Farage Barrage: @RealDonaldTrump Immigration Policy

Donald J. Trump has gone full on Big Pink. As on many issues, Donald J. Trump adapts our language over and over. The latest example? Immigration.

Big Media (another phrase Trump has borrowed from us) is all out in attempts to paint Donald J. Trump “yellow” on immigration. The Big Media narrative is that Trump is betraying his supporters and gone coward yellow on his immigration policy. This Big Media assault on Trump even makes strong Trump supporters wobbly.

So what is Donald J. Trump’s immigration policy? What does Donald J. Trump intend to do about illegal immigration? We’re sitting at the head of the class, waving our raise hands frantically to catch teacher’s attention, saying “ooh, ooh, we know, we know.”

Big Pink readers know the answer too. We wrote IN THREE WORDS the Donald J. Trump immigration policy on August 17, 2015 – a little over a year ago. Our article that august August was @RealDonaldTrump Winning Immigration Plan In 3 Words: Enforce The Law! Yeah, ENFORCE THE LAW:

Before you pass new laws you won’t enforce, enforce the law already on the books. [SNIP]

This past Sunday Donald Trump unveiled his Comprehensive Immigration Reform Plan. In three words, all of which have meaning, the plan would “enforce the law.”

There is no point in passing a new law if it will not be enforced. There is no point in having a law if it is not enforced. A law that is not enforced is not a law, it is not even a suggestion. A law that is not enforced is a bunch of words devoid of meaning. That is to say, Barack Obama is the embodiment of the concept – a collection of words without meaning other than self-absorption.

Donald Trump’s detailed Comprehensive Immigration Reform Plan is mostly about illegal immigration. For a candidate that has been mocked as personality “without policy details” the release of the Trump plan has rocked the political class.

Yeah, enforce the law. It’s that simple.

For some, it is not that simple. They are suspicious. We can’t blame the suspicious. After almost eight horrible Obama lying years, we should all be suspicious. But a lot of the suspicions about Trump are rather silly when it comes to illegal immigration and immigration overall.

The concept of “enforce the law” is very simple. To fully appreciate Donald J. Trump and his illegal immigration/immigration policy the fundamental need is the intent. To “enforce the law” it is necessary to respect the law, and want the spirit as well as the letter of the law to be enforced.

Barack Obama does not respect the law. Barack Obama does not like certain laws. Laws that Barack Obama does not like Barack Obama does not respect nor enforce. Barack Obama’s intent is to defy the law. It is gangster government. Obama’s disrespect and violation of law is why the supine courts have repeatedly issued orders to block Barack Obama and his law breaking.

Donald J. Trump by contrast respects immigration laws and wants to enforce the law. That is very simple.

Where it is not so simple is the “how“. How do you enforce the law after years of the chief law enforcer doing everything he could do, from the occupied White House, to violate the spirit and the letter of the law? Barack Obama is a massive injury to the American system of laws. If Donald J. Trump is elected he will have to repair the traumatic injury to the American system of laws.

To repair the American system of laws, in particular, immigration law, Donald J. Trump will have to perform as medical practitioner. That means, stop the bleeding, suture the wound, then proceed to repair the injury to the entire body. This simple series of steps has some in an uproar.

The uproar on Donald J. Trump’s illegal immigration/immigration policy is supposedly due to a Trump appearance on the Sean Hannity show. Ann Coulter among others is upset with Trump about perceived Trump apostasy. We find that perplexing.

The accusation that Trump has now shifted his illegal immigration/immigration policy is buttered with outrage that Trump is now mouthing the same policy as his defeated primary opponents. Of course those opponents were either for illegal immigration amnesty and supported “comprehensive” legislation to implement their pro amnesty desires, or they were long time advocates of Chamber of Commerce style illegal immigration amnesty to lower wages.

We watched the Sean Hannity interview and failed to see the stab in the back policy change Big Media employs as the latest Trump supporter demoralization strategy. Here’s the Hannity interview:

Did you notice that long introduction of Trump and the opening remarks by Trump? All we heard was Trump reiterating his long held determination “we have to stop it” against illegal immigration. Did you notice the poignant/heartbreaking testimonies of the mothers of children killed by illegal immigrants as Trump listened intently to the women he knows well? Did you hear the repeated declarations by Trump about “the wall” and how it will be built and Mexico will pay for it? Did you hear Sean Hannity ask Trump about a shift in position on illegal immigration? Did you hear Sean Hannity ask about the meeting with Hispanic leaders and whether they influenced Trump to go soft? Did you hear? Hey, guess what, we have a transcript. Let’s look and see what Trump said:

HANNITY: I have covered the border now for years on this program. I’ve been from the Rio Grande to San Diego and everywhere in between 12 times. I’ve been down to the — I’ve seen drug warehouses. I have seen tunnels. We’ll show some of the pictures.

My next question is — and this is where you seem to in the last week be revisiting the issue of sending everybody back that is here illegally. Tell us where you stand on that.

TRUMP: We want to follow the laws. You know, we have very strong laws.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

TRUMP: We have very strong laws in this country. And I don’t know if you know, but Bush and even Obama sends people back. Now, we can be more aggressive in that, but we want to follow the laws. If you start going around trying to make new laws in this country, it’s a process that’s brutal. We want to follow the laws of the country. And if we follow the laws, we can do what we have to do.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: Sean, let me tell you. (INAUDIBLE), we’ve got some great people in this country. They shouldn’t be here. They’re still great people, all right? But we’ve got some really, really bad gang members and some horrible people.

HANNITY: Start with them.

TRUMP: Those people are going out day one. They’re going to be the first order I sign. They’re gone day one!

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

HANNITY: All right. I know this question has come up a lot, what about people that work hard, have been here a long time, they own homes, they have their property, and this is a question everyone is going to want answered, what about them, do they have to go back or would you reconsider them?

TRUMP: We are going to follow the laws of the country.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

HANNITY: So they’re going to have to go back.

TRUMP: We are going to follow the law. And we’re going to see who people are. We’re going to see how they’ve done. Do you believe in a merit system, Sean? When people come in, as an example, do you believe in a merit system?

HANNITY: Sure.

TRUMP: One of the things that’s very unfair with leaving people is that you have years and years of people waiting on line. They’ve gone through a process, and they’ve — they’ve filed…

HANNITY: Legally.

TRUMP: Legally, they’ve filed. And they’re great people in some cases. I guess in some cases, maybe not. But you have really great people wanting and so proudly wanting to come into our country. And now what you’d be doing is you’d take people away from that line. And it’s really something…

HANNITY: Is there any part of the law that you might be able to change that would accommodate those people that contribute to society, have been law-abiding, have kids here? Would there be any room in your mind, or are you — because I know you had a meeting this week.

TRUMP: I did.

HANNITY: With Hispanic leaders.

TRUMP: I did. I did. I had a meeting with great people, great Hispanic leaders. And there certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people. We want people — we have some great people in this country. We have some great, great people in this country.

So but we’re going to follow the laws of this country.

(CROSSTALK)

TRUMP: And you know, what people don’t realize — what people don’t realize, we have very, very strong laws.

HANNITY: Yes, but Obama doesn’t follow them.

TRUMP: Yes, they don’t follow them. But we’re going to follow the laws.

Enforce the law, follow the law. At every turn Trump turns to the law as it is and is currently violated by Barack Obama. Hispanic leaders meeting? Follow the law. Great people here illegally? Follow the law. At every turn, even the difficult question of uprooting illegal immigrant families who have been here decades and grown roots, Trump responds “follow the law”.

Will you make some exemptions for illegal immigrants with heartbreaking stories and long roots in this country, asks Hannity? This is Trump’s best answer. Trump understands that some of the illegal immigrants who came to his country came to get a better life and Trump has a soft heart for this situation. But Trump asks and answers the important question. Trump says “follow the law” because Trump says, FAIRNESS.

We believe Trump should make the FAIRNESS argument more explicit. Trump says “now what you’d be doing is you’d take people away from that line” which is a very long way of saying “FAIRNESS!”. Legal immigrants came to this country and endured the burdens of law – yet some want to make exceptions for those who came here illegally. It’s about FAIRNESS. If Trump’s team reads here we strongly suggest they begin to counter the heartbreaking illegal immigrant narrative with the equally compelling counter argument that it is NOT FAIR to permit some to jump the line.

Trump argued that American children should have their dreams fulfilled too and given full opportunity. Trump declared our “dreamers” must get respect too as a counter to the illegal immigrant “Dreamers” argument. But Trump can expand that argument into a fairness argument that fits right into his overall election narrative.

Trump’s appearance on Hannity included the stunning testimony from mothers of slain children. Illegal immigrants slew their children. Trump side by side with these mothers did not appear to us to be weakening in his resolve to “follow the law”.

Likewise, Donald J. Trump will appear with Nigel Farage. Nigel Farage is no shrinking violet. Nigel Farage almost single-handedly forced the Brexit question on the ballot and Farage also led the successful Brexit vote. Nigel Farage led on the Brexit question in large part because of his concern about immigration. Donald J. Trump will appear with Nigel Farage:

Nigel Farage To Tell ‘Brexit Story’ At Trump Rally In Mississippi

The former UKIP leader says he will be talking about how to mobilise “a people’s army” at a Mississippi rally for the Republican.

Nigel Farage will appear on stage with Donald Trump in the US to discuss “the Brexit Story”, says an adviser to the former UKIP leader.

The Republican presidential nominee is due to campaign on Wednesday evening in Jackson, Mississippi, as Mr Farage visits the southern US state.

Mr Farage is expected to talk about how the “anti-establishment beat the establishment” to bring about Brexit. [snip]

Ahead of the appearance, Mr Farage appeared on the radio show SuperTalk Mississippi.

