When Will Obama Visit The Devastation?

We discussed yesterday the smart way Donald Trump is responding to race-baiters. That response is appropriate to attempts to shut up others politically with the toxic shout of “racist”.

There is another type of race-baiting designed to appeal emotionally to white liberal guilt and to African-Americans who are less and less enamored with Barack Obama. Here is an example of that type of emotional race-baiting:

“The worst part of it all wasn’t that we had to listen to Donald Trump’s narcissistic ramblings or watch his bad hair flapping in the wind. It was that my president, our president, had to stand in front of the world and justify his right to be in the White House..

And Trump’s assault on the president’s integrity hasn’t stopped. He now questions the president’s academic standing and worthiness to have been accepted into Ivy League Schools like Columbia and Harvard law.

Worse than all of this, was that just like the late baseball legend Jackie Robinson before him, President Obama has to put up with the insults, lunacy, and outright bigotry with a smile. He can’t lose his cool because he is the first. He must handle himself with grace and class or the next black candidate for president won’t stand a chance.

For many of us who are educated African-Americans of a new generation, we get it. We live it. We know what it feels like to be the first in our firms, corporations, universities, or industries. We know coded race talk when we see it. We know what it feels like to be delegitimized, and questioned, stared down in a funny way regardless of the accolades and laurels of our degrees or achievements.

And we hurt for the president yesterday.

We tweeted and Facebooked, texted and emailed in total shock and awe. I think it took a good five minutes for my younger brother, a minister, and my mom to calm me down on the phone as I was yelling at the top of my lungs about how appalled I was that the president of the United States was being treated in such a shameful manner. I truly felt off center — like I had personally been kicked. Once we stopped and prayed, I was able to put pen to paper and begin to write down my thoughts.”

How can anyone respond to such well-crafted emotional blackmail? And that is all it is, emotional blackmail. The emotional blackmail is “you are hurting me when you do not politically support the person I support so shut up.” The only way to respond to politically motivated emotional blackmailers, presumably they are of adult age though they try to dodge adult responsibility, is to confront them with facts. Confront the emotional blackmail race-baiters with cold, brutal, unyielding, uncompromising, slap-in-the-face, FACTS.

Today the brutal facts come from Ron Brownstein:

“… Many of the groups that Obama needs to turn out most enthusiastically in 2012—particularly young people, African-Americans, and Latinos—are still suffering the most as the economy crawls back from the Great Recession. That dynamic looms like a crack in the foundation for Obama’s reelection, which relies on those groups surging to the polls in 2012 after their participation sagged even more than usual in the 2010 midterms.

The continued strain on the groups at the core of Obama’s coalition underscores the political stakes in his recent turn toward deficit reduction. [snip]

To Borosage and like-minded critics, that means Obama is consigning himself to relatively high levels of unemployment in 2012. The risk is especially great among the groups that Obama most needs to mobilize. In the latest federal figures, unemployment stood at 15.5 percent among African–Americans, 13.4 percent among young people, and 11.9 percent among Latinos. In each case, those figures are down since January but still higher than when Obama took office—and considerably higher than among whites (8.3 percent).”

Those are facts. Not emotional blackmail, those are facts. The gentry white liberals and intellectuals who mock the White Working Class for supposedly voting against their interests, in such books as “What’s the Matter With Kansas,” do not dare slap African-Americans and gentry whites and young people with the facts.

What’s the matter with YOU Barack Obama apologists? Why do you support your oppressor? Those are the FACTS. The ugly, brutal, facts:

“The Economic Policy Institute, a left-leaning think tank, recently analyzed the trends in greater detail. Its findings should chill the White House. Unemployment among workers younger than 25 with only a high school diploma averaged almost 23 percent in 2010—nearly double the level in 2007. Even among workers that age with a college degree, unemployment has averaged nearly 10 percent over the past year. There are enough Latinos in 15 states for the Bureau of Labor Statistics to track their job status; in 12 of them (including such battlegrounds as Colorado, Florida, and Nevada), the Latino unemployment rate exceeded 10 percent last year. In all 23 states in which there are enough African Americans to reliably measure unemployment, the average rate last year exceeded 10 percent; in 17 of them, it exceeded 15 percent.

The pain in these communities extends beyond unemployment to a historic liquidation of wealth. Census figures, for instance, show that homeownership rates have declined significantly faster among both African-Americans and Latinos than whites.

In 2008, Obama won three-fifths of voters under 30, two-thirds of Latinos, and 95 percent of African-Americans. With his support among older and blue-collar whites eroding, he needs big showings among all those groups again in 2012.”

The race-baiting, emotional and other strains, are to gin up the vote for the oppressor. Barack Obama has always done very well for himself, but those that protect him the most (think Alice Palmer, his freezing constituents), suffer the most. Recall the record of “racist” Bill Clinton (Bill became a “racist” when he campaigned for Hillary and her lifelong work to help those Barack Obama has swindled). Recall all those great jobs and all those new homes when “racist” Bill Clinton fought for you every day? They’re gone. Obama took ’em.

Keep apologizing, keep defending – Obama has a great big grin when you act like such fools – embrace the oppressor:

“There’s no sign of wavering in Obama’s black support. But in 2010, exit polls found that the Democratic vote in House elections dipped among both young people (to 55 percent) and Latinos (to 60 percent). In Gallup’s weekly averages of its tracking poll, Obama’s approval rating has reached 60 percent among Latinos only once since January—and has never been that high among young people. His ratings among both groups have fallen below 50 percent over the past two weeks; among Latinos, he’s at his lowest level ever.

Against those warning signs, the White House is betting that these young and minority voters will mostly look forward, not back, as they choose in 2012. Recent Gallup polling shows that while young people and minorities are more negative than older whites about their current economic circumstances, they are also more optimistic about their financial future. One senior White House official argues that such optimism suggests a residual faith in Obama.”

Idiots of America Unite! You might lose your oppressor. Fight for your exploiter! Defend your tormentor – he has a grin you like – he has a skin color which thrills you.

Brownstein is not writing anything readers of Big Pink will be shocked by. Here is what we wrote on March 24, 2009 in “The “Who Obama Hurts Most” Press Conference”:

“We think Big Media should focus questions on who Obama hurts most – his supporters.[snip]

We are talking about young people and African-American supporters who were ever so fervent in their religious worship of Obama.

Mind, some of Hillary Clinton’s strongest supporters were African-Americans who courageously withstood the race-baiting attempts to force them to support the Mess-iah. [snip]

Many young people too cared about the content of character over color and supported Hillary Clinton. But many young people voted for the celebrity, do-nothing, flim-flam, unqualified, race-baiting, and gay-bashing, and woman hating, Barack Obama.

Now, the chickens have come home to roost for African-Americans and young people:”

Spare us the emotional blackmail because we have sufficient emotional outrage to drown you out in that battlefield. And we warned you. We warned you the day after the 2008 general elections in “Big Media Elects Its Stooge“:

“Last night Obama kool-aid drinkers think they won, but they did not. It was a win for Big Media and the Obama strategy, as betrayed by his history, of picking an unsavory actor and doing his (in this case, its) bidding in order for Obama to advance himself.

Obama kool-aid drinkers will swagger in confidence and proclaim themselves winners. But they will soon learn they are not part of the “we” in “we won”. Americans who, battered by years of Bush and his myriad disasters, cast aside their doubts about Obama in desperate hope for “change” will also discover they are not part of the “we” of “we won”. [snip]

Need we once again repeat the Obama history of betrayal?

When Obama desired to advance himself in Illinois he took up with corrupt machine politicians in order to advance his career. When Obama desired to advance himself in Chicago he took up with the now convicted Rezko and abandoned poor and black constituents as they froze in Rezko controlled tenements which Obama himself had helped Rezko interests acquire. When Obama desired to advance himself he organized a gay-bashing tour of South Carolina. When Obama desired to advance himself he race-baited. [snip]

Obama supporters want us and themselves to believe that the leopard changes its spots, that history is not a teacher, that the scorpion changes its nature. [snip]

Obama kool-aid drinkers will soon be presented with the small fine print of Obama’s promises. [snip] Like with FISA, Obama will soon forget all those campaign promises and crib drown them in a sea of flowery words and say “it can’t be done now”. [snip]

Obama, who strategically employed “change”, is the third Bush term – just as inexperienced, only more grandiose and with even more messianic delusions.”

[Notice the very first use of “The Third Bush Term” post election. Kudos to us!]

Don’t expect Barack Obama to visit the economic devastation he has wrought. He’ll do publicity stunts which allow him to pretend to care but he won’t look the people he flim-flamed in the face and explain the fullness of his failures.

** * * * *

Yesterday we explained Donald Trump was very smart in how he responded to the race-baiters. Later in the day, in Las Vegas, Donald Trump was at a 900 person rally which gave Big Media the vapors because Donald Trump “dropped the F-bomb.” Horrors. What happened? Did Donald Trump go stupid?

Let’s stipulate that we do not appreciate crude language. Such ghastly behavior gives us the vapors. Our frail sensitivities aside, what was Donald Trump up to last night?

Donald Trump knew today was a tough day to squeeze into the news cycle. There was the weather tornado sucking up homes and attention, a space shuttle launch blasting hard-to-compete-with light and noise, another Obama publicity stunt to pretend he cares, and a massive wedding that nearly melted the internet. Trump understood he needed a hook to wiggle his way into the news

Trump knows Big Media wants to squeeze him out of any and all news programs. Big Media wants the narrative that post-birth certificate Donald Trump is no longer a player. Donald Trump knew he had to squeeze into today’s news cycle or else he would be consigned to oblivion.

Bill Clinton had the same problem in 1992 as his campaign for president faded to third place behind Ross Perot and George H. W. Bush. Bill Clinton, in a widely mocked (by Big Media) publicity stunt, put on some shades, grabbed the saxophone, and wailed that wild sax on the Arsenio Hall show. Bill Clinton got attention and fought his way into the news cycle and the presidency.

Donald Trump needed a publicity stunt to get in the news cycle too. It was a tough news cycle to bust a move in but Trump managed it. In ‘sin city” Trump dropped the dreaded F-bomb. Trump got into the news cycle and on coveted spots in the network evening news.

Did Trump lose by winning? Did he win a spot in the news cycle but lose the delicate ears of the nation? Consider the well targeted F-bombs placement before you answer the question.

Post the birth certificate, Donald Trump is pivoting his campaign. The deployed F-bombs brought attention to these sentences to an American public distracted by wedding cake:

Saudi Arabia wants to keep raising the price of oil because we have no one in Washington who sits back and says you’re not going to raise that f**king price!

To China: “Listen, you motherf***ers, we’re going to tax you 25 percent

The Donald also dropped the F-bomb, but it was censored, when he said “We go to Afghanistan. We go to Iraq. We build a school. We build a road. They blow up the school. We build another school, another road. They blow them up. We build again. In the meantime, we can’t get a school built in Brooklyn,” [insert F-bomb between “a” and “school”]

Americans who hear those soundbites might be offended by the ever so shocking language – but Trump wants them to at least hear those sentences. Trump bets that the reaction will be: (1) pearls clutched, “Heavens to Betsy!” exclaimed; (2) pearls eventually un-clutched and a deep breath taken; (3) “his phrasing is crude but I agree with him.”

The smartest pivot from last night though is how Trump continues to use the birth certificate issue, with a very sly twist which goes to Trump strengths and Obama’s weakness:

“The trip is his second in as many days to one of the states that will help determine the Republican presidential nomination. On Wednesday, Trump visited New Hampshire and claimed credit for Obama’s release of his long-form birth certificate, despite having questioned its existence for weeks. In Las Vegas, a jubilant Trump basked in applause once again.

“He did it because we went after him hard. We’re tough negotiators like this country needs,” he said. “I just ask him one thing: Why didn’t he do it two or three years ago? Why does he have to put this country through turmoil?”

Short version: Trump Defends America, Obama Apologizes For America.

Short version: Trump Means America On The Rise, Obama Means Obama On The Decline.

Short version: Trump Tough, Obama Weak.

Only the Obama apologists who applaud the oppressor will argue with those FACTS.

  1. What Trump is trying to demonstrate to his audience with his F-bombs is that he means business and will say exactly what he thinks about Obama and his administration. If that’s too sensitive for Big Media and Obama supporters, well f**k them.

  2. I love the F word myself.

  6. Clinton to attend Rome talks on Libya conflict: US
    (AFP) – 4 hours ago

WASHINGTON — US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will visit Rome next week for fresh talks on how to help the rebels fighting in Libya and protect civilians caught in the cross-fire, US officials said Friday.

The talks will focus on how to supply arms to the rebels battling Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi and whether to allow them to sell oil on international markets, Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini has said.

“Clinton will travel to Rome, Italy May 4-6 to participate in a meeting of the Libya Contact Group,” the State Department’s acting deputy spokesman Mark Toner said in a statement.

This will be the second official meeting of the contact group after one in Doha on April 13, which was attended by leaders of the Libyan opposition’s shadow government, the Transitional National Council.

The group composed of Western countries, Turkey, Arab states, the United Nations, Arab League and NATO was set up in London on March 29.

The new talks “will build on” the Doha meeting and “will allow the United States to discuss with its international partners the ongoing implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1970 and 1973,” Toner said.

Resolution 1970, adopted February 26 after Colonel Moamer Kadhafi’s regime launched a bloody crackdown on a pro-democracy uprising, imposes bans on assets and travel on members of the regime as well as an arms embargo.

Adopted on March 17, the second resolution authorized “all necessary measures” to protect Libyan civilians, including air strikes on Kadhafi’s ground forces and a no-fly zone.

It also called for an immediate ceasefire and for the regime to allow in emergency relief.

Toner said Clinton will also conduct a series of bilateral meetings, including with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, President Giorgio Napolitano, and top Italian diplomat Frattini.

Philip Gordon, the assistant secretary for Europe and Eurasian affairs, and Jeffrey Feltman, the assistant secretary for Near East affairs, will travel to the Italian capital with Clinton.

Update: Chronicle responds after Obama Administration punishes reporter for using multimedia, then claims they didn’t

Update: In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.

Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:

Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.

    The Chronicle’s report is accurate.

If the White House has indeed decided not to ban our reporter, we would like an on-the-record notice that she will remain the San Francisco print pool reporter.

I was on some of those calls and can confirm Ward’s statement.

Messy ball now firmly in White House court.

    —–
The hip, transparent and social media-loving Obama administration is showing its analog roots. And maybe even some hypocrisy highlights.

White House officials have banished one of the best political reporters in the country from the approved pool of journalists covering presidential visits to the Bay Area for using now-standard multimedia tools to gather the news.

The Chronicle’s Carla Marinucci – who, like many contemporary reporters, has a phone with video capabilities on her at all times -shot some protesters interrupting an Obama fundraiser at the St. Regis Hotel.

She was part of a “print pool” – a limited number of journalists at an event who represent their bigger hoard colleagues – which White House press officials still refer to quaintly as “pen and pad” reporting.

But that’s a pretty Flintstones concept of journalism for an administration that presents itself as the Jetsons. Video is every bit a part of any journalist’s tool kit these days as a functioning pen that doesn’t leak through your pocket.

In fact, Carla and her reporting colleague, Joe Garofoli, founded something called “Shaky Hand Productions” – the semi-pro, sometimes vertiginous use of a Flip or phone camera by Hearst reporters to catch more impromptu or urgent moments during last year’s California gubernatorial race that might otherwise be missed by TV.

The name has become its own brand; often politicians even ask if anyone from Shaky Hand will show at their event. For Carla, Joe and reporters at other Hearst newsrooms where Shaky Hand has taken hold, this was an appropriate dive into use of other media by traditional journalists catering to audiences who expect their news delivered in all modes and manners.

That’s the world we live in and the President of the United States claims to be one of its biggest advocates.

Just the day before Carla’s Stone Age infraction, Mr. Obama was at Facebook seated next to its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, and may as well have been wearing an “I’m With Mark” t-shirt for all the mutual admiration going back and forth.

“The main reason we wanted to do this is,” Obama said of his appearance, “first of all, because more and more people, especially young people, are getting their information through different media. And historically, part of what makes for a healthy democracy, what is good politics, is when you’ve got citizens who are informed, who are engaged.”

Informed, in other words, through social and other digital media where videos of news are posted.

The President and his staffers deftly used social media like Twitter and Facebook in his election campaign and continue to extol the virtues and value. Except, apparently, when it comes to the press.

So what’s up with the White House? We can’t say because neither Press Secretary Jay Carney nor anyone from his staff would speak on the record.

Other sources confirmed that Carla was vanquished, including Chronicle editor Ward Bushee, who said he was “informed that Carla was removed as a pool reporter.” Which shouldn’t be a secret in any case because it’s a fact that affects the newsgathering of our largest regional paper (and sfgate)and how local citizens get their information.

What’s worse: more than a few journalists familiar with this story are aware of some implied threats from the White House of additional and wider punishment if Carla’s spanking became public. Really? That’s a heavy hand usually reserved for places other than the land of the free.

But bravery is a challenge, in particular for White House correspondents, most of whom are seasoned and capable journalists. They live a little bit in a gilded cage where they have access to the most powerful man in the world but must obey the rules whether they make sense or not.

CBS News reporter, Mark Knoller, has publicly protested the limited press access to Obama fundraisers, calling the policy “inconsistent.” “It’s no way to do business,” wrote Politico’s Julie Mason, “especially [for] a candidate who prides himself on transparency.”

A 2009 blog by the White House Director of New Media states that “President Obama is committed to making his administration the most open and transparent in history.”

    Not last week.

Mason referred to the San Francisco St. Regis protest as “a highly newsworthy event” where “reporters had to rely on written pool reports…”

Except, thanks to Carla’s quick action with her camera, they didn’t.

I get that all powerful people and institutions want to control their image and their message. That’s part of their job, to create a mythology that allows them to continue being powerful.

But part of the press’ job is to do the opposite, to strip away the cloaks and veneers. By banning her, and by not acknowledging how contemporary media works, the White House did not just put Carla in a cage but more like one of those stifling pens reserved for calves on their way to being veal.

Carla cannot do her job to the best of her ability if she can’t use all the tools available to her as a journalist. The public still sees the videos posted by protesters and other St. Regis attendees, because the technology is ubiquitous. But the Obama Administration apparently wants to give the distinct advantage to citizen witnesses at the expense of professionals.

Why? Well, they won’t tell us.

Some White House reporters are grumbling almost as much as the Administration about Carla’s “breaking the rules.” I can understand how they’d be irritated. If you didn’t get the video because you understood you weren’t supposed to, why should someone else get it who isn’t following the longstanding civilized table manners?

The White House Press Correspondents’ Association pool reporting guidelines warn about “no hoarding” of information and also say, “pool reports must be filed before any online story or blog.” While uploading her video probably was the best way to file her report, Carla may have technically busted the letter of that law.

But the guidelines also say, “Print poolers can snap pictures or take video. They are not obliged to share these pictures…but can make them available if they so choose.”

Then what guidelines is the White House applying here? Again, we don’t know.

What the Administration should have done is to use this incident to precipitate a reasonable conversation about changing their 1950’s policies into rules more suited to 2011. Dwight Eisenhower was the last President who let some new media air into the room when he lifted the ban on cameras at press conferences in 1952.

“We’ve come full circle here,” Tom Rosenstiel, director of the Pew Foundation’s Project for Excellence in Journalism told me today. “A newspaper reporter is being punished because she took pictures with a moving camera. We live in a world where there are no longer distinctions. The White House is trying to live by 20th century distinctions.”

The President’s practice not just with transparency but in other dealings with the press has not been tracking his words, despite the cool glamour and easy conversation that makes him seem so much more open than the last guy.

It was his administration that decided to go after New York Times reporter James Risen to get at his source in a book he wrote about the CIA. For us here in SF who went through the BALCO case and other fisticuffs with the George W. Bush Attorney General’s prosecutors, this is deja vu.

Late today, there were hints that the White House might be backing off the Carla Fatwa.

Barack Obama sold himself successfully as a fresh wind for the 21st century. In important matters of communication, technology, openness and the press, it’s not too late for him to demonstrate that.

  14. Admin. There is another type of race-baiting designed to appeal emotionally to white liberal guilt and to African-Americans who are less and less enamored with Barack Obama. Here is an example of that type of emotional race-baiting . . .
    —————————————
I am afraid I have a rather cynical reaction to this Sophia Nelson who wrote that mawkish article in a futile effort to trash Donald in order to protect Obama. Yes, she is black. But that is not really the point. The point is she is a black careerist lawyer. In other words she is a social climber in the Washington establishment, which is very different for someone who cares about the less fortunate.

In one of the early episodes of Law and Order there was an interesting conversation between the Chief Assistant District Attorney Stone and one of his subordinates named Paul. The subordinate was black and he started to play the race card. Whereupon Stone asked him the right question: do you want to be thought of as a black attorney, or an attorney who happens to be black–there is a big difference you know.

