The GOP #RepealObamaCare battle is not a battle between moderates and conservatives. It is a battle between liars who voted to #RepealObamaCare when they knew Obama would veto such a law, and those who refuse to lie to the American people regarding #RepealObamaCare.
Likewise the resignation of Sean Spicer as a protest against the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as Communications Director and the public rebuke of Attorney General Jeff Sessions by President Trump are attempts by President Trump to keep his campaign promises.
Further, the Spicer, Sessions, Scaramucci, news and moves are intricately tied to the #RepealObamaCare strategy of President Donald J. Trump.
Let’s look at the Jeff Sessions schlonging by President Trump first. We like Jeff Sessions and think he was an integral part of the President Trump election in 2016 as well as a bright hope for the present and future. But first and foremost Attorney General Jeff Sessions has to do his job.
President Trump appointed Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General. But all along, as Jeff Sessions explained to congress, he knew he had to recuse himself from any Russia investigation because, according to Jeff Sessions himself, the reason he recused himself from doing all of his job was because he was a campaign official for Trump2016:
“I have decided to recuse myself from any present or future investigations of any matter relating in any way to the campaign of the president of the United States,” Sessions told reporters at the Justice Department.
He added that his announcement “should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation.”
The attorney general said he made his decision about recusal after his staff recommended that he step away from any investigation related to the Trump campaign, since he had been involved in the campaign.
Those like us who like Attorney General Jeff Sessions need to understand that his reasons for recusal were well known to him, or should have been known, before he took the job of Attorney General:
“My staff recommended recusal,” he said. “They said that since I had involvement with the campaign, I should not be involved in any campaign investigation. I have studied the rules and considered their comments and evaluation. I believe those recommendations are right and just.”
In a statement following his remarks, Sessions noted that his recusal goes for “any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaign for president of the United States.”
“Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president. How do you take a job and then recuse yourself?” Trump said.
Sessions said he promised at his confirmation that he would recuse himself if his “impartiality might reasonably be questioned.” He said he stepped back from the investigation because it probed a campaign he was involved with.
The Jeff Sessions recusal has ramifications beyond the Russia nonsense. We want a bunch of special prosecutors appointed, but Jeff Sessions’ recusal means we won’t get them unless he resigns. Right now we need a special prosecutor to investigate leaks coming from the Deep State and that includes the Justice Department. We need a special prosecutor to investigate the special prosecutor. But, recusal means no one getting that job done. Special Counsel Mueller must be put on a leash but because of recusal Mueller will do as he pleases and continue his witch hunt of the president.
Much that needs to be done by the Justice Department is not getting done because of Jeff Sessions’ recusal. Attorney General Sessions is doing fine on some issues but he is not fully engaged in pushing the Trump Agenda because Sessions recused himself from many issues that go back to campaign promises made by now President Trump. Between personal loyalties and people we like we will always choose to promote the agenda the American voters voted for. Jeff Sessions (and Deputy Rosenstein) need to consider removing themselves and sparing the president the task.
President Donald J. Trump wants the Justice Department to move rapidly to implement his agenda and that is why he built a fire under Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The AG must either build a fire to get his department moving forward or he will burn.
As to the Sean Spicer resignation and the appointment of Anthony Scaramucci this too is President Donald J. Trump demanding action by taking action. Spicer wanted the job and left when Scaramucci got the job. Those who recall the presidential campaign will recall that President Trump will chop heads when heads need to be chopped. That’s why the President has also reorganized his legal team which now consists of Ty Cobb, Jay Sekulow, and John Dowd.
Recall the last time Anthony Scaramucci was in the headlines. CNN made accusations against him. Scaramucci threatened CNN with lawsuits. CNN ran from the fight and fired top propagandists from the network. In brief, Scaramucci fights tough and President Trump wants fighters:
Three CNN staffers have resigned following the publication and subsequent retraction of a story linking a Trump transition team member to the Russia-related investigations.
Big Media won’t understand any of this. What we see is President Trump ready, willing, and able to fight. And that’s how you win the battle to #RepealObamaCare.
How to win the #RepealObamaCare fight? Um, fight, declare war!
President Donald J. Trump will rally his supporters in Ohio this week. This is a way to force Ohio Senator Portman to vote to #RepealObamaCare now, in the same way Portman voted in 2015 (when he knew Obama would veto) to #RepealObamaCare:
Senator Portman is a liar if he does not vote in 2017, like he did in 2015, to #RepealObamaCare! That’s the message President Trump, Scaramucci and his team, must push forward.
President Donald J. Trump should go to Nevada and West Virginia to campaign to #RepealObamaCare and against the liar senators from those states. Those two senators are liars that need to be called out. President Trump can be particularly effective in both states. In Nevada, Senator Heller is up for election this year. Senator Heller can be called a “liar” if he votes to not #RepealObamaCare. Senator Heller should also be primaried and defeated.
President Donald J. Trump has already made the threat against go to Hell Heller:
Liar Heller of Nevada was for #RepealObamaCare before he was against it:
Expose liar Dean Heller and send him to electoral Hell, Mr. President.
Senator Lisa Murkowski is a liar too:
Senator Capito is up for election when President Trump is up for reelection in 2020. Senator Capito must also be made to realize that she represents a state that voted by over 40 points for President Trump. President Trump should go to West Virginia and call Senator Capito a liar because she ran for election to #RepealObamaCare, but now is against #RepealObamaCare:
Run liar Capito’s ads against ObamaCare against her in West Virginia Mr. President. Senator Capito is a liar!
At the same meeting in which President Trump reminded Dean Heller about next year’s election, President Trump also discussed the illegal Barack Obama subsides for ObamaCare. President Trump has thus far not pulled the pin on this grenade but he has that weapon as a Trump card. Any Senator that does not vote to #RepealObamaCare must be held to account and the President can blame them for the collapse of illegal ObamaCare subsidies. We’ve written about the illegal ObamaCare subsidies before and cited news reports to explain this grenade:
House Republicans also sued and won an initial ruling over the Obama administration’s payments to subsidize health care costs such as co-pays and deductibles for Obamacare enrollees under a certain income level. A federal court agreed the funds were illegally appropriated; the Obama administration appealed that decision. But Trump could discontinue the appeal, and hold that over Democrats in negotiations to replace the law: If he chooses to discontinue those payments, health insurers — which would be on the hook for those payments even if the government funding dried up — would probably flee the markets or jack up prices next year. Millions of ACA customers would likely see their premiums spike and their plans become unaffordable.
“If Trump were to stop the cost-sharing payments, he could send the individual insurance markets into an immediate tailspin,” says Bagley. “It would be an extraordinary hit.”
President Donald J. Trump has a lot of grenades to throw at liars such as Heller and Capito and a lot of Trump cards up his sleeve. If President Trump wants to destroy ObamaCare all he has to do is implement ObamaCare as written and blame the Obama Dimocrats and GOP senators who refuse to #RepealObamaCare.
President Donald J. Trump should also warn the country about government control of healthcare. All President Trump has to do is retell the saga of Charlie Gard and the British run healthcare dictatorship that refuses the parents of Charlie Gard from taking their child for medical treatment at their expense outside of Britain’s dictatorial hospital establishment.
Conservative group warns of primaries for those who don’t back ObamaCare repeal
A top conservative group is threatening primary challenges to senators who vote against a repeal of ObamaCare after Senate Republicans failed to coalesce around a replacement plan.
Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, who now serves as the president of the Senate Conservatives Fund, drew the line in the sand on Tuesday, soon after reports surfaced that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) plans to hold a repeal vote even though it’s already clear he doesn’t have the votes to pass it.
“Republicans have promised to repeal Obamacare for years and now with President Trump in the White House, there is no excuse for them to break their promise,” Cuccinelli said.
“Working with the grassroots across the country, we will seek to identify, recruit, and fund conservative challengers against Republican senators who vote against repeal. If they won’t keep their word and if they can’t find the courage to repeal a liberal takeover of our health care system that has hurt so many American families, they should be replaced by someone who will.”
Any and all Republicans who have lied to the American people about their willingness to #RepealObamaCare must be held to account.
Update: Need more reasons for Shiva Ayyadurai and other pro-Trump reinforcements to go fight against the Swamp in the Swamp? Monday night big red letters on DrudgeReport headlined the news that the ObamaCare repeal and replace died a pathetic death. Um, good riddance.
It took the defection of two more GOP senators (Mike Lee, Jerry Moran) to make it clear to all that the Mitch McConnell/Paul Ryan schemes to pretend to repeal had succeeded to fail. The most unproductive congress in 164 years just hit Ryan bottom.
Are we sad, frustrated, giving up, or otherwise unhappy? Nope. We won’t mope. We’re actually kinda happy. The McConnell/Ryan pretend-to-repeal-and-don’t-really-replace legislative mess heralds what we always thought was the common sense proposal: Repeal ObamaCare first and foremost.
The McConnell/Ryan proposals were a big lie: Johnson’s grievance is with McConnell, who he claims assured senior GOP figures last week that Medicaid cuts planned by the legislation would ‘never happen’ because they were slated to come far in the future.
President Trump is now on board with what we advocated from the first: let ObamaCare collapse then force GOP do-nothings and the Obama Dimocrats to face political death. ‘More Republicans should just REPEAL failing ObamaCare now & work on a new Healthcare Plan that will start from a clean slate. Dems will join in!’ he predicted. Mitch McConnell is now forced, and has agreed, to a repeal ObamaCare bill.
In 2015 the GOP House and Senate passed a bill to repeal ObamaCare which Obama vetoed. It will be illuminating to watch as the very senators and congressmen that voted for ObamaCare repeal in 2015 knowing Obama would veto any such law argue in 2017 that they cannot vote for the very same repeal in 2017 because President Donald J. Trump will sign such a law. This will be the best test on who must be culled from the herd.
If GOP senators and congressmen vote against ObamaCare repeal because now they know President Trump will sign such a law they need to be culled from the ranks of government workers via a primary challenge against them. Bring in Shiva!
In politics, don’t ever give up or get frustrated. There are many ways to get to your goals. Angry at the Obama Dims? Disgusted with the Republican do-nothing establishment that hates President Donald J. Trump? Don’t mope. Fight, fight, fight.
How to fight? Send President Donald J. Trump reinforcements. We mean reinforcements to help – not more GOP establishment blowhards that are “fake pro-Trump” and really hate President Trump and his agenda. So who? Who? Who?
Shiva Ayyadurai in Massachusetts is a strong President Donald J. Trump supporter. Shiva Ayyadurai also knows how to fight.
Shiva Ayyadurai is also further proof of the changes in the GOP since Obama destroyed the Democratic Party of FDR and turned it into a leftist lunacy. Soon after the November 2008 elections, before the 2010 election wipeout for Obama Dimocrats we noted that the GOP was increasingly the party of diversity. We noted how the GOP, unlike the Obama Dimocrats, had male and female Latino governors (Sandoval in Nevada and Susanna Martinez in New Mexico), Governors Nikki Haley in South Carolina and Bobby Jindal in Louisiana both of Indian subcontinent heritage, Latino Senators Cruz and Rubio, women senators along with black congressmen and a senator. It was all part of the monumental Mistake in ’08:
The obvious mistake that the massive “creative class” brains made when they created the Obama monster in a Chicago laboratory was that Republicans would remain static in their strategies and candidates. The stupidity was to think that Republicans would go to sleep and stick to an outdated playbook. Strategists such as Teixeira managed to persuade the gullible “leadership” that even though White Americans would remain a potent electoral force these White Americans could be ignored if they were “lunch bucket Joe and Jane”. In other words, the White Working Class would be ignored and instead wealthy white liberals and their kids would be the only ones invited to participate in the New America.
Warren takes early salvo from GOP hopeful: ‘A real Indian can defeat a fake Indian’
Mumbai-born entrepreneur: ‘I sent her a DNA test kit for her birthday’
Well that line of attack certainly is an eye opener! But can the Scott Brown victory in Massachusetts be replicated in 2018? The polls look bad for Pocahontas so yeah. But who is this Shiva guy?
Entrepreneur Shiva Ayyadurai has thrown down a rhetorical gauntlet to critics of his plan to unseat Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2018: “Only a real Indian can defeat a fake Indian.”
Fox Business Network invited Cambridge’s start-up king on air Wednesday to discuss his realization of the American dream as an immigrant in 1970. Mr. Ayyadurai said that in addition to his seven successful companies and multiple degrees from MIT, his resume is poised to include the role of U.S. senator from Massachusetts.
“I’m looking forward to going against Warren,” Mr. Ayyadurai said. “I know how these elites work. I know I can defeat her.”
The tech-minded businessman, who holds a 1982 federal copyright called EMAIL, added that he was looking forward to the State Convention in April 2018 and the Republican primary election in September.
“In Massachusetts, 46 percent of Democrats have said that Elizabeth Warren should not run,” Mr. Ayyadurai added. “So there’s a significant opportunity here. For me, defeating Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts is driving a bigger blow to these institutions of power right in the belly of the beast.”
But the Mumbai-born entrepreneur (his family moved to the U.S. when he was seven) also went for the conservative punchline regarding Ms. Warren.
“I think only a real Indian can defeat a fake Indian. I sent her a DNA test kit for her birthday and I was very sad she returned it. That’s the issue of a real Indian and a fake Indian, the truth, because there is a woman who actually checked off the box that she is Native American.”
Ms. Warren faced scrutiny in 2012 over disputed claims that she possesses Native American ancestry. She has been mocked by critics as “Pocahontas” and “Fauxcahontas.”
“I think it’s going to be a historic campaign. I think it’s going to reveal a lot of very, very important contradictions that are important for the American public to hear,” Mr. Ayyadurai said.
In Hinduism the god Shiva is one of the major deities. Shiva is the “destroyer and transformer” in Hinduism. Massachusetts might get a shiver from Shiva Ayyadurai and a political destroyer and transformer.
Shiva Ayyadurai is a strong supporter of President Donald J. Trump. Take a look. Send him a few dollars. Check out his website and fight #FakeIndian Elizabeth Pocahontas Warren. Check out Shiva Ayyadurai’s appearance with the tickled pink Stuart Varney:
According to a new WBUR poll of 508 Massachusetts voters, only 44 percent believe the Democratic firebrand, known for her outspoken critiques of President Donald Trump, “deserves reelection,” while 46 percent say voters should “give someone else a chance.”