He railed against the political classes and compared Mr Trump’s popularity with the “silent majority” of the British people who voted for Brexit.

He said that just as Brexiteers mobilised a “people’s army”, so too can Mr Trump in the United States.

Mr Farage told the show: “I’m telling a story about Brexit, and it’s a story that if the grassroots Republicans pick up, and if they understand that what they’ve got to do is not just sit in their armchairs, they’ve got to get out, put their walking boots on, deliver leaflets, go out and meet these people in the communities.

“In a sense what I’m saying is that we mobilised a people’s army in the United Kingdom that went out and spoke to everybody and got them down the polls, the same thing can happen here.” [snip]

Mr Trump caused a stir last week with a cryptic tweet in which he said: “They will soon be calling me MR BREXIT!”

A lot of dopes are getting roped. “Follow the law” Donald Trump side by side with mothers of slain children and Nigel Farage is no dope. Trump is not a wobbly candidate, neither on immigration nor anything else.

  1. http://www.foxnews.com/transcript/2016/08/23/trump-on-deportation-stance-want-to-follow-laws/

My name is Laura Wilkerson (ph), and my family became the victim of illegal alien crime on November 16th, 2010. My youngest son, Joshua, (ph) was a senior in high school and had his whole life ahead of him.

He went to school and never returned. At trial, the killer testified on his behalf and gave exact testimony on how he systematically killed Joshua. He first threw a punch in the face so that Joshua’s vision was messed up and he could not fight back.

He next kneed Joshua in the abdomen so that he would go to the ground. Josh went to the ground as his spleen was sliced in half. Next, he took a closet rod and beat Josh over the head again and again until the rod broke in four pieces.

He waited and he watched him die. He tied Josh’s body up, stuffed him in the back seat of our truck, bought gas, dumped Josh in a field and set his body on fire. The killer went home, took a shower, and went to see a movie.

When we talked about fear, you know that illegals are afraid to come out of the shadows, you know, do you want to know what fear is? You know, when somebody reaches in your house and grabs your littlest kid and tortures him, you’re afraid of — of everything!

    From the Hannity interview.

  2. Sean, Sean I just want to say that the illegal alien that killed my son had been deported four times. He was a known gang member, burglary, assault, and on his third deportation when he came back in he went to federal prison, assaulted a man, and was supposed to get an extended 20 year mandatory sentence. They gave him, the United States government gave him a plea bargain to five years. If they would have even given him half of his sentence my son would still be here today. With all of that background they gave him the minimum sentence.

  3. On March 2, 2008, my life changed in a twinkling of an eye. One minute I’m hearing my son’s voice. Be right home, man. I’m right around the corner. Next minute, gun shots. And Jas is dead. I saw the hole in his head, and blood everywhere. It happened so fast Jas was still holding his phone.

We learned the killer was an illegal alien gangbanger from Mexico, released from jail with a deportation hold, three guns charges, and an assault and battery on a police officer.

  4. Brilliant. Admin. Brilliant.

Here is what I say to all this.

All these well heeled do gooders.

You who would put the burden on the rest of us.

You who want to have your illegal live in maids who you pay nothing.

I do not want your money.

What the fuck would I do with it.

I just don’t want YOU to have it.

Because as long as you have it, you will be imperious.

Come on down into the sewer with the rest of us.

    The 95 million.

    Welcome to our word.

And then tell us what is right.

As long as you have a cushion you are not in the game.

    Give-me-your-net-worth.

Then–only then will I listen to you.

    Fuck you limousine liberals.

If it was good enough for St.Francis of Azzizi

Then it damned well should be good enough for you.

  5. That may seem like a distraction, but I promise you it is not.

Simply put,, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE DONALD IS FIGHTING AGAINST.

These to the manor borne scumbags.

And it is a fight to the death, make no mistake about that.

What possible good does it do to reason with these people.

Appeal to their logic common sense patriotism?

Red State is dead, PJ media is half gone, only here on Big Pink does common sense prevail.

  6. Megyn Kelly is all excited, telling her guests that Trump has done a 180. Now, c’mon, it looks as though he’s considering some changes, but there’s nothing to say it’s a 180 shift.

    1. I really wish I could feel safe that Trump knows the true numbers of illegals here

    2. I really want birthright citizenship ended – but if he leaves all these non-citizens in place, their future descedents will all be illegals – we won’t be able to ever get rid of illegals….

Going home and coming back makes sense to me. The proper way to look at it is, to me, hey you got a bunch of stolen years in America, feel thankful. Now go home.

But I hope that people whose history showed they were NOT workers here, that they were living off our safety net, should NOT be allowed back in.

Hey, MX can make a big safety area (as WE have had to as they flooded over our border) where they can stay while they are awaiting their next step – can they be allowed back in, are they going to decide to go back home in MX? MX can stir their economy by providing this safety area, they’d have food vendors, etc. They could have specialists available to help them make their decisions about what to do (wait here to see if I can go back vs go back home and get a job in one of the formerly US organizations). Hey, look what poor Rio did to prepare for the Olympics. MX has stolen our jobs so is doing better, and their safety area won’t be as complicated as the Olympics, so MX, YOU CAN DO IT!

And…. I’m aware that mothers bring already-born kids with them, they “tear” their little ones up to high school, out of all they know, and bring them to a strange foreign land (U.S.), with no where to live, no where to work. And they figure it out. So I don’t think we would offend them by saying that they can’t bring the same ages of kids to a “strange foreign land” of their heritage, even a place many of them had lived previously.

  7. correction of my last line – we would not offend them by saying that they CAN bring…..

So I don’t think we would offend them by saying that they can’t bring the same ages of kids to a “strange foreign land” of their heritage, even a place many of them had lived previously.

  8. I view all these attempts to paint Trump as softening his stance on immigration as attempts to sow confusion and dissension among the ranks of Trump supporters, especially since Trump continues to gain on Hillary in the admittedly biased polls.

  9. He’s on Hannity, saying if they’ve been here 20 years, working, their family is great, shouldn’t we let them stay? (but no citizenship, will pay back and current taxes).

Still a problem with their descendants, if we get rid of birthright citizenship

And still a problem with freeing up jobs for 90 million Americans

  10. 1. We must enforce the laws?

    2. The laws are tough?

    3. (But) there needs to CAN BE a “softening”?

    4. Because we are not looking to hurt people.?

    ————

    Those statements are ambiguous.

I did not realize he used the word softening.

I now understand where Ann is coming from.

  11. I have no sympathy for those who came here illegally.

So I am not worried about hurting them by enforcing the laws.

They ASSUMED THE RISK that we would get we would enforce the laws.

And I do not give a flying fuck if they bought a home through B of A.

It is the question of deportation where I get hung up on the details.

  12. He used the word “softening” in the past, wbboei…

I have some sympathy for the people that would be going back – but as I said – they should look at it as a stolen treat, they were lucky to be able to steal it, and now back to their real life

  13. It’s angering me a bit. (I’m aware I don’t have the specifics yet.) But if there are 40-100 illegals, most aren’t criminals, so most would get to stay. Then we’ve got 90 million unemployed Americans. I know Trump is going to change regulations, etc, to encourage jobs here. But for up to 190 million people? I don’t think it’s realistic. I think it will lead to Americans being shortchanged again (b/c jobs like to pay less, because many want bilinguals – a result of being overrun by Spanish speakers).

  14. What is the one thing that could hurt Trump with his most ardent supporters? For him to back down on some of his most important positions, such as immigration. Somebody on the other side had to be smart enough to know this, I’m only surprised that this strong of an attack of this kind didn’t come sooner.

As long as Trump sticks to his guns, he can soften his language or play whatever angles or have his enemies spin their lies ad nauseum. At worst, Trump is light-years better than Hillary. But I’m glad I don’t have to vote for the lesser of two evils, because Trump has not let me down once. I have faith and give him the full benefit of the doubt until such a time as he brazenly betrays me, which I highly doubt will ever happen.

Thanks for the morale boost in these evil times admin. I take them every place I can find them. I don’t think my morale has dipped too low a single time since Iowa, not even when my home state of Utah cucked out and went full Cruz.

  15. ok, if he is going to allow up to 100 million people to remain, work jobs, just not be citizen or vote – then I really am afraid he won’t get rid of the 14th amendment, and I strongly feel we need to – or else a future president could just start using the larger interpretation and screwing everything up again.

Because, as I said, if he allows up to 100 million to remain and not be citizens AND gets rid of birthright citizenship, all the future born kids won’t be citizens. It will be a big new issue. We’ll have a constantly growing pool of people living here and generations past them with no one being a citizen.

So I’m worried he’s going to dump any attempt to end birthright citizenship.

  16. Admitting that it’s tougher to kick “good” illegals out than it is kicking the criminal illegals out (which is easy), isn’t changing position.
He even asked the audience what they thought — and they disagreed. It is harder to do.

  17. Venus, when he said it would be “tough” to kick whole families out – to me, I thought he meant “emotionally tough”, “unfair” maybe even. But it felt different to you? It seemed to you that “tough” just meant “hard”?

If so, I hope you’re right. But I’m feeling he’s going to let a whole lot stay. And IMO it will be a big problem when the real numbers are realized. I don’t think he can create enough jobs to provide to 90 million jobs for Americans unemployed, and then up to 100 million illegals….

  18. pepe – it’s not just coming from the other side in an attempt to demoralize his people – Trump’s starting to open up this conversation himself….

you’re (your name that is) reminding me of a childhood cartoon – what was it – pepe le pew? He was a stinky French skunk lol

  19. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/08/24/nigel_farage_at_trump_rally_anything_is_possible_if_enough_decent_people_fight_the_establishment.html

Former leader of the UK Independent Party Nigel Farage, credited for Brexit, addressed the audience at a Trump campaign rally in Jackson, Mississippi on Wednesday night. Farage left the UKIP after the United Kingdom voted to ‘leave’ the European Union.

