Now that you are relaxed after the shopping, the selling, the stores, the songs, the torn gift wrap, the opened boxes, the food, the dinner, the cards, the calls, the exhaustion, the satisfaction, the tears, the happiness, the sorrow, the children, the family, the friends, the snow, the heat, the tree, the lights… remember what happened 2015 years ago.
It’s an epic tale of wonder, horror, and the birth of a child and the West.
Imperial troops dispatched to kill a rumored new born king yet unborn of a kingdom yet to be determined. Astrologer/Kings hunched over their star charts and camels as celestial portents and a strange bright new light from the heavens hovers over the Davidian city of Bethlehem. An enraged monarch unable to locate with specificity the birth site orders the children from two and under executed. Rocky fields watched over by low born shepherds with their flocks of sheep are visited by heavenly messengers with news of the location of the child king whose kingdom is yet to come. Wise men with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, bow in awe alongside the shepherds stinking of their charges and their nights asleep under the stars. A flight through desert roads to safety by the young mother and father to save their child.
Modern science and Hollywood dream factories try to fabricate stories of wonders filled with hovercraft, gizmos, evil lords, young men and women coming of age, intergalactic battles with ships that sail the skies not the oceans, yet what happened 2015 years ago in desert lands, among tribes in servitude to an imperial regime, remains unmatched. That’s because it was not only a child that was born that night. A civilization was born too.
The birth of that boy king, became the birth certificate of the West. A Jewish boy, living in the Roman Empire which itself descended from the city of Troy and tales from the Homeric legends, everything that bursts forth in the warehouses we call museums all our theories and blueprints of architecture, our governance, our music, our art, it’s what we call the West. And it was all born in that little manger in that little city of David.
The Judaeo-Christian traditions and our notions of right and wrong, good and evil, everything that came before and since all wrapped up in swaddling clothes. The dates might not be exact, it might not have been in December, the Julian Calendars and the Gregorian timelines might have muddled things a bit, but yes, the birth certificate of the West and that little child are pretty much one and the same.
Update II: Clinton-Bush takes on a new meaning. Hillary is in tone and language a perfect mimic of Jeb Bush. “Trump is a bully” check. “That is not who we are” check. “Can’t insult your way to the presidency” check. All delivered in a low energy whine – just like Jeb. Bill Clinton said “Better to be strong and wrong than weak and right.” Ignore the wrong and right portion of the equation, who is strong and who is weak? Hillary, call Bill.
We’re informed, as a defense of Hillary and the bathroom business, that our last update was incorrect. We’re told that Hillary was also late to the previous debate under the same circumstances. That’s not a defense. That’s a condemnation. If this happened before, how come Hillary’s bathroom availability needs have not been tended to by her debate negotiators? Doesn’t Hillary have a private bathroom in her ready room? The debate facilities are negotiated with the hosts of the debates by the candidate staffs. Hillary’s staff did not get her a private bathroom? We think she does need a private bathroom. A private bathroom, not shared with opposition candidates or staff, is a reasonable request to be accommodated without question. A private bathroom is an entirely reasonable demand for all candidates. Republican candidates have had big fights, which made headlines, with debate hosts over their accommodations before debates. Hillary’s staff is so incompetent they did not bother to get her a private bathroom even after she allegedly encountered the same problem in a previous debate??? Color us confused.
We’re not the only ones confused. Trump is leading Hillary into a well crafted trap which we can see coming from a mile away and Hillary’s staff thinks this “War On Woman” bait is not a trap as they walk in with a smile. Oy gevalt! Below, we offer some more stocking stuffers on this Christmas Eve.
George Will regurgitates every Hillary/Jeb attack/insult against Trump that has previously failed to kabong The Donald and follows it up with another whiny lament:
It is possible Trump will not win any primary, and that by the middle of March our long national embarrassment will be over. But this avatar of unfettered government and executive authoritarianism has mesmerized a large portion of Republicans for six months. The larger portion should understand this:
One hundred and four years of history is in the balance. If Trump is the Republican nominee in 2016, there might not be a conservative party in 2020 either.
George Will must have missed that “conservative” Paul Ryan budget that just passed the Republican House and Senate which Nancy Pelosi said “gave away the store”. Intellectual George Will should call his party’s grass roots to get an understanding of reality. The dumb as a rock colleague of Will’s at the Washington Post, Jonathan Capehart, must have loosed his bow tie enough to get some blood into his brain because leftist kook Capehart kinda agrees with us:
Democrats should fear the depths of Donald Trump’s support
A word of caution to those Democrats, particularly those supporting Hillary Clinton, openly rooting for Donald Trump to win the Republican presidential nomination. Yes, his campaign has been six months of ugly, gasp-worthy rhetoric that should make the Republican Party a no-go zone for a majority of the American electorate on Election Day 2016. But folks like it. And that is reason to worry.
What if Michael Smerconish was right What if Trump’s numbers are really higher than the polls show because folks are lying to pollsters? What if a Trump vs. Clinton race isn’t a slam dunk for the latter as everyone thinks? Thanks to a study conducted by Kyle Dropp, co-founder and executive director of polling and data science at Morning Consult, we have the frightening answer. Smerconish WAS right! [snip]
The caution here is that Trump’s support is deeper than we want to admit. And if we’re really being honest, we know his support doesn’t just reside within the Republican Party. Thus, Trump’s “I really don’t give a damn” mien could prove dangerous to a Clinton campaign that prizes control.
The caution here is that Trump’s support is deeper than we want to admit. And if we’re really being honest, we know his support doesn’t just reside within the Republican Party. Thus, Trump’s “I really don’t give a damn” mien could prove dangerous to a Clinton campaign that prizes control.
Update: Some stocking stuffers for you pre Christmas Day. First the latest Trump fever, the “schlong” controversy. Oy vey! The Washington Post went all in etymologist for that controversy. Was Trump a woman hating sexist when he said Obama “schlonged” Hillary”? Turns out Trump has used the same word in the same context before:
“I watched a popular Republican woman [Jane Corwin] not only lose but get schlonged by a Democrat [Kathy Hochul] nobody ever heard of for the congressional seat, and that was because, simply, because of the Paul Ryan plan,” Trump said at the time.
A woman “schlonging” a woman? In 2011 NPR’s Neal Conan used the same exact word in the same election context too. “Schlonged” as used in this context means “fu*ked” not “penis”. So what is Trump up to? Trump is prepping the battlefield. Trump is just beginning to remind voters, particularly African-American voters that Obama hates Hillary and Hillary hates Obama. The goal is not necessarily to win votes for Trump but to keep votes away from Hillary.
That last is a lesson Hillary2016 does not get. Hillary2016 is simply not as quick nor as canny as Trump2016. That can be seen in the other outrage, the “bathroom break” um, crack, from Trump that is the other Big Media air sucker of the day. What many see as crude we see as battlefield preparation. You can be outraged all you want and complain all you want but take a look see at what Trump is up to with the bathroom crack and see the uselessness of the Hillary2016 response. What is Trump up to?
