The Post Steve Jobs Resignation Question: After All The Treachery, Boobery, Thuggery, And Corruption – Who Will Miss Barack Obama If He Quits?

Because of the recent flood surge of ‘Obama should quit’ and ‘Hillary should run in 2012’ articles we’re working on a series of articles on what can be done to make Hillary 2012 a reality.

We’re also working on a series of articles to discuss what a President Hillary Clinton would have done as compared with the mess President Boob Obama has committed.

While working on that series of articles we hit on an obvious question: Who would mourn if Obama quit?

Republicans will mourn a loss of the opportunity to beat Obama at the ballot box but they will also celebrate not having to run against an incumbent who will corruptly wield all the powers and financial advantages of the presidency. So count out Republicans from the “miss Obama” list.

The creeps, thugs, henchmen and operatives Obama has surrounded himself with will be unhappy to lose jobs and money from the Obama campaign but they will move on and certainly by now they can’t tolerate Obama either.

African-Americans? Will they mourn the loss of the golden calf? There might be some resentment against Obama opponents but not much else. There will be despondency that they were so wrong in voting overwhelmingly in the general election and many primaries for skin color not content of character. Surely they will lament that Obama was such a boob. But like Libyans, they will be glad to be rid of a creep that has decimated the black middle class and spawned unemployment among black youth and the entire black community. We doubt blacks will mourn the loss of Boob Obama.

Will Boob Obama be missed by young people? Not since such numbers began to be tracked, in 1948, has youth employment been so low. The young won’t miss the Boob.

Compare the thought of ‘Obama Quits’ with the reality of ‘Steve Jobs Quits’. Even those who cannot bear the near cult attitude of Apple consumers and resent the nauseating ‘Apple is so great’ chants understand that Steve Jobs deserves kudos and respect.

That Steve Jobs has quit his job and left a competent successor ameliorates the loss felt. But Steve Jobs will be missed and we all hope that he will continue to live and he will continue to work even if at diminished capacity due to health. “Live Long And Prosper cyber dude.”

Who will mourn if Boob Obama Quits? Not former Hopium guzzler and Hopium distribution franchise Mort Zuckerman. Zuckerman (Suckerman 2008!) writes in today’s Wall Street Journal:

“Obama and the ‘Competency Crisis’

Like many Americans who supported him, I long for a triple-A president to run a triple-A country.

The rising impatience with the leadership of President Obama was epitomized on Aug. 8 in the middle of one of the now-habitual Wall Street roller coasters. His speech on the economy was 53 minutes late. What showed on TV screens was an empty White House podium, an image suggestive of the absence of leadership. When the president did speak, the best he could come up with was “We’ve always been and always will be a triple-A country.” The market’s response was a Bronx cheer, a drop of another 300 points.

Mr. Obama seems unable to get a firm grip on the toughest issue facing his presidency and the country—the economy. He now asserts he is going to “pivot” to jobs. Now we pivot to jobs? When there are already 25 million Americans who are either unemployed or cannot find full-time work? Does this president not appreciate what is going on?

Fewer Americans are working full-time today than when Mr. Obama took office. We have lost over 900,000 full-time jobs in the last four months alone, and long-term unemployment is at a post-World War II high. The public’s faith in his ability to deal with the economy has plunged. As Doyle McManus of the L.A. Times put it, “Can this president persuade voters to let him keep his job when so many have lost theirs?” Even Jimmy Carter didn’t plumb the depths of national dissatisfaction revealed in the stunning Gallup poll taken Aug. 11-13. The president’s approval rating was only 39% with a mere 26% approving of his handling of the economy.

Meanwhile, everyone in the business world is pleading for some kind of adult supervision to build a national platform for sustained growth that includes a long-term fiscal plan that addresses our ballooning debt. They are desperate for strong leadership and feel that all we are getting out of Washington is a lot of noise as Democrats and Republicans blame one another.”

What happened to Suckerman? Why is Zuckerman now a racist? Mort Zuckerman is a racist because as we learned in 2007 and 2008 anyone who opposes the golden calf is a racist. So Mort Zuckerman is a racist.

Racist Mort Zuckerman continues:

“Since the president is the one who represents all of America and all Americans, the buck stops with him rather than with the Congress. It is the president’s job to offer a coherent program for the twin threats of a static economy and an unsustainable explosion of our debts and deficits. [snip]

It is no surprise that many have begun to doubt the president’s leadership qualities. J.P. Morgan calls it the “competency crisis.” The president is not seen fighting for his own concrete goals, nor finding the right allies, especially leaders of business big or small. Instead, his latent hostility to the business community has provoked a mutual response of disrespect. This is lamentable given the unique role that small business especially plays in creating jobs.”

That’s Mort Zuckerman’s polite way of saying what we have been saying: Obama is a boob. Zuckerman then borrows some of our articles from 2007 in which we noted that Obama goes into “blame the staff” or just plain “blame everyone else” mode when it is clear Barack Obama himself is the source and fountain of the corruptions, treacheries, and booberies we have witnessed for years. Here’s how Mort recycles with polite perfumes our own blunt charges:

“The president appears to consider himself immune from error and asserts the fault always lies elsewhere—be it in the opposition in Congress or the Japanese tsunami or in the failure of his audience to fully understand the wisdom and benefits of his proposals. But in politics, the failure of communication is invariably the fault of the communicator.

Many voters who supported him are no longer elated by the historic novelty of his candidacy and presidency. They hoped for a president who would be effective. Remember “Yes We Can”? Now many of his sharpest critics are his former supporters.”

Not while we’re around. Although we are sweet and demure we will continue to provide the sharpest critiques. But some of the boobs who supported the boob are indeed commencing to speak up about the boobery they witness:

“Witness Bill Broyles, a one-time admirer who recently wrote in Newsweek that “Americans aren’t inspired by well-meaning weakness.” The president who first inspired with great speeches on red and blue America now seems to lack the ability to communicate any sense of resolve for a program, or any realization of the urgency of what might befall us. The teleprompter he almost always uses symbolizes and compounds his emotional distance from his audience.

We lack a coherent and muscular economic strategy, as Mr. Obama and his staff seem almost completely focused on his re-election. He should be spending most of his time on the nitty-gritty of the job instead of on fund raisers, bus tours and visits to diners, which essentially are in service of his political interests. Increasingly his solutions seem to boil down to Vote for Me.”

You bought him, you own him Mort. You were a Sucker-man in 2008. It’s up to you to clean up the mess you made you racist you.

Zuckerman is a racist for daring to criticize Barack Obama. In many Obama Hopium dens Mort Zuckerman will also be denounced for being a plutocrat and therefore not worthy of attention. But maybe the Hopium dealers and consumers will be able to explain the strange case of soon to be racist Trumpka.

It seems Trumpka, the head of the AFL-CIO, is taking some of our advice. In our first article (and subsequent ones) regarding the collective bargaining law in Wisconsin we exhorted Big Labor to extract itself from the clutches of Obama’s Dimocratic Party. Now Big Labor might be doing just that:

“The media likes to push the notion that the Republican Party will split in two because of the Tea Party, but they may have missed a real split on the other side of the aisle.  AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka announced the creation of a union super-PAC that will “build our own structure” rather than “build structures for others.”  And by “others,” Trumka means the Democratic Party:

The growing rift between labor and their Democratic allies was on full display Thursday, as AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka told reporters that labor groups are planning to scale back their involvement with the Democratic Party in advance of the 2012 elections.

Going forward, Trumka said, the labor movement will build up its own political structures and organizations rather than contribute to and depend on the Democratic Party’s political operation. …

Labor has traditionally been a major contributor to Democratic candidates and causes around the country. Trumka said that their outside effort will help keep union-backed candidates more accountable for promises made on the campaign trail.

