Stable Normalized Genius: President Trump’s DACA Squirrels

Hooray! We found the perfect video which illustrates the Trump Age of Real, the Trump Art of the Deal, as well as the freak-out over the Trump DACA meeting with Obama Dims/GOP RINOs/GOP immigration realists, and the constant “it’s over for Trump” hysterics from erstwhile friends and persistent NeverTrump foes:

h/t AceofSpades

Doesn’t that say it all when it comes to “reality”? As we wrote, The Age of Real is not particularly pretty. The Age of Real is about reality, not illusions.

The video is not only a perfect representation of reality versus sweet dreams and delusions. The video is also a perfect representation of President Donald J. Trump’s negotiating style, The Art of the Deal. That cat is a great negotiator!

To fully appreciate the perfect video let’s look at the video of the meeting President Trump held to discuss DACA:

It’s one of the funniest things, other than our first video, we have ever seen. Watch as President Trump pretty much says ‘yeah, I’ll sign anything you give me to sign on DACA. You people are so smart and quick witted I am sure you will come up with something perfect. I will sign whatever you give me because I have no demands for this act-of-love-legislation we will produce. I’ll take the heat from those that are upset. Let’s get this done. It will be beautiful. Of course, what you will produce for me to sign will be so brilliant and wonderful and ready for my signature — because it will include the absolutely-necessary-beyond-any-question WALL, an end to chain migration, an end to lottery visas, an end to catch and release, as well as all the security that will be absolutely necessary.’

What President Trump essentially said was ‘I have no demands to make. Of course, you will give me everything I want.’

We’re not kidding. Big Media was dumbfu*ked. Big Media did not know how to explain. Big Media tried to present the entire meeting as President Trump contradicting himself throughout the meeting. But President Trump wasn’t contradicting himself. President Trump was essentially art-of-the-dealing the dummies around the table. ‘I have no demands to make. Of course, you will give me everything I want.’

Squirrel, meet Cat.

* * * * * *

Poor squirrels didn’t know what hit ’em.

What was the most brilliant aspect of the President Trump meeting on DACA? Was it President Trump holding a telecast negotiation of the type Barack Obama promised but never delivered? Was it President Trump displaying his mastery of issues and command of all the losers around the negotiating table? Was it President Trump using befuddled Big Media like a ten cent whore, to visually refute the Wolfe book with a believe your eyes and watch a stable genius at work? No, we think it was President Trump using the squirrels to “normalize” himself.

The leftists in total control of the Obama Dimocrat Party vowed to never “normalize” President Trump. These leftist kooks swore they would persist to resist and would never be seen respecting President Trump as a genuine President of the United States. In one afternoon President Trump cut the nuts off the squirrels.

Recall what we wrote before the first GOP debate in that Summer of Trump July 2015:

Once Trump gets on a debate stage with governors and senators he will halve his biggest problem and be on the way to the scenario we’ve outlined above. What is Donald Trump’s biggest problem? Trump’s biggest problem is that many Americans do not believe he is really running for president, that this is all a big publicity stunt for something and therefore these Americans do not even consider voting for Trump. But once Trump is seen as a real candidate for president that vast ocean of “he’s not really running” skeptics will be a new target of opportunity for The Donald and Trump’s poll numbers will rise ever higher.

The moment in 2015 that Donald J. Trump appeared on the debate stage surrounded by well known Republican governors and senators he became a legitimate candidate. At that “medium is the message” moment, even those who mocked Donald J. Trump had to concede that Trump was seriously running for president. The moment Donald J. Trump was viewed as a serious candidate for the GOP nomination and not involved in a publicity stunt was the moment, as we predicted, that Donald J. Trump became the inevitable President Donald J. Trump.

So how funny was it to see President Trump “negotiating” with Obama Dimocrats in an hour long spectacle on national television?

To make it even funnier, Big Media and the dunce-boys called it a “negotiation”.

It wasn’t a negotiation. It was President Donald J. Trump laying out his terms.

It was the squirrels meeting the cat.

The squirrels never had a chance.

Southern California apartment complexes that doubled as “maternity hotels” for Chinese women who want made-in-America babies were raided early Tuesday, capping an unprecedented federal sting operation, officials said.

NBC News was on the scene as Homeland Security agents swept into The Carlyle, a luxury property in Irvine, California, which housed pregnant women and new moms who allegedly forked over $40,000 to $80,000 to give birth in the United States.

“I am doing this for the education of the next generation,” one of the women told NBC News.

None of the women were arrested; they are being treated as material witnesses, and paramedics were on hand in case any of them went into labor during the sweep.

Instead, the investigation was aimed at ringleaders who pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars tax-free to help Chinese nationals obtain visas and then pamper them until they delivered in an American hospital at a discount, court papers show.

“It’s not necessarily illegal to come here to have the baby, but if you lie about your reasons for coming here, that’s visa fraud,” said Claude Arnold, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations for Los Angeles.

All told, the feds raided 20 locations in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties, targeting three competing birth tourism schemes, officials said. The suspected operators have not been charged but are being questioned.

The organizers who allegedly ran the Carlyle site, Chao Chen and Dong Li, used a website to drum up business, touting the benefits of a child with U.S. citizenship: 13 years of free education, low-cost college financial aid, less pollution, and a path for the entire family to emigrate when the child becomes an adult.

Clients were counseled on what lies to tell to obtain a tourist visa; how to fly through Hawaii, Las Vegas or Korea to avoid suspicious immigration officers at Los Angeles International Airport; and how to disguise their pregnancy in transit, according to search warrant affidavit unsealed Tuesday. [snip]

They were funneled to several Orange County hospitals to deliver, but they didn’t pay full price — approximately $25,000 — for medical services, officials said. Instead, they got reduced rates for the indigent, ranging from nothing to $4,000, the court papers say.

That translated into big losses for the hospitals. More than 400 babies linked to the scheme were born at just one facility in a two-year period, investigators said.

The investigators discovered that the parents of one baby born in April 2014 who paid the hospital just $4,000 were spending money at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel, Rolex and Louis Vuitton, using an account with almost a quarter of a million dollars in it.

The fraud, authorities say, went beyond the visas.

Li didn’t file a U.S. tax return and Chen didn’t declare hundreds of thousands of dollars in proceeds, the affidavit says. In addition, Chen and his wife, Jie Zhu committed marriage fraud, pretending to be divorced so they could get “green-card” marriages in the U.S., the feds charged. [snip]

The phenomenon of foreigners coming to the U.S. to have babies is not new but appears to be growing. One study found that 40,000 children a year are born to women here on a travel visa, the affidavit notes.

Tuesday’s crackdown marked the first large-scale federal probe of birth-tourism kingpins in the continental U.S.

In addition to the operation at the Carlyle, the feds zeroed in on two other alleged schemes.

Wen Rui Deng, Li Yan Lang and Wen Shan Sun were accused of charging women $10,000 to $25,000 to put them up at the Pheasant Ridge apartments in Rowland Heights, where the “one dragon service” included baby nurses, the court papers say.

A company called USA Happy Baby, run by Michael Wei Yueh Liu and Jing Dong, set up at The Reserves apartments in Rancho Cucamonga, authorities charged.

The probe into the Carlyle started in June 2014 when the Irvine Police Department received an anonymous tip about the scheme that was turned over to Homeland Security. Separately, U.S. Customs and Immigration Services received a similar tip.

An agent posed as a client who wanted to arrange for his cousin to give birth in America, and got Chen to spill the details of the scheme — from how his China-based employees would “prep” the woman for her consulate interview to why she should not fly straight to LA.

  2. Admin: What is the rationale of Trump’s statement in this clip posted by Tucker Carlson?

Fox News Tucker Carlson Blasts Trump on Immigration: ‘What Was The Point of Running for President’?

  3. Admin: what we saw from Trump yesterday was a calculated dance. If you examine what he said literally, then you could conclude that he was willing to accept the dim proposal which was Whimpy, I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today. And he went on to say that he would sign whatever congress came up with, which adds fuel to the fire. McCarthy (of all people) had to prod him to link daca with border security, which some believe was an eggregious oversight. Others maintain that he agreed to nothing. and he looked presidential. I was inclined to dismiss that until I spoke to a close friend of mine an hour ago, who hates Trump and has a poster on his refrigerator so stating. He told me he was very impressed with how Trump handled the meeting, that he seemed presidential, and whether you agree with that or not, most people who live in the same world as the rest of us will conclude that Trump’s opponents looked very small, and so did big media who has been trying to push things toward an Article 25 debacle. As far as what he said in substance and whether it represented a tecktonic shift in position, I tend to thing it was a tower of babble. That is a New York tactic, and the first time I had it used against me, in a contentious negotiation, where a mobbed up Teamster boss did that to buy time, while me and my negotiating team asked ourselves, what the fuck did he say?

  4. Tucker Carlson did not play this video from the meeting:

Tucker does not seem to understand that for President Trump a “clean” DACA bill means the wall and the other security items such as end of chain migration.

