Hillary Clinton 2016 And John Kerry Botox Face

[Update on September 1, 2013 due to high traffic from John Kerry’s freakish appearance on all the talk shows: Welcome to the many of you wondering why Big Media is refusing to discuss John Kerry’s freakish botox face. We started a Twitter hashtag #JohnKerryBotox to break this misogynistic embargo.]

On the day yet to come that time and gravity provide Sarah Palin with the slightest of watery bags under her eyes, a wrinkle or two on her smooth face, a grey hair on her head – Big Media will explode with the virulent sexist misogyny Hillary Clinton supporters saw in 2007/2008 from Barack Obama supporters in and out of Big Media. Tina Fey will perform her impression of Sarah Palin with a Susan Sontag wig the moment a grey hair grows on Sarah’s head and Trig gran-momma jokes will erupt soon thereafter from ogres like Andrew Sullivan.

Hillary Clinton 2016 supporters better prepare for the onslaught of “you’re likeable enough Hillary” sexism and misogyny that will slew forth from Big Media. Hillary Clinton supporters (those who return to the fight with new Facebook pages and the many new organizations and websites that ensure that Big Pink is not alone as we were in 2007 and the early days of 2008) better prepare now for the sexism and misogyny that will come disguised as paeans to Hillary.

This past weekend the Washington Post’s Kathleen Parker wrote a seemingly flattering tribute to Hillary declaring that Hillary’s time has come. Parker wrote amidst her flattering words:

“It would be exhausting. Time wears us down, and Hillary would be 69 in 2016. The past four years have been brutal, and she shows the effects of constant travel, immense pressure and a rather noble lack of attention to her vanities. A presidential campaign, though more familiar, would be worse. So much engagement, so many bad meals, a terrible pace for anyone of any age but especially for a woman who may be musing about grandchildren and doting.”

Poor ol’ broken down Hillary. Send her to the glue factory or watch as she ends her life as an unpaid baby sitter. Yeah right. In 2008 we recall the many attacks against Hillary’s physical appearance by Obama supporters. Hillary’s “cankles” and her “cackle” were daily grist for the sexist misogyny mill that are the DailyKooks and other assorted Obama websites. These same people still control the DailyKooks and Obama websites and they will not apologize nor regret their attacks against Hillary in 2007/2008. Their attacks at first will be subtle. But the old attacks will reemerge refreshed once the left decides who the Barack Obama of 2016 will be.

* * * * * *

Ol’ broken down Hillary has a “noble lack of attention to her vanities” wrote Kathleen Parker. Translation: ‘Hillary has gone to seed and doesn’t care that she looks like a beaten up bagwoman’. Or is it an old wet bag of potatoes?

Back in September 2011 when there was a behind the scenes move to dump Barack Obama and bring in the “A” team, Hillary, the rumors began that Hillary Clinton had a facelift.

Hillary Clinton was the Secretary of State then and meeting with Libyan Transitional Council chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil when the facelift rumors began. The rumors lifted only after it became clear that Hillary’s fresh new appearance was due to finally getting a few hours of sleep. Which brings us to Secretary of State John Kerry.

Have you seen John Kerry lately? The man must be 50% Botox. There is sufficient Botox in Kerry to float the corpse of Michael Jackson like a coffin on the high seas or a cork in a toilet bowl. But no one in Big Media notices.

Have you seen John Kerry lately? Kerry looks like a refugee from Terry Gilliam’s film Brazil.

Or perhaps from Star Trek Insurrection:

John Kerry Facelift

Or just a plain old disaster:

Yet, because he’s a man, there is no other reason is there?, no one is mentioning John Kerry’s Botox face.

Back in 2004 there was some attention to the Botox Kerry was injecting into his equine face (apologies to our horse friends). But today, as John Kerry travels the planet as Secretary of State no one in Big Media writes about the Wilderstein appearance of Kerry. Kerry looks as if Theresa got out an iron and did a permanent press on hubby.

