Mystery Answer Revealed: The Great @RealDonaldTrump Real Estate Scandal

The answer to THE great mystery, which almost every sentient being knew the answer to, is fully revealed. For weeks, after the Summer of Trump III, the great mystery has been why the Obama Dimocrats have changed their approach to President Donald J. Trump.

Obama Dimocrat Senator Feinstein said some nice things about President Trump and was immediately attacked by the Kook left. Nancy Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck Schumer too signaled they were not about to continue their ceaseless and wild attacks against President Donald J. Trump. These goofballs even signed on to agreements which benefit President Trump even as Big Media attempted to explain it all as a victory for Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck. “What the Hell happened?” asked the dummies such as those at Axios, who cannot not see the obvious so they come up with crackpot theories instead of looking at what is staring at them in their faces.

Let’s recap: Pelousy and Cryin’ Chuck along with the entire asylum full of American Horror Story Cult Obama Dimocrats were fully engaged in #TheResistance. The plan was to not let President Trump be “normalized” as a legitimate President. The entire Obama Dimocrat strategy was to portray President Trump as Herr Hitler. Resistance! Unfurl the Resistance!!! flags. Let Antifa roam the streets as the black-shirt army of the leftist Resistance! to Herr Hitler!!!!!!!!!!

But how can President Trump be Herr Hitler if #TheResistance Obama Dimocrats are cutting deals? “How can this be?”, asked those who already knew the answer. For the dummies, the American Horror Story Cult of leftist Kooks, the Obama Dimocrat establishment of totalitarians, the answer is finally revealed. The answer is what we here suspected all along. Polls. Focus groups.

The anti-Trump American Horror Story Cult at Politico explains:

Teflon Don confounds Democrats

Democrats have attacked the president every which way, but polling and focus groups show none of it’s working.

Democrats tried attacking Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency. They’ve made the case that he’s ineffective, pointing to his failure to sign a single major piece of legislation into law after eight months in the job. They’ve argued that Trump is using the presidency to enrich himself and that his campaign was in cahoots with Russia.

None of it is working.

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! NONE OF IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NONE OF IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!! How do we know???? Politico reveals the polls and focus groups conducted by Obama Dimocrats that demonstrate, NONE OF IT IS WORKING:

Data from a range of focus groups and internal polls in swing states paint a difficult picture for the Democratic Party heading into the 2018 midterms and 2020 presidential election. It suggests that Democrats are naive if they believe Trump’s historically low approval numbers mean a landslide is coming. The party is defending 10 Senate seats in states that Trump won and needs to flip 24 House seats to take control of that chamber.

The research, conducted by private firms and for Democratic campaign arms, is rarely made public but was described to POLITICO in interviews with a dozen top operatives who’ve been analyzing the results coming in.

“If that’s the attitude that’s driving the Democratic Party, we’re going to drive right into the ocean,” said Anson Kaye, a strategist at media firm GMMB who worked on the Obama and Clinton campaigns and is in conversations with potential clients for next year.

These are not Republican polls. These are not Big Media polls. These are Obama Dimocrat polls. These Obama Dimocrat polls confirm everything we have written about in our May 5, 2017 predictions of a President Donald J. Trump successful reelection and success in 2018 for the GOP as many of the anti-Trump Republicans are primaried successfully and Pro-Trump Republicans take their place in the next congress. The New Trump Republican Party wins bigly and the Barack Obama American Horror Story Cult Dimocrats are butchered:

Worse news, they worry: Many of the ideas party leaders have latched onto in an attempt to appeal to their lost voters — free college tuition, raising the minimum wage to $15, even Medicare for all — test poorly among voters outside the base. The people in these polls and focus groups tend to see those proposals as empty promises, at best.

Antifa blackshirt thugs, Bernie Sanders’ Bros and Hos, Hillary Clinton, Big Media, will respond that President Donald J. Trump is a chaotic mess and that is a big turnoff. In a political version of the Family Feud game show however, the vox populi has a different and very Trumpian answer:

Pollsters are shocked by how many voters describe themselves as “exhausted” by the constant chaos surrounding Trump, and they find that there’s strong support for a Congress that provides a check on him rather than voting for his agenda most of the time. But he is still viewed as an outsider shaking up the system, which people in the various surveys say they like, and which Democrats don’t stack up well against.

“People do think he’s bringing about change, so it’s hard to say he hasn’t kept his promises,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.

Yes, that is the same Celinda Lake quoted that we featured in our July 25 analysis (…40 million Americans who voted last year will likely not show up at the polls for the 2018 midterms — and that two-thirds of those “drop-off” voters will be millennials, unmarried women and people of color.) Lake’s predictions for 2018 are dire for Obama Dimocrats, as we discussed. In that same analysis we quoted Obama Dimocrat Willie Brown who said pretty much the same as the focus groups confirm:

In focus groups, most participants say they’re still impressed with Trump’s business background and tend to give him credit for the improving economy. The window is closing, but they’re still inclined to give him a chance to succeed.

More than that, no single Democratic attack on the president is sticking — not on his temperament, his lack of accomplishments or the deals he’s touted that have turned out to be less than advertised, like the president’s claim that he would keep Carrier from shutting down its Indianapolis plant and moving production to Mexico.

Voters are also generally unimpressed by claims that Trump exaggerates or lies, and they don’t see the ongoing Russia investigation adding up to much.

The Russia election theft fable won’t work???? But, but, but what about Herr Hitler #Resistance and Charlottesville and NAZIS!!!!! and alt-right!!!!!!!! and oh my god what about Hitler…. Hitler people, Hitler!!!! What about Hitler????? Um, the Family Feud answer is…:

The president’s equivocation on neo-Nazis was not as much of a political problem as his opponents want to believe, Democratic operatives say, and shifting the debate to whether or not to remove Confederate monuments largely worked for him.

“He is the president. The assessment that voters will make is, is he a good one or not? While Democrats like me have come to conclusions on that question, most of the voters who will decide future elections have not,” Canter said.

But what about #TheResistance!!!! What about POLICY!!!!!! POLICY, people, policy!!!!! Surely Obama Dimocrat American Horror Story Cult policy will save the day against Trump, right? RIGHT???? Policy will work against President Trump, right??? Um, WRONG:

Many of the proposals Democrats are pushing fall flat in focus groups and polling.

The call for free college tuition fosters both resentment at ivory tower elitism and regret from people who have degrees but are now buried under debt. Many voters see “free” as a lie — either they’ll end up paying for tuition some other way, or worse, they’ll be paying the tuition of someone else who’ll be getting a degree for free.

Those tuitions paid for by hard working Americans won’t be for their children or themselves. You can already see the DACA line forming and illegal immigrants getting special benefits in states across the nation. Think only Hitler and alt-right Republicans think that? Think again and watch Obama Dimocrats try to once again dupe the American people with dropped talk and Obama lies:

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Gerstein Bocian Agne Strategies conducted online polling of 1,000 Democrats and 1,000 swing voters across 52 swing districts for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Their advice to candidates afterward: Drop the talk of free college. Instead, the firms urged Democrats to emphasize making college more affordable and reducing debt, as well as job skills training, according to an internal DCCC memo.

Where are the Big Media headlines about the Obama Dimocrat Congressional Campaign Committee lies about free college tuition? Big Media continues to protect their brethren Obama Horror Story Cult.

