#BostonBombing #Watertown Dragnet Update: One Dead Killer, One Killer At Large

Well, to hell with our planned birthday party to commemorate our first post on April 19, 2007. —

Update VIII: Shots fired. “Suspect is down, suspect is down.” Blood on a boat.

—————————————————————-

Update VII: The many twists and turns have turned into many more twists and turns. But soon this particular chase will be over. Evening thread: Cops continue to hunt Tsarnaev. Unless he’s bled in some hovel the terrorist killer will soon be caught or killed. Boston is running transit again and lifted the curfew.

Once this particular drama is over the real explosions will begin. David Sirota and Chris Matthews who so wanted a “white American” male to be the killer will have to be held to account. The attempts to blame “white supremacists” or Nazis or the Tea Party or something has failed:

“Several posts on what is believed to be the Twitter profile of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev indicate that that the 19-year-old Chechnyan immigrant was a supporter of Barack Obama in the 2012 presidential election. [snip]

Besides making an apparent joke at the expense of the victims who were killed in the blast (“Lol those people are cooked”), blogger Bob Owens discovered that the owner of the account made clear his political preferences as he celebrated the reelection of President Obama on November 6th.

This week has been bad – the worst is yet to come.

—————————————————————-

Update VI: One Boston Marathon suspect dead, Boston on lockdown, and suspects identified are not the names discussed all throughout the night.

AP and Pete Williams say the killers are brothers from Chechnya. The one at large is called Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19 years old. They are/were permanent legal residents living in the U.S. for a year. This more than likely kills immigration “reform” because their will now be so many questions to prevent this from happening again the Gang of Eight will never be able to answer them.

—————————————————————-

Update V: It might be worse for white rabbit David Sirota and Chris Matthews if this NBC report is correct that killer #2 is not Sunil Tripathi but rather people “from overseas” with military training:

NBC News reported Friday morning that a missing Brown University student — the subject of intense speculation on social media — is not in fact a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

“Authorities say these people came from overseas… had overseas military training [and have] been here about a year,” NBC’s Pete Williams — the most reliable source through a chaotic week in Boston — reported Friday, citing multiple sources.

“There’s been a lot of speculation that one of these suspects is a student that went missing from Brown,” Williams said, dismissing the speculation.

That speculation reached a fever pitch when police officers mentioned 22-year-old Sunil Tripathi and another man on the police scanner in the early hours of Friday morning. His name had surfaced on Reddit Thursday night.

—————————————————————

Update IV: We changed our headline. One killer was caught but now he is dead so the new headline reflects that. And the other killer is at large. Shootout witness video:

—————————————————————-

Update III: The world is waking up to more horror in Massachusetts. We’ve been on the job as you can see from below. There’s also plenty of information and videos in the comments. Dead is suspect #1 who is called Mike Mulugeta – after a shootout and bombs thrown at police. The second suspect who likes racist Che Guevera t-shirts is called Sunil Tripathi
is still at large and dangerous
. One cop has been killed and another severely injured.

—————————————————————-

Update II: Watertown Police in a press conference confirm Boston Killer Suspect #1 in custody – KILLED after a firefight and thrown explosives. Suspect #2 at large and dangerous.

Will Barack Obama call Watertown Police stupid like he did to the Cambridge Police?

—————————————————————-

Update I: Ace of Spades has lots more. Go there for the full bounty of their work:

“I’m hearing that the Scanner has confirmed that White Hat was indeed Sumil Tripathi, a Brown student who walked away from his life last month and disappeared.”

Some background on Sumil Tripathi who is pictured Ace wearing a Che T-shirt:

“The FBI has joined a search for 22-year-old Indian-American Sunil Tripathi , an undergraduate Brown University student who went missing on March 16. [snip]

According to the Facebook Page set up by family, Tripathi who went missing from his Angell Street residence since Saturday morning is 6’0, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and short brown hair. “Sunil has been struggling with depression since he took a leave of absence from Brown last year. A note suggestive of suicidal intent left behind has his family extremely worried ,” the family said.”

Now (3:45 a.m. EDT) police are warning Watertown residents not to answer their doors and keep away from windows.

—————————————————————-

Boston Globe reports at about 2:30 in the morning that one suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing has been caught:

One Marathon bombing suspect has been caught, and another is on the loose in Watertown after a firefight with police, officials said.

Now, at 3:00 a.m. EDT a second suspect is under arrest and in the custody of the FBI. [Note, new reports state that suspect #2 is not under arrest.] As we listened to CNN’s eyewitness report by cameraman Gabe Ramirez (which has not been repeated since) the naked suspect has been described as “middle eastern”. Having seen the video of the naked man’s arrest that does seem to be a fair assessment.

Earlier the FBI released two new face front photos of the suspects which can be viewed HERE.

It’s going to be an update kind of day. Here are the updates from our previous article to help you catch up on this morning’s wildness:

Update IV: Explosions, gunfire, continue in Watertown. One suspect arrested. Police told him to take off ALL his clothes before coming near them. We’ll post a link to the brand new FBI pictures we discussed in earlier update ASAP.

Watertown:

“Authorities say a campus police officer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has died from injuries in a shooting on the campus outside Boston. [snip]

CBS Boston station WBZ reports a pursuit and shootout in nearby Watertown early Friday morning. [snip]

WBZ says the officer was found with multiple gunshot wounds. [snip]

According to WBZ, at about 1 a.m. Friday, officers from several agencies were involved in a pursuit into Watertown. It is unknown if it was connected to the shooting at MIT. A WBZ employee on the scene says one person has been taken into custody in Watertown, apparently in connection with the activity there.

A witness says he heard explosions and gunshots before the suspect was apprehended. WBZ-TV’s Lauren Leamanczyk reports that the National Guard is at the scene in Watertown.

Another suspect is reported to be at large.”

The suspect is still naked and under FBI interrogation. Pictures of him have been taken by FBI.

BREAKING: Now another suspect is under arrest. More soon.

—————————————————————-

Update III: It’s 2:30 a.m. in the morning. New Photos of the suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing have been released by the FBI.

PLUS: A cop shot at MIT. A person has been arrested in Watertown in connection with the dead police officer. The FBI is involved. FBI rarely if ever gets involved in local crime. One person is in custody. Another person is being hunted down.

No one knows if this is the Boston Marathon Bombers but it just might be. Something very big, huge, is happening and this could be it:

“WATERTOWN, Mass. (AP) — Police have converged on a neighborhood outside Boston where there were reports of explosives being detonated and police are telling reporters to turn off their cell phones.

Dozens of officers and National Guard members are in Watertown, where television outlets report that gunfire and explosions have been heard. A helicopter is circling overhead.

Authorities early Friday were calling for somebody to get on the ground and put their hands up and a loud thud was heard after someone shouted “fire in the hole.”

Reporters are being told to move away from the scene. A police officer told a reporter: “If you want to live, turn off your cell phone.”