Trump said Hillary disappeared and he thought she “quit” when she came back late to the debate stage and did not explain her absence. Trump says he thought Hillary “quit” because most see Hillary just going through the motions of a campaign and Trump gives voice to that. Trump is also doing to Hillary what he did to Jeb Bush. For the past few months Trump has been repeating the message that Hillary does not have the “stamina” to be president. That’s a rerun attack of the successful anti-Jeb “no energy” tactic that effectively destroyed Jeb Bush. “No energy” becomes “no stamina” becomes “I thought she quit” bathroom crack. Hillary’s limpy retort, “We shouldn’t let anybody bully his way into the presidency because that is not who we are as Americans”, is eerily similar to Jeb Bush’s whine from the last debate “You can’t insult your way to the presidency.” Oh, really????
Fact is what happened at the debate was very odd. We’ve never seen a candidate missing from a major debate after a commercial break and then reemerge with zero explanation. Lesson for Hillary2016: don’t let something go unexplained that people are thinking about because Donald Trump will express the unexpressed thought of voters/viewers. Hillary could have come back to the stage and said something like “why are there never enough women bathrooms?” and millions of women would have understood. Hillary could have said “it takes us longer guys – we don’t just zip and split” to laughs of understanding. Instead there was silence and Trump filled the silence most memorably.
Trump is prepping the battlefield and Hillary2016 is so inept the only response is a silly response about sexism instead of realizing the danger Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Jindal, Perry, Graham refused to see until the Trump truck ran over them. This is a Trump threefer. One, Trump hits back against Hillary false attacks against him at the debate. Two, Trump gets to campaign against Cruz and the other Republicans by ignoring them and hitting Hillary instead. Three, Trump once again grabs all the news and suffocates his opposition. Bonus for Trump is to force Hillary to campaign on the stump where she is liable to make mistakes, not at staged events.
Beltway-insider publications Politico and The Hill are hiding House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan’s 2016’s disastrous report card, even days after the Dec. 18 passage of his $1.1-plus trillion 2016 spending-and-tax plan.
Ryan and his top aides “really gave away the store,” Democratic leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi declared Dec. 18. Her report-card phrase — “they really gave away the store” — doesn’t appear in Politico or TheHill, even by Dec. 22.
Trump will be able to insult his way to the presidency as long as his opposition is so incompetent they prove worthy of the insults.
Lindsey Graham said two smart things today. First, ‘I quit’ – he got out of the nomination race. Second Lindsey Graham said this:
“This is an election for the heart and soul of the Republican Party,” Graham said later on. “This is no longer about 2016. This is about who are we as a party, where do we want to go, and where do we take the country.”
In his farewell Graham tried to cheer himself up with excuses about why his departure was necessary. Graham came up with excuses which failed to bring up the the man who defeated him, trounced him: Donald J. Trump.
Graham’s excuses were “What’s happened here is sort of my lane of the party has collapsed” and “At the end of the day, I’m not going to be competitive in my state if I’m not competitive outside my state” as well as “I would be competitive in South Carolina, but I’ve got to show traction outside the state.” Garbage. Donald Trump crushed Graham in every poll taken in South Carolina. It’s not “what” it is a “who” that forced Lindsey Graham from the presidential race. This entire Graham collapse is a lesson for Hillary Clinton and Hillary2016.
Donald J. Trump squashed Lindsey because Donald Trump is destroying the Republican Party and reshaping it. Graham is incorrect to say 2016 is not the issue. But Graham is right when he said “This is about who are we as a party, where do we want to go, and where do we take the country.” What Lindsey Graham and Hillary Clinton don’t understand is that this 2016 presidential race is about where Donald Trump wants the country to go and where the parties, once the nominees are chosen, want to take the country.
We’ve explained that Donald Trump destroys the Republican Party because Barack Obama destroyed the Democratic Party and that has led to a reshuffled deck and new coalitions, new alliances. The result is that at this moment Donald Trump is winning his hostile takeover of the Republican Party and that increasingly likely successful hostile takeover has caused the power brokers in the Republican Party to do everything in their power to destroy Donald Trump and keep their control of the Republican Party.
The old Republican Party power brokers have failed, thus far, to stop Donald J. Trump for the very reason that Hillary2016 will likely fail to beat Trump2016. A Donald Trump hater explains a bit of what we wrote months ago:
My guess is that if you asked the Pajama Boys in Brooklyn who they want to face next year, the unanimous verdict would be: Trump. He’s down to Clinton by a full 6 points in early polling. He’s undisciplined. He’s a bully. He has no experience running campaign organizations or understanding of the mechanics of electioneering at any level, let alone the national level. He seems, on the face of things, to have a seriously limited ceiling on his support. If I were Clinton, I’d probably want to run against Trump, too.
Except for one thing: If Donald Trump is the nominee, then it means that the deck of American politics has been completely reshuffled-that the political landscape is nothing like what it was four years ago. It will mean that the old laws of politics have been suspended, or warped, or maybe even truly changed. And it will mean that Clinton, who is entirely a creature of the established political order, will be operating in this new world without either a flashlight or a map.
And if I were Clinton, I would not find this prospect all that appealing, either.
The speed with which prominent Republican officials and conservative spokesmen condemned Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States revealed the true stakes in the 2016 election. The future of the GOP as we know it is in question—not the party’s political future but its ideological one. Donald Trump’s candidacy is already intensifying party divisions. Nominating him would alter the character of the Republican Party in a fundamental way.
GOP voters understand this possibility. [snip]
Trump may not even need a majority of traditional Republican voters to win. His unusual candidacy could bring in voters new to the party or even to the political process. Whether Trump wins or loses a general election against Hillary Clinton is less important in this analysis than the effect his nomination would have on the composition and philosophy of the Republican Party. That effect would be profound.
Political parties are not static. They are born, they grow and change, they shrink and die. There is no Mosaic commandment stipulating that a party must hold to one platform over another, no natural law governing the ideology to which the party subscribes. A party is a reflection of its membership. And when the identities or character of that membership is altered, the party is too. The clearest sign that such a transformation has occurred is in the selection of a party’s nominee. [snip]
The Democratic Party was once the party of the white working class—of trade unionists, Catholics, Cold War hawks. [snip]
It’s possible we are at the beginning of another political recalibration based on national identity. [snip]
The tendency in Washington is not to take Donald Trump seriously. To describe him as a clown, as someone who will drop out, as someone whose beliefs are non-ideological. I believe that to dismiss him is a mistake. [snip]
So atypical is Donald Trump’s profile that it is impossible to say where the party will find itself when caucuses are held in Iowa on February 1. It is very possible, even likely, that the party will reject him and retain its identity as the party of Reagan and Bush. But the 2016 election has been, to say the least, unusual. And the crises of international order and domestic governance that give Trump strength are real.