The squirrel never sees the cat coming.

  5. And Rasmussen said Hillary had a 97% chance of winning JB… get real
I saw that earlier in the day and said “bring it on”!
Pretty sure they didn’t poll anywhere in the middle of this great Country.

Admin, I too had seen that video with the squirrel and even though I felt sorry for that dang baby squirrel, you had to laugh your a$$ off at that couple, especially the man.

Old men, and cats, usually ( lol )

  6. Also saw that article about the wealthy Chinese taking advantage of our anchor baby bs.

They shop at Rodeo blvd and we pay their hospital bills. How insane is that.

    This has got to stop

  7. Lol ACE… Democrats really will fall for anything

If you are claiming to be a mental health practitioner, Don’t you think you should be licensed?
Yale University psychology professor Bandy Lee has deleted her Twitter account amid mounting allegations that she is not licensed in her home state of Connecticut.
Accusations have been circulating on Twitter that the prominent Yale professor, known for her public diagnosis of President Donald Trump as having a “mental impairment” and who recently met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to discuss the issue, isn’t actually a licensed psychiatrist.

  8. JB…Did you see the attack Seal, of all people, had for Oprah…a dagger right to her heart…I don’t think Oprah is going to want to gamble her adored & cushy life for the rough & tough world of politics

  9. Admin:

I read this article earlier today and it kind of falls into what you’re saying.
If potus has an immigration policy expert advocate wrangling for him, I think I understand with a bit more clarity how this is going to work.

Reading your posts for the last ten years of stellar predictions hitting the target; I have complete confidence, you are correct on the strategy.

  10. Sessions orders DOJ review after report Obama administration gave Hezbollah a pass

EXCLUSIVE: Attorney General Jeff Sessions is launching a review of a law enforcement initiative called Project Cassandra after an investigative report was published this week claiming the Obama administration gave a free pass to Hezbollah’s drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations to help ensure the Iran nuclear deal would stay on track.

The Justice Department said in a statement to Fox News that Sessions on Friday directed a review of prior Drug Enforcement Administration investigations “to evaluate allegations that certain matters were not properly prosecuted and to ensure all matters are appropriately handled.”

“While I am hopeful that there were no barriers constructed by the last administration to allowing DEA agents to fully bring all appropriate cases under Project Cassandra, this is a significant issue for the protection of Americans,” Sessions said in a written statement. “We will review these matters and give full support to investigations of violent drug trafficking organizations.”

According to a bombshell exposé in Politico on Sunday, an elaborate campaign led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, known as Project Cassandra, targeted the Lebanese militant group’s criminal activities.

Stephen K. Bannon parted ways with Breitbart News Tuesday, and it was hardly unexpected, given his spectacular burning of the bridge that connected him to President Donald Trump. The former Chairman of the rightwing media powerhouse founded by Andrew Breitbart leaves behind him many questions. We will not see his like again, although we have, undoubtedly, not seen the last of him.

Bannon is many things; a Navy veteran, a graduate of Georgetown University, a fashion icon, and a true rabble-rouser who lingered somewhere between the undefined worlds of populist-conservatism and the alt-right. He could have been a contender and, perhaps, he will be yet. Bannon was a legend in his own lunchtime and became the man who would be king-maker. Did he lose his mind, as Trump claims? All evidence suggests that, yes, he probably did. While there is more depth to him than many realize, Steve Bannon – Steve, to his friends – has a problem with judgment.

Leaving his comfort zone at Breitbart to enter the political fray may have been his first erroneous decision. As a media opinion-maker, he might have done more for then-candidate Trump than he did by joining the president’s campaign team. Certainly, his part in the Trump victory cannot be dismissed out of hand, but Trump won the 2016 election because of several factors – the most significant of which being that he was, well, Trump. Bannon did not even join the team until after the president had vanquished his primary opponents. After that, Trump’s nemesis, Hillary Clinton, was more responsible for the president’s victory than was Bannon.

Once in the White House, Bannon fell victim to that irresistible lure of power. Indeed, he may have seen himself as the power behind the power, but he found himself – or placed himself – on the wrong side of the president’s trusted advisors and, worse, family members; Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump. They were not his greatest foes, however. Two far more formidable characters brought about his downfall.

The first of those two characters was himself. Thinking, perhaps, that he could carve out his own little empire at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, he fed information to the media that appeared, primarily, to make himself look more influential than he was. As the hubris overtook him, Bannon then failed to understand the danger of the Michael Wolffe at the door. Wolffe was an attention-hungry, second-rate journalist who fancied himself the man who could bring down the president. Bannon gave Wolffe access to the Whitehouse, along with a couple of juicy quotes for the latter’s fanciful hit-job book. He was sowing the seeds of his own demise.

The second aforementioned formidable character who ended Bannon’s brief career in politics was White House Chief of Staff John Kelly – a man for whom the word formidable may have been created. Kelly was brought in to clear the field, so to speak; to cut the brush, streamline operations, and ensure that the Good Ship White House would not suffer the same fate as the Titanic.

So, Steve Bannon was out; him and his several layers of clothing. He quickly slid back into his position at Breitbart News, but then Michael Wolffe’s book came out. Although, clearly, a work of fantasy more imaginative than Lord of the Rings, Wolffe had quoted Bannon’s less-than-glowing opinions of the Trumps. In particular, he attached the word “treasonous” to the actions of Don Jr.

  12. BOUNTY: Inspector General Probes Large Cash Prizes Handed Out to Anti-Trump FBI Agents

Potentially illicit private performance bonuses — or political payoffs — between $30,000 and upwards of $50,000 possibly awarded to high-ranking FBI agents have caught the eye of the Inspector General, according to federal law enforcement sources.

Your tax dollars at work at the FBI.

The two levels for cash awards include the Meritorious award and Distinguished rank award, sources said. Recipients receive a cash prize of 20 percent of their base pay for Meritorious and a cash prize of 35 percent of their salary for Distinguished level awards.

How many cash rewards were handed out among the FBI’s hierarchy? No one truly knows because the laws than govern the award system allow the recipients to remain private. But according to documents obtained by True Pundit, we do know FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was one recipient of the program. McCabe received an approximate $35,000 award from then- FBI Director Robert Mueller prior to his retirement from the Bureau.

Ironically, Mueller is now allegedly investigating McCabe’s role in the Trump Russia and Trump dossier scandals, as U.S. Special Counsel. Sounds like another conflict of interest.

“This is a significant amount of money for any FBI employee,” the source said. “We need to know who has been getting these awards and why and how many were under the table.”

  13. More fun from the “no Trump normalization” bunch:

Democratic leaders face internal mutiny over Dreamers deal
Liberals are worried that a DACA deal will give conservatives too much.

Democratic leaders are facing a potential revolt within their ranks as they edge toward a deal with Republicans that would protect Dreamers from deportation but also include concessions to conservatives that many Democratic lawmakers say are unacceptable. [snip]

But many Democrats, particularly in the House, are horrified that their leaders would even agree to discuss issues beyond legal status for Dreamers and limited measures to curb illegal immigration. The concerns span multiple factions of the Democratic conference, and, combined with opposition from Republican immigration hard-liners, they could put passage of a DACA deal at risk.

During a tense meeting Tuesday night, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California and other top Democrats were dressed down by rank-and-file Democrats over the talks.

“We’re willing to give a little when it comes to border security, but we’re not willing to give away the whole hog and farm,” said Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus who attended the meeting. [snip]

The tensions couldn’t come at a worse time for Democrats. Liberals and members of the minority caucuses — particularly the CHC and the Congressional Black Caucus — are urging their leadership to stand firm and resist the push from Republicans and some Senate Democrats to negotiate on items outside the scope of Dreamers and border security.

But moderates and vulnerable members in competitive districts are hungry for a deal and willing to openly entertain the controversial changes. Not to mention that Republicans in the White House and in both chambers of Congress have agreed those were the parameters of the talks and have been negotiating accordingly. [snip]

Key Democrats are sympathetic to the furor from their left flank but aware something needs to pass Congress that can win Trump’s signature. [snip]

Durbin heard the complaints firsthand from members of the minority caucuses when he met with them Tuesday, and he acknowledged the internal party pushback.

“We talked in the most general terms about the issues that we’re facing. And there’s controversy associated with them. There’s no question,” Durbin said. “Believe me, we hear them loud and clear.” [snip]

Some of the fiercest Democratic resistance to the emerging plan is coming from members of the Congressional Black Caucus, who are among the biggest proponents on Capitol Hill of the diversity visa lottery. The program doles out green cards for people from countries with lower rates of immigration to the United States, so it covers a lot of African and Caribbean immigrants. [snip]

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) was particularly vocal about the issue during the meeting with Democratic leaders Tuesday night. The CBC also discussed the topic at the group’s weekly lunch Wednesday. In a pre-emptive attempt to head off a Democratic rebellion, Pelosi met with Clarke and leaders of the CBC on Wednesday in an effort to soothe tensions.