Earlier Thursday night a campus police officer was shot and killed at MIT and authorities were searching for the person responsible.”

  1. What a way to celebrate a birthday! We were going to discuss Donna Brazile Nuts but now the Boston Marathon Bombers will take her place.

Wake up everybody! How dare you sleep! 🙂

Don’t worry Big Pink is on the job. McNorman is up and on the job too.

  2. I am up with you. I hsve been making phone calls to friends that are working tonight, trying to refrain from calling others. I am sooo pumped. I wish I was there with an opportunity to take one of them down.

    What a birthday present!

  4. your right! Too excited for my own good.

WASHINGTON: The FBI has joined a search for 22-year-old Indian-American Sunil Tripathi , an undergraduate Brown University student who went missing on March 16

Lots of Muslims in India, just saying….

  5. I think maybe more than two suspects? Clearly the cops are putting someone in the car, not ambulance, and he is quite dark.

    Pics on ACE

  6. https://twitter.com/AKitz

This guy is taking pics from his house, it was happening in front of it. Link on ACE. Really good pic of one of the murderers in the street with his notorious backpack, which I will never look at the same by the way…

  7. As the Twitter acct says Admin, wearing the uniform of all rich-kid-Marxist Revolutionaries.

Little do they know, Che thought very little of Blacks and other non Latino minorities. Very racist.

  8. JtJames, we’re on the job. It’s odd that we can listen to the police scanner in Boston! We put the links up earlier. GonzoTx has picture link posted.

  9. There def must be more than 2, they made one guy undress, completely nude, before they let him come forward and arrest him.

Unless, of course, something happened in the car…just saying

Police just said, def terrorists, “They have come here to do damage”

  11. Apparently it all started at a 7/11. The off duty cop, or working as security, spotted them when they drove up and he was killed apparently trying to apprehend them.

  12. Answer to your question Admin, obama will find a way to not only call them stupid, but make it all about him.

  13. If these two in the pics were the bombers and were involved in tonight’s events, they’re hardcore, not just a couple of young punks.

    Carjacking a police vehicle
    Car chases
    Shootouts

These aren’t the actions of your typical angry OWS asshole who might be willing to anonymously bomb a crowd.
    ****************

    I agree

  14. Naked guy was apparently not part of this mess just at the wrong place, wrong time. Thanks GonzoTx for the Mulugeta ID.

  15. From ACE…I thought it well worth the space…going to bed myself. Thanks Admin.

By the way, the nude guy, they are not saying…

ONE MARATHON BOMBER DEAD, THE OTHER ON THE RUN
    —Ace

    This is a fresh thread.

Before I go to sleep, I’ll sum up what I know.

Sumil Tripathi left his life at Brown University a month ago and disappeared. He seemed suicidal.

There were explosives set off nearby Brown, in the woods I think, in the weeks thereafter, but the explosives were never found, and nor were the bombers. It now appears to be (though this is technically speculation) that Sumil and possibly his buddy (may he rot forever in hell) were setting off test bombs in the woods.

Mike Mugeleti (Black Hat) was critically injured in the shootout and died at some point during his medical treatment.

Sumil (White Hat) is currently on the run. There is a massive, massive manhunt in the Watertown area now. By the time you read this, he may be captured. Or, I think, he’ll be found dead by his own hand, because he’s a coward, and he’ll join his murder-friend in hell.

As you can see, he’s a tea partier, just as Chris Matthews and NPR said he would be. NPR said he would be a rightwinger who celebrates Hitler’s birthday as most rightwingers do, and so you can see him below, wearing his Hitler Birthday T-shirt.

Police are currently attempting to draw him out of his hiding place by playing Brad Paisely music over their speakers. They have also constructed an elaborate snare-trap, baited with ribs, high-end fishing equipment, and Bibles.

In case the situation should escalate, they’ve deputized a civilian to act as a Hostage Crisis Negotiator. That civilian? You guessed it, Jeff Foxworthy.

Obviously we’re going to have to have a national conversation, lecturing one side about their celebration of and propensity for political violence. But alas it will not be the side which makes unrepentant terrorist murders university professors, nor the side which celebrates Che Guevera and Yasser Arafat and even the German leftwing terrorist group Baader-Meinhof. (Margaret Cho declared herself a fan of the female terrorist in that partnership — and no, I’m not kidding.)

And the conversation will not be directed at the side that keeps producing terrorists and murderers.

No, it will be directed at us.

Of course. As it always is.

  16. Bares repeating…

  17. GonzoTx, The Mulgeta picture on twitter is nothing like the FBI pictures. Maybe it is an avatar. There is a twitter handle for MikeMulugeta2 with a picture that resembles the FBI picture. We retweeted to make it easier to find.

  18. Apparently there were c/o bombs going off in the woods near Brown University the past month, but they could never find the culprits. I think we know now…

  19. I know, much darker, very thin, I hope it is the right person.

Possibly too quick to post without another source.

    Poor kid if wrong

  20. Daily Mail has lots of coverage:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2311443/Boston-marathon-bombing-suspect-killed-shoot-Police-officer-shot-dead-second-terrorist-run-car-chase.html

One of the Boston bombing suspects is dead and the second is on the loose and said to be ‘armed and dangerous’ after a dramatic shootout in the suburbs of the city.

The terrorist, dubbed ‘Suspect 1’ by the FBI, died in hospital after explosions and machine gun fire rocked the Watertown area hours after a police officer was shot dead at the nearby MIT campus.

Police warned the other, named ‘Suspect 2’, who was seen on CCTV wearing a white baseball cap was now on the run, adding: ‘There is a terrorist on the loose who wants to kill people – do not open your door’.

Boston Police Chief Ed Davis tweeted: ‘One suspect dead. One at large. Armed and dangerous. White hat suspect at large.’

Boston descended into chaos on Friday morning as police dramatically held a suspect at gunpoint after multiple shots and explosions were heard in the suburb of Watertown.

The drama unfolded hours after the FBI released images of two men named as suspects in the deadly Boston marathon attacks and the Boston Globe has said the two men involved in this evenings shoot-out are those same men.

Police screamed at reporters on the scene to turn off phones ‘if they want to live’ as they hunted for the suspects – fearful that improvised explosives could be remotely detonated.

Dozens of police officers, FBI agents, national guard, K-9 units and SWAT teams rushed to Watertown after midnight after a reported car chase involving the two suspects in a black 2013 Mercedes.

According to eyewitness reports, two men believed to be in their early twenties engaged in a furious gun fight with dozens of police on a backstreet of Watertown.

Andrew Kitzenburg spoke to the New York Times about the view he had from his third floor window as he saw two men in jackets shooting at at least 10 police from behind a black Mercedes SUV.

The gun battle was being waged 70 yards apart and Mr. Kitzenburg said that the two men and police were engaged in ‘constant gunfire’.

Suddenly a police SUV ‘drove towards the shooters’ and was fired upon until it was damaged and rolled to the side of the road, crashing into two cars in his driveway.

