Fake Tears: GOP Establishment, Dems, Schumer, Against President Trump And The Fight For The West

Update: It’s over for Yates. President Trump has fired her snowflake ass. Snowflake Yates put her feelings above her duties. Because the Senate has failed to confirm Jeff Sessions as Attorney General, an Obama twerp, Sally Yates, has been Acting Attorney General. Late today Yates put her feelings on display and declared she would not defend, nor have the Department of Justice lawyers defend in court, President Trump’s executive order on immigration:

Yates does not claim that she cannot defend the executive order because it is unconstitutional or because the Justice Department would be unable to offer good-faith arguments in defense of its legality. To the contrary, Yates claims she is ordering the Justice Department not to defend the executive order because it is not “wise or just.” This is quite significant. I am not aware of any instance in which the Justice Department has refused to defend a presumptively lawful executive action on this basis.

It didn’t take long for President Trump to unleash the heat on the snowflake:

Statement on the Appointment of Dana Boente as Acting Attorney General

The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States. This order was approved as to form and legality by the Department of Justice Office of Legal Counsel.

Ms. Yates is an Obama Administration appointee who is weak on borders and very weak on illegal immigration.

It is time to get serious about protecting our country. Calling for tougher vetting for individuals travelling from seven dangerous places is not extreme. It is reasonable and necessary to protect our country.

Tonight, President Trump relieved Ms. Yates of her duties and subsequently named Dana Boente, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, to serve as Acting Attorney General until Senator Jeff Sessions is finally confirmed by the Senate, where he is being wrongly held up by Democrat senators for strictly political reasons.

“I am honored to serve President Trump in this role until Senator Sessions is confirmed. I will defend and enforce the laws of our country to ensure that our people and our nation are protected,” said Dana Boente, Acting Attorney General.

KABONG!!!!

Could President Trump have waited? No, as the New York Times noted of the snowflake, “She is the only one authorized to sign foreign surveillance warrants, an essential function at the department.” President Trump is on the job.

DRAIN THE SWAMP MR. PRESIDENT, DRAIN THE FREAKING SWAMP!!!

—————————————————————

Chuck Schumer never cried when terrorists killed Americans. Chuck Schumer did not cry when Kate Steinle was shot dead by an illegal immigrant. Chuck Schumer never cried when Christians in the Middle East are slaughtered by Muslims. But Chuck Schumer cried because President Trump enforced the law to protect Americans.

In August of 2015 we wrote that Donald J. Trump’s immigration policy was “Enforce the Law!”

Before you pass new laws you won’t enforce, enforce the law already on the books.

Marco Rubio and the political class wrote and tried to pass their “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Plan”. The Rubio political class “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Plan” was more millions of words added to the legislative and regulatory library, unread and entirely without meaning. All the millions of new words had no meaning because they would not have been enforced.

This past Sunday Donald Trump unveiled his Comprehensive Immigration Reform Plan. In three words, all of which have meaning, the plan would “enforce the law.”

There is no point in passing a new law if it will not be enforced. There is no point in having a law if it is not enforced. A law that is not enforced is not a law, it is not even a suggestion. A law that is not enforced is a bunch of words devoid of meaning. That is to say, Barack Obama is the embodiment of the concept – a collection of words without meaning other than self-absorption.

Nothing has changed since we wrote that analysis in 2015. Liddle Marco, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, the GOP establishment, the Obama Dimocrat Party, State Department flunkies, the Big Media Party, the Left, Soros, right wing Chamber of Commerce lick-boot “writers” and bloggers, West Coast socialists with big companies, all still fight now President Trump’s “Make America Safe Again” fearlessness.

Trump voters and supporters? The people who elected Donald J. Trump president, stand with President Trump:

The relaxed reaction among the kind of voters who drove Trump’s historic upset victory – working- and middle-class residents of Midwest and the South – provided a striking contrast to the uproar that has gripped major coastal cities, where thousands of protesters flocked to airports where immigrants had been detained.

In the St. Louis suburb of Manchester, Missouri, 72-year-old Jo Ann Tieken characterized the president as bringing reason into an overheated debate.

“Somebody has to stand up, be the grown up and see what we can do better to check on people coming in,” she said. “I’m all for everybody to stop and take a breath … Just give it a chance.”

A Rasmussen poll out early Monday confirms Americans want to Make America Safe Again and support President Trump:

Most voters approve of President Trump’s temporary halt to refugees and visitors from several Middle Eastern and African countries until the government can do a better job of keeping out individuals who are terrorist threats.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters favor a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists form coming here. Thirty-three percent (33%) are opposed, while 10% are undecided.

In short, nothing has changed from the election campaign Donald J. Trump won. President Trump fights to Make America Safe Again, while Trump opponents support an intifida against the West.

Was the immigration executive order botched? Should President Trump have given more notice before he implemented his Make America Safe Again executive order? President Trump declared he will not make the same mistakes boob Obama made of giving advance notice to America’s enemies:

President Trump will Make America Safe Again. Chuck Schumer and his intifada against America and the West are political opportunism. Chuck Schumer never wept, there were no tears, as Jews got killed by Muslims. Chuck Schumer never wept at the many countries Jews are banned from visiting. Chuck Schumer did not weep this past week about what happened in Muslim Germany:

German Muslim students protest Holocaust remembrance, attack Israel

The school director said that it was good there was student opposition to the memorial event because it “is the basis of discussion.”

