Yup, the country had to hit Ba-rock Bottom if it was ever to recover from the leftist totalitarian plans of “managed decline” and once again strive with a real chance of success to Make America Great Again.
Likewise, we also needed to get corrupt Robert Mueller appointed as the protector of the swamp if we are ever to drain the swamp. Upon the appointment of Robert Mueller as special counsel, “We celebrated because the more Swamp Deep State players come forth to attack President Trump openly, not from the shadows, the easier it will be to take down the Deep State “resistance” to a duly elected President.” Yup, we needed Robert Mueller to come from behind the tapestry so that we could confront the enemy face-to-face.
That enemy is now coming sharply into focus. The Obama corruptions we warned about are slowly exposed. The corrupt Iran deal is now seen as a means for Obama to permit Hezbollah drug dealing in America. The filthy dossier paid for by the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign then funneled to the F.B.I., or perhaps also paid for by the F.B.I. and churned about by John McCain and his aide David Kramer – that too is all getting exposed. It’s MAGAnificient!!! Thanks David Nunes!!!!
We got a lot of what we wanted in MAGAnificent 2017 too. It wasn’t all just misery. It wasn’t just the misery of the first 21 days of Obama followed by the appointment of Robert Mueller to try to take down the greatest enemy of the swamp the Republic has ever produced. 2017 was MAGAnificent in many ways.
It wasn’t just the terrific Trump tax triumph and the implications of the plan we wrote about. There were a lot of MAGAnificient triumphs in 2017. Consider some of the great Trump triumphs that have been given little attention.
There are the amazing Trumpian happenings in the center of the Muslim world, particularly in Saudi Arabia with it’s handover of power to a much younger leader and one who might be serious about killing Muslim extremists.
On policy, there was all the crazy talk that President Trump had made an agreement with Nancy Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck on DACA which ensured amnesty for illegal aliens was on the way. Then reality hit and the DACA plan emerged which will never be accepted by Obama Dimocrats. The “plan” with its 70 conditions, such as a border wall, will be the art of the deal starting point.
On politics, who could have dreamed that the Obama Dimocrats would have yet another senate seat to defend in MAGAnificient 2018 now that Al Frankengroper will resign? And just think, the Hollywood left will not be able to campaign for the forlorn Obama Dimocrat candidates because so many of them, yea the entire industry of “progressive entertainers” have been Harvey Weinsteined.
The Trump GOP will have less than 10 seats to defend in MAGAnificient 2018. The Obama Dimocrats are already forced to defend 25 seats, mostly in “red” states. So say “good-bye” to Joe Manchin who is now the sole Obama Dimocrat elected to a statewide seat in West Virginia. Say good-bye as well to all the Obama Dimocrats who persist to resist President Trump. We’ve already bid adieu, or rather kicked down the stairs, the NeverTrumpers on the GOP side like Bob Corker and Jeffy Flake. MAGAnificent!!!
What about Rocket Man? In 2017 China was exposed as a duplicitous enabler of North Korea in pictures of China breaking the sanctions against Rocket Man by selling oil despite the U.N. votes and the promises made to America and the world. President Trump has the pictures and has used them in the same way President Kennedy used his pictures of Soviet missiles in Cuba. MAGAnificent!!!!
In MAGAnificent 2018 North Korea’s Rocket Man will see rockets “made in America” hit him between the eyes.
ISIS? What ISIS? The ISIS Obama said would take generations to destroy has been sent packing and running for the caves by President Donald J. Trump and he has not been in office a full year yet.
The U.N.? President Trump schlonged them and is cutting off the funding by hundreds of millions – to start with. N.A.T.O. has been given orders to have member states pay their dues and they are starting to cough up the cash. Iran? Wait until 2018 to see Iran get the Iran deal pulled. Paris Treaty? Gone girl. TPP? Dead and buried. NAFTA? On life support about to have the plug pulled.
Regulations cut, Supreme Court and court system, immigration executive orders, the stock market, the economy… MAGAnificent. MAGAnificent.
All signs are that business is looking really good for next year, only to be helped further by our Tax Cut Bill. Will be a great year for Companies and JOBS! Stock Market is poised for another year of SUCCESS!
Update: Greatest President Donald J. Trump speech ever? It was a great speech. So great it does not require much analysis. It was clear, direct. No ambiguity. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton:
“This was the best speech of the Trump presidency, in my view,” Bolton said. “I think he was as clear and direct as it’s possible to be.”
Trump said the U.S. would destroy North Korea if forced to defend itself or its allies; Bolton said that was a memorable line.
“I think it’s safe to say, in the entire history of the United Nations, there has never been a more straightforward criticism of the behavior, the unacceptable behavior of other member states,” Bolton said.
In addition, he said Trump’s critiques of the nuclear deal revealed the White House would not tolerate “half-measures and compromises” that allowed Iran and North Korea to progress to the verge of having deliverable nuclear weapons.
He also praised Trump’s line, which was met with near silence at first, that the collapsing regime in Venezuela was an example of socialism being successfully implemented.
“There are a lot of people in the UN. who have never heard anything like that from an American president,” Bolton said. “I think this was an outstanding speech, and I think it will serve the president very well.”
Some critics will ask “Should President Trump have attacked North Korea or given this speech?” President Trump was right to give the speech. Why? Because, as we stated in our short initial article (below), the American armed forces must first stockpile weapons before any attack on North Korea.
The need to stockpile weapons before an attack on North Korea holds back President Trump’s strong hand. The President must first make sure that before any attack on North Korea there are plenty of Tomahawk missiles and MOAB bombs in the arsenal even after the attack. After the use of a MOAB bomb in Afghanistan the U.S. arsenal held only about a dozen MOAB bombs. MOAB bombs are needed to destroy tunnel infrastructures which is why they are sometimes referred to as bunker buster bombs. A dozen of these bombs won’t be enough before an attack on North Korea.
Likewise, the need for Tomahawk missiles. An attack on North Korea will require many hundreds of Tomahawk missiles.
The reason why stockpiling of weapons is so important is because President Trump understands that an attack on North Korea might lead the Persian Empire of Terror (a.k.a. Iran) to believe that the United States is otherwise preoccupied in Asia and therefore the time ripe for the Persian Empire of Terror to make moves. All countries must understand that the United States can attack North Korea yet still maintain enough weaponry to defeat other opponents. Peace through strength.
Other than understanding why President Trump gave North Korea this one last chance to avoid an overwhelming fire and fury attack by the United States, not much analysis of the clear and direct President Trump speech to the United Nations is needed.
Our comments section will include highlights of the Trump speech (Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech too) and the transcript when available.
The leader of the Free World will address the United Nations today. In the same way tough leadership has forced Republican leadership in congress to get something done, finally, the America First president will do what has to be done to get his agenda accomplished.
President Trump has been a harsh critic of the United Nations for many decades. Today, as President, Trump will be an avenging angel demanding CHANGE from that corrupt organization. North Korea has its last chance today and will sit on the front row. After today all that stops war is the time requirements of stockpiling needed weapons.
Update: Power narrative. The great President Donald J. Trump is building a power narrative and taking little President of France Macron along. Think about all the roads that led to today. The American revolution in 1776 inspires the French revolution in 1789 which begins with the attack on the infamous imperial prison The Bastille. The Bastille is brought down by French revolutionaries so every year on July 14 the French commemorate Bastille Day the way we remember 1776.
Today is also the centennial marker for the day the United States entered “the great war” World War I. World War I was the most brutal war America has been in topping even the horror of the Civil War. World War I was really World War Part I and was continued by World War Part II. So there is President Donald J. Trump in Paris watching as for the first time ever American troops lead the Bastille Day parade.
Narrative building by President Donald J. Trump does not end there. As he did in Warsaw (see the main article below) President Donald J. Trump is in Paris at the biggest event in France on the day that marks the anniversary of the Muslim terror attack on Nice.
In one stunning historic moment President Donald J. Trump weaves together the historic paths America and the French people have traveled. Independence Day/Bastille Day. World War I/World War II. 9/11 Muslim Terror attacks/7-14 Nice Muslim Terror attacks. As he wove a narrative in Warsaw which echoed FDR and JFK, President Donald J. Trump wove a vast historic landscape in France today.
And the Trump triumph does not end there. With this visit President Donald J. Trump helps little French President Emmanuel Macron grow in stature. How? Well, the invitation to President Donald J. Trump from President Macron is a direct challenge to the German leadership of Europe and to the decayed Angela Merkel.
And still it does not end there. The fact that the French still assert their nationalist pride in the face of German government hostility to President Donald J. Trump brings to the fore the hopeless task the European Union’s attempt to end nationalism on the continent faces. Macron’s embrace of President Donald J. Trump is a slap in the face (dare we say “schlonging”) to Merkel and an assertion of leadership by the untested, untried, apprentice Macron.
A grateful Macron loves hisself some Trump (and once again Melania does America proud):
Sorry Big Media but President Donald J. Trump is très smart and knows how to woo other leaders without bowing to them.
We’ve been here before. A destructive regime in Asia which threatens world-wide peace, a religious/political force for evil seemingly in ascendance, a vast Eurasian power willing and able to play off competing powers to its own advantage, a central European power aided and abetted by other European powers bent on a twisted vision of world organization.
In the 1930s it was the Japanese Empire set on war, a pagan leftist cult in Germany which categorized humanity into either “Supermen” or “sub-human”, the Soviet Union which aligned itself via a treaty with the Nazi cult only to later align itself with the Allied Powers after the treaty opened the door to a deep invasion, it was also Germany in the 30s that dreamed of a thousand year Reich which found allies in states such as Italy.
In 2017 it is North Korea in Asia armed with nuclear bombs which threatens, political Islam which terrorizes a cowering world afraid they will soon be overwhelmed so they attempt appeasement of the religious cult, Russia playing off of weakness – aligning itself with political Islam and threatening Europe with cutoff of energy supplies in order to regain its lost hegemonic powers, and once again in central Europe there is Germany with it’s dreams of a Europe under it’s economic heel prepared to align itself with Islam and thereby destroy Europe once again.
In the 1930s the long mocked Winston Churchill came to the rescue of “Christian civilization” against the pagans and destructive forces whether in Asia, Africa, or Europe.
In 2017 it is the often mocked Donald J. Trump who is prepared to fight for the West.
Five-star American General Dwight David Eisenhower wrote Crusade In Europe – his memoirs of the liberation of Europe. Eisenhower’s Crusade was a military one with many political/economic/geographic considerations. For President Trump his Crusade In Europe is also part of a world-wide war that the left refuses to acknowledge.
In the 1930s many in the left also refused to acknowledge reality. Indeed, many in the right and the center refused to acknowledge reality. It took Pearl Harbor to shake the great American giant awake. In Europe the danger became reality much earlier – because Great Britain and the French controlled territories in the East and Africa and the threats from the East could not be ignored and the vulnerabilities in Africa were obvious to hungry invaders. But it was Poland that shook the continent awake. It was after Poland was attacked, invaded, devoured, that the world-wide war began.
This past week President Donald J. Trump went to Poland.
In a trumpet call of clarity President Donald J. Trump echoed President Kennedy who in 1963 spoke from Berlin:
There are many people in the world who really don’t understand, or say they don’t, what is the great issue between the free world and the Communist world. Let them come to Berlin. There are some who say that communism is the wave of the future. Let them come to Berlin. And there are some who say in Europe and elsewhere we can work with the Communists. Let them come to Berlin. And there are even a few who say that it is true that communism is an evil system, but it permits us to make economic progress. Lass’sie nach Berlin kommen. Let them come to Berlin.
“If there is anyone who still wonders why this war is being fought, let him look to Norway. If there is anyone who has any delusions that this war could have been averted, let him look to Norway; and if there is anyone who doubts the democratic will to win, again I say, let him look to Norway.”
