Two Trump Earthquakes To Come

The Vastness Of The Trump Revolution Is Immeasurable, is what we wrote a few days after the election of President Donald J. Trump. Every day we see the immeasurable vastness of that victory.

There are two big Trump earthquakes about to take place. These are not the biggest Trump earthquakes that will rattle the world and this country. Those mega-MAGA-Trumpquakes we will write about at a later day. Today we discuss the biggest Trump earthquakes that are about to shake America.

These two imminent Trump earthquakes we confess have taken us by surprise. Indeed, we mocked the possibility of them ever happening under Trump or anyone else. Yet, here we are. They are about to happen.

We mean tax reform. We are not talking about the “tax reform” everyone else is talking about. We mean the revolutionary aspects about to be unleashed by the Trump tax reform plan.

* * * * * *

As President Trump said in Missouri today, few if any presidents have accomplished as much as President Trump has in the ten months (only ten months????) since inauguration.

It’s not only the massive economic growth (3.3 percent in the third quarter despite the hurricanes), the confidence of consumers as we approach the biggest Christmas season in decades, and the cultural impact President Trump has already had on America. Now the big ones are about to hit. Hardest hit by the Trump earthquakes? California. Then New York. Then Illinois and New Jersey. Blue states all.

We have not thought any of this would happen. We did not think tax reform would happen. We thought (and still think) John McCain and other NeverTrump GOP establishment Republicans will do everything and anything to stop President Trump. Still, it might happen. But happen or not, the earthquake will now shake your windows and rattle your halls, at some point. It will happen because now we see that it can happen.

What are these Trump earthquakes? It’s SALT and the education wound.

EARTHQUAKE 1 SALT

While most everyone focuses on how the Trump tax plan will affect them personally we’re looking at the policy and the political implications of that policy. The leftists in the “blue states” started a civil war and now President Trump is bringing in the Grand Army of the Republic.

“SALT” in this instance stands for “state and local taxes”. Most Americans will not be affected adversely by the proposed elimination of state and local tax deduction write-offs on federal taxes because President Trump also proposes a doubling of the standard deduction. But some Americans will be hit hard by the elimination of SALT deductions on federal income taxes.

Who will be hurt by the elimination of SALT deductions in federal taxes? Those with high incomes in high tax states will be hurt because the standard deduction increases will not make up for the loss of SALT deductions in federal taxes. But who will really, really, really, really be hurt the most? Blue state Obama Dimocrat politicians:

Trump’s Tax Plan Could Be Painful for New York, New Jersey, and California

Wealthier residents of high-tax states would be especially hard hit if they can no longer deduct state and local taxes from their federal taxes.

Take a moment to fully grasp the revolutionary implications of what this means. It means that Obama Dimocrats that control these blue states will be put under pressure by their powerful residents to reduce state and local taxes. The very wealthy that have supported the Obama Dimocrats will be the hardest hit and the ones who will either have to move from the blue states or else demand that state and local taxes be lowered. It’s revolutionary:

“There is no doubt that if you are a New York or California resident, your largest deduction, by a factor that could be as high as 10, is the state and local income tax,” said tax expert Robert Willens, of New York-based Robert Willens LLC. “Historically a high-state tax was mitigated by the fact that you were able to deduct it, so it was really costing you 60 percent or 65 percent of what you were paying to the state.” [snip]

The deduction ends up being far more valuable in states with the highest tax burdens.

Nationwide, wealthier taxpayers benefit the most from the deduction. More than 88 percent of its benefits go to Americans who earn more than $100,000 a year, according to the Tax Foundation.

We never thought this could happen. Elimination of SALT deductions was tried before and always failed bigly:

Past efforts to end the deduction of state and local taxes, back in the Reagan years, never took hold, because the hardest-hit states complained so bitterly about it, said Willens. In the recent presidential election, Trump won none of the 10 states where residents benefit the most from the state and local tax deduction. The highest-tax state the president did take is Wisconsin, where 32 percent of taxpayers claim the deduction, which represents 6 percent of their adjusted gross incomes. He won all 10 states that benefit the least from the deduction, with the exception of Nevada. Alaskans benefit the least of all: 22 percent of filers in Alaska claim the deduction, but it represents just 1.5 percent of their incomes, according to Internal Revenue Service data.

If the change goes through, there’s little that people can do except maybe decamp for Florida or Texas, where there is no state income tax. Not that tax collectors in high-tax states like New York make it easy to move.

Whether it happens now or not, it is clear that it will happen because President Trump has made it a very real possibility. We never thought President Trump could accomplish this.

The very wealthy that have provided financing for Obama Dimocrats will have to (a) lose money, or (b) demand that Obama Dimocrats they donate to cut state and local taxes, or (c) move to red states. Get a dog to eat a dog:

New York Could Lose Some Top Earners Under GOP Tax Bill, Goldman Says

New York City could lose some of its highest-income residents if the tax bill making its way through the U.S. Congress becomes law, according to estimates from Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Initial analysis suggests that the legislation “could eventually lower the number of top-income earners in New York City” by 2 percent to 4 percent, Goldman economists led by Jan Hatzius wrote in a note dated Nov. 24. The trigger would be a provision that restricts the ability of taxpayers to deduct the levies they pay to state and local authorities, which would disproportionately hit locations with relatively high rates. [snip]

We now expect a repeal of the federal deductibility of state and local income taxes as well as a $10,000 cap on the property-tax deduction,” Goldman economists wrote as the Senate prepares to vote for its version of the tax overhaul. “The increased tax gap between high- and low-tax areas may moderately increase moves to the latter.” [snip]

California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Maryland would see a drop in the value of income- and property-tax deductions of almost 15 percent of their total state and local taxes, Goldman says.

