#4thOfJuly2017: @POTUS @RealDonaldTrump Vs. Racist @Morning_Joe and Mika The Ho

On July 4, 1776 the enemy of newborn America was a monarch across the sea who presumed to rule over a brave people nurtured on this land of freedom. On July 4, 2017 the enemy of the American republic and people is a royalist Big Media.

President Donald J. Trump understands Big Media in 2017 is no longer a device to transmit needed information to the people, as the founders envisioned. The founders wanted a free press to confound the enemies of the people and therefore enshrined in the Constitution protections for a free press.

In 2017 Big Media threatens a free press. Big Media is as we noted back in 2007 nothing but a functioning political party. Big Media is a special interest interested only in preserving its royal privileges and the lucre derived from their bastions of political power. Michael Goodwin thinks the media has broken down, but the fact is Big Media is now a political party that demands the perks and prerogatives of dictators.

President Donald J. Trump understands Big Media is a threat to the American republic. Big Media understands that President Donald J. Trump is a threat to Big Media. That’s is why there is a massive battle between duly elected President Donald J. Trump on the side of constitutional government, and the Big Media Party of special interests fighting to regain and preserve their special interests.

President Donald J. Trump understands that his fireside tweets go over the head of Big Media and address the American people directly. Big Media sees that threat which circumvents the courtiers and royalists and attempts to stop President Donald J. Trump from utilizing his powerful weaponry.

The Big Media Party wants President Trump to stop his fireside tweets so many reasons are devised to stop the tweets from firing at their encampments. President Donald J. Trump however is neither fool nor coward. So President Donald J. Trump tweets and tweets as the Big Media Party yelps and yelps.

The main line of attack from the Big Media Party to stop President Donald J. Trump is the claim that the presidential tweets are a “distraction” from the President’s agenda. This line of attack is transparently false as the last thing the Big Media Party wants is for President Donald J. Trump to succeed. Some GOP dolts not used to fighting or too stupid to realize they are being used by the Big Media Party will parrot the “distraction” line of attack. But supporters of President Donald J. Trump know this spurious “distraction” claim is a… distraction.

Supporters of President Donald J. Trump alongside President Donald J. Trump remember and know that one of the main reasons to elect President Donald J. Trump is because he is the only one able and willing to fight the Big Media Party royalists. Understand this: PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP’S ATTACKS AGAINST BIG MEDIA ARE NOT A DISTRACTION. PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP’S ATTACKS AGAINST BIG MEDIA ARE ONE OF THE KEY COMPONENTS OF HIS AGENDA – WHICH IS TO LIBERATE AMERICA FROM THE BIG MEDIA ROYALISTS!

We notice that every time some Big Media royalist or courtier employs the “distraction” line of attack they say that President Donald J. Trump’s agenda is tax cuts, health care, infrastructure spending, and more tax cuts. Always these courtiers in the royalist ballrooms forget that President Donald J. Trump was elected because he fought against the Big Media Party, and appeared to relish the fight.

Which brings us to Racist Morning Joe Scarborough and Mika the Ho.

The Big Media royalists may have conveniently forgotten, but we have not, the circumstances of how Joe Scarborough became Morning Joe and how Mika Brzezinski became Mika the Ho.

It started with Don Imus. Don Imus on his televised radio show “Imus In The Morning” called a black women’s basketball team from Rutgers University “nappy-headed hos”. The outrage forced Imus to apologize and eventually resulted in his firing.

At that point Joe Scarborough, the former Republican congressman, was temporarily assigned to fill in for the disgraced Don Imus on the leftist MSNBC. Afterwards “Imus In The Morning” was permanently replaced by “Morning Joe”. How did Joe Scarborough manage this show grabber?

As soon as Don Imus was removed as the MSNBC morning show host, Joe Scarborough moved in. Racist Joe long wanted a morning slot show. Don Imus was removed due to a widely assumed racist joke. So Joe Scarborough promised he would have a black co-host as a sort of reparations. Morning Joe declared a black co-host was needed to combat racism.

For a very short while Morning Joe had as a co-host John Ridley, an accomplished screenwriter. So short was Ridley’s co-hosting that it is not even mentioned on his Wikipedia page. John Ridley is black.

The new black co-host to replace John Ridley on Morning Joe, was Mika Brzezinski. Who the hell is Mika Brzezinski? Well, she’s the daughter of a failed Jimmy Carter government official. Brzezinski also had a claim to fame when she briefly became an Internet sensation last month for refusing to read a report about Paris Hilton leaving jail.

How did Mika Brzezinski manage to grab a position above the staff on Morning Joe when an accomplished black man was pushed out so quickly? It’s called being a Ho.

Mika Brzezinski got the job the old fashioned way. She ho’ed for it. Just as there are royalists and courtiers, there are courtesans. Courtesans are another way of saying “Ho”. Years of gossip about Mika the Ho and the married racist Joe Scarborough were confirmed this year when both announced they would hop into the bed they hopped into a long time ago, this time with a marriage license to make it all appropriate in the royalist court.

It’s slimy business when you peer into the royalist court and their courtesans. We won’t even mention all the stories about the dead intern found in Joe Scarborough’s congressional office.

Let’s apply Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” #4 to Joe and his Ho. Rule 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” Southern right-wing congressman Joe Scarborough wanted a morning Joe talk show so he exploited a black man. Racist Joe promised to have a black co-host after racist Don Imus was removed, used John Ridley for a very short period of time, then his blond black woman Mika the Ho positioned herself underneath Racist Joe.

Of course, after Rachel Dolezal, the white woman who calls herself a black woman who inspired other women including a German woman with a tan to call herself black, anyone can be black these days, so why not Mika the Ho?

President Donald J. Trump knows all this. President Donald J. Trump is not afraid to call out the Hos and their bros. Perhaps the most important agenda item for President Donald J. Trump is destruction of the enemy of the American people, Big Media. So, President Donald J. Trump tweets and continues to win.

Trump tweets:

President Donald J. Trump’s Twitter timeline is filled with lots of information. Attacks on Big Media are but a portion of the informative tweets. But those attacks on Big Media are the ones that most offend Big Media because those are the tweets that expose Big Media as the corrupt political party of special interests. These are not “distractions”. This is what matters. If there were no “tweets” there would be something else Big Media would use to attack President Trump.

As Barack Obama warns against patriotism, President Donald J. Trump revels in patriotism. President Donald J. Trump also revels in the fight that must be fought against Big Media. Charles Hurt sees the fun in the fight that must be fought:

It is all so delicious. Mercilessly inventive. Joyously vicious. Like an entire season of pro wrestling drama, all sewn up into two little Twitter messages.

The Trump presidency is a little like having a dog. Every day that passes, you love the dog more and more until it seems impossible to love her any more.

But — sadly — every day also brings that nagging dread that one day she will be gone, seven times sooner than she should. What will we do when it is all over? There will never be another dog like her (sad face).

