People Died, Obama Lied – The Spanish Language Edition

The Forth Hood terrorist attack that killed American soldiers was declared a crime not a terrorist attack. The terrorist attack in Benghazi too is called a crime and the F.B.I. is sent to investigate but weeks later still to get there.

The “Fast and Furious” arms walking across the border causes many deaths and from Barack Obama more lies. From Big Media more exonerations of Obama and Eric Holder’s Justice Department are concocted.

Unfortunately for American Big Media and Barack Obama the Spanish language powerhouse station Univision is on the job. Univision was also on the job when they startled American viewers recently with an actual interview of Barack Obama which asked the most simple of questions not just fawning “may I fluff your pillow?” exercises in American “journalism”.

Tonight Univision’s “Aquí y Ahora” (which translates to “Here and Now”) shocks the English-only speaking populace with an example of reportage. The show airs today – Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. (ET) [6:00 p.m. in the central time zone). You don’t have to have any knowledge of Spanish to understand blood and death and in either case the show will provide English captions.

There is a video: Preview of Univision’s “bombshell” report on Fast & Furious:

The Daily Caller is one of the few American Big Media outlets reporting correctly on Fast and Furious:

“Spanish-language television network Univision plans to air a television special that it said reveals more violence than previously known, as well as the stories of how many more Operation Fast and Furious victims were killed, the network announced in a Friday release.

“The consequences of the controversial ‘Fast and Furious’ undercover operation put in place by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2009 have been deadlier than what has been made public to date,” the network said. “The exclusive, in-depth investigation by Univision News’ award-winning Investigative Unit — Univision Investiga — has found that the guns that crossed the border as part of Operation Fast and Furious caused dozens of deaths inside Mexico.”

Among other groups of Fast and Furious victim stories Univision says it will tell in the special to air Sunday evening at 7 p.m., is one about how “16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010″ were gunned down with weapons the Obama administration gave to drug cartel criminals through Fast and Furious.

“Univision News’ Investigative Unit was also able to identify additional guns that escaped the control of ATF agents and were used in different types of crimes throughout Mexico,” the network added. “Furthermore, some of these guns — none of which were reported by congressional investigators — were put in the hands of drug traffickers in Honduras, Puerto Rico, and Colombia. A person familiar with the recent congressional hearings called Univision’s findings ‘the holy grail’ that Congress had been searching for.”

For those looking for an answer to the massive drug cartel activity and huge murder rates in Puerto Rico and the countries listed by Univision, look no further than Barack Obama’s AFT.

“U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered with Fast and Furious weapons.” Also killed was “Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata and Mexican citizen Mario Gonzalez. Gonzalez’s sister, Patricia Gonzalez, was the state prosecutor for the Mexican state of Chihuahua.”

They died, Obama lied. The Obama lies and coverups continue:

“Former White House National Security Council staffer Kevin O’Reilly — who was intimately involved in Fast and Furious planning with Phoenix ATF officials, according to emails obtained throughout the congressional investigation — has since been reassigned by the Department of State to a detail in Iraq. Obama administration officials have refused to make O’Reilly available to congressional investigators and to Horowitz’s internal DOJ investigation.

On Friday, CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson reported that congressional Republicans are now threatening to subpoena O’Reilly and force his testimony on Fast and Furious.”

We don’t like the indisputable fact that the State Department is being utilized by Barack Obama for his coverups. We don’t think Hillary Clinton is involved in any of this but even if she is we want a full and complete investigation of all these matters – NOW – before the election.

Why do we think that Hillary Clinton is not involved in any of this even though she is the leader of the State Department? Well, we’ve written extensively on the Hillary versus Barack covert war when we discussed Egypt and Libya and there is plenty of evidence of Obama undermining Hillary.

And we note with satisfaction that is was Obama hench-woman Susan Rice (who has been given cabinet level status in a widely reported attempt at the beginning of the Obama mal-administration to undermine the Secretary of State) who went on the talk shows to lie about what happened at Benghazi. It was Hillary who has been calling what happened at Benghazi an terrorist attack. Also check out the New York Times article and note the people in opposition to Barack Obama on foreign policy.

But whatever, we want a full and total immediate investigation. The fate of Hillary Clinton (who we are sure will come out smelling like a rose after a thorough investigation) is not the issue. Americans need to know the truth about what happened at Benghazi.

On the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Fox News is on the job:

Even the Obama protection squad at Reuters is reporting news:

“The top U.S. intelligence authority issued an unusual public statement on Friday declaring it now believed the September 11 attack on U.S. diplomatic facilities in Benghazi, Libya, was a “deliberate and organized terrorist attack.”…

Shawn Turner, spokesman for Clapper’s office, said that in the immediate aftermath of the attack, U.S. agencies came to the view that the Benghazi attack had begun spontaneously after protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo against a short film made in California lampooning the Prophet Mohammad…

In an apparent reference to a series of contradictory statements by some top Obama administration officials, Turner said intelligence agencies’ “initial assessment” had been passed on “to Executive Branch officials and members of Congress, who used that information to discuss the attack publicly and provide updates as they became available.”…

Within hours of the attacks ending, some government sources in Washington were already acknowledging they might well have been planned and organized in advance, and that members of two militant factions, Ansar al Shariah and al Qaeda’s North Africa-based affiliate, known as al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb, may have been involved.”

Even the Obama campaign affiliate NBC News has been forced by reality to report somewhat fairly on the Benghazi terrorist attack news:

Even the Washington Post has had to do some honest reporting including “From video to terrorist attack: a definitive timeline of administration statements on the Libya attack.

People died, Obama lied. As Mike Huckabee noted “Nobody died in Watergate.”

American Big Media does not care about death, corruption, duplicity and lies – if they come from Barack Obama. Pat Caddell pretty much sums up recently what we have been writing for years:

Mitt Romney better win this election because Barack Obama will get us all killed and Big Media won’t report it.

  1. Some people are noticing that a lot of Dem voters seem to be, well, gone. It’s almost as if a major Left ‘community activist’ group with an infamous reputation for voter registration fraud had gone out business between ’08 and now. Go Figure.

Glad to see this site reinforce itself from the attacks that will commence massively from the Obots. Keep fighting admin, and bravo on this article. More truth and actual reporting than the entire 99% of the American Obot lefty “press” corps.

And bravo to Univision for doing some real investigative work. Will definitely be watching this special today.

My worry is the libyan murders will become Fast & Furious Part 2, the american media is 100% fully in the tank for their Messiah, so anything that hurt him, never mind that it hurts Americans/America, but if is damaging to him, not one damn of these so called “reporters” will cover it. Pat Caddell is completely correct, instead of keeping those in power in check, the American corrupt media is now in full collusion with the liars and radicals in charge and in power.

  3. I’m pretty sure Obama is crapping these debates, he really does not want to do them and there is so much crap to fling, it will be like throwing a foot ball at a mile wide goal.

  4. i’m holding back judgement until i see the report, for all we know, we got a little red meat taster and the rest of it is all pro bambi.

  5. Wonderful article at Ace of Spades, it mirrors what Pat Caddell said, essentially the American press corp now itself is a threat to America. They lie, cover up for those in power! As Pat Cadell said, the media is the enemy of the American people!

“Krauthammer calls out his liberal colleagues, including Nina Totenberg and Mark Sheids, to their faces, and Nina Totenberg literally chuckles it off.

Let me explain why this is different than previous bias.

Previously, the press has been both biased in a partisan way and an in an ideological way, but usually the partisanship was driven by ideology. As you may have noticed, the press are great fans of gay marriage and abortion, and they shape their coverage to put the best possible face on these positions, and the worst possible face on opponents. (To the extent they feature contrary voices at all.)

That’s bias, of course. We’ve gotten used to that.

But in the Benghazi debacle, there is no possible ideological grounding to explain their bias. There is, I trust, no ideological movement that advocates for intelligence failures and the deaths of good-guy diplomats. There is no ideological movement in favor of reckless incompetence bordering on malice in providing security for consulates abroad (which, as a legal matter, are considered US territory).

There is no ideological movement — or at least there was not before — championing the government’s right to lie to the public about its failures in order to avoid accountability.

There is no room here where one can say, “Ah well, they can’t help but be pulled a bit to the left by their own beliefs.” Because no one champions the right of government to let people be murdered and then lie about it.

This isn’t ideological bias, then. This is pure advocacy for a political party. Obama’s embarrassment is not an ideological issue — or should not be. I hope we can all agree that a president should attend security briefings — especially as 9/11 approaches — and provide adequate warning and security for US government personnel. I hope we can all agree that the government does not suddenly gain a Right To Shamelessly Lie about its failures, simply because it finds it politically advantageous to do so.

But, as Nina Totenberg’s chuckle indicates, the press now in fact believes exactly these things — so long as the president we’re talking about is Democrat, and Obama in particular.”

  6. and watch how DC elitists Nina Totenberg chuckles, I happened to watch this episode on Friday, every single person, except for Charles, sounds like someone from the DC elitist cocktail party out-of-touch club…. oh I’m so great, I’m so smart… etc.
This is how the Roman republic became a Roman empire, those in power sat in their bubble, power became centralized, and those in the power centralized bubble had no idea how reviled, elitist, ignorant and out of touch they were from the rest of the country, otherwise known as the “bitter clingers”

Persuadable Voters’ Economic Woes Give Romney an Opening

When it comes to handling women’s health issues and foreign affairs, Dawn Massop Love sides with President Barack Obama. For closing tax loopholes and boosting small businesses, she trusts Mitt Romney to do the job.

“There’s a list of 100 items that need to be fixed in this country, and they’re probably 50-50 on them,” Love, 43, a marketing manager from Lafayette, Colorado says of Obama and Romney. “I’m waiting to decide, because I really need to hear a little bit more about their plans.”

Meet one of the persuadable voters who comprise about 18 percent of the likely electorate, according to the latest Bloomberg National Poll. They’re conflicted over which candidate to choose, confused and sometimes little-informed about their options, and they could hold the key to the presidential race. [snip]

They don’t love either candidate, so they’re just sitting back and waiting,” said J. Ann Selzer of Selzer & Co., the Des Moines, Iowa-based firm that conducted the poll. “These are people who are not as plugged in, their enthusiasm is low, and it’s a group that’s hard to connect to, because they’re not seeking that connection.”

    Romney Advantage

There’s more good news than bad for Romney for appealing to this group. It starts with the adage that undecided voters typically choose the challenger on Election Day, because they aren’t already sold on the incumbent.

The Bloomberg telephone survey of 789 likely voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points, contains more evidence that these voters are open to Romney. More of Romney’s supporters, 13 percent, said they could change their mind than Obama’s backers, only 11 percent of whom said they could still be influenced. That means more persuadable voters in the poll tilt Republican and lean in Romney’s direction on some issues.

They’re more apt than other likely voters to say the nation is on the wrong track — 71 percent compared to 59 percent of likely voters who said so — and have a dimmer view of Obama’s favorability, with 45 percent of them holding a positive impression compared to 52 percent among voters overall. They also dislike Romney in smaller numbers; 41 percent of persuadable voters held an unfavorable view of him compared with 49 percent of likely voters.

    Wrong Track

Persuadable voters are more convinced of the economic case Romney has made than they are of Obama’s, with 41 percent saying the Republican has laid out a better vision for a successful future compared to 25 percent saying the president has. Likely voters overall preferred Obama’s economic vision, 47 percent to 44 percent.

