The confirmation of what we last wrote about the Kulturkampf is coming in every day. President Donald J. Trump is trumping the culture and without respite wreaking devastation on the political/cultural left.

Further, President Trump, like a boxer in his prime, with eight arms not the regulation two, delivers his powerful blows against leftist culture then recycles the blows to strike at leftist politics, then bludgeons the political left with the same blows he rains down on leftist culture then leftist politics then back to leftist culture.

It’s not just President Trump either. President Trump has so impacted the culture and the political swamps that it’s almost as if the political winds and tides act in obedience to the President.

All the while, President Trump gains strength as he weakens the left, which makes President Trump ever stronger to devastate the left even more. It’s a cycle that feeds the cycle, a fire that feeds the fire.

The one-two combination punches which lead to more one-two combination punches are fearsome and likely to increase in frequency and force.

Culture War – Hillary Clinton, NFL, Weinstein, Virginia

Consider the issues President Trump addressed during the first thirteen days of October. On the culture side was the NFL and the millionaire players who refuse to stand and respect the American flag and the republic for which it stands. At a political election rally President Trump attacked the millionaire players who kneel and disrespect the flag. The NFL soon felt the gale force concussion-dealing blows from TrumpNado.

In walked Hillary Clinton to continue the cycle. Hillary defended the kneeling football players for their political stance disrespecting the flag on the cultural fields of football. Immediately President Trump pounced and politically trashed Hillary’s dumb defense of the cultural insult to the flag.

Somehow Hillary Clinton cannot understand that her hapless political support on this cultural issue helps President Trump. Somehow Hillary Clinton cannot see that it is the NFL, not President Trump, holding emergency discussions to try to defuse the issue which President Trump is only too happy to highlight every day. President Trump is winning on the cultural football kneelers issue and that helps him politically. Hillary, unable to see that she is lending support to vanquished armies, appears a dunce unable to distinguish a retreating army from an advancing army.

Hillary Clinton is also a figure in a cultural issue which has been used by the political left to attack President Trump specifically and the GOP generally. The issue is sexism and misogyny. Here, it is the political winds and tides doing President Trump’s bidding, not President Trump himself.

Harvey Weinstein. Harvey Weinstein and his crimes appear to the dunces to be a cultural issue. It’s not about hypocrisy though. It’s not about culture. It’s not about social norms. It’s about politics. The left has used culture issues as ammunition in the political war. Now it is all on the other foot as metaphorically mixed President Trump turns the tables, or rather the political winds and tides shift to favor President Trump and the GOP.

The Harvey Weinstein scandal is no longer about Harvey Weinstein. It never was just about Harvey Weinstein, as we explained. But the political left wanted to restrict the issue to Harv in order to protect the Hollywood cultural/political left and most importantly the entire structure of the political left leadership.

Again, Hillary Clinton, “clueless” as Alicia Silverstone’s character in the movie of the same name. Only, Hillary Clinton is pretending to be clueless. It took Hillary Clinton, defender of women, a long time to speak up about her pal Harvey. Then Hillary expressed shock and ignorance. The Harvey money would not be returned by Hillary however. Then today, any dunce that thought Hillary Clinton did not know about Harvey Weinstein became slack-jawed as a long-time Hillary and Bill crony from Hollywood, um, cut to the chase:

As more and more women have come forward, A-listers who are normally intrepid, social injustice sniffers have scrambled to condemn Weinstein and announce that they had no idea all this was going on. Some said this despite knowing him for decades, starring in his films and being friends with accusers who starred in his films. [snip]

However, I will be the first to admit that clearly delineated moral choices can still be painfully complex where friendship is involved. One of the best friends I will ever have and a man I love dearly, former President Bill Clinton, has certainly taxed my feminist conscience, but always without diminishing my affection. I even helped write his apology to the nation for his own sexual misconduct, was sitting next to him when he delivered it, and believe to this day it was based on something that was none of our business. And yes, some may call it hypocritical, but I confess to having had no problem warning at least three top-level Democratic operatives against allowing Harvey Weinstein to host political fundraisers.

Top-level operatives of the party knew, and therefore Hillary knew. A good friend from Arkansas warned about the dangers of political fundraisers with now cultural pariah Harvey Weinstein so Hillary knew. But Hillary kept quiet and collected the cash. Same as the other women who knew. And the men who knew.

Gee, all those powerful, strong, bold women!!!! They all knew and they all kept quiet. Powerful rich women kept quiet. Women advertised as “strong and bold” kept quiet. Are there any truly strong women in the political/cultural leftist world???? Or are they all whores who pretended to be powerful and strong only to remain silent and tamed as long as the money was inserted?

Rose McGowen comes out the best in all this. Even better is the strong and powerful Ambra Battilana Gutierrez who after Harvey attacked her, immediately went to the police station to report the assault then cooperated with the police and recorded Weinstein only to have the politically powerful leftist District Attorney refuse to prosecute. Hillary Clinton? Yeah, she knew. So much for strong and powerful and bold.

Linda Bloodworth Thomason told top fundraisers about Harvey. But still Hillary Clinton went to Harvey Weinstein’s house to raise money. Praised Harvey Weinstein. Does anyone doubt that everyone knew and that many of those had to have warned Bill and Hillary Clinton that Harvey Weinstein was a predator even as he used his position of cultural power to help elect political figures?

Hillary Clinton knew. Hillary Cliton! When it is politically useful it is clit-on. When not, clit-off. Everybody knew:

We knew about the man’s hunger; his fervor; his appetite.
There was nothing secret about this voracious rapacity; like a gluttonous ogre out of the Brothers Grimm.
All couched in vague promises of potential movie roles.
(and, it should be noted: there were many who actually succumbed to his bulky charms. Willingly. Which surely must have only impelled him to cast his fetid net even wider).

But like I said: everybody-fucking-knew.

And to me, if Harvey’s behavior is the most reprehensible thing one can imagine, a not-so-distant second is the current flood of sanctimonious denial and condemnation that now crashes upon these shores of rectitude in gloppy tides of bullshit righteousness.

They all knew. These leftist “cultural creatives” and leftist politicos all knew even as they pretend not to have known. They now denounce Harvey Weinstein only to watch their inner Harvey’s exposed like a flasher at a woman’s rights convention. Yeah, leftist Jeffrey Katzenbach, Molly Ringwald is talking about you:

That studio head was later alleged to be Jeffrey Katzenberg by a number of outlets, linking to the magazine issue.

Jeffrey Katzenbach is one of the Katzenjammer leftists at the former DreamWorks, leftists all. Katzenbach made rich by his cultural life gives money to political Obama Dimocrats and other leftists to fulfill their leftist dreams.

Jeffrey Katzenbach and the other cultural leftists exposed alongside Harvey Weinstein will have to curtail their political donations as their money is now toxic. Katzenbach is not alone. Bob Weinstein, brother of Harve, tried to pretend he was shocked by Harve’s behavior. Soon Bob Weinstein too was exposed.

Ben Affleck, the non-talent wig wearing fatso who plays Batman in the latest “Justice League” is about to get justice as his many sexual assaults and harassments threaten the release of “Justice League” which was due in theaters in a few weeks. Bryan Singer, the talented director of X-Men and other big features does not like his vegetables but does like meat, little boy meat, and now he too is in trouble along with all of his ilk.

All these cultural leftists would ordinarily be called to use their “star” power to pull political loser candidates over the finish line in elections. Now, they are all neutered. Neither Matt Damon nor Ben Affleck, nor any of the Hollywood fakes will be going to Virginia for the big election there. It’s an election Obama Dimocrats know they cannot afford to lose:

A cultural issue President Trump began to speak about and which is a sure winner politically:

Gillespie recently rolled out new ads targeting Northam for being weak on crime and illegal immigration, and 40 percent of responders said they only trust Gillespie on crime. Just 24 percent of responders said the opposite, that they only trust Northam on crime.

President Trump spoke out about the MS-13 gang and Gillespie uses the gang’s slogan in a very provocative ad:

Obama Dimocrat Northam needed Barack Obama to campaign for him in order to bring in the black vote. But Northam has tried to play a sneaky game and he has been caught:

Thirteen Days: Enemies Foreign And Domestic – Iran, ObamaCare

The earlier “thirteen days in October” of significance involved JFK’s confrontation with the Soviet Union and Cuba. President Donald J. Trump the first thirteen days of October 2017 likewise has confronted America’s enemies, foreign and domestic.

The actions of the first thirteen days are exactly what we suggested a few days after his election victory President Donald J. Trump should do:

We know exactly what President Donald J. Trump must do, how he must do it, and when he must do it. Ignore what anyone else says. We know. We know. We know. [snip]

President Donald J. Trump must do exactly the opposite of what Barack Obooberama did in exactly the opposite way of how and when Obooberama did it.

It’s not even a year, yet the man who never sleeps is no longer slowly moving his agenda forward. After months of preparatory work and lots and lots of action, President Trump is now draining the swamps, moving his agenda forward, pushing the entire federal bureaucracy to move forward, and making huge leaps and bounds to move the Trump MAGA agenda forward across all fronts.

We explained the first months of President Donald J. Trump would be equivalent to the creation of an invasion beachhead on hostile territory:

From late January until September 2017 the battle was to capture the beachhead and bring order to the chaotic invasion forces and logistics. Establish the beachhead, then more forward, move forward.