  14. Big news from Ohio.

Recently Josh Mandel, who was running for the Senate against Sherrod Brown, quit the race due to his wife’s illness. The only GOP senate candidate left was a John Kasich ally.

Today Jim Renacci a strong Trump supporter announced he is quitting the race for Governor and will instead run for the U.S. Senate. Renacci supported Trump during the primaries even as Ohio Governor John Kasich demanded all GOPer support the Kasich campaign.

After receiving encouragement from top aides of President Donald Trump, U.S. Rep. Jim Renacci is “very likely” to announce Thursday that he will run for the U.S. Senate, according to sources close to Ohio Republican politics.

The Wadsworth Republican, who had been in a three-way primary for the Republican nomination for governor, decided to run for Senate after a meeting Wednesday morning at the White House.

A source familiar with the meeting said Renacci, who was asked to visit the White House, was encouraged enough by senior White House political aides to drop his gubernatorial bid and run for the Senate.

“The White House indicated they think he would be a very good candidate for the United States Senate and laid out the reasons why they believe it,” said the source.

The White House confirmed that Renacci visited. Renacci also has spoken to Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, about a potential bid.

A GOP source in Washington said Renacci also got a positive reception speaking with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and at the National Republican Senate Committee, the party’s campaign arm.

Another possible candidate for the Senate campaign, Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance, also reportedly met with McConnell after talking to him by phone over the weekend, according to a GOP source on Capitol Hill. But privately, some party leaders acknowledge there would be problems with a Vance candidacy, including the fact that he did not vote for Trump.

Vance and Renacci could be competing for the seat now held by Democrat Sherrod Brown after GOP state Treasurer Josh Mandel suddenly dropped out of the race Friday, citing his wife’s health.

  15. What a way with words:

Trump attacks protections for immigrants from ‘shithole’ countries

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they floated restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to several people briefed on the meeting.

Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers.

Trump then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries like Norway, whose prime minister he met with on Wednesday. The president, according to a White House official, also suggested he would be open to more immigrants from Asian countries because they help the United States economically.

In addition, the president singled out Haiti, telling lawmakers that immigrants from that country must be left out of any deal, these people said.

“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting. “Take them out.”

The comments left lawmakers taken aback, according to people familiar with their reactions. Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) had proposed cutting the visa lottery program by 50 percent and then prioritizing countries already in the system, a White House official said. [snip]

The remarks were quickly met with scorn from Democrats and some Republicans and could throw another wrench into bipartisan discussions on immigration, which had shown promise in recent days, according to legislators.

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) said the comments “will shake the confidence that people have” in the ongoing immigration policy talks. [snip]

For many of Trump’s supporters, however, the comments may not prove to be particularly damaging. [snip]

Outlining a potential bipartisan deal, the lawmakers discussed restoring protections for countries that have been removed from the temporary protected status program while adding $1.5 billion for a border wall and making changes to the visa lottery system. Lawmakers mentioned that members of the CBC had requested that some African countries be included in the protective status program, according to a White House official who asked for anonymity to describe a private conversation.

The exchange was “salty” on all sides, this person said, with the president growing profane and animated while discussing immigrants from other countries. “It did not go well,” this person said. [snip]

Trump had seemed amenable to a deal earlier in the day during phone calls with lawmakers, aides said, but shifted his position in the meeting and did not seem interested in the bipartisan compromise.

The scene played out hurriedly in the morning. Graham and Durbin thought they would be meeting with Trump alone and were surprised to find immigration hard-liners such as Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) at the meeting. White House and Hill aides say Stephen Miller, the president’s top immigration official, was concerned there could be a deal proposed that was too liberal and made sure other conservative lawmakers were present.

After the meeting, Marc Short, Trump’s legislative aide, said the White House was nowhere near a bipartisan agreement on immigration.

“We still think we can get there,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said at the daily White House news briefing.

Lindsey Graham hardest hit. These dolts really believed President Trump would sign anything. Somehow these dolts missed what we heard very clearly ‘I’ll sign anything that gives me everything I want.’

  16. Good idea!

  17. Hi S. I just read the Seal attack on Oprah. Compelling but I just think the idea of being the first woman AA American Prez is too much for her to pass up on. It kind of shows you how the dems have no real viable choice so they embrace a billionaire celebrity while condemning the “deplorables” for doing the same for Trump.

  18. Master negotiator.

He puts the worst leftists and the worst rinos together thus and told them he would sign whatever they came up with, and told them this was an act of love

Then he left them in a room to “negotiate”.

Within a few hours they came up with a bill that gave their donors cheap labor and their would be voters amnesty followed by citizenship.

Then those deluded morons told the press they had a deal and they marched over to the white house to tell him what he would have to sign.

But, but, but, when the door swung open the president was not there.

Instead, a group of amnesty hawks by the name of Perdue, Cotton, Goodlatte, Labrador. were standing there waiting to tell them that the sweetheart deal they connived did not stand the chance of a snowball in hell.

Not at all what those zealots expected.

Flake fainted, Graham came out of the closet, Durbin shit on the floor, and Hoyer tried to impersonate George Raft, to escape.

Well, if that is love, then in must be tough love, because they may not get out of that conference room alive.

And what could possibly be wrong with that???

  19. Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper practically in tears today over “shithole countries.”

I nominate both of them for “best performance in a virtue signaling role.”

  20. What would you call a place where the illiteracy rate is through the roof, basic sanitation is not practice, AIDs afflicts 40% of the population, the Ebola virus rages from time to time, war lords run the land, superstition prevails over rational thinking, genital mutilation is all the rage, and they all want to come here to Ammmmmmmmmmerica to live off the taxpayers?

I mean a slang term which incorporates this description?

Somehow the term “developing country” does not cover it, because it is not informative of what we are really dealing with. It is closer to a lie than the truth.

Let those who reach for the smelling slats when President Trump calls them shit hole countries and asks why we should be importing those conditions into this country, and how it benefits the people in this country, as opposed to the corrupt political class.

Let those who advocate importing these problems into our country, and inflicting them on the domestic population, bring them into their own communities and their own homes, to prove to the world they are not hypocrites, and to make their phony virtue signalling real.

  21. JbStonesFan, suggest you read more than just the Seal attack against Oprah.

Understand that Donald Trump prepped to run for president completely under the radar. Trump made some noises in late 2014/early 2015 about running for president but they were the same noises he made many times about running only to decide at the end of he process he was not running.

Oprah at the Golden Globes only managed to open herself to research operations and behind the tapestry backstabbing. If Oprah had prepped for years for a run then made a spectacle of herself at the Golden Globes in January 2020 followed up by an announcement of an independent or Dim Party candidacy, we would ring alarm bells. But Oprah did not do that. Oprah made a show of herself three years before the next election year.

In the interim, there will be undermining of Oprah. All Oprah managed to do was signal to Dim candidates that they should begin to investigate Oprah and organize anti-Oprah articles and news stories for publication at the right moment. There are already a lot of Dim strategists warning against Oprah.

Check out some of these links:….0…1c.1.64.psy-ab..10.7.517…33i21k1.0.tzAwpn2G4ZY

Check out Elizabeth Warren’s comments against Oprah. Check out Paul Waldman:

This is not the first time this suggestion has been made, nor is Oprah the first celebrity who has inspired that kind of talk (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has said he’s “seriously considering” running). But let’s all take a breath. If you watched her Golden Globes speech and said “She should run,” then the 2016 election and the first year of the Trump presidency have addled your brain.

That’s not to say Oprah didn’t give a great speech, because she did, and speech-making is indeed part of running for and serving as president. Oprah has spent a career talking on television and connecting with audiences, and she’s very good at it. On the other hand, I could argue that she should be disqualified simply on the basis of her promotion of “The Secret,” a multimedia juggernaut that claimed that the entire universe and every moment of human experience are governed by “the law of attraction.” This is the idea that if you wish really hard for something — say, washboard abs or a new Birkin bag — it will, through the magical power created by your thoughts, find its way to you. With Oprah’s help, and because America produces an endless supply of gullible nincompoops, “The Secret” was a gigantic hit. [snip]

The question for Democrats is who would win and who would be the best president of all the available options. Neither I nor anyone else really knows how she would respond to the challenges of that most challenging job. Being president isn’t like hosting a talk show or running a media brand. Oprah’s success in her field is no more indicative of her potential to be a good president than Trump’s success in real estate was. You can’t criticize Trump for having no relevant experience or evident understanding of public policy, then say that the solution for Democrats is just to throw up their hands and find their own celebrity to promote.

We would enjoy The Rock versus The Talker for the Dim nomination:

But you don’t need to be an Oprah-level megastar to get the “for President” treatment: Winfrey’s moment comes along with those of Tom Hanks, also urged to run for office by Meyers at the Golden Globes, and Dwayne Johnson, who’s responded with affable bafflement but left the door open. If Winfrey runs—imagine!—she’d likely clear the field, but if she rules it out, surely five more American-born movie stars or musicians over 35 will face down questions. (Beyoncé, having recently turned 36, is eligible; Nicole Kidman, born in Hawaii, is too!)