Mind, we have nothing against a little surgical pick-me-up other than we don’t really like any type of surgery if it can be at all avoided. But why is it that John Kerry gets a pass on what is obvious to everyone? If it was a woman gone to such extreme wrinkly annihilation “Wilderstein!” would be heard throughout the Big Media swamps.

Perhaps Big Media is rewarding John Kerry with silence because of his complicity along with Ted Kennedy to gift the Democratic Party nomination to Barack Obama in 2008 “(Ted Kennedy was the secret power behind Obama well before Iowa – a fact almost never mentioned (contrary to myth John Kerry endorsed Obama before Iowa and Kerry would not have acted without Ted Kennedy’s approval.)” But we doubt that is the real reason.

Sexism and misogyny crested in 2008 as first Hillary Clinton then Sarah Palin became the targets of the Barack Obama smear machine. The War on Women is waged by men and women from the left and the right. Anyone who thinks sexism and misogyny will disappear in 2016 from the propaganda organs of the DailyKooks left is in for a shocking face stretch as reality slaps them in the face.

My pick-me-up of the day. 😉

If Horseface get’s Botox, does he look more like a unicorn without the horn?

  2. Kerry’s pronunciation is surprisingly understandable but it seems doubtful that stiff upper lip does anything for Terese.:)

  3. …ahhh…it is good to come ‘home’ and be among kindred spirits…

…we can always count on good ole Kathleen Parker to say the nicest things about Hillary

    ***********************

I had the same observations about Kerry about a month ago when I asked ‘has anyone seen JK lately’ to me, it looks like his face has actually gotten longer AND he is so, so, so pale…like the walking dead…

I hope no one is offended by what I suggest but if I were Hillary, I would take this time to be incredibly good to myself…I would, in fact, make time to indulge myself in all the things I did not have time for while I was out there saving the world and covering for the boob…

I would write my book, make those inspiring speeches…and money…and also for free at her choosing…

and I would put that wonderful discipline she has into a structured exercise routine…this woman has not had that kind of time for herself for years…now would be a wonderful time…she can choose whatever she likes…yoga, home gym, exercise bike…heck she loves to dance…maybe some Zumba classes…whatever she desires…

…and then, i think our Hillary is entitled to have someone dedicated to preparing yummy, healthy meals for her…yes, she can cook if she wants, but for those days she is not in the mood…bring on a nutrionist and come up with some great meals and have someone prepare them…and if her heart desires…freeze her favorites so they are always there for that urge…

I know some may say this might be superficial…I think not…she deserves to pamper herself…all her freaking critics pamper themselves all the time…and frankly half of them still look a mess…still cannot get over Tina Brown criticizing Hillary’s hair on Morning Joe one morning…Tina look in the mirror…

Hillary…take this time for yourself…you earned it…you deserve it…and you owe it to your critics to shut them up…(even though I do not care for the sentiments of the new Beyonce song…Bow Down B——!…perhaps she has hit upon something for Hillary to consider)

Go Hillary…make everyone of these ninkinpoops eat their words…

…btw…remember how Hillary wowed everyone during the debates…not only were her brains showing but her inner and outer beauty were shining and bright for all to see…she has it…she deserves some time for herself…

In Greek mythology, Cassandra (Greek Κασσάνδρα, also Κασάνδρα)[1] was the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy. She spent a night at Apollo’s temple, at which time the temple snakes licked her ears clean so that she was able to hear the future. When Cassandra refused Apollo’s attempted seduction, he placed a curse on her so that she and all her descendants’ predictions would not be believed. How then do we make the ignorant, the non cognicenti see the perils ahead, and reverse course before it is too late?

  6. Mortimer Zuckerman: The Great Recession Has Been Followed by the Grand Illusion
Don’t be fooled by the latest jobs numbers. The unemployment situation in the U.S. is still dire..

The Great Recession is an apt name for America’s current stagnation, but the present phase might also be called the Grand Illusion—because the happy talk and statistics that go with it, especially regarding jobs, give a rosier picture than the facts justify.