The beachhead is now established. The enemy fortifications identified and at the first stages of destruction. The Generals and supplies are all on the beachhead; the invasion moves forward, forward.

The first thirteen days in October: when the political/cultural invasion of the swamp blasts through to destroy the outflanked enemy.

Save America – Destroy Everything Obama Did

We’re not alone in recognizing the monumental events during the first thirteen days in October. The leftists at Yahoo News saw the ‘do the opposite of everything Obooberama did’ after that fateful Friday the 13thstrategy:

But by the end of the week, he had made more progress in undoing the policy accomplishments of his Democratic predecessor, Barack Obama, than he had in some time.

To Make America Great Again, the Obama agenda had to be destroyed, and that is what President Trump has done the first thirteen days of October:

On foreign policy, President Trump has to reverse the Obama policies if we are ever to Make America Great Again.

On simple things such as the culturally important “Merry Christmas” greeting, President Trump in October has made it clear that he will say “Merry Christmas” and encourage “Merry Christmas” with the same vigor he has “encouraged” the NFL to respect the flag. The politically correct euphemisms such as “seasons greetings” or “happy holidays” should not be forced from those that want to say “Merry Christmas”.

On complicated issues such as ObamaCare, President Trump will attack America’s domestic enemies. So bad was ObamaCare that low and middle-class households paid the penalty rather than saddle themselves with the horror of ObamaCare. Things will get better thanks to President Trump.

On issue after issue President Trump is fighting to Make America Great Again. Russia? It turns out that the big scandal on Russia is not Trump related, but rather Hillary Clinton related, Barack Obama related, Eric Holder related, Justice Department related, FBI related.

The Revolution’s Here: President Trump’s Firsts, Triumph Over Phony #WomensMarch

Update: President Trump is like Motown Records in it’s heyday – the hits just keep on coming! Today President Trump approved the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. Many presumed President Trump would wait on those until his EPA nominee was confirmed by the Senate, but President Trump won’t be delayed. President Trump also signed an executive order commanding the “… Commerce Department to maximize the use of U.S. steel in constructing the pipes for these projects. ‘We will build our own pipelines. We will build our own pipes. … Like we used to in the old days,’ he said.”

In addition, President Trump signed executive orders again ordering the Commerce Department to streamline the “extremely cumbersome” process of obtaining permits for manufacturing projects. Another executive order commanded expedited “environmental reviews and approvals.” President Trump declared “We can’t be in an environmental [review] process for 15 years if a bridge is going to be falling down or if a highway is crumbling.”

President Trump also ordered the EPA to “freeze its grants and contracts” be “temporarily suspended, effective immediately”!

Yesterday President Trump met with Big Labor leaders and the Labor chieftains proclaimed the meeting to be “incredible“. Today President Trump at 9:00 a.m. met with automobile industry leaders. The auto industry leaders emerged from the meeting with “a lot of confidence” and encouraged by President Trump.

President Trump also announced his Supreme Court nominee will be made public next week.

That all happened before noon. This Trump guy appears to be high energy.

President Trump’s first week day and first week will be filled with surprises and gifts galore. This might be an update kind of day as developments develop.

On President Trump’s first half day, Friday, he was inaugurated and signed several executive orders which will have bite as time goes on. On President Trump’s first weekend day he attended a prayer service. Also on President Trump’s first weekend day there was a funeral called the “women’s march”.

The phony “women’s march” on Saturday was a funeral attended by corpses. The phony “women’s march” was a celebration of Islam, that hates women. The phony “women’s march” ignored the fact that Trump was elected by a majority of white women. The phony “women’s march” was seriously “a day late”.

Imagine if the phony “women’s march” had taken place on the day after Hillary Clinton was nominated as the first woman presidential candidate of a major party – we would have taken it to mean a serious challenge and the birth of a counter-revolution by reactionary forces prepared to fight. Imagine if the phony “women’s march” had taken place a few days before the November 2016 election. Imagine the boost of high energy that would have provided Hillary2016. But no, that didn’t happen.

The phony “women’s march” literally was “a day late” – as President Trump was inaugurated a day earlier. The phony “women’s march” which excluded Hillary Clinton from it’s list of prominent “leaders” was phony because it did not represent all women. The phony “women’s march” was phony because in actuality, put aside the publicity, it was a funeral. All the women and men who attended the “women’s march” participated in their own funeral. The corpses walked about, walking dead, unaware they were dead and all their works buried.

Imagine that, a gay man who understands Islam is out to kill him, and women and anyone in favor of freedom and liberty for all, because he is gay, or because of ovaries, or because thoughts must be suppressed by the establishment so the establishment can benefit and by Islam so that Islam can conquer and inflict itself on freedom loving peoples.

Yeah, the revolution is here and it’s the first Monday of the revolution. What will President Trump do? What has President Trump done?

Well, it’s good riddance to TPP as President Trump has now signed an executive order to that effect. There’s now a hiring freeze at the previously ever expanding Federal government thanks to a newly signed executive order. NAFTA will be renegotiated or get killed too. The Mexico City policy on abortion is back which stops taxpayer funded abortions overseas, per an executive order. President Trump spoke with the Egyptian president, his ally against Muslim terrorism. President Trump also met with ten manufacturing business leaders (Ford, Dell, Tesla, Dow, Under Armour), to discuss his plans to cut taxes and regulations. About those regulations, President Trump said he wants to cut regulations by a stunning 75% or more! Later in the day President Trump will meet with Labor leaders and American workers. President Trump is working diligently and rapidly to fulfill that long long list of things he promised to do on his first full work day.

On Friday President Trump will meet with his first world leader – a woman – British Prime Minister Theresa May. Take that phony “women’s march” cadavers.

@RealDonaldTrump In #Gettysburg Embraces His Destiny

We were the first to say the 2016 presidential election was the most significant election since the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860. We called this presidential election Prairie Fire Pre-Civil War Revolution Realignment. In that article, before the first vote in Iowa was cast, we outlined the historical implications of the 2016 elections:

Understand this: The governed withdraw their consent from the corrupt political establishment. We’re in a pre-Civil War situation. America 2016 is late stage America of the 1819 Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850, the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854, Dred Scott decision of 1857, and finally the presidential election of 1860. Donald Trump planted a flag on hallowed ground Saturday morning by laying out near the Gettysburg National Battlefield what he would do in his first 100 days as President of the United States.

Touting ‘the kind of change that only arrives once in a lifetime,’ Trump told an audience of about 300 invited guests that he will ‘drain the swamp’ in Washington, replacing the current government ‘with a new government of, by and for the people.’

The symbolism factor was high, with a campaign aide telling reporters Friday night that the Civil War battle in Gettysburg memorialized by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 ‘was the moment when the war turned.’

Trump’s own war – a two-front clash against both Hillary Clinton and the mass media – will come to a climax on November 8 when most Americans will choose a leader for the next four years.

He summed up the substance of his campaign in a ‘Contract With The American Voter’ – a point-by-point set of initiatives that track with the themes he has focused on for 16 months.

Included are six anti-corruption pledges, seven actions related to jobs and trade and five on immigration and the ‘rule of law.’ He ended his contract with a list of 10 bills he said he would try to quickly shepherd through Congress.

In a shock of change and awe to the Big Media establishment, Donald J. Trump pledged to block many of the mergers proposed and already in place which have created near monopoly control of Big Media by the powerful. “Deals like this destroy democracy” exclaimed Trump in what can be seen as a declaration of war by for and of the people against Big Media.

Big Media is the enemy, Trump now clearly understands. Donald J. Trump in Gettysburg made it clear that he will not allow Big Media to continue to destroy our democracy. This was always to be his destiny. In order to Make America Great Again the ruling class and the political establishment of all political parties and institutions had to be confronted and defeated. Today Trump embraced his destiny.

To borrow from Lincoln at Gettysburg, today Donald J. Trump declared in different words for a different time “this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” Those few words are the meaning of “Make America Great Again”.

We remember a get together with liberal activist Democrats years ago. The Monica Lewinsky story broke that very hour. George Stephanoupoulos predicted Bill Clinton could not survive until his State of the Union speech. Big Media and Democrat politicians knew it was all over. At our little get together the overwhelming consensus was “it’s over for Bill”. There was one voice that disagreed.

At that get together we stood up to scoff at the conventional wisdom. Our prediction was “this will make Bill stronger than ever.” A few days later Bill Clinton’s poll numbers jumped up sixteen percent. Republicans thought the Lewinsky sex scandal would finish him off and Democrats who wanted a leftist in office wanted Bill Clinton gone. We based our contrary opinion that night on the fact that Americans knew Bill Clinton was not a choir boy. We knew Americans don’t like contrived controversies to distract from the big issues. Which brings us to tonight and the presidential debate at 9:00.

What should Donald J. Trump do? Take a page from Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton survived and thrived because at the State of the Union speech he demonstrated personal control and stamina and stuck to the issues American care about. Trump should sincerely apologize, say he has changed during this presidential campaign, and say he will speak to the issues Americans face.

At that point to everything Hillary Clinton says Donald J. Trump should reply with “but what is your private view, the view you really hold behind closed doors with your Wall Street donors?”

Hillary Clinton and the moderators will not let Trump do that. They will continue with their Pussy riot. At that point we will discard all our previously held opinions which are that sex scandals against the Clintons don’t profit Republicans. At that point Donald J. Trump can make a very spirited and successful attack against Bill Clinton’s predatory behaviors and Hillary Clinton’s defense of same. Republicans will finally get the fight on sex they always wanted. This time they will finally win.