“You can beat the pollsters, you can beat the commentators, you can beat Washington,” Farage said to cheers. “If you want change, you better get your walking boots on.”

“Anything is possible if enough decent people want to fight the establishment,” Farage said.

Farage also took a shot at President Barack Obama for campaigning against Brexit.

“The big card the prime minister (David Cameron) decided to play in the referendum is he got a foreign visitor to come to London to talk to us. Yes, we were visited by one Barack Obama. And he talked down to us. He treated us as if we were nothing,” Farage said.

“I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton if you paid me!” Farage jokingly said to the crowd.

“I wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton if she paid me!” Farage said to laughter.

  20. Yes he did say all, those things you listed Wbb, and that is why I got upset as well as Ann.

    His spokesperson, cough, cough..
kelly…cough, also used some of those statements.

When you listen to the mothers of their murdered children, it’s hard to believe he would 180 us, but he’s being vague, on purpose.
I understand Admin view, but he’s playing with fire.

He used the word “softening” in the past, wbboei…

    —-
I am sympathetic for the American citizen who cannot get a job because these invaders come in here and drive down wages.

I am sympathetic to the legal immigrant who waits his or her turn.

If it were my decision, and if an effective deportation strategy could be designed, and implemented, then I would send them back with no remorse.

If after being deported, they wanted to come in, they would have to do it legally.

  22. wbboei – you clipped me out of context – I acknowledged I have some sympathy, but that I think they should look at it as being lucky to have stolen some time here and now it’s time to go home….

  23. Admin, you have hit the nail on the head for DT’s plans as POTUS. That is why he does not need the globalist traitors in the legislature to implement his programs. That is how he will succeed.

It is the same in the courts with my experience with employment discrimination and why women make 80% of what men do, for the same work. All the law in the land will not help you if they are not applied, but are dismissed for special interests.

    *****************************************************

No, I think it meant both — emotionally and PR-wise (think Elian Gonzales — Trump doesn’t need the MSM accusing him of sending in armed agents to round up people, break up families & put them in cattle cars — which is exactly what they said during the primary).

That’s what he basically admitted he’s struggling with — but I still contend that building the wall, securing the border, getting the criminals out, enforcing the law and then dealing with the ones who have otherwise been decent, law-abiding (other than being here illegally) who want to stay, later isn’t changing his position. It’s prioritizing.

And lets face facts: many of the illegals who are here driving down wages, etc. don’t want to STAY here — they send most of the money they earn back home. They aren’t going to be willing to pay huge fines to stay — they’ll leave.

  26. From reading the last few articles from Admin, I’m starting to think the Trumpster’s people are reading this site. After all, if you want to learn about the opposition, go to the people who defected from that camp.

By the way, my own Gold Card should be in the mail today. (I hope!)

  27. I am not sympathetic to those who came here illegally. Those who have lived here illegally should never be given citizenship as far as I am concerned. I don’t think it would be necessary to round up families for deportation. If laws such as e verify were mandatory and if legal status was necessary to enroll children in public school, many would be forced to leave.
Ending birthright citizenship would have to happen before any “softening” of position on long term law abiding illegals. And ALL back taxes and fines would have to be paid….just like for an American who didn’t pay taxes for years…..none of this $5000 crap….wouldn’t we all like a gift like that.

Long time law abiding illegal families could be given a period of several years to leave so they could have time to arrange to relocate. I could see a scenario where long time law abiding illegals were given residency…but not citizenship….if they had legitimate jobs with sponsoring employers and had been paying taxes, had legal housing, had proof of health insurance and no other evidence of law breaking such as driving without licenses or insurance, fake papers, etc. Their children would Not be eligible for public funds or loans for education or housing.

One important issue no one has mentioned today is that if you allow people who came illegally to stay then you encourage more to come. That was the result of Regan’s amnesty which I had supported at the time. The result was that millions more came believing that eventually they would gain status.

The other thing not mentioned recently is that at least 40% of illegals came by plane on tourist visas and simply overstayed their visas. Many of these people fly back and forth….leaving their children behind with friends and relatives so they can go to school while they renew their tourist visas.
There is a relatively simple solution.

We have the technology to issue a credit card type identity card with a magnetic strip to everyone here. The cards could be color coded with a different color for every status,,,,citizen, permanent resident, tourist, student visa, guest worker etc. Student and tourist visas would have dates embedded in the code. In order to register your children for school you would need to present a viable card. Obviously someone here on a tourist visa should not have the right to enroll their children in public school but that is exactly what is happening.

  28. I agree with what admin wrote. I am a legal immigrant who spent 8 years navigating through all the immigration requirements before I finally and proudly took my oath of citizenship. All that Trump has to do is simply enforce the laws; when done so, it is nearly impossible for an illegal to get a job (unless you find an employer willing to pay hefty fines if caught), apply for a drivers license (unless you live in California), bank account or credit card. The ones who still stay despite all that have to hide and live off their relatives here or live underground in bad conditions. At some point, they will have to decide if it is really worth all the hardship to continue staying here. If Congress passes a law that ends citizenship for babies born to illegal immigrants or to those who come here on temporary visas like tourist or student visas and if that law survives a challenge in front of the Supreme Court, then that will remove the last hope some of them have of being able to return to the US through their children born here for the sole purpose of acquiring US citizenship by birth.

  30. Breitbart was critical of Mormons like Mike Lee and Orin Hatch for not supporting Trump.

Then, a young wet behind the ears member of the faith tells us that Mormons have been the victims of discrimination themselves, therefore, when Trump singles out radical Muslims who practice a religion incompatible with the values of this nation, and a clear and present danger to our safety, Mormons, mindful of their own history, and being children of God, oppose him.

An interesting argument to be sure. One that leaves the rest of us wondering where were those children of God when those among them dressed up like Indians, and slaughtered 120 men women and children of a wagon train headed through their region to California? I know them. I like them. But people who live in glass houses should not through stones, unless their name is Clinton. As they say, every good rule has its exceptions. And I am sure Hillary is having a good belly laugh over this, and all the Trump rallies. After all, when you have Soros in your corner it is a case of: what? me worry??

(Historical Note: The Mountain Meadows massacre was a series of attacks on the Baker–Fancher emigrant wagon train, at Mountain Meadows in southern Utah. The attacks began on September 7 and culminated on September 11, 1857, resulting in the mass slaughter of the emigrant party by members of the Utah Territorial Militia from the Iron County district, together with some Paiute Native Americans. The militia, officially called the Nauvoo Legion, was composed of southern Utah’s Mormon settlers (members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the LDS Church). Intending to leave no witnesses and thus prevent reprisals, the perpetrators killed all the adults and older children—about 120 men, women, and children in total. Seventeen children, all younger than seven, were spared.

  31. extremely disappointed in Trump … he said in teh primary ..the ALL go back and come in the DOOR we will build .. come in LEGALLY .. now it’s okkkkkk they can stay

He lost me at “they can stay”

Yes. It is a bit of a non sequitur, if you know what I mean.

    Its like saying:

    1. they take our jobs (with 95 million Americans out of work), and–

    2. they commit crimes (bring those widows on stage), and–

    3. they are a Trojan Horse (because we cannot vet them), and–

    4. they get better health care than our vets

    but . . .

    4. we don’t want to hurt them (just because they are here illegally) and-

    5. some of them would have made good citizens–

    6. if they had bothered to apply legally–

    7. which they did not (why wait in line when you can become an adverse possessor?) . . .

    8. we are building a big beautiful wall (as their lobbyists descend on Congress)

    9. and we will have so many jobs that it will not matter (we will take them from China)

So we will not deport them after all–unless they committed a felony.

10.hey Jorge, who loves ya baby? (oh, you want the felons here too, if they are Hispanic?)

    11.la raza (the race)

Of course it is more complicated than that. But politics is about perception. And that is why Ann says Trump supporters will forgive him for everything, but not if he waffles on immigration. And those who who do not support him will find some other excuse.

  33. Some Trumpsters freaking out over whether or not Trump is softening his stance on immigration need to take some Vitamin V(alium). Trump just needs to build that Wall, which he has repeatedly promised to do so, have Mexico pay for it and enforce all those laws that Obama has refused to do so. Anyone here illegally will soon find the US an inhospitable place to live in and will leave on their own. Any illegal immigrant caught by the police breaking the law will then be automatically turned over the ICE for deportation to the Mexican side of that Wall or put on a plane back to where they came from. No need for police or ICE officers smashing in doors of homes or asking for your papers in public places and checkpoints like the former Soviet Union or Nazi Germany.

  34. imo…the majority of BM has banded together to label Donald racist, Hitler, Mussolini, bigot, misogynist, baffon, carnival barker…on and on…

…as I write this Hillary is preparing to give a “speech” today that seeks to solidify that Donald is the worst man that ever walked on the earth and that he…and his supporters are either themselves or sympathetic to white supremists and the biggest and baddest racists of all time…seemingly, she plans to lump us all together…and announce that we are all a bunch of haters…

…and then the media will enforce her statements for days on end…

…let’s deal with reality and an election that is 73 days away…the man, Donald Trump, has a right to ‘humanize’ himself and express himself in inclusive terminology…and come across as ‘likeable’

Why should he stand by and let BM and Hillary’s camp pummel and define him into oblivion…

Donald has long been known by friends to be someone who has done and does so much annoymously to help people…I, for one, cannot understand why someone in his camp does not organize testimonials from some of those people…to show Donald’s “heart” …and generosity…

right now, Donald is appealing to urban black America…he is talking to the inner cities, not rich black pundits on TV…he is reaching out to them…

He is trying to “soften” on immigration rather than be painted and defined as a dictator…

…either way…let Trump be Trump is the constant refrain…well, let him be…I do not think Trumpsters should be jumping so far ahead that they are ready to give up on him when he has not been given the power yet to do anything…

first he has to win…otherwise everything else is meaningless…

He is going to be fair…give him a chance…

Clinton takes aim at Trump’s ties to ‘alt right’ world of radical conservatives

    snip

In a speech in Reno, Clinton will seek to define the insurgent breed of ideology that has fueled Trump’s rise as a dangerous cancer on the nation’s political discourse. She is taking aim at the so-called alt-right movement, a loosely defined and relatively new network of anti-establishment activists on the right that extends from mere outside-the-box protectionist thinkers to flagrantly racist and anti-Semitic hatemongers.