Black writers are worried and don’t want Oprah for prez:

I recognize that Oprah doesn’t just reverberate emotionally in Hollywood but in America as a whole, but do you understand why that is? It’s because Oprah doesn’t decide how much you pay in taxes. Oprah doesn’t send drone strikes. Oprah doesn’t have to be friendly with racist, homophobic or misogynist politicians in order to pass legislature.

Furthermore, what do we really know about Oprah’s politics? [snip]

For one, is it in America’s best interest for another billionaire to run for president?

    Oppo research will be easy:

Since everyone’s suddenly talking about Oprah 2020, let’s talk about what her campaign might look like — or more specifically, what her opponents might do to it.

There’s no reason to think politics will become any less brutal in the next two years. And there’s every reason to expect that opposition researchers would happily dig through Oprah Winfrey’s storied history as a talk-show host, cultural icon, fake book promoter, advocate of mystical healing powers, fearer of hamburgers and apparent chum of Harvey Weinstein.

Not to mention the child sex abuse scandal. [snip]

Some might prefer to forget the cascading disasters of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. [snip]

Several months later, a dorm matron was arrested and accused of sexually abusing at least half- a-dozen seventh- and eighth-graders.

Oprah was reportedly heartbroken. She cried for half an hour, she told reporters in a news conference after the matron’s arrest. She accused school officials of covering up the scandal. They told the girls to “put on happy faces,” Winfrey said.

She dismissed the head mistress and promised to clean house at the academy.

But less than two years later, with the dorm matron’s trial still pending, several girls were suspended or expelled after accusations that they tried to force other students into sexual and romantic relationships.

And then the original accusations began to unravel.

The next year, the Guardian reported, Oprah settled with the headmistress, who had accused her of defamation by suggesting that she knew of the dorm matron’s actions.

A few months after that, the dorm matron was acquitted of all charges, the Guardian wrote. A judge had found the girls’ accusations self-contradictory and not credible.

The matron told reporters that her life had been ruined. She was broke, unemployed and said she didn’t know if she could ever forgive Winfrey, who continued to stand by the girls’ accusations. [snip]

If Winfrey becomes president, she would have enormous influence over American health care, including nominating the surgeon general and health secretary.

She’s already selected “America’s doctor.” That’s Winfrey’s term for Mehmet Oz, better known as Dr. Oz on her show, where he became famous for dispensing health advice in the mid-2000s — including the classic segment, “Everybody Poops.”

Today, as The Washington Post wrote, Oz has his own show and may be the country’s most influential physician. And he regularly uses that influence to promote treatments with no scientific basis, including, literally, “magic” beans.

Oz may not necessarily be politically toxic — Trump appeared on his show during the 2016 campaign — but he’s become a pariah in the medical community. Winfrey booted him from her media network two years ago after a group of physicians accused him of “quack treatments.”

Nor is he the only accused quack Winfrey has embraced: As the Guardian wrote, she’s been blamed for boosting Jenny McCarthy’s anti-vaccine crusade. And Winfrey has repeatedly plugged a mystical self-help system called “The Secret,” which claims that thinking good thoughts (and buying DVDs) can cure emotional, financial and physical problems.

Winfrey’s first show about “The Secret” helped make a believer of Kim Tinkham, who had recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She told Winfrey in 2007 that the system had inspired her to ignore her doctors, who told her she needed immediate surgery and treatment. “I’ve decided to heal myself,” Tinkham said. [snip]

It began with an episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” in 1996, amid widespread fears of so-called mad cow disease, a potentially fatal illness that humans can catch by eating certain organs of infected cattle.

Though the disease’s spread had actually peaked a few years earlier, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Winfrey brought a vegetarian activist onto her show — and this happened:

“You said this disease could make AIDS look like the common cold,” Winfrey told the activist, according to the Associated Press.

    “Absolutely,” the activist replied.

“It has just stopped me from eating another burger!” Winfrey exclaimed, and her audience applauded.

Ranchers said beef prices crashed to a 10-year-low the next day. [snip]

In fall 2005, she brought author James Frey onto her show, who had written a harrowing memoir about overcoming alcohol and drug addiction.

“If you’ve ever had to live through this with somebody you love, here is a story that was written for you,” Winfrey told her viewers.

The rest of the segment was filled with passages from Frey’s book, “A Million Little Pieces”:

Frey regaining consciousness in an airplane with no memory and missing teeth; Frey getting dental surgery without anesthesia; Frey freebasing cocaine and “snort[ing] glue.”

“I heave and it comes,” Frey recited from the book. “The burning vomit comes and comes again and again and again.”

Winfrey enthusiastically recommended “A Million Little Pieces” for her book club. It sold more than 2 million copies over the next two months, the New York Times reported.

Then reporters looked into Frey’s stories and forced him to admit that he’d made many of them up. [snip]

Winfrey stood by the author, even after he admitted to exaggerating many stories. “What is relevant is that he was a drug addict who spent years in turmoil,” she told Larry King. “It seems to be much ado about nothing.”

Now critics turned on Winfrey, too. A Washington Post writer called her “deluded.” [snip]

“There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism,” Winfrey said, according to MSNBC. “And they just have to die.”

Her logic was celebrated by some — “Oprah Joins the Long Line of People Waiting for Old Racists to Die,” for example.

But right-leaning sites accused her of playing race politics to sell movie tickets.

Anticipating the deaths of any potential voters, even old racists, can’t lend itself to a positive presidential campaign.

Oprah palled around with Harvey Weinstein

Speaking of “The Butler,” it was co-produced by Harvey Weinstein, the movie mogul now accused of serial sexual assault. His fall from grace last year helped expose a culture of predation on women in Hollywood and inspired Winfrey’s Golden Globes speech, which may in turn launch her presidential campaign.

But Weinstein’s behavior was reportedly an open secret in the industry, which might make all the photos of Winfrey schmoozing around with him a political problem.

Conservatives are already gleefully cataloguing the pictures.

Elizabeth Warren sees the threat to herself, not Trump:

Warren: ‘I don’t know’ if Americans want another celebrity president like Oprah

There’s also “negro in the house” and all her lies about her life, and the crack usage. The next three years will be National Enquirer heaven as they deploy “researchers” to dig up information about Oprah’s tax dodge house in Santa Barbara and every other dirty aspect. If Hillary Clinton retains one neuron in her head she will also remember 2007/2008 and help Oprah lose.

  22. They really thought President Trump would sign anything. Dopes.

A group of senators announced they’d made a breakthrough on immigration talks Thursday but President Trump and GOP leaders rebuffed them, saying the outlines of their agreement didn’t appear to be strong enough to win enough Republican support.

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham and Democratic Sen. Richard Durbin presented their plan to President Trump, saying they’d taken care of all four of his priorities with action to protect Dreamers, more border fencing, curtailing the Diversity Visa Lottery and imposing some limits on the chain of family migration.

But they were opposed by other Republican lawmakers in the meeting who said the deal needed to be stronger.

In the end, the White House sent the members back to keep working. [snip]

The Graham-Durbin deal appeared skewed toward Democrats’ priorities without doing enough to win over Republicans, who control the White House and both chambers of Congress — albeit by a slim margin in the Senate.

The deal would have offered Mr. Trump less than 10 percent of his border wall, and only a 3 percent cut to existing paths of family-based chain migration.

It would have eliminated the Diversity Visa Lottery, as Mr. Trump has demanded, but it would have taken the 50,000 annual lottery visas and used them to create a new pathway to citizenship for hundreds of thousands of would-be illegal immigrants in the U.S. under temporary humanitarian protections.

Countries such as El Salvador, Haiti and Honduras make up the majority of people here under that special Temporary Protected Status — and the demand that they be covered in any immigration deal appeared to to irk the president.

The Washington Post reported that he used an expletive to describe those countries in Thursday’s meeting, and wondered why the senators were focused on them instead of welcoming people from developed nations. Mr. Trump’s derisive remark drew condemnation from across the political spectrum.

Still, the substance of the Graham-Durbin proposal met with pushback from other congressional Republicans in the meeting, who said the plan didn’t come close to making a dent in future illegal immigration.

Pressure groups that push for stricter immigration limits said the president was right to reject the deal.

“This is a joke. This is not a serious proposal in any way,” said Rosemary Jenks, government relations manager at NumbersUSA.

For their part, Democrats are under intense pressure from immigrant-rights organizations and liberal pressure groups not to deal with the GOP and to insist only on a bill that grants legal status for Dreamers.

Some of the pressure groups have said they want to see Democrats force a government shutdown showdown unless they get their way.

Politico, a politics-focused website, used the word “mutiny” to describe the debate within the Democratic Party.

These people must truly believe that President Trump is a total dope when the truth is they are the dopes. President Trump indeed will sign anything – that gives him what he wants. The second clause is the operative one.