* * * * * *
President Donald J. Trump’s main goal is to Make America Great Again. To know how to Make America Great Again we have to understand where and when things went wrong. Bob Woodson of the Woodson Center recalls the civil rights battles of the 1960s and understands how the positive changes of those days have been turned into horror by obaminations such as Black Lives Matter. Here’s Bob Woodson on the Tucker Carlson show:
Black Lives Matter is part of a hypocritical race grievance industry, says Woodson. Inclusion not separation is what Woodson advocates. Black Lives Matter has “hijacked the movement”. The high black poverty rates of today is not a legacy of slavery and Jim Crow. Liberal academics made welfare a killer of the black community. The black family has been destroyed by liberal policies. Tell it brother!
Today President Trump begins his three week “made in America” focus on American jobs. President Trump will not only liberate the West. President Trump intends to Make America Great Again. President Trump needs everyone’s help to get the job done. President Trump needs the Bob Woodson and the Shiva Ayyadurai types as well as us to get the job of getting jobs done.
The best thing that can be “made in America” is to Make America Great Again.
Make the F.B.I. great again – arrest, prosecute, imprison James Comey. If Special Counsel Mueller does not immediately raid the homes and offices of James Comey and his partner in crime Daniel Richman (who has now fled the scene of the crime[s] in order to avoid interrogation by the authorities), to seize computers and other materials pertinent to his investigation, then Robert Mueller himself deserves to be investigated by a special prosecutor. Robert Mueller has a decision to make: stand by the law or by his long time pal the corrupt James Comey.
When Robert Mueller was appointed Special Counsel we celebrated. We celebrated because the more Swamp Deep State players come forth to attack President Trump openly, not from the shadows, the easier it will be to take down the Deep State “resistance” to a duly elected President. We wrote, “The more the political establishment swamp tries to destroy President Trump however, the closer they are to their own destruction.” This prediction is comeying truer and truer.
At the time we also declared, “We’re gonna need a special prosecutor to investigate the special prosecutor.” Ain’t that the truth!
We were wrong about one particular detail. We thought the leaker of the Comey memo was Comey crony Benjamin Wittes. We were wrong in that particular instance but Robert Mueller should question Wittes under oath (and seize his computers) to determine if Wittes conspired to leak on behalf of Comey previously.
Because of his self-confession we now know the illegal leaker was Former F.B.I. Director James Comey himself using a cutout crony from Columbia. What Comey confirmed is the extent of Deep State corruption and that we face an attempted coup by the Obama Dimocrat and GOP establishment Deep State against a duly elected President. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich strikes all the necessary warnings about why we believe Special Counsel Mueller is a crony creep of clown Comey:
The most startling revelation from fired FBI Director James Comey’s testimony this week was his barefaced admission that he intentionally leaked details of his private conversations with the president to the press in an effort to prompt the appointment a special counsel.
When asked Thursday by Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine whether he shared the memos he wrote about his conversations with President Trump with anyone outside the Department of Justice, Comey answered:
“I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter – didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons – but I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”
This statement is tremendously important because it completely delegitimizes Robert Mueller’s so-called independent investigation and reveals it as poisoned fruit.
Poisoned fruit of corruption. Robert Mueller must either prove himself via a raid of Comey’s hideouts and computers, as well as the deep holes of his crony friends and computers, or Robert Mueller himself must be viewed as corrupt.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller was appointed though the efforts of James Comey. James Comey wanted to interfere in the ongoing investigations by Congress and the F.B.I. So James Comey corruptly interfered with the investigations and thereby violated the law which prohibits interference with government investigations. Corruption. Jeff Sessions must intervene and demand the resignation of Robert Mueller and prosecution of Mueller and his leaker employment office pal James Comey.
Think about it: Comey was the top law enforcement officer in the nation before he was fired on May 9. Had he felt a special counsel was necessary to investigate possible Russian influence in the 2016 election, he could have requested one from Congress at any time. If he felt his conversations with President Trump warranted additional attention, he could have approached Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein about it.
But instead he decided to do nothing. Comey apparently didn’t think there was need for a special counsel until the Monday after he was fired, according to his testimony.
In a clear act of retaliation, Comey went outside the system and shared secret information with the media via a college professor-friend, in a calculated attempt to inflict pain on the Trump administration. Further, he said he turned all his memos about his conversations over to the special counsel upon his termination – so Mueller’s investigators already had all they needed to make their own decisions.
But Comey knows that the press feed off attacking Trump. He also knows that they have an incomplete, false understanding of the Russia investigation and would therefore gladly perpetuate the false narrative that Trump was somehow under investigation. He saw a chance to cause drama, and he took it.
Yet this is the same person who on Thursday, under oath, exonerated Trump on the Russia question. Collins asked Comey two very direct, simple questions. She asked, “whether there was any kind of investigation about the President underway” and “was the President under investigation at the time of [Comey’s] dismissal on May 9?”
For both questions – under oath – Comey answered “no.”
Gingrich correctly announces the death of the “collusion” angle of the Deep State abuse of power against a duly elected President. Then Newt Gingrich goes for the kill:
But there’s another wrinkle in this story: Comey and Mueller are very close.
Throughout his testimony, Comey described Mueller as “one of this country’s great, great pros,” called him “the right person” to lead the Russia investigation, and said “Bob Mueller is one of the finest people and public servants this country’s ever produced. He will do it well. He is a dogged, tough person, and you can have high confidence that, when it’s done, he’s turned over all the rocks.”
When Senator John Cornyn asked whether anything Comey had testified would “impede the investigation of the FBI or Director Mueller’s commitment to get to the bottom of this,” Comey stressed that the appointment of Mueller was “a critical part of that equation.”
Let’s also not forget that 97 percent of campaign donations from Department of Justice employees went to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. The culture and people at DOJ are predisposed to be hostile to President Trump.
So, what we have here is a fired FBI director, who leaked private material to the press, so he could get his friend appointed as a special counsel in order to take retribution on the President – with the aid of a department full of federal lawyers who would have rather seen Hillary in the White House. And we are supposed to believe this will be an objective, unbiased investigation?
Comey’s testimony – and the situation he orchestrated around it – really show the depths to which the deep state will go – working around Congress, outside of even the federal process – to damage and undermine President Trump. And it perfectly illustrates how sick the system has become. [snip]
Make no mistake: This is not about law and order, it is not about justice, it is not even about any investigation. This is about influence peddling, this is about the search for vengeance, and this is about stopping the revolution President Trump was elected to implement.
This is everything that sickens normal Americans about the swamp.
America is on a knife’s edge. The question is now whether Republicans in Congress will have the courage to stand with President Trump and fight the deep state that was personified in Comey’s testimony Thursday.
The GOP establishment is in cahoots with the Obama Dimocrat Deep State opposition to a duly elected President of the United States. It is citizens who must stand up against the cowardly Comey cronies who strike from the protection of shadows.
The testimony of James Comey proved long on atmospherics and short on ethics. While many were riveted by Comey’s discussion of his discomfort in meetings with President Trump, most seemed to miss the fact that Comey was describing his own conduct in strikingly unethical terms. The greatest irony is that Trump succeeded in baiting Comey to a degree that even Trump could not have imagined. After calling Comey a “showboat” and poor director, Comey proceeded to commit an unethical and unprofessional act in leaking damaging memos against Trump.
Comey described a series of ethical challenges during his term as FBI director. Yet, he almost uniformly avoided taking a firm stand in support of the professional standards of the FBI. During the Obama administration, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch gave Comey a direct order to mislead the public by calling the ongoing investigation a mere “matter.” Rather than standing firm on the integrity of his department and refusing to adopt such a meaningless and misleading term, Comey yielded to Lynch while now claiming discomfort over carrying out the order.
When Trump allegedly asked for Comey to drop the investigation of Michael Flynn or pledge loyalty, Comey did not tell the president that he was engaging in wildly inappropriate conduct. He instead wrote a memo to file and told close aides. He now says that he wishes he had the courage or foresight to have taken a stand with the president.
However, the clearest violation came in the days following his termination. Comey admits that he gave the damaging memos to a friend at Columbia Law School with the full knowledge that the information would be given to the media. It was a particularly curious moment for a former director who was asked by the president to fight the leakers in the government. He proceeded in becoming one of the most consequential leakers against Trump.
Comey said that he took these actions days after his termination, when he said that he woke up in the middle of the night and realized suddenly that the memos could be used to contradict Trump. It was a bizarrely casual treatment of material that would be viewed by many as clearly FBI information. He did not confer with the FBI or the Justice Department. He did not ask for any classification review despite one of the parties described being the president of the United States. He simply sent the memos to a law professor to serve as a conduit to the media.
As a threshold matter, Comey asked a question with regard to Trump that he should now answer with regard to his own conduct. Comey asked why Trump would ask everyone to leave the Oval Office to speak with Comey unless he was doing something improper. Yet, Trump could ask why Comey would use a third party to leak these memos if they were his property and there was nothing improper in their public release.
In fact, there was a great deal wrong with their release, and Comey likely knew it. These were documents prepared on an FBI computer addressing a highly sensitive investigation on facts that he considered material to that investigation. Indeed, he conveyed that information confidentially to his top aides and later said that he wanted the information to be given to the special counsel because it was important to the investigation.
Many in the media have tried to spin this as not a “leak” because leaks by definition only involve classified information. That is entirely untrue as shown by history. Leaks involve the release of unauthorized information — not only classified information. Many of the most important leaks historically have involved pictures and facts not classified but embarrassing to a government. More importantly, federal regulations refer to unauthorized disclosures not just classified information.
James Comey must be prosecuted by Special Counsel Mueller or Mueller will be incontrovertibly exposed as a Comey crony who owes his job to Comey and further exposed as a co-conspirator in a conspiracy to interfere in a federal investigation[s]. Turley correctly notes how Comey corruption taints the entire F.B.I.:
Comey’s position would effectively gut a host of federal rules and regulations. He is suggesting that any federal employee effectively owns documents created during federal employment in relation to an ongoing investigation so long as they address the information to themselves. FBI agents routinely write such memos in investigations. They are called 302s to memorialize field interviews or fact acquisitions. They are treated as FBI information.
The Justice Department routinely claims such memos as privileged and covered by the deliberative process privilege and other privileges. Indeed, if this information were sought under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) it would likely have been denied. Among other things, the Justice Department and FBI routinely claim privilege “inter-agency or intra-agency memorandums or letters which would not be available by law to a party other than an agency in litigation with the agency.” [snip]
Besides being subject to nondisclosure agreements, Comey falls under federal laws governing the disclosure of classified and unclassified information. Assuming that the memos were not classified (though it seems odd that it would not be classified even on the confidential level), there is 18 U.S.C. § 641, which makes it a crime to steal, sell, or convey “any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof.”
There are also ethical and departmental rules against the use of material to damage a former represented person or individual or firm related to prior representation. The FBI website warns employees that “dissemination of FBI information is made strictly in accordance with provisions of the Privacy Act; Title 5, United States Code, Section 552a; FBI policy and procedures regarding discretionary release of information in accordance with the Privacy Act; and other applicable federal orders and directives.”
One such regulation is § 2635.703, on the use of nonpublic information, which states, “An employee shall not engage in a financial transaction using nonpublic information, nor allow the improper use of nonpublic information to further his own private interest or that of another, whether through advice or recommendation, or by knowing unauthorized disclosure.”
The standard FBI employment agreement bars the unauthorized disclosure of information “contained in the files, electronic or paper, of the FBI” that impact the bureau and specifically pledges that “I will not reveal, by any means, any information or material from or related to FBI files or any other information acquired by virtue of my official employment to any unauthorized recipient without prior official written authorization by the FBI.”
Had Comey taken the minimal step of seeking clearance, the department would likely have said that this was FBI information and not personal information. Comey instead decided to ask forgiveness rather than permission.
Comey is also subject to bar rules on releasing information inimical to the interests of his former employer. For example, under professional rule 1.6, lawyers need to secure authority to release information that “(1) reveal a confidence or secret of the lawyer’s client; (2) use a confidence or secret of the lawyer’s client to the disadvantage of the client; [or] (3) use a confidence or secret of the lawyer’s client for the advantage of the lawyer or of a third person.”
Comey actually showed both how to and how not to disclose such information. When Comey released the information, he knew that he was going to be called to Congress where he could disclose this information properly after giving the White House a chance to claim privilege. Instead, he decided to release the information early. Why?
Comey gave two equally implausible explanations. First, he suggested that he wanted to get the information to investigators. However, he knew not only that he was likely to testify but that these memos would inevitably be demanded by both congressional and federal investigators. Second, he said that he wanted to ensure the appointment of a special counsel. However on that Monday, many of us were saying that such an appointment was virtually inevitable. More importantly, he could have given the memos to investigators and properly laid the foundation for a special counsel.
The fact is that the leaking of the memos worked to the advantage of James Comey, not Robert Mueller. Comey was able to take over the narrative and news cycle after Trump had publicly belittled him and his record. Special counsels do not like leaks of this kind. It would have been far better for the special counsel (or Comey’s own former investigatory team and congressional investigators) to have the memos confidentially.
Um, didn’t James Comey lead an “investigation” swamp thing Lynch dubbed a “matter”, against Hillary Clinton for the very reason of mishandled government documents?
If we are to believe Jimmy Comey, he is a self-confessed coward. If we are to believe Jimmy Comey, Special Counsel Robert Mueller is a coward too. Special Counsel Robert Mueller has not seized computers from Comey and his Columbia crony. Special Counsel Rober Mueller is either a corrupt co-conspirator against a duly elected President or a coward – OR BOTH!
Former FBI Director James Comey is master operator on the Washington scene. That is the predominant impression I came away with from Comey’s testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee yesterday. It is an impression that is consistent with his self-serving confessions of uneasiness, discomfort, confusion, cowardice, fright, tongue-tied wonderment and the like. What manner of man (let alone FBI Director) is this?
Comey has met with his friend Robert Mueller, the special counsel appointed to supervise the investigation into Russia-related matters and whatever else strikes his fancy. Comey is Mueller’s old colleague and friend. We learned yesterday that once he was fired by President Trump Comey himself sought to engineer the appointment of a special counsel. Mission accomplished. [snip]
Comey testified that he read the memo to Richman for the purpose of having Richman transmit the contents to “a reporter” (presumably a Timesman).