Muslim students of Arab and Turkish origin protested participation in an International Holocaust Remembrance Day event in Germany, while their high school’s administration showed understanding for their criticism of Israel. [snip]

The Holocaust remembrance event was part of a global commemoration in which participants take selfie photographs along with a sign saying “I Remember“ or “We Remember.“ A blackboard at the school was defaced with the sentence: “F*** Israel, free Palestine.” The school was not able to identify the perpetrator. [snip]

Zuroff, who is Wiesenthal’s chief Nazi-hunter, added, “Given that Holocaust consciousness is a central idea of civic identity in the Federal Republic, it is doubly important for families that come from countries with deep antisemitic traditions and no knowledge of the Holocaust and the destruction of European Jewry.”

The Weiterbildungskolleg Emscher-Lippe school, where the protest unfolded, has 500 students, 40% of whom have a migrant background. [snip]

In January, a German court reaffirmed a legal decision from the city of Wuppertal stating the torching of a synagogue by three Muslims was not motivated by antisemitism. The court wrote the men only sought via the arson “to clearly draw attention to the blazing conflict between Israel and Palestinians” during Operation Protective Edge in 2014. The original synagogue in Wuppertal was burned by Germans in 1938.

No tears from Intifada Chuck Schumer who for political profit attacks President Trump. From Hillary Clinton, who was stabbed in the back by 2×4 Chuckie in 2008, there was more stupidity, more support for Israel haters.

Any doubts now about what Hillary would have done if she had won? No tears from Hillary Clinton or Chuck Schumer for the Jews blocked from 16 countries:

No one seems bothered with 16 Muslim countries where Israelis are banned

Sixteen countries forbid admission to Israeli passport holders:

  •  Algeria
  •  Bangladesh
  •  Brunei
  •  Iran
  •  Iraq (except Iraqi Kurdistan)
  •  Kuwait
  •  Lebanon (neighboring country; territory dispute – Shebaa farms)
  •  Libya
  •  Malaysia (Clearance permit needed from the Ministry of Home Affairs.)
  •  Oman
  •  Pakistan (Clearance permit needed from the Ministry of Internal Security.)
  •  Saudi Arabia
  •  Sudan
  •  Syria (neighboring country; territory dispute – Golan Heights)
  •  United Arab Emirates (accepted for transit only; not allowed for admission)
  •  Yemen

In addition, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen do not allow entry to people with evidence of travel to Israel, or whose passports have either a used or an unused Israeli visa. As a consequence, many countries will allow for a second passport to be issued to citizens wishing to circumvent this restriction.

A President Hillary Clinton would have bowed down to Islam, scarf on head.

Last week a real woman leader came to the United States to meet with President Trump. Theresa May dipped her tongue into Churchillian language:

Let’s stand together and halt eclipse of the West

Theresa May offered last night to help President Trump to prevent the West from being “eclipsed” by China as she urged him not to shirk his “obligation” to lead the world.

In a speech to a Republican congressional retreat in Philadelphia the prime minister matched parts of Mr Trump’s controversial foreign policy.

She criticised China’s increasingly “assertive” posture, promised to help to curb Iran’s “malign influence” in the Middle East and to do more to defend allies such as Israel in “tough neighbourhoods” while admitting that it was time to engage Russia in the search for peace in Syria.

Women, Gays, Jews, are most threatened by Islam and Muslim terrorists. But no tears from Hillary Clinton or Chuck Schumer for the victims of Islam and terror.

President Trump fights for the values of the West. Before he saves the West, President Trump must first Make America Safe Again. That is what President Trump is busy doing. Chuck Schumer, Hillary Clinton, and the establishments of the GOP and the Obama Dimocrats do not want to Make America Great Again. President Trump and the American people will defeat them all.

  1. https://pjmedia.com/spengler/2017/01/28/president-trumps-immigration-ban-is-magnificently-right/

President Trump’s Immigration Ban is Magnificently Right

President Trump kicked over a hornet’s nest by imposing a 90-day ban on immigration from selected Muslim countries in keeping with his campaign pledges. Andrew McCarthy, the federal prosecutor who convicted the blind sheikh and his accomplices of the first World Trade Center bombing, explains why the ban is legal–despite a federal judge’s restraining order against implementation of the order. [snip]

The liberals claim that the immigration halt will convince Muslims that the U.S. administration isn’t fighting ISIS and other terrorists, but Muslims as a religious group. Some conservatives, e.g. Walter Russell Mead, call it “callous.” The latter characterization is misleading. It is callous towards individual Muslims but merciful to American citizens, who have the right to go about their business without fear of mass terrorist attacks. In Europe, the elites accept a certain level of terrorism as the cost of doing business, and the people grudgingly accept it. Americans don’t see why they should sacrifice their safety or sense of security to accommodate the hurt feelings of other people. Prof. Mead compares this to America’s refusal to accept Jewish immigrants during the Holocaust. I respect Mead, but I find the comparison offensive: How many Jewish refugees from Hitler murdered civilians at random (the answer is, not one)?