Dramatically, Mr. Kitzenburg said the two gunmen then threw a large bomb, ‘They lit it, still in the middle of the gunfire, and threw it. But it went 20 yards at most.

The unknown device did explode and at that point, one of the men ran towards the gathered police officers and was tackled – it is not clear from Mr. Kitzenburg if he was shot or not.

Then suddenly, the other man returned to his SUV and drove towards police officers and ‘put pedal to the metal’.

The car ‘went right through the cops, broke right through and continued west.’

Mr Kitzenburg said that the two men had left backpacks by the car and that a police bomb robot was currently dealing with the devices.

Police have told all residents to remain in their homes while they clear the area.

  21. Interesting, the expert said, regarding the disappearance of Tripathi

“You leave behind your your things when you are stepping out to talk to someone or your not coming back”

    That was a month ago

  23. What have you hears Admin about the second guy NOT being Tripathi?

Some “sources” are saying this and that they are military trained from overseas.

    ?
NBC has FBI sources that say these guys are both from overseas. Arrived about a year ago. Have military training.

  24. Update III: The world is waking up to more horror in Massachusetts. We’ve been on the job as you can see from below. There’s also plenty of information and videos in the comments. 25. Jennifer Griffin said authorities believe there might be MORE people than just the two. (Just now on Fox.)

Also she reports explosives were military grade. The system worked!

Let in 3rd worlders to become radicalized on liberal campuses and they in turn murder Americans to keep them in fear and the democrat party in power.
    Viva la revolution!

Don’t know but they are not alone…

ONE MARATHON BOMBER DEAD, THE OTHER ON THE RUN
    Corrected: Not Sunil Tripathi?

  28. I’m following all this in complete amazement at the authorities running round in circles and how they never picked up on this…or did they? Still not sure what is fact or fiction yet.

  29. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/20/us/boston-marathon-bombings.html?partner=MYWAY&ei=5065&_r=1&

A Watertown resident, Andrew Kitzenberg, 29, said he looked out his third-floor window to see two young men of slight build in jackets engaged in “constant gunfire” with police officers. A police SUV “drove towards the shooters,” he said, and was shot at until it was severely damaged. It rolled out of control, Mr. Kitzenberg said, and crashed into two cars in his driveway.

The two shooters, he said, had a large, unwieldy bomb that he said looked “like a pressure cooker.”

“They lit it, still in the middle of the gunfire, and threw it. But it went 20 yards at most.” It exploded, he said, and one of the two men ran toward the gathered police officers. He was tackled, but it was not clear if he was shot, Mr. Kitzenberg said.

The explosions, said another resident, Loretta Kehayias, 65, “lit up the whole house. I screamed. I’ve never seen anything like this, never, never, never.”

  30. Boston is more or less on lockdown, businesses closed, everyone put indoors. Not sure that makes it any easier to find the guy. He’ll just hunker down somewhere.

  31. Well, since (if) they’re Muslim, Obama may have to walk back that whole “terrorist” thing. After all, Nidal Hassan was just an example of “work-place violence”. Then there was the attack on our Embassy in Libya which was apparently just a “spontaneous demonstration because of a YouTube video.”

I’m sure Obama can reclassify the Boston Marathon bombing casualties as “sports-related injuries”. We must always be mindful of the narrative.

    AMEN

  32. Oh i think its more than 2 definitely, i think these 2 are some of the monkeys and not the organ grinders.

  33. AP: Boston bomb suspects believed to be from Russian region near Chechnya, lived in U.S. for at least one year

    Seriously WTF.

  34. Well countries keep letting this half baked suppossed students in from dodgy areas………

So they saying its not this Sunil guy but 2 Chechnyans.

  35. BREAKING: AP: Surviving Boston bomb suspect identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.

  36. We’ll add to what we wrote when this story began: immigration “reform” is now more than in “trouble” it is more than likely dead. Chechnya or India or Middle East or Canada it won’t matter what their national sympathies or identities are.

  37. Same as i said about the UK, The US , it is time to close the borders to new immigrants until its sorted out and make it as strict as possible.

  38. BREAKING: AP: Surviving Boston bomb suspect identified as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19, of Cambridge, Mass.

  39. Note the deliberate wording…..already worried?

NBC: Both suspects were legal, permanent residents. 1 had legal drivers license.

Makes it worse…if you cant sort out the legal ones, what chance do you have with illegal ones.

  40. “In 2011, surviving Boston bomb suspect, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, was given
$2500 scholarship for college from city of Cambridge, MA.”

    From Skolnik.

  42. Wondering if Putin will get his reason to go in and finish Chechnya off now, been looking for a reason for years.

  43. MoonOnPluto, Putin is in a win/win. He can now get to go after Chechnya and the U.S. can’t do a thing to stop him. At the same time Putin can sit back and enjoy the fact he is having his problem exported to the U.S.

    http://www.cfr.org/terrorism/chechen-terrorism-russia-chechnya-separatist/p9181

    Who are the Chechens?

The Chechens are a largely Muslim ethnic group that has lived for centuries in the mountainous North Caucasus region. For the past two hundred years, Chechens have resisted Russian rule. During World War II, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin accused the Chechens of cooperating with the Nazis and forcibly deported the entire population to Kazakhstan and Siberia. Tens of thousands of Chechens died, and the survivors were allowed to return home only after Stalin’s death.

  44. Oh yeah Putin is probably ordering up the tanks right now ready. I have read up a lot on chechnyans in the last year, its another afghanistan…hard to beat them area….dangerous to the core and these lot know how to dish out brutality to non believers……..

  46. hmmmmm

Third man has been arrested. He’s being called an accomplice, not yet called a suspect, reports NPR’s Dina Temple-Raston.

  47. Obama will try to put on a happy face and take credit, but this is nothing but trouble for him:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2013/04/report-boston-bombings-suspects-abroad-90323.html?hp=t1_3

The two suspects in the Boston marathon bombing are brothers who may be from the Chechnyan region and have overseas military training, according to NBC and other reports on Friday morning.

“We believe that these individuals have international connections, that they’re foreign nationals,” the network’s Michael Isikoff said on MSNBC.

The network also reported the suspects are “legal permanent residents” who have been in the United States for about a year and that they were not students.

The reports, although preliminary, seem sure to raise questions for the Obama administration, both about how the brothers came to live in the United States for a year, apparently without drawing urgent prior notice from law enforcement officials and about whether there are any foreign policy implications of the attack.

“They believe that these two men came to the U.S. about a year ago and may have some overseas military experience,” NBC’s Pete Williams said. “We’re not positive where they came from. We don’t have positive identification on them.”

The men are “possibly from Turkey” or may have been Chechen refugees who wound up in Turkey, Williams said. “There’s a substantial Chehnyan community in Turkey. That appears to be the part of the world that they’re from,” Williams said.