The poll shows these voters are disproportionately located in Midwestern states — the area on which much of the election is being fought — with 34 percent of them living there compared with 25 percent of likely voters. [snip]

In follow-up interviews after the poll, some wavering voters said they were waiting to watch next month’s three presidential debates, hoping for policy details that might help them decide whom to support. [snip]

Other persuadable voters said they had tuned out much of what they were hearing about the presidential campaign because they would rather not listen to negative advertisements and speeches that do little to illuminate either candidate’s position.

  8. Great job, Admin! I’m taping the UNIVISION program tonight and can’t wait to read comments tomorrow. Earlier today, I saw Ray Ramos on another excellent UNIVISION show featuring a Dem & Repub from the Hispanic community, discussing the economy and immigration issues. Great questions and vigorous debate. Hispanics/Latinos are watching!! This election far from a done deal for BO.

Could this be the information that White House Insider expected to cause this administration to crumble from? The metric to watch after this program airs is support in the Hispanic community. Granted, the MSM will try to cover up the real polling data, but that should not be able to mask any sizable erosion. Willard also needs to highlight this in EVERY debate with Obumbles is standing right next to him.

  10. Here is the WHI’s latest post, its about the Univision special

“A soon to be aired report on Univision, one of the largest Spanish-speaking television networks in the United States, is said to have uncovered what a figure close to the Congressional investigation into the Obama Fast and Furious scandal as the “Holy Grail” of information that apparently was, to this point, unavailable to Congress.

…Univision’s Investigative Unit (Univision Investiga) has identified massacres committed using guns from the ATF operation, including the killing of 16 young people attending a party in a residential area of Ciudad Juárez in January of 2010.

Additional guns, previously unreported by congressional investigators, found their way into the hands of drug traffickers across Latin America in countries such as, Honduras and Colombia, as well as the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. A person familiar with the recent congressional hearings called Univision’s findings “the holy grail” that Congress had been searching for. LINK

This comment left at the bottom of the linked story makes a very simple point – one that remains largely unanswered by those within the Obama administration:
    Read more in News
« Allen West Knows How To Throw A Punch…

“I have just one question or an observation. I have been researching this for several years. This is what does not add up…Do you honestly think that a field operations supervisor would embark in arming the most violent criminals on Earth with weapons without approval from the top of the food chain? Didn’t think so. I have no doubt this leads directly to the Oval Office. Mark my words on this. There is no other rational explanation. Also of note: Fast and Furious was only one of four similar operations going on simultaneously. This is a lot bigger than you think.”

Why would Hispanic voters continue to support an Obama administration that willfully caused through incompetence or intent, the killing of so many of their civilians across the border?

And just as Barack Obama placed weapons into the hands of drug cartels in Mexico that led to the deaths of innocent civilians, did he also arm dangerous factions in Libya with even more deadly weapons that are now being used to kill civilians in the Middle East – including those four Americans killed in Benghazi?

    Gracias, Tim!

  12. Well I am trying to be positive but Pat Cadell and others wereon Fox, really not optimistic.

We all know the debates are in the bag for the fraud. He doesn’t need to be anything but eye candy.

Romney is tooo nice, he keeps saying the fraud is nice. WTF.

    Passion, Mitt, hit him hard

The media doesn’t like you no matter how nice you are. Forget about it. FIGHT MITT FIGHT.

We have a candidate who is going to do extraordinarily well on Wednesday night. … I’ve seen Mitt Romney do this before. He’s gonna’ come in Wednesday night, he’s going to lay out his vision for America, he’s going to contrast what his view is and what the president’s record is, and the president’ view for the future, and this whole race is going to turn upside down come Thursday morning. … What he’s going to be doing on Wednesday night is not going to be filtered by anybody. … The American people are going to get 90 minutes to look these two men right in the eye in their living rooms, and make a judgment on their vision for the future…

  14. The Univision program is on in the East Coast. You might have to press the closed captioning button on the remote control several times to get the English translation.

  15. WTF!!!!!!!!!

Check this out. Univision’s Chairman’s wife appointed to UN on September 20. Her husband wrote a NYT editorial supporting the POS’s Israel position a month ago.

    Are we getting punked again?

The White House announced Wednesday it has nominated Cheryl Saban, the wife of Univision chairman Haim Saban, to be a representative of the United States to the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Her husband founded Saban Entertainment—the production studio behind “Power Rangers”—in the 1980s. Haim Saban is a major Democratic donor, personally giving more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and committees in the 2012 election cycle. He has donated at least $333,333 to the Obama-affiliated Super PAC Priorities USA, which is best known for an ad suggesting Republican nominee Mitt Romney was responsible for a woman’s death, as well as $325,520 to Majority PAC, a Super PAC touted by Sen. Harry Reid (D., Nev.)….

Cheryl Saban’s nomination comes less than a month after her husband penned a New York Times op-ed defending President Obama’s Israel record.

    Is this another f**kin setup?

  16. Basil99, at the link we posted there are several videos on the reporting by Univision on Fast and Furious. They are all very good. We’ve been told tonight’s program thus far is very good and very powerful.

  17. Good news. I can’t watch but have read at other blogs that in light of the suspect connections between Univision and the WH the gist of the report might be lobbying for gun control.

  18. The nomination is probably some “silver coins” type thing in hopes that they[univision] go easy on Barry, like Telemondo does.

  19. ok, my spanish is not too good, but it seems like they might be saying Zapata, the US border patrol agent (not Brian Terry), Zapata was on the road in Mexico when gunned down in his vehicle, that he was killed with a gun from F&F, they are interviewing his parents, who are US citizens, hispanic, they think their son was killed by a gun from F&F?

  20. what happened? now its some dance show on. is this a 3 part investigation on 3 different days?? this didn’t cover any of what was in the preview.

  21. I checked the twitterfall tweets and they were unanimous in praising Univision. Some said the POS is toast with Hispanics, the DOJ didn’t care about dead Mexicans, the guns are still being used, etc.

Many ragging on US media for not bothering to provide similar extensive coverage of F&F.

Others saying how brave the reporters in the program are for visiting such dangerous territory. Dozens of Hispanic journalists have been murdered over the past few years.

I didn’t know Ramos was narrating. That makes me feel better.

  22. OTOH, Here’s on HA poster’s take at the program’s conclusion:

“It turned out to be an indictment on the second amendment. Ramos let the guy he’s gonna vote for skate. We should have seen it coming. Fooled again.”

  23. I don’t get it. It was only 1/2 hour and it covered nothing from the preview, so it looks like the bribery of the owner’s wife with an ambassadorship worked. If this was it, and nothing more, this was not anything like the preview, maybe they had all the reports lined up and pulled it after they got a call from the boss.

  24. Here’s the conclusion of another viewer.

Just saw the report by Univision. Ramos NEVER mentioned Eric “My People” Holder being declared in Contempt of Congress and Executive Privilege being asserted on the documents Issa asked for.

Ramos from Univision is BIASED on this report, leading to the conclusion of circling the wagons around Obama, the One that granted amnesty to illegal immigration. The only thing Ramos states at the end is how INFLEXIBLE the American people are about “their” (Ramos I believe is a U.S. citizen) Second Amendment and how Americans opposed gun control laws.

Well, Ramos, this is the United States of America, not the United States of Mexico where there is no Second Amendment and Mexicans cannot defend themselves from crime. The corrupt police, army, and government in their country is at fault for not allowing people to defend themselves. The ENFORCEMENT of existing laws are key, no gun regulations, which apparently Obama and his cronies wanted to do by allowing the arms to walk to Mexico.

    Pixel_Dust_1776 on September 30, 2012 at 8:15 PM

  25. I must have missed the beginning 1/2 hour, the second 1/2 hour was decent and in depth. but overall, it seems very sugar coated, if nothing hard hitting was covered in the first 1/2 hour, this entire thing was not that investigative. I’ll give them props for at least having a special of some sort, the american media did nothing, CBS was the only one, the rest were too busy covering for Bambi. overall, not that impressive, looks like the bribery of an ambassadorship worked.

  26. Reason for optimism?

Currently, 43% of voters are “certain” they will vote for Romney. Forty-two percent (42%) are that certain they will vote for Obama. The remaining 15% are either uncommitted or open to changing their mind. To many Americans, especially partisan activists, it is hard to imagine how someone could be anything but certain at this point in time. One of the distinguishing features of these potentially persuadable voters is that they don’t see the choice between Romney and Obama as terribly significant. In terms of impacting their own life, just 28% say it will be Very Important which man wins.

There is particular pessimism among these persuadable voters about the economy. Only 14% think it will get better if the president is reelected. But just 28% believe it will improve with a Romney victory.

  27. I don’t like pasting other posters comments often, especially when I can’t let the poster know as with this HA comment but I don’t have commenting privileges there.

Anyway, Pixel Dust, who speaks Spanish provides an interesting take on the UV FF report.

I saw the video (I speak Spanish) and Ramos (the so called “journalist” with the gray hair) NEVER mentions Holder, nor Obama in shape or form in regards to declaring Executive Privilege nor Holder found in Contempt of Congress for REFUSING to provide the requested documents that were and are still being withheld.

It is a FALSE hit piece on Obama. It is a hit piece on the United States of America, our Second Amendment, and how we are “not willing to compromise on gun control). In his liberal mind, gun control is the solution in the United States of America, having a definite impact on gun crime south of the border.

The entire so called “bombshell” can be summarized as “The United States of America is GUILTY for the gun violence in Mexico and GUN CONTROL LAWS must be passed to fix the problem”

What Ramos fails to see is that gun control in Mexico has empowered the criminals to roam free and the law abiding Mexican citizen finds himself at the bottom of the shooting barrel and nowhere to go.

    Pixel_Dust_1776 on September 30, 2012 at 8:43 PM

  28. Admin, thanks for your statements about Hillary. In her responses to the attack, she stood up for America’s absolute and constitutional right of free speech, unlike her boss, who seemed more worried about offending the Muslim terrorists than about the victims of the attack.

Regarding media bias, the Caddell video was excellent, and has received a lot of exposure. Question is, what can be done about the abuse of power by MSM, as they attempt to manipulate voters and to impact election outcomes? A massive, organized effort is needed, something to make the sponsors and advertisers think twice about the networks and programs they give their money to.

The fact that Dems haven’t called for the (at the least) resignation of Holder says much about the Party of Obama. It’s hard to believe they have so little concern about the fact that the Attorney General is nothing but a thug. The fall of the Dem Party is paralleling the decline of the country, under Obama.

  29. I guess Wednesday’s debate , based on the GOP talking heads, will make or
break Romney. I am not optimistic that he will come off as great as some, like
    Christie think.

On January 30, 2010, a commando of at least 20 hit men parked themselves outside a birthday party of high school and college students in Villas de Salvarcar, Ciudad Juarez. Near midnight, the assassins, later identified as hired guns for the Mexican cartel La Linea, broke into a one-story house and opened fire on a gathering of nearly 60 teenagers. Outside, lookouts gunned down a screaming neighbor and several students who had managed to escape. Fourteen young men and women were killed, and 12 more were wounded before the hit men finally fled.

Indirectly, the United States government played a role in the massacre by supplying some of the firearms used by the cartel murderers. Three of the high caliber weapons fired that night in Villas de Salvarcar were linked to a gun tracing operation run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), according to a Mexican army document obtained exclusively by Univision News.