But what about “free health care” and Bernie’s Medicare for all lies? Policy people, policy. Surely free health care is a winner against Herr Hitler, right??? Right??? Wrong:

Medicare-for-all tests better, but it, too, generates suspicion. The challenge is that most voters in focus groups believe it’s a pipe dream — they ask who will pay for it and suspect it will lead to a government takeover of health care — and therefore wonder whether the politicians talking to them about it are being less than forthright, too.

Wait until the failed single payer systems of California, Vermont, and Colorado get a full airing during election season. That’s why Obama Horror Story Cult Dimocrats are in for a bloody end of gruesome death.

But what about the minimum wage? The minimum wage, people!!!! Surely the minimum wage will lead Obama Dimocrats to victory against President Trump, right? Right??? Wrong:

Raising the minimum wage to $15 is as unpopular as it was when the Obama White House tried to make it Democrats’ rallying cry in the 2014 midterms. Participants in battleground-state focus groups said they see that rate as relatively high and the issue in general as being mostly about redistributing money to the poor.

The DCCC memo urges candidates instead to talk about a “living wage,” or to rail against outsourcing jobs.

“What you’re seeing is this thing that Democrats cannot seem to figure out — this notion that somehow if we just put the words together correctly that’ll be the winning message and we’ll win,” Kaye said. “That is the opposite of how the electorate is behaving.”

Raise the minimum wage and everyone else has to get a raise and then prices rise, so after all the economic dislocation, the status quo returns. If the government “gave” every American one million dollars a lollypop would rise in price to $50.00.

But, but, but, immigration and trade, people!!!! Immigration and trade!!!!! Immigration and trade will save Obama Cult Horror Dimocrats, right? Right????? Um, WRONG:

On immigration and trade, voters remain largely aligned with Trump. Data show that voters believe that the economy is moving in the right direction and resent Democrats attacking its progress.

Obama Dimocrat strategists are very worried. They see what we see in the polling data and in the zeitgeist.

Obama Dimocrats will resort to lies as usual. These dopes will try the same playbook of loser plays against President Trump that worked so well against the hapless Mittens Romney:

More and more, Democratic operatives are gravitating toward pushing for an argument that Trump is just out to make his rich friends richer, at the expense of everyone else. They believe they could include all sorts of attacks on his decisions under that umbrella, from stripping regulations on credit cards to trying to end Obamacare to pushing for corporate tax breaks.

Will that tactic work? No. President Trump is not Kittens Romney. President Trump has already made it clear that in any tax reform or tax cut his goal is to help the middle class even if that means the rich get schlonged.

The news for Obama Dimocrat Cultists in 2018, as we have written, is a flow of butchered blood. But it will get better in 2020, right??? Right? Wrong!!!!. Check out the latest smart rib-tickler from M. Joseph Sheppard of which we only provide the tasty gist:

The Virginia Governor’s Race May Decide The 2020 Presidential Election [snip]

The Bill To End Virginia’s ‘Winner Take All’ System

The answer is in a bill that was put forward in the Virginia House of Representatives, one that would end Virginia’s ‘winner take all’ electoral vote system: [snip]

Republicans have a near two-to-one advantage in the House of Delegates, 66-34, and a majority in the Virginia Senate 21-19. Current Governor McAuliffe is term limited, and if the GOP’s Gillespie is elected in 2017, the stage would be set for Cole to reintroduce the bill, which would then be free from the danger of a veto.

Donald Trump won the Electoral College handily 306 to 232, but that is of course no indicator of how close the race might be in 2020. If it were a Reagan-type blowout, then how Virginia’s electoral votes were allocated would be of passing interest. On the other hand, if the race were more akin to the Gore/Bush 2000 campaign, any change to Virginia’s apportionment would become vital, if not the deciding factor.

That’s a longer way of saying that in 2020 the state of Virginia will once again be in play but that whatever happens it is likely that President Trump will do well in Virginia, a state he lost in 2016. If the winner takes some system is approved, President Trump will get a bunch of electoral votes no matter who “wins” Virginia in 2020. That’s bad news for Obama Dimocrats. It’s another boulder thrown into the scales of the 2020 election which we predicted President Trump will win. Bigly.

So what is this “real estate scandal” we referenced in our title?

Picture a billionaire at the bulk discounter Costco, not buying anything, rather shoplifting, stealing, all he surveys. Picture this same billionaire at Van Cleef and Arpels, the jeweler on Fifth Avenue. He is not buying anything there either, rather shoplifting, stealing all he surveys. It is President Donald J. Trump and one of, if not the greatest political real estate thefts of all time.

We’ve explored this grand theft politics before. But the theft is now so wildly promiscuous and threatens to grow so massively that only an Obama Dimocrat RICO action could stop it. But it won’t. It won’t stop.

@RealDonaldTrump Walks Away With The Clinton Coalition

The bedrock of a winning coalition, the people Barack Obama dismissed in 2008 as “bitter” and clinging to their guns and Bibles, used to be the FDR coalition and the Clinton coalition. No longer. They are now part of the Trump Triumph. Hillary2016 has abandoned them so they have abandoned her. [snip]

Donald J. Trump is not a conservative the GOP establishment likes nor a liberal the Democratic Party likes. Donald Trump will destroy the Republican Party as we now know it because Barack Obama destroyed the Democratic Party as we once knew it. The GOP has long contained a struggle between it’s populist voters and the big money Chamber of Commerce types that want a low wage society. Donald Trump is against a low wage society and therefore against illegal immigration. The white working class understands this. Enough of the black working class and the Latino working class understands this too.

The white working class chased out of the Democratic Party by Obama’s Kook coalition had no where to go but to the Republican Party. Now the former Democrats join in solidarity with the long time populist Republicans – ergo TRUMP.

President Donald J. Trump is the greatest of American political real estate thieves. President Trump stole the Clinton coalition. President Trump stole the Republican Party. President Trump is stealing the Democratic Party of FDR/Kennedy. It’s a political real estate scandal.

President Trump has taken the real estate from the full spectrum of the right wing (far right, moderate right, liberal right) as well as the all important center of the political world, and is on the move to steal the center left and the moderate left. The only real estate President Trump will not steal is the kingdom of Kooks far far left and the dirty swamp.

But is picking up extremely valuable abandoned property, theft? Or is it smarts? The Obama Dimocrat Horror Cult is about to find out just how smart President Donald J. Trump is.

  1. Thanks to Steve Bannon:

An outside group linked to Steve Bannon is venturing into the closely watched Alabama special election with a hard-hitting commercial that goes after Republican incumbent Sen. Luther Strange, as well as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Bannon’s nemesis.

The spot, from the pro-Trump organization Great America Alliance, describes Strange as a “big time lobbyist” who was “appointed by the swamp” and is “in the pocket of Mitch McConnell.”

“It’s time to drain the swamp,” the ad says. “Take your voice to Washington, and vote for someone to represent you. On Sept. 26, don’t let the swamp take over Alabama.”

The ad also features a clip of former Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley saying that he consulted with McConnell before appointing Strange to the Senate seat, which was vacated when Jeff Sessions became attorney general.

With just two weeks until the GOP runoff, Bannon has declared his support for Roy Moore, the former Alabama Supreme court chief justice, who is running as an insurgent. By backing Moore, Bannon is going up against McConnell, who is boosting Strange and has directed millions of dollars toward his campaign.