With her orientation, I would not be surprised if she ends up in Holder’s Voting Rights Section where discrimination against white people is de rigeur.

My doctor’s daughter graduated from a good law school a few years ago. She has been working as a waitress ever since. One day one of her classmates came into the restaurant. This classmate had finished top of her class, so the doctors daughter felt very embarrassed to be seen by waiting tables. The classmate saw her before she could duck out, and before she could start making excuses the other attorney said I cannot find a legal job, do you suppose this place would hire me. It is pretty tough for these kids, because in addition to unemployment many of them have huge student loans to pay off. But Obama does not give a damned about anyone except himself. Besides they are white, and in his ranks it is like the old sign Irish need not apply.

I agree, votes have consequences and 2008 was probably the most important election of my lifetime. The students weren’t feeling sorry for themselves, oblivious to the fact that their future is going to suck. 2000 may have been the next most important election. The momentum of the Clinton 90’s put into reverse by Bush/Cheney. Reminds me of a former work associate who constantly raged on me for being a Dem. and telling me how great Bush was and how we needed tax cuts. I said that neither I nor the country needed tax cuts when the govt was in a position to begin lowering the debt. After the tax cuts went through, I asked her how she made out. “Not that great”, said she. Well said I, the tax cut that I didn’t want went to buying a Porsche 911 twin turbo….she never spoke to me again.

    Trump says “WTF”.

  22. Interview by Laura Ingraham (sp?) with a head guy of the black chamber of commerce. He admits he voted for BO based on color, regrets it now, and says he is so scared for this country.

  23. Although I agree with what you wrote 100%, admin, these people will never blame Øbama for anything. Don’t you see, it’s the white man who controls everything, and if it were up to Øbama, things would be different. No matter how plainly it stares them in the face, they will be in denial.

  24. Saw this, haven’t checked it:

Abraham Lincoln did not have a birth certificate.
Nixon did not have a birth record until May 26th, 1942:
“It’s a delayed birth certificate that the county clerk created in 1942 when Nixon was entering active duty in the Naval Reserves. His father swore under oath that his son, Richard, was born in the family’s home in their orange grove on Yorba Linda Blvd. in the Township of Fullerton, and that his other son, Donald, was born the next year at a residence (the home of the Milhous family — Nixon’s maternal grandmother and grandfather’s place) on Whittier Blvd. in Whittier, CA.”

Eisenhower did not have a record of his birth until they manufactured one in 1952. No doctor or hospital is named:
Eisenhower was allegedly born on October 14, 1890 in Denison, Texas. After receiving a letter from an undisclosed New York law firm during the 1952 presidential campaign, Harold Schmitzer, the Denison City Secretary replied that Eisenhower did not have a birth certificate filed with with the Grayson County Clerk’s Office [a now-familiar pattern in U.S. presidential genealogies].
Roberts then requested compiled birth information from Gen. Eisenhower through Mamie Eisenhower in Denver, Colorado. The information was entered into a formal, legal birth certificate and sent to Arthur B. Eisenhower (in Kansas City, Missouri) to be notarized as an official witness to the birth.

  25. BIRTHERS? HOW ABOUT, “THOSE WHO DEMAND TRANSPARENCY AND RESPECT THE CONSTITUTION”?

So here’s how us ahem, “birthers”, frame the topic: Obama has NOT been transparent about releasing just about ANYTHING from his personal life.

Anyone who wants to play on the presidential stage has to relinquish quite a lot of privacy in order to earn the public’s trust. If you want to be “off the grid”, get out of the fucking White House.

If some New York Times lefty said, “Well McCain (or Hillary) should have to produce real long form birth certificates and SSNs and school records and medical charts”, I’d say: “I AGREE!”. It’s a no brainer.

Fingerprint them, do retinal scans, scour their high school SAT tests. Maybe we’d say, “look, in college, they smoked some weed and got a C- on a biochem exam; big whoop”.

But if they do not meet, AND DOCUMENT, the basic requirements of constitutional eligibility, then it’s “Houston, we have a problem”.

And THAT, my friends, is what the fear-stricken White House and their allies in the media are going through right now.

And all we have to do is stay calm, and demand proof.

An “on-line” birth certificate image??? Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME? And let’s talk about your CT SSN card…

Yeah, those bastards are sweating bullets. What else would account for the petulant dismisiveness of today’s NYT’s main editorial, pulling out the race card, in response to people questioning why it took three years for Obummer to cough up his “real birth certificate”, and then only to find out it’s just a bunch of pixels, “verified” by people who are not completely free of associations with the president.

They have some fuckin nerve getting up on their high horse that their preferred candidate should be given special treatment, that in not giving him special treatment, we are rabid racists spouting preposterous conspiracy theories. Go fuck yourselves, New York Times assholes. You have ceased to be relevant. I buy your rag to a) read your shit to see how to counter your insane left-wing tilt (and I say this as a life-long lefty with centrist tendencies), and b) gotta have the crossword puzzle.

So, 1600, we have a problem. Heh, heh.

  26. 2000 may have been the next most important election.

    ========================

Didn’t Bush in early 2001 dismantle some anti-terrorist guards that Clinton/Gore had in place? They had been talking for a while about intelligent terrorism being the next bit danger.

And even if the 9/11 attack had happened, I doubt President Gore would have reacted as badly as Bush did.

    Saw this, haven’t checked it:

Abraham Lincoln did not have a birth certificate.
Nixon did not have a birth record until May 26th, 1942:

Key difference: everybody from his immediate family who can vouch for Obama is dead.

  28. “Didn’t Bush in early 2001 dismantle some anti-terrorist guards that Clinton/Gore had in place? ”
    *********
Story is, that during the transition, the Clinton national security team tried to emphasize how serious a treat Bin Laden was and that a possible attack was “in the works”. The only thing that the Bush team wanted to hear was Iraq..Iraq since Bush had already decided to attack Iraq (To one up Dad??) The rest is history.

  29. I’m sure that Clinton/Gore also had some sort of program or agency going to watch out for ‘intelligent terrorism’, which Bush Jr shut down (or reduced?) because he thought it was unnecessary and a waste of money.

  30. Key difference: everybody from his immediate family who can vouch for Obama is dead.

    ==============

EVery white person, anyway. The black grandmother in Kenya who says she witnessed a birth in Kenya doesn’t count.

  31. Abraham Lincoln did not have a birth certificate.
Nixon did not have a birth record until May 26th, 1942:

    ——————–
Ergo . . . what? . . . and don’t tell me that Lincoln and Nixon were white, whereas Obama is half black.

Random associations of this nature prove nothing. They equate correlation with causation, which is the ploy of a propagandist.

Why? Because here there was probable cause, towit:

    1. did Lincoln or Nixon post a phony birth certificate on their website?

    2. did Lincoln or Nixon spend $2 million to resist its release?

    3. did Lincoln or Nixon disrespect America and sidle up to nations who are our sworn enemies?

  32. I know a lot of kids that voted for the half black guy, because they wanted to ‘give him a chance’, and also thought he was tech savvy and young.

As adults, it is our job to rub salt into their wounds every time they get frustrated at not being able to find a job, but letting them know that Obama is the reason we are in this DEPRESSION. That experience does matter.

They like to think that the country is in the dumper just because outside ‘forces’ caused it, what ever that means…and we need to teach them, every chance we have that this was their mistake as well as others that fell for meaningless words of hope and change.

  33. My response to the “birthers are racist” folks…

Imagine if there was a white man running for President named Barack Hussein Obama. Same white mom, same basic background, but in this case Barack Sr. is a white Arab Muslim from, say, Egypt or Jordan or Turkey. (I am deliberately avoiding countries with whom we are at war as well as countries like Syria or Lebanon that are known as hotbeds for terrorist organizations.) In the USA, it’s fairly common to find African-Americans– especially African-American males– who have Muslim or Islamic name. Think of Kareem Abdul Jabar, Mohammed Ali, and Ahmad Rashad. But a white man with a Muslim name is a different story. They are almost universally viewed as immigrants, foreigners, or something worse like terrorists or jihadists. Would America have been suspicious of a white Barack Hussein Obama? Hell, yes. Would America have voted for a white Barack Hussein Obama? Hell, no.

  34. …just happened to catch the whole speech T gave in Las Vegas on C-span…i think Tim may have left the link up thread, if not, it is probably on the c-span website… this is the speech with the various choice swear words…

…it is a must view…first off, no teleprompter for T…he speaks off the cuff…very conversational…he is talking directly to people…he kind of darts around a bit…but he makes his points and he speaks very down to earth…and he is funny…who knew he did stand-up comedy on top of everything else…

when you actually watch him connect with the audience and you listen to him…well, all i could picture was the comparison between T standing there talking about bringing jobs back to our country and starting to make things in our country again, instead of giving all our jobs and knowledge to China, etc…talking about things we care about and also saying things out loud that everyone knows and thinks but is too afraid or PC to say…he is very forceful…

…so you get this image of this guy who would be a very tough negotiator for us…the good old USA…and then the visual image of O standing there with his head bopping from left to right in that drone voice of his while he reads his teleprompter…

the comparison is so stark…it is like the difference between someone who is on fire and means business and someone who is asleep at the wheel and is going through some forced motions…

no wonder the whole establishment on both sides is so terrified of T…he is his own man…both sides are threatened by him coming in and breaking up their little self serving games…their collusion…T will come in and ‘knock some heads’

    ‘His unlikely dream’
    Obama talks about his father
    By POLITICO STAFF | 04/29/11 11:54 PM Updated: 04/30/11 12:14 AM

The president touched on his father’s history while speaking at Miami-Dade College.
The Associated Press published a story Friday about Barack Obama Sr.’s departure from Harvard decades ago, citing immigration documents that showed the president’s father was asked to leave “because the school was concerned about his personal life and finances.”
While that story was hitting the newswires, President Obama talked about his father briefly in the commencement address he delivered Friday evening to Miami-Dade College graduates:

“I didn’t know him well, my father — and he lived a troubled life. But I know that when he was around your age, he dreamed of something more than his lot in life. He dreamed of that magical place; he dreamed of coming to study in America.

“And when I was around your age, I traveled back to his home country of Kenya for the first time to learn his story. And I went to a tiny village called Alego, where his stepmother still lives in the house where he grew up, and I visited his grave. And I asked her if there was anything left for me to know him by. And she opened a trunk, and she took out a stack of letters — and this is an elderly woman who doesn’t read or write — but she had saved these letters, more than 30 of them, written in his hand and addressed to colleges and universities all across America.

“They weren’t that different from the letters that I wrote when I was trying to get into college, or the ones that you wrote when you were hoping to come here. They were written in the simple, sometimes awkward, sometimes grammatically incorrect, unmistakably hopeful voice of somebody who is just desperate for a chance — just desperate to live his unlikely dream.

“And somebody at the University of Hawaii — halfway around the world — chose to give him that chance. And because that person gave a young man a chance, he met a young woman from Kansas; they had a son in the land where all things are possible.”

    http://www.politico.com/politico44/perm/0411/his_unlikely_dream_e2b1efbb-e43e-4b32-8f33-dc6919fca696.html

  37. Hmmmm? a trunk full of letters? So they had a kinkos in Kenya in a tiny village circa 1962. More hogwash. If he wrote letters he mailed them so they wouldn’t be sitting in a trunk. Do the lies ever stop. Anyone still buy this bs. It has gotten so far out of hand. Like really bad soap opera writing. Gack.

  38. “I didn’t know him well, my father — and he lived a troubled life. But I know that when he was around your age, he dreamed of something more than his lot in life. He dreamed of that magical place; he dreamed of coming to study in America.

God! more emotional blackmail of the gullible and more fiction.

A philanderer and a bigamist who went around impregnating young and innocent(?) (white) women..

henry, soap opera writing is correct. How does she so magically find all the COLLEGE letters in a trunk just so this fool can say things like this in a commencement speech. Emotional blackmail (great phrase, admin).

  39. “but she had saved these letters, more than 30 of them, written in his hand and addressed to colleges and universities all across America.”

So, if they were mailed, why the hell would she have them? In those days, I doubt people made hand written copies, they wrote the letter and mailed it off, why the hell would the stepgrandmother have letters he admits she mailed?

Just like how he explains his parents met at Selma, this man is nothing but a f*cking liar (Hate to curse, but I can see why Trump does it, when the lies are this frequent and no one calls him out on it, the outrage just grows)

  40. part 3, we have a petulant little “man” playing the victim card all the time, and then we have a self made billionaire who doesn’t give a crap about PC, he will butt heads to get the job done.

  41. This is Romney’s attack against Obamacare, really. Pathetic!!

    Shane D’Aprile / Ballot Box:
Romney on healthcare: Obama should have asked me if it worked — Speaking before a crowd of conservative activists in New Hampshire Friday, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney again faced questions about the healthcare plan he championed as Bay State governor.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-presidential-primary/158437-romney-on-healthcare-obama-should-have-asked-me-if-it-worked

  42. What the freud are bambi’s people thinking? They are becoming pathological. The lies are growing exponentially. A trunk full of letters. Not even the most intoxicated of the kool-aid drinkers is going to but that horse shit. Did he really think he could pull off that lie and not be a laughing stock? He reeks of flat out desperation. And the more the likes of letterman come to his defense the sadder he seems. How any thinking person can read his commencement speech and not wet them self laughing is beyond me. He has so become a punchline. Thank you TRUMP.

  43. That story of the letters is just another to add to his fiction list–ridiculous.

I love this part: “They were written in the simple, sometimes awkward, sometimes grammatically incorrect, unmistakably hopeful voice of somebody who is just desperate for a chance”. So perhaps this is why his father, a Phd candidate, was having issues at Harvard? I’m pretty sure 100% of doctoral candidates there don’t write poorly… Amazing he would have to write so many letters to colleges and the one that finally bites is Harvard…

His father didn’t make much of that chance since we now know he never even attempted to finish is doctoral thesis and was an illegal alien…

  44. Whoops, meant to say Obama Sr. got to college in Hawaaii and then the college that suddenly accepts him for Phd is Harvard..

    Not awake this am…LOL

  45. how can waffles people be so dumb? The “letters’ pappy wrote are now going to be requested by the media. OOps my bad the media doesn’t question the one,

  46. admin, I enjoy the double entendre of this post’s title, and believe it could trip up the Oh’s most faithful.
BTW: On TV I’ve heard O called ‘Globama’ as a reference to his global aspirations.

  47. Why is soros still in existence? Guess its true only the good die young. At this point isn’t the creep petrified.

  48. His unlikely dream’
…And I went to a tiny village called Alego, where his stepmother still lives in the house where he grew up…

Who is this person. this stepmother? Was this whole speech written just to impeach his living grandmother’s account of witnessing his birth in Kenya? Why did the stepmother have the letters and not the mother? And the stepmother kept the letters in a trunk in the tiny village instead of using them to start a fire?

  49. who the f*ck is Dick Armey to tell the Tea Party who their candidate ?
While many of the fiscal policies I agree with, Armey is not the leader of the Tea Party movement, he isn’t, no one is. Are these fools for real? Barry will call Daniels a racist, and Daniels will go hide in a corner.
I am beginning to believe these repub are nothing but bunch of spineless cocktail drinking wimps. No wonder the Tea Party movement has both sides scared.

I forgot the all important word of NOT. He might not finance campaigns like he has in the past, because the two parties have become too polarized. He is another that does not realize that his promotion of O was his responsibility, and he is as responsible for what has gone on as anyone. In fact he s more responsbile.

what a pathetic little petulant child in the WH to demean hardworking blue collar americans and then to call them racists if they don’t support him.

  53. WHEN WILL OBAMA VISIT THE DEVASTATION?

God help us HASN’T HE ALREADY DONE THAT? Does he have more to visit on us?

racism is not an issue with my peeps. a family reunion looks like a UN meeting. i am probably the whitest visually and my grand mother was native american. As a kid had sleepovers and slept outside with friends who may have had a different hue but I wasn’t even aware of race until i went to college. And then it was surreal. almost like a competition. As an adult I just don’t have the energy for any of that noise.

“but she had saved these letters, more than 30 of them, written in his hand and addressed to colleges and universities all across America.”

Has anyone else here read the immigration file? It indicates that Sr did not do his work on time, ran out of money because he did not do his work on time, wanted more funding to not do his work on time, was doing something rather than studying which caused families and missionary boards to write INS and probably Harvard and U of H to complain about what would now be called predatory tendencies to young teenage females (he was mid to late twenties), when they finally “got rid of him”. Anything the WH says about his dreams to study is completely overshadowed by what he did when he was here. Sr. never lived with his mother and there was never a family with both O and Sr. in it. “Studying” is looking like a scam to get money so he could pursue other interests, ahem. He was determined to have two wives, continuously left off his marital status on his INS paperwork, did not complete required work for his thesis, and Harvard and INS did not trust him as far as they could throw him. Obama needs to stop digging the hole or he is going to fall in it. Dreams of My Father is now known to be a complete fabrication to create a biography or narrative for him that never existed.

  56. Ergo . . . what? . . . and don’t tell me that Lincoln and Nixon were white, whereas Obama is half black.

    ==============================

That is exactly the point. Ergo demands for a bc are not necessarily racist. And those presidents were Republicans, so demands for a bc are not always an Evil Republican Plot.

  57. Would America have been suspicious of a white Barack Hussein Obama? Hell, yes. Would America have voted for a white Barack Hussein Obama? Hell, no.

    ============================

    Oh, ouch, good point!

    ===========================

Well, that’s a change from the suggestion in his book DREAMS, that his parents met in a civil rights demonstration in Selma, Alabama and he was conceived under the famous bridge. (Might have been a noisy location that night.)

The next change I heard was that they met “because some people were willing to march across a bridge” — which famous march happened March 7, 1965, four years after he was born.

  59. So they had a kinkos in Kenya in a tiny village circa 1962. More hogwash. If he wrote letters he mailed them so they wouldn’t be sitting in a trunk.

    ———————

Good point. Though those might have been rough drafts, being full of errors.

  60. Dunno about Lincoln’s bc (did they even have paper back in those days?) … but according to the item I pasted, Nixon and Eisenhower were both born well inland in the continental US (Fullerton CA and Colorado — flyover country!). So being asked for a bc is neither a racial insult nor a geographical insult

  62. Former President Clinton: The Supremes Could Smoke Obamacare

    Posted by Dan Perrin (Profile)

    From the diaries by Erick

Note to the universe: do you really think the Supreme Court will act like there is a severability clause in ObamaCare, when one does not exist?

It’s not like the Supremes spend their dawns poring over statutes, line by line, or anything at all like that.

So, President Clinton thought he might mention it.

And now TIME magazine is reporting it.

I predict the Supremes will declare ObamaCare null and void.

After that, some time prior to the 2012 elections, The One and the Dems will wail and nash their teeth, while their political advisers pop champagne and get drunk like they just dodged a bullet with their name on it.

Just for good measure, the rational Dems will lock their health care maniacs in a room and treat them like Dr. Jekyll — you know, restrained so they will not injure themselves or others, since they cannot be trusted anywhere near the health care issue.

The Dems will, further, then rip the heads off any idiots in their own party who wants to reform health care — except for the single-payeristas, who will be viewed and used as both useful and harmless idiots.

The single-payeristas will then go on a decades long, failure-ridden quest to take over the U.S. health care system, yelling, mostly, we told you so.

The Dems, meanwhile, will have lost the U.S. House of Representatives and thinned their ranks in the U.S. Senate so substantially twice — once under Clinton and once under The One — that they will actually receive and understand the following message: reforming health care (passing a law) is an act of political suicide, unless it is done with the Republicans.

The Dems will understand, finally, that this is the only health care reform that does not have devastating and self-destructive political consequences.

Oh, and the top Dems that get locked in the Dr.-Jekyll-health-care-crazy-room, with their own troops being issued shoot-to-kill orders if they leave: The One, Senator Reid, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Representative Henry Waxman and Representative George Miller.

  63. The above is what I have said from the beginning. As a matter of law, that piece of legislative shit has no merit–it is unconstitutional and there is no room for serious debate. Not if the Constitution means anything.

As a matter of judicial politics, you have a divided court. I will not characterize them as jurists–particularly the two Obama appointed. I will simply say the vote will be 4 to 4 as between the partisans and Kennedy will cast the deciding vote that the law is unconstitutional.

Severability is not in the cards, because the Obamabots did not include it in the legislation (thinking this was brilliant strategy, because they thought it would box the court into an all or nothing decision–a poison pill of sorts, and now they must be ruing that decision, because the concomitant effect now is to box in Obama.

The other reason they will not sever the offensive provision, i.e. the mandatory pay provision, is because without it, the insurance companies are screwed and the program itself collapses under its own weight. How ironic that the very people who used puppet Obama to screw the American People end up getting screwed themselves–karma baby.