Univision News identified a total of 57 more previously unreported firearms that were bought by straw purchasers monitored by ATF during Operation Fast and Furious, and then recovered in Mexico in sites related to murders, kidnappings, and at least one other massacre.

As part of Operation Fast and Furious, ATF allowed 1,961 guns to “walk” out of the U.S. in an effort to identify the high profile cartel leaders who received them. The agency eventually lost track of the weapons, and they often ended up in the hands of Mexican hit men , including those who ordered and carried out the attack on Salvarcar and El Aliviane, a rehabilitation center in Ciudad Juarez where 18 young men were killed on September 2, 2009.

In Mexico, the timing of the operation coincided with an upsurge of violence in the war among the country’s strongest cartels. In 2009, the northern Mexican states served as a battlefield for the Sinaloa and Juarez drug trafficking organizations, and as expansion territory for the increasingly powerful Zetas. According to documents obtained by Univision News, from October of that year to the end of 2010, nearly 175 weapons from Operation Fast and Furious inadvertently armed the various warring factions across northern Mexico.

“Many weapons cross the border and enter Mexico, but that [Fast and Furious] number, quantity and type of weapons had quite an impact in the war in this area” Jose Wall, an ATF agent stationed in Tijuana from 2009 to 2011, told Univision News.

Following the death of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry at the hands of Mexican bandits on December 14, 2010, media and Congressional investigations prompted hearings. On September 20, the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General report, which opened the door for sanctions of 14 ATF and DOJ officials.

In Washington, the Fast and Furious scandal became politicized, diverting the attention from the human cost in Mexico to political battles on Capitol Hill. In June, a vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt ignored the real tragedy in Mexico.

“Americans are not often moved by the pain of those outside [their country]…” Javier Sicilia, a Mexican poet whose son was killed in the midst of the violence, told Univision News. “But they are moved by the pain of their own. Well, turn around and watch the massacres.”

The Univision News investigation also found ATF offices from states besides Arizona pursued similar misguided strategies. In Florida, the weapons from Operation Castaway ended up in the hands of criminals inColombia, Honduras and Venezuela (link audio crumpler), the lead informant in the case told Univision News in a prison interview.

“When the ATF stopped me, they told me the guns were going to cartels,” Hugh Crumpler, a Vietnam veteran turned arms trafficker, told Univision News. “The ATF knew before I knew and had been following me for a considerable length of time. They could not have followed me for two months like they said they did, and not know the guns were going somewhere, and not want for that to be happening.”

Other firearms under ATF surveillance were permitted to leave the country from Texas, according to court documents and the exclusive testimony of Magdalena Avila Villalobos, the sister of an ICE agent who survived a confrontation with cartel hit men on a rural highway in Mexico on February 15, 2011. His fellow agent, Jaime Zapata, was killed during the attacks.

“It’s not from Arizona and Fast and Furious,” Avila Villalobos told Univision News, speaking in her brother’s stead for the first time, “but it’s a very similar operation…” She later added, “Those weapons that have been recovered, it’s been confirmed that they were weapons used in the shootout that killed Jaime Zapata and wounded Victor Avila.”

The Texas-based operation and the firearms linked to the attack were bought by two trafficking rings in the state, according to Raymond Thomas, the Zapata family’s lawyer.

Earlier this year, Texas Senator John Cornyn had echoed Thomas’ assertions . Moreover, on September 25, Congressman Darrell Issa and Senator Charles Grassley, the politicians behind the Fast and Furious congressional report released in July, sent a letter to the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General, requesting an investigation into Avila’s and Zapata’s case.

The first half hour of the full hour show.

  31. The Obama administration issued new guidance intended for defense contractors Friday afternoon, reiterating the administration’s position that the companies should not be issuing layoff notices over sequestration.

The Labor Department issued guidance in July saying it would be “inappropriate” for contractors to issue notices of potential layoffs tied to sequestration cuts. But a few contractors, most notably Lockheed Martin, said they still were considering whether to issue the notices — which would be sent out just days before the November election.

But the Friday guidance from the Office of Management and Budget raised the stakes in the dispute, telling contractors that they would be compensated for legal costs if layoffs occur due to contract cancellations under sequestration — but only if the contractors follow the Labor guidance.

The guidance said that if plant closings or mass layoffs occur under sequestration, then “employee compensation costs for [Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification] WARN act liability as determined by a court” would be paid for covered by the contracting federal agency.

Senate Republicans, who accused the White House of trying to hide job losses after the first guidance, said Friday that the new OMB statement “puts politics ahead of American workers.”

“The Obama Administration is cynically trying to skirt the WARN Act to keep the American people in the dark about this looming national security and fiscal crisis,” Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) said in a statement. “The president should insist that companies act in accordance with the clearly stated law and move forward with the layoff notices.”

This just aggravates me to no end. The contractors are to violate the law per the OBAMA adminstration’s request and if they do and there is any legal problems, the taxpayers will foot the bill for any fines?

All to cover his behind prior to the election?

This is the biggest jackass excuse for a POTUS we have ever had.

We are losing in evey poll today. Romney seems content losing a gentleman like
campaign. Very frustrating only 36 days out.

    “Debbie Downer” strikes again.

  34. This administration has looted the Treasury. 80% of stimulus money went to bundlers and contributors. The press won’t say anything because they got some of the money; and the R’s won’t make a stink because they are hoping to do the same if they get into office.

    A balanced statement. 😉

  35. A friend sent me an email in response to Caddell, saying that the press is a convenient whipping boy for the Republican establishment who selected Romney, and made some comment about foot and mouth disease. He still keeps a candle burning for Houseman, who for me was, is, and will always be a non-starter. His tenure as Ambassador to China was crowned with no conspicous success. Here is my response, if you are interested or know people who take the same tack in their dealings with you:
Tom, this strikes a chord with me, because of what I saw in the 2008 primary. Here is a something I wrote about them at the time, in the form of a legal complaint. You and Carol were Hillary supporters in that contest, so you may recall some of this. It has nothing to do with Romney and Republicans for me. It has everything to do with the threat the malignant media poses to our democracy, which is real and palpable.

    1. Nature of Proceeding: This is a pro-forma civil complaint filed in the Court of American Public Opinion against Big Media as hereinafter defined for i) breach of fiduciary duty, ii) fraud on the American people, iii) discrimination on the basis of gender, and iv) conspiracy to hijack an election. The parties have waived their objections under the First Amendment and mutually agree that this action will proceed in the Court of American Public Opinion with all deliberate speed and without precedent.

    2. The Parties: The charging party is the American People (past, present and future). The defendant is the major television networks, newspapers and blogs hereinafter referred to as Big Media. The major newspapers are the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune. The major television networks are ABC (Disney), NBC (GE), CBS (Westinghouse) and the cable networks CNN (Time Warner), MSNBC (GE), FOX (Murdock). The blogs are Politico and Huffington Report. (Note: the television network coverage of the primary can be rated in terms of fairness from best to worst as follows: ABC, FOX, CBS, CNN, NBC/MSNBC).

    3. Stipulation: The following facts are not in dispute: a free society cannot endure without an honest press. Citizen journalists lack the professionalism, training and resources to fill that vital role. At one time, the small town newspaper did so. Thousands of them existed across the United States. Some were primitive, others were sophisticated but the one thing they had in common was a commitment to the well being of the community they served and a dedication to the truth. If now and then they fell short of that standard they would hear about it directly from their friends and neighbors. Thus, they were accountable to their audience.

Today the small town newspaper is gone. We have a different kind of institution in its stead and place, i.e. Big Media. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of multi-national corporations. Big Media is in the entertainment business, it survives by ratings, and it has no direct contact with its audience. The modern reporter is under severe pressure to meet deadlines. When the subject matter is complex Big Media cannot deal with it. Solid investigative journalism is a thing of the past. Thus, Big Media is unable to provide voters with the information they need to make wise decisions.

    4. Breach of Fiduciary Duty: The First Amendment prohibits government from abridging freedom of the press. In return, the press has a fiduciary duty to provide the public with a fair sense of the pros and cons of each candidate so the American People can make an informed decision at the ballot box. No function is more critical to our democracy.

    a. the standard: Big Media has a fiduciary duty to the American People to conduct a due diligence investigation into all candidates seeking high public office, to treat them with a decent respect, to provide fair and balanced coverage, and to act as an honest broker in the process. It must hold that duty inviolate from the personal opinions of pundits, editors and producers, and the business interests of its owners if it wishes to be taken seriously.

    b. the breach: Big Media breached its fiduciary duty when it failed to investigate: i) Obama’s toxic association with political fixer Rezko until Hillary mentioned it in a debate, ii) Obama’s 20 year association with his racist spiritual advisor Reverend Wright until FOX News broke the story, iii) allegations that Obama does not eligibility requirements to be president, iv) allegations that Obama has a illegitimate child by a white woman who he lived with for a year when he was attending Columbia Law School who he has failed to provide for, v) allegations that John Edwards had a love child until National Enquirer broke the story, vi) massive fraud in the caucuses which they refused to acknowledge and report on. (Note: if Big Media had done its job, investigated the Edwards story a year ago, and uncovered the massive fraud in the caucuses then Hillary Clinton would be the nominee.) Moreover, Big Media breached its fiduciary duty when it failed to act as an honest broker. Instead, it managed to present all the pros of Obama and all the cons of Hillary. Fortunately, many voters had a chance to meet the candidates as they traversed the country and make up their minds on that basis. Others had access to the internet where the truth could be learned if you found the right blogs. But at some point it became obvious to everyone that that Big Media is a dishonest broker. For many the moment of truth arrived when Saturday Night Live presented a skit showing how the late Tim Russert would attack Hillary and lob soft balls to Obama in the debates.

    c. damages: A democracy is most vulnerable at election time when there is a transfer of power. That is particularly true today. Big Media knows that Hillary is qualified for the job but they have demonized her to ensure she is not elected. Meanwhile Big Media knows that Obama is unqualified for the job but has deified him to the point that if he elected the country will have poor leadership whereas if he is rejected then there may be riots. This is not what Jefferson had in mind when he drafted the First Amendment. But how could he have ever known that the free press he believed in so earnestly would one day become Big Media– the wholly owned subsidiary and indentured servant of multi-national corporations?

