All Hail The Sultan Of Brunei!

The magnificent Sultan of Brunei deserves much praise. Many Obama acolytes thought Barack Hussein Obama was the Messiah, the Lightbringer, in 2008. But all praise and glory to the real and Promethean Lightbringer – his overwhelming majesty the Sultan of Brunei!!!

The Lightbringer Sultan of Brunei lately is under attack:

Last week, celebrities including Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon Osbourne, Richard Branson and Clive Davis united for an unlikely cause: a boycott of the Beverly Hills Hotel, because its owner, the Sultan of Brunei, recently announced the implementation of Sharia law in his tiny South Asian nation.

A few hardly souls, like us, have been denouncing the imposition of Sharia Law in the West only to be denounced as Muslim haters or worse. In the past when we have denounced the Mosque of Doom at the World Trade Center 9/11 site we came under attack for stating that the Mosque of Doom should not be built. We noted at the time that the Muslims agitating for such a monstrosity had the legal right to build their Mosque but we thought decency should preclude such a provocation. We cited sensible Catholic clerics who aborted their planned and well intentioned sites at Nazi death camps with predominately Jewish victims as precedent.

Those of us who repeatedly call for “good” Muslims to attack and confront Islamic terrorists and Muslim extremists every time Islamic atrocities are perpetrated by Muslims are again accused of not being sufficiently “sensitive” to the plight of silent Muslims who by their silence lead many to wonder if it is the entire religion that fosters terrorism.

Now, thanks to the Lightbringer Sultan of Brunei not only is Shariah Law and the atrocities committed by Muslims in the West come into question but an even more elemental series of questions are being asked and unsatisfactory answers noted:

Theory states that Allah’s law is cruel and unfair,” said Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, “but Allah himself has said that his law is indeed fair.”

Under Sharia law, the following is considered criminal behavior, punishable by fines, jail, amputation of limbs, public flogging or death by stoning: absence from Friday prayer services; becoming pregnant out of wedlock; wearing indecent clothing, and for women, refusal to wear a hijab; employing a non-Muslim babysitter; the use of the word “Allah” by Christians and the discussion of faith by any non-Muslims; publicly eating or drinking during Ramadan; theft; homosexuality; and adultery.

We find ourselves indisputably guilty in the eyes of Sharia Law. If it was not for the Lightbringer Sultan of Brunei the public discussion which points to our guilt and the guilt of most if not all in the West, would not be known. All Hail the wise Lightbringer Sultan of Brunei:

The Sultan, now 67, has slowly been moving Brunei in this direction for decades, but this recent, drastic declaration has no clear motive. Brunei is so rich with oil it’s fully independent; nor is it a target of Islamic extremists.

So, why now?

“Who knows?” says Reza Aslan, religious scholar and author of “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth.” “This is obviously not coming from a place of religious devotion, since the Sultan himself is in violation of every single rule of Sharia law you could possibly imagine.”

Like Barack Hussein Obama this latest Lightbringer has some, um, issues, that do not comport with his words:

Indeed, the Sultan and his equally decadent brother, Prince Jefri, were dubbed “constant companions in hedonism” in 2011 by Vanity Fair. He lives in a palace with 1,788 rooms, 257 bathrooms, five swimming pools, a mosque, a banquet hall that holds 5,000 people and a 110-car garage. When he turned 50, the Sultan built a stadium, invited Michael Jackson to perform in it and paid him $17 million for three concerts.

Jefri, 59, maintains a separate pleasure palace and once owned a 152-foot yacht called “Tits”; he named its tenders “Nipple 1” and “Nipple 2” and could never understand why others often found that juvenile and crass. Here and abroad, the brothers are infamous for their sex parties and their harems composed mainly of underage girls.

All hail the Sultan of Brunei who rules by blood right not one of these phony “democratic” elections wherein lies are told and believed by the populace. All hail the Sultan of Brunei for bringing light and reason to those that usually shout “RACIST!”:

Maher: “Islamophobic Is A Word Created By Fascists, And Used By Cowards, To Manipulate Morons

BILL MAHER: They draw support from the general population. There was a Pew poll of Egypt — which is a leading Muslim country, maybe the leading Muslim country — and something like 80- or 90-percent believe that death is the proper punishment for leaving [Islam]. If they did a — we had the Sister on at the beginning of the show. If 84% of Brazilians thought that death was the proper penalty for leaving Catholicism, wouldn’t that be a bigger story?

ARIANNA HUFFINGTON: But the point is that you can not put all that together with the entire Islam, or all Muslims. I mean that’s where it becomes dangerous. And that’s where, unfortunately, a lot of conversation goes —

MAHER: Where it becomes dangerous is that liberals like yourself do not stand up for liberalism. Liberalism means, one, mostly equality for women, free speech, no death threats. You know? [snip]

MAHER: This group, Boko Haram, this group, their whole reason for coming into being was to install Sharia Law in Nigeria. In Brunei, the Sultan of Brunei just last week installed Sharia Law.

Okay. Failure to perform Friday prayers could get you whippings or amputations, because it is a religion of pieces. I know. I’m the bad guy because I’m against the people who cut your arms off for not praying. That’s me, I’m the bad guy.

THURSTON: No, no, you’re not the bad guy for that. You’re the bad guy because you’re saying it’s inherent in the religion and exclusive, and you’re not allowing for this opportunity and this possibility… [snip]

DINESH D’SOUZA: What’s going on here is there is a civil war in the mind of the liberal. On the one hand you have the defense — [snip]

D’SOUZA: On one hand you’re a defender of individual rights and if this were the Catholic Church

D’SOUZA: If this were the Catholic Church, you’d be all on it. But on the other hand, you’re committed to multiculturalism and Islam is a victim and we don’t want to make Muslims feel bad. And so these two impulses have got to be brokered, one against the other, and that’s why there is a protection of Islam. The problem isn’t the Muslims; the problem is the multiculturists on campus who protect and defend them. [snip]

ARIANNA HUFFINGTON: That’s ridiculous. This is like saying that all Muslims are guilty.

D’SOUZA: I’m not saying that.

MAHER: We’re not saying that! You’re hearing that, but we’re not saying that.

THURSTON: What you’re saying that Islam is the problem.

MAHER: Islam is the problem, correct; all religions are the problem, but especially this one.

MAHER: You know, speaking of the campus, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, we all know Ayaan Hirsi Ali, right? A brilliant woman. She was born in Somalia, underwent gentile [sic] mutilation.

HUFFINGTON: At the age of 5.

MAHER: Which almost all woman do in that country, and many other Muslim countries.

HUFFINGTON: And a fatwa against her.

MAHER: Right. So, you know, that’s not a good thing. So, she was going to speak at Brandeis, but she called Islam the new fascism, so they said she could not speak. And they said she is Islamophobic, who my friend Sam Harris reminded me today our deceased friend Christopher Hitchens said Islamophobic is a word created by fascists, and used by cowards, to manipulate morons.

Because to be phobic means to be scared of something that you’re not usually scared of, like the great outdoors. But to be phobic about honor killings, about throwing acid in girls’ faces, or marrying them off when they are eight-years-old. (HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, May 9, 2014)

All Hail the Sultan of Brunei. Without this Lightbringer we would not be having a discussion on Sharia Law and the non-innocence of Muslims who tolerate such required barbaric behavior.

All Hail the Lightbringer Sultan of Brunei who chose to bring his light unto the world at the same time as his fellow Muslims busied themselves in Nigeria.

Rejected by Brandeis University, Ayaan Hirsi Ali:

Boko Haram and the Kidnapped Schoolgirls

The Nigerian terror group reflects the general Islamist hatred of women’s rights. When will the West wake up?

Since the kidnapping of 276 schoolgirls in Nigeria last month, the meaning of Boko Haram—the name used by the terrorist group that seized the girls—has become more widely known. The translation from the Hausa language is usually given in English-language media as “Western Education Is Forbidden,” though “Non-Muslim Teaching Is Forbidden” might be more accurate.

But little attention has been paid to the group’s formal Arabic name: Jam’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-da’wa wal-Jihad. That roughly translates as “The Fellowship of the People of the Tradition for Preaching and Holy War.” That’s a lot less catchy than Boko Haram but significantly more revealing about the group and its mission. Far from being an aberration among Islamist terror groups, as some observers suggest, Boko Haram in its goals and methods is in fact all too representative.

The kidnapping of the schoolgirls throws into bold relief a central part of what the jihadists are about: the oppression of women. Boko Haram sincerely believes that girls are better off enslaved than educated. The terrorists’ mission is no different from that of the Taliban assassin who shot and nearly killed 15-year-old Pakistani Malala Yousafzai—as she rode a school bus home in 2012—because she advocated girls’ education. As I know from experience, nothing is more anathema to the jihadists than equal and educated women.