It’s not all anger and condemnation in Africa after President Donald Trump’s vulgar remark about immigrants. Some on the continent say they agree.

“President Donald Trump is absolutely right. Africa is a continent of shit,” says Mamady Traore, a 30-year-old sociologist in the West African nation of Guinea. “When you have heads of state who mess with the constitutions to perpetuate their power. When you have rebel factions that kill children, disembowel women as saints, who mutilate innocent civilians. Frankly, it must be said that it’s crap.”

  24. Interesting that the President picked Hati of all placed to draw everyones attention to regarding living conditions and corruption.
So, what was the last big thing to happen there? Who said they were going to help the Haitians? What organization collected 2 billion to help Hati?
Who is Trump going to bring the hammer down on?
    Prepping the battlefield.
Admin is right. Squirrels won’t see the cat…

  25. Excellent article:

This article documents Senator Kennedy’s ultimate immigration experiment in a petry dish. The experiment was given a 50yr trial on the progressive’s vision of the best way forward for America’s immigration policy. Not only our country’s immigration policy but the added bonus of Kennedy selecting and personaly recommending to help elect America’s first anti-American values candidate Barack Hussien Obama for president

We all know and have lived through the ramifications of how Kennedy’s stunted vision turned out for the good of America… Disaster!

“Children in America are brought up with a backwards view of the world, Obama said. Their moral universes are small and prejudiced, but progressive governing will open their minds.”
    Barack Obama. 06/31/2015

Ted Kennedy’s Real Legacy: 50 Years of Ruinous Immigration Law

Obama obliquely referred to Kennedy’s role in pushing his influential political accomplishment: The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965.

“Towards the end of his life, Ted reflected on how Congress has changed over time. And those who served earlier I think have those same conversations. It’s a more diverse, more accurate reflection of America than it used to be, and that is a grand thing, a great achievement,” Obama said.

In this case, Obama is right: It’s worth reflecting on how much America has changed since 1965, and examine the effects of the legislation Kennedy promoted that brought it about.

The passage of the act marked a fundamental change in America’s immigration policy: Rather than serving the interests of Americans and national unity by setting limits on immigration, the act put “family unification” as the top priority, serving the interests of foreigners first.

    Kennedy declared:

“First, our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually. Under the proposed bill, the present level of immigration remains substantially the same…

Secondly, the ethnic mix of this country will not be upset… Contrary to the charges in some quarters, [the bill] will not inundate America with immigrants from any one country or area, or the most populated and deprived nations of Africa and Asia…

In the final analysis, the ethnic pattern of immigration under the proposed measure is not expected to change as sharply as the critics seem to think… The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.”

excellent read. highly recommend. don’t miss it!

Reason I canceled my trip to London

is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for $1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal.

    Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!

  27. Facebook Bans Bestselling Author over ‘The Scandalous Presidency of Barack Obama’

Bestselling conservative author Matt Margolis has a new book coming out that is already banned on Facebook. Margolis’s first book, The Worst President in History, which detailed the failures of the Obama administration, was an instant hit last fall. Margolis used social media to market his presidential biography to #1 on Amazon. When he tried to market his latest, The Scandalous Presidency of Barack Obama, he was banned from Facebook groups for six days with no explanation. This is the ad Margolis created and posted.

    @ link:

Shockingly, Margolis paid for this ad to be “boosted” throughout Facebook using the advertiser program they offer. Facebook had no problem taking his money for this ad but banned him directly after he posted it to several groups. The groups he sent it to were all conservative-friendly groups that normally welcome such announcements and buy conservative books.

Facebook had no problem taking his money for this ad but banned him directly after he posted it to several groups. A spokesperson for Facebook told PJM that Margolis had shared his advertisement to too many groups in one hour and that several had deleted the post, leading to the ban. But upon investigation, Margolis found none of the groups in which he shared the post appeared to have deleted his post and, in fact, they have had discussions in the comments sections. Facebook rules are very ambiguous, however, not detailing how many posts are too many, but threatening to delete your account if you violate their unstated standards. No group contacted Margolis asking him to take down his posts. In fact, Conservative Libertarian Fiction Alliance group administrator Marina Fontaine expressed shock that Facebook would ban a conservative author from posting to conservative groups. “The purpose of conservative groups is to share ideas and support each other. What else are they for?” she asked.

Zuckerberg ever runs and wins the presidency, we’re in deep sh*t!

  28. Oprah the opportunist. Supported “women” until Hillary ran in 08 and at now supports women despite her alleged acquaintance with Mr. Weinstein. She took the national spot light for self-aggrandizement once again.

  29. I heard that about the embassy, I don’t think for a minute that’s the reason Trump Canceled London visit Mrs Smith

Tucker Carlson on Trump’s ‘s—hole’ remark: Why can’t you say that?

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Thursday night questioned the backlash over President Trump’s reported remarks on accepting immigrants from “shithole countries.”

Carlson said it would be dishonest to say one wouldn’t rather live in Norway, a country where Trump reportedly suggested that the U.S. focus on bringing in immigrants, than Haiti.

So if you say Norway is a better place to live and Haiti is kind of a hole, well anyone who’s been to those countries or has lived in them would agree. But we’re jumping up and down, ‘Oh, you can’t say that.’ Why can’t you say that?” Carlson asked following amid bipartisan criticism of Trump’s remarks.

Fox News host Jesse Watters also defended Trump’s remark Thursday, arguing that the “forgotten men and women” who make up the president’s base would approve of the comment.

Trump reportedly made the “shithole” comment in an Oval Office meeting after lawmakers suggested restoring protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and several African nations.

Carlson said that Trump’s use of strong language was not surprising given that the president swears “all the time” and asked why so many were treating the comment as a “major event.”

An awful lot of immigrants come from this country from other places that aren’t very nice,” Carlson continued. “Those places are dangerous, they’re dirty, they’re corrupt and they’re poor, and that’s the main reason those immigrants are trying to come here and you would too if you lived there.

The Trump administration decided Monday to revoke Temporary Protected Status for more than 200,000 Salvadorans seeking shelter in the U.S., forcing them to leave the country by 2019 or find another way to stay in the U.S. legally.

Carlson suggested earlier Thursday night on Twitter that if El Salvador was not a “shithole” then it wouldn’t need the extended protections.

“Option A: El Salvador isn’t a ‘shithole,’ so they don’t need 17 years of Temporary Protected Status, and migrants from there should be sent home immediately. Option B: El Salvador is, in fact, a ‘shithole,'” Carlson tweeted.

  31. Too many leaks and distractions as pointed out above. Trump is a business man and obviously an unconventional POTUS who speaks his mind. Every President likely has said similar or worse things and they are not reported. Obama called Bibi and Israel every name in the book and no one cared.

  32. Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of those in the meeting Thursday where President Trump reportedly called some developing nations “sh—hole” countries, used similar language himself during the last big immigration debate, calling Mexico and other Latin American nations “hellholes.”

Then why the big media meltdown when Trump said it?

Because Trump highlighted a problem which the elites have been sweeping under the rug for years, refusing to cover the cost of illegal immigration, the high percentage of our jail population which is illegal, and the violence these policies have inflicted on the country, because the TRUTH does not conform to their narrative which is all about votes for dims and cheap labor for RINO donors.

  33. Wbboei, check this one out. This is getting almost no attention but we find it rather startling, especially since it is an Obama appointed judge:

Federal Court Order for FBI to surrender ex-FBI chief James Comey Memos to court by next week

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton responded to a ruling made by United States District Judge James E. Boasberg on Thursday night that the FBI must turn over to the court for in camera, non-public review former FBI Director James Comey’s memos allegedly detailing conversations he had with President Donald Trump:

The court, in seeking to review the documents, shows it doesn’t trust the FBI or Justice Department’s representations about the infamous Comey memos. We hope now that Americans are one step closer to knowing the facts about these memos, which were written and leaked for pernicious purposes to target a sitting president with a criminal investigation. It’s high time they begin to see the light of day. We’re glad the court followed up on our specific suggestion that it review the documents directly.

The court order tells the government to turn over the Comey memos for review by January 18. In doing so, the court rejects arguments by the Sessions Justice Department to dismiss the lawsuits seeking the Comey information.

On June 16, 2017, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for “ FBI Director James Comey’s February 14, 2017 memorandum … memorializing an Oval Office conversation he had with the President on that date regarding former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.”

On September 7, 2017, Judicial Watch filed a related FOIA lawsuit on behalf of the Daily Caller News Foundation for “all unclassified memoranda authored by former FBI Director James Comey that contemporaneously memorialized his discussions with President Donald Trump and his aides.”

Judicial Watch recently made court filings on behalf the Daily Caller News Foundation and on behalf of Judicial Watch, requesting that the Justice Department be ordered to produce all Comey’s unclassified memoranda about his one-on-one conversations with the president. Judicial Watch argued that “at a minimum, the Court should review the Comey Memos in camera to determine whether all responsive records have been located. This can be easily accomplished by comparing the memos to the very public testimony of Director Comey.”

