Turkey Shoot: The CACA #DACA Repeal By @RealDonaldTrump Is Genius

Update II: Schlonged!!! The Art of the Schlong! At the beginning of the week Paul Ryan lieutenant Kevin McCarthy announced there would be no BORDER WALL funding in the GOP establishment plans for any legislation passed this month. “We’ve got a lot of busy things happening here,” McCarthy said. “We have to deal with Harvey, we have the debt ceiling, we have a continuing resolution, which will be just about a three-month continuing resolution. So you will deal with the wall a little later in the year.” In other words, no funding for the elemental President Trump campaign promise of a BORDER WALL!

On Wednesday, Paul Ryan, King of the Ant-Trump RINO GOP Establishment, denounced the idea of a three month extension on the debt ceiling as “ridiculous and disgraceful.”

Paul Ryan and the GOP establishment made all sorts of grand promises early in 2017 of how they would get ObamaCare repeal done and all sorts of other President Trump promises passed – by August! It would all be done we were told early this year. It would all be done, don’t worry about it, lots of time to do it all, we have weeks set aside in case things are slower than anticipated, we’ll get it done, yeah, we’ll get it all done and get our agenda passed. The problems are that their agenda is not the Trump Agenda. The problems are all the promises have not come to pass. More promises of getting border wall funding or what they call “border security measures” which means no border wall funding sometime later – will never happen if it is left up to these back-stabbing passive aggressive weaklings.

President Trump knows he is dealing with treacherous establishment liars and users. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell along with the rest of the GOP establishment lie to the voters to get elected and they thought they could do the same to President Trump. But President Trump understands what kind of treacherous creatures he is dealing with:

Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, the GOP establishment thought they could passively aggressive beat President Trump in the art of the deal. Then President Trump schlonged them all, as we predicted in our article below.

President Trump made a better deal with cryin’ Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelousy. It was right out of the Bill Clinton triangulation playbook. President Trump schlonged the GOP establishment. President Trump used cryin’ Chuck and Pelousy to schlong Paul Ryno and the GOP establishment. Big Media and the schlonged tried to claim that President Trump was used by the Obama Dimocrats. To the contrary, President Trump let everyone know he will get his way one way or the other.

President Trump is in Art of the Deal mode. President Trump will even say sweet things about “dreamers” to get his way with cryin’ Chuck and Pelousy. President Trump said sweet things about Ryno and Ditch when they promised to get things done. Now President Trump will say sweet things about cryin’ Chuck and Pelousy if only to strike terror in the hearts of the GOP establishment.

President Trump wants to get things done. Paul Ryno and in the Ditch Mitch lied to President Trump about how hard they would work to get the Trump Agenda passed as they pretended their agenda was the Trump Agenda. Paul Ryno, in the Ditch Mitch, and the rest of the GOP congress instead of working hard went on vacation. Weeks of vacation. They got nothing done for President Trump as they had promised weekly since the beginning of the year. Paul Ryno and in the Ditch Mitch did in fact get a lot done – they blocked President Trump at every turn. So they rewarded themselves with many weeks of vacation.

Paul Ryno and in the Ditch Mitch thought they could keep on getting nothing done and then at the last moment go to President Trump and once again tell him “this is the best we can do so you better sign it” as they present garbage bills for the President’s signature without any border WALL funding. But instead President Trump schlonged them all.

With the three month extension of the debt limit and the passage of hurricane relief aid President Trump has placed congress in the position of getting work done or missing their Christmas vacation. They still have to repeal ObamaCare. They still have to pass tax reform not just tax cuts. There’s a lot of work to do. There’s a filibuster to get rid of too. If these treacherous manipulators want to go on vacation they will have to do what President Trump wants. They now know that President Trump will not stand like a doofus as they get nothing done on the Trump Agenda.

Tonight President Trump will host a dinner. On the menu is Paul Ryno. “Street fighter” Steve Bannon is laughing at the RINOs.

Update: Anyone who doubts our analysis that today’s caca DACA dump is a war by President Donald J. Trump against the GOP establishment Swamp should listen to what spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders repeatedly stated at today’s White House Press briefing:

Sarah said it repeatedly at every opportunity that presented itself: “I don’t think the American people elected congress to do things that were easy. They elected them to make a government that works. To work properly and to work for the American people. That’s their job! If they can’t do it then they need to get out of the way and let somebody who can take on the heavy lift and get things accomplished!” In other words, do what President Trump wants or in 2018 “You’re Fired!!!!!!!!!”

Get out of the way and let somebody who can do the job get the job.

——————————————————————

The final nail on the Jeff Flake coffin is in. Ditto for Paul Ryan and the rest of the GOP establishment Swamp swill.

As for the nightmare “dreamers”, years ago we warned them not to sign up for flim-flam con man Barack Obama’s unconstitutional lie because they would be surrendering their personal information willingly. Let’s sniff this DACA caca and let’s start with the dopey “dreamers” who believed in Barack Obama.

Not only did the dopeey “dreamers” turn over all their personal information and location to the federal government, they did so knowing full well that (1) DACA could be repealed at any time, and; (2) that the information they provided to the federal government could be used to kick them out at any time; (3) that they were so informed in documents they signed to obtain DACA status; and (4) because by the act of applying for DACA exemption they confessed they were in the USA illegally!

The Obama Dimocrats lied to the “dreamers” in the same way the GOP establishment lied to the voters. The liars will be punished starting with the GOP liars. In six months, at the height of primary season, GOP liars who vowed to get rid of DACA when they did not think that was possible (before Trump) but now want to save DACA – will have to face the voters. It will be a beautiful nuclear bomb that will drop on their lying heads.

The extra added attraction to all this is that President Trump is for all intents and purposes irrelevant to the destruction of DACA. DACA is and always has been unconstitutional. The courts declared the parent amnesty DAPA to be unconstitutional. The initial lawsuit which we wrote about declared “This lawsuit is not about immigration. It is about the rule of law, presidential power, and the structural limits of the U.S. Constitution. ”

We wrote about Judge Hanen and those cases extensively. Read this prescient analysis we wrote on the day the lawsuit against DAPA was filed:

Illegal immigrants are not stupid. Few will risk trust in Obama when faced with the fact that Obama’s cheesy political ploy will expire once Obama is out of office. Even fewer illegal immigrants will trust Obama’s illegal illegal executive action now that they know that there are lawsuits which challenge Obama’s illegal illegal immigration executive diktat.

Illegal immigrants are canny and play their cards very close to the vest. Illegal immigrants are not about to expose themselves to potential deportation based on what Boob Obama for the moment says or does. Just like American citizens, foreign leaders, children, dogs, and anyone with a lick of sense, illegal immigrants know:

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his foes. Obama cannot be trusted.

Illegal immigrants will now wait to see how these lawsuits play out before they raise their heads into a potential trap of whack-a-mole. Illegal immigrants will do a cost/benefit analysis and see that potentially they are putting their names into a deportation list if they rely on Obama’s word.

Illegal immigrants will also understand that by staying quiet until things play out in the courts and in 2016 they can watch and wait from their ensconced positions and not put themselves at risk – they will be no worse off and in less danger if things go badly for them in the courts or in the electoral arena. Obama and activists like Gutiérrez, who are in no danger, will exhort illegals to put themselves out to danger but illegal immigrants will not endanger themselves for the benefit of Obama and the Obama Dimocrat activists.

As it turns out the illegal immigrants who believed in Obama and Obama Dimocrats who used them as political fodder turned out to be most stupid. They signed up for DACA. They gave all their information and locations to the federal government. Why? The dolts believed Big Media and Obama Dimocrats who told them the Obama Dimocrat Reich would last for a thousand years. It didn’t. It’s dead.

What happened instead is that Judge Hanen ruled for the rule of law and against that weasel Obama. The Kraken was unleashed. After an appeal, the Fifth Circuit spoke in support of the rule of law too.

Eventually, the lawsuit against DAPA ended in a 4-4 Supreme Court decision which left the Fifth Circuit decision in place meaning the Obama executive diktat was thrown out and the rule of law prevailed. Now though, if dolts such as the New York State Governor have their way and file a lawsuit against the rule of law, Justice Gorsuch will provide the fifth vote to destroy DACA as DAPA was destroyed – so all the plots and schemes by Obama Dimocrats will end in defeat.

The Cuomo threat is no threat at all. It is a gift to President Trump. If Obama Dimocrat Cuomo sues in court, he will lose the case at the Supreme Court and precedent will hold on the rule of law and against illegal immigration.

The lawsuit that will meet success is the promise from state attorneys general to sue in court if DACA is not ended. Judge Hanen sits waiting in Brownsville with his pen in hand.

President Trump knows all this so he devised a trap to get rid of the liars in the GOP such as Jeff Flake. It’s the Art of the Deal in hyper-drive.

In six months we will all be in primary season. Republicans running for reelection or those seeking nomination to run as a Republican for the House or Senate will have to say whether they are for illegal immigration amnesty via a congressional DACA. Opponents of illegal immigration amnesty will have a turkey shoot of RINOs not seen since the “great Marianas Turkey shoot” during World War II.

Today, President Donald J. Trump, via Attorney General Jeff Sessions, pulled the plug on the Swamp. The Swamp swill will gurgle down the drain come primary season. This purge of the GOP establishment is the way to #DrainTheSwamp. Thank the dumbass illegal immigrants who believed in Obama for this anti-Swamp success.

  1. Jobs for Americans. Hire American:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/04/summer-employers-trump-guest-worker-visas-immigration-242271

Summer employers hired American amid Trump visa squeeze

What happens when guest-worker visas run out?

President Donald Trump’s harsh criticism of immigration programs and Congress’ refusal to lift a cap on work visas meant many seasonal businesses had to hire American this summer — and pay their workers more.

That’s good news for Trump, for U.S. workers, and for supporters of Trump’s “American First” agenda, but business groups complain that increased spending on wages will ultimately cost jobs and sap company profits. Across the country, enterprises ranging from oyster shuckers to landscapers say they were forced to give up contracts and forgo revenue because they just couldn’t find enough workers to do the jobs this summer. [snip]

Trump has blasted programs that allow foreign guest workers to take jobs in the U.S. legally. “Widespread abuse in our immigration system is allowing American workers of all backgrounds to be replaced by workers brought in from other countries to fill the same job for sometimes less pay,” he told workers in Wisconsin in April. “This will stop.”

Big Media is horrified that President Trump got jobs for Americans at higher wages.

  2. That was a very informative and articulate statement from Mr. Sessions. I am grateful for his concern for rule of law, and for upholding the US Constitution.

  3. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/09/05/president-trumps-statement-on-daca.html

The following is a statement issued by President Trump on the administration’s decision to wind down the Obama-era DACA program:

As President, my highest duty is to defend the American people and the Constitution of the United States of America. At the same time, I do not favor punishing children, most of whom are now adults, for the actions of their parents. But we must also recognize that we are nation of opportunity because we are a nation of laws.