Why use a cutout? Comey testified: “Because I was weary [of] the media [that] was camping at the end of my driveway at that point. I was actually going out of town with my wife to hide. I worried it would be feeding seagulls at the beach, if it was I who gave it to the media.”
Here the clock strikes thirteen. This is ridiculous. [snip]
What is Comey talking about? And by the way, what other seagulls has he fed? As I say, this guy is a master operator. He is a master operator who can dish out a patently absurd story with a perfectly straight face.
Today fired former FBI Director James Comey stated that he leaked data to a Columbia University friend who in turn provided the leaked information to the New York Times. Comey did this even though he stated under oath in the past that he never leaked information to the press.
The current updated analysis of the most recent list of so-called ‘leaks’ being reported and repeated by the liberal mainstream media (MSM) involving President Trump includes at least 38 leaks in total.
Many of these ‘leaks’ are now proven fabrications and the probability that many remaining ‘leaks’ are completely inaccurate is very high. [snip]
Of the 38 leaks listed below, nine are related to James Comey.
How many of these did Comey actually leak? [snip]
The President has the law on his side. Attorney General Sessions needs to add these entities and individuals to a growing list of corrupt swamp dwellers that need to be brought to justice. Former FBI Director Comey needs to be added to this list.
Drain the Swamp!
The list of leaks is long. Special Counsel Robert Mueller must investigate these leaks. Or is Robert Mueller himself a leaker? Or, as is apparently true as demonstrated by the lack of raids on the homes, offices, and computers, of James Comey and Daniel Richman, is Robert Mueller only interested in protection of his pal and co-conspirator James Comey?
No raids, no seizures of computers and records, point to Special Counsel Robert Mueller as corrupt as his pal Jimmy Comey.
Jimmy Comey aided and abetted swamp thing Loretta Lynch’s successful attempts to aid the Hillary Clinton political operation in 2016. Robert Mueller is in collusion with James Comey in a conspiracy to destroy a duly elected American president. Robert Mueller knows there is no “obstruction of justice” to investigate as it relates to President Trump. If there is “obstruction of justice” the obstruction is from the Comey/Mueller conspiracy to destroy a duly elected American president, especially as we all are now in agreement (including Chris “tingles” Matthews) that the “Russia collusion” lie is now proven so false even Obama Dimocrats have abandoned that sunken craft.
Update: #ArrestComey. Jimmy “Olive Oyl” Comey admitted Obama thug Loretta Lynch interfered in the investigation of Hillary Clinton yet Comey kept his mouth shut when the law requires him to speak out. Olive Oyl Comey also provided a government document to his crony at Columbia University with the intent that the government document be leaked. Jonathan Turley makes the case for #ArrestComey based on 18 U.S. Code § 641:
One of the most interesting new disclosures today in the Comey hearing was the admission by former FBI Director James Comey that he intentionally used a “friend” on the Columbia law faculty to leak his memos to the media. Comey says that he did so to force the appointment of a Special Counsel. However, those memos could be viewed as a government record and potential evidence in a criminal investigation. [snip]
The problem is that Comey’s description of his use of an FBI computer to create memoranda to file suggests that these are arguably government documents. Comey admitted that he thought he raised the issue with his staff and recognized that they might be needed by the Department or Congress. They read like a type of field 302 form, which are core investigatory documents.
The admission of leaking the memos is problematic given the overall controversy involving leakers undermining the Administration. Indeed, it creates a curious scene of a former director leaking material against the President after the President repeatedly asked him to crack down on leakers.
Besides being subject to Nondisclosure Agreements, Comey falls under federal laws governing the disclosure of classified and nonclassified information. Assuming that the memos were not classified (though it seems odd that it would not be classified even on the confidential level), there is 18 U.S.C. § 641 which makes it a crime to steal, sell, or convey “any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof.”
There are also ethical and departmental rules against the use of material to damage a former represented person or individual or firm related to prior representation. [snip]
Moreover, if Comey was sure of his right to release the memo, why use a law professor to avoid fingerprints?
I find Comey’s admission to be deeply troubling from a professional and ethical standpoint. Would Director Comey have approved such a rule for FBI agents? Thus, an agent can prepare a memo during office hours on an FBI computer about a meeting related to his service . . . but leak that memo to the media. [snip]
Comey’s statement of a good motivation does not negate the concerns over his chosen means of a leak. Moreover, the timing of the leak most clearly benefited Comey not the cause of a Special Counsel.
Comey colluded with Deep State leakers to destroy President Trump because Jimmy Comey is a Deep State Swamp leaker. #ArrestComey #ArrestDanielRichman.
Olive Oyl. James Comey is Olive Oyl. A talk skinny bitch always getting into trouble yelling for someone to help her when she is the one that got herself into trouble in the first place.
North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, the Republican chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, asked Comey, “Did the president at any time ask you to stop the FBI investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 U.S. elections?”
The former FBI director replied, “Not to my understanding, no.”
Burr followed up by asking if any member of the administration made this request, and Comey replied, “no.”
Whiny bitch-boy Phony Baloney Comey who investigated, then contrary to the law did not prosecute Hillary Clinton, confessed he too is guilty of the same crimes as Hillary Clinton! Hillary Clinton was investigated for her violations of law in the way she negligently handled classified government documents. Well, Phony Baloney Comey did the same thing only much worse and Phony Baloney Comey admitted his criminal acts with government papers:
Former FBI Director James Comey acknowledged that he orchestrated the leak of a memorandum detailing his private interactions with President Donald Trump during testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Thursday morning.
“I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter,” Comey said. [snip]
He added that he did so in hopes that his account might spur the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the Trump campaign’s contacts with elements of the Russian government, and any subsequent cover up.
So in order to influence government policy and appointment, Comey leaked classified government documents from a law enforcement agency during an active investigation.
Phony Baloney Comey corruptly leaked classified government documents of an investigation because he wanted to steer the investigation corruptly.
Later in the hearing, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) noted that one of the three things Trump asked Comey was: “Can you please tell the American people what these leaders in Congress already know — what you already know, you told me three times — that I am not personally under investigation.”
“You know,” Rubio continued, “this investigation is full of leaks, left and right. I mean, we’ve learned more from the newspaper sometimes than we do from our open hearings, for sure.
“You ever wonder why, of all the things in this investigation, the only thing that’s never been leaked is the fact that the president was not personally under investigation, despite the fact that both Democrats and Republicans and the leadership of Congress knew that and have known that for weeks?”
Good news for the Great President Donald J. Trump did not leak because Comey the whiny bitch did not leak it. Comey only corruptly leaked information damaging to President Trump.
The Comey revelations that he was a leaker explains why as Director of the F.B.I. Comey did not pursue investigations against leakers. Comey corrupted his office to protect himself and other leakers. Comey corruptly leaked to influence a federal investigation. That’s a crime.
The Great President Donald J. Trump schlonged NATO (No Action Talk Only) leaders and is in the process of deep schlonging the G7. The great schlonging of 2017 came after a TRiUMPhant tour of Saudi Arabia and Israel. Can it get any better?
Fear not Trumpeteers, the year of the schlong continues most excitedly.
As the Great President Donald J. Trump schlonged and schlonged again, in Europe and the Middle East, we happy Americans witnessed a schlongfest deluxe. In other words, in the Montana election the Obama Dimocrat got schlonged even as Big Media got schlonged right in the kisser. His name is Gianforte, not pianoforte… GianFORTE. The Great President Donald J. Trump sang fortissimo:
President Trump on Friday praised the win of Republican Greg Gianforte in Montana’s special election.
“Great win in Montana,” Trump said without being asked, according to pool reports. The president is in Sicily for a meeting with G7 leaders.
Gianforte’s win for the Treasure State’s lone seat in on Thursday night came after he was charged for assaulting Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs. The Republican apologized about the incident, saying he “learned a lesson.”
“I should not have responded the way I did and for that I am sorry,” Gianforte said.
Trump has his own contentious relationship with the press, often calling reputed media organizations “fake news.”
Gianforte apologized AFTER he won. Sing it Louise! That’s how you do it. Get what you want, first.
The Gianforte victory was schlongy enough. But in the Age of Trump, victory is not enough. As quoted in the Jami’ al-tawarikh happiness demands more:
This conqueror once asked to noyan Bourgoudji, one of his first generals, what was, in his opinion, the delight of man. “It is, he said, to go to the hunt, a spring day, mounted on a beautiful horse, holding his fist on a hawk or a falcon, and see it cut down its prey.” The prince made the same question to General Bourgoul, and then to other officers, who all answered as Bourgoudji. “No,” said Chingiz Khan [Genghis Khan], “the greatest enjoyment of a man is to overcome his enemies, drive them before him, snatch what they have, to see the people to whom they are dear with their faces bathed in tears, to ride their horses, to squeeze in his arms their daughters and women.“
Conan the cinematic Barbarian declared happiness thus: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!
In the wake of the Montana funeral, Obama Dimocrats fumed at the pyre:
Would've helped if the Democratic Party got behind Rob Quist.
Yup, Shaun, the white black man Obama Dimocrat blamed the loss on the Latino Obama Dimocrat elected to run the corrupt DNC with Obama’s backing. The lamentations came before the election on Huff n’ Puff which thought the Great President Donald J. Trump would get a severe beating:
Montana Is About To Send Trump — And Democrats — A Big Message
The Republican candidate’s alleged assault of a reporter on the eve of the election turned the race upside down. [snip]
Gianforte had a 6-point lead over Quist in a poll released this month by a Democratic political action committee. But internal GOP polling has shifted against Gianforte amid proliferating scandals coming from the White House, conservative blogger and radio host Erick Erickson reported this month.
The election took an unexpected turn Wednesday evening, when Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs accused Gianforte of “body-slamming” him. [snip]
It’s unclear how the election-eve violence may influence Thursday’s vote. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee wasted no time trying to capitalize on it, demanding that Gianforte “immediately withdraw” from the race. [snip]
But a surprise win for Quist would signal not only a rejection of President Donald Trump’s policies but also of the long-held Democratic playbook for winning ― or, more often of late, losing ― much-needed seats in Congress. [snip]
Gianforte is banking on the president’s popularity. Over the past month, he campaigned alongside Vice President Mike Pence and Donald Trump Jr., the president’s eldest son. [snip]
Despite Clinton’s loss and the failure to recapture the Senate, Democratic Party stalwarts have spurned the progressive wing of the party. Party leaders picked Tom Perez, President Barack Obama’s labor secretary, to lead the Democratic National Committee, even after progressive Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) secured endorsements from establishment torchbearers like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). That Perez’s backers touted his progressive bona fides as being on par with Ellison’s raised even more questions about why he should run at all, if not to prevent the so-called Berniecrat wing of the party from gaining power.
The Democrats virtually ignored Quist until late April. Asked about the Montana special election, Rep Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.), the DCCC’s 2016 national mobilization chair, told HuffPost last month he “didn’t know about that.” But as the race heated up, the party began spending more money, tripling its initial investment to $600,000 earlier this month.
“It seems clear that Gianforte’s massive edge in early funding allowed him to attack Quist’s character viciously before there were sufficient funds for Quist to respond to the vitriol,” Jeff Hauser, a longtime Democratic operative and director of the Revolving Door Project, told HuffPost. “If Quist should lose, the national Democrats who provided financial assistance after mail-in voting had already begun will have to question anew their initial reluctance to engage in the race in March and early April.”
Erick the fat NeverTrumper is wrong again. Quist lost. Gianforte banged in a victory. The dreamed of Obama Dimocrat victory against the Great President Donald J. Trump went flaccid.
The Gianforte victory in the grand scheme does not mean much, nor would a Quist victory have meant much because Montana frequently elects Dimocrats to statewide seats such as Governor and Senate (Senator Tester, Governor Bullock). But a Quist victory would have been proclaimed as “it’s over for Trump”. Instead, it’s over for the Dimocrats.
Behold in Montana, it came to pass, that the Great President Donald J. Trump did “overcome his enemies, drive them before him, snatch what they have, to see the people to whom they are dear with their faces bathed in tears.” Obama Dimocrat Tom Perez has some ‘splaining to do:
TODD: So you don’t acknowledge that you should have jumped in sooner? That if you guys come up 2 or 3 points short, you’re going to sit there and say, “Boy, imagine if you actually took this race as seriously as you took Georgia two months ago.”
PEREZ: First of all, the polls aren’t closed yet.
TODD: No you still may win, there’s no doubt.
PEREZ: I feel very good about this. And Chuck, the reality is, he should be up by 20 points. Because that’s how things have happened in the past the in Montana.
TODD: Well, well wait a minute. The state has elected a Democratic senator. Not that long ago, the state had two Democratic senators. Jon Tester has been re-elected twice. It is not a shock that a Democrat is competitive. I was shocked, frankly, Mr. Chairman – and this is more maybe a question directed to the DCCC – I was shocked at the lack of interest in the national party in trying to engage in this race sooner.
The Obama Dimocrats are bathed in tears, their possessions snatched, their horses ridden by the victors, their womenfolk in lamentations, their menfolk in metrosexual angst, grabbed by the wussies:
Democrats Still Struggling To Achieve Any Kind Of Party Unity
Tom Perez’s swear words aren’t working.
The new chair of the Democratic National Committee recently began cursing — “Republicans don’t give a shit about people” — as a way to fire up the base in his attempt to unify the party against President Trump. But in the three months since the Democratic party elected Perez as DNC chair over Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, Perez has struggled to bridge the gap between the establishment and progressive wings of the party.
Perez and the DNC have been especially unsuccessful in convincing their supporters to give the kind of money the RNC has brought in every month. The DNC brought in just $4.7 million in April — less than half of the RNC’s $9.6 million haul over that same time, according to FEC filings submitted by the parties this week. The RNC finished the month with $41.4 million cash on hand, dwarfing the DNC’s $8.8 million in cash on hand.
RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel took a victory lap after the numbers showed the RNC again dominating the DNC in the fundraising game. “These numbers are evidence of the overwhelming enthusiasm for President Trump and the tireless work by Republicans everywhere to ensure we work together to build on our majorities and elect Republicans up and down the ballot headed into 2017, 2018, and beyond,” McDaniel said.