The Justice Department previously argued to the court that Comey’s leak of the memo regarding former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was unauthorized and compared it to WikiLeaks.

Comey admitted to Congress regarding the “Flynn” memo, “I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter [for The New York Times] … I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.” The New York Times published a report about the memo on May 16, 2017. Special Counsel Robert Mueller was appointed the following day.

Both Judicial Watch cases have been consolidated in Cable News Network, Inc., v. Federal Bureau of Investigation (No. 1:17-cv-01167).

  34. Lots of documents begin to flow to congressional investigators:

  35. Mark Penn sees where this is all going:

FBI’s Strzok’s texts ‘most damaging’ ever seen; fire him and criminally investigate, fmr. Clinton strategist says

Former Clinton strategist, Mark Penn, on Friday, said FBI special agent Peter Strozok, who was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, should be fired.

“I think that [text] is one of the most damaging things I’ve ever seen from someone in the government in every level. I don’t understand how he’s still employed by the FBI. I don’t understand how a criminal investigation hasn’t been opened to all of this,” Penn told the FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo on “Mornings with Maria.” “To me, that is hugely damaging to confidence and the FBI. These two folks were having an affair and using official government channels for their personal communications. That alone would have made them a security threat.”

President Donald Trump in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Thursday accused Peter Strzok of committing “treason” over a text message that mentioned an “insurance policy” if Trump were elected.

Marc Lotter, former special assistant to President Trump, doubled-down on Trump’s comments.

“When you’re talking about insurance policies and backup plans to overturn the will of the voter and the election, that sounds pretty treasonous to me,” he told Bartiromo. “So I think the president, the Justice Department, and the FBI need to take a serious look into this investigation and I think we’re seeing that taking place on Capitol Hill.”

  36. gonzotx 10:24 pm – PDT’s awards ceremony was postponed until Wed (???) next week.

After all the coverage of Obama/Letterman/Netflix
    came the Dawn:
October 24 2012: “One of Barack Obama’s biggest fans in the media, David Letterman, said on Tuesday’s Late Show that he was “upset” and “discouraged” the president during Monday’s debate lied about Mitt Romney wanting to let Detroit go bankrupt (video follows with transcript and commentary):”

Google returned two FULL pages of the current letterman interview before yielding the lie. It’s likely floating at or near the top of PDT’s mind, but I was slow to recall it and is another instance of how Donald seems to make sense of things … like Mitt Romney considering a Senate run.

  37. Gonzo

“Reason I canceled my trip to London

    Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!”

Not a streah, Gonzo.. Trump hasn’t firmed up a date yet to visit the Royals.
So, to go to London for a ribbon cutting ceremony he had nothing to do with
is not surprisingly in his purview, especially when it involves his nemesis, BO
You have to factor in Trump’s first line of work was real estate. He prided himself
on finishing his projects “ahead of time and under budget.” The embassy project
is so wrong on so many levels it boggles the mind. i.e. For Obama to sell our embassy
in an exclusive prime location in London for ‘peanuts’ begs the question, WHY?

Then to see BO spending an exorbitant amount of money moving the embassy to
a far less desirable location spending $1.2B dollars building a new embassy. Why?
Short on the selling end- but long on the Buying end.. Looks like someone is making
$$ on these RE swaps. I was RE agent for many years. Politicians do many things
under the radar their constituents are unaware of until it’s too late.

This could be just the tip of the iceberg. Recently, I read BO had been selling Federal Lands..perhaps to oil companies? BO is/was always thick with the Bushes…

Yes, I believe the reason given by Trump for not going to the UK just now… and I’m sure
it has given him pause on the questions posed above needing more exploration.

  38. More see the obvious and agree with us:

Jamie Dimon: Dems don’t have a strong candidate for 2020

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said in an interview on Friday that the Democratic Party does not have a strong candidate for the 2020 presidential election.

The thing about the Democrats is they will not have a chance, in my opinion. They don’t have a strong centrist, pro-business, pro-free enterprise person,” Dimon told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business’s “Wall Street Week.”

The American public is not clamoring for more government. They were angry about the Great Recession, they blamed banks, they blamed Washington, but they’re also angry about the bureaucracy,” he continued.

Democrats are set to attempt to take back both chambers of Congress in 2018, while speculation swirls around a slew of potential candidates to take on President Trump in 2020.

Figures such as Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and former Vice President Joe Biden have all been floated as possible contenders.

Dimon, who serves as the chairman of the Business Roundtable, said in November that Trump would likely be a one-term president. He has since said he regrets those comments.

2020 will be a “stay the course” election, not a “change” election. As Trump “makes America great again” he will declare that we should continue with him in charge and not change for the worse. Trump wins bigly.

  39. True or not this helps President Trump:

Moby Says CIA Agents Asked Him to Spread the Word About Trump and Russia
“They said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that… sort of put it out there.’”

Last February, following the Presidential inauguration of Donald Trump, Moby posted on social media claiming to have insider information on connections between the Trump administration and Russia. The producer/DJ said that “after talking to friends in DC,” he had allegedly learned that the Fusion GPS dossier was “100% real” and that the Russian government was “blackmailing” the president. Now, in a new interview with WFPK in Louisville, Kentucky, Moby has doubled down on his claims (as CoS points out).

Talking with WFPK’s Kyle Meredith, Moby cited “active and former CIA agents” who were “truly concerned” about Trump’s collusion with Russia. “They were like, ‘This is the Manchurian Candidate, like [Putin] has a Russian agent as the President of the United States,’” he said. “So they passed on some information to me and they said, like, ‘Look, you have more of a social media following than any of us do, can you please post some of these things just in a way that … sort of put it out there.’”

He added, “It’s really disturbing and it’s going to get quite a lot darker. Like the depths of the Trump family in business and their involvement with organized crime, sponsored terrorism, Russian oligarchs, it’s really dark. I guess we should all, like, fasten our seat belts and hold on.”

The “dossier” is a product of the Deep State conspiracy against President Trump. Moby confirms that the Deep State was plotting against candidate and President Trump. That Moby is so stupid he believes the dossier is in any way true after all the revelations thus far only proves Moby is stupid. Moby should be asked to testify and identify the Deep State operatives he says asked him to push the FusionGPS/FBI lies.

  40. That Moby is so stupid he believes the dossier is in any way true after all the revelations thus far only proves Moby is stupid. Moby should be asked to testify and identify the Deep State operatives he says asked him to push the FusionGPS/FBI lies.

Sessions should be right on that… but OTOH… they may be related?

  41. This will get minds off DACA, but worse for PDT.

“Hawaii emergency officials confirmed Saturday that an alert warning that a ballistic missile was inbound to the island was a mistake.
Earlier Saturday, Hawaiian citizens reported receiving an emergency alert on their phone that stated: “BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.”

Prior to this as I poked around the web, Keith Ellison is busy holding Town Halls for Dreamers in PA. Feels like the last great push.

Yes, it is interesting alright. Particularly since this judge is an Obamaite, and normally rules that way. My only assumption is he does not want to get snookered like the FISA judge did, by lying FBI agent, when he issued a warrant based on false evidence. That may be part of what is going on. And incidentally, Mark Levin and others want to know the identity of the FISA judge, and none of these judges wants to be seen as a fool. I believe you will see more of this not trusting the FBI by judges, and insisting on verifying whatever they say.

  43. The decision handed down by the FISA judge violated the 4th amendment rights of people in the Trump campaign. No judge wants to be known for that. Oh sure, he can tell himself he simply responded to the evidence put before him. But that is not an affirmative defense. I suspect that this judge did not do his homework, and relied on the reputation of the FBI which is now in tatters in crediting the dirty dossier. Now, I suspect, he is embarrassed.

  44. The word has to be circulating through the Judiciary that the FBI will play them for a sucker, unless they keep their guard up.

  45. To illustrate how this thing works, an Alaska attorney I had the misfortune of dealing with on an admiralty case in Homer Alaska forty years ago, went into court on an unrelated matter and presented a forged deed on behalf of his native american client. The Judge in that case, Singleton, stopped him in the middle of the submission and read him his Miranda rights. Singleton was a well respected judge, and ended up on the court of appeals. That is what would have happened with the Justice Department lawyers had the FISA judge known that the dirty dossier (which was apparently the evidentiary basis for the seeking the warrant) was fraudulent and the FBI agent who knew it to be fraudulent, and characterized it as an insurance policy to be take down Trump in case he was elected. That is what has got to be bothering that FISA judge as more information comes out.

  46. By now, I assume that the Inspector General has interviewed the co conspirators whose names–and incriminating emails which are now in the public domain. He was supposed to report his findings to Congress this month. The other shoe that needs to drop is the whistleblower represented by Victoria Toensing, whom we should also hear from this month. Sessions needs to put a freeze on McCabe’s pension pending resolution of this matter. As noted, he and his wife already have $750,000 launded through his wife’s failed campaign which sure looks like a bribe to exonerate Hillary.