The legislative branch, not the executive branch, writes these laws – this is the bedrock of our Constitutional system, which I took a solemn oath to preserve, protect, and defend.

In June of 2012, President Obama bypassed Congress to give work permits, social security numbers, and federal benefits to approximately 800,000 illegal immigrants currently between the ages of 15 and 36. The typical recipients of this executive amnesty, known as DACA, are in their twenties. Legislation offering these same benefits had been introduced in Congress on numerous occasions and rejected each time.

In referencing the idea of creating new immigration rules unilaterally, President Obama admitted that “I can’t just do these things by myself” – and yet that is exactly what he did, making an end-run around Congress and violating the core tenets that sustain our Republic.

Officials from 10 States are suing over the program, requiring my Administration to make a decision regarding its legality. The Attorney General of the United States, the Attorneys General of many states, and virtually all other top legal experts have advised that the program is unlawful and unconstitutional and cannot be successfully defended in court.

There can be no path to principled immigration reform if the executive branch is able to rewrite or nullify federal laws at will.

The temporary implementation of DACA by the Obama Administration, after Congress repeatedly rejected this amnesty-first approach, also helped spur a humanitarian crisis – the massive surge of unaccompanied minors from Central America including, in some cases, young people who would become members of violent gangs throughout our country, such as MS-13.

Only by the reliable enforcement of immigration law can we produce safe communities, a robust middle class, and economic fairness for all Americans.

Therefore, in the best interests of our country, and in keeping with the obligations of my office, the Department of Homeland Security will begin an orderly transition and wind-down of DACA, one that provides minimum disruption. While new applications for work permits will not be accepted, all existing work permits will be honored until their date of expiration up to two full years from today. Furthermore, applications already in the pipeline will be processed, as will renewal applications for those facing near-term expiration. This is a gradual process, not a sudden phase out. Permits will not begin to expire for another six months, and will remain active for up to 24 months. Thus, in effect, I am not going to just cut DACA off, but rather provide a window of opportunity for Congress to finally act.

Our enforcement priorities remain unchanged. We are focused on criminals, security threats, recent border-crossers, visa overstays, and repeat violators. I have advised the Department of Homeland Security that DACA recipients are not enforcement priorities unless they are criminals, are involved in criminal activity, or are members of a gang.

The decades-long failure of Washington, D.C. to enforce federal immigration law has had both predictable and tragic consequences: lower wages and higher unemployment for American workers, substantial burdens on local schools and hospitals, the illicit entry of dangerous drugs and criminal cartels, and many billions of dollars a year in costs paid for by U.S. taxpayers. Yet few in Washington expressed any compassion for the millions of Americans victimized by this unfair system. Before we ask what is fair to illegal immigrants, we must also ask what is fair to American families, students, taxpayers, and jobseekers.

Congress now has the opportunity to advance responsible immigration reform that puts American jobs and American security first. We are facing the symptom of a larger problem, illegal immigration, along with the many other chronic immigration problems Washington has left unsolved. We must reform our green card system, which now favors low-skilled immigration and puts immense strain on U.S. taxpayers. We must base future immigration on merit – we want those coming into the country to be able to support themselves financially, to contribute to our economy, and to love our country and the values it stands for. Under a merit-based system, citizens will enjoy higher employment, rising wages, and a stronger middle class. Senators Tom Cotton and David Perdue have introduced the RAISE Act, which would establish this merit-based system and produce lasting gains for the American People.

I look forward to working with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to finally address all of these issues in a manner that puts the hardworking citizens of our country first.

As I’ve said before, we will resolve the DACA issue with heart and compassion – but through the lawful Democratic process – while at the same time ensuring that any immigration reform we adopt provides enduring benefits for the American citizens we were elected to serve. We must also have heart and compassion for unemployed, struggling, and forgotten Americans.

Above all else, we must remember that young Americans have dreams too. Being in government means setting priorities. Our first and highest priority in advancing immigration reform must be to improve jobs, wages and security for American workers and their families.

    #MAGA

  5. Whaaat????

Virgin Islands Allows National Guard To Seize Guns, Ammo Ahead Of Hurricane Irma

U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp signed an emergency order allowing the seizure of private guns, ammunition, explosives and property the National Guard may need to respond to Hurricane Irma.
Mapp signed the order Monday in preparation for Hurricane Irma. The order allows the Adjutant General of the Virgin Islands to seize private property they believe necessary to protect the islands, subject to approval by the territory’s Justice Department.

Mapp issued an emergency declaration Tuesday and mobilized National Guard units to prepare for the massive storm.

Who is this jamoke taking people’s guns away in the time of emergency? Sounds like an Obama plant to me.

  7. Phil Mudd, a deep state swamp creature, is a seditionist. He is tied in with Brennan, Clapper, Rhoades, etc. He is promoting a coup d etat, and predicting they (criminals in the deep state) will kill the president and arrest the resistance. He is running his mouth on CNN about this. If this happens, he needs to be arrested and prosecuted for the traitor he is.

  8. I feel bad for the kids. I am all for cracking down on illegals but the kids being separated bothers me. I hope exceptions can be made for good families with kids.

    =====================

Please pray for us in Fl as we did for those in Texas.

  9. For some reason this early a.m. I looked at the NYT and the WaPo along with UK papers scanning the news. I don’t subscribe to either the NYT nor the WaPo although I have a login for the Times from a friend but generally I don’t bother. The WaPo has a little about Hurricane Irma but it is mostly Dreamers. The NYT is all Dreamers.

Hurricane Irma is horrendous. What it will do to the Caribbean (including Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands) and Florida and other points it may hit in the US mainland is beyond terrible. As a young teenager I went with my father to check on a summer house owned by dad’s aunt (inherited from her husband’s family) that we used as a summer place and to visit his aunt who spent summers there. It was 1969, it was Hurricane Camille and there was no longer an old summerhouse in Bay St Louis. All that was left was a pipe to a bathtub on the second floor and some cement steps to the back door. And a couple of dead and very large oak trees. Storm surge and wind. This was weeks after the storm. My very cool headed father was shaken. Complete devastation and he got me out of there. We drove straight back to Texas. None of our family was there during the storm so it was just a financial loss for his aunt.

The NYT’s choice of journalism in today’s online version of the paper says a lot about the world view of that newspaper and none of it is good. As “citizens of the world” rather than a US newspaper they are more concerned with foreign citizens than fellow citizen Floridians or any other citizens in this storm’s terrible path. These illegal alien foreign Dreamers are not facing immediate deportation, or even a disruption of the largess they enjoy, expect, and demand in the US. The “morality” of THEIR fiscal and social comfort is all that matters today in the NYT.

Are we citizens supposed to pay for children, young people, fakes, etc forever who were human trafficked by their own parents and country? Are they not thieves taking something from citizens when these forever designated “children” (average age 22 to 25 depending on the source) are old enough to realize they are NOT entitled to be here? And when they DEMAND everything from education dollars to food and housing and government ID to jobs and to voting, are they so morally bankrupt that they do not understand they are taking that from someone else? The parents, cartels, families (breaking up their families at their point of origination) and country that shipped them over are the criminals and thieves and responsible for their situation and should be blamed as “immoral” not us the citizenry of the US who have had to suffer their presence. What burden is too much for the NYT to demand of the US citizenry? Certainly not a devastating hurricane which doesn’t deserve coverage but rather their own moral juxtaposition of who is taking what from who. Dreamers. US citizens apparently don’t have nor are deserving of dreams. How insulting.

  10. Admin does a superb rundown of the circus going on. I have viewed it all as a chess match in the courts until The Donald brought it forward out of the “shame game” run by the progressives and globalists.

While Dreamers are some of the cheap labor that globalists, CoC, big business, Bushites, and GOPe’ers demand, please notice that almost all of the Dreamers interviewed for sob stories are really activist for LaRaza, LULAC, DNC, moochers groups, student radicals, etc. They all say they are NOT leaving. This is not who the US citizens are. How the hell would they know? Dreamers are the spearhead for open borders. None of the interviewed say they are stoop labor in a strawberry field and just want a job. They are community organizers or hustlers. Globalists and all of their factions send out these “Dreamers” to provide what is hoped to be moralistic propaganda to fool the rubes. Not working. The globalists are throwing fits that it is not working. And now Trump has batted it back at them.

The nine states gave the feds a deadline to get rid of the Dreamers. They are tired of paying for them. And their agitating presence. They already won in court over their criminal parents. Was there collusion with the lead litigant state Texas with Trump and Sessions. Almost certainly yes. Why? Timing. The states already had the legal content.

The parents (DAPA) was stuck down by the courts. It was masterfully done using carefully selected jurisdictions (Brownsville district and Fifth circuit) and patiently dealing with a corrupt and dishonest DOJ. They let DOJ hang themselves and they were really shitty lawyers. Then won at the Supremes. Their patience with Trump’s promises (and the bills still accruing for Dreamers) was carefully and publicly stated. A deadline was set. Plus six months by Sessions. And Trump.

What is in six months? Primaries. For illegal immigration loving Congressman and some Senators who virtue signal their concern and attention to foreigners but can’t get budget, tax reform, wall, Obamacare repeal, etc done that affects all the LEGAL citizens. Even a mole living in the ground can see where their priorities are. And who ranks in their hierarchy of importance and it ain’t us.

Under the banner of rule of law, WITH HEART!, Trump set the bastards up both in timing and subject. With a little help from his lawyers Jeff Sessions and Greg Abbott (and Texas Atty Gen Ken Paxton). None of these three attended an Ivy League school for under graduate nor law school. Trump always picks the best lawyers. Now more sad Dreamer La Raza stories.

Another masterpiece of analysis, which I have come to expect from you and is always a pleasure to read.

I have got to believe you are right, that these fucking dreamers are not the vulnerable children we are led to believe by NYT any more that sweet cuddlesome Travon Martin was the precious black child NBC presented, but a troublesome punk and future career criminal with mayhem on his mind.

These children are a Trojan Horse, imported into this country by La Raza and other groups bent on destroying this nation and its traditions. One thing people do not realize is illegals comprise the lions share of the prison population by percentage of population and they consume exactly 37% of the medicaid costs of this nation. Who pays for this? You do, and so do I.

The question of who are we is much on my mind, particularly as I read the WSJ headline for today which says we are more polarized than ever. The reason for this is the cultural Marxists and globalists have shanghaied our institutions, and are turning out a generation of robots. Simultaneously we learn that Silicon Valley has surpassed Wall Steet the largest contributor to the Senate, and he who pays the piper calls the tune. Silcon Valley denisons are the quintessential globalists, keen on destroying the nation so they can control the world. In the end however, as Elon Musk points out the artificial intelligence they are creating will prove to be their undoing.