The values of the West are under attack. Those that defend the liberal democratic values are now termed racists or proponents of “white privilege”. Thanks to the Sultan of Brunei a few of the most privileged and wealthy are waking up to the danger and are boycotting a luxury hotel. From Beverly Hills these haters of the West and Western values have an opportunity to learn a bit more if they look beyond the Beverly Hills Hotel Sharia Law oasis:

How to explain this phenomenon to baffled Westerners, who these days seem more eager to smear the critics of jihadism as “Islamophobes” than to stand up for women’s most basic rights? Where are the Muslim college-student organizations denouncing Boko Haram? Where is the outrage during Friday prayers? These girls’ lives deserve more than a Twitter hashtag protest.

Organizations like Boko Haram do not arise in isolation. The men who establish Islamist groups, whether in Africa (Nigeria, Somalia, Mali), Southwest Asia (Afghanistan, Pakistan), or even Europe (U.K., Spain and the Netherlands), are members of long-established Muslim communities, most of whose members are happy to lead peaceful lives. To understand why the jihadists are flourishing, you need to understand the dynamics within those communities.

So, imagine an angry young man in any Muslim community anywhere in the world. Imagine him trying to establish an association of men dedicated to the practice of the Sunnah (the tradition of guidance from the Prophet Muhammad ). Much of the young man’s preaching will address the place of women. He will recommend that girls and women be kept indoors and covered from head to toe if they are to venture outside. He will also condemn the permissiveness of Western society.

Because they are now not able to attend the exclusive dining rooms and Elysium comforts of the Beverly Hills Hotel some of these race-baiter Obama supporters have time to learn a bit about the Islam no one wants to talk about:

In 2011, Boko Haram launched its first terror attack in Borno. Four people were killed, and from then on violence became an integral part, if not the central part, of its mission. The recent kidnappings—11 more girls were abducted by Boko Haram on Sunday—join a litany of outrages, including multiple car bombings and the murder of 59 schoolboys in February. On Monday, as if to demonstrate its growing power, Boko Haram launched a 12-hour attack in the city of Gamboru Ngala, firing into market crowds, setting houses aflame and shooting down residents who ran from the burning buildings. Hundreds were killed.

I am often told that the average Muslim wholeheartedly rejects the use of violence and terror, does not share the radicals’ belief that a degenerate and corrupt Western culture needs to be replaced with an Islamic one, and abhors the denigration of women’s most basic rights. Well, it is time for those peace-loving Muslims to do more, much more, to resist those in their midst who engage in this type of proselytizing before they proceed to the phase of holy war.

It is also time for Western liberals to wake up.

The murder of 59 boys did not engender the outrage the kidnapped girls have all too slowly received. Shouldn’t those dead boys have had some tears shed for them or are we, this website included, so politically correct that our bigotries pile on other bigotries? It took kidnapped girls and vivid video to spur to Twitter those that ordinarily would be drowned in Champagne at the Beverly Hills Hotel and those that in 2008 so ridiculously shouted “Yes we can!”

For the reptilian Michelle Obama it wasn’t about murdered boys nor kidnapped girls. For repulsive Michelle and Barack Obama it was all about themselves first and always foremost:

Michelle Obama: We ‘see our own daughters’ in Nigeria kidnap victims [snip]

In these girls, Barack and I see our own daughters,” Obama said while also marking Mother’s Day weekend.

Trayvon Martin anyone?

Moocher Michelle also took to Twitter to hold a sign with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls. Sidwell Friends was not the target of the hashtag attack.

Michelle Obama was not alone in squeaking out useless tweets to somehow persuade the Muslim thugs and creeps in Nigeria:

Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres and John Kerry took to Twitter to tell Nigerian kidnappers it’s time to bring back hundreds of schoolgirls.

Neocons have another message: Send in the troops.

Some conservatives are skeptical of the show of force on Twitter, rather than on the ground.

Twitter is not going to persuade these Muslim thugs to do anything. Yet the list of Hollywood celebrities taking to Twitter to get Muslim thugs to #BringBackOurGirls is nauseatingly long.

If troops and military action are to be taken they should be from the region. Where is the African Union? Why isn’t the African Union on the job and in a lead role? Also, the former colonial powers such as France, which still has influence in the region, should step up and take the lead role.

The United States role? Obama is too busy beating up on Israel and reaching out to the Muslim world to bother with anything other than publicity stunt deployments and publicity stunt Twitter wars. If you want to scare Boko Haram don’t send in American troops with eunuch Obama in charge. Send in the Légion étrangère, the French Foreign Legion.

Also, the Nigerian people have a strong role to play. If the West is to fight back against Islam and not be a cowering weakling then the fight must be taken for Western values and expose the Islam that has taken hold in the world today. Nigeria and Nigerians can play a role in the larger world-wide battle.

By some estimates Nigeria is more Christian than Muslim (49.3 – 48.8). Christianity is growing in Nigeria. Muslims against Boko Haram (if any) and Christians surely are a majority of the population that can not only bring back those girls, but bring back Western values.

Perhaps the kidnapped girls hashtag should be #BringBackOurChristianGirls because the majority of the kidnapped girls are Christian.

Bring back our Christian girls” will not be a popular message because it tells the greater truth. Meanwhile those Christian girls are getting converted the old fashioned way:

Nigeria abducted girls: Boko Haram leader claims captives converted to Islam

A Boko Haram video emerged Monday purportedly showing some of the kidnapped Nigerian girls in Muslim headdresses and the terror group’s leader declaring they have converted to Islam.

The video, released by French news agency Agence France-Presse, was shot in a nondescript bush area and showed about 100 girls.

In the 27-minute footage, the terror group’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, says he is willing to exchange the schoolgirls for Boko Haram prisoners.

It shows girls dressed in black and gray hijabs, and reciting the Quran as they make Islamic declarations of faith. Shekau appears in a separate part of the video, but never with the girls.

“Praise be to Allah, the lord of the world,” the girls in the video chant.

By the way, that “Zionist entity” that Obama attacks and John Kerry denounces as an Apartheid state? “Israel plans to send a team of counterterrorism experts to help“.

For some of us the events in Nigeria hit very close to if not directly home:

Hello all.

This has been an extremely tough month in my country. I have an uncle that lives in Abuja that missed being killed by the bus bomb at the motor park by about an hour. Christians had been threatened in the north all the time in the past, but Boko Haram have just lost their minds because now they are targeting their own. One of the things that I remain mad at til today is how long it took President Clinton (and I really love him) to go see what was happening in Rwanda. The same applies to uncle idiot in the White House now. Unfortunately, leadership I my country still cannot be trusted. That said, bumbles could have easily sent an investigative team along with an interdiction team and those girls could be home now. I am encouraged by the outpouring of support as a result of the protests. I look forward to the world dedicating the resources to match that support. I would ask from everyone here continued prayers. No resources as at yet. Can’t be sure of where any donations would end up.

Charlie Rose interviewed a nun this week that talked about not just the girls in my county, but across Africa that are invisible. I wish there was a way to get her in touch with Hillary. Please take a few minutes and watch. Thank you.”

The world needs the United States to lead. The world needs the values the United States once so proudly lived by. The liberal democratic values of the West must be defended.

In 2008 we lost more than we will ever know. But we will recover and by then the phony Lightbringers will be back in their little caves in the darkness.

  1. nice research, Admin. Good take on this situation. And yeah, they just can’t help “Trayvon-ing” every situation.

  2. Sorry, I will comment on the more serious articles Admin posted on this new thread, but the name ‘Boko Haram’ has been messing with my head for days.

    Now I remember why –

Back to reading this post by Admin that is making my blood boil.

  3. Karl Rove doing his best to elect Hillary:

Karl Rove stunned a conference when he suggested Hillary Clinton might have brain damage.

Onstage with Robert Gibbs and CBS correspondent and “Spies Against Armageddon” co-author Dan Raviv, Rove said Republicans should keep the Benghazi issue alive.

He said if Clinton runs for president, voters must be told what happened when she suffered a fall in December 2012.

The official diagnosis was a blood clot. Rove told the conference near LA Thursday, “Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.”

Rove repeated the claim a number of times to the audience. Clinton’s rep said, “Please assure Dr. Rove she’s 100 percent.”

  4. What a strange day when I agree with Maher. The liberals on the panel sound so incredibly naive and just plain stupid.

Those were my thoughts, as well.

  8. Man made like Meth. 👿

n the video, news image analyst Michael Shaw, publisher of, describes how important the exclusion of press photographers is to the White House and how effectively Obama’s public relations outfit uses social media to disseminate the desired image – literally and figuratively – of the president.

Shaw explains something I’ve never completely understood – Obama’s constant appearances in the presence of celebrities. Shaw asserts that by situating Obama within the popular culture, his advisors successfully erased the sense of unfamiliarity and even strangeness about a man who was very different from previous presidents – an African American whose middle name was Hussein and whose birthplace was in question among some.