You could argue, I suppose, that President (lets call him president instead of former president–BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT HAD A PRESIDENT SINCE HE LEFT OFFICE, UP TO AND INCLUDING NOW) was playing politics, but I believe that he is a good enough lawyer to see the fatal defect.

    But we digress . . .

  64. “I didn’t know him well, my father — and he lived a troubled life. But I know that when he was around your age, he dreamed of something more than his lot in life. He dreamed of that magical place; he dreamed of coming to study in America.

What tripe!!! Lewis Carroll move over. We have found the sequel to Alice In Wonderland. It is called Bambi At 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue–Neverworld II.

  65. The themes for 2012

    1. Want move thrill up the leg? vote for bambi the thrilla from Kenya–weighs in at 125 pounds soaking wet. When the bell rings, he stays in his corner and hides. But manachevetts can he campaign–which is the practical equivalent of shadow boxing.

    2. Want a candidate who is scared of bami, scared of big media and talks the good talk about solving our problems, but caves when the chips are down? Vote for the establishment Republican candidate, and join him for drinks on the 19th hole–its an open tab.

    3. Want the candidate who will shake up to corrupt Washington establishment, tell our enemies in the world that the party is over and there is a new sheriff in town, and I did not accept this job to pass the buck, the American People need solutions now, and god help you if you get in my way, because I won’t. Vote for Trump, and against big media.

  66. very interesting, Fox news has a story on their main webpage about how Trump got a deferment from having to be drafted in Vietnam, its not the main story, but the second main one.

Trump I see having a respond of something like this:::: “yes, I deferred it, I wish I had the courage of the US military personnel, so I deferred, I’m not going to run from it, I’m not going to hide from it. I have tremendous courage for those who serve, and that’s why I want to continue to have a strong military. That’s more than can be said for our current President, President Obama who believes that the US military in Afghanistan is killing civilians and airraiding villages. I respect the US military, and I can’t imagine a CIC like Obama saying how he disrespects them but he did, just like he refused to place is hand over his heart during the pledge of allegience.”

  67. Barack Obama, Marxist
By Larry Johnson on April 29, 2011 at 9:24 PM in Current Affairs
God Bless Harry Alford. He voted for Obama because of Obama’s skin color and is now awake to the nightmare he helped create. Harry is the President of the National Black Chamber of Commerce. I applaud Alford for his honesty. So the man made a mistake. Well, he’s man enough to admit he made a mistake. (Hat Tip HotAir)

Folks, the economy is in a full free fall right now. If you were hoping for recovery forget about it. Things are going to get worse and won’t get better until we have a new man or woman in the White House who understands economics.

The precipitous decline of the dollar is a direct consequence of the US burgeoning National Debt. But it is not just the decline of the dollar. Obama has alienated key countries who played a critical role in the past in helping shore up the dollar’s value. China, our biggest debtor, realizes the party is over and is using many of the dollars they hold to buy foreign assets. Saudi Arabia? No longer willing to control oil production to help the US and now in full negotiations with the Russians and the Chinese to agree on an alternative currency to the dollar.

These actions together are the main fuel driving the dramatic rise in the price of oil, gold, silver and other commodities. We are becoming Argentina (and I don’t mean we’re getting better at soccer). Obama is fundamentally hostile to business, in part because he has never run a business and does not understand how gross revenue can be affected by a host of costs he is now imposing on businesses.

The anemic 3% growth the Obama team was touting in December is now barely above 1%. We should completely stall out by July. I wish I had better news for you, but it is worse than you think. Consumer economic activity, according to the Consumer Meterics Institute, has fallen below the lowest level seen during the 2008 recession. Rising prices of oil and food mean prices will surge. When prices go up the demand for those services will shrink. Shrinking demand means more layoffs. Hopefully more folks like Alford, who voted for Obama hoping that he understood what he meant to be President, will wake up and demand real change.

One justification for letting the dollar slide as the administration’s/Fed Reserve policy is to make American exports more competitive in the world. My question is, what is there for the US to export other than agricultural products? The manufacturing operations have mostly gone to Mexico and China. Even service jobs like answering customer calls are scattered all over the world. GM, Chrysler and Ford cars are still too expensive outside the U.S. because of high union labor. The people continue to be lied to by leaders. Obama, unlike Bill Clinton, understands very little of economics. He doesn’t know enough to know which advise to take. Will the people wake up in time to realize that to save themselves, they would first have to get rid of this charlatan in the white house?

  68. Those other births were not only people who had intimate knowledge at the time of that birth, but they were willing to sign a document stating so. Where are the people willing to the documents for O. A lot of people has said, but no one has made a written statement to my knowledge.

  69. EDITORIAL: Obama’s approval freefall

Note to the GOP: The 2012 presidential election is up for grabs

    The Washington Times
    April 29, 2011

“April is the cruelest month,” T.S. Eliot warned, and particularly for President Obama. The White House had been enjoying a robust run-up in the polls since the “shellacking” of Democrats in November’s midterm elections, but over the last month, Mr. Obama was back in freefall.

Six months ago, things looked bad for Mr. Obama. The Gallup daily tracking poll rated him at 43 percent approval and 49 percent disapproval. But this was the nadir of his fortunes. For the next five months, with the advent of Republican leadership in the House of Representatives and the mounting battles over the budget, the public seemed to rally to Mr. Obama. In mid-March, the Gallup survey had flipped, with 49 approving and 43 percent disapproving. Mr. Obama’s defensive strategy, letting the Republicans lead and then inflicting selective counterpunches, appeared to be working.

The worm has turned. In the last six weeks, the approval margin reversed again, and by the end of April, Mr. Obama was back to 43 percent approval and 49 percent disapproval in the daily survey, right back where he had been when he lost his supermajorities in Congress.

The reasons for Mr. Obama’s rapid decline are based in both perception and reality. Most Americans believe the economy is in serious trouble, and the anemic 1.8 percent spring gross-domestic-product figure tends to confirm that belief. The federal budget deficit continues to spiral out of control. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke’s pledge to keep “transitory inflation” under control was met with skepticism, particularly as consumers see food and gas prices rising precipitously. Government economists omit food and energy from what they like to call “core inflation,” but average Americans don’t have the luxury of omitting them from their household budgets.

Mr. Obama gave a nod to the negative impact of gas prices at a California fundraiser on April 21. “My poll numbers go up and down depending on the latest crisis,” he said, “and right now gas prices are weighing heavily on people.” At the beginning of 2011, the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline was about $3. Now the price is over $4 per gallon in 12 states, including swing states that Mr. Obama won in 2008 such as Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. Prices are highest in California at $4.22, and a USC/Los Angeles Times poll from early April showed his support there at 53 percent, down from a high of 65 percent. If California is coming into play, the election is truly up for grabs.

The Gallup weekly survey shows that support for Mr. Obama has for the most part dropped across the board since the middle of March. There were some signs of durable support from college graduates and liberal Democrats, and conservative Republican approval levels are steady – at 11 percent. Most surprising, and perhaps most alarming for the White House, are the disproportionate approval drops in key support groups. Approval from those aged 18-29 declined at twice the rate of the general population. Support in the eastern United States, an Obama bastion, dropped at a similar rate, as did support from nonwhites. Conservative Democrats and pure independents, important swing constituencies for the 2012 presidential race, also abandoned Mr. Obama at twice the national rate, and in the latter case, overall approval stands at 29 percent.

Demographic groups with historically higher voter participation rates – married people, those who attend church weekly, those aged 65 and older, and white voters – all rate Mr. Obama in the 30 percent range. This is not the stuff that re-election dreams are made of.

Donald needs to get a world class press secretary to answer some of these questions–those that involve his personal life. This strategy has two potential advantages: first, it allows him to focus on the specific problems which the public wants answers to, rather than the distractions dreamed up by the press; second, it provides a degree of insulation which any candidate needs to have in such matters–and gives him time to think about it before he responds. So far, he is doing very well, but there will come a point, probably after he declares where this biforcation is important.

  71. Mr. Obama’s defensive strategy, letting the Republicans lead and then inflicting selective counterpunches, appeared to be working.
    ———————–
This strategy would be viable for a candidate who had a bias for action, and a history of governance. But it is counterproductive in the extreme for a candidate who is none of those things, and about whom it is frequently said that he talks the talk but hides from problems. For that sort of candidate, the strategy of letting others lead, merely confirms the growing suspicion that he is not a leader, even when the future of the nation hangs in the balance.

I agree with you, I think he will have that, but also I see him as a very direct person, one who will not hide on answers, on an interview on Judge Jeanie? on Fox, he was asked what upsets him the most to fight back very hard. It was a very interesting answer, he said he has a very thick skin when it comes to things that are said that are true, he said something like “of course I’ve made mistakes, I acknowledge it and accept it, but when untrue things are said about it, I have a very thin skin about that, and I will fight back very hard.”

Of all the military, retired military people I know, they respect someone who will not bullchit them, they will appreciate it if Trump gives an honest answer like I posted above. Trump is pro-America, he may have deferred his Vietnam draft so did lots of people, i.e Cheney 5 times, but Trump I see as someone who will openly admit it, but then turn around the conversation saying, ” yes, I deferred it, but I also unequivocally respect the US military, which is more than can be said about President WTF, who degraded the personnel who served in Afghanistan, refuses to place his hand on his heart during the pledge”

and then of course, attention is brought to Waffle’s famous video of his statements about Afghanistan, and then that famous picture of everyone placing their hand on heart, hillary, judas, etc, during the pledge and there is Waffles, folded his hands. I know so many military families that loath the fool, they didnt even know about his Afhangistan video until I showed it to them on youtube, only Fox ever covered it.

Trump will put the spotlight straight on Waffles, opening up the next phase of attacks on Waffles.

  73. “I didn’t know him well, my father — and he lived a troubled life. But I know that when he was around your age, he dreamed of something more than his lot in life. He dreamed of that magical place; he dreamed of coming to study in America.”

    Admin,

I suggest that, in light of the true picture from Obama Sr’s INS file, this fantasy construct from the Liar be the subject of your next article.

  74. …everyone placing their hand on heart, hillary, judas, etc, during the pledge and there is Waffles, folded his hands. … only Fox ever covered it.

    ——————-

    That says a lot.

  75. Trump is now under continuous attack for his personal and political history. For all the noise though, Romney and Pawlenty (and Newt) have heavier baggage. Romney will have to explain his healthcare position. Pawlenty has his own political history to scrub:

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0411/53983.html

Asked in a public question-and-answer session about his past support for a cap-and-trade-like program limiting carbon emissions, Pawlenty answered: “It was a mistake, it was stupid and I’m sorry.”
    And then he kept going.

“I don’t try to defend it. Everybody’s got a couple of clunkers in their record,” Pawlenty continued, repeating: “I don’t try to defend it. It was dumb.”

To the audience in Manchester, the maneuver was obvious. Pawlenty wasn’t just offering one more recanting of his past support for an environmental policy that’s unpopular with conservatives. He also was preemptively drawing a contrast with Mitt Romney, who has declined to apologize for signing a universal health care law as governor of Massachusetts.

Pawlenty sounds an awful lot like John Edwards with his refrain on Iraq and the bankruptcy bill, “I was wrong.”

  76. In 2012 bland competence will be the new black
Posted on April 29, 2011 by JWS

Finally a mainstream-ish, though right-wing outfit (The Weekly Standard) has confirmed my take on the GOP presidential field. It’s not weak. Obama on the other hand is quite weak at this point. He remains in the low forties in the polls and – judging by responses regarding his handling of the economy he is in fact, much lower. The economy is how people vote. They may say they approve of how he’s handling the job, but vote their pocketbooks.

Democrats are falling into their semi-regular trap. Just a year ago many insisted Pelosi and Co would keep the House. Ooops.

I remember being at a birthday party a week before the 2004 general. The room was wall to wall Democrats – as one would expect in ‘Hollywood’. Kerry buttons glittered. I was a Kerry volunteer. About 12 of us were sitting in the living room when some asked who we thought would win. Remember the polls were quite close. Everyone said Kerry – then gave their reasons, all of which boiled down to the country would never re-elect such a stupid man. My turn came and I said blandly that Bush would win, thinking to myself the people in that room ought not be calling anyone else stupid. Glass houses and all that. Democrats are too often prone to wishful thinking. They presume they are smarter, then presume everyone will understand how smart they are. Ironically, both presumptions are indicative of stupidity.

They also rarely learn from their stupidity. Shrewd and not so shrewd observers saw the Democratic Waterloo of 2010 coming months in advance. Could they have escaped it? Sure. Sometimes tsunami’s veer off course and fade without damage. That doesn’t mean the tsunami didn’t exist.

Another tsunami is already building. A tsunami of demand….demand for competence. The GOP nominee will likely be bland and competent. Democrats, who often can’t force themselves to think like moderate voters, will consider this a weakness. More likely: In 2012 bland competence will be the new black. Do not underestimate the power of the person who shows up to work, has a few simple ideas, and a record of seeming to get things done. Directly inverse to 2008 – a resume will matter in 2012. Change is out. Competence is in.

The only person in the Democratic party with the resume and competence to capitalize on the coming shift has stated she is not running. The only Democrat who is running has neither. He’ll do alright and could pull it off under the right circumstances, but, provided the other team doesn’t choose a nut, and it almost certainly will not, Obama will be fighting history and himself.

  77. …everyone placing their hand on heart, hillary, judas, etc, during the pledge and there is Waffles, folded his hands. … only Fox ever covered it.

    ===============

Has anyone (except maybe Fox) ever done a poll of all registered voters as to how many think symbolic stuff like this even MATTERS?

    Or all Independents?

  78. “I was a Kerry volunteer. About 12 of us were sitting in the living room when some asked who we thought would win. Remember the polls were quite close.”

Well, I remember thinking the same thing, that Kerry would win, I campaigned a lot for him, held many fundraisers for him.

Then May 31th 2008 happened. Now, I couldn’t give a rat’s crap what the undemocratic party does now, they stole votes from a comptent public servant, Hillary, and selected an incompetent “man” with no history of doing anything except promoting himself.
The “democratic” party can rot for all I care. They threw away competence for a messaih.

I so hope Trump runs and then wins.

  79. Do not underestimate the power of the person who shows up to work, has a few simple ideas, and a record of seeming to get things done
    ——————–
Yea? Well file that one under naive bromides I used to believe in. The problem is the country does not know how to judge competence, and big media will continue to bamboozle. Furthermore, the country is seduced by images. And, there are too many members of the elite class who do not care if the country fails so long as they make a profit, and they have made a handsome profit as Obama liquidates the wealth of the middle class–record profits et al. Immelt is the poster child.

Therefore, . . . this competence and a proven track record of success are irrelevant in the current political system. There must be more. The missing ingredient is voltage. Hillary had it, Trump has it and the asshole in the White House can generate it artificially with the assistance of a teleprompter and the Ravenswood 3 generator. That is what moves a public that has a short attention span and lacks critical thinking capabilities. That is the enduring lesson of 2008.

  80. Pawlenty sounds an awful lot like John Edwards with his refrain on Iraq and the bankruptcy bill, “I was wrong.”

    Which equals weakness.

It’s one thing to be sincere and explain why you supported a policy you now realize was bad, but just giving your backside to kick, shows you just go along with what ever you think will get you ahead in the public view.

  82. I went back and listened to all three parts of Trump’s video posted by Tim up-thread.

He is like the perfect leader of the pitchfork brigade.

He has solutions of America getting paid for it’s national policing activities.

He has solutions as to how to get jobs back in America.

He doesn’t play the class war of either everyone has to give up SS and Midicare or tax the Hell out of the public to make ends meet.

    Go Donald, go!!!

  86. I just had a funny thought-

BO went to the space launch yesterday and the mission ended up scrubbed.

I wonder if NASA scrubbed the mission on purpose because he attended- remembering he made drastic cuts to their funding. (?)

  87. This is an old article from the draftHillary site linked at JohnSmart.

The site has an admin. Hmmmmmmm…..

“The insiders say both Clintons have the bitter realization that they were outmanoeuvred in the Democratic primaries by the upstart from Chicago because she was fed terrible advice by campaign aides working for the other side. Several of these individuals, the Clintons are convinced, were Obama moles.”

Solis-Doyle, Mark Penn, – I worry about Trumps’ adviser, ex-dem strategist and BO supporter
    Michael Cohen.

  88. Do you remember the word “STONEWALLING”? It was a word invented by Big Media to describe the failing efforts of the Nixon Administration withhold vital information and otherwise impede the Watergate investigation, in order to hide the truth. Big media of that day, NYT, NBC and CBC did not hesitate to call Nixon on it, and the rest as they say is history.

Flash forward to now. Obama hides everything about his past, and as we see from the latest information about his fathers, has created a myth. Obama is guilty as Nixon was of stonewalling. And yet, Big Media not only refuses to call him on it–they aid and abet him in the cover-up. What is the difference. First, these people are not jounalists. Second, they are owned by multinational corporations who profit from a shill like Obama. Third, these people do not care about our country.

  89. “I wonder if NASA scrubbed the mission on purpose because he attended- remembering he made drastic cuts to their funding.”

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing yesterday and enjoying an image of what I imagined was a scowling MO as Kate Middleton was getting the world’s attention and looking fabulous!

Kate reminds me a bit of Sarkozy’s wife and we know how much MO adored her.

    TTTT, I was LMAO!

Obama’s birth certificate came via a ‘special dispensation’ from Hawaii, he tells Oprah

President Obama flew to Chicago on Wednesday to tape an interview with Oprah Winfrey to explain the details of his now-unearthed long-form birth certificate.

Sitting next to his wife, Michelle, Obama told Winfrey that he asked a favor, in a way, from the Aloha State.

“I said to my team, look, even though this is not usually what the state of Hawaii does. Even though the Republican governor of Hawaii, the Democratic governors of Hawaii, all the various officials had confirmed that I was born here, let’s ask them for a special dispensation where they will go ahead and provide us with the original to see if we can put this to rest,” Obama told the talk-show host.

Winfrey is a longtime supporter of Obama. The media mogul endorsed the then-senator while she was a guest on Larry King’s television show in 2007. She attended the 2008 Democratic convention in Denver, appeared in key primary states throughout the campaign, hosted a fundraiser at her Montecito mansion, celebrated in Chicago’s Grant Park on….
…election night 2008 and attended the inauguration in Washington. Today’s show appearance was not a surprise. Two weeks ago it was announced that the Obamas would be guests today for one of the final episodes of the 25-year-old chat show, likely May 2.

Winfrey asked the president whether he ever doubted where he was born. Obama used the question as an opportunity to deliver a joke.

“When it first came up, were you thinking, ‘I hope I was born here?’ ” Winfrey asked.

“Can I just say I was there, so I knew,” Obama replied. “I knew I had been born. I remembered it.”

“Of course you did,” Winfrey said.

I have to admit, it brought a smile to my face when I heard those wild, crazy guys at NASA, risking life and limb going up in a space craft held together with ‘cockleburs and spit’ have an axe to grind with their CIC. And grind it they did-

  94. “I wonder if NASA scrubbed the mission on purpose because he attended- remembering he made drastic cuts to their funding.”

LOL, my wife said the same thing when she heard this. I think so, because they scrubbed it for 3 days, just enough time for Waffles and Mrs WTF to get back to DC, but they didn’t scrub it too early so the schedule could be changed, it was scrubbed when Waffles was still in the air and on route.

  95. Tim and Basil: just found this on Michael Cohen:

“I can feel a libtard meltdown coming.Donald Trump’s Political ‘Pit Bull’: Meet Michael Cohen, Not What You Might Think, Top Trump Aide Voted For Obama In 2008

The man behind Donald Trump’s possible 2012 presidential campaign is a registered Democrat who voted for Barack Obama in 2008.

Not only that, but Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization who doubles as Trump’s chief political adviser, once volunteered for 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis and worked for a Democratic member of Congress.

This election cycle is different. Late last year, Cohen co-founded the draft Trump website “Should Trump Run?” It has received more than 830,000 hits.

Cohen, 44, is known around the office — and around New York — as Trump’s “pit bull.” Some have even nicknamed him “Tom,” a reference to Tom Hagen, the consigliore to Vito Corleone in the “Godfather” movies.

“It means that if somebody does something Mr. Trump doesn’t like, I do everything in my power to resolve it to Mr. Trump’s benefit,” Cohen said in an interview with ABC News. “If you do something wrong, I’m going to come at you, grab you by the neck and I’m not going to let you go until I’m finished.”

But since Obama’s election in 2008, he said he has grown disappointed with the president, so much so that he now describes himself as “offended” by the administration’s agenda. America, Cohen said, has become a “third-world nation,” echoing words that have become a familiar refrain of Trump’s.