Perez, an establishment figure on the left, has been unsuccessful in winning over the party’s left-wing, where many leaders believe the party has drifted too far right.
Throughout his speech at a Democratic convention in California over the weekend, Perez was heckled and interrupted by supporters of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
One of the groups leading the resistance to Perez was the California Nurses Association, which packed the convention hall decked out in red clothing. The group’s leader, RoseAnn DeMoro criticized the Democratic party for being out of touch with its base.
“They are a party in absolute crisis and denial,” DeMoro told the Sacramento Bee. “They are too comfortable.”
“We are booing because we feel Perez is part of the establishment that keeps co-opting the progressive movement,” protester Gilbert Feliciano told the San Diego Tribune. “The corporatists have an ally with Tom Perez. We felt like it was important to come and voice our discontent.”
The heckling got so bad during Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg’s attempt to speak that the head of the California Democratic Party seized the microphone and told protesters to “shut the fuck up or go outside.” [snip]
That struggle continued last month when Perez was repeatedly booed during what was meant to be a national unity tour for the party.
Heckles and boos are the lamentations of their womenfolk and their metrosexual cisgendered neutered patriarchial clowns.
In the Age of Trump, it is not enough to win. We must hear the lamentations of all their gender confused masses. Pro-Trump transexuals, transgenders, transvestites, gays, lesbians, homosexuals, bisexuals, heterosexual men, heterosexual women, children, dogs, cats, fish, and sentients of all manner observe the confusion in the ranks of Obama Dimocrats, hear the lamentations of the pathetic, and laugh and laugh. While the Obama Dimocrats cry, trumpeters of the Great President Donald J. Trump gleefully observe what few see:
Sen. Murphy: While Democrats’ Focus on Trump/Russia, Republicans Working on Health Care, Taxes
The media obsession with all things Trump and Russia has pushed the nation’s other business out of the headlines, but all the media buzz has served as “cloud cover” for Republicans who are continuing to advance their agenda behind the scenes, said Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut.
“My worry, frankly, is that this has been cloud cover for a process that has continued, specifically on the issue of repealing the Affordable Care Act,” Murphy told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday.
Murphy said Senate Republicans “have continued to meet” this week, as they try to write a health care reform bill to send to the House. “And that has been able to happen without a lot of big public questions being asked because of all this concern and obsession and unfolding story about Russia.” [snip]
“My worry is, is that a week from now we get a bill dropped on the Senate that nobody’s really talked about because the focus has been elsewhere.
“We’re going to have to shift some of this back to domestic policy, because that agenda, I don’t think has stopped while this story has moved very quickly in the last few days.”
At a news conference two days ago (Tuesday), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Republican senators have been having “extensive discussions about the way forward on health care.”
“We’ll be doing that Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — trying to come together behind a proposal to repeal and replace Obamacare.”
And as Senate Republicans work on health care, House Republicans are moving forward on tax reform.
In other words, the metrosexual from Connecticut is in pain screaming “We’re getting schlonged. It hurts. It hurts. It hurts.”
Nearly two-thirds of Americans say the mainstream press is full of fake news, a sentiment that is held by a majority of voters across the ideological spectrum.
According to data from the latest Harvard-Harris poll, which was provided exclusively to The Hill, 65 percent of voters believe there is a lot of fake news in the mainstream media. [snip]
“Much of the media is now just another part of the partisan divide in the country with Republicans not trusting the ‘mainstream’ media and Democrats seeing them as reflecting their beliefs,” said Harvard-Harris co-director Mark Penn. “Every major institution from the presidency to the courts is now seen as operating in a partisan fashion in one direction or the other.”
President Trump has railed against the “fake news” media, casting the press as the “opposition party” and opening the White House to once-fringe outlets, to the frustration of the mainstream press. [snip]
Many conservatives believe the media has dramatically loosened its reporting standards when it comes to Trump, taking an anything-goes approach and running with anonymously sourced material that it would never print about a more traditional Republican or Democratic administration.
A cottage industry of conservative media critics has sprung up online to draw attention to the salacious details about Trump that spread across social media or are aggregated countless times before they’re revealed to be mischaracterized or untrue.
Big Media cut its own throat. All the lies by Big Media have reduced Big Media to ugly Little Liars. That’s why when a Big Media report emerges that would ordinarily destroy the target is published, the public ignores the lies, and moves on to watch the Great President Donald J. Trump live to schlong again.
The Great President Donald J. Trump is currently busy schlonging across the sea. First, it was NATO leaders schlonged in the face and told to pay up their current dues, their past dues, and then mocked for building a colossal headquarters which cost $1.23 billion dollars made of glass. A war headquarters made of glass can be leveled with one truck bomb.
“Twenty-three of the 28 member nations are still not paying what they should be paying and what they’re supposed to be paying for their defense,” Trump told leaders of the alliance countries.
“This is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States — and many of these nations owe massive amounts of money from past years and not paying in those past years. Over the last eight years, the United States spent more on defense than all other NATO countries combined. If all NATO members had spent just 2 percent of their GDP on defense last year, we would have had another $119 billion for our collective defense and for the financing of additional NATO reserves,” he added.
Next, the G7 goofballs and metrosexuals get schlonged.
West Wing officials are prepping for a years-long war with investigators and the bureaucracy, with plans to beef up legal, surrogate, communications and rapid-response teams as part of a “new normal” for President Trump — besieged.
“The White House is embracing the fight, which is going to last as long as Donald Trump is president,” said a Trump ally familiar with the preparations. “We’re getting street fighters ready to go.” [snip]
Trump aides recognize that besides being in the crosshairs of investigators on Russia, they will be the continuing target of leaks from the bureaucracy. The Trump ally referred to this second enemy as “nameless, faceless, deep-state types” who have been inflamed and are punching back through the media.
What’s next: Proposed war-room org charts have been prepared, and final decisions on the structure will be made after Trump returns this weekend.
Jonathan Swan hears that comms/rapid response structures are being considered for both inside the White House and on the outside. [snip]
The backstory: Aides recognize they should have built more push-back capacity from the beginning. But the weakness reflects the minimalist transition planning and thin staffing that have beset the whole Trump machine.
Be smart: The new machinery is an effort to compartmentalize the scandals, so that some officials can focus on probes and revelations while others do their day jobs.
Update II: From our perspective, the news just gets better and better. The latest news, now that President Trump is on his way to Saudi Arabia to conduct the work of president, is that Comey the Clown has agreed to testify after Memorial Day to an open hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
So why are we smiling? For one thing, we will enjoy the moment when Comey the Clown is asked about his relationship to Robert Mueller. Gregg Jarrett has done some great work on this question:
Gregg Jarrett: Why Robert Mueller should resign as special counsel
Robert Mueller has a serious conflict of interest that should disqualify him from serving as special counsel.
He has had a long and close relationship with someone who will surely become a pivotal witness –James Comey. [snip]
How can Americans have confidence in the results if they know the special counsel may harbor a conspicuous bias? They cannot. The conflict inevitably discredits whatever conclusion is reached. It renders the entire investigatory exercise suspect, and it only elevates the controversy surrounding it. [snip]
The law governing the special counsel (28 CFR 600.7) specifically prohibits him from serving if he has a conflict of interest in the case. The rule has been interpreted to mean that even the appearance of a conflict is sufficient for disqualification.
A conflict of interest is a situation in which an individual has competing interests or loyalties. The conflict itself creates a clash between that individual’s self-interest or bias and his professional or public interest. It calls into question whether he can discharge his responsibilities in a fair, objective and impartial manner.
Identical rules govern prosecutors who, for example, must recuse themselves from handling a case against a person with whom they have worked or had a personal relationship. The same would be true if a prosecutor had a close relationship with a witness in the case. The prior association raises the real or perceived possibility of prejudice or favoritism which is contrary to the fair administration of justice.
So what exactly is Mueller’s conflict? He and James Comey are good friends and former colleagues who worked hand-in-hand for years at the FBI. Agents will tell you they were joined at the hip. They stood together in solidarity, both threatening to resign over the warrantless wiretapping fiasco involving then-Attorney General John Ashcroft in 2004.
Comey regards his predecessor as a mentor, while Mueller considers Comey his protégé. When Comey was appointed to succeed Mueller as FBI Director, both men appeared together and were effusive in their praise of one another. Their relationship is not merely a casual one. It is precisely the kind of association which ethical rules are designed to guard against.
We’re gonna need a special prosecutor to investigate the special prosecutor. And we need a whole lotta special prosecutors. Hooray!
Gregg Jarrett’s article should be read in its entirety to see the many questions Comey will be asked after Memorial Day. We want answers, lots and lots of answers. Leftist Trump hater Matt Taibbi at Rolling Stone has lots of good questions we want answered too:
How Did Russiagate Start?
Amid the chaos of James Comey’s firing, new questions about the timeline of his fateful investigation [snip]
If Comey felt the existence of his investigation was so important that he he had to disclose it to DNI Coats on Coats’ first day in office, why didn’t he feel the same need to disclose the existence of an investigation to Clapper at any time between July and January?
Furthermore, how could the FBI participate in a joint assessment about Russian efforts to meddle in American elections and not tell Clapper and the other intelligence chiefs about what would seemingly be a highly germane counterintelligence investigation in that direction?
Again, prior to last week, Clapper had said he would know if there was a FISA warrant issued on this matter. But then on April 11th, law enforcement and government officials leaked – anonymously, as has been the case throughout most of this story – that the FBI had obtained a FISA warrant for surveillance of Trump associate Carter Page.
So what’s going on here? [snip]
What exactly is the FBI investigating? Why was it kept secret from other intelligence chiefs, if that’s what happened? That matters, if we’re trying to gauge what happened last week. [snip]
Why can’t we be told what’s going on? Operational secrecy would be a believable excuse, were it not for the fact that so much else has been leaked. [snip]
A lot of our civil liberties protections and rules of press ethics are designed to prevent exactly this situation, in which a person lingers for extended periods of time under public suspicion without being aware of the exact nature, or origin, of the accusations.
It’s why liberal thinkers have traditionally abhorred secret courts, secret surveillance and secret evidence, and in the past would have reflexively discouraged the news media from printing the unverified or unverifiable charges emanating from such secret sources. But because it’s Donald Trump, no one seems to care.
We should care. The uncertainty has led to widespread public terror, mass media hysteria and excess, and possibly even panic in the White House itself, where, who knows, Trump may even have risked military confrontation with Russia in an effort to shake the collusion accusations. All of this is exacerbated by the constant stream of leaks and hints at mother lodes of evidence that are just around the corner. It’s quite literally driving the country crazy.
The public deserves to know what’s going on. It deserved to know before the election, it deserved to know before the inauguration, and it deserves to know now.
Americans need answers. The political establishment swamp is attempting to destroy President Trump and all Americans need to see what the “deep state” and political establishment is capable of when their power is threatened. The more the political establishment swamp tries to destroy President Trump however, the closer they are to their own destruction.
We have one answer today we did not have earlier in the week. We now know who the leaker of the Comey Memos is. It was Comey’s good friend Benjamin Wittes. Wittes in a long blog article provides a breadcrumb trail into the questions that must be asked of Comey the Clown. In his article, Wittes describes how Comey has personal animus against President Trump. Wittes describes how Comey the Clown tried to use blue curtains to camouflage himself so that President Trump would not notice him. Wittes describes how Comey the Clown despised President Trump. Wittes also describes how Comey loved Barack Obama, the man that actually stopped Comey from doing what he thought was a good idea.
In other words, Comey the Clown, the Director of the F.B.I., despised President Trump even as Clown Comey created F.B.I. investigations that few can explain and which have no reason for being. And now, a bestie friend of Comey the Clown leads an investigation which will focus on Comey the Clown’s circus act. Comey the Clown must be forced to produce all the memos, of which there are many, which Comey wrote. These must include memos written after meetings with corrupt former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and every meeting with corrupt Barack Obama.
We must first light up the swamp then fight the swamp before we can drain the swamp. The swamp thinks it is destroying President Trump. All the swamp has done is emit its methane stink and light itself up for all to see. That’s why we continue to smile.
Special Prosecutor #14 – Clinton Foundation pay to play, pay for influence, Uranium One collusion, what did Hillary know, when did she know it? Seize all correspondence relating to possible collusion and coordination between State Dept and CFoundation, Bill, Hillary, and their staff and associates. Ditto for profiteering in Haiti. Were Hillary’s State Dept disclosures accurate, timely and complete? Do they shake hands with the correspondence, account balances fund transfers and Clinton Foundation 501(c)(3) filings? Did CFoundaiton behaviour disqualify for tax exemption? Are retroactive fines and asset forfeitures in order? Or worse?
Special Prosecutor #15 – Weaponizing of the IRS. Get to the bottom of Lois Lerner and White House coordination, the stonewalling asswipe John Koskinen and all their cronies. Someone needs to pay for the hell they visited upon a private citizen running a small family business turned activist, persecuted by a corrupt government for trying to do the right thing, whose riveting testimony should have put Lois Lerner and Eric Holder behind bars.
Special Prosecutor #16 – Obama campaign 2008 blatant disregard for campaign finance laws, reckless acceptance of foreign monies without limit. Overriding software flags and disclosure requirements, online funds acceptance from foreign donors, false reporting.
Special Prosecutor #17 – Turn over every rock on Eric Holder and Fast and Furious and its subsequent cover-up. Give the gun runners immunity and take down that smug sociopath Eric Holder.
Special Prosecutor #18 (two for one)– Criminal weaponizing of the EPA and Dept of Interior. Ken Salazar’s falsification of expert testimony to shut down the offshore drilling industry. Collusion and falsification of rulemaking to put the coal industry out of business. [snip]
Special Prosecutors #, # and #… Huma Abedin’s multiple jobs and paychecks. Pelosi family real estate corruption and profiteering from acquisition of Presidio government property. Obama Justice Departments illegal bypass of explicit statutes and court orders on immigration. Planned Parenthood’s illegal 501(c)(3) exemption. Obama administration illegal thwarting of FOIA requests.
At least for starters. Much more where that came from. Drain the damn swamp!!
Let’s have many many special prosecutors! Fight fire with fire! Drain the swamp!