    Election is on September 26.

2018 and 2020 will be even funnier. It will be American Horror Story: Cult come to life.

  3. Well, if they don’t have any policies to win with, the kooks can always play the race card. The travel ban was upheld this week by the supremes, barely mentioned this week, but come election time…

Trump should just make an executive order regarding the grants, otherwise elevate the decision

  9. All well and good for 2018 and 2020, but why can’t Trump do a few simple things right now to help himself drain the swamp, like replacing all of the Obama holdovers and Trump-haters in his administration that don’t require congressional approval? Why is it taking so long? Why is John Koskinin still the head of the IRS, with no investigation by the FBI? Why is Jeff Sessions still the AG, with no investigations into Clinton, Comey, Lynch, Rice, Jarrett, et al (well, maybe there ARE investigations being done correctly in secret, but I’m losing hope for that)? Seems like Trump isn’t taking advantage of the swamp-draining tools that he has available to him. Very frustrating to think that all of those arrogant slimeball criminals will escape proper justice via the two-tiered justice system. Give Sessions back his old Senate seat and make Jay Sekulow AG.

I wanted to know who authorized this Grant.. if you want to do some sifting while you’re reading, I will leave the results I’ve found. Meanwhile, I haven’t
read the 41pg decision issued by the judge. If this continues to be an evolving story it will be worth the research,

However, on a cursory read it seems the Grant itself has many requirements for eligibility. The irony is the grant itself is for the use of Law Enforcement is all 57 states and territories.

Bush enacted the funding through the
    Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005

    Here is the link:
    Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2005,_2005

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program

    From Wikipedia

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, or JAG originates out of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2005. Named for New York City police officer Edward Byrne, who was murdered in 1988, the JAG program is administered by the Office of Justice Programs’s Bureau of Justice Assistance, and provides federal criminal justice funding to state, local and tribal jurisdictions. [1] The funding is intended for a variety of areas, such as personnel, training, equipment and supplies.

The Recovery Act of 2009 appropriated $2 Billion in funding to the JAG program. [2]

The United States Department of Justice announced in late July 2017 that more than two hundred sanctuary cities will be disqualified from receiving Byrne grants if their noncompliance with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement continues.[3]

To me, Sessions is holding all the cards anyway. The DOJ holds the purse strings. It might have been a better strategy on his part to wait and see the results after law enforcement goes into Chicago and take it up as a separate issue if they are problems.

The requirements in the Grant are non-binding and are discretionary, All that would have had to be added to that portion of the grant would have been language declaring the requirement be binding… And it’s the arm of Sessions dept that writes the rules.

Don’t forget in 2009 it was Obama’s justice dept who wrote the existing language. That fact alone is suspect.

  12. A woman with problems at Glamour magazine:

Help, I Can’t Stop Hooking Up With Trump Supporters

When someone asks about my worst hookup, I have plenty of options to choose from, but I inevitably end up telling the same story. It’s the one where I started arguing with a Trump supporter at a bar and then before I knew it, I was waking up the next morning in his bedroom. There were flags everywhere: Ronald Reagan’s face was emblazoned on one of them, “Don’t Tread On Me” made an appearance on another. I say it was the “worst” not because the sex was bad, but because, well, see above.

This was in early 2016 and—while it doesn’t excuse my choice of partner—it was before Pussygate, before the suggestion of violence against his opponents,, and before the realities of a Trump presidency really set in. So while I found a lot of his comments abhorrent, hooking up with one of his supporters wasn’t quite the moral conundrum to me that it would become a few months later.

To my own surprise, we kept hooking up and—despite the fact that our political opinions were diametrically opposed—it didn’t feel weird. When we texted, we’d naturally argue about politics, but also about other things, like if corn or flour tortillas made for the best tacos, or whether Drake or Kendrick Lamar was the better rapper (I said Kendrick, of course). When we met up in person, that pent-up anger would turn into frustration, which would turn into a sort of competitive tension that resulted, inevitably, in sex.

I knew we’d never be anything more to each other than a hookup, but I didn’t care. The sex was hot, and it was uncomplicated in the sense that neither of us expected—or even really wanted—any strings attached. And since I was confident in my political convictions, all that witty banter about tax codes, emails, and border walls was the foreplay I never knew I needed.

I assumed it was a onetime experiment, but shortly after we ended things I started sleeping with yet another Trumpster who I was inexplicably attracted to. This, I’m sorry to say, was after Trump had secured the nomination, but in my defense I was still pretty certain we were going to elect Hillary Clinton, so I could ignore the fact that this guy’s family wore MAGA hats. Harder to ignore was his conviction that if Clinton won, we would automatically go to war—with which country, he couldn’t say, but he was certain that a woman president would lead to war because…emotions, maybe? I have no idea. He was ill-informed, sexist, and loved to start arguments with me.

But once again the thrill of the election and the friction of our differences made the passion so much more palpable in bed. So I pushed aside his ingrained bigotry and instead let it wash over me, filling me with a desire to prove him wrong—or maybe to just be on top of him.

As much as I don’t like the idea of sleeping with people whose values are clearly the opposite of my own, I can’t seem to stop, especially since the election. I’m an extremely competitive person and knowing that the guy I’m with is on the “winning” team (even though I’m still correct) just forces that competitiveness into overdrive. Even when my annoyance with Trump and his supporters turns into depression, anxiety, and frustration, I still get an odd sense of vindication after sleeping with one of them.

And it’s by no means just a way to feed into that whole “What if I can change him?” cliché. I don’t need any of these Trumpsters to actually like me. It’s merely because I’ve discovered that crazy political tension also makes for great sexual tension.

Plus, in an odd way, sleeping with Trump supporters reaffirms my own political and personal values. I don’t think I could ever have a serious relationship with a one—I can’t be with someone who won’t understand why the news sometimes causes me to burst into tears, or why I want to throw my phone across the room after reading the President’s latest tweet. For me, differing political ideologies are a deal breaker. But that only makes me more OK with accepting these flings for what they are: Opportunities for excellent hate-sex. And to be able to walk away unbothered, unburdened, and sexually satisfied makes me feel powerful at a time when many people with my liberal leanings have never felt less in control.

Is this a sustainable pattern? Probably not. For one, it occasionally brings me added stress and it isn’t really the kind of relationship I want in the long run. But for right now I can highly recommend hooking up with someone whose politics you hate.

As long as you don’t forget to vote.

“Pussygate?” Is this the definition of a dumb ho? This is one sick twisted sista.

She’s a ho who explains away her ho-ness by saying it makes her feel empowered.

Are we wrong on this? Thoughts?

Sessions retiring or giving up the power of AG’s office voluntarily in any way are both unlikely but we can dream; just call us “dreamers.” 🙂

I don’t think Sessions is going anywhere. Did he screw up? Yes. I think these two are friends in a way that The Donald and Jefferson Beauregard don’t find often. While their personalities may not be equal their intellects are. Case in point if tittle-tattle can be believed is DACA. The wealthy and isolated NYC elites in the White House, including the Kushners (who heard from a friend whose nanny is Dreamer or has a PA who is a Dreamer that they are all fabulous) pushed to just “legalize” them all. Simple, over, feel good, liberal friends approve, etc. Jefferson Beauregard with one on one facetime and all the reasons no, rule of law, unfair, costly, fake marketing, open borders, harms lower economic strata of citizens, Trump was given for his campaign Session’s decades of research from the Senate and already knows this, etc. Who won the argument? Jefferson Beauregard won because of reason and facts and the welfare of the nation.