“These changes could create additional fiscal challenges for the high-tax areas, some of which already face structural pension funding issues,” the economists said.

The high tax Obama Dimocrat blue states have for years raised local and state taxes without facing protests from blue state citizens. That’s because the ability to deduct these high state and local taxes on federal income tax forms made the increases in local and state taxes relatively painless. After all, other Americans paid for the high taxes in high tax states, so it was all gain no pain. Now, because of President Trump reality must be faced. Now the high tax Obama Dimocrat blue state will get pain but no gain.

If citizens of high tax Obama Dimocrat blue states want tax relief they will have to confront and remove the tax and spend Obama Dimocrats. Or move to red states.

Throw in the ObamaCare individual mandate repeal which might be included in the final tax plan and the Obama Dimocrat run blue states will be hit even harder. And if the Graham/Cassidy ObamaCare repeal plan comes to pass blue states will have to either stop providing ObamaCare to everyone and anyone (including illegal immigrants either through phony documentation or other means) or cut benefits to American citizens — or have to pay for it from tax dollars extracted from the blue state citizens. But that is a discussion for another day.

BLUE ACADEMY BLUES

The second Trump earthquake to come will rock the cultural landscape as well as the political landscape. We’re talking colleges and universities in a snowflake meltdown:

House GOP to Propose Sweeping Changes to Higher Education
Revamp would put caps on student loans, foster new paths to work force

The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives this week will propose sweeping legislation that aims to change where Americans go to college, how they pay for it, what they study, and how their success—or failure—affects the institutions they attend.

That is all in the future when powerful academic institutions will have to behave responsibly and produce results for the students they currently extract money from. But not all the reforms are in the distant future. Some of the changes are shovel ready. The Academy is about to be buried in a Trump earthquake:

GOP tax plan rattles higher education

The proposal reflects a growing sense of colleges, universities as bastions of privilege.

Congressional Republicans’ plans to slap unprecedented new taxes on higher education have left college leaders shocked and scrambling — the latest salvo in what some observers say is a growing culture war on a higher education system seen as elitist and out of touch.

While most college leaders said they don’t believe they were targeted directly in tax reform legislation — and are rather collateral damage — they say the hit was startling, as higher education has long enjoyed bipartisan support. Higher education also is a powerful lobbying force on the Hill.

In interviews with POLITICO, college presidents contended the tax proposals (H.R. 1 (115)) would be a devastating blow that would make college — especially graduate school — more expensive, and further out of reach of low- and middle-income families. That argument, however, may not go far, as polling shows many Americans are increasingly wary of colleges and universities, and are generally supportive of tax cuts.

“Very few Americans care” about the plight of colleges and especially about the problems of graduate students, said Jason Delisle at the conservative American Enterprise Institute. “Very few of them are privileged enough to get a graduate degree from an elite institution. I think they’re like, ‘Complain all you want.’ It’s just not going to resonate with Main Street America.”

Indeed, recent data shows the nation’s most elite schools have long catered mostly to the wealthy, serving relatively few low- and middle-income Americans. Dozens of colleges enroll more students from the top 1 percent of earners than the bottom 60 percent, according to data from the Equality of Opportunity Project.

The powerful masters of colleges and universities will focus all their power to stop these responsible changes. The colleges and universities will try to make the argument that students will be hurt by the tax changes although the rise of the standard deduction would offset any higher taxes individual students will pay. What the colleges and universities fear is the loss of their massive endowment funds:

A recent poll from Pew found 58 percent of Republicans view colleges negatively, while 72 percent of Democrats view them positively.

The tax bills, experts say, may well be part of that sentiment. Both the House and Senate levy new taxes on the largest private college endowments. The House would end deductions for student loan interest and tax tuition waivers for graduate students.

“I think it’s part of a culture war … no question,” said Philip Altbach, a research professor and founding director of the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College. [snip]

College leaders fear the tax plan is the latest sign they are losing the battle over public perception. The proposal comes after years of rising tuition prices have led many Americans to believe college is too expensive. It also follows a year of intense scrutiny over cultural issues on campuses, including conflicts over free speech that have crystallized the view among some Republicans that colleges are pushing a liberal agenda.

“We’re being challenged on all of these fronts, and we see that reflected for example in the tax legislation,” Rice University President David Leebron said. [snip]

But perhaps the most in-your-face item aimed at higher education — especially elite colleges and universities — is a plan in both the House and Senate versions that would tax private university endowment earnings. The tax would only apply to private universities with at least 500 students and endowment assets of at least $250,000 per student — between 60 and 70 schools.

Harvard University alone has an endowment of well over 34 billion dollars, Princeton over 22 billion dollars, Stanford 22 billion dollars, Yale has over 25 billion dollars. Poor darlings want everyone to pay taxes, now they can join in the fun.

To think it took a billionaire to get these lowlifes to pay taxes.

The Trump earthquakes will soon start to shake rattle and roll.

