawrence how she felt about the future. The Hollywood actress didn’t have much hope with Trump leading the country, calling her recent film a “howl of rage” in response to what’s going on in America:

I have to feel hope, you know you have to feel hope. You can’t just fall into despair. But a producer on the movie called this film, ‘an impotent howl of rage.’ It’s like a helpless howl to the moon, like, it’s just an assault.”

Lawrence has been outspoken about President Trump before he was even president. Back in 2015, she cried that it would be “the end of the world” if he took office, and told Trump “f**k you” during a 2016 televised talk show appearance. After he won the election, Lawrence penned an open letter to young women on the feminist side Broadly, that the election should “enrage them.”

“[L]ike Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done. Do not let this defeat you — let this enrage you! Let it motivate you! Let this be the fire you didn’t have before. If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of color, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman — don’t be afraid, be loud!” she wrote.

Jennifer Lawrence might be pretty, young, and whatever. But what Jennifer Lawrence most informs us of is how President Trump is even expanding his assault on the establishment with the aim of conquest of the cultural heights now controlled by the totalitarian left.

Jennifer Lawrence confesses that a film producer called her latest film “an impotent howl of rage. It’s like a helpless howl to the moon, like, it’s just an assault.” Then Jennifer proclaims that she herself has “to feel hope, you know you have to feel hope. You can’t just fall into despair.”

Jennifer Lawrence wants “hope and change” because she does not want to be defeated. JL advises the leftists to be enraged. In the end Jennifer Lawrence is in despair because she sees as well as everyone on the left that President Trump is setting their cultural heights on fire.

All the left can offer as ammunition against President Trump is “an impotent howl of rage… a helpless howl to the moon.”

Jennifer Lawrence is not the only one howling impotently from the leftist cultural heights. The latest politically correct Star Trek is howling along impotently:

Star Trek: Discovery to tackle Trump-era political divide

Exclusive: ‘The Klingons are going to help us look at certain sides of ourselves and our country’

We predict this impotent howl at the moon from an exhausted TV franchise will go the way of Manimal.

These are all examples of impotent howls of rage from the totalitarian left. But to understand the coming cultural overthrow of the left there are few better examples than the latest offering from the American Horror Story franchise, Cult:

The story AHS: Cult surrounds Sarah Paulson‘s character, whose numerous phobias including her fear of clowns worsens after Donald Trump shocked the world and won the 2016 election last November while at the same time a cult of scary clowns begin a murderous rampage in her town.

We thoroughly enjoyed American Horror Story: Coven, the second season of the American Horror Story franchise. We enjoyed AHS so much we even wrote the Obama version of the series.

Our enthusiasm for AHS was due mostly to the wonderful acting of a bunch of women such as Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates. AHS soon degenerated into gore and blood for the sake of gore and blood. The subsequent reincarnations of the series we peeked at then left.

We pretty much decided never to waste our time on sensationalistic drivel of blood and gore. Then we heard about the new season and we doubly resolved not to watch more Trump bashing. Then, curiosity beat us like rented mules, and we proved the Mae West or Oscar Wilde adage as true – “I can resist anything but temptation.” We watched.

It is supposed to be anti-Trump. But what it is supposed to be and what it is are two different things.

AHS is no longer a vehicle for great women. It is now the Evan Peters show. He is a very good actor who has appeared in an X-Men movie, Jackass and other entertainments. AHS is now a vehicle for Evan Peters.

In AHS Peters is a Trump supporter as imagined hysterically through the eyes of the left. He mocks illegal immigrants by singing “La Cucaracha” and they beat him up. He is also clearly a killer. He’s too cute however to be frightening.

What is frightening are the Hillary supporters. What is very funny are the Hillary supporters. The lead woman character, a lesbian married to a lesbian and with an adopted male boy, is just plain nuts. She didn’t even vote for Hillary. She voted for Jill Stein – in Michigan. As she is reminded by an indignant Asian man, Jill Stein got more votes in Michigan than the margin Trump won by. The Asian man’s wife also did not vote for Hillary because as he screams at her “You were too busy with Etsy to vote”. Then the lead Hillary supporter who voted for Jill Stein weeps. It is all comedy.

She didn’t vote for Hillary but she weeps on the shoulder of her wife all the while crying hysterically “Merrick Garland… Merrick Garland… what’s gonna happen to Merrick Garland???” It is so intentionally overdone we all get the joke. To Hell with Merrick Garland the never on the Supreme Court loser that lost big on election night 2016.