The Associated Press is reporting Friday morning that the suspects are from a Russian region near Chechnya. [snip]

We believe this to be a terrorist,” Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis told reporters, according to the New York Times. “We believe this to be a man who’s come here to kill people. We need to get him in custody.”

The Boston Globe reported in 2011 that a Dzhokhar Tsarnev won a $2,500 college scholarship from the city of Cambridge. [snip]

The Council on Foreign Relations has reported that the “the Islamic International Peacekeeping Brigade (IIPB) is the primary channel for Islamic funding of the Chechen guerillas, in part through links to al-Qaeda-related financiers on the Arabian Peninsula.”

  48. Former CIA operative from Iran says, “The Iranian Regime is behind the Boston Marathon Bombings,” and predicts more attacks to come

The Muslim world both uses and abuses Barack Hussein Obama. While exploiting Obama’s support for jihadist regimes, they are also out to expose him as the weak, spineless leader we all know he is. Could the attacks in Boston, and perhaps the one in Texas, be only the beginning? Reza Kahlili has information you won’t hear anywhere else.

    http://www.barenakedislam.com/2013/04/18/former-cia-operative-from-iran-says-the-iranian-regime-is-behind-the-boston-marathon-bombings-and-predicts-more-attacks-to-come/

  49. All we need is someone who has a gun in their house to shoot this guy and all of America will arm themselves. This has been a crazy night and looks like it going to be an even longer day.

  50. The dead killer had a facebook type page:

    http://www.buzzfeed.com/chrisgeidner/what-we-know-about-boston-marathon-bomb-suspect-dzhokhar-tsa?sub=2157019_1090381

“Originally from Chechnya, but living in the United States since five years, Tamerlan says: ‘I don’t have a single American friend, I don’t understand them.'”

“Tamerlan says he doesn’t drink or smoke anymore: ‘God said no alcohol.’ A muslim, he says: “There are no values anymore,” and worries that ‘people can’t control themselves.'”

  51. Gee, I wonder why the jackhole couldn’t make friends? What, no one wanted to make bombs with him?

  52. Holy smokes, I took the evening off to watch tv on the internet and jump on the blog this morning and see Admin and the all-nighters have the blog on fire with news…I have a lot to read to find out what happened in my quasi-blissful absence.

  53. Foxy you are right. 6 years is an incredibly long time for a blog to sustain the success witnessed here. Hearty congratulations to all at Big Pink who have enabled this Hillary Haven to remain and flourish.Happy Birthday and a toast to 6 more.

  54. We’ll add to what we wrote when this story began: immigration “reform” is now more than in “trouble” it is more than likely dead. Chechnya or India or Middle East or Canada it won’t matter what their national sympathies or identities are.
    ———————-
The question for Rubio: what assurances can you give us, if any, that there are not people like this, terrorists on the arabian pensinsula or the drug cartel dole in the 18 million you want to legalize without first securing the borders. Big media is now trying to figure out how they can give all the credit on this apprehending these suspects dead or alive to Obama. White House operatives are now fitting him for a Batman Costume, savior of Gotham City, and the big media will serve up another Satan sandwich to Obamanation.

  55. 1. At CNN the speculation is “right wing” extremist groups:

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/matt-hadro/2013/04/15/cnn-analyst-suggests-right-wing-extremists-could-be-behind-boston-bombin#ixzz2QZGkklSH

    2. the killers are brothers from Chechnya. The one at large is called Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, 19 years old. They are/were permanent legal residents living in the U.S. for a year.

    3. this is yet another attempt by big media to scapegoat white people. This might be dismissed with the simple excuse that they were just speculating. But that will not suffice, given the clear and unequivocal pattern they have displayed, every time something like this happens–its always the same:

Media assumptions that violence is right-wing are routine – and routinely wrong.

On Friday morning, Brian Ross of ABC News speculated on live TV that James Holmes, the accused killer in Aurora, Colo., was a member of the Tea Party. A few hours later, Ross posted a short apology online; Holmes had no Tea Party connection. [snip]

    * September 2009: The discovery of hanged census-taker Bill Sparkman in rural Kentucky fueled media speculation that he’d been killed by anti-government Tea Partiers. In fact, he’d killed himself and staged his corpse to look like a homicide so his family could collect on life insurance.

    * February 2010: Joe Stack flew his small plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas. The media immediately suggested that the anti-tax rhetoric of the Tea Party led to the attack. In fact, Stack’s suicide note quoted the Communist Manifesto.

    * That same month, a professor at the University of Alabama, Amy Bishop, shot and killed three colleagues at a faculty meeting. The gun-loving Tea Party came under immediate suspicion. But Bishop was a lifelong Democrat and Obama donor.

    * March 2010: John Patrick Bedell shot two Pentagon security officers at close range. The media went wild with speculation that a right-wing extremist had reached the end of his rope. Bedell turned out to be a registered Democrat and 9/11 Truther.

    * May 2010: New York authorities disarmed a massive car bomb in Times Square. Mayor Bloomberg immediately speculated that the bomber was someone upset about the president’s new health-care law. The media trumpeted the idea that crazed conservatives had (again, they implied) turned to violence. In fact, the perp was Faisal Shahzad, an Islamic extremist.

    * August 2010: Amidst the debate over the Ground Zero Mosque, Michael Enright stabbed a Muslim cab driver in the neck. It was immediately dubbed an “anti-Muslim stabbing,” with “rising Islamophobia” on the political right to blame. In fact, Enright, a left-leaning art student, had worked with a firm that produced a pro-mosque statement.

    * September 2010: James Lee, 43, took three hostages at the Discovery Channel’s headquarters in Maryland. The media speculation was unstoppable: Lee was surely a “climate-change denier” who’d resorted to violence. Oops: He was an environmentalist who viewed humans as parasites on the Earth.

    * January 2011: Jared Lee Loughner went on a rampage in Tucson, Ariz. Again the media knew just who to blame: the Tea Party and its extremist rhetoric. In fact, Loughner was mostly apolitical – a conspiracy theorist who, to date, has been judged too mentally incompetent to stand trial.

The media’s habitual blaming of the political right is endemic and incurable. Media figures sincerely believe the right wing is violent, so naturally assume that violent people must be right-wing. This won’t be the last time they make that mistake.

    4. Why do they do this? To win the culture war, to woo hispanic audiences, and to pretend they are elitists and better than anyone else.

    5. One note of caution however: when they push this dark skinned white man stuff, so they can continue their quest to scapegoat white people, they risk offending their hispanic audience, many of whom fit that description.

  56. KISS IMMIGRATION REFORM, ALONG WITH GUN CONTROL, GOODBYE. All thanks to two despicable Chechen immigrants who decided it would be a swell idea to set off two bombs at the Boston Marathon. Too bad for the liberal meme. These guys were NOT TEA PARTY supporters. They were NOT REPUBLICANS. Nope. They were actually registered as DEMOCRATS. Oh yeah–they were (NOT CHRISTIANS, but) Muslims.–Larry Johnson

  57. Jeeze, after reading the blog and links I am totally confused. Are the bombers Indian or Russian. Four different names.