Well, not all Republicans will win. Donald J. Trump, when pressed tonight about Paul Ryan, John McCain, Jason Chaffetz, Kelly Ayotte, and others running for office who have denounced Trump or even declared they will not vote for Trump could declare that many of his voters will now abandon those who abandoned Trump. Republicans in close elections like Ayotte, Kirk, and Heck, should be told in certain terms that Trump voters will not vote for those who stab Trump in the back. The pressure on Paul Ryan, booed by Trump supporters yesterday at a Ryan rally, should make clear to the GOP establishment that if they attack Trump, Trump voters will attack them.

As to Hillary Clinton, she should abandon the Pussy riot attacks. Donald J. Trump will attack if Hillary Clinton tries the Pussy riot attack.

Donald J. Trump can ask young women how they can support a candidate that has attacked women who complained about rape? Trump can remind young women that Hillary Clinton stood by Bill Clinton – who used a young woman in the White House as a cigar humidor. Donald J. Trump can ask young women not to have as their role model either Hillary Clinton who defends a sex predator and who’s top aide remained by the side of her husband even as Anthony Weiner sexted erect penis pictures, took engorged penis pictures with his 4 year old son next to him, and even sexted a 15 year old girl. See what we mean. Young women who connect the dots will not like the picture. This can get very ugly. Very ugly.

As we advised earlier, Donald J. Trump should stick to the issues. At the same time every response from Hillary Clinton should be “rinse, repeat” questions and Trump should ask “but what is your private view, the view you really hold behind closed doors with your Wall Street donors?” If Trump wants to reach out to Bernie Sanders supporters this is how to do it. Bernie Sanders supporters, as Yahoo news reports, are “seething”.

Also as we advised before, Donald J. Trump should ask how someone in public life for decades has managed to amass well over a hundred million dollars. Trump can ask why all the Hillary Clinton proposals have not been done by Barack Obama. Trump can ask why in her long career Hillary Clinton has not achieved what she say she will now finally achieve. It all rather a simple line of attack from Trump.

Trump, as we advised, should remind the American public tonight that Bill Clinton knows that ObamaCare is crazy and does not work. ObamaCare viciously extracts money from the hardworking middle and working classes to give to big insurance companies. Why does Hillary Clinton defend ObamaCare?

But the big atomic issue, the nuclear bomb that has blown up Hillary2016 is the latest Wikileaks release. Hillary Clinton’s dream is “open trade” and “open borders”. That’s a nightmare. Donald J. Trump should stick to the issues tonight. There is no bigger issue than Hillary Clinton’s lies to Bernie Sanders’ voters and the American public about “open borders”.

Even the “bad” news for Trump, in light of history might very well turn out to be more “good” news. Let’s look at the alleged “bad” news first.

There is some hope Trump will heed our advice at the second debate because Trump immediately turned to Bill Clinton for help after the tape emerged. Trump said Bill Clinton had said worse to him on the golf course. We imagine that Newt Gingrich might soon come forth with his memories of when Bill Clinton in the White House told him ‘there is nothing better than a glass of Scotch, a cigar, and some pus*y’.

Trump’s immediate go to Bill Clinton for his defense is smart. When we first started considering what Trump and Hillary should do at the second debate we thought Bill Clinton should have been the topic of greatest value for Trump. As we advised Mike Pence, we thought Pence should use Bill Clinton’s attack on ObamaCare as the focus of the second debate. Not any more. Donald Trump has even bigger fish to fry.

We’ll get back to ObamaCare. But the paramount issue of Sunday’s debate exploded in a mushroom cloud in Brooklyn today.

Hillary Clinton’s smartest move on Sunday is to goad Donald J. Trump with attacks on his father and his family. Donald J. Trump at every turn should be kind and gracious to the audience and turn every answer into an attack on “open borders” and ObamaCare.

Whenever Hillary Clinton says anything Trump can ask if that is her public or private view. Then Trump can ask Hillary why she has not executed her proposal over her decades in office. Then Trump can ask Hillary why Obama has not done what she proposes. Rinse, repeat, rinse, repeat.

Make that three speeches, not the two speeches we referenced in Part I, that shook the world. In this Part II we’ll discuss Trump’s rope-a-dope, now triple punch, speech strategy. We begin with a Trump hater extraordinaire who took this long to see what we saw last year when Trump announced.

Trump hater Matt Bai at Rolling Stone drunkenly stumbled into a topic we have discussed long ago and many times. We wrote long ago that Trump destroyed the old corrupt Republican Party because Obama destroyed the old Democratic Party coalition of FDR/Kennedy/Bill Clinton. Obama’s stupidity opened a path for the white working class and seniors to go to the Republican Party and provide success to Donald J. Trump in this year’s GOP primaries.

But Donald J. Trump not only destroyed the old corrupt Republican Party. Trump is building a new home for seniors and the white working class. Donald J. Trump is building a massive new tower soon to be called the New Republican Party. That’s what the triple powerful speeches have been about. The stunning news for Trump haters and the ancien régime of the GOP is that Donald J. Trump is not only bringing in seniors and the white working class. Donald J. Trump is bringing in a whole lotta love from groups long abandoned by the GOP. Donald J. Trump has Make The GOP Great Again ambitions.

A Republican Workers’ Party?

Democratic incompetence has made the previously unthinkable possible: Republicans are reimagining themselves as a labor party

A horrifying article appeared in The New York Times last week, entitled “They Want Trump to Make the G.O.P. a Workers’ Party.”

In it, conservative intellectuals say they disavow Donald Trump, but also see in his rise a reason to shift their party’s focus.

The new Republicans would no longer be the party of “business and the privileged,” but the protector of a disenfranchised working class.

This was unplanned. If it happens, it’ll be a change that takes place not because conservative leaders ever wanted it, but because voters demanded it.

Basically, large numbers of working-class voters, particularly white working-class voters, long ago abandoned the Democratic Party in favor of the Republicans. [snip]

All of this soul-searching is happening now because the maniac Trump has hijacked a portion of the Republican base and is driving it off an electoral cliff. (He will clutch his own hand all the way down in the inevitable Thelma & Louise crash ending.)

Republican propaganda for decades pushed magical-thinking concepts like “trickle-down economics” that asked lower-income voters to accept present sacrifices for theoretical bigger payoffs down the road.

Until this year, Republican voters mostly bought it. But Trump was their way of telling their leaders they’re done waiting. They want their piece of the pie now, even if it means unleashing the Trumpinator to get it.

People have been conscious of the defection of working-class voters to the Republican Party for years, but this has always been dismissed as the consequence of skillfull propaganda. It’s the What’s the Matter With Kansas? creation story, i.e., that the white working class has been hoodwinked into going against its own economic interests thanks to cynical/backward appeals to race, religion and culture.

But that isn’t the whole story, as some leading Democrats are beginning to realize. Joe Biden went on Morning Joe a few weeks ago and admitted that “the Democratic Party over all hasn’t spoken enough to [working-class voters],” the “ordinary people busting their necks.” [snip]

The problem with all of this is that the Democrats went so far in the direction of advocacy for the global religion that they made something as idiotic as the rise of unabashed nativist Donald Trump possible.

Worse, Trump’s rise will give the Globalist Faith Militant an automatic argument for more time. They will decry any criticism of free trade or globalization as racist Trumpism, and Trump is such a galactic jackass that this will work, his vast inventory of offensive bleatings discrediting even the legitimate economic concerns of his voters.

But expecting American politicians to advocate first and foremost for their own constituents isn’t isolationism. It’s just rational self-interest, which neoliberals only seem to disbelieve in when it pertains to labor. Moreover we didn’t call movements to disinvest from South Africa or the Soviet Union “nativism.” We called that idealism.

Matt Bai is so stupid, so full of hate, he can’t see past his anti-Trump jingoism. If Matt Bai had an ounce of intellectual honesty he would praise Trump for telling the truth and fighting for the working class. But the left is so corrupt we cannot expect anything like honesty from their precincts.

As we wrote long ago, Donald J. Trump destroyed the Republican Party. Now Donald J. Trump builds the new GOP:

Consider, both major political parties for their own selfish reasons, seek to impose illegal immigration amnesty, common core, disaster trade policies such as TPP. Both parties are in cahoots on these issues. Donald J. Trump is against illegal immigration amnesty, common core, disaster trade policies.

The GOP establishment wants to sell the notion that the problem with Donald J. Trump is one of “tone” and bombastic “personality”. But the GOP establishment’s problem with Donald J. Trump is one of policy. That’s why there can be no peace. One must die for the other to live.

Donald J. Trump is against what both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party want to impose on this nation. Recall that many of the abominations of the Obama gangster government were birthed by Republicans. TARP, Common Core, bailouts, trade deals – were authored by George W. Bush and then co-authored by Barack Obama. ObamaCare? It used to be called RomneyCare.

Donald J. Trump is against what both the Democratic Party of Barack Obama and the Republican Party of George W. Bush have imposed on American citizens. The American people are against what the Democratic Party of Barack Obama and the Republican Party of George W. Bush have wrought. That’s why there is a New Republican Party rising.

Donald J. Trump, aided and abetted by the voters, will bring about a realignment – a New Republican Party.