The humor does not stop there. The nanny to be to the lesbian couple was a woman studies major who took time off from school to campaign for Hillary. On election night this millennial college student on leave is upset with CNN for declaring Trump as the newly elected president because CNN did not preface the announcement with a “trigger warning”. By the way, she is a killer too.

The lesbian in chief on election night refuses to believe the announced results. She declares “I won’t believe it until Rachel Maddow says it. She is the only one I trust.” The Evan Peters character crushes a bag of Cheetos and applies it to his face, a direct reference to NeverTrump Glenn Beck who did the same during the primaries to mock President Trump.

It’s all an impotent howl at the moon. It’s blood and climate change gore we likely won’t watch again. The cult, the kooks, the embarrassments are not the Trump supporter. The cult of kooks are the Hillary supporters in need of trigger warnings and Rachel Maddow. American Horror Story: Cult is the story of a deranged cult unable to deal with reality. It’s not about clowns. It’s not about Trump. It is about the triumph of Trump.

In 2017 the story is not clowns nor hurricanes. The story is the TrumpNado. The TrumpNado that has knocked down the corrupt political establishment. The TrumpNado that threatens to bring down the cultural establishment too.

The TrumpNado is blasting forth from sea to shining sea, from North to South, in a destructive path through the heartland of the GOP establishment, Academia, Big Media, and the cultural heights of the left. The TrumpNado will level them all. That’s what they fear. The TrumpNado!

Summer Of Trump III: Purge GOPe, Attack Big Media, Win!

Summer of Trump III was a replay of Summer of Trump II and Summer of Trump I. Remember? Summer of Trump I and II began with predictions of “it’s over for Trump” and Big Media chortled that no one could even survive the no good/bad/horrible death dealing circumstances. Then Trump triumphed.

We remember it all very well. Our analyses of Summer of Trump I, II, and III were all the same. We looked at the Big Media narrative, then we looked at reality, we predicted the Trump triumphs.

During Summer of Trump I , on September 8, 2015 we described reality as we saw it and while Big Media declared “it’s over for Trump”:

If the GOP establishment does not blow up Donald J. Trump before the Second GOP debate on September 16, it might well be over and Mr. Donald J. Trump will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016. The hostile takeover will be complete.

Are we premature? Is it too early to declare the very real, very authentic Donald J. Trump the winner before one vote has been cast? The latest polls convince us that it is not too early but rather too late to stop Trump.

In December of 2015 we played endless summer music to celebrate the first Summer of Trump.

In July 2016, Summer of Trump II, during the GOP convention that nominated Trump we wrote:

Today, like every Summer of Trump day, will not be any different. Donald J. Trump will be wearing board shorts, hair slicked back, Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses halfway down his nose, Hawaiian shirt open to his navel, flip-flops on – his feet firmly planted on a surfboard riding the zeitgeist wave. [snip]

Surf on zeitgeist wave surfer dude, surf on! Make America Safe Again after the past year and the past few weeks is zeitgeist ocean Yoda beach party dude. The zeitgeist wave is building for Trump

Earlier this Summer of Trump III we wrote:

Obama Dimocrats did not count on President Trump trumping. Obama Dimocrats thought that President Trump would avoid mention of the GA6 race because President Trump would never want to get involved in a race that had everything against him. Obama Dimocrats had tens of millions, a young male candidate to attack a not so young woman, enthusiasm from the Obama Dimocrat left as well as the Bernie Sanders Socialist left, and Big Media and the rest of the party were all in to defeat the hapless Karen Handel who barely came in first in the crowded GOP primary.

Then, Trump tweeted and triumphed.

Once Again, against the polls, Big Media, the GOP establishment, the Deep State, the Obama Dimocrat big dollar donors, leftist thugs, assassins, pajama boys, NeverTrumpers, and everyone who did not vote for candidate Trump in November 2016 – Trump triumphed.

Lessons? This election was essentially meaningless. The goal was to separate the GOP leadership, RINOs and WHINOs from President Trump and that has once again failed because Trump voters love to Trump! Trump! Trump! The only lasting lesson from this election we can think of is one we wrote about years ago. [snip]

If Trump voters stick with President Trump then the GOP leadership has to stick with President Trump and the 2016 elections are a rerun. Obama Dimocrats can’t get the voters they disparage daily.

We’ve been correct in our analysis because we look at reality, not Big Media’s version of their delusions.