“Let’s assume we spent $100 in the last election,” he said, explaining the union’s position.

“The day after Election Day, we were no stronger than we were the day before,” said Trumka. “If we had spent that [$100] on creating a structure for working people that would be there year round, then we are stronger.”

That’s not just an expression of disapproval with the Democratic Party.  It’s a public vote of no confidence.  Unions spent heavily in the 2010 midterm elections; they accounted for three of the top five high-spending outside groups in that cycle.  They also spent tens of millions of dollars in Wisconsin this year in an attempt to wrest control of the state Senate away from Republicans, and failed to achieve their objective.  Trumka’s comments make it clear that he doesn’t see a great prospect of electoral success in 2012, either.”

The author of the recent “What If Obama Quits” article discusses the potential meaning of racist Trumpka’s threats:

“This puts the AFL-CIO into a position where the creation of a third party is not just a theoretical possibility, but perhaps a likely outcome.  The Tea Party doesn’t have deep pockets for organization, but the unions have a mostly-mandated grip on the pockets of their members, thanks to closed-shop rules in many areas of the country.  They can generate hundreds of millions of dollars for elections and candidate recruitment, especially in areas of high union concentration.  Unions might not be strong enough to run their own presidential candidate, but they could win House seats and perhaps a few Senate seats as well, or more likely just provide a competitive third choice for voters.  In fact, there’s really no other way to read Trumka’s statement but as a threat to compete with the Democratic Party on their own terms.

And that’s where the Democratic Party will suffer most.  If unions start running well-funded alternative candidates, the vote will split and allow Republicans to make gains in Congress and in state legislatures.  Either Democrats will have to start endorsing union candidates or start falling hopelessly behind the GOP in power and influence.

Even if this turns into just a one-cycle phenomenon, it couldn’t come at a worse time for Obama.  In order to win a general election, Obama needs to run to his right — and in order to keep the union funding he desperately needs, he will have to move to his left.  Either way, Obama loses, as does his party.”

What was Obama doing during the Suckerman blast and the Trumpka threats? Well, what do you think? What do you think Obama is doing? Barack Obama has hit the golf trifecta and the boobery superfecta. The man is a total boob:

“It took President Obama nearly a week, but he’s played the trifecta: golf courses in the three main Martha’s Vineyard hubs of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven.

With an earthquake down, a hurricane to come and a revolution in full revolt across the Atlantic, Obama nevertheless did what he likes to do best Wednesday. He golfed.

This time it was at the nine-hole Mink Meadows Golf Club, a day after he played the 18-hole Farm Neck Golf Club. On his first and third days of vacation, he favored the Vineyard Golf Club.

There’s been no word on how the president is playing amid natural disasters and international crises. He was viewed two-putting — or was it three-putting? — on the first green Tuesday, then the curtains closed on media coverage.”

With all the golfing he spends hours and hours and days on one would expect a certain level of proficiency at this point. After years in the White House Obama does not have a level of proficiency in anything but his already strong skills of treachery and boobery.

A former PGA golf champion, Paul Azinger, mocks the boob in chief today by stating that Obama “played more golf this month than I have. I have created more jobs this month than he has.”

Barack Obama must be forced into permanent golfing. Will anyone of consequence miss the Boob when he finally is forced out? No. No. No.

I am afraid they will blame the “White Man”, especially the Tea Party

  2. I will miss Steve Jobs, he gave my son his first “real” job, which he loves and excels at. Steve Jobs left a company that has more net worth than the American Government… and that my friends says a lot about the man, and about the state of this great Union!

  3. That is an interesting development with the Unions. That is not only money, that is manpower, and I don’t know how he can get them to the polls without manpower.

  4. Fun and informative read as usual. I read Zuckerman’s article today and still can’t believe a man of his brilliance did not see BO was not qualified for POTUS. (Thanks for the music as well:)

  5. Arctic sea routes open as ice melts — “Two major Arctic shipping routes have opened as summer sea ice melts, European satellites have found. Data recorded by the European Space Agency’s (Esa) Envisat shows both Canada’s Northwest Passage and Russia’s Northern Sea Route open simultaneously. This summer’s melt could break the 2007 record for the smallest area of sea ice since the satellite era began in 1979.”

As a Jewish cowboy (or “Juusshh,” as we say in Texas), I know Rick Perry to be a true friend of Israel, like Bill Clinton and George W. before him. There exists a visceral John Wayne kinship between Israelis and Texans, and Rick Perry gets it. That’s why he’s visited Israel on many more occasions than Obama, who’s been there exactly zero times as president. If I were Obama I wouldn’t go either. His favorability rating in Israel once clocked in at 4 percent. Say what you will about the Israelis, but they are not slow out of the chute. They know who their friends are.

  7. TurnDownObama, this was just released:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/08/25/cern_cloud_cosmic_ray_first_results/

CERN’s 8,000 scientists may not be able to find the hypothetical Higgs boson, but they have made an important contribution to climate physics, prompting climate models to be revised.

The first results from the lab’s CLOUD (“Cosmics Leaving OUtdoor Droplets”) experiment published in Nature today confirm that cosmic rays spur the formation of clouds through ion-induced nucleation. Current thinking posits that half of the Earth’s clouds are formed through nucleation. The paper is entitled Role of sulphuric acid, ammonia and galactic cosmic rays in atmospheric aerosol nucleation.

This has significant implications for climate science because water vapour and clouds play a large role in determining global temperatures. Tiny changes in overall cloud cover can result in relatively large temperature changes.

Unsurprisingly, it’s a politically sensitive topic, as it provides support for a “heliocentric” rather than “anthropogenic” approach to climate change: the sun plays a large role in modulating the quantity of cosmic rays reaching the upper atmosphere of the Earth.

CERN’s director-general Rolf-Dieter Heuer warned his scientists “to present the results clearly but not interpret them”. Readers can judge whether CLOUD’s lead physicist Jasper Kirkby has followed his boss’s warning.

“Ion-induced nucleation will manifest itself as a steady production of new particles that is difficult to isolate in atmospheric observations because of other sources of variability but is nevertheless taking place and could be quite large when averaged globally over the troposphere.”

Kirkby is quoted in the accompanying CERN press release:

“We’ve found that cosmic rays significantly enhance the formation of aerosol particles in the mid troposphere and above. These aerosols can eventually grow into the seeds for clouds. However, we’ve found that the vapours previously thought to account for all aerosol formation in the lower atmosphere can only account for a small fraction of the observations – even with the enhancement of cosmic rays.”

The team used the Proton Synchotron accelerator (pictured here with Kirkby) to examine the nucleation using combinations of trace gasses at various temperatures, with precision. These first results confirm that cosmic rays increase the formation of cloud-nuclei by a factor of 10 in the troposphere, but additional trace gasses are needed nearer the surface.

Climate models will have to be revised, confirms CERN in supporting literature (pdf):

“[I]t is clear that the treatment of aerosol formation in climate models will need to be substantially revised, since all models assume that nucleation is caused by these vapours [sulphuric acid and ammonia] and water alone.

The work involves over 60 scientists in 17 countries.

Veteran science editor Nigel Calder, who brought the theory to wide public attention with the book The Chilling Stars, co-authored with the father of the theory Henrik Svensmark, has an explanation and background on his blog, here, and offers possible reasons on why the research, mooted in the late 1990s, has taken so long.

Svensmark, who is no longer involved with the CERN experiment, says he believes the solar-cosmic ray factor is just one of four factors in climate. The other three are: volcanoes, a “regime shift” that took place in 1977, and residual anthropogenic components.