The last three Donald J. Trump speeches are the building blocks of the New Republican Party. The first speech was a tough discussion on terrorism. The second speech is the one we focused on in Part I. This second speech was a direct appeal to black voters (and a clever way to appeal to white suburban voters who don’t want to be perceived as “racist”) and an attack on lobbyists and the “rigged system”. At the end of the second speech Trump summed it all up – an appeal to blacks and the poor and an attack on the rigged system that benefits the powerful political establishment:

Let’s talk about what this means for the inner cities of America. It’s time to break through the television noise, the entrenched interests. I understand that a lot of powerful people in our political system – a lot of people who’ve created our problems – will lose a lot of their contracts, and their special gigs, if African-American voters, and all minority voters, support my campaign.

It’s time to stop making the special interests rich. It’s time to make the American people rich.

I am going to Make America Wealthy Again.

The Democratic Party has run nearly every inner city in this country for 50 years, and run them into financial ruin.

They’ve ruined the schools.

They’ve driven out the jobs.

They’ve tolerated a level of crime no American should consider acceptable.

Violent crime has risen 17% in America’s 50 largest cities last year. Killings of police officers this year is up nearly 50 percent. Homicides are up more than 60% in Baltimore. They are up more than 50% in Washington, D.C.

This is the future offered by Hillary Clinton. More poverty, more crime, and more of the same. The future she offers is the most pessimistic thing I can possibly imagine.

It is time for a different future.

Here is what I am proposing.

First, on immigration. No community in this country has been hurt worse by Hillary Clinton’s immigration policies than the African-American community. Now she is proposing to print instant work permits for millions of illegal immigrants, taking jobs directly from low-income Americans. [snip]

On trade, I am going to renegotiate NAFTA, stand up to China, withdraw from the TPP, and protect every last American job.

On taxes, I am going to give a massive tax cut to every worker and small business in this country, bring thousands of new companies and millions of new jobs onto our shores – and make it very difficult for our businesses to leave.

I am going to reform our regulations so jobs stay in America, and new businesses come to America to hire workers right here in Milwaukee. Every policy my opponent has sends jobs overseas. I am going to bring trillions in new wealth back to the United States.

On education, it is time to have school choice, merit pay for teachers, and to end the tenure policies that hurt good teachers and reward bad teachers. We are going to put students and parents first.

Hillary Clinton would rather deny opportunities to millions of young African-American children, just so she can curry favor with the education bureaucracy.

I am going to allow charter schools to thrive, and help young kids get on the American ladder of success: a good education, and a good-paying job.

On crime, I am going to support more police in our communities, appoint the best prosecutors and judges in the country, pursue strong enforcement of federal laws, and I am going to break up the gangs, the cartels and criminal syndicates terrorizing our neighborhoods. To every lawbreaker hurting innocent people in this country, I say: your free reign will soon come crashing to an end.

On healthcare, we are going to get rid of Obamacare – which has caused soaring double-digit premium increases – and give choice to patients and consumers. Aetna, just today, announced they are dropping out – as are many of the major insurance companies.

On government corruption, I am going to restore honor to our government. We’ve seen the corruption of Hillary Clinton, the mass email deletions, the pay-for-play at the State Department, the profiteering, the favors given to foreign corporations and governments at your expense. We’ve seen a former Secretary of State lie to Congress about her illegal email scheme, risk innocent American lives, and bring dishonor onto our government.

In my Administration, I am going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law.

I am going to forbid senior officials from trading favors for cash by preventing them from collecting lavish speaking fees through their spouses when they serve.

I am going to ask my senior officials to sign an agreement not to accept speaking fees from corporations with a registered lobbyist for five years after leaving office, or from any entity tied to a foreign government. This is all just the beginning.

We are going to make this a government of the people once again. This is our chance to take back power from all the people who’ve taken it from you. The reason you see the establishment media lining up behind my opponent is because they are scared that you, with your vote, can take away their power and return it to your family and community.

These are tough times. But I know we can make American Greater Than Ever Before.

To do this, we are going to need a fighter in the White House.

I will be your fighter. [snip]

The only individuals she’s ever delivered for is her donors – not the people.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. My opponent asks her supporters to repeat a three-word pledge. Her pledge reads: “I’m With Her”

I choose to recite a different pledge. My pledge reads: “I’m With You – the American people.”

I will fight to ensure that every American is treated equally, protected equally, and honored equally. We will reject bigotry and hatred and oppression in all of its forms, and seek a new future of security, prosperity and opportunity – a future built on our common culture and values as one American people.

I am asking for your vote so I can be your champion in the White House. We will once again be a country of law and order, and a country of great success.

To every parent who dreams for their children, and to every child who dreams for their future, I say these words to you tonight: I’m with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you.

That’s a New Republican Party speech not an old GOP speech. The third Trump speech is of a like manner. An outstanding line from the third speech is Trump taking on both parties and allocating a share of the blame to the Republican Party. The entire speech is a summation of the two earlier speeches:

On Monday, I laid out my plan to defeat Radical Islamic Terrorism.

On Tuesday, in Wisconsin, I talked about how we are going to restore law and order to this country. [snip]

I speak the truth for all of you, and for everyone in this country who doesn’t have a voice.

I speak the truth on behalf of the factory worker who lost his or her job.

I speak the truth on behalf of the Veteran who has been denied the medical care they need – and so many are not making it. They are dying.

I speak the truth on behalf of the family living near the border that deserves to be safe in their own country but is instead living with no security at all.

Our campaign is about representing the great majority of Americans – Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Conservatives and Liberals – who read the newspaper, or turn on the TV, and don’t hear anyone speaking for them. All they hear are insiders fighting for insiders.

These are the forgotten men and women in our society, and they are angry at so much on so many levels. The poverty, the unemployment, the failing schools, the jobs moving to other countries.

I am fighting for these forgotten Americans.

Trump also addressed the world he comes from which helps to explain the departure of Paul Manafort and Corey Lewandowski as well as the new team Trump has assembled. A builder like Trump understands that you hire the crane operator only for as long as she is needed, once the job is done, the project moves forward. Manafort’s job was to appease the Republican establishment during the Republican convention and to make sure Trump secured the delegates for the convention. Manafort did his job. Now a new team was needed.

In the world of Trump you do your job. The mission comes first. The excavator arrives to dig the earth so the foundation can be laid and once that job is done the excavators leave. The iron workers arrive to build the skeletal frame then the iron workers leave. The bricklayers arrive to their job followed by the contractors who border rooms with their plasterboard, followed by the carpenters, painters, floor installers, electricians, and eventually the tenants.

Trump comes from a world of easy to see achievements:

In the world I come from, if something is broken, you fix it.

If something isn’t working, you replace it.

If a product doesn’t deliver, you make a change.

I have no patience for injustice, no tolerance for government incompetence, no sympathy for leaders who fail their citizens.

That’s why I am running: to end the decades of bitter failure and to offer the American people a new future of honesty, justice and opportunity. A future where America, and its people, always – and I mean always – come first.

Aren’t you tired of a system that gets rich at your expense?

Aren’t you tired of the same old lies and the same old broken promises? And Hillary Clinton has proven to be one of the greatest liars of all time.

Aren’t you tired of arrogant leaders who look down on you, instead of serving and protecting you?

There’s a reason the hedge fund managers, the financial lobbyists, the Wall Street investors, are throwing their money at Hillary Clinton. Because they know she will make sure the system stays rigged in their favor.

It’s the powerful protecting the powerful.

The insiders fighting for the insiders.

I am fighting for you.

Them’s fighting words. Trump is birthing a New Republican Party with appeals to all the disaffected.

Perhaps that is why Trump is rising in the polls nationally and in Pennsylvania.

One last point, the rope-a-dope. While Hillary has disappeared more or less from the campaign trail, on most days Donald Trump is active every day. Trump and Hillary both knew that the stupid Olympic games (can’t we rid ourselves of this silliness or relegate the games to every ten years?) would suck up the news cycle. Hillary effectively disappeared during this period. Trump’s strategy has been to soak up attention with campaign appearances in state after state knowing he could break on local television through the sports fog.

But Donald J. Trump’s most audacious rope-a-dope strategy, the most nerve racking strategy, has been to rely on free attention from Big Media and not spend cash this summer season. Hillary2016 by contrast has spent money hand over fist which has led to higher poll ratings. The results are classic Muhammad Ali rope-a-dope:

Trump’s campaign spending at half the rate of Clinton’s

Donald Trump doubled his campaign expenses last month yet was still spending at a far slower clip than Hillary Clinton.

New finance documents show the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign spent about $18.5 million in July. By comparison, the Democratic presidential nominee spent about $38 million.



Boxer Muhammad Ali had a boxing strategy. Knowing his opponent’s strength and fully aware of that power, Ali went to the ropes surrounding the boxing ring. There, Ali took blow after blow, brutal punch after brutal punch. Ali only jabbing back sufficiently to convince the referee that he was still able to fight so the ref would not end the fight. Ali, in his “protective stance” against the ropes encouraged the beating delivered by his opponent, who now sells hamburger grills. Ali, took to the ropes to rope himself a dope. “The plan is to cause the opponent to punch himself out and make mistakes which the boxer can then exploit in a counter-attack.” Compare Ali, to Trump:

At the time some observers thought that Ali was being horribly beaten and worried that they might see him get killed in the ring. [snip] However, far from being brutalized, Ali was relatively protected from Foreman’s blows. Norman Mailer described the advantage of Ali’s rope-a-dope this way: “Standing on one’s feet, it is painful to absorb a heavy body punch even when blocked with one’s arm. The torso, the legs and the spine take the shock. Leaning on the ropes, however, Ali can pass it along; the rope will receive the strain.”[2] Ali’s preparation for the fight, which involved toughening himself up by allowing his sparring partners to pummel him, contributed to observers’ sense that Ali was outmatched. But when Foreman became tired from the beating he was delivering, Ali took advantage and won the match.