Thanksgiving For Trump – President Donald J. Trump

Yeah, we’re kinda pissed off with President Trump.

Today President Trump continued the charade tradition of past presidents and he “pardoned” two turkeys. It’s a tired charade and frankly unworthy of a president.

We wanted President Trump to come out and declare “I am not pardoning these two turkeys by the name of Wishbone and Drumstick. Instead I order them to be served as dinner on Thanksgiving Day. I just can’t wait to sink my jaws on Drumstick and make a wish for tax reform legislation to pass using Wishbone’s very bones to help make my wish come true.”

President Trump disappointed us and did a humdrum pardon of the two fat birds. Our consolation prize is that President Donald J. Trump managed to get a dig in against the biggest and ugliest turkey ever to occupy the White House:

Both Drumstick and his friend Wishbone will live out their years at Virginia Tech’s “Gobbler’s Rest” enclosure, where last year’s pardoned turkeys — Tater and Tot — currently reside after then-President Barack Obama kept them off the carving board.

Trump noted that he’s been “very active in overturning” executive actions taken by his predecessor — but not this time.

“I have been informed by the White House counsel’s office that Tater and Tot’s pardons cannot, under any circumstances, be revoked,” Trump joked. “So, Tater and Tot, you can rest easy.”

Hey, you can’t always get what you want, but we got what we needed. What we needed was a reminder, not much of a reminder because we do remember every single day, to give thanks, for the election of Donald J. Trump.

It was a glorious day when President Trump was elected. It’s a glorious day every day when we wake up and realize we have an American President who cares about America, puts America and us first, and does not plot every day to destroy America as you-know-who did.

Yes, there is a lot to be thankful for this first year of the great Trump election. We wrote a big article on the Judge Roy Moore race for publication today but instead we will postpone that one in order that we may all give thanks for the little and big things that happened to us since the last Thanksgiving Day when we praised the Lord we had survived the horrors of the Barack Obama years.

Since Thanksgiving Day 2016 we have witnessed the fall of huge chunks of the vile leftists who hid behind their claims of creative class rights to assault women. But that is best left to our article on Judge Roy Moore. Suffice for now to quote Matt Drudge’s headline “Charlie Rose, Charlie Fell”. Chortle, giggle, giggle.

Okay, we can’t exactly wait until our Judge Roy Moore article to ask a question about Barack Obama and Nancy Pelousy and all the Democrats who ran congress for many years: Where were they and why did they allow the attackers of women like John Conyers to pay settlements with taxpayer dollars to women they assaulted/harassed? Let’s have investigations, special prosecutors, to ask why Nancy Pelousy, Harry Reid, and Obama Dimocrats did nothing to stop the sexual assaults when they were in charge. Oh Happy Day to ask such and many more questions on this year’s Thanksgiving!

There is so much to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving. Thank you to the Almighty who raised up this imperfect vessel called Donald J. Trump to be our Gideon. Thank you Hollywood leftists for all the entertainments of scandals and depravities which we will all soon know about as you expose yourselves to be the loathsome reptiles you are to all the world.

To those that elected President Trump, we drink to you, the Salt of the Earth:

Say a prayer for the common foot soldier
Spare a thought for his back breaking work
Say a prayer for his wife and his children
Who burn the fires and who still till the earth

Happy Thanksgiving and may God Bless America!

Returns: President Trump From Asia; AG Jeff Sessions From The Big Sleep?!?!

Did President Trump kiss Jeff Sessions??? We ask because we feel like we are in a Disney movie with a Prince that kisses someone long thought dead or comatose and a miracle awakening occurs.

JEFF SESSIONS AWAKE???

As the good old lady says, “That evil die and good endure.” And just like that Jeff Sessions wakes up. After months in a coma, without a discernible pulse, Jeff Sessions might be awake. Those of us who liked Jeff Sessions before he devoured the poison apple of recusal might have a happy forever after ending after all:

Sessions says probe into Russian uranium deal possible

Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Monday he’s considering appointing a special counsel to look at whether the FBI properly handled the investigation into Russia’s purchase of uranium rights and donations to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton led the State Department.

In a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte, Virginia Republican, Mr. Sessions said he wouldn’t confirm or deny whether there was an investigation but that he has asked senior prosecutors to evaluate “certain issues” raised by Mr. Goodlatte.

He said that review will help him and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein decide “whether any matters merit the appointment of a special counsel.”

Mr. Sessions also said the Justice Department’s inspector general is looking into whether then-FBI Director James B. Comey botched procedures in his handling of the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s secret emails.

The letter came a day before Mr. Sessions is to testify to the House committee.

The sleeping princess might be closer to granting our long ago, very early this year, wish for special prosecutors and appointment of a special prosecutor than previously thought:

However, just before the letter leaked to media outlets, Circa reported that the Department is already investigating the Uranium One deal and allegations involving the Clinton Foundation, as well as the improper unmaskings of Americans.

The revelations come just a day ahead of Sessions’ appearance in front of the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

Committee member Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) told Circa he was not surprised to hear that the Justice Department was investigating the Uranium One deal, whereby the Obama administration allowed a Canadian company to sell a fifth of the U.S.’s uranium assets to Russia in 2010.

During review of the sale, Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a speech in Moscow from a Russian bank that was promoting the deal, and the Clinton Foundation received millions of dollars from investors in the Canadian company, Uranium One, that sold the U.S. assets to the Russian firm.