When Dr Kirkby first described the theory in 1998, he suggested cosmic rays “will probably be able to account for somewhere between a half and the whole of the increase in the Earth’s temperature that we have seen in the last century.”

    http://www.rt.com/usa/news/fracking-earthquake-virginia-dc-817-061/

Fracking could have caused East Coast earthquake

Experts are looking for a reason behind Tuesday afternoon’s unlikely 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shook people up and down the East Coast, and some are saying that a recent rise in fracking could be the culprit.
Hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” is the man-made splintering of underground rocks to expedite the exploiting of natural resources. It’s become a widespread phenomenon since its introduction in 2004, and though the practice can help increase supplies of oil and gas without reaching out internationally for imports, the result it can have on the geological make-up of the Earth can be ravaging. Now some experts say the rise in fracking could be to blame for yesterday’s quake.
The odds of a quake exceeding a magnitude of 5.5 occurring in central Virginia are so slim that Dominion Power determined only around six quakes of that size would occur in the area over the next 10,000 years. Dominion was looking at building a third nuclear reactor at their power plant in North Anna, VA, where facilities had to be taken offline yesterday as a result of the quake. Despite predicting that the site would be scarcely affected ever by a tremor, the quake’s epicenter was only mere miles from the nuclear facility.
Dominion, which confirmed in February that it will be building a third reactor for the plant, was rated by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission as the seventh most-likely site to receive damage from a quake, taking into consideration the 100-plus plants from coast-to-coast. Even still, the plant had its earthquake-sensing seismographs removed in the 1990s in order to save money.

When sites are subjected to fracking, waste salt water is injected back into the earth once fractures are created; in some cases, as many as 3 million gallons of the waste can be put into the earth in each well. Though earthquakes out east are unlikely, Braxton County West Virginia, only 160 miles from the epicenter of Tuesday’s tremor, has seen eight minor movements in 2010 alone. That site has also seen a slew of fracking operations in the several years before it.
Explicitly, the United States Geological Survey has published a finding confirming that processes like fracking can be to blame for “natural” disasters. “Earthquakes induced by human activity have been documented in a few locations in the United States, Japan and Canada,” writes the USGS. “The cause was injection of fluids into deep wells for waste disposal and secondary recovery of oil and the use of reservoirs for water supplies.”
Out West, geologists have blamed fracking on earthquakes that unexpectedly shook up the state of Arkansas, which recently saw over 20 small tremors in a single day. Freak earthquakes have also occurred in regions of Texas, New York and Oklahoma that should not be likely sites of epicenters, though those locales have all seen a rise in fracking in recent years.
Multi-stage fracking, which can drill several miles deep in the Earth, has only become prevalent in recent years. Once introduced, however, Arkansas, West Virginia and Texas all saw an unexpected increase in quakes across the region. The correlation has caused concern in other parts of the country, including West Virginia, where residents are asking lawmakers to reconsider the legality of fracking, which can not only cause earthquakes but is overall detrimental to the local ecosystem. One incident in central Virginia occurred in 2008 when fracking caused an explosion of a natural gas pipeline that created a fireball that stretched up to half a mile long and tall and injured five people.
Mineral, VA, the site of Tuesday’s quake’s epicenter, is only 90 miles from the West Virginia border, where activists are rallying to change the lax state legislation which has caused companies to conduct fracking operations more and more and recent years.

this reminds me of the “experts” in Los Angeles that think it makes sense to set off explosives under the ground in earthquake prone LA…

…guess they never learned you shouldn’t mess with Mother Nature…

  10. Sounds like things are unwinding for the UberBoob just the way you predict Admin. Great, great post.

The only thing Barry enjoys is slamming balls around, but he never gets better at anything.

What a poser, and to think he could actually sit down and write a book that his lovers think is so damn intellectual, it puts James Joyce to shame…

    really, not a chance.

I can’t wait to hear your posts on Hillary for 2012.

  11. First, this is a great “ouch” presentation about the bØØb. BUT, for me, the best part of what I read here on this article was actually the comment that the admin posted concerning global warming. Again, Al Gore is a hoaxster. He grabbed on to something that sounded oh-so-good, but being the non-scientist that he is, why does it not surprise me that he is wrong? Yes, there are many in the scientific community who support the global warming nonsense that Al Gore supports, but I suspect that many of them do so under a sort of peer pressure, and going with the flow. Yet, there are also many within the scientific community that are against Al Gore’s message, yet they rarely get any headlines. The curtain is being lifted, and Al Gore will go down in flames. I hope that doesn’t cause a large increase in greenhouse gases as his fat ass burns.

  12. Re theregister.co.uk/2011/08/25/cern_cloud_cosmic_ray_first_results/ posted above.

Dunno how reliable the UK Register is. Maybe there will be comments from other sources tomorrow.

A linked article at the Register is clearly slanted, as shown by this excerpt:
    theregister.co.uk/2011/05/13/downing_cambridge_climate_conference/page3.html
The most passionate believers in the view that man is irreparably changing the climate are the people with the long lists of radical remedies already prepared; their politics needs the catastrophe, for nobody would entertain their politics for a moment – it wouldn’t be mainstream – if it didn’t come with a catastrophe attached. Take away the catastrophe, and their politics collapses like a house of cards. Politically we’re in a sort of limbo: a few countries have pledged themselves to the course of radically changing lifestyles and industrial policy – but the price of implementing them is political suicide. Things meander along without resolution.

As for the article at theregister.co.uk/2011/08/25/cern_cloud_cosmic_ray_first_results/ posted above, I’m not very impressed with the article’s summation being taken from a prediction made in 1998. If the experiment actually supported that prediction, they would be able to get a current quote saying so.

  13. Here’s CERN’s actual press release.

    press.web.cern.ch/press/PressReleases/Releases2011/PR15.11E.html

    and their further detail:
    press.web.cern.ch/press/PressReleases/Releases2011/downloads/CLOUD_SI_press-briefing_29JUL11.pdf

    Excerpt:
Increases in atmospheric aerosol particles cool the climate by reflecting more sunlight and by forming additional cloud drops, thereby making clouds brighter.
The increased amount of aerosol in the atmosphere caused by human activities is thought to have offset a large fraction of the warming caused by greenhouse gases.

  15. turndown – All this bears out what I’ve been saying over the last two years, which is that the jury is still out as to the reality and causes of global warming.

Instead of taking sides in what may be a pointless debate, it would be better to concentrate on the global warming solutions that are being proposed. These solutions are not only environment-friendly but are a business and therefore economic opportunity. With that line of argument, Hillary was able to convince the Chinese single-handed to veer toward Green solutions.

Problem is, the Chinese are now buying Green technology and products from the Europeans (in Euros) because Europeans have a decade lead on us since Kyoto. The Japanese have a lead too. Our green solutions sector is way behind and feeble. Any power company that wants to build a wind or solar farm will buy (at rising prices with devalued dollars) from the Eurojaps.

  16. jeswezy, I hate saying this, but you are wasting your breath err… typing skills. Reason does not work with the close minded td- She idolizes anything Al Gore is promoting, therefore unless Gore recants.. it is easier talking to a cinder-block that realizes it’s limitations in strength if it is not mortared to a host of cinder-blocks constructing an almost indestructible wall.

We’ve all tried in one way or another to break through, but it just won’t happen in this life time. Easier, for your own sanity and ours, to agree on the “contrarian” hypothesis. Whatever we know to be true, she will take an opposing view. The man who said, “Google is your friend” has discovered a lifelong patron of their site which provides alternate views on every topic. Thus, thousands of links are available as rebuttals to any reasonable dialog you may volunteer appealing to a person’s common sense. The one missing facet you will notice is a summary in her own words (demonstrating an understanding of your point and her counterpointed argument with final conclusions proving her point.)

New Low: 29% Give Obama Good or Excellent Marks on Economy

The economy remains the top issue on the minds of voters while perceptions of President Obama’s handling of the issue has fallen to a new low.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 29% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the president is doing a good or an excellent job on the economy. That’s down from 30% in each of the last two weeks, down from 36% three weeks ago and the lowest ratings on the economy yet recorded for this president. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Fifty-one percent (51%) give Obama poor marks on the economy. That’s up a point from a week ago and the most pessimistic assessment of his economic performance to date. Platinum Members receive weekly updates on this and other measures of the president’s performance.