The dumb observers were wrong. Like Ali, Donald J. Trump has been considered out for the count. But like Ali, Trump comes out punching at a time of his choosing, in accord with his strategy. The time to punch forward starts this week, just before Labor Day as attention to political campaigns increases, as the Olympic tomfoolery ends.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

Crisis After #GOPdebate 4: @RealDonaldTrump Wins On Immigration And ObamaTrade

Update: Breaking: Multiple deaths in Paris amid reports of shootings, explosion. Another Trump warning goes full Churchill.

On the same day Barack Obama said he had ISIS “contained” Paris is under attack. According to some reports including one from Shep Smith: Man in French custody told police he’s Syrian, he came with 2 others, recruited by ISIS, and that this is an ISIS mission. Other reports appear to confirm what Obama will not admit about the Islamic savages out to destroy Israel and the West even as weak European leaders and Obama praise open borders:

Yasmin, inside the Bataclan, told BFM television: “I saw two guys. The biggest one said: ‘What are you doing in Syria? You’re going to pay now.’

“Then he opened fire.

“I saw bodies falling all around me. I was shot in the foot. It was carnage. I’ve never seen so many dead people all around,” she said, sobbing.

Anyone still wonder why Trump is winning? Europe’s open borders and the American southern border have melded into the most important issue for 2016. And Trump owns that issue.

It’s going to be a very interesting Dem debate tomorrow night and we will all see if these candidates are appeasers of Islamic monsters or will fight for America.

Good thing it was not the Bible. We swore on a stack of Art of the Deal books we would not write an article about how Donald J. Trump won the 4th debate. After every debate we’ve written such articles. But here we are and the latest news confirms: Donald Trump won GOP debate #4.

OBAMATRADE

We wrote before the debate that Trump should focus on ObamaTrade as that is an issue which differentiates him from the others on the stage in a stark manner.

ObamaTrade did not dominate the debate as we thought it should have but it did lead to the second most feisty exchange between candidates. In that exchange Trump was attacked in a very clever manner by the exceedingly foolish Rand Paul.

The wackadoodle Rand Paul must have gotten one of his wiry hairs corkscrewing into his head because Randy did not understand the intelligent argument Donald J. Trump made. The moderator clearly understood Trump’s obvious claims and tried to point it out to the wackadoodle Randy even as a commercial break prevented a follow up from Trump. Subsequent events from Thursday proved Donald J. Trump correct and Rand Paul a clown.

First here is the exchange on ObamaTrade:



Notice that Donald J. Trump explicitly stated that China would come in “through the back door”. Trump denounces ObamaTrade/TPP and declares it a loss for the United States of monumental proportions. Further Trump discusses China currency manipulation and says it is the “single great weapon” China employs and which causes a great deal of job loss in this country.

Rand Paul is technically correct that China is not part of the ObamaTrade/TPP treaty. But that does not mean China cannot take advantage of the ObamaTrade/TPP treaty. Rand Paul is blind to what Trump sees as obvious. Trump is correct:

But Trump never suggested that China was part of the TPP, only that the country would “come in, as they always do, through the back door” of the agreement. And he was right.

The TPP does indeed allow China and other non-members to reap benefits from the deal without having to abide by any of its terms.

Here’s how it works: TPP and other free trade deals allow signatories to exchange goods without tariffs. But we live in a complicated world, with source materials derived from one country often traveling through a supply chain to another and completed in a third before moving to a retail market.

To cope with this, TPP adds a “rule of origin” chapter to determine whether an amalgamated good qualifies for tariff-free status. This is particularly important in Southeast Asian nations like Vietnam or Malaysia, which get a significant amount of production materials from China.

TPP says that all materials that go into a good, outside of a de minimis 10 percent, must derive from TPP countries. However, there are numerous exceptions and exemptions, along with a confusing set of calculations to determine eligibility. Through these cracks in the agreement, as Trump alluded, China can deliver goods to TPP countries without tariffs.

The article we cite above goes deep into the weeds of how China can take full advantage of ObaamTrade/TPP and should be read in full. This is not an academic argument. On Thursday, Trump’s China warnings hit, with real world consequences (via left wing Slate magazine):

Paging Donald Trump: General Motors Plans to Sell Chinese-Made Buicks in America

In a move that is almost certainly destined to become a campaign talking point for one Donald Trump, General Motors is reportedly planning to sell Chinese-manufactured Buicks in the United States. [snip]

If the move is successful, GM and its competitors could try to move more of their production to China. [snip]

There might be other reasons for American workers to worry about Chinese production. Let’s say, for instance, that China’s domestic car market cools down a bit more as the economy slows, and GM suddenly finds itself with lots of excess factory capacity there. The company could theoretically start using it to build more cars for the U.S. rather than open new plants here at home.

General Motors Co., fresh off agreeing to a new union contract that is expected to drive up its U.S. labor costs, plans to become the first major auto maker to sell Chinese-made cars in the U.S.

The nation’s No. 1 auto maker by sales early next year plans to start selling the Buick Envision, a midsize sport-utility vehicle made in Shandong province, according to people familiar with the plan. The move would add a third SUV to Buick’s U.S. lineup at a time when such crossovers are among the best selling vehicles in the market.

Initially, the company expects to import a modest number–between 30,000 and 40,000–a year. But it signals the beginning of a strategic production shift for the Detroit auto giant and a bold experiment that will be closely followed by other auto companies that have said they would eventually consider such a move.

Long among the top foreign sellers in China by volume, GM has confined production there to meeting China’s recent explosive demand. But as sales gains have moderated and Chinese tastes in cars converge with Americans’, the potential for more Chinese imports from GM and others could blossom. [snip]

In 2011, the UAW agreed to a wage contract that led to big bonuses for workers and the addition of tens of thousands of factory jobs. This year, union officials won much richer contracts that are expected to undermine those investment decisions and lead Detroit executives to look for lower-cost manufacturing options.

Add it all up and the Trump warnings on ObamaTrade/TPP so mocked by Big Media come true fast enough to make an American worker’s head spin.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

On illegal immigration Donald J. Trump had an even more successful night when taken together with subsequent events. First, the illegal immigration blast from Trump at the debate as he battled John Kasich and Jeb Bush:



After Trump squashed Kasich, Jeb Bush came in to try to rescue the hapless Ohio Republican:



Marco Glibio joined in to say something, glib, about illegal immigration. But it was Ted Cruz who then took a bat at the illegal immigration ball to hit a homerun:

Cruz: I’m Tired Of Being Told I’m Anti-Immigrant. It’s Offensive

“The Democrats are laughing because if Republicans join Democrats as the party of amnesty, we will lose,” Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz said at FOX Business’ debate on Tuesday night. “And you know, I understand that when the mainstream media covers immigration, it doesn’t often see it as an economic issue. But I can tell you for millions of Americans at home, watching this, it is a very personal economic issue. And I will say the politics of it would be very, very different if a bunch of lawyers or bankers were crossing the Rio Grande.”

“Or if a bunch of people with journalism degrees were coming over and driving down the wages in the press,” Cruz said to laughter. “Then we would see stories about the economic calamity that is befalling our nation.”

“And I will say for those of us who believe people ought to come to this country legally and we should enforce the law, we’re tired of being told, it is anti-immigrant. It’s offensive,” Cruz said to applause from the audience.

“I am the son of an immigrant who came legally from Cuba to seek the American dream.,” he said. “And we can embrace legal immigration while believing in the rule of law.



Cruz’ response was very effective. So is Cruz the big winner on immigration? Not quite. Subsequent events and political calculations give Trump the win.

After the debate two lines of opportunity have opened for Trump. The first is open warfare on illegal immigration between Ted Cruz and Marco Glibio as they battle to eliminate each other. Second, Ben Carson made a mistake by aligning himself with Kasich, Bush, Rubio on illegal immigration and attacking Donald Trump. That’s the positioning Trump needed and wanted.

First, Cruz versus Rubio on illegal immigration as they battle and weaken themselves:

“I think for voters that are looking for someone who’s consistent and true, I’m the only one on that stage who’s always opposed amnesty,” Mr. Cruz said in an interview on Fox News after the debate, underlining his opposition to the bipartisan immigration bill that Mr. Rubio helped write in the Senate.

Mr. Cruz insisted that he “led the fight against amnesty in Congress with Chuck Schumer and the establishment Republicans,” a cloaked shot at his fellow senator.

Cruz is engaged in a coordinated attack to take out Glibio:

Without calling out his Senate colleague by name, Cruz twice took subtle digs at Rubio during the Fox Business Network debate. At one point, he warned against Republicans who would turn the GOP into “the party of amnesty” — without specifically mentioning that Rubio had championed a bill that would have provided undocumented immigrants a pathway to citizenship

Our record on amnesty is clear and consistent and [Rubio’s] is not as clear and consistent,” [Cruz spokesman Rick] Tyler said. “He was for the Gang of Eight bill, then he said he wasn’t. Then he said he was for a step-by-step approach.” He continued to list the litany of alleged flip-flops before concluding of Rubio, “He essentially has the same position as the president.