  9. “If you want to scare Boko Haram…. Send in the Légion étrangère”

You’re right and you’re wrong here:

You’re right to think that the Foreign Legion would not scare but obliterate Boko Haram in a few weeks and bring back a lot of the girls, maybe boy soldiers too. Example of past action: Al Qaeda made incursions into Mali last year, doing as much damage as Boko Haram; the French sent in a detachment and cleaned Al Qaeda out in 3 weeks. There is still a detachment there to seal off the border.

But (1) France was the former colonist of Mali; and (2) Mali asked the French directly for help, which was mandated by the UN, though no one else was willing to get involved.

Now, France didn’t colonize or create Nigeria. That was the UK. There’s still this division of the world into former colonies by various European countries even if they no longer have any administrative control.

In short: The Nigerians won’t ask France. They won’t necessarily ask the US either. Their window onto the world is the UK.

I think the Brits would be willing to get involved if it was a joint effort led or supported by the US. Otherwise, it’s probably not going to happen. Obama = “otherwise”.

“Karl Rove doing his best to elect Hillary:”

Yeah, I saw that article too and that was my reaction and that of the article writer.

But you gotta admit, he’s trying!

  11. Sorry to mess with your head today, Shadowfax, but this is a curious article titled “Hillary Clinton will be America’s Third Black President” that I’d like you to read because it’s hard for me to follow. The reasoning and objective escape me. I’m sure the article’s of no consequence, won’t go viral etc. because I’ve never heard of the author (Daniel Greenfield) or the organ (“Frontpage Mag”); but it seems to be written seriously and coherently. Maybe you can penetrate this dude’s philosophy and figure out where his head’s at, what he’s driving at. Conservative? Uber-liberal? Post-racial? Creative class? Young? Hillary supporter or hater?

  12. Rove knows he made a big mistake:

Republican strategist Karl Rove on Tuesday distanced himself from a provocative New York Post headline, saying he does not believe — as the newspaper asserted — that former secretary of state Hillary Clinton suffered “brain damage” from a head injury in 2012.

Of course she doesn’t have brain damage,” he said in an interview with The Washington Post.

But Rove said that it is apparent that Clinton suffered “a serious health episode.” He added that if she runs for president in 2016, “she is going to have to be forthcoming” about the details of where, how and when it happened. [snip]

She didn’t feign illness,” Rove said of Clinton’s failure to show up at an early round of congressional hearings on Benghazi, Libya — an absence that some conservative commenters dubbed the “Benghazi flu.” [snip]

The report in New York Post’s “Page Six” column said Rove addressed Clinton’s health during a conference in Los Angeles on Thursday, when he appeared alongside former Obama administration spokesman Robert Gibbs and CBS correspondent Dan Raviv.

Noting reports that Clinton had suffered a blood clot after a fall in December 2012, Rove said, “Thirty days in the hospital? And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.”

The tabloid said Rove “repeated the claim a number of times to the audience.” The headline on the item read, “Karl Rove: Hillary may have brain damage.”

According to news reports, Clinton was hospitalized for three days, not 30. The secretary of state was admitted to New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center for a blood clot that developed after a fall from dehydration related to a stomach virus, according to Clinton aides and hospital officials.

Not surprising that thug Robert Gibbs said nothing to dispute Rove.

  13. “Man made like Meth.”

Foxy, BO reminds me of Forrest Gump and Zelig (in the films of the same name.)

  14. Select committee on Benghazi is a good and necessary idea:

Former acting Central Intelligence Agency director Michael Morell said Monday that he supports the House of Representatives’ decision to establish a special investigative committee to look into the deadly attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya in 2012.

Speaking to a forum founded and run by his former boss at the CIA, Leon Panetta, Morell said he hopes that the House effort can lay to rest lingering questions Americans’ have about the attack which killed the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans.

“A lot of people have looked at this, but the polls show that the American people still have questions. I want to make sure that all of those questions are cleared up. There are still some questions about the role of the agency. And there are still questions about my own personal role and I want to clear that up,” Morell said during a panel discussion at the Panetta Institute in Monterey, Calif. “It might be surprising for you to hear me say this, but I am a supporter of the creation of this committee because I want all the facts to come together in one place and be presented as one—by one entity as one thing, so the American people can see all of this.”

I am hopeful that at least getting the facts on the table will be helpful,” [snip]

During his appearance Monday, Morell sought to make clear that he had no involvement whatsover in drafting Rhodes’s messaging memo and, in fact, didn’t even know about it until recently.

  15. Benghazi select committee is legitimate says Panetta:

Panetta, a former Central Coast congressman and Democratic Party stalwart, said there needs to be an investigation to lay out the full story to the public. “The problem has been sometimes bits and pieces of information keep coming out” that raise more questions, he said.

“Obviously there is a concern whether it’s going to be a political effort to target an issue for a campaign,” Panetta said. “I hope Democrats participate, and it really is a legitimate effort.”

Mueller said FBI agents were on the ground in Benghazi after the attack and their international investigation continues.

“Demographics May Be Destiny — But Not One Political Direction”
    By Michael Barone – May 13, 2014

From the results of the 2008 presidential election, many pundits prophesied a bleak future for the Republican Party, and not implausibly.
The exit poll showed that President Obama carried by overwhelming margins two demographic segments that were bound to become a larger share of the electorate over time.

He carried Hispanics 67 to 31 percent, despite Republican opponent John McCain’s support of comprehensive immigration legislation. Obama carried voters under 30 — the so-called Millennial Generation — by 66 to 32 percent.
But over time, Democrats’ hold on these groups has weakened. In Gallup polls, Obama’s job approval among Hispanics declined from 75 percent in 2012 to 52 in 2013 and among Millennials from 61 percent in 2012 to 46 percent in 2013.
The recent Harvard Institute of Politics poll of Millennials showed Democrats with a big party identification edge among those over 25, but ahead of Republicans by only 41 to 38 percent among those 18 to 20.

The older Millennials came of political age during the late George W. Bush years and were transfixed by the glamor of candidate Obama in 2008.

The younger Millennials are coming of political age in the middle Obama years and are plainly less enchanted and open to the other party.

  17. Ezra Klein, journolister, describes the Millennials’ loss of faith in the PRESIDENCY as a good thing. He frames this as a good lesson in basic government, since presidents basically lack the power to create significant change. This was due to founders’ fear of anything resembling a monarch, he goes on to say. This was a sensible fear IMHO, and still is a concern in view of the power the executive branch has assumed under Barack.

This seems to be Klein’s subtle attempt to explain Obama’s loss of popularity with his previously worshipful Millennials, in terms of their loss of faith in the office of presidency – not the man occupying the office. This view would be more valid had Barack not claimed to be able to create all of the change their young hearts desired. He claimed to do all of the things Klein NOW says no president is capable of doing. Obama’s claims were supported by his friends in media, among the most adoring of which were the JournoListers who connived and conspired to have any negative info about Obama, and there was plenty, kept out of media and away from the awareness of American voters.

It’s not about the office. It’s about the liar who occupies it, and the liars who helped him get there.

“Millennials are losing faith in the presidency. Good”.
Updated by Ezra Klein on May 13, 2014, 9:00 a.m. ET

In 2008, Barack Obama’s campaign promised “change we can believe in.” And young voters did believe in it: 2008 saw the third-highest turnout among young voters on record, and Obama captured an incredible 66 percent of their votes (by contrast, Al Gore and George W. Bush tied 48-48 for the youth vote). Here, finally, was a president young voters could believe in.

Five years later, young voters have stopped believing. A poll by Harvard’s Institute of Politics found that young voters’ trust in the institution of the presidency has dropped from 44 percent in 2010 to 32 percent now. In other words, Barack Obama’s presidency has broken young voters’ faith in the presidency.

Millennials are losing faith in the presidency. Good.Updated by Ezra Klein on May 13, 2014, 9:00 a.m. ET

First of all, this article is all over the map, not a logical piece of well written work. I can’t take any of it seriously.

By all over the map, I mean that the author tries to define racism in terms of which race is the victim/s, while everyone else is the racist. How the Democratic party has misused those victims and how Hillary will be attacked because she is in that party. They basically say Hillary will be attacked on every front, tossing in all but the kitchen sink.

Try the link to see what the site is ‘About’, and what the author has written. It leads you to a dead end page that you can not backtrack away from.

    Forget this site, jeswezey.

Opponents of free speech have lately chalked up many such victories: New York City Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly prevented from speaking at Brown University in November; a lecture by Charles Murray canceled by Azusa Pacific University in April; Condoleezza Rice, former secretary of state and national-security adviser under the George W. Bush administration, harassed earlier this month into declining the invitation by Rutgers University to address this year’s convocation.

Most painful to me was the Harvard scene several years ago when the Committee on Degrees in Social Studies, celebrating its 50th anniversary, accepted a donation in honor of its former head tutor Martin Peretz, whose contributions to the university include the chair in Yiddish I have been privileged to hold. His enemies on campus generated a “party against Marty” that forced him to walk a gauntlet of jeering students for having allegedly offended Islam, while putting others on notice that they had best not be perceived guilty of association with him.