It is a profound honor to stand in this city, by this monument to the Warsaw Uprising, and to address the Polish nation that so many generations have dreamed of: a Poland that is safe, strong, and free. (Applause.) [snip]
We are also pleased that former President Lech Walesa, so famous for leading the Solidarity Movement, has joined us today, also. (Applause.) [snip]
To the citizens of this great region, America is eager to expand our partnership with you. We welcome stronger ties of trade and commerce as you grow your economies. And we are committed to securing your access to alternate sources of energy, so Poland and its neighbors are never again held hostage to a single supplier of energy. (Applause.) [snip]
Poland is the geographic heart of Europe, but more importantly, in the Polish people, we see the soul of Europe. Your nation is great because your spirit is great and your spirit is strong. (Applause.)
For two centuries, Poland suffered constant and brutal attacks. But while Poland could be invaded and occupied, and its borders even erased from the map, it could never be erased from history or from your hearts. In those dark days, you have lost your land but you never lost your pride. (Applause.)
So it is with true admiration that I can say today, that from the farms and villages of your countryside to the cathedrals and squares of your great cities, Poland lives, Poland prospers, and Poland prevails. (Applause.)
Despite every effort to transform you, oppress you, or destroy you, you endured and overcame. [snip]
For America’s part, we have never given up on freedom and independence as the right and destiny of the Polish people, and we never, ever will. (Applause.) [snip]
And so I am here today not just to visit an old ally, but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilization. (Applause.) The story of Poland is the story of a people who have never lost hope, who have never been broken, and who have never, ever forgotten who they are. (Applause)
AUDIENCE: Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you so much. Such a great honor. This is a nation more than one thousand years old. Your borders were erased for more than a century and only restored just one century ago.
In 1920, in the Miracle of Vistula, Poland stopped the Soviet army bent on European conquest. (Applause.) Then, 19 years later in 1939, you were invaded yet again, this time by Nazi Germany from the west and the Soviet Union from the east. That’s trouble. That’s tough.
Under a double occupation the Polish people endured evils beyond description: the Katyn forest massacre, the occupations, the Holocaust, the Warsaw Ghetto and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the destruction of this beautiful capital city, and the deaths of nearly one in five Polish people. A vibrant Jewish population — the largest in Europe — was reduced to almost nothing after the Nazis systematically murdered millions of Poland’s Jewish citizens, along with countless others, during that brutal occupation.
In the summer of 1944, the Nazi and Soviet armies were preparing for a terrible and bloody battle right here in Warsaw. Amid that hell on earth, the citizens of Poland rose up to defend their homeland. I am deeply honored to be joined on stage today by veterans and heroes of the Warsaw Uprising. (Applause.) [snip]
This monument reminds us that more than 150,000 Poles died during that desperate struggle to overthrow oppression.
From the other side of the river, the Soviet armed forces stopped and waited. They watched as the Nazis ruthlessly destroyed the city, viciously murdering men, women, and children. They tried to destroy this nation forever by shattering its will to survive.
But there is a courage and a strength deep in the Polish character that no one could destroy. The Polish martyr, Bishop Michael Kozal, said it well: “More horrifying than a defeat of arms is a collapse of the human spirit.”
Through four decades of communist rule, Poland and the other captive nations of Europe endured a brutal campaign to demolish freedom, your faith, your laws, your history, your identity — indeed the very essence of your culture and your humanity. Yet, through it all, you never lost that spirit. (Applause.) Your oppressors tried to break you, but Poland could not be broken. (Applause.)
And when the day came on June 2nd, 1979, and one million Poles gathered around Victory Square for their very first mass with their Polish Pope, that day, every communist in Warsaw must have known that their oppressive system would soon come crashing down. (Applause.) They must have known it at the exact moment during Pope John Paul II’s sermon when a million Polish men, women, and children suddenly raised their voices in a single prayer. A million Polish people did not ask for wealth. They did not ask for privilege. Instead, one million Poles sang three simple words: “We Want God.” (Applause.)
In those words, the Polish people recalled the promise of a better future. They found new courage to face down their oppressors, and they found the words to declare that Poland would be Poland once again.
As I stand here today before this incredible crowd, this faithful nation, we can still hear those voices that echo through history. Their message is as true today as ever. The people of Poland, the people of America, and the people of Europe still cry out “We want God.” (Applause.)
Together, with Pope John Paul II, the Poles reasserted their identity as a nation devoted to God. And with that powerful declaration of who you are, you came to understand what to do and how to live. You stood in solidarity against oppression, against a lawless secret police, against a cruel and wicked system that impoverished your cities and your souls. And you won. Poland prevailed. Poland will always prevail. (Applause.)
That trip through a memory lane of horrors was the preface to President Donald J. Trump’s grandest proposal of all, the liberation of the West:
This continent no longer confronts the specter of communism. But today we’re in the West, and we have to say there are dire threats to our security and to our way of life. You see what’s happening out there. They are threats. We will confront them. We will win. But they are threats. (Applause.)
AUDIENCE: Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We are confronted by another oppressive ideology — one that seeks to export terrorism and extremism all around the globe. America and Europe have suffered one terror attack after another. We’re going to get it to stop. (Applause.) [snip]
We must stand united against these shared enemies to strip them of their territory and their funding, and their networks, and any form of ideological support that they may have. While we will always welcome new citizens who share our values and love our people, our borders will always be closed to terrorism and extremism of any kind. (Applause.)
AUDIENCE: Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!
PRESIDENT TRUMP: We are fighting hard against radical Islamic terrorism, and we will prevail. We cannot accept those who reject our values and who use hatred to justify violence against the innocent.
Today, the West is also confronted by the powers that seek to test our will, undermine our confidence, and challenge our interests. To meet new forms of aggression, including propaganda, financial crimes, and cyberwarfare, we must adapt our alliance to compete effectively in new ways and on all new battlefields.
We urge Russia to cease its destabilizing activities in Ukraine and elsewhere, and its support for hostile regimes — including Syria and Iran — and to instead join the community of responsible nations in our fight against common enemies and in defense of civilization itself. (Applause.)
President Donald J. Trump’s Crusade in Europe is not only a world-wide fight against ideologies and powers that threaten the West from outside. President Donald J. Trump made explicit that the fight to liberate the West must also be a fight against domestic enemies:
Finally, on both sides of the Atlantic, our citizens are confronted by yet another danger — one firmly within our control. This danger is invisible to some but familiar to the Poles: the steady creep of government bureaucracy that drains the vitality and wealth of the people. The West became great not because of paperwork and regulations but because people were allowed to chase their dreams and pursue their destinies.
Americans, Poles, and the nations of Europe value individual freedom and sovereignty. We must work together to confront forces, whether they come from inside or out, from the South or the East, that threaten over time to undermine these values and to erase the bonds of culture, faith and tradition that make us who we are. (Applause.) If left unchecked, these forces will undermine our courage, sap our spirit, and weaken our will to defend ourselves and our societies.
But just as our adversaries and enemies of the past learned here in Poland, we know that these forces, too, are doomed to fail if we want them to fail. And we do, indeed, want them to fail. (Applause.) They are doomed not only because our alliance is strong, our countries are resilient, and our power is unmatched. Through all of that, you have to say everything is true. Our adversaries, however, are doomed because we will never forget who we are. And if we don’t forget who are, we just can’t be beaten. Americans will never forget. The nations of Europe will never forget. We are the fastest and the greatest community. There is nothing like our community of nations. The world has never known anything like our community of nations.
We write symphonies. We pursue innovation. We celebrate our ancient heroes, embrace our timeless traditions and customs, and always seek to explore and discover brand-new frontiers.
We reward brilliance. We strive for excellence, and cherish inspiring works of art that honor God. We treasure the rule of law and protect the right to free speech and free expression. (Applause.)
We empower women as pillars of our society and of our success. We put faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, at the center of our lives. And we debate everything. We challenge everything. We seek to know everything so that we can better know ourselves. (Applause.)
And above all, we value the dignity of every human life, protect the rights of every person, and share the hope of every soul to live in freedom. That is who we are. Those are the priceless ties that bind us together as nations, as allies, and as a civilization.
What we have, what we inherited from our — and you know this better than anybody, and you see it today with this incredible group of people — what we’ve inherited from our ancestors has never existed to this extent before. And if we fail to preserve it, it will never, ever exist again. So we cannot fail.
This great community of nations has something else in common: In every one of them, it is the people, not the powerful, who have always formed the foundation of freedom and the cornerstone of our defense. The people have been that foundation here in Poland — as they were right here in Warsaw — and they were the foundation from the very, very beginning in America.
Our citizens did not win freedom together, did not survive horrors together, did not face down evil together, only to lose our freedom to a lack of pride and confidence in our values. We did not and we will not. We will never back down. [snip]
The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive. Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any cost? Do we have enough respect for our citizens to protect our borders? Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face of those who would subvert and destroy it? (Applause.)
That section of President Donald J. Trump’s speech echoed the Star Spangled Banner. “Oh say, does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave, over the land of the free and the home of the brave?” President Trump made the question a global one for the West: “Do we have the confidence in our values to defend them at any cost? Do we have the desire and the courage to preserve our civilization in the face of those who would subvert and destroy it?”
For those that do not know the answer to those questions, President Trump says ‘look to Poland’:
We can have the largest economies and the most lethal weapons anywhere on Earth, but if we do not have strong families and strong values, then we will be weak and we will not survive. (Applause.) If anyone forgets the critical importance of these things, let them come to one country that never has. Let them come to Poland. (Applause.) [snip]
Our own fight for the West does not begin on the battlefield — it begins with our minds, our wills, and our souls. Today, the ties that unite our civilization are no less vital, and demand no less defense, than that bare shred of land on which the hope of Poland once totally rested. Our freedom, our civilization, and our survival depend on these bonds of history, culture, and memory.
And today as ever, Poland is in our heart, and its people are in that fight. (Applause.) Just as Poland could not be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken. Our values will prevail. Our people will thrive. And our civilization will triumph. (Applause.)
AUDIENCE: Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump!
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Thank you. So, together, let us all fight like the Poles — for family, for freedom, for country, and for God.
Thank you. God Bless You. God bless the Polish people. God bless our allies. And God bless the United States of America.
At that moment of liberation for Poland, when Soviet Communists fought to continue to force their totalitarian system of slavery on Poland, Ronald Reagan and the now sainted Pope John Paul II were partners. President Donald J. Trump does not have a partner in the Vatican. President Donald J. Trump has no partners in France, Germany, and even Great Britain is wobbly.
President Donald J. Trump has no partners in the Western Powers in his fight to save the West. His partners are mostly in the nations such as Poland which once were “captive nations” and nations under threat such as Israel. Fortunately, President Donald J. Trump has history and the truth on his side. Like Gideon, President Donald J. Trump is raised to liberate the West:
The West is under attack. Christians are under attack. Civility is under attack. Free thought and liberty are under attack by “hate speech” laws. The totalitarians are on the march just as in Winston Churchill’s day. Donald J. Trump was Churchill. Today President-Elect Donald J. Trump is a Gideon – raised to save the West.
On American Big Media the story is all about the little things. To American Big Media after the July 4 holiday and the return of the congress from vacation, the news is all about their hoped for collapse of the ObamaCare repeal efforts, a renewed effort to breathe life into the dead Russia story using Donald Trump Jr. as the latest in a long line of resuscitation efforts, foolish defenses of Comey’s latest lies and crimes, along with any story that demeans President Donald J. Trump. Imagine the British and American media in 1942 publishing endless attacks and “analysis” about Winston Churchill’s enjoyment of cigars and Scotch.
Already President Donald J. Trump has removed the energy threat America was exposed to during the Jimmy Carter presidency. President Donald J. Trump already has made America energy independent and further intends to make America energy DOMINANT, which will make Russia’s threats against Europe null and void.
President Donald J. Trump is set to not only Make America Great Again. Already the grander goal that President Donald J. Trump will achieve, despite Big Media and the degenerate political establishment of the West, is the salvation and liberation of the West. To that end, academia, the deep states, the establishments of the political parties, the corporate masters, the government bureaucrats, are all under threat.
That is what in 2017 we fight for. That’s what the fight is about. Much as Eisenhower sent Patton’s tanks through the fields of a defeated Europe, President Trump means to liberate Europe and the West.
Look at the fall of the Berlin Wall, look to valiant Norway, look to Poland. Look to America, the arsenal of Democracy. Look to the light that will save the West.