“I thought it was the greatest thing ever,” Cohen said he felt during the first months of the Obama presidency. “This fantastic orator was going to make a change in this country. He was going to do things that Bush clearly did not do.” His distaste for Obama, and Trump’s professed interest in pursuing the Republican nomination in 2012, led Cohen, businessman Stewart Rahr and other supporters to create “Should Trump Run?” as a way both to spark — and gauge — interest in a potential Trump presidential bid.

A lawyer by training, Cohen is Trump’s special counsel and a juggler of people and projects. One minute he’s on the phone with a reporter, the next he’s giving orders to an assistant, and a moment later he’s finalizing a deal on another line — and frequently, he’s doing all three at once.

    Donald Trump’s ‘Pit Bull’

With Trump stoking new speculation about his political ambitions every day, Cohen said “the phones have not stopped ringing, the fax machine is off the hook” and his email inbox is clogged. More than a few of those messages have to do with the issue that has catapulted Trump into the headlines recently — birtherism.

“I am certain that the president was born in Hawaii — I really am,” Cohen said. “I am most irritated with the fact that this president has been exceptionally secretive when it relates to any personal documentation about his past. If you run on a platform of transparency, you should be transparent.”

Cohen was the aide who flew to Iowa in a private plane bearing Trump’s logo to meet with Republican operatives there in March. He said he may make a similar trip to another crucial early nominating state — New Hampshire — in the weeks to come.

Roger Stone, a Republican consultant known for his controversial brand of politics, is long-time Trump associate and a cheerleader for his presidential run (albeit without Trump’s blessing). In an interview with ABC News, Stone described Cohen as a “nice guy” and an “enthusiast” but lacking the political expertise to manage the growing interest in Trump candidacy.

“If you need brain surgery, you go to a brain surgeon,” Stone said. “You don’t go to a dentist.”

A case in point, Stone said, was Cohen’s one-day Iowa trip that led to questions about his role as both a Trump Organization employee and a promoter of his boss’s potential presidential campaign — questions that he sought to answer by stating unequivocally that the trip and the website were paid for, not with any of Trump’s money, but out of pockets of Cohen and Rahr, who made a fortune in the pharmaceutical industry.

Still, the trip triggered a complaint to the Federal Election Commission by a supporter of Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who alleged that the trip violated election law.

Cohen may be new to presidential politics, but he’s not a total novice. In 2003 he briefly became a Republican to run for a New York City Council seat at the request of then-Gov. George Pataki. He lost that race to Democrat Eva Moskovitz by a wide margin. In 2009, he started a short-lived campaign for a New York State Senate seat, but dropped out of the race after a just a few weeks.

    Michael Cohen and Donald Trump

By all indications, he and Rahr have more than enough personal wealth to finance the independent effort urging Trump to run. Cohen owns several residences in Trump buildings, including a home at Trump World Tower at United Nations Plaza, and Trump Park Avenue, just blocks from Central Park. His parents and in-laws have also invested in Trump properties in New York and Florida.

“Michael Cohen has great insight into the real estate market,” Trump said of Cohen in a 2007 New York Post interview. “He has invested in my buildings because he likes to make money — and he does.”

    The feeling is mutual.

“I think the world of him,” Cohen said of the billionaire real estate and reality television mogul who has said he will decide sometime before June whether to run for president. “I respect him as a businessman, and I respect him as a boss.”

The two talk regularly — “I speak to him even more than I did before,” Cohen said — and he has spearheaded a variety of projects for Trump, including sealing a business partnership in the former Soviet republic of Georgia, running a mixed martial arts promotion company called Affliction Entertainment and a firm that turns landfills into golf courses.

Cohen, whose position allows him to play at any of Trump’s courses around the world, describes himself as a “decent” golfer and an avid tennis player. Much like Trump’s, his circle of acquaintances include political leaders, actors and “super high net worth people,” as Cohen calls them.

He only wears Dolce & Gabbana suits and Hermes ties. Even when he was a legislative intern for former Congressman Joe Moakley, a Massachusetts Democrat, Cohen says he was “always dressed to the hilt.”

“It’s very, very surreal,” Cohen told ABC News. “I’ve been admiring Donald trump since I was in high school.” (He said that when he was a young man he read Trump’s 1987 book, “The Art of The Deal” cover to cover — twice.)

Cohen grew up on Long Island. His mother was a nurse and his father was a surgeon who escaped a Nazi concentration camp with his family during World War II. He attended American University followed by law school and said he got his first taste of politics when he was a boy. A neighbor of his parents’ invited him to walk precincts with New York Mayor John Lindsay in Atlantic Beach, Queens and Brooklyn.

    Donald Trump’s ‘Pit Bull’

Like Trump, Cohen has donated money to both Democratic and Republican candidates over the years, including Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. He’s hobnobbed with Hillary Clinton and the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. Cohen said he and Kennedy even once went sailing near the Kennedy Compound in Cape Cod and later shared a lobster and clambake.

After law school, Cohen went on to work at a personal-injury malpractice law firm in New York and later became a partner at the firm Phillips Nizer. He joined the Trump Organization in 2006 at Trump’s invitation. He’s married and has two children.

Cohen said he sees no conflict in his advocacy for Trump now and his past support for Obama. He said his concerns are three-fold: the “unsustainable” debt, the country’s “ongoing and continuous” loss of jobs and the “basic overall lack of respect” that the rest of the world has for the U.S.

“I’m prepared to put the fact that I voted for Obama to the side,” he said. I’m more concerned now about my children, future grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and everybody’s children and families. I’m more concerned about them than I am about party affiliation.”

  96. This is an interview with the president of the Black Chamber of Commerce who voted for Obama in 2008, calls it the biggest mistake of his like and is now supposedly working against him in 2012. He claims that Obama’s policies are hurting black business, that he is de funding scholarship programs beneficial to blacks, and that when he talks to black audiences he can actually discuss these subjects whereas before it was a closed subject. He claims that Obama will get only 30% support in the black community, which is unrealistic. If 30% vote for the candidate who opposes him that would be the best we could hope for. Apparently, Obama has created a black business organization inside the White House to run his organization off, and he is suing for that indiscretion. If you are interested see for yourself:

  97. Winfrey asked the president whether he ever doubted where he was born. Obama used the question as an opportunity to deliver a joke.

I think he is okay. No PSD here. Better not be.

Cohen has a long history with Trump and if he trusts him, then that is good enough for me. Decisiveness is necessary to success in business. If Trump had any reservations about Cohen’s friendship and loyalty; he would have been gone long ago- Business transactions are the quickest way of learning if your “friend” is double dealing you behind your back or selling you out when a BIG deal is in play. The Donald hasn’t gotten where he is today by emotional attachments. He is a “show me the money” type guy. If you can’t; you’re gone.

  102. Mrs. Smith

BO went to the space launch yesterday and the mission ended up scrubbed.

I wonder if NASA scrubbed the mission on purpose because he attended- remembering he made drastic cuts to their funding. (?)

    ———-
    Good point Mrs. S.

Or possibly it could be the anti-Midas Touch of the golden calf? The sensors all detected a toxic smell and shut down 😉

NASA must hate his guts for dumping the space program.

  103. This (IMHO) is an even better example of what Alford is capable of. Here he is (via HA) making mincemeat of Boxer.

  104. I just pray NASA is reinstated once BO is thrown out on his scrawny butt. I swear I can’t believe the nerve of the person who destroyed the program showing up for the next-to-last scheduled launch.

It is insulting. I would hope that’s why NASA gave the big middle-finger back to the one.

    Fothermucking fool.

About Cohen – I hope everyone is right that Trump knows what he’s doing. I still don’t understand how PSD got under the Clinton radar. And Penn, even if he wasn’t hitting for the other team sure didn’t know how to run a campaign. Whatever her future goals, I hope HRC is still in contact with that wonderful assistant, Maggie ? who was always so loyal to her.

  105. “NASA must hate his guts for dumping the space program.”
    ___________________________

If there is a stronger word than “hate”- I don’t know what it would be.. But yes, I wholeheartedly agree- there is nothing worse than an irate NASA employee (on a mission)..

The one good thing I was thinking is at least Gabby got to spend the weekend with her husband until the next scheduled blast off on Monday.

(I don’t know if Gabby HAD to sit through a photo op with Mr WTF yesterday even though the launch was canceled?)

I found this quote in the news: “Major Problems”:

“Early Friday afternoon, shuttle launch control at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida canceled a planned 3:47 p.m. lift-off after engineers discovered problems associated with units that provide power to the shuttle’s hydraulic systems.

Among their many duties, the hydraulic systems drive the control surfaces on the wings and tail that are crucial to guiding the craft to a safe landing after reentry. The hydraulic systems also operate landing gear and change the positions of the main-engine nozzles during launch to steer the craft during its ascent.”

    http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/2011/0429/Kennedy-Space-Center-Space-shuttle-launch-scrubbed-until-Monday

  106. “The man behind Donald Trump’s possible 2012 presidential campaign is a registered Democrat who voted for Barack Obama in 2008.

Not only that, but Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization who doubles as Trump’s chief political adviser, once volunteered for 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis and worked for a Democratic member of Congress.”

Donald’s background works for me. Sounds like he won’t let party-leaders and partisan bullshit dictate his every move: republican or democrat.

    Great, I say!

  107. “I noticed every face in the congregation was white.”

I noticed the same thing and enjoyed it immensely. I hadn’t intended to watch but it was covered by all the stations and once I started paying attention I honeselty couldn’t tear myself away. The dignity, the grace, the class of the Brits brought a tear to my eye. My mom is from England and she went through the bombing. Never talked much about it. But I know she was in the land army as, I think, was Elizabeth. I heard stories about Elizabeth making her own wedding gown from materials bought on rations . . .

I was delighted to see England get some good press, for a change.

And just thinking how the Bamas were probably plotting to steal some of the limelight away from the Brits with the NASA jaunt and how their plans crashed and burned – and thinking it was the NASA guys who pulled it off – has me in stitches.

May more such twists of fate await them, including getting the boot from the Yanks.

  108. I saw two black men in the audience, one sitting in the row in front of the other.

What I noticed with glee was the one lone FEMALE in all of the many church staff. A nun was sitting next to William when they sat down after their vows. That church still has a long way to go, that’s for sure!

  109. Mrs. Smith
    April 30th, 2011 at 4:44 pm

So, the problem canceling the shuttle’s launch was there would have been NO WAY for the astronaughts to get back home.

NASA should have lent Mr and Mrs WTF space suits and set them up for a free ride into space… whew! Our problems would have been solved that quick. What a horrendous thought… Can you imagine BO AND MO looking out a shuttle window, looking down at our beautiful planet hearing a voice from the PR system… Well, Mr President, glad to have you aboard. Please enjoy the music while you view for all your eternity, the beautiful planet you planned to destroy. Your defunding of our program has left us helpless to get you home. Maybe we can call the Russians… or the… static.. white noise… silence…

  110. “I wholeheartedly agree- there is nothing worse than an irate NASA employee (on a mission)..”

    hehehehehe.

Bammy isn’t having such a good week, is he? Timing is way off. First he’s 20 minutes too late to stop the TRUMPET CALL heard around the world as the Donald held court in New Hampshire and regaled the idiot reporters with his spin and claimed credit for the BC release – BO’s crew were probably frantically arranging the teleprompters – and the next day BO’s upstaged again by the Brits – (who he hates) – and NASA (who he despises). I LOVE it!

Revenge is a dish best served cold. He’s getting it from all barrels. May the barrage continue.

BTW, that pic of BO with his two generals – I have seen cropped pix with just Orca’
s and MO’s gams showing and it is bizarre. He is dwarfed and emasculated in between them.

  111. I still want someone to ask BO what it was on this newly revealed BC that filled him with joy when he found it in his papers as an adult (as reportedly was written in his book)…..

  112. “Well, Mr President, glad to have you aboard. Please enjoy the music while you view for all your eternity, the beautiful planet you planned to destroy. Your defunding of our program has left us helpless to get you home. Maybe we can call the Russians… or the… static.. white noise… silence…”

    ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a visual! You are on a roll;.

  113. Latest news, 342 people killed from the tornadoes in the south. Prayers go out to all these poor people. Their entire lives destroyed. Very sad, just saw this on the news. I think I will go donate some $$ to the Salvation army, they have always been so helpful in disasters like this, and these poor people in the south will need much to get their lives together.
My heart breaks for all these families, very sad indeed.

  114. I’m not worried about Trump being duped by a past voter of Barry.

Trump has a huge network of people he works with and trusts, and this man does his homework and doesn’t put all his eggs in one basket.

Trump also doesn’t let his huge ego be led around by yes men either, if he smells a rat, he investigates until the stink is eliminated.

  115. Just wanted to mention that I have been watching the Kennedy series on our History Channel in Canada.

Yes to all of his affairs, but showed also how bitter Rose Kennedy was to Joe after he arranged for their daughter Rosemary to have a lobotomy. She is not depicted in a good light at all.

Obama, Republicans Continue Gas Prices Blame Game

    By JARED A. FAVOLE

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama and House Republicans used their weekly radio addresses to continue a blame game over surging gas prices that will heighten and shrink as fuel prices fluctuate.

President Obama continued his call for Congress to end tax subsidies for oil companies, saying rising gas prices mean “real pain for our families” but also translate into bigger profits. This week companies including Chevron Corp., ConocoPhillips and Exxon Mobil Corp. all reported surging profits partly as a result of soaring gas prices.

Rep. James Lankford, a Republican from Oklahoma who delivered the GOP’s weekly radio address, said “gasoline is at the top of the list” of concerns from people in his district. He said “prices at the pump have nearly doubled since President Obama took office, making everyday life like driving to work, buying groceries, picking up kids at school and visiting family more expensive.”

The average price for a regular gallon of gasoline is about $3.91, according to the auto club AAA, up from $2.88 a year ago.

President Obama has said oil companies don’t need tax subsidies of $4 billion a year when they are making billions in profits. “When oil companies are making huge profits and you’re struggling at the pump, and we’re scouring the federal budget for spending we can afford to do without, these tax giveaways aren’t right,” he said.

Mr. Lankford said “The president may think he’s punishing CEOs of big companies, but his plan will hurt the everyday consumer of energy and imperil the jobs of millions of hardworking people in American-based companies.”

Oil executives have said companies would likely pass costs lost from ending the subsidies onto consumers.

Two top Democrats, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California, are pushing to hold votes on ending the tax breaks this week. Chances are low that a package would pass.

The White House has seized on comments from House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio that he’d be willing to review oil-industry breaks as part of a broader effort to lower the deficit. Still, Republicans have said they want that to be considered as part of a larger revamping of the U.S. tax code, not as an individual move.

Mr. Lankford also criticized Mr. Obama for calling for a vote on the nation’s debt limit to be separate from efforts to trim the deficit.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers is expected to meet this week with Vice President Joe Biden and other administration officials to begin talks about how to lower the country’s deficit.

There is a new gas station in my town. If you had a tent in the trunk you could live there indefinitely. The only thing I can find lacking is a Church or a Chapel for Sunday services, weddings and funerals. The gas station promotes a state of the art car wash. If you purchase a car wash M-Th.. for $9 you are eligible for a 30 cent discount on the fuel price. I have enough car wash tickets for washing my car rain or shine for a month… and I don’t care- I’m not going to give the oil companies another nickel more than I have to..

  120. Jan, I didn’t see the movie. But I’ve read that their daughter was really just a high spirited female, and didn’t need a lobotomy. If so, if I were her mother (or anyone who cared for her), I’d be pretty bitter, too!

  121. I go one uppppppp

Instead of “Win the Future”, lets have “Bin the Fucker” kinda sounds the same.

  122. I can just imagine Caroline’s ex-husband, got tired of living in Caroline’s world of ‘make believe it didn’t happen’ and why he got out while his sanity was still intact.

  123. SNL’s Seth Meyers headlines White House Correspondents Dinner. (tonight)
Live from D.C., it’s Saturday night!

Seth Meyers, used to lampooning Washington politicians as head writer of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” has the unenviable task of trying to make those same leaders laugh Saturday as the featured entertainment at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner.

The New Hampshire native says he’s been warned about the challenge ahead of him, but that he thinks he’ll thread the needle just fine.

“It may be a tough room. But as someone who follows politics, I think it’s really exciting to go into a room where people are incredibly well-informed,” he told C-SPAN this week. “You can probably make jokes about the minutiae of politics that wouldn’t work on Saturday Night Live.”

Meyers’ comedy act is one highlight of the evening, second only perhaps to President Obama’s turn to make jokes at the expense of his rivals, and likely even his own administration.

At the recent Gridiron Club Dinner, one of Obama’s biggest laugh lines was when he asked the emcee to play “Born in the USA” after he had been introduced with the traditional “Hail to the Chief.” The release of his long-form birth certificate is sure to be a laugh line Saturday, especially with Donald Trump in the audience.

The black tie affair at the Washington Hilton has always been one of the highlights of the Beltway social scene, bringing together the city’s political press corps and the officials they cover. But in recent years it’s become an attraction for some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

This year, some of the celebrities expected to attend include Courtney Cox, Jon Hamm, Kate Hudson, Sean Penn, Paul Rudd and Jane Lynch.

Aside from the dinner itself, the weekend includes a number of pre- and after-parties hosted by both media companies and lobbying interests like the Motion Picture Assn. of America.

  124. Love the Donald being in the same room as the weakling petulant man-child.
He may not have a speaking slot, but he will be speaking after the event as a response, he will have the last word!

btw, is caroline kennedy divorced? I didn’t know that.

  125. lorac,

The way it showed was that she had unmanageable tantrums, a very low IQ.

Rose begged him to let her stay with them and he agreed for many years but finally had her institutionalized. She kept running away and then he finally allowed for the lobotomy.

I’m not sure how true this was.

  126. It also shows that it looks like Robert should have been president instead of John. He help make most of the decisions and protected John over and over again.

    Again just from the series.

  127. And finally, Jacqueline Kennedy is shown in a very nice light…loving her husband and especially protective of her children.

  128. I had to sneak a peak and as the mosh pit (reporters corner) ) caught people walking in all of a sudden Trump and wife (?) came from the banquet room(?) area and walked right into the fray. I couldn’t hear what he was saying but all the crews were vying for his attention. Now, it seems, the event must be about to start as the guests are headed back to the banquet room and everyone is yelling Donald! Donald! I am cracking up.

One observation (and ladies please don’t shoot me for this) but I honestly wish women going to professional events would look more friggin professional. With all the bare backs, bare arms, bare shoulders, bare necks, I swear it looks like a modern version of the Victorian era. Say what you want but for me excessive female skin has and will always equate to perceived weakness, sexism, you name it. I honestly think men have a huge advantage covered up and tailored in tux and tie.

There’s a time and place for everything but I just think aspiring pro women ultimately shoot themselves in the foot with barely tere fashion choices. It may be OK for Hollywood type shindigs but fer god’s sake . . . . Oh well. I’m sure I have few supporters. All I know is even when I WAS well-suited to wear skimpy clothes I seldom did.

  129. I apologize for my knee-jerk reaction. I now see more appropriately attired women.
I guess it’s not beginning yet. I’m tuning out. The Might Mouth’s are due to arrive at 8. I definitely don’t want to see that. A lot of black entertainment types – Gail King (Orca’s bud), a couple of Housewives of Atlanta, some gum-chewing swaggering idiots with loud voices.

    I’ve had enough.

The link upthread is a livestream in case you’re interested.

BTW, MS, please don’t apologize for repeating info! The more the merrier is my motto.

  130. Thanks Mrs. S. for the link to the dinner.

So far, just a bunch of folks entered the ‘loby’, reporters with cameras were behind a fence and YELLING for celebs to come and talk to them. CSPAN camera didn’t pick up any of these interviews, I saw Trump talking to multiple reporters for awhile but don’t know what the conversation was.

Rham was there, but although the boys with cameras kept screaming…yup, screaming for him to come over, he didn’t, that I could see.

The cameras are off those folks for now, said Barry will enter at 8 pm.

  131. I’m tickled pink that the Donald will be in the room, Waffles will make some lamea$$joke about that BC thing, the man is coward, and the Donald will have the last word, because every reporter there will be clamoring for Trump’s response.

So anything Waffles jokes about regarding the BC will be overshadowed by Donald Trump. The man is one of the most media saavy people I have seen so far.

Caroline was reported to have had an affair with someone named Sultzberg (sp)-
Either she did it in retaliation for her husband’s dereliction or it was a serious choice on her part. I haven’t followed her life that closely but last I heard, divorce was in the air-

I cked her wiki and it says they are still together… another reality that won’t go away..

here is a quote from her wiki: Apparetly, Grandma Rose was not a fan of Caroline’s.