As for the argument that the measure will alienate Muslims, precisely the opposite is true. Many Muslim governments, institutions, and individuals do not actively support terrorism, but tolerate it. Active terrorists are a small minority, but they swim in a sea of broader Muslim opinion that sympathizes with terrorists like Hamas in Gaza or Hezbollah in Lebanon.

    hamas

The last time the Pew Institute surveyed Muslim opinion about Hezbollah and Hamas (in 2010), it found majorities or very large minorities in support of these terrorists in most of the largest Muslim countries. In the United States, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)–founded by the pro-Hamas Islamic Association for Palestine–routinely denounces acts of terror on American soil, but has never once criticized Hamas terrorism in the Middle East.

The Obama administration and the Bush administration hoped to persuade Islamist extremists like the Muslim Brotherhood (of which Hamas is the Palestinian branch) to change their spots and turn peaceful. That didn’t work.

The alternative is to serve notice on Muslim governments: If they don’t crack down on terrorists and their supporters, we won’t let their citizens into the United States until we find ways to vet entrants ourselves.

The terrorists have been winning the intelligence war because a very large number of Muslims fear the terrorists more than they do the counterterrorism efforts of the United States and other Western governments. The terrorists infest Muslim communities and operate like a gangland protection racket. It is dangerous to stand up to them. This will change when Muslims fear the U.S. government more than they fear the terrorists.

Is that cruel? Of course. The world is cruel, but its cruelty is not of our making. The first duty of the U.S. government is to show kindness to prospective American victims of terrorism. And it’s great to have a president with the guts to do something about it.

  2. But there is no voter fraud we are told:

    http://www.nhregister.com/government-and-politics/20140926/bridgeport-state-rep-christina-ayala-arrested-on-19-voting-fraud-charges

Bridgeport State Rep. Christina Ayala arrested on 19 voting fraud charges

HARTFORD >> State Rep. Christina “Tita” Ayala, D-Bridgeport, was arrested Friday on 19 voting fraud charges.

Ayala, 31, is accused of voting in local and state elections in districts she did not live, the Chief State’s Attorney’s Office said in a press release.

The arrest warrant affidavit also alleges Ayala provided fabricated evidence to state Election Enforcement Commission investigators that showed she lived at an address in a district where she voted while actually living outside the district, according to the release.

Ayala, who represents the 128th District, was elected in 2012, replacing her cousin, Andres Ayala, who was elected to the state Senate. She chose to run for reelection earlier this year, despite the voting fraud investigation, but lost a four-way primary in August.

The Elections Enforcement Commission referred the case to the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney in October 2013, recommending criminal charges.

Ayala allegedly voted in various Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee elections, a municipal primary election and a state primary election between 2009 and 2012 in districts inconsistent with the location of her residence, according to the release. She is also accused of voting in the Bridgeport state general election in 2012 in a district where she didn’t live.

According to the Connecticut Post, Ayala’s mother, Santa, was also investigated by the Elections Enforcement Commission. The commission also recommended criminal charges be filed against Santa Ayala, the Democratic registrar of voters in Bridgeport, but none have been filed as of Friday.

Christina Ayala was charged with eight counts of fraudulent voting, 10 counts of primary or enrollment violations and one count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

A crooked registrar of voting too – her mother.

  3. This will really help Obama Dimocrats:

DeBlasio to CNN: It’s OK to shield undocumented drunk drivers

New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio told CNN’s Jake Tapper that it is OK to shield undocumented immigrants who drive drunk from federal authorities if it does not “lead to any other negative outcome.”

Tapper asked the Democratic mayor on Sunday’s “State of the Union” if he would comply with federal authorities following President Trump’s executive order to halt funding to cities that do not cooperate with immigration officials by presenting a specific scenario.

If you’re a drunk driver and you’re an undocumented immigrant, why should there be a place for you in this country?” Tapper asked.

“Jake, there are 170 offenses in that law that are listed as serious and violent crimes that lead to automatic cooperation between the city of New York and our federal partners,” DeBlasio replied. “So any serious and violent crime, we’re going to work with them.”

Is grand larceny or drunk driving a very minor offense?” Tapper followed.

“Drunk driving that does not lead to any other negative outcome, I could define as that,” DeBlasio said. [snip]

According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving, nearly 10,000 Americans are killed each year as a result of drunk driving, or 27 people per day.

President Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday stating the government will “strip federal grant money from the sanctuary states and cities that harbor illegal immigrants,” according to press secretary Sean Spicer.

  5. I don’t know how Chuckie can respond to the “fake” tears comment. As always, POTUS Trump calls it like we all see it. Somehow, I suspect that these career politicians are going to be making lots and lots of appointments with therapists in DC. Too bad they aren’t on ogarbagecare, they wouldn’t be covered.

  8. I someone posted this one I swear to you I did not see it, but even if they did it is worth watching again. Trump’s campaign advisor, a photogenic black woman who worked for Clinton in the past, and has a compelling life story of her own to tell, ventures into that snakepit , that steaming cauldron of hate even without Whoppie in attendance, otherwise known as The View and she does a job of swashbuckling that would make Eroll Flynn envious. She tells them the campaign is over, we have got to move on, there are real problems which this president will solve instead of gumming them to death, his style is changing and just look at how he is dealing with them in is first week. Naturally this witches coven which included Ailes accuser Gretchen Carlson, did their best to pin her down without success, and pretty much got their asses handed to them. Joy with her irritating way kept butting in, and the Trump spokesman acknowledge how difficult it must be for the joyless Joy to have said all the terrible things she said about Trump during the campaign only to see him sitting now in the Oval office. However, the high point–or denouement if you prefe came, as it always should from a Broadway perspective at the tail end, when Monster Joy was behaving like a Thompson machine gun firing off a barrage of idiotic questions, and the Trump spokesman interrupts her, says we have less than a minute left and I want to acknowledge my fiancee who is in the audience, and Joy, by the way, I hope you find true love yourself some day. On that high note it ended, and Joy looked like she had just swallowed a bottle of cod liver oil.