On national security issues, 42% give the president good or excellent marks, while 34% rate his performance as poor. That’s similar to the ratings earned in April before Osama bin Laden was killed. Following that event, 53% gave the president positive marks in the national security area. That fell back to 46% a month ago.

Most Democrats (56%) still give the president good or excellent marks on the economy, while 79% of Republicans think he’s doing a poor job. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 21% offer good or excellent reviews, while 55% say poor.

A majority of voters over 40 say the president is doing a poor job on the economy. Younger voters are more forgiving. Those under 30 are almost evenly divided between positive and negative reviews. Among 30-somethings, 32% provide a positive assessment, and 46% say the opposite.

  18. Tide is certainly turning.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/right-turn/post/a-former-obama-donor/2011/03/29/gIQAyp4meJ_blog.html

    A former Obama donor

Over the past couple of months I’ve exchanged e-mails with a gentleman (let’s call him John) who was a bundler in 2008 for Barack Obama. He’s begged off this time around and is searching for a presidential candidate. He’s Jewish and says that over the years he has shifted back and forth between support for Republican and Democratic candidates. No longer.

Now, it’s not Israel that pushed him over the edge. He told me, “Although I felt Obama has grossly mishandled Israel (perhaps more in form than actual substance), I cannot honestly say that this was a major factor.”

What did it? Well, yesterday we exchanged e-mails again. I asked him whether he was still in the not-Obama camp. He replied: “Funny you should ask, as this question has popped up with increasing frequency among many of my more Democratic orientated friends. . . . in these discussions I keep hearing incredulous variations of ‘You can’t possibly vote’ for ______________ (fill in the blank). My response is, yes . . . actually I really could!!!” So why has he switched. This, he wrote, is what he tells his Democratic friends:

The breadth of government has reached a tipping point from Roosevelt’s efforts in the 30’s to ostensibly attempt to provide a safety net for the most neediest Americans to becoming an economically unsustainable entitlement bazaar that is eroding any remaining collective sense of traditional American self reliance and independence. I have flipped back and forth over the years between which party frightens me the most and clearly I now prefer the deficiencies of the Republicans to the deficiencies of the Democrats. I always fear the extremes of both parties but the Democrats have shifted so far left they they now seem intent on using Western Europe as their economic and social template, which is a disaster without possibility of a solution. Entitlements (and I mean more than just Social Security and Medicare), a corrosive, debilitating, nonsensical tax policy and government overreach are literally sucking the life force out of the underlying vitality and spirit that has made us both remarkable and exceptional in the course of world history and are the primary contributors of our current situation. While there is no certainty that Republicans will succeed in addressing these issues, there is certainty that Democrats will not.

He hasn’t found a candidate yet. But he and many like him, I suspect, are searching. When you hear the Republican candidates speak and debate and review their records, keep in mind that they probably will have every gettable GOP voter. It is “John” and others that they have to appeal to. I’ll try to check back periodically and see how he’s doing in his “not-Obama” search.

US President Barack Obama on Monday reached out to respected business figures Warren Buffett and Ford chief Alan Mulally as he frames a major new plan on jobs and the deficit.

Obama made the calls from his rented vacation farm house on the well-heeled resort island of Martha’s Vineyard off Massachusetts, deputy White House press secretary Josh Earnest said.

The president often cites billionaire Berkshire Hathaway chief Buffett as an example of the well-off category of American who would not mind paying higher taxes to benefit the rest of the country.

“The president and Mr Buffett discussed the overall outlook on the economy and the reaction to the headwinds we’ve experienced over the last couple of months,” Earnest said.

“They talked a little bit about some possible measures that would spur investment and increase economic growth. And they also talked about some measures that could address the long-term fiscal situation in this country.”

Obama and Mulally discussed the auto and manufacturing industries and expanding growth, stimulating exports and investment, Earnest said.

Also on Monday, Obama, who has been criticized by Republicans for taking a vacation while many Americans face severe economic struggles, was briefed on market and financial developments by Brian Deese, a top economic aide.

Obama has promised to unveil a new jobs and deficit plan after lawmakers return to work in early September, but Republicans have already signaled they are cool to many aspects of his plans.

The president is seeking to kick start the US recovery, which he says has been slowed by “headwinds” including the Arab Spring, Japan’s tsunami tragedy and the European debt crisis.

A recent Gallup poll found that public approval for his economic management had dipped to 26 percent, a worrying sign for the president, 15 months out from the next election.

I would hope Mulaly told him to get the federal govt out of the way of the economy to spur its growth…nothing is going to grow with Obamacare and the Bank Regulations hanging over their heads. Obama should be reading some Milton Freidman on this vacation to get a clue on how an economy should be de-regulated to spur growth. It is becoming clear that Buffet should stay in Omaha and keep his mouth shut…go back to writing one letter a year to your shareholders, Warren.

Obama and Buffett together again? When have they been apart? Maybe Obama was asking Buffett how he could enact another stimulus which would make Buffett a few billion quick dollars like the others did. You know, the bailout for Goldman Sachs led to Buffett buying a lot of the company and it really took off. With our money.

Everything Buffett wants and everything Obama does is for wall street and multinational corporations, nothing for main street and the american people.

How much longer must we suffer this fool? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know the solution. The answers to creating jobs is simple:

    1. cut the majority of useless regulations that hinder businesses.
    2. cut taxes on businesses and individuals
    3. lay out a long range plan so businesses know what to expect tax wise down the line so that they can begin to start hiring again.
    4. abolish Obamacare.
    5. lay out budget plan for paying off the huge debt.

I think we [the public] have finally reached the POINT OF NO RETURN believing anything Obama has to say. The “piling on” from former Obama defenders is also an undeniable indication of the hopelessness felt by a growing majority of Americans forming a ‘united states’ consensus of opinion, Obama has FAILED miserably in changing America into something acceptable to Americans..

With all of the elites, the Republicans and Soros’ money behind him.. the best he could do with unlimited resources and support is… GET ELECTED- and ONLY by addressing his audiences with LIE after LIE of the America he deliberately misrepresented directing his LIES to a mostly INVISIBLE Black CONSTITUENCY. Where as we know, the recorded videos of his 08’campaign ( depicted by a ‘subtle slight of hand’ ) always showing a ( handpicked probably paid ) mostly white audience giving the impression it is ‘WHITE GUILT’ supporting him as the next president. Concluding, it is the right thing to do to elect Obama.

Just a snippet to give a sense or freshen recollection…
blockquote cite=””> Part 2: Lead-up to the Coup
Recall that the motive of the movers and shakers behind candidate Obama, was to get his name on the general election ballot by making him the nominee of the Democratic Party as far as possible in advance of the 2008 DNC Services Corporation Presidential Nominating Convention. But notwithstanding the nefarious means they had employed throughout the primary and caucus contests, they had nonetheless failed to secure the nomination. No matter what they tried, they could not undermine Clinton into relinquishing her bid for the nomination. Why, even now that the primary season was over, the candidate only suspended but did not end her campaign. So, over the summer Obama’s minions, having failed to secure the nomination based on the number of delegates pledged to him, now set out to corral the hundreds of delegates pledged to her, determined to steal his nomination before the convention.

I only created the “jbjd” blog in late August, 2008, after the convention. So, in June, after Clinton suspended her bid for the nomination, I continued commenting on other people’s blogs. For the most part, my focus was fixed on ridding the blogosphere of its misconceptions about specific facts related to the Obama and Clinton narratives, and not on improving people’s understanding of the electoral process. Because back then, I was as ignorant as to the nuts and bolts of our Constitutional republic as the average citizen 2 (two) years later, remains. Especially with respect to the role played by our 2 (two) major political parties.