Then the back and forth fight got ugly as Cruz hit Glibio and Glibio hit Cruz:

Via the Right Scoop, enjoy six minutes below of Cruz laying Rubio out this morning on Laura Ingraham’s show, replete with a scriptural reference. Not only was Rubio’s Gang of Eight bill the same old comprehensive garbage that screwed border hawks in 1986, Cruz says, but Rubio joined with the other seven members in opposing all of his amendments to strengthen the security parts of the bill. Which is true: Every time a comprehensive immigration bill comes together in the Senate, the bipartisan coalition behind it agrees to kill off amendments for fear that letting one through from either party will operate as a poison pill. If Cruz’s security amendments had been adopted, Democrats who would have otherwise supported the bill would have bailed and it would have failed. (For Democrats, stronger immigration enforcement is a dealbreaker.) Part of the deal in joining the Gang for Rubio, McCain, Graham, and Flake was systematically defeating any amendment that would upset the balance of the deal they’d struck with Schumer, even if it came from the right. So Cruz’s amendments went down the drain. And now Cruz is going to rub Rubio’s face in it. [snip]

True, Cruz doesn’t support a path to citizenship as Rubio does, but many border hawks will tell you that’s a distinction without much of a meaningful difference. The key for citizenship is giving illegals a foot in the door with legalization; once they have the right to stay here, the right to become citizens will eventually follow as Congress comes under pressure to make it happen. Cruz has also been careful not to go too far right in his broader rhetoric about immigration, knowing that he’s got a real shot at the nomination and will be hit hard on this subject in the general election. Trump has called for deporting all 11 million — but not Cruz. Scott Walker flirted with the idea of reducing legal immigration, a la Jeff Sessions — but not Cruz. Lots of conservatives talk about immigration as a cultural issue — but not Cruz, or at least, not nearly as much as he talks about it as an economic issue. (Which he did two days ago at the debate.) By focusing so much in his public comments on opposing a path to citizenship and demanding more border security, Cruz has craftily managed to convince a lot of righties, I think, that he’s coming at this issue roughly from the same place that Trump and Tom Tancredo. Not so, as some of his competitors in the field have started to notice. Rubio’s going to make sure now that a lot more people notice.



Cruz, who some in the establishment think will eventually take down Trump, is currently engaged in a battle against Glibio. Trump will have a good giggle and watch as Glibio will bloody Ted Cruz, via Youtube:

The Times asked him what we should do about the 11 million and he referred them to his amendment about work permits and green cards. Huh. Doesn’t sound like a guy who supports Trump-style mass deportation to me. But it’s hard to say because, somehow, in 2015, three years into Ted Cruz’s Senate career and many months into his presidential campaign, we still don’t have a clear idea of what he wants to do about illegal immigrants. That’s odd, no? For a guy who loves to talk and is constantly patting himself on the back for taking bold stands, he’s been strangely quiet on that topic. Go figure.

Team Cruz’s spin about his amendment is part of a little game they’re playing, I think. During the primaries, they’re going to tell conservatives that the amendment was nothing more than a ploy designed to show that Democrats care about a path to citizenship. Don’t read anything into it. Once he becomes the nominee, though, they’re going to turn around and tell undecided centrists, who will be inundated with Democratic attack ads that Cruz hates illegals, that Cruz was actually behind the amendment 100 percent. Big fan of work permits and green cards, that Sen. Cruz. And God help the border-hawk RINO like me who dares to point out next year that he talked out of both sides of his mouths on the subject, as that’ll be deemed high treason in the midst of a brutal election battle for the future of America.

Exit question via Harry Enten: Did Cruz move too soon in attacking Rubio on immigration? Rubio’s going to spend weeks now arguing that Cruz isn’t much different than he is on immigration, which would be fine except that Trump’s still at 30 percent in the polls and is seen overwhelmingly by Republicans as the candidate who’d handle immigration best. If Rubio succeeds in framing Cruz as squishy on immigration (if not quite as squishy as he himself is), it’s a golden opportunity for Trump to jump in and attack both of them as pro-amnesty RINOs. Maybe Cruz should have waited until Trump had faded to launch this war. Assuming that Trump ever does fade, that is.



No candidate is safe from Youtube. Trump can sit back and watch Glibio bloody Cruz as Cruz bloodies Glibio. But that’s not the best part of GOP debate #4’s aftershocks for Donald Trump. Consider Ben Carson.

Cruz is viewed by some as the eventual heir to demised Trump’s voters. If the battle ever comes to Cruz v. Trump, it will be a bloody Cruz courtesy of Glibio that Trump will beat up on illegal immigration. It’s even worse for Ben Carson as Ben Carson has attacked Trump on illegal immigration:

A day after the fourth GOP debate, Ben Carson took a hatchet to Donald Trump’s plan to deport millions of illegal immigrants living in the United States. [snip]

“I think they hurt Donald Trump in the long run,” Carson said, referring to the deportation plans. “I think there are enough people who know that there are others in the race that are very reasonable. I don’t think he necessarily is the representation of the Republican Party — far from it.” [snip]

“The people that are here, the 11.5 million people here, rounding them up and deporting them may sound good to some people,” Carson said. “But it’s not pragmatic.”

It also affects the farming industry, the hospitality industry. So, you know, we have to be pragmatic as a nation. There’s no reason that they should have to live in the shadows,” Carson said.

The famed neurosurgeon doubled down on comments made earlier Wednesday during a press availability in Lynchburg, Va., after his convocation speech at Liberty University, during which he argued that those illegal immigrants who have a “pristine record” should be able to stay in the U.S. as guest workers.

“If they have a pristine record, there’s no reason they can’t get registered, pay a back tax penalty and pay taxes going forward, and be able to remain here as guest workers,” said Carson, who currently sits fourth in the Examiner’s latest power rankings.

“If they want to become American citizens and they want to have voting rights, then they should have to do the same thing as anybody else,” Carson said.

Carson doesn’t seem to understand that he advocates the failed Gang of Eight bill that has so devastated Marco Glibio. Glibio was a golden boy until he went along with comprehensive amnesty reform a.k.a. comprehensive immigration reform.

For Donald Trump it is golden. Along with Trump, Ben Carson is the only candidate in the top tier of candidates. Now that Carson has attacked Trump on his presumed signature issue it is open warfare. It’s on: Carson slams Trump on deportations, calls for “pragmatic” immigration policy

This may be the first breaking point in the primaries; it’s difficult to imagine that the race will be unaffected by Carson’s move, and any significant change in direction will say volumes about the Republican primary electorate.

So what will the Republican primary electorate say? There are significant clues:

Donald Trump and Marco Rubio won Tuesday’s night primetime Republican debate, according to an overnight poll of Internet users who watched the contest, but Mr. Trump came out as the favorite among Republicans and left the best impression about his ability to serve as president.

Some 24% of debate-viewers named Mr. Trump and 23% picked Mr. Rubio as the winner of the eight-candidate event, which was sponsored by the Wall Street Journal and Fox Business News. Ted Cruz and Ben Carson followed, with 13% declaring each to have won.

Mr. Trump’s lead in the Internet survey was larger among debate-watchers who said they’d vote in a Republican primary.

Among those GOP voters, Mr. Trump was declared the winner by 28%, with 23% naming Mr. Rubio. Mr. Cruz followed, with 16%, while Mr. Carson had 14%.

That’s a kinda sorta scientific poll. But it’s significance pales when compared to a scientific YouGov poll on immigration:

Republican businessman Donald Trump and his statements opposing immigration have the support of Republicans – in the latest Economist/YouGov Poll Trump is viewed as the GOP candidate Republicans trust most to handle immigration – and by an extremely wide margin. Trump’s margin on this issue has only increased since the summer.

Half of Republicans view Trump as the candidate who can best handle immigration, more than four times the percentage who name Florida Senator Marco Rubio, the son of immigrants, who is in second place, far behind Trump. Only 5% believe former Florida Governor Jeb Bush would do the best job on immigration.

Perhaps that should not be a surprise. As they did last summer, Republicans overwhelmingly agree with the statement Trump made then: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re brings crime. They’re rapists.” In the poll question, Trump’s name was not associated with the statement. Republicans overwhelmingly disagree with Bush’s statement that was made about the same time: “Yes, illegal immigrants broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love, it’s an act of commitment to your family…” [snip]

Republicans are far more likely than the rest of the public to view illegal immigration as a very serious problem for the country (70% of Republicans say it is, compared with 46% overall). And many also believe illegal immigrants are more likely than others to commit violent crimes (49% of Republicans versus 29% overall). 57% of Republicans believe immigration from Mexico has a negative impact on the U.S. economy; 37% of all adults do.

That poll and the realization that Donald Trump is far from a summer fling is why the Washington Post published an article about the “panic” in the GOP establishment. The GOP establishment is in such a panic over the collapse of Jeb Bush and the failure of the “fix” for JeBush that now then consider the exhumation of Mitt Romney. That’s almost as funny as the Obama plan to counter Hillary Clinton with Joe Biden.