These two agree on issues. They differ on how. In their own way they are equals and Trump doesn’t have too many of them at this point in his life. Sessions may say screw it tomorrow and quit but I don’t think he will. Some of this tension between them written up breathlessly is fake. Remember that Sessions is hated almost as much as Trump in DC. They are both radicals in elitist and money grubbing DC.

As an old fart I have to wonder if these females ever use any part of their person except their sex organs? Is this the center of their being? What does that say about them? Men have been accused since time immemorial of thinking with their other “head”. What exactly are these women doing except that equivalent? Do they have minds, souls, hearts? Are they just walking talking sex organs? Does this obsession with one part of their bodies and lives suggest a mental problem? I think it possibly does. And why are they enabled to write about it like it is just normal behavior. Because it is funny? Hip? Or sad? Or is it being normalized? Since everything is made political maybe gonads are too. It is creepy and pathetic. Is anything private or personal any longer? Maybe this is the progression from demands that everyone have and talk about their abortion or porn collection. Where does it end? Or maybe the internet isn’t full enough of garbage and the left is out of ideas so gonads because pussy hats worked out so well. The lunacy proceeds.

It’s not a man or woman thing. It’s a people thing. That is just how some people are. Yes and it can be the result of being sexually abused as a child or having a disorder. But being over-sexed is a people thing.

  17. Mormaer @ 6:01 am:

Agreed that Sessions is doing a good job wrt illegal immigration; however, he seems to be ignoring some other major aspects of his job like getting rid of Obama holdovers and Trump-haters.

Last week the FBI refused to turn over requested documents related to the Clintons to one of the congressional committees citing “lack of public interest” in the matter. Seriously? Since when is that one of the criteria used in their decision-making process? They also confirmed that they are not even investigating the IRS scandal despite obvious lying, destruction of evidence, fifth amendments and, yes, a confession and apology from Lois Lerner. Where is the investigation of the “unmasking” scandal and that whole cast of characters? Why is Andrew McCabe still at the FBI and where is HIS investigation?

Judicial Watch is also complaining that the current Justice Dept is still stonewalling several of their FOIA requests for information pertaining to their own investigations.

I always qualify these accusations by mentioning that Justice Dept investigations are supposed to be conducted in secret and maybe that’s what is being done. But hope fades as time goes by.

Even if Sessions is doing the job on illegal immigration, he needs to walk and chew gum at the same time, and clean out the Justice Dept also. If he is not capable of doing that, I think Trump should replace him now. These smug, arrogant swamp criminals cannot be allowed to escape consequences for what they’ve done.

She just sounds like one of those illbred women in Jane Austen’s novels who get their comeuppance at the end.

  19. Mormaer:

We also don’t know for sure that Sessions won that DACA argument; it remains to be seen what legislation will be conjured up for Trump to sign. They may all end up being legalized anyway.

I heard Trump say in a video clip yesterday that there will be no amnesty for DACA immigrants; we are just looking for ways to allow them to stay. Huh? Is the plan to re-define the word amnesty so that it can be said that it wasn’t given? A quote worthy of George W. Bush.

  20. Mike Marks

I agree, Sessions is good on immigration, it’s his laser focus, but it seems to be at the expense of absolutely everything else.
I really don’t get it, and it’s determential to the Trump and American agenda. It’s as if he became AG simply to deal with immigration and MJ and little else.

The over sexed millennial s are disgusting IMHO and has little to do with past sexual abuses, other than societal. Not to say that abused people don’t act out sexually, clearly they do, but our society has been pushing this free love, scantly clad meme for many years, hell, movies , even daytime dramas are almost unwatchable, actually they are. I have no interest in watching people grunt and groan.
The biggest hypocrites they are, they flaunt their bodies, talk nasty all the time, have 3 ways, 10 ways, gender bending non stop but Trump used the word “pussy” and nothing was ever the same.

I heard that statement from Trump

If everything is not tied together, that the wall gets funded, cut the special funding the dreamers receive, no to special eduction opportunities or free college vs hard paying Americans getting soaked, any legal issues BESIDES illegal immigrant and your gone, 5 years to citizenship or your gone, no dual BS.

  25. Remember that Jennifer Lawrence movie and the culture war regarding President Trump that was recently written about here? The movie reviews are in:

Not even Jennifer Lawrence could win over CinemaScore audiences with mother! Her new ‘What the…’ film with director (and current boyfriend) Darren Aronofsky earned a dreaded F from the movie polling company after Friday night screenings.

mother! had a positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes (69 percent of critics gave the film a positive review), but audiences revolted against Aronofsky’s film, which mixes broad religious allegory with home-invasion horror and ends with a sequence of shocking, R-rated violence. The overall rejection might have something to do with how the film was marketed, as CinemaScore founder Ed Mintz explained in a 2016 interview about his company.

“A’s generally are good, B’s generally are shaky, and C’s are terrible. D’s and F’s, they shouldn’t have made the movie, or they promoted it funny and the absolute wrong crowd got into it,” he said.

Senate Democrats are three seats shy of a majority and almost entirely on defense in the 2018 elections, making it all but impossible for them to retake the chamber next year.

But Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen are privately refusing to rule out an improbable midterm victory, even though they must first defend 10 incumbents in states President Donald Trump won. Their insistence is primarily to keep donors invested and excited about next year’s Senate races, said a handful of top party operatives.

Harvard was right not to admit convicted child murderer Michelle Jones
JOHN SEXTON Posted at 7:01 pm on September 16, 2017

The NY Times published a story Wednesday on the case of Michelle Jones. Jones is a convicted murderer. Now 45 years old, she has spent the past 21 years in prison for the murder of her four-year-old son, Brandon.

Jones was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the crime but got out early for good behavior. In the view of some, Jones became a model of the kind of rehabilitation that society should applaud. While in prison she earned a college degree and wrote a paper on the history of her own prison which last year won an award from the Indiana Historical Society. Jones also wrote a play which is scheduled to be performed at a theater in Indianapolis soon.

What Jones wants to do now (she was released last month) is get her Ph.D. in history. She applied to Harvard and was rejected but was accepted by NYU. And that’s what the NY Times story is really about. It’s titled, “From Prison to Ph.D.: The Redemption and Rejection of Michelle Jones” and the basic idea is that Harvard was wrong to reject Jones’ application because she has paid her debt to society. The story suggests she was rejected not because she wasn’t qualified but because top administrators were concerned about the bad optics of giving a child murderer a coveted slot at the university:

Minors who take nude pictures of themselves are now pornographers
After the history department accepted her and the American studies program listed her as a top alternate, two American studies professors flagged Ms. Jones’s file for the admissions dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. In a memo to university administrators, these professors said the admissions dean had told them Ms. Jones’s selection would be reviewed by the president and provost, and questioned whether she had minimized her crime “to the point of misrepresentation.”