Of course, the puritanical schoolmarms of the political press went absolutely bonkers over Mr. Trump’s broadside of their fellow travelers. They scolded him that his Twitter missives were beneath the office of the president.

Really, you mean like molesting an intern in the Oval Office? “Presidential” like that?

MSNBC — the afterthought cable channel that airs “Morning Joe” — responded on Twitter: “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”

But the funny thing about it is that nobody actually disproved anything that Mr. Trump alleged. Just like Russia and obstruction of justice and everything else, there is not one single shred of evidence that Mr. Trump is not 100 percent in the right.

“The Amazon Post” — the paper-of-record for Never Trumpers — rushed to the defense of Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough with a laughably illogical and twisted explanation.

“The notion that Brzezinski and Scarborough were desperate to hang out with Trump on New Year’s Eve but were rebuffed seems dubious, at best,” reporter Callum Borchers wrote on the paper’s website.

“For one thing, the New York Times spotted the co-hosts at Trump’s New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago.”
So, wait a minute? The proof that Mr. Trump is lying about Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve is that — well — Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough were slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve?

Oof. Mr. Borchers probably learned this in journalism school. He should have gone to logic school instead.

But the correspondent was still not finished changing diapers for Ms. Brzezinski and Mr. Scarborough.
“For another,” Mr. Borchers writes, “Scarborough followed the report of their appearance [of Brzezinski and Scarborough slumming around Mar-a-Lago around New Year’s Eve] by angrily protesting any suggestion that he and Brzezinski were trying to cozy up to the president-elect.”

Let’s put this in terms the young reporter might understand: O-M-G.

Then Mr. Borchers goes on to accuse Mr. Trump of a “blatantly sexist attack” on Ms. Brzezinski because the president called her “unintelligent.”

Whoa! You mean that accusing someone of being “low I.Q.” is the equivalent of calling them female?
You might want to get a little “woke” to modern times.

Ms. Brzezinski (that would be she of “low I.Q.” and “crazy”), meanwhile, proved herself entirely worthy of Mr. Trump’s tirade by attacking the size of his manhood on Twitter.

I wish I were making that up, but that is what she did.

She posted a picture of a Cheerios box with a small child reaching a tiny finger out for a little toasted Cheerio. The box reads: “Made for Little Hands.”
Get it?

Such classy people. And they have been a respected part of the establishment for years. Donald Trump just got here.

President Donald J. Trump is leading a revolution against our oppressors: Big Media. It’s a joy to behold. It’s a wonder to watch. We’ve never seen this before. Except for once before.

It was July 4, 1776. The founding fathers and mothers launched a revolution. We won. We’ll will again.

Hooray! And Happy Fourth of July!

Justice Kennedy Tells October 2018 Clerkship Applicants He’s Considering Retirement, Right Before 2018 Midterms [snip]

This would put Justice Kennedy’s retirement right before the 2018 midterms, giving the Republican base reasons to turn out and keep the Senate with a Republican majority (already a strong possibility in 2018).

He’ll be able to go out on a high note, deciding the fate of partisan gerrymandering, gay rights, and who knows what else.

UPDATE: Republicans in the Senate would have a strategic decision to make: try to confirm a replacement before the elections, or use it as a tool to boost midterm turnout.

  2. From leftist The Guardian:

‘Your worst nightmare: a successful Donald Trump presidency’
As the president seizes on policy wins and seeks to turn the Russia spotlight on Obama and the press, some experts say liberals are in for a rude awakening

Sgy Michael Verardo, who lost an arm and a leg while serving with the US army in Afghanistan in 2010, says he was failed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). He had to wait 57 days to get his prosthetic leg fixed and three and a half years for adaptations to his home. But then came Donald Trump.

Thank you, President Trump and [Veterans Affairs] Secretary [David] Shulkin for ensuring that we are not forgotten and that we will receive the care we need and deserve,” Verardo said at the White House recently.

Trump, signing an act to protect VA whistleblowers, revelled in the moment, using his fingers to mime a gun and mouthing his catchphrase “You’re fired!” at Shulkin. Then he smiled: “We will never use those words on you, that’s for sure.” [snip]

The past two weeks illustrate how, when on the ropes, Trump can still throw some punches that at least get him to the bell. And he makes sure his 33 million Twitter followers know about it. When Republican Karen Handel beat Democrat Jon Ossoff in a Georgia race much-hyped as a referendum on his presidency, Trump tweeted: “Thank you @FoxNews ‘Huge win for President Trump and GOP in Georgia Congressional Special Election.’”

Then the president headed to Iowa to bask in the adulation of his supporters in the forum he likes best, a campaign-style rally. When he ranted against the “dishonest media” and floated the idea of solar panels on his border wall, the crowd lapped it up. Trevor Noah, host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, commented: “You know what was really impressive to see last night? How Trump supporters are so onboard with their dude he can say anything and they’ll come along for the ride.”

Then came the veterans event at the White House where, under the gaze of portraits of George Washington and Teddy Roosevelt, Trump projected himself as a man who gets things done.

“We’ve announced that the VA will finally solve a problem that has plagued our government for decades,” he said, referring to the transfer of veterans’ medical records from the Department of Defense to the VA – a seemingly simple process that has earned comparisons to the incompatibility of the Xbox and PlayStation.

Meanwhile, Trump finally caught a break on the worst crisis facing his presidency, the multiple investigations into his election campaign’s links to Russia. First, David Brooks, a Trump critic and New York Times columnist, suggested that the scandal may be overblown.

“There may be a giant revelation still to come,” Brooks wrote. “But as the Trump-Russia story has evolved, it is striking how little evidence there is that any underlying crime occurred – that there was any actual collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russians. Everything seems to be leaking out of this administration, but so far the leaks about actual collusion are meagre.”

Then, the Washington Post published a major investigation that raised questions over whether Obama could have done more to stop Moscow’s interference in last year’s poll, quoting one former administration official as saying: “I feel like we sort of choked.”

That gave Trump the opening he needed, to deflect and disrupt the prevailing narrative.

“The real story is that President Obama did NOTHING after being informed in August about Russian meddling,” he tweeted. “With 4 months looking at Russia… under a magnifying glass, they have zero ‘tapes’ of T people colluding. There is no collusion & no obstruction. I should be given apology!”

He was handed another gift when CNN was forced to retract a report, citing a single anonymous source, that Congress was investigating a “Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials”. It changed nothing about the Russia-related cloud over Trump but it did feed into his narrative that untrustworthy media organisations are conspiring against him.

The president gloated: “So they caught Fake News CNN cold, but what about NBC, CBS & ABC? What about the failing @nytimes & @washingtonpost? They are all Fake News!”

Politico reported that Trump and his allies “believe he’s gained a tactical advantage in his war with the media” – which intensified over the weekend – adding that many White House staff members were “elated” by the CNN blunder, reckoning it will prove to sceptical voters that the mainstream media has a “vendetta” against the administration. The president’s supporters seized on the incident to plant seeds of confusion and false equivalency: if that Russia story was wrong, perhaps all of them are wrong?