Homegrown terrorism, demographic panic, racial tension, income stagnation, and Trump’s persona may catalyze a political realignment along the lines we have seen before in our politics and see currently in Europe’s. Have conservatives and Republicans thought through what would happen next? What choices we might have to make? Or are we too afraid to acknowledge the possibility that the movement and party to which we belong is no longer our own?
Remove that last question mark. Continetti wrote that article ten days ago before Lindsey Graham changed the question mark to an exclamation point. The Republican Party has already been changed by Donald Trump. Trump has already won that fight.
Trump has already changed the Republican Party. Mullah Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell the turtle still control the official levers of power in the Republican Party. But as can be seen in every debate and in every campaign appearance by every candidate, Donald Trump is imitated by every candidate and his positions have forced every candidate to at least try to pretend they are on the same track as Trump.
Lindsey Graham Says He Will Beat Trump’s Brains Out
Lindsey Graham had some violent words for Donald Trump Tuesday, saying, “come to South Carolina and I’ll beat his brains out.” [snip]
Graham: I won 56 percent of my primary against six opponents. [snip] Come to South Carolina and I’ll beat his brains out. I know my state. This is a silly season in politics. To say that you’re going to go to Iraq and Syria and take their oil and use it for our benefit as a way to destroy ISIL is insanely dangerous. you’re going to turn everybody into the Middle East against America if you do that, you won’t destroy ISIL. That will be his undoing.
That was Graham less than 4 months ago. Now Trump has bashed Graham’s brains out.
In Brooklyn there are a bunch of losers who think a victory over Donald Trump will be easy pickings. We refer these losers to Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Scott Walker, Rand Paul, Rick Santorum, George Pataki, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, etc. etc. and Jeb Bush.
Hillary2016 is very well positioned to beat the brains out of… Jeb Bush. If Jeb Bush is the nominee Hillary Clinton can go on an eight month vacation next year and still win. If Marco Rubio is the nominee, Hillary can take a seven month vacation. Ted Cruz as the nominee, Hillary’s vacation is cut down further but her victory is almost assured. But against Donald Trump?
Against Donald Trump the Brooklyn Hillary headquarters will resemble the Bastille on July 14, 1789. With a Trump nomination, forces will be unleashed that will have party princes hanging from lampposts on Court Street and along the Brooklyn Heights. Republican leaders will be politically guillotined on K Street in the District. As Lindsey Graham and Jeb Bush have learned, those who ignore the present will soon become the past.
[Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton is the worst Secretary of State ever. Hillary sees the power of this line of attack and she began her defense at the last debate. Before the end of the year we address this line of attack and make our assessment.]
Hillary Clinton should bring a small cask of rum and attach it to the collar on Saint Bernard of Vermont. Or maybe the ASPCA needs to be called in to put this mad dog… in a kennel.
Tonight mad dog Bernie Sanders will bring his rape fantasies to ABC. Not having said anything about how the Democratic National Committee fixed the election in 2008 for Barack Obama tonight Bernie Sanders whines about how the race is fixed for Hillary2016.
Why Bernie is upset is a mystery. Bernie should be happy instead of upset. This debate will be in Manchester, New Hampshire. That’s Bernie Sanders territory as he is a neighbor Senator. In 2008 the Hillary Clinton campaign foolishly did not utter a complaint when all the debates were held with Obama friendly audiences in Obama friendly states with Obama biased tingly Big Media “personalities” in charge. So clueless was the Hillary Clinton 2008 campaign that not a word was said when there were no debates in Hillary friendly states such as New York or in front of Hillary friendly audiences such as women, nor focused on Hillary friendly topics.
No. In 2008 there were no debates in New York nor any debates to discuss issues of particular relevance to women, nor in regions of the country wherein Hillary won 40 points over Obama. The clueless Hillary 2008 campaign said not a word at such thumb on the scales help to Obama from the DNC. Hillary2016 did not learn anything from 2008 and does not protest that the debates are not being held in states such as South Carolina where Hillary holds commanding leads. But Bernie? Oh, Bernie is so very upset.
Yeah, Bernie Sanders is upset. His campaign stole campaign information due to the incompetence of the DNC (or it could have been an elaborate trap by the Hillary guy who runs the DNC data operation say the Bernie Barkers) and Bernie has the chutzpah to complain!
Hey Bernie, you’re barky.
What is even more sad, nay, pathetic, is that Bernie Sanders is so incensed about his campaign theft. Yeah, that’s the big issue everyone is talking about before this Dum #DemDebate.
ISIS is on the march. People are getting killed in the United States by these Muslim monsters. But Bernie is only fired up because his campaign is punished for being a bunch of thieves. Chutzpah!
Then there is Baltimore O’Malley. What a joke this penised person is. His legacy in Maryland and Baltimore in particular, is a cauldron of race riots and a mistrial in what was supposed to be the easiest case against the cops who did their job and Baltimore O’Malley does not have the basic decency to shoot himself in the head right after he gets out of this presidential race.
Update: The debate is on tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET. And yes, we are blockheads. The debate is on ABC not NBC. We heard Brent Bozell discuss NBC and the debate and we assumed the debate was on NBC, though we should have known better after the CNBC debate. Still, it is difficult to find information about this debate and very little interest in it – other than from the Bernie burn-outs.
We’ll cover the debate as usual, in the comments, in a new post.
Like to hunt? Put your hunt hat on and join us. Like to laugh? Some of this might make you cry. It’s Friday and in the spirit of Donald Trump we’re going to do our best to Make America Fun Again.
Hunt hat on? Help us hunt. What are we hunting? We’re hunting for the Saturday debate. But we can’t find any tracks for Saturday nights debate.
We want to waste our Saturday night with full on coverage of the debate starring Hillary Clinton and assorted penised persons from Baltimore and Vermont. But we can’t find it. How can we cover it when we can’t find it? Help!!!!!!!!!!
We know the Saturday night debate is on Saturday night. The debate host is NBC. Problem is NBC will not air the debate. Get our problem? There’s an NBC hosted debate but it won’t air on NBC. Easy answer: it’s on MSNBC, the sewer sister station for NBC. Problem: the Saturday night debate is not on MSNBC either. MSNBC will feature it’s usual weekend lineup of shows focused on men in prison. No debate. So NBC hosts a debate but will not air the debate and MSNBC is busy with reruns of a show few watch when it first airs. Where can we watch the fu*king debate?????
We hear it’s on Youtube. Yeah. Youtube!!! We don’t kid. We don’t jest. Youtube!!! Youtube!!!! We might be the only viewers. Whoever thought of holding a debate on the Saturday night before Christmas and only airing it on Youtube deserves a “Make America Fun Again” prize. Why waste your time at home on a Saturday night when you can dance the night away?