Suffice it to say it is worth watching. If you are at all interested, then by all means, see for yourself.

“Italian politician Mogherini played a key role in negotiating the Iran Deal or the “worst deal ever negotiated” as President Trump pointed out. Starbucks to Hire 10,000 Refugees Over Next 5 Years

Starbucks says it will hire 10,000 refugees over the next five years, a response to President Donald Trump’s indefinite suspension of Syrian refugees and temporary travel bans that apply to six other Muslim-majority nations.

Howard Schultz, the coffee retailer’s chairman and CEO, said in a letter to employees Sunday that the hiring would apply to stores worldwide and the effort would start in the United States where the focus would be on hiring immigrants “who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel.”

Schultz, a supporter of Hillary Clinton during the presidential run, took aim at other parts of a Trump agenda focused on immigration, repealing former President Barack Obama’s health care law and restructuring trade with Mexico

    Boycott Starbucks!

  12. http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/are-we-going-to-freak-out-every-time-trump-does-what-he-promised/

Are We Going To Freak Out Every Time Trump Does What He Promised?

Politics: Three months ago, Candidate Trump promised that on Day One of his presidency he would, if elected, “suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur.” President Trump didn’t get around to that until Day Seven, which means he was a week late. Yet everyone is acting as if this all came out of the blue. [snip]

Trump’s actions should not have come as a surprise to anyone who was paying even the slightest attention to the presidential campaign.

Before issuing his Contract With The American Voter in October — in which he listed in detail his plans for his first days in office — Trump regularly promised on the campaign trail to suspend immigration from terror-prone countries, as he did in June when he said he would suspend immigration from countries “where there is a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies until we fully understand how to end these threats.” Trump has promised, too, to halt Syrian refugees, given that ISIS had specifically targeted refugee populations as ways to infiltrate the West.

Obama once even mocked Trump for this, saying last spring that Trump’s travel suspension “doesn’t reflect our democratic ideals.”

Nor is what Trump has done particularly unusual, let alone extreme.

The countries involved in the 90-day suspension — Iran, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen — weren’t named in Trump’s executive order. They were listed by the Obama administration as countries of special concern under a 2015 law that requires anyone who even visited one of these terror-prone countries to undergo special scrutiny before coming to the U.S. — even if they hail from a country that otherwise doesn’t require a visa to visit the U.S.

President Obama himself barred large groups of immigrants from entering the U.S. at least six times out of national security concerns, according to a review last June by the Washington Examiner. In 2011, the administration suspended refugee processing from Iraq for six months to make sure terrorists weren’t exploiting the program.

The Examiner also found that “President Bill Clinton issued six immigrant bans; George W. Bush six immigrant bans; and former President Ronald Reagan four. And in 1980, former President Jimmy Carter banned Iranians after Tehran seized the U.S. embassy.”

Nor is Trump’s refugee cap in any way draconian. Data from the Migration Policy Institute shows that, while the cap was higher under the previous two presidents, the actual number of refugees admitted over the past 15 years has been at or below 50,000 most of the time. In fact, the average number of refugees admitted under Bush was 48,000 a year. [snip]

What’s extreme isn’t what Trump did, it’s the entirely out-of-proportion reaction from his political opponents, the press, and many weak-kneed Republicans.

Indeed, much of the “chaos and confusion” that Schumer complained about was the result not of Trump’s order, but the false, misleading and inflammatory claims spread by Democrats, protesters who instantly swarmed into various airports, and the mainstream press that vigorously fanned the flames.

This has, unfortunately, been the pattern since Trump took the oath of office. All the actions Trump has taken so far are ones he promised months ago to tackle immediately, yet they are all treated as shocking developments.

It is hard to see how Trumps’ critics are helping their cause when they react to everything Trump does as if it were a world-ending catastrophe.

Women were banned from entering a Starbucks in Saudi Arabia after a ‘gender barrier’ wall collapsed, it has been claimed.

A sign posted on the window of a Riyadh store of the coffee chain, in Arabic and English, reportedly read: “Please no entry for ladies only. Send your driver to order. Thank you.”

One woman who said she was refused service at the café wrote on Twitter: “Starbucks store in Riyadh refused to serve me just because I’m a woman and asked me to send a man instead.”

Starbucks denied that the store had a ban on women.

According to the Arabic language daily newspaper Al Weaam, the country’s religious police – the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice – ordered the coffee shop’s management to ban women from the establishment after it found that a ‘segregation wall’ inside the store had given way during a routine inspection around a market in the capital city.

According to Al Weaam, the store’s management told the police that the wall had regularly collapsed because of customer stampedes.