Yet another lifeline was thrown to Trump from an unexpected quarter. The supreme court partially restored his executive order imposing a travel ban on six Muslim-majority countries and said it would hear arguments in the autumn. After setbacks in lower courts, the president was quick to crow about a “clear victory”.

Trump’s parallel universe also consists of speeches, bill signings, Oval Office photo ops and meetings with foreign leaders with whom he has, of late, stopped taking questions from the media, preferring to be lavished with praise that often jars with the national conversation. [snip]

But politics, after all, is often a battle of perceptions. Niall Ferguson, a British historian and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution in Stanford, California, said in May: “I think one of the things Guardian readers, and their counterparts on the American coasts, don’t want to think about is the possibility that despite his obvious ineptitude, Trump might actually be successful.

“I said last summer to a bunch of liberal friends: ‘Your worst nightmare is not a Trump presidency; it’s a successful Trump presidency.’ The successful Trump presidency scenario is one in which, despite it all, the economy does better thanks to deregulation and tax cuts, foreign policy delivers some big wins on North Korea, the Middle East.

“It doesn’t take an awful lot for a president to start looking good. If the expectations start really low, which they have done, it may be one win, and I definitely don’t rule out a kind of ‘success in spite of himself’ scenario. And then you begin to wonder if a left-of-Clinton Democrat in 2020 would be blown away. [snip]

Michael Barnett, chairman of the Republican party in Palm Beach County, Florida, said: “I haven’t seen Trump lose any bit of support on the ground here. I hear people say he’s not presidential but it looks like he is beginning to redefine what it means to be presidential. He’s not going to take it lying down but he’s going stand up for himself and give it back.”

He added: “We believe, just as President Clinton said, it’s all about the economy. That’s what people care about most, not Russia or climate change, but things that affect them personally like putting food on the table. If Trump focuses on that, he’ll win again in 2020.”

Trump’s string of wins – as he sees them – has emboldened him. This week, at his luxury hotel in Washington, he hosted his first re-election campaign fundraiser.

George Ajjan, a Republican consultant and strategist, said: “The early political burials of Trump and impeachment whispers were wishful thinking. Remember we are not even six months into his presidency – the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and most of the bowl is still untasted. The fixation of Trump’s enemies on Russia is not strategic: they are wasting their time hoping for a silver bullet made in Moscow.” [snip]

On Friday, there was another little noticed celebration in the Oval Office, as Trump signed an executive order reviving the National Space Council. Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, quipped: “Infinity and beyond.”

Perhaps not aware of the reference to Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear, Trump replied: “This is infinity here. It could be infinity. We don’t really don’t know. But it could be. It has to be something – but it could be infinity, right?”

  3. From the leftist The Atlantic:

How the Left Lost Its Mind

Polemicists, conspiracists, and outright fabulists are feeding an alternative media landscape—where the implausibility of a claim is no bar to its acceptance.

Last month, Democratic Senator Ed Markey delivered what seemed like an explosive bit of news during an interview with CNN: A grand jury had been impaneled in New York, he said, to investigate the Trump campaign’s alleged collusion with Russia.

The only problem: It wasn’t true.

The precise origins of the rumor are difficult to pin down, but it had been ricocheting around social media for days before Markey’s interview. The story had no reliable sourcing, and not a single credible news outlet touched it—but it had been fervently championed by The Palmer Report, a liberal blog known for peddling conspiracy theories, and by anti-Trump Twitter crusaders like Louise Mensch. Soon enough, prominent people with blue checkmarks by their names were amplifying it with “Big if true”-type Tweets. And by May 11, the story had migrated from the bowels of the internet to the mouth of a United States senator.

Lots of information there on the kook left.

  4. I like the CNN pummel the best.

They need to get that message.

People ARE angry about what they have been doing.

That article has lots of information that the writer inadvertently spilled. He is trying to write a timeline and rationalization but instead leaks out how Big Media has monetized crazy. CNN hired one of the worst gossips and sneaks away from the NYT (Lichtau) in the hopes of making green with a Pulitzer spit-shine on top of it. It cost them big, big bucks. The cretin Lichtau lasted a couple of months before he f’ed up so bad that they were looking at a 100 million dollar libel payout with another 50 million dollar legal bill with loads of discovery exposing their garbage PLUS Lichtau’s salary for a couple of years, two more buffoon’s salaries to get a non-disclosure out of all of them AND it was right in the middle of the negotiations of a merger! Talk about stupid and gross fiscal malfeasance. And greedy trying to cash in on middle school level fever dreams and cat lady level execution of these plans. All done to get another couple of hundred thousand viewers mostly away from MSNBC. Their audiences are teeny.

Then some schmuck at the Guardian has a lightbulb go off and thinks “What if Trump is successful?” Gee ya think. And the AmazonPost has a cute little story, tres jeune, about marijuana smoke and the stench if it permeating DC. Anxiety, stress, depression, hopelessness often lead to using substances to calm themselves down and mask the cognitive dissonance with poor decision making. I’m sure alcohol use as well as prescribed meds are off the charts too in DC as it dawns on them resistance, impeachment, winning an election, fundraising, etc is a fever dream pushed by Big Media looking for bucks. Saps.

  6. The media is stuck with Mika and Joe. Mika’s family has a running joke about her low SAT scores. The Brzensnski’s who are famous for being smart (not right just smart) had as all families do a village idiot. They told her don’t worry you are pretty (sort of) so make your way in the world the old fashioned way (on your back) and scheming at a much lower level than dear old dad. Mom Brezenski is a chain saw artist (strong like bull) but makes log thingies like a lumberjack so art was not an option for an academic’s ditz daughter (the fallback avocation of wealthy elites everywhere on what to do with the dumb girls) because don’t compete with mom.

Joe has always been a horn dog. In and out of trouble for it multiple times. Not good looking or smart enough to marry money and too lazy to make much, he has to take seconds and his resentment of it is palpable. In the latest Gutfeld show an old tape of Joe insulting a better man and his wife (ex-Senator, distinguished Watergate lawyer, and a pretty good actor Fred Thompson) by suggesting the Mrs could “work a pole” way back in 2007. What other than resentment, jealousy and a need to claw his way into sludge media could have prompted that typical “Joe-ism”? Who does Big Media call when slime-ing is needed? The dynamic duo of chasing a dollar bill through a trailer park Pyscho and Low IQ or now suggested as resembling closely Beavis and Butthead. Trump kill-shot-ted ’em.

  7. The media is now writing stories that illegal immigrants are “afraid” to come to the US. I don’t think “afraid” is the correct word and the writer is projecting their own insecurities . If illegal migrants are “afraid” it is because their investment of paying a cartel coyote won’t pay off not that they are “afraid” of being mistreated in a lock up of Border Patrol. The cost/benefit of illegal entry has been flipped by Trump. Paying a cartel member 3,000 to 10,000 to sneak in is not going to pay off in multitudinous ways as before and entering alone through brush land or desert will result in their death. Strangely the poor, disadvantaged, and helpless peon migrants understand economics (micro and macro) much better than the highly educated but clueless on investment returns/risk management rich kid journos. Math is hard and economics in real terms even harder so the media just ignore it. Cost/benefit rules and Trump is winning that game.

