The two best arguments against the Paris Climate “Agreement”: 1) Why would anyone sign on to a treaty with the same creeps who won’t pay their dues to NATO? 2) The Paris Climate “Agreement” is not about climate. The Paris Climate Treaty is a globalist scheme for distribution of wealth.

Easy answer for anyone with the slightest bit of common sense: If they won’t live up to their obligations to NATO, they won’t live up to their Paris Treaty obligations.

As to argument #2, indeed, The Paris Climate “Agreement” is a globalist scheme for distribution of wealth. Want proof? Take a look at what the “agreement” states:

Governments decided that they will work to define a clear roadmap on ratcheting up climate finance to USD 100 billion by 2020 while also before 2025 setting a new goal on the provision of finance from the USD 100 billion floor.

Ms. Figueres said. “We have seen unparalleled announcements of financial support for both mitigation and adaptation from a multitude of sources both before and during the COP. Under the Paris Agreement, the provision of finance from multiple sources will clearly be taken to a new level, which is of critical importance to the most vulnerable.”

Yeah, right. A 100 billion dollar “floor” of payments to “underdeveloped” dictatorships and corrupt regimes. Then the 100 billion dollar “floor” of flowing “finance” will increase. Who will pay the hundreds of billions of dollars? It won’t be those “developed” countries that won’t pay their dues to NATO. It will be the United States that will be expected to pay most of the hundreds of billions of dollars.

What will be “gained” in temperature reductions from the Paris Agreement after corrupt regimes in “underdeveloped” countries get billions of American dollars? Other than the destruction of America, nothing on lowered climate:

In a new peer-reviewed paper, I measured the impact of all of the biggest carbon-cutting commitments being made before the summit. It shows that the current EU climate policy – the so-called 20/20 policy, which promised to cut emissions to 20 per cent below 1990-levels – will achieve very little. Even if the EU maintains its cuts all the way through the century and even if none of its cuts are exported (which for now seems wildly unrealistic), the reduction in temperature rise by the end of the century is a miniscule 0.026°C.

With the EU’s new promise to cut by 40 per cent by 2030, you might imagine that it would do a lot more to tackle global warming. But the effect – even if fully adhered throughout the century and with no CO₂ exporting – will be to reduce temperature rises by the end of the century by another 0.027°C.

And if we measure the impact of every nation fulfilling every promise by 2030, the total temperature reduction will be just 0.048°C by 2100. Even if we are overly optimistic and assume that every one of these promises would be not only fulfilled but extended for another 70 entire years, and there is no “CO₂ leakage” to non-committed nations, all the Paris promises will achieve is to reduce temperature rises by just 0.17°C by 2100.

The Paris Agreement is a globalist wealth transfer scheme. The globalists know they can’t openly declare “let’s give small corrupt countries we control hundreds/thousands of billions of dollars”. So the globalists slyly squeal “let’s save the environment by giving hundreds of billions of dollars” to corrupt regimes. The Paris “Agreement” is a tool to fool the gullible.

The United States under the Paris “Agreement” would once again find the court system used to attack its own citizens. Under the Paris “Agreement” lawsuits would be unleashed. The Paris “Agreement” would be used by America haters disguised as climate activists to attack American industry and workers.

The Paris “Agreement” would also exempt nations like China and India from punishments for violations of the non-existent requirements. The United States would bear all the burdens, to achieve nothing on lowered global temperatures, but would destroy the American economy.

The Paris “Agreement” was also a massive transfer of power and American sovereignty to unelected globalist bureaucrats. Too many Americans have died to preserve our freedoms to let this soft coup occur. American President Donald J. Trump will not let that happen.

    Even though Maine is at high risk for the Islamic ritual.

    Maine GOP Rep. Heather Sirocki is sponsoring bill LD745 which would make the Islamic ritual of female genital mutilation (FGM) a crime. However, the American Civil Liberties Union is very much opposed to the legislation.