    5. Fraud On The American People: During the 2008 Democratic Primary Big Media set out to destroy Hillary Clinton both as a candidate and as a person. The first step in their strategy was to perpetrate a fraud on the American People by playing the race card against her, swiftboating her and engaging in character assassination against Hillary and her supporters. They conspired with the Obama campaign and the DNC every step of the way.

    a. race card: To paraphrase Baltimore Sun writer H.L. Mencken, false claims of racism are the last bastion of scoundrels. Clearly, at MSNBC there is no shortage of scoundrels. When Hillary scored an upset victory in New Hampshire pundit Chuck Todd of Politico presented the Obama campaign spin that this was due to the “Bradley Effect” which is to say latent racism of white voters. Of course he had no hard evidence to support this destructive accusation. Never one to miss a hand-off pundit Eugene Robinson echoed the same sentiment, then backed off and then wrote a column affirming it. Meanwhile, CNN pundit and DNC member Donna Brazille twisted Bill Clinton’s comparison of the Jesse Jackson Sr. candidacy and his characterization of Obama’s Iraq position into a racial slur. In effect, she accused the most pro-African American President in history of being a racist. And they provided a forum for Jesse Jackson Jr. and Doug Wilder to make racist allegations and predict violence in Denver if Obama is not the nominee. This is the moral equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded theater.

    b. swift boating: Is defined as an ad hominem attack or smear campaign which is untrue and is intended to destroy the political credibility of a candidate. That is precisely what Big Media did to Hillary Clinton when she met with the editorial board of the Argus Leader in South Dakota, and cited the date of the assassination of Robert Kennedy in response to a question on why Big Media was trying to drive her out of the race. Whereupon MSNBC pundit Keith Olberman pounced on the statement, accused Hillary of wanting Obama assassinated and thereby swift boated her. Obama people then circulated the Olberman tape to journalists across the country. Michael Goodwin of the New York Daily News accused Hillary of evil reasons for staying in the race and wrote articles with hysterical headlines which screamed “Killer Gaff” and “Get Out!” Hillary issued an immediate apology for any misinterpretation, Robert Kennedy’s son stated no one should take offense and the Argus Leader editorial board defended it as well. Nevertheless, MSNBC and CNN harped on it for three days. This was a staged media event designed to force Hillary out of the race. The further motive was to prove she is a bad person—which she most certainly is not. On the morning of the South Dakota primary Hillary was swift boated again. In this case, the culprit was Associated Press reporter Beth Fouhey, who published a false report that Hillary would drop out that evening. The transparent motive was to suppress voter turn-out since the polls in South Dakota were moving in Hillary’s favor. The final irony is that after Hillary suspended her candidacy Fouhey wrote a piece claiming that the presidential race had grown dull and she wished Hillary were back in it.

    c. character assassination: Big Media parsed every word that Hillary spoke for some obscure negative connotation. When she made a speech about Bosnia and stated that she landed in a war zone (which was true), there was small arms fire (which was true in the surrounding Hills), and they had to run for cover (which was not accurate). So she embellished on a story to make a point. Political speeches are full of this kind of thing. It is done to make the stories interesting. It is only a lie when it relates to a material issue in the campaign and here it did not. By contrast, Obama changed his story nine times on whether he heard his spiritual advisor utter racist statements. That statement related directly to a material issue in the campaign, it was not true, therefore it was a lie, or rather nine of them.

How did Big Media respond? They called Hillary a liar for three solid days, whereas they ignored his multiple deceptions. Previously, they demanded that Hillary apologize for voting in favor of the Iraq Resolution even though many of them had supported it themselves at the time. When Hillary finally suspended her campaign an MSNBC cartoonist produced a cartoon of Hillary as an ugly dragon eyes closed tongue hanging out slain by Obama who is depicted as a smiling St. Christopher. Another media outlet produced a cartoon of Hillary kneeling before Obama with both arms cut off and him standing over her with a sword at parade rest again smiling with caption just a flesh wound. Big Media is pathological.

    6. Discrimination Based On Gender: During the 2008 Democratic Primary Big Media set out to destroy Hillary Clinton both as a candidate and as a person. The second step in their strategy was to dismiss the historic nature of her candidacy and engage in a pattern and practice of sexism against her. They conspired with the Obama campaign and DNC to do so.

    a. sexist attacks: From 2007 to early 2008 MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews launched a steady barrage of sexist attacks against presidential candidate and US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. The record is replete with examples, but in one series of tirades he called her a witch, a castrator, and a she-devil. When he finally got the vaudeville hook they assigned the role of attacking Hillary to another pundit Keith Olberman, a known degenerate. Thus, it wasn’t long before Olberman was saying naughty things like someone should take Hillary into a room and only one come out, i.e. physically beat her into quitting the race. Not to be outdone, the village idiot David Shuster accused Hillary and Bill of pimping out Chelsie. When Hillary wrote a letter to MSNBC protesting this attack on her daughter, he received a two week suspension and network staffers expressed sympathy for him. What this shows is that MSNBC has a culture of misogyny.

    b. ratification: there is no question that this pattern of sexism was known, condoned and promoted by MSNBC as a business strategy. They cannot deny knowledge of the problem because thousands of protest letters were sent to their designated flack catchers Steve Capus (Sr. Vice President, MSNBC) and Phil Griffin (Senior Vice President, NBC). I myself wrote 5 letters on the subject, one of them to the General Counsel. The National Organization for Women organized a protest against MSNBC to no particular avail. Nor can they deny this was a business strategy, because it is their job to know what is being said on their network, yet pundits continued to attack Hillary despite the public outcry. Thus, it is amazing that Griffin would deny that there was a problem with sexism at MSNBC as he did recently. Like Adolph Eichman he was merely following orders.

    c. evidence: Chris Matthews has a bad memory and so do others. As he prepares to launch a run for the Senate he seeks to rewrite history by claiming that the charges of sexism against him are overblown. Also of late, actress Susan Sarandon (idiot wind) has taken to criticizing Hillary for speaking out on the issue of sexism and how it affected the campaign. Lest we forget here is a short summary of some of Matthews’ sexist comments:

 I hate her. I hate her. All that she stands for.“ “She Devil“  “Nurse Ratched“  “Madame Defarge“  “Witchy“  “Anti-male“  “[U]ppity“  “She’s going to tell us what to do.“  “Her scolding manner in terms of her public speaking“  “[L]et’s talk about the troops …Will they take the orders?“  [D]oesn’t she know she looks like a fraud?“ Look at those eyes. Look at the cold eyes that she’s giving him. Look at that cold look.“  [L]ike a strip-teaser saying she’s flattered by the all the attention“ On Sen. Clinton’s endorsers: “castratos in the eunuch chorus“  “Let me tell you how short Hillary’s leash is.“  “Is she a convincing mom?“  On Sen. Clinton’s laugh: “What do you make of the cackle?“  [S]he’s clapping, like she’s Chinese. I know the Chinese clap at each other, but what is she clapping at? I mean, it’s like one of these wind-up things.“  “[S]he was giving a campaign barn-burner speech, which is harder to give for a woman; it can grate on some men when they listen to it — fingernails on a blackboard, perhaps.“  “Is there, out there in the country or out in the Atlantic Ocean, some gigantic monster — big, green, horny-headed, all kinds of horns coming out, big, aggressive monster of anti-Hillaryism that hasn’t shown itself: it’s based upon gender …“  “[B]eing surrounded by women, does that make a case for commander in chief — or does it make a case against it?“ “Is she hemmed in by the fact that she’s a woman and can’t admit a mistake, or else the Republicans will say, ‘Oh, that’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind,’ or ‘another fickle woman’? Is her gender a problem in her ability to change her mind?“  “[T]he reason she’s a U.S. senator, the reason she’s a candidate for president, the reason she may be a front-runner is her husband messed around.“  “She may have gotten The Des Moines Register’s endorsement the other day, thanks to her husband’s lobbying with its female editors

    7. Conspiracy To Hijack An Election: During the 2008 Democratic Primary Big Media set out to destroy Hillary Clinton both as a candidate and as a person. The third step in their strategy was to hijack the process by stamping Hillary with a negative brand, applying a double standard, depriving her of equal time and applying intense pressure to terminate her campaign. Once again, they conspired with the Obama campaign and the DNC every step of the way to do so.

    a. negative branding: on the eve of the primary season, CNN retained strategists developed a marketing strategy to brand Hillary Clinton as someone who is “divisive”, “polarizing”, “dishonest”, “untrustworthy”, “calculating”. Then they proceeded to repeat those adjectives again and again in the same manner that “biological warfare” and “weapons of mass destruction” were pounded across the air waves in the lead-up to the Iraq War. ABC resident lightweight Jake Tapper (aka Snark) compared Hillary to “Tanya Harding” implying that she would break Obama’s knees to steal his crown. And another pundit compared her to the deranged villainess in “Fatal Attraction” who continued to pursue the hero. Terry McAuliffe observed no candidate in history has received so much disrespect from Big Media.

    b. double standard: Big Media treated Obama with great respect and deference compared to Hillary. According to the Wall Street Journal they provided generous explanations for Obama and put the best possible gloss on his serial gaffs. For example, they characterized his dramatic reversals on issues like campaign finance reform, government surveillance, withdrawal timetable as a “shift his position”, “moving to the center as every candidate does in the general election” or “expanding his horizons”. When constituents criticized him for selling them out on an issue involving radioactive leakage NBC pundit Brian Williams sought to minimize its significance by calling it as “something of a political lesson”. And when he gave us nine different stories on whether he was present at Trinity Church on those days when Reverend Wright delivered his unpatriotic and racist sermons Big Media minimized the topic (with the obvious exception of FOX). In the debates Hillary showed an encyclopedic knowledge of the issues and her answers were clear, cogent and convincing. His were not. Yet Big MSNBC and CNN pundits called the debates a draw. Since his performance was poor they sought to dilute hers.

    c. unequal time: Big Media gave far more time to Obama than they did to Hillary during the latter half of the race. This was strange because her margins of victory were far greater in important states, i.e. West Virginia (41%) and Kentucky (35%). CNN would present a brief clip on her and then break away for extensive coverage of an Obama event or speech. They would cover his speech in its entirety without interruption. When it was concluded they would never come back and finish the piece on her. MSNBC would not allow pro-Clinton pundits on their panels, whereas CNN allowed pro-Clinton pundits Carville and Begala to appear but would not permit them to advocate whereas they did allow pro-Obama pundit Donna Brazille to advocate on his behalf without limitation. The Rassmussen polling service which was believed to be for Obama stopped tracking her numbers.

    d. terminate campaign: What Mark Twain said about himself could just a easily be said about Hillary: “rumors of my untimely (campaign) death have been greatly exaggerated”. From the night she lost Iowa, Big Media began predicting the imminent demise of her campaign. By February the New York Times publishing headlines like “With Skies Darkening Hillary Soldiers On”. Meanwhile the blogs were howling at the moon that her prospects were “fading fast”. When she debated Obama in Texas, MSNBC interpreted her closing remarks about party unity as a veiled concession speech. They used phony delegate math to convince the public that it was impossible for her to win the nomination and misrepresented the role of superdelegates. When Hillary suspended her candidacy Associated Press misrepresented her status by calling her the “defeated” candidate, the “vanquished” candidate and the “losing” candidate. They failed to report that she won the popular vote, the electoral math and was therefore the most electable candidate.

    8. Quid Pro Quo: MSNBC led the attack on Hillary. They did this because they wanted Obama to be President and she stood in his way. What did they expect to get in return? The obvious answer would be access to the pinnacle of government like FOX has had with the Bush Administration these past eight years. Also, they saw him as an exciting new product that would increase their viewing audience and drive ratings. For better or worse, they tied their credibility to his. In the case of MSNBC it may well be the latter.

But the real reason may go deeper. The parent company of MSNBC and NBC is General Electric. They are a large contributor to Obama and so are their individual employees. Why? Barack is a big supporter of nuclear energy. In fact, Illinois has more nuclear plants than any other state. Those nuclear plants use cores produced by GE. But the biggest reason why GE supports Obama, is because General Electric along with Westinghouse and three consortiums plans to build 29 nuclear plants in the near term. A company that wants to build 29 nuclear plants needs a federal loan guarantee in order to proceed because private banks regard it as too speculative and indeed the Congressional Budget Office rated the risk of default as higher than 50 percent. Nevertheless, Obama voted in favor of it. GE stands to get a lot of money if Obama becomes President.