I think my head will be spinning around like Linda Blair’s on this update Friday.

No wonder the Feds didn’t want the media to speculate on what’s happening.

  58. Boston Jihadi Bombers members of Wahhabi cell funded by Saudi Al Qaeda

Two Chechen brothers from Dagestan, members of a Wahhabi cell funded by Saudi al Qaeda, were identified as the terrorists who detonated two bombs at the Boston Marathon last Monday and carried out a bombing-shooting spree at the MIT campus in Waterton outside Boston, Friday, April 19, in which a police officer was killed in a fiery firefight.

The media is criminally silent on this. Instead they are talking about what a “good, sweet boy” he is. Abominable.

Which would explain why Obama had an emergency meeting with the Saudi representative yesterday. If you think back to the primary, there was testimony that a member of the Saudi royal family wrote a letter to get Obama, a medicore student with a lackluster gpa into Harvard, which big media helped to cover up, just as they did his place of birth. Saudi Arabia has underwritten two academic chairs at Harvard, which suggests that the big Muslim push if coming from them. The gratuitous comment from the Saudi King about the Boston Marathon attack represents an attempt by the Royal family to separate themselves from it. I guess the point is the funding and possibly the training came from Saudi al Qaeda, and it is reasonable to assume that some of the King’s men are involved in that organization, whether or not with his permission. It is like the Pakistani Intelligence agency which is affiliated with the Taliban. In the middle east, everyone does business with everyone and money his the ultimate equalizer.

  60. Shadowfax, we did a play by play of what was going on as it was going on. Our postings paint an excellent picture of what was going on at the time, the confusion, the false leads, the full crazy as the story proceeded.

Last night in the comments McNorman and Gonzotx commented briefly, we commented briefly on what was going on at MIT and was assumed at the time had nothing to do with the Boston Bombers. We kept an eye on what was happening at MIT, stated MIT students would have the bomb making capacity, overall took the claim that this was not bombing related. Then all hell broke loose.

We began by breathlessly stating that something big was happening but we were not sure what. Then listening to police scanners from Boston, reading reports from the mostly quiet Internets, and watching Fox News and CNN (which we have not watched in years but we found Jake Tapper was on and he was doing an excellent job) we gave a play by play minute by minute “you are there” style.

As the story exploded we realized that our birthday bash (of Donna Brazile Nut) and walk down memory lane had to be postponed. A new article had to be written. The names of the suspects as the Internets knew them to be published. Correct leads and false leads – we published it all.

The assumption now, which is pretty much the official version until such time as that gets revised, is that these are Chechnyans. That’s an ominous development in the Global War On Terror.

Thanks to all for the birthday/anniversary good wishes. The cake for now is in the fridge.

Thanks to all for the birthday/anniversary good wishes. The cake for now is in the fridge.

Thanks for the summation and for working so hard on the night shift. Hope you helped yourself to plenty of the cake, a sugar rush helps you pull an all nighter.

  64. Admin: perhaps I was not clear. The reason I am talking about Saudi Arabian al Qaeda, while, by the latest account, the perps were/are Chechnian is this:

“Two Chechen brothers from Dagestan, members of a Wahhabi cell funded by Saudi al Qaeda, were identified as the terrorists who detonated two bombs at the Boston Marathon last Monday and carried out a bombing-shooting spree at the MIT campus in Waterton outside Boston, Friday, April 19, in which a police officer was killed in a fiery firefight.

  66. Twitter feed suggests Boston Marathon terrorist was an Obama supporter
    Written By: Bob – Apr• 19•13

Boston Marathon terrorist suspect Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev is still on the run, but his real Twitter feed @J_tsar has been discovered.

Most of it is the sort of superficial fluff you’d expect from someone his age, but he did make statements alluding to drug use, terrorist, and his political beliefs. Here are some supportive retweets he made in the wake of Barack Obama’s reelection.

    http://www.bob-owens.com/2013/04/twitter-feed-suggests-boston-marathon-terrorist-was-an-obama-supporter/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+BobOwens+%28Bob+Owens%29

If this is his twitter page, there is a gap in time during the bombs and little tweeted since then. The fact he was an Obama supporter doesn’t matter to me, but it might freak out Dear Leader.

  67. “dead bomber picture has surfaced on reedit, graphic!”

They opened his chest in the ER in an attempt to resuscitate him.

  68. The good uncle:

“Oh, I just wish they never existed. I’m wordless. I am wordless. I am wordless. Shocked.” “I’ve just been watching it. I’ve been reading it. People who did that they do not to deserve even existing on this earth. They do not deserve to exist on this earth. That’s what I think.”

“He started telling me about that he’s in Islam. I tell him, ‘Islam’s always been there. You just do your business. Work , go to school be useful, know why you came to America.’ And, I just said, and I’m sorry for my word… I said, ‘You prick.’”

“For people, listen, what can I say? Sympathy, condolences. That I’m with them! And, if some of them are ready to send their curses on me, I’m ready to accept it because I’m associated with these bastards (by blood). What else can I say? What else normal person can say?”

  69. JtJames hope you got some rest. Last we heard from you, you were at work on a phone reading Big Pink and other info on the internets.

Surgeon’s knife…if that bullet wound on the left upper abdomen was from a police AR, it made mush of his spleen, liver, etc. and he bled out. Open left chest, clamp aorta, compress heart and try to maintain blood flow to brain and heart while giving a shit load of IV fluids.

  71. slept with one eye open admin… back to work tonight at 11pm hopefully this will end soon. I’m wondering when they’ll bring chuck Norris in.. He would have finished this already.

Holy Frankenstein SHV, I had to go back and look at the photo again to see what you were explaining. Thanks for telling me the medical rundown, I have never seen an up close dead body like that and knowing the medical details makes it less frightening when the corpse is a murder.

  74. At least we don’t have to hear everyone blame this on a lone mentally ill person.

Big difference between mentally ill and a psychopath. Religious nuts are psychopaths too.

  75. The older brother, Tamerlane, left the USA for six months last year and spent the time in Russia. I will guarantee you that he was in the Chechen/Dagestan region and linked up with a training camp run by Muslim militants. Six months is enough time to learn how to be a competent, capable bomb builder.—Larry Johnson

  77. “Suspect may have been shot under a cover of a boat on someone’s land, and they will be sending in a robotic to make sure there isn’t a bomb there.”

  78. The killer is still alive, moving, but surrounded – according to Fox News sources.
    ————————–
The need to get him ALIVE. Dead men tell no tales. And it would be just like a trigger happy SWAT team to shoot first and ask questions later. I would give them non lethal bullets, and I would have negotiators ready. We need to know for sure who is behind this. Big media can persist in its right wing extremists delusion they are famous for because to them the culture war is more important than the truth–or saving lives. But for the rest of us, who want to know who is behind this, and how to prevent it in the future, they must be taken alive. Case in point: the Hillary supporter who was going to lead a challenge to Obama at the convention, who is killed on the eve of the convention by a black assailant who is then killed by Arkansas finest in a high speech chase. We need these perpetrators alive alive ohh, if we are going to reconstruct what happened and protect the country. Specifically, we need to know about the time he spent out of the country at an al Qaeda training camp financed by Saudi nationals. That is the key to this thing.