    Sirocki says Maine is a high-risk area in America for FGM and happens so often that the federal government sends special funds to help the state. The bill would make FGM a Class B crime which carries a $20,000 fine and up to 10 years in prison. In addition, the bill punishes parents and/or guardians of the victim and criminalizes “vacation cutting” — where the victim is flown overseas to have the “procedure.”

    According to The Daily Caller, the ACLU “staunchly opposes the protection.”

    “ACLU spokesman Oamshri Amarasingham said that the risk of mutilation isn’t worth expanding Maine’s criminal code,” the report states. “The Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault also supported the ACLU, arguing that FGM is not happening in Maine.”

    But Sirocki said, “Federal prosecutors take a very small amount of cases. The state of Maine deals with thousands of cases. If a situation would occur and this is the issue, if the federal government doesn’t have enough prosecutors, it doesn’t get prosecuted.”

    The bill will be reviewed by the state house of representatives before heading for final approval in the state senate. If it passes, the DC notes, Maine becomes the 25th state to criminalized FGM.

    According to a 2012 Center for Disease Control report, there were 500,000 FGM victims in the United States. Since 2003, almost 800 have violated FGM laws nationwide and been deported. There have been at least 400 additional arrests.

    But the ACLU doesn’t think it’s that big a deal.

    The Justice Department petitioned the Supreme Court late Thursday to immediately reinstate President Trump’s extreme vetting policy, asking the justices to erase injunctions issued by several lower courts.

    Mr. Trump’s lawyers said the president was acting within his national security powers when he issued his executive order in March halting admissions of most visitors from six majority-Muslim countries with ties to terrorism, and pausing admissions of refugees.

    “We have asked the Supreme Court to hear this important case and are confident that President Trump’s executive order is well within his lawful authority to keep the Nation safe and protect our communities from terrorism,” Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores said in a statement announcing the filing.

    Federal courts in Hawaii and Maryland have blocked various parts of the executive orders. The Maryland judge’s decision has since been upheld by the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, while the 9th Circuit is considering an appeal of the Hawaii judge’s ruling.

    The Trump administration has asked the justices to take the case and swiftly erase both injunctions, allowing the policy to take effect.

    Justice Department lawyers said Congress has granted the president wide latitude to decide who is allowed to be admitted to the U.S.

    But judges — primarily those appointed by Democratic presidents — have faulted Mr. Trump for his campaign rhetoric promising a ban on Muslims, saying that even though the current order is not such a ban, the “animus” then-candidate Trump showed toward a religion still taints his actions today.

    Mr. Trump’s lawyers said the court made a mistake by “attempting to delve into the president’s supposed true motives and pointed to the president’s speech last week in Saudi Arabia where “decried ‘the murder of innocent Muslims.’”

    Trump backers point to myriad majority-Muslim countries that aren’t singled out in the executive order as evidence it’s not animated by antipathy toward a religion, and Justice Department lawyers say many immigration decisions involve dividing persons based on their country of origin.

    The court erred in invalidating a religion-neutral order of the President not because of what it says or does, but because of what supposedly motivated the President (and his advisors) in issuing it,” the lawyers said.

    In petitioning the high court, Mr. Trump sets up the first major test for newly installed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch.

    The case is also likely to be a challenge for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., who famously upheld Obamacare by refusing to look at President Obama’s rhetoric insisting the law wasn’t a tax. Instead, the Chief Justice, joined by four Democratic-appointed justices, said the law on its face was a tax no matter what Mr. Obama had said, so it was constitutional under the federal government’s taxing power.

    In the case of the vetting order, Mr. Trump argues that regardless of campaign rhetoric, his latest version was carefully drawn to meet courts’ demands, and is on its face legal.

    The revised order would put a 90-day halt to most admissions of visitors from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — each country that was initially identified by Mr. Obama and the previous Congress as needing special scrutiny.

    The revised order also imposes a 120-day pause on refugee admissions.

    Civil liberties groups urged the high court to leave the lower court injunctions in place, saying those judges are serving as a check against a president trying to target a religion.