By the first week in August, any knowledge deficit I had suffered regarding the electoral process was rapidly melting away. (Although as you will see, looking back, some of my comments sound so naive.)

Responding to rumors she might not be formally entered into nomination, Clinton supporters began pushing to ensure her name would appear on the ballot at the convention. According to DNC rules – by August, I was studying those rules – this would require the signatures of at least 300 pledged delegates, as well as the candidate. Her pledged delegates from all over the country had been demanding the opportunity to ‘represent’ the candidate the voters elected them to vote for at the convention. And, like the rest of us who had watched that May 31 meeting of the RBC, they were still smarting from the treatment their candidate had received at the hands of other members of her party. As a result, gathering the 300 signatures would be easy. But here was another problem. The Chair could refuse to enter into nomination anyone who failed to demonstrate loyalty to the Democratic Party. In light of the meme from party officials that Obama’s nomination was already a fait accompli, putting her signature on such a petition could be construed as evidence she was being disloyal to the party, which perceived disloyalty could become a bar to her formal nomination.

Yet, if her name was not formally entered and accepted into nomination then, any votes cast for her from the floor call of the roll would only be recorded as “Present.”

(Please note, from here on in, I will no longer cite to any rules of the DNC. Because another epiphany that came to me in August was this: the DNC is a private club. Thus, it can make and break its own rules. And it set up volumes of rules and by-laws that govern operations, with auspicious sounding titles like “Charter,” “Constitution,” “Model Rules to Delegate Selection Process,” and “Call to the Convention.” But here’s the thing about all these club rules: they can be changed at any time. According to club rules. Plus, “discretion” is written into everything. In other words, even if officials of the party engage in conduct that looks like it violates the corporation charter, this might only result from the fact, one objects to the particular way this discretion was used.)

With strong grassroots efforts underway to secure her nomination, on August 10, AP’s Nedra Pickler offered up “Clinton to headline second night of convention,“ subsequently published by both MSNBC and RealClearPolitics, portraying the Clinton and Obama ‘camps’ were negotiating to determine whether her name would formally be entered into nomination.

Clinton told supporters she is seeking a way for her delegates to be heard at the convention and be united after the hard-fought nominating contest. [snip. Is this a flashback or what?]

from the comments at the “coup” site almost one year ago:

even with the role I inadvertently played in this drama, I am still amazed at what they were able to pull off. Wanna hear something that will make you crazy? The model delegate selection plan for 2012 still has no section for responsibilities for pledged delegates from vote binding states. Until the states get their A’sG to enforce the laws, nothing will change. I wish people began to realize, all politics is local. Get your friends to visit the capital with you; and bring the press.

  26. Thanks, ohanson.

you can also post a link at NQ from the very first post here at His44. There it reads like a novel giving a blow by blow description day by day of the perils of Hillary’s campaign to the perils of her supporters enduring the thuggery of Obama supporters and the Denver fiasco.

Many posters here were in Denver during the nomination process and have first hand reports of the degradation suffered at the hands of Obama thugs. You may also want to pass along the Pumapac.org’s link for a real time in detail description of the efforts put forth by Hillary’s supporters..getting her on the nomination ballot.

It’s nice to know people are starting to wake up. Sometimes things work out for the best… and I think that time has finally come.

    Long Live Hillary!

  27. How darn bad to things have to get with the brass Calf before the DAMN Judas delegates make public that they were promised 40 pieces of silver in Denver?

Step up and finally tell the truth Hillary Delegates that sold your souls to Obama!!

Shame on all of you, we have not forgotten your treachery and how is that funding for your reelection going for ya now?

May the assholes in the rules committee get swift payback for selling out their party and 18 million voters.

Payback is a BITCH and that time is heading towards all of you like Katrina. Run for the hills.

  28. The horrible thing is I think many Hillary people folded because they felt like they had to stay within the Dem party in order to keep their jobs or run for office.

However, Many of Hillary people who have run for office have been badly hurt, not by their support of Hillary, but by O’s performance. Our state lost the Gov seat to a Republican because the Hillary Lt Gov had to run agains O and Richardson. I don’t think they realized what was going to happen. They were counting on O somehow muttering through in this job, and they would just hide out in the background. However, what has happened is they are taking the brunt of peoples dis-satisfaction, and losing either their current jobs, or jobs they decided to run for.

I have to wonder, had they know what would happen whether maybe they would have challenged what happen in Denver like the life and death situation that it was.

  29. agreed, Shadowfax-

The one consolation we have in hindsight is had Hillary by some miracle won the nomination, she would have been hammered and victimizes unmercifully by the bellyaching Obama supporters and Obama himself holding court over Hillary blaming her for the tiniest things that had gone wrong in America. From the Banking crisis, to the economy and the job losses experienced to date by millions…to the pimple on Aunt Sadie’s derriere that just won’t go away…

So, this part of Hillary’s perils we can only speculate which all in all publicly deposing in disgrace Obama as the idiot in charge and bag man for the Republicans and the elites has somewhat justified the disappointment we suffered in 08′. At least that is the way I can reconcile the unnerving events of 08′ to carry on moving forward..and I do not pretend to speak for everyone…

We now can look over our shoulders with the wind at our backs spitting fire at anyone who dares challenging us for supporting Hillary as our replacement president to Right the damage done by their choice, Obama, the imposter in Chief.

  41. Another angle on the CLOUD experiment.

Organic vapours released by organisms such as trees, marine bacteria and livestock appear to play a far more important role in cloud formation than suspected.
“This was a big surprise,” says Jasper Kirkby at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland, whose team made the finding.
    [….]
Aerosol nucleation is known to require sulphuric acid, but Kirkby’s team found that it is not enough by itself at low altitudes – the presence of an additional organic trace vapour is needed (Nature, DOI: 10.1038/nature10343). “If there is too little of either component then nucleation will not occur at an appreciable rate in the low atmosphere,” says Kirkby. That means the organic component – and thus the role of living organisms – is more important than had been thought, although the full implications are not yet understood.
    [….]
Other evidence shows that even if cosmic rays do affect the climate, the effect must be small. Changes in the number of cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere due to changes in solar activity cannot explain global warming, as average cosmic ray intensities have been increasing since 1985 even as the world has warmed – the opposite of what should happen if cosmic rays produce climate-cooling clouds.

What she did say to them was that America was always a good investment (to get them to buy more US bonds, which they did) and then she convinced them of green market business/economic opportunities.

She later tried the same magic on the Indians but they were harder to convince. She has been making the same pitch, with WJC, in Africa and with great success in Latin America.

So there is a growing worldwide green market, but the US is not part of it either on the demand or supply side.

DOJ Keeping Islamic Bank Settlement Secret

    Aug 26, 2011

The Justice Department has agreed to end its investigation into an international financial network with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and a Saudi prince in a settlement in excess of $30 million, sources tell the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

But DOJ officials refuse to release a copy of the settlement or make any comment on it.

“Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide anything in connection with this matter,” DOJ spokesman Charles Miller wrote in response to a query Aug. 16. He did not contest the existence of the settlement with the Islamic Investment Company of the Gulf (IICG). Repeated attempts to obtain the settlement, or at least a clear explanation of why it cannot be released when most government settlements are a part of the public record, have been unsuccessful.

“We will have no further comment,” Miller said Wednesday.

Reports of a grand jury investigation into an IICG domestic affiliate called Overland Capital surfaced early in 2007. Though the grand jury was convened in Boston in September 2006, a terror-financing prosecutor from DOJ was leading the tax evasion probe into the bank, the Wall Street Journal reported. Overland Capital allegedly was controlled by the Dar al-Maal al-Islami Trust (DMI), an Islamic financial institution founded by Saudi Prince Mohamed al-Faisal and which had at least two influential Muslim Brotherhood figures on its board, the Journal reported.