  79. And somebody is going to have to wake up and realize that the Saudi royal family is no good, and they play this country like a fiddle, right down to helping elect Mr Obama. If we ever get the truth about Benghazi, do not be surprised if the Saudis are not up to their neck in it, and on both sides. The reason they export terrorism is because they want it out of their country. But when the Royal family sits on billions and the average Saudi has nothing, it suggests the old paradigmen that you cannot have small oases of wealth surrounded by vast deserts of poverty without engendering storms in the desert which engulf those oases. There is no reason in the world that a nation as rich as Saudi Arabia cannot share that wealth with its people, and produce a society where life is decent and where their citizens can acquire and education and compete in the world, as all boats rise with the tide. Put differently, how many gold toilets does the Saudi Royal family need before they say maybe we should look to the bit picture long enough to realize it cannot go on this way. There is that line in War and Peace where one of the leading character, a Russian aristocrat named Pierre Buzukoff, turns to his companion and confesses a desire to free the serfs, not for their sake but to his. That flash of insight has never occurred to the Saudi Royal family, and we need to cut the umbilical chord with those jamokes, in my opinion.

  80. The other thing to worry about here is that this guy will take his own life. That is what a friend of mine is predicting will happen. If it does, then we may never figure out the truth here, and that is the problem. I suspect the FBI sees it that way. I am less sure the Boston Police do. At times like this, it is hard for them to control the adrenelin, unless their commanders give them very specific instructions. A city I am working with had an incident like this happen, where the cops shot and killed a mentally ill man, rather than waiting him out and using negotiators. They were sued and were forced to pay out millions. Here the information that will be lost if this guy is killed is much more costly to our society.

  81. Big media has set this thing up like the OJ-Franco Harris get away. Get out of the way and let the law enforcement people do their jobs. This is not a fox hunt. What is should be is an attempt to capture him alive and get the answers we need to protect the country.

  82. Admin> I have been out for several hours. I cannot tell you how glad I am to hear that. Relieved might be a better word.

  83. Police confirm officially, he is alive and in custody.

There is this recent development though:

BREAKING NEWS: Three people taken into custody in New Bedford as part of Boston Marathon terror bombing investigation.

    — The Boston Globe (@BostonGlobe) April 20, 2013

  84. I would not be surprised if this thing turned out to be an al Qaeda cell. If so, then the information will be compartmentalized. Well, we shall see.

  85. I cant keep up, its 2am here. Its like a really long episode of Without a Trace or CSI.

  86. Understanding the Chechen Link
By Larry Johnson on April 19, 2013 at 12:53 PM in Current Affairs

    (snip)

What are we to make of these two? Was this just a family thing? No. The older brother, Tamerlane, left the USA for six months last year and spent the time in Russia. I will guarantee you that he was in the Chechen/Dagestan region and linked up with a training camp run by Muslim militants. Six months is enough time to learn how to be a competent, capable bomb builder.

Did he return to the USA with specific direction to attack the Boston Marathon?

I don’t think so. I suspect Tamerlane and his brother were “recruited” and radicalized on line. I believe they have other supporters/enablers here (in the Boston area). But I do not believe they were directed by some higher authority to attack the Marathon. Instead, they were left on their own to plan and look for a target of opportunity.

The bombing of the Marathon was tactically sophisticated but strategically stupid. Carrying out the near simultaneous bombings and escaping the area in the immediate aftermath demonstrated solid training and preparation. But hitting that target was moronic. It is not the kind of act that will rally world sympathy for Chechen separatists. It will not inspire folks to look to Allah for salvation or mercy. It does the opposite. It unites a world that otherwise might not be too eager to cooperate or collaborate. Witness the recent exchanges between Moscow and Washington in the wake of the bombing.

While skilled at building and placing bombs, the brothers were idiots in terms of planning for after the event. They had no escape plan and appear to be making it up as events unfolded. Getting case from an ATM? Carjacking a ride? Those are the actions of panicked fools.

As I predicted on Hardball the other night, this bombing had the signature of an Islamic extremist group. That’s what it was. Those, like Peter Bergen, who were eager to pin this on the Tea Party owe an apology and ought to declare a moratorium on idiotic punditry.

  87. I agree with Larry’s analysis save the last point. When he asks CNN’s Bergen, and more generally big media as a whole to declare a moratorium on the culture war and the idiotic punditry it produces, I am reminded of Milton Friedman’s famous line: does a cat bark?

  88. Hats off to our police, FBI, HLSecurity and everyone involved that caught these two muderers in just a few days.

  89. Shadowfax indeed, however a shame the FBI however did not intervene before when apparently they were warned of the elder brother by a foreign country.

Moon, if this were a one off situation I would say anybody can be wrong. But if you look at the pattern posted above you begin to realize that this whole thing is premeditated, deliberated and part of a conscious business strategy deployed by big media—a strategy of divide, conquer and scapegoat. 92. Boston bombs: Obama lulled America into false confidence over terror threat
The war on terror cannot be fought at an arm’s length – and the attacks on Boston have brought uncertainty back to American streets, writes Peter Foster.

    10:59PM BST 19 Apr 2013

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/barackobama/10007190/Boston-bombs-Obama-lulled-America-into-false-confidence-over-terror-threat.html

In his State of the Union address to the American people earlier this year, Barack Obama declared that he was “confident” of achieving “our objective of defeating the core of al-Qaeda”.

Although he acknowledged the need to pursue the “remnants” of the terrorist group and its affiliates, the overall message was clear – al-Qaeda was badly degraded, the tides of war were receding and the US was winning this fight that was no longer even officially a war.

The Boston bombings would appear to present a fundamental challenge to that assessment and once again bring the nagging uncertainty of terrorism back on to the American main street.

It is too soon to be absolutely sure the attacks were motivated by jihadist ideology, but the Islamic videos on the website of the older of the two Tsarnaev brothers point very firmly in that direction.

They bring home the complexity of the global Islamist threat and the fact that it cannot be confined to wars in distant lands, or fought at arm’s length using drones, as the Obama administration has quietly yet insistently led America to believe.

    Related Articles

Mr Obama and his intelligence community know the threat from al-Qaeda affiliates, but have chosen to downplay it to the US public.

Even when that fight does directly touch on American lives, as it did last September when the US ambassador to Libya was murdered in Benghazi by an al-Qaeda linked group, the administration appears at pains to deny the connection.

Indeed, next week, America’s transportation authority is to relax rules on carrying knives on planes for the first time since the September 11 attacks.