“We didn’t have some preconceived idea about crucifying Michelle,” said John Stauffer, one of the two American studies professors. “But frankly, we knew that anyone could just punch her crime into Google, and Fox News would probably say that P.C. liberal Harvard gave 200 grand of funding to a child murderer, who also happened to be a minority. I mean, c’mon.”
Predictably, there are lots of people who are outraged. Even the prosecutor who put Jones behind bars says, “what Harvard did is highly inappropriate: I’m the prosecutor, not them. Michelle Jones served her time, and she served a long time, exactly what she deserved. A sentence is a sentence.” The story, which was written for the NY Times by a staff writer for an advocacy group called the Marshall Project, also strives to depict Jones as a victim whose later actions actions were the result of her own trauma:

Ms. Jones got pregnant at 14 after what she called non-consensual sex with a high-school senior. Her mother responded by beating her in the stomach with a board, according to the prosecutor who later handled her case, and she was placed in a series of group homes and foster families.

In a personal statement accompanying her Harvard application, Ms. Jones said she had a psychological breakdown after years of abandonment and domestic violence, and inflicted similar treatment on her own son, Brandon Sims.

The boy died in 1992 in circumstances that remain unclear; the body was never found.

Two years later, during a stay at a mental-health crisis center, Ms. Jones admitted that she had buried him without notifying the police or Brandon’s father and his family. At her trial, a former friend testified that Ms. Jones confessed to having beaten the boy and then leaving him alone for days in their apartment, eventually returning to find him dead in his bedroom.
As horrifying as this sounds, the Marshall Project account actually minimizes the horror of what happened quite a bit. When I first read this relatively anodyne account, I imagined that Jones had gone on a bender of either drugs or alcohol and returned to find her son dead. At which point, in my mind, she broke down in sobs, confessed to having left him alone and went to prison for murder. That’s not at all what happened.

According to court documents, Jones left her 4-year-old son alone to attend a weekend-long “theater network conference” in Detroit with a friend. She told the friend she had placed a babysitter in charge of her son. But after that weekend no one ever saw the boy again. A few weeks later her landlord noticed “hundreds of flies covering the inside front bedroom window.” He went inside and discovered an empty child’s bedroom with a strong smell of urine. Jones told the landlord her son was wetting the bed. But after she moved out the landlord discovered a “brown stain” on the floor.

Around this time, Jones was also seen repeatedly cleaning the inside and outside of her car. She told friends her son was living with his father. More than a year and a half later, Jones admitted to a friend that she had returned after the theater conference, found her son dead and taken his body to a wooded area to bury it. A month later she checked into a mental health center where she confessed to finding Brandon dead. Police investigated but were never able to find his body. Jones later admitted she had misled the police about the location of the body.

Months later Jones returned to work and changed her insurance coverage to show she had no dependents. More than a year passed before she admitted to another friend that she had beaten Brandon before leaving him alone in the apartment. At this point, it had been more than three years since the boy’s death.

Finally in late 1996, more than four years after Brandon’s death, Jones was charged with murder. As mentioned above, she was found guilty and given a 50-year sentence. But the story actually gets worse. Approximately two years into her sentence, Jones filed an appeal which argued that her conviction should be overturned on the grounds that Brandon’s body had never been recovered:

Jones contends the trial court erred in admitting her various confessions into evidence. According to Jones, the State produced insufficient evidence of corpus delicti to justify admission of the statements. In support of this contention, Jones argues that the evidence apart from her confessions does not support an inference that she committed either Murder or Neglect of a Dependent, but indicates merely that “Brandon is missing or has been placed somewhere by Jones.”
So even after her conviction, Jones was using her own cover-up of the crime to attempt to escape justice. I don’t think that demonstrates anything like remorse. It seems to me to demonstrate a callous and depraved mind. And her deception continues. Brandon’s body still has never been located. No doubt it could still reveal something about the crime, i.e. the nature of the injuries he suffered prior to death.

Jones has also never explained the motive for the murder. Brandon was born with a serious health condition called gonadotropin-independent precocious puberty. In essence, it’s the early onset of puberty in childhood, sometimes caused by a tumor which leads to a release of sex hormones. The result is a young child who can develop body hair, acne and other signs of puberty very early. The disease can be treated and this health encyclopedia entry says without treatment the child will not reach their full height later in life. In discussing Brandon’s condition with her boyfriend’s mother, Jones said “she did not want to raise a freak.” The appeals court felt this statement provided evidence of motive. In other words, Jones may have murdered her son because she was embarrassed by him.

Even if you put the question of motive aside, Michelle Jones beat a four-year-old and left him, either dead or dying, so she could go to a theater conference. She then lied about it to the boy’s father and everyone else for several years. Even after she was convicted years later, she attempted to use her own refusal to admit where she buried her son’s broken body to escape justice.

Yes, Jones did her time, but she doesn’t deserve much credit for that seeing as she fought it every step of the way. Legally she has paid her debt but calling her rehabilitated is a stretch when the body of her son is still lying in an unmarked grave. Second chances are a good idea, even in cases of murder, but they should go to people who show some remorse. I don’t see that in Jones’ story and, clearly, Harvard didn’t either.

Sessions won out over Javanka and Cohn. If he hadn’t he would have quit. I’m pretty sure about that. The Dreamer issue is one of “wearing everyone down”. It’s like Russia, Russia, Russia. LOOK AT THE HAND! They just won’t give up on it even though it is morphing into a “rule of law” issue. Why do foreigners who spit on our legal system get away with it and we can’t? Where is the dream for us, the mercy, the wink-wink to law breaking? Dreamers, illegals, cartels don’t like laws that are not shall we say convenient for their needs so ignore them and then rationalize why they “HAD” to break them. The citizen public can do that too. Citizens are getting adept at adopting the lefts tactics. And that is what a civil insurrection is. They can’t catch all of us. Rationalizations of “we can’t deport them all” so we have to pay for them, honor them as some weird cultural heroes, learn Spanish, etc can and will morph into “I can do whatever the hell I want and I have no “want” to pay taxes”. It gets messy. Very fast. I think the Dems like Pelousi and Feinstein are seeing the beginnings and outlines of that coming ahead so are trying to correct course a little but they can’t with a party based solely on identity politics. Their Bernie-Bots are ready to split off.

I’m also tired of Trump switching around, ambiguous language, and playing both sides. I guess he has a reason but I’m not terribly interested in it at this point as it seems too contrived. It is a tactic of confusion, obfuscation, and what Scott Adams calls strategic ambiguity. His voters want some straight talk and he isn’t doing it. The media is full on into misinformation so I don’t follow every wiggle they report.

  32. Harvard has made some interesting choices stepping back from the precipice of being the home of crazies, psychos, and criminals. Who wants their kid mixing with murderers and traitors? Even lefties have a limit on the welfare of their little nut-burgers. I suspect the idea of becoming an international joke had something to do with it. They don’t like being laughed at.

  33. Hillary sounds more and more like a wealthy, elite, entitled person who didn’t get what they paid for and is very angry about it. If you have ever been around a wealthy person who “pays” for some over the top whatever, a house, a yacht, a horse farm, the chairmanship of charity, etc, and doesn’t get the outcome they feel entitled to receive they never shut up about it and blame everyone but themselves for having ridiculous expectations. Hillary thinks she bought the presidency and she didn’t get what she bought. She is pissed. She’s cheated. Everyone done her wrong. It is tiresome but kind of funny too.