Obama Cuts Short Martha’s Vineyard Vacation for Hurricane Irene

    August 26, 2011

ABC News ^ | Stephanie Smith

The president made the decision to cut short his family vacation on Martha’s Vineyard shortly after addressing the nation about the impending danger of Hurricane Irene, which he said has the potential to be “historic.” Obama is expected to arrive back at the White House on Friday evening. His family will remain on the Vineyard through Saturday morning.

Time for the White House to rein in Michelle Obama’s out-of-control spending

    Friday, August 26, 2011

    The Daily Telegraph (London) ^

With the United States facing a national debt of more than $14 trillion, the largest since World War Two, wouldn’t it make sense for the White House itself to start trimming its own spending?

A good place to begin cutting would be Michelle Obama’s rather generous vacation programme. Keith Coffler, who edits the influential White House Dossier, notes that Michelle Obama spent no less than 42 days on vacation over the past year – that’s one in every nine days.

Now why would they stay on a few more hours instead of all flying back together, it does not makes sense, there is something wrong here and i’ll be amazed if Michelle bothers with another 4 years of it.

That may be the way out, she may say no more.

  54. The recent CLOUD experiment was done in a sealed laboratory chamber, to find out what influences some of the particles that may ‘seed’ clouds. They were looking for influence from cosmic rays but also found influence from particles from plants and animals.

Another way to approach the question (more realistic imo), is to look at actual measurements of temperatures, cloud cover, and solar and cosmic ray activity over years, and see if there is a correlation. The site below shows results of the more realistic approach (through 2009).

Background from Kirkby at CERN, dated 2009. Lots of good charts.

  56. More perspective on the CLOUD experiment: cloud formation needing organic particles.

    http://www.rsc.org/chemistryworld/News/2011/August/24081102.asp
Scientists thought that [cosmic ray] factors alone could explain cloud formation, but CLOUD has proved other vapours must be involved.
Kirkby says the only other condensable atmospheric vapours are organic compounds. He cites oxidised terpenes or organic amines – which could act in a similar way to ammonia – as likely candidates.
Scientists have studied in detail how human activity influences global warming, but humanity also contributes to cooling effects, for example releasing light reflecting aerosols. Kirkby says that aerosols are the biggest gap in our understanding of humanity’s contribution to climate change.
    [….]
The CLOUD team will now try to identify which organic species are responsible for aerosol nucleation. Kirkby says they have already been conducting experiments which might answer this question and are analysing the data now.

Maybe the polluters will settle for telling us that humans have NO effect on global warming — except that we should use more aerosol cans. 😉

BREAKING: Obama Dirty Tricks Operative Buffy Wicks to Run Campaign Unit Named After ACORN’s Voter Fraud Factory

    http://biggovernment.com/mvadum/2011/08/26/breaking-obama-dirty-tricks-operative-buffy-wicks-to-run-campaign-unit-named-after-acorns-voter-fraud-factory/

One of the co-conspirators in a White House-approved plot to use federal resources to produce partisan propaganda to advance President Obama’s policy agenda has been chosen to lead an Obama 2012 get-out-the-vote (GOTV) effort.

The Obama operative chosen to head the GOTV effort, Buffy Wicks, was deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. In that capacity she participated in a now-infamous 2009 conference call in which Obama officials urged artists to create art that would help advance Obamacare and the rest of the president’s policy objectives.

Wicks will head a GOTV effort named after the branch of ACORN that employed Obama in 1992. Perhaps to honor Obama’s radical roots, the “campaign-within-a-campaign” will be named “Project Vote,” according to Politico’s Mike Allen.

  58. Someone is really worried that Hillary will run, so he goes on the attack!

    ———

Hillary Clinton Redux? (American Stinker Thinker)

As the USS Barack Obama is running into increasingly stiff headwinds, the star of Hillary Clinton is rising higher and higher over the liberal horizon. Buyer’s remorse over Obama’s presidency and the prospect of ignominious defeat at the polls, with the president probably dragging underwater a slew of Democratic legislators frantically trying but failing to detach themselves from his sticky coattails, make for a powerful potion of nostalgia for the former First Lady of the United States, once a prohibitive favorite to become the second president named Clinton. The highly favorable backdrop (today, anyone would look good compared to Obama) and Hillary’s sky-high approval ratings (over 60 percent, even up to 70 percent in some polls) make her the Democratic Party’s Great White Hope (metaphorically speaking, of course). [Racist!!!]

Sorry, Hillary aficionados — your hopes are an impossible dream. There is no way you can run your horse unless Obama withdraws from the race. There is good reason for that. By monopolizing the black vote, the Democratic Party has become so beholden to the African-American electorate that the tail is now wagging the dog, and no Democrat will dare run against the Hope and Change Prophet. Why risk alienating the most dependable bulwark of their party, or maybe even provoking inner city unrest? Still, hope springs eternal, and the “run, Hillary, run” thunder rolls ever more deafeningly in the liberal echo-chamber. So much so that even some in the conservative blogosphere tremble at the prospect of facing the Joan of Arc of the Democratic Party in 2012.

Suppose the Democratic grand poobahs muster enough courage to challenge Obama and run the former First Lady against him. Quite apart from the danger of offending the black electorate, the enormous difficulty of challenging a sitting president with his immense resources (ask the Kennedy clan about Uncle Ted’s attempt to unhorse the hapless Jimmy Carter), and the proven viciousness of the Obama operatives, here is the big question: what will she run on? Is she any different from Obama? Not much. [Are you freakin’ kidding me you halfwit….Hillary is not JUST LIKE OBAMA!]

[This A-hole is scared shitless that Hillary will run, so he continues the attack on her…]

Like the president, she is an acolyte of Saul Alinsky, that original community organizer (she even wrote her senior thesis at Wellesley College on the radical guru, disagreeing with him on tactics while warmly embracing his ideology). She fully shares Obama’s redistributionist views; her failed health care reform plan was a prototype of ObamaCare; throughout her lifetime, she has unswervingly hewed to the left-liberal line — just like Obama. In a word, she is Obama’s ideological Siamese twin.

She must present a plausible rationale for running against her boss. Would she try to sell herself as a patriot who has submerged her ego for the sake of the country to provide adult supervision in the romper room of infantile Marxists? Bob Gates could present himself in this light, but not Hillary, a faithful water-carrier who in every way has been playing a barely noticeable part in the administration. She is an outsider in a regime whose head honcho surrounds himself with praetorian Chicagoans and trusts nobody else. Hillary was allowed on board primarily to neuter her and for no other purpose — other than maybe taking the fall for the Boss if push comes to shove. She has to take orders from the people truly close to Obama, like Samantha Power, who famously called Hillary a “monster” during the last presidential campaign. How can she criticize the policies she has faithfully executed? If she disagreed with them, why didn’t she resign in protest? How can she attack Obama’s record without looking a hypocrite? Bob Gates fought a valiant if losing battle for the interests of the Pentagon and made no secret of his disagreements with the president. Does anyone remember a single instance of dissent on the part of Hillary? Neither can I.

And what are her accomplishments as secretary of state? The only memorable episode in the foreign policy drama starring Hillary Clinton was her ridiculous, badly botched attempt at statesmanship when she presented a giant red RESET button to the Russian foreign minister. Not only was it transcribed in Latin letters rather than Cyrillic as elementary courtesy would demand, but the Russian translation was wrong: “overcharge” instead of “reset.” Mr. Lavrov couldn’t resist the temptation to embarrass his American counterpart, gleefully pointing out the mistake. In that sorry episode Hillary played the part of that guy from the joke: “Hey, you were hit and did not react. — I didn’t react? Who do you think fell down?” Other than that she has left no mark, faithfully executing the orders coming down from the White House and looking like an undistinguished gofer. Is she a force in her own right, the master of her domain, a John Foster Dulles or a Henry Kissinger? Not hardly, as John Wayne would say.