Universities have not only failed to stand up to those who limit debate, they have played a part in encouraging them. The modish commitment to so-called diversity replaces the ideal of guaranteed equal treatment of individuals with guaranteed group preferences in hiring and curricular offerings.

Females and members of visible minorities are given handicaps (as in golf). Courses are devised to inculcate in students the core lesson that (in the words of one recent graduate, writing online at the Huffington Post) “harmful structural inequalities persist on the basis of class, race, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in the U.S.” On too many campuses, as in a funhouse mirror, ideological commitment to diversity has brought about its opposite: ideological hegemony, which is much more harmful to the life of the mind than the alleged structural inequalities that social engineering set out to correct.

Admin, Kooks are truly laughable – and pathetic in their delusion.

Yeah, funny of them, trying to say the our use of the word “boob” to describen His Oneness is slyly hinting at “boy”. Actually, that’s us trying to hold our tongues, from calling him something worse: “that F&%*&ng 8zz#$%^”. Or “Bush Lite”.

  21. Karl Rove is a funny (but vile) little guy. He is supposedly so concerned about Hillary having brain damage. How sweet of him to be so worried about her. 😉

Guess he was not the least bit worried about Obama when he was a candidate and supposedly the only medical report he made available was a one page letter from his doctor saying BO was in good health.

Let’s see, the Republicans have said Hillary was solely responsible for Benghazi, Monica, Hillary has brain damage. It’s get out the popcorn time.

  22. I agree Southern.

    The glasses, the glasses!

Proof that she is not fit enough to be President. She might die, she might gain weight, she might go though MP and get more wrinkles, her ankles, her scrunchies, she might get gray hair and she might be the too old grandma.

Rove is a washed up hack that helped Donna give birth to that slacker that has caused the US to take a back seat to every important issue that came up in is term/s.

STFU Rove, your 15 minutes are over. Take your little white board and crawl back into your hole like Saddam. Even when Hillary was sick, she could have slapped you silly, again.

  23. SB, based on the Pubs’ logic, everyone should want to see Hillary elected president. Any candidate who has the physical stamina, energy, and versatility required to do all the things she is accused of doing should be elected president. lol

And, you have to wonder if Rove has had an MRI lately. He sounds a little crazy.

rgb44hrc, you are so right! Boob doesn’t come close to being as bad as some of the things he could rightly be called.

But to say it hinted at “boy” is in Meechell’s words, “trifling’ and a joke. Having to face the fact that their guy is fallible and in fact, truly incompetent must be hard for the Kooks to take. They’re sounding a little hysterical and shrill – not to mention hilarious.

  24. Wbb

Just wondering about a post above, where you broke down Trey’s new team of Legal Birds, (not quite Eagles to me yet).

I noticed ALL of them are Republican’s. I thought our boy Trey was going to be fair and balanced. Are there no good Democratic lawyers these days he can trust?

The Republican Party won the House, and as Obama is fond of saying as his big media whores swoon is elections have consequences. So the Republicans as the majority party get 7 seats–and four of those seats are filled with what I consider to be heavy weights. The Democrats as the minority party are entitled to 5 seats and hopefully they will fill them with heavy weights as well, once they get done fucking around with this dance of the seven veils. To be clear, Elija Cummings is not in any way shape or form a heavy weight. He is a wart on the nose of progress, and if he shows up on the committee, then that is a tell that they are not interested in the truth. There is too much bad blood between him and Darryl Issa for either one of them to be seated. His reputation for obstructionism and his tampering with witnesses (Leaner) precedes him. The thing that Trey needs to watch out for, in addition to keeping his own team from going political, is that he not proceed as a prosecutor. That role should be assigned to the Chief Counsel, who like Sam Dash in Watergate can function in that capacity.

  29. Admin: we now know more than we did before about Benghazi. For example, it now appears that the cover-up was orchestrated by that political hack for all seasons Tom Donolin. Donolin is an enemy of the Clintons. Last time he surfaced he was passing along top secret information to a New York Times writer about SEAL tactics, in order to aid and abet the Obama campaign. As National Security adviser he should be lynched for doing that. Now it appears that he was the one who orchestrated the Benghazin cover-up, and that is what I believe the investigation will ultimately show. By the way, this is an open secret in Washington and big media has participated in the cover-up, including of all people Bob Woodward. If that is the case, then it will be hard to blame Hillary for masterminding the cover-up. The evidence will also show that on the night of the attack Obama did not give the order to save the troops that he said he did, and the proof will be the lack of a record of that order, i.e. the dog that did not bark. Finally, the evidence will show that the CIA wanted the Benghazi consulate to remain open despite the threats of violence, and was the source of the denial of requests for additional security. In sum, I think the investigation will clear Hillary and point the finger where it rightfully belongs. I hope she lets it play out, and makes no further admissions or statements that show an insensitivity to the loss of life which occurred. The less said the better.

  30. wbb

Elija Cummings is horrible. He is so far up Barry’s butt it isn’t funny.

Does he have to pick members of Congress to be on his team? I thought it was just good attorneys.

  31. This from Time. At least someone is aware that “conservatives” are using Benghazi – and now Boko Haram! – to pillory Hillary, and providing some blowback.

No, Hillary Clinton Isn’t ‘Soft’ on Terrorism

    By Michael Crowley

Conservatives are pouncing on Benghazi and Boko Haram as evidence that the likely 2016 Democratic nominee is weak on national security. It’s a bogus charge.

Conservatives eager for lines of attack against Hillary Clinton ahead of her presumed presidential run are currently hammering two story lines with a common theme—that she is soft on terrorism. It’s a bizarre attack. While you can second-guess some of Clinton’s secondary decisions while she was Secretary of State, the most important fact about her tenure in Obama’s cabinet is that, when it came to fighting terrorism and the use of American power, she was its most hawkish member.

Story line number one in the conservative case is Clinton’s 2011 decision not to place the despicable Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram on the State Department’s official list of foreign terrorist organizations, even after the group’s violent radicalism was well-known. There were some good reasons for this. But conservatives see a simple lesson: “That’s a question of judgment, leadership, [and] strength in foreign policy,” former Bush White House press secretary Ari Fleischer told Newsmax.

Story line number two is Benghazi. The case is subtler here, but among the many sins the right is trying to pin on Clinton is a lack of awareness about the terrorist threat in post-Ghaddafi Libya. A 2013 House Republican investigation of Benghazi decried a “fundamental lack of understanding at the highest levels of the State Department as to the dangers presented in Benghazi” while Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro declared that Clinton “violated the most basic standard of duty” by not ensuring better security.

Both these episodes offer rich material for a talented political ad maker. (Hillary Clinton: She couldn’t protect our ambassador in Libya. She couldn’t protect these schoolgirls. How can we trust her to protect us?) Taken together — as they surely will be — these data points will enable conservatives to argue, as one did recently in the New York Post, that as Secretary of State Clinton “logged nearly a million miles of travel but was otherwise an appendage of a strategy of retreat.” And low-information voters who don’t follow foreign policy closely might buy it.
But that would be an extremely misleading portrait of Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. In fact, Clinton was the most reliable advocate in Obama’s first term for the use of U.S. military power abroad. As I detailed recently — based on interviews with administration sources as well as published accounts — Clinton led the hawks on issues ranging from troop levels in Iraq to arming Syria’s rebels to the air campaign over Libya (which she may have played a decisive role in convincing Obama to mount). When it came to the war in Afghanistan — which conservatives called crucial to the terror war — Clinton’s position was actually slightly to the right of then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates, a Republican holdover from the Bush years. And don’t forget that Clinton — also unlike Gates, and Vice President Joe Biden — voted strongly in favor of the daring 2011 raid in Pakistan that killed Osama bin Laden. No wonder David Petraeus — former CIA director and terrorist hunter in Afghanistan in Iraq — recently declared that Clinton would make “a tremendous president.”

You don’t have to applaud that record: the left certainly doesn’t. “She’s a f-cking hawk and a neocon, basically,” the civil liberties crusader Glenn Greenwald tells GQ magazine.

But it is not a portrait of a woman who is “soft” or “weak” when it comes to national security. Which may be exactly why conservatives are so eager to refract Clinton’s record through the distorting lenses of Boko Haram and Benghazi.

  32. Another race where I will be contributing to the Democrat (after Grimes and Begich) is Tennant in WV.

At her primary victory speech, Tennant came out swinging against Obama (mainly on coal) but apparently she’s going to support changes to the Affordable Care Act (which she will not call “Obamacare”), and not run away from the issue. That’s what WJC advised Democrats to do.

The Clintons will be able to count on Tennant (and Joe Manchin too) going into 2016. WV is a slam dunk for Hillary.