  34. Mormaer @ 7:42 am:

Agreed. I guess we’ll just have to wait for the final legislation to see who won that argument.

It’s still not clear who they want to allow to stay; the number cited is usually 800,000 because that’s how many apparently signed up for DACA when it began. But what about the ones that are here but didn’t sign up? What about the unaccompanied teenagers who have surged over the border for the last 5 years?

What about the families? The dreamers are the victims who had no choice in coming since they were children. But what about the parents? They’re the actual criminals so will they be allowed to stay because we can’t break up the families? And what about Uncle Tony who is also here and what about his wife who stayed in Mexico? Should we include them too?

It’s a real slippery slope where the final number of amnestied immigrants could easily exceed the 1986 Reagan amnesty of 3 million. Plus the new surge that will inevitably follow.

All this crying over the beautiful dreamers and not a word about the American citizens whose jobs they are taking and who are subsidizing their education, medical care, and incarceration costs. Just getting a border wall and “enhanced border security” (which never happens) doesn’t really seem like a reasonable trade-off for Trump to accept. I can’t even picture a reasonable trade-off for this kind of a deal; Trump would always be giving away too much of his number one issue and campaign promise. It seems like a lose-lose for him either way. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Illegal aliens broke up their families first when they came to the US. Really all immigrants do and it never was used before to ask that entire countries be housed in the US because a number of immigrants came legally or illegally before. Entire clans didn’t come but rather individuals. That argument is another excuse which doesn’t seem to swing both ways but rather only if asked to leave the US. I really think parents who break immigration laws with their children need to see legal ramifications. It is child trafficking even if it is your own child or nephew or grandchild or when the child is handed over to criminal gangs to transport them over the border. While arguing that it was for their benefit and betterment it is also taking something that isn’t theirs to begin with and is a form of theft.

Illegals by definition should not be the sort of immigrants that the US wants. They ignore our laws and violate them with no thought or conscience. They jump the line and show poor impulse control and don’t want to pay fees, etc. They view it as entitlement which it is not. And they show anger at the US population who did nothing to them unlike their own governments and families who break law and custom with no thought of consequences. They view us and legal immigrants as chumps and people to be conned and fooled and lied to with excuses and no self examination over crimes they commit. Against US.

You’re right that we will have to wait for the final whatever it is going to be. But even lefty FiveThirtyEight sees what I see. Trump kicked DACA over to Congress….to do nothing thus ending it with a whimper.
It didn’t pass before because the voting public doesn’t want it. It is rewarding cheats. Yes the poor “kids” get screwed but really who did that to them? Their own families did it. The overwhelming majority have no interest in US citizenship or they would have done something about it. They want green cards and benefits not offered in Mexico. They need to head home and Make Mexico Great.

  36. Foxyladi14 we tweeted the author of that article:

He sees, years after we did, that the parties have been blown up. But he does not see the cause is Barack Obama who destroyed the FDR/JFK coalition and replaced it with his coalition of kooks/abnormals. The homeless refugees of the old Democratic Party (seniors, whites, working class) drifted to the GOP. The GOP did not welcome them either. But Trump rolled out the red carpet for the politically homeless. Ergo, Trump’s hostile takeover of the GOP, election victory, and a new Trump coalition which will continue to win.

I have to agree with the “snowflakes” on this one. That video is not funny. It is nasty with violent overtones. Like a physical attack. That is the kind of thing the ugly left is promoting.

  38. Mormaer @ 3:03 pm:

Thanks for the discussion; I always appreciate your perspective.

One more thought. If immigrants always break up their families before coming here, then who are we talking about with the DACA kids? My understanding is that these are the kids who were brought by their families as infants so that they had no choice in the matter. To me, this is quite different from the parents who send their kids across the border on their own. The latter should not even be considered under DACA since they came here on their own voluntarily (most are teenagers anyway) and should be deported immediately.

If Congress ends up not passing anything, as you and Admin both predicted, that would be a most fortunate outcome. Big gamble; fingers crossed.

  44. DACA. What amazes us about this story is that the AP decided to write about it.

SAN FRANCISCO — Federal immigration agents were tracking a teenager who was facing deportation when he fatally shot a popular community volunteer during a robbery in San Francisco, authorities said Friday.

The slaying occurred on Aug. 15, four days after sheriff’s investigators say 18-year-old Erick Garcia-Pineda stole the murder weapon from the personal car of a San Francisco police officer.

Four days after the killing, Garcia-Pineda’s monitoring device was removed from his ankle, triggering an unsuccessful search for him. An immigration judge ordered him to wear the bracelet as a condition of his release from federal custody in April.

The case has stirred memories of the 2015 killing of a young woman on a San Francisco pier by a Mexican national who had been deported five times. A gun stolen from a law enforcement officer was also used in that shooting.

The shooting also ignited a national debate on sanctuary city policies that bar local police from cooperating with federal immigration authorities unless they are seeking suspects convicted or charged with violent crimes.

Authorities say Garcia-Pineda had been detained by immigration authorities in December and released from custody in April pending deportation. In addition to wearing the ankle monitor, the judge required him to routinely check in with immigration officials.

He failed to show up for his August appointment, said James Schwab, a spokesman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE said a contractor received a tamper alert on Aug. 19 but authorities couldn’t find him. ICE told the man’s attorney that his client should report to them immediately.

The sheriff’s department says Garcia-Pineda was wearing the ankle bracelet when he was arrested on Sept. 3 on misdemeanor battery charges and deputies removed it. ICE says the Sheriff’s Department ignored a request to block his release from jail that day.

Investigators later connected Garcia-Pineda to the killing of 23-year-old Abel Esquivel during a robbery.

ICE agents also asked the local sheriff in May to detain a second man arrested locally who is also charged with Esquivel’s murder, Jesus Perez-Araujo, 24.

San Francisco police arrested Perez-Araujo for possession of marijuana and illegal possession of brass knuckles. He was ultimately only charged with misdemeanor possession of brass knuckles, court records showed.

Esquivel volunteered at the Central American Resource Center, which provides legal help to low-income Latino clients and other social services.

“We were shocked to hear the weapon belonged to a police officer,” said Lariza Dugan Cuadra, executive director of the center.

Martin Halloran, president of the police officers’ union, said the officer did not know his vehicle had been broken into until after the shooting.

“There were no visible signs of the burglary,” Halloran said. “The officer, a highly decorated veteran, is devastated.”

In the 2015 killing, Kate Steinle was shot as she walked on a pier crowded with tourists.

The San Francisco sheriff had released José Inez García Zárate from jail several weeks before the Steinle shooting despite a detainer request from ICE.

Zarate acknowledges shooting the gun but said it fired accidentally. He has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.

Jury selection for his trial begins Oct. 2 while the debate over sanctuary cities continues.

The Trump administration opposes the policy and has threatened to withhold federal funds to those cities, prompting lawsuits. A federal judge on Friday barred the administration from withholding funding until a lawsuit in Chicago is resolved.

California’s “sanctuary state” bill that would limit police cooperation with federal immigration authorities cleared a major hurdle Friday when it was approved by the state Assembly.

The Senate was scheduled to give final approval to the legislation before lawmakers wrap up the legislative year late Friday or early Saturday.

San Francisco police say Garcia-Pineda and two other young men began driving around the city looking for robbery victims after they stole the gun on Aug. 11.