    “Again and again, our nation’s courts have found that President Trump’s Muslim ban is unconstitutional,” said Karen Tumlin, legal director of the National Immigration Law Center.

    New poll: only 3% of Trump voters regret their vote

    Within weeks of the November 2016 U.S. presidential election, social media posts expressing voters’ second thoughts began trending. While some Donald Trump voters felt he was backtracking on initial hard-line positions, the Huffington Post and other websites reported on hashtags such as #Trumpgrets — used by voters irked that his campaign persona was not simply an act to win votes. A subsequent wave of regretful Trump voters tweeted about executive orders they perceived as misguided and dangerous.

    Even more nuanced mainstream news stories included such headlines as “These Iowans voted for Trump. Many of them are already disappointed” or comments that “a significant segment of Trump’s coalition is not entirely enchanted with his actions or public persona.”

    In contrast, polls seem to suggest that the 45th president enjoys historically high approval ratings among members of his party. Other journalists report continuing enthusiasm from the small towns that delivered his strongest electoral support.

    Which story is closer to the truth? How many Trump supporters continue to support him enthusiastically? How many continue to support him but are disturbed by many of his actions? How many genuinely regret their vote?

    Here’s how we did our research

    Our Mood of the Nation Poll from Penn State’s McCourtney Institute of Democracy provides answers. Conducted by YouGov, the poll tracks the mood of the public through traditional survey questions and numerous open-ended questions that allow citizens to express themselves in their own words. The poll’s methodology is described here.

    Our Feb. 23-27 poll asked a nationally representative sample of 1,000 Americans to report on how they cast their vote in November. The results of these reports closely align with other national polls, with Hillary Clinton voters comprising 49 percent of the sample, Trump voters 46 percent, with 3 percent and 2 percent for minor-party candidates Gary Johnson and Jill Stein, respectively.

    Who would vote differently?

    On the next screen, we asked everyone, “Suppose you could go back in time and vote again in the November election. What would you do?”

    Respondents were presented with the same choices — Trump, Clinton, Stein, Johnson, someone else, or not vote at all. Of the 339 poll participants who originally voted for Trump, only 12 (3½ percent) said they would do something different.

    Only three individuals (fewer than 1 percent of Trump voters) said that, could they go back in time, they would cast their vote for Clinton. Seven said they would vote for one of the minor-party candidates.

    When we asked why, most regretful Trump voters pointed specifically to his performance as president. (Misspellings are original.)

    “He has moved kinda fast with the immagration ban, and abortion law.”

    “I don’t like his decisions so far.”

    “Trump’s actions since the inaugeration.”

    “… Trump cannot get out of his own way. He won’t stop running his mouth and has no humility.”

    These sentiments echo regrets highlighted in social media. But they are too few to conclude that Trump’s electoral coalition has somehow eroded. Moreover, of the already small number of Trump voters expressing regret, only one in four would have shifted their support to the Democratic nominee.

    In short, the 45th president’s electoral coalition remains intact.

    What would Trump voters tell him now, if they could?

    But maybe the coalition has weakened. After all, even if they would not now switch their vote to Clinton, many Trump voters may harbor serious reservations..

    To find out, we asked all those sticking with Trump, “If you could send a message to President Trump, what would it be?”

    We did this to give Trump voters the opportunity to ask the president to tone things down, act more presidential, identify issues of importance to them or express support.

    Of the 327 Trump voters who would vote for him again, only 42 (or 13 percent) asked him to start behaving more presidential. Typical was a 51-year-old woman from Virginia who said she would tell the president, “Continue with your agenda but stop tweeting.”

    Similarly, an 81-year-old man from Florida offered this advice, “Maybe cut down on the Twitter’s and keep your head up you are doing fine.”

    Other supporters offered advice like:

    “don’t talk too much”

    “think before you speak!”

    “Please drop the war on the fake news media, and concentrate more on the real issues.”