The leftist totalitarians want veto power over the voters and they use the deep state to try to overthrow a president the voters elected. Fortunately President Trump is a fighter and Trump voters are fighters too.
We are happy. We like the latest news. Yes, like many after the latest of the ceaseless Big Media/Establishment attacks against President Trump, we mostly turn off the TV news and almost never even bother watching Fox News (maybe that’s why they have fallen to third place in the ratings after years of being #1). But overall, we like what is happening. As we wrote previously in praise of the clarity of war:
Real wars, like a good thunderstorm, clear the air. We need a real war. We need several real wars. Let’s go to war.
Let Trump Be Trump! We thought President Trump should have begun to wage all out war from the first day of his presidency. But President Trump wanted to try other options. President Trump wanted to play nice. President Trump wanted to work with the establishment. It was a nice try, but its time to end the nice guy act because nice guys finish last.
On March 5 of this year we called for a “truth commission”. America really needs a “truth commission”. Lot’s and lots of “truth commissions”. We also need special prosecutors. Lots and lots of special prosecutors.
In our March 5 call for a “truth commission” we made some mistakes. Some of the truth commissions we asked for should really be special prosecutors. Back in March we noted the three Muslim brothers who allegedly stole intelligence information from their workplace – which happened to be the U.S. Capitol. We need a special prosecutor to prosecute the three Muslim brothers as well as potential crimes of Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Joaquin Castro, Tammy Duckworth and other Obama Dimocrats who at the very least are guilty of negligence. Special prosecutors #1 and #2.
In that same article we called for a special prosecutor to investigate Barack Obama. Make that special prosecutorS to investigate Barack Obama. Did Barack Obama “wiretap” Donald J. Trump, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul? That’s special prosecutor #3.
What about the story of Barack Obama and the bribes from Syrian crook Antoin “Tony” Rezko? Did the Syrians use Rezko to blackmail Obama into his disastrous Syrian “policy”? Special prosecutor #4.
Did Iranian Valerie Jarrett secretly assist the Iranian government? Special prosecutor #5.
President Donald J. Trump tried to move forward with his agenda and let Obama wallow in his misery. That was a strategic and tactical mistake. Barack Obama is a cancer on the presidency and on America. President Donald J. Trump must remove the cancer in its entirety.
The Russia nonsense? All the noise about Russia has been a way for Barack Obama to undermine President Trump.
We detailed all these potential crimes back in March. As we wrote back then, President Trump was and is entirely too kind and unforgiving. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Special prosecutors please, President Trump!
Seth Rich, slain DNC staffer, had contact with WikiLeaks, say multiple sources
The Democratic National Committee staffer who was gunned down on July 10 on a Washington, D.C., street just steps from his home had leaked thousands of internal emails to WikiLeaks, investigative sources told Fox News.
A federal investigator who reviewed an FBI forensic report — generated within 96 hours after DNC staffer Seth Rich’s murder — detailing the contents Rich’s computer said he made contact with WikiLeaks through Gavin MacFadyen, a now-deceased American investigative reporter, documentary filmmaker, and director of WikiLeaks who was living in London at the time.
“I have seen and read the emails between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks,” the federal investigator told Fox News, confirming the MacFadyen connection. He said the emails are in possession of the FBI, while the stalled case is in the hands of the Washington Police Department. [snip]
The federal investigator, who requested anonymity, said 44,053 emails and 17,761 attachments between Democratic National Committee leaders, spanning from January 2015 through late May 2016, were transferred from Rich to MacFadyen before May 21.
On July 22, just 12 days after Rich was killed, WikiLeaks published internal DNC emails that appeared to show top party officials conspired to stop Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont from becoming the party’s presidential nominee. That controversy resulted in Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigning as DNC chairperson. A number of Sanders supporters refused to back party nominee Hillary Clinton, and some subsequently formed groups to work against Clinton and the party.
WikiLeaks leader Julian Assange has stopped short of identifying Rich as the source of the emails, but has taken a keen interest in the case, and has not denied working with Rich.
“WikiLeaks has decided to issue a US$20k reward for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich,” the organization announced. [snip]
“My investigation shows someone within the D.C. government, Democratic National Committee or Clinton team is blocking the murder investigation from going forward,” Wheeler told Fox News.
A DNC staffer who it is alleged transferred thousands of emails to Wikileaks was killed in a mostly crime free affluent Bloomingdale neighborhood for a “robbery” yet neither his wallet, cell phone, keys, watch, nor $2000 necklace was taken from him. No run of the mill criminal is that incompetent. Special prosecutor #9.
The Seth Rich murder reminds us that the DNC refused to allow the F.B.I. to see the computer servers allegedly hacked by Wikileaks. Special prosecutor #10.
Back to Seth Rich, after he was shot D.C. police arrived at the crime scene in three minutes. Seth Rich was conscious. The police had automatic recorders on them yet none of those recordings have been released nor what Seth Rich told them released to the public. Footage from a security camera on a market on the corner has not been released either. D.C. police cannot be trusted. Special prosecutor #11.
Obama Dimocrats call for special prosecutors when there is no evidence or suggestion of a crime other than in their fevered imaginations. There is certainly plenty in the Seth Rich murder to warrant a special prosecutor especially under the low standards of Obama Dimocrats.
Report: Justice Scalia Believed Supreme Court was Being Surveilled by Obama (VIDEO)
Judge Andrew Napolitano, Fox News senior judicial analyst, went on FOX Business Network on Monday to discuss allegations Senator Rand Paul and another senator were under surveillance by the Obama administration.
Napolitano also dropped a bomb on the Obama administration spying on the US Supreme Court.
Judge Napolitano: Justice Scalia told me that he often thought the court was being surveilled. And he told me that probably four or five years ago…If they had to unmask Senator Paul’s name to reveal a conversation he was having with a foreign agent and the foreign agent was hostile to the United States they can do that. That’s not what he’s talking about. They’re talking about unmasking him when he’s having a conversation with his campaign manager when he’s running in the Republican primary.
During the discussion Judge Napolitano also said Barack Obama could be subpoenaed to testify if he viewed the unmasked intelligence.
Special prosecutor #13: not Seth Rich, but the ghost of Marc Rich, is all about Comey:
It was Comey that closed down the Marc Rich investigation in June 21, 2002 (the Twitter date is incorrect and we post the correct date). It was Comey that shut down the Hillary Clinton investigation in 2016. Comey was also the deputy counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee. And it is Comey that requires a special prosecutor to untangle his connections:
Former Bush AG On Comey’s 2007 Brush With Scandal: ‘Jim’s Loyalty Was More To Chuck Schumer’
This isn’t the first time James Comey placed himself at the center of a partisan attempt to oust a top Republican. He did the same thing in 2007. [snip]
In fact, the current episode is not the first time Comey and his associates plotted to oust a sitting Republican official through highly orchestrated political theater and carefully crafted narratives in which Comey is the courageous hero bravely fighting to preserve the rule of law. To understand how Comey came to be FBI director in the first place, and how he operates in the political arena, it is important to review the last scandal in which Comey had a front-row seat: the 2007 U.S. attorney firings and the fight over the 2004 reauthorization of Stellar Wind, a mass National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance program designed to mitigate terrorist threats in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.
It’s a long story that merits a full reading – by a special prosecutor!
As to the latest Comey narrative dictated to and published by the New York Times this is what we recently wrote, before the latest “it’s over for Trump” hysteria:
Throughout the presidential campaign in 2015/2016 then candidate Donald J. Trump spoke to huge rallies of supporters who shouted “Lock Her Up!!!” Once candidate Donald J. Trump won the election because of his victories in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, President-Elect Donald J. Trump’s heart softened, along with, some would argue, his head. No longer did President-Elect Donald J. Trump want to “Lock Her Up!!!” President-Elect Donald J. Trump sweetly declared that he did not want to see his vanquished opponent dragged off to prison in an orange outfit which few can pull off fashion-wise.
So is it possible that President Trump sweetly questioned whether Mike Flynn had suffered enough and that he did not want to “Lock Him Up”? Yeah, it’s possible and not a crime nor obstruction of anything but Chuck Schumer’s bowels.
Big Media is in “peak meltdown” against President Trump. The Obama Dimocrats are in full hate against President Trump. The Republican establishment continues to passive-aggressively attack President Trump and even openly oppose President Trump:
Earlier Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he’s prepared to block Trump on many of his proposed budget cuts and won’t support major tax cuts that add to the deficit. Nor would he commit to building Trump’s border wall.
That McConnell stab in the back sent the stock markets reeling downwards. Senator Jeff Flake and other GOP creeps offered snarky attacks. Speaker Paul Ryan (something is wrong with that boy) remained the passive-aggressive poster boy against President Trump. Up and down, the GOP establishment guns are aimed at the political outsider that is now President.
Typically, Newt Gingrich slaps down McConnell and Paul Ryan (something is wrong with that boy). Newt reminds them all that 2018 is coming:
Newt Gingrich tells GOP Congress to fight for Trump, or else Democrats will take power
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a close ally of President Trump, said it’s time for Republicans in Congress to either “surrender or fight” for the president. But surrender, he said, would bring House Democrats and their leader, Nancy Pelosi, to power.
“Republicans in general — not just Trump — are in a crossroads,” Gingrich said in an interview. “And if they don’t get their act together, Pelosi is going to become speaker and she’s going to impeach Trump. That’s how big the stakes are.”
Gingrich presumes that the GOP wants to be in the majority. There is an argument to be made that Paul Ryan (something is wrong with that boy) and McConnell are more comfortable with Obama Dimocrat control than outsider President Trump.
While nervous nellies and pearl clutchers clutch pearls nervously, we smile at all this.
We smile because although President Trump was correct to try to work with the establishment, we suspected that would never work well for him. That time of niceness is over. Others suspect that it is time for Trump to be Trump and rally his friends to him:
When you talk to Trump loyalists, they tell you that the president is surrounded by a slew of opportunist, conniving, disloyal staffers who are serving themselves and not the man who won on Election Day.
One Trump transition official griped to me Tuesday, “He left all the people who like him out of the White House.” [snip]
My understanding, though, is that much of the staff is skeptical towards if not outright hostile to the president. And the consequences of the shared dislike have been devastating, among them a slew of leaks that has kept the administration on the defensive and unable to pursue the agenda of the president. Trump is hardly able to have a conversation or meeting at the White House that doesn’t somehow get retold to the press within days. The more embarrassing the scoop, the better. [snip]
The president has also been ill-served by holdovers from the previous president, whose allegiances do not align with the president’s own. [snip]
To be sure, there are plenty of people who both love and respect Trump. But for some odd reason they are outnumbered in this White House.
As the transition official recommended, “[Trump] needs to put in the people he can trust, the ones who were there with him from the beginning.”
“He brought in the swamp,” the official added.
What will President Trump do? President Trump will do what he always does. Fight:
President Donald Trump turned a Coast Guard commencement into a media-bashing exercise on Wednesday as he returned fire on news outlets accusing him of sharing classified information and interfering in an FBI investigation.
‘No politician in history, and I say this with great surety, has been treated worse or more unfairly,’ Trump protested. ‘You can’t let them get you down. You can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams,’ the president said.
He added: ‘I guess that’s why I won.’ [snip]
‘The people understand what I’m doing, and that’s the most important thing,’ he contended. ‘I didn’t get elected to serve the Washington media or special interests. I got elected to serve the forgotten men and women of our country, and that’s what I’m doing.’
‘I will never stop fighting for you, and I will never stop fighting for the American people. ‘
Trump was presented with a ceremonial saber during the commencement exercises.
As he returned to his seat, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly was heard on an open mic telling him: ‘Use that on the media, sir.’
Hillary Clinton has disappeared. President Trump fired F.B.I. Director Jim Comey and Hillary Clinton has remained absolutely quiet. We’ll explain why, now.
To this kindness, Hillary Clinton replied with some trepidation. Hillary Clinton first vowed to help President Trump succeed. That was Phase I of Hillary into the woods.
Into the woods went Hillary Clinton looking for the magic items to make her wishes come true. Then came Phase II of Hillary and her magic beans.
The magic beans were the bean soup of excuses Hillary Clinton made to herself and Big Media to explain away her stunning loss to the guy that Big Media hated and that had held absolutely zero elected office. But the complete Phase II of Hillary Clinton’s Grimm Fairy Tales began the day Donald J. Trump became President Donald J. Trump and President Donald J. Trump appeared with F.B.I. Director James Comey who appeared to be secure in his job.
F.B.I. Director James Comey was a fool to believe his job was secure just because he appeared at a staged event with President Donald J. Trump. But an even bigger fool was Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton believed James Comey would remain F.B.I. Director. James Comey had protected Hillary during the presidential campaign by (1) not indicting Hillary with the false excuse that the law to prosecute required “intent”; (2) providing immunity to many top Hillary aides without getting anything in return; (3) never putting Hillary Clinton under oath and never recording on video the “interrogation” of the supposed “winner” which could be seen repeatedly on television just before the election of 2016.
Hillary Clinton believed James Comey would remain F.B.I. Director and therefore she was safe from further prosecution. Apparently Hillary Clinton never saw Donald J. Trump’s reality show “Apprentice” nor “Celebrity Apprentice”. Just because President Trump appeared with Comey for a televised event did not mean Comey would not be fired.
At that point Hillary Clinton came out of the woods to attack President Trump. Phase II was a “blame the Russians” excuse mongering to attack the legitimacy of President Trump’s election and also to try to rally the losers who voted for her.
Phase III of Hillary Clinton’s descent into madness was her declaration that she was about to start a political action committee called “Onward Together” as a rerun of her failed “Stronger Together”.
“Onward Together” was Hillary Clinton’s most fatal mistake. She now faces prison and a life wearing a hideously unfashionable orange jumpsuit.
Shortly after Hillary Clinton raised her head to announce “Onward Together”, F.B.I. Director James Comey lost his head in a reality show called “Loser Clown Apprentice” hosted by President Donald J. Trump.
Hillary had once again miscalculated badly. Hillary should have taken President Trump’s act of grace in not prosecuting her as a gift. Instead Hillary calculated that she was safe with Comey and that she could attack President Trump.
Hillary Clinton should have breathed a sigh of relief that she would not be imprisoned and found a way to make her life with granddaughter Charlotte happy. Instead Hillary Clinton chose to “resist, insist, persist, enlist”. Somehow Hillary forgot about the Inspector General.