The tea party scored a win in Nebraska on Tuesday as university president Ben Sasse captured the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in a bitter race that highlighted fissures within the GOP. Sasse, who had the backing of outside conservative groups, Sarah Palin and Sen. Ted Cruz, grabbed 48 percent of the vote in a five-man primary. Sid Dinsdale, the president of Pinnacle Bank, surged to second, while former State Treasurer Shane Osborn finished third.Snip In West Virginia, Republican Rep. Shelley Moore Capito and Democrat Natalie Tennant cruised to primary wins and will square off in a Senate showdown in November that will give the state its first female senator.snip

  34. Jacqueline Kennedy’s letters to Irish priest to be auctioned off next month
Snip He’s like my father in a way — loves the chase and is bored with the conquest — and once married needs proof he’s still attractive, so flirts with other women and resents you,” the then-Jacqueline Bouvier writes. snip

I think this event will help Hillary regardless of whether she runs for office. According to an Englishman I spoke with years ago, the world mocked the U.S. for even bothering about Bill’s infidelity. Meaning such behavior comes with the territory.

  35. How can you feel any loyalty to a nation run by radical leftists who despise white people, males, hetrosexuals, squander our money, fail to defend our borders, destroy our health care system and invalidate our constitution.

At one time, I argued that it is a mistake to conflate the nation with the party that controls it. That was when Barry claimed that to defy his agenda was unpatriotic. I now realize that is wrong. Why? Simple:the country is not an artificial being. The country is not the faded pages of a history book. And, the country is not a set of traditions which the left is bent on destroying.

The country is the people. And despite the fact that Obama and his party are destroying everything that matters, 50% of the people think that Obama is doing a good job, according to Rassmussen.

How different from the generation who fought World War II.

If the nation is defined by the people, then I for one want no part of it–or them.

While I am at it, I owe everyone here an apology for suggesting that the left and right have a common interest in attacking the corporate state. They do, but the case for it is theoretical, speculative, and ignores the fact that they hate each other to such an extent that no modus vivendi, much less alliance is possible.

Irreconcilable differences is the term I used for it the other day. Put differently, a bridge too far. The discord we see in Congress is symptomatic of the discord which exists in the electorate, and on the bench, and everywhere else. I am not interested in any reconciliation or compromise with these people, for any reason under the sun.
So when that mindbendingly stupid woman Pelosi demands fairness in the investigation of Benghazi, I have only one response: fairness is for suckers.

Let me close with something Thomas Crown said, which I have repeated here on more than one occasion:

“Should the entire American Left fall over dead tomorrow, I would rejoice, and order pizza to celebrate. They are not my countrymen; they are animals who happen to walk upright and make noises that approximate speech. They are below human. I look forward to seeing each and every one in Hell.”

In the meantime, here is Larry’s assessment of the foreign policy triumph of big media beloved messiah, in the sixth year of his tyrannical and oppressive reign:

    Putin to Obama–Go Fuck Yourself

    By Larry Johnsongravatar

on May 13, 2014 at 10:04 PM in Current Affairs

Call me prescient. I warned of this possibility several weeks ago. The Russians are moving to exclude the United States from the International Space Station and no longer give us access to their rockets:

Russia is to deny the US use of the International Space Station beyond 2020 and will bar export of critical rocket engines to the US, in a move that has highlighted American dependence on Russian space technology. . . .

Washington last month decided to revoke export licences for technology goods that can be used militarily by Russia and to refuse to extend new ones. Washington is also considering new restrictions on the export of high-tech equipment to develop Russia’s energy resources.

Moscow’s move against the ISS came in the form of a rejection of a US request to use the station beyond 2020. The ISS, jointly maintained by several countries, has been continuously manned by rotating missions for more than 13 years and is used for research, some of which is considered vital for further space exploration.

Assuming Russia does not reconsider, its decision on the ISS could strengthen China, which aims to have its own space station by 2020 and is currently excluded from the ISS – chiefly because of opposition from the US.

Obama and his team of infants live in a delusional, alternate universe. The US is no longer the Super Power in charge that controls the world and space. Far from it. We are hitchhikers dependent on Russians willing to haul our asses around.

  36. This is the whole problem with supply change management: All it takes is one weak link. A Putin here. A revolutionary leader there. Suddenly, the system grinds to a halt. Supply chain management only works when you are sure of the capacity and good will of your partners. And good will between former adversaries is a risky business. In the virtual world of Obama, like diamonds it is forever. But in the real world which 50% of us live in, good will from former adversaries is a fleeting thing. And I do not need some Norman Ornstein or Brookings hack to spin this one. It is what it is. And where the foreign policy of big media beloved messiah is concerned Shakespeare said it best: nothing will come of nothing.

  37. I rather suspect that most people on this blog have little interest in the civil war which is taking place in the Republican Party, because they have not considered its implications. It should be clear to everyone at this point that corporations control our political process, and with rare exceptions, politicians serve their interests–not ours. There is no similar civil war in the Democratic Party. Therefore, if there is any hope of dismantling the corporate state which is destroying the middle class, and is giving us an oppressive and tyrannical government untethered by the Constitution then that revolution must begin with the Tea Party element of the Republican Party and it must directly attack the mainstream media which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the corporate state, which is sucking the wealth of this nation into Washington and leaving posterity with an inextinguishable debt. Here is the latest news from the front line of that battle.
Heads They Win. Tails We Lose.

    By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | May 14th, 2014 at 04:30 AM | 31

This is how it is and always will be. It is still funny to point it out.

Mitch McConnell and company poured dollars into beating Ben Sasse in Nebraska. K Street turned out with him. Shane Osborn got to parade before Republican Senators. They had him a nice fundraiser at the NRSC. At the end of the race the Establishment Super PACs spend over a hundred thousand dollars to attack Ben Sasse.

During the race, NRSC guys and their outside consultants ridiculed the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, and other groups for supporting Sasse.

And last night Ben Sasse won. In West Virginia too, Alex Mooney won. He was backed by the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, RedState, and other conservative groups.

And the leadership stooges in the media have, since sun up on Election Day, pushed a comprehensive narrative that there was no establishment vs. conservatives fight in these races. In fact, if you looked at the twitter feed of many of the GOP’s sock puppets in the press and their related lobbyists and campaign staffers you would be convinced they were all solidly behind Ben Sasse, let along Alex Mooney in West Virginia.

It really is impressive how the Establishment always wins even when they lose and I’m not sure what some of these reporters must spend on moisturizer to tame the carpet burn on their knees. Nonetheless, it was always this way and always will be this way.

But Ben Sasse, Pete Ricketts, and Alex Mooney are three good men who had great nights and I congratulate them.

  38. I ran for Congress and lost. Here’s what I learned.
By Katrina Pierson, May 12, 2014
…I have defended Republicans against accusations of racism for years. I have done this not because I’m a proud black Republican woman — which I am — but because it’s right. But the Republican establishment isn’t concerned with all of America; it only cares about cashing donors’ checks….

The winner is Pete Sessions who will not bow one iota to the 42% who voted for Katrina. The loser is everybody else.

  39. OBAMA: “I promise to bring efficiency to government, just like my 2008 campaign was the most efficient operation Ever in the History of Mankind”.

    Reality: not so much.

Obamacare Contractor Pays Employees to ‘Do Nothing’

Last summer, the federal government was greeted with raised eyebrows when it awarded a UK-based firm a contract worth $1.2 billion to process Obamacare applications. At the same time, the company was being investigated for overbilling the British government tens of millions of pounds.

Though it managed to work through a year of Obamacare’s implementation relatively unnoticed, the contractor, Serco Inc., is back in the spotlight—and raising questions over the validity of its work.

Related: Obamacare—Taxpayers in the Hole for $1.5 Trillion

A report by in St. Louis claims that Serco—tasked with processing Obamacare applications—is allegedly paying its workers to do nothing at all.

Employees told the local television station that they are instructed to simply stare at a computer screen and hit refresh every 10 minutes.

“There are some weeks that a data entry person would not process an application,” an employee told KMOV.

The report suggests that Serco is keeping an unnecessary number of employees because it gets paid per worker, instead of by the number of applications they are processing. They are currently hiring.

Related: Obamacare Spells the End of Employer-Based Coverage

The British-based contractor is still under investigation in the U.K.

Still, the administration has defended the company. Last year, amid the fraud investigation, Brian Cook, a spokesman for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services told Reuters, “Serco is a highly skilled company that has a proven track record in providing cost-effective services to numerous other [U.S.] federal agencies.”

Serco has spent millions lobbying in D.C. and contributing to campaigns, including upwards of $6,000 to the president’s reelection campaign, according to the Sunlight Foundation.

  40. 🙂 🙂 Bill Clinton: ‘Hillary Did What She Should Have Done’ With Benghazi. 5/14/14.
Former President Bill Clinton defended his wife’s handling of the 2012 attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya in his remarks Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s annual fiscal summit Wednesday. He said her establishment of a “high-level review committee” was the appropriate response to the attack, which left four Americans dead.
“In my opinion, Hillary did what she should have done,” Clinton said.
The attacks occurred when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state and the Obama administration’s handling of the incident has been heavily criticized by Republicans.
Moderator Gwen Ifill then pressed Clinton for his thoughts on a new select congressional committee established by House Republicans earlier this month. Clinton quipped that she wanted him to get into a “political fight.”
“I’m not doing that. I’m not running for anything,” Clinton said.
He went on to encourage observers and other members of the Obama administration to view the investigation as a politicized attack.
“My advice to everyone involved, not be defensive, realize what this is,” Clinton said.