Hardest hit in his staying alive quest is Saint Bernard of Vermont. He thinks the stealth debate schedule is designed to help Hillary2016. Ordinarily we would be on the side of those who want an open debate process. But after all the corruption and cheating by the DNC in 2008 designed to help Barack Obama we are under no illusion that the DNC is anything but corrupt and the latest thumb on the scales is standard operating procedure from that kook left crap house. In either case, Bernie has bigger worries:
Bernie Sanders Campaign Accessed Confidential Clinton Data
In response, the DNC has suspended the Sanders campaign from the party’s voter file — a move that could cripple the senator just weeks before the start of the primary. The Sanders campaign staffer who accessed the data has been fired.
The Democratic National Committee has suspended Bernie Sanders’ access to the party’s 50-state voter file in response to a software glitch that allowed the Sanders campaign to access Hillary Clinton’s internal voter data.
The DNC move effectively freezes Sanders’ field organizing program six weeks from the first caucuses and primaries. [snip]
The incident could pose a devastating setback for Sanders so close to the start of the Democratic primary: Until access is restored to the NGP VAN, the candidate’s organizers will have to perform the basic functions of the field program — phone banks, voter contact, visibility — without an electronic system centralizing their efforts.
We’re shedding crocodile tears for Bernie. The breach was the fault of the vendor not the Sanders’ staffer who took advantage of the open door. But now the back of the Bern has been broken. We want to help Bernie. So here’s our suggestion: Hey Bernie why don’t you try to grab some attention by denouncing Barack Obama and Big Media?
If you read The New York Times‘ story on President Barack Obama‘s private meeting with news columnists Friday morning, you may have caught one quote that made the President look particularly bad:
In his meeting with the columnists, Mr. Obama indicated that he did not see enough cable television to fully appreciate the anxiety after the attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, and made clear that he plans to step up his public arguments.
The President of the United States failed to understand that Americans were anxious after two major terrorist attacks in Western cities because he doesn’t watch TV? It’s an admission that opponents are sure to use to make the president seem out-of-touch at best, and unconcerned about a serious threat at worst.
Many politicos and journalists immediately saw the newsworthiness of the statement, especially after CNN’s Brian Stelter drew attention to it. [snip]
But just as the quote was beginning to make the rounds, it disappeared entirely from the the Times piece, without a correction or any indication that the piece had been updated.
Instead, the paragraph in question has been replaced with the following, which doesn’t appear to have any connection to the original paraphrase:
Saint Bernard could Make America Fun Again and get some earned media for himself with a strong denunciation of the New York Times and out of touch Barack. But Saint Bernard prefers to howl in pain. Screw him.
For real laughs, you always can rely on the GOP establishment. Paul Ryan and the GOP House and Senate have a great Christmas laugh at the expense of the American people who are in open revolt against their “leadership”. Breaking: Omnibus passes House 316-113; Update: Senate approves, 65-33. They’re doing everything to elect Trump:
It doesn’t take much leadership to push through a bill that the opposition supports and that Obama wants to sign. John Boehner could have done that. The huge expansion of H-2B visas alone should have killed this bill, especially with millions of American workers still sidelined from the Great Recession. Did anyone in Congress bother to look at the workforce participation rate lately, which is still at a 38-year low? For that matter, did any of our elected representatives think that maybe it’s a bad time to massively expand visa programs for other reasons — say, what happened in San Bernardino?
That’s a downer sure to bring tears. We have to turn to Donald Trump to Make America Fun Again. And we have to admit there is no one like The Donald to bring a smile to our faces these days.
Just this past week, Donald J. Trump made us cackle like a goose laying an egg, twice.
The first time was the Trump medical report. Early this month, Big Media was trashing Donald Trump for something Trump said (which was clearly designed to provoke Big Media into a trap). The worst journolister this election cycle is Ben Schreckinger at Politico. Schreckinger is not only a yellow journolister but an idiot as well. This is what Ben Schreckinger wrote on December 3 of this month:
Trump relents after withholding medical records
Facing questions about his age, diet and lack of workout regimen, the billionaire businessman now pledges to release his health records within two weeks.
Donald Trump says he is in good health, but voters up to now have had to take his word for it.
Trump once said that all presidential candidates should release their medical records. But so far in the 2016 race, he had declined to release his, and a campaign spokeswoman had not responded to multiple requests for comment about the candidate’s health records stretching back to October.
On Thursday, three hours after this article was published, the billionaire businessman relented, tweeting that he’ll release his records within the next two weeks. “As a presidential candidate, I have instructed my long-time doctor to issue, within two weeks, a full medical report-it will show perfection,” Trump said in the tweet.
Idiot Ben Schreckinger writes articles devoted to silly attacks against Donald Trump. This health report article was particularly stupid. It’s a long article which trashes Trump’s diet and lack of exercise, even though Trump appears highly energetic and full of vim and vigor. Then Ben Schreckinger lauded himself because Donald Trump collapsed and caved to Ben’s demands for medical records.
What a stupid little baiter Ben Schreckinger is. Trump put cheese on a trap. Ben chewed on the trap. Ben says “what a bright boy I am.” Ben Schreckinger got Trumped and Trump made America fun again. Trump’s collapse and cave on his medical records was conceived and executed as a well crafted trap from the first. Then Trump released his medical report which Makes America Fun Again:
Washington (CNN)Donald Trump on Monday released a letter from his physician stating that the 69-year-old Republican presidential candidate’s latest medical examination “showed only positive results.”
Trump’s physician of 25 years, Dr. Harold Bornstein, said Trump “has had no significant medical problems” and called the candidate’s blood pressure and lab results “astonishingly excellent” in a signed statement Trump released publicly on Monday.
“If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency,” Bornstein, an internal medicine and gastroenterology specialist who works at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, wrote in the letter dated December 4.
Trump declared he would not release his medical records. Big Media went nuts. Donald Trump released, in superlatives, his medical records which became one of the most talked about medical records released since Jimmy Carter discussed his hemorrhoids. Trump made America fun again. Jimmy Kimmel noted the fun:
It was hilarious. The Trump Popeye muscle flexing then the doctor’s photo. Hysterical. Most of the comments from Big Media tried to present the episode as harmful to Trump. We laughed. America was fun again.
Watch Jimmy Kimmel Read a Donald Trump Children’s ‘Book’ to Trump [snip]
Kimmel and company drew heavily on Dr. Seuss with a story following a cartoon Trump teaching two children lessons about winning and losing, at least in a capitalistic sense.
“Winners aren’t losers. They’re winners—like me!” the book opens. “A loser’s a loser. Which one will you be?”
As Kimmel reads the book, Trump cracks up with laughter repeatedly and appears to be at a rare loss for words.
The cartoon Trump introduces the kids to a dog who isn’t good at deal making and a bear who isn’t too successful. In fact, he “must feel like a loser, valet-ing that 2006 PT Cruiser!”
The appearance on the popular late night talk show comes as Trump continues to lead the polls among the GOP candidates for president.