But as many counter-terrorism experts have been saying – their voices often drowned out or ignored in favour of the pleasing simplicity of the Obama administration’s narrative – the threat from al-Qaeda is too amorphous and shifting to ever have been discounted.

“They’ve fallen into the same trap that the Bush administration did early on,” says Tom Jocelyn, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies think tank who tracks the movements of high-value al-Qaeda targets.

“They define al-Qaeda as a hierarchical terrorist organisation such that if you kill ‘x’ number of leaders then the whole thing falls apart.”

But the early information on the Tsarnaev brothers – born in Kyrgyzstan to a Chechen family, but living in the US for up to a decade – points to just how blurred, in reality, the distinctions between al-Qaeda and its affiliates can become.

“It’s a hybrid thing, that’s the problem,” says Aaron Zelin, a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy who has written extensively about the decentralisation of al-Qaeda. “It’s a unique threat, there’s nothing like it and that’s why people have a hard time grasping what it is.”

Looked at that way, Mr Obama’s “confidence” – and that of the American public – is likely to be badly shaken by what is emerging from Boston.

  93. “News” media is worthless…First said that he was taken to Mt. Auburn, then the MGH and now the Beth Israel; same hospital were his POS brother died. I wonder if you still get to screw 72 goats if your chest gets cracked and you die in a Jewish Hospital???

  94. 72 goats, or 17 virgin goats…either way, I hope the young white cap lives long enough to fear death and realize that he has destroyed his own life with his own hands…doubt if he will care about the other lives he has destroyed in the past 5 days. May he suffer and be fearful.

Hillary Was Right: Obama’s Inexperience Sank Gun Deal
by Stuart StevensApr 19, 2013 4:45 AM EDT

She told us so? The debacle on background checks fully exposed the president’s flawed leadership, which his Democratic rival warned voters about back in 2008.

If you ever need a refresher course in just how disconnected Barack Obama is from America’s mainstream culture of guns, consider this scathing indictment:

“You know, Americans who believe in the Second Amendment believe it’s a matter of constitutional right … I disagree with Senator Obama’s assertion that people in this country ‘cling to guns’ … People of all walks of life hunt—and they enjoy doing so because it’s an important part of their life, not because they are bitter.”

Is that Wayne LaPierre unloading on the president? Nope. It’s Hillary Clinton back in 2008 after then-senator Barack Obama’s famous reference to small-town Americans “clinging to guns and religion.” And just in case anyone missed her larger point about Obama, she went on to call the remarks “elitist and divisive.”

Hillary wasn’t my candidate, but after the president’s multiple failures to pass gun legislation capped by his Rose Garden performance, all of Hillary World can be forgiven for exhaling a loud, cathartic “I told you so.”

The post-Newtown push for additional gun-control measures managed to expose fully Obama’s flaws that candidate Hillary Clinton had warned about. It wasn’t just that he was hindered, not aided, by his quirky background, which was so removed from the small-town life she and her husband touted. It was his lack of legislative and leadership experience.

    As she said in 2008:

“I think that I have a lifetime of experience that I will bring to the White House. Sen. John McCain has a lifetime of experience that he’d bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he gave in 2002.”

Which, of course, is why a lot of people voted for Obama in 2008. He was new, and history shows us that in open-seat presidentials, the least-experienced candidate generally wins. It is very American to bet on the possibility of greatness, however remote, rather than the less-exciting reality of proven performance.

It’s hard to imagine that Hillary—or Bill—Clinton could not have reached some agreement resulting in compromise legislation.

But like all things in life, eventually advantages turn into disadvantages. More than any president in our lifetime, Obama was elected based on rhetoric and rhetorical skills, a talent easy to mock and foolish to undervalue. In the post-Newtown debate, Obama overplayed the rhetoric, and it doomed his chances for success.

The gun-control debate is not a new one, and the voters who care about it are not uneducated on the subject. In many ways, they are like seniors and health care. They have heard the pros and cons of various legislative solutions for decades and are savvy enough to know that all the easy solutions were passed long ago.

It was not lost on many of those paying attention that the provisions of the Manchin-Toomey legislation would have done nothing to prevent the Newtown massacre. The lack of such deprived this very logical president from making a logical case of support based on the Newtown tragedy and instead forced him to push the emotion of Newtown further and further. On a certain ironic level, this placed Obama in the same position as President George W. Bush making the case for the invasion of Iraq based on mushroom clouds rather than on hard data.

It’s hard to imagine that Hillary—or Bill—Clinton could not have reached some agreement resulting in compromise legislation. Doubtless it would not have been everything gun-control advocates desired, but it surely would have been more productive than the Rose Garden scene that writer Pete Wehner aptly compared to King Lear.

If nothing else, strong Second Amendment defenders could have negotiated with Hillary Clinton with reason to believe she honestly respected their views, if not always agreed with them. As Republicans are learning with Hispanic voters, if you send a signal that views on a critical issue are not respected, it is difficult to find common ground on any issue.

Curiously for such a liberal politician, gun control has always proven a vexing political issue for Barack Obama. When he was a state senator running for Congress against incumbent Bobby Rush in 1999, the congressman’s son was murdered in Chicago, prompting Illinois’s governor to introduce sweeping gun-control legislation. State Senator Obama supported the legislation, but missed the vote on final passage while on Christmas vacation in Hawaii. The result, according to his campaign manager Dan Shomon, was a disaster: “the perception was that Obama doesn’t care about gun safety.”

State Senator Obama went on to lose that race by 30 points. Perhaps, haunted by the race, Obama was determined that no one would ever again believe he doesn’t care about the issue. If so, mission accomplished. As for legislation to reduce gun violence, that’s a job still waiting an effective solution.

  96. Admin, I’m baccck…
Actually I am @ work. I am still sooo pumped, finally got to sleep at 0900 yesterday, see you were busy.

So happy we got that punk as*.

  97. SEE IT: Wild Brooklyn melee erupts as NYPD arrests Muslim teen for allegedly taunting Jewish subway rider

Stephan Stowe, 17, was charged with harassment after telling Jewish rider ‘They should have killed all of you.’ Police also wrestled a woman to the ground and arrested her after angry onlookers swarmed the station’s platform, snapping video and yelling at cops during the incident.

Now Bill echoes what I have been saying. Big media uses every horrific event as an excuse to vilify the tea party, conservatives and white people. This is only a fool looks to them for news. Everyone who draws a paycheck from these people is guilty to a degree, and the higher up the food chain in those organizations you go, the more corruption you will find.

  99. Stepping back from the sobriety and seriousness of the moment, and recognizing what any president would be compelled to do at a time like this, I note in passing that Obama is back in the well speechifying, and pretending to speak for the nation. For me, that part is a bridge too far. He has told one too many lies to us from the well in the past to be taken seriously, even at a moment like this. Does that mean I hate Obama? I say the question is irrelevant, or better still, if you have the full record in front of you on this guy, the facts speak for themselves. His words do nothing to provide closure here, especially when he has projected so much weakness to the world. Weakness invites attacks, and those chickens are coming home to roost on many different fronts. The comparison between him and Chamberlain is certainly apt. All he is really good for is making speeches at weddings and funerals.