The country isn’t really advancing. By comparison with earlier recessions, it is going backward. Despite the most stimulative fiscal policy in American history and a trillion-dollar expansion to the money supply, the economy over the last three years has been declining. After 2.4% annual growth rates in gross domestic product in 2010 and 2011, the economy slowed to 1.5% growth in 2012. Cumulative growth for the past 12 quarters was just 6.3%, the slowest of all 11 recessions since World War II.

And last year’s anemic growth looks likely to continue. Sequestration will take $600 billion of government expenditures out of the economy over the next 10 years, including $85 billion this year alone. The 2% increase in payroll taxes will hit about 160 million workers and drain $110 billion from their disposable incomes. The Obama health-care tax will be a drag of more than $30 billion. The recent 50-cent surge in gasoline prices represents another $65 billion drag on consumer cash flow.

February’s headline unemployment rate was portrayed as 7.7%, down from 7.9% in January. The dip was accompanied by huzzahs in the news media claiming the improvement to be “outstanding” and “amazing.” But if you account for the people who are excluded from that number—such as “discouraged workers” no longer looking for a job, involuntary part-time workers and others who are “marginally attached” to the labor force—then the real unemployment rate is somewhere between 14% and 15%.

    Close
    Corbis
    .
Other numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics have deteriorated. The 236,000 net new jobs added to the economy in February is misleading—the gross number of new jobs included 340,000 in the part-time, low wage category. Many of the so-called net new jobs are second or third jobs going to people who are already working, rather than going to those who are unemployed.

The number of Americans unemployed for six months or longer went up by 89,000 in February to a total of 4.8 million. The average duration of unemployment rose to 36.9 weeks, up from 35.3 weeks in January. The labor-force participation rate, which measures the percentage of working-age people in the workforce, also dropped to 63.5%, the lowest in 30 years. The average workweek is a low 34.5 hours thanks to employers shortening workers’ hours or asking employees to take unpaid leave.

Since World War II, it has typically taken 24 months to reach a new peak in employment after the onset of a recession. Yet the country is more than 60 months away from its previous high in 2007, and the economy is still down 3.2 million jobs from that year.

Just to absorb the workforce’s new entrants, the U.S. economy needs to add 1.8 million to three million new jobs every year. At the current rate, it will be seven years before the jobs lost in the Great Recession are restored. Employers will need to make at least 300,000 hires every month to recover the ground that has been lost.

The job-training programs announced by the Obama administration in his State of the Union address are sensible, but they won’t soon bridge the gap for workers with skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Nor is there yet any reform of the patent system, which imposes long delays on innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs seeking approvals. It often takes two years to obtain the environmental health and safety permits to build a modern electronic plant, a lifetime in the tech world.

When employers can’t expand or develop new lines because of the shortage of certain skills, the employment opportunities for the less skilled are also restricted. To help with this shortage, the administration’s proposals for job-training programs do deserve support. The stress should be on vocational training, postsecondary education and every program that will broaden access to computer science and strengthen science, technology, engineering and math in high schools and at the university level.

But the payoffs from these programs are in the future, and it is vital today to increase the number of annual visas and grants of permanent residency status for foreigners skilled in science and technology. The current situation is preposterous: The brightest and best brains from all over the globe are attracted to American universities, but once they get their degrees America sends them packing. Keeping these foreigners out means they will compete against us in the industries that are growing here and around the world.

What the administration gives us is politics. What the country needs are constructive strategies free of ideology. But the risks of future economic shocks will multiply so long as we remain locked in a rancorous political culture with a leadership more inclined to public relations than hardheaded pragmatic recognition of what must be done to restore America’s vitality.

Real hunters point guns remaining in a state of rest up to the sky, or down to the ground. NRA trained hunters never do any of these things especially when there are children nearby – see them when camera filming ad pans right.