If this is the ultimate explanation then it points to a serious threat to our democracy. If business interests can take over the media and the government, then they can control our thinking much as a dictatorship would. This is not a case of first impression. When my dad was at University of Southern California Law School in the late 1930s there was talk about this. The Dean of Harvard Roscoe Pound published an article entitled “Corporations: The New Serfdom”. During the 1950’s President Eisenhower warned us of the perils of the so-called military-industrial complex. Today, the business interests are global and the concern is real and palpable. Ideally, there would be a wall of separation between business and government as there is with religion.

    9. An Equitable Remedy: The Court of American Public Opinion is a figment of our imagination. It is an equitable court therefore its mandate is “to do justice and that not by halves”. To that end, the moving party beseeches this Court to do the following:

    a. declaratory judgment: that Big Media as it exists today is neither an accurate source of relevant information nor a credible one relative to the political process. Sadly, time and again it has failed to tell the American People the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Therefore the American people are advised to ignore its edicts and to accept nothing it says as true unless supported by testimony of 2 sworn witnesses.

    b. divestiture: there is an inherent conflict of interest between the role of a news organization which is to provide objective reporting for the public good, and the countervailing role of a multi-national corporation to promote its business interests regardless of anything else. This conflict is exposed by the comments of former Chairman of General Electric Jack Welch in his acclaimed book Winning. He describes how after GE acquired NBC a hostage situation developed at NBC’s News Division where the leaders “openly and brazenly questioned GE’s ability to manage a journalistic enterprise . . . and put together a budget which made money.” As you can see from these comments, when a multi-national company owns a news organization and the firewalls are removed it will ultimately reflect the business interests of the parent company. When that happens it is no longer a legitimate news organization. Therefore, we pray that General Electric be ordered to divest itself of its holdings in NBC and MSNBC in their entirety within a period not to exceed 180 days, and that this Court retain jurisdiction until such time as that order has been fully and effectively complied with.

    c. just compensation: we pray that the Big Media whores and headliners who participated in this psychodrama be awarded the compensation they rightfully deserve for their contributions to human misunderstanding, to wit: a padded cell for Olberman; a year supply of time release Prozac for Matthews; a dunce cap for Schuster; a week in the wooden stocks for MSNBC and NBC executives who denied there was a problem when they knew there was one; a copy of story of Faust for Brazille; a rat suit for Todd; a clown suit for Robinson; a broomstick for Modo; a Dudley Do Right RCMP uniform for Brian Williams. And because Russert is now before St. Peter we ask this Court to defer to his judgment– which should not take long.

  36. I wrote that in the summer of 2009. What I had not figured out by then was the why of it. I could certainly see the quid pro quo angle at that time, but I failed to appreciate the deeper logic. The deeper motive is class warfare, incest, and control of the political system. The class warfare consists of a preference for grand bargains which bring the wealth of the nation into Washington where they just happen to live. The incest is everywhere in Washington– scions of big media are married to people in governmnet–or work in the revolving door of the Obama press department which sends big media 12 emails per day, and monitors their coverage. Control of the political system is their ultimate goal. To that end, they select what to report and what not to report. They push their favored candidates, and destroy their opponents.

  37. Governor Pat Quinn (D-Il) wants a federal bail-out of the bankrupt pension funds of state government workers in Illionis. If that is allowed to happen then Governor Moonbeam (D-Ca) will not be far behind.

Quinn is part of the Illionis Combine. He is the unfortunate result of the love scene in deliverance. If politicians in Illiois made bad bargains on behalf of the state and favorable to government unions, I fail to see why that should be the American taxpayers problem. They derived no benefit from the labors of those state workers and did not elect the politicans who gave the store away. Therefore, undert the time honored principle that the punishment should fit the crime, I say that is a bail-out is necessary, that responsibility should devolve to the taxpayers of Illionis, who elected the boobs who made the bad deal, and derived whatever benefit those services provided. But under no circumstances should this debt burden by laid off on all Americans. That is not accountability.

  38. If BO is winning big, why am I getting MANY,MANT emails from Pelosi and others I’ve never heard of EVERY DAY? I never open them, however, I suspect they are begging for money and trying to shore up the base. After Hillary, do they really think I’d contribute one penny to the fraud?

  39. Oh look PPP is pulling back on its Ohio, saying Obama has big demographic problems with independents…..they have him leading by 4% on a +5 dem bias and a bigger share of Dems than both 08 and 10.

Sample is 41% Dem, 36% Rep, Ind 23%….now with recent demo graphic changes we have seen with Dems losing over 400,000 voters in Ohio and Inds up nearly 500,000 in Ohio, there is no way the Dem share in Ohio in 12 will be 41%, it was Dem 39% in 08, Dem 38% in 10, so why they think Ohio will be 41% Dem in 12 is beyond me….Also notice their little trick of 54% women and 46% men.

PPP suddenly now saying Obama is not popular in the state, told you, here come the dial back polls from today onwards, Pollsters know from today they have to start making the right polling.

Told you the Dems are very worried about Ohio and so they should be.

  40. People were getting 3 emails yesterday begging for money from Dems, i understand last night was a very important filing deadline at midnight.

  41. so here we go with the pullback, suddenly two new polls today will show Obama up only on Romney at 49-47.

Told you, its October the 1st, they have done their pushing, they now have to start aligning them properly, watch them pull it back, week after week.

This is how the Roman republic became a Roman empire, those in power sat in their bubble, power became centralized, and those in the power centralized bubble had no idea how reviled, elitist, ignorant and out of touch they were from the rest of the country, otherwise known as the “bitter clingers”

That is such a great description of what’s happening. Thanks.

  43. Lying snake Evan Byah on Fox and Friends explaining and against the medical device tax in the RationCare law. Scumbag. He votes for it in 2010, defends it in 2010, and now says, yes it harms companies and American.

THEN EVAN BYAH WHY THE F**K DID YOU VOTE FOR IT!?! A$$HOLE! and the Fox reporter won’t even ask him that basic question! Lying scumbag snakes, all of them! Now he says “we have do something about it”.

what a scumbag Evan Byah is!

  44. uh. apologies for the cursing this early in the morning. Shouldn’t have turned on the tv.
going to go walk the dogs.

  45. I had no idea how bad this play was… the really have pulled out all the monstrous fascist stops haven’t they…

    Innocence of Mormons

How two cultures respond to criticism.
    OCT 8, 2012, VOL. 18, NO. 04 • BY JOHN PODHORETZ

In New York City, at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre on West 49th Street, Broadway audiences are spending $1.6 million per week to attend The Book of Mormon, a no-star extravaganza advertised solely by the words “the new musical from the creators of South Park.” It is the most ecstatically praised and blissfully attended production since Mel Brooks’s The Producers. It won nine Tony Awards. It did not receive a single negative review.

In light of the world-shaking controversy surrounding The Innocence of Muslims, the 14-minute YouTube movie/video/trailer, and the undeniable insult it delivers to the Prophet of Islam, I thought it might be worth summarizing the plot of The Book of Mormon in detail for those who haven’t seen it, because there are some similarities between the two.

The Book of Mormon tells the story of two 18-year-olds raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have both completed their training as missionaries, and do not know where they will be sent to seek converts to their faith. One, Elder Price, is clean-cut, well-tailored, and devout. His dream is to be sent to Orlando, his vision of paradise on earth. The other, Elder Cunningham, is a fat, sloppy, science fiction-obsessed compulsive liar, and an embarrassment to his parents. “You’re making things up again, Arnold,” is the refrain Cunningham always hears.

To Price’s disappointment, he is sent to Uganda; to his horror, Cunningham is assigned as his partner. When they arrive at their mission in a remote village, they meet other missionaries who tell them to apply what they take to be the church’s philosophy to difficult situations and difficult thoughts: “Turn it off. Like a light switch.” A sister dies of cancer? Turn it off. Gay thoughts in fifth grade? Turn them off.

A local gang lord harasses the people of the village, who are riven with AIDS. They do a big production number in which they teach the missionaries the song they sing to ward off their bad thoughts: “Hasa Diga Eebowai.” It means, “F— you, God.”

Price preaches the Word; no one listens, but he refuses to buckle under. “I am a Mormon, and a Mormon just believes,” he says. “I believe that ancient Jews built boats and came to America. .  .  . I believe God has a plan that involves me getting my own planet.” He confronts the warlord and, in response, the warlord literally takes the Book of Mormon and shoves it up Price’s posterior (we see an X-ray picture of his stomach). This causes Price to lose his faith.

Meanwhile, Elder Cunningham learns there is an idea abroad in the village that if a man has sex with a baby, it will cure his AIDS. In desperation, he begins to spin a tale of Joseph Smith, the founder of his church—that he, too, had had AIDS and was going to have sex with a baby until God came down to him and said he should have sex with a frog instead. Upon learning of the practice of female circumcision, Cunningham goes on to say that Brigham Young, who took leadership of the Mormon church after Joseph Smith’s murder, had circumcised his daughter—and that God had punished him by turning his nose into a clitoris.

The entire village converts. Leaders of the church arrive excitedly to see this great missionary accomplishment and are greeted by a pageant staged by the villagers acting out Cunningham’s story. The leaders are, of course, outraged, and demand that Price and Cunningham return to America in disgrace. But Price sees the good Cunningham has done in the village, and that all religions are just stories anyway, and they turn his tall tale into a new faith—The Book of Arnold. The compulsive liar has become the new prophet. Even the warlord who violated Price converts. The curtain falls. The applause is deafening.

Cartoonish, cheerfully sophomoric, and often hilarious it might be, but The Book of Mormon is far more insulting to the LDS church than The Innocence of Muslims is to Islam. Its creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (working with Robert Lopez), have said that they were moved to write the show because they were amused by the discrepancy between how nice Mormons are and how ridiculous their religion is.

Stone and Parker are equal opportunity offenders—despisers of religion. They first came to public
attention with a short film in which Jesus kills Santa Claus (“there can be only one”). They made a show insulting Scientology that ran afoul of their cable channel’s parent company and its relationship with leading Scientologist Tom Cruise. And they made an episode of South Park ripping the
censorship of the Danish newspaper cartoons parodying Muhammad—only to have the episode itself censored by their cable channel after a jihadist threatened their lives.

    Innocence of Mormons

How two cultures respond to criticism.

But in this case, they chose their target wisely. How have Mormons greeted The Book of Mormon? In a word, nicely. The church’s official statement was this: “The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening, but the Book of Mormon as a volume of scripture will change people’s lives forever by bringing them closer to Christ.” Asked about it in December 2011, Mitt Romney said, “I do want to see it, sure. It’s a Tony Award-winner, big phenomenon—yeah, I want to see it someday. But I don’t have a lot of time for Broadway shows.”

In his equanimity, Romney expressed not a thousandth of the horror at the blasphemy tossed at his faith that has characterized the Obama administration’s reception of The Innocence of Muslims. The repetition of the words “reprehensible” and “disgusting” in relation to the YouTube video by the president and secretary of state and others suggests that there was, and is, something uniquely awful about The Innocence of Muslims that demanded their outraged intercession.

The Book of Mormon demonstrates that there was, and is, nothing uniquely awful about it. It’s just a sustained assault on people whom the creators feel no need to appease—in this case, a small number of Americans toward whom Barack Obama and those like him in the American cultural elite—aggressive in their demands that minorities be respected and honored—feel no commonality and no common civic responsibility whatsoever.