Winners aren’t losers. And a loser brings our second Make America Fun Again Trump moment of the week as we watch Trump make faces that crack us up:
Off the edge. Winners aren’t losers. Losers can’t laugh. Let’s Make America Fun Again.
It’s over for Trump. Unless Donald J. Trump vomits on one of his opponents or pulls down his own pants and moons the audience or even swings his penis in front of the TV cameras – it’s over for Trump and he has won this primary election cycle To make matters more stark, we’re not even sure if doing the aforementioned would stop the Trump triumph.
But what about Cruz? Irrelevant. Cruz is just the latest Big Media catnip.
Tonight’s GOP debate (which can be seen on CNN at 8:30 p.m. ET) is about terror. Tonight’s GOP debate is not only about Islamic Terror. Tonight’s GOP debate is about the establishment terror inspired by Donald J. Trump.
Consider, last week we were shocked, truly shocked, that anyone thought Donald J. Trump would be in any way hurt by his proposed temporary ban on Muslims coming to this country. But as shocked as we were, it cannot be denied that the establishment of both political parties and Big Media believed, truly believed deep in their corrupt bones that Donald J. Trump had given them the means to destroy him.
The establishment of both political parties and Big Media set up Trump as a free fire zone. They threw everything at Trump. Everyone attacked Trump. Then the smoke cleared and the damage assessed.
After the nuclear attacks on Donald J. Trump, like in one of those alien invasion movies when the aliens with their protective shields withstand nuclear bombardment unscathed, Donald J Trump not only survived the united establishment attacks – Trump thrived.
That’s when the establishment shook in terror. They threw everything at Trump. But he absorbed the energy of the attacks and grew stronger. It was pure science fiction into political fiction come true.
The attacks nuked Trump. Then the polls came out. That’s when the nuclear attacks against Donald J. Trump stopped and the establishment gasped in horror to see they had only destroyed themselves.
Not only had Trump survived, Trump thrived. The South Carolina poll pealed the death of the establishment. In that South Carolina poll Trump surged eight points, to 35%, after his Muslim temporary ban remarks to a 20 point lead over his closest rival. The establishment shook in terror and horror. The attacks stopped momentarily to bury the dead.
Then in quick succession more polls rang the death of the establishment and the Trump triumph. The Monmouth poll sealed the deal with Trump at 41%, breaking all his supposed “ceilings”. The Washington Post/ABC poll followed with Trump at 38%.
In face of criticism, Trump surges to his biggest lead over the GOP field
Following his proposal to temporarily bar Muslims from entering the country, Donald Trump has increased his lead in the Republican primary to its largest margin yet, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
The results are the latest sign that Trump’s outspoken comments on immigration and terrorism continue to find an audience among rank-and-file Republicans in spite of sharp condemnation from Democrats, GOP leaders, some of Trump’s rivals and a chorus of world leaders.
The survey puts Trump’s support at 38 percent among registered Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, six points higher than in October and November. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, who also is running an anti-establishment campaign, has surged into second place with 15 percent, effectively doubling his support since last month.
Cruz at 15% and Trump at 38%. Big Media wants to turn this into a Cruz “surge”. Cruz will go the way of Carly Fiorina, Bobby Jindal, Scott Walker, and the rest who thought they could nuke Trump and win either Iowa or some state or nationally or something only to hit the brick Trump wall.
So dominant is Hillary Clinton’s polling in the presidential primaries, notes the press critic Howard Kurtz, that the media have essentially stopped paying attention to the Democratic race at all. [snip]
According to the two latest national polls, conducted as the furor over Trump’s call for a temporary moratorium on Muslim migration reached a fever pitch, the real estate magnate leads the Republican field by either 23 or 27 points. Tuesday’s Washington Post/ABC News poll has Trump with more than double the support of the second place finisher, Ted Cruz. Indeed, Trump’s lead over his primary opponents is larger than both Ronald Reagan’s was in the 1980 race, and George H. W Bush’s was in the 1988 contest.
The latest national polls of the Democrats, meanwhile, show Secretary Clinton leading Bernie Sanders by a mere 20 or 19 points. And her support appears to be plateauing, while Trump’s numbers are surging. All of which is to say, on a national level, Trump is clearly in a stronger position than Clinton is.
Yup, it’s over for Trump. It’s December 15. December 15 is the day:
Jeb Bush reiterated his view that Trump will soon fade in the race, saying that by the time of the next Republican debate on December 15, “Trump will be in decline.”
Tonight is the last GOP debate of the year and we’re halfway through all the debates scheduled through next year. Tonight is last and half.
At the “last and half” GOP debate one thing is clear: It’s over for Trump. Victory approaches.
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump is the overwhelming leader in the Georgia primary, according to a poll released Friday.
The Landmark/Rosetta Stone poll, first reported by Channel 2 News in Atlanta, shows the real estate mogul with 43.1 percent support in the Peach State, distantly followed by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), with 16.2 percent.
A New England police union voted to endorse Donald Trump Thursday evening, marking the Republican presidential front-runner’s first major endorsement in the early voting state of New Hampshire.
Trump announced his newfound support shortly after members of the New England Police Benevolent Association’s executive board members emerged from a meeting where they discussed the leading GOP candidate.
According to Jerry Flynn, executive director of the union, the benevolent association boast a membership of nearly 5,000 law enforcement and corrections officers from an estimated 200 precincts.
Republican officials and leading figures in the party’s establishment are preparing for the possibility of a brokered convention as businessman Donald Trump continues to sit atop the polls in the GOP presidential race.
More than 20 of them convened Monday near the Capitol for a dinner held by Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, and the prospect of Trump nearing next year’s nominating convention in Cleveland with a significant number of delegates dominated the discussion, according to five people familiar with the meeting.
Weighing in on that scenario as Priebus and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) listened, several longtime Republican power brokers argued that if the controversial billionaire storms through the primaries, the party’s establishment must lay the groundwork for a floor fight in which the GOP’s mainstream wing could coalesce around an alternative, the people said.
The development represents a major shift for veteran Republican strategists, who until this month had spoken of a brokered convention only in the most hypothetical terms — and had tried to encourage a drama-free nomination by limiting debates and setting an earlier convention date.
Now, those same leaders see a floor fight as a real possibility. And so does Trump, who said in an interview last week that he, too, is preparing.
But that sun climate changes the intruding suckers double quick time. Those that think they can block the Summer of Trump from heating things up – better think again. This isn’t 2008 when Hillary Clinton refused to fight as the nomination was gifted to Barack Obama. Donald Trump Summer will scorch. If the GOP establishment tries to block Trump from the nomination and gift the nomination to Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio the nomination won’t be worth dog sh#t under a shoe in August.
The wispy Summer of Trump clouds try to block the sun but they are soon burned away. Call the doctor:
Ben Carson blasts RNC, threatens to leave Republican Party
‘I will not sit by and watch a theft,’ he says.