A police bulletin from 2015 said officers should keep a gun with them when they are in public and that if they are forced to leave a firearm briefly in an unattended vehicle, they must secure the weapon in the locked trunk where it cannot be seen.

AP is trying to blame the police for the theft of the gun the illegal immigrant stole.

Tropical Storm Maria officially became a hurricane late Sunday afternoon, taking aim at already battered islands in the Caribbean amid growing concerns that Florida again could become a target.

The National Hurricane Center said Maria had maximum sustained winds of 75 mph as of 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, making it a Category 1 hurricane. By 9 p.m. it had strengthened to 80 mph.

The islands already hit hard by Irma are about to be hit again.

… My understanding is that these are the kids who were brought by their families as infants so that they had no choice in the matter.

They were not brought over the border as infants with coyotes as it would kill small babies and children and is entirely too dangerous and rigorous a journey so those kinds of stories are fake. I would guess many are visa overstays (day passes for shopping or visas to visit relatives and never go back) or used fraudulent documents to enter the country claiming to be coming back from visiting grandma which is very common. There is a huge amount of back and forth over the border. They buy and “rent” papers and there is a huge market for fake documents by legal residents or citizen or thieves who have stolen ID even for children. Some are “unaccompanied” children who rushed the border but were with their mothers, or other families members in recent years and not years ago as required by DACA. Remember that DACA applications were not vetted but rather just processed with little to no proof or fraudulent verbal claims by the Obama administration. Kids are used as a tool to expand benefits received or to pay for the raising of their children. Many deportees have told sad stories of how their family members sent for them in Mexico and Central America to expand their levels of benefits, didn’t care anything about them and thus they went into crime, underage pregnancies, etc. It is a sad life but it is their own families and country doing it to them. “Undocumented” really only means they haven’t bothered to get a Mexican passport which they could get but don’t want to be bogged down with that one identity. Many also have them but won’t show them. This a a policy of Mexico which is cynical in the extreme. What other country would do such a thing? Syria?

It really reminds me of studies done in the UK about crime running in large families generation to generation. Is it culture or genetics? Some of both? There is definitely a criminal class (cartels as well as general misfits) operating in the US from Mexico. I have been told personally by a police chief and a sheriff that illegals picked up for appalling crimes (they said they have zero conscience or even awareness that they hurt, raped, molested or killed another human being) tell law enforcement that they were told to get out of Mexico as if that is their get out of jail card or a valid excuse and don’t understand why they aren’t turned loose. And of course Mexico demands young men to go make money in the US and send it back to Mexico like it is a patriotic and cultural duty. Mexico is deeply dysfunctional both as a political, economic and cultural country. They export their unwanted people and problems. I really can’t think of a more disrespectful or contemptuous neighboring country in the world today than Mexico towards the US. I know and have great respect for people who have immigrated and assimilated LEGALLY from Mexico to the US and almost to a person they regard it as a corrupt and racist hell hole that they fled. Our policies have enabled Mexico. It needs to stop. It is descending into a failed state. But then so were we until Trump.

  47. In a building where long statements are commonplace, Trump spoke for just four minutes. More than 120 countries were invited to attend Monday’s reform meeting after signing on to a U.S.-drafted 10-point political declaration backing efforts by U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres “to initiate effective, meaningful reform.”

  48. Obama, liar, hypocrite, flim-flam con man:

Obama goes from White House to Wall Street in less than a year

Hillary Clinton says she made a mistake when she gave speeches on Wall Street after leaving government. Taking money from banks, she writes in her new memoir, created the impression she was in their pocket.

Her old boss doesn’t seem to share her concern.

Last month, just before her book “What Happened” was published, Barack Obama spoke in New York to clients of Northern Trust Corp. for about $400,000, a person familiar with his appearance said. Last week, he reminisced about the White House for Carlyle Group LP, one of the world’s biggest private equity firms, according to two people who were there. Next week, he’ll give a keynote speech at investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald LP’s health-care conference. [snip]

Obama’s appearance at the Carlyle conference in Washington was previously unreported. [snip]

The ex-president has been busy. His foundation is raising money for a library in Chicago, and he and his wife signed a book deal with Penguin Random House after an auction that went above $60 million, according to the Financial Times. He spoke about food in Milan, democracy in Jakarta and himself at an A&E Television Networks event in New York. He vacationed in California and Hawaii and on Richard Branson’s Necker Island with its billionaire owner.

Obama has picked private equity, hedge fund, venture capital and banking veterans to oversee his foundation, and an alumnus of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to advise him on investments.

Northern Trust is a bank that specializes in wealth management for rich families and services for big funds. The event had gone unreported, but a program accessible on the firm’s website lists Obama alongside executives from Microsoft Corp., IBM and Michael Bloomberg, majority owner of Bloomberg LP.

Northern Trust, based in Chicago, gave Obama a discount on a $1.32 million loan for a mansion in that city in 2005, after he was elected to the Senate, the Washington Post reported.

Both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump blasted Clinton for her lucrative Goldman Sachs speeches, and the issue is still raw. Sanders and fellow Senator Elizabeth Warren have tried to pry the Democratic Party away from its coziness with Wall Street. If Obama is hoping the party will be a big tent with room for corporate giants, they may stand in his way.

Obama’s donor friends tend to mention the same reason when they defend his Wall Street speeches, saying he’s no longer president and not running for office. Morgan Stanley Vice Chairman Tom Nides is one of them.

“I love Barack Obama, and if someone is willing to pay him to give a speech, God bless America,” said Nides, a deputy secretary of state under Clinton in Obama’s administration.

But Jeff Hauser, who studies political corruption as head of the Revolving Door Project in Washington, said Obama should play by the same rules as other politicians because of his ongoing work with the Democratic Party.

“He’s continuing to exercise the authority,” Hauser said, citing Obama’s support for the party’s redistricting committee and the push he gave Tom Perez in the race to head the Democratic National Committee. If he wants to play a role, “he ought to forgo a few hundred thousand here and maybe a half-million there.” [snip]

“I don’t think getting any grief for doing this is going to bother him at all.”

Northern Trust brings back our old friend Rezko. Obama is getting $400,000 at Cantor and will discuss ObamaCare. Nothing changes, no hope.

  49. Hollywood hypocrites and liars:

This is the first year that the Red Carpet got air conditioning. After last year’s heat wave, stars and press were treated to much cooler temperatures this year than last year. (Interestingly, the show opened with a sketch in which Allison Janney worried about several problems, including global warming.)

With 11.38 million viewers tuning into the 69th annual Primetime Emmy Awards is even with last year’s show on ABC, which was the all-time low. The 2016 show was down 5% from the 2015 show, which was the previous low. Among adults 18-49, last night’s Emmys snagged a 2.5 rating. That’s down 10% from the Jimmy Kimmel hosted show of last year, the previous demo low.

  50. DACA creeps biting the hand that feeds:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi held a press conference Monday in San Francisco to discuss her tentative deal with President Donald Trump to protect young undocumented immigrants from deportation, but the event was disrupted for more than half an hour by activists angry at her compromise to increase border security.

Pelosi eventually left the news conference as protesters yelled, “You’re a liar.”