  42. It just hit me, that WJC’s “they’ll get better and better at it” comment implies a very likely, if not definite, Hillary run. Does it not?

  43. It is not Republicans, nor conservatives that Hillary Clinton 2016 supporters must be prepared to do battle against. As in 2008 the enemy is Big Media, the DailyKooks left and most of all the treacherous Barack Obama.

On Benghazi and every other issue Obama is slyly using Hillary as a shield to protect himself. Many who proclaim themselves Hillary Clinton 2016 supporters are really only Obama wolves using Hillary until an opportune time to stab her in the back. White House Dossier has an interesting catch along these lines:

I watched this video and was left wondering . . .

What is this? I’m asking you.

Please take a look at this video, released by the White House Tuesday, and tell me if it doesn’t look to you like a campaign commercial for Vice President Biden.

  44. Admin, when I read that caption about Barack proposing more funding for building our infrastructure (paraphrasing), I wondered if this video, if one really stretched the point, could be to garner support for Barack’s proposal. But that WAS NOT THE CASE. No details were given to enable one to support this proposal, if indeed, Barack even has to have support.

With Biden’s capped teeth showing in every frame, meeting with Pubs and Dems to ostensibly “get things done” and with other important looking groups of MEN, the only thing missing were the words “Biden for President – 2016”.

Not only does Joe have Barack’s blessing, he’s found a way to have us pay for his damn campaign advertisements. These are some sneaky bastards. I swear though. The more shit they pull – Barack, the libs, and MSM – the more people are going to see the game there’re running against her – I hope. People know she was cheated in 2008. Lots of people. Hopefully this will be like the Pubs overkill with Monica, etc.

  45. Admin, you’re right. Hillary has no time to waste. She needs to make the break with Barack ASAP – no time to waste. They’re framing the race and laying the groundwork to steal the nomination from her AGAIN.

  46. Breadcrumbs from the Big Dawg?

Former President Clinton said he was “dumbfounded” at Karl Rove’s recent questioning about his wife and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s December 2013 hospital visit for a blood clot.

“She (Hillary) works out every week, she is strong, she’s doing great. As far as I can tell she’s in better shape than I am now,” Clinton said.

“I was sort of dumbfounded,” Clinton added. “You can’t get too upset about it — it’s just the beginning, they’ll get better and better at it. I’m still waiting for them to admit there was nothing in White Water.”

Rove questioned the former secretary of State’s hospital stint, which Clinton representatives have said was due to a blood clot, at a conference near Los Angeles on Thursday.

Clinton also defended his wife against Republican critics who questioned her handling of the 2012 attack at a U.S. post in Benghazi. “In my opinion, Hillary did what she should have done,” Clinton said. “Secretaries of State never were involved directly in these security decisions.”

Part of link posted by FreeSpirit above.

  47. Clinton said. “Secretaries of State never were involved directly in these security decisions.”
This is why we need to have a legitimate investigation. Without it baseless charges can be hurled at people who were doing their jobs. We need to facts. And, as noted above, the facts will exonerate Hillary from all the left and right wing innuendo.

    May 14, 2014 at 1:01 am

  48. Agreed, web. If the investigation is not just a way for Pubs (and Obamadims) to lay the whole thing on Hillary, if it is conducted properly, as those who are knowledgable about Gowdy say it will be, then it needs to happen.

Maybe the Dems who are the most adamantly against the investigation are seeking to blame it on Hillary, when all is said and done.

    More Hillary Clinton websites debut:

It’s great they listed Big Pink and other sites that have been around since 2007.

They need to dress it up a bit if they want to flash her support like the PUMA sites did in 2008.

All the links and sites, we were all one. Yea, I know DailyPUMA is still there, but he has become judge on which sites are real Democrats for Hillay and lumped everyone else in the ‘enemy’ territory of Rethugs or leaning rethugs. That site is now a waste of time.

  51. What happened to Murphy and her PUMAPac?

Murph, I hope you come back and support Hillary if she runs.
It might be time for some ‘prowls’. 😉

I was with PUMApac in Denver 2008 and we sure stirred up some trouble for Obama supporters.

  52. The Correct the Record site that Admin posted above, has some good info about Hillary. I think that’s the site Still4Hill was supporting a while back that posted correct info about Hillary on Twitter, whenever lies or inaccuracies were on the news or social media. It looks pretty good.

I have contributed to a few PACS. But, some have so many people who were die hard Obama in 2008, I’m skeptical. Plus, I don’t like the idea of any money I contribute to a Hillary PAC being shifted over for use by other Dem candidates, if they fall short of contributions and the DNC can’t or won’t give them much help. I heard this has happened. I’m pretty wary and reluctant to contribute at this point.

Shadow, I loved those PUMA Prowls. I hope Murphy does return, although someone there posts occasionally, now. And, Uppity Woman indicated that she would be back if Hillary ran in 2016. Imusthavepie posts some really good articles at that site occasionally. Some of the other prominent Hillary sites and Puma blogs have indicated that they won’t – or may not – support her if she runs in 2016. Their loss. I’m up for it and so ready to get this show on the road.

  53. It just occurred to me, foxy hasn’t posted since Tuesday. That’s not much like her. Hope all is ok, foxy.

Narrow 2 lane – main route through the area – with big tree company truck. The two flaggers were not strategically placed & therefore hard to find. I pulled up close to the second one saying “It is difficult for drivers to see you are here.” His only reply was to smile. 3 more X I complained. 3 more X he smiled. I called electric utility to complain. They got back to me several days later: they had no crews in area & suggested Asplundh. That company also got back to me but made no admissions. Point being, the push is on to get them integrated into society. They are nowhere near ready for many of the positions. There are a lot of seemingly unlikely mishaps in these times.

…Ras Baraka delivered speeches in the style of a street preacher, rousing Newark’s dispossessed as forcefully as Booker inspired philanthropists. The Booker-Christie-Zuckerberg strategy was doomed, he said, since it included no systemic assault on poverty. He told his students that Christie needed them to fail so that he could close Central High and turn it over to charters. “Co-location is more like colonization,” he said of placing charters in unused space inside district schools. Snip Without much fact-checking, CBS ran the story last October. But it turned out to be wrong — way wrong. Mr. Davies wasn’t there at all, didn’t see anything. In fact, he never mentioned any of the wild claims from his book when the FBI interviewed him.
Still, Ms. Logan wasn’t fired, she was put on indefinite leave, as was a producer. And the magazine piece ends by saying, “Lara Logan may, or may not, return in the fall season” and that “a well-placed source at CBS suggests that [network president Les Moonves] has soured on Logan.”
So a reporter failed at her core job — to gather facts, triple-check them, report the truth — and disappeared. Why the story?
Because the Left doesn’t want her to come back. She was, and is, unabashedly pro-military. But more, she’s toxic — at least to the liberal media. She said in October 2012, just as President Obama was seeking to sweep Benghazi under the rug during the run-up to the November election, that the administration was telling a “major lie” in claiming al Qaeda and the Taliban had been weakened.
“In your arrogance, you think you write the script,” she said of the president.
Media Matters responded to the magazine piece with an article titled “CBS Still Won’t Come Clean About Lara Logan And The Benghazi Debacle.”
“What the feature also does is remind us that, despite these internal critiques, CBS still refuses to be fully transparent about the controversy and the malpractice that was in play,” the website wrote.

  60. Run Hillary Run:

Although the gap has narrowed a few points in some cases, Hillary still beats every potential GOP candidate!

No doubt Obama, Biden, Kooks, MSM and other anti-Clinton forces will be inspired to ratchet up the backstabbing. And, the Pubs will repeat the words Hillary and Benghazi in the same sentence even more times per minute – if that’s even possible. As Admin has said in fighting for Hillary, we will have to fight the Republicans and the ObamaDims. They may have different battle plans, but they are equally adversarial.

At this point, we just have to prepare for this reality and say -Bring It!

Hold’em it’s rather a surprise that Logan didn’t get the shaft even before the Benghazi report, given her willingness to call it like it is on Obama.

“Survey: Clinton leads GOP in Ohio”

    By Mario Trujillo

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton outperforms every potential GOP candidate for president in the battleground state of Ohio — but a new poll shows the state’s governor, John Kasich (R), comes closest to narrowing the gap.

A Quinnipiac poll released Thursday found Clinton held a 47 percent to 42 percent gap over the Ohio governor in a potential head-to-head matchup for the state’s 18 Electoral College votes in 2016.