“A year after her parents had a stillborn daughter, Kennedy was born at Cornell Medical Center in New York City, and is named after her maternal aunt, Caroline Lee Bouvier Radziwill, and her maternal great-grandmother, Caroline Ewing Bouvier. Her younger brother, John, Jr., was born three years later. A second brother, Patrick, died of a lung ailment two days after his birth on August 9, 1963. Caroline and John, Jr. lived with their parents in the Washington, D.C. neighborhood of Georgetown. On January 20, 1961, when she was three, her father was inaugurated as President of the United States and the family moved into the White House. Caroline attended kindergarten in classes organized by her mother and was often photographed riding her pony Macaroni around the White House grounds. A photo of a young Caroline with Macaroni in a news article inspired singer-songwriter Neil Diamond to write his hit song “Sweet Caroline,” a fact he revealed only when performing it for her 50th birthday in November 2007.[7]

As a small child in the White House, she was the recipient of numerous gifts from dignitaries including a puppy from Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and a Yucatán pony from Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson.[8]

Historians described Caroline’s personality as a child as “a trifle remote and a bit shy at times” yet “remarkably unspoiled.”[9] “She’s too young to realize all these luxuries”, Rose Kennedy said of her granddaughter. “She probably thinks it’s natural for children to go off in their own airplanes. But she is with her cousins, and some of them dance and swim better than she. They do not allow her to take special precedence. Little children accept things.” [10]

  133. What we as Americans are facing, and no politician will tell the truth. This was an excellent but sad, article on what we are facing as a nation.

    http://jsmineset.com/2011/04/29/u-s-economy-the-big-picture/

    part of the article:
“A mess by all accounts—and seemingly getting messier.

As we have been saying for some time, U.S. economic growth is stuck in the slow lane. Very slow lane. There are few signs of any significant lane changing ahead.

We have seen a serious slide in the American standard of living over the past three years, since the beginning of the recession. The slide can be measured in many ways. Food stamps recipients have increased by 48 percent and the cost of the program ballooned by 80 percent Medicaid recipients are up 17 percent and program costs are up 36 percent. Welfare recipients are up 18 percent, and program costs up 24 percent. That isn’t the kind of growth that’s good for any economy!

Looking ahead, we expect the standard of living decline to continue for up to another seventeen years. Our economy and society are substantially changed, but the change to date is moderate compared to the magnitude of change ahead. In 2018, the U.S. will be a much poorer country than it was in 2008.

We envision the average family spending a higher percentage of income on food and shelter. People will retire at 75 years of age…not 65. Many may not be able to retire. Many retirees will have to re-enter the work force as their savings and pensions are diminished in buying power. The streets will be filled with more poor and homeless. The dollar will continue its decline. Gold and other commodities will continue to rise in price. All of these are symptoms of a decline in the public’s standard of living. Unfortunately, we expect it to last for quite a while.”

It is from the book Goodbye Darkness, by William Manchester. The same experiences were reported to me by World War II veterans.

QE2, QE is “quantitative easing”, essentially printing money to pay off debts, so the more money, US dollars, are in circulation, the lower the value of the US dollar, things cost more, i.e. inflation, so wages are not rising, but cost of living is, so standard of living goes down for Americans.

The “2” is because they have done this now 2 times, there is talk that Bernanke may do it another time, the QE2 is supposed to end at the end of June, but the more money is printing, our standard of living keeps going down, this is sort of “hold up” the economy, but its not growing, its fake growth, it is not sustainable growth. That’s when Trump says the best way to get rid of debt is to grow the economy, that is exaclty right, yes we have to shrink govt, have it more limited, but we also need more revenues, and more revenues will only come in with a growing economy.

QE type stuff only means we are printing our own money to pay off our own bills, the Chinease are squacking because when more money is printed, the 3 Trillion they own of us is lesser in value, because they will get paid back with less valued money. And if the Chinease really get pissed and complety stop buying US treasuries, the only buyer will be the Federal Reserve (the QE stuff) and then we are really in trouble, that is what that article is sort of alluding to.

That is what happended to the pound sterling in the UK, in the early 1900s, the US dollar was not the reserve currency, the UK pound was, but then they had way too many debts, etc, then America and the UK were the 2 main powers, then UK started declining, the US dollar became the reserve currency. Once the world says enough, that is when the severe austerity measures will come. We still have time to control spending, shrink govt and grow the economy to bring in more revenue, but that means pain, but pain on our terms and not imposed on us like what happended with Greece.

Hope this makes sense. That is what that article is trying to explain.

Donald Trump showed up at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner – and like other attendees at the annual “nerd prom,” had to wait in line to enter the cavernous ballroom at the Washington Hilton. But that gave Washington Wire time to chat with the real estate mogul, reality TV star and possible 2012 GOP presidential candidate.

Mr. Trump and his wife, Melania, were invited by Lally Weymouth, mother of Washington Post publisher Katharine Weymouth and sister of Washington Post Co. CEO Don Graham. Fresh from a trip to Las Vegas where he hammered away at allies and enemies, Mr. Trump said that if he could talk to President Barack Obama, he’d tell him, “He’s gotta get tough with all the nations that are ripping off the U.S.,” such as China.

Great political dig by Donald. It calls to mind a famous line by Milton Freidman: “Does a cat bark?”

Mrs. Smith, I reckon Tellie would know the answer to that one. But I doubt very much that Maher does. His ignorance knows no bounds, and is exceeded only by his arrogance–and boorish persona.

    **********************
I have to say Amen to this. Women all over daytme tv with boobs showing and dresses cut up to the thighs. The photo posted upthread has Mo in the same revealing attire with the 4″ heels. Not the least bit empowering but they think so. I cannot see Mo’s dress at the table because of the flowers, but this is a nightime affair, so showing some skin is more acceptable.

    ———————–
So that is the connection. . . Some conservative were spouting this nonsense that Weymouth was a breath of fresh air, and was moving to make WashPo more fair and balanced. Not possible–it is too incestuous. And then they have that ridiculous hard left subsidiary Politico. If you ask me this is a case of Les Fleurs du mal (Flowers of Evil)–Baudelaire.

Don’t you think it is all just a Fellini movie, to break the boredom of life? Oh that is right we have Obama, with all his “boobery” to do that. I withdraw the question.

  153. Weymouth hired little Ezra so how in the hell could she be cleaning up anything. There is a consensus among lawyers and other professionals outside the beltway that little Ezra is an idiot. The problem is some people take his idiocy seriously. If he sticks close to EJ Dionne then the prognosis is even worse.

  154. Okay, I take back my remark about it being a nightime occasion so more skin is acceptable – I just saw a woman from behind who appeared to have a bikini top on with a sarong skirt.

  155. I saw a woman, that had on a white short skirt/dress that looked like a huge diaper.

    A real WTF outfit.

I’m sure the Donald will get plenty of face time if Obama references him with a few jabs in his dialog. I don’t know how it happened but when I went to Tellie’s breeder the other day for my usual dog food pickup- strangely enough, there was a mixup. I had to feed him dog food made expecially for ‘Bull Dogs’… Could it be possible it deepened his bark? TG- he isn’t getting bow-legged and drooling… yet!

  157. I don’t think Trump was scheduled to be be there, was he?

There will be jabs about the BC, the thing is when Waffles makes those jabs, Trump at the end of the event will be asked what his response is, and no doubt will have a witty but a in-you-face response. He will end up overshadowind the Waffles man.

    What breed is Tellie?
    ____________________

BCL, Tellie is a personality plus 100 lb Golden Retriever. Looks more like Narnia..

His name should be Murphy- If there is a puddle within a 100′ of where he is standing he will find it and track it into the house. Just had the hardwoods done downstairs and carpets steamed up stairs. We’ll see how long it lasts.. 🙂

  160. Is Waffles already going after Trump(sorry not near a TV right now, and even if I was I wouldn’t be watching that skinny petulant man-child)? Are they really that stupid to go after Trump right there?

  161. Bama’s monologue was dull and boring- He never should have tried using his position to lambast Trump. The dialog was petty and foolish.. he needs better writers if he has intentions of coming across as a great witt. Epic Fail!

  162. were the majority of people in that Obot arena laughing when waffles went after Trump?
If Waffles really is stupid enough to go after Trump, he will see Trump on fire in the coming weeks, maybe in 2008/2009 Barry Soetero could have gotten away with making fun of people, it doesn’t work anymore.

People are already pissed at Soetero now. I can imagine Trump having so much fire now to lambast that petulant man-child, heck his main man is a former Obot bundler.

  163. “He has invested in my buildings because he likes to make money — and he does.”

    ===================

Heh. Sounds like a line out of ATLAS SHRUGGED.

  164. I wonder if Waffles understands that this correspondent dinner is not some event that a kim-jung-il like personality can use to go after his enemies.
It is one where the president makes fun of himself mainly.
I remember Bush made so much fun of himself, how he pronounced “nuclear” etc

Sounds like Waffles exhibited his dictator like personality to go after his “enemies” as he would call it. Yea, that will raise his lowering profiles with independents.

  165. Trump is bearing up very well. Obama is wallowing in his burn down Trump moment via Seth Myers… Although, Myers did zing Obama pouring the Kool-Aid for the Hardball crew.

  166. Trump says the best way to get rid of debt is to grow the economy, that is exaclty right, [we] need more revenues, and more revenues will only come in with a growing economy.

    =====================

Hillary said something like that a couple of years ago, talking about SS.

  167. If they are going after Trump, I don’t Waffles realises that Trump is pretty well liked, especially by many of Obot’s bundlers, and no one like a president openly going after his enemies out in the open when the “enemy” cannot defend himself.

My 2 cents, this is going to backfire on waffles.

  168. Trump was not laughing.
    ————————-
Obama will soon find that Trump is his worst nightmare. Hang around sugar cause you aint seen nothing yet.

Like you, I had heard the story about the San Francisco fundraiser for Obama, where the hecklers paid $5 k each, and bitch slapped Obama. Not surprisingly, he did not like it. Surprisingly, however he turned to Pelosi and is reported to have said–did you set this thing up–the implication being that she had sought to embarrass him. That set off a little donny brook between those two whores, for all to see. This episode, if true, corroborates the prior report that as between Poosie and Bambi there is trouble in paradise. Or as that scholar and philosopher Marilyn Monroe was heard to say, when love goes wrong nothing goes right. Let the bots laugh at that one too–oh that is right they were not fat cats so they were not invited. They just do the grunt work and think that makes them important. They miss the blatant hints from Obama which show that in his book, they are nothing but a bunch of nobodies.

floating around that when the hecklers who paid 5k each to get into that fundariser

  172. “preparing a statement?”

I think this is more likely, the man likes a fight, and he doesn’t seem to back down, if his wife is still at the table, he’s left to get his statement ready for a knock out statement, and it will be ready as soon as this shindig is over and he is asked for a statement.

    Can’t wait! 🙂

  173. Wow, that was more like an Obot roast of Trump.

  177. No, Tim- he stayed till the bitter end. I didn’t see people leaving untl Myers said adieu..

Tonight is SNL- Myers is heading for the studio. I wonder if he will continue ragging on Trump or turn on Baby Bama?

Obama wasn’t too happy with Damon- He fired a bullet at his latest movie opening just yesterday… Matty- see… your donation bought you nothing- Your telling Obama you are disappointed in his performace… You did make us proud, if this is true-

  179. Did BO make fun of himself about the birth certificate or was he making fun of those who questioned him about it?

It seemed that mainly BO saved the tough stuff NOT FOR HIMSELF but for Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

  180. I haven’t found anything from Trump yet, but these are comments over at Hotair:

Wouldn’t that be funny if Trump bought Saturday Night Live?

So the jokes about Obama consist of his graying hair? That’s it?!? Lameness reaches new levels. Aaaand on cue, a shot of Gingrich and his 3rd (?) wife.

    Trump was hammered

  181. “Obama wasn’t too happy with Damon- He fired a bullet at his latest movie opening just yesterday”

I don’t understand, you’re telling me President WTF insulted little Matty’s movie opening, this is what the President WTF does now? insults works of supporters who dare question him?

And when the hell did a correspondent dinner become a stage for an a$$hole president to make fun of his opponents/”enemies” as he calls them, I remember Bush always used it to make of himself, Clinton as well, they always used it to make fun of themselves, not to use this event to go after their “enemies”.

What a pathetic loser of a “man” this fraud is!

  182. When you are the guest of honor at a big social event it is boorish, abusive and de classe to use the podium as a platform to attach adversaries–when they have no access to the podium to respond. It is the hallmark of a “scumbag”–like Obama.

I can’t do it justice, it was insulting and not funny.

  184. If this does not lose millions more supporters of Waffles, I don’t know what will, repubs better damn well realise, this is not a jimmy carter type democrat they are dealing with, this is an incompetent arrogant incompetent thin-skinned a$$hole who cannot stand anyone making fun of him, he is a petulant boy, or man-child as Rush calls him.

Yes, that was the worst part of it, they roasted Trump and he couldn’t respond in kind.

  186. Trump was hammered
    ————-
That is a bad thing to do to him, in front of his wife.

But this was clearly the reason he was invited.

The Washington establishment is ripe for the guillotine.

  187. ooops, sorry for the typos.

How bad Trump’s hair was…….something about it being an animal on his head…

  188. Obama has a very thin skin and almost pathologicl response to any crticism. When you compare how the media treated Bill, Hillary, Bush, etc, he has really gotten a free ride. Obama has been given everything without question his entire adult life, and seems genuinely stunned when anyone challenges his bona fides.

  189. “The Washington establishment is ripe for the guillotine.”

That is a perfect description of this, its like the DC empire going after anyone who touches their golden boy. They even made fun of his hair? So, this is how DC media elitists now work, do they? This is how they think of anyone who threatens them.

So this was essentially a Trump roast, I have faith in this man, I know he will hit back, and he will hit back hard. This is not Sarah Palin, this is a self made billionaire, and he has billionaire friends, probably many who donated to this petulant man-child, when they insulted Trump like this, they insulted them, which means they have now realised, if they speak out against Waffles, they will be tarred and feathered, and that’s one thing self made very successful people in this country will not stand for, being bullied, especially by some incompetent punk.

I stand by humble opinion, this will backfire on Waffles.

  190. Did you get the feeling that if the goof ball from SNL had said anything anywhere near as rough as he did about Donald Trump, that a big part of the media in attendance would have jumped up and gotten pillows for BO?

And who is the silly Republican, Nicole Nicapoor?? who was on Fox as a talking head critiquing the event. She said nasty things about Trump as well but thought it was a great funny night and that BO had nail it as well as her fellow talking heads.

  191. Wouldn’t that be funny if Trump bought Saturday Night Live?

    ====================

Or ran a competiting show. That would be funny. Like Jon Stewart for the other side, or for the middle.

  192. Barry from his loving NYTs:

“Donald Trump is here tonight,” the comedian in chief said, grinning. “Now, I know that he’s taken some flak lately, but no one is prouder to put this birth certificate to rest than The Donald. Now he can get to focusing on the issues that matter. Like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened at Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”

It was almost painful to watch, the juxtaposition of the president, flexing his new post-birther comedy chops, and the real estate mogul come politician, grimacing at his table as Mr. Obama basked in his post long-form-birth-certificate glow.

“All kidding aside, we all know about your credentials and experience,” Mr. Obama said, as people in the room either chortled or grimaced nervously, all depending on their proximity to Mr. Trump.

In “Celebrity Apprentice,” Mr. Obama told Mr. Trump, teeth flashing, “the men’s cooking team did not impress the judges from Omaha steaks, but you recognized that this was a lack of leadership, so you fired Gary Busey.”

“These,” Mr. Obama said, “are the kinds of decisions that would keep me up at night. Well-handled, sir. Well-handled.”

The birther issue gave Mr. Obama lots of fodder for the evening, including a video of his birth, which he mentioned before cutting to a slip from The Lion King

The Brits did the right thing disinviting the slum president and his wife to the wedding.

  197. I heard that earlier today as well, that they were DISinvited. So they were actually invited, and then the invitations were rescinded? What’s that about?

  198. I never watch awards shows or this kind of show, but I HAVE gotten the impression over the years that these particular types of dinners are supposed to be roasts of the guest (the president). If so, I think this will play out as very vindictive and poor taste when it hits the mainstream people, as I believe wbboei said.

  199. Looks like Trump had a last minute invite, now we know why. He’s a quick learner, I’m sure he’s already figured this out. Wonder what all friends of Trump who donated to this a$$hole now think of the man child, people like Mort Zukerman, Steve Wynn, etc.

Trump is a very successful business, built his company over several decades, I wonder what these people like Zuckerman and Wynn who supported that fool think of the petulant man-child now that’s insulting self made billionaire businessmen?

Waffles is a very short term thinker, using “thinker” very loosely, he got his comedienne to insult Trump infront of front, but how many people were turned off by this? even if you don’t like Trump, they don’t like people bullying other people when they cannot defend themselves.
I wonder if Waffles even realises that this is going to backfire on him, donations, fundraiser, etc. No one like a petulant little arrogant punk, especially a rude scumbag, as others have noted.

  200. lorac
    April 30th, 2011 at 11:28 pm

no, lorac- I’m usung the wrong term for emphasis on how the Royals publically announced first off the Obamas would not be attending the wedding before any invitations were even sent out…

  201. If there was any lingering doubt in Donald’s mind on whether to throw his hat in the ring, I think this orchestrated cluster fuck tonight removed all doubt. These are the same blood suckers who are destroying the middle class. They are fat dumb and happy. Ripe for the plucking. And the Republicans are fools if they take heart in this, much less support it as that airhead did, because their election prospects rest on Donald bowing out gracefully if they do not nominate him. With the economic picture worsening by the day, the establishment is playing with fire. If they think there is a soft landing in all this for them, then they are sadly mistaken.

  202. Tim: Waffles is a very short term thinker

I think you’re very right about this. And he’s a reactive person – at least when his ego is injured. He obviously doesn’t form committees to see how to respond in THIS type of situation!

  203. The Brits did the right thing disinviting the slum president and his wife to the wedding.
    —————————–
Absolutely. They know how to deliver an insult in grand style. If they were not invited, then Obama apologists would be quick to say what an oversight. But when they invite those two grifters, and then disinvite them, there is no question that this was an intentional act. Put differently, that is firing for effect. To invite a fraud like him would be an embarrassment. He or his wife would say the wrong thing at the wrong time and that would be the headline. Do they still assuage insults with pistols in England, or is that another quaint custom which has perished through desuetude. If so, more is the pity.

  204. This reminds of the stories where people who weren’t long term thinker ate their seedlings instead of saving them and planting them.

When Trump was invited just to be insulted with no way to defend himself, people outside the bubble of DC will see this as mean and very vindictive. And all those millionare and billionaire Obot bundlers, well if they wer fooled to think they wee dealing with an adult, tonights episode should make it clear to them just want a petulant child they are dealing with.

Waffles might have gotten some good shots and arrows against Trump tonight, but he lost long term because of what that has now been exposed. Trump is not some no name person, he has friends on both sides of aisle.

  205. wbb

I fear that the Donald is getting some of the same Hillary treatment, both parties standing united against him because he can’t be bought, like our Hillary couldn’t.

  206. …and I bet Trump is getting a new awakening as to what really happened to Hillary in 2008, if he doesn’t already know.

And he isn’t even a woman.

  207. Who invited Trump – was it an Obama supporter? And if so, I wonder if Obama knew he would be there?

I would think that Trump would be able to imagine that this COULD happen. Trump will get even – he doesn’t have to have someone make up jokes to do it – he will use facts – which BO’s job performance have provided….

  208. Is it just me, or does it feel after tonight’s disgusting display, its almost like we are waiting in the calm before the storm. Something has changed, and the momentum is just building, and tonight’s display only accelerated that “calm before the storm”.

lorac – I have read the same thing, the Waffles were invited and then disinvited, which makes sense why Waffles’s wife was harping on and on about how she really would like to go to the wedding. looks like they weren’t overlooked, they were explicitly disinvited. Ipods really aren’t great wedding gifts.

  209. Most of the reviews are praising O and Meyers and attempting to make Trump look like a grump. As the campaign nears, this was a tune up for MSM to begin savaging anyone who dares to challenge their beloved Prez.
    —————————-
Well . . . . this is why I say the American People have only one sworn enemy. It is not China, Russia, North Korea, or even our Arab friends. It is not even Obama. It is big media–for this reason. They are the ones who poisoned the public mind and installed him. He does their bidding, theirs and the multinationals who control them. He is nothing more than a puppet. If Obama did not exist they would have to invent some other faux president to liquidate the middle class. But as I say, they are playing with fire-and they do not seem to know it. It is a remarkable oversight on their part.