Ben Carson on Friday blasted the Republican National Committee following a Washington Post report that nearly two-dozen establishment party figures were prepping for a potential brokered convention as Donald Trump continues to lead most polls. [snip]
“If the leaders of the Republican Party want to destroy the party, they should continue to hold meetings like the one described in the Washington Post this morning,” Carson said in a statement released by his campaign. [snip]
The retired neurosurgeon said that next summer’s Cleveland convention could be the last Republican National Convention if leaders try to manipulate it.
“I am prepared to lose fair and square, as I am sure is Donald,” Carson said. “But I will not sit by and watch a theft. I intend on being the nominee. If I am not, the winner will have my support. If the winner isn’t our nominee then we have a massive problem.”
In Summer of Trump time, the GOP establishment plots and schemes melt away like ice cream cones in August heat. That’s ’cause the people – are revolting:
And as you know, the National Security Council is chiefly tasked with providing Public Relations cover for failing, weak presidents. Right?
A source told Jack Murphy of SOFREP that the FBI instantly believed the shooting, which left 14 dead, to be a clear act of terrorism. The White House, however, didn’t feel the same way and quickly moved in to squash the terror classification.
This source added that as soon as the shooting took place, Obama convened a meeting with the National Security Council and the heads of other federal enforcement agencies to discuss a public relations strategy.
A while back we discussed that because Barack Obama destroyed the Democratic Party and replaced it with his cult of “the ascendant” the result is that many former Democrats, independents, and the white working class have fled into the not-so-loving arms of the Republican Party.
Also as we discussed, Donald Trump has walked away with the Clinton coalition and that coalition boosted Donald Trump to the top. The Wall Street Journal recently confirmed our analysis of Trump’s white working class coalition. The GOP ancien régime now fights back to politically assassinate Donald J. Trump and drive the hordes of the unclean back from the power they have seized.
Already we see the primary calendar re-fixed and Republican Party officials openly at war against front-runner Donald J. Trump.
Recall, we wrote the primary calendar and the entire process was fixed by the GOP establishment to give the nomination to Jeb Bush. Few debates were intended to minimize the possibility of a non-Jeb candidate using the debates to propel himself/herself. The money advantage would also go to JeBush. The organizational apparatus of the party would go to JeBush. The endorsements of Republican elected officials would go to JeBush. Florida would be the first winner-take-all primary election which JeBush was supposed to win and that electoral victory would propel him to the nomination no matter what happened in states such as Iowa and New Hampshire. In addition, many many candidates from many states would revive the mostly gone “favorite son” strategy whereby popular state officials ran for president in order to go to the convention with votes to trade in exchange for the nomination.
That fix for JeBush did not work as intended once Trump got into the race. The fix was supposed to assure JeBush the nomination but instead the fix worked on behalf of Donald J. Trump. The money advantage went to Trump. The many “favorite son” candidates divide the establishment candidates into a greasy smudge contrasted to the glittering jewel called Trump. The calendar with few debates provides Trump with enough of a center stage setting that exalts the ratings star and reduces the non-Trumps into a buzz of nighttime crickets in a dark field rubbing their legs together for mates that do not appear. Winner-take-all Florida lauds Trump. The early states hail Trump. The national polls swoon for Trump. The establishment endorsements supposed to elevate JeBush instead give Trump the shiny “change candidate” status in a “change” election. So now the fix gets fixed.
In a series of tweets and statements on Monday evening, the New Hampshire, Iowa and South Carolina Republican Party chairmen said they disagreed with Trump’s stunning call for the U.S. to ban Muslim visitors or immigrants. The chairmen — who represent the first three states to vote in the GOP presidential primary — don’t officially endorse candidates, but their thoughts behind the scenes can send messages to activists who look to them for guidance.
Until this new debate was announced, there were no GOP debates scheduled between next Tuesday’s CNN debate and the Jan. 28 Fox News debate. These will be the last debates before the Feb. 1 Iowa caucus.
This is a risky move by the RNC. They are essentially now betting that it’s better to try and take Trump down than worry he’ll feel he’s been treated unfairly and run as an independent. [snip]
So far the RNC’s efforts to fight the last war by shortening the primary season and limiting debates (until they expanded them) have led to Trump. I’m not sure why they or anyone should think they suddenly have the right answer (from their perspective). But the fact that they are changing the rules in the middle of the game is telling.
Another top campaign staffer, speaking on the condition of anonymity, accused the RNC of pandering to the establishment.
“My opinion is that this is panic in reaction to the unintended consequences of their decision to try and narrow the debates to begin with,” he said.
“When they reduced the number of debates at the time, the thought was there would be an establishment leader. But now that the election’s been turned on its head, with [Donald] Trump and [Ted] Cruz leading, now the establishment is panicking,” he added.
Here at Big Pink we recall the Rules and By-laws Committee where the election was stolen. Now it is the Republican Party out to steal the election DNC style. To hell with the voters. The people are revolting. The corrupt ancien régime will not surrender power to the people.
The Post’s View
It’s time for Republicans to renounce Donald Trump’s candidacy
By Editorial Board
MOST CANDIDATES for the Republican presidential nomination, with an understanding of constitutional, democratic and social norms that Donald J. Trump utterly lacks, have denounced his outrageous call for a “total and complete shutdown” on Muslims entering the United States.
It is heartening that Mr. Trump’s opponents are finally condemning him in terms they would generally reserve for Democrats, but it also raises a critical question: If the GOP front-runner’s pronouncements are as lunatic and offensive as his rivals say — and they are — isn’t it incumbent on them to make clear they would oppose him if he were the party’s nominee?
The prospect of an open Republican split may send tremors down the spines of party strategists. They naturally fear an internecine war, a fractured party and maybe an independent Trump candidacy. But even those outcomes would cause less damage to their party and to the nation than uniting behind a candidate whose policies and rhetoric are morally, legally and pragmatically unconscionable — as they have now recognized.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said Mr. Trump’s “habit of making offensive and outlandish statements will not bring us together.” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie blasted Mr. Trump’s call for excluding Muslims as “ridiculous.” Former Florida governor Jeb Bush called the idea “unhinged.” House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R-Wisc.) said Mr. Trump’s proposal “is not what this party stands for. And more importantly, it’s not what this country stands for.”
How can any of these men now contemplate endorsing the object of their obloquy?
Until now, party leaders and primary rivals have mostly dodged this question by dismissing Mr. Trump’s chances of winning the nomination. That’s no longer viable. Having stood atop the field in the polls for months, and lately having widened his considerable lead, Mr. Trump and his candidacy can no longer be laughed off as a publicity stunt. For responsible Republicans, the season of denial must end. [snip]
As Mr. Trump’s fellow Republican candidates now acknowledge, there is a real-world cost to a campaign that gains traction by spewing hatred, bigotry and rage. Criticizing Mr. Trump is no longer sufficient. It is time to say clearly he is anathema to the Republican Party, and to the nation.
The leftist totalitarian Washington Post demands Trump be destroyed, voters be damned. The Republican Party apparatus conspires to destroy Donald J. Trump. Voters be damned.