  16. I’ll use them later if things change, can’t go there right now and will never buy another gift card for anyone, as I have, in the future.
Heck, I usually buy 10 to 15 gift cards at Christmas… never again

  18. I hope Acting AG Sally Yates’ brazen act of defiance and refusal to follow the chain of command is not part of some coup attempt to reinstall Obama, who has come out of his rock.

  19. We all seem to want to forget that Trump, as POTUS, has the authority to do this, just like his predecessors.

“President Obama himself barred large groups of immigrants from entering the U.S. at least six times out of national security concerns, according to a review last June by the Washington Examiner. As shown in the article posted above by Admin. They need to get over it.

  20. Sessions confirmation vote is tomorrow and they have been trying to postpone it again. I suspect the issuance of the travel ban, with the expected response from the Bobot AG is Trump theater.

Any more trouble and Trump just needs to list who is entering the country, who should not and would not be under the travel ban.

  21. Leave it to Hillary, O, DeBlasio, Schumer, McCain, Graham…and the Dimocratic Party…and

What is wrong with these people…they would rather gamble with our lives & our families. ..to let people in that we have no idea who they are…most of them young hormonal men…and then force us to house, feed & employ them

…and then you have people running for the DNC who say that I their job is to tell “white people to shut up”

Imo…McConnell should go nuclear for the Supreme Court pick…and the GOP should do whatever they need to do to push thru all Donald’s cabinet picks

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The Democratic National Committee quickly responded.

“Donald Trump can try to silence heroic patriots like Sally Yates who dare to speak truth to power about his illegal anti-Muslim ban that emboldens terrorists around the globe. But he cannot silence the growing voices of an American people now wide awake to his tyrannical presidency,” DNC Senior Adviser Zac Petkanas said in a statement.

Alan Dershowitz: “Sally Yates is a terrific public servant, but I think she’s made a serious mistake here. This is holdover heroism. It’s so easy to be a heroine when you’re not appointed by this president, when you’re on the other side. She made a serious mistake. I think what she should have done is do a nuanced analysis of what parts of the order are Constitutional, what parts are in violation of the statute, what parts are perfectly lawful. There’s an enormous distinction between green card holders on the one hand, people who are in the country and need to be thrown out on the second hand, and people who are simply applying to get visas. There’s also a distinction between what’s Constitutional, what’s statutorially prohibited . . . by lumping them all together, she has made a political decision rather than a legal one.“

The holdover heroes don’t realize all they’re doing is helping Trump to #DrainTheSwamp by outing themselves. Tomorrow Jeff Sessions nomination gets out of committee. McConnell should put Sessions up immediately for a full senate vote on confirmation.

Austria plans to ban the Muslim face veil in government bid to counter far-right opposition

Austria is planning to ban the Muslim face veil in public places, the centrist coalition government said today as it announced a package of policies aimed at countering the growing appeal of the far-right opposition Freedom Party (FPO).

The FPO has topped opinion polls for months, boosted by Europe’s migrant crisis and the influx of large numbers of often Muslim asylum seekers, and last month its candidate came close to winning Austria’s presidential election.

With a parliamentary election due next year, Chancellor Christian Kern of the centre-left Social Democratic Party (SPO) is trying to regain the political initiative by forging a swift agreement with his conservative coalition partner on a package of measures ranging from immigration to education.

“We believe in an open society that is also based on open communication. Full-body veils in public spaces stand against that and will therefore be prohibited,” said the text of the coalition agreement published today.

  28. Remember, THIS IS STILL ONLY THE BEGINNING OF WEEK 2. Tomorrow Supreme Court nominee announced. What will week 3 be like? Amazing.

  34. Is there another to be fired?

Homan’s job at ERO seems to explain why President Trump appointed him to run all of ICE:

STATEMENT FROM SECRETARY KELLY ON THE PRESIDENT’S APPOINTMENT OF THOMAS D. HOMAN AS ACTING ICE DIRECTOR

WASHINGTON — Today, the president appointed Thomas D. Homan acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Since 2013 Homan has served as the executive associate director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). In this capacity, he led ICE’s efforts to identify, arrest, detain, and remove illegal aliens, including those who present a danger to national security or are a risk to public safety, as well as those who enter the United States illegally or otherwise undermine the integrity of our immigration laws and our border control efforts.

Homan is a 33-year veteran of law enforcement and has nearly 30 years of immigration enforcement experience. He has served as a police officer in New York; a U.S. Border Patrol agent: a special agent with the former U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service; as well as supervisory special agent and deputy assistant director for investigations at ICE. In 1999, Mr. Homan became the assistant district director for investigations (ADDI) in San Antonio, Texas, and three years later transferred to the ADDI position in Dallas, Texas.

Upon the creation of ICE Homan was named as the assistant agent in charge in Dallas. In March 2009, Homan accepted the position of assistant director for enforcement within ERO at ICE headquarters and was subsequently promoted to deputy executive associate director of ERO.

Mr. Homan holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and received the Presidential Rank Award in 2015 for his exemplary leadership and extensive accomplishments in the area of immigration enforcement.

I am confident that he will continue to serve as a strong, effective leader for the men and women of ICE. I look forward to working alongside him to ensure that we enforce our immigration laws in the interior of the United States consistent with the national interest.