    We could identify only seven Trump voters who would send a really strong message. One 47-year-old man from Alabama wrote,

    I would ask him to get off his high NY horse and get down to basics and stop lying, cheating, stealing, blowing his horn and get with the proper Cabinet and get this country back on its feet. We don’t need a wall, but we do need to stop immigration…

    Yet these messages were dwarfed by the enormous show of support for the president among those who voted for him. Many, like this 61-year-old independent from Wisconsin, expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for what you are doing for our country. Keep up the good work. Don’t cave under pressure.”

    The largest number of Trump voters sampled — representing millions of voters — asked the president to “stay strong,” “keep it up,”“hang in there” or “stay the course.” Many simply expressed their feelings as fans, as with the respondent who wrote, “Go Donald Go!” Others expressed excitement and pleasure over his performance, as with the voters who wrote:

    “Keep up the good work…continue draining the swamp to bring America back to her greatness.”

    “You are doing a wonderful job. Keep on doing what you are doing. The American people are behind you. Only those who do not respect what you are dissenting.”

    No regrets

    The Mood of the Nation Poll shows clearly that media attention to the #trumpregrets phenomenon is very misleading. For Trump’s supporters, any news reports that his first weeks as president have been rocky, unpresidential or worse have hardly mattered. There is virtually no regret.

    While his governance has galvanized opposition groups and his overall approval level remains low by historical standards, his electoral base is not only intact but enthusiastic and energized, providing Trump with a significant base of power. Those who fail to recognize this may find themselves underestimating his capabilities in governance in the same way that many underestimated his candidacy.

    As we repeatedly write, the continued support of President Trump electoral base is the only thing that matters. All the beatings by Big Media are ignored or mocked by Trump supporters. Trump supporters who get nervous thinking that other Trump supporters might be fooled by Big Media are misguided.

    Notice also that this poll is a YouGov poll which is heavily biased against Trump. Also note that this poll was taken before the astounding speech in which President Trump promised to care about Pittsburgh, not what Paris wants.

    That even the Washington Post recognizes that Trump supporters continue to strongly support Trump is astonishing. It is astonishing because the Washington Post finally realizes reality cannot be denied and that all their attacks against Trump only solidify Trump’s support among his base voters.

Then there are volcanoes which affect weather cycles and we are seeing increased activity.

    So Obama’s model for “challenges”, accords, commissions, bullshit councils, etc is breaking down. He brought it from Chicago where he had made a small living off of it for a long while before nationalizing it. The Europeans had monetized the basic scam after WWII. While there is nothing wrong with that, there is nothing special either. Without the magic the contest between them was suddenly no longer between a mere mortal and the “smartest woman in the world” but between a reality TV host and a granny, a much closer fight. On that leveled field, even Trump’s randomness actually seemed an advantage: a willingness to punch buttons that Hillary would never dare attempt. While that could make things worse, voters in 2016 were desperate enough to try something new.

Using the Comey files they can be fairly certain they are not getting another Comey as an “interim,” and they do not have to wait for the circus of appointing a new permanent “director” through congressional approval. Most of the heavy lifting on rooting out FBI corruption and starting investigations into the swamp will be done by the “interim” before a new director is appointed.     One of the Justices already has expressed a view on Trump’s credibility. In July 2016, Justice Ruth Bader Ginbsburg was quoted in a CNN interview deriding Trump as “a faker”:

He says whatever comes into his head at the moment. He really has an ego. … How has he gotten away with not turning over his tax returns? The press seems to be very gentle with him on that.” ….

    “At first I thought it was funny,” she said of Trump’s early candidacy. “To think that there’s a possibility that he could be president … ” Her voice trailed off gloomily.

    “I think he has gotten so much free publicity,” she added, drawing a contrast between what she believes is tougher media treatment of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and returning to an overriding complaint: “Every other presidential candidate has turned over tax returns.”