At the same time, the FBI was investigating a Russian nuclear energy bribery and kickback scheme in the U.S., but barred an FBI witness from speaking to lawmakers about what he knew.

“This country has seen the most powerful and intrusive parts of the mammoth federal government misused and abused as a virtual, political racketeer influenced and corrupt organization,” Gohmert told Circa. “If the current Department of Justice does not investigate the abuses, then self-government as it was once known is gone. We’re finally getting glimpses of the investigations they’ve been doing.”

According to Circa, the Justice Department is also looking into the issue of improper “unmaskings” — or whether Obama officials with access to intelligence requested to reveal the identities of Americans swept up in surveillance.

At the beginning of November there were rumors and reports that AG Jeff Sessions might be involved in the investigations of Uranium One. This week, just before Attorney General Jeff Sessions is scheduled to testify before congress, the investigations which indeed have been going on for a while, have been revealed. Sean Hannity and Sara Carter have even more explosive information (starting at 35 minutes into the video).

Sara Carter knows who the secret informer on Uranium One is. Sara Carter has some knowledge, not all, of what it is that the secret informer will testify to. Sara Carter believes the information from the secret informer will be of such significance the entire trajectory of the “Russia” story will shift against those involved in the Uranium One and related scandals.

PRESIDENT TRUMP BACK IN TRIUMPH

A reawakened Jeff Sessions will break into an impish smile as President Trump returns from Asia covered in laurel wreaths of triumph and defense of America:

President Trump pledged to foreign leaders that he will “always put America first” in all future trade negotiations, telling a global summit in Asia that previous President’s refused to address the US trade imbalance, but he will.

The President delivered his address to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Danang, Vietnam on Friday, vowing to strike trade deals with other nations that are “mutually beneficial” to both nations.

“I expressed our strong desire to work with China to achieve a trading relationship that is conducted on a truly fair and equal basis. The current trade imbalance is not acceptable. I do not blame China or any other country -of which there are many- for taking advantage of the United States on trade,” said Trump.

“I wish previous administrations in my country saw what was happening and did something about it. They did not, but I will,” he added. “From this day forward we will compete on a fair and equal basis. We are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore.”

“I am always going to put America first the same way I expect all of you in this room to put your countries first,” said the President. “That is the message I am here to deliver.”

President Trump’s defense of America on trade was spectacular. But nothing compares to his speech before the South Korean National Assembly. President Trump’s defense of freedom and American commitment to freedom and liberty in his address to the National Assembly, at the one year anniversary of his election victory, is at a par with his stunning speech to Europe while in Poland several months earlier.

Whether in the West or in the East, President Trump proves he is a leader of Western values and the traditions of the West. In South Korea President Trump demonstrated American resolve for Western values of democracy and freedom:

Big Media has mostly ignored President Trump’s very successful and long trip to Asia. Big Media understands that if President Trump in Asia was witnessed by the American people the apparent truth of President Trump as a strong leader of the West and America in particular could no longer be denied.

Big Media understands that if President Trump’s reception at the airport in China, orchestra and troops included, were to be compared with Barack Obama’s humiliation wherein China did not even bother to provide a gantry ladder for Obama to disembark from the plane, the clumsy Obama would suffer being revealed as the boob he was and is.

President Donald J. Trump is a respected and strong world leader because he is the President of the most powerful country on earth and because he is indeed a strong leader, not a simpering oaf like Barack Obama.

In the West, in the East, in the Middle East, President Trump is admired and respected. In the West, in the East, in the Middle East, Barack Obama was and is a boob:

You can’t lead if you are a boob.

President Trump returns this week to the United States and will no doubt immediately get to work on domestic issues such as tax cuts. President Trump returns home after a long trip punctuated with many successes and a strong projection of American power. While in Asia President Trump focused on North Korea and the coming attack against that threat to world peace as three American aircraft carrier groups prowled near North Korea’s dictatorship.

President Donald J. Trump knows how to lead.

Scream It Out: @RealDonaldTrump Election Day Anniversary Spectacular

Say it! President TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One year ago, starting today and into the morning hours the next day.

Today and tomorrow is our President Trump anniversary spectacular. Gloat. Enjoy. Celebrate. Today we also peer a bit into our crystal ball to look at what will happen.

If you want to experience election day and night one year ago though, just go to the best coverage, ours. Feel the downs and the ups, the fears and the glory. It’s all there. You can experience how the election went in one spectacular comment section from election night 2016. Then visit and relive the day he became President Elect Donald J. Trump in full awesomeness in an article we modestly titled “President Elect TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On November 11, 2016 we traveled from being the premier Hillary Clinton website to an endorsement of Donald J. Trump for President.

On November 4, 2016 we predicted that Donald J. Trump would win the election. We provided a map of a state by state analysis. We declared on that Friday before the Tuesday elections three states “too close to call”. Those states? Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, all of which Donald J. Trump won.