  35. JtJames, don’t reach for the Pepto. Instead read this from Mike Allen, formerly of Politico, who is no fan of President Trump if you want to understand what Trump is up to, sorta (we don’t agree with all of it but at least Allen sees that Trump is getting a lot done in between the caterwauling of the left):

    https://www.axios.com/the-trump-bulldozer-2222444529.html

    The Trump bulldozer

We can’t stress this enough: Watch closely the specific, substantive moves of the Trump White House. Try to block out the white noise of outlandish statements and unforced errors, and the hyperventilating they provoke.

Otherwise, you miss the big — and in some cases, radical — changes coming our way. In fact, White House officials tell us they welcome what seem like needless distractions, because it allows them to jam through transformative, disruptive ideas and orders without focused public scrutiny of any particular item. (Remember the justified conflict-of-interest hysteria?)

Read the weekend papers, and flick through cable, and the unambiguous conclusion is that Trump’s debut was pretty much a debacle. But was it?

If you examine what he did based on what he wants to do and ignore much of what he says for show, this was actually a remarkably productive start. By the White House’s count, 13 presidential actions in first week tied to specific campaign promises.

No doubt, the fears of his critics are real and could easily be realized. We could see a trade war with Mexico, or retaliation for his ban on people coming from seven Muslim nations, or other leaders exploiting Trump’s inward focus and impulses.

But from the point of view of the president’s brain trust, he’s getting his way, and, with each passing day, more Republicans and outside leaders seem to be falling in line, even as critics rage. This is more a bulldozer than a runaway train.

    Lots more at the link.

Trump is a builder. He knows how to bulldoze.

  36. I am more concerned with Trump getting his supreme court choice on the bench which is much more significant than the BS that the MSM is perpetuating regarding this temporary ban which is quite reasonable. The republicans will have to use house rules to break the a filibuster and get the nominee on with 51 votes…

  37. The WA state AG, Bob Fergueson, is a full blown Lefty. He sends me emails on how he attacks landlords, property owners and small business owners. I despise him.

  38. I think it is great what Trump is doing.

He is drawing the cockroaches of the left out of their dark nests for the world to see.

An gas bag who is visible and making a complete ass of himself, poses little or no threat.

Rum ridden debutramps nearly come through, etc.

Its the ones who hide in the shadows and plot quietly that need to be watched like a hawk.

  39. The anti Trump leftists from the former AG to the black lives matter brigade is they suffer from a condition known as the Dunning- Kreuger bias.

    What is that, you aske.

The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which low-ability individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability as much higher than it really is.

Dunning and Kruger attributed this bias to a metacognitive incapacity, on the part of those with low ability, to recognize their ineptitude and evaluate their competence accurately.

This is what too much virtue signalling can do.

  40. President Trump 👍 plays the dumb ass Democrats like a pro. He may be known for being a successful businessman, yet his skills as a politician are noteworthy. Stay the course, President Trump. You will #MAGA!

  41. Acting Atty Gen Yates did Trump a favor. By her statement of “feelings” over duty, she set the example of what will happen to public “servants”. Pronto. She also shook the Sessions appointment out of the nest of spiders called the Senate Judiciary Committee. Well done Yates. No one is irreplaceable and for every nitwit willing to sacrifice their position for vague, virtue signalling, new world order principle, there are fifty behind you willing to take the job. She really needs some major bar complaints filed so any future employers can look forward to paying legal bills she racks up fighting a disbarment. Her rebellion lasted all of 30 minutes.

Bulldozing, yes. But also totally Machiavellian. I see how the deck is stacked and I get to worrying, how many fights can Trump fight at once? But I do believe he is prepared for them. It was Machiavelli who laid out many of these principals, including the implementation of controversial/unpopular policies, that should be done all at once, with the benevolent stuff being implemented over time. He is playing these fools like a fiddle.

The slow start to catch on. Sort of. As usual the media thinks it is about THEM. Only on the periphery. Trump shuts down open borders to seven countries who have civil war, no verification process, or are ISIS involved. What happens? Saudi Arabia suddenly decides to finance the care and feeding of “migrants”! AND the visit of Jordan’s King Abdullah just happens to coincide with this marvelous comcomitance of events! King Abdullah (ISIS hater) has been housing and feeding a zillion refugee migrants from Syria for a couple of years and no one will give him enough money. It is a huge burden on a dinky country like that. Now he gets money. And he can screen out ISIS and kill them. And Soros is not welcome to set up NGO’s to human traffcking bucks off said migrant refugees who will get a tent and three squares in Jordan before they walk or are bused home when Putin ends the Syrian war. So Friday: “migrant refugee” scam suspended by EO, Sunday: Saudi King will pay, Monday: Abdullah shows up in DC saying where’s the check and how many and thanks several hundred millions, literally. And the refugee migrants have somewhere to go safe besides the US and Europe. What an amazing coinky dink. Now about that chaos theory and President Trump.

  44. The EO issued Friday is supposedly to suspend visas so that State, FBI, INS can study “problems” with vetting and issuing visas and letting everyone and their jihadi dog into the country. They already know what the problems are. It is Salifism that comes out of Saudi Arabia and is financed by the Sauds. But this is a warning as it only started with seven countries conveniently on a list made up by the Obama administration. Others will be added. Like the Saud’s client state Pakistan.