Too bad Donald J. Trump is such a shrinking violet, such a tiny little mouse, such a little coward, such a sniveling dolt, such a quiet, demure man, so totally incapable of a nuclear strike against his enemies and the enemies of freedom and that great American value free speech. Too bad Donald Trump is incapable of rousing a great army of voters to rival the Grand Army of the Republic – prepared to wage war on his behalf, on behalf of America and to fight to Make America Great Again.
Too bad Donald J. Trump is not a billionaire with great communications skills and millions of social media followers willing to follow him in battle against the totalitarian establishment that hates the people and only wants to extract taxes and fees from the governed. Too bad Donald Trump is unaware of the plots and conspiracies prepared by the establishment against him. Too bad Donald J. Trump is not a fighter and a proven winner who wants to Make America Great Again.
Can you imagine if Donald J. Trump was any of those things? A fighter. A winner. A communicator. Fearless. Rich. A strategist. A tactician. An unparalleled counter-puncher. An avenging angel. A powerful voice. A proven executive. A businessman with many connections and an accomplished family willing to help him. A builder of more than just buildings. What fun we could have.
Loser Lindsey Lohan Graham declared Trump “downright dangerous” and suggested “Tell Donald Trump to go to hell.” Jeb Bush roused his energy level sufficiently to say Trump is “unhinged”. Marco Rubio attacked Trump’s “offensive and outlandish statements”. These dolts pay political consultants for advice that results in this???
Donald Trump just trumped all the Republican candidates for President. [snip]
And the responses all amounted to “we must let muslims enter our country,” which sounds a whole lot like “we must allow all Mexicans in our country,” which everyone knows is blatantly untrue on both counts. [snip]
So, to put it another way, the day after the President failed to reassure a scared public following the second worst terrorist attack since 9/11 on domestic soil, Donald Trump not only got himself to the right of all the other candidates, but also got every single one of them save for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to align themselves with Barack Obama.
Trump reads the post-San Bernadino zeitgeist correctly. After the Obama drivel from Sunday night Trump exudes leadership and common sense. Hey, Chipotle has a food poisoning problem and the store shuts down until the problem is identified and resolved. That’s what Trump is saying. Stop all Muslim immigration to the U.S. until we can all figure out what to do about the possibility of terrorists coming in to kill or even home grown Muslims going jihad nuts.
But is Trump’s proposal unconstitutional? During the Cold War travel to and from entire countries was banned and Americans had a lot of explaining to do before being let back in. The Chinese Exclusion Act wasn’t unconstitutional. Would such a temporary ban violate the First Amendment and the “no religious test” provision? Certainly not for non-Americans. As for Americans that go to Syria (and similar places) then want to come back – um, explanations and the thorough investigations of those explanations could take a long long long time.
As to the religious test as unconstitutional that does not appear rational if you have an entire class of persons from one particular religion that want to overthrow the government. That’s the problem with political Islam. An entire country, a theocracy, that demands “Death to America” and we’re told travel to and from there cannot be banned? An entire region of “Death to America” can’t be banned? That’s crazy. The First Amendment is not a suicide clause.
Of course to remove all questions of unconstitutionality, we could just temporarily stop all immigration – legal and illegal – and that solution is just one suicide vest away from public approval.
Hillary Clinton is mumbling to herself today and Hillary2016 has gone dark.
Last night Barack Obama assaulted the nation with one of the most atrocious “speeches” ever delivered to homo sapiens. Barking dogs in the night are more eloquent and screechy cats with tails caught under a rocker more pleasant to listen to than what we humans endured last night from that miserable creep called Barack Obama. From Hillary Clinton silence.
We advised Hillary Clinton way back to run in 2016 as the CHANGE candidate. Instead of our forward looking to 2016 advice, Hillary Clinton decided to run as the third Obama term so afraid is she of the kook left that now controls the Obama Dimocrats. Now the chickens of that decision come home to roost so Hillary Clinton takes refuge in silence.
Silence is about the only friend Hillary Clinton has. Barack Obama is a disaster for America and every day until November 2016 the disaster will be more and more evident. ObamaCare does not work and the failures increase exponentially every day until November 2016. The worldwide economy is failing. The American economy will likely (66% probability) go into recession in 2016 says Citibank. And Hillary Clinton thinks Americans have not suffered enough so she will be the Obama third term.
Silence is about the only tactic left for Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama carpet bombed her and Hillary2016 last night. So Hillary stays quiet as a mouse, mumbling to herself, hoping the big cats won’t notice.
The big cats on CNN noticed how bad the Obama projectile vomiting last night was.
ISIS had a good laugh at the expense of American lives and principles. Barack Obama had a good laugh at the expense of Hillary2016 last night. Hillary Clinton got a good beating last night delivered by Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton embraced the Obama third term strategy and now Hillary Clinton will have to live with the consequences.
A new report stands in stark contrast to earlier White House assurances that ISIS had been ‘contained.’
Obama’s speech last night was a disaster both in terms of the treachery, as Obama continues to do everything he can to help Muslim terrorists, but also in it’s delivery. For Hillary Clinton the consequences are deadly.
Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama’s Oval Office address to the country Sunday did little to impress one of his loudest critics in the race to replace him. [snip]
GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump, who had promised to live-tweet the speech, came to the quick conclusion, “We need a new President – FAST!”
The real estate mogul had little else to say other than, “Is that all there is?” [snip]
Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley have yet to comment on the President’s remarks.
From Hillary Clinton last night and today, there has been silence on the Obama speech. All the Republican candidates spoke out against Obama’s speech. From Hillary Clinton there was the silence of the tomb.
“We’re not winning, but it’s too soon to say that we are doing everything we need to do,” Clinton said. “And I’ve outlined very clearly we have to fight them in the air, we have to fight them on ground, and we have to fight on the Internet. And we have to do everything we can with our friends and partners around the world to protect ourselves.”
“I think …that’s what we’ll hear from the president, an intensification of the existing strategy, and I think there’s some additional steps we have to take.”
Actually, that was just blather from Hillary Clinton as she crossed her fingers and HOPEd Barack Obama would start “intensification” and take strong “additional steps” against ISIS. Hillary’s foolish hopes were dashed. That blather from Hillary was better than the nonsense crap that came from her shortly after she made those remarks:
Clinton again rejected the use of the term “radical Islam” arguing “that sounds like we are declaring war against a religion … I don’t want to do that because, number one, it doesn’t do justice to the vast numbers of Muslims in our own country and around the world who are peaceful people.” She said the term also “helps to create this clash of civilizations that is actually a recruiting tool for ISIS and other radical jihadists who use this as a way of saying we’re in a war against the West. You must join us. If you are a Muslim, you must join us.”
Donald Trump immediately attacked Clinton, saying on Twitter that she was “afraid” to use that language.