  10. From the “Daily Trojan”:

    Hillary Clinton could aid businesswomen
By PAYAL MUKERJI · Daily Trojan

A Quinnipiac poll issued last week found that in a potential 2016 presidential matchup former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would crush former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush by 51-40 percent, a particularly shocking finding since Clinton is not currently a candidate for the 2016 election and because Florida is known as a generally conservative state. In fact, a Business Insider article from last week made headlines as it reported that several sources in the Republican Party were nervous about Clinton’s decision as well.

“If she runs, she’ll be almost impossible, I fear,” said one Washington-based Republican strategist.

Though it might be too early to start buying Hillary Clinton 2016 bumper stickers, the effects of a female president on business and economy may come as a surprise to many Americans. Clinton’s emphasis on recruiting more women into working positions has been clear throughout her time as Secretary of State and as a U.S. Senator, having heralded several programs for women in business.

As she famously stated, “When it comes to the enormous challenge of our time — to systematically and relentlessly pursue more economic opportunity in our lands — we don’t have a person to waste and we certainly don’t have a gender to waste.”

Since 2006, Clinton has endorsed the idea that women are an untapped economic resource in business and, if her campaign is successful in 2016, the role of women in the business sector could be permanently transformed.

With the dust from the 2012 presidential election finally settled, voters have already begun to call out for Clinton to throw her hat into the presidential ring in 2016. Premature support for Clinton’s campaign continued to grow after Clinton announced her resignation from the Secretary of State position. Though she has been noncommittal about presidential plans for the future, Clinton is arguably one of the best prospects for the presidency in the next election. And, if she chooses to run, she will be nearly impossible to beat.

Though her resume is nothing short of impressive, Clinton’s business tactics in politics set her even further apart from her political counterparts.

“We also understand that America’s economic strength and our global leadership are a package deal,” Clinton said. “Our power in the 21st century depends not just on the size of our military, but also on how we grow, how well we innovate, what we make and on how effectively we sell.”

Part of this growth, Clinton argues, is in the number of working women.

Clinton said that “there is no doubt that the increasing numbers of women in the economy has helped fuel significant growth everywhere. And economies that are making the shift more effectively and rapidly are dramatically outperforming those that have not.”

Clinton is not the only person to make the connection. A recent Catalyst survey found a strong correlation between gender diversity in the executive positions of a corporation and that business’ overall economic performance. As CNN analyst Brooke Burke argues, “If women’s economic potential can be successfully harnessed and leveraged, it would be the equivalent of having an additional one billion individuals in business and in the workforce contributing to the global economy.”

The results of this kind of thinking have already affected countries outside of the U.S. Avon, the cosmetic company, for example, gives millions of women in more than 100 countries the opportunity to become entrepreneurs, resulting in more than $10 billion in revenue. Within the United States, Walmart has opted to invest more than $20 billion in female-led companies in the United States alone. What these companies have discovered is that tapping into women as a resource has enormous financial incentives. According to the International Center for Research on Women, “investing in women is recognized not only as the right thing to do but also the smart thing to do.”

Clinton’s success in 2016 might not have effects on businesses in terms of financial policy, but the political impact of her win may be more compelling. Clinton has been a proponent of women in business for her entire political career, but it is only recently that her strategy of positioning women as an economic resource has come into play. If the odds are in her favor in 2016, it is this ideology that might affect numbers of working women everywhere.

    =============

The above is the main reason why I think, in the time between now and September 2015, Hillary should go into business herself, as CEO of a major corporation.

Everyone (including me) is sure she will write a book. We know she will make money on the Harry Walker speech circuit. It has been rumored she has been offered the presidency of Yale and other universities.

But what about business? What about taking over Immelt’s job at GE, for example? or Walmart? Or turning around some flailing mid-level company? Or making a successful green enterprise start-up?

  11. Which further illustrates admin’s point that we are merciless where it comes to women’s appearance. I am as guilty as anyone. HELP!

  12. The good Professor at Legal Insurrection has named our article The Coming Bloodbath: Sunshine For Hillary Clinton 2016 as his “Post of the Day” (see, the column at the right of is website).