Like Alexander The Great, President Donald J. Trump is shaking the world. The Great Trump is on track to great electoral victories in 2018 and a 2020 reelection. The presidential blueprint for 2020 reelection and early victories in 2018 becomes clearer with every passing day.
Consider Jerusalem. Candidate Trump promised to move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Now President Trump will not move the American embassy to Jerusalem. Great betrayal or great move?
To decide the question look at the events roiling the world. On Thursday President Trump signed a waiver delaying the embassy move. Trump spokesman Sean Spicer declared
“President Trump made this decision to maximize the chances of successfully negotiating a deal between Israel and the Palestinians, fulfilling his solemn obligation to defend America’s national security interests,” Spicer said. “But, as he has repeatedly stated his intention to move the embassy, the question is not if that move happens, but only when.”
Ordinarily, this type of empty talk to back away from a clear campaign promise is worthy only of derision. Two events convince us this is the Great Trump art of the deal, not a betrayal.
First, the reception two weeks ago by Saudi Arabia of President Trump was unprecedented in warmth and ostentation. The departure by President Trump on a heretofore forbidden direct flight from the Kingdom to Israel indicated the warm reception for the Great Trump in Saudi Arabia was not mere visuals and talk.
Seven foreign nations — Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Libya, Maldives, Yemen and Bahrain — cut diplomatic ties with Qatar on Monday, as well as suspending sea and air travel to and from the country, after accusing the nation of collaborating with militant groups in the region, reports the BBC.
Qatar supplies and supports terrorist organizations such as Hamas, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda. Qatar is an ally of Iran. Qatar cannot survive without the 80% import of food and other necessary supplies from the countries that just cut off diplomatic ties. Qatar is now cut off from land, sea and air contact with fellow members of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Why has this happened? The Great Trump:
While on a visit to Riyadh two weeks ago, US President Donald Trump urged Muslim countries to take the lead in combating radicalisation, and blamed Iran for instability in the Middle East.
“It seems that the Saudis and Emiratis feel emboldened by the alignment of their regional interests – toward Iran and Islamism – with the Trump administration,” Gulf analyst Kristian Ulrichsen told Reuters news agency.
“[They] have decided to deal with Qatar’s alternative approach on the assumption that they will have the [Trump] administration’s backing.”
We do not doubt that the hold on the embassy move to Jerusalem and the stunning isolation of Qatar are related. The embassy move will come when the Great Trump decides the time is ripe. For now, the time is ripe to take on Iran allies and enablers as a prelude to the final battle with the Persian Empire of Terror.
The Great Trump is respected in capitals of the middle east which mocked the great boob Barack “the sniveling” Obama. The Great Trump deals from strength.
Trump’s NATO Bombast Gets Us Where Statesmanship Can’t [snip]
If Donald Trump had done nothing more than to create a legitimate occasion for calling a newspaper article “Whither NATO,” his place in history would be assured. Small, but assured.
But Mr. Trump has gone further. He has actually put the future of NATO on the global agenda by saying, on his European trip in May, that the United States spends far more on the shared defense than our allies do. That, he declared, was going to stop. Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany then said that the days when Europe could “rely fully” on others were “somewhat over,” which is essentially what President Trump had said, without the dainty qualifications.
So we’re all in agreement, right? NATO must reform, with a better deal for the United States, or it will disappear. [snip]
On his recent trip to Europe, President Trump attacked European leaders in person and in public for failing to meet their defense obligations. Previous presidents have also wanted our fellow club members to pay their dues. Mr. Trump was not doing or saying anything especially new or bold. But earlier presidents, with their statesmanlike approach, had failed utterly to achieve a goal that most Americans likely would have found desirable. Mr. Trump, bombast and all, is surely more likely to make progress on that front than, say, the Council on Foreign Relations.
The Great Trump is reshaping, with strength, boldness, timing, and smarts, the entire world. While Europe sleeps, The Great Trump is reshaping the world. While The Great Trump shakes the world, Europe sleeps as it did before the world wars of the past century, inviting the soft invasion of the continent:
And, as I said only the other day, the reality of what is happening in Britain and Europe is that this problem was imported and that, until you stop importing it, you’re going to have more of it.
To hell with Europe and to hell with London and its Muslim Mayor. We won’t shed a tear or display any sympathy for the countries in Europe subject to Muslim terror attacks. To hell with them all. We feel sorry for the dead and injured but if any of them voted for the Muslim Mayor or voted against Brexit, or support Muslim immigration into Europe, then hey, you’re getting what you deserve.
We will take Europe seriously when the response to Muslim Terror attacks is a military response. As long as the European response to Muslim Terrorist Attacks is police investigations or calls for more security, then to hell with them.
The Great President Donald J. Trump understands that increased security until the West strangles itself with security is the wrong path. In the end the response to Muslim Terror will have to be death of Muslim Terrorists along with bans on Muslim Terrorists entering or remaining in this country.
Until Europe stops with the tears and laying down of flowers and stupid concerts with stupid singers to weep about the latest Muslim Terrorist Attack, the Muslim soft invasion of Europe will continue.
The Great Trump is reshaping the world. Many suspect the Great Trump will be defeated. But the only ones that believe the Great Trump will be defeated are the truly and resistant to reality, Dims.
For all the Big Media onslaught against President Trump, for all the predictions of doom in 2018 because of President Trump’s alleged “unpopularity”, Roll Call, has a wake up call:
Latest Roll Call Ratings Show Tough Road to Majority For Democrats
Looking at the map right now, even the best case scenarios for Democrats see the GOP keeping their congressional majorities. Looking at the map right now, even the best case scenarios for Democrats see the GOP keeping their congressional majorities.
Roll Call updated their congressional seat ratings on Thursday for the upcoming 2018 midterms, and early predictions indicate trouble for the Democrats’ quest to reclaim the majority.
The Capitol Hill paper rated 202 House seats as “Solid Republican” in addition to 17 as “Likely Republican.” With 435 seats in the House, requiring one party control 218 seats for a majority, the GOP would reach a majority by adding up Roll Call’s “Solid” and “Likely” seats.
Things are worse for Chuck Schumer’s crew in the Senate, where most of the seats up for election this year are incumbent Democrats.
For all the Russia hysteria by Obama Dimocrats and Hillary, the GOP will retain control of congress in 2018. In the Senate the GOP is well positioned to even surmount the 60 vote supermajority which will lead to President Trump getting just about everything he wants in the two years leading up to his reelection effort. House of Representatives, Governorships, Senate – the GOP under The Great Trump is set to win massive victories in 2018.
Inside Washington, Donald Trump’s 4-month-old presidency appears to spin in a perpetual state of crisis and chaos, achieving few tangible successes and beset by weekly distractions.
But in far and wide pockets of the country, where legions of loyal Trump supporters remain, a very different picture is being discerned.
They see a media corps obsessed with a Russia investigation despite no evidence of a crime, all too easily swallowing an excuse for Hillary Clinton’s loss.
They see a Democratic Party lurching further to the left and practicing pure obstructionism to appease its inflamed base.
They see a coterie of prosperous, smug elites stationed in power centers and unable to comprehend the everyday hardships spoken to by this president.
And they see all of them hellbent on taking down Trump, whatever the cost to the country.
U.S. News conducted email interviews with more than a dozen readers who defended Trump in their reactions to previous stories.
These folks are angry, distrustful and sometimes intemperate, reflecting similar characteristics of the commander in chief. Some are true believers who salute all of Trump’s actions, no matter how contentious or disputed. Others are clear-eyed about the president’s flaws, but are more disturbed by the drumbeat of a contemptuous opposition. Not all of them consider themselves conservatives; some even voted for former President Barack Obama – twice. [snip]
“Suddenly, [Angela] Merkel thinks the German people cannot rely totally on the USA. Was that a good thing, [previously allowing] … Germany and 23 of NATO members to not pay their bills? The president calls them out on it. And this is an affront?” asks Richard Weddle of Los Angeles, who says he’s a nuclear researcher who has worked for the FBI and Defense Department. “President Trump said, right to the 50 or so Islamic nation leaders, terrorism, extremism must be driven out – with a euphemism for kill them – drive them out of the earth. This is as direct a statement as I have seen.”
Joseph Lapinski, a 68-year-old who declined to reveal where he lives, explains that he soured on Obama and moved to Trump due to their day-and-night approaches to roiling global events.
It’s not that Lapinski didn’t think Obama was “a wonderful guy. He was.”
But “it was how he, like Jimmy Carter, thought all the wars could be solved by talking, like North Korea,” Lapinski says. “It doesn’t make him a bad guy because he didn’t want blood on his hands. It does make him a bad commander in chief.
“Trump is a jerk. Being a jerk doesn’t make him a bad president.” [snip]
Kearney says she really doesn’t like Trump, but that the unrelenting Democratic backlash has actually resulted in pushing her closer to him.
“I find it difficult to even listen to him. But the Democrats are making him look better. He has actually done a fairly good job considering the attack he is under,” she says. “As bad as he is, I do not support the attempted coup that is going on. So this anti-Hillary voter finds herself getting more angry and being pushed into supporting Trump – a pig – but our president and a guy who seems to be trying to do the right things – clumsily, boorishly, but I believe sincerely.”
There is a lot in the interviews to choke Obama Dims. The quotes in support of The Great Trump are wise in the positive and the negative assessments of the Great Trump. “The only thing about which I vacillate is his tweeting, but then I remember that he is under news assault 24/7, and realize that no one can remain stoic 24/7. Nor should he. If he began to ignore the continual assaults by innuendo – seldom facts – his supporters would eventually give up the fight, too, and he’s the only one I’ve seen willing to absorb the slings and arrows day after day. The only president with whom he compares is Teddy Roosevelt for stalwartness.” “Trump definitely has some personality flaws and he probably should have vetted his staff better, but he is patriotic and certainly not a traitor. I sincerely think he wants to make America great again just as Obama did, but their definitions of American greatness and how to achieve this differ greatly.” “Hillary took money from Russia, Bill [Clinton] took money from Russia, and the press thinks I should get worked up about a Clinton-created story about a Trump-Russia collusion? Really?” “We see the economy improving. We see the jobs slowly coming back. We see the start of a better relationship with our allies, and we see his budget of 2018 trying to [rein] in wasteful spending. But all the media reports is Russia, more Russia and more Russia.” “Perhaps you should contact Clinton supporters and ask them when they are going to stop the whining, crying, rioting and threats of violence, and the actual violence. Finding Clinton supporters should be easy, I’m betting almost everyone you know or associate with is a Clinton supporter. You might want to check out the picture of Kathy Griffin holding Trump’s severed head, and then ask yourself just how much lower liberals and their media lapdogs can go.”
Only an Obama Dimocrat can doubt the strong bond the Great Trump has with his strong supporters, his once not so strong supporters, and even those who don’t like or approve of the President’s personality or style but want America Great Again.
At the Trump hating Politico, an article was published as the London Muslim Terror attacks took place. It is an article worth a full read which we will only excerpt:
A Noun, a Verb and Vladimir Putin
Why the Democrats are making a big mistake by obsessing over Russia. [snip]
He was, they asserted again and again, unacceptable, immoral and corrupt. Every focus group they assembled raised serious questions about his disparagement of various ethic groups, his brutish mannerisms, his business ties to foreign governments, his lack of qualifications. Almost every professional polling firm showed deep and mounting disapproval of his behavior—he was, they calculated, the most unpopular candidate in American history. Many in the Republican establishment criticized or outright denounced him. And yet, defying all the confident predictions right up until election night, Trump managed to eke out a shocking victory, relying particularly on a surge of “forgotten voters” in the Midwest.