  8. The media is now writing stories that illegal immigrants are “afraid” to come to the US. I don’t think “afraid” is the correct word
Well then, if they are afraid, then they must be victims.

In which case those who believe in secure borders must be racist.

And the elites can virtue signal, buy cheap labor etc.

Then again, maybe they have something there.

I am running low on funds.

    Banks are rich.

The problem is, I am “afraid to rob a bank”.

Because I might get caught, convicted and sentenced.

Ergo I too must be a victim.

The only defect in that argument

Indeed, the only reason big media would not support

    This illegal behavior

Is because I am not a minority.

And they (the media) wonder why they are viewed as a joke.

What people do not realize yet is what a self serving, opportunistic and hypocritical one they are.

    Rubber Room, i.e.

Reassignment centers are holding facilities for the New York City Department of Education, where more than 600 teachers accused of misconduct have been paid to work full-time doing nothing for months or years at a time while awaiting resolution of their cases.[1] Among teachers they are referred to as rubber rooms.[2] (wiki)

That is what Big Media has become.

As Donnie Douchebag Deutch and Carl Berstein launch into hate filled diatribes against the president, and fellow panelist sit there and snicker while egging them on, and the rest of the world–ah yes, the real world passes all of them by, I think of how tragic it is that the small circle of psychoanalysts who once decorated the upper east side of Manhattan have died quit or retired. On the other hand, this is more of a job for Jack Kevorkian. Pray tell who will rid me of these fake journalists?

Austria ready to deploy army at Italy border

Austria will “very soon” impose border checks and deploy soldiers on its frontier with Italy if the influx of migrants across the Mediterranean does not slow, Vienna’s defence minister was quoted as saying Monday.

“I expect that very soon border controls will be activated and that a assistance deployment (by the military) will be requested,” Hans Peter Doskozil told the online edition of the Krone daily.

He was cited as saying that this move was “indispensible if the inflow into Italy does not ease”. The paper said that 750 soldiers were available and that four armoured vehicles had already been sent to the area over the weekend.

Austria introduced checks on its eastern border with Hungary in 2015 and has readied physical measures such as barriers on its Italian border in the south-west, including at the famous Brenner Pass.

Nearly 85,000 migrants and refugees have arrived in Italy by sea this year, the UN refugee agency said earlier Monday. More than 2,000 others have died or gone missing on the perilous crossing.

“This is not sustainable. We need to have other countries joining Italy and sharing that responsibility,” Vincent Cochetel, the UNHCR’S special envoy for the central Mediterranean, told reporters in Geneva.

The comments from the centre-left Doskozil come ahead of early elections in Austria in October when the anti-immigration far-right is forecast to do well and potentially emerge as the biggest party.

‘Kate’s Law’ battle shifts to the Senate, testing Dems

The fight over immigration enforcement is moving to the Senate, where Democratic opposition will be tested.

The House passed a pair of immigration bills late last week: “Kate’s Law” to increase maximum penalties for criminal aliens who attempt to re-enter the country, and a second bill cutting funding to cities that refuse to comply with federal immigration laws.

Republicans got an unexpected boost when two-dozen House Democrats voted for “Kate’s Law,” viewed by GOP supporters as a first step toward implementing President Trump’s campaign promises on immigration.

The defections came after House Democratic leaders said they wouldn’t twist arms to get their members to oppose the legislation. But the outcome is raising questions about whether Democratic senators up for reelection in 2018 will similarly break rank as the fight shifts to the upper chamber.

Senate Democrats are expressing confidence that they’ll be able to block the bills if they are brought up for a vote. [snip]

A top House Democratic aide predicted that “Kate’s Law” would be used in campaign ads against vulnerable Democrats.

The ad writes itself,” said the aide. “They’re gonna use Kate Steinle’s picture in a Willie Horton-style ad,” referring to a controversial 1988 TV ad used by President George H.W. Bush’s campaign against Michael Dukakis.

Red-state Democrats are remaining tightlipped about the two immigration bills amid the fight in the Senate over repealing ObamaCare. [snip]

“Nobody has changed their view on that to my knowledge. I’m not sure McConnell will even bring them up,” the aide said when asked if Democrats would be able to block the House bills similar to previous votes.

But Senate Republicans will likely face growing pressure to move a bill cracking down on illegal immigration after Trump praised the House-passed bill.

“Now that the House has acted, I urged the Senate to take up these bills, pass them, and send them to my desk. I am calling on all lawmakers to vote for these bills and to save American lives,” Trump said after the House’s vote.

Trump repeatedly invoked the shooting of 32-year old Steinle on the campaign trail to promote his immigration agenda, including during his speech at the Republican National Convention last summer when he accepted the party’s nomination.

Steinle was fatally shot in 2015 in San Francisco by a man who had had seven previous felony convictions and was deported to Mexico on five previous occasions. [snip]

There are already early signs that a vote for or against the bill would be prime fodder for the 2018 election, where Democrats are defending 25 seats and Republicans are only protecting eight.

Sen. Dean Heller (R-Nev.), up for reelection in a state won by Hillary Clinton, quickly hit two potential Democratic opponents for their votes against “Kate’s Law.”

“Congresswomen Dina Titus and Jacky Rosen disqualified themselves from public office. Let’s be clear, Congresswomen Titus and Rosen sided with violent criminals, some of which have committed horrendous crimes against Nevadans, over law enforcement and keeping our communities safe,” said Tommy Ferraro, a spokesman for Heller’s re-election campaign.

But Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who is also up for reelection, downplayed the chances that Democrats would help pass the bill as long as Republicans are unwilling to discuss broader immigration reforms.

Democrats are not going to stand for harsh anti-immigration measures, we’re not,” he said. “If they’re not willing to meaningfully dialogue with us about immigration reform, you’re not going to see us embracing their super-partisan anti-immigration bill.”

On July 4, 2017 the Dim Party suicide continues to kill.

The second is a 40 year old clip of the muppets. The music playing is from a later era (“We are the World”). The 3 muppets are singing the song, and an ugly bearded muppet keeps running up to them, saying “aloha snackbar” (whatever it is), and blowing things up. So 40 years ago, on children’s tv, it was okay to tell the truth…

  14. http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2017/07/04/john-kelly-15000-become-citizens-july-4-result-hard-work/
There is a profound difference between trespass and lawful entry.

The trespassers need to go to the back of the line.

If the trespassers attempt to vote, they shall be permanently barred from ever becoming citizens, and the same goes for their children.

They are a blessing to the country they came from and should be sent back there so they can make it better, rather than burdening our welfare rolls.

Oh sweet Jesus! Like I said before Trump has busted their OODA loop. They are at the hair on fire and screaming stage as they circle down the drain.