The Professor also has some good articles about today’s Supreme Court arguments on gay marriage.

  13. 1. Obama’s dishonest motive is revealed in this single statement: The health care bill is going to provide those medical device companies 30 million new customers. It’s going to be great for business. And they’re doing really well right now.” (Note: in other words, Obamacare is not about benefiting the American People, or even covering the uninsured. It is about creating a windfall for his contributors in the medical industry, who used to belong to the Republicans.) So when his defenders say this is all just politics, you can say, the point is you are getting screwed, because you will pay more for less coverage and corporations and dimocrats will be the sole beneficiaries, and the only real question here is whether you have enough common sense to see it.)

    — President Obama in a December interview with Minneapolis’ WCCO defending the tax on medical devices in his 2010 health law

    2. “People will discover it is a system run out of Washington and not a private system. I would say if they go that way, go the way of the British and do it honestly and simply own it instead of a pretend private healthcare system.” (Note: this is a backhanded compliment to Hillary, because she tried to do this the honest way with her health care initiative in the early 90’s, and the corporations who are gorging themselves now at the public trough fought tooth and nail to defeat her initiative. As I recall, Saint Teddy encouraged her to accept this pro business formula, and the Republicans indicated that they would accept it, but she had enough integrity at the time to reject those disingenous overtures.

    — Charles Krauthammer on “Special Report with Bret Baier.”

In the end, with the full backing of big media, this terrible program will go through and our health care system will degenerate to the level described by Franz Kafka. In the end, the entire destruction of our nation can be laid at the feet of big media–just as all roads lead to Rome.

  14. William Buckley once described the media as a force of nature. That may have been true when he said it but it is manifestly untrue today. Today, big media is not some brooding omnipresence in the sky, but the articulate voice of a small group of like minded self interested insiders who engage in a sophisticated program of disinformation to achieve objectives inimical to the interests of the American People.

  15. The new Beyonce song has gotten a lot of attention. Beyonce used to be about empowering women now she is about enslaving women. White House Blog has this:

    http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2013/03/26/official-obama-chantreuse-beyonces-vile-song/

Official Obama Chantreuse Beyonce’s Vile New Song [snip]

I show it to you below, because it has news value. For some of you, this may be too offensive, so beware. The poetic refrain that anchors the song is “Bow down bitches.”

In my opinion, there are two competing qualities related to this song – it’s both offensive and stupid. I’m not sure which of these has the upper hand.

Beyonce can do whatever she wants – I really don’t care about Beyonce. But the Obamas have elevated her to the status of a kind of national songstress and associated the White House and the presidency closely with her. In doing so, they are severely demeaning both.

Michelle has portrayed Beyonce as a kind of alter ego, the woman she’d like to be if she couldn’t be Michelle Obama. She flew out at taxpayer expense to attend one of her concerts in Atlantic City and has used her to help promote her Let’s Move kids’ health campaign.

Meanwhile, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z have had the inestimable honor of a visit not only to the West Wing but the White House Situation Room. And then she represented our nation by pretending to sing the National Anthem at the 2013 Inauguration.

The Obamas should not be disgracing the White House by associating it with purveyors of smut. What’s the point, Michelle, of trying to improve kids’ bodies when you give your approval to someone who would poison their minds?

President Obama, with his feet up on furniture, gum chewing, causal clothes in the Oval Office, appearances on dumb TV shows, and in many other ways, has already demonstrated he’s not intent on bringing any sense of elegance to the presidency and taken steps to demean it.

But let’s not chuck it in gutter.

  16. Remember Joe Sestak – the one PA voted in in lieu of Specter for the purpose of having him lose to Republican and now Sen Toomey? Well Joe has not been silent it seems, and most recently he took a shot at Toomey. A comment at that site will be of some interest here, I presume:

I said this a million times and I will say it again. The PA Guv race in 2014 is a three way race. Sestak, Swartz and McCord are all contenders. Each have their strengths and weaknesses.
The loser of the Guv race will run for Senate in 2016 and probably win. Democrats may have Hillary Clinton at the top of the ticket and momentum will be huge especially if either of the Clintons spend time here.