I think it is perfectly fine for Trump to react in that matter. I would not call it grumpy however. I would call it disgusted with a group of people who have no grasp of the seriousness of our situation, or worse are complicit in it–people who think it is funny. The press wants to portray this as a pissing contest. They flatter themselves if they think they can Palinize Donald. Donald can be vindictive against people who level gratuituous insults. I have a strong hunch that these petty fools will pay a price when the time comes. He is no quitter. Finally, take a good fucking look at the people in that audience. If you want to know why the United States is in decline, you need look no further. No patriots in that room, other than Donald and his wife. Just a bunch of con men and opportunists.

  210. Of all the over the top hats we saw at the wedding, can you imagine what ME-chelle would have worn to stand out probably with one of those size 4 toddler sweaters? We should be thanking the Queen for doing America such a wonder favor.

  211. I think the thing that will bother Trump about this–and spur him forward is this was a media connived set up, orchestrated by the Graham family of WashPo. These people are Hillary haters as well. But most of all, these people are elitists and they hate the American People.

  212. LOL, I can just see Trump as one of this first shots will be accusing the Washington Compost of doing the Waffles’s bidding by inviting him to “lure” him there. The newspaper will have to respond to this accusation and it will only go from there.

My 2 cents, the media was complicit in this take down, they invited him as asked by Waffles just so then they could insult Trump, without him having the chance to respond back.

  213. Is it just me, or does it feel after tonight’s disgusting display, its almost like we are waiting in the calm before the storm. Something has changed, and the momentum is just building, and tonight’s display only accelerated that “calm before the storm”.
    ——————————–
I believe you are right. I also believe that the people who seek to destroy Trump are late to the game. This bad behavior by the elites, merely reinforces the notion that they are arrogant and anti American in the eyes of the American People. For this tactic to have worked they would have to have done it earlier, before support for him grew to what it is now. Now however any insult to Trump is also an insult to his supporters just as we saw with Hillary. They create deep grudges that burn rather than evaporate over time. As far as Donald himself is concerned it was also a mistake by big media, because it is too early to do political damage.

Is it just me, or does it feel after tonight’s disgusting display, its almost like we are waiting in the calm before the storm.

I think tonight Barry upped the anti. By going after Trump, in a way that he couldn’t openly respond, he was also saying to the media, “This guy is a joke, and all attacks against him are okay with me.”

This is also a good test for Trump, two gigantic egos, will Trump attack hard and with class, becoming of a future President?

  215. Some comments by Larry Johnson at NO QUARTER about jokes at the dinner.

    ********************************************************************
Obama, in his earlier presentation, was equally lackluster. Worked the Birth Certificate issue like a fourteen year old boy masturbating with a Hustler magazine. The adoring fans of Obama loved it, but when this stuff gets out into mainstream America? Not so much.

Barack could have realized this thing two years ago and quieted the controversy. But, for whatever reason, sat on it and pretended it didn’t matter. It didn’t until Donald Trump started hammering on the issue. What the Correspondents Dinner showed tonight, apart from the reality of political incest that passes for entertainment in Washington, is that Obama is in a reactive mode all the way. He’s in trouble politically.

  216. Obama, in his earlier presentation, was equally lackluster. Worked the Birth Certificate issue like a fourteen year old boy masturbating with a Hustler magazine. The adoring fans of Obama loved it, but when this stuff gets out into mainstream America? Not so much.
    ————————
There is a wonderful scene in the David Lean film Dr. Zhivago, where the elites are indulging their passion for wine, women and song in an expensive Moscow restaurant befitting their status, until they hear the growing sound of Russian peasants marching in the street below for an end to their oppresson, and suddenly a strange hush falls over the room. Whereupon, Viktor Komarovsky asks facetiously whether those peasants will sing in tune after the revolution. The elites laugh, quickly recover and go back to their reverie, oblivious to the gathering storm which will impinge upon their little heaven.

Nunc pro tunc. Then as now.

  217. The perfect rebuttal for Trump to Obama. You are a shadow boxer. Wait until we step in the ring in the presidential debates. Then we will see who the real king is, Obama.

  218. I just got done watching the royal wedding video, and for those who “did not see any black faces”, that’s not true. Yes, white faces predominated by a large margin, but there were minority faces to be seen. I remember at one point thinking that there were more minority faces than I had expected. There was one particular shot in the ceremony in which I saw about one dozen black faces just in one smaller area close to the front of those in attendance. I assume that the minority guests were located throughout the throng. Watch the video again, and you will see what I saw. It just wasn’t two little boy in the choir.

  219. Found at Crawdad, credited to Ace’s:

Obama’s greatest victory of the entire past year — his crowning achievement for the past twelve months in the most powerful office in all the world — is his celebrated triumph in successfully producing a common form of secondary identification.

As of right now, that’s what he’s running on: That he, like 88% of all non-incarcerated adults in America, has access to his own personal records.

This is what he’s doing victory laps on right now. That’s what Chris Matthews is praising him to the heavens for. He’s grinning like King Shit of Fuck Mountain, and bathing in rapturous applause, because he accomplished something considerably less difficult than opening a Netflix account.

Pardon the word — are we not treating the President of the United States like a retard? Are we not, perhaps, condescending to him in indulging him like this?

This is his big initiative for the month? He showed a piece of identification?

Years from now, looking back at the “good times,” he’ll turn to a former adviser and say, “Remember — remember when I produced the shit out of that birth certificate? Like a Warrior-Poet I made a routine request of a petty bureaucrat for a mundane copy of a run of the mill record. Days of wine and roses that was, days of… Glory.”

And his former advisor, who I imagine in chainmail and a Scottish accent, will say, “Aye, fine days indeed, fine days indeed. How the very Heavens shook at our mighty filings and furious paperwork.”

    That’s what he’s got. That’s what he’s managed for 2010-2011.

Six months from now, I hear he’s going to announce a “major initiative” to subscribe to Sports Illustrated, and then a “five year plan” to buy a “nice pair of trousers.”

Yes, Turndown, there were dignitaries invited from every commonwealth country. There were heads of state from all over hte commonwealth countries. They were at the Mass and from what I understand there were functions put on for heads of state by the various factions of the British hierarchy. I saw some in the lineup at the palace. They attended the function at the palace for maybe a thousand people where they had wine and canopes (and met the new royal couple) and then in the evening at 6:00 p.m. the close friends, etc., (about 600 people) of the Royal Family had their celebration with their friends. Then for William and Kate’s friends there was an after party put on by Harry. These dignitaries from commonwealth countries who were at the early afternoon reception were to have dinner at the official place that looks after embassies and such (I forget the official name). There were also many coloured people interspersed in the crowds.

Sarah Palin turns heads at Tammy Haddad’s brunch
Make no mistake about it: The big star at Tammy Haddad’s eighteenth annual garden brunch was not, say, Chace Crawford, Morgan Fairchild or Shaun White. The biggest head-turner was Sarah Palin, who attended the party with Fox News’ s Greta Van Susteren. Palin was also accompanied by her husband, Todd, and daughter Bristol. We had to ask: Why was the former Alaska governor, who has knocked the Georgetown cocktail party crowd in the past, at the brunch? “The nice thing about this is we’re doing this for a cause, for special needs, which, of course, is near and dear to my heart,” Palin told POLITICO. “A nice social event combined with helping to raise awareness and funds for special needs. We’re honored to be here.” And is Palin looking forward to bumping into Donald Trump, another of the weekend’s most-buzzed-about guests, at some point? “He’s our buddy! We appreciate and respect Donald Trump,” she said. Once inside, guests of all stripes angled to get a picture with Palin, including astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
The hubbub was enough to cause one reporter to quip: “Look at all these reporters who typically rip her a new one mosey on up to her, desperate to get a photograph.”

What I said in a prior post was true- I didn’t watch the royal video, nomobama. I watched it LIVE on msnbc and NBC respectively. And as I said in a prior post. As soon as I hadn’t seen anyone of color, the camera panned a young black choir boy, singing his heart out, as the couple were standing in front of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Did my post mean there weren’t any AA’s or people of color there at all. Of course not- all It means is what I said-

  224. Norma Desmond:

The comment section in your link is worth a read. By no means did Obama’s ambush of Trump score any points with the viewing public. They are tired of rising gas prices affecting their ability to buy enough food to put on the table for their families. And with gas prices predicted going to $7-$8 dollars a gallon, there was very little room left for laughs outside the beltway at Obama’s INSECURITY SHOW mocking Trump. Trump, a man vocally concerned with the direction the country is being taken by a president displaced and out of touch with the majority of people who more and more regret electing him as president.

I hope Trump issues Obama a challenge, meeting one on one for a special one hour televised event after his Apprentice series ends.

Thanks for posting a Sarah Palin update- later on, when and if she teams up with Trump, together they will be a big draw for the crowds disgusted by Obama’s pitiful performance as a puppet for the poorest Super Power in the Free World.

  226. Our local newspaper reported that Seinfeld pulled out of an appearance at an upcoming benefit for St. Judes hosted by the Eric Trump Foundation because of the birther crusade by Donald Trump. Seinfeld said he ” feels this kind of demagoguery has no place in public discourse.”

How do they get away with this s___?

If Trump doesn’t come out now and embarass them and come out on top….he is done. They will have successfully fried him.
I personally think he should take the obscenities out but keep everything else in.
Better to take the high road. I don’t like hearing that language in public speaking and I think it will hurt more than help. I really want to see DOnald take the R nomination at this point. If he is running, I will change my registration to R.

My hatred of the democrats is growing and I don’t see a awy back for me at this point. Locally an independence party has formed. THis year they are running their own very popular citizen candidates. I think both the Rs and the Ds are going to be snubbed by the voters who are disgusted with their insular, tired choices.
Perhaps the CLinton are waiting for this group to self destruct and then they will try to revamp the party.

  227. So glad I did NOT watch the trump roast.

Here’s a sample from the gleeful NYP.

I can’t WAIT for Trump to respond.

Obama launched into a biting send-up of Trump’s role as a reality-TV host.

“For example, on a recent episode of “Celebrity Apprentice,” at the steakhouse, the men’s cooking team did not impress the men from Omaha Steaks.

“And there was lots of blame to go around. But you, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership.

“And so ultimately, you didn’t blame [rapper] Lil Jon or [singer] Meatloaf, you fired [actor and walking punch-line] Gary Busey.

“These are the kinds of decisions that keep me up at night. Well handled, sir! Well handled,” Obama joked.

Trump could be seen chuckling along as the rest of the crowd exploded into laughter and cheers.

“Saturday Night Live” head writer and “Weekend Update” anchor Seth Meyers was the host for the evening and also took shots at Trump.

“Donald Trump often talks about running as a Republican, which is surprising,” said the comedian.

“I just assumed he was running as a joke,” Meyers said as Trump shot an icy glare in response.

“Donald Trump says he has a great relationship with the blacks,” Meyers continued.

“Unless the blacks are a family of white people, I bet he’s mistaken.”

Meyers also wasn’t afraid to make fun of the commander-in-chief, sitting just a few feet to his right.

He was handicapping the 2012 election and warned Obama, “I’ll tell you who could definitely beat you, Mr. President: 2008 Barack Obama.

“You would have loved him,” Meyers said, joking about some liberals’ frustration with the president’s policies.

  228. The WH Correspondents dinner is supposed to be about the president and the media. It was about Trump. Not Obama. Trump has completely thrown him for a loop. Trump is all he can talk about. Trump is all he is working on. We may be seeing an obsession taking hold of the CIC. Trump is pushing his buttons, getting under his skin, and taking over his conscience thoughts. The more time he spends on Trump the less time he spends on the nations problems and the less presidential he looks. The more the media attacks Trump and panders to Obama the more craven and invested they look in keeping his carcass afloat. The media is obviously becoming an ugly joke like the flunkies and ass kissers of a floundering bully. I still think Trump is a stalking horse going in to drive Obama’s poll numbers so low he gives up and moves to the Caribbean to hide his cash. The polling will show in the next few days if his attacks on Trump worked or if it is too late for him to recover politically.

Regarding the dissing of Trump, Axelrod has got to have called for Trump to be destroyed. I felt this way yesterday when I noticed this at Rasmussen [barf bag may be needed]:
…Though some have faulted the president for letting the huckster Trump outmaneuver him, I think the White House has used the situation to its advantage. As the budget wars heat up, Obama has reminded the country how reckless, rabid and resistant to fact some of his critics are. The whole trick to winning elections is getting the voters to hate the other side more. This round goes to the kid from Honolulu.

BREAKING: Facing Trump Backlash, Groupon Announces It Will Stop Sponsoring The Apprentice

Potential GOP candidate Donald Trump has been peddling false and malicious attacks on President Obama. He gains much of his prominence from his prime-time NBC show The Apprentice.

This morning at 9:30 am on Twitter, ThinkProgress urged concerned citizens to ask Groupon to stop sponsoring the show.

Moments ago, a Groupon representative announced that, in the future, they will block their advertisements from appearing on The Apprentice website.

  231. “Groupon Announces It Will Stop Sponsoring The Apprentice”

As a vendor who uses Groupon myself to advertise, I will now be cancelling my account with then, its a pretty pathetic idea to begin it, we just wanted to try it out, never made any gains in a customers, I’ve asked around, no one I know has had much of an effect either.

  232. I thought about it further overnight and came to this conclusion:

    1. Obama made a mistake in using this gathering as a forum in which to attack Trump. It may play well with that elite audience, but it plays hell with the American People.

    2. This attack from the podium against a man who at that moment did not have a podium before a crowd of Obama supporters is typical of his cowardly nature. In Western parlance Obama is a back shooter. He is afraid to face Trump mano a mano.

    3. This attack is also symptomatic of Obama’s sociopathic nature: http://www.mcafee.cc/Bin/sb.html

    4. I hope this incident is a lesson to Trump, to avoid these traps in the future. He has taken on not just Obama, but the entire corrupt Washington DC establishment, and they WILL conspire to take down anyone who supports the American People. A last minute invitation issued by the Washington Post family to a gathering of WashPo supporters where Obama has the podium, should smell like a trap.

  233. “This round goes to the kid from Honolulu.”
    _________________________

Maybe so- But the next round hasn’t even begun to be covered by news agencies.

According to the Constitutional requirement for a candidate applying for the US presidency as we know it, is Natural Born citizenship. With both parents being American citizens. Obama disqualified himself by revealing his father was a British subject in the LFBC and further, Obama would be viewed as a dual citizen of the UK and the US. That, and the fact his adopted father (step-father) and mother may have renounced his dual citizenship taking on the citizenship of Indonesia. Right now we really aren’t sure how those events have resolved themselves in regards to Obama’s claim to NBC status.

Perhaps, Jerome Corsi’s book will shed some light on the confusion.

I imagine, these facts will be brought to light as the next big thing carried by the news agencies who sadly never did their home work airing these anomalies present in Obama’s NBC claim before he was elected in 08′.

So the kid from Honolulu, may be just that- not a qualified aspirant who has been mistakenly elected to a post he never qualified for in the first place.

  234. I like Trump for all the right reasons, but he is like an untreated Bipolar person in the manic phase. Cursing repeadedly will turn people off. We want to feel safe with our leader, not like he will go off. It makes him seem unhinged and that does not bode well IMHO.

No, you didn’t miss it, I just avoid mentioning it mainly after seeing what was done in 2008, don’t want to disclose with all the Obot trolls lurking around. The only thing I’ll mention, its actually a 2 part business, some of it is building things, the other is distribution of those items, its a very small business. Just a very small clog in the whole scheme of the American economy.

(the groupon thing is actually for a friend I was helping out with, they own a restaurant, groupon is like a coupon type thing to get customers (not just food, but barbers, etc), I don’t think its that’s effective and if they (groupon) are going to be bullied by Obots, then I plan on convincing every small business I know to drop them, especially if its not that effecitive in growing the customer base)

  238. I hope this incident is a lesson to Trump, to avoid these traps in the future. I think, the attacks on Trump would have been bolder had Trump not been there. He did the right thing facing off with Obama. Trump was forced to sit silent as a prisoner would lashed to a post with a handkerchief stuffed in his mouth subjected to verbal assaults with no way to respond. Very much in keeping with how the Clintons have been treated in the past.

Americans can identify with Trump- they feel helpless lashed to Obama. Their Congressional voice, the people they elected to speak for them, remain silent under the tyranny of a rouge, threatening president doing nothing but enriching the Bankers and Corporations while American citizens languish hopeless in a once wealthy country deteriorating under a misguided administration.

Last night’s roast may have played well in the Beltway, but it is not playing well in Peoria where voters witnessed a little man hired a comic to do his dirty work for him. The next morning they realized in the cold light of day, we deserve better in our presidents than the lowering of the bar exhibited last night by a man hanging on by a thread more than likely unqualified not only for the US presidency but as a stand up for comic relief.

BTW- at the beginning of Obama’s tour de force animation of the anointed child destined for the presidency- Since when are Zebras native to Hawaii?

Yes, I agree with you, the groupon thing was actually something I was paying for some friends who own a restaurant, they are really struggling, and they had helped me out when I was starting out, so I wanted to help them out now as much as I could.
Groupon I dont see as that effective, anyways, will be cancelling my account with them, bunch of cowards.

  241. David Gregory just asked Rubio on Meet the Press if Donald Trump is a serious candidate. Rubio said, you guys give him alot of attention, so yes he is a serious candidate and I knew you would ask me that. Good for Rubio and why would they ask him. This piling on is bizarre.

Obama’s routine at the dinner was bad both in content and in tone. His delivery was monosyllabic and boorish. A classy person would drop the bc thing now that he thinks he has won, but O cannot let it drop.

  242. I turned to Fox after the dinner to watch the recap and it was almost over, but they asked a Republican strategist and she said Obama’s routine was very funny and there was alot of humor there. It was so not funny that you wonder what the repubs are doing. Now David Gregory on Meet the Press is rerunning some of Obama’s remarks last night about Trump.

Washington Times report – Newly released Obama birth certificate forensic forgery
    __________________-

I watched about 15min of the video. Initially, the preliminary forensic report is smashing the authenticity of the document Obama presented as his valid LFBC received from the state of HI. Detailing how the information was entered on the certificate in layers and as those layers are removed… empty space formerly containing pertinent information become blank.

The producers of the video should end it there… the rest of their information is too confusing and tends to undermine the importance of the forensic results determining the authenticity of the LFBC document as a fraud.

  244. Mrs. Smith,

Yes to all of his affairs, but showed also how bitter Rose Kennedy was to Joe after he arranged for their daughter Rosemary to have a lobotomy. She is not depicted in a good light at all.

    Well good for her! Bastard

  245. Good sense from an unexpected source:

It’s also the job of the media always to press for more information, not less. But so many spent their energy arguing that Obama need do no more and piling on the Birthers. They still seem to think they are gatekeepers, possessors of the power to decide what is or is not legitimate for citizens to ask of their public officials.
Get over yourselves, MSM. And do your job – not defending the right of people in power to protect themselves, but scrutinizing them relentlessly, with every fact and document you can get. You don’t defuse conspiracy theories or end legitimate doubts by telling public officials they need not provide clear and available evidence to rebut them.
    — Sullivan, Atlantic.

  246. Mrs. Smith
I agree that Trump decided to attend to make them joke about him to his face while he stared them down. That shows strength. I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump didn’t make a phone call and ask to be invited since he knew they would joke about him.

  247. Is it just me, or does it feel after tonight’s disgusting display, its almost like we are waiting in the calm before the storm.
    ***********************
I had a similar reaction when the joking started at the dinner last night that this country has become so partisan and so serious that you could see people in the crowd that looked shocked, some looked mad, others laughed but with their mouths covered as though they weren’t sure if they should be laughing. Tense is the word that probably described the general tone in the room. Not fun and raucous like in years past.

  248. Obama’s routine at the dinner was bad both in content and in tone. His delivery was monosyllabic and boorish. A classy person would drop the bc thing now that he thinks he has won, but O cannot let it drop.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3ny5R1L9qw&feature=youtu.be
    —————-
The first thing I noticed about the birth cert layers in Illustrator was the elements on each layer were situated on the green background in exactly the position they needed to be in in order to mess with the added green background. My impression was that elements from the newly released bc were cut and pasted to layers, then reconstructed to demonstrate and push the point of forgery. Ultimately, I believe the forensic forgery document is a reverse forensic forgery.
Aside from that, I thought the question in 2008 was one of obama’s dual citizenship with the bc being the first logical step in exploring that possibility. The question of dual citizenship remains unanswered.

    ———-
Personally I think Trump knew there would be jokes about the BC, now that Barry flung it to the press just before this dinner and when the Corsi book came out. The timing was on purpose, and because Barry couldn’t shut up the press and Trump on this issue.

Trump knew there would be blowback, he may not have known that he would be the main target of most of the attacks though. He showed he was not a coward and sat there and gave them the ‘look’.

Trump has not come out with a short attack yet, the wheels are turning…

When you claim a sitting President will go down in history as the Worst President of all time, you know shit is gonna hit the fan.