The GOP establishment is in a crisis. The fix for JeBush failed. Glibio’s only hope is mass amnesia on illegal immigration if he is to become the JeBushito candidate. Meanwhile Trump won’t go away and the Republican primary electorate insists on a wall built Trump strong. And Ben Carson is increasingly a halfway house to Trump and about to implode on the same issue that destroyed Glibio and JeBush. And it’s not only Republican voters that see Trump as the strongest Republican nominee. Democratic primary voters believe Trump is the most difficult to beat:

But which Republican presidential candidate would be the most challenging for the Democratic nominee? At this point, Democratic primary voters say it’s Donald Trump: 31 percent say he would be the most difficult Republican for a Democratic nominee to beat. Ben Carson (15 percent) is a distant second, followed by Marco Rubio (13 percent) and Jeb Bush (13 percent).

Both Clinton and Sanders supporters view Trump as the Republican that poses the most difficult challenge.

The Democratic Party debate will be on Saturday night and Thanksgiving looms nearer and nearer. The Summer of Trump seems never to end. After the 4th GOP debate Trump is stronger than ever and positioned to beat the rest of the primary field.

#GOPDebate 4: The Issue For @RealDonaldTrump Should Be ObamaTrade

Update: Will this be the The “everybody get Rubio” debate? The last date with Jeb debate? The get Ben Carson debate? Or as we advise the Donald Trump attacks ObamaTrade debate? Trump today released his trade plan so maybe we get our wish. It’s debate night so get ready for our snark in the comments.

The fourth GOP debate is the big one. The first debate was important because it was the opportunity for the GOP establishment to stop Donald J. Trump from getting on the stage. Once Trump got on the stage with senators and governors to debate, his biggest weakness (not considered a serious candidate) would be overcome. Trump triumphed.

The second debate was important because it was the last chance for the GOP establishment to finish off Donald J. Trump and bring back Bush. Trump triumphed.

The third debate turned into a mess due to Big Media moderators thinking they are the stars, not the candidates. Because the status quo was maintained, Trump triumphed.

The fourth GOP debate is the big one. It should be the moment when Trump crushes the opposition.

The fourth GOP debate will have the best moderators possible:

“My goal is to make myself invisible,” Cavuto, one of three moderators for the prime-time debate, said in an interview last week. “That I’m not the issue. … That we’re not the issue. The answers to what we’re raising become the issue.”

Bartiromo sounded a similar note: “After that [CNBC] debate, I realized, I knew my marching orders. It was clearer than ever what my marching orders are, and that is to help the viewer, help the voter better understand what each candidate’s plan is; is it a realistic plan, can it work and how is it different from the next guy or gal, and that’s what I plan to focus on.” [snip]

“This stuff in and of itself is riveting. People are tuning in for a reason. They’re engaged in this process, so you don’t have to sell it like some sort of TV drama; it writes itself,” Cavuto said. “So we should just make sure we’re being informative and people feel informed, and we’ll let chips fall where they may.”

And, in a veiled reference to the attacks on CNBC, he added, “Don’t trivialize this, don’t ‘gotcha’ this, don’t make this into something it’s not. It’s a debate on economic issues, it’s not ‘Access Hollywood.’”

Maria Bartoromo, and Neil Cavuto are knowledgeable financial types who draw out information from those they interview. On their financial shows the questions are focused and the answers allowed to be heard.

It’s not just the good moderators. Two additional process changes make the fourth GOP debate potentially the best. The first change is that there will only be eight candidates on the stage. The second change is that the candidates will have 90 seconds to respond.

Add to less candidates, best moderators, more time to respond to questions, the topic of the debate, and we have a potential best debate of the 2016 season.

Donald J. Trump should do very well and Trumpmania will continue. The economy is exactly the topic Trump should do well in. Trump has a detailed tax plan so if he can expound on that he will do well.

Trump also can turn every question on the economy into attacks against Obama and illegal immigration amnesty. Candidates such as Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush will have to defend themselves on the question of illegal immigration amnesty. Dr. Ben Carson has a lot to answer for on this issue as well. Ben Carson should also be questioned about his support for statehood for the bankrupt Puerto Rico.

Dr. Ben Carson has a lot of question to answer in the fourth debate. We don’t mean questions raised about his past dubious representations nor possible support of Obama and Al Sharpton which we consider sideshows.

Where Donald J. Trump can crush Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, if necessary Ted Cruz (although Cruz has backtracked on TPP), Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina, is on ObamaTrade:

“I think Trump’s strength in the Republican primary is in significant part due to his challenging of trade and the fact that he says we haven’t defended American interests effectively,” said Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), whose conservative views on trade and immigration align with those of the billionaire mogul.

On ObamaTrade, Donald J. Trump stands alone:

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said Friday that he supports the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement negotiated by the White House – aligning himself more with the GOP’s establishment wing than with the social conservatives who have powered his campaign.

Mr. Carson’s backing of the 12-nation Pacific trade deal places him at odds with Donald Trump, his chief rival for support among anti-establishment Republicans. Mr. Carson had expressed skepticism about the TPP, saying in a June interview with the Huffington Post that he would not give President Barack Obama “fast-track” authority to negotiate the deal.

Now, a day after the White House posted the text of the TPP deal online, Mr. Carson’s campaign said Friday that he supports the final product.

Mr. Carson, spokesman Doug Watts said, “believes the agreement does help to level the playing field in key markets and is important to improve our ties to trading partners in Asia as a counterbalance to China’s influence in the region.” Mr. Watts said Mr. Carson is “now inclined to support TPP, with reservations.”

The fourth GOP debate will be the last ditch attempt for a bunch of candidates to keep noses above water. Jeb Bush needs a blisteringly brilliant performance to avoid his fate as a Thanksgiving turkey. Rand Paul? Who cares? Paul will soon be begging for votes in Kentucky to keep his senate seat. Carly Fiorina? She has no rationale for running other than her silly presumption that Hillary Clinton is afraid of her. Kasich? If he dares to speak after the Trump thumping in the last debate we will be surprised – Kasich is going the way of Lehman Brothers.

The only candidates of significance left are Trump, Rubio, Carson, and Cruz. Now that he has joined with Trump in opposition to ObamaTrade, Cruz should survive the fourth debate. But Rubio and Carson? – two peas in a pod. Trump will have them for lunch.

At the fourth GOP debate, ObamaTrade should be front and center as the issue that separates the real candidates from the Obama collaborators.

Death-throes: #Hillary2016 Finally Joins @RealDonaldTrump Against TPP ObamaTrade Because of #BernieSanders And #DraftBiden

It’s the right decision. But so badly executed it is more of an execution.

Hillary Clinton today declared she is against ObamaTrade.



It is almost as if top level insiders at Hillary2016 plot to destroy Hillary and Hillary2016. Bottom line: Hillary’s late, week before the debate move, won’t help her with the Bernie Sanders’ kooks, hurts her with the Biden “centrist” crowd, and the timing aids Barack Obama’s eventually knife in the back treachery against her.

We’ve repeatedly expressed our suspicions that the Obama henchmen Hillary has employed for her campaign are out to protect and help Obama at the expense of Hillary’s fortunes. At first glance it would appear that Hillary declaring herself against ObamaTrade runs counter to our doubts about the Obama lovers in Hillary’s campaign. But today’s clumsy declaration, so badly timed it screams “scaredy cat inauthenticity” in sirens, fortifies our thesis.

Think about it. For months we heard mush from Hillary2016 on ObamaTrade. Bernie Sanders attacked TPP/ObamaTrade and fast track authority. Donald Trump attacked ObamaTrade and fast track authority. Elizabeth Warren, Kween of the Kooks, attacked ObamaTrade and fast track authority. From Hillary there was mush on ObamaTrade and mush on fast track authority.

Month after month Hillary Clinton could have joined in and attacked ObamaTrade. But from Hillary Clinton there was only the Cavern of Silence. Imagine the strength of the coalition against ObamaTrade and fast track authority if Hillary Clinton joined in. Hillary Clinton arm in arm with Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, Kook Kween Elizabeth Warren, and many writers/leaders on the left and the right would have been a powerful gravitational force more than sufficient to squash Barack Obama and ObamaTrade. But there was no Hillary against ObamaTrade until now.

So if we are right and there are top level Obama protectors in Hillary2016 more interested in helping Obama than helping Hillary why would they allow Hillary to speak out against ObamaTrade now? Answer: Mourning Joe Biden’s pending announcement that he is in.

Mourning Joe Biden will run to protect ObamaTrade. There will soon be in Joe Biden a candidate to champion ObamaTrade. With Hillary and Bernie, along with the others running for the nomination, dividing amongst themselves the votes of those against ObamaTrade, Mourning Joe Biden will be positioned as the sole defender of ObamaTrade.

Barack Obama would have been hurt if Hillary, Trump, Sanders, Warren, and the rest attacked ObamaTrade with only losers like John Boner firm for ObamaTrade. But with Mourning Joe Biden lined up with Obama and ObamaTrade, the loser in this fight will be dumbass Hillary Clinton left holding the feces filled bag. Hillary’s opposition to ObamaTrade only helps Obama by providing him with an excuse to dump on Hillary and support “loyal” drunk Joe Biden.

Is there anyone loyal to Hillary in Hillary2016 that also has a brain????

In 2013 we strongly advised Hillary Clinton to attack Barack Obama. We understood that such an attack would have negative consequences as the Obama kooks would line up against Hillary. But we also understood that the Obama kooks would line up against Hillary no matter what she said or did. The Obama Kooks hate Hillary.