  20. A sweeping new Obama administration strategy to protect plants, fish and animals from the hazards of global warming would require the government to set aside millions of acres of land to preserve threatened habitat.

“More than millions of acres across the landscape will be required,” said U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe. “The lands will be protected by easement, by land acquisitions, by local, by land trusts, by state agencies, by federal agencies,” he told reporters in releasing a 120-page National Fish, Wildlife and Plants Climate Adaptation Strategy, in the works for four years.

“We’re doing it for wildlife preservation and we’re thinking about climate,” he added.

    For the umpteenth time, hypocrisy.
Regarding an upgrade to a gas line from PA to NJ in progress by a Tennessee gas company. It already has a right of way 1 mile long for a smaller pipe which goes through to the same place on the other side of the Delaware River. But rather than run the larger pipe alongside the existing one, they are clear-cutting a circuitous route 7 miles long through national forest and private land, some wetland. Approved by state, encouraged by Fed govt. Public has protested for years. Recently a few have physically tried to stop cutting but now there are significant punishments for doing so.

The UCC filing statement from 2011 raised 14.3 Trillion in money under the Obama Administration by using the people of the United States as “property improvement” capital on the land for purposes of collateral. You can’t file a UCC on property, but you can file on property improvements.

Essentially they sold you for 14.3 Trillion dollars in borrowed funds.

  30. On MSNBC’s “The Daily Rundown” on Tuesday, long-time pundit and former Bill Clinton campaign adviser James Carville made a pitch for a Hillary Clinton presidential run in 2016, arguing there is a groundswell of support for the former first lady.

Fill-in host Luke Russert asked Carville how much pressure would be on Hillary Clinton to make a show in the next presidential election cycle. Carville said the pressure will be “unimaginable” and that Democrats all over the country are excited by the prospect of the former first lady taking the plunge.

“I think it’ll be unimaginable,” Carville said. “I mean, if — I just go around the country and if there’s a Democrat that does not want her to run, I have not met them. Now she is her own person and seems perfectly willing to resist that kind of pressure, but in terms of encouragement, I don’t think there’s ever been anybody that is a prohibitive front-runner for a party’s nomination as former Secretary of State Clinton is right now. You can feel it out there wherever I go and whenever people talk to me, it’s the same thing.”

Carville all but ruled out being part of a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, but said he would be out raising money for her if she should run.

    ——————————————————————————–

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Actress Ashley Judd says she won’t run for U.S. Senate in Kentucky against Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

Judd made the announcement in a Twitter message late Wednesday afternoon.

Judd had hinted last week that she was nearing a decision about the race.

The former Kentucky resident now living in suburban Nashville, Tenn., has said little publicly about her intentions.

However, she has been meeting with several Democratic leaders, including Gov. Steve Beshear, to discuss a possible run.

Defeating McConnell would be the Democrats’ biggest prize of the 2014 election.

His seat is one of 14 that Republicans are defending while Democrats try to hold onto 21. Democrats hope to retain or add to their 55-45 edge.

Judd has starred in several movies including “Kiss the Girls” and “Dolphin Tale.”

    *************************************************

saw a blip last week that Bill went to speak to her…maybe he told her to stick to acting…

  32. Lame Cherry is on topic:

“No one likes Barack Obama. You can see that when democrats just love Hillary Clinton and just a few years ago they hated this bitch enough to allow Obama to gang rape her in the 2008 primaries to steal the nomination.”
    &&&&&&&

    Ummmm. Well said!!

  33. More excerpted paragraphs from Lame Cherry’s piece about “First Ladies”:

The proof of it all in the failings of Muchelle Robinson Obama, goes back to the poll numbers in liberals desiring Hillary Clinton again, in having wiped from their memories how much they hated this first wife. The reason for that is the liberal hates M. R. Obama heaps more.

    ….