When I ask who are we, the question is not original. There is a book by that title by Sam Hunnington, who recounts the fact that this nation was settled by English speaking people who brought with them the traditions of limited government, the rights of man, the protestant religion, family etc. And while future generations did not bring those same traditions with them, over time they assimilated and acclimated to them. Today however with massive illegal immigration and record shattering legal immigration, those traditions are being stripped from our culture and worms like the tinniey weenie yellow pokadot bikin Harvard trained Hawaiian indeologue and Orek the vaccum cleaner man, who pretend to be judges, and wormwood John Roberts march to the globalist agenda, and distort the consitution because they can. Meanwhile that Neandrathal dummy from Minnesota seeks to strip Trump of the power to get his judges through congress—he is as stupid and ugly on the outside as he is on the inside. He is Senator sicko./

  12. Have you noticed how Senators who are not that bright tend to reject the complexities of the legislative process in favor of being obstructionists? McCain is not very smart and his status of anchor man in the USNA class attests to that. Meanwhile the Neandrathal man for Minnesota who fell on his sword trying to match wits with Judge Gorsech during the confirmation hearing is guilty of the same offense. If you cannot be constructive, be constructive nd people will assume you are smarter than you are. That senator would see what an embarrassment he is if he would only look in the mirror, but like Bela Lagosi of yore he has an aversion to mirrors, and in both cases it is perfectly understandable.

  13. Re: Irma
As far as BM’s coverage of Irma, they are already ticked off because they had to sideline Russia & all anti-Trump news because of Harvey…and now comes along Irma to steal more of their precious print & air time to attack Trump & plant more ‘anonymous sources’ stories…hard to do that when the attention of the country is on basic survival of human beings that are Americans

As for those of us in its path, it is akin to getting whiplash…last night I read that horrible article I posted & then watched some TV that showed Irma going up the coast on the Gulf side so I calmed down (even though I have worries for family on that side) then I woke up this morning & the path had changed and moved to be coming up the East coast side & as of now targeting Miami as a Cat 4
It will be interesting to see how many more variations there will be until estimated landfall on late Sat early Sun…

    *******************************************

re: the dreamers…so true, how they demand what they want…twitter is replete with video clips of the kids giving the USA & Americans the finger, burning our flag, hoisting up the Mexican flag & swearing at us; also dreamers who post how they have scammed our system & made $$$
yesterday I was listening to a program on the radio & heard a legal immigrant say that she knows of many illegals who use our system & then have second homes in other countries, etc…just another dirty little secret , like the illegal use of SS numbers, that the Dems and FBI must know about

My idea is that the GOP should attach Kate’s Law to the reform of DACA law & force Dems to choose or pit one against the other…just where are the loyalties of the Dems? Are they concerned for the safety of the American people or not? Passing a compromise on both should be considered

Also, if these “children” are now 25-30 years old and have been here since they were kids & have jobs, been educated, all the good things their supporters say then all benefits should be stopped…why are they entitled to benefits Americans are denied by virtue of being here illegally? and they should not be allowed to commit crimes & getting free passes to get away with it

I just saw an article that say Wake Forest College will continue to give $$$ to illegal immigrant students
My niece went to Wake Forest, she didn’t get special treatment…she had to earn everything she achieved (she is now first year resident)

Somewhere, somehow America is being stolen right before our eyes and with the cooperation of the Democratic party

  14. Looks like Florida will probably be ok @ this point JB, hope it continues to hang a Left …out into the Atlantic

  15. McCain: a war hero? No. Congressman Sam Johnson was shot down and detained at the Hanoi Hilton. He sponsored a bill I wrote, so I know him a little. They tortured Sam, but they never broke him. Sam is a hero. McCain is a victim. Would I do any better than McCain did under that kind of duress? If I did not, I would never call myself a war hero, much less run on a political platform that I was something I was not. Who then is John McCain? A victim yes. A war hero no. That said, you can see how the truth in Trump’s statement that he prefers heroes who are not captured, and by implication confess, would drive McCain over the edge. He was never that stable to begin with, up to and including now.
    ———
His North Vietnamese captors beat the man they had dubbed “the Crown Prince” for four days until McCain finally confessed that he was a “black criminal” and an “air pirate.”

“They were the worst two weeks of my life. I couldn’t rationalize away my confession. I was ashamed. I felt faithless, and couldn’t control my despair. I shook, as if my disgrace were a fever. I kept imagining that they would release my confession to embarrass my father. All my pride was lost, and I doubted I would ever stand up to any man again. Nothing could save me. No one would ever look upon me again with anything but pity or contempt.”

McCain further recalled in the book that, “One night I either heard or dreamed I heard myself confessing over the loudspeakers, thanking the Vietnamese for receiving medical treatment I did not deserve.”

It appears that the North Vietnamese used McCain’s voice in Radio Hanoi propaganda broadcasts transmitted into South Vietnam, too. A UPI news story with a Saigon dateline published June 6, 1969, in the newspaper Stars and Stripes carried the headline, “Tape Has McCain’s Son Praising Red Doctors.” It was part of a series of broadcasts that UPI speculated were responses to then-U.S. Defense Secretary Melvin Laird, who had been making an issue of POW conditions.

  16. Including the RAISE Act in any new immigration legislation will address/eliminate “chain immigration.” I also hope they clarify/rescind “anchor” baby status as part of this plus include a tax on repatriations to pay for the wall. Stepped up e-verify requirements, crackdowns on identify thefts, etc., there’s a lot of good that could go into a comprehensive bill if Congress has the will to address it fully and not just rubber stamp “dreamers” which I am concerned is what they are going to do.

  17. Abbie, there will be no legislation on DACA because Republicans will be terrified to defy their voters during primary season. PDT has set the trap.

    As to the illegals:

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/349359-trump-admin-talking-points-daca-recipients-should-prepare-to-leave-us

The Trump administration is advising beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program to “prepare for and arrange their departure from the United States,” ABC News reported Tuesday.

Talking points distributed to GOP lawmakers and obtained by ABC News say that DACA recipients should use their remaining time in the U.S. to get their affairs in order, after President Trump rescinded the program Tuesday.

The Department of Homeland Security urges DACA recipients to use the time remaining on their work authorizations to prepare for and arrange their departure from the United States – including proactively seeking travel documentation – or to apply for other immigration benefits for which they may be eligible,” the document says.

Multiple sources confirmed the authenticity of the talking points to ABC News.

    ************************************

    Hi Gonzotx
did you see that specifically somewhere re: Irma hanging a left

reason I ask is we are getting so much conflicting info down here…for ex, last night it was on the gulf, this morning when the day started it was on the Atlantic side & they were having mandatory evacuation for Miami

then later in the day, they said mandatory evacuation for Broward if you live by the beach

then the mayor of Miami said no mandatory evacuations bec storm is slowing
the all the mid day advisories basically said it was going to hug the SE atlantic coast
the only thing I did hear was one hurricane guy said it would hit Miami then go out to the ocean at Ft Lauderdale, then come back into landfall I think at Georgia
personally I would like to hear some good news before I start packing & packing & evacuating & the whole nightmare

just heard they expect mandatory evac for Miami tomorrow

    so please shout it out…

btw…no gas & no water…and I talked to family members on the Gulf in Naples and same thing No gas at all & no water…
so don’t believe the bit about being so prepared…no gas, no water, how can you be prepared without gas & water? and drive out in an evacuation (thankfully I did it all on Monday)

  19. Sorry S, I meant hang right, out to the Atlantic, I will try to find my source.
Taking care of a colicky 6 week old, it’s been 30 years, now I really understand why youth must be served… babies that is lol

  20. S

Glad you left, my daughter did too with her 4 week old, at the time.

It’s still insane down in SE Texas water waist high in Orange County, which was right next to her, a lot of flooding still going on because they have had to let it flow from the levees and damns…I have pictures of snakes in people’s garages and HUGE Tarantula’s !!!!!

  21. I like most people have mixed emotions about DACA

If you were 2 years old and brought here, this is the only Country you know, and if you are a productive person, not on welfare, no other legal problems, I think we have to let them stay, but I also believe that they must obtain citizenship, no permanent green card BS.
And if they or family own housing in another Country and are receiving any monetary benefits, they have to go.

  22. And yes it has to end, we can’t have a repeat this year, next year, ten years from now. We protect our borders, we honor our Constitution.
People must know there will be no chance of staying and that they will be sent back.
Maybe I am naive in my previous statements on this subject and thinking we can stem the flow non the less.
My biggest fear is when Trump is gone and we end up with another globalist, the gates of hell on our borders will happen, worse than before and we are truly Europe.

  23. It’s still insane down in SE Texas water waist high in Orange County, which was right next to her, a lot of flooding still going on because they have had to let it flow from the levees and damns…I have pictures of snakes in people’s garages and HUGE Tarantula’s !!!!!

  25. The illegality here is two fold:

    1. Obama’s actions were illegal

    2. The parents actions were likewise illegal.

    3. The cumulative effect costs taxpayers a trillion dollars.

    4. Let NYT and WashPo cover the expense since they favor DACA,

  26. I have been doing hurricane prep for Irma because, yes, it is tracking to hit around Miami and run up the coast. Some models show it slightly offshore. That would be fine with me. But the only thing that is going to slow this monster down, is land. The most reliable info can be found at NOAA and I also like

  27. Truth is Eisenhower and his “wetback” program saved us 60 years ago, uprooted 5 million Hispanics and marched them back across the Southern border;
    Yet they kept coming back…
The lest thing we need is a fence.

And I think since 37% of our prisons are filled with illegals , if we can prove they are from another country , I think they should be made to pay, one way or another

  30. Democratic congressional leaders announced Wednesday that they had reached a deal with President Trump in an Oval Office meeting to pass hurricane relief funding this week, along with measures to push off pressing fiscal deadlines to December — over the apparent objections of Republican leaders.
    —————
Ryan was dead set against this deal—wanted an 18 month deal to put the issue beyond the midterms. Trump defied Eddie Munster and made the deal with the dims, which is perfect. The devil you know is better than the devil you get, and given the choice between dealing with a democrat or a rino like Ryan or McConnell, I would hold my nose and do the deal with the dims. Ryan and McConnell are devious and will stab him in the back every time. Ryan is reportedly involved in a plot to take down Trump so Pence moves up to president and Eddie becomes vp. Whether or not that is true, there can be little doubt that this is the game Ryan is playing.

  31. It seems John Kerry’s father, a Harvard man, committed suicide in a public restroom at the Copley hotel in Boston. Perhaps he realized what a stuffed prick elitist globalist young John would turn out to be and could no longer face the world because of it. Years later, Larry Craig would commit suicide in a public bathroom as well.
    —————

    Richard Kerry – Wikipedia
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Kerry
Richard John Kerry (July 28, 1915 – July 29, 2000) was an American Foreign Service officer and lawyer. He was the father of politicians John Kerry and Cameron Kerry. … on November 23, walked into a washroom of the Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston and committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a handgun.