The ball is in Trump’s court…again, and I am sure he will maximize the retaliation.

    ================

Makes sense. As for the roast, it was painful to people who saw much of the context, the repetition. Most people didn’t see it, but will hear the criticisms of it.

  256. Being part of the news cycle or not, I prefer that Trump get his facts straight before delivery. I cringed when he said “Obama was born Barry Soetero”. I’m sure its stunning to learn and integrate in a condensed period of time the information that has been known to most of most of us for a few years now.
I hope Trump quietly follows up on the dual citizenship aspect, and if he comes up with any credible evidence that obama holds dual citizenship then he should broadcast it from the rooftops. But, as satisfying as it might be for us to witness power challenging power, shooting off his mouth half-cocked does nothing for his credibility, and makes him look like just another GOP whacko.

  257. “Wasn’t that when lobotomy was a new thing and the dangers were not well-known?”
    **********
Don’t know the details of Rosemary Kennedy’s situation but the procedure (Pre-frontal lobotomy) was developed in the 1930s as safer alternative to the then available “therapies”. (Malaria fever therapy, Insulin shock, etc.) These were the days of padded cells and straight jackets for the violent, mentally ill patient. A good friend of my mother had her husband “lobotomized about 1950. He had been in an auto accident in the late 1940s. After recovering from his head injury, he was angry and violent. He was institutionalized for several years in a locked room, restraints etc. The wife finally decided on a lobotomy and he was able to live at home for several decades before he died. My mother said that he was intellectually intact and functional but very passive and irresponsible.

Did the wife make the right decision? If she had waited four more years, Thorazine became available and he could have been “dulled and pacified” with drugs rather than surgery.

  258. If she had waited four more years, Thorazine became available and he could have been “dulled and pacified” with drugs rather than surgery. If she had waited four more years, Thorazine became available and he could have been “dulled and pacified” with drugs rather than surgery.

  260. Yeah, Trump may not be the perfect spokesman for the ins and outs of Barry’s birth history, but he is the only one out there right now willing to take a bullet for the Team. The perfectionists will have to wait. Right now all that is important is to get the ball rolling arousing people’s curosity to the fact Barry Soetoro is hiding something he doesn’t want us to see and know about.

Ankle biting a man putting himself on the line does more harm than good. We know what you know, maybe more- So leave the guy alone- he has an audience and is being heard- We can’t ask for much more right now, not until Corsi’s book reveals all his research. Yes. I noted this when he made the first BC comments on which ever show it was he first raised the question, then noticed he continues with this “seat of the pants” approach. I noticed an increased “education”, if you will, as he did subsequent interviews, but he still shoots off at the mouth without first having a firm grasp of the parameters.

  262. I missed the Trump roast last night so started to watch a recap of O’s remarks…and frankly could not stand listening to his slow, drone voice and the usual I, I, I…me, me, me and had to shut if off…the clips i did see of the lion king and his BC were dumb, silly…boring..and the usual narcissim we get from him…notice how O starts out with “what a week it was”…and then goes right to himself…forget tornados and the rest…for O the week was all about him…(towards the end reportedly he makes obligatory remarks on the tragedies)

Here’s a clip of Trump responding to last night’s roast on Fox news. It’s the third clip down, via hotair.
    ———
    Thanks for posting this.
I think he handled it really well, and also addressed the f-bomb issue for those that ripped off their pearls in shock.
    Good for Donald.

  264. There was a good comment on the hotair post:
That’s why kings used to have jesters. Last night’s jester, as usual, was mocking the disloyal subjects rather than the king.

Btw, I am definitely not an MO fan, I am repulsed that BO made this joke about her:

Of course, there’s someone who I can always count on for support: my wonderful wife Michelle. (Applause.) We made a terrific team at the Easter Egg Roll this week. I’d give out bags of candy to the kids, and she’d snatch them right back out of their little hands. (Laughter.) Snatched them. (Laughter.)

I hope MO divorces this loser as soon as they are out of the WH.

  265. Ankle biting a man putting himself on the line does more harm than good. We know what you know, maybe more- So leave the guy alone- he has an audience and is being heard- We can’t ask for much more right now, not until Corsi’s book reveals all his research. Then you can bone pick if there are issues you don’t agree with-

Shooting from the hip from the outset without getting basic facts straight has a tendency to de-legitimize ones argument. The risk is in losing newer members of ones audience, to say nothing of providing ammunition for ones opponents.

  266. Thanks Basil for posting Trump’s response @ 1:34

If you scroll down to the comments at the link, you get a good read of the public’s response…. THEY UNEQUIVOCALLY side with Trump!

Obama had the satisfaction of mocking and ridiculing Trump with mean-spirited remarks but he is the only one soothing a bruised ego. The people in the room didn’t receive the same gratification. To say the least, they were forced to muffle embarrassing laughter because they in their own minds have questions they have been warned not to ask-

Here’s a clip of Trump responding to last night’s roast on Fox news. It’s the third clip down, via hotair.
    ===========

What Trump was essentially saying is that the WH Correspondents dinner was like a bunch of the upper crust of society having a good time while the Titanic was busy slowly sinking.

  268. “Shooting from the hip from the outset without getting basic facts straight has a tendency to de-legitimize ones argument.”
    ______________________

That is the point- The question was all about getting basic facts straight- We don’t have all the facts so it tough to say what the basic facts are-

  269. Here’s the transcript from Politico.

Donald Trump pushed back Sunday at President Barack Obama for making him the “focus of the evening” in his White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech, and laced into Saturday Night Live comedian Seth Meyers as a “stutterer” whose delivery was lacking.

Trump’s comments came in a quick phone-in to “Fox and Friends,” a day after he sat almost stone-faced while the president and Meyers ripped him repeatedly, to belly laughs from the crowd. People at tables around him gaped at him watching for a reaction, and some of his tablemates wrote on Twitter that it was uncomfortable.

“Well, I really understood what I was getting into — I didn’t know that I’d be virtually the sole focus,” Trump said. “I guess when you’re leading in the polls that sort of thing tends to happen. But I was certainly in a certain way having a good time listening. I don’t think the American people are having a good time with $5 gas. … I was thinking to myself as they were doing this, you know, the American people are really suffering and we’re all” having fun at a gala.

“I thought Seth Meyers — his delivery frankly was not good,” Trump added. He’s a stutterer.”

  270. One joke that was mean but enjoyable to me what when the comedian asked Barry what happened to him? How during the campaign he looked like the guy in the Old Spice commercials – Isaiah Mustafa

    http://www.google.com/search?q=Isaiah+Mustafa,+Old+Spice+commercials&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=9OH&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&prmd=ivnso&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=XKO9TcXcC46usAOx-djeBQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CBEQ_AUoAQ&biw=1230&bih=592

…that was funny in itself, (the skinny wimp that BO is) even before he went on to talk about how Barry has deteriorated.

  271. We don’t have a marriage certificate between Stanley Dunham and Obama Sr., we don’t have Divorce papers attesting to the marriage being dissolved. We don’t have an Certificate of Adoption, that in fact Obama was adopted by Barry Soetoro. We don’t have a certificate of a name change from Barry Soetoro to Barack Hussein Obama. We don’t have scholl transcripts from Indonesia. We don’t have Occidental College Transcripts or Columbia College transcripts, or from Harvard or from Columbia or Obama’s Harvard Thesis…

    All we have is hearsay:

There are alot of facts that are not proven. Shooting from the hip doesn’t add up to a hill of beans…

What shooting from the hip does is pose more question- that is what we want and the point of it all!

  272. O.M.G.!!!!

Of course we all figured the press was in on the Trump stoning but check this from AOS!

Here is Jake Tapper’s tweet prior to the White House Correspondent’s dinner:

jaketapper Jake Tapper The thing no one knows about #nerdprom — this year the cool kids are totally going to pigs-blood a certain Carrie in our midst. Tune in!

The press was in on it. Trump may have the last laugh, though.

And Tapper is a whiney weasel. I am blocked from following him because he doesn’t like any criticism, only sycophants as followers. I have my ways of finding out what he’s up to, though.

  273. basil9

I don’t even have clean words to say to that. This was a prearranged verbal stoning.

Trump took it like a man. Like he said in his phone interview above, in negotiations, tossing out an f-bomb is no big deal. He is used to much worse language. 😉

Seth Myers got a good dig in with the Kool-Aid remark to MSNBC.

He said:”Obama pours the Kool-Aid for the MSNBC anchors and they all drink it.”

  275. “jaketapper Jake Tapper The thing no one knows about #nerdprom — this year the cool kids are totally going to pigs-blood a certain Carrie in our midst. Tune in!”

The press was in on it. Trump may have the last laugh, though.
    _______________________

I think Trump in retrospect figured that out where as I mentioned before, it was forced muffled laughter in the room to mean-spirited jokes verging on nasty ridicule with the Fox comment “forced to eat it”..

Trump will never forget last night and the hazing he experienced from a paid to assassinate press corp. Lesson 101 learned in the possible brutal assault from a wayward press beholden to a fraud sitting in the WH for fear of losing their jobs and a paycheck.

  276. Yea, Mrs. S.
That was a good one. Not as mean spirited as attacks on Trump, like the animal on his head.

Swipes were also taken at Ron Williams and Fox. The one shot I saw of O’Riley, he wasn’t smiling either.

  277. “O’Riley, he wasn’t smiling either.”
    __________________________

I think we saw the same “one” shot- I noticed it too- He would have been someone that had a ‘heads up’ about what the press had planned as Basil mentioned.. “with the pig’s blood dumping it on Carrie.”

I saw the #nerdprom and didn’t know which twitter to follow until they announced following # WHCD which I mentioned didn’t seem to be as biased as nerdprom… so the secret code last night was down and dirty with nerdprom.

    Point noted.

  279. I think Trump needs to use the BC to highlight Obama’s mental illness. By all accounts, withholding this BC for three years was driven by some perceived reward in punishing Obama’s political enemies. In this case, ordinary folks.

If I were Trump, I would first set to correct the record on who started the birth certificate controversy by compiling a few of the online media reports that existed since at least 2004, which stated that Obama was Kenyan-born. One of them was NPR:

    •npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=95550177
    •classic-web.archive.org/web/20040627142700/eastandard.net/headlines/news26060403.htm

Even Chris Matthews reported he was born in Indonesia in 2007
    •msnbc.msn.com/id/22326842/

There’s no doubt that some of these reports predate the 2008 election. The origin of the controversy is easily proven: the media is to blame. Naturally, people wanted clarification – they wanted the long form birth certificate. And according to his administration now, Obama refused because he saw an opportunity to capitalize on this misunderstanding even though it would mean three years of expense, controversy and racebaiting. Costs be damned, Obama saw this as a big plus for him because he suffers from a mental illness.

Obama decided to use the situation to exploit feelings of racial injustice. He could use it to make himself into a victim and in his sick mind, being a victim is good for his political image. There is a name for this mental illness and Trump needs to explain….

He needs to develop a handy nutshell story about how the soldier/doctor who fought in the wars that Obama lied about ending went to prison after a hierarchy of military channels failed to persuade Obama to disclose his totally benign birth certificate. Rather than just prove himself correct all along and spare the man’s freedom, Obama felt it would be to his advantage to have Terry Lakin locked behind bars at taxpayer expense.

Trump needs to find out how much it cost to imprison Lakin. A lowball estimate on the taxpayer cost in overall legal expenses (for all the combined relevant cases and their proceedings) would be nice, too, because even though some people can’t afford health insurance and our economy is in the crapper – Obama felt taxpayers had the money to burn on this easily ended controversy. He felt the benefits to his political image justified that cost.

So, while Obama spent Christmas with his family in Hawaii, Lakin was doing hard time as a political prisoner and Obama was basking in his perceived glory. This made sense to Obama and it felt good.

Now Obama has shown the innocuous birth certificate, and instead of giving those who wanted to see it the benefit of the doubt that they had innocent and natural questions as a result of contradictory media reports, he chose to ‘bemuse’ himself at their expense because people are pawns to him. Obama believes that ridiculing them now makes him appear more awesome than ever and his smile tells me he’s feeling pretty good. Obama is devoid of remorse for any trouble this game caused. It’s the joking, smiling, ridiculing and complete lack of remorse that Trump needs to explain underscores a serious mental health issue.

The fact is, Obama displays the signs and symptoms of being a ‘sociopath.’ We should all be very concerned for him and his family. If we are victims to it, no doubt his children are, too. He preys on those who are powerless.

    “Profile of the Sociopath

This website summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

    * Glibness and Superficial Charm

    * Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

    * Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as “their right.”

    * Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

    * Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

    * Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

    * Incapacity for Love

    * Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

    * Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others’ feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.

    * Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

    * Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet “gets by” by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

    * Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others’ lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.

    * Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

    * Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

    * Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.

    Other Related Qualities:

    1. Contemptuous of those who seek to understand them
    2. Does not perceive that anything is wrong with them
    3. Authoritarian
    4. Secretive
    5. Paranoid
    6. Only rarely in difficulty with the law, but seeks out situations where their tyrannical behavior will be tolerated, condoned, or admired
    7. Conventional appearance
    8. Goal of enslavement of their victim(s)
    9. Exercises despotic control over every aspect of the victim’s life
    10. Has an emotional need to justify their crimes and therefore needs their victim’s affirmation (respect, gratitude and love)
    11. Ultimate goal is the creation of a willing victim
    12. Incapable of real human attachment to another
    13. Unable to feel remorse or guilt
    14. Extreme narcissism and grandiose
    15. May state readily that their goal is to rule the world ”

The cool kids…that’s EXACTLY it. They want so depesperately to be considered cool. I remember talking to a guy in PA, when we all were making those millions of phone calls for Hillary in the primary, that was going to vote for Hillary, but was having a hard time because he thought the fraud was soo cool. Barf. I asked him if he had any daughters, he said yes. I asked him if he would feel safe sending them out on a date with the “cool” kid, or the one that was a leader, responsible and with a proven track record of helping those in need all of their life. He told me he was going to vote for Hillary. I hope he did.

To add: On Barry’s application to practice law obama listed Barack H. Obama as his name but failed to enter Barry Soetero on the line for other names he’s used.
By comparison, I just completed the procedure for refinancing my home. In the stack of documents I had to sign, there was one where I had to list all names/versions of my name that I have used in the past, to include: full first, middle, last name; first and last only, shortened version of my first name with last name; initial of first name with full last; etc. All of this in order to refi with the same company I’ve been doing business with for the past 20 years!
In a similar vein, I had a new accountant prepare my tax returns this year. I didn’t have my original social security card and had to show my birth certificate / passport as proof of indentity. All of this in order to donate more money to the government!
Yet, to many it’s an outrage that Barack Obama – Soetero is asked to show his birth certificate in order to qualify for the Presidency. Boggled mind.

Really good come back! Way to go TRUMP!

    ———————-
When you call the document which has been posted on the White House website “a reverse forensic forgery”, do you mean that it is not a valid legal document? Because if that is the case, then this is a big deal. The political ramifications would be enormous.

  285. “I think we saw the same “one” shot- I noticed it too- He would have been someone that had a ‘heads up’ about what the press had planned as Basil mentioned.. “with the pig’s blood dumping it on Carrie.””

Ah yes, ‘Carrie.’ She did get her revenge, didn’t she?

And I seem to recall rooting for ‘Carrie’ when she lit their asses on fire and torched the whole stinkin’ school of bullies.

  286. If you are saying that what Obama posted on the White House website which he intended to look like a forgery, then the guy who said this is a CIA operation is not as ludicrous as he sounds. The National Review on line assumption that this was caused by scanning sounds doubtful.

  287. I wonder how many of those laughing at Donald Trump’s expense last night woke up this morning shitting rubber nickles, or something worse.

What mental illness does it typify when you purposely lead your well wishers over a cliff.

  288. The perfectionists will have to wait. Right now all that is important is to get the ball rolling arousing people’s curosity to the fact Barry Soetoro is hiding something he doesn’t want us to see and know about.

Ankle biting a man putting himself on the line does more harm than good.

    ==================

Right. And that applies to ankle biting a lot of other people too, on larger issues: Gore, Coakley, any senator or congressperson who voted against Ryan’s budget, etc etc.

My understanding is that the daughter that was lobotimized was not aggressive but acted out, as in rebelled, running off at night, etc. Does not qualify for having your brain removed. Also remember, men could put women in Psych institutions under minimal and fraudulant circumstances. Especially men with money.

  290. Shooting from the hip from the outset without getting basic facts straight has a tendency to de-legitimize ones argument. The risk is in losing newer members of ones audience, to say nothing of providing ammunition for ones opponents.

    ===================

On other issues, yes. But in this case, I expect the only people who would catch that mistake, and talk about it, would be the choir of ‘birthers’, who already agree on the main points. Even if the MSM caught it, they’d probably talk abouat something else, because to discuss ‘Soetero’ would be to educate people on the real Soetero connection (as well as boring their audience).

  291. When you call the document which has been posted on the White House website “a reverse forensic forgery”, do you mean that it is not a valid legal document? Because if that is the case, then this is a big deal. The political ramifications would be enormous.
    —————–
Sorry I was unclear. I was trying to say that some of those calling the WH version a forgery may have created the layered .pdf version by deconstructing the WH document and then presenting it as the basis for construction of the WH version. Simply cutting and pastng elements from the WH version into the layers, what I’d call a reverse build, but that build has some questionable attributes, imo.
Granted after I noticed what I consider flaws in the first two layers of the pdf layered version, I didnt devote any time to examining the other layers. At this point I don’t believe either side of the pdf equation.

  292. we don’t have Divorce papers attesting to the marriage being dissolved

    ================

The commentator is probably talking about some image posted elsewhere (Wash Times?) rather than the one at whitehouse.gov.

  294. wbboei,

What makes sense to me is that the image at whitehouse.gov is legit. Iirc, the image was scanned from a book of records (see the top left corner) and then printed out by the HI Red Tape Ministry on green-pattern security paper, with the result that the words don’t match (mesh with) the green lines on the paper.

According to a commentator above, someone else then took that image and moved elements to mesh with the lines — thus producing a ‘reverse’ forgery.

  295. Yet, to many it’s an outrage that Barack Obama – Soetero is asked to show his birth certificate in order to qualify for the Presidency.

    =================

Might be worth researching other presidents’ (and candidates’) bc’s. A quick look showed that Nixon and Eisenhower both had to have special bc’s created. This suggests that asking for a bc was a routine thing, and other candidates produced theirs without problem.

  296. The immigration paperwork just released had a paper that BO Sr. filled out reporting that his marriage was Feb 2, 1961.

There was another paper on which he said on 4/21/64 that they had been separated for two months (of course, it seems they were ALWAYS separated, as they don’t seem to have ever been together after the birth).

My understanding is that the have the divorce decree, but not yet the marriage decree. I’m trying to remember when Ann married the next husband…

  297. here is the video of Trump’s response. My take, the man is grouping and ready to attack in his own time
    ——————————–
That would be consistent with Donald’s personality. There is an old saying which goes like this: Never strike a king unless you kill him. Obama is too arrogant to understand that.

  298. The animated clip of “Obama’s birth” they showed at the roast was from the children’s movie The Lion King, set in Africa, which is why there were zebras. It was more of the “make fun of birthers” theme, not just the messianic birth, but hitting on the rumors that he was actually born in Africa.

    ————————
    That is the perfect response.

  300. I just looked at the divorce decree. Looks like the divorce was finalized March 20, 1964. On the immigration paperwork BO Sr said he had been “separated” for two months on 4/21/64 – he was a month off. But I wonder if he thought “separated” meant “divorced”, or if he was still trying to screw with immigration. He was in the process of trying to stay in the U.S., and he may have thought it would be more helpful to still be married, even if separated, rather than divorced.

  301. I wonder if all along he was just trying to find a way to stay in the US for awhile (by marrying Ann and impregnating her), and if all along she just wanted to rebel against her parents, doing the same things. Because they certainly never seemed to be “a couple”, and no one ever seemed very interested in the baby.

  302. Don’t know if this was posted before, but this guy did a nice analysis of the BC on Adobe Illustrator.

  303. wbboei
    May 1st, 2011 at 4:26 pm

    That is the perfect response.

Also by not attacking right away Trump can make them squirm and wait for it. Of course they may be too arrogant to think he will after the beating they gave him last night. His response was controlled and measured and showed that he is not (at least outwardly) furious but somewhat flattered by the DC elite making him the center of attention. Making the WH wait for the next shoe to drop is a much better tactic.