You’d be forgiven, of course, if you thought this was a recap of the 2016 election. Actually, it’s what the same pundits who got 2016 so wrong very well might be saying again four years from now. Such a mind-blowing, spirit-crushing, defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory redo of the last election should keep smart Democratic operatives up at night. Yet it doesn’t. [snip]
To those with a bit of distance from cable news—that is, every sane person in America—Democrats seem to be replaying the exact strategy that lost them the last election. What, pray tell, is the Democratic Party’s message otherwise? [snip]
Democrats appear to have spent about two minutes trying to figure out why the voters of Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and, very nearly, Minnesota rejected them only a few months ago. [snip]
What did the Democrats do to rebuild the faith and trust of the “forgotten” voters they still seem to have trouble remembering? They doubled down. The first thing they did after the biggest political disaster in their history was to keep their leadership team intact. [snip]
When half the country believes the Democrats and the media are in cahoots, and most partisans are siloed off to their favorite media outlets and eschewing other sources of information, it makes it hard for “Watergate 2: The Series” to make it on the airwaves. Even Mike Morrell, the former CIA acting director who accused Trump of being a Russian stooge as he signed up for the Clinton campaign, thinks the media is hyping the story and showing bias against the president. [snip]
More than two-thirds of voters, according to at least one ABC News/Washington Post poll (if you believe polls anymore), said the Democrats were “out of touch.” The Democrats—yes, the Democrats—scored lower than Trump and the Republicans on that issue. [snip]
A few weeks ago, a sociologist at Columbia University flatly predicted that Trump will be reelected in 2020. In an even crueler blow to the Democrats, an ABC poll released in April found that Trump would beat Hillary Clinton in the popular vote if there were a hypothetical rematch.
If the Democratic National Committee has many more weeks like the previous one, it might not recover in time for the midterm elections in 2018. [snip]
The Democratic National Committee took a brutal shot to its ribs when its 2016 nominee, Hillary Clinton, said it was bereft of ideas and data, and was near bankruptcy when she was nominated in July. [snip]
Andrew Therriault, the former DNC director of data science, responded by slamming Clinton in two since-deleted tweets, calling Clinton’s comments two unprintable words, according to CNN.
“I hope you understand the good you did despite that nonsense,” Therriault said in a message to DNC data staffers.
Black women are angry with the DNC, as are the whining Bernie Sanders kooks. It is particularly laughable that a Socialist who is not a member of their corrupt party is the leading candidate to challenge the Great Trump in 2020. The Socialists are even now fighting over the super-delegate rules and that will lead to a schism in 2020.
Washington will be riveted this week by the drama surrounding former FBI Director James Comey’s expected congressional testimony. But Republicans elsewhere in the country say they couldn’t care less. [snip]
“There’s nothing about Jim Comey that I trust,” said state Sen. Ron Rabin. “There’s nothing consistent about what he says.”
Asked whether Comey has any credibility, he offered a view shared by many Republican activists gathered at this airy waterfront convention center: “None. Zero.”
Comey’s Clown show on Thursday will compete with the British elections for most watched circus. In the end, The Great Trump wins in 2018 and reelection in 2020:
Trump Will Likely Win Reelection in 2020
By Musa al-Gharbi
In other words, we can count on Trump surviving his first term – and likely winning a second.
During and despite a ceaseless onslaught by Big Media and Obama Dimocrats, the Great President Trump in polls taken during this period has only increased his support, even as allegedly the polls also show his allegedly declining popularity. Despite all the attacks, a rerun election would give President Trump a popular and electoral vote victory.
We do President Trump a great disservice with this article. For President Trump the best situation is for continued barking from Comey the Clown and the Obama Dimocrats – in full outrage after full outrage upon full outrage to top the last over the top full outrage. Our observation that Comey and the outrage of Obama Dimocrats only helps cement a Great Trumping in 2018 and 2020 is like putting a bell on a cat. Our apologies to the Great Trump.
We do Obama Dimocrats a great service with this article. If they could surgically Frankenstein a working brain they would learn a great deal and possibly figure out how to defeat the Great President Trump.
It’s all been worth it. In the wake of the Manchester terror attack, it’s all been worth it. To see AMERICAN PRESIDENT Trump in Israel, and Saudi Arabia, and hear him attack Muslim terrorism and the Persian Empire of Terror, Iran, it’s all been worth it. All the attacks against Trump voters and all the ugliness of Obama Dimocrats and their Russia mania, it’s all been worth it.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a subtle yet significant swipe at Barack Obama’s foreign policy legacy without even mentioning the name of that former president.
“I want to tell you,” Netanyahu said to President Trump during a joint press conference Monday, “how much we appreciate the reassertion of American leadership in the Middle East.” Veiled as a compliment to Trump, the implication was a clear swat against Obama. [snip]
With his praise of the current president, Netanyahu expressed his opinion in the relative goodness of Trump and awfulness of Obama.
Where Obama tried negotiating with Iran, Trump has rattled his saber. And while Obama gave the Jewish state a cold shoulder, Trump has promised closer cooperation to avoid nuclear proliferation in the region.
“The United States and Israel can declare with one voice,” Trump said Monday, “that Iran must never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon, never ever, and must cease its deadly funding, training and equipping of terrorists and militias, and it must cease immediately.”
That’s notably different in tone and substance from Obama’s marquee foreign policy achievement. The Iran nuclear agreement, which the former president negotiated in 2015, keeps Iran from getting a nuclear weapon in the short run in exchange for more than $100 billion in sanctions relief from the U.S.
As both Netanyahu and Trump have criticized, that agreement does not prohibit Iran from enriching uranium and only lasts for about a decade.
In Saudi Arabia, President Donald J. Trump literally picked up a saber and rattled it as he danced. In Israel, the great American President Donald J. Trump laid waste to Barack Obama’s signature collusion with Muslim terrorists and the Persian Empire of Terror, Iran:
President Trump: “I just left, I will say, I just left Saudi Arabia. The King, we had an amazing two days and, their feeling towards Israel is really very positive. Tremendous progress has been made. I think a lot of that progress has been made because of the aggression of Iran, and it’s forcing people together in a very positive way. And if you look at King Salman, and Saudi Arabia, and others that I was with, UAE, and Bahrain, and Kuwait and so many others, it was something. It was very historic what took place over the last two days. But I could see a much deeper path to friendship with Israel and I think a lot of that is spurred on, whatever it takes, but a lot of that is spurred on by what’s happening with Iran. So progress has been made.
Prime Minister Netanyahu: I think that the fact that you have taken a very strong position on Iran, a different position, not only helps security but also helps propel the possibility of reconciliation and peace between Israel and the Arab world. And that will help reconciliation between Israel and the Palestinians. Of course not all, that I will like to discuss before the cameras, but I do look forward to our discussions which are pregnant with possibilities.
President Trump: You know with Iran, Iran should be very grateful to the United States because Iran negotiated a fantastic deal with the previous administration. A deal that is unbelievable from any standpoint. Some people don’t understand even how it could be even thought of. And instead of being thankful and saying “thank you”, because they were in serious trouble.
I think they would have failed, totally failed within six months. We gave them a life-line. And we not only gave them a life-line, we gave them wealth and prosperity. And we also gave them an ability to continue with terror, and with all of the things they’ve been doing.
Because, no matter where we go we see the signs of Iran in the middle east. No matter where we go. Whether it’s Syria where we were really forced to shoot the 59 missiles a few weeks ago. No matter what area we’re in we see… Yemen, Iraq, no matter where we are, we see the signs, every sign, whether it’s soldiers, whether it’s money and guns, it’s Iran.
And, instead of saying “thank you” to the United States, they now feel emboldened. Maybe they figure ‘the deal was so good we can do it every time’. They can’t do it, believe me. But it was a terrible, a terrible thing for the United States to enter that deal. And, believe me, Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
JERUSALEM — U.S. President Donald Trump assailed Iranian aggression and military ambitions Monday on his first visit to Israel as the American leader, drawing quick approval from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump attacked the administration of former U.S. President Barack Obama for agreeing to the 2015 international deal restraining Iran’s nuclear weapons program in exchange for lifting economic sanctions against Tehran, a pact the Jewish state adamantly, but unsuccessfully, opposed.
“I want you to know how much we appreciate the change in American policy on Iran,” Netanyahu told Trump at the end of a day of meetings and ceremony. “I want want to tell you also how much we appreciate the reassertion of American leadership in the Middle East.”
Trump attacked Iran throughout the day, saying, “Instead of being thankful, saying thank you” for the nuclear deal, Iranians “now feel emboldened,” with signs of Tehran’s fighters, money and weapons in Yemen, Iraq and Syria. “We not only gave them a lifeline, we gave them wealth and prosperity. It was a terrible thing for the United States to enter into that deal.”
Respect for Israel and PM Netanyahu: Trump vs. Obama
Body language and rhetoric dramatically changed with new president in the White House
President Donald Trump’s warm reception in Israel this week cast a sharp contrast with the often visibly icy state of U.S.-Israeli relations under the previous administration.
Gone was the often stiff and hostile body language on display when former President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu met, replaced with frequent smiles and laughter.
“Just look at the footage you just showed. Look at the body language, look at the smiles,” said White House advisor Dr. Sebastian Gorka on Fox News Tuesday. “It’s so very different. How much different after eight years of Israel being shunned by the last administration?” he said.
“The smiles tell you everything,” Gorka said. “Our closest ally is now being treated as our closest ally in the Middle East,” he said.
U.S.-Israeli relations deteriorated significantly under the previous administration. Obama and his administration often criticized Israel over the issue of settlements, and his pursuit of a nuclear deal with Iran infuriated Israeli leaders.
The tension over U.S. rhetoric and policies often became personal.
“I have no doubt we’ll get along very well,” Netanyahu predicted following Barack Obama’s election in 2008. But by 2015, the Huffington Post was dissecting “The Worst Relationship Between A U.S. President And An Israeli Prime Minister Ever.”
In March 2010, a meeting between the two world leaders in the White House was widely reported to be disastrous.
“One Israeli newspaper called the meeting ‘a hazing in stages,’ poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House telephone line,” reported the New York Post.
“Another said that the Prime Minister had received ‘the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea,’” the Post reported.
“The Prime Minister leaves America disgraced, isolated, and altogether weaker than when he came,” the Israeli daily newspaper Haaretz said.
Obama — whose very first trip outside North America as President included a jaunt to Muslim countries in the Middle East — would not visit Israel until his second term in office.
JERUSALEM (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that shared concern about Iran was driving Israel and many Arab states closer and demanded that Tehran immediately cease military and financial backing of “terrorists and militias”.
In stressing threats from Iran, Trump echoed a theme laid out during weekend meetings in Saudi Arabia with Muslim leaders from around the world, many wary of the Islamic Republic’s growing regional influence and financial muscle. [snip]
Trump received a warm welcome in Riyadh from Arab leaders, especially over his tough line on Tehran, which many Sunni Muslim Arab states regard as seeking regional control.
In Jerusalem, in public remarks after talks with Israeli leaders on the first day of his two-day visit, he again focused on Iran, pledging he would never let Tehran acquire nuclear arms.
“What’s happened with Iran has brought many of the parts of the Middle East toward Israel,” Trump said at a meeting with President Reuven Rivlin. [snip]
“I want you to know how much we appreciate the change in American policy on Iran which you enunciated so clearly,” Netanyahu, who had an acrimonious relationship with former U.S. President Barack Obama, told Trump at his official residence. [snip]
In Jerusalem’s walled Old City, Trump toured the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and became the first sitting president to visit the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest place where Israel allows Jews to pray in a city sacred to three religions.
Trump will have visited significant centers of Islam, Judaism and Christianity by the end of his trip, a point that his aides say bolsters his argument that the fight against Islamist militancy is a battle between “good and evil”.
The Persian Empire of Terror will continue to try to destroy President Donald J. Trump. In America, there are those who wish to destroy President Donald J. Trump too. In the middle east, and in America, the enemy, under different guises, comes from The Swamp.
According to excerpts of the speech released by the White House, Trump will call on Arab leaders to confront “Islamist extremism”, and portray fighting “terrorism” as a battle between good and evil.
“This is a battle between barbaric criminals who seek to obliterate human life, and decent people of all religions who seek to protect it,” the excerpts said.
“That means honestly confronting the crisis of Islamist extremism and the Islamist terror groups it inspires. And it means standing together against the murder of innocent Muslims, the oppression of women, the persecution of Jews, and the slaughter of Christians.