Lying snake Evan Byah on Fox and Friends explaining and against the medical device tax in the RationCare law. Scumbag. He votes for it in 2010, defends it in 2010, and now says, yes it harms companies and American.
Follow the money. His wife is an executive with one of the drug companies who is a direct beneficiary of Obama care. Like so many others in Washington it is incestuous. It is why this political system routinely pits the connected insiders against the American People. To compound the problem, he was against it before he was for it, and when he turned his constitutents lost faith in him. A close friend of mine knows him and worked for his father. She lost all faith in the man.

Correct. Even with unbiased pollsters like Rassmussen, a 9% response from voters calls into question any result they come up with.

More important however, the junk science of polling relies on a representative cross section of the electorate (registered vs likely voters, depending on the poll). But if Republicans fail to partipate, then how representative can it be? How valid is the statistical analysis?

The Orwellian press has re defined yet another world in our vocabulary: evolving.

The next time a cross examiner catches a lying witness in a prior inconsistent statement and asks the inevitable question: are you lying now, were you lying then, or are you not in fact a chronic and habitual liar, Obama has given us the perfect response:

Lying? Who said anything about lying? I was simply evolving.

    Messiah Obama.

Since he is by self proclamation, God, the law and no less the truth are whatever he says they are, and they must evolve in order to meet changging circumstances. Consistency after all is the hobgoblin of small minds–not big brains like Obama who steps on his dick every time he is caught without a teleprompter.
True law is right reason in agreement with nature; it is of universal application, unchanging and everlasting; it summons to duty by its commands, and averts from wrong-doing by its prohibitions. And it does not lay its commands or prohibitions upon good men in vain, though neither have any effect on the wicked. It is a sin to try to to sic alter this law, nor is it allowable to attempt to repeal any part of it, and it is impossible to abolish it entirely. We cannot be freed from its obligations by senate or people, and we need not look outside ourselves for an expounder or interpreter of it. And there will not be different laws at Rome and at Athens, or different laws now and in the future, but one eternal and unchangeable law will be valid for all nations and all times, and there will be one master and ruler, that is, God, over us all, for he is the author of this law, its promulgator, and its enforcing judge. Whoever is disobedient is fleeing from himself and denying his human nature, and by reason of this very fact he will suffer the worst penalties, even if he escapes what is commonly considered punishment.

  52. correction: if truth evolved to meet changing circumstances, including new evidence, that would be one thing. But when the truth is evaded in order to meet POLITICAL EXIGENCIES, then it enjoys no presumption of validity and raises an irrebuttable presumption that what you are dealing with is a lying cocksucker who aims to sink the nation to save his own sorry ass.

  53. More proof that the nation is disintegrating under Obama. Yet businessmen like the head of Costco sing his praises. When it comes to politics, the man is ignorant as a swan. Sinegal, not Obama. Obama is malevolent and narcissitic.

    Obama’s poker tells

President Obama has a number of “poker tells” which he displays when answering questions. They betray an increasing distance between his reply and the truth.

Talk show hosts love when the president gives one of his very rare press conference or any other occasion when he is off prompter. That is when these “tells” surface, giving all veteran Obama observers the verbal heads-up that the president has entered the land of thinly disguised fantasy or obvious dissembling.

First, the president begins a pattern of “ahs” and “uhmms” which are as embarrassing as they are revealing. The awkward pausing punctuated by these semi-stutters increases in frequency as the president senses his own flailing about.

Next, the president begins filibustering. His average length of answer in every press conference is already epic, but he has been getting worse as the presidency has dragged on. Pressers are not battles between the “reporters” and the president. Very few not named Jake or Ed bother the president with fastballs. The struggle is simply between the president and the effort he has to land the plane anywhere near where it took off, so far does he wander as he rambles through the minutes he is obliged to spend appearing to take questions.

The president will allegedly be subject to time limits on Wednesday night, but his contempt for most such rules almost guarantees he will blow through every limit and dare the moderator or Mitt Romney to challenge him.

If either does, we will be treated to “tell No. 4,” the president’s feigned outrage that anyone would interrupt or question him. When this happens, his countenance displays a disapproving sneer and his voice clouds with displeasure. It is practiced. It is also profoundly anti-democratic and arrogant, and if he plays this card on this stage, it will backfire.

Watch as well for nonresponsive self-pity, verbal essays on how difficult it was when he took over and how hard he has been working. Self-pity and self-regard are not designed to endear him to the unemployed or even the economically fragile, so he will be coached to try to avoid displaying his sense of outrage at being thought a failure or “in over his head,” but the president’s sense of his own immensity is so great as to blow past such base political calculations.

Finally, watch for the parade of straw men, the president’s favorite rhetorical trick. He will set up arguments that have never been made in the service of Republican goals that have never existed, and then he will denounce both. If the appearance of a straw man serves as a trigger in a drinking game, many bottles will empty by the end of Debate No. 1.

So the president enters the debate a prohibitive favorite to clobber Mitt Romney. But if Benghazi or the unemployment rate surfaces, if the president’s failure to remedy joblessness, spark a serious recovery, or in any way pose an obstacle to Iran’s nuclear ambitions are brought up in the course of Wednesday night’s first big debate, then watch for these verbal ticks and know that Romney is scoring.

I am not playing drinking game with Obama in a debate, you wont make it past the first question without being drunk and don’t forget if you hear “Let me be clear” it is always followed by a lie.

  56. If I was Romney, i would keep interrupting him every chance i got, it will throw Obama off the game completely, he is so totally into himself that anyone would dare interrupt him, it would set him off on his petulant mood and that is what Romney needs to pull out.

  58. “The Office of Management and Budget Friday reinforced a Labor Department ruling that federal contractors need not issue notices of impending layoffs to employees related to the looming budget sequester. OMB said agencies would cover contractors’ “liability and litigation costs” related to such notices if they follow Labor’s guidelines.”
“In order to “further minimize the potential for waste and disruption associated with the issuance of unwarranted layoff notices,” the OMB officials specified that under certain circumstances, “liability and litigation costs associated with WARN Act compliance” would be covered by federal agencies.”

My read is that the OMB says: “don’t follow the law and if you get sued, the govt will cover the costs.

  59. Hence why believe nothing.

One of the most amazing — and significant — statistics of this election season has gone almost completely unnoticed:

Only 9% of sampled households gave an answer to pollsters in 2012:

It has become increasingly difficult to contact potential respondents and to persuade them to participate. The percentage of households in a sample that are successfully interviewed – the response rate – has fallen dramatically. At Pew Research, the response rate of a typical telephone survey was 36% in 1997 and is just 9% today.

The general decline in response rates is evident across nearly all types of surveys, in the United States and abroad. At the same time, greater effort and expense are required to achieve even the diminished response rates of today. These challenges have led many to question whether surveys are still providing accurate and unbiased information. You read that correctly: In any attempted poll or survey, only 9% of attempted contacts come back with an actual response.

That means 91% of sampled households are NOT having their opinions recorded by pollsters.

Breaking down the numbers a bit, we can see that this is due to two reasons: 38% of the households contacted were unreachable in the first place, leaving only a 62% “contact rate.” But among that 62%, only 14% “cooperated” with the pollsters; the remaining 86% of contactees presumably slammed down the phone or simply refused to answer. Since 86% of 62% of the population are non-cooperators, that leaves us with the astonishing conclusion that…
53% of Americans actively refuse to answer poll questions.

The real breakdown chart should look like this:

    38% could not be reached
53% were contacted but actively refused to answer
9% cooperated and answered the polling questions

    Or, put another way:
Out of every 7 people contacted by pollsters, only 1 will answer the polling question, while the remaining 6 refuse to answer.

Six to one, people; six to one. Think about that for a second.

What are those 53% thinking — and why would they purposely refuse to cooperate with pollsters?

Furthermore, where are those unreachable 38%? At work? On drugs? Curled up in a fetal position under the couch?

Pew goes on to claim that, despite the appallingly low cooperation rate in 2012, they think their estimates of public opinion are fairly accurate in any case.

That may have been true in past years, but we won’t know this year until after the election how accurate the polls were.

But now also consider these newly released stats showing that distrust of the media has hit an all-time high, and most importantly that Republicans and independents are twice as likely to distrust the media as Democrats:There’s only one possible conclusion to reach: That the non-cooperating 86% of contactees are twice as likely to be Republicans and independents as they are to be Democrats.

This imputes a HUGE skew into all poll results, a skew that is rarely acknowledged.

    Who are the 91%???

    Are you one of them?

Did you miss a call from a pollster because you were at work?

Did you refuse to answer a question from a pollster, once contacted?

If so, why did you refuse?

We have the stats. Now let’s flesh them out with some anecdotes.

Here’s a summary of some of the anecdotes and reasons for non-response from the comments section below; the number preceding each line is the number of commenters who cited that rationale:

11 – I have caller ID and never answer any call from any number that is either unknown or blocked.

9 – I do not respond because I suspect that callers identifying themselves as “pollsters” are more likely telemarketers, fraudsters or deceptive political operatives engaged in “push-polling.”

8 – I do not cooperate because I consider the polling industry an arm of the biased media, trying to influence the electorate.

6 – I refuse to divulge any personal opinions or data to an anonymous stranger, who could be ill-intentioned for all I know.

5 – I do answer, but I often lie and give false answers, just to screw with them.

5 – “Why should I waste my time talking to these people who will skew the results anyway?”

4 – I only answer calls from people I already know; if I accidentally answer a robo-call or a call from a stranger, I just hang up.

3 – I do not respond because of potential privacy violation, that pollsters can correlate my answers with my identity; “I fear that they will use my political beliefs against my family.”

    3 – I’m among the 38% “unreachable” because I do not have a landline.

3 – I would answer calls from any pollster which I recognize from caller ID as being unbiased, but otherwise I don’t.

3 – It’s just a waste of time; I have better things to do with my life.

2 – I suspect that if I answer once, my number will be added to lists of positive respondents, precipitating more calls.

1 – After I burst out laughing when questioned if I supported Obama, the pollster hung up on me.

    1 – I hang up if I “don’t like the questions.”

1 – I’d only cooperate with pollsters if they compensated me for helping them.

1 – I don’t answer because I think that polls are a corrupting influence on public policy, that political decisions are based on poll results, not on what is actually best for the country.

1 – I never used to answer pollsters, but recently I have started answering, to counter the inaccuracies in earlier polls.

4 – I refuse to cooperate with pollsters for all of the reasons above.

Maybe this explains why polls in 2010 and 2011 were all way off, no one is responding to the pollsters.

  60. Libya, Fast and Furious, and where else, the refrain is always the same:

They aren’t “liberal” in the classical sense that respects individual’s rights to express themselves. Of course the ACLU will have no issues with the NYC’s MTA ban on ads that offend only certain peoples, and by certain peoples, I mean muslims, i.e. the incident with the poster just last week.

  62. however I have no doubt the professor will still vote for OTurd, praise Barry’s middle east appeasement policy. No doubt about that.

    “The times they are a-changing.

Who would have thought that Hollywood environmentalists would find themselves aligned with Persian Gulf oil barons?

But the strange politics of energy have managed to bring the greens into line with the OPEC-member United Arab Emerites on the issue of fracking.