Relive election night 2016. Alcina lighting votive candles; Appollos5600 taking on the Big Media distortion of the numbers; GonzoTx lighting up candles too; JtJames chewing fingernails; Lorac wishing she liked drugs/liquor; Outris keeping up with the vote numbers; NoMoBama calling George W. Bush a jerk; Tony Stark calling the wins and losses of electoral votes; S following the number and calling out the discrepancies; everyone worrying about Florida at the beginning of the night; Admin at 8:01 noting the panhandle votes still not in; S at 8:02 totaling up the wins/losses; Lu4PUMA at 8:06 cheering on the panhandle as Hillary still had the Florida lead; S cheering up GonzoTx at 8:07 with the vote totals with Hillary ahead “gonzo closing 48.9 to 48.2”; Admin at 8:12 “Light those damn candles!!!!”; Admin at 8:15 “EVEN!!!! 48.5% At worst, recount. LIGHT THOSE DAMN CANDLES!!!!!”; S at 8:15 noting Trump ahead in Florida by 1,000 votes; Alcina at 8:16 with candle power “admin, i’m gonna burn this house down!”; Valleyboy cheering at the race stretch in Florida; Outris at 8:28 with the NYTimes giving Trump the Florida win; McNorman at 8:41 getting sick; NJLurker2 trying to keep calm; at 9:04 JtJames “dying”; Lorac at 9:05 bringing the news that Chris Wallace said Trump might be president; Admin at 9:14 “it’s beginning to smell like Brexit”; by 9:15 Florida and Ohio almost sure Trump and the tears of fears become tears of joy; by 9:30 even the New York Times forecast changed from a Hillary 93% chance of winning to a Trump victory!!!

It was over for Trump. He was now President Elect Trump.

Hillary Clinton got what she wanted. Hillary wanted to run against Donald J. Trump, as Politico reported. But as we wrote starting in 2013, the 2016 election was a change election and Hillary ran as the Obama third term status quo loser. President Elect Trump!

Big Media waited until the early morning hours to declare the obvious. But, history waited the declaration and it came as an avenging angel on judgement day.

Big Media lied, Big Media cried, Big Media died.

Watch the losers as they are sure they will win. Then watch as reality breaks through and busts their bubble. Losers:

THE FUTURE REMAINS THE SAME:

It was a revolution. The people won. As in all revolutions there are still those from the previous regime planning a counterrevolution. But the revolution has taken hold:

For many in Trump’s America, a year to crow about

Williamstown (United States) (AFP) – With unemployment declining, the local truck plant expanding and optimism on the rise, one industrial heartland region has become a microcosm of the reinvigorated America promised by Donald Trump.

Seen from Williamstown, 300 miles (500 kilometers) west of Washington, the political tumult since Trump’s November 8, 2016 victory appears artificial to those who welcome his leadership as a break from business as usual.

The sleepy West Virginia town is in Wood County where 70 percent of voters celebrated the anti-establishment victory. A year later, they are pledging their loyalty to the Trump revolution, praising the billionaire businessman-turned-national-leader for already delivering on his declaration to reverse their declining fortunes. [snip]

National indicators of consumer and business confidence corroborate the sentiment. [snip]

Runnion, the truck driver, says he is already committed: In 2020, he’ll vote Trump.

Trump voters remain Trump voters. As long as that does not change, Trump trumps.

But what about the polls???? The polls are terrible for President Trump just as they were for candidate Trump. President Trump can’t win say the polls. But the ABC News poll chief Gary Langer says something different:

Democratic advantage for ’18 might not be what it seems (POLL) [snip]

For one thing, despite President Donald Trump’s historic unpopularity, almost as many Americans say they’ll vote in 2018 to show support for Trump as to show opposition to him, 22 versus 26 percent, with half saying he won’t be a factor. Indeed 57 percent of Republicans say they’ll vote to show support for Trump, while fewer Democrats, 46 percent, intend to send a message against him.

Further, among the results of this poll, produced for ABC News by Langer Research Associates:
Just 27 percent of Americans express confidence in the Democrats in Congress “to make the right decisions for the country’s future,” matching the low set when the question last was asked January 2014, and a wide 16 points below its peak in 2009. The Democrats’ confidence rating is almost as poor as the Republicans’ in Congress (21 percent trust) and worse than Trump’s (34 percent).

The main change for congressional Democrats from their peak in 2009, moreover, is diminished trust in some of their key support groups — under 30s (down 27 points in trust), Democrats themselves (down 26 points) and liberals (down 21 points).

The Democratic Party leads the GOP among all Americans as being “more concerned with the needs of people like you” (49-36 percent) and as “better representing your own personal values” (46-37 percent). But the Democrats had advantages that big on these same questions in October 2014, and still got hammered a few weeks later.

Indeed today, the Democratic lead on concern with “the needs of people like you” shrinks from 13 points among all adults to a mere 3 points among those most likely to vote in 2018. And the 9-point Democratic advantage on personal values among all Americans goes to a non-significant 3-point Republican advantage among the likeliest 2018 voters.

Similarly, the Democrats enjoy an 11-point advantage among all adults in the sense that the country would be better off if they took control of Congress in a year’s time, 37-26 percent. Among the likeliest voters, though, this shrinks to essentially nothing, 2 points.

It’s the same mistake most dummkopf analysts made about 2016. National polls which include the massive Obama Dimocrat populations of California, New York, Illinois, distort what will happen in elections in favor of Obama Dimocrats. The red states and the blue states (which Hillary Clinton won such as Virginia) will vote the usual red/blue ways. It is the swing states that make congress and presidents. As we’ve written before, citing Democrat pollsters, the polls read correctly portend Republican victories in 2018 and 2020.