With Saudi fingerprints all over terrorism (and Iran who has a different version of it and wants to overthrow the House of Saud) the Saudi king was presented with a bill and the knowledge that US oil and gas (and Russia lurking and grinning in the background) is about to take off and Tillerson who knows where the Saudi’s hurt. Start cleaning up your mess or else was the undertone. Start by paying Jordan. NOW. Abdullah shows up less than 24 hours later.

This is all like a complicated real estate deal that runs like falling dominoes. At any step it could go sideways. But it didn’t. High risk and quite daring and they didn’t see this particular deal coming. The screaming by the progressives and CAIR seemingly missed the point, didn’t see the end game, and eventually will look stupid to the public, in both the US and Europe, who wanted the migrant mobs to stop. The refugee “cause” of flow from Syria to Europe and the US is no longer an issue except to globalists and Soros. And the Syrian foreign minster told Syrian refugees and migrants it is time to come home. Assad gets it because Putin told him.

Silicon valley and tech are screaming because they know the H1B1 scam is next up to be busted. All of the companies virtue signalling their heads off do too. They called back their workers from vacations because they don’t know when Trump is going to spring it. H1B visas have absolutely nothing to do with refugees or migrants and conflating the two issues is dishonest and desperate.

  45. California is unhappy with Trump. Other states are ecstatic.

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-trump-happy-phoenix-20170130-story.html

Trump’s first week: For many in Arizona, it doesn’t get any better than this

Here, more than 120 miles from the border, Arizona voters outraged with President Obama’s executive orders that welcomed the foreign-born to America are delighted with Trump’s first week in office, when his actions seemed to have done the opposite.

Trump has ordered federal funding withheld from cities that provide sanctuary to immigrants in the country illegally, demanded Congress pay for the immediate construction of a 1,900-mile border wall and banned travel to the U.S. by citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, as a way, he says, to keep terrorists at bay.

“The wall is just the start of it,” MacCree said. He’s looking ahead to the potential for violence on the border over the question of who gets in and who doesn’t.

Perhaps Trump hasn’t yet gone far enough, voters here say, but give it time. He has uncomplicated solutions to what they see as uncomplicated problems. [snip]

“I was, frankly, worried about what Trump would do,” said Jenkins, 36, of Buckeye, a conservative suburb neighboring Goodyear.

She didn’t know whether he would act on his campaign promises or simply change his mind after his inauguration. She has been happy with Trump’s directives.

It’s everything he said he wanted to do, and that’s something we needed,” Jenkins said.

She’s not sure yet whether Trump’s executive orders will immediately secure the border, she said, and she doesn’t want to see refugees in genuine need turned away from the U.S., but she wonders how it’s possible to tell which refugees are truly seeking asylum and which ones intend to do the nation harm.

I love America, OK?” Jenkins said. “And this gives me hope. It’s the right direction.”

After eight years of a Democratic president, Trump is doing everything MacCree hoped a president would to obliterate Obama’s legacy, he said.

If there are too many people crossing into the U.S., build a barrier to stop them, MacCree said. If there are potential terrorists claiming refugee status, don’t let them in. If Obamacare threatens small businesses, shut it down any way you can.

This country’s inner cities require “cleaning out,” MacCree said, to free them from the grip of gangs. The border needs more men and more guns. People fleeing Arabic-speaking countries shouldn’t run, but should stay where they are and fight Islamic extremism — unless they’re the extremists themselves. Either way, they should not be afforded entry to the U.S.

As Trump takes step after step to fix what MacCree sees as America’s ills, MacCree can only shake his head at the alternative. After all, it was only three short months ago that Hillary Clinton was seen as a sure bet for the presidency.

With Trump’s victory, the whole country won, MacCree said. “The people spoke out and said enough was enough.

Silicon Valley and California are about to discover there is an America that appreciates and even loves what President Trump is doing.

The Democrats are “not who we are”. I’m so tired of their use of that phrase.

And that’s why they lost. Because it IS who more than half the country are. They cannot accept that Trump won because he represents what millions in the US (and around the world) want. We are tired of globalist bullshit and want our country back.

    It’s not rocket science.

  47. California is doing everything possible to help President Trump become ever more popular.

    http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2017/01/30/calif-to-consider-enacting-statewide-sanctuary/

Calif. To Consider Enacting Statewide Sanctuary

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California may prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities, creating a border-to-border sanctuary in the nation’s largest state as legislative Democrats ramp up their efforts to battle President Donald Trump’s migration policies.

The legislation is scheduled for its first public hearing Tuesday as the Senate rushes to enact measures that Democratic lawmakers say would protect immigrants from the crackdown that the Republican president has promised.

While many of California’s largest cities — including Los Angeles, San Francisco and Sacramento — have so-called sanctuary policies that prohibit police from cooperating with immigration authorities, much of the state does not.

The Democratic legislation, written by Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon of Los Angeles, comes up for debate less than a week after Trump signed an order threatening to withdraw some federal grants from jurisdictions that bar officials from communicating with federal authorities about someone’s immigration status.

The Senate Public Safety Committee considers SB54 Tuesday morning. The Judiciary Committee will also consider fast-tracked legislation that would spend state money, in an amount that has not been disclosed, to provide lawyers for people facing deportation.

California is doing everything possible to help President Trump become ever more popular.
    ——-
Good. Without California, the Democrats may never elect another POTUS.