So why is Hillary Clinton hiding now that James Comey lost his battle with President Trump? Because there is an Inspector General investigation which likely means a Hillary indictment.
There are two Inspector General investigations at the F.B.I.
The first investigation is to determine whether the F.B.I. conducted the Hillary Clinton email investigation competently and according to law and the rules of the F.B.I. The second investigation by the Inspector General is to determine whether now acting F.B.I. Director McCabe acted ethically when he refused to recuse himself from the Hillary Clinton investigations because his wife who ran for political office in 2016 accepted donations from Hillary Clinton friends and cronies. In addition Acting Director McCabe did not disclose his wife’s involvement in political office seeking and donation fundraising. The investigations of the Inspector General are mostly ignored by Big Media even as the consequences of the investigations pose massive ramifications for Comey and Hillary:
FBI ACTING DIRECTOR ANDREW MCCABE ALSO BEING INVESTIGATED OVER CLINTON EMAILS
Following President Donald Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday, Andrew McCabe, the deputy director, will temporarily lead the bureau. The president dismissed Comey because of his handling of the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, according to a memorandum by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, but McCabe is also under scrutiny for his involvement in the Clinton emails matter.
The U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General announced in January that in response to requests from members of Congress, organizations and the public, it was opening a review of the FBI’s handling of the Clinton matter. Among the aspects that the office said it would review were “allegations that the FBI deputy director should have been recused from participating in certain investigative matters.” [snip]
“FBI’s senior leadership should never have allowed that appearance of a conflict to undermine the bureau’s important work…. If Mr. McCabe failed to avoid the appearance of a partisan conflict of interest in favor of Mrs. Clinton during the presidential election, then any participation in this inquiry creates the exact same appearance of a partisan conflict of interest against Mr. Trump,” Grassley said. [snip]
Comey was also a subject of the inspector general probe, and the review will likely continue without him, Michael Bromwich, who was inspector general under Bill Clinton, told Newsweek Tuesday night. Bromwich told Newsweek in March that a review of this scope will perhaps take at least a year and involve interviewing witnesses and reviewing electronic communications. The office will then provide its findings to the Justice Department and to the public, and the department will decide on sanctions, which could be suspension or termination.
McCabe has real problems with these investigations. But Comey, even though his head is rolling down a hill somewhere, has bigger problems:
The Justice Department inspector general will review broad allegations of misconduct involving FBI Director James B. Comey and how he handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s email practices, the inspector general announced Thursday.
The investigation will be wide-ranging, encompassing Comey’s various letters and public statements on the matter and whether FBI or other Justice Department employees leaked nonpublic information, according to Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.
The inspector general’s announcement drew praise from those on both sides of the political aisle and again put a spotlight on Comey, who emerged as a controversial figure during the 2016 race. [snip]
Comey has also been criticized for months by former Justice Department officials for violating the department’s policy of avoiding any action that could affect a candidate close to an election. President-elect Donald Trump has notably declined to commit to keeping the FBI director.
Brian Fallon, a former Clinton campaign spokesman, praised the investigation Thursday. [snip]
Horowitz wrote that his inquiry will extend back to at least July — when Comey announced he was recommending the Clinton case be closed without charges. [snip]
And he said he would also probe whether Peter Kadzik, the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for legislative affairs, “improperly disclosed non-public information to the Clinton campaign and/or should have been recused from participating in certain matters.” Kadzik used to be the lawyer for Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, and WikiLeaks released hacked emails showing communications between the two men about the State Department’s review of Clinton emails for Freedom of Information Act purposes. [snip]
The tarmac meeting could be encompassed in the investigation of possible leaks of information, and Horowitz wrote that his investigators would consider “other issues that may arise during the course of the review.”
Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R- Iowa), chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, took note of the omission.
“It’s good to hear that the Inspector General agreed to my request to look at multiple concerns that I raised throughout the investigation,” Grassley said in a statement. “Conspicuously absent, though, is any specific reference to the Attorney General’s failure to recuse herself from the probe, particularly after her meeting with former President Clinton. It’s in the public interest to provide a full accounting of all the facts that led to the FBI and Justice Department’s decision-making regarding the investigation.”
This is deadly stuff and explains why Hillary Clinton is back in the woods, not heard from since Comey was schlonged by President Donald J. Trump.
Hillary Clinton is back in the woods because she understands that an F.B.I. Inspector General report that declares Comey and McCabe acted either illegally, unethically, or in violation of rules and regulations PUTS HER IN GREAT PERIL. If the Inspector General concludes the Hillary Clinton email investigation was improperly, illegally, or unethically, handled, then the obvious course will be that the Hillary Clinton investigation will be reopened. Hillary Clinton better get ready to wear orange jumpsuits even Martha Stewart could not fashionably wear.
Hillary Clinton should have been grateful to President Trump when he declared he did not want to “Lock Her Up!!!” Instead Hillary miscalculated that Comey would protect her.
In all this President Donald J. Trump revealed his other secret weapon! English is President Donald J. Trump’s superpower #1. President Trump has two other superpowers for us to consider today.
Consider this entire Comey/Hillary episode. President Trump was generous when he put aside “Lock Her Up” as an aim. Hillary Clinton in Phase I promised to help President Trump. Then in Phases II and III Hillary Clinton lost her mind and decided she was safe with Comey at the F.B.I. and therefore could attack President Trump.
How did President Trump respond? He let the dogs run wild in Phase I and II of Hillary’s miscalculations. Then in Phase III, President Trump struck.
Trump adviser vows to release video of Hillary’s concession
A key member of President Trump’s communication team says he has video of Hillary Clinton’s concession call and is promising to release it in the near future.
On Tuesday, Trump’s social media director, Dan Scavino, tweeted a screenshot of a telephone call Clinton aide Huma Abedin made to Kellyanne Conway on election night to concede. The photo shows a two-minute call from Abedin at 2:30 a.m., with her telephone number blurred out.
This is a clever attack against Hillary Clinton’s political posturing. First Hillary Clinton said she would not question the election results – then Hillary Clinton questioned the election results and blamed everyone and everything except her “muddled message mess” of a campaign. In one fell swoop President Trump calls out Hillary Clinton’s hypocrisies as well as dominates the news cycle the moment the video/audio of the concession calls are made public.
President Trump has an amazing capacity to gauge reality. Donald J. Trump was a reality show star. But in the greatest game of reality TV President Donald J. Trump is King of Reality.
President Trump fired Comey in a most unexpected and most unusual manner. It was a transcontinental schlonging. Big Media, the left, the kingdom of kooks, went mad, hysterical! And that is how President Trump wins.
No need to restate all the madness of Big Media and the left at President Trump’s removal of Comey. Anderson Cooper rolled his eyes, “it’s a coup”, “Trump will be impeached in 30 days”, Trump will be impeached in 15 days”, “IT’S OVER FOR TRUMP, IT’S OVER FOR TRUMP, IT’S OVER FOR TRUMP, IT’S OVER FOR TRUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The president has wormed his way out of far worse jams.
The permanent crisis that is the Trump administration broke new, deeper ground on Tuesday afternoon as Baby Donald sacked FBI Director James Comey, whose sleuthing into connections between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia had discomposed him. The public uproar sounded immediately, as the cable channels went Full Bore Blitzer in their coverage and nearly every commentator and anchor (outside of the Fox News Channel) spotted the parallels between the Comey canning and President Richard Nixon’s Saturday Night Massacre, the 1973 firing of an independent special prosecutor snooping into his Watergate misconduct and crimes. [snip]
The Comey affair surpasses all previous Trump-devised news events in part because it came so unexpectedly. [snip]
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin went falsetto in his outrage, correctly noting that Trump’s given rationale for the firing—Comey’s handling of the Clinton email case last summer—was a tissue-thin pretense: He had decided Comey must go and assigned the backing documentation to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. That the president had the right to fire Comey didn’t make the firing at this junction right, Democrats, a scattering of Republicans, and the non-Fox commentariat howled, setting the stage for what promises to be a weeks-long news festival of accusations and recriminations. [snip]
Of course, an entire Zappos warehouse of shoes may drop, but Trump knows from experience that he can still bend the news arc in his direction and take the news edge off his lawful act with a well-timed wrist flick. [snip]
The usual Trump Twitter bullshit, which he resorted to Wednesday morning, won’t be enough to stay the criticisms and calls for an independent counsel. [snip]
As I write, there are 32 Comey stories above the fold at CNN.com.
The current crisis is a case in point. Trump’s wits have allowed him to survive worse crises than this. File today’s New York Times and Washington Post in a safe place and revisit them this time next month. Trump may eventually face the comeuppance his foes dream of, but not over shoving Comey out the door.
That insult heavy “analysis” does not fully understand why President Trump will outlive “it’s over for Trump” heave hos. Why will President Trump survive and thrive? Why has President Trump, like candidate Trump, survived and thrived? Because President Trump’s view of reality is congruent with reality.
What astonishes is that not only does President Trump see reality, President Trump acts boldly on his vision of reality. President Trump succeeds because what Trump sees as reality is reality.
Do Americans share Big Media’s hysteria over Comey? Even leftist Big Media sees the non-writing on the FaceBook wall:Despite the wall-to-wall media coverage, most Americans — according to Facebook interactions — cared less about James Comey being fired than other big moments so far in the Trump administration.
The F.B.I.? Consider this: FBI Gives Hollywood Hacking Victims Surprising Advice: “Pay the Ransom” Hacking is a major and growing problem and the F.B.I. does not inspire confidence at all in any of this. Hacking, emails, F.B.I. says “pay the ransom”. Is that what the F.B.I. did with Hillary? Does the F.B.I. think the anti-Trumpers there can win against President Trump if the F.B.I. Trump haters there attack the President? All an F.B.I. or Comey attack against President Trump will prove is that many in the F.B.I. are using their legal powers illegally to act politically. Result will be Trump makes his point and wins again.
Consider all the news other than Comey the Clown related news from these past few days. Remember way back to last week when Obama Dimocrats giddily proclaimed the Republicans would lose the 2018 elections because of ObamaCare repeal? Then reality hit. Aetna is pulling out of ObamaCare. Premiums will rise dramatically. Disaster for Obama Dims. Trump got reality right (ObamaCare is in a death spiral). Obama Dims got reality kooky (and don’t care ObamaCare is in a death spiral).
With the latest departures, more than 40 percent of U.S. counties would have only one insurer selling coverage on their marketplaces for next year, according to data compiled by The Associated Press and the consulting firm Avalere. That assumes no other insurers leave and none step in by the time customers start shopping for coverage in the fall.
These state-based marketplaces, known as exchanges, were established by the Affordable Care Act as a place for customers to compare prices and buy coverage, often with help from income-based tax credits. They provided coverage for about 12 million people this year.
The idea was that competition for customers would keep prices low. But insurers faced big losses in some markets, and they got less financial support from the government than they expected. They’ve been raising prices and pulling out of some markets altogether in response.
Consider, the OPEC oil cartel thieves worry about President Trump’s promise to Make America Great Again. OPEC wants America to stop producing so much shale oil because oil prices are plummeting with the over supply. “I think [OPEC] are now acutely aware that they don’t have the kind of influence they used to have 10 years ago, and that shale is now the swing producer in the market.” President Trump schlongs OPEC!
Consider, China and President Trump art of the deal. After months of bashing China for its trade practices, the Trump administration said it had agreed with Beijing on a broad range of measures aimed at improving the access of American beef producers, electronic-payments providers and natural-gas exporters, among others, to the world’s second-largest economy.
Big Media is focused on hysteria. President Donald J. Trump is using his superpowers to Make America Great Again.
In the battle of Big Media hysteria versus President Donald J. Trump, the reality is that President Trump sees reality.
President Trump’s superpowers – he makes his enemies go mad, he speaks in American blunt power English not Oxford/Harvard debater masturbators’ mush-mouth muddles, and he sees and acts quickly on his vision of reality which is the reality of most Americans.
As the beautiful day arose, few expected the day would develop so Trumpily. As per usual President Donald J. Trump was hard at work. As per usual, the attention seeking Director of the FBI was once again publicly displaying himself, making more grandiose pronouncements, on yet another speaking tour. Work in an office was not what Comey the Clown sought. Comey wanted attention and TV cameras. Comey the Clown gave a speech, a television behind him. Comey didn’t know what hit him, he only felt that massive schlong:
Comey learned of firing as he addressed FBI employees in LA. TV screens in background flashed news of firing. Letter was then given to FBI.
Endless Christmas! President Trump schlonged Comey the malicious clown. President Donald J. Trump acted upon the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. The “YOU’RE FIRED” came via letter:
Dear Director Comey:
I have received the attached letters from the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General of the United States recommending your dismissal as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I have accepted their recommendation and you are hereby terminated and removed from office, effective immediately.
While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.
It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission.
In a Tuesday statement, the press secretary said the president “terminated and removed” Comey from office “based on the clear recommendations of both Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Attorney General Jeff Sessions.”
Sessions told Trump in a letter that he believes “a fresh start is needed at the leadership of the FBI.”
In a memorandum titled “Restoring public confidence in the FBI,” Rosenstein said he couldn’t defend Comey’s handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
“The Director was wrong to usurp the Attorney General’s authority on July 5, 2016, and announce his conclusion that the case should be closed without prosecution. It is not the function of the Director to make such an announcement,” the deputy attorney general said.
Last summer, Comey concluded that “no charges are appropriate” in the FBI’s investigation of Clinton.
“Although there is evidence of potential violations regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” he said in July.
Rosenstein said that the dismissed FBI director compounded the error when he “ignored another longstanding principle: we do not hold press conferences to release derogatory information about the subject of a declined criminal investigation.”
The deputy attorney general was referring to Comey’s letter to Congress, which said the FBI was probing an additional batch of emails related to the Clinton investigation. Comey later announced that the FBI had “not changed its conclusions” after reviewing the new cache of emails.
The former Democratic nominee has cited Comey’s letter, coming a little more than a week before the 2016 presidential election, as a contributing factor to her loss.
Rosenstein said that such information may be disclosed in legal proceedings, but that it’s not something that should be done “gratuitously.”
“The Director laid out his version of the facts for the news media as if it were a closing argument, but without a trial. It is a textbook example of what federal prosecutors and agents are taught not to do,” he said.