* * * * * *

As we celebrate, President Donald J. Trump is in Asia to lead the world. On Tuesday night, President Donald J. Trump addressed the National Assembly of South Korea. The reactions from even the leftists in South Korea demonstrate the war by Big Media against President Donald J. Trump is failing even in Asia as the Big Media fake news is destroyed by reality:

“Far from the ‘madman’ the media portrays, Trump came across as perfectly normal, smart, and well-mannered,” read one of the more than 1,200 posts on Naver.com.

Another wrote: “Wow, best speech ever. I feel so safe to have such a great U.S. president who is so determined to resolve North Korean issues.”

Yup. “I feel so safe to have such a great U.S. president….”

Donna Brazille And Hillary Clinton In Virginia Election

Update II: Winners and losers tonight? Big winner is Steve Bannon. Bannon has more evidence that the establishment way is the losers way. As President Trump, who gave a terrific speech in South Korea but took a few seconds immediately after to send a Tweet on the race put it, “Ed Gillespie worked hard but did not embrace me or what I stand for.” To win the GOP establishment must embrace President Trump. GOP candidates who try to be coy and two-faced with the public about whether or not they support President Trump – will lose.

Big losers are all those who hope to “reform” the Obama Dimocrat Party into a party they control. Bernie Sanders and his bros, Donna Brazile, all those who want to get rid of the Dim establishment, they all lost. The Obama Dimocrat establishment has proof after the night’s election results that they can still win in states Hillary won. The Obama Dimocrat establishment can now say to the naysayers “we win when we run establishment candidates in states that Hillary won so stop whining about change. Hope for change in the Obama Dimocrat Party is dead. Dead.”

Obama Dimocrats can’t win any state that President Trump won. As long as the status quo remains and President Trump wins states he won in 2016 and Obama Dimocrats win states they won in 2016 the big winner remains the champ, President Donald J. Trump. With this status quo result Obama Dimocrats can continue to lose and live to scream and rage at the results of their failures. For Obama Dimocrats winning the same states as they won in 2016 is losing.

——————————————————-

Update: Prediction time. This is a close one. Will Ed Gillespie pull out the win in Virginia. Hells bells this is a tough one. Gillespie had momentum going into the race so that gives him some edge. But Northam, as noted below, has all the advantages. So, to whom do we award the victory tonight?

Gillespie. Gillespie wins Virginia. Why? Yeah, he’s a closer and he began to run a Trumpy campaign near the end of the race. But is this enough? Is this enough to carry him over the edge? No. This is not enough to carry him over the edge.

But perhaps divine intervention? Um, divine intervention, hummm? You want divine intervention. Here’s divine intervention: this might just do it. This might just be enough to stop Dims from voting and the highly energized pro-Trump voters might toss Gillespie a favor and come out for him. If so, Gillespie wins.

Donna Brazile is a pig, or a cow, or as Hillary Clinton allegedly refers to her, a brain dead buffalo. That’s not to say that Donna Brazile, the pig, the cow, the garbage scow is 100% wrong in her latest book which is solely designed to make money for the self-interested Hillary-hating Donna.

The only reason we write about the pig, the cow, the garbage scow, called Donna Brazile, is because we at this website have a history with her, and because Donna Brazile and Hillary Clinton will have a great impact in tomorrow’s election in Virginia. Also, we like to gloat and we have a lot to gloat about as many of our predictions from 2007 and afterwards come to pass.

DONNA BRAZILE IS A PIG

Donna Brazile is a long-time Hillary hater. Donna Brazile is also a long time self-interested pig who will do anything to promote her non-existent skills. We recall Donna Brazile when Brazile joined with Bush Republican Karl Rove to advance her interests over Democratic Party interests. We also recall when Donna Brazile attacked this website. Brazile at that time was employed as an “impartial” observer by CNN but Brazile was a pro-Obama hack who was only interested in attacking Hillary Clinton in 2007.

In the 2008 election cycle when we were the premier website in support of Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama, Donna Brazile demanded Hillary Clinton take down this website. During the 2008 election Brazile joined with Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelousy, and the Democratic Party establishment to gift the nomination to Barack Obama. Donna Brazile loved Barack Obama because of his skin color and because Barack Obama rewarded Brazile with positions and power beyond her feeble, rather non-existent abilities.

Donna Brazile helped rig the 2008 election for Barack Obama (recall Michigan and Florida). But as the horrible eight years of Obama ended, Brazile realized she needed to ingratiate herself with Hillary Clinton if the gravy train was to continue to bring money and position to Brazile. So in 2016 Brazile helped rig the election for Hillary Clinton by even providing Hillary Clinton with debate questions well before the debate occurred. For Bernie, zilch.

Now, with Hillary Clinton defeated and the Obama Dimocrat Party on a leftward lurch, Donna Brazile has written a book which describes the rigged 2016 Dimocrat primary election. Brazile in her book claims the 2016 primary election was rigged by the DNC in Hillary Clinton’s favor:

I had promised Bernie when I took the helm of the Democratic National Committee after the convention that I would get to the bottom of whether Hillary Clinton’s team had rigged the nomination process, as a cache of emails stolen by Russian hackers and posted online had suggested. I’d had my suspicions from the moment I walked in the door of the DNC a month or so earlier, based on the leaked emails. But who knew if some of them might have been forged? I needed to have solid proof, and so did Bernie. [snip]

By September 7, the day I called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart.