Trump’s alliance with the alt-right crowd is as nebulous as the movement itself. Its most extreme factions have no affiliation with the campaign, even as they praise Trump’s agenda and compare him favorably with Adolf Hitler. The more mainstream elements — including those demanding the deportation of immigrants in the U.S. illegally, an end to free-trade agreements, and the repudiation of Wall Street — are the lifeblood of the Trump campaign, amplifying its message on social media and driving turnout at his rallies.

    **************

    hmmm…”the more mainstream elements”

  36. Good strategy for him to work with the more moderate leaders of the African American community in making his message even more convincing to African American voters.

  37. S, Hillary Clinton should not make the “alt-right” speech. All it will do is open her up to her associations with the far left, Mothers of the Movement, Soros, etc.

  38. I think Hillary is now encased inside a bubble so thick that she is impervious to common sense about making that alt-right speech.

  39. The cracked pot AceofSpades and assorted others are making wild claims about Trump incompetence because today Trump was not listed by the secretary of state of Minnesota on a list of those on the November Minnesota ballot. Ace and other loons claimed Trump failed to list electors and it was now too late to call a convention to fix the problem. Once again Ace is wrong. Trump will be in the Minnesota ballot:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/trumps-name-not-listed-on-minnesota-ballot-227402

Donald Trump’s name will appear on Minnesota ballot, a state official said, after its initial absence from the secretary of state’s website caused minor alarm in Minnesota GOP circles.

“We just received the last item,” said Ryan Furlong, communications director for the Minnesota Secretary of State, about Trump’s paperwork. “We were waiting for a pledge from one of the alternate electors. The filing is complete and the Republican ticket should be listed on our site shortly.”

  40. Aceofspadeshq had become like a Bad Housekeeping blog. They have posts on food, sports, books, music, paintings, and then a constant anti Trump article daily.

  41. Dot48, Big Media will do anything to attack Trump. Beware. Don’t rely on interpretations by Big Media of what Trump said. “Enforce the law” is all you need.

    Here’s Coulter:

    https://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/ann-coulter-grapples-with-trump-deportation-flip-flop?utm_term=.urWJmxRgv#.jyX0dOQmk

WASHINGTON — Ann Coulter downplayed Donald Trump’s shift on immigration on Wednesday night, saying there had not been a real reversal.

Coulter, who has been one of Trump’s biggest defenders and whose book Adios America! may have inspired some of Trump’s immigration policies, told reporters at a party for her new book In Trump We Trust at Breitbart News’ house in Washington that there had not been a change in Trump’s position.

Trump on Wednesday signaled openness to allowing some immigrants in the country illegally to stay, in an interview with Sean Hannity — a significant policy break.

It’s not a reversal, there’s no change,” Coulter said. “I’m annoyed with the rhetoric. I’m annoyed enough with what he actually did without the media being hysterical about things he didn’t do.”

“He speaks in broad strokes,” Coulter said. “Listen to Stephen Miller. He has the policy. He’s the brains of the operation.” Miller is a top policy adviser to Trump who used to work for Sen. Jeff Sessions, a Trump endorser who has been one of the most vocal immigration hawks in the Senate.

Coulter said earlier this week that it was a “mistake” for Trump to talk about “softening” his immigration stances, and that “It sounds like it’s coming from consultants.”

In Coulter’s new book, she writes that “There’s nothing Trump can do that won’t be forgiven. Except change his immigration policies.”

Later on Thursday night, after the book party, Coulter tweeted several times critically about Trump: “Well, if it’s ‘hard,’ then nevermind. Trump: ‘… to take a person who’s been here for 15 or 20 years ….It’s a very, very hard thing.’”

Coulter’s party took place at Breitbart’s “embassy,” a Capitol Hill house the site has used as an office and base of operations for years. Breitbart’s chairman Steve Bannon recently became the Trump campaign’s CEO.

Breitbart’s political editor Matt Boyle gave the introductory speech for Coulter ahead of the book signing.

Other prominent immigration hawks who support Trump were in attendance, such as blogger Mickey Kaus, who told BuzzFeed News that “It seems to me like dialing back on detentions is a reasonable thing to do. It’s not a crucial part of his message. There are other parts of his message that are crucial. But if you’re going to do it, do it quickly and neatly and get it done with. I don’t understand why they’re dragging it out unless they have some strategy I can’t figure out.”

He has a very strong anti-illegal immigration message whether or not he deports everybody immediately or just enforces the immigration laws strictly and builds the law and puts in place e-verify and does it all before any amnesty, that’s a very strong package, I’m for him doing that,” Kaus said, adding that deportations are a “secondary issue” to preventing future illegal immigration.

Kaus said Trump is “still head and shoulders better than Hillary on this issue,” but that “I just think this one particular issue he’s not handling as well as he should.”

Enforce the law. That’s all you need to do.

  42. GonzoTx, soon Taylor Swift videos will be the topic to waste time and avoid writing intelligent articles.

he is defending common sense positions against being considered racist

Hillary is smearing decent people…Donald says to Hillary “shame on you”

69 million in donations from wall st and big banks…spends her time with wealthy donors and hollywood celebrities…and with foreign dictators…easy to ignore the devastion of open borders etc

  46. A uniter, not a divider, our Hillary.

So, we have had our first black president, and we are half way to hell.

Time for our first woman president to complete our journey

That is not to say there are not women and blacks with integrity and respect for the country.

But they missed the casting call for Obama I, II, III.

I have said it repeatedly here on this blog since 2008.

If you want to know what the Democrat Party Agenda is, read the Soros website.

And now we have the inside story thanks to DC leaks.

They prove to a fare thee well that the goal of that agenda is:

    1. first, to destroy the country.

    2. second, to construct a new world order from the ashes, with a very restrictive membership.

    3. third, to institute world government.

The Clinton campaign attack ad targeting Donald Trump portrays Breitbart News employees and readers as racists, white supremacists, and members of the Ku Klux Klan.

The ad includes shots of men dressed in Ku Klux Klan robes followed by footage of crowded Trump rallies.

Last month, Breitbart News was read by a record 31 million people.

Hillary Clinton described KKK recruiter Robert Byrd as her “mentor.”

Pastor Mark Burns, who is black, from the Trump camp condemned the tactic:

Hillary Clinton and her campaign went to a disgusting new low today as they released a video tying the Trump Campaign with horrific racial images. This type of rhetoric and repulsive advertising is revolting and completely beyond the pale. I call on Hillary Clinton to disavow this video and her campaign for this sickening act that has no place in our world.

  47. Over the last two days I have been through a harrowing ordeal.

I have been set upon by pollsters, who refuse to take go fuck yourself as an answer.

Three of them from different agencies.

They refuse to tell you whom they work for.

They call you around dinner time to interrupt your digestion.

And if you bite, you have no guarantee how those results will be used, and for whom.

  48. Wbboei,
That’s one reason I’m convinced these polls are out in la la land – aside from the downright bizarre d/r/I skews utilized.. First, what is the demo of people who still have a land line? Once you find such a person, they may not be disposed to give you any f’ing answer. Personally, though I’ve never been contacted for a poll, depending on my mood, I may well tell them F U.

  49. Probably right Admin, I even forgot their posts on cat videos and then pets in general.

Ace has gone and lost his mind.

Huge antiTrumper…would probably bed Cruz if he asked…

  50. I stand corrected.

Once upon a time, I thought that selling the state department to foreign governments in exchange for personal financial gain was problematic.

But then today I read in the Seattle Times, a thoroughly useless rag, that all Hillary was doing when she did exactly that was “testing the limits of the campaign election laws”.

That, apparently, is the best the establishment can do with these bad facts. The problem is their answer does not pass the red face test. Some might even say it is transparent bullshit. Why? Because the thing speaks for itself.

But like the BBC prime minister, Francis Urquart (FU for short), when faced with a situation he really wanted to drill down on, would cite the very worst of what his allies were saying about someone, commend them for their earnestness, and then say: I really couldn’t comment.

  51. Hannity just said Trump only has 74% of Republican support and he can’t win without 90% and he blames Romney, Cruz..all of them…probably trie.
I think Trump thinks they may be a lost cause and that’s why he has to get votes from AA’s and Latinos…

  52. I watched Donald’s speech and then went to the gym…when I got there Hillary was just starting her speech…it was too, too much…

    she is mean…mean spirited…and sounded ugly…

I could not even watch it…went back and forth to give her a chance but she is so filled with hate herself…it almost feels like for all the wrong that has been dumped on her by an serial unfaithful husband and politics witch hunts she is going to turn it on Donald Trump full blast with no freaking boundaries

I cannot even say I still even like her…and I know for a fact, I do not want to listen to her scolding voice with her cold angry eyes for the next four years…not to mention her continued corruption

and sorry Lu4Puma if you do not like my description or think it is sexist…that’s the way I see her…mean, cold, ruthless and a liar…I cannot believe her…what a shocking disappointment…for me…

Admin, I wish your comment about Hillary being compared to the far left or Soros would be true…but I fear, it won’t…no one ever mutters Soros name or the far left…

instead everyone will now get an education on alt-right…whoever they are and then the BM will try to tag Donald and his innocent supporters with their BS…

disgusting…we are now officially in the gutter and Hillary dragged us there…

I hope this backfires on her big time…maybe Assange can step it up…

  53. Good move on the part of Trump to preemptively address the racism charge in his New Hampshire speech today, calling it the last refuge that Democrats make when they cannot defend their policies as well as saying that he will never back down unlike Republicans who get cowed when they are called racists by Democrats.