  32. Then again maybe–just maybe he committed suicide because he hit the glass ceiling. In foggy bottom, i.e. a Harvard degree is not the coin of the realm it is in other venues, like the judiciary where it has a monopoly. In foggy bottom, i.e. the State Department, you really need to have gone to Princeton. Exner Academy, Harvard and Skull and Bones is not enough. You have got to be a Princeton Tiger, or you are nothing.

  33. Then again, maybe he did not realize it was loaded. Or perhaps he was loaded. Oh hell, I think I will stick to the first rendition. He could not bear the thought of having a warped son like John, who threw his medals against the wall, and married the Mad Woman of Boston Teresa Hines, before John Heins body was cold and in the ground. That is one of the uglier sides of the sceptered race who went to Harvard, they are opportunistic and obsessed with money.

  34. Irma still on track for the east coast of Florida. I’m about 80 miles north of Miami and 10 south off Maralago. So I guess PDT is battening down his hatches, too. He is closer to the water, of course so tidal surge is an issue for him. My brother who lives in a similar zone, has evacuated. He wanted to argue with me about probabilities and I told him to forget that and RUN.

Maybe it will stay off coast and be a big nothingburger.

Abbie, there will be no legislation on DACA because Republicans will be terrified to defy their voters during primary season. PDT has set the trap.

Nope. And they walked right into the trap and it is sinking in. A few trial balloons are being sent out to rationalize why and cover their asses with the donors. This one floats fake stats and blames the “system”. http://theweek.com/articles/722734/why-congress-wont-save-daca
The “system” of course is elections. Which they don’t like because voters should not be allowed to decide anything about donors profits which taxpayers are required ideally to subsidize. The big one was last November where voters said NO ILLEGALS Mr Trump. It doesn’t matter how many rigged opinion polls are propagandized the only POLL that matters is at the ballot box. You would think they would understand push polls don’t work any longer. Republicans and smart Dems do not want to run on this. They don’t want to be asked will you be voting for Open Border Ryan for Speaker. Or why do you want to provide a free or heavily taxpayer subsidized college education for loud, radical, aggressive, demanding illegal aliens when there are 1.5 million US citizen children (who are really minor children and not adults posing as disadvantaged) who are homeless and have no lobby shop or Zuckerberg interviewing them in his home for a greater understanding for his profits?

Trump ran and won at least partially on this issue. Jeb lost his ass on this issue. Republicans know it. No one who does not directly profit from illegals is going to stick their neck out for demanding, loud ingrates who challenge our culture of rule of law. Virtue signaling (empty moralism without a price nor any sacrifice for it) will slowly fizzle out. The public is going to be fed up to the gills of them and their (and their parents) endless self inflicted problems and demands. And Trump’s memo telling Dreamers to prepare to exist the United States shows courtesy to them and that he expects Congress to do nothing. No fake promises or pie in the sky kids you’re leaving. All of Trump’s post DACA decision statements and tweets show “strategic ambiguity” as Scott Adams calls it. Trump is goading Congress to cut their own throats.

  36. One of the great lessons and opportunities for exposure in this whole DACA/illegal alien issue is who and who isn’t for the Rule of Law. Advocating or demanding special treatment for entire classes of people who will not follow law is very illuminating. Harvard professor Tribe doesn’t believe in the rule of law. Neither does Gov Cuomo nor his state attorney general and is willing to sue the federal government to NOT follow the rule of law. The entire state government of California doesn’t. Kasich doesn’t. Some people can break law with impunity and others can’t. They ALL need to be asked why the rest of us can’t break laws with impunity if those laws are against our immediate interests. And “feelings” is not an answer. It is shameful that some of the biggest advocates of law breaking are legal scholars or chief enforcers in executive positions such as governors.

  38. Sacramento Appeasers Pay Gang Members To Not Kill People

By Katy Grimes —— Bio and Archives September 6, 2017

“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”—Winston Churchill

While President Donald Trump has vowed that United States authorities will “destroy” the gang MS-13 as part of his crackdown on crime, the Sacramento City Council voted unanimously last week to pay gang members $1.5 Million to not kill people.

The controversial program the city plans to adopt, Advance Peace, claims it “interrupts gun violence in U.S. urban neighborhoods by providing transformational opportunities” to gang members involved in weapons offenses… paying them not to terrorize and kill people. The program, backed by the mega-Draper, Richards, Kaplan Foundation, was only founded in 2016 and first implemented by DeVone Boggan, a “Social Justice” warrior. His bio says he was the founding Director of Richmond’s Office of Neighborhood Safety from 2007 to 2016. Richmond has one of the highest violent crime rates in the nation, and earned the reputation as one of the most dangerous cities in America during that time. “The program is funded through combination of government money and private donation,” Fox40 reported. “A third of the program’s costs, which goes toward evaluations and training, comes from the government.”

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, the former Democrat Senate President Pro Tem of the California State Legislature, requested the vote in response to a shooting in Sacramento’s Meadowview park, which left one person dead and four injured, Fox 40 reported. The city council vote was scheduled to take place in two weeks, but Steinberg moved it up. “Let’s get going on doing everything we can to save innocent lives,” Steinberg told Fox 40. The City Council voted unanimously to approve the scheme, rather than spending the $1.5 million to beef up Sacramento police department gang units.

Steinberg has an extraordinary record and has done more to harm Sacramento and its residents during his tenure as Senate Pro Tem than perhaps any legislator in history. He’s in the pockets of the unions, actively hostile towards democratic rights and open government, and is a doctrinaire hard-core left-winger. He is proving to be an utter catastrophe for Sacramento. Steinberg supported all of the gun control measures while in the Legislature, including increasing the depth of background checks on gun purchasers and all ammunition purchases, outlawing “assault rifles,” which aren’t actual assault rifles, and all of the other anti-gun bills violating our Second Amendment rights. Yet Steinberg thinks it’s a good idea to pay gang members not to kill people.

    It’ll Never Work…
Office of Neighborhood Safety is “kind of on their own track and we’re on ours,” Richmond Police Officer Ben Therriault told ABC News in 2016. “I don’t know what they’re doing on the street level.” The ABC News story featured gang member Dawaun Rice who had “earned” the maximum amount available under the Advance Peace program for “choosing not to shoot,” but updated the article after Rice was charged with the murder of 29-year-old Javonte Prothro.

Compounding the issue, if the gang members involved are MS-13 (Mara Salvatrucha), a trans-national criminal gang that originated in El Salvador and has expanded to the United States, Canada and Mexico, this strategy will fail. These El Salvador imports are in the U.S. thanks to former President Barack Obama’s disastrous open borders immigration policy during his second term. They are brutal and violent, and should not be paid to not kill; they should be imprisoned or deported. There is no compromise with these violent domestic terrorists.

“Advance Peace may also soon find its way to Sacramento,” Fox40 reported August 22, ahead of the city council vote. “Boggan says Sacramento city officials have been “assertive” in their pursuit of the program, showing that Steinberg already had this scheme in the works. “How bad has gun violence gotten in Sacramento, Calif.?” Fox40 asked. “City leaders now plan to pay gang members $1.5 million for a cease-fire.”

  39. ACE doesn’t see DT’s recent decisions the same

On the home front, President Trump snubbed the GOP wing of the Deep State and dealt directly with its masterminds. He yucked it up with his new BFFs Nancy and Chuck to plunge the nation deeper into society-destroying debt in exchange for a few crumbs for Harvey relief. But wait! There’s more! Now that DACA has been kicked down the road for six months, there’s still zero funding for the border wall. AND, as an extra special bonus, ol’ Chuck is demanding that full-fledged Amnesty be passed and that he’s going to tie it to every piece of legislation going forward. Someone please remind me again about the results of every down-ticket election since 2010.

If you read Ann Coulter’s column, it’s obvious that it was written perhaps a few days ago. I’m sure she must be pleased with the turn of events (sarc). I realize that Donald Trump is a “deal-maker” and that he’s supposedly not a political animal. But he rode a tidal wave of anger and got elected by millions of people who want to see the planned dissolution of America by unchecked immigration stopped. Much of that electorate also wants to see the Federal government defunded and defanged, but it seems that he does not seem to get that part. Some of his instincts have been great and yet he appears tone deaf to the real state of the union. If the GOP is stonewalling your agenda, do you think you’re going to score points by sucking up to the Democrats?! I can’t guarantee that what happened would not have occurred had Bannon and all the other outsiders not been purged. But it is happening and those that are surrounding him are the insiders that PDT railed and ran against. Oh well.

  40. I saw that article Wbb and it’s so appalling as to be from some science fiction reel.

Using money that should be to beef up the police to payoff gang members, who would have thought this possible in America?

California is lost, but I don’t see it ending there.

‘You Have Nothing to Worry About’ — Nancy Pelosi Prompts Donald Trump Tweet to DACA Illegals

President Donald Trump continued to signal support for illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children who received executive amnesty from former President Obama’s DACA program.
“For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about – No action!” Trump wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

Politico reporter Heather Caygle noted on Twitter that a source told her that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called Trump to ask him to tweet the message of hope for DACA kids.

Axios reporter Alexi McCammond confirmed the news from a Democratic aide.

New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman offered further illumination about Pelosi’s role in Trump’s message.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed to White House reporters that Trump did speak with Pelosi as well as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan.

“The President is committed to working across the aisle and doing what is needed to best serve the American people,” Sanders continued. “The President is also having dinner with Speaker Ryan later tonight.”

After Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the administration’s decision to end DACA, Trump stressed that he fully supports taking care of DACA recipients.

He repeatedly urged Congress on Wednesday to send him a bill to legalize DACA recipients permanently.

“I’d like to see a permanent deal, and I think it’s going to happen,” he said to reporters on Wednesday. “I think we’re going to have great support from both sides of Congress.”

Most Awkward Dinner Ever: Trump To Dine With Ryan Day After Siding With Dems On Debt Ceiling

President Donald Trump will host Speaker Paul Ryan at the White House residence Thursday evening, according to the president’s daily schedule, the day after Trump took a deal that may favor the Democrats on debt ceiling negotiations.

Trump met with congressional leaders of both parties Wednesday, and decided to back a three-month lift of the debt ceiling, combined with funding for Hurricane Harvey relief and a continuing resolution to fund the government. The plan was pitched by New York Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, upsetting both Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

House Speaker Paul Ryan is furious,” Axios reported Thursday, citing to a person very close to him. Ryan said the Democrat’s idea for combining Harvey aid, the debt ceiling increase and temporary budgeting “ridiculous” and “unworkable” earlier Wednesday.

If only Hors d’Oeuvres could talk!