Money, which this is all about, has driven them to distraction. The CNN current value is about 40 to 55 per cent of their pre-November 2016 value (just a wild semi-educated guess) as their licenses, tech, hardware, real estate still has break up and sell value that is substantial. Their “talent”, management, programing is a bust and after this a net loss. Their personnel is actively devaluing the company. I’m sure they think they are saving it but alas they are driving it into a mega-hole. This might kill the merger. No one wants to acquire a lawsuit magnet, criminal probe, and PR nightmare. ATT should ask Time/Warner to pay them to take over and clean up CNN. I don’t think ATT is interested in doing that so CNN value as of this morning is MINUS ZERO as scrap value doesn’t outweigh legal liabilities.

I’d be interested to know who the loony doxer/blackmailer’s supervisor is? And where was the legal department? Did they think this was a good idea? Were they on vacation? Do they have telephones? Is everyone at CNN drunk? High? Have mental or learning disability problems? The OODA loop is busted and they can’t think straight. Or won’t listen. Or are all AWOL.

  16. I’d be interested to know who the loony doxer/blackmailer’s supervisor is? And where was the legal department? Did they think this was a good idea?
The only thing that makes remote sense to me is that CNN thinks they have legal ground to prevent others from (mis)using their logo?

Sooner or later the people wake up and overthrow monarchs and idiots who don’t care about them:

Austria ready to deploy army at Italy border

    Admin and friends here…

poor Italy…pretty soon Italy…and most of Europe…will no longer have their unique european identities and longer…how sad…our immigrant parents and grand parents must be turning over in their graves…traditions will be gone…

History will show that the EU allowed Europe to dissolve and disappate and opened its own citizens up to attacks and war with Libayans, Somalians, etc…young hormonal men hungry to do whatever they want, with no money, no jobs and no respect for women or the western traditions and lawful ways of life…

Even the UN recognizes that it is all young men entering Europe…I feel so sorry for the middle class europeans in italy, france, sweden, austria, etc, etc

there goes Sweden’s way of life…

Wake up Europe…thank goodness we have a President with common sense that is protecting the American people…

I like to think of PDT as a bulldozer…no matter what they throw at him…he just keeps plowing thru and bulldozing down all the leftist insanity…and protecting the USA…

i think divine intervention interceded to give us him at this time to Stop this madness…Hillary was ready to just open the floodgates with us paying for the bills…wow, we really dodged a bullet…

  18. Why are economists always so bad at predictions?

Meredith Sumpter, director of Asia for Eurasia Group, wrote in a note to clients Tuesday that the odds of a U.S. military strike on North Korea remain low—about a 10% probability—adding it would probably be well-signaled by the U.S. and “clear to outside observers in advance of any military move.”

Reality: The odds are high — about 90% — and it will be a surprise attack in the middle of the night.

Nope. Completely and obviously satire, which is fair use against a copyright claim.

The reality is that they likely either don’t consult their attorneys until they’ve really stuck their foot in it.

  20. http://thefederalist.com/2017/07/05/cnn-just-published-a-fake-quote-from-abraham-lincoln/

CNN Just Published A Fake Quote From Abraham Lincoln [snip]

The quote, which is also displayed at the Newseum, was interpreted as yet another attack from the media giant against the president. The Independent ran a story about it headlined, “CNN taunts Trump on July 4 with Abraham Lincoln quote on facts: The post did not mention the President, but it was obvious who it was directed at.

Critic and playwright Terry Teachout had a funny feeling about the quote. He asked Quote Investigator, the research operation headed by Garson O’Toole, to look into it: “This quote, though familiar, looks suspicious to me. Any thoughts?”

Three hours later, Quote Investigator had found a quote with some similarities, and some differences, to the one being put out by CNN: [snip]

CNN/Newseum’s version: “Let the people know the facts, and the country will be safe.”

Report from contemporaneous individual: “Let them know the truth, and the country is safe.”

Insofar as a hearsay quote should ever be tweeted out or inscribed in walls, at least it should be accurate. Particularly when it’s about “truth” and “facts.” We’ll leave aside discussions of how the great Abraham Lincoln’s record on press freedoms affects how he should be honored at the Newseum. The quote, in context, is about public opinion being so against the Civil War, due to what Lincoln said was people being misled, that they would have accepted disunion over a continued fight.

The conflation of “facts” and “truth” is perfect. Facts can be manipulated. Truth is much more difficult to attain. It might be factual that intelligence chiefs briefed President-elect Trump about a Russian dossier, for instance. But whether that fact is used to spin a Russian conspiracy hoax is where truthfulness is important.

It’s a long fact-check article which demonstrates that even when CNN fact-checks the fact-checks themselves are fake.

  21. One of our stupid inconsistencies is that we’ve always liked Lindsay Lohan. Yeah, she’s kinda sorta cray-cray plus, but we still like her. Maybe it’s ’cause of her early movies. Now though we have a solid reason to like and defend Lohan:

Lindsay Lohan tweeted out support for Donald Trump over the long July 4 holiday weekend, urging people to stop bullying the president.

On Monday, the actress replied to a tweet with a screenshot of a Breitbart article about Trump’s willingness to help Charlie Gard, a baby in Britain whose parents are unable to afford to keep him on life support.

“THIS IS our president,” Lohan tweeted. “Stop #bullying him & start trusting him. Thank you personally for supporting #THEUSA.”

In another tweet, the former “Mean Girls” star said that the Trump family “are kind people. As an American, why speak poorly of anyone?”

  22. Trump, Poland:

Poland Prepares ‘Absolutely Huge’ Welcome for Trump

Nation plans an elaborate reception for president as he gives a major speech in Warsaw this week

WARSAW—Like many of his fellow Polish pro-government lawmakers, Dominik Tarczynski is sending a busload of constituents to Warsaw on Thursday to cheer for President Donald Trump. The buses are being provided by a foundation close to the governing party.

“It’s going to be huge—absolutely huge,” Mr. Tarczynski said of the coming welcome for Mr. Trump. “They just love him, the people in Poland—they just really love him.”

Poland is working to put on a hero’s welcome for Mr. Trump as he prepares to give a major speech to thousands of Poles in a Warsaw square. Behind that effort is a recognition across the continent that Mr. Trump has the potential to change the balance of power in Europe.

President Barack Obama formed a close bond with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and backed her liberal worldview, her acceptance of immigrants, and her support for a deeply integrated European Union. Now it is nationalist governments such as Poland’s that hope Mr. Trump will see them as ideological kindred spirits and back their push to loosen the European Union and rebalance it away from Berlin.

“There’s this new success—Trump’s visit,” Jaroslaw Kaczynski, chairman of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice party, said at a party congress over the weekend. Tweaking European officials who are nervous that Mr. Trump’s visit could deepen the divide on the continent, Mr. Kaczynski went on: “They’re envious of it!”