Ever the buffoon, Brazile gets furious when President Trump or anyone else says, as Brazile admits in her book, that the 2016 Dimocrat primary election was rigged for Hillary. Brazile describes how the Hillary Clinton campaign controlled the DNC well before the primary ended and controlled the DNC finances sufficiently for all to see the primary election was rigged, Elizabeth Warren says the primary election was rigged, Bernie Sanders’ supporters know the primary election was rigged, but Brazile then denounces the notion that the primary election in 2016 was rigged. Brazile will undergo any contortion necessary to make money and stay in the spotlight.

Donna Brazile also claims Hillary Clinton’s campaign treated her like a “slave”. Brazile writes she prepared to remove Hillary Clinton as the nominee and replace her with Joe Biden after Hillary’s collapse in the polls and at the World Trade Center site. Brazile also attacks airhead and corrupt Debbie Wasserman Schultz. But that is all frankly uninteresting. What is interesting is that Brazile is exposing the chasms in the failed Obama Dimocrat Party. What is fascinating is the impact Brazile, and Hillary Clinton, and the great President Donald J. Trump are having in tomorrow’s governor election in Virginia.

THE ELECTION IN VIRGINIA

Obama Dimocrats were supposed to win the Virginia governor’s election tomorrow. For the longest time the Obama Dimocrat was way ahead in the polls. Barack Obama campaigned in Virginia for Obama Dimocrat Northam. Obama Dimocrats earlier claimed the Virginia governor race was a herald for the sure win results in 2018:

Northam enjoys almost every structural advantage

Most polls have shown Northam ahead in the race, and there’s an easy explanation: He enjoys almost every structural advantage.

Trump: In addition to his 38 percent approval rating in The Washington Post’s poll, 57 percent of voters say their views of Trump are important in deciding their votes.

History: With just one exception (in 2013, when Terry McAuliffe defeated Ken Cuccinelli), the party that controls the White House has lost every gubernatorial election in Virginia going back to the 1970s.

The GOP’s poor performance in Virginia: Since 2005, Democrats are 9-1 in major statewide elections in Virginia (for president, Senate, governor), including Hillary Clinton’s 5-point victory in 2016.

Cash: Northam is outraising Gillespie, which is striking given Gillespie’s background as a former chairman of the Republican National Committee and lobbyist.

The advertising war: Northam is outspending Gillespie on the TV airwaves, while party spending has been about even.

“If Democrats lose, it will be a very big story, and there will be many assessments of what it means about the party’s prospects in the midterms next year,” Rozell said.

Republican Ed Gillespie was losing bigly in the polls. Then Gillespie began to campaign like Trump. Gillespie attacked gang crime by illegal immigrants. Gillespie began to focus on illegal immigration. Gillespie began to rise in the polls even as NeverTrump Republicans accused him of abandoning them and becoming more like winner Trump. As Gillespie became more Trump-like, the Obama Dimocrat Northam became more of a lying loser:

Ralph Northam’s campaign continues to drown in controversy as Virginia campaign finance reports revealed that the Northam campaign coordinated with the Latino Victory Fund to push a “sickening” ad that featured an Ed Gillespie supporter attempting to run down minority children.

Northam also recently flip-flopped in favor of banning sanctuary cities; the progressive Democracy for America denounced the Ralph Northam campaign for Northam’s about-face in favor of banning sanctuary cities.

Northam’s flip-flop is emblematic of Obama Dimocrat tactics. The tactic is to publicly flip-flop on positions to fool the voting public when those positions are an impediment to election victory. No principles.

VIRGINIA, BARACK OBAMA, AND 2018

The back and forth is not what hurts Northam in Virginia however. The problems for Obama Dimocrats are problems we have described for years. The problems for Obama Dimocrats is Barack Obama and Obama policies. Hillary Clinton became the Obama Third Term and that doomed her. Barack Obama is the kiss of death in Virginia too:

Clinton was guilty of “malpractice” in how she conducted her 2016 Presidential campaign, Greenberg told me. Even worse, he said, Democrats were repeating the same political mistakes a year later. “Look at Virginia right now,” Greenberg said, as soon as we sat down in his second-floor office. “We have a candidate”—Ralph Northam, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee—“running as Hillary Clinton. He is running on the same kind of issues, and has the same kind of view of the world. It’s the Republicans who talk about the economy, not the Democrats.” This was the approach that doomed Clinton against Trump. The electorate was angry in 2016 and remains angry now, Greenberg said, and Northam, a Norfolk doctor, didn’t get it. Neither did Clinton and the team of Obama veterans who staffed her Brooklyn headquarters. “If you live in the metro areas with the élites, you don’t wake up angry about what’s happening in people’s lives,” Greenberg said.

His rant was notable for a variety of reasons, not least because Greenberg was the pollster who helped Bill Clinton win the White House in 1992, and he has been a participant in every Democratic nominee’s Presidential campaign since, including Hillary Clinton’s. His criticism illuminates an urgent question for the Democratic Party, not just in next week’s governor’s race in Virginia but in the midterm elections of 2018 and beyond. Could Trump, as deeply polarizing and unpopular as he is, even be reëlected?

Greenberg and other prominent Democrats still furious about last year’s Clinton campaign think it’s entirely possible, unless the Party figures out, and fast, a way to tackle the problem that sealed Clinton’s fate in 2016: how to appeal to the disaffected white working-class voters who provided Trump’s unlikely win a year ago.