“The nations of the Middle East cannot wait for American power to crush this enemy for them. The nations of the Middle East will have to decide what kind of future they want for themselves, for their countries, and for their children,” Trump was expected to say.
America hating, Jew hating, Islamist terrorist pal Barack Hussein Obama coddled, appeased, protected, Muslim terrorists. In his disgusting ahistorical speech in Cairo to the Muslim world Barack Obama distorted history and insulted Jews and the freedom loving West. Barack Obama to Muslim leaders was camel dung because of his cowardice and his appeasement of Muslim terror and calls for “understanding”. What Muslim leaders who want to fight terror (such as Al-Sisi) need is a strong American president. President Donald J. Trump is a strong American president who today Makes America Great Again on the world stage.
Saudi Arabia considered Barack Hussein Obama as camel dung. Saudi Arabia had more respect for a lame dried up camel than for Michelle Obama.
For years, Donald J. Trump mocked, along with other world leaders, the fey degenerate called Barack Obama. Donald J. Trump frequently declared during his presidential campaign that if he would ever visit a country as President and was disrespected by, for instance, the leader of that country not there to greet him, he would get back on Air Force One and leave.
Barack Obama visited countries, and leaders in places like Cuba and Saudi Arabia, sent the equivalent of a janitorial staff to give him a mop of pretend “welcome”:
Saudi king fails to meet Obama off plane at Riyadh airport [snip]
Saudi state television broadcast no live pictures of the US president’s arrival.
It was the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia and a local governor who met the American leader off the plane. [snip]
This comes in stark contrast to the reception of other high-profile guests, whom the 80-year-old King Salman greeted personally on the airfield.
Barack Obama protected the Saudis from 9/11 family lawsuits. Barack Obama bowed and scraped and licked the dung off Saudi shoes. Result? Barack Obama was held in utmost contempt by the Saudis. World leaders, as we wrote repeatedly, understood Barack Obama had less political weight than the feces of an ant.
There were two very different outcomes when two American presidents greeted the king of Saudi Arabia.
All eyes were on President Trump today as he arrived in the country for his first foreign trip.
Video shows the president stepping off the plane and greeting King Salman:
Trump stood up straight as Salman appeared to bow slightly.
Trump’s posture stands in stark difference to President Obama’s in the early days of his presidency.
Cameras captured Obama bowing to King Abdullah, contorting nearly to a 90-degree angle in what many called a moment of American weakness:
Simpering, bowing, scraping Barack Obama. Unbowed and proud President Donald J. Trump.
On Saturday, in Saudi Arabia, the frail octogenarian Saudi King traveled to the airport to greet with all respect, pomp, and circumstance, the POTUS with the Mostest for America – President Donald J. Trump.
$350 billion! Jobs, jobs, jobs! It’s not all about money however. President Trump will speak to the Muslim world on Sunday and unlike Barack Obama, President Trump will defend Western Judeo-Christian values. Among the values President Trump defends with his very presence and most importantly the presence of Melania Trump, is the rights of women. Yay Melania Trump!
As Melania Trump upholds her dignity and that of women, the American totalitarian left has hit a new low in degenerate debasement. The American left believes Muslims are the great feminists and that women covering up in shame and abasement is the new liberation. That is what leftist “feminism” has degenerated into. Disgusting:
Muslims Are the True Feminists [snip]
If we want to be respected as women and taken seriously in all our endeavors we should look to a new source; Muslim women. Muslim women, as well as Muslim men, see every body as a sacred temple, especially the female body. Opposed to exposing themselves, it is through modesty. When we think of modern feminists we should stray away from the new American trends and start looking to what we have always thought as a contradiction; Muslim feminists. [snip]
The first Muslim woman was Khadija, Mohammed’s first wife. Without her influence, Islam might not have emerged as successfully as it did. [snip]
Just this one example gives us a view on how true Muslim women are; outspoken, driven, certain and courageous, the epitome of a feminist.
So it’s no surprise to see Muslim woman today modeling themselves after these prominent female figures. Muslim girls look towards these instances of strength for guidance in this scary, patriarchal society. These modern women are not afraid to go against the grain in the name of their belief like wearing the hijab to covey their religious devotion. Hijab is the headscarf that is worn by Muslim woman and no; it is not supposed to be forced on them by their fathers and husbands. Wearing or not wearing the Hijab reflects a Muslim woman’s own a personal choice.
For me, this idea especially showcases feminism in America. With all of the pressures in our American society to have a certain physical allure; to have long, luscious hair, a skinny yet curvy body, flawless facial beauty, woman go through hell.
Far-Left Austrian President: All Women Must Wear Headscarves to Fight Islamophobia
Austria’s far-left president, Alexander Van der Bellen, has suggested that one day all women must wear headscarves to fight Islamophobia.
During a talk to students, Van der Bellen said that whilst be believes a woman should wear “whatever she wants”, should Austria’s “rampant Islamophobia continue, there will come a day when we must ask all women to wear a headscarf – all of them! – out of solidarity towards those who do it for religious reasons”.
Go to Hell degenerate leftists.
Fortunately for decent freedom loving Americans and the western world, Donald J. Trump is president and Melania Trump is the FLOTUS with the Mostest. No hijab or burkas for Melania Trump! Melania Trump in Saudi Arabia wore pants (super stylish jumpsuit), a stunning outfit with a wide gold belt, and her gorgeous hair flowing free and proud in the desert air. Pants!!! And the Saudi King shook her hand!!!
The Saudi King shook Melania Trump’s hand even though she is a woman proud to wear what she will and unashamed to let her hair perfume the dry winds of the Saudi kingdom. This is all quite unbelievable for the Obama Dimocrat vermin that thought President Donald J. Trump would not be welcome by Muslims.
President of the United States Donald J. Trump understands his interests are the interests of the United States first and foremost. President of the United States Donald J. Trump also understands that strength is respected especially in places like the Middle East and in Muslim cultures. The Saudis want a strong America with a strong American president who will fight against the Persian Empire of Terror – Iran.
Melania Trump wore jumpsuit pants, free-flowing hair, and a sphinx-like smile in the very patriarchal Saudi Arabia.
While we’re dishing fashion, lantern-jawed Michelle Obama and her football player musculature could never pull off the stunning outfit in which Melania Trump graced America before departing on Air Force One. Dayum, girlfriend, rock that skirt!
Like Melania, Ivanka Trump is on the trip and free from hijab imprisonment. The news that Ivanka Trump will participate in a women’s economic issues discussion with Saudi women is great news. Ivanka is Jewish by conversion. Her husband Jared is Jewish. Just two Jews in Saudi Arabia – President Donald J. Trump works miracles.
Speaking of fashion, one final off topic fashion point in regards to Drapes Comey. Was Comey taking fashion tips from Carol Burnett in Went With The Wind when he thought to camouflage himself with the Oval Office drapery?
Behind the drapes, and in front of the cameras, American leftist Big Media is consumed with attempts to take down President Trump. But as long as President Trump continues to work, work, work, to bring back jobs, jobs, jobs, and thereby Make America Great Again, Big Media will fail. President Trump is on the job and American allies such as Saudi Arabia are happy to see an America First President:
His arrival following a 6,700-mile flight was met with the pomp usually reserved for the likes of a Papal welcome in South America.
The president got the red carpet treatment – literally – and some airport workers took off their shoes before manicuring it with brooms in 97-degree heat.
The Saudi King later presented Trump with the kingdom’s top civilian honor, the gold King Abdulaziz medal, at the royal court.
There were 30 U.S. flags at the ready at the airport, a tiny fraction of the thousands that line streets and highways between the airport and the city center.
A 90-person Royal Saudi Air Forces honor guard practiced rifle drills and then stood at attention while Trump and his kingly escort ambled toward the terminal.
He heard an eight-bugle fanfare, watched a seven-jet flyover trailing red, white and blue smoke. And cannon fire. Lots of cannon fire, which didn’t cease until Trump and King Salman were safely inside.
On Sunday, President Trump will address leaders from a dozen Muslim majority countries. The American leftist will go crazy, as usual. Then it is on to Israel for a REALLY friendly reception.
Not through cowering, not through apologies, not through bowing, this is how President Trump will Make America Great Again.
Jared Kushner should be worried. Steve Bannon should be worried. Reince Priebus should be worried. They should all be worried and that’s because of President Trump’s brilliant management style.
Every management style has plusses and minuses. We happen to prefer President Trump’s management style. The other management style used by people such as Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama simply does not work in our modern society with all its divisions.
Trump’s management style? President Trump is the center of the wheel. This makes President Trump a centripetal force when it comes to information. PDT sucks up information from all his aides, TV, publications, critics, everything and everyone.
The management style we don’t think works for a modern president is the pyramid management style. That is the management style of people like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. This pyramid style is very structured and everyone has a place in the pyramid. The president at the top of the pyramid has all his/her incoming information filtered through those immediately below him on the pyramid.
Big Media and the establishment of the country prefer the pyramid management style. Everyone has a place and all information is filtered through the pyramid. There are few if any surprises in the pyramid. The pyramid management style is excellent if your goal is structure and order. It’s not so good at getting things done other than the conventional. Lately conventional does not work.
President Trump’s management style is a vortex. It appears to be chaotic to everyone but the president at the center. Everyone competes to get the attention of the vortex center and the old rules of hierarchy and order are caught in the whirlwind.
Big Media hates the vortex. Big Media has long believed they are the masters of information. Big Media has been usurped by the center of the wheel for information gathering and information dissemination. Consider the latest “analysis” by Vanity Fair in their much discussed (by Big Media and Trump haters) article on the Trump White House:
THE INSIDE STORY OF THE KUSHNER-BANNON CIVIL WAR
West Wing sources come clean about the backstabbing, the bullying, the distrust, and the buzzing flies. [snip]
Priebus’s role is, by Trump’s design, less powerful than that of a traditional chief of staff. Typically, the chief of staff is meant to serve as the main gatekeeper to the president—having one person atop the hierarchy with unquestioned authority is essential—but Trump’s management style has long been to pit top aides against one another, and almost any senior aide can just wander into the Oval Office.
Oh, the horror!!! Vanity Fair cannot comprehend a free flow of information to the president. Vanity Fair craves the pyramid structure which has so spectacularly failed American voters/citizens with such regularity.
As a public service we will digest and excrete the entire Vanity Fair article which has titillated Big Media narratives for our readers. Vanity Fair‘s entire article on the Trump White House is one cheap and easy conceit. Vanity Fair declares that the Trump White House is like a “reality show”. The entire article populates the imagined “reality show” with characters from the Trump orbit. Isn’t that a “wow” so very very original? Uninspired bitchiness from hacks is the fare of Vanity Fair these days.
As with everything from Big Media these days, insipid chit-chat is what passes for “analysis” from Vanity Fair. Big Media takes everything Trump and puts a negative spin on it. It’s easy to do. Anyone can do it. If you have a loving relationship with a person, just label it “co-dependent” or “exploitative”. If a wonderful new technology is developed, describe all the horrors that could potentially come from the technology. You fall in love, “oh girlfriend you’re gonna regret it”. Anything and everything is turned into negative energy chit chat. Whatever it is, it is not “analysis”.
Good analysis of the Trump White House should examine the benefits and drawbacks of the Trump management style. The big drawback of the Trumpcentric universe is that if anything happens to Trump there will be a black hole of gravity at the center which will threaten to consume everything. Also, for the not very astute outside the vortex, the vortex appears as chaos. But as has been demonstrated since June 15, 2015 the vortex wins in the end and creates its own order and results. As long as President Trump remains healthy and active, we believe the benefits of the Trump vortex are greater than its deficits.
Of course the Trump vortex is not very good for those who work for Trump. The voter and President Trump benefit from the vortex but not the aides.