  47. Rose: You will not be attacking Donald Trump?

Charlie Rose, like most others in the media, seems to have misunderstood Bannon’s reasons for resigning and are disappointed that he (Bannon) won’t be trashing Trump via Breitbart, as they expected him to do.

    Looking forward to Sunday’s interview.

Trump gave the RINOs their chance and they openly broke 7 years worth of promises on repeal & replace, they slow walked his nominees, stalled his agenda and undermined him both to the press and with their ridiculous “investigations” that they know are built on lies. Heck last month prominent members of the GOP were defending Antifa in order to call Trump a Nazi! Now they’re back from vacation and they not only expect loyalty from him, they’re shocked that he ruined their chance to posture on the debt ceiling and let Trump get blame for delayed funding for hurricane victims. LOL F them! Trump knows their game and he just told the feckless GOP he knows.

Under DACA, nearly 800,000 illegal aliens were given temporary protected status and work permits to remain in the United States. Experts have told Breitbart Texas that during the Obama Administration, background screening was lax.

In an interview with LifeZette, former USCIS manager of the agency’s investigative unit, Matt O’Brien, alleged that the fraud rate for DACA is roughly “40 to 50 percent” and potentially even “higher”:

According to O’Brien, the DACA program was riddled with fraud and abuse from the beginning, where illegal alien applicants for the program allegedly lied on applications and were rarely caught by USCIS officials:

USCIS employees did quick checks of DACA applications, he said, rather than thorough reviews, “in order to get the DACAs all racked and stacked quickly.”

He and the investigators working under him, called adjudicators, often found evidence that someone had lied about his DACA qualifications, but the office of the chief counsel at USCIS, he said, almost always dismissed the adjudicator’s recommendation to deny the application.

“I would say 98 percent of the time, they defaulted to approving them,” he said.

O’Brien’s assertion that USCIS often rushed to get illegal aliens on the DACA rolls matches up with previous Breitbart Texas reporting which revealed how the Obama Administration added 122,221 DACA recipients to the amnesty program in the last three months of his presidency.

At the time, immigration expert John Miano told Breitbart Texas that the approval rate for DACA in Obama’s last three months stood at roughly 98% percent, leaving the potential for fraud and abuse in the program.

Since DACA’s inception, more than 2,100 DACA recipients saw their protected status revoked for being involved in gang activity or suspected/convicted of a felony. Due to a loophole in the DACA program, more than 39,000 illegal aliens have been able to obtain Green Cards and more than 1,000 naturalized.

    https://www.mediaite.com/tv/anti-trump-themed-american-horror-story-was-the-least-watched-premiere-in-five-years/

The latest and politically-charged season of American Horror Story had its weakest debut in five years.

Deadline reports that American Horror Story: Cult, which premiered Tuesday night, drew 3.93 million viewers and a 2.02 rating among adults 18-49, which is a 24% drop from last year’s premiere of American Horror Story: Roanoke.

The story AHS: Cult surrounds Sarah Paulson‘s character, whose numerous phobias including her fear of clowns worsens after Donald Trump shocked the world and won the 2016 election last November while at the same time a cult of scary clowns begin a murderous rampage in her town.

This week’s premiere was the worst kickoff for the FX anthology series since its second season back in 2012. American Horror Story: Asylum drew just 3.85 million viewers. The weakest premiere to date is still the 2011 series premiere, which has since been coined as Murder House, that drew 3.18 million viewers.

American Horror Story: Cult marks the show’s seventh season. This year’s cast also includes Evan Peters, Allison Pill, Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes, and Lena Dunham.

  56. thanks Gonzo, I appreciate it

re: that review…maybe adding Lena Dunham to the cast was the straw that broke the camel’s back…

  57. S,
Lol when I saw Lena Dunhams name I knew they were in trouble, but I watched 30 seconds of it and turned it off yesterday. I didn’t know it was going to have a political hate Trump theme, but it was quickly clear.

  58. Keystone cops.

The effete media are such merchants of hate and such nattering nabobs of negativity, that they miss the ques. They are like Captain Ahab chasing Moby Dick, and miss the ques. As Trump has turned away from the plotters within his own party and reached across the aisle, the rhetoric from Pelosi and Schumer has softened, but you would never know it from that vomit coming out of the collective mouths of big media, as they recycle prior chapter of the manifesto of hate against Trump and the American People. When you went to Harvard the world is supposed to be your oyster, since you are, after all, part of the sceptered race, and yet this upstart, this Barabas, this vulgarian showsyou the respect you deserve which is to say, none, and does the country you have been telling for a generation that you and your ilk are the most trusted name in news stand up for you? Hell no. They applaud Trump as he takes you down, including you Mr. Taptoes, you lying miscreant.

  59. Lyn Brian Williams, Wolf Blitzer,
Mr. Tap toes and Morning Joe,
    With every virtue, every grace,
Ah what avails the sceptred race,
Here you see-the four of us,
And there are so many more of us
Big media whores that must succeed.
We know how Putin conquered Gaul
    And how to whack a cricket ball;
Apart from this, our education lacks co-ordination.
    Though we’re young and tentative
    And totally unrepresentative,
    Of the American People, yet
    Scions of a noble breed,
We treat our audience like the dummies
And they never disappoint us in that respect
We are the products of the Ivies
    And must therefore succeed

  60. Mea cupa. I neglected to mention Chuck Todd, who just celebrated his 40th birthday, and has yet to emerge from puberty. The little gotee is painted on his face to look like stubble. Not for nothing is he known among his many friends and admirers as Chuckie Cheese, and by his detractors as simply rat boy. What Andrea Mitchell sees in him, I will never understand, but I guess anything is better than old liverspot Greenspan, Mr. Irrational Exuberance.

  61. So far Irma is a bunch of forecast hype and I’ve awakened today supersaturated by it. Live pictures via FoxNews show FL empty. I’m told a family driving from Melbourne has reached New York. Conveniently, Irma quickly deteriorates over land, so few north of FL will have their lives disrupted and mid Atlantic meteorologists seem oblivious to my curiosity of what becomes of her.

Five presidents have joined to fundraise. PDT applauds their move. Someone perhaps associated w Americorp – or more likely OFA – has announced the need for clean up volunteers as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.

Irma could be seen as an effective way to flush undox into safety of whereabouts unknown to DOJ.

Hope the winds are much less than advertised, FL. Hope I’m wrong regarding an awareness of the heavy awkward distructive hand of O.B.A.M.A.

Meantime, #TrashingTrumps remains a popular sport: hope that Mara Lago is blown down and that PDT is in it. Vogue ignoring Melania. Mention of DJTJr’s conversation w Congress yesterday.

But no one knows if the Charlottesville to DC parade ever arrived. It was due on Sept 6 and despite my best efforts, I lost track of it. I guess it did rain on his parade, probably not enough payouts. AL is not the sharing kind.

  63. The legal standards for no fault divorce in many states?

    Irreconcilable differences.

When the Obama half of the country prays for the Trump have of the country to die in a hurricane, as a million twitter statements reveal, we have exactly that:

There are two ways of resolving differences which are irreconcilable.

    Violence or divorce.

    This writer advocates divorce.

The problem is the left has no interest in a peaceful resolution.

These godless, childless, nihilists want only destruction.

They bear on their foreheads the mark of the beast.

Therefore violence may prove to be the unfortunate consequence.

Half the country is now mentally ill, and that is the Obama half.

Half of America Wants the Other Half to Die in a Hurricane
BY MEGAN FOX SEPTEMBER 7, 2017

Hurricane Irma has left death and destruction in her wake and Hurricane Jose is right behind her promising more. Entire islands have been destroyed, families torn apart, and property wiped out. This crippling devastation so close to the last hurricane in Texas, from which people are still reeling, is tough to take. These people require our unceasing prayers and help, not scorn and snark.

So who would be cold-blooded enough to savage hurricane victims? Rabid sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). These are people who were so blindsided by a Clinton loss that they can’t see past their election night rage and are wishing destruction on all the Trump voters in Florida along with Trump properties. I don’t want to be neighbors with these kinds of people anymore.

    Who raised them?

Is this how civil wars start? Because it sure feels like it could be. I can’t imagine the kind of hate that is harbored in a heart that wishes for half of their countrymen to die violently. I’m disgusted thinking that I may be shopping next to some of these people in the grocery store. I used to care about the other side. I used to think they were good people with wrong ideas. But these days they keep proving they are evil people with evil ideas.

This solidifies to those of us over here, praying and calling friends and watching the hurricane path with horror, that we don’t have anything in common with them anymore. We don’t share culture or common heroes with them anymore. Twenty years ago there wasn’t a person on either side who wouldn’t praise Thomas Jefferson or George Washington. Today we find ourselves begging them not to vandalize Mt. Rushmore. We used to value law and order; today they are in the streets demanding anarchy. We can’t even watch football with them anymore without a protest against our flag, which they hate.

They’re sitting on Twitter as the hurricane tears toward Florida hoping people will die.

There’s no “common ground” to be found with people who want me and those like me (and our children) to die violently in a hurricane! These are not friends, compatriots, or countrymen.

Imagine the outcry if a hurricane was coming toward SanFrancisco and the right was tweeting, “Boy, those gays have it coming! Serves them right for putting Heather Has Two Mommies in our curriculum! I hope they all die!” The foaming at the mouth would be epic. The people the left is targeting for death-by-hurricane are not the monsters they want them to be. Most of those firemen, SWAT members, and first responders running into danger to rescue hurricane survivors are Trump supporters. That’s who elected him — blue-collar, police, firemen, military and trade workers. And the Trump Derangement Syndrome zombies want them to get killed.

This isn’t an abstract idea and it isn’t a joke either. As a Trump supporter, I feel unsafe wearing a #MAGA hat without backup or a gun. College professors and public school teachers are attacking Trump supporters with deadly weapons (for fun) on the weekends. This is the kind of stuff that is dangerous to our republic because we’ve stopped caring about one another as brothers who disagree. We have turned into strangers and worse — strangers who hate one another. Until I saw these sentiments about wiping out people like me I thought we could coexist. That’s over.

    I want a divorce.

Before the shooting begins, maybe we should try to salvage what’s left of this tattered relationship. I’m not even picky about which half of the country we get. North, South, East, or West, it doesn’t matter. We’ll make whatever part we get great in no time. And if we miss our cities, we’ll hire Disney to recreate them — and they won’t have any of the crime and poverty (but they will have excellent gift shops). And we can build a big beautiful wall between our side and the side that wants us dead. And they can get on with whatever communist, atheist, multi-sex, trans-human, refugee nightmare they want so badly. We can do this without firing a shot. Can we start that process now and avoid the inevitable violence that follows the absolute dehumanization of half the population? There’s only so much of this that people are going to be able to take before it descends into the worst bar brawl anyone has ever seen (with drones). Nobody wants that. Let’s get a divorce.