This Summer of Trump III once again we heard “it’s over for Trump”. Swine GOP establishment types like Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell stabbed President Donald J. Trump in the back repeatedly as did some of President Trump’s cabinet members. Yet again, Big Media chortled, “it’s over for Trump” this time for real, really.

So what really happened in Summer of Trump III? Did the Charlottesville nonsense hurt President Trump? Did Hurricane Harvey knock out the Trumpnado? Did North Korea nuke President Trump? Did the GOP establishment depose President Trump? Did the Obama Dimocrats come one step closer to a glorious win in 2018 then 2020? Did the eclipse blot out President Trump? HA!

We’ll present the news Big Media is terrified to discuss. Remember as we discuss reality, that Summer of Trump III was supposed to be the death of President Trump because he could not survive the treachery of the GOP establishment and because everyday Republicans and Republican elected officials would run away from President Trump in fear of massive election losses in 2018 as voters turned against President Trump. Also remember our predictions in May of this year of big GOP victories in 2018 and the big reelection victory of President Trump in 2020.

Let’s start with the Obama Dimocrats. These kooks and klowns should be doing great if the narrative that President Trump is in any trouble whatsoever is in any way accurate. How are the Obama Dimocrats doing?

That bloated sack of feces from Canada, Michael Moore agrees with us that “Trump is on track to win again in 2020“. So much for “it’s over for Trump.”

Money? Citing the transgender order, Mitch McConnell’s attacks, “Trump’s crashing popularity”, and other absurdities, Big Media cannot understand why the Republicans are flush with cash from low dollar donors and the Obama Dimocrats can’t buy a shoelace with their failed fundraising efforts.

It’s not just us. The Vatican of Obama Dimocrats, the Big Pink hating 538 blog has predictions of what will happen in 2018. That Obama Dimocrat website revered by the leftist kooks predicts that the best Obama Dimocrats can hope for in 2018 is, well, read it and cry tears of laughter:

A new analysis, published by FiveThirtyEight, shows the congressional map for the 2018 midterm elections has a record-setting pro-GOP bias, which could mean more winning for President Donald Trump and his Republican party. [snip]

Even if Democrats were to win every single 2018 House and Senate race for seats representing places that Hillary Clinton won or that Trump won by less than 3 percentage points — a pretty good midterm by historical standards — they could still fall short of the House majority and lose five Senate seats.

So, under the best scenario, Obama Dimocrats can’t win the House of Representatives and the Republicans will be very close to 60 votes in the Senate, says 538 to the kooks.

The Cook Political Report, at the height of “it’s over for Trump” this Summer of Trump III likewise sees Obama Dimocrats in trouble, even Joe Manchin of West Virginia who has tried to pretend he is not an Obama Dimocrat even as he votes like an Obama Dimocrat.

Our prediction is the GOP maintains control of the House and the Senate GOP will have more than 60 seats. The Obama Dimocrats will have to defend 25 seats and the Republicans 8 seats, so even though midterm elections usually go badly for the party in power, we’ve never had a midterm with trump, Trump, trump. Add to all this goat’s head soup the fact that many of the Obama Dimocrats will run in states that President Trump won while the Republicans will also run in states that President Trump won, and, well, reality is easy to predict for us.

But, but, but, what about Barack Obama? Won’t Barack Obama save the Obama Dimocrats from President Trump??? Um, no, says that well known Obama Dimocrat Howard Dean. Barack Obama, says Howard Dean, is the kiss of death:

It’s long been over for the flim-flam con man Barack Obama!!!

As to the GOP establishment and President Trump, the outcome of this fight bodes well for President Trump too. We previously wrote about #DitchMitch and the battles to come with the GOP establishment. It’s happening:

Trump Divorces the GOP Congress [snip]

This would explain Mr. Trump’s recent gibes at Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for the Senate’s health-care failure. On Thursday he broadened the indictment to include blaming Mr. McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan, in advance, for trouble raising the federal debt ceiling when Congress returns in September.

The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board writes that President Trump will be the one to suffer and that attacking the GOP establishment finks will prevent President Trump from fulfilling his agenda. But what is President Trump’s agenda? The GOP establishment wants the agenda to be tax cuts for corporations and not much else. The GOP establishment does not want to build the wall nor stop illegal immigration. The GOP establishment does not want what President Trump wants.