Poland, where the conservative Law and Justice government took over in 2015, is locked in an escalating feud with the EU’s executive body in Brussels and with Western European capitals. The European Commission has said the government’s changes to the Polish judicial system, including appointing its own judges to the Constitutional Court, undermine the rule of law.

French President Emmanuel Macron suggested Poland was rejecting European democratic principles and treating the bloc like “a supermarket,” implying it is taking advantage of the EU without following all of its norms.

German politicians often slam Poland for failing to take in refugees and for reducing press freedoms.

In Mr. Trump, some Polish politicians and commentators see a leader who has campaigned against accepting refugees and criticized the EU and Germany’s influence in the bloc.

“Regarding refugees, the Polish government has the same position as Americans—we want strict restrictions on refugees,” said Krzysztof Mróz, a Law and Justice lawmaker who plans to dispatch two buses full of Trump fans—98 people—from his district at 2 a.m. on Thursday morning for the 300-mile drive to Warsaw. [snip]

In Western Europe, some officials worry that Mr. Trump will fan the flames of anti-immigrant, anti-European Union sentiment just like he endorsed Brexit ahead of the British referendum on leaving the EU last summer.

“It’s clear that what the Poles want is to turn their back on France and Germany,” a senior EU official said. “Trump is surely not helping.”

Polish officials say Mr. Trump’s visit isn’t about deepening the east-west gulf in the EU, but about backing up Poland on issues including countering Russia and on energy security.

“I don’t think there is a justification to connect the visit of President Trump in Poland to the concept of dividing Europe,” Mr. Waszczykowski said. “He’s going, just by his presence, to appreciate our efforts, appreciate our achievements.” [snip]

The preparations for Mr. Trump’s visit—a welcome that Mr. Tarczynski said will be far more “emotional” than Warsaw’s receptions for Mr. Obama—are the latest example of countries jockeying for advantage as the U.S. president puts past American foreign-policy tenets into question. In addition to speaking to Poles at a public square, Mr. Trump will address 12 central European, Baltic, and Western Balkan leaders who are gathering in Warsaw.

Several organizations close to the Law and Justice party are also drumming up supporters to cheer for Mr. Trump. One of them, the nationalist Gazeta Polska Clubs, is touting Mr. Trump’s address in Warsaw on Thursday as comparable to John F. Kennedy’s “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech of 1963.

Mr. Kaczynski, Poland’s most powerful politician, even posed in a red “Make America Great Again” baseball cap in April, a Trump trademark. He did so in a meeting with Matthew Tyrmand, a Polish-American journalist who has written about Poland for the conservative U.S. outlet Breitbart News.

“You’re dealing with a political dynamic in Poland on the ground that understands Trumpian populism,” Mr. Tyrmand said. Mr. Trump’s trip, Mr. Tyrmand said, “has huge implications for reshaping the geopolitics in a new presidential era.”

U.S. officials say Mr. Trump’s trip will be about strengthening trans-Atlantic bonds and supporting one of America’s staunchest allies. Poland is one of the few North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies to meet the organization’s target of spending 2% of its gross domestic product on defense, White House national security adviser H.R. McMaster said last week.

CNN will focus on something about ice cream served in the White House instead of Trump in Poland.

  23. Bill Gates states the obvious and the world’s progressives scratch their head. ““The more generous you are, the more word gets around about this – which in turn motivates more people to leave Africa.” Indeed the soft-touch reputation of Europe is building up the number of potential African migrants to an alarming degree.” http://www.express.co.uk/comment/columnists/leo-mckinstry/825333/immigration-warning-Bill-Gates-border-foreign-influx Bill fails to mention his own part in this unfolding disaster. Of course he does.

Africa has never supported a large population. There are many reasons for this over billions of years. The weather is one of the reasons. Also the soil. While it has great minerals the soil for agriculture is only so-so in a few areas. The rest of it is desert, thin poor quality top soil, weird topography, and a few areas of super fertile land in isolated areas with decent climate like the upper Nile or South Africa. The rest can support human life just not very many of them.

Since the introduction of “foreign aid” which was resources shipped in to cover the horrors of famine or Africa’s never ending tribal wars invariably started over resource scarcity since the dawn of time there has been an explosion in the population. The push north to Europe for more cheap or free resources which Africa has come to expect is now the result. One wonders if Gates and his ilk understand the role their philanthropy played in this or not. Or if he understands that professional do-gooders, of which he employs many, have monetized economic and social migrants and that is now the new slavery.

Catching on to cause and effect this late is very dangerous. Gates is still “dancing around the margins” in his cri de coeur. Merkel wants more free resources thrown (her solution for everything as it isn’t her money or sweat or sacrifice) at Africa which will exacerbate the problems. Gates wants to retain his social justice welfare bona fides as a sop to his conscience of being a greedy, unscrupulous slaver of an employer and monopolist. The complete ruination of TWO continents is at stake. A depopulated Africa and a nightmare Europe starting world wars again. Now the really important issue. Do Bill and Angela feel good about themselves?

  24. Extortion: Extortion is the crime of obtaining money or property by threat to a victim’s property or loved ones, intimidation, or false claim of a right.

    What Is Extortion?

“Most states define extortion as the gaining of property or money by almost any kind of force, or threat of 1) violence, 2) property damage, 3) harm to reputation, or 4) unfavorable government action. While usually viewed as a form of theft/larceny, extortion differs from robbery in that the threat in question does not pose an imminent physical danger to the victim.

Extortion is a felony in all states. Blackmail is a form of extortion in which the threat is to expose embarrassing and damaging information to family, friends, or the public. Inherent in this common form of extortion is the threat to expose the details of someone’s private lives to the public unless money is exchanged.

Another common extortion crime is offering “protection” to a businessman to keep his business safe from burglary or vandalism.

I didn’t look up any specific statutes in the CNN “matter” (thanks Lo-Retta for such a telling and useful term) because so many could apply such as NY (Time/Warner/CNN corporate), GA (CNN management and tech offices), DC or VA (the apparatchik turds physical home offices) and the big Kahuna the federal definition along with conspiracy, wire or mail statutes, and RICO. The general progressive fascist whine says it didn’t involve MONEY. Oh but it does mon frere. It involves ratings (money), advertisers (money), merger (money) and salaries (money). Not to mention status (money) and stock price (money).

“the gaining of property or money by almost any kind of force, or threat” is the causation and crux of the entire oppo search by CNN. They did it all to save their bacon (money).

  25. Why exactly was CNN so bold with their dash, swaggering and courageous in your face “extortion” that only a mental defective and clown would love? Ignorance? Gall? Legal department on vacation? How about Fake News?