And then there is the issue of character. During the eight years of Bill Clinton’s administration, Hillary’s public standing followed what seemed to be an iron law of nature: as soon as she faded into the background, her ratings went up; no sooner would she force her way to the front than her popularity would take a dive. Small wonder, for who could help shuddering involuntarily at the aura of cold fury emanating from her; watching those pallid eyes blazing with demonic hatred; hearing those blood-curdling screeches that substituting for oratorical flourishes or the inane cackling that passed off for laughter in embarrassing situations? And how about the steady stream of “I means” and “you knows” that adorned the conversation of the smartest woman in creation? It is to her near-invisibility that she owes her current popularity. But once she steps into the glare of the limelight, all those memories will flood back.

And then there is her extensive lurid record: the Whitewater affair, the cattle-futures scam, the White House Travel Agency caper, the cover-up of her philandering husband’s hyperactive “social life” by setting up and running a secret goon squad to intimidate and muzzle dozens of his paramours, the looting of the White House, the tender kiss the profoundly moved First Lady from Washington planted on the cheek of the First Lady from Ramallah after hearing Suha Arafat denounce those dastardly Jews for poisoning Palestinian wells (Hillary thereby achieved the impossible: in 2000, running for the Senate in New York, she managed to drive down the Jewish vote for a Democrat to barely above 50 percent), the innumerable little silly lies that flew out of her mouth as effortlessly as from Joe Biden’s. The only miracle of her sordid public life is that she somehow managed to stay one step ahead of the law and avoid prison. Anyone else would land behind bars for a fraction of what she had done, but the ostensibly blindfolded Goddess of Justice studiously averted her gaze from the 43rd First Lady. There is no telling whose reputations were at her mercy in the mountain of FBI raw files Bill and Hillary Clinton took care to procure as soon as they ensconced themselves in the White House.

To sum up, politically, the secretary of state cannot challenge the president; she carries too much baggage, and on top of that, she fails to offer a genuine alternative to the current occupant of the White House. Why would the voter who has grown sick and tired of his old car trade it for an identical model except for the hood ornament? So how do liberals spell relief? It’s anybody’s guess, but it surely ain’t H-I-L-L-A-R-Y.

The hype over Hurricane Irene is overblown, predicts the CEO of Advanced Forecasting Corporation.

    (Just like BO.)

“North of Delaware, most hurricane force winds will very likely be gusts, not sustained winds.”

o The demise of Irene has already begun. There is no visible eye. The storm intensity is down to 99 mph. This would be a low-end category 2 or a strong category 1 storm, while 36 hours ago some predicted a catastrophic category 4 storm. Air Force Reserve aircraft have found that Irene’s eyewall has collapsed, and the central pressure has risen — rising pressure means a weakening storm.

o The reduction in storm intensity likely confirms that this storm is not going to be as monstrous as it has been publicly forecast to be.

o Yes, it will be windy. However, north of Delaware most hurricane force winds will very likely be gusts, not sustained winds.

  71. Did anyone wath Hannity last night, some fluffer was asked by Hannity “…What can Obama run on, for his 2012 campaign?”

What was his only answer, after a very long, serious pause to think?

Yup, that’s all he could think of.

Not only is this fluffer got nada good to say about is plastic Calf, but he thinks the MSM has well hidden all Barry’s corruption.

Both Hannity and I were almost dumbstruck by that answer.

  72. This article goes back in time but the story exposes what we selected for POTUS and we could have had Hillary.Sad and sickening story of the messiah.

have been covering the crime and corruption ties as well as other aspects of Obama’s past and character on this blog. I urge you to search on Obama, Rezko, Blagojevich or any aspect of Obama you want answers to.

Journalist, Evelyn Pringle, has been doing a lot of indepth research into Obama’s many long time connections to crime and corruption in Chicago and Illinois. Here are some exerpts from her research:

“The names of Obama and Blagojevich became tied to the bid rigging scandal when reports surfaced that Companion had sought their help in carrying out the contract a year after Alsammarae left office, and around the same time he was thrown in jail in Iraq.”

“US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald does not make a habit of destroying pubic officials by listing them in indictments for no reason and the only two political candidates identified as receiving campaign money from Operation Board Games kickback schemes are Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and the US Senator from Illinois, Barack Obama.”

“Instead of referring to Board Games as the “Rezko” case, before long the media will likely be calling it the “Blagojevich” case. However, because the governor did not become the presidential candidate, when the scandal is recorded in the history books it will be the “Barack Obama” case. “

“Dr Michel Malek gave Obama $10,000 a little over a month before the first meeting on June 30, 2003. He also donated $25,000 to Blagojevich three weeks later on July 25, 2003, and gave Obama another $500 in September 2003. Malek was an investor in Riverside Park. “

“Dr Fortunee Massuda donated $25,000 to Blagojevich on July 25, 2003, and gave a total of $2,000 to Obama on different dates. Massuda’s husband, Charles Hannon, is a co-schemer in the pension fund case and testified against Rezko in the trial.”

“ In the media, Obama always made it sound like he rarely saw Rezko, saying they met for breakfast or lunch once or twice a year. However, the FBI mole John Thomas helped investigators “build a record of repeat visits to the old offices of Rezko and former business partner Daniel Mahru’s Rezmar Corp., at 853 N. Elston, by Blagojevich and Obama during 2004 and 2005,” according to the February 10, 2008 Sun-Times.”

“On May 20, 2005, the Times said, “Two Rezko associates gave Blagojevich $25,000 each just days after the governor named them to a state panel.”

However, the reporters either failed to notice, or failed to mention, that panel member Malek gave $10,000 to Obama on June 30, 2003. “

More detail on the continuing outright criminality of Obama’s administration:

    August 23, 2011 • 9:30AM (LPAC)

Obama is now guilty of obstruction of justice for interfering in a criminal investigation</, in addition to all his other impeachable criminal acts!

A New York Times story by Gretchen Morgenson datelined Aug. 21 says that Obama’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan and the Justice Department have been waging an intensive campaign to force New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman to drop his investigations of Bank of America and other Wall Street predators, and instead join in settlement talks, which seek to have the 50 state Attorneys General and the DOJ let all the Wall Street banks off the hook for all their mortgage fraud and mortgage securitization fraud, in exchange for [a small percentage of their fraudulently-gotten gains.]

Schneiderman, with Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden (the Vice-President’s son) and Nevada’s Catherine Cortez Masto, disagree with clauses barring them from [further investigation and prosecution of the banking crimes], and have declined to participate in negotiating a settlement deal on that basis.

“Mr. Donovan and others in the administration have been contacting not only Mr. Schneiderman but his allies, including consumer groups and advocates for borrowers, seeking help to secure the attorney general’s participation in the deal, these people said. One recipient described the calls from Mr. Donovan, but asked not to be identified for fear of retaliation.” [NYT]

[Are they using prospective settlement money to try to bribe the consumer and advocacy groups?]

Morgenson says that Schneiderman’s intervention to try to block a sweetheart settlement on crooked Bank of America mortgages “angered Bank of New York Mellon, and as Mr. Schneiderman was leaving the memorial service last week for Hugh Carey, the former New York governor who died Aug. 7, an attendee said Mr. Schneiderman became embroiled in a contentious conversation with Kathryn S. Wylde, a member of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York who represents the public [hah!]. Ms. Wylde, who has criticized Mr. Schneiderman for bringing the lawsuit, is also chief executive of the [Wall Street] Partnership for New York City. The New York Fed has supported the proposed settlement.