The Trump agenda the GOP establishment does not like is the one the Trump voters want. What is the Trump agenda? First, attack and destroy the America hating Big Media that believes they are the masters of the people. Second, attack and destroy the political establishment that has failed. That’s the real Trump agenda. Tax cuts and all the other “policy” proposals fall under the details of what to do once Big Media is destroyed and the political establishment has been overturned.

The GOP establishment must be destroyed and President Trump is the one to do it:

The Memo: Trump allies say he needs a GOP scalp

Republicans on Capitol Hill lament President Trump’s aggressive behavior toward them, but some people in the president’s orbit are urging him to up the ante even further.

They say that, far from making nice, Trump needs to instill fear so that lawmakers do not feel at liberty to thwart him.

“Most members of Congress are arrogant, and until a scalp is actually taken they are going to continue to be defiant,” longtime Trump friend Roger Stone told The Hill. “All he needs to do is punish one incumbent and I think you’d see a sea-change.”

He is 100 percent correct to go after McCain, Flake, Murkowksi,” said Sam Nunberg, who worked as an aide to Trump’s 2016 campaign. [snip]

Steve Bannon, recently ousted as Trump’s chief strategist, does not appear to be in a compromising mood, however. He promised to keep up his own attacks on McConnell in an interview published by The Economist on Friday.

“I’m going to light him up,” Bannon said.

Trump himself seems in no particular mood to declare a truce.

“The only problem I have with Mitch McConnell is that, after hearing Repeal & Replace for 7 years, he failed! That should NEVER have happened!” the president wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

A New York Times story the previous day had reported that Trump and McConnell had not spoken to each other “in weeks” and that McConnell had “privately expressed uncertainty that Mr. Trump will be able to salvage his administration after a series of summer crises.” [snip]

And the president took aim at Corker, who had publicly called his “stability” and “competence” into question.

“Strange statement by Bob Corker considering that he is constantly asking me whether or not he should run again in ’18. Tennessee not happy!” Trump tweeted on Friday morning. [snip]

There are even some internal party critics of Trump’s, however, who don’t dismiss his words out of hand.

Appearing on Hugh Hewitt’s syndicated radio show on Thursday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said of Trump, “He’s running against Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham and others. The Congress is very unpopular, particularly with the Republican base, so there’s nothing unhinged about it. It’s a political strategy that I’m not so sure is smart, but it’s a very thought-out strategy. There’s nothing crazy about it.” [snip]

Stone argued that Trump is “far more popular and more influential with Republican primary voters than any members of Congress and any member of the United States Senate, and he has enormous leverage to go into party primaries.” [snip]

If those sentiments might be met with consternation on Capitol Hill, they are firmly endorsed by some among the conservative grassroots.

“Really, the Republican leadership in the House and the Senate needs to get behind President Trump and his agenda,” said Jenny Beth Martin, the president and co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots. “I think it is fair for him to shed light on what is really happening on Capitol Hill.

“The voters voted for Donald Trump to be a sledgehammer and a wrecking ball to Washington, D.C.,” she added.

Kick the tires and light the fires! Summer of Trump is not over.

Paul Ryan has done nothing to help President Trump. Every time Paul Ryan sees an opportunity to attack President Trump he does so. John McCain, like Paul Ryan also delights in attacks against President Trump as they both did after President Trump wisely pardoned Joe Arpaio.

How wonderful to hear then, after the attacks on the Arpaio pardon that Joe Arpaio might repay the favor and run against GOP establishment stooge Jeff Flake. Flake and the NeverTrump kooks are in trouble:

Flake’s in big trouble — The Arizona GOP Senate primary is still about a year away. But the prospect that Sen. Jeff Flake won’t make it out of the GOP primary is looking very real. Two polls conducted since Trump ripped into Flake on Twitter have Flake trailing Kelli Ward by double digits. Flake hasn’t led in a single primary poll taken at any point since last November.

Maybe Heller is too — Republican Sen. Dean Heller could also be in trouble. JMC Analytics released a poll this week of the Nevada GOP Senate primary. It found Heller (who’s had a lukewarm relationship with Trump) losing to Danny Tarkanian (a perennial Republican candidate and big-time Trump backer) 39 percent to 31 percent. Heller answered this survey by releasing his own internal poll showing him up 55 percent to 33 percent. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Fu*k Flake!