  54. Hannity just said Trump only has 74% of Republican support and he can’t win without 90% and he blames Romney, Cruz..all of them…probably trie.
I think Trump thinks they may be a lost cause and that’s why he has to get votes from AA’s and Latinos…

‘Roughly the same 25% who stood by Bush til the very end.

  55. one last thing…talk about overkill…

guess it is not enough for Hillary to outspend Donald on TV ads against him at a ratio of Hillary spending $57 Million dollars to Donald spending $4 Million

and she spent the whole weekend hitting up Hollywood celebs for multi millions…didn’t have time to even make a statement to LA victims…to busy yukking it up with Justin Timberlake and cozing up to the golfer at cocktail parties…

    I am really fed up…

  56. I’m starting to believe she was never that smart and she was never “the only adult” in the room. Just ambitious, with enough smarts and with the power and money to fulfill the ambition.

Throwing the KKK out to label Trump is a dumb ass mistake. Amateur? Nope. Dumb as a post? Nope. Starting to get desperate? Hmm. Maybe.

There is a reason why Soros backed Preezy Stinky Feet and not her in 2008. Perhaps the reason he backed her now is because it was all the was left in his arsenal.

Among other things, Trump does much better with independents who larger than either of the official parties:

  58. btw…Donald will be going to the inner cities of Detroit and Cleveland to speak with the people living there…

Conway is the sweet, softspoken public face of the Trump campaign, while Bannon is the consiglieri working behind the scenes and probably helping polish Trump’s attack on Hillary in his recent speeches.

  60. Trump needs to start wearing body armor and having his food tasted.

Do I think Hillary Will Win? Buckle Your Seats – This Will be Worse than You Thought

When it came to BREXIT, the computer correctly forecast that the leave side would win and there would be a big turnout. I personally stated that I “believed” they would rig the election as they had done with every other European election from Austria and Scotland all the way to Italy and Spain. I also stated that the only way for BREXIT to win would be an overwhelming majority, which did happen. Personally, I was wrong for I questioned whether they would really be able to win. This is what I mean that my “opinion” is not infallible. It’s just an opinion.

Looking at the Electoral College, yes it appears to be a close race again. The population voting models only give Hillary a 25% chance of winning. But the press is in all out war against Trump and the American people creating propaganda like we have never seen in American history. Once again, I will say this. UNLESS there is a huge turnout, they will UNDOUBTEDLY rig the game for Hillary. You have the Republican Elite who behind the curtain are pushing for Hillary. So I would also have to assume they will rig the election every which way possible. There is far too much at stake to allow an OUTSIDER to go to Washington. They stole state from Bernie to make sure Hillary won. Without that, Bernie would have been the candidate.

If the history of the Roman Empire has any guidance, Hillary will take the throne and her corruption is all that is needed to end Western Civilization much like Maximinus. This was the crooked emperor who declared all wealth belonged to the state. He paid spies to report people with wealth who were hiding anything. That was the tipping point and Hillary has always preached socialism. What happened was unbelievable. When you attack the people in such a manner as will Hillary, they will contract, hoard, and not invest. Obama has the worse economic growth of any president since the Great Depression. Hillary will beat that.

So I believe they will rig the game. The cannot afford a Trump victory. IF THERE IS A HUGE popular turnout that puts Trump in that 60% category, I believe they will assassinate him. He would tear the bankers apart and has already stated he will end nation-building, which is the life-blood of neoconservative. Maybe I am wrong and Trump will win. That remains to be seen for my opinion is not worth much – it’s just opinion.

  61. Larry Johnson’s take on the ongoing circus over Trump’s immigration stance.

I can’t help it. Commenting on the Trump campaign is like watching a thirty car pile up at the Indy 500. Totally captivating. But it is not Trump that fascinates me so much as it is the media and the pundit class. They have lost their freaking minds.

If you emotionally detach yourself and simply look at this objectively you will concede that Trump has a new style and new language. Gone, for the most part, is Trump the Insult Dog. The “new” guy is Charming President Trump. I do not know who persuaded him to adjust the tone and presentation, but it is noticeable. And the change is making the media, even many of the Fox personalities, bat-shit crazy.

They are hollering and screaming about flip-flops and bad polls. But the actual news shows that not only stopped the bleeding but has reversed the trends and regaining momentum. But you won’t hear much about that on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, CBS or NBC. Doesn’t matter. The change is real.

Some on the right are working up a froth claiming that Trump has now embraced the Jeb Bush/Marco Rubio position on immigration. If you saw the Trump townhall the other night he played this perfectly. He asked the audience, “Should we deport everyone” or “Only deport the bad people.” The crowd reaction was overwhelming–throw out the bad people. What would you say about a politician who ignored what the majority of his supporters want? You would say that man or woman is insane.

Meanwhile, Hillary is sliding. The Clinton Foundation will continue to dog her for the next two months. It will be a constant reminder of her corruption and her lies. That ain’t going away and there is nothing she can do in the next two months that will boost enthusiasm for her candidacy.

But that’s not what you are hearing from the bleating media. Doom and gloom for Trump and the Republicans. I think the reports of Trump’s political death are quite premature.

I have noted in previous postings that Trump’s management style is hands on and chaotic. While the chaos can be bad it also reflects that he is quite hands on and is always tinkering with organization, structure and message in order to get the outcome he wants. That’s how he runs his golf courses and, by the looks of it, that’s how is running as President.

I watched Donald’s speech and then went to the gym…when I got there Hillary was just starting her speech…it was too, too much…

    she is mean…mean spirited…and sounded ugly…

    …..

Exactly- She is not the same candidate as Hillary 08′
Even her tone of voice is from an entirely different place leading me to believe she has gone over to the ‘dark’ side. Just imagine what she might have been like as president had she WON the election in 08′. When you examine her actions as SOS in relation to CGI, (which in comparison might be considered small potatas) rather than under the loose constraints of using her position as SOS, an irresistible useful $$$ funnel to CGI. Imagine the power and damage she could have inflicted on the world had she been elected The Leader of the Free World and to boot, the handmaiden of George Soros.

We may have dodged a bullet here.

  63. With her internals flagging, with scandals mounting, with democrats across the country calling my favorite girl Andrea Mitchell (Greenspan you luck dog) and saying what should I be saying to rebut all this pay to play scandal besides telling people she is testing the outer limits of the election laws, etc. Hillary has embraced the time honored strategy of leftists and last bastion of scoundrels–call your opponent a racist when you cannot handle his argument. What is different here is she is calling his supporter–ALL OF THEM racists, etc. In war there are rules. In war, it is tempting to bomb civilians to put pressure on your opponent, but the law of nations forbids this. Ditto in politics, until now. For now, the Empress of Chapaqua has given the order to bomb civilians. In politics, they are non combatants. One of the things that allies learned after bombing Dresden and Cologne during World War II was that far from demoralizing civilians, such tactics harden the resistance. Clausewitz may have predicted this, but it took British General Fuller, the inventor of Blitzkrieg, and British captain Liddell Hart to confirm it. That is the fire Hillary is playing with now. Its her life but it is our country, not Soros’s. Here is how Donald handled it, for now. Stay tuned.
    ——-
At a rally in New Hampshire Thursday afternoon, Trump called Clinton’s accusations of racism “the oldest play in the Democratic playbook.”

“Now, I’ve not seen what Hillary is going to say, but I’ve heard about it. And, in a sense, I don’t want to dignify her statements by dwelling on them too much, but a response is required for the sake of all decent voters that she is trying to smear,” Trump said. “When Democratic policies fail, they are left with only this one tired argument. ‘You’re racist, you’re racist, you’re racist,’ they keep saying it, ‘you’re racist.’ It’s a tired, disgusting argument, and it’s so totally predictable. They’re failing so badly. It’s the last refuge of the discredited Democrat politician. They keep going back to the same well, but you know what? The people are becoming very smart. They’ve heard it too many times before. The well is dry.”

  64. Mrs. Smith1,

Are you out of your mind? Have you missed what the HandMAN of George Soros has been doing to us? The reason they selected him over Hillary in ’08 is because they knew they would not get the free reign that Barack Obama has given them.

While Soros has managed to thoroughly destabilise the European Union by promoting mass immigration and open borders, divided the United States by actively funding Black Lives Matters and corrupting the very corruptible US political class, and destroyed Ukraine by pushing for an illegal coup of a democratically elected government using neo-nazi strong men…one country that Soros has not bee able to crack has been The Russian Federation.

    Hardly!

You must have missed reading the treatise written by Wbboei I published on Pumas Unleashed on George Soros.
That was I believe in 09′- Wbb and I collaborated on giving the elites ‘a face’ and ‘a name’ to enlighten the public as to what we were up against.

Hillary is an overachiever and her unethical behaviour as a young pup was dubious.. The reason why she was fired and threatened with sanctions leading up to the Nixon Impeachment.

Obama never was anything more than a community organizer and a puppet. And has been a serious disappointment to the Soros Group- why? because he couldn’t even produce the chaos they wanted, in spite of all Soros’ help.