The reality is as the Obama legacy erodes, it will be due to Muchelle Obama, and that woman named Hillary Clinton looking for her place, with her first lady, Bill, doing all the work Muchelle would not do for Barack.

  35. CAIR LEADER MUSTAFA CARROLL IN TEXAS: AS MUSLIMS WE ARE ABOVE THE LAW……..

This is not ‘controversial’ thinking as one might assume. The more you know about Islam, about its sharia, it becomes amazingly clear that Muslim fundamentalists, the believers in the basic fundamentals of their creed, are not here to co-exist, but to help in the eventual takeover of society, no matter how long it takes. Using every available means at their disposal, they’ll use the very system against itself. Mustafa Carroll is just being open and honest in this rare accounting.

This creep campaigned against Tea Party to win US House in 2012:

SenBobCasey, who is a big buddy of Cartwrights but endorsed Cartwright’s opponent in the primary, did the same to sink Tom Smith. Now both are publicly embracing grass roots. From HuffNPuff:

[will not dignify it with a link but the tee vee station which is partnering with VOA to sponsor James Carville talk aired it this morning.]

Casey is doing all kinds of Twitter, and has signed on to a Marco Rubio piece of legislation.

I knew that they had been BIG buddies, but I thought they had a falling out during the campaign. I guess they are friends again. Somehow barry’s buddies don’t stay angry with him for long.

In the meantime – the dictator makes himself known:

Obama Ignores Nullification, Says Federal Agents Will Enforce Obamacare
In a move that is reminiscent of the tyrannical actions of Abraham Lincoln that led to the War of Northern Aggression, Barack Obama says that he will not wait on states to enforce Obamacare. Instead his administration has announced its intent is to completely disregard the state’s Tenth Amendment rights to nullification of the Obamacare law, via their passed legislation and state constitutions. In fact, his administration has said that in states where they refuse to comply with federal healthcare mandates that agents from the Department of Health and Human Services will assume absolute control over the state’s health insurance industry.

    ********
That is the state of American Politics. It’s now a race to see who can steal the last dollar before the system crashes. Obamacare is just a further extension of what was started under Bush with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D, etc. Just more laundering of tax dollars to the big donors via “social” programs. The latest is privatizing Medicaid which is happening in my state. If this goes through then the insurance industry basically collects a 25% surcharge on Medicaid tax dollars.

  40. Speaking to tourists and members of the press, Food Democracy Now! co-founders Lisa Stokke and Dave Murphy said they feel bitterly betrayed by President Obama. Both worked as precinct captains for Obama in 2007 and 2008.

“We worked our ass off to put this president in the White House,” Murphy said. “Monsanto didn’t do anything to put him in the White House, but they bought and paid for him the minute that he won the election.”

  41. Greece hits the skids and the US under Barry’s lame direction is on the same path…

Cyprus’ banks have opened their doors after the longest enforced bank holiday in Europe’s history.

Queues grew outside branches across the country, with no signs of panic as employees limited the number of customers allowed in at any one time. [If this happened in the US, it would be a lot of very angry people, with arms…on the streets, going nuts]

But many residents expressed anger at the country’s controversial bailout – which requires Cyprus to raise 5.8bn euros (£4.9bn).
A Laiki bank branch in Cyprus After a rush when the doors first opened, customers queued calmly

“They have stolen our money,” Milton Loucas told Sky News.

“I have been working for 60 years. I am 80 years old. I cannot work again for my living – they have cut the lot.

“Our money, our social insurance – they have cut them. How are we going to live?”

Another Cypriot, Stelios, came out of the bank empty handed.

“I tried to get my February wages and they gave me a piece of paper only,” he said.

“I have two children in the army and they asked for money – I don’t have money to give them.

“The Government didn’t pay anybody. My old parents didn’t get their pension.”
Cash restrictions handout Banks are giving customers information about the capital restrictions

The country’s President – who has cut his own salary by 25% – tweeted his thanks to Cypriots for showing “maturity” as the banks reopened.