The Hill has some wet fingers feeling the winds of 2018:

The 2018 Senate map heavily favors Republicans, who will only defend eight seats, including just two of which are considered vulnerable right now. By comparison, Democrats have to defend 25 seats, including 10 in states that Trump won in 2016. [snip]

Here are the seven most vulnerable Senate seats of the 2018 midterm elections as they stand now.

Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) [snip]

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.)

McCaskill is one of the few statewide Democratic officeholders left in Missouri, which Trump won by 19 points in November. [snip]

Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.)

Donnelly leveraged a bipartisan approach to politics and his blue-collar appeal into a Senate seat in 2012, but he’ll have to fight yet another tough battle if he wants to keep his Senate seat in a state Trump won by 19 points. [snip]

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)

Flake wouldn’t rank this high in a normal election year, but a Republican president threatening to support a primary challenge to an incumbent GOP senator isn’t normal, either. [snip]

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.)

In 2016, West Virginia went for Trump by a larger margin than any other state – 42 points. [snip]

Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.)

Heitkamp hails from another deep-red state – North Dakota went for Trump by about 36 points. [snip]

Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.)

Republicans have a lot to like about their Montana prospects. Trump won the state by more than 20 points in November, and Republican Greg Gianforte just won the state’s at-large congressional seat in a special election even after he assaulted a reporter. [snip]

There are five other Democrats running in states Trump won – Sens. Bill Nelson (Fla.), Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.), Tammy Baldwin (Wis.), Debbie Stabenow (Mich.) and Sherrod Brown (Ohio). These five do not yet seem as vulnerable as the others, but the races could move up the rankings depending on how primaries shake out.

Florida Republicans are in a holding pattern as Gov. Rick Scott (R) weighs a bid, since his entry would immediately clear the field and give Nelson a top-tier challenger. Casey and Baldwin are waiting to see how the large GOP primary fields taking them on shake out.

Musician Kid Rock is mulling a bid against Stabenow. And Brown could face a rematch against his 2012 opponent, state treasurer Josh Mandel, but some state Republicans aren’t excited about his campaign and are looking for other options.

President Donald J. Trump will be a powerful, if not determinative voice, in these primary and general elections. It won’t be the GOP that will win in 2018. President Donald J. Trump will win in 2018 and 2020.

Summer of Trump never ends.

@RealDonaldTrump At War: Afghanistan, Arizona, Flake, Ducey, McCain, #DitchMitch, Kelli Ward

Update II: President Trump at the American Legion convention:

——————————————————

Update: President Trump in Arizona! The medium is the message:

——————————————————–

The medium is the message. Monday night President Donald J. Trump in a nationally televised speech in front of American troops and top government officials announced his strategy to kill terrorists in Afghanistan. Tuesday night in Arizona President Donald J. Trump will visit with American troops in Arizona then go to a big rally with Vice President Mike Pence alongside him in Arizona.

The medium is the message. President Trump in Arizona is sending a very big message because he is in Arizona. The targets of President Donald J. Trump are Arizona Governor Ducey, Senator John McCain, and Senator Jeff Flake.

Let’s start with Governor Ducey as Trump Target #2:

Gov. Doug Ducey will greet President Donald Trump on the tarmac after Air Force One touches down Tuesday afternoon for his first presidential visit to the Grand Canyon state.

But the Republican governor, who like many in the GOP has diplomatically sidestepped Trump and his more divisive rhetoric, will not attend Trump’s campaign-style rally at the Phoenix Convention Center. [snip]

Richard Herrera, an Arizona State University associate professor of political science, said Ducey’s decision illustrates the Trump tightrope he walks as the governor prepares a 2018 reelection bid.

Herrera said the governor is trying to strike a balance between Republican voters who ardently support Trump, and those who vehemently oppose him.

If Ducey avoided Trump altogether, he could alienate voters he will need next year. And if he joined the president at the rally, Herrera said, he could leave some voters with the impression he supports all of the president’s views. [snip]

“The upside is that for supporters of Trump, he makes a gesture of being close to the president,” Herrera said. “The upside is that he doesn’t have to be in full public view at the rally.

“The negative side is it may not be enough for either group,” he added.

Just by being in Arizona, President Donald J. Trump puts Governor Pucey Ducey on notice that Trump supporters will not vote for this wucey. This Ducey character encouraged Senator McCain to preserve ObamaCare with his vote against ObamaCare repeal in the Senate. Ducey better get a ticket on the TrumpTrain or he will find himself on the tracks with the mighty Trump engine over him.

Arizona Governor Ducey should look at the latest polls from Kentucky for a clue to his reelection bid.