That 5-point gap narrowed from Clinton’s 11-point lead when the firm last polled the question in February.
Clinton, who holds a 53 percent favorable rating in the state, outperforms all other potential GOP candidates listed by anywhere between 7 percent to 14 percent.

She leads Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (47 percent to 40 percent), Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan (48 percent to 41 percent), former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (49 percent to 41 percent), Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (49 percent to 41 percent) New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (46 percent to 38 percent), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (48 percent to 39 percent), and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (51 percent to 37 percent).

  62. There is a simple solution to this problem: hold these bureaucrats civilly liable for this kind of abuse, and compel them to spend their own money to defend themselves if there is probable cause to believe that the withholding of material information was arbitrary and capricious based on the record as a whole. Put differently, nail ’em.

Federal agencies such as HHS and the State Department spend your tax dollars in their efforts to withhold public information that’s requested under FOI law. And when the agencies lose their cases in court, they may be ordered to reimburse groups like Judicial Watch for legal fees. The federal agencies use your tax dollars for that, too.

In other words: for the government, there’s no downside to flouting FOI law. At the very least, the feds manage to delay the release of potentially damaging information. At most, they may have to eventually produce the withheld material and pay legal fees—but they pay with your tax dollars.
There is a simple, straightforward solution to this problem: hold these bureaucrats civilly liable for this kind of abuse, and compel them to spend their own money to defend themselves if there is probable cause to believe that the withholding of material information was arbitrary and capricious based on the record as a whole.

    Put differently, nail ’em.

Of course, you will still have those whores on the bench who were appointed by Obama who will twist the law to save his ass. To that I say this: make ’em do it. And let the world see that they are not judges, but partisan hacks in black robes.

I can imagine these upper middle class professional and the idle rich who voted for Obam savoring expensive wine and conjuring up excuses on why their messiah has not delivered. This would include people I know who are connected to Wall Street who defiantly proclaim that they quit the Republican Party and voted for Obama because their former party nominated Sarah Palin. That is not to say they are altogether proud of who they got in return for Vice President, namely a broken down drunk named Biden who is an embarrassment to this nation, and on policy matters is almost always 180 out. No, strike that–whenever a lefty throws Sarah in your face, cut off their head shit down their neck and say, oh…. and what about Jolt’n Joe Biden you asshole. We would have been far better off with Sarah. McCain however is a different story. It is hard to imagine he would have been as bad as Obama. What is hard to imagine is that he would have been all that much better. In the meantime, I have finally managed to figure out why these to the manor born assholes reacted the way they did to Sarah, which made them seem almost delusional. The reason is this. These were establishment Republicans who are used to having things their way and benefit handsomely from the uber corrupt status quo. Sarah told them “the party’s over. I did not come to accept the nomination so I could come here and pay homage to Washington. I am here to represent the people you and your ilk are screwing, namely the American People. You, in other words, are the problem. You will hear more of this in the future, as the few profit at the expense of the many. This is why 2/3 of the public say if there was a third party candidate who could win they would vote for him or her.

  64. but a new poll shows the state’s governor, John Kasich (R),
As I have said before. This guy is one Republican–other than Cruz who I see as politically viable. Especially, if we are back in a recession. You look at the others, i.e. Bush (dynasty), Rubio (a Bush asset), Paul (be nice to minorities, throw out voter id, and amnesty to all), and it is easy to just shake your head. These decisions are made by Washington DC consultants paid for by money men, who have no idea what the American People are really thinking. The polls are not informative.

  66. Boehner To Drink Political Cyanaide

Right now, the country is dealing with a number of issues that are hurting the Democratic Party, including high taxes, Obamacare, the stagnant economy and a lack of job growth in America.

Should Republicans position themselves accordingly, they’d likely secure major victories in the 2014 mid-term elections.

Unfortunately, the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, is too busy catering to the business elite to capitalize on this incredible opportunity, and his single-minded approach could result in some tragic electoral defeats.

A Plan That Hurts the Middle Class

Consider this: America’s business elite represent less than 2% of the population, so by themselves, they can’t sway an election. On top of that, they don’t advocate policies that’ll win large blocks of voters.

Yet the Republicans on Capitol Hill are under a mystical trance, carrying the big business legislative agenda forward at seemingly any cost.

Take immigration reform, for example. Opening the immigration floodgates is at the top of the Chamber of Commerce’s agenda.

POLITICO Magazine recently reported that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce President, Tom Donohue, said, “The GOP shouldn’t even field a presidential candidate in 2016 unless Congress passes immigration reform this year.”

And the National Association of Manufacturers President, Jay Timmons, said he “also thought immigration reform could pass this year, perhaps in a lame-duck session.” Timmons called immigration reform a “unified position of the business community.”

So it’s no surprise that John Boehner is in lockstep with these two and is pushing for increased immigration, despite polling data that says the political outcome will be similar to drinking cyanide.

Meanwhile, the push for increased immigration has some seriously harmful impacts on middle-income families. American firms continue to cut payrolls, lay off workers and hold down pay increases while they push for immigrants to come and compete with current workers.

Businesses always use the throwaway line, “Americans won’t do these jobs anyway.” But this lie is laid bare by Facebook (FB), Microsoft (MSFT), Apple (AAPL) and other high-tech firms that would like to import software developers from India and other low-wage countries. As the flood of legal and illegal immigrants reaches our shores, Americans continue to suffer wage stagnation.

One of the few opponents of the immigration plan is Alabama Republican Jeff Sessions. His spokesman, Stephen Miller, told POLITICO Magazine that immigration reform “would also triple the admission of largely lower-skilled, permanent immigrants over the next decade – from 10 million to 30 million. Immigration reform should mean putting unemployed Americans back to work, not replacing them at a lower cost.”

    The Grand Old (Misguided) Party

Unfortunately, immigration reform isn’t the only issue on which Republicans are carrying water for big business.

If the party wants to reconnect with the middle class, it could do so by rejecting crony capitalism, getting rid of the Export-Import Bank and eliminating the subsidies to dubious “green energy” businesses. The federal budget has too many dollars that are misdirected to Corporate America.

On top of that, Republicans need to push initiatives to fire up job creation for middle-income workers. Open up oil fracking opportunities on federal land, force the Keystone Pipeline through the bureaucratic morass of the Obama stonewalls, cut taxes on smaller businesses that are creating jobs and repeal Obamacare.

These actions – as opposed to pushing for immigration reform – would allow Republicans to win some crucial races come Election Day.

    Your eyes on the Hill,

    Floyd Brown

I am shocked, shocked to see bread and circuses from corporate owned and controlled media. The ignorant half of the electorate WILL never see past the narrative, to the real agenda at work here. They are like the mass man example offered by the Spanish intellectual of early 20th century Jose Ortega in his classic book “The Revolt of the Masses”: when the mass man is starving, he has one single solution, one objective, one essential purpose which he pursues with reckless abandon: burn down the bread factory”, with hacks like Schumer posing for a photo op egging them on. They would be better served to burn Schumer at stake, because he is undoubtedly a male witch.

Here is what happens when Republicans exhibit an insouciant attitude towards the administration’s appalling and dangerous open borders policies:

36,000 murderers, rapists, and kidnappers are let out of jail in 2013.

Obama unilaterally suspends deportations and changes visa laws. He also openly refers to immigration enforcement as “not smart.” This, as our visa screening system has already failed to root out terror threats.

Meanwhile, the vocal bipartisan consensus to erase our borders engenders a new surge in illegal immigration from Central American countries and even from Mexico.

Many of us have our pet peeve issues that we feel are not being addressed by those who claim to represent conservatives in Washington. But it is fairly safe to say that no issue reaches the magnitude of this one in terms of the immanency of the problem. While Republicans negotiate with themselves over the non-sequitur and non-pressing issue of what to do with those here illegally for a long time, they are telegraphing the message to Obama that whatever he does to shred the Constitution and engender a new wave of illegals is just cool.

Put simply, the silence on the part of Republicans, and even some prominent conservatives, is appalling.

Letting out thousands of dangerous aliens and creating a new wave of illegal migration is more of an imminent and ongoing problem that will affect the security, fiscal stability, and social fabric of this country in a more deleterious way than the Benghazi scandal. Not to diminish the importance of investigating that scandal, but if Benghazi warranted a select committee, Obama’s dangerous open borders policies and belligerent abuse of power should spawn a full-scale funding battle for those executive agencies responsible for these dastardly illegal acts. As passionately as many of us felt about using the power of the purse vested in the House to fight Obamacare and the debt, those issues look relatively small as compared to the brush fire at our borders.

It is sickening to hear one Republican or phony conservative after another not only ignore the 10-alarm fire at our border and actually refer to Obama’s pyromania as “immigration reform.” We are the true advocates of immigration reform; our opponents are the ones who want to exacerbate everything that is broken with the system. It is unforgivable for Republicans to wink and nod and even give aid and comfort to those who are endangering the country and erasing our sovereignty.