Comey has defended his actions, saying that he was simply trying to not conceal the FBI’s decision to investigate the additional emails.
But Rosenstein refuted Comey’s language, saying that federal agents “are not concealing anything” when conducting an investigation quietly.
“In that context, silence is not concealment,” the deputy attorney general said.
Trump made no mention of Comey’s role in the Clinton investigation, which she has blamed in part for the election result that put him in the White House. But in announcing the firing, the White House circulated a scathing memo, written by deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, criticizing Comey’s handling of the Clinton probe, including the director’s decision to hold a news conference announcing its findings and releasing “derogatory information” about Clinton.
The firing of an FBI director is exceedingly rare. Democrats slammed the move, comparing it to President Richard Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre” decision to fire the independent special prosecutor overseeing the Watergate investigation, prompting the resignations of the Justice Department’s top two officials.
“This is Nixonian,” Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., declared on Twitter. “Outrageous,” said Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden, calling for Comey to immediately be summoned to testify to Congress about the status of the Trump-Russia investigation
Trump has ridiculed the FBI investigation, as well as concurrent congressional investigations, as a “hoax” and has denied that his campaign was involved in Russia’s election meddling. In his letter to Comey, he asserted that the FBI director had informed him “on three separate occasions that I am not under investigation.”
Comey the Clown got his job via Obama the Clown who nominated Comey in 2013 for a ten year term that lasted much less than that. Clown cleanup on aisle 2017.
The abrupt firing raised questions over whether Mr. Trump was trying to influence the Russia investigation. But the president said he was following recommendations from the Justice Department, which criticized how Mr. Comey concluded the investigation into Mrs. Clinton.
“It is essential that we find new leadership for the F.B.I. that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission,” Mr. Trump wrote.
Mr. Comey’s firing came hours after the F.B.I. corrected his testimony last week about how classified information ended up on the laptop of the disgraced former congressman Anthony D. Weiner.
Most of Big Media is in a “RUSSIA!!!!!!!!!” frenzy.
But even before the 2016 campaign, the FBI endured a number of humiliations under Comey’s tenure. Most damning were revelations that the FBI was generally aware of almost every terrorist who successfully struck America over the last eight years.
Here are 10 of Comey’s biggest embarrassments at the FBI:
1. Before he bombed the Boston Marathon, the FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev but let him go. Russia sent the Obama Administration a second warning, but the FBI opted against investigating him again.
2. Shortly after the NSA scandal exploded in 2013, the FBI was exposed conducting its own data mining on innocent Americans; the agency, Bloomberg reported, retains that material for decades (even if no wrongdoing is found).
3. The FBI had possession of emails sent by Nidal Hasan saying he wanted to kill his fellow soldiers to protect the Taliban — but didn’t intervene, leading many critics to argue the tragedy that resulted in the death of 31 Americans at Fort Hood could have been prevented.
4. During the Obama Administration, the FBI claimed that two private jets were being used primarily for counterterrorism, when in fact they were mostly being used for Eric Holder and Robert Mueller’s business and personal travel.
5. When the FBI demanded Apple create a “backdoor” that would allow law enforcement agencies to unlock the cell phones of various suspects, the company refused, sparking a battle between the feds and America’s biggest tech company. What makes this incident indicative of Comey’s questionable management of the agency is that a) The FBI jumped the gun, as they were indeed ultimately able to crack the San Bernardino terrorist’s phone, and b) Almost every other major national security figure sided with Apple (from former CIA Director General Petraeus to former CIA Director James Woolsey to former director of the NSA, General Michael Hayden), warning that such a “crack” would inevitably wind up in the wrong hands.
6. In 2015, the FBI conducted a controversial raid on a Texas political meeting, finger printing, photographing, and seizing phones from attendees (some in the group believe in restoring Texas as an independent constitutional republic).
7. During its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified material, the FBI made an unusual deal in which Clinton aides were both given immunity and allowed to destroy their laptops.
8. The father of the radical Islamist who detonated a backpack bomb in New York City in 2016 alerted the FBI to his son’s radicalization. The FBI, however, cleared Ahmad Khan Rahami after a brief interview.
9. The FBI also investigated the terrorist who killed 49 people and wounded 53 more at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla. Despite a more than 10-month investigation of Omar Mateen — during which Mateen admitting lying to agents — the FBI opted against pressing further and closed its case.
10. CBS recently reported that when two terrorists sought to kill Americans attending the “Draw Muhammad” event in Garland, Texas, the FBI not only had an understanding an attack was coming, but actually had an undercover agent traveling with the Islamists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi. The FBI has refused to comment on why the agent on the scene did not intervene during the attack.
Comey the Clown had to be fired. Comey’s actions have been usurpations too long tolerated. Instead of presenting evidence to a grand jury, Comey decided to proclaim himself a prosecutor outside the system of justice.

As Attorney General Jeff Sessions declared, Comey would not admit his failures which meant Comey would not take corrective measures but rather double down on his public spectacles which undermine the FBI and the Department of Justice.
There comes a time when you are draining a tub that gunk clogs up the drain. At that moment you have to put on some long black rubber gloves and pull out the gunk. Then the slime can continue to flow out. But more gunk will continue to clog the drain and the gunk will have to continue to be removed.
Today, President Donald J. Trump, who will be reelected, continued to pull out the gunk. President Donald J. Trump promised to do so. It’s not a tub however – IT’S A SWAMP. President Trump will continue to drain the swamp. It’s a big swamp. President Trump is a big man, up to the job.
Update: It’s Trump Day 100. The celebration rally is on tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Trump country Pennsylvania (see the video at end of this update). There is much to celebrate.
Lots of winning. The DailyKooks types are weepy still as they realize that the pussyhats and crying spells won’t stop President Trump. The DailyKooks thought President Trump would be impeached on Day 1 and here we are at Day 100, with more than three and a half years to come along with the second term four years.
More winning – Barack Obama and bottom heavy Michelle thought they were the father and mother of the country, not the hired public servants they were. Michelle acted like the fat mom telling the kids to not eat what she eats. Those days are over not-my-mama. Yup, the just confirmed new Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue on Monday will dump the Michelle Obama food program at schools which led to horrid food schoolkids would dump in the dumpster.
More more winning winning! Trump hating Politico sums up the Trump effectiveness in a headline and subheadline: Trump’s immigration crackdown is well underway – The president has engineered a major shakeup during his first 100 days in office — by combining a quick stroke of the pen and his forceful rhetoric. Read it and weep DailyKook snowflakes.
More winning, more winning, more winning!!! Remember Mark Penn, the Hillary2008 and Bill Clinton pollster? Penn was dumped by Hillary Clinton and in 2016 Hillary hired an Obama pollster more interested in protecting Obama than helping Hillary. This led to Hillary’s delusions Shattered forevermore in 2016. Mark Penn is back. Penn is a good pollster just a lousy campaign director/manager. Penn has lots to say about Trump. We excerpt just the snippets of highlights in a must read article from Mark Penn:
Why the polls are wrong about Trump. Again.
Today we live in a polling bubble – surveys taken from the perches in New York, Washington and Los Angeles may be obscuring rather than illuminating many of the underlying views and trends of the American electorate. [snip]
Most media analysts and modelers concluded a Hillary Clinton victory was in the bag. [snip]
Most polls have moved away from voters or likely voters to U.S. adults with no screen for registration or even citizenship. And the questions often focus on storylines and narratives critical of Trump. [snip]
First, Trump is likely NOT at 40 percent approval with the American electorate. He is likely higher. [snip] Six million voters opted for a libertarian candidate and most of those votes would never go to a liberal Democrat. And when all of the congressional votes were tallied, Republicans got 3 million more votes than the Democrats and won a majority of both the popular vote and of the seats in Congress.
The recent special election in Georgia came out about the same as the Trump/Hillary vote, with Republicans nosing out Democrats. As The Washington Post poll reported, a replay of the Trump/Hillary race would today come out more for Trump than Hillary.
So what is the disconnect between polls that show his job rating at 40 and the electoral results? The major network polls all now report “U.S adults” as the sampling frame, not people who voted in the last election or expect to vote in the next one. The non-voters include 11 million undocumented aliens and a lot of folks who liked neither candidate and stayed home, as well as younger people who have lower rates of participation. These polls should not be confused with the views of the American electorate.
If you look just at the past voters, Trump is holding his base – The Washington Post said that 94 percent of Trump voters approve of the job he is doing. [snip]
Third, the media echo chamber has, I think, made it more difficult for people to express their political views, especially to live interviewers. [snip]
Trump campaigned on a unique set of issues that indicted bad trade deals for economic dislocation, supported the police over the Black Lives Matter movement, called for making NATO members pay their fair share, and deporting criminal undocumented aliens. He called for repeal and replacing ObamaCare, lower taxes, more immigration police and a border wall paid for by Mexico. [snip]
In the end, Trump had a fairly powerful message that spoke to a lot of voters. He is now attempting to turn that message into policy. [snip]
That was the ultimate mistake of 2016 and the polling bubble: The election turned not on Hollywood Access or Huma Abadein’s laptop, it turned on serious issues too easily dismissed by polling focused on Trump’s temperament, conflict of interest, tweets and Russian conspiracies. [snip]
On key issues he has a lot of support, especially when it comes to America being taken advantage of by its allies and trading partners, failing to stand up to its red lines, and the need for change that drains the corruption and gridlock of Washington. Don’t let the polling bubble obscure the fact that the forces – pro and con – that produced the surprise upset last November are just as powerful today.
Read the whole dang thing while you wait for President Trump tonight.
Not that we would mind, the inheritance alone would be kinda nice, but President Donald J. Trump is not our father. President Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States. In other words, President Donald J. Trump is a public servant. A freakin’ PUBLIC SERVANT. President Trump is not our father!!!!! Barron Trump may accurately state “President Donald J. Trump is my father.” Don Jr., Eric, Tiffany, and Ivanka, may likewise declare truthfully “President Donald J. Trump is my father.” But everyone else should clearly shout “PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP IS NOT MY FATHER!!!!!!! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP IS MY PRESIDENT!!!!”
Why do we have to write something so obvious? Why do we have to raise our blood pressure and scream out what is beyond dispute??? Because… because there is an idiot in Ohio… an idiot in Ohio that claims otherwise. The name of the idiot from Ohio?
“When you’re running a big job like that, you have to not only use your head and your heart, and they have to work together,” Kasich said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “And what he needs to know is he’s the father of America, and that carries a heavy responsibility.”
NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!! Donald J. Trump is not the “father of America”. Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States. He’s a public servant. He works for us. HE WORKS FOR US!!!!!
Ohio Governor John Kasich is a dangerous paternalistic idiot. We have our fathers. We don’t need another government issued “father”.
George Washington, the first President, was called the “father of the country” because he was a singular figure that helped birth this country. But George Washington rejected the paternalistic role, the lordship, the “father” to children role louts such as John Kasich believe in.
The danger is that because Kasich believes the role of an elected public servant is to be a “father” the paternalism oozes out of every policy pore.
Political hacks like John Kasich (and destructive demons like Barack Obama) believe themselves to be anything but what they are. They are servants but believe themselves to be gods.
Public servants deserve no more respect than a waitress at a cheap falling down restaurant. A waitress (or waiter, although now political correctness demands we call these workers “servers”) deserves respect at the same level as a public servant elected to office. But neither public servant nor restaurant servant deserves anything more than respect of a basic human level. That’s it.
Offensive wannabe overlords like John Kasich (who looks like a methamphetamine addicted bum, is ugly as a car crash non-survivor, smells as bad as a corpse, eats like a pig at a trough, has shoes that appear to have been dug up after being buried in sewage, and dresses like he gets his clothes out of a paper bag he’s been carrying for months) think they are the “father” of the little people that don’t know any better.
Speaking to reporters outside the White House, Kasich said Trump “listened a great deal to my concerns” and “was very generous with his time.”
“I also told him that, I remember back when I first became governor, there was some things that I was doing to the point where my wife said to me ‘you’re the father of Ohio, act like it,'” Kasich said.
John Kasich has a personal life drama he is dealing with still. His parents got killed and he has not gotten over that. But that is his personal problem. Kasich can be a father to his children, and leave the rest of us to our fathers.
This paternalistic attitude exemplified by John Kasich is dangerous idiocy. It leads to public servants believing their job is to tell us what to do. To improve our lives. To better us. To lord over us. To instruct us on how to lead our lives.
The paternalistic attitude exemplified by John Kasich is a dangerous idiocy. It is the servants telling the masters what to do. No. The American people are the masters and we tell the public servants what to do. That’s why Donald J. Trump won and John Kasich lost. Donald J. Trump listened to what his public masters told him to do. John Kasich lectured his public masters as if they were slack-jawed servants.
John Kasich is loved by Big Media. Both John Kasich and Big Media share the mentality that they are the masters. To Kasich and Big Media the public are dumb dogs to be led by the leash.
The American people voted for Donald J. Trump to be the top public servant, a.k.a. President, because Donald J. Trump is a servant that will do what the people elected him to do. That’s why President Trump is tops:
The Ever-Trumpers: Revisiting his backers from 2016, we find they still like him [snip]
Anyone either hoping or fearing that the stumbles of Trump’s young administration have shaken the faith of his core backers will find little support here. There is certainly disappointment, especially around Trump’s inability to deliver on his signature promise to get rid of Obamacare, but in almost identical words they blame someone else for it, specifically congressional Republicans. (Cruz: “Why didn’t they have a plan?” Neal: “I don’t like that we still have rogue Republicans that are just not supporting.” Frisbie: “Why haven’t they been working for the last eight years planning on what they’d do if they got control again? They should have had a plan.”)
No regrets: 100% approval at 100 days from these Trump voters [snip]
The president scores a perfect 100% approval rating in the USA TODAY Trump voter panel, a nationwide group of 25 Trump voters who make up a sort of floating focus group on how the president fares among those who backed him.
”He’s not being pushed around,” Deidra Brady, 48, of Broadway, N.C., says approvingly. Tara Kimble, 61, of Breaux Bridge, La., predicts with Trump-like bravado that history will judge him as a great president: “He’s doing a better job than anybody has done.”