“Promised Land” is a new film starring and written by Matt Damon and John Krasinski, based on a story by San Francisco-based writer Dave Eggers. In the film, Damon and actress Frances McDormand play a team that shows in rural town hard hit by economic decline, offering to pay big money for drilling rights.

Krasinski plays a local activist who leads the town into rebellion against the drillers, arguing that their plans would damage the local environment. To anyone who is familiar with the debates about fracking in, say, upstate New York this will be a familiar story.

The more interesting twist here isn’t in the move—it’s in the movie’s creation. The film was produced “in association with” Image Media Abu Dhabi, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media, as first reported by the Heritage Foundation. Abu Dhabi Media—which has never had a role in a major American film before—is wholly owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates, a small but extremely wealthy federation of absolute monarchies along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf.

  67. and I can count 3 small businesses I know of personally that will be selling off their business, its no longer worth it.

and since OTurd thinks they didn’t build it anyways, good luck Barry and US administration in growing the American economy.

“ACLU Report: Obama administration expands domestic spying”

“Under the Obama administration, there has been a 60 percent increase in warrantless electronic surveillance by the Department of Justice, according to a report Thursday by the American Civil Liberties Union. According to the report, the DoJ monitored 37,616 phones in 2011 alone.

“The report shows a dramatic increase in the use of these surveillance tools… [m]ore people were subjected to pen register and trap and trace surveillance in the past two years than in the entire previous decade,” the ACLU explains, making reference to two tactics used by the Department of Justice (DoJ) to monitor and track phone calls, email messages, and social networking website use.”
“It is worth noting at the outset that the ACLU report only takes into account surveillance figures obtained from the Justice Department. Given the absence of figures from the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Secret Service, and state and local police forces, the ACLU states that “the reports likely reveal only a small portion of the use of this surveillance power.”
The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals explained that its role in the process is “ministerial in nature” in a 1995 ruling. The historic requirement of “probable cause” is no longer required for the government to tap into the phones or personal emails of a US citizen.
“The New York Times reported that the administration made 1.3 million requests for subscriber information from cell phone companies in 2011 alone.

The administration has constantly sought to block all legal challenges to domestic surveillance programs by means of the authoritarian “state secrets” doctrine and references to the president’s so-called “Commander in Chief” wartime powers. Earlier this year, a federal judge threw out a case that challenged domestic spying on the grounds that “any practice, no matter how abusive, may be immunized from legal challenge by being labeled as ‘counterterrorism’ and ‘state secrets’.”

The Obots then say that you have to vote for Obama because a Republican can’t be trusted
with Obama’s expanded police state powers and summary execution by Executive Order.

  76. PPP warns Ohio not in the bag for the POS. Interesting dince PPP is one of the most left leaning organizations.

“It’s a mistake to think based on recent polling in Ohio that the race there is over. Obama is not popular in the state.” One cohort where Obama is in deep trouble is, once again, undecided voters. Here’s Team Romney citing PPP statistics:

Undecided voters overwhelmingly disapprove of Obama. Among those still undecided on the election, just 13% approve and 65% disapprove of Obama. Mitt Romney has a huge pool of undecided voters to talk to in October who have already concluded that Obama has done a poor job in office.

With nearly five weeks until election day, it appears as though Mitt Romney trails slightly — both nationally and in swing states. (Two recent Virginia polls have shown the presidential race in a virtual tie, further refuting WaPo’s contention that Obama is running away in contested states). The GOP ticket has four debates to help shift the dynamics and close the deal with a group of undecided voters who hold extraordinarily negative views of Obama’s job performance. Romney’s ground game metrics are much stronger than McCain’s were four years ago, which is also significant because much more so than the wave elections of 2008 and 2010, this is going to be a turnout election. If the Obama campaign and their allies can discourage Republican leaners and convince a large slice of the embittered undecideds not to show up, they’ll win.

  77. This is what we have to fight against folks….

  82. Aahhhhh, amazing…..

New CNN poll has O+3 at 50/47. It appears their sample is 37D/29R/34I. Yes, +8D and O is up 3. Romney up 8 with Indys and better with base.

  83. My best advice to Romney. Show a little righteous indignation about what Obama and his commie friends are doing to this nation. Stop this we have different visions crap, and give us the truth with the bark off. That will get you far further in this challenge than all the damning with faint praise, and unrequited respect we have seen from your camp up til now. When an unreasonable man takes a tough line, no one is impressed. When a sober, serious one does that it connote gravitas, conviction, and courage as opposed to an over abundance of caution. Civility is lost on these barbarians Mitt. Especially when they have moved past the gate, and now occupy the palace.

  84. Honestly, is Neil cavuto that dumb? he cites some dem poll completely skewed to dems, where it shows Col West down by 9 points.

FOX is turning to chit. No other way to put it. Some good segments, the rest are going along with the dem talking points.

  85. Lol, the swing state polling consists of 161 people in those 8 states, really, what a load of polling crap. they are calling the battleground states based on 161 people.

Out of 929 registered voters in the new poll, 161 live in one of these eight states, with a margin of sampling error of eight points. The likely voter sample in these states is about nine points, making the 11-point gap an apparent edge. That margin is significant at the 80 percent confidence level, not a standard, conservative 95 percent threshold, which we take as added evidence of the state-of-play in state polling, and the crucial link between those and the national numbers (49 percent for Obama, 47 percent for Romney). No such dissection of a national poll — no matter how many interviews — could be anything more than that. They are simply not designed that way.

No wonder Obama has an apparent 11 point lead in battleground state, freaking hilarious.

But many a truth is said in jest. Lest we forget, he is the one who wants to try al Qaeda in civil court, afford them all the protections of the Constitution, turn them loose where possible, and blame America first. The people who pray for the destruction of this country could have no better ally than the snake for Chicago, who hates us damned near as much as they do.

Lol, the swing state polling consists of 161 people in those 8 states, really, what a load of polling crap. they are calling the battleground states based on 161 people.

What’s the next new low in bad polling??

Peuters/Zogmussen/ABCNBC: “We sampled 200 college kids outside a Dave Matthews concert in Florida who voted for Obama in 2008, and at this point 65% said they’d vote for Obama again, only 23% expressed support for Romney. Five percent were not aware this is an election year, thinking it was only “fake news” by Jon Stewart for yuks. And 3% asked the pollster where they could “score some weed”.

The next logical step in their descent into mind boggling corruption, would be to select 50% democrats, 25% who claim to be republicans but are in fact Obama supporters, and 25% who simply hate Romney. That should be their voire dire strategy to give them the result they want which just happens to coincide with their economic interests and piggish practices that undermine democracy, as Pat Caddell accurately reports.

  90. Jon Stewart? Is he funny? Only in the comparative sense, and even then it depends on whom you compare him to. Towit: compared to Letterman? He is the dullest dumbest son of a bitch on the block, who survives only on canned laughter and insomnia of his audience. Yes. Funny compared to Biden? Not even close. Biden is Doctor Strangelove on laughing gas.

  91. And 3% asked the pollster where they could “score some weed”.
They were asking the right people. Pollsters push statistical hallucination, so why not chemically induced hallucination too? It is perfectly consistent with their business model, especially if their names are Silver (NYT), Holland Keating (CNN) and their ilk.

But then I saw the morning sky

And it’s the undecideds and independents who will decide this.

However, I do expect Obama’s ACORN (whatever pseudonym they go by now, I dunno, UNICORN) to be active in recruiting “voters” from graveyards. “Hey, just ‘cuz they’re dead doesn’t mean they still don’t ‘reside’ in our fair state”.

I think Gallup and Rasmussen are very credible. It would make me feel better if Romney was ahead in one of those 2.

Wasn’t it Gallup who within the past month was found “revising” their number after getting a stern phone call from the Whore (White) House? I think Rasmussen still has credibility.

The oversampling of Dems across the specturm of pollsters appears to be a blatant attempt to “create a narrative”, that “Obama is pulling away”. What bullshit.

State mouthpieces of a little tin horn dictator.

  94. The Obama Administration holds a Veterans Administration suaree in Orlando with a Patton Parody for only $6 million cost to taxpayers? The IG claims the decision making process was dysfunctional. That is par for the course when it comes to Obama. But if we could whistle up Ed McMahon he or his ghost would surely ask Obama how dysfuctional was it? And when Obama did his typical off tele uh hum hu uh huah bullshit, Ed would fill the embarrassing gap with a question too logical for big media to ever ask: More dysfunctional than your foreign policy? And, the obligatory did any soldiers or Ambassadors die as a result of this suaree while big media was busy ignoring the truth and crucifying Romney?

Friday’s employment report is expected to show unemployment rising to 8.2%

Which would be like 15% or higher if you factor in “those who are no longer counted as unemployed”, because they gave up looking for work, or because their unemployment benefits ran out.

“I still have no job, but amazingly, I am no longer considered ‘unemployed’; I feel much better now. Thank you Pres. Obama, and the funny number crunching faceless bureaucrats!!!”.

I so agree, but never stated as well. You are the wordsmith!

That’s it? The likely voter screen subtracted a point from Romney? Correction: It added a single point to Romney. Math. How does that work?

  102. Omg!

Gregory REEKS of bias. He allows Warren to ramble on and on and on about Brown’s faults but aggressively interrupts every time Brown makes a statement.

    What a POS.

  103. what a liberal hack David Gregory is. Jerk, completely in the tank for Warren. Will he ask Warren about her non-license? of course not! Now if it was Brown who did this, hell yes, little gregory would bring it up.

I hope Brown brings this up. This is beyond disgusting, every single MSM is in the tank for the lefties, they’re supposed to go after whoever is in power, but oh no, only one side gets called out, the other side, they can do whatever wrong, no big deal!

  104. Barack Obama: World’s worst poker player?
    Jerry Shenk

During the summer, 2011, standoff between the president and Congress over the budget ceiling, Barack Obama committed a novice poker player’s error: he telegraphed that he was bluffing by warning House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.): “Don’t call my bluff.”

Obama’s gaffe was a clear sign that he was, indeed, bluffing.

Yesterday, Hugh Hewitt published an article in which he detailed a list of poker “tells” in the president’s rhetoric. According to Hewitt, the tells “betray an increasing distance between his reply and the truth.”

When Obama is off the teleprompter, “That is when these ‘tells’ surface, giving all veteran Obama observers the verbal heads-up that the president has entered the land of thinly disguised fantasy or obvious dissembling.”

Hewitt cites as tells “ahs” and “uhmms,” filibustering, “feigned outrage that anyone would interrupt or question him,” nonresponsive self-pity, and straw men.

    Enjoy it all.

Reading Hewitt’s article will prepare viewers for Wednesday’s presidential debate and provide an entertaining, more sober alternative to the BS Bingo played by many Obama watchers.

    Barack Obama Bull Shit Bingo

  105. D@mn it! WIll the repubs NEVER f**king learn? Look what the MR campaign agreed to in the debates.

“A few months ago, just after Romney secured the Republican nomination, his campaign adviser Ben Ginsberg began quietly negotiating with his Obama campaign counterpart Bob Bauer, the president’s longtime lawyer.

They settled on a set of rules that seemed to benefit the incumbent: An opening question-and-answer session with former PBS anchor Jim Lehrer, followed by a loose back-and-forth exchange. That would appear to give Obama more opportunity to answer at length than the town hall format of the second debate with Romney, scheduled at Long Island’s Hofstra University.”