  69. I can’t believe how some of you on here are so ready to throw the towel in when it comes to Trump and his stance on immigration. What don’t you get about “enforce the law?” When a person is here illegally they are breaking the law and what happens to lawbreakers? They face consequences.

He has to “soften” his words on deportations so they can’t throw him under the bus at the debates about how he will go about enforcing that. Cattle car? Door to door? How will that look to the millions upon millions who will be watching the debates? What Admin keeps hammering is that he keeps saying “enforce the law” because after he is our President he will do exactly as he promised which is deport lawbreakers. I have every faith in him. Bill Mitchell on Twitter put it this way: What’s the first thing you do in a flood? You build a wall and then you mop. That made a lot of sense to me. Please have faith in the man.

  70. Tony, thanks for the article at 12:44 – it’s nice to see the clear, strong language again.

    However. 🙂

He is saying there is no path to citizenship unless they leave and come back. That’s the same as usual. But it’s not conclusive, IMO, because it leaves space for the possibility he was referring to in the Hannity show when he suggested that longer term people might be able to stay without being citizens (no need to go home and return, because they aren’t looking for citizenship).

If it turns out these longer term people will be allowed to stay as non-citizens, then the question becomes will they be allowed to work (and affect the ability of Americans to have jobs).

If they will be allowed to work, then it’s kind of a joke on us.

If they will not be allowed to work, then it’s kind of a joke on them. Sure you can stay as a noncitizen, but you can’t support yourself, so really you’re going to have to leave like the others, but it made me sound big hearted in the campaign, didn’t it?

  71. He is saying there is no path to citizenship unless they leave and come back
    ——–
The operative word is not citizenship. It is legalization. All that legalization means is they have a bare license to be here, subject to the terms of the green card. It does not mean citizenship, which I would argue equates to ownership.

Blowmeobama: do you think that is an accurate characterization–licensee vs owner? To a lawyer yes. To a layperson, perhaps not. The American citizens own this nation. Not the elites. And certainly not illegals or little monkeys like Jorge Ramos who is a waste of protoplasm.

  72. There is a path to citizenship for illegals save this:

Go back where you came from, apply and live there until your application is accepted, then go to the back of the line behind all those who applied legally right up to that point.

Until citizenship is granted your right to be here at all depends upon the issuance of a green card, and your strict compliance with its terms.

Breach those terms and you will be deported. Furthermore, your application for citizenship will be deemed null and void ab initio.

  73. So wbboei –

If they have a green card, can they work? (I think they are allowed….?) The number of people here over 10-15 years is high. They will still displace a lot of American workers.

Do you feel he will still pursue ending birthright citizenship? If so, then what will be the citizen status of any new children these longer term non-citizens have? May be a sticky wicket.

  74. A person with a green card is one who is a legal permanent resident, meaning they are foreign citizens who live here permanently and pay US taxes. It is a requirement before becoming a full citizen; you have to be one for a certain number of years before you can apply for full citizenship. As far as children born in this country to parents who are not citizens, if the parents are not here illegally or are here temporarily like a tourist or student visa, then my opinion is that they should not automatically become US citizens. As far as children born to legal permanent residents go, I’m fine with them acquiring US citizenship at birth, but then that could be clarified by congress or the US Supreme Court.

  75. Sorry, what I meant to say is that if the parents are here illegally or on temporary visas, then I am of the opinion that their children born here should not get automatic US citizenship.

It’s been a while since I had to learn about immigration law, but what I recall is that yes, if you are here illegally, then the only way you can ever hope to qualify to become a permanent resident and eventually apply for citizenship is through an amnesty program, otherwise you will always live in fear of being deported no matter how long you live here. If you are deported by ICE, then you will be banned from applying for ANY visa for 10 years. Therefore, if you really do want to eventually become a legal resident and are currently here illegally, then your best strategy really should go back to your home country and apply to come back to the US legally through the US consulate of your country like everyone else.

  77. Tony, I’m trying to work through understanding what Trump was saying, suggesting that longer-term non-criminal illegals should be allowed to stay here, but not be allowed citizenship. I’m trying to figure out if he was pandering or being serious.

If he was pandering, then I would imagine they would *not* be allowed to work (or get benefits), and therefore they really would need to self-deport, as well as others under official threat of deportation. So hearing this right now would make them happy, only to be surprised later on when the details are clear, that while *allowed* to stay, they can’t afford to.

If he was telling the truth, they’d have to be allowed to work, in order to take care of themselves. Then leads to my question about their children, if they would be citizens or not. I really want to see birthright citizenship ended, and if Trump follows through on that, these people allowed to stay and work but who aren’t citizens, would be having non-citizen children. That could add up to a lot of new non-citizens, all born here. And what about *their* children, they would *also* be non-citizens.

People say, “it’s all in his words, he keeps saying he’ll follow existing laws” – so that suggests that he is pandering when he says all the many long-term illegals can stay without becoming citizens.

Maybe he wants many to be worried about being deported, leading to them self-deporting (and the criminals being officially deported), and figures there won’t be many left still in the U.S., and then just let them stay, supported by family.

I just hope if it’s true there are so very many illegals (way more than 11 million), that Trump is aware of whatever the honest official estimate is, and realizes that there are many, many long-term illegals (which if left behind, would still affect American jobs, etc)….

  78. lol I was sleeping. I woke up, and started reading the computer waiting to fall back asleep. I just realized that what I just posted, I said in different words earlier in the evening. Sorry Tony lol

Being and overachiever and her involvement in the Nixon fraud is nothing compared to the monstrous fraud Obama has perpetrated on this country. How you can say we are lucky to have him instead of Hillary these last years is beyond comprehension.

The proof is that the loon left picked Obama over Hillary. They have gotten all they wanted from him. Hillary would not have given them that and that is why they picked BO. That it has not turned out the way they wanted is simply the difference between their fantasy about their ideology and the reality of it.

The only good thing about their BO choice is that if we had Hillary these last 8 years things would not be so bad that the public would have to wake up to what is going on, or become enslaved.

  80. Frankly after observing how Hillary conducted herself as SOS at the State dept and how mercenary and power hungry and greedy she & bill have become…I don’t think anyone can really know what she would do

They can build a bureacracy on everthing else so why not this.

Before they can be hired for a permanent job, the prospective employer must certify in writing that he has conducted an exhaustive search on line and in the newspapers for American citizens qualified to perform the job, and finding none, only then will the green card holder be hired. Provided however the green card holder must be paid minimum wage, or the base rate under a union contract. The employer must withhold social security and taxes from the paycheck. And, in all cases, the green card holder will be treated as an employee at will. Any employer who fails to comply with these procedures shall be subject to the revocation of his license and if that failure is deemed wilful then he shall be guilty of a felony. Naturally, the progressives will wail and nash their teeth as something this barbaric, and because they feel so strongly about it they shall be given the choice between giving their own job to an American citizen who cannot find work, or shutting their fucking hypocritical mouth. And of course the elites will whine and say what kind of a country are we living in. And we can say one with 95 million American citizens not working and since you feel so strongly about it, how do you feel about a net worth tax on you, to finance this program. At that point, trust me, you will hear nothing more from those hypocritical motherfucker, because, despite their pretentions of morality and their willingness to play god with other peoples money, they need their own money to lead the lavish lifestyle which they were put on earth to live, and it is a heavy cross to bear.

I think he hasn’t quite formulated the details of how to get 11 million illegal immigrants out of the country. Done ineptly like rounding them up using the military, for example, could lead to serious political consequences. The obvious first step though is to seal the border with a wall to prevent those who are deported from walking right back in. Next, he will likely concentrate on getting the worst of the worst, meaning the illegals who commit vicious crimes and are involved in gangs and drug trafficking, deported. Then I think he’ll go after the rest simply by enforcing the laws prohibiting the hiring of illegals and making it very difficult for them to stay thus encouraging them to pack up and leave. With regards to underage children of illegal immigrants born here, currently they either leave with their parents or they stay with relatives who are here legally. Currently, the parents of children who are US citizens are given high priority in terms of being petitioned by their children to be allowed to have an immigrant visa, and this is a loophole that some illegals take advantage of by coming here for the sole purpose of having a US citizen baby who becomes their ticket back to the US when they grow up. Once they get in, they then petition for other non-citizen children to come in, which is one reason why so many people who don’t share American values get into this country. Congress needs to end this practice by no longer giving relatives of these US citizen children high priority.

  84. From the LA Times.
    Op-Ed
    What’s the Alt-Right?
    Thomas J. Main
Hillary Clinton attacked Donald Trump on Thursday for his cozy relationship with a new political movement, the Alternative Right, or Alt-Right. The Alt-Right rejects American democracy as did the American communists of the 1930s and the New Left of the 1960s. The main challenge to our way of life today now comes not from the radical left, but the Alt-Right.
Starting in the 1960s, anti-Semites, overt racists, and John Birch Society adherents were cast out of the political mainstream. These outcasts lay low for a while, but they didn’t just disappear. Now their ideological descendants are trying to take over the Republican Party (as well as the country).
The Alt-Right supports the mass deportation of undocumented immigrants and protectionist trade policies. It opposes feminism, diversity, gay rights, globalism, gun control and civil rights.
But it is the underlying ideology of the Alt-Right, rather than its controversial policy positions, that is truly sinister. Alt-Right thought is based on white nationalism and anti-Americanism. The Alt-Right holds, in essence, that all men are not created equal, and that as racial equality has displaced white dominance, America has declined and no longer merits the allegiance of its white citizens….
    http://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/

    I need a shower.

  85. Anderson Cooper tried his best to trip Trump up over the immigration issue, but Trump stuck to his guns pretty much saying the same thing: build the wall, find and expel the illegal immigrants who are criminals then find the rest.