On Remember Pearl Harbor Day it is galling to hear such nonsense from anyone let alone Hillary Clinton who knows better but won’t tell the truth about Barack Obama. We all know, as Americans did back then, that not all Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and not all Japanese supported the imperialist aims of the war party in Japan that ruled the country then. We all know that not all Americans supported the war effort at home, nor did all Americans vote for and support Franklin Roosevelt. But to make fine distinctions would have been stupid then as they are now, and Hillary Clinton knows better but continues to pretend she is stupid as she take refuge in silence.
“This is the problem with the president and with Secretary Clinton, who provide leadership by euphemism. They won’t say radical Islamic jihadists,” Christie said on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”
“Now, when you say radical Islamic jihadists, they understand, the rest of the Muslim community understands, the folks who are peaceful, and who attend mosques in a peaceful way, work in our country, raise their families, pay their taxes, they know they’re not radical Islamic jihadists,” he said. “That’s why we need to use the words, because it differentiates them from the peaceful, law-abiding American Muslims who play by the rules and raise their families and don’t want to see this kind of conduct going on.”
Some Japanese did not support imperialist Japan war aims just as some Germans did not support the Third Reich, but “Qui tacet consentire” – silence gives consent.
Qui tacet consentire. Silence gives consent. Hillary Clinton’s silence helps Barack Obama but it dooms Hillary2016.
On Pearl Harbor Day, silence is not golden. Silence gives consent.
Barack Obama ignores the Muslim aspect of the death machine. Barack Obama tried to turn the Muslim killing spree into a gun control issue. At this point it cannot be denied that all of Barack Obama’s “stupidity” works in only one direction. Like a cashier who’s every “mistake” shortchanges the customer Barack Obama’s policies always benefit Muslim terrorists and associated animals.
San Bernardino Shootings Destroy Leftist Narrative
Here’s how the left desperately attempted to spin narrative after narrative – and will continue to spin in the coming days, ignoring the very real threat of radical Islam.
It Must Be Pro-Lifers! In the aftermath of the left’s gleeful attempts to tie clinically insane person Robert Dear to the entire pro-life movement, they initially thought they’d hit the narrative gold mine again: a Planned Parenthood was located near the shooting location! How near? Well, not that near. At least a mile away, it turns out. But that didn’t stop Sam Stein of Huffington Post from tweeting:
Planned Parenthood is about 1.3 miles from site of shooting. CNN, however, is reporting that the shooting didn’t take place there [snip]
It Must Be Right-Wingers of Unspecified Political Priority! If it couldn’t be pinned on the pro-life movement, it had to be some other right-wingers, at least according to moral cow pie Markos Moulitsas of Vox.com, who tweeted this:
Yo GOP, kinda hard to talk about “keeping people safe” when your peeps are shooting up America. [snip]
Geraldo Rivera of Fox News had the day’s most facepalming moment on Twitter:
The key now is for us to be as outraged by San Bernadino massacre as we would be if Muslim extremists were doing the killing. This is terror [snip]
Oopsies. We Need More Gun Control! As the shootings unfolded, Democrats universally came out of the woodwork to chant to their pagan god, government: The Great God of Government had to stop such nefarious activities by activating the gun control agenda. Barack Obama said to CBS’s Norah O’Donnell, “We have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world.” Hillary Clinton tweeted:
I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now. [snip]
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) tweeted:
Mass shootings are becoming an almost-everyday occurrence in this country. This sickening and senseless gun violence must stop. [snip]
And the inimitable Geraldo Rivera again:
Mass shooting in San Bernadino California at a Center for the Developmentally Disabled WTF! The 2d Amendment is Stupid!!! Don’t rationalize.
It’s galling that Hillary Clinton has attached herself to this Barack Obama Muslim protection, gun control agenda. It won’t help her. Barack Obama is a suicide belt that will blow Hillary Clinton up.
Donald Trump has become such a force in the Republican Party that the official overseeing next year’s Senate races has proposed a delicate strategy for GOP candidates: Tap into Trumpism without mimicking Trump.
In a seven-page confidential memo that imagines Trump as the party’s presidential nominee, the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee urges candidates to adopt many of Trump’s tactics, issues and approaches — right down to adjusting the way they dress and how they use Twitter.
In the memo on “the Trump phenomenon,” NRSC Executive Director Ward Baker said Republicans should embrace Trump’s tough talk about China and “grab onto the best elements of [his] anti-Washington populist agenda.” Above all, they should appeal to voters as genuine and beyond the influence of special interests.
“Trump has risen because voters see him as authentic, independent, direct, firm, — and believe he can’t be bought,” Baker writes. “These are the same character traits our candidates should be advancing in 2016. That’s Trump lesson #1.”
In the Age of Fake, as we long ago declared this Obama period to be, the GOP establishment wants to fakeDonaldTrump even as they attack @RealDonaldTrump.
Unlike Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump will not wrap an Obama suicide belt around his waist. Donald Trump will not be an Obama third term. Quite the contrary. Donald Trump calls Muslim terrorists “Muslim terrorists”. That’s why Donald Trump is on the road to victory:
Trump County, USA
America’s most reliable bellwether county has fallen for the wild man from New York. [snip]
At the intersections of U.S. Highways 40 and 41, and off Interstate 70, you find yourself in Vigo County, with its 108,000 residents and its ho-hum county seat, Terre Haute, situated along the Wabash River. Terre Haute is the land of Clabber Girl Baking Powder—and its citizens call it the “Crossroads of America.” [snip]
And, in nearly every presidential election since 1888, voters here in this blue-collar county have selected the winning candidate, missing only twice: Once, in 1908, when they opted for Williams Jennings Bryan instead of William Howard Taft, and again in 1952, when they chose Adlai Stevenson rather than Dwight D. Eisenhower. [snip]
In America’s most prophetic county seat, Trump enjoys a diverse coalition of support, from the 17-year-old punk high school student on the eve of his first election to the 81-year-old Kennedy voter to the kind of folks who will reshuffle their Thursday night plans to attend a county GOP “Politics and Pies” event. Coastal pundits might lament Trump’s appeal to the “low information voter”—but I can tell you one thing: Terre Haute citizens are anything but poorly informed.
And if Trump can make it here—in this hollowed-out county of swing voters, union halls, three universities and a knot of CSX railroad lines, where voters seem to have a knack for predicting unpredictable elections—he can make it anywhere.
(CNN)Donald Trump is once again alone at the top of the Republican field, according to the latest CNN/ORC Poll, with 36% of registered Republicans and Republican-leaning independents behind him, while his nearest competitor trails by 20 points.
Three candidates cluster behind Trump in the mid-teens, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 16%, former neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 14% and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 12%. All other candidates have the support of less than 5% of GOP voters in the race for the Republican Party’s nomination for president.
Carson (down 8 points since October), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (down 5 points to 3%) and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (down 4 points to 1%) have lost the most ground since the last CNN/ORC poll, conducted in mid-October.