    Justice Ginsburg came under heavy criticism from a wide spectrum of commentators, since it is unusual for a Supreme Court Justice to express views on a political candidate and campaign. Even the Editorial Board of the NY Times agreed that Justice Ginsburg’s comments were inappropriate, Donald Trump Is Right About Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:

    Three times in the past week, Justice Ginsburg has publicly discussed her view of the presidential race, in the sharpest terms….

    In this election cycle in particular, the potential of a new president to affect the balance of the court has taken on great importance, with the vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia. As Justice Ginsburg pointed out, other justices are nearing an age when retirement would not be surprising. That makes it vital that the court remain outside the presidential process. And just imagine if this were 2000 and the resolution of the election depended on a Supreme Court decision.     “We’re not experiencing the best of times,” Ginsburg said Thursday on BBC’s “Newsnight,” though she did not comment directly about the president.

    In a case in which Trump’s campaign comments are front and center, how can Ginsburg hear a case in which she has complained publicly about Trump and Trump’s campaign?

    This is not a situation where a Justice merely is presumed to have political leanings (don’t they all?), or is affiliated with one political party more than another. Justice Ginsburg has publicly questioned Trump’s credibility, and that credibility is an issue in the case as it presents itself in the 4th Circuit decision from which review is sought.

    Justice Ginsburg cannot be removed from the case. The judicial code cited by the Washington Post editorial doesn’t apply to Supreme Court Justices. She would have to recuse herself voluntarily.

    I don’t expect Justice Ginsburg to recuse herself. But her *campaign* comments about Trump’s campaign look even worse in hindsight.

    On every Trump related case demands should be made for Ginsburg recusal.

    I have to disagree with your gut. The issue has been politicized and misused, but very basic science supports the issue as real. Very simply, as hydrocarbons are consumed, the CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) level of the atmosphere increases. There are histories on the increase. As the atmospheric composition changes, so do it’s average thermodynamic properties. That is basic science. The issue is one of the heat capacity. The same amount of heat added (mostly from the sun), will result in higher temperatures as the concentration of CO2 increases. Of course, as the atmosphere gets hotter, losses to space will increase so the heat balance and details of how much the atmosphere will increase gets complicated. Then, of course, there are other variations (volcanoes and the like) that obscure trends due to CO2 changes. It is a science problem and there are science solutions. The jerks in charge are not looking for them.

    As far as fracking is concerned, the danger is to our water aquifers. There is virtually no monitoring for contamination, thanks to the Bush and Obama destruction of the EPA as an organization that protects the environment (safe air and water). Big Business is doing what it wants to. They have no protections to establish baselines on contaminants and monitor aquifers for increases when there is fracking in the area. If they contaminate the drinking water it may be a long time before you know it and you will never prove it was them.

    And, yes, fracking can destabilize geology.

    We heard the various “clues”. A car/truck mowed down a bunch of people. People stabbed in the throat. What could the motive possibly be? Who would do this? The police must be stumped! Who can figure this out? Can anyone figure this out? It is an impenetrable mystery.

    A van plowed into pedestrians on London Bridge and two people were stabbed at a nearby cafe.

    A witness on the bridge told CNN the van mowed down pedestrians as it sped south across the bridge, leaving bodies lying in the roadway.

    Another witness, who was in the cafe, said a man with a “massive knife” entered the restaurant at Borough Market, just south of the bridge, and stabbed two people inside. The patrons sheltered in the basement and police then arrived at the scene, the witness said. The condition of the stabbed people was not known.

    The BBC reports more than one person died on London Bridge. Nick Brandon of British Transport Police told The Associated Press that they received reports of “multiple” casualties in an incident possibly involving a knife and a vehicle.

    A witness of the London Bridge incident said the attackers were yelling, “This is for Allah.”

    Police remain baffled.

    The ruling makes significant changes to the way things are going to be done at airports. No longer will you have to be inconveniently pulled out of line at random because we have to search the same number of regular people as we do Muslims. Agents at the airport will be able to profile how they see fit. Without the influx of refugees applying for asylum at the airport, since they simply won’t be coming here. the TSA can work on rooting out the people who want to do us harm who already live here.