Consider Jared Kushner, the son-in-law. Big Media has declared that Jared Kushner is now king of the hill. To the extent that Kushner is family he is well positioned. Kushner, to quote from the chit-chat Vanity Fairairhead gossips is ascendant:
Ivanka Trump, who could play the No-BS Heiress in our reality show, and her husband, Jared, the Crafty In-Law, are both children of privilege and are both extraordinarily loyal to their fathers. The senior administration official told me that, with this president, it is “family above all else. That’s how he has lived his life. Anybody thinking they are going to win a fight against the family is not very smart.” Kushner has reportedly described himself as a “first among equals” among White House staffers—not an endearing self-assessment, but probably an accurate one—and has been given an almost laughable assortment of responsibilities. He is tasked not only with bringing peace to the Middle East but also with re-inventing the way the entire government does business. He is heavily involved in policy regarding China. He recently made a surprise trip to Iraq. In addition, he is now the boss of his father’s former tormentor, Chris Christie, who heads a White House commission to tackle the opioid crisis. Christie was the prosecutor who helped put Jared’s father, Charles Kushner, in prison, and Jared has not forgotten.
If Vanity Air tried to do “analysis” not gossip the mag rag could have pondered the situation Jared Kushner finds himself in. From the world of real estate in New York/New Jersey Jared Kushner has a background not entirely dissimilar from President Trump. But where President Trump is the center of the vortex, consuming information, and due to his life in public and the tabloids, able to command from the executive suite – Jared Kushner has very specific assignments to carry out on behalf of President Trump.
President Trump can make general decisions and issue orders. But no one expects President Trump to be an operative who picks up the hammer and saw to get the job done. That is precisely the situation Jared Kushner is in right now.
Jared Kushner has some very specific assignments. Will he succeed or fail? Middle East peace, China, opiods? That’s a very diverse portfolio. If Jared Kushner succeeds in these tasks who would be so churlish as to be unhappy he has done his job well? If Jared Kushner fails, then he will be called Icarus.
Anyone recall candidate Ben Carson? To be discreet and our typical sweet selves we won’t quote what Candidate Trump said about Candidate Carson. But it had something to do with Carson trying to kill his mother. Candidate Lyin’ Ted? Again, discretion is the better part of our nature, and we don’t mention Candidate Trump saying something about the assassination of JFK and Heidi and Daddy Cruz. Now Cruz helps PDT. Remember the wack-a-doodle two headed dentist, Candidate Rand Paul and the mockery unleashed by Candidate Trump against the diminutive senator? Senator Rand Paul is now a big Trump fan. What happened? It was the Trump Doctrine at play:
Do what President Trump wants you to do, and he loves you. Stand in President Trump’s way and a MOAB lands on your head.
Remember when Candidate Trump denounced NATO as obsolete? Now NATO is dancing to President Trump’s tune – taking on once-upon-a-time friend Putin and paying up on their dues. Result? President Trump no longer slaps NATO as obsolete. Trump “Art of the Deal-ed” them. President Trump got what Americans wanted – so as long as they do what this American president wants, NATO’s wheel spoke is up.
Remember the Import-Export Bank that Candidate Trump denounced – promised he would destroy? NeverTrump hysterics flow from President Trump’s latest moves on the Import-Export Bank. What did President Trump do? President Trump violated his campaign pledge to eliminate the bank. Or did he? President Trump just appointed Scott Garrett to the Import-Export Bank Board. Who is Scott Garrett? He hates the Import-Export Bank and nothing can be done without his “yes” vote.
China’s spoke on the wheel is up right now because China is doing what President Trump wants for the American people. Remember what President Trump said about China on the campaign trail? For diplomacy’s sake we won’t quote Candidate Trump. As long as China does what President Trump wants, China will be wined, dined, and praised. Until the moment when the wheel turns China is on top. The wheel will turn when President Trump makes more “Art of the Deal-y” demands.
Deng Xiaoping Theory (simplified Chinese: 邓小平理论; traditional Chinese: 鄧小平理論; pinyin: Dèng Xiǎopíng Lǐlùn), also known as Dengism, is the series of political and economic ideologies first developed by Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. The theory does not claim to reject Marxism–Leninism or Mao Zedong Thought but instead seeks to adapt them to the existing socio-economic conditions of China.
Deng also stressed opening China to the outside world, the implementation of one country, two systems, and through the phrase “seek truth from facts“, an advocation of political and economic pragmatism. [snip]
One of the most famous maxims of Deng, dating back to the years before the Cultural Revolution, states that “It doesn’t matter whether a cat is white or black, as long as it catches mice.” In other words, he did not worry too much about whether a person is a revolutionary or not, as long as he or she is efficient and capable to do the job under the socialist economy. (This statement came to stand in opposition to the ideas of class struggle projected into economic relations, the latter being epitomized in a phrase “a socialist train coming with a delay is better than the capitalist one that comes on time“).
China largely owes its economic growth to the pragmatism of Deng Xiaoping’s theory. The task faced by Deng was twofold: to promote modernization while preserving the ideological unity of the CPC and its control of the difficult process of reforms.
If President Trump quoted commie Deng Xiaoping our Big Media would fawn all over sweetie pie commie Trump. President Trump is not commie Deng but there is no doubt that President Trump aides should remember “It doesn’t matter whether a cat is white or black, as long as it catches mice.”
During the presidential campaign Candidate Donald J. Trump stunned many when he either redefined “conservatism” to be what he thought. Remember “I am for free trade but I also want fair trade” that so shocked the conservative priesthood? Candidate Trump especially shocked, when denounced because he was not a “conservative, and responded with “who cares?”
That’s what so many who lament the rise of Kushner and the slump of Steve Bannon don’t get. After the failure of ObamaCare repeal because of the Freedom Caucus, President Trump did his usual “Art of the Deal-ing” moves. Trump immediately declared he was through with ObamaCare repeal, denounced the Freedom Caucus, and announced he would triangulate with Democrats to pass legislation. This shocked the pearl clutchers.
To slap awake the Freedom Caucus and wake them to the dangers of not passing ObamaCare repeal soon, President Trump played his trump card – Steve Bannon. If the Freedom Caucus did not cooperate even with a powerful Steve Bannon cajoling them, then either Steve Bannon is useless in dealings with the Freedom Caucus, or the Freedom Caucus is too contrarian to ever get anything done.
President Trump’s argument is “if this cat can’t catch mice, get rid of him. I’ll get rid of the rats another way.” The threat from President Trump is credible, not because of how he MOABed ISIS or Tomahawked Syria (although that does demonstrate the “#DFWM” doctrine) but because of campaign history. Corey Lewandowski was viewed as indispensable, until Paul Manafort became indispensable, until Steve Bannon/KellyAnne Conway became indispensable. Now Jared Kushner is indispensable.
All President Trump was doing was “Art of the Deal-ing”. President Trump knows Obama Dimocrats won’t help him or the American people to see Candidate Trump’s promises fulfilled. But the threat did some awfully good artful dealing. For all the complaints, the fact is that the Freedom Caucus came forth with a bit more pragmatism and now ObamaCare repeal is once again on the table and soon to be voted on.
Which brings us to Deng Xiaoping again. Something conservative NeverTrumpers should keep in mind. Let’s invert a Dengism to see what President Trump would like to do: “a capitalist train coming with a delay is better than the socialist one that comes on time“. That’s contrary to the postulate of the efficient cat. But it is a warning that the TrumpTrain will roll in the direction of Candidate Trump’s campaign as long as it rolls but if you try to stop it for reasons of ideological purity, then watch out, because the cat in the dark will come back. In other words what matters to President Trump is to get the job done, hopefully in the right way, but whichever way, the job will get done. The job, is Make America Great Again.
Some don’t understand that for President Trump the job is to Make America Great Again, not make ideology or particular leaders, or something or other great again. The threats of scandal thuggery coming from people like Mike Cernovich who are infatuated with themselves, are going nowhere. President Trump does not faint. The well intended warnings about false friends from Kurt Schlichter are best directed at those that think they can use President Trump as their toy.
Schlichter makes some good points about how close President Trump is to total victory and winning, winning, winning. But President Trump is the one who performed the miracle of election and he deserves better than faint praise.
President Trump knows what he is doing. He is at the center of the vortex. We recall when Vladimir Putin was going to be his best friend. Then Putin thought he was king of the hill. So Trump had to MOAB drop the Trump doctrine on Putin’s head.
The same forces aligned against Candidate Trump are still spreading the “chaos” “sell-out” “not a real conservative” narratives to undermine President Trump. But President Trump continues to strike like a TrumpNado for his goal of Make America Great Again.
President Trump is at the center of the vortex and in calm control. Where Big Media and NeverTrumpers see “chaos” President Trump sees the vortex of information flows. President Trump understands the vortex he is in. President Trump at the center of the vortex knows how to use what orbits around him to move in the direction he selects.
America’s enemies, foreign and domestic still don’t see the vortex, the TrumpNado as an intelligent force, moving deliberately to strike.
President Trump is not Barack Hussein Obama. Obama was a lead-from-my-behind asshole. Obama let the problems fester, profit, and proliferate. For eight years the cancers grew. Surgeon Trump will remove the problems.
It is a lot of problems President Trump inherited. Fortunately President Trump is not alone.
* * * * * *
Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley was an odd anti-Trump choice for many when she was chosen by President Trump. But damn, girlfriend has been kicking ass at the U.N.
Agency heads will receive a 14-page memorandum outlining changes. The memo, which replaces the federal hiring ban Trump enacted in January, outlines cuts based on Trump’s “skinny” budget, released last month. The budget proposal called for deep cuts to domestic programs and an increase in military spending.
The memo tells agencies to “begin taking immediate actions to achieve near-term workforce reductions.” It also instructs agencies to develop by June 30 a plan to “maximize employee performance” — i.e., take steps to reward employees deemed effective while working to improve or dismiss weak performers. The memo also calls for delivery by September of an agency reform plan to shrink personnel to accommodate long term budget reductions outlined in the skinny budget.
Speaking to reporters, budget chief Mick Mulvaney said the end result will likely take effect in about 11 months. The executive branch will be dramatically different, Mulvaney said, with agencies operating more like private businesses. Mulvaney downplayed the cuts, saying the focus was on making agencies more efficient, not just smaller.
“Really what you’re talking about doing is restructuring Washington, D.C.,” Mulvaney said. “That is how you drain the swamp.”
“At the end of the day,” Mulvaney added, “this leads to a government that is dramatically more accountable, dramatically more efficient, and dramatically more effective at following through on the promises that the president made during the campaign.”
The White House’s latest instructions to the agencies would appear to bear the fingerprints of chief strategist Steve Bannon, who pledged himself publicly to “deconstruction of the administrative state.”
Jeff Sessions gave a speech at the southern border this week.
It’s Trump time, not weak Obama sleepy-time.
Why does Attorney General Jeff Sessions give such a tough Trumpy speech? Pew Research provides a hint:
Half (50%) of the 165,265 total arrests made by the federal government in fiscal 2014 – the most recent year for which statistics are available – were for immigration-related offenses, such as crossing the border illegally or smuggling others into the United States. A decade earlier, immigration-related offenses accounted for 28% of all federal arrests.
At the same time, arrests for drug crimes fell from 23% of the total in 2004 to 14% in 2014. Those for supervision violations, such as probation or parole infractions, fell from 17% to 14%. Arrests for property crimes, including fraud and embezzlement, declined from 11% to 8%. And arrests for weapon offenses, such as possession of an unregistered firearm, fell from 7% to 4%.
Illegal immigration and associated crimes committed by that population are a cancer on the country. Arrests of illegals cut down the resources that can be deployed to stop other crimes. The answer is not to stop arresting illegals and devote resources elsewhere. The answer is to stop the massive influx of illegal immigration then tackle other crimes once you have established the principle of “rule of law”.
Notice those numbers come from the Obama weakness era. “In 2014, 61% of all federal arrests involved non-U.S. citizens”. Back then no matter how many arrests of illegal immigrants took place, millions more illegals came in to replace those removed. Stopping illegal immigration is the nexus of all President Trump policies. These numbers don’t include state and local government arrests of illegal aliens committing more crimes in this country. You have to stop the bleeding before healing can begin. Doctor Jeff Sessions is on the job.
Secretary of Energy Rick Perry said the U.S. “is in the process of reviewing many of its policies and reserves its position on this issue, which will be communicated at a future date,” Italy’s industry and energy minister Carlo Calenda said in a statement.