WOW… BUT BUT BUT Holder and Obama said there couldn’t be any Black on White racism!

That young punk does look a lot like obama’s lost son we hear so much about…

  101. The other remarkable thing about Obama is his sense of entitlement and his snarkiness. Not someone to be taken seriously on sober matters such as this. Like sermons on marriage fidelity by Jimmy Swaggert, he is hard to take seriously.

  102. That young punk does look a lot like obama’s lost son we hear so much about…

Oh no gozo. Wolf Blitzer, and Brian Williams have both reported that he is a dark skinned white man with ties to the Aryan Brotherhood, and all of big media is in a lather over that. The rest of us need stop believing our lying eyes, and take our view of the world from Reverend Al.

  103. Redford Picked The Wrong Week To Stop Sniffing Glue

    Robert Redford’s Terrorist Heroes
April 16, 2013 By Bosch Fawstin Comments (43)

“ALL OF IT,” said Robert Redford, when asked if he supported the bombings by The Weather Underground.

Redford came out for terrorism on a mainstream morning television show in an interview with democrat-operative-leftist-hack George Stephanopoulos, who was slobbering over Redford’s pro-terrorist movie, The Company You Keep. I drew my illustration of Redford, below, days ago, and I wonder if he’s for the terrorist attack in Boston today. Or maybe he wants to wait and see if it’s leftist terrorists before he decides he’s all for it. Below is a list of what Robert Redford was for:

The Weather Underground’s history of terrorism consisted of:

    1970: SFPD Bombing (1 Killed)

    1970: NYPD Bombing (7 Hurt)

    1970: NYC Explosion (3 Killed)

    1971-72: Capital & Pentagon Attacked

    1981: Armed Robbery (3 Killed)

(As John Boot at PJ Media notes: The Vietnam War, of course, had been over for years, [by 1981] which gives the lie to the film’s claim that the Southeast Asia conflict was anything but a pretext for the terrorist network.)

As Larissa Atbashian wrote in FrontPage recently:

“Variety magazine has already created sympathetic buzz with a barrage of articles, calling the movie an “unabashedly heartfelt but competent tribute to 1960s idealism,” adding that “[t]here is something undeniably compelling, perhaps even romantic, about America’s ’60s radicals and the compromises they did or didn’t make.”

What Variety is saying is that Redford’s film is an: “unabashedly heartfelt but competent tribute to 1960s terrorism,” adding that “There is something undeniably compelling, perhaps even romantic, about American terrorists and the compromises they did or did not make.”

To fully appreciate who Robert Redford’s heroes are, Obama’s friend and co-founder of The Weather Underground, Bill Ayers, planned to murder 25 million Americans.

And instead of being shunned for his naked support of terrorism, Hollywood rewards Redford with a prominent part in the next Captain America film. Maybe he’ll play the anti-Captain America? No, because, as he’s done throughout his career, he needs to play some decent, semi-pro-American characters every once in a while in order to fund his Anti-American films.

  104. If the immigration issue or the presidential aspirations of Marco Rubio interest you then his article will be pertinent. The text shows what a slippery guy Rubio is, and I for one, seriously misjudged him in that respect. I would not vote for him. But the comments are of interest as well, because they reveal the full Schumer Strategy on this bill, and why it is like the House that Jack Built. One commenter remarks that he does not know who he despises more–Obama or McCain. How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

  105. Firstly, I apologize for missing the official birthday of Big Pink. My daily visit was interrupted as I watched the developments unfold away from internet access. This is a great place and I wish all here, ESPECIALLY ADMIN, many many happy returns. Secondly, the tick tock provided on this blog by the all the posters as well as the commentary is priceless. The picture painted here demonstrates exactly the politization of this incident as it unfolded. The question now is how can the treachery of Tingles and his ilk be made more widely known? (Tea Partiers my ass….)

Also, I think a bit too much is being made of the FBI’s role in the follow up to the brother’s foreign trip. But I say that as we anxiously await hearing what their role was post heqring that these guys were trouble. Was a team dispatched to watch them? What did the forein govt. (probably Russia) say about these guys?

Finally, I am THRILLED (THRILLED I tell you!) that these two gomers are Obots! I wonder how the administration will spin that one. I am thinking that the WH will just tell all the news outlets not to mention it.

    Asshats.

Many happy returns Big Pink and the same all here!!!!!

The bombing of the Marathon was tactically sophisticated but strategically stupid. Carrying out the near simultaneous bombings and escaping the area in the immediate aftermath demonstrated solid training and preparation. But hitting that target was moronic.

Larry Johnson knocks this one out of the park. For the marathon to be a good target, it would have to be done alongside other targets being attacked AT THE SAME TIME by different cells in different parts of the country. Possibly other sporting events, maybe 1 or two in arenas. The first international effect of this mess will be seen this weekend at the London marathon where security has already been increased. Just think of the panic that would have ensued worldwide had the target planning been better.

P.S. I am in NO WAY condoning the acts of these idiots. I hope the young one in custody now gets better and then goes to jail where he can be repeatedly raped by his fellow inmates. And I hope this is a teaching tool for law enforcement going forward. There are no easy answers and sadly, tragedy is forced to be the experience we learn from.

  108. Russian President Vladimir Putin may have been tempted to tell Barack Obama “I told you so” when U.S. officials blamed two ethnic Chechens for the Boston Marathon bombings.

He has long said the United
States underestimates the security threat posed by Islamist militants in
Russia’s volatile North Caucasus, and has rejected criticism that
Moscow’s use of force in the region has been heavy-handed.

  109. Someday, perhaps, people will realize the role the Saudis played in electing Obama. And someday they will see the connection between the Saudi Royal family and Soros. Maybe, just maybe. Remember all that untraceable money that flooded into his campaign from overseas. A big chunk of it came from the King of Saudi Arabia. The Royal family helped him get into Harvard, through that special letter of recommendation. A man with mediocre grades at a second rate school. And finally, there was that knee deep bow by Obama which was so deep it split his trousers. What I resent is a foreign power manipulating our elections and helping to bamboozle the fools who voted for Obama.

  110. And ever since then, the big Muslim push.

I have good friends who are Muslim, so do not think for one minute that is the issue. The issue is the forced indoctrination which came from the Saudi plant in the White House. And I would be willing to bet you that Dr. Z had a hand in this as well. Maybe I should just forget about it, because now it is too late to do anything about it. But is still bothers me to see fools get manipulated this way.

  111. Why the hell are they doing this, ridiculous amounts…….We’ve already seen what happens when they did this in Egypt and already accusations of the same in Syria.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry says America will give Syrian opposition an additional $123 million in non-lethal assistance

$123 dollars folks, money that could spent on securing the border or tightening up immigration systems….but nooooooooooooooo