“That debate,” Greenberg told me, “which would have been pushed off had she won, is immediate.”

As we wrote in 2008 and in other articles in our “situation comedy” series about the “Obama coalition”, and in our long running series “Mistake in ’08”, Barack Obama has doomed his party. When we began to write about Obama, the kiss of death, we were mocked. Now we are seen as prophets. Only now, do the Obama Dimocrats speak out on the Obama kiss of death and regurgitate what we saw and wrote about going back to 2007. Barack Obama, his henchmen and policies, are the kiss of death:

In the weeks after Greenberg published his critique, I spoke with several other veterans of the Bill Clinton years who shared his appraisal of Hillary’s campaign—and said that their advice had also been ignored. “They viewed people like me and Bill Clinton as yesteryear,” one, who ran his campaign in a key Midwestern state and played a public role in Hillary Clinton’s campaign there as well, said. “They thought the world has changed, politics has changed. But their analytics were flawed. They were treating this like a third term for Obama, and it was a big mistake.” The internal critics, they told me, had also included the former President, but he was, as Greenberg put it when we talked, “frozen out.”

This was, I realized, one of the hidden stories of the 2016 election. [snip] But, even if the fight is in part an exercise in after-the-fact finger-pointing, the campaign’s internal struggles over how to talk to the Trump base in the formerly Democratic states of Middle America are just as relevant, polarizing, and unresolved today as they were a year ago. Should Democrats bet their future on attacking Trump and pledge, as the California billionaire donor Tom Steyer now wants them to do, to pursue Trump’s impeachment, at all costs, if they win back the House next year? Should they give up on the white voters who went for Trump in 2016 even though many had been reliably Democratic in the past? Was Clinton’s defeated primary challenger, Bernie Sanders, right to try to pull the Party to the left?

Without a resolution to these questions, the next Democratic nominee may well end up caught in the same trap in which Hillary Clinton found herself, stuck defending the legacy of the two-term Obama Presidency, even as the economic dislocations of the Obama era fuelled the rise of populism on both left and right.

Obama Dimocrats only now realize that Obama is the kiss of death. As we repeatedly wrote in the 2016 cycle (starting in 2013 with our “Muddled Message Mess” denunciation of the future Hillary2016 campaign) the moment Hillary Clinton became the Obama Third Term was the moment her campaign died. Barack Obama was indeed the “Mistake In ’08”:

But I haven’t talked with a single Democrat or independent analyst who doesn’t think that the Party remains in serious danger of another electoral catastrophe.

Recently, another former Bill Clinton adviser, the onetime White House political director Doug Sosnik, published an op-ed in the Washington Post arguing that, as the headline put it, “Trump is on track to win reelection.” Sosnik contended that Democrats needed to immediately start figuring out how to appeal to voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, where a shift in votes for Trump won him the election. I mentioned the Sosnik article when I recently ran into a Washington operative who had also served as a key White House aide to Clinton. “Of course, Trump could win,” he said. “We’re the party that doesn’t have a message that speaks to the country or stand for anything other than being against Trump.” [snip]

“The Democratic Party today is divided over whether it wants to focus on the economy or identity,” Greenberg said when we talked. That is, as he pointed out, just what the Clinton campaign was fighting about a year ago. Greenberg and others who came out of the Bill Clinton era—like the former President himself—had never really let go of the economy-first mantra that got them to the White House in a different time, and they felt that there was a generational conflict with the Obama operatives who held sway over Hillary Clinton’s 2016 strategy. It was a fight that dogged the Clinton campaign all the way until its final days, when Greenberg and his allies inside the campaign pushed unsuccessfully to close with a focus on her plans for the economy.

The Obama Dimocrat Party is a party that brazenly discriminates against white people. Forget character if you want a job at the DNC. Only your skin color counts and that skin color better not be described as “white” in any way. We told you so back in 2010. And it is only going to get worse for Obama Dimocrats as red states get redder and the Obama Dimocrat Party get blacker, more anti-Semitic, and more anti-Christian pro Muslim.

In Virginia the Obama Dimocrats should by all rights win. They should win bigly. The big wins would then presage bigly victories in 2018. Like Hillary Clinton in 2016 all systems are go for a big Obama Dimocrat win in Virginia.

But then Donald J. Trump happened in 2016. Virginia??? Obama Dimocrats hope that victory in Virginia will soon mean impeachment and indictments to solve their Obama problem.

The hope for change by Obama Dimocrats is that the legal system can eliminate the Obama Dimocrats’ political/electoral problems. In 2016 the Obama Dimocrats via Hillary Clinton thought they could race-bait their way to electoral victory. But Trump happened.

As Virginia votes tomorrow, we will watch the election returns even as we prepare to celebrate the one year anniversary of the election of President Donald J. Trump. Meanwhile Hillary Clinton will not be celebrating.

Hillary Clinton will be fighting old fights with Brazile and the Obama leftists. Hillary Clinton will be regretting the moment she became the Obama Third Term and the Shield Maiden of Chappaqua. Hillary Clinton will remember how she smeared her lips with the Obama kiss of death.

Hillary Clinton will be fighting fights from the past as President Donald J. Trump, fighting for America in Asia, will be Making America Great Again.