The time for Hillary to come out against ObamaTrade was during the fast track debate. But from Hillary there was only mush. Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump hit hard against fast track. Mush from Hillary. Hillary said Obama should listen to Pelosi but Hillary never said “Vote NO on fast track.”

Hillary Clinton was always going to have to do what we advised – not because we are the Almighty able to strike down those who do not obey our will. Hillary Clinton was always going to have to do what we advised because in order to win the 2016 election the winning candidate will have to be for CHANGE because the voters understand the country is headed down the wrong track.

Hillary had to come out against ObamaTrade. Hillary should have come out against ObamaTrade long ago, not the week before the first debate. Instead Hillary chose to announce her opposition to ObamaTrade at the worst possible time for her as Mourning Joe Biden prepares to announce perhaps as early as this weekend.

If Hillary had announced opposition to ObamaTrade at a time when it was only Bernie Sanders to worry about she would have been seen as weak against Sanders. That would have hurt only a little because Sanders is not seen as a real threat to her. Also Hillary would have joined a phalanx of united opposition to ObamaTrade. But now, Hillary’s timing only serves Mourning Joe’s purposes and Obama.

Hillary2016’s entire strategy has failed. Hillary2016 has done the opposite of what we advised. We advised she begin her campaign in the states that gave her the greatest margins of victory against Barack Obama. That was so that Hillary2016 could recapture the 2008 magic and bring in the white working class. Instead Hillary2016 has done the opposite of what we suggested and now Bernie Sanders is wooing/winning her voters:

The white working class voters should have been the bedrock of Hillary2016. Instead, Hillary2016 tried to recreate the situation comedy demographics of the losing Obama coalition. The result is failure:

West Virginia has rejected the Obama-era Democratic Party more dramatically than any other state outside the South, with Appalachian counties that voted for Michael Dukakis and Walter Mondale turning blood red over the past eight years. But if you think it’s in places like this where the insurgent Sanders campaign faces its most formidable test, here’s what he thinks: It is also one of his greatest opportunities.

The Vermont socialist believes that white, working-class voters — the sort of people Obama once self-defeatingly said “cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them” — are just one honest argument away from coming back.

“We have millions of working-class people who are voting for Republican candidates whose views are diametrically opposite to what voters want,” Sanders said in an interview. “How many think it’s a great idea that we have trade policies that lead to plants in West Virginia being shut down? How many think there should be massive cuts in Pell grants or in Social Security? In my opinion, not too many people.”

This state, one of the last to vote in the 2016 primary race, is supposed to be Clinton country. Seven years ago, in the 2008 primary, West Virginia Democrats gave Clinton a landslide victory over Obama. She won 69 percent of the white vote and did even better with voters who lacked a college education. A Democrat who improved a few points on Obama’s 39 percent of the national white vote in the 2012 general election would stroll into the White House.

Why Won’t GOP Attack Obama Like GOP Attacks @RealDonaldTrump? – PLUS: Loser Rick Perry And Loser Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney and Team Romney’s new mission: Stop Trump. Not “Stop Obama.” “Stop Trump!” Loser Mitt Romney needs to buy a clue.

This 9/11 Republicans helped pass Barack Obama’s pro-Iran anti-Israel, anti-Christian, anti-freedom, anti-American treacheries while pretending to be opposed to those policies. It was the Republican leadership that passed Barack Obama’s low wage society ObamaTrade treacheries too. Public words in opposition to Barack Obama, while helping Obama, is as we wrote, the GOP’s greatest lie:

In 2008 John McCain fluffed Obama’s pillows so that Big Media would not call the former POW a racist. In 2012 Mitt Romney played dog-on-the-roof for Obama. Romney praised Obama as a nice guy while Barack Obama smeared him with mud from the Chicago stockyards. Instead of someone who would attack Obama with verve, Romney chose pretty blue eyes Paul Ryan. Now Paul Ryan is at it again.

Paul Ryan is doing everything he can to help Barack Obama.

John McCain and Mitt Romney as presidential candidates said Barack Obama was “nice” even as Obama trashed them. This praise of Obama continues even though Obama calls Republicans in opposition to his policies “terrorists”.

In Age of Fake “denunciations” of Barack Obama the Republican establishment issues bland statements of disappointment even as Obama trashes the Constitution and race-baits for political profit. But for Donald Trump all the Republican establishment expresses is nasty evil bile.

Today loser Rick Perry was forced to quit. Rick Perry called Trump a “cancer” but has never said anything like that about Barack Obama. As he announced his loser status today, Rick Perry seemingly denounced Trump for anti-Hispanic statements Trump never said nor implies.

Loser Rick Perry was forced to quit today because his views are opposed to the views of the voters. Rick Perry is for illegal immigration amnesty as are almost all, if not all, the Republican candidates except Donald Trump.

Rick Perry and the Republican establishment are angry at Donald Trump because Trump has exposed their game. That’s why we hear from Rick Perry that Trump is a “cancer.” Rick Perry has never used language like this to denounce Barack Obama:

We’ve never heard Rick Perry denounce Obama with such fury and anger, have you? Then there is Bobby Jindal who denounced Trump in harsh words never used by him to attack Barack Obama:

You may have recently seen that after Trump said the Bible is his favorite book, he couldn’t name a single Bible verse or passage that meant something to him. And we all know why, because it’s all just a show, and he hasn’t ever read the Bible. But you know why he hasn’t read the Bible? Because he’s not in it. [snip]

The whole thing is set up for us to win – and yet we are flirting with nominating a non-serious, unstable, substance-free narcissist. [snip]

We can win right now, or we can be the biggest fools of all time and put our faith not in our principles, but in one egomaniacal madman who has no principles.

That describes Barack Obama well, but Bobby Jindal does not use those words to oppose treacherous Obama. No, like a good establishment Republican Bobby Jindal attacks Donald Trump while doing and saying little of consequence to oppose Barack Obama.

The latest pawn in the attack Trump ploy is none other than Dr. Ben Carson. Like Perry, Jindal, Graham, and the rest, Carson is but a pawn used by the GOP establishment to attack Trump in order to benefit JeBush. Pat Buchanan describes the chess play:

Former presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan said Friday the Republican establishment is hoping that retired neurosurgeon Carson will come to its rescue and open “the door for Jeb and Rubio” by taking out Donald Trump.

“That’s why you’ll see a promotion of a Carson-Trump fight,” said Buchanan, who appeared on “The Laura Ingraham Show.” “This is a contract hit, an assigned hit, almost.” [snip]

Buchanan said the same dynamic as the pumped-up Carson-Trump fight was at work when Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, mired near the bottom of the polls in the GOP race, attacked Trump on Thursday as “shallow,” “narcissistic” and lacking substance. [snip]

The neo-cons, the National Review folks, are terrified of the idea of Trump, who they don’t have any hooks in whatsoever, winning this nomination.

The next pawn called to duty will be Fiorina at the debate or maybe even John Kasich. Fiorina will get her face time at the CNN debate but not much else. Fake outrage by her fans and Big Media Trump haters can only get you so far.

As to Kasich, he will sink soon as well, especially since his current low standing is due only to millions of dollars spent in advertising to bolster him. But, as JeBush has discovered, millions of dollars can only keep your nose above water for so long, then you will sink. Soon the pawns will all lay dead on the chess table and only the despised and deposed JeBush will remain to Stop Trump.

The Republican nomination will go either to JeBush or Donald Trump. There is no other. The Republican nomination fight has been fixed. The nomination was fixed for JeBush. But now Trump threatens that fixed phony wrestling match and he is the only one that can beat Bush.

All the Republican establishment wants is to get somebody to get rid of Donald J. Trump so that JeBush can get nominated. The Republican establishment understands that JeBush is not up to the job of taking out Trump, so the pawns – Carson, Fiorina- are called upon to do the job that the other pawns – Graham, Walker, Perry, Jindal, Christie, Pataki, etc. – failed to accomplish.

The Republican establishment sees their very existence threatened by Donald J. Trump. That’s why the Republican establishment is so angry and will say things about Trump they have never said about Barack H. Obama.

Donald Trump increasingly looks to win the Republican nomination for president. So the Republican establishment is desperate. Donald Trump opponents are in freefall. Consider the news from Texas on the day Rick Perry became an official loser:

No tickets left for Trump’s Dallas rally

There are no more tickets available for GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s rally in Dallas on Monday, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The American Airlines Center, the event’s venue, has a capacity of about 20,000.

The arena also plays host to the Dallas Mavericks, a basketball team owned by Mark Cuban, who has spoken in support of Trump.

Cuban said he had no doubt Trump would “kill it” at the Dallas rally, saying “there is nothing more Texan than being confident and entrepreneurial.”

The tech billionaire has also said he would consider being Trump’s vice president if asked.

We don’t know whether it was his loser lack of invitation to next week’s debate or the idea of Trump’s big rally in Dallas, Texas that prompted Rick Perry to abandoned his silly quest. Whatever the reason Rick Perry now has the time to attend the Trump rally.

It is to be hoped that Rick Perry will invite Mitt Romney, John McCain, and the other losers (Fiorina, Carson, etc.) to Trump’s rally on Monday. Maybe then the GOP losers will denounce Barack Obama with the same vehemence with which they denounce Trump.