Since they got caught red handed making shit up about Anthony Scaramucci, got slapped silly, suffered a great set down, had to shit-can some “status” Pulitzer level staff, how to recover their reputation and edge and ratings? Why double down of course like all fools and idiots do frequently. Did they just make up their terrorizing an unknown internet shit talker, print a ridiculous groveling (and imaginary) apology that only a fantasizing teenager would love (and not see the cause/effect blowback) and had seen in the Revenge of the Nerds movies (or was it Batman?). And of course they won’t expose their fantasy villain and cause of so much harm and distress because…..they are good! And they don’t have a real person to blame because they made it up. Like all frauds it gets exposed because there is no villain in fake news with fake CNN as victim and “that guy” who “made them do it”. There is something seriously off about this whole mess and this is simply a possible scenario which is based on recent CNN staff behavior and poor hiring practices as well as the obvious maturity level and cognitive ability of “management” staff in the Project Veritas videos. Idiots and liars hire other idiots and liars in other words.

  26. foxy…

Melania is the epitome of a woman who wears her clothes…her clothes certainly do not wear her…
She simply looks fabulous in everything she wears…what a statesque figure she has…perfect proportions…and a beautiful face…and a kind personality…the beauty Gods were generous towards her…

  27. earlier today I tweeted that CNN had opened Pandora’s box…and it reminded me of a video clip that is on twitter of a male seahorse…in a rarity in nature, the male seahorse actually gets pregnant and gives birth and when he does thousands of little seahorses spring out of him in a flurry and swim for their lives…

this reminds me of CNN trying to censor the originator of the boxing meme…try as CNN might to silence him, that Seahorse, er Reddit poster, has spawned hundreds of other CNN take downs…many funnier than the next…

there is now way CNN can stop it or talk their way out of it…better for them to just ‘zip it’, starting with the child-man, Acosta…just stop trying to out ‘acosta’ the Prez little man, you will not win with your rebellion…

CNN has created a ‘monster’ and to their surprise, ‘it is them’

    example of comments:

“CNN is a tabloid masquerading as a legitimate news organization. Its ‘reports’ are littered with opinion, and it spends too much time trying to convince its readers/viewers what they should think instead of simply keeping them informed about what is happening in the world (and letting them make up their own minds),” one of the thousands of one-star reviews stated. “Thus far I have had no trouble accessing the biased filth I have come to expect from this once-proud organization. It’s a bit like having a waiter on-hand to feed me all the pig excrement I can eat: the service is nice, but the product is horrible.”

“If I could give negative stars, I would. What used to be a respectable, if not left leaning news source has become as far left as Breitbart is far right,” one recent reviewer wrote. “It’s become a satire of itself and of journalism as a profession. I’m glad the world can finally see CNN for the circus show it’s become.”

  28. Time for visit by the Secret Service. This b|tch needs to be taken down.

“Linda Sarsour, a Palestinian-American anti-Israel activist who helped organize the nationwide Women’s March the day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, called for “jihad,” or holy war, against the Trump administration last weekend.
Sarsour was speaking in Chicago at the annual conference of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), a group that the Investigative Project on Terrorism notes was an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a terror-funding prosecution, and was allegedly “created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood” in the United States in the early 1980s. (However, the group itself traces its origins to the formation of the Muslim Student Association in 1963.)

ISNA has been described as “the largest umbrella group of Muslims in North America.” President Barack Obama met with ISNA’s president in 2015, despite the group’s controversial views and alleged ties to radical movements.”

  29. VP Mike Pence is to join Hannity tonight.

  30. every now and then something just cracks me up and indulge me to bring it here…

Brian Stelter is probably one of the most annoying people on TV (how in the hell did this guy land that job), he is so sure of his pompous self and doesn’t seem to get that he is goofy and jerky, imo his counterpart at Fox is Chris Stirewalt…they are almost interchangeable

anyway evidently he is getting a lot of abuse recently for some of his santimonious comments (he never sees the irony of his own hypocrisy) and I was looking at some of the comments over at:

among other things he is known as “Costanza” and ‘Media Mouse’

I wanted to bring some of the comments here but it won’t let me… copy and paste, if you want a few good laughs, take a look at the comments towards Stelter and his side kick, Acosta…the two “whiners who have hissy fits and throw tantrums”

    too funny…

    From watching Fox Cable News:
Merkel insisted that protest area be close to #G20 meetings.
More than once it’s been suggested she may be having regrets.

  41. Merkel’s plans seem to always lead to chaos, and she either hasn’t caught on to know ahead of time or doesn’t care… thank heavens Trump emerged in the 11th hour, because absolutely we would have lost western (any) civilization…

  42. Angela Merkel has lost control of her country…these images, this destruction, the injuries to her police…her police have lost control of these mobs…

the very fact that the First Lady of the USA could not attend a function because it was unsafe for her to leave her hotel because of violent “protestors” outside her door…that is disgraceful…

and let’s not kid ourselves, i may have mentioned it, but i am sure others…especially the people in Germany, are thinking the same damn thing…how many of these dangerious and destructive people in the streets were people Merkel invited into Germany…and now she has lost complete control

and she seems to be oblivious while she stages her “guests” into proper protocol for photo opps…

omg…poor Germany…add them to the list, poor Italy, Austria, Sweden, France, Brussels…but Merkel asked for it, she has tried to force all these migrants on the other countries and now she is reaping what she sowed.

Old Europe is going, going…almost gone

  43. after looking at all those photos, it dawns on me that Merkel dresses like Hillary…same sense of style…

  44. Melania looks like she is a big hit at this G20

(if this was MO we would be hearing about it nonstop)

  45. I thought Trump has been excellent so far on this G20 summit. The fake media will never give the guy credit no matter what he does. I think he is growing into a statesman (not the traditional kind) and the only way he can achieve his goals is to keep going to the people and avoiding the MSM until they decide that the majority of Americans could give a flying —- about the fake Russia scandal and are more concerned with our nations security, better jobs, and doing something, anything, to reduce our healthcare premiums.

Merkel is blamed for violence in Hamburg

Raging street battles that marred Germany’s G20 summit have sparked a political fight over how Hamburg could descend into “mob rule” and why Chancellor Angela Merkel chose a hotbed of leftist militancy as the venue.

Germany’s top-selling Bild daily was withering in its condemnation of the chaos that saw far-left and anarchist radicals torch rows of cars, loot shops and hurl rocks and bottles from burning barricades at riot police.

“One should use with caution the words ‘failure of the state’. Sadly, it applies in Hamburg,” the newspaper thundered Saturday, slamming the summit as a “debacle”.

“Of course the police did all it could. But the street belonged to the mob. The feeling of general security that the state must guarantee has ceased to exist in Hamburg over the last 48 hours.”

The harsh criticism came as 20,000 police in the city where Merkel was born braced for a third day of protests against the meeting where she hosted US President Donald Trump, Russia’s Vladimir Putin and other world leaders.

Just behind the tightly-secured G20 summit venue, charred road barricades, trashed shops and stones, debris and shattered glass bore testimony to an anarchic night, when police commandoes with semi-automatic weapons detained militants who hurled rocks from rooftops.

“The terrible message of Hamburg is: When the mob wants to rule, it will,” said Bild.