Remember how many in the GOP establishment and Big Media thought President Trump made a big mistake by attacking Senator Mitch McConnell which led to McConnell attacking President Trump? President Trump is at 60% approval in Kentucky and Mitch McConnell is at 18% approval in his home state. Yeah, 18% for Mitch. Add to that Republican voters now very unhappy with the Republican congress and it is time for these losers to buy a clue.

Guess who else is at 18% approval? Yup, President Trump hater, Jeff Flake, who is up for reelection in 2018 is at 18% approval in Arizona.

Jeff Flake needs President Trump even more because Flakey is in lots of trouble with conservatives even as Flakey calls himself the keeper of the flame for conservatives:

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell on Tuesday unloaded on Arizona GOP Sen. Jeff Flake, mocking him in a Twitter post as an “imposter” posing as a conservative.

“Jeff Flake is not a conservative, nor does he have a conscience,” Bozell said, slamming Flake by using the title of his new book “Conscience of a Conservative” — a nod to Barry Goldwater’s 1960 work that was ghost-written by Bozell’s late father.

“On behalf of my late father and my family, I am denouncing Senator Jeff Flake and his new book, dishonestly titled, ‘Conscience of a Conservative,'” Bozell wrote in a posted statement. [snip]

“The media need to know, when reporting on Senator Flake and his ‘book,’ that the author is a deceiver out for personal and financial gain. I also call on my conservative brethren to denounce this imposter, who dishonorably claims to speak for conservatism, in the strongest possible terms,” the Twitter post maintained.

While promoting his news book, Flake told CBS News’ “Face The Nation” the GOP had “lost its way” and given in to “nativism and protectionism.”

He also slammed the party in a commentary for Politico Magazine last month, criticizing the GOP for “creating” and “rationalizing” President Donald Trump.

Jeff Flake has repeatedly attacked President Trump. Jeff Flake believed that along with Senator McCain and Governor Ducey he could attack President Trump and still be reelected. As if!

John McCain is popular with Obama Dimocrats but not Republicans. John McCain will not help Flake in the Republican primary. Governor Ducey will be too busy in a fight for his own survival so he won’t be much help to Flake either. Governor Ducey and Senator Flake need President Trump, not John McCain.

Just by being in Arizona, President Donald J. Trump slaps Jeff Flake in the face. Jeff Flake needs President Trump but President Trump does not need Jeff Flake. There is another. Her name is Kelli Ward:

Top Trump donor ponies up to take out Flake

Robert Mercer is donating $300,000 to a super PAC backing Kelli Ward, who is running against the GOP senator in a primary next year.

One of Donald Trump’s most generous political benefactors is providing a six-figure donation to a super PAC devoted to unseating Sen. Jeff Flake, an Arizona Republican who has been fiercely critical of the president.

Robert Mercer, a reclusive hedge fund billionaire who was intimately involved in Trump’s rise and helped to bankroll his 2016 campaign, is contributing $300,000 to a super PAC supporting former state Sen. Kelli Ward, who is challenging Flake in a Republican primary next year.

It’s the latest sign that Trump’s political machine is preparing to take on Flake, whose persistent attacks have angered the president. The White House has met with Ward and two other Republicans who are mulling primary challenges to the Arizona senator, state Treasurer Jeff DeWit and former state GOP Chairman Robert Graham.

A longtime Trump critic, Flake has made waves with the release of his new book, “Conscience of a Conservative.” He argues that his party is in denial about the Trump presidency and blames the GOP for his rise. Over the past week, Flake has launched a national TV tour in which he’s made the case that his party has taken the wrong course.

During the 2016 campaign, Flake refused to endorse Trump and called on him to withdraw after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape, in which Trump was heard boasting about groping women. The senator refused to attend the GOP convention, saying that he had to stay home to mow his lawn.

His jabs rankled candidate Trump, who at one point said that he would be willing to spend $10 million of his own money to defeat Flake in a 2018 primary.

And during a press briefing last week, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders declined to rule out the possibility that the president would help finance an anti-Flake primary effort.

If we were suspicious types we would think that the Steve Bannon resignation and that five hour meeting with Robert Mercer as Bannon prepared to leave the White House job after his August 7 resignation had something to do with all this. We expect Trump supporters, Steve Bannon, Robert Mercer, are all united in taking down politically, the flakeity flake Jeff Flake.

Tonight. Trump. Arizona. 2018. 2020. War!