Calenda said other G7 members “reaffirmed their commitment towards the implementation of the Paris Agreement to effectively limit the increase in global temperature well below 2°C above pre-industrial level.”
The Trump administration would not sign onto a statement mentioning Paris, since the president is still deciding whether or not to keep his campaign pledge. Perry also wanted the G7 to include support for coal and natural gas in its statement.
“Therefore, we believe it is wise for countries to use and pursue highly efficient energy resources,” Perry said in a statement after his meeting in Rome with energy ministers from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK and the European Union.
Perry specifically pushed for a commitment to “[h]igh efficiency, low-emission coal and natural gas with adequate financing from multi-lateral development banks and private sector investment.”
Perry also advocated for “[a]dvanced civil-nuclear technologies that are proliferation resistant, produce little to no waste and ensure safety.”
“Innovation is also a top priority for the Trump Administration,” Perry said. “We are committed to developing, deploying and commercializing breakthrough technologies and developing the necessary policies that will help renewables become competitive with traditional sources of energy.”
Italy, which hosted this year’s G7 meeting, pushed to include the Paris agreement in a policy statement member countries typically sign after these meetings end. No statement was signed since Perry couldn’t commit to backing Paris.
The Paris agreement went into effect in 2016, committing United Nations members to reduce greenhouse gas emissions blamed for global warming. President Barack Obama committed the U.S. to cut emissions 26 to 28 percent by 2025.
Trump promised to withdraw from the Paris agreement on the campaign trail, and the president has already issued executive orders to dismantle the regulatory regime Obama relied on to meet his Paris pledge.
The White house is split on whether or not to keep Trump’s campaign pledge. On one side, Ivanka Trump, White House aide Jared Kushner and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson support remaining in Paris. White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt oppose the Paris agreement.
Secretary “first neurosurgeon” Ben Carson of the Department of Housing and Urban Development? He might get stuck in elevators, but he knows where he is going:
Ben Carson Finds $500 Billion (Billion!) In Errors During Audit Of Obama HUD
Ben Carson was the first neurosurgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins, so, he’s kind of a super hero.
But apparently, he’s also not a bad accountant.
President Trump picked Carson to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development, whose budget grew by leaps and bounds under Barack Obama.
In one of his first acts as HUD Secretary, Carson ordered an audit of the agency. What he found was staggering: $520 billion in bookkeeping errors.
“The total amounts of errors corrected in HUD’s notes and consolidated financial statements were $516.4 billion and $3.4 billion, respectively,” the auditors wrote.
But there were plenty of other problems, too.
There were several other unresolved audit matters, which restricted our ability to obtain sufficient, appropriate evidence to express an opinion. These unresolved audit matters relate to (1) the Office of General Counsel’s refusal to sign the management representation letter, (2) HUD’s improper use of cumulative and first-in, first-out budgetary accounting methods of disbursing community planning and development program funds, (3) the $4.2 billion in nonpooled loan assets from Ginnie Mae’s stand-alone financial statements that we could not audit due to inadequate support, (4) the improper accounting for certain HUD assets and liabilities, and (5) material differences between HUD’s subledger and general ledger accounts. This audit report contains 11 material weaknesses, 7 significant deficiencies, and 5 instances of noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations. [snip]
So, look for Carson to get out his scalpel and start operating. Or perhaps he’ll use a machete.
Turns out “Gentle Ben” is a Grizzly.
Speaking of Grizzly, as is Mama Grizzly, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley:
On Syria, Israel, Russia, and every other issue, Nikki Haley is “taking names”. She is schlonging the bad boys. Big Media doesn’t like it. Screw Big Media.
Screwing Big Media appears to be the joy of Secretary of State T-Rex Tillerson. T-Rex refuses to take Big Media along with him on his world-wide T-Rexing. Big Media can get their own travel arrangements made is the message from T-Rex. T-Rex has work to do and babysitting the travel of Big Media blowhards is not a job for a mighty T-Rex.
Big Media is a mosquito to T-Rex. A bigger gnat is Russian President Vladimir Putin. Anyone here remember when we declared Vladimir Putin to be a strong and powerful leader? We saw what Putin was up to in Syria and we saw the threat he posed to the world because it is in Russia’s interest to drive up the cost of oil. As we wrote, Putin has his own “operation Grand Slam” just like Goldfinger. That is Russia’s ultimate aim. Russia’s Vladimir Putin is a smart powerful guy who knows that because of instability in the middle east (hey, something could happen to those oil fields in Saudi Arabia if some country lobbed a bunch of missiles to set the whole place on fire) Russia is in position to profit handsomely.
Vladimir Putin indeed was, as we declared, a strong powerful leader. But that is like saying Woody Allen is a strong powerful man – in a roomful of pre-schoolers. Vladimir Putin was a strong powerful leader when the opposition was weak fey simpering apologist America-hating “managed decline” Barack Obama. Now Vladimir Putin is in opposition to President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of Defense General “Mad-dog” Mattis, and Secretary of State T-Rex Tillerson. Up against these is like Woody Allen up against Seal Team Six. All of a sudden you’re not so strong and powerful anymore.
In Moscow a few days ago, President Putin pretended his was not going to meet with his once friend T-Rex Tillerson. Obama Dimocrats opposed the confirmation of T-Rex because they said he was too close to Russian President Putin. But in Moscow, President Putin played games that he would not meet with President Trump’s emissary. In the end President Putin met with T-Rex for hours.
The Putin gamesmanship would have worked if he was up against weak, fey, simpering, lead-from-presenting-his-behind Barack Obama. But against T-Rex Trump, President Putin appeared to be old and weak, playing games long retired. The result of all the games is that T-Rex Trump took all the winnings.
Vladimir Putin is isolated because of his not credible position on the Syria issue. Putin looks either a liar or a fool. He knows it now. China abstained on the U.N. vote and did not veto as would usually be expected. China is also making some very powerful threats against North Korea, as our comments section has noted. Putin against Obama was a towering figure. Putin against T-Rex is a gnat. Putin against Trump is a mosquito.
To all that display of military and diplomatic might, President Trump adds his most powerful display of force. President Trump understands that the most important component of Make America Great Again is economic. To that end President Trump commands Mulvaney, Perry, Sessions, Carson, and even Paul Ryan (something is just not right with that boy) to make America an economic powerhouse.
On Paul Ryan (something is just not right with that boy), President Trump and his allies might have to drop a MOAB bomb on his head to get some work done from Paul Ryan (something is just not right with that boy). Obama Dimocrats too need a MOAB to drop on their heads and President Trump just might do that:
Nearly three weeks after Republican infighting sank an overhaul of the Affordable Care Act, President Donald Trump dug back into the battle on Wednesday, threatening to withhold payments to insurers to force Democrats to the negotiating table.
In an interview in the Oval Office, Mr. Trump said the White House may lack authority to make the payments established under his predecessor to reduce copayments and deductibles for some of the poorest customers who buy insurance under the 2010 Affordable Care Act. Cutting off the payments could trigger turmoil in insurance markets.
“I don’t want people to get hurt,” Mr. Trump said. “What I think should happen—and will happen—is the Democrats will start calling me and negotiating.”…
We’ve written about that before so we won’t beat a dead horse today. But something is not right with that Paul Ryan boy and the Obama Dimocrats need a house to fall on their heads. It might not be a house that falls on their heads. It might be a political MOAB.
As President Trump exercises his muscles across the sea, his domestic muscles grow that much stronger. MOAB is coming.
This is the story of three missiles. One missile is surrounded by 58 other Tomahawk missiles that struck at Syria. Another missile is the heat seeking missile Obama Dimocrats fired at President Trump. This second missile has gone rogue, changed target, and instead of chasing President Trump is now fixed upon Barack Obama’s leading-from-his-behind ass and about to penetrate that well used tunnel.
The third missile? Gorsuch. Neil Gorsuch. Associate Justice to the Supreme Court Neil Gorsuch. That’s the missile with the biggest payload. This multiple warhead missile will keep destroying its targets for twenty, thirty, or forty years.
As we do, President Donald J. Trump expects to appoint more missiles to the high court. As we do, President Donald J. Trump believes there will be four more:
President Trump believes that he will have the opportunity to pack the Supreme Court with five judges, making him only the seventh president to appoint a majority and potentially cementing his legacy and that of the conservative court well past 2055.
Today the Scalia replacement. Probably in June the Anthony Kennedy replacement. The relatively young Clarence Thomas at 71 will resign too and President Trump will appoint a much younger version.
We suspect Stephen Breyer will recognize the ceaseless 5-4 victories will not validate his continued presence away from retirement. After that, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, will succumb to a life away from the court too.
At today’s ceremony at the White House, President Trump slathered Justice Anthony Kennedy with so much praise it reminded us of that line from The Women. As chimes play in “Black’s Fifth Avenue” department store one woman asks “What’s that?” The other woman responds “The bums rush in melody dear.”
Do you hear those chimes sing Justice Anthony Kennedy?
President Donald J. Trump is ready for the Kennedy retirement. Politico has the details:
After Donald Trump wrapped up his first speech to Congress and worked his way through the crowd, he lingered on his handshake with Anthony Kennedy, the 80-year-old Supreme Court justice.
The boom mics picked up their seemingly private conversation.
“Say hello to your boy,” Trump said, “Special guy.” “Your kids have been very nice to him,” Kennedy replied. “Well,” Trump said, “they love him, and they love him in New York.”
While the White House is focused this week on shepherding Trump’s first Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, through the Senate confirmation process, the president and his team are obsessed with the next possible vacancy. [snip]
One back channel is the fact that Kennedy’s son, Justin, knows Donald Trump Jr. through New York real estate circles. Another is through Kennedy’s other son, Gregory, and Trump’s Silicon Valley adviser Peter Thiel. They went to Stanford Law School together and served as president of the Federalist Society in back-to-back years, according to school records. More recently, Kennedy’s firm, Disruptive Technology Advisers, has worked with Thiel’s company Palantir Technologies.
In fact, during the early months of the Trump administration, Gregory Kennedy has worked at NASA as a senior financial adviser as part of the so-called “beachhead” team. Both Kennedy boys were spotted at the White House last month for the administration’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration (Justice Kennedy is Irish Catholic). In February, Ivanka Trump attended oral arguments of the Supreme Court with her daughter. She was a guest of Justice Kennedy. [snip]
Those close to Trump’s judicial-selection process stress that they’re not pressuring Kennedy to hang up his robe, only seeking to put him at ease.
Um, “only seeking to put him at ease” is the bum’s rush in melody dear. Those lines of communication from the Trump family and allies should have Chuck Stumbler and his Obama Dimocrats worried sick.
That list of of potential Supreme Court appointments? That’s also a list of potential President Trump appointments to the Appellate Circuit. Many of those soon to be announced appointments are undergoing F.B.I. background checks. Neil Gorsuch is not the sole move on the judicial chessboard by President Trump. And, after Neil Gorsuch, it all becomes easier for President Trump which is why we understood the Obama Dimocrats would filibuster – even though that was a suicide move.
The exercise of the “nuclear option” returns Senate procedures to what they were 15 years ago. The filibuster was simply not employed for partisan purposes against a nominee who had majority support before Harry Reid started filibustering George W. Bush’s lower-court nominees in 2003. (Infamously, the Senate denied Miguel Estrada an up-or-down vote seven times to prevent Bush from later having the opportunity to elevate the first Hispanic justice.) Reid used the “nuclear option” to eliminate that sort of filibuster a decade later, so perhaps this week’s action should be called “thermonuclear.” [snip]
The next nominee. By filibustering the milquetoast Gorsuch despite the high probability and repeatedly expressed intention of the Republicans to go nuclear, the Democrats have destroyed any leverage they had over the next nominee. Should there be another vacancy under President Trump while the GOP controls the Senate, there will be zero incentive for the President to moderate his choice. It’s not at all clear that Republican senators such as Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and other “institutionalists” would’ve gone along with a “nuclear option” to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a nominee more controversial than Gorsuch. But now they won’t face that dilemma.