    [‘Maturity’ or plain old SHOCK!]

“I would like to thank the Cypriot people for their maturity and collectedness shown in their interactions with the Cypriot Banks,” Nicos Anastasiades said on his official Twitter account.

Cash withdrawals and other transactions are subject to tough restrictions, introduced by the country’s Finance Ministry in an effort to avoid a run on the banks.

The country’s crippled banking system was effectively closed down on March 16 while the terms of the 10bn euro (£8.5bn) bailout were agreed and implemented.

Large depositors face losses of as much as 40% of their savings as part of the deal, leading to fears that customers would attempt to withdraw large amounts of money when the banks reopened.
A demonstrator in Nicosia, Cyprus Demonstrations against austerity measures continued in Cyprus on Wednesday

As a result, strict capital controls include a withdrawal limit of 300 euros (£253) a day and a ban on cashing cheques.

Travellers leaving the country can only take up to 1,000 euros (£845), or the equivalent in foreign currency, with them in cash – significantly less than expected.

Police and security staff were deployed to maintain order at branches, and G4S guards called in to work alongside police officers and other security firms across the country.

The giant global firm was the contractor that failed to meet their promises over security at the London Olympics prompting the British military to step in.

G4S’s managing director in Cyprus, John Arghyrou, told Sky News: “I feel we have the resources, I feel extremely confident as a security company that we can undertake and meet the requirements of our customers.”

With just 860,000 people, Cyprus has around 68bn euros (£57bn) in its banks.

This outsized financial system attracted deposits from foreigners but has struggled since investments in neighbouring Greece went sour.

  42. These Bat Planes are so awesome…

The U.S. military announced Thursday that two B-2 stealth bombers were sent to South Korea to participate in a training exercise, demonstrating the Pentagon’s commitment to defend its ally against threats from North Korea.

The two B-2 Spirit bombers flew more than 6,500 miles from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri to South Korea, dropping inert munitions before returning to the U.S., according to a statement released by U.S. Forces Korea.

“The United States is steadfast in its alliance commitment to the defense of the Republic of Korea, to deterring aggression, and to ensuring peace and stability in the region,” the statement said.

  43. Listen to the interloper tell us who we are:
28 March. WASHINGTON — With resistance to tougher gun laws stiffening in Congress, a visibly frustrated President Obama on Thursday implored lawmakers and the nation not to lose sight of the horrors of the school massacre in Newtown, Conn.
“The notion that two months or three months after something as horrific as what happened in Newtown happens and we’ve moved on to other things?” Mr. Obama said in remarks at the White House, surrounded by relatives and friends of victims of gun violence, including some from Newtown. “That’s not who we are. That’s not who we are. And I want to make sure every American is listening today….”

  44. But as usual, he’s not going to take “no” for an answer:
3/29/ President Obama is quietly moving forward on gun control.
The president has used his executive powers to bolster the national background check system, jumpstart government research on the causes of gun violence and create a million-dollar ad campaign aimed at safe gun ownership.

  45. Interloper.
    1. a person who interferes or meddles in the affairs of others. Best example Mayor Bloomberg.
    2. a person who intrudes into a region, field, or trade without a proper license. Best example: President Obama.

Grand kids are here. Older one drove the two of them. About 100 miles. Apparently, their nervous mother was in frequent phone contact as they traveled. Only notables for their trip: a traffic tie up and a missed turn which landed them alongside the guard station of a military depot. Lucky guards on duty had common sense and it has become a cute anecdote. And a big family milestone. 🙂

I hope all here enjoy their celebrations this weekend. I will be doing likewise, although some “work” too. Obviously Obama is not slacking off.

  46. Was the Iranian publication itself a subtle form of blackmail, aimed at letting Kerry know that the regime is fully aware of his son-in-law’s extended family in Iran? The Islamic Republic systematically puts pressure on family members of prominent Iranian-Americans (for example, individuals who work at the Persian service of Voice of America), to make sure that they do not engage in hostile statements or activities against the Tehran regime.