While reviews from presidential scholars and the broader public are mixed at best, these core supporters remain solidly in Trump’s corner. The sturdiness of that support, also reflected in national polls, gives the president a reliable political base even as he struggles to expand his appeal to those who didn’t back him on Election Day.
Indeed, their assessments are more positive now than they were amid the afterglow of his inauguration in January. Almost half now say Trump is doing better than they expected when they voted for him.
President Donald J. Trump works hard. President Donald J. Trump is a good public servant.
A bad public servant is someone who thinks he is a “father” or a king. John Kasich is bad enough with his paternalism. But that goofball Paul Ryan (something is wrong with that boy) is the worst.
Paul Ryan can’t get anything done that the people want. Paul Ryan will putter about and pretend like he is working, but he is not. Paul Ryan is like the servant supposed to be polishing the silverware but only manages half a spoon polished in a week (while the other silver spoons find themselves at the local pawn shop). There’s something wrong with that boy. It’s like Paul Ryan is the goofball young son of Nancy Pelosi. She at least got horrible things done, like passing ObamaCare. Paul Ryan can’t seem to get the job done. Paul Ryan, bad public servant, has to be fired.
Today at the NRA, President Trump spoke about Paul Revere (we wrote about how President Trump is like Paul Revere and Churchill, sounding the trumpet alarm to wake up the sleeping). President Trump spoke about how he is a public servant. President Trump spoke about why Americans rose up against the “Redcoats” of the British Empire. Americans fought the Revolution because we are the masters, not the servants. “We are ruled by our citizens.”
President Trump promises he will “never, ever, let you down.” That’s what a public servant promises. To do his job. That’s why President Trump was hired. He’s a public servant, not a Barack Obama style golden calf.
President Trump is a public servant. President Trump does his job.
Update: Happy Birthday Melania! We’ll celebrate your birthday when we have more time – after the tech hamsters fix our comment log-in problems.
While we wait to celebrate, there is lots of news on topics we wrote about in the original article below. The big surprise today is a potential order on withdrawal from NAFTA. This potential NAFTA withdrawal is likely more art of the dealing. President Trump this week imposed stiff duties of 3% to 24% on Canadian soft lumber in an effort to “level the playing field” for American lumber companies. A potential NAFTA withdrawal is a Trump art of the deal Trump card to move matters along more favorable lines to the U.S.
As to North Korea warmongering, fear is growing that NK is shrinking their nukes to make it easier to place them on missiles to attack the United States. President Trump, as promised, invited all 100 senators to the White House for a briefing on the North Korean threats.
We won’t make any dirty jokes about Li’l Kim’s li’l missile – we’re too busy beating the tech hamsters to get them to fix the comments section.
The war for the West is on. After the opening moves, all the chess pieces are in place.
In America the modern day Paul Revere and Winston Churchill, combined into one Donald J. Trump is now fully engaged after almost 100 days in the Oval Office. In Europe, whatever happens in the second round of voting, Marine Le Pen finds herself at Poitiers, ready to refight the Battle of Tours. In Asia, the American aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson is engaged in military exercises alongside Japanese warships, soon to be joined by the USS Michigan and other mighty American warships, as they all get ready for a bloodletting in the Korean peninsula. Even Barack Obama is back from vacation with the rich and famous ready to make more money by flim-flaming the most gullible on the left.
Chess players and Churchill get it: “This is not the end, it is not even the beginning of the end, but it is perhaps the end of the beginning.”
The French election results are good news. While it is true that Macron, a globalist pawn, is likely to win the second round of the election in France; while it is also true that Marine Le Pen is not a favorite of ours because she is more socialist than many understand; while it is also true that Marine Le Pen will now face the full brunt of the French political establishment and all the institutions of the French Republic; while it is also true that all the polls show defeat for Le Pen and victory for globalist pawn Macron… there are good tidings in the results from the election in France.
The good news as we reflect on the revolutionary election in France? First giant bit of good news is that the establishment political parties are defeated. Yes, Macron is a globalist pawn but Macron ran as a pretend “outsider” because that is the only way to win. We explained this in July 2015 in regards to the “mystique” of candidate Donald J. Trump:
Despite all these ideological attacks and corporate desponsorship attacks, and Big Media attacks, Donald Trump is growing in popularity with the voters. Why? We explain in simple English the Donald Trump mystique:
WHEN YOU ARE IN A SNAKE PIT YOU DON’T CARE WHO HANDS YOU A STICK.
We’ve been warning about this for the longest time. In recent elections in so-called “democratic” countries – the voters are being ignored. In election after election, voters vote for an establishment political party – then once in power the political party they voted for stabs them in the back. Witness the 2014 elections in the United States in which the Republican Party won elections based on opposition to Barack Obama then once in cozy offices they pull out all the stops to assist Barack Obama to pass ObamaTrade. This happens over and over and over.
Eventually voters catch on and they decide to vote for the biggest motherf*cker around who will do what they want. The voters find themselves in a snake pit, surrounded by vipers, and they reach up to grab whatever stick is handed to them.
In Europe, extreme right wing parties increase in popularity. Why? Because the voters find themselves in a snake pit – betrayed by the political parties they vote for based on lies. Eventually the voters say “Fu*k you motherf*ckers, Fu*k you” and Marine Le Pen gathers strength in France, Denmark goes right wing, and the rallies in Germany grow and grow. In many of these cases the issue is immigration and illegal immigration.
The voters trapped in the snake pit learn.
Second bit of good news from the revolutionary elections in France? Marine Le Pen is one Muslim terrorist attack from leading the French Republic.
The Socialist Party’s official candidate Benoît Hamon came sixth with a paltry 6.2 per cent of the vote, meaning the two major French parties mustered less than 27 per cent of the vote.
The two finalists offer France two very different visions of Europe and the world, with Mr Macron billing himself as the progressive versus conservatives, and Ms Le Pen as the patriot versus the globalists.
On Europe, he wants to further beef up the euro zone, while Ms Le Pen intends to leave the euro and hold an in-out referendum on EU membership within six months of taking power.
Most of the defeated contenders instantly called on their supporters to vote for Mr Macron, with Mr Fillon warning that Ms Le Pen would lead France “to ruin and European chaos”. [snip]
From his Paris headquarters, an ecstatic Mr Macron, 39, an ex-investment banker and economy minister, said: “We are clearly turning a page of French political life.”
His pole position vindicated his huge bet to leave the government of Socialist president François Hollande a year ago to found his own movement, En Marche! (Onwards!), on a “neither Left nor Right” platform.
Many predicted the bid by a political novice who has never held elected office would burst like a bubble of champagne Socialism.
Speaking from her stronghold in Hénin Beaumont, a former mining town in northern France which has an FN mayor, Ms Le Pen insisted: “The first step that will lead the French to the Elysée has been taken.”
“Either we continue on the path of total de-regulation, offshoring, mass immigration, free movement of terrorists, the reign of big money. Or you choose the France of borders that protects your identity,” she said.
“It is time to liberate the French people.”
Marine Le Pen, flawed as she is, with economic policies we disagree with, is a latter day Joan of Arc. She is rallying the French nation to defend itself. Whether she wins or loses in the second round of elections, Marine Le Pen has set the terms of the argument that must be discussed in France and in all the West. For Marine Le Pen, as we wrote in that July 2015 when “it’s over for Trump” was conventional wisdom, the issue is immigration, and the Muslim soft invasion of Europe.
As in the Battle of Tours, Marine Le Pen is fighting the invasion of Europe by Muslim culture, ideology, and population. The actual military Battle of Tours fought off an armed invasion. The battle Marine Le Pen wages is thus far political, cultural, ideological, and the military aspects are restricted to Muslim terror bombings. Marine Le Pen is one Muslim terror attack away from becoming the official leader of the French nation. But whatever happens on the electoral front, Marine Le Pen will eventually win the argument and the modern battle because her analysis of France invaded is obvious to all that are willing to see the terrorist attacks and the population invasions for what they are.
In France, we are at the end of the beginning.
In America too, we are at the end of the beginning.
Even as we celebrated our 10 year anniversary, President Donald J. Trump will celebrate his first 100 days as President this coming Saturday. President Trump will not only celebrate this milestone on day 100. Because Big Media planned one of their Trump-hate orgies, this one known as the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, on the same Saturday – President Trump with his 100 day celebration schlonged the Big Media animals. It is a joy to behold.
I just love this. Vogel managed to unintentionally condense "Why everyone hates the American media" into 140 characters. pic.twitter.com/rz37OjnCWq
Agenda: Shortly after Donald Trump won the election, House Speaker Paul Ryan said that Republicans had to “go big, go bold, and do things.” So far, the GOP has not delivered.
“They have the House, they have the Senate, they have the presidency — and nothing’s happening,” lamented PJ Media co-founder Roger Simon earlier this week. “Nothing, that is, that Donald Trump doesn’t do by himself. … The Republicans in the legislature are a disgrace.”
Congress did pass, and Trump signed, 13 bills to undo last-minute Obama administration regulations. And the Senate approved Trump’s Supreme Court pick. But what about actually advancing long-awaited Republican legislative priorities, like ObamaCare repeal and tax cuts? Nada. [snip]
That is, after all, what’s happened in the past when one party gained control of the White House after securing both the House and Senate. Lawmakers rushed to enact key pieces of their agenda that had been bottled up by the opposition, or that the president ran on. [snip]
There’s plenty of blame to go around for the GOP’s lack of achievements so far. But Ryan has been the biggest disappointment, since the House is where things get rolling.
Ryan earned his reputation for his ability to dive into big issues and produce thoughtful, innovative conservative reforms. So far, his ability to act aggressively and unify his caucus around anything has been sorely lacking.
If Ryan can’t figure out how to do this, and soon, he should consider handing the Speaker’s gavel to someone who can “go big, go bold, and do things.“
It is the end of the beginning. This week, with the first “skinny” budget due in order to avert a government shutdown, President Trump will have to take on the Paul Ryan establishment head-on. Already, Big Media wants to help Paul Ryan shut down President Trump and close the door on his great big beautiful wall:
Trump’s Wall Demands May Decide Whether 100th Day Is a Shutdown [snip]
Trump’s biggest demand is a Democratic deal-breaker: money for his long-promised border wall with Mexico. Democrats hope he’ll blink to avoid an embarrassing milestone for a new president trying to prove he can govern. A partial shutdown would start on Saturday, Trump’s 100th day in office.
“The Wall is a very important tool in stopping drugs from pouring into our country and poisoning our youth (and many others)!” Trump wrote Monday on Twitter.
There is an out for both sides — a short-term spending plan that would provide another week or so for negotiations after the deadline early Saturday.
“We feel very confident the government’s not going to shut down,” White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Monday, although he said he wouldn’t guarantee it. The spokesman wouldn’t say whether the president was willing to shut the government down over funding for the border wall. [snip]
Right now, each side is dug in. And Trump is making things more complicated, not less. At the same time as budget talks intensify, he’s pushing House Republicans to re-start work on an Obamacare repeal-and-replace bill after the last one imploded in March when conservatives walked away.
Trump’s also planning to announce at least the broad parameters of a tax overhaul on Wednesday that seems sure to have plenty to annoy Democrats, including likely tax cuts for corporations and high-earners.
On top of that, Trump insists he won’t go quietly even if Republicans and Democrats cut a deal. [snip]
Republicans may not be willing to allow the government to shut down over the wall.
“I wouldn’t risk a trillion-dollar funding bill for a $3 billion wall,” Representative Tom Cole, the Oklahoma Republican who sits on the House appropriations and budget committees, told MSNBC Monday. “There’s another way, another time to get this.”
Through it all, Trump has sounded upbeat, saying he thinks negotiations are in good shape to avert a shutdown.
The Democrats don't want money from budget going to border wall despite the fact that it will stop drugs and very bad MS 13 gang members.
President Trump is attacked by Big Media because he wants to fulfill his campaign promises. President Trump is under attack by Big Media and the rest of the political establishment because he wants the congress to work, actually work, not just go on vacations they call “recesses”.
The Michigan is armed with around 150 Tomahawk missiles, with a range of about 1,000 miles.
All 100 U.S. senators will be briefed on North Korea at the White House late afternoon Wednesday. Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will do the briefing, according to a Pentagon spokesman.
Tuesday is Army Day in North Korea and U.S. intelligence is expecting some kind of “firepower display.” North Korea has continued its show of defiance, detaining a third U.S. citizen, Tony Kim, on Saturday.
The North has also continued its barrage of aggressive language, threatening the Vinson — its forces are “combat-ready to sink a U.S. nuclear-powered aircraft carrier with a single strike,” state-run media bragged.
However, Bill Richardson, the former New Mexico Governor who has also served as U.N. Ambassador, has previously negotiated prisoner releases with North Korea, and he suggested that the taking of detainees might indicate there’s a “path forward” with North Korea. Prisoner releases in the past have led “to at least a dialogue.”
“They use…these detainees from the United States as bargaining chips,” he told CBS News. “They always want something in return.”
Porcine Bill Richardson demonstrates the problem with Obama Dimocrats. Instead of expressing outrage at the capture of American citizens to be used as pawns, the squealing Richardson thinks this is good news because North Korea can now use a hostage to get “something in return”. But North Korea is dealing with President Donald J. Trump not the fey weakling Barack Obama.
The Obama loving Politico today reports, on Obama’s hidden Iran deal giveaway. Barack Obama infuriated the Justice Department, with his release from prison, as part of the Iran deal, men considered to be “threats to national security”. The Muslim men Barack Obama released from prison include three who illegally procured for Iran microelectronics for cruise missiles, a man serving an eight year prison sentence for “conspiring to supply Iran with satellite technology and hardware”. Obama also removed a $10 million jury imposed penalty for money received from Iran by the former prison inmate. Obama also “dropped charges and international arrest warrants against 14 other men, all of them fugitives” wanted by Interpol. Not only that, Barack Obama removed “Interpol red notices and dismissed any charges against 14 Iranians”. Barack Obama protected, aided, and abetted the Persian Empire of Terror and assorted terrorists interested in acquiring nuclear weapons.
“That may be about to change” reports Obama loving Politico. Why? Because President Donald J. Trump, that’s why.
For Barack Obama, revealing reports such as the one from Politico are the end of the end.
For President Donald J. Trump, it is the end of the beginning. There is lots more winning to come.