Whoever said you can’t win by picking unwinnable battles never said it to Chuck Schumer. Democrats opted to fight the good fight, which tends to undermine future attempts to fight the winning fight. This represents a role-reversal of sorts for Democrats and Republicans. Until recently, conservative legislators played Charlie Brown kicking the football to the role of Lucy pulling it away played by Republican presidents, whose stealth nominees invariably revealed themselves as liberals once on the court.
Democrats nominated just eight of the last 25 justices to the Supreme Court. But because Republican presidents nominated the likes of Earl Warren, William Brennan, Harry Blackmun, John Paul Stevens, and David Souter, liberal majorities ruled the Supreme Court throughout the lifetimes of just about everybody reading this. The phenomenon, captured in the title of Patrick Buchanan’s 1975 book Conservative Votes, Liberal Victories, effectively meant a veto on conservative laws, particularly ones passed at the state level. Jurists nominated by Republicans authored the decisions in Roe v. Wade, Kelo v. New London, National Federation of Independent Businesses v. Sebelius, and so many lesser-known cases whose decisions usurped the rights of states and individuals.
John Stuart Mill didn’t call conservatives “the stupid party” for nothing. But even slow people figure it out, albeit, as their name suggests, more slowly, and conservatives blocked George W. Bush’s suspected stealth pick Harriet Miers and stood firmly in blocking a vote on Barack Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland. [snip]
The payoff for McConnell’s gambit on Garland appears especially generous given the widespread declarations that replacing Antonin Scalia with a consistent liberal vote represented a historic sea change. “The Supreme Court’s Conservative Run Is Over” (Politico), “The Conservative Era of the Supreme Court Is Over” (Los Angeles Times), and “After 45 Years of Conservative Rulings, Here’s What a Liberal Supreme Court Would Do” (Washington Post) read a few of the headlines. What a difference a year makes!
The confirmation of Neil Gorsuch via the destruction of the filibuster is a major immediate and long term victory for President Trump. “Democrats nominated just eight of the last 25 justices to the Supreme Court.” But because of obstruction, their nominees were not ideologically committed and soon moved to the left. From now on that won’t happen. And if President Trump appoints 5 young Justices to the high court, the likelihood that Obama Dimocrats will appoint even a single Supreme Court Justice in the next 25 years is de minimus. Thank Barack Obama and the Mistake in ’08.
I don’t want to jinx anything, but President Trump may be experiencing the best sequence of events since he became president. Just this week, he received bipartisan support for his military strike in Syria, secured Judge Neil Gorsuch’s Senate confirmation to the Supreme Court, had impressive meetings with both King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi of Egypt, caught a break with the Susan Rice scandal, and it appears he has walked away from a successful encounter with Chinese President Xi Jinping — all without knocking it off the rails with a wayward tweet. And it’s not just me saying that, no less than Council on Foreign Relations President Richard Haass wrote that this was “arguably [the] best of Donald Trump’s still young presidency, from [a] successful strike in Syria to confirmation of his Supreme Court nominee.” [snip]
McConnell was correct in saying, “Certainly, this is an important day in the history of the Senate and in the Supreme Court.” And if Gorsuch’s confirmation is the only legacy Trump walks away from office with, it will be a great one.
In politics, just like in golf, luck counts. The fact that Trump launched an attack against Syria while his Chinese counterpart was present and able to witness the aftermath in the media was a powerful stroke of good luck for the White House. In case Xi needed any reminding of just how serious Trump may be about taking action in North Korea, the Syria attack couldn’t have been a better example or come at a better time. By all accounts, expectations for their meeting were low. But reports indicate that Trump and Xi had substantive, mostly positive conversations, perhaps leaving the Chinese president with a lot to think about. [snip]
But Trump’s luck didn’t end there. He caught another break with the Rice scandal being revealed when it was. The story has legs, and it’s become a counterweight to the media’s appetite for a Trump-Russia connection. The unmasking fiasco is distracting from the circus show that is the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation, but it won’t peak until Rice testifies under oath. And at that point, who knows which direction the investigation will take? For now, the intensity of the media’s search for a silver bullet in the faux Trump-Russia connection has subsided.
Um, it wasn’t “luck”. President Trump knows who did what to whom on the Rice story. What is happening now is a theatrical lifting of the curtain and a spot light hitting the culprits. President Trump made his own “luck” on Susan Rice.
President Trump also prepared for “luck” on the meeting with President Xi by hiring some tough hombres who have studied China trade policies for a long time. President Trump also sent top emissaries such as Secretary of State Tillerson to South Korea in previous weeks to pave the way for action on North Korea. As President Xi had his entrée served, President Trump knew what was about to happen in Syria. President Trump knew that the main course at dinner was a lesson to President Xi on what to do about North Korea.
North Korea itself was on the menu.
Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, and Obama Dimocrats, are about to get a fork stuck in them too.
We now have a “Trump Doctrine”. The “Trump Doctrine” has a flag.
The “Trump Doctrine” is 21st century Teddy Roosevelt. It is a doctrine fully compatible with “America First”.
Contrary to the misinformation from some websites and Big Media outlets, President Trump’s latest after dinner activities – as noted in an update to our previous article, is not President Trump fallen prey to the “swamp” or a born again neo-con. Some even dare suggest that President Trump has abandoned his previously stated admonishments against America “nation building” foreign nations or abandoning his pledge to be the President of the United States, not the world. That is doltish and stupid analysis.
President Trump wants his focus to remain “jobs, jobs, jobs”. But this does not mean that when challenged by jackals across the sea (or domestically for that matter) President Trump will take blows upside the head without a forceful response. This lion will not just roar, this lion will bite.
‘Decisive’ Trump uses missile strikes to show Syria and the world there’s a new sheriff in town
For Donald Trump the decision to launch cruise missiles at a Syrian regime air base was a carpe diem moment. One that allowed him to seize on immediate opportunities.
First of all, it broke with Barack Obama’s policy towards Damascus, re-establishing the “red line” his predecessor had allowed the Assad regime to cross. [snip]
Faced with a similar situation, Mr Trump used the crises to prove to Syria, America and the world that there is a new sheriff in town.
And it could not have come at a more opportune moment.
Mr Trump was today holding a high stakes summit with Xi Jinping, the Chinese president. At the top of the agenda was North Korea’s growing nuclear ambitions, with Mr Trump wanting to push a hesitant Beijing into punishing Pyongyang. [snip]
“With this Trump put the Assad regime on notice, and sent warnings to the Putin, Jinping and Kim Jong-Un regimes too,” Gen Allen added. [snip]
In choosing to strike only this target, Mr Trump sent a clear message that this was a punitive response to the chemical attack; and not an effort to remove Assad. [snip]
Qusai Zakaria is a Syrian opposition activist who survived the chemical weapons attack in Moadamiya, Damascus in 2013. I was speaking to him by phone when he found out that the US had launched the strikes.
“Oh my dear God. Oh my God. Thank you so much!” he said, over and over, overwhelmed and overjoyed. “I am going to name my son Donald, if I have one. This man is a hero. He has balls.“
It was a world-wide warning to enemies foreign and domestic not to tread on Trump. As the Telegraph further notes, we are not the only ones that understand that this was a test of the new Trump administration by jackals:
Mr Zakarya said he believed that the chemical attack in Idlib had been part of a new regime push on the province that has become one of the last remaining rebel bastions in Syria.
He said in the days leading up to the attack, the regime had dropped some chlorine gas bombs in the area. “They were testing the waters,” he said.
“These were small attacks but they wanted to see how the Trump administration reacted.”
When Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state, said last week that the Syrian people should be left to decide whether to keep Assad, Mr Zakaria said, the regime took that to mean that the US didn’t care. [snip]
After years of inaction, and perceived American disinterest in the carnage that has seen more than 400,000 people killed in Syria, these strikes will change that, Mr Zakarya believed.
“This is will give Syrian people hope. It’s all about hope,” he said. It’s a new era that shows that America will actually do something. It shows there are real red lines in Syria.”
President Trump will not be gulled into a Syrian swamp. President Trump drains swamps.
Trump’s Syria Strike Sends Not-So-Subtle Warning to U.S. Rivals
President Donald Trump’s decision to strike Syria sent a powerful message around the world — one that could be read very differently in Moscow, Pyongyang and Beijing.
For Russia, it may finally put to rest expectations from the 2016 campaign that Trump will pursue closer ties with President Vladimir Putin, an ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
For North Korea, it was a warning the U.S. is willing to act unilaterally.
And for China, whose leader Xi Jinping was dining with Trump right before the missiles took flight, the attack was a potent sign of the new American president’s unpredictability.
Notice how Bloomberg News shifts their earlier narrative to one that somehow it is a failure for President Trump that he will now not be able to “pursue closer ties with President Vladimir Putin”. It’s a shift in the Big Media narrative that we applauded Ann Althouse for noticing. John Hinderaker at Powerline notices the very same narrative shift by Big Media:
THE NEW YORK TIMES WORRIES ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH RUSSIA
That was then: Donald Trump is a tool of Russia, our mortal enemy. (As of when? Some time after 2012, when the 1980s wanted their foreign policy back.) Trump had business dealings in Russia, has spoken favorably of Vladimir Putin, the Russian regime wanted him elected president, his policies are pro-Russia, his aides probably colluded with Russian spies to steal the election by breaking into Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s email account (or something).
Trump’s recent blistering attacks against Hillary proved how amusing this “plant” theory is. But any tool will be used to bring down Trump’s challenge.
Such is the desperation among certain GOP candidates that they want to believe that Trump is a plant.
Eventually, Trump’s pounding of Hillary in debates and in his massive rallies convinced many Americans, but not the lurid NeverTrump loons, that Donald J. Trump wanted to become President and that he was not running to somehow help Hillary. The NeverTrump dolts, with their constant declarations that Trump was a sure loser in November 2016, never let go of their “Hillary plant” craziness and even unto election night they screamed from their swamps that Trump was a “Hillary plant”.
The “Hillary plant” crackpottery promulgated by the NeverTrump GOP establishment and assorted idiotic GOP websites planted an idea in the left wing hemisphere of the political world.
The left wing loons and DailyKooks grafted a new entity onto the “plant” theory. In their minds Donald J. Trump, President-elect Donald J. Trump, then President Donald J. Trump was – ta da – a “Putin plant”.
As we wrote in our previous article, the “Putin plant” theory has taken a lot of blows lately. Leftists Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone and Noam Chomsky have both mocked the “Putin plant” articles regularly harvested in left wing websites and Big Media outlets.
But the biggest explosive devices to demolish the “Putin plant” theory are the ones launched by President Trump against Syria/Russia while he dined with the Chinese President.
Yup, the Trump is a “Putin plant” theory has gone up in smoke on a Syrian airfield. Big Media will now try to sell the narrative that President Trump threatens war with Putin.
Big Media and doltish websites were wrong when they declared Trump to be a “Putin plant”. Big Media and the running dogs of the left are equally wrong when they sell the notion that President Trump risks war with Russia. As we wrote previously, the recent Muslim terrorist attack on Russia has awakened Russia to the Muslim threat within their own borders. Vladimir Putin might be unhappy that President Trump has exposed the soft underbelly of Russia in Syria. But Vladimir Putin understands that he has bigger fish to fry when Muslim terrorist bombs are going off in his homeland.
Of course, no logic will persuade the DailyKook left that President Trump is anything but a faithful or faithless “Putin plant”. Because of this, the totalitarian left now rejoices that at last they have President Trump right were they want him and that once again – and this time it is for real, “it’s over for Trump”.
For the left, President Trump is about to go down like a harlot at an all night road house. Yes, from “Hillary plant” to “Putin plant” to “Putin pictures” President Trump is about to be framed by naked pictures.
The “logic” of these poxed heads is that now that President Trump has Tomahawked Putin, Putin will release the naked Trump pictures. That’s right. President Putin who the left claims placed President Trump in the White House, only to be betrayed by President Trump as he chowed down with President Xi, will now take his revenge on President Trump and release all the blackmail materials and naked pictures. We can’t wait. We want to see those non-existent pictures.
The naked Trump pictures will show President Trump with two massive brass balls. President Trump’s enemies, foreign and domestic, will be impressed, and jealous.