  106. oh boy. Things must be really bad for them in the Oturd camp for them to bring out these stories/ads in October. And dear lady, no one is cutting local services, if they are cut, target your local govt, they pay for those services, its not at a federal level. Seriously, this is the nonsensical ads they are putting out this early!?!?

  107. ok, yea, I used to work as a clean up service person — not sanitation — very early in my working days, never once did I see people come out and give the people who pick up the trash Gatorade or give them a handshake as this person seems to imply. Of course no one is besmirching them, of course they do an important service, so I guess the implication is if someone is rich like Romney, they hate garbage collection workers?? I’m so tired of this class warfare. So sick and tired of it, what is surprising is that these ads are coming out so early, normally they wait later in October to push these class-warfare ads.

  108. Gregory epitomizes the problem with Washington–you have politicians, staffers, k-street lobbyists, think tankers, businesses who partner with goverment, big media whores, and together they form a Gordian Knot around the neck of this nation. Worse, they are all related to eachother by blood, marriage, or common interests in the deal. And the deal they strike always comes at the expense of the American People.
Since June 2000, Gregory has been married to former federal prosecutor and former Fannie Mae executive vice president, general counsel and corporate Secretary Beth Wilkinson.[1] They met while Gregory was covering the Oklahoma City bombing as a reporter and Wilkinson was serving as prosecutor on the case.[21] The couple has a son and twins — one daughter and one son.

Two incomes which depend entirely on the perpetuation of big government. And that, apart from political philosophy, explains why they are in the tank for Obama, and would be in the tank for a yellow dog if he was the leader of the party. Don’t be surprised. That may be his successor.

One look at Gregory and it become obvious that he is the lost link in the evolution of the species. If he were a style of painting then he would be late modern Neandretahal decadent. The head shape gives him away. The bullshit he peddles confirms it.

Can you imagine what the children of that disgusting union must look like? If Obamacare, like the Nazis, calls for eubonics, perhaps we should send all four of them in for examination by an Obamadoctor with an appopriate waiver.

Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway endorsed Mitt Romney ahead of Wednesday’s presidential debate in Colorado.

“Governor Romney is a proven leader with the experience and background to turn around our struggling economy,” Elway said in a statement. “In these tough economic times, we need a president who understands how to get America working again – by standing on the side of taxpayers and small-business owners who do the real job creating. I am endorsing Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan for President and Vice President because I know having the courage to make decisions and tackle challenges is what leads to results and real change. America needs a comeback team – Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are that team.”

“Leaders come in many forms, and John Elway has always exemplified leadership, first as a quarterback for the Super Bowl champion Broncos, and now as an executive vice president for the team,” Romney said in a statement. “He’s had to overcome challenges during his career, and he knows what it takes to turn things around when things get tough. I’m proud to have him on my team as we campaign to lead the comeback this nation desperately needs.”

Elway, the longtime quarterback of the Denver Broncos, is executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos. Elway was intrumental in letting quarterback Tim Tebow go in the last off-season and signing Peyton Manning

Indeed, the smartest man ever to set foot in the White House, and smarter than all other presidents combined, according to Presidential Historian Michael Bechloss. 114. Survey: Doctors choose Romney over Obama

A new survey shows Mitt Romney with a commanding lead over President Barack Obama among doctors, with Obamacare helping to sway their votes.

If the election were held today, 55 percent of physicians reported they would vote for Romney while just 36 percent support Obama, according to a survey released by Jackson & Coker, a division of Jackson Healthcare, the third largest health care staffing company in the United States

Fifteen percent of respondents said they were switching their vote from Obama in 2008 to Romney in 2012. The top reasons cited for this change was the Affordable Care Act and the failure to address tort reform.

Leadership style, failure to follow through on campaign promises, unemployment and the general state of the economy were also factors.

“Doctors are highly motivated this year to have their voice heard, particularly after passage of the Affordable Care Act,” said Sandy Garrett, president of Jackson & Coker. “No doubt, the health care law has stirred many passions in the medical community.”

Fifty-five percent of physicians said that they favored “repeal and replace” Obamacare, while 40 percent said “implement and improve”.

A Gallup poll from July found that 46 percent of Americans feel Obamacare is more harmful than helpful to the economy; 36 percent responded the opposite.

Obama has not emphasized his signature piece of legislation on the campaign trail.

Romney has said that he will work to repeal Obamacare on the first day of office.

“Physicians say they want a President who will address their concerns about their ability to practice medicine,” Garrett added.

The survey found that physicians that support Romney were more likely to own their own practice or “who had a stake in their own practice”. Obama supporting physicians were more likely to be women, or employed by hospitals or health systems.

  116. Has anyone here heard of Stilton Jarlsberg? Check out his blog: Hope n Change cartoons:

Someone at another forum I belong to posted a link to an Amazon listing of his new book, Obama Sutra – An Illustrated Guide To 57 States of Ecstasy. Sadly, it is such a liberal forum that they don’t seem to grasp that this is meant to satirize Obama’s policies. You would think the reference to 57 states would be a dead give away.

See further below for excerpts from the Amazon listing.

In any case, the blog cartoons are dead on hilarious, if somewhat crass. I’m going in reverse chronological order and I only got as far as September 24th’s entry when I came over here to post the link. That cartoon is comprised of 3 panels.

Panel One — Obama pontificates with his patented “let me be clear” pointy thumb gesture and states “I’m releasing 55 terror suspects to show the Muslim world there’s no hard feelings about attacking our embassies and killing our ambassador.”

Panel Two — A faceless question from the peanut gallery: “What do you call this policy initiative?”.

Panel Three — Obama replies: “Bleeding from behind”.

(Current) Obama Sutra – An Illustrated Guide To 57 States of Ecstasy, by Stilton Jarlsberg (Amazon)

Today, Vatsyayana’s work is being carried on by Barack Obama, who made history not for being the first Black President (an honor enjoyed by Bill Clinton), but for being the first President elected solely on the basis of sexual magnetism. Young, liberal, and open-minded voters didn’t need a wink or a nudge to understand the bedroom connotations of “Yes We Can” or that “Hope and Change” was a thinly veiled reference to changing sexual positions. And “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for” might as well have been an engraved invitation to an orgy.

    About the Author
STILTON JARLSBERG, MD is a widely respected political commentator, author, cartoonist, and part time sexologist. He is the author of the bestselling and ridiculously low-priced business parody “Who Cut The Cheese?,” as well as the darkly hilarious cartoon blog “Johnny Optimism” about a wheelchair-bound boy coping with life’s struggles and unending medical malpractice, and the wildly popular conservative political blog “Hope n’ Change Cartoons”. Following publication of “The Obama Sutra” he fully expects to be audited every year for the rest of his life.

  120. Rice has shown herself to be a party hack and liar. I am sure she rationalizes all this, by saying she took the hit for Obama. But she took an oath to the county, and if she violates that oath in order to protect Obama, then she cannot hold her office in good faith, any more than Holder can hold his office as Attorney General. Just another corrupt politician.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers, in an interview with Fox News, suggested the Obama administration politicized the intelligence in the immediate aftermath of the deadly consulate attack in Libya to fit a convenient story line, that it was spontaneous violence and not pre-meditated terrorism.

Rep. Rogers, R-Mich., specifically faulted the administration for suggesting the attack was an escalation of Muslim protests against an anti-Islam video produced in the U.S. and then doubling down on that theory.

“I argue the administration made some serious mistakes when they highlighted the video, escalated its credibility to the presidential level and then took it on TV in Pakistan with U.S. taxpayers dollars,” Rogers said, referring to an American government ad that aired in Pakistan condemning the video and the violence.

“I think those are all serious mistakes that we’re paying the price for,” Rogers told Fox News. He suggested the problem stemmed from the Obama administration seeing the intelligence as “what they wanted it to be — not what it was.”

U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans died in the attack, which authorities now suspect was carried out by extremists with ties to Al Qaeda.

Rogers and other Republican lawmakers have expressed specific criticism of U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice for her statements on several Sunday talk shows on Sept. 16, five days after the Libya attack, when she said portrayed the violence as a spontaneous demonstration that spun out of control.

For three weeks, the administration has gradually walked that position back, and officials now say what happened in Benghazi was a coordinated terrorist attack. On Friday, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued a rare statement explaining that administration officials were given the best assessment based on the available intelligence. Even so, at least one Republican lawmaker has called on Rice to resign.

Rogers, who told Fox News a day after the attack that evidence pointed to a pre-meditated act of terrorist, said the intelligence director’s statement appeared to be an effort to obscure the facts.

“Part of problem is this circling of the wagons,” Rogers said, calling it “concerning.”

“Again Americans need to understand the truth,” he said. “And the facts are what the facts are — and the intelligence is what the intelligence is — and we’ve got to avoid this notion of any political convenience, of any political interpretation, or we will make serious mistakes.”

Fox News asked the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to identify the exact date when the intelligence showed the strike was terrorism and not a protest spun out of control. Knowing that date could indicate whether Rice’s comments were in line with the intelligence community’s overall assessment of the attack or contradicting it. A spokesman would not comment on the record about that matter.

Fox News also asked an administration official why the administration chose Ambassador Rice to go before TV cameras to discuss the sensitive intelligence details, instead of officials like Counterterrorism Adviser John Brennan, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper or National Security Adviser Thomas Donilon.

“We lost an ambassador in the attacks,” the administration official told Fox News, asking to remain anonymous. “It made (sense) to put out a senior diplomat to speak to that tragedy.”

On Monday, the State Department defended Rice and rejected calls by House Homeland Security Chairman Peter King for her to resign.

Rogers said his worries go beyond the politics.

“It’s clear to me that (Obama administration officials) try to find the most convenient parts to what their narrative was, and that’s always a dangerous thing,” he said. Citing the aftermath of the 1979 hostage crisis in Iran, and the “lack of response” to the USS Cole attack in 2000, Rogers suggested that failing to respond honestly and forcefully in this attack will embolden America’s enemies.

“This was a successful attack (in) Al Qaeda’s view,” he said. “We need to treat it exactly the same, and we need to make sure that they don’t have the ability to do this again.”

Obama says all-day debate prep “is a drag”

LAS VEGAS Even at a resort hotel, President Obama says spending all day prepping for a debate “is a drag.”

“They’re making me do my homework,” he said in a phone call with a political volunteer during a visit to his campaign field office in Henderson, about a 30-minute drive from his debate camp at Lake Las Vegas.

He said the debate preparation was going great, but “basically they’re keeping me indoors all the time.”

But they did allow him to take a break and drop by his local campaign storefront. He walked in with six pizzas as a way of saying thanks to the 20 or so volunteers there.

“I know everybody has been working really hard,” he said, though he mistakenly said there were 34 days left to the campaign. His volunteers knew there were 36 days left.

“Whatever it is,” he said, “it’s really coming up quick.” He said the race in Nevada was going to be “be close all across the country.”

Can Romney redefine himself in this week’s debate? Obama holds slight lead ahead of debate Obama camp plays down debate expectations Let the debates begin He also sounded like he was worried about some kind of October surprise surfacing during this month.

“There are going to be a number of other things we can’t expect over the next couple of weeks,” he said. He didn’t elaborate, but he delivered a decidedly optimistic refrain.

He is a lazy shit, if you had this guy in your office, he would not last 5 minutes.