  86. According to Trump, the police know who the criminals who are illegal immigrants are, and the first thing he does in office is return to the police the authority to arrest them and deport them.

  87. Donald is the only candidate making any sense on the immigration issue…

what is Hillary’s position…more open borders…she has said our borders are the safest they have ever been…more illegals…and more unvetted refugees…

no acknowledgment or recognition of American citizens who have suffered or lost loved ones because of repeatedly deported illegal aliens…

more sanctuary cities that will protect criminals and path to citizenship to all…

all to receive benefits…in some circumstances above what Americans receive

    **************************

do not expect the whole alphabet from A to Z from Donald … there will never be a round up of millions of illegals to be torn from their families and carted out…

if you are hoping for that it is unrealistic…He is starting with the basics, will follow the current laws that are now being inhibited, he will get rid of the drug cartels and stop that flow in of drugs at the border…New England will be thrilled and so appreciative…he will end the business of anchor babies…scheduled within other countries and marketed as such…

…and then he says “we will see what happens”

meaning they will begin a process on a case by case basis…he will add structure and authority to carry that out…

it is unrealistic and foolish to expect him to say more than that at this juncture

what would his critics prefer…Hillary’s plan??

  88. Once that wall is up and illegal immigrants involved in crimes, drugs and gangs are expelled, the rest will begin to see the writing on the wall as far as their future here in the US or absence of it once the laws are again enforced and they start finding themselves unable to find employment here.

  89. Before Obama took office and started telling the border patrol and ICE to release them, illegal immigrants who were told to leave or who were caught would get a lawyer to petition the courts to allow them to stay because they would claim asylum or persecution, etc. This is what Trump means when he said that it will be decided on a case-to-case basis. In other words, he’s going to bring back the same process as before for illegal immigrants trying to stay here before 2009, which the media has already conveniently forgotten.

  90. this is rich…coming from Charles Blow on CNN

CNN is the biggest joke on TV these days…they stack their panels a minimun of 4 to one vs the rather shy trump supporters and then whoever is the host chimes in and explains the Clinton side against Trump…and they mock and make fun of the Trump supporter and interrupt so the Trump supporter cannot even finish their one little sentence or POV…so it is a complete gang up…

…and when that panel is over in the next segment they have on a NeverTrump guest or someone against Trump to continue to trash him

Charles Blow is outraged below and so entitled…he cannot stand that CNN would allow a black Trump supporter on to question him…

  91. Very interesting.

Trump loses to Hillary in the telephone polls by 5.2 points

HOWEVER, in the on line polls, Trump beats Hillary.

The difference is big media has made it embarrassing to ADMIT that you are voting for Trump.

But in a poll where you do not have to reveal your preference to a live person

Like an on line poll, and, more importantly

    Like the general election

    You get the truth

During the primaries, Trump polled 5 points less than the actual election vote.

The norm in politics is the candidate who is leading in August loses in November.

Trump’s negatives are driven by his presentation.

He has turned the corner on that problem, and is sounding more presidential.

Hillary’s negatives are driven by what she has done.

What is done cannot be erased, even by big media.

And that is because we live in the internet age

And they can no longer control the way people think

And the harder they try the faster they write their own, well deserved, OBITUARY.

Trump is a negotiator and a closer.

The debates will afford him the opportunity to close the deal.

I know I am getting ahead of thing, but that is the trend line that I perceive.

At least one guy agrees with me. . . .

    http://www.nationalenquirer.com/videos/donald-trump-polling-results-election-national-enquirer/

  92. The other thing not to be underestimated is the energy levels of the two candidates. Trump has spoken to this issue vaguely, but not in the way I will right now. Bush the elder, Kerry, and Romney ALL ran out of steam in the last month of the election, whereas their opponents who went on to win, had higher energy. Trump has a higher energy level than any previous candidate from either party, whereas Hillary is frail, with her thyroid problem and the injury she sustained when she fell which appears to have had lasting effects. This dynamic will drive big media to the point that they will start physically accosting those who do not swallow their hopium. Take someone like Chas Blow for example. He is an affirmative action candidate through and through, and he will go to his ignominious grave defending that perverse system of corruption and racial spoils. He is morally and intellectually corrupt.

  93. We need to set up a prison someplace which is the American equivalent of devils island, put the word out that conditions inside are really rough, and let big media and the ACLU go in there to investigate and prove to the world what superior people they are, and then lock the cell doors behind them. Then we can turn those idolotors, those worshippers of Mammon, those heretics over to Iran, and let the ridiculously incompetent Kerry negotiate for their release. But first, lock the doors of Fort Knox.

  94. Since Kerry has had one or more accidents riding his bicycle and training wheels have been outlawed by OSHA, I think it is only right that Mr Teresa Heins should be issued a drivers license for a tricyle, with a top end speed not to exceed 5 miles an hour, so he is unable to drive faster than he can think. Remember, only you can prevent forest fires, or bicycle mishaps.

lol love the hat Hill!! 😀

It would appear that despite decades of selfless public service, the right wing conspiracy never goes away. You could even say as long as there is a Clinton there will be corruption and a right wing conspiracy to deplore it. Today, it masquerades under the name of alternative right, but lets get real about this: it is the same group of white male chauvinist pigs who cannot stand to see a black man–now a woman in the White House.

We could handle them in the past thanks to our loyal allies at Herald Square. But eeeeeeeek now there are more of them! and they have been empowered by the internet!! But I have a solution Madame Secretary: we need to expand the current project to abolish the Second Amendment to the now urgent task of abolishing the First Amendment as well. And while we are at it, perhaps we should ask our benefactor George Soros whether we should abolish the entire Bill of Rights.

Now a word from our fashion editor: I must say that tin foil hat is very stylish, but it looks to be a little small for the head. Maybe we can find an authority like arch racist Chaz Blow of NYT to comment, since he is the final judge of small matters, plus he is corrupt.

  96. …it occurs to me that Hillary and the Dims and BM are actually afraid that Donald may break through…his message of help…fixing…making the lives better for the people who live in the inner city…

…a chance for them to really feel safe…have some new businesses invest in their neighborhoods…get in there and remodel and bring all their schools up to code and brought into present day operations going forward…

what if Donald really code make a positive change? a new way…an American Revival…

Hand in their Donald and Trumpsters…believe in positive change…this is going to be hard and a very tough…and dirty fight…not for the faint hearted…

  97. above…
code…Donald will make a positive change for today and the future…he will fix the problems and we all press forward…

  98. I watched little Anderson Cooper–Mrs. Vanderbilt’s Precious Baby Boy ignore all the problems associated with illegal immigration, and the need for vigorous enforcement of the law– and all the little cocksucker wanted to know was whether he was prepared to give amnesty to the 11 million illegals–a number which he through out there four times, which is 1/3 of the actual number, especially those who have set down roots to cover up their illegal act.

This gave me new appreciation to what limited minds we are dealing with in big media. They have no ability whatsoever to think outside the box. They are shackled to a narrative handed down from their handlers in the upper east side of Manhattan, and woe betide the talking head who deviates from it one iota. And the purpose of that narrative? The sole purpose is to enhance the wealth and power of that upper east side set, at the expense of the American People.

  99. And their game is to play the American People off against each other based on race, etc. That way they obscure the real problem which is the fact that they are sitting on too much money and need for the good of their soul to pay a net worth tax to feel better about themselves.

  100. To borrow admin’s WWII bomber analogy, Trump is getting a lot of flak from everyone because he is right over the target and is causing significant damage to it.

  101. I just donated to donald. For 5 bucks you can win a dinner with him, airfare paid for.

I’ll let you all know what fun I have!

  102. Apparently, the black lives matter crew funded by Soros attacked and injured Trump supporters at a Trump rally in Minneapolis last weekend while the police stood idly by on orders from the office of the democrat mayor as reported by the officer and (predictably) denied by the mayor. Obviously the mayor and the thugs were in cahoots. The head of black lives matter lives in the mansion of a wealthy Soros confederate named Woods in Maryland. It is surprising to me that loyal Americans do not take it upon themselves to paint Woods mansion. Soros is actively promoting civil unrest.

    https://youtu.be/MKX49_sGrEU

Seeing the physical assault on Trump supporters by Soros surrogates, then the candidate Soros supports, i.e. Hillary attack those supporters calling them racists to inflame the base, and finally big media executives whom Soros has bought off–Moyers and Brokaw to name just two, accusing those supporters of stupidity, it is easy to understand why phone polling has become non predictive of anything. The silent majority will remain silent until November.

  103. The game Soros has played all over the world–in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Lebanon and elsewhere he is also playing here. It is the game of creative destruction to achieve an end state of crony capitalism and the destruction of civilizations. I have covered all of this before, in 2009, so there is no point in repeating it here, now. Except that now the perverse ambitions we identified long ago are now achieving their fruition.

  104. I’m sorry, if I’m a cop, that’s not going to happen.
Please don’t tell me about salary, etc…There are always other jobs, if he went on video, he could have done that prior to the event.

    There’s a job and there’s character.

  105. holdthemaccountable this is the alt-right-not what was posted in the L.A. Times newspaper:

“I call myself alt right because the conservative establishment right in this country does not represent my views, they are just as much to blame for the disaster taking place in America as the left, the alt right to me is fiscal responsibility, secure borders, enforcement of immigration laws, ending the PC culture, and promoting AMERICA FIRST (Not Sharia First)” he continued.

“If you come to this country legally, follow the laws, learn our language, and love the country, you are equal, no matter your color, or religion. Basically alt-right is to separate ourselves from the failing establishment right.”

This is the quotation from one of the big leaders of the alt-right. The media is not giving them a fair shake so what’s new.

  106. This alt right designation is pure bullshit.

That is their way of getting back at the faux right corporatists.