  50. Alcina, right now President Trump is mostly fighting on his own. That was the Obama Dimocrat strategy: delay the cabinet confirmations and force President Trump to delay his actions until his entire team was in place. It was the smart Dimocrat strategy if they were dealing with anyone but Trump.

If the Obama Dimocrat strategy to delay and attack was used against a Jeb Bush or a McCain or a Romney it would have been smart because it would have worked. But the Obama Dimocrats/Big Media still don’t understand that it’s a different game entirely because Trump is not a typical GOP stumblebum. Trump fights.

Thus far President Trump has been fighting all alone. Other than a few of the less important cabinet appointments have been confirmed, not much of what President Trump has done implicates those already in the cabinet. But soon President Trump won’t be fighting alone.

As you point out President Trump is about to take action on the Paris accords. This will be big and as you say Hollywood will soil its collective diapers when President Trump tackles their favorite pet cause. But as was described on election night here at Big Pink, the immense vastness of the Trump victory is yet to be fully understood by the left or the right or the center.

Imagine once President Trump signs more of his executive orders to go along with his already signed executive orders – and then the vastness opens up. By that we mean President Trump’s entire cabinet is in place.

Up to now President Trump has been alone (other than the American people beside him). But soon President Trump will have Jeff Sessions and Scott Pruitt, and the entire cabinet fighting alongside him. Picture what happens then. It will be like a dozen President Trumps.

Picture President Trump withdrawing from the Paris pact and then his actions are followed up by a series of actions by EPA chief Pruitt! Hollywood will drown in their own diaper stink and contents. Picture President Trump orders on immigration and the Wall and other issues that implicate the Justice Department. Then AG Jeff Sessions picks up the baton from President Trump and leads from his powerful position.

President Trump won’t be fighting alone in DC soon.

She sucked as a candidate and ran the worst campaign in history. The only way she could blame Obama is because she ran on Obama’s policies. Winners aren’t losers Hillary.

  61. Admin: Steve Bannon has suggested that big media is the opposition party. As previously noted, the term opposition party implies that they are loyal to the nation, but simply dissent from the policies of the administration. In point of fact, big media is orders of magnitude worse. Simply put, they are sociopaths screaming fire in a crowded theater every chance they get, hoping to preserve their privileged place in the sun. Going blatto over the very things they gave Obama a pass on. And exploiting the young, ignorant, and impressionable people in our society. Like Sally Yates, who is old enough to know better.
    ———–
Roger Simon puts and even finer point on it, in the article below:

“In its righteous indignation bordering on religious fervor, most of the media pretended that this executive order was some startling, rash new action, not the eighteen-month old platform proposal everyone knew it was. How dishonest is that. When Steve Bannon calls the media the “opposition party,” he may be understating things. How Obama will take on Trump

The former president is keeping tabs on his successor in the White House and selectively weighing in.

Barack Obama and his aides expected to take on President Donald Trump at some point, but they didn’t think it would happen this quickly.

Now they’re trying to find the right balance on issues that demand a response, and how to use Obama to deliver the selective pushback. Obama and his team are monitoring what’s happening at the White House, and not ruling out the possibility that Obama will challenge Trump more forcefully in the coming months, according to people who’ve been in contact with the former president.

It depends on Trump. It also depends, the people close to the former president said Monday, on whether speaking out would just set him up to have no effect and be dismissed, and result in empowering Trump more, which is a very real worry for them. [snip]

He decided he finally had to say something about the immigration executive order that’s sparked outrage across the country. But he decided he couldn’t say it himself—not yet, at least.

The result was an extraordinary statement Monday from an Obama spokesperson that “President Obama is heartened by the level of engagement taking place in communities around the country.” [snip]

Democrats are desperate for leadership, but some fear the battle could become all about him. There are frustrations over Obama’s handling of the party, and how he insisted on a low-drama transfer of power. [snip]

What they don’t want, though, is for Obama to become the face of the anti-Trump movement.

“The only way that our values get reinstated is if people take this responsibility on themselves,” said Eric Schultz, a former White House aide who’s serving as a senior adviser to the former president’s office.

Obama knows there are many much more drastic measures that he might want to speak out on, and he’s saving more direct intervention for maximum impact, people familiar with his thinking say. He knows he only gets one chance at it being the first time that he takes on Trump himself.

“He’ll know the right time,” said one person involved. “He will have the best sense of when he needs to do it directly.”

    Still “leading from behind”.

  63. In a little over an hour President Trump announces his Supreme Court nominee. Three candidates are presumed to be in the running, Pryor, Gorsuch, Handiman.

Um, shouldn’t we sort of wait until kids have undergone actual puberty, and the surge of sex-differentiating hormones that attends it, before letting them tell us that they’re really girls or really boys?

By the way, the little girl in this case was… eight years old.

And “transgender,” despite the fact that she hasn’t actually gone through the hormonal process that defines gender.

A New Jersey woman whose son was asked to leave his Boy Scouts troop after leaders found out he is transgender said she has mixed emotions about the organization’s decision to allow transgender children who identify as boys to enroll in its boys-only programs.
The Boy Scouts of America announced Monday that enrollment in its boys-only programs will now be based on the gender a child or parent lists on his application to become a scout, rather than the gender listed on the child’s birth certificate.

Obama: And Natasha! You’re trying to kill Moose and Squirrel!