  64. Tump Sidesteps Republican Roadblock

By Charles Hurt – The Washington Times – Thursday, September 7, 2017
    ANALYSIS/OPINION:
The swamp gets sloshed! Republicans stunned! GOP reeling! Blindsided!
    Blindsided? Seriously?
President Trump cuts a dirty little deal with Democrats and the swamp rats are surprised? They scurry for cover like cockroaches when the lights flick on.
Holy frog juice, these people are even dumber than we thought. These swamp denizens are even more delusional than we thought.
And these people are supposed to be political experts.
The hopeless debt-addled addicts in Congress got sent to rehab after last November’s intervention election, and ever since they keep promising they really learned their lesson this time. Now we find they are still doped up — meth-rotted teeth, glassy-eyed — and still shooting up treasury ink.
Rep. Kevin Cramer, North Dakota Republican, said he “gasped” when he learned of Mr. Trump’s deal with the devilish Democrats.
“Wow,” he said. “I was at dinner last night where that was not in anybody’s dream.”
Former Senate GOP leader Trent Lott cringed over how “embarrassing” it was to have the president lay bare such a split with Republicans in Congress.
Somebody needs to reread “The Masque of the Red Death.”
We have on our hands an economic, bureaucratic and political plague, and these people in the swamp are still clutching their pearls, gasping into their lace gloves and fretting over proper manners at the garden party that went broke long, long ago.
Let’s review: Since the start of the year, President Trump has tried working with Republicans. He gave them a sterling, phenomenal Supreme Court justice.
Despite all the venom from so many Republicans in Washington during last year’s general election, Mr. Trump helped the party keep seats in all four special elections where Republicans competed.
And despite the acrimony, Mr. Trump has been generous in explaining to Washington Republicans all the things that matter most to actual voters in America. He has worked strenuously to make good on the promises that got him — and many Republicans — elected last year.
For their part, Republicans refuse to hear Mr. Trump’s advice. They backstab him and leak fake stories to the fake media about his White House.
They join in with the barking, mouth-frothing hyenas to investigate this Russia canard and threaten the president’s family and personal fortune.
They call him a racist because he — rightly — called out the leftist thugs who agitate for a race war in this country.
And, finally, these syphilitic Washington Republicans are, apparently, constitutionally incapable of actually accomplishing anything.
Forget that Mr. Trump got elected promising to repeal Obamacare. Republicans have won four straight elections on that very same promise!
And they can’t even get that done, even as Mr. Trump stands at the end of Pennsylvania Avenue, holding his pen, weeping ink.
Yet these bozos are surprised that Mr. Trump finally had enough and is now playing footsie with Democrats?
And these are the “good guys” in Washington. Dear Lord, help us!

  65. Genius. President Donald J. Trump schlonged the GOP establishment to pass the debt ceiling, hurricane relief, and government funding. Now congress has time to repeal ObamaCare. Yup! It’s happening!

    http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/349462-mccain-backs-graham-cassidy-obamacare-repeal-effort

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Wednesday that he supports a newer version of an ObamaCare repeal-and-replace bill, throwing some support behind the last-ditch effort.

McCain said he backs a bill from Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) that would convert ObamaCare spending into block grants for states.

Asked if he supported it, McCain told reporters, “Yes. You think I wouldn’t be?”

Graham is one of McCain’s closest friends. [snip]

The measure faces long odds even with McCain’s comments. The White House is pushing for it, but Senate GOP leadership has so far not expressed interest publicly.

Republicans face a tight deadline of Sept. 30, when the fast-track process known as reconciliation needed to pass a repeal bill without Democratic votes expires.

Asked if he thinks the bill has legs before Sept. 30, McCain said, “I do.”

“I think he’s getting a number of governors who are supportive of his approach to weigh in,” McCain said of Graham.

Importantly McCain said that his home state’s governor, Doug Ducey (R), supports the bill. McCain’s office later clarified that Ducey has expressed support for the concept of the bill but has not weighed in yet.

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway said Wednesday on Fox News that President Trump would sign the Graham-Cassidy bill.

The GOP establishment is scared of President Donald J. Trump. That’s the only reason to believe this will pass. If it doesn’t pass it will get a lot worse for the GOP establishment. Trump! Genius!

Monday is 9/11 in more ways than one.

  66. The House and the Senate did not have to vote on President Trump’s deal with cryin’ Schumer and Pelousy because Ryan/McConnell control the calendar. But they voted because the GOP establishment is running scared because now they know that President Trump has targeted their treacherous asses for political termination. Result:

    http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/house/349786-house-passes-trump-deal-on-majority-democratic-vote

Lawmakers voted 316-90 for the package that includes more than $15 billion in disaster recovery aid for communities affected by Hurricane Harvey. The majority of House Republicans voted for the bill, something that had been uncertain, but more of the votes in favor came from Democrats.

All of the 90 votes in opposition were from Republicans.

Ryan/McConnell had no plan to pass anything other than their usual kabuki theater phony fight then collapse on the last day. President Trump showed them how it is done.

  67. Bannon on 60 Minutes: Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell ‘Trying to Nullify 2016 Election’

    by TONY LEE8 Sep 20176,347

Former White House Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon believes Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) are trying to “nullify” the 2016 election because they do not believe in the economic nationalist agenda that got President Donald Trump elected.
In an interview with CBS anchor Charlie Rose that will air on Sunday’s 60 Minutes, Bannon said that is why he is going to “war” with the Republican establishment. He also revealed that McConnell even told Trump’s team to “back off” the “drain the swamp” talk during one of their first meetings.

“The Republican establishment is trying to nullify the 2016 election,” Bannon told Rose, in a clip that the CBS Evening News previewed on Thursday evening. “That’s a brutal fact we have to face.”

When Rose asked him to name names, Bannon answered, “I think Mitch McConnell, and to a degree, Paul Ryan. They do not want Donald Trump’s populist, economic nationalist agenda to be implemented. It’s very obvious.”

    advertisement

Bannon then told Rose that during one of the first meetings with McConnell at Trump Tower, the Senate Majority Leader told Trump’s team, “I don’t wanna hear any more of this ‘drain the swamp’ talk.”

The Breitbart News executive chairman said McConnell told them that “a guy up on Capitol Hill can’t buy a Coke unless it’s gotta be reported” and, as a result, he “can’t hire any smart people.”

McConnell, according to Bannon, insisted Trump’s team stop talking about draining the swamp, saying, “you gotta back off that.”

Bannon also told Rose that Messrs. Ryan and McConnell are not going to help Trump “unless they’re put on notice. They’re gonna be held accountable if they do not support the President of the United States. Right now there’s no accountability. They do not support the president’s program. It’s an open secret on Capitol Hill. Everybody in this city knows it.”

Rose then asked, “now that you’re out of the White House, you’re going to war with them?”

    Bannon replied, “absolutely.”

  68. My sister has a place in Bonita springs, thank God she is up in Milwaukee this time of the year. Very sad, that storm, those two hurricanes, Irma, which is beyond anything imaginable in size, compared to Andrew…YIKES !!!
People have to be crazy not to flee

  69. Janet Napolitano sues Trump’s DHS to preserve her DACA amnesty

The woman who created the 2012 deportation amnesty for Dreamers filed a lawsuit Friday protesting the Trump administration’s move to phase out the program, saying the decision was done on President Trump’s executive “whim.”

She said her school system stands to lose money and the chance to educate some of its 4,000 illegal immigrant students, as well as perhaps having to let go its illegal immigrant staff.

“We really support out DACA students and part of the reason we’re filing this lawsuit it to help protect their rights,” Ms. Napolitano said.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/sep/8/janet-napolitano-sues-dhs-preserve-daca-amnesty/?utm_source=onesignal&utm_campaign=pushnotify&utm_medium=push

    …………

    These people are cray-cray!

One would ask; Janet, why, after all the years you have been in this country have you not sought citizenship through the system and existing law?

  70. Irma’s path has changed so that I am not directly in it’s path. I am sure glad I chose not to evacuate. The sun is setting and I am about to go finish shuttering the house for the bad weather that will be staring early in the morning.

  71. Mrs Smith

    What freaking rights?
And isn’t this the same woman that sent in armed agents in the dead of the night, to send a little Cuban boy BACK to Cuba?

And isn’t this the same woman that sent ATF agents into Waco and MURDERED American citizens INCLUDING CHILDREN!!!

  72. One would ask; Janet, why, after all the years you have been in this country have you not sought citizenship through the system and existing law?

I may have misinterpreted this article to mean Ms Napolitano is illegal. Only after re-reading the article did I see my error. However, in hindsight, so many of Obama’s EO’s have never past court challenges or legislated by Congress so it was not an unreasonable assumption on my part thinking JN was an illegal. Because ‘legallity’ was/is not a priority concern for the Obama administration,

  73. And isn’t this the same woman that sent in armed agents in the dead of the night, to send a little Cuban boy BACK to Cuba?
    ……..

You’re thinking of Janet Reno. Clinton’s AG.

  74. Hollywood’s Pious Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is endemic in Hollywood. That is one reason Barack Obama and other Democrats feel so welcome there. Hypocrisy is a wide spectrum disorder in Hollywood. Similar to a virus, it has many types and mutates as time goes by. There are the obvious displays.

However, one form of hypocrisy mostly escapes notice, and it cuts to the heart of the Democrats’ phony posturing. President Obama slammed Mitt Romney for the same thing during the campaign but, of course, is silent when it comes to celebrities. Its practice may also be responsible for the sheer mediocrity of movies.

  75. The Big Media broken hearts club:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2017/09/07/russian-meeting-notes-not-damaging-to-trump-family-242464

Notes from former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort on a meeting he attended last year with a Russian lobbyist and Donald Trump Jr. are not seen as damaging to the Trump family or campaign officials, according to government officials and others who have looked at the notes.

The Trump Tower meeting has come under scrutiny because Trump Jr. wrote in an email that he agreed to the encounter in order to find “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, and it has since become a focus for special counsel Robert Mueller. Mueller has sought to interview White House officials about the fallout, and the Russian lobbyist has testified in front of a grand jury.

The notes from the meeting do not contain any damaging information about Clinton or references to promises of damaging information about her, nor do they indicate that officials on the campaign were promising favors or seeking them in return for money, the people who’ve seen them said.

According to these people, the notes have been with Senate officials for weeks and have been reviewed by a number of people on Capitol Hill. Also in attendance at the June 2016 meeting in New York were a Russian lawyer, a Russian businessman and other Trump campaign officials, including Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law.

Officials who have reviewed the notes say they are not likely to be independently vital to any case, if at all, because they are difficult to follow, particularly one year later. To be sure, the notes are not an exhaustive account of the meeting, and other things could have been discussed that are not included in the notes.

Jason Maloni, a Manafort spokesman, declined to comment.