In the corporatists defy description as right, or left.

They are both, or either, depending on which can be useful to their business.

The ONLY distinction that matters anymore and explains what is occurring is:

    Globalist (=traitor) vs Nationalist (=patriot)

  107. I just tried to go to the Trump Campaign website and got stuck on the donation page. I could not get past it to get any information. That is a bad show.

  108. From Breitbart: “An Establishment Conservative’s Guide To The Alt-Right (It’s a very long article and this is just some of it)

The alternative right, more commonly known as the alt-right, is an amorphous movement. Some — mostly Establishment types — insist it’s little more than a vehicle for the worst dregs of human society: anti-Semites, white supremacists, and other members of the Stormfront set. They’re wrong.

Alt-righters describe establishment conservatives who care more about the free market than preserving western culture, and who are happy to endanger the latter with mass immigration where it serves the purposes of big business, as “cuckservatives.”

Halting, or drastically slowing, immigration is a major priority for the alt-right. While eschewing bigotry on a personal level, the movement is frightened by the prospect of demographic displacement represented by immigration.

The alt-right do not hold a utopian view of the human condition: just as they are inclined to prioritise the interests of their tribe, they recognise that other groups – Mexicans, African-Americans or Muslims – are likely to do the same. As communities become comprised of different peoples, the culture and politics of those communities become an expression of their constituent peoples.

You’ll often encounter doomsday rhetoric in alt-right online communities: that’s because many of them instinctively feel that once large enough and ethnically distinct enough groups are brought together, they will inevitably come to blows. In short, they doubt that full “integration” is ever possible. If it is, it won’t be successful in the “kumbaya” sense. Border walls are a much safer option.

The alt-right’s intellectuals would also argue that culture is inseparable from race. The alt-right believe that some degree of separation between peoples is necessary for a culture to be preserved. A Mosque next to an English street full of houses bearing the flag of St. George, according to alt-righters, is neither an English street nor a Muslim street — separation is necessary for distinctiveness.

Some alt-righters make a more subtle argument. They say that when different groups are brought together, the common culture starts to appeal to the lowest common denominator. Instead of mosques or English houses, you get atheism and stucco.

Ironically, it’s a position that has much in common with leftist opposition to so-called “cultural appropriation,” a similarity openly acknowledged by the alt-right.

  109. I appreciate all the responses. I guess somehow I wasn’t clear. My confusion is related to Trump suggesting that maybe he should let the long-time illegals stay here without citizenship. I was concerned about that because of how it would affect jobs for Americans and a new class of illegals when their new births would not get citizenship because the birthright citizenship was ended.

And to suggest that they can stay without being citizens but not allowing them to work, obviously they’d have to leave with no way to make money. So the suggestion they could stay would then amount to a trick.

I guess we just all have to wait to see what he really means lol

Thanks for the accurate definition. I provided the LATimes editorial figuring it had the worst possible twist.

And I’m considering referring to #Hillary2016 as #AltHillary08.

  115. Why do conservatives accept a term of disparagement which was connived by and conjured up by dimocrats/globalists to marginalize their voice and their impact on the political system, when all the people they seek to disparage are really doing is reasserting the first principles of the republic? Whenever they slide the rattlesnake into our pocket we should scream foul and gouge their eyes out. Why, why, why this passive acceptance of a term calculated to bury them. The only answer I can come of with is those who blandly and blindly accept this perverse change is nomenclature are either ignorant or corrupt. Every time a journalist sneaks that asp into a question, the immediate response should be I don’t agree with your question, and when their interrogator is thrown off the script and you find yourself staring into the eyes of a goat, as opposed to a peacock, I would encourage the interviewee to take that god sent opportunity to grap him by the nose and kick him in the ass, like Patton would do in a heartbeat.

  116. Look at it this way: the term alternative right assumes the existence of some other manifestation of what can be called the right? And what would that other manifestation be? Please don’t tell me it is the establishment, because if you attempt to apply that verbal slight of hand, I will call you a liar, because the establishment as it exists today is not committed to first principles at all, it is a devotee, practitioner and religious zealot for one thing and one thing alone: globalism. And globalism and Orwell go hand in glove.

  117. The most shocking aspect of Hillary’s short speech delayed for two hours for reason or reasons unknown was that magic moment where she did a Arthur Fonzerlli and jumped the shark. Putin, we learn, is the godfather of Trump and the alt right. This is ridiculous at so many levels. In the first place, the alt right as she calls them are ardent nationalists, and ardent nationalists are not inclined to take their marching orders from a foreign head of state. It is not in the nature of the beast. But Hillary, enconsed in the beast mode of the speech sees it all very clearly, meaning land where there is not land shades of Moby Dick. And yet that was all it took to send big media into a final rapture of how do we love thee let us count the ways, and why do we hate and despise Trump who stands between us and the caviar platter which we are feted to pig out on but for him. Yes, being a rich fat cat is a heavy cross to bear. It takes superior people like us to weather that storm, but weather it we do because like Caligula we aspire to be Roman gods.

  118. Too crazy not to mention
Obama to campaign for Hillary Clinton on September 13 in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will hit the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine in September, the Clinton campaign announced Friday.
Obama, according to the campaign, will stump for Clinton in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 13, while Biden will campaign for Clinton in Ohio on September 1.

Neither Clinton, Nor Kaine, Will Be At Either Obama Or Biden’s Event, making these both the president and vice president’s first solo campaign events of 2016…..

  119. The dinner contest winner is picked from entries between August 17 and Sept 30…. so we haven’t lost yet!

  120. Ralph Reed was on Fox today, I think, Fox Journal Editorial Report, and he said that Donald Trump is going to get upwards of 75% of the evangelical vote and that they are going to show up and vote for him…

I thought i heard him say that the percentage of evangelicals that will be voting is higher than the black, hispanic and gay vote put together…I could be wrong but I think I heard him say that (i was distracted by the microwave)

He then said with over 75% of the evangelical vote showing up for Donald there is no way Hillary is walking away with this election

He also said economy and jobs are still the key issues

It really looks bad when the two press conferences are juxtaposed like this.
    **********************************************************

    Tony,

no wonder she does not want to do any press conferences…she is a first class liar…

she probably dreads the question someone should ask:

Why did you and/or your lawyers feel it was necessary to use Bleachbit to destroy your emails if they only contained ‘yoga’ emails?

Bleach bit is the most extreme method you can take to destroy emails

    **************

How freaking suspicious is that? it is all so obvious how corrupt she really is and she just lies herself away…I cannot understand how we can turn over all the power of the executive branch to her…and Bill…again when unless you are blinded by “the first woman president credo” why….why would anyone want our full govt to be in her control…she is just going to continue on the way she has…the writing is on the wall…

    scary…

  122. again when unless you are blinded by “the first woman president credo” why

And they’re really not thinking past election day for that all-important “historic” checkmark of “first female president” – because if Hillary gets into office, all of her past and certain continuing corruption, lies, warmongering, selling out women’s safety and human rights in foreign countries for money, etc, will all be attached in the future to whatever woman next runs for office.

That’s all we’ll hear when the next woman runs – “there have been corrupt male presidents, but well-meaning ones, too. We had ONE female president, and she was more corrupt than the most corrupt male president ever!” “Women can’t handle the presidency, they sell out our country for money”, etc etc etc

Yes, her supporters don’t care HOW she does the job or how she taints the office or she ruins it for future female candidates – they just want that darn historic checkbox.

And really, they should know better, because the “historic” election of a half-black man has only hurt potential future black male presidents. On second thought, the other PUMAs now love Obama, so I guess intelligence has just flown out the window. Life is just fantasy now.

  123. lol foxy…. I’m not sure what evidence there is that these are world-wide Trump supporters, other than someone posted it with the Love Train song with Trump train lyrics substituted. There’s one American-looking man in some of the videos (but not most). All I can see is it’s a lot of clips of people around the world dancing. There are no visual Trump indications. No Trump signs or tshirts. Not even on the American-looking guy who is in some of the videos. But it’s fun to see all those happy world-wide people dancing lol

  124. I went to a funeral today not my own. It was a Catholic affair for a delightful woman who was a pillar of that small community. To my surprise, the priest told the congregation that ONLY Catholics could come up to the altar and partake of the ceremony of the Euchres–the blood (wine) and body (waffer) of Christ from the Last Supper. Being Episcopal, I was excluded. The priest you see was old school. Very. I rather suspect his grudge against us goes back to Henry VIII who was a much married man. At this point, it cannot be helped. But it does seem passing strange that at a time when the Catholic Church is losing members in the west, and hoping to make them up for it through massive illegal immigration under the current Pope, that this priest would renounce the idea of the church universal in favor of a more cultish orientation. It was, in that sense, apostasy. Particularly after he just finished reading the Sermon on the Mount which renounces provincialism. I made up for it at the wake however where the red wine flowed.

One the way home a spotted a car with a bumper sticker that read: “Bernie cannot be bought by billionaires”. This is, you see, Bernie country. And no billionaire can touch him, unless they have a $600,000 beach house they are looking to get rid of.

The other thing today, the friend of mine in the high genius category where standing along side her makes me feel like I am next to Mount Everest, who was for Hillary in 2008 and is now for Trump made a profound point when she said: people need to understand our entire way of life is under attack today, and most people do not understand that.

Our conversation turned to the blacks, and my admiration for Trump’s appeal to that community, to break the chains that bind them to a party that was the vehicle of slavery, segregation and has not done a damned thing for them since 1964 except keep them in the welfare state which is merely a different form of servitude. Her comment to me–and she knows them very well was they can be stubborn and they are suspicious given what they have had to deal with as a people. The best hope is that the church leaders, some of whom have embraced Trump and his message will be the determining factor.