    ‘Destruction across city’

One police union blamed Merkel and Hamburg mayor Olaf Scholz for allowing the chaos, which left over 200 police and as yet unknown numbers of protesters injured, and for choosing the city in the first place.

“The politicians carry the sole responsibility for the many injured police officers and the destruction across the city,” the union’s Hamburg chairman Jan Reinecke told news weekly Der Spiegel.

Criticism also came from Merkel’s conservative camp, with Bavarian CSU politician Hans-Peter Uhl charging that “the G20 summit should never have been held in a city of millions like Hamburg. Security is way too difficult to control there.”

Merkel’s government had long argued that it chose the northern port city, which dubs itself Germany’s cosmopolitan “Gateway to the world”, because it symbolised G20 core values from open trade to an internationalist outlook.

Rather than choose a remote rural location, as has been the norm in recent years, G20 leaders would show they are not a power elite that hides away from the people.

Some also saw the G20 summit, years in the planning, as a dress-rehearsal as Hamburg bid for the 2024 Olympics – an effort the people of Hamburg later torpedoed in a referendum.

Finally, there was the question of logistics, officials explained: no countryside retreat, island or cruise ship is big enough to host a mega-event with over 10,000 delegates.

    ‘Worst fears come true’

Signs of looming trouble appeared late last year as stickers and posters went up on walls that vowed to “Smash G20” and promised a “Welcome to Hell” – the title of the first protest last Thursday that quickly deteriorated into street clashes.

They point to Hamburg’s dual identity, both a wealthy and leafy port city and a decades-old hotbed of leftist activists home to famous former squats like the Hafenstrasse and Rote Flora.

Some 30 separate anti-G20 rallies have ranged from peaceful marches and street parties with thumping techno beats to non-violent road blockades and boat protests – to the ugliest violence that flared after nightfall.

The protest coalition BlockG20, which holds G20 leaders responsible for ills from war and poverty to climate change, hailed it all “a victory”, having delayed delegations and trapped US First Lady Melania Trump in a lakeside residence for hours.

They also accused police of excessive violence, with spokesman Christian Blank saying “police beat us, attacked us with pepper spray and water cannon, but despite the violence of state power, we did not give up”.

“The streets belong to the protesters, not the summit,” declared the coalition’s Jana Schneider.

Spiegel Online judged that Merkel, who faces elections on September 24, “must realise that it is mostly pictures of burning cars and black-clad radicals that will be remembered from the G20 summit”.

“Many had warned against hosting such a huge event in a major city with a left-wing radical scene. Now the worst fears have come true – and a dark shadow has been cast over the summit shortly before the national election.”

  49. How Hillary may yet find her way to JAIL…

Hillary Clinton has repeatedly managed to escape from the arms of the law, but it appears that this time the former Democratic presidential nominee may be brought to justice, according to Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel, and it’s not the Clinton email case or her “pay-to-play” scheme.

What Prevents IRS, FBI From Catching the Clintons Red-Handed

So, what prevented the IRS and FBI from catching the Clintons given their suspicious charity record?

“Normally, the IRS holds enormous power when it chooses to investigate a charity whose public filings seem suspect,” Ortel noted, adding that, similarly, the FBI has enough sophisticated resources to “scan” a charity.

There were reports that the Clinton Foundation had been investigated by the IRS and FBI but, surprisingly, these inquiries have not borne any fruit.

“The first investigation of the Clinton Foundation that I find mentioned in the public domain was conducted by the FBI from 2001 through 2005. … During this time, two gentlemen now in the news were involved: James Comey was US attorney and then deputy attorney general of the Justice Department, while Bob Mueller was head of the FBI,” Ortel said.

Maybe here is the answer to the question.

“The Clintons have had decades to insert their allies into the IRS, the FBI and Justice, as well as into key state government positions,” the analyst noted, “So, until now, the Clintons, the Obamas and others have been able to blunt comprehensive inquiries that likely will expose bipartisan wrongdoing.”

    Worth agood read…

  50. “Accusations that Trump is somewhat incompetent or that he is a novice, can be classified as delusional trash,” Peskov told the Russia 1 news channel. “Trump is not some simpleton. He has expert knowledge, he is a very determined negotiator and skillful at using his knowledge to put his position across.””

“We can now confidently declare that this was a win-win encounter,” said Peskov.”

  51. The left has won the culture war.

But the left has lost the battle for the future.

Because there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in their vile bullshit philosophy, which lacks common sense and realism.

Bottom line: when it comes to competence, the left cannot pour piss out of a boot if it had the instructions on the bottom side.

    Case in point?

The blue states, drowning in a sea of red ink.

Orwell understood that the Left’s ultimate ability was to uproot the past and plant their chosen seed for the future. His famous dictum “he who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past” is an unsurpassed indictment of groupthink totalitarianism. There seemed no doubt they would succeed. Within its bubble, the Left’s control of culture is so absolute they can watch 1984 without realizing it’s about them.

Yet the real mystery — one which even Orwell himself did not anticipate — is why,

Hillary Still Searching for the Meaning of Life in 2018 Elections
Look around you. Every single country that adopted socialism as an economic system went bankrupt. The Soviet Union collapsed. Now the Western Gramscian project is self-immolating in the fires of its own absurdity. The current political crisis is the collective shudder of mortality passing through “every university, newspaper, TV network, Hollywood studio, publisher, education school and museum in the nation.” The left may have “wrapped up the culture war two generations ago,” but it is rotting inside the wrapping.

The search is on for the regicide.

The only thing one can be sure of is that the Republican Party didn’t cause it; nor did their tame and feeble publications. In fact, not even publications like Breitbart, valiant though their efforts were, can claim credit. Trump couldn’t have done it either, since the proud tower that Gerlenter describes would have been impervious to the mere touch of the orange-hued real estate mogul without some other factor in play.

Yet most of us know who did it, though we hesitate to name the obvious suspect. The Left, even in its downfall, has stilled our tongues. The word comes to the edge of our lips before we choke it back, fearful even now of the ridicule and abuse we will get should we blurt it. That word is God. God killed the Left. Of course one could legitimately use some other term. “Reality,” “consequences,” the “laws of nature,” “economics,” even “truth” will do. Through some process of increasing entropy, failed memory management, or unanticipated side effects, the status quo — the one dominated by the Left — is collapsing.

But whatever name one chooses for the cause, it is functionally the same thing. God is the simpler and more transgressive term. The Left is losing because it failed, it lost the Mandate of Heaven, as the Chinese would say; went the way of the buggy whip and the slide rule; missed the boat in the paradigm shift.

Orwell’s metaphorical boot on the human face rotted away as it has done so many times before because time moves on and every dog has its day. Politics may be downstream of culture but history is downstream of them all, the river which bears away the all-conquering creeds. 1984 has come and gone many times before. The annals of humanity are littered with the tales of kings and politicians who thought they could control destiny, always won the culture wars — yet ultimately failed before the mysterious complexity of reality. They perished and never knew why. Only ordinary men survive the kings, wondering in their simplicity what Saturday Night Live ever was.