Trump Jr. testified to Senate investigators Thursday that he never received any damaging information but only wanted to assess Clinton’s “fitness” for office. President Donald Trump and others were involved in crafting a statement about the notes on Air Force One that was viewed as misleading.

The notes from Manafort, these people said, are about financier Bill Browder, a key player in the Magnitsky Act, which sanctioned Russian officials for human rights abuses. In retaliation for those sanctions, Russia banned U.S. citizens from adopting Russian children.

The notes include a spirited case on why Trump officials should overturn the act and why Republicans could support it. It indicates that the Russian officials made critical comments about Browder, but that Trump officials seemed to know little about the legislation or how it came about.

The notes do not contain the word “donor,” as NBC News previously reported, but they appear to explain the background of a key player involved in the act, these people said, and this person’s previous donations to the Republican National Committee.

  76. Mrs Smith, the gusts from Irma are projected to be 190 mph.

In 1970 Dutch Harbor Alaska had gusts up to 200 mph. I was 200 miles to the west, and the wind was a steady 90 mph, and it made you feel like you were flying. In 1974 I was in the same locale and they had steady winds of 135 mph where I was. I was living in an old World War II bunkhouse, and a three story glass wall came down right next to me. The power of nature is nothing to trifle with, unless you are the big media beloved messiah. Once upon a time he made the waters of the Red Sea part, according to that unimpeachable source Tapper, a known perjurer. But this time he is languishing in Hawaii, sniping and just does not have the time or interest in saving the world. Not after he saved Hezbola, ISIS, al Quaeda. A yes, a Messiahs work is no longer done. Some business type offered a cogent analysis of Obama’s failures but had to spoil it with the gratuitous comment that he believed Obama was loyal to the country. The only one Obama is loyal is himself and to his sugar daddy Soros.

I saw your correction after I posted… sorry
Nevertheless, Janet Reno was in lockstep
with the Rep leadership at the time. goofy!
    ……….

I did watch the Lou Dobbs video. Amazing his words
were frankly blunt and on point. Music to our ears
when we hear the truth on brave media.
    ………..

Mrs Smith, the gusts from Irma are projected to be 190 mph.

I expect as Irma continues North, the winds will dissipate somewhat before it reaches NC. Which is a very good thing!

    ………..

“The power of nature is nothing to trifle with”

The recent solar eclipse indicated Bad Things happening. Pundits speculated it as a dire warning for Trump… Instead of hurting Trump, the turnabout seems to have targeted McConnell and Ryan… woot!

  78. Well, I am thinking back to when Irma was predicted to make landfall in Miami as a Cat 5 storm. That would be absolutely catastrophic. And I am not too far away. The population density on the east coat is problematic, too. But we are not so susceptible to tidal surge in the southeast.

Most recent Florida Construction has a Cat 4 standard. My house is less than that due to the roof attachment construction, but I am at a decent elevation. Right now I have brought in everything from my yard and stored it in my garage that I also have to fit my car in. Whatever is left out is a potential projectile for the storm to do damage. I was very grateful that the trash was picked up today (late from yesterday). Otherwise I would have had to store that, too.

The house is shuttered. Shutters are a problematic because they limit your ability to escape from the house. I can escape through the front door and garage. But if the winds look like they are over 80 MPH or so I need to put the brace on the garage door, making escape through it, difficult.

I will see in the morning what the local predictions are. Then I will make up my mind if I need to brace the garage door and how much water I need to store. The major water plants have emergency generators, but flooding can create all kinds of problems with water quality. One bathtub I would fill with water for flushing toilets (in case the plant goes down) and another I have a Water BOB for to fill with drinking water( in case flooding causes water quality problems). I started making ice earlier this week and the freezer is packed in anticipation of power outage.

After the storm I will be reporting for duty with the State, and will go out doing assessments in the community. Gas, ice and water may be scarce commodities. If the power is out for long, clean clothes are also an issue as we will all be sweating alot.

So let’s just see how this all goes.

  79. Jamie Dimon for President?

He has decided to go for it.

    And why not?

After all, he went to Harvard.

And he has great references, i.e.

From, you guessed it, Mr. If You Like Your Health Care You Can Keep It

On the May 15, 2012, episode of ABC’s The View, Obama responded to a question from Whoopi Goldberg regarding JPMorgan Chase’s recently publicized $2 billion trading losses by defending Dimon against allegations of irresponsibility, saying, “first of all, JP Morgan is one of the best managed banks there is. Jamie Dimon, the head of it, is one of the smartest bankers we’ve got”, but added, “it’s going to be investigated”.[45]

    Whereupon, true to form . . . . from Wiki . . . .

    London Whale

In the case of the 2012 JPMorgan Chase trading loss, according to a US Senate report published in March 2013 after 9 months of investigation,[47] Dimon misled investors and regulators in April as losses rose dangerously to $6.2 billion on a “monstrous” derivatives bet made by the so-called “London Whale” Bruno Iksil. According to Carl Levin, Chairman of this panel, JP Morgan had “a trading operation that piled on risk, ignored limits on risk taking, hid losses, dodged oversight and misinformed the public”.

Dimon dismissed press accounts of possible losses in Iksil’s book as a “tempest in a teapot” when he knew that Iksil had already lost $1 billion, which led Levin to say “None of those statements made on April 13 to the public, to investors, to analysts were true,” and “The bank also neglected to disclose on that day that the portfolio had massive positions that were hard to exit, that they were violating in massive numbers key risk limits.”[48][49]

    Nevertheless, Dimon is feeling presidential

In the immortal words of Irving Berlin, from Call Me Madam

    If you’re feeling presidential
You can make it, yes, indeed
There are just three things essential
Let me tell you all you need

Is an ounce of wisdom and a pound of gall
And the hostess with the mostes’ on the ball

  80. PDT may be on track for draining the congressional swamp in 2018 but the Justice Department swamp seems to be safe and thriving. Today, they informed congress that they will not be prosecuting Lois Lerner for any crimes or even re-opening the IRS investigation since there is still no evidence that any crimes were committed – only “mismanagement.” They seem to have missed Lerner’s public confession, subsequent apology, and her promise to never do it again. In addition, John Koskinin is still head of the IRS to this day. Two-tiered justice remains alive and well. What’s taking so long to clean out the DOJ? Nauseating. Sessions has to go.

I am unable to provide a link but the DOJ letter to congress is at Judicial Watch.

    Stay safe, Floridians!

    Jamie Dimon for President?
He has decided to go for it.
    And why not?
After all, he went to Harvard.

LOL. There are a bunch of them. Dimon, Zuckerberg, I kept reading here and there how that old angry gay Barry Diller (who seethes with jealousy) and his hag beard of a wife von Furstenberg would love to run but is just too old, bitchy, time constrained attending fat cat creep conferences world wide.

Does anyone remember anything any of these doofuses has ever said? Zuck had to have a “listening tour” a la Hillary to meet any regular people. To get into the spirit of the thing he wore a work jump suit so he wouldn’t get dirty. BACKWARDS. I guess his mommy put it on him. Yes he couldn’t take a piss in it without an undressing crew and he didn’t notice the collar was garrotting him. He must have never taken a car to a garage with mechanics or more likely he looked right through them as non-beings and never noticed their practical work clothing. And like Dimon and Diller the narcissism drips off him.

I hope they go for it. They are not as smart as Ross Perot, nor media savvy, nor as interestingly crazy. Even people who didn’t always operate in the “elite” narcissism circles fall into it with habit and become blind to their own ridiculousness. A flock of !Jebs! biting at Trump’s ankles. What a hoot. A Media Platform in Silicon Valley stolen from someone else (Zuck), Big Media (Diller) and Mr Wall Street Bailout (Dimon). Go for it!

  82. “fat cat creep conferences world wide.”
I know a guy, LOL, who went to one of these things with his (nice but dopey) inherited wealth wife I think this spring after the horror of Trump’s election and inauguration. He said they sit around congratulating each other on how moral and good they are to each other. They have “talks” where some credentialed “expert” comes out and lies about a bunch of crap, takes arse-licker questions, says how great they all are and then they all go eat truffles for lunch. They wear Hipster and SJW tee shirts and thousand dollar shoes. And they are old. My acquaintance/friend found them both hilarious and pitiful. He called them “a bunch of rotten old sinners”. And he is no choir boy himself. This is the self appointed “elite”. And they want to run their own guy for president.

The Big Media broken hearts club:

Also known as The Liar’s Club. As they continue to shoot themselves in various body parts, they will have no toes, feet, fingers, hands, un-mentionable whatever, knees, elbows, and eventually their heads. What will kill media off? A flaming sword? It just re-animates and crawls around on the floor. We need the Foot of Cupid to end it semi-humanely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Foot_of_Cupid

  84. Feeling few effects from Irma this morning with winds. Looks like the devil worshipers curse on Trump’s Maralgo house did not work. May they all choke on their own bad Karma.

This is the second major storm I prepped for in this house, so every time I find things I can do better next time.

I think it worked out quite well for Miami where any rent-seeking overlords had to sweat if the constructions of their massive high-rises was substandard. If course, I am sure they have legally protected themselves from consequences, but everyone would know them as mass-murderers. Just glad it did not happen.

Then I am also grateful that my brother, who has a luxury home near the beach, found out that his wife had removed most of the tracks for their shutters because they were ugly, and thrown out most of the shutters. I tried, unsuccessfully, to get someone out there to put up plywood. Available plywood was going for $60/sheet by the time the forecast changed to the west coast.

    Prayers for the west coast.

  85. Irma is beating up on Cuba right now, losing some steam. It looks like it will be passing about 100 miles to my west with the worst of it coming over the next 24 hours. I will be preparing for power outage.

    Dreams, Delusions and Duplicity
    by Mark Steyn
    Steyn on America
    September 6, 2017

Between you and me, I’m in favor of deporting every single Dreamer just because of the stupid name “Dreamer”.

Failing that, I’m in favor of deporting Senators-for-Life Dick Durbin and Orrin Hatch, who sponsored the original “DREAM Act”, which failed. That’s to say, despite repeated efforts over the course of this century, it has not become law. It’s not an act, it’s a bill – and a flop bill, which means it’s just a pile of moldering papers sitting somewhere in the basement of the Orrin Hatch Archive and Senatorial Library soon to be built in Utah.

Readers will know I strongly dislike the contemporary habit of acronymic legislation: The “DREAM Act” is, more precisely, the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act. The Tea Act that so excited His Majesty’s subjects in British North America was, in fact, called “An act to allow a drawback of the duties of customs on the exportation of tea or oil to any of his Majesty’s colonies or plantations in America; to increase the deposit on bohea tea to be sold at the East India Company’s sales; and to empower the Commissioners of the Treasury to grant licenses to the East India Company to export tea duty-free”. If only Lord North had thought to call it the TASTY Act (Telling Americans we’re Still Taxing You), the whole unpleasantness of the Boston Tea Party and subsequent events might have been avoided.