The immigration activists who shouted down Pelosi said they weren’t surprised that Democrats had betrayed them given increased immigration raids under President Obama. “Did you think we would forget?” they chanted, as Pelosi and her staff tried to reclaim order. Some House Democrats agree with the activists that concessions on border security should only come as part of a much bigger deal to grant status to some 11 million undocumented immigrants.

Prior to being interrupted, Pelosi said she would demand that any deal with Trump include a path for citizenship for undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. “We want that to be the basis of how we go forward,” she said. The White House has signaled it would be willing to extend work authorizations in a deal, while preventing these immigrants from attaining permanent legal status.

Do these DACA creeps think they help to persuade Americans they are decent people who deserve special treatment to violate the law when they disrupt and carry foreign flags to attack America. Idiots who should be thrown out.

  51. Israel, safe with President Trump:

BISLACH AIR BASE, Israel (AP) — Israel and the U.S. inaugurated the first American military base on Israeli soil on Monday, which will serve dozens of soldiers operating a missile defense system.

The move comes at a time of growing Israeli concerns about archenemy Iran’s development of long-range missiles. Together with the U.S., Israel has developed a multilayered system of defenses against everything from long-range guided missile attacks from Iran to crude rockets fired from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

The base’s opening is largely symbolic and isn’t expected to bring operational changes. But the Israeli military says that along with other measures, it sends a message of readiness to Israel’s enemies.

“It’s a message that says Israel is better prepared. It’s a message that says Israel is improving the response to threats,” said Brig. Gen. Zvika Haimovich, the commander of Israel’s aerial defense.

The base is located within an existing Israeli air force base and will operate under Israeli military directives.

Israeli and U.S. military officials cut a ribbon at the base Monday, where the American and Israeli flags flew side by side and soldiers from both countries commingled.

DACA creeps biting the hand that feeds:

It’s all about THEM! Divas and narcissists. I hope they keep it up and then Democrats will help the Republicans run out the 6 month clock to get rid of them. If these are the best and the brightest of the Dreamers, and the group that filed the lawsuit claiming Trump is inconveniencing them which includes a lawyer and a medical student, then higher principles such as rule of law and national sovereignty will be forever beyond their understanding and they are probably not citizen material. How dare the minority leader of the US House of Representatives meet and talk to the US President! LOL.

  53. These DACA protestors actually got me mad. I’ve seen so much bullcrap in 2017 stuff barely gets me mad. This got me mad. I get less mad at the rioters. I think I am losing my rationality or my objectivity. I’d really like Sessions to show a pulse and fight back on the mayhem. I am usually pretty chill and I am extremely frustrated with this mess…

  54. I am your typical American Dad who just wants to give his wife and two kids a better life. I never get mad as I believe all politicians are just theatre anyway. But my patience is pretty shot with all this. I am glad my kids are too young yet. But they will get 7 more years of Trump at the same age I got Reagan. Hopefully this will all chill down so they get a fair reading of the man.
Sorry for the ramble. Venting helps.

  55. Last thing. I’ve been reading since before the 08 election. The most regrettable thing is the posters who no longer come on. I’d love to see Thier take on how the Dems have morphed into what they have become. Moon was fun. Shadow was fun. The Uncle raising his nice was especially thoughtful. ABM90. Grape. The whole bunch of them. All very very thoughtful. Shame.

  56. NJLurker2,

I miss them, too. I’m registered as a Republican, but I am in name only. I could say I am a Trump Republican, I believe we are being called Trumpublicans. The Democratic Party I belonged to, is no more. Lost, I am so lost. Trump is the only game in town that is not a suicide. Beyond survival, I do not know that I have a sense of belonging. We shall see.

  57. Lu, lost is still really good word. The way I look at it, a wise person once said that if you are stuck in a snake pit, you don’t care who gives you a stick. Well Lu, Trump is giving people like you and I who have been cast off like trash a stick. So I suggest we use the stick as its the last one likely to be given.
Me, I am in deep blue NJ. My vote does not cout here much. But I think I will find a way to volunteer this election for the first time.

  58. …and NJLurker, Lu, Gonzo, Tony…and the rest of us fine, common sense people here…that stick being given to us looks pretty good…sure, some rough edges & missteps…but still the best stick in town

Would you rather have the people below running the show…these immature people that only know how to waste valuable time with nonsense…

or these spoiled brats running wild in the streets getting high & destroying businesses for the fun of it while pretending to know or care about doing anything to make anything better…

or like the people influenced by the self indulgent, ignorant, self centered, selfish ‘group thinkers’ that clapped on cue for divisive hate speech last night at the Emmys…the likes of Jane Fonda & her sidekick going for the cheapest shots against the President of the USA…

    no thanks…

our guy is fighting against all the odds…and still standing & just beginning…

California state tax dollars at work.

finally, as each day goes by Hillary gets worse & worse…the woman is losing her mind in her own bubble…she belongs with the Hollywood make-believe pretenders

  59. Thanks I like to think I am a common sense person. What I don’t get is how people have not evolved as they have seen things unfold. Yes, you will always have progressives, but the old school dems should have all bolted by now. I am 45 so I did not see the 60’s and was too young to understand the ’70s. I don’t understand how people are still fighting those same issues. The zeitgeist seems different to me now.

  60. After watching bits and pieces of Nancy’s shindig marketing ploy rollout and virtue signaling extravaganza which went sideways and completely freaked her out, the Dreamers are on to her. Cheap votes, cheap labor, and marketing fodder is all they are. The “children” lost patience with a dib and dab approach to rigging rules and nibbling at the edges to let the “deserving and tiny children without Mexican passports in”. They want full on Reconquista with a side of ethnic cleansing. It is very reminiscent of Merkel opening the borders of Europe and the Soros’ Muslim hordes not being satisfied with that either. Soros backed “community organizers” want it all and the onslaught on Democrats will commence. No schmoozing with that guy Trump if you are dating we Dreamers! Trump has caused major panic in the illegal “community”, they are very poor at gaming out or cause and effect, they don’t trust Nancy Queen of California, and excuses such as “they can’t deport ALL of you!” doesn’t sound so calming any longer. Something set them off to go at her like this. I would guess targeted deportations with a quick dump over the border. In California and Texas mostly then they can’t get back in. And the wall getting appropriations with no Dem pushback in Congress because it is useless. Throwing DACA back to Congress is working! Lucky Trump.

  61. Why would the Secret Service allow Hillary to sit in a Costco surrounded by forklifts and tall stacks of merchandise where she could be crushed or mobbed or something? Did I just answer my own question? OK. Why would Costco let their warehouse stores be a visual joke? Whose idea was this? “What Happened” and a 24 pack of green beans.

  62. The sad boy at Ga Tech is a lesson to parents who send kids off to college who may have problems. As a father who sent three to college you don’t turn them loose. We did all kinds of things to keep tabs on them while at school and hundreds of miles from home. Ours did plenty of dumb stuff but we were lucky and most of it was the usual growing up with fits and starts. I feel for the parents of this troubled and very bright young person. But colleges are not parents nor parental substitutes. Colleges used to send students who showed signs of mental illness home to get treatment and supervision and care with the proviso that they could return. Why isn’t this done any longer? Why is this dangerous behavior being normalized and tolerated to the detriment of young people? Enabling bizarre delusional behavior like demanding the use of manipulative pronouns is a symptom and not a skill-set colleges should teach nor tolerate.