Damon A. Silvers, associate general counsel for the AFL-CIO is serving Schneiderman as a special counsel on a pro bono basis.

Obama’s illegal interference will not save Wall Street, or even Bank of America, from collapse. But it does provide another grounds for his impeachment, for those with the courage to do so.

  80. …the Obama administration is trying to secure its 2012 campaign war chest with that settlement deal.

That should have been bold in the post above.

  81. Speaking of that principle (elite immunity),

Dick Cheney will prance around the next several weeks in the nation’s largest media venues [selling his book], engaging in civil, Serious debates about whether he was right to invade other countries, torture, and illegally spy on Americans, and will profit greatly by doing so. There are many factors accounting for his good fortune, the most important of which are the protective shield of immunity bestowed upon him by the current administration and the more generalized American principle that criminal accountability is only for ordinary citizens and other nations’ (unfriendly) rulers.

(David Hicks, an Australian citizen imprisoned without charges for six years at Cheney’s Guantanamo, just had $10,000 seized by the Australian government in revenue from his book about his time in that prison camp on the ground that he is barred from profiting from his uncharged, unproven crimes.)

After All The CRIMES, Who Will Miss Barack Obama If He Is Prosecuted and Jailed?

No offense intended; I’m aware of the arguments that can be made. I’m just fed up with the toleration of crimes on this scale. Obama is a criminal.

Here is a map of the latest storm tracker:

    http://weather.projo.com/tropical/tracking/at201109.html

If the storm stays on track as the predicted. It will come ashore at 2pm Sunday afternoon here. When a storm comes ashore it naturally weakens not having the warm waters of the ocean giving it strength. At that point, the storm tracker sees it heading for central MA with coastal RI on the fringes and in the process of evacuation.

Sunday afternoon sounds like it’s far away. But from previous experience, we will be experiencing the effects of the storm long before it passes over us.

High tides are expected early this am along the coastal routes which will make for powerful waves predicted up to 11′ high accompanied with deep beach erosion.

I’m hoping Basil is right. Our building is in the middle of major renovations basically stripped of it’s wood siding prepped for new siding (which we didn’t need) living in the white plastic covers of Tyvec for now. Oy!

If our power goes out which I think it will. As recommended, I turned up the refrig and freezer to the Max that should hold throughout as long as we keep the openings to a minimum. I’ve prepared several dishes for re-heating later-on on the gas stove. We should be fine unless a tree falls on the roof on my bedroom. I’m 20′ away from the Forest Reserve and have always held that fear.

The cell will come in handy for reading and posting short updates here…if all Hell breaks loose.

Take care lil ole grape- you’re really out there.. let us know how you are doing from time to time.. stay safe.

  84. Latest updates from our local nbc station:

Thanks, Mrs. Smith – I pray you stay safe, too! – you’re a valuable contributor to His44. We’re on the lee side of the island and well above sea level, but I am worried about island people living on low-lying areas close to the water. Hope they’ll do the smart thing and go to a shelter. We’re inviting some to our house, although it’s surrounded by trees because I love them, but even great oaks can crack in a mean wind. If the roof stays on and the trees don’t fall on us, we should be ok. MV is thick with trees. From the air the island looks solid green. Off to work now to shut down and unplug computer systems there. Have you heard this tip? — fill zip-closing plastic bags with water, freeze them and distribute them inside your refrigerator to keep food cold if power goes out.

My Message to Secretary Clinton, de-list the MEK

By Brian Binley, (Conservaative) Member of (UK) Parliament for Northampton South

If ever there was a time for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to remove the main Iranian opposition group People’s Mojahedin (MEK / PMOI) from the US list of terrorist organisations, today is that day.

I attended a rally by thousands of Iranian-Americans today outside the State Department, where participants, young and old, urged Secretary Clinton to de-list the MEK as she has been ordered to do by the DC Court of Appeal.

Thousands of MEK members have repeatedly come under deadly attack in their main base in Camp Ashraf, Iraq, by Iraqi armed forces at the behest of Iran’s fundamentalist regime. Iraq’s Prime Minister Nuri Maliki uses the terror label as an excuse to murder the residents. In April 36 MEK members were slaughtered by Iraqi forces and hundreds of others were injured. Maliki has now threatened to close the camp and expel the residents by force at the end of the year.

The MEK was blacklisted in Washington in 1997 as a “goodwill gesture” to Iran in the hope that the mullahs could be placated to abandon terrorism and repression. The British government labelled the group as terrorist in 2001 for similar reasons. Yet the mullahs have not only continued to use terror at home and abroad; they are now fast pursuing an illegal nuclear weapons program.

As one of the 35 Parliamentarians who were successful in legally challenging our government to delist the MEK in the UK, I know that our victory tells us all we need to know about the decision Secretary of State Clinton must now make. Every single shred of evidence available to the British government was placed before the British courts. Much of this information was made up of Iranian regime misinformation, but also a great deal was provided by the US authorities. We are all fully aware that intelligence between the UK and US governments is widely shared and in the case of the MEK it was no different. Based on all this information, including every piece of evidence US authorities shared with their UK counterparts, the British courts found the ban on the MEK to have been ‘perverse’ and ‘flawed’. Perverse in legal terms is a damning indictment of the British government’s attitude towards the MEK, meaning in this instance that no reasonable and honest Secretary of State based on the information put before him or her could have come to the conclusion that the MEK was a terrorist organisation.

We are fully aware that the listing of the MEK in the US and UK was never honest nor was it reasonable, rather it was an attempt by previous administrations to pander to the wishes of the Iranian regime and hold out a hand of friendship to this vile regime. The regime gratefully took our hand and has for years used to it to slap us with, as it continues to support terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan with 7 out of every 10 Coalition deaths directly linked to the Iranian regime while continuing to defy the international community over its nuclear weapons program.

WikiLeaks revelations have indicated that the British government’s delaying tactics in relation to that legal challenge were as a result of fear for the repercussions which the regime may commit against British interests in Iran and specifically the British Embassy. In reality the regime’s threats were nothing but hot air.

Now Secretary of State Clinton must do what is just. She must do what the legal system of the United States requires her to do and that is to immediately remove the MEK from the US list of banned organisations. The judgments of the British and European courts have unequivocally proven that no case exists for maintaining a ban on the MEK.

For far too long the MEK has unjustifiably been banned in the US to please the vile regime of Tehran, a vile regime which has continually used the ban to justify the torture and execution of hundreds of thousands and now the US ban is used by the Iraqi authorities to justify the massacre of Camp Ashraf residents.

This is now a matter of life and death. Maintaining this illegitimate ban on the MEK will lead to the massacre of all Camp Ashraf residents. Secretary of State Clinton must immediately remove the MEK from the list, not only because that is her legal duty, but further because it will allow the safety of the Camp Ashraf residents to be guaranteed while sending a clear message to the Iranian people that we support their right to democracy and freedom.

  87. Thanks, for the tip lil ole grape..

I expect you are keeping watch tracking the storm as well.

I went over a little earlier before 9am to CVS. Long line waiting to get in. Decided to try the Supermarket next door. I could pick up a few things I missed yesterday. Lo and behold, a table was set up the entrance with assorted candles, T-lites and…. ‘D’ BATTERIES! Not many of those babies on the table. A dozen pkgs at most. An older gentleman standing there ahead of me scooped up an armful saying he has a Big Radio. I said, well nice of you to leave some… for those of us that don’t have any for… ?flashlights? ..ahem! He put a few pkgs back on the table… Then home again.. It’s starting to rain now.. I guess this is the precursor to the outer fringes big storm…

Stay safe, lil ole grape.. ck in often. The storm is going directly over you on the way to LI.. Bet Bill and Hill ckd out of the beautiful place they had rented..

Where is tim? Haven’t seen him around in a while. Ck in Tim.. please..