Yes, I think he thrives on the challenge and has been looking better and better since taking office.

  48. HoldThemAccountable, the Hawaii missile mess probably helps President Trump bigly.

    1) It was the non-stop news story of the day and probably will be a part of the news stream for the next several days. This wiped the “shithole” story Big Media is fixated on off the front pages for at least a while. At the worst, the “shithole” story will be viewed as not so important in a world where annihilation is a distinct possibility.

    2) The story makes everyone realize that North Korea is indeed a threat. Hawaii had about 20 minutes before the bomb hit if the warning had been accurate. No one knew what to do. People have to be thinking that planning for an attack has to begin to take place. The danger to the U.S. was made very real and not just a theoretical abstraction not worthy of attention.

    3) The story makes the North Korean threat more relevant and thereby gives President Trump more leeway in his plans to strengthen the military. In a world in which a shithole like North Korea can threaten the entire United States the President is empowered to protect the nation.

    4) It was Hawaii’s mistake, not President Trump’s nor the national government. That Hawaii is entire Obama Dimocrat run is another plus for President Trump.

This all helps President Trump and his Make America Great Again/America First policy goals.

  49. Admin,

As a tree hugging squirrel lover, I would take exception to your example. However, I have always chosen the cat as my companion animal with great admiration for their abilities.

  50. The ninth circus used the campaign statements made by President Trump about the security threat posed by immigration from failed state countries to find religious or country of origin bias, and use that evidence to invalidate the constitutional authority he has to protect the nation.

This is an abuse of judicial authority. It is one thing to examine to legislative history of an act to determine who it should be enforced. That is the product of the legislative process. But campaign statements are a different story. The standard for those statements should be decided by what Justice Holmes called the marketplace of ideas, which in the election process, and once decided, they should not be revisited to invalidate otherwise constitutional actions to protect the people.

How ironic that the same court that refuses to recognize a cause of action against a candidate who defames another in the campaign process, would suddenly focus on campaign statements to find evidence of bias in the enforcement of policies. This is not merely judicial activism. It is bitter partisan bias, and it is no surprise that the judges who are exceeding their authority on this issue are Obama supporters. In that case, are they really any better than Peter Stroke?

  51. Judge Hanen in Brownsville was the first judge to question the bona fides of the Obama justice department in the area of immigration. He could see for himself that the justice department attorneys were lying to him and he held them accountable. His actions are the gold standard for how a judge should react in a situation like this. To trust the representations of the Obama justice department and the politically weaponized agencies they represent is turning out to be a fools errand for any judge as more information is brought forth showing this to be the case. The exceptions would be the Judge in Hawaii, and Oreck in San Francisco, who are too partisan to see the forest for the trees.

    This perspective most welcome.
Neither of Fox’s comics touched the subject last night. IDK when they’re recorded.
Gutfeld was particularly humorous IMO: His comment: Earlier in year Trump made it OK to say Merry Christmas. Now it’s OK to say shithole too.

And FWIW Judge Jeanine was live, covered Hawaii.
Opening statement on Trump transparency. Better than usual.

JB: President Trump has issued policies to halt immigration from countries where terrorism is prevalent , those policies are clearly within his constitutional authority, and the purpose is to give the government additional time to develop more stringent screening and yet the 9th circus has struck down those policies based on statements he made during the campaign which they deem prejudicial to those groups.

I think this is a terrible abuse of judicial power.

    Do you concur?

  54. Let me narrow the question further: if the president a) has the constitutional authority to act, ii) he has a rational basis for doing so, and iii) a failure to act can lead to the death of American citizens as we saw with 9/11, then a responsible judge will not delve into campaign statements to try to find some discriminatory intent behind actions. The intent of the judges who strike down these actions is not to enforce the law, but to substitute their judgment for the will of the people. It is not their role to act as a bevy of Platonic guardians, or to substitute their judgement for the will of the people. Agreed?

  55. This is part of the reason why the 9th circuit gets reversed on appeal 70% of the time. It is why they have the worst track record of any circuit court in the country. They dabble in politics too much and too often, and, plus factual and evidentiary errors explain this anomaly. And the situation is only made worse by the fact that the former chief judge who was a paradigm of wisdom has left the court for unrelated reasons. When I was involved in Republican politics, there were proposals to divide the circuit, We hear them again. But I doubt they will go anywhere, even though they should.

  56. Trey Gowdy Frees Up Time To Focus On The Storm To Come

Trey Gowdy, Congressman from South Carolina, resigned from the House Ethics Committee on Saturday, and everyone in the fake news media typically missed the real story here. Gowdy, who sits on four committees and chairs House Oversight and Government Reform, cited a “heavy workload” his announcement, and who can blame him? But that’s not the real story here – or at least not the full one.

Think about which other committees Gowdy sits on addition to the two mentioned above: Judiciary and Intelligence. These are two of the six congressional committees that have spent the last year investigating the Democrat/media Russia Collusion fantasy. Those investigations started with a focus on allegations that the Trump campaign and transition team “colluded” with some unidentified “Russians” to influence the 2016 election outcome, but in the process of doing that, realized that the only collusion with the Russians going on during that campaign was perpetrated by the Clinton Campaign and the DNC.

To understand what Gowdy is doing here in freeing up some of his time, first think about what happened at the end of last week. That Friday, thanks to the tireless efforts of Chairman Devin Nunes, the members of the House Intelligence Committee gained access to all the FBI/DOJ documents related to the fake Trump Dossier. As I mentioned on Wednesday, none of the information in those documents have leaked to CNN or anyone else in the fake news media, which means there is no good news in them for the Democrats.

Now, think ahead to what is supposed to happen at some point this week: The long-anticipated special report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz should be finally released. Horowitz has now spent a full year investigating the actions of FBI and DOJ officials related to Uranium One, the Clinton email scandal, the fake Trump Dossier, and Russia collusion allegations.

Also consider that just this past week, DOJ issued its first indictment related to Uranium One, an indictment that was of course ignored by the fake news media as it focused on presidential cursing. Because that’s what the fake news media is there to do.

The IG has given the House Intel Committee a preview by releasing some of its documentation in recent weeks. Also keep in mind the facts that, over the last three weeks, Attorney General Sessions announced the re-opening of DOJ investigations into Uranium One and the Clinton Crime Family Fake Foundation, and Nunes secured agreements from DOJ to force members of the Deep State Cabal to testify before that committee. Those witnesses are scheduled to start appearing before the committee as soon as this week.

What all this means is there’s a storm coming to Washington, DC. So if you think Rep. Gowdy resigned his seat on House Ethics just because he wants to spend more time with his family, think again. The real story – which we never seem to get from the fake news media – is most likely that he wanted to free up more of his time so he can spend it where the action is about to be.

Just another day in The Storm is Coming to Washington America.

(… and I hope Mr.Gowdy is wearing his bulletproof vest when walking from the courthouse to his car and vice-versa ! ) Take no chances because of your presence, heads are about to roll..

    That is all.

  57. DACA Amnesty Restarts Under Judge’s Order, But Appeal Expected

The Department of Homeland Security says it will follow a judge’s order to restart the President Barack Obama’s ‘DACA’ amnesty and will renew work-permits given to 15,000 illegal immigrants.
The statement was released late Saturday night, but the statement did not say if the 15,000 ‘DACA’ illegals whose work permits have expired since September will actually get renewed permits before the administration’s lawyers can get through the legal process needed before the Supreme Court can countermand the judge’s order.

To block the judge’s order, the administration first must file an appeal with the California-based Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The appeals court is expected to support the judge and reject the administration’s appeal. Once the appeal is denied, White House lawyers can ask the nine-member Supreme Court to countermand the orders from the appeals court and the subordinate judge.

  58. Beware of Greeks bearing gifts, big businesses promising jobs if the state bends over and grabs its ankles, and Jeff Bezos a man I know well, but never actually met. Bezos real name is Johannson which is Norwegian, and that alone should be enough to infuriate the left. Bezos was the name of his step father who was Cuban. His grandfather was a king pin in the the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for the southwestern US when the atom bomb was treated as a tourist attraction, and every member of the cast of The Conqueror starring John Wayne and Susan Hayward died of cancer. (Why doesn’t that low life Matt Tabbi write something worthwhile . . . like that? Apart from Bezos little bait and switch , there are other examples.

New York gave $258 million subsidy to Yahoo and got 125 jobs–costing taxpayers $2 million per job

Oregon awarded $2 billion to Nike and got a (whopping) 500 jobs–costing taxpayers $4 million per job.

North Carolina shelled out $320 million to Apple and got 50 jobs–costing taxpayers $6.4 million per job.

Louisiana handed $235 million to Valero Energy and got 15 jobs–costing taxpayers $15.6 million per job.

And when he started his business, Bezos invented and exploited the “Amazon loophole” to avoid collecting local and state sales taxes.

This is the sweetheart deal Trump is attacking, which is part of the reason why the hate Trump obsession of WashPo (the Amazon Post) is supported from the top.