Just this morning, Senator Reid and Schumer took to the Senate floor to push for amnesty. As we’ve learned from the past, there is no better coordination in Washington than the kabuki theater choreographed by Schumer and Republican supporters of open borders. They are timing this effort in conjunction with Obama’s new illegal acts, Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue’s remarks, Grover Norquist’s announcement of a weekly open borders call with the media, and Sal Russo’s op-ed cheering on Obama’s malfeasance.

Much like any other policy debate, reasonable people can disagree over what to do with those here in the long run or the level of legal immigration and guest workers. But for Republicans to cheer on Obama while he violates the Constitution, breaks our borders, engenders a new increase in illegal immigration, and releases criminal aliens onto the streets is beneath contempt.

  69. What comes around goes around. In a union environment, with the exception of new hires, including those in an apprentice program, everyone gets paid the same wage regardless of qualifications. However, that principle has never been accepted in management ranks, except for government. But now, Abrams, a remittance woman from Wall Street invokes the practical equivalent of union scale, when she compares her multi million dollar annual salary to that of Bill Kelleher her predecessor in that job who spent far more years in the trade. And even though Keller is a 14 carrot asshole he was more qualified than she is/was, but she demanded parity–a few more million in her purse. The only part of this story which is not altogether sickening, is the way top management found her to be “pushy” which is the term that the holier than thou leftist use to define an ambitious woman, while they dare not say that a equally ambitious black man is “uppity”, and condemn those who say so as racists. This point to the uneasy comparison between blacks and women as protected classes under the 1964 civil rights act, which is not well understood. In fact, southern democrats saw this as a second act of the Reconstruction and argued against it bitterly. In the end, they thought the could scuttle the whole idea, by including women as well as blacks into its terms. And then, to their amazement, the damned thing passed. History is not a straight line progression.

Katie Pavich has a good article on some of this:

  70. Clarification: in a union environment, everyone is paid the same wage FOR THAT CLASSIFICATION, regardless of skill, ability and output. (Piece work once common in the needle and loom trades has been eliminated).

  71. foxy, it was worth the wait. 🙂

wbb, I saw an article early this morning about the Pub’s plan to get immigration reform passed after they took over the Senate. They have diminished their chances of doing so IMHO. If they think Hispanics who are dedicated to the Dem Party because of reform (although Dems don’t usually get that many more Hispanic votes than Dems) will switch over and vote Republican because they plan to work on reform in the future, they seriously need new consultants.

Their sole objective is to satisfy their big business contributors.

But politically, as far as their base is concerned, amnesty is a poison pill.

Obama hate and Hillary hate cannot breach that gap.

It will however accelerate the pressure for a third party.

While Rove, the man villain of the piece, whistles past the graveyard with delusional statements like the Republican party is pulling together for 2014 and 2016.

He is as right about that has he was sure of a Romney victory in 2012. And he does not read the blogs that I read. His assessment is counter intuitive.

    Another scandal and coverup?

…the big elephant in the room…VA scandal gives one alot of confidence in Ocare taking over the entire US health care system…

…with similiar “incentives” to reduce ‘care’ in the name of “preventive care” and rewarding doctors and insurance for ‘reducing’ ‘care’

…on top of all the other issues we have all discussed over and over again…can’t keep your own doctor, limited availability of hospitals, terrible rural health care accessability…on and on…

what a freaking mess…and i see Bill being quoted as saying ‘don’t run away from Ocare’…big help…

so much of what is going on with O at the helm is one big scam…

VA administrators dummy up lists to prevent Vets from actually getting health care to make themselves look good so they can collect taxpayer paid bonuses for the “great job” the are doing

IRS get taxpayer bonuses when they don’t even pay their own taxes and there is massive identity theft and fraud under their watch; along with scandal harassing GOP

O admin gives big taxpayer paid deals to non American companies that pay their employess with our money to do nothing

Multi million American taxpayer dollars go to Ocare state health exchanges that are ueseless and more taxpayer money will need to be thrown away on them…this week alone in the news that half a BILLION dollars has been spent on 4 state exchanges that are useless and they have to start all over again

on and on and on and on…the worst managed Administration in the history of the Presidency…one big fraud from start to go…

Another “Bush Problem” solved by The Great Obama. Oh sure, it happened on his watch, but it never would have happened in the first place if Bush and his predecessors back to Grover Cleveland had not made such a mess of things. Their intent in leaving this mess was to embarrass and scapegoat our first black president. Don’t take my word for it however. Just ask Jeanne Garafulo, the Hollywood establishment if they are not too busy boycotting the Sultan of Brueni. No kidding, they are working their fingers to the bone on that one, to work up a good healthy appetite so they can dine in that hotel, because they like his chef. Not to sound churlish, but any commitment they make to anything must always yield to their hedonistic appetites and their pension for fame, fortune and selfies.

  75. Obama’s third term will be another exercise in pretending to be president. Harvey Weintein is producing a new movie starring the Messiah himself entitled:

“The New Heaven and New Earth I Promised and Would Have Delivered If Those Evil Republicans, White People, Tea Party, and FOX News Had Fought Me At Every Turn”

(Or, I Could Have Been A Contenda)

Flash: So great is their love for Obama that even before this movie has been produced NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN have called it The Greatest (lie) Story Ever Told.

  76. If we learned nothing else from the debacle of Obama, it is this:

A president must be more than a sock puppet.

  77. If you lie, and then lie again, and again, again and again, does that warrant the response we hear when a black racist like Clyburn says that an African American named Tim Scott does not vote his race. That statement reveals far more about Clyburn than it does about Scott. It tells us that he, Clyburn, is a dyed in the wool racist, and that he sees everything through a racial prism. If we decided to universalize that principle then white people should condemn every white man who does not vote his race, and we could turn back the clock. What the statement does not reveal about Clyburn, the minority whip, is that in addition to being a racist, he is no stranger to corruption, and has given no bid projects funded by federal money to his relatives. In sum, Jim Clyburn is by all accounts a man of low moral character. That being the case, only a fool would credit the things he says. He is a political version of typhoid Mary, and has no respect for this nation.

  78. Valerie Jarrett: ‘We Have a Commitment’ from Boehner on Amnesty This Year

President Barack Obama’s top adviser and confidant told a group of global elites on Thursday in Las Vegas, Nevada that House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has made a commitment to the White House to try to pass amnesty legislation this year.
    See what I mean . . .

  79. If amnesty passes, then it will show that contrary to their claimed support for the middle class, the Republicans and Democrats are both committed to destroying it. And all their claims that we must cast the regulatory shackles so businesses can create jobs, really means we should cast off those shackles so big businesses can increase their bottom line, and create a have and have not society.

Truth in advertising decrees that Republicans should stop harping about the general welfare and talk about the welfare of their contributors when they campaign. Any claim that establishment republicans believe in the constitution, and support the middle class is simply the big lie.

From the standpoint of conservatives, it is mindless to support a party like this who lies to them. They should stay home in November and begin thinking about forming a third party. The two existing parties are too corrupt to be rehabilitated. Thinking people who care about the country need to walk away from both of them in perpetuity. The only alternative is to stay where they are and get screwed.

  81. The Democratic Party is on the side of the American People and will protect them from the predations of big business. Right?

Then how do we explain the fact that the Democratic Party is against net neutrality and in favor of a fast lane for big business?

Yup, the rubes still believe that Obama and his fellow travelers are committed to the general welfare, when in truth the they talk about it when they campaign, but serve their contributors when they govern.

Ultimately, the survival of the middle class will depend upon the creation of a viable third party.

  82. This Jessica Rosenworchel is another example of a pliable young person lacking in sophistication or knowledge of the world who is put into a key position as head of the FCC to do the bidding of Obama. And today, the competition between the two parties has nothing whatsoever to do with serving the American People. Nothing. It is nothing more than competition for contributors. Rosenworchel the tool is there to make sure that companies like Verizon contribute to Democrats as opposed to Republicans. That is the dynamic that drives politics–thanks in no small part to the campaign finance reform rules developed by the oddest of odd couples—McCain and Soros. The abolition of net neutrality creates an entry barrier for small competitors, and puts big business in a position where they can raise prices on consumers with impunity, while the 50% of the electorate who still support Obama sit there with vacuous looks, respond only to political slogans and stunts, and chew their cud. To call this political system dysfunctional would be an understatement.

  88. Here is a prime example of what I am talking about, namely someone appointed to the bench by Barack Hussein Obama, who then proceeds to render decisions which protect the man who appointed her from accountability for the high crimes and misdemeanors which he committed as president. Quid pro quo. It is not unlikely that he will use this decision to resist compliance with subpoenas issued by the House Select Committee relative to Benghazi. This politically inspired decision by a Harvard educated fool whose personal debt to Obama exceeds her commitment to the law took an oath to enforce. Simply put, it must now be overturned by the Supreme Coutt to clear the path for the Benghazi investigation which the country sorely needs at this point. The message to this judge should be short and sweet: government corruption should not be covered up. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Electric light the best policeman.