But the DREAM Act is not merely an example of fatuous aconyms. It also demonstrates the larger point I’ve made over the years – of how culture trumps politics. The DREAM Act bombed as politics, but the stupid name took hold in the culture – to whit:

DREAMers Like Me Have Flourished Under DACA. Trump Might Take It All Away

…and a zillion other headlines: “The Dreamers Are Ready to Fight President Trump.” “This Dreamer Is Ready to Go to the Army. Will Trump Let Him?” “Congress, It’s Up to You to Protect the Dreamers.” Etc.

So we have gone from “illegal aliens” to “undocumented workers” to “Dreamers”. And Republican voters wonder why they never win anything. Sixty years ago, the US Government was happy to call its “comprehensive immigration reform” plans “Operation Wetback”, and President Eisenhower was willing to use the term in public. Now we expect jelly-spined finger-in-the-windy legislators to stand firm against “Dreamers”. Yeah, right. As for Europe, if Chancellor Merkel and the EU start calling their legions of sturdy young Muslim “refugees” Dreamers, it’s game over.

Okay, if it’s unreasonable to deport a fine upstanding colossus of the Democrats such as Dick Durbin, could we at least deport Orrin Hatch? A former Republican presidential candidate, he was all over the airwaves yesterday claiming to be tough on border enforcement …but only once we’ve legalized all these “Dreamers”. Presumably it was some obscure staffer of Durbin’s, acting at the behest of the lobbyists, who came up with the beguiling name “DREAM Act”. But Hatch might have understood the concession he was making. The sentimentalization of public affairs that accompanies these acronymic abominations is embarrassing to a self-governing republic in and of itself. But it’s especially damaging on this particular question – because mass unskilled immigration is the biggest issue facing the western world right now, and that grotesque sentimentalization embodied by hogwash like “Dreamers” makes mature, rational discussion of public policy impossible. Republican voters have minimal expectations of the likes of Orrin Hatch, but they had at least the right to expect he would have grasped something that basic.

“I’m A Dreamer. Aren’t We All?” as Janet Gaynor sagely observed in Sunny Side Up. I dream of a villa on Lake Como, but I don’t see why the Italian government should be in the least bit interested in my dreams, or in adjusting their laws to accommodate me. As the founder of Davos, Klaus Schwab, has speculated:

Imagine one billion inhabitants [of the developing world], imagine they all move north.

    I ran his math:

A billion man march, eh? The population of the developed world – North America, the European Union, Japan, Oz, NZ – is about a billion. Of the remaining six billion people around the planet, is it really so absurd to think that one-sixth of them would “move north” if they could?

As we had cause to reflect on Labor Day, no developed nation in the year 2017 needs mass immigration. To judge from the press coverage, the average DACA beneficiary is a twelve-year-old beatific moppet. In fact, Obama amnestied those aged 30 and under in 2012 – which means some of them are 36 now, which means (given that they’re either undocumented or using fraudulent documents) some of these dreaming moppets are in their forties. No matter. Those who aren’t telegenic infants are, we’re assured, serving in the US Army or helping with Harvey relief. As Tucker Carlson scoffed last night, the proportion of Dreamers serving in the military is tiny. And as a statistic it might be more useful if we could compare it to the number of Dreamers serving in, say, MS-13.

Yet Orrin Hatch assures us that Dreamers have to be “of good character”. And DACA supposedly requires that a Dreamer…

.. has not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.

But this is rubbish. First, because US Immigration checks nothing. (I was told at the time of my own application that the relevant bureaucrat would spend six minutes on it, which is not enough time to read it, never mind check it. And I would imagine that since then the time allocation has only shrunk.) Second, because anyone with even the most casual acquaintance with the dank toilet of the US justice system knows that all over the map criminals are pleading down felonies to misdemeanors every minute of the day (a career criminal who stole from me did it in New Hampshire just last year). Third, because, thanks to the genius jurists of the Supreme Court, criminal aliens are specifically required to be advised of any immigration implications to their case, and so prosecutors more or less routinely tell them to cop a deal to avoid attracting the attentions of ICE.

That’s to say, the left hand of government tells Americans not to worry, no felons are eligible – while the right hand of government is frantically pleading down felonies to misdemeanors precisely in order that the felons remain eligible.

And, of course, the minute Dreamers become legal, chain migration will take care of the rest, including their parents, who broke the law in the first place – because, despite the assurances, no one will check that, either.

Nevertheless, in the eyes of the American people, and certainly their media, a Dreamer is a class valedictorian about to sign up for a tour in Afghanistan. So good luck to any Republican legislator minded to argue against that. Thus the power of a single word to frame the issue: “Illegal aliens” are lawbreakers who should face the consequences. But Dreamers are an identity group, like the transgendered or gays or African-Americans: it’s as innate as biology or orientation; why blame them?

Perhaps the most depressing aspect of the last 24 hours is the way it has utterly upended the extraordinary events of summer 2015, when Donald Trump did something truly radical for a candidate of either party: He talked about the problem of immigration policy not from the perspective of the Dreamers but of those on the receiving end of their dreams. Back then, several members of the current Trump Administration were outraged by this. In an unprecedented move, Nikki Haley used the official Republican response to the State of the Union to attack not President Obama but candidate Trump and those foolish enough to “follow the siren call of the angriest voices”. As I responded:

Unfortunately for her, this sentimentalist twaddle is not where the Republican base is. She’s looking at immigration policy from the point of view of the seven billion hard-working soon-to-be-vetted Americans-in-waiting around the planet. But one of the changes this election season is that the party base is considering immigration policy from the point of view of the 300 million Americans who are already here.

That was the extraordinary transformation Donald Trump effected two summers ago. Now we’re back to all the usual “sentimentalist twaddle” – “hard-working”, “family values”, “living in the shadows” and (from delusional Republicans) “natural conservatives”.

To be sure, Republicans are still prepared to criticize Obama for his chosen method of immigration “reform” – via executive order, or, as George III would have called it, Royal Proclamation. “We can’t burn the Constitution just to do what you want,” Sean Hannity told Jorge Ramos on Fox last night.

But why not? We’re burning everything else, as one act of illegality leads on to another, and another: The unlawful entry of millions of unskilled immigrants has led to the unlawful corruption of state databases that implicitly accept the use of stolen Social Security numbers, and the unlawful issuance of drivers’ licenses by multiple states to non-legal residents, and the unlawful creation of “sanctuary cities” premised on the nullification of US immigration law, and now even the proposed repeal by certain municipalities of the defining privilege of citizenship in free societies – by the introduction of voting rights for non-citizens. Why should the separation of powers be quaintly adhered to when nothing else is?

In his Royal Proclamation, President Obama, as the Coyote-in-Chief, was doing no more than what millions of Undocumented-Americans have done: Who says I can’t do it? I’ve just done it. What you gonna do about it? From Undocumented Americans to Undocumented Legislating is but a small step. Shortly after DACA, my daughter and I were accused by an intemperate CBP agent of an arcane infraction of our own immigration status and, in fact, threatened with a call to ICE to deport my little girl. Evidently she’s no Dreamer, notwithstanding that I brought her to this country through no fault of her own. I cocked a cool eyebrow worthy of Roger Moore: “Oh, yes?” I said. “So you’re saying that this is a rare sub-clause of US immigration law still in effect?”

He disliked the cut of my jib, and even more so when I pointed out the President had no more right to engage in one-man legislating than I did. But our interaction was beginning to attract attention, so he waved me through. Yet this is very much where North American and European life is headed: those who flout the law with contempt are indulged; those deferential to the bureaucracy will be chastised ever more. I mean, is there anything more absurd than a constitutional argument over whether it’s the President or the legislature who should surrender to mass organized law-breaking by illegal aliens?

The left is quite explicit: Borders are fascist and racist, and thus the organizing principle of the world for the last four centuries – the nation state – is an illegitimate concept. The globalist establishment is not that upfront about it: they’re more of the view, publicly, that the nation state is an obsolescent and increasingly irrelevant concept. This is, in fact, “burning the Constitution”, and even the very concept of constitutions, and of the Peace of Westphalia – for the two most fundamental aspects of any state are borders and citizenship. If there are no borders, there are no citizens, only competing tribes of identity politics – like Dreamers. And, if , as his name surely suggests, a Dreamer trumps a citizen, and if anyone on the planet is a potential American, then American citizenship is objectively worthless.

Words matter. Which is why seeing too many of the conservative commentariat meekly swallow the open-borders crowd’s framing of the issue is so dispiriting. In this case, the Dream is a nightmare – of the end of nations, and of ordered societies.

  87. gonzotx it is nice to hear the other side. The non-dreaming side.

McConnell: I’ve talked to Romney about replacing Hatch
    By ELANA SCHOR 04/07/2017
…Hatch is leaving only the tiniest window to opt out of running for a new six-year term in 2018 at the age of 84. And Romney, the 2012 Republican presidential nominee, is said to be interested in a Senate run only if Hatch, a personal friend, decides to step aside…..

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — Hurricane Irma’s leading edges whipped palm trees and kicked up the surf as it spun toward Florida with 125 mph winds Saturday on a projected new track that could subject Tampa — not Miami — to the storm’s worst fury.

Tampa has not taken a direct hit from a major hurricane in nearly a century.

    Scary stuff, Lu…
What’s scarier Hurricane Jose is tracking right behind Irma for a double whammy. Sheesh!
Are the lights still on at your home?

  90. Hi all…last time I checked in i mentioned that irma is driving us all crazy
She has completely changed paths at least 4 times overnight
I’ve lost track…all I know is I packed as if I might not have a home waiting for my return & after frantically sweating thru 2 days of packing boxes of breakables irma decided to go west to the gulf…now have family right in the bull’s eye
As for what is happening irma is her own brand of hurricane…like DT she makes her own rules
One of them being she is traveling with what I would describe as a “halo band of tornados” & tornado warnings are going off one after the other
Bottom line…so far big trees & big signs going down; the ocean surge is getting ready to rumble & travel over possible vast amounts of land & stronger winds & tornados are revving up
The good news, barring another surprise, Irma has come down a couple of knotches from a category 5 to about a 3; however still packing destructive winds & more tornados with heavy rains, 10 feer surge & flooding

  91. Also want to express my deep condolences to Eric Bolling on the loss of his only child, his beloved 19 yr old son
Eric was always talking about him with such love & pride
This happened on the same day Eric “parted” with Fox after more than a decade
I actually hate the lliberal cabal that set all of this in motion by targeting Eric he did not deserve any of this…and now his son is gone
If you looked at any of the attacks & vitriol & bullying his son was subjected to on twitter then I hold the freaking hateful left as an accompliace