  59. And by the way the Amazon loophole give Bezos a tremendous competitive advantage over brick and mortar competitiors who are dropping like flies, thus losing far more jobs in those locals than Bezos and is ilk add to the economy, therefore, you need to add the cost of the jobs he destroys to the taxpayer subsidies he adds to arrive at the true cost of Bezos unfair trade practices, which are also monopolistic.

  60. JB: Justice Jackson once said the Supreme Court is not final because it is infallible, but infallible because it is final. Thank God the same cannot be said for the kangaroo court that sits in San Francisco.

On a different note, I ran across an incredible movie which describes quite poignantly the struggle and sacrifices of the white people who settled the west, and gave their lives for a dream. It is based on a real life narrative that tells it the way it was. Apart from the Pat Boone song in the beginning, it is a masterpiece, and Earl Bellamy was the director. This is a story that the left wants to snuff out, and present those early settlers as exploiters, etc. That is reason enough to post the link, for anyone who is interested. There was a group of Norwegian American writers like O E Rolvaag, but none so well as this movie. The other thing this does is refute the foolish statements of those like Lindsey Graham who claim that this country is not defined by its history, its laws and its population, but by an abstraction—America is not a nation at all, they say, it is merely an idea/

    A marvelous find, Mrs. Smith.

Nearly 10 years ago, you and I wrote a revealing article about Soros long before he became a house hold name. Now as then, you have a remarkable ability to find things that no one else can.

This particular article tells it how it is. I expect that this has Ryan’s nod. At least that is what I assume, but with Ryan you never know for sure. But the point is, we are headed to war with the left and the House is hauling in its best Howitizer, to snap the neck off the dims who try to abstruct and the deep staters who seek to lie obfuscate and obstruct. D-Day is approaching.

  62. Lindsey has completely lost his mind, a sitting Senator, I think it’s treasonous what he said and it blows my mind he is actually a senator and is able to get re-elected.

Bezos also gets a tremendous advantage by having the USPS working for him
    That too.

However my company was the one who invented that deal.

Our problem was we did not have the infrastructure, volume or economies of scale to service domestic zip codes, therefore we entered into an agreement–the first of its kind to have USPS make the final delivery of those shipments.

Bezos stole that deal from us.

Bezos also took over our airline and sort center in Wilmington Ohio.

The company who purchased us and lost $10 billion dollars in the next eight years, let those operations go. And Bezos picked them up.

The truth about Bezos is he wants to establish a choke hold over the economy and is moving horizontally and vertically to ensure that happens.

The difference between him and the robber barons of yore is he has technology on his side.

And he learned from the earlier generation of robber barons that mega companies like his must have friends in congress to do their bidding.

JP Morgan never hand them, and he was evicerated before congress.

  64. I thought I was done losing friends on FB because of my views lol. Now one of my grown children’s friends decided I had no empathy and was just an all around rotten person for supporting Trump ..

Haiti you know and shit holes and all of that

  65. My grown child by the way supports Trump. At least this one does.
And apparently I am not a good deeed doer either…
Didn’t know I was in competition with Mother Theresa

  66. This may be somewhat off topic, but about a kitten I recently adopted, who is a total beast with some health issues. Not only are all squirrels in danger from her, but every small thing living that flies or crawls into my house. One evening a huge dragonfly buzzed in and did not last 10 seconds as she jumped up on a chair, leaped up from there and knocked the insect to the ground with her paw. It crashed into the wall and fell to the ground and I do not know if it was dead, but I picked it up and threw it outside before she ate it. And she is not full grown yet.

But our pets teach us and this one has food sensitivity problems that I eventually identified as coming from Xanthum gum, a very common food additive. It caused IBSD and behavioral problems that made her unadoptable (to most, except this sucker). Most disturbing, as I researched this additive that is widely used and marketed to vegan-gluten free crowd. Not only is it a manufactured as a bacterial waste (poop) product, there was an incident were it was added to baby formula and injured the digestive systems of 16 infants, one of whom died. There are lots of reports of human intolerance, but they did some dog food testing and have now been adding it to pet foods. I think it will really be the cats that will suffer the most from this, as obligate carnivores. But who cares if it kills a few cats, huh? Replacement is cheap and the Corporation gets their food testing done. So as a word of warning – read your labels and be aware that you may be used as a subject for food testing, without your consent besides buying and using the product.

And to the point, that damages to people and pets from this product, will go before judges with special interests in these corporations, who now have summary judgment powers granted to them under the pretext of preventing “lawsuit abuse”. The corruption of our judiciary goes beyond destroying our civil rights and threatens our very lives. These corrupt despots would challenge the powers of our POTUS. I do not think that splitting up the 9th Circus will fix this. The corruption is pervasive. The core issues are judicial misconduct with special interests and abuse of power. This is something that the judicial branch is supposed to manage internally. That is obviously not happening.

  67. The corruption of our judiciary goes beyond destroying our civil rights and threatens our very lives. These corrupt despots would challenge the powers of our POTUS. I do not think that splitting up the 9th Circus will fix this.
What would be most helpful here would be to have a more diverse judiciary where Harvard graduates do not predominate in that population, as they do today. The problem with a Harvard degree is the elitist view of the world and their place at the top of it which that degree instills. That is an unsavory view which is at cross purposes to democracy, where the people and their duly elected representatives call the shots. The Harvard grads fancy themselves to be that Bevy of Platonic Guardians that Judge Learned Hand, himself a Harvard graduate, warned us about. It is no coincidence that the Federal Judges who have opposed the travel ban were not merely Obama appointees, but Harvard graduates. That includes Oreck in San Franciso, the little Hawaiian Judge, and the judge who ordered continuation of the DACA program. Each of them is keen to substitute his judgement for the will of the American People, contrary to the Constitution.

  68. The minute a judge allows his personal biases to influence the decisions he makes he is no good. That, I believe, is what we are dealing with today with the Ninth Circuit. Holmes advocated washing your fondest beliefs in an acid bath of cynicism. Unfortunately, that is too much to ask for most people because human nature does not operate that way. On the other hand, it is not asking too much to expect that a Judge, even one trained at Harvard, to keep his oath and follow the law, rather than his own political whims and biases, and that follow the constitution and the law. When Ginzberg made statements highly critical of Trump, and compromised her ability as a judge to be impartial. Based on that showing of bias, she should recuse herself from all cases coming before the Supreme Court which involve President Trump.

The corrupt bunch I ran into were the Oil & Gas Judges of the 5th Circuit. Little to nothing to do with Harvard. The worst was a Bush appointed creep. Not only did he have a producing oil well, he did not report it on his Financial Disclosure Report. I filed one Judicial Misconduct Complaint about the first judge who had a producing oil well and a son who handled cases for the apposing party. Then, when the case was over, I filed a summary complaint, including all the conflicts of interest of all the judges that ruled on my case and the appeals. Not one decision was impartial. They subsequently banned me from filing Judicial Misconduct Complaints.

    Thanks for sharing on Mattis

I wish that after Trump, we would have Mattis, but I’m afraid because of his age, or just it may not be in his wheelhouse

He is so well spoken and such a leader, he really inspires, and I believe he is a true America, but there are many who believe him a Globalist. I am hoping that is wrong.

  71. Probably came from a sh@t hole country!
From a second link which overlaps::
“…Police chased the bus overnight after passengers called 911. The bus came to a stop after its tires were deflated in Lake County, Illinois at I-94 and Route 173.
Vargas-Rosas was taken into custody. He works at a restaurant in Milwaukee and was returning to Chicago, Schmaling said, when he apparently got into an argument with other passengers. The suspect is an illegal immigrant who had been deported to Mexico in 2012, the sheriff said.
The Sheriff’s Office is recommending Vargas-Rosas be charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, and disorderly conduct
The suspect was saying “he was gonna kill us, that he was going to put a bullet in our head,” passenger Patrick Todd told CBS 2 in Chicago after the nearly 40 passengers arrived at Union Station on another vehicle….”

I just think a lot more should be made of this incident…to the point that I’ve suggested Tulsi add it to her Hawaii to do list. Like that’s going to happen.
I’ve yet to learn how long the chase was, but certainly was as horrific as the false alarm
    for the 40 on board.

  72. Mattis’s attempt to hire Anne Patterson, Obama’s former ambassador to Egypt, as his undersecretary of policy

    That was disconcerting

My understanding is that losing candidates are allowed to keep their donations, although it sounds a lot like Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom trying to keep the over-investments for “Springtime for Hitler” in “The Producers.”

While it is obvious that McCabe had a conflict of interest and should at the very least have been forced to recuse himself from being in charge of the Hillary investigation, how would a prosecutor go about proving bribery in that case, if McCabe states that his wife’s campaign did not affect his ability to conduct an impartial investigation? What is the legal standard for bribery? Is the appearance of a payoff enough to get such a conviction or would they need to get hard evidence through some of his communications, for example?