  304. Lorac
My understanding is that the have the divorce decree, but not yet the marriage decree. I’m trying to remember when Ann married the next husband…
    ___________

    Lorac, this is on Wikepedia:

It was at the East-West Center that Dunham met Lolo Soetoro, a Javanese surveyor who had come to Honolulu on September 1962 on a East-West Center grant to study geography at the University of Hawaii. Soetoro graduated from the University of Hawaii with an M.A. in geography in June 1964. In 1965, Soetoro and Dunham were married in Hawaii, and in 1966, Soetoro returned to Indonesia. After her graduation from the University of Hawaii with a B.A. in anthropology on August 6, 1967, Dunham moved with her six-year-old son to Jakarta, Indonesia in October 1967 to rejoin her husband.

  305. “Might be worth researching other presidents’ (and candidates’) bc’s. A quick look showed that Nixon and Eisenhower both had to have special bc’s created.”
    ********
I think is beyond reasonable doubt that Obama was born in HI and is a US citizen. That said, the hard core debate seems to be whether he satisfies the “Natural Born” qualification set out in the US Constitution. The “issue” could’a, should’a, would’a been settled if the SCOTUS had ruled on the eligibility of Barry Goldwater to run for President or most recently, John McCain. McCain especially has a weak case for satisfying Natural Born. A Constitutional amendment is probably the only way now to settle the issue. It will become more of an issue in the future. As an example, Marco Rubio, is mentioned as a possible future VP or Presidential candidate. Does he meet the Constitutional criteria? Born in the US but both parents were Cuban Exiles, not sure if they were ever naturalized. Or what about a person born in Puerto Rico..the Congressional Research Service has ruled that such a person is a “Natural Born US Citizen”, but what weight does the Congressional Research Service have in defining Constitutional Law????

  306. “Or what about a person born in Puerto Rico..the Congressional Research Service has ruled that such a person is a “Natural Born US Citizen”, but what weight does the Congressional Research Service have in defining Constitutional Law????”

Puerto Ricans are US citizens, and until Puerto Rico declares independence, Puerto Rico is US territory, so technically, a child born there to Puerto Rican residents is a US natural born citizen.

  307. Thanks, andyp. You know, I recall that she met BO Sr when she started attending UHawaii, then immediately after the birth enrolled at a school up in Washington. I’m not sure I realized she went back down to Hawaii to finish her degree – and it took her 7 years to get the 4 year degree. That’s not so odd for a single parent, so maybe she spent more time with the kid than I was thinking.

But then again, I wonder WHEN she moved back to Hawaii – maybe she farmed him right out to the grandparents until she took him to Indonesia. Anyway, my big wonder is why did she go to Washington in the first place instead of just doing her whole degree in Hawaii, where she started (and finished). Maybe a family flap.

  308. “Born in the US but both parents were Cuban Exiles, not sure if they were ever naturalized.”

Rubio’s parents were Cuban exiles but were naturalized later on.
I think the principle the founding fathers wanted was to make sure there was no other loyalty except to the US for a president.
So they might have thought having 2 US parents when the child was born is a NBC.

Now, my humble opinion, you have many US parents who loath the US, yet their child would be a NBC and qualified to be president.

So, my guess is if a child is born to immigrants,LEGAL ones, in the US and then those parents become naturalized US citizens later on, I say this is NBC (like Jindal or Rubio)
If the child is born on a US base overseas, that is a NBC.

a child born in the US, even to illegals should not be considered a US citizen and certain not a NBC.

Waffle’s father left the country, a Kenyan citizen, Waffles does not have sole loyalty to this country. I do not see him as a NBC, he may have been born naturally in the US, but not as how the founders intented. This will really not go anywhere unfortunately.

The thing that stuns me that an patriotic Col from the air force was forced to spend 1 yr in prison because Waffles refused to release his BC, even the fake one. Of course this is a man who has no respect for the US military.

  309. Tony – but I recall hearing that Puerto Ricans cannot vote in something – our general elections, maybe? There were Puerto Ricans pushing for independence, but Obots were pushing for them to become more fully a part of the US, because they were drooling at having more hispanic votes, which they assumed would be automatically dem.

  310. Tony – forgot to mention my point – so if they can’t vote just the same as we can, that might throw into question whether they are natural born citizens as we can be….? ie, how can you be allowed to become president of a land in which you aren’t even allowed full voting rights….

  311. Lorac

You’re correct in that Puerto Ricans can’t vote for federal elections like for members of Congress and the WH because Puerto Rico is a US Commonwealth, but they are still considered to be US citizens and Puerto Rico is still US soil. If the definition of a US NBC is someone who is born to two US citizens in US soil, then that person would be a US NBC at birth, if I understand Leo Donofrio’s legal arguments correctly.

  312. It’s an interesting conundrum, isn’t it? lol If they ran for president, they wouldn’t be able to vote for themselves lol

  313. That would be something that the courts definitely need to decide, whether a child born to US citizens in US territories like military bases in other countries or places like Puerto Rico and American Samoa can be considered to be NBCs. The argument about McCain’s NBC status revolves around whether he was born in a Panamanian hospital or whether he was born in a US hospital inside the then American-held Panama canal.

  314. Tony – yes, I’ve been realizing that the issue is far more complicated than I had realized. The point you raised brings it up, also about a week ago I wrote that I wondered what would happen when the mother has put down “father unknown”, including in cases of insemination. I really hope the Supreme court does tackle the issue, but it won’t be as simple as I had originally been thinking….

  315. I have heard that McCain was not born on the base. I suspect he and Obama had an agreement to let it all be, since they both had NBC difficulties….

  316. The thing that stuns me that an patriotic Col from the air force was forced to spend 1 yr in prison because Waffles refused to release his BC, even the fake one.

    ================

Are you sure of the dates of the imprisonment and the 2008 COLB?

    ================

Yes. It’s always been a long shot, but interesting to speculate about.

If McCain was not eligible, then the requirement is too strict; both parents US citizens in the US militayr on military assignment!?!

    What was Goldwater’s problem?

But then again, I wonder WHEN she moved back to Hawaii – maybe she farmed him right out to the grandparents until she took him to Indonesia. Anyway, my big wonder is why did she go to Washington in the first place instead of just doing her whole degree in Hawaii, where she started (and finished). Maybe a family flap.

Call me stupid, but I think even if he was not born on a US base, his parents were both US citizens and they were away on US business. That does it for me on the constitutional requirement. As for the rest, that man has had every bone in his body broken during the Vientnam conflict and I admire him so much. In my opinion, he is the only US citizen who has the right to be a thug, or anything he wants to be. I read his book and he has proven that HE LOVES AMERICA. He could have left the prison a coouple of years early, but he wasn’t a sell-out. When you think of John McCain, love himm or hate him, you should break out in God Bless America. He is a true American and he paid his dues.

  320. I have heard that McCain was not born on the base. I suspect he and Obama had an agreement to let it all be, since they both had NBC difficulties….

That is the problem…NBC is in the eye of the beholder until SCOTUS or an Amendment gives definition and clarification. Tony says Puerto Ricans would satisfy the Constitution to run for Pres., what about Guam or CNMI (Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas)both have similar status as Puerto Rico. Then the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa???. If a person is born in the US whose parents are US Nationals but not citizens, what is the child’s status re:Natural Born? And those are the most obvious variables…American parents, born in foreign county…Natural Born???, etc…etc…etc…

  321. If patriotism was an essential component for eligibility to be POTUS, then it would be included in the Constitution’s list of requirements. One can then argue that a naturalized citizen who served in the US military and is severely injured in combat in Afghanistan deserves to be eligible to run for POTUS since they demonstrated their patriotism and allegiance to the USA.

  322. I think for me, it is weird to think of people in those countries ever being as full a part of the US as we are – they have very different cultures. I think we shouldn’t have “possessions”, we should just let them be independent, but I suppose the rationale is that they must be geographically good places for bases or lookouts or something….

I agree with you. Bill Ayers is a natural born citizen, born to US parents on US soil, I shudder to think this terrorist is qualified to be president, yet Mccain was questioned about his qualifications. I guess the founders didn’t think far enough ahead that we would have a county where many of its citizens loath the country. Of course, some of the founders did recognize this when they said they created a republic, and it will last only as long as the citizens will keep it that way. It appears this is in decline now.

  325. Someone on NQ has mentioned how the date that BO Sr.’s visa was to expire was the exact same date as the filing of BO Jr.’s BC. He had not gotten his school work (dissertation) done during the alloted time, and he was at that time desperately trying to get his visa extended (although apparently he never did any work on that dissertation).

I suppose it could be that he’s not the black father, but made a deal with Ann that he’d be the father on the BC, which might benefit both of them for a time.

If this guy hadn’t turned out to be such a warped personality and weren’t ruining our country, I might feel really sorry for him. No one seems to have really cared for him (probably not his fault at the time, it was because they, too, had issues….)

Mercer Island. The site in British Columbia was the Salvation Army Home on Oak Street, as I recall. I used to pass it on the way to Stanley Park–no relation to . . etc. The fact that she could not diaper him–personally I would rather muzzle him myself, came from an msm video when the issue first arose. If the birth certificate posted on the White House is a fake, then the issue is still open, and a spoliatory inference would attach to Obama in that instance. Presenting forged document in support of his eligibility would be a crime, but more important a political disaster for him.

  329. But someone like Bill Ayers – he just meets the most basic prerequisites for president – just the starting points. The people get to choose* among those who meet the basic rules, and while there are unfortunately some who think as he does, I can’t imagine someone with his outspoken beliefs could get elected.

Elections are all about loving America – or pretending to. He’s never tried to pretend to be anything but what he is. BO on the other hand… I think he falls under the “pretending to” category…

Yes indeed. Great job Tony. Great job Mrs. Smith.

  331. SHV

This has been analyzed to death at Donofrio’s blog. The essence is whether one acquires sole allegiance to the US or not. Dual citizens are subject to the laws of the countries that they are citizens of when they go there. A US NBC is subject only to the laws of the US and other countries cannot apply the laws they subject their citizens to to a US NBC such as military service. Donofrio has discussed for example the case of an NBC born to Italian parents who were naturalized US citizens at the te of his birth who was being pressured by Italy to serve in its military when he trVelled there and why that NBC deserved the protection of the US State Department. An essential component to a child’s NBC status is the citizenship of the parents at the time of birth. Either they are US citizens (whether native, natural born, or naturalized) or they aren’t. Chester Arthur’s father wasn’t (he got naturalized years after CA’s birth), which makes CA not an NBC, a fact that he hid from everybody because he knew the implications. A child born to US permanent residents living in Louisiana would not be an NBC since his parents were not US citizens at the moment of it’s birth according to this definition of who is an NBC.

  332. But how can the suspicions of the new BC ever go anywhere? I’m sure BO would have to give approval for independent verification, which he wouldn’t do. The Supremes could make him, but they haven’t shown any indication of wanting to hear the case.

And a looooong time ago they started their meme of “no matter what he shows, it will be questioned, so why should he show any more” – I’ve heard that for a long time, but it’s been reborn lately (I think all along it was partly it was to head off any questions if they DID ever release a long form in the future).

Personally, I think a LOT of Obama supporters breathed a sigh of relief when he came out with the long form – I suspect even they were starting to have doubts – which may have been the polling that put the fire under their butts. Whether this one is real, who knows. We need that independent investigation, which we won’t get…

  333. Tony, I think, as SHV said, none of these different approaches to why BO isn’t an NBC have any traction is because it is not definitive until the Supremes rule on it. I’ve seen some people on other sites write that now that the BC shows that his father was African, it’s proof that he isn’t an NBC. But Obama has never hid the fact that his father was an African citizen here temporarily as a student, and he even put on his website that his father was a British citizen, so the BC certainly isn’t a smoking gun, as those people seem to be suggesting.

There was plenty of evidence that his NBC status was suspect all along. I think he (or his handlers) knew that none of it would hold water unless the Supremes ruled on it.

If McCain’s parents were in Panama officially as diplomats or as part of the US military, then yes, one can make the argument that Panama cannot apply its citizenship laws to children born to them in Panamian territory anymore than the US can call the child of the Russian ambassador to the UN an American citizen if that child was born in a hospital in New York City as mentioned in the 14th Amendment. Again, this is an area where the courts will have to clarify once and for all.

The difference is “Two US parents”. Obama didn’t have that.

  338. Tony – but again, the question isn’t “who is a citizen”, but “who is an NBC”. But I agree, the courts have to get involved – especially as there are people coming up who may run who don’t meet the requirements as we were all taught in school.

Hmmm… I wonder what they teach NOW? Anyone have a kid in high school right now taking US History and Constitution?

  339. Lorac

I agree that Obama’s case as an NBC is weakened by his father being a British national, which Obama admitted makes him subject at birth to the British Nationality Act of 1948 and a subject of the monarchy. McCain’s case resolves more around the location ofhis birth and whether Panamanian laws of citizenship could be applied to him, which is what the Dems tried to use against him in 2008.

  340. Maybe Obama wasn’t paying attention when the Senate defined who and what classifies a NBC. It was a Royal screwup on his part admitting his father was a British subject and a Kenyan Citizen then bragging to the World on National tv on Oprah how he called up some folks in Hawaii and said… special favor…. blah, blah, blah,-

Obama just committed political suicide admitting publicly the certificate he posted on his Presidential website is true and accurate.

The Senate defined “natural born Citizen” in 2008, and Obama didn’t qualify

DEMOCRAT SENATOR PATRICK LEAHY AND OTHERS “RESOLVED” THAT IT TOOK TWO CITIZEN PARENTS TO BE A “NATURAL BORN CITIZEN”

  341. Tony – what did that court decide, and what year was it?

I really am wondering now what they’re teaching in school. If they still say “born to two citizens on US soil”, then it would be clear to even high school kids that BO isn’t eligible. So I’m thinking they’ve probably changed the books. I saw a documentary once that showed how people can get history revised in school books….

The issue is closed unless someone steps up and makes it an issue.

There are many folks that have/are taking the issue to court, and Trump bringing up the issue that a forensic team needs to/or is checking it out.

    Time will tell…

  343. Mrs. Smith – I’ve already heard that counter argument to that – they say that this proclamation was a non-binding resolution (ie, not legal), and that it specifically refers to McCain, so “of course” it mentions two citizen parents, because that’s what he had – not that it was meant to refer to everyone – I guess their intimation is that if McCain had happened to have one citizen parent, it would have said he was an NBC because he was born to “a” citizen parent.

  344. Off topic but thought some would find this interesting.

Apparently, Clinton has pondered the Obamacare dilemma and opines he thinks SCOTUS may overturn it.

    From Redstate.

  345. Drudge is now making this their top story.

Trump says jokes about him by Obama, Meyers were ‘inappropriate’ (We already know of this, it took Drudge awhile, thought he was hanging him out to dry.)

  346. Here’s the text of that resolution – it’s really just about McCain, it doesn’t specifically say what an NBC is, and even says that the constitution doesn’t say what an NBC is. Hillary signed onto this resolution. It’s just totally amazing that they made McCain go through this, but didn’t make Obama go through this. Amazing.

    RESOLUTION
Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

    Whereas the Constitution of the United States requires that, to be eligible for the Office of the President, a person must be a `natural born Citizen’ of the United States;

    Whereas the term `natural born Citizen’, as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, is not defined in the Constitution of the United States;

    Whereas there is no evidence of the intention of the Framers or any Congress to limit the constitutional rights of children born to Americans serving in the military nor to prevent those children from serving as their country’s President;

    Whereas such limitations would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the `natural born Citizen’ clause of the Constitution of the United States, as evidenced by the First Congress’s own statute defining the term `natural born Citizen’;

    Whereas the well-being of all citizens of the United States is preserved and enhanced by the men and women who are assigned to serve our country outside of our national borders;

Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President; and

Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it be

Resolved, That John Sidney McCain, III, is a `natural born Citizen’ under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States.Calendar No. 715

  347. Well, I snooped around on some of the obot sites and they are rabid to eradicate Trump. Reporters booed him after his appearance on the red carpet (although I heard many yell out Donald) and the whole disgusting planned attack on him is just too unreal.

Anyone else think Trump fires back with both barrels blazing? Or is he done? To publicly humiliate him in front of the country at the hands of POTUS, I mean, that’s pretty powerful, don’t you think?

Not for us, here, but for the koolade addicts. I just see the same pattern – media takedown of the Bo enemy – the targeting – it is unbelievable. They sharpened their teeth on Palin and are going for the kill.

I have to be honest. I don’t see how Trump survives this. Or am I just being paranoid (again)?

Or did Trump expect this? Did someone tip HIM off?

    What say you all?

  348. If it turns out that this new official end all doubts birth certificate is also a fraud then I hope Donald will push it. In that case, I would not be surprised if senior officials from both parties get him to the side and ask him not to make an issue of it, because that would undermine public trust in government. And what I hope he would say in response is sorry boys, but you cannot maintain public trust based on a big lie. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, electric light is the best policeman. In sum, the public has a right to know, and we have a sworn obligation to tell them. Is there anything else I can do for you?

  349. I hear you lorac- but these are the facts:

Obama and McCain swore an oath both of them were Natural Born Citizens at the time when the resolution was being drafted. Obama perjured himself when he did that knowing full well, he was NOT born of parents who were US Citizens. Thats the rub: It’s the LIE that is gonna get him.

    a brief summary:
    _____________________

“The House of Representatives, the other branch (with the Senate) of the Congress, is supposed to be the representation of the people in our Constitutional Republic. The House of Representatives is based on the population in the several States thereby resulting in divvying up statistically its members. Did the House of Representatives have any method that the Senate did not possess to define natural born citizen? The answer is no, both the House of Representatives and the Senate make up the Congress and legislative powers granted within the Constitution apply to the Congress as a whole. The negligence in addressing this matter by the Senate can also be attributed to the House of Representatives. So what could have or should have been done to resolve this issue after April 2008 and before the November 4, 2008 election?

Both John McCain and Barack Obama were U.S. Senators while running for President in 2008. Both men were keenly aware of the non-binding Senate resolution passed regarding John McCain’s natural born citizenship status as John McCain was the subject of the bill and Barack Obama was a co-sponsor of the bill. Both men had to swear and attest to being natural born citizens on Arizona’s Presidential Preference Election Candidate Nomination Form (A.R.S. § 16-242).[xii] When John McCain signed this form under what knowledge or authority did he make this attestation?

In Barack Obama’s case, he studied law at Harvard and received his degree, a doctorate of jurisprudence, from Harvard. According to a New York Times article written by Jodi Kantor on July 30, 2008 entitled “Teaching Law, Testing Ideas, Obama Stood Slightly Apart,” Barack Obama spent twelve years teaching at the University of Chicago Law School. In the article, Kantor describes Barack Obama’s time at the University of Chicago Law School in part as follows:

At the school, Mr. Obama taught three courses, ascending to senior lecturer, a title otherwise carried only by a few federal judges. His most traditional course was in the due process and equal protection areas of constitutional law.[xiii]

It is easy to understand that Barack Obama’s studies and eventual teaching of constitutional law may not have focused on or taken him into the intricacies of naturalization laws, the natural born citizen requirement and the cases we have presented in this book, but surely he would have had some familiarity with these matters. When Barack Obama signed Arizona’s Presidential Preference Election Candidate Nomination Form (A.R.S. § 16-242),[xiv] under what authority or understanding of the definition of natural born citizen did he feel comfortable in making this attestation?

Did not John McCain and Barack Obama have some moral duty to ensure they were eligible to be President under Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution? Since when has political power and gain asked a man to abandon character and his moral compass? Each man had to know that if it was later proven they did not meet the Constitutional requirement to be President that a Constitutional crisis would result jeopardizing the fundamental stability of our Constitutional Republic and society as a whole. What type of men risk so much for personal gain? This is the quandary we find ourselves in today. Why didn’t either gentleman, file a law suit within the State of Arizona asking for clarification of the definition of natural born citizen? The form did not define the term natural born citizen. Each candidate had to know that he could not definitively make the case that he was without doubt a natural born citizen. After filing suit and obtaining a definition, if the definition provided did not fit the description of the circumstances of the candidates birth, he could have appealed the case all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court. Given each gentleman’s prominence and what was at stake, it is quite reasonable to suggest that these matters could have made it through the courts before the National Conventions of each party held in July 2008 for the Democrats and August 2008 for Republicans. Why would these two men, one of which was going to be elected President, take an oath (which they had already taken as U.S. Senators) to protect and defend the Constitution show no fidelity to it in their respective quests to become President? With their apparent unwillingness to bring resolution to the matter, could not have someone or something else required them to pay fidelity to the Constitution? The answer is emphatically, yes! The supposed fourth estate, the media, and, in particular, what we refer to as the main stream media could have thoroughly investigated this matter forcing the issue to be put to rest. However, the main stream media had no interest in paying fidelity to our Constitution either.”
    _________________________

This means that Donald Trump as a candidate from the State of NY for the presidency can file a suit against Obama stating he has failed the test for US Citizenship because as the non-binding Senate resolution states and has settled and agreed upon a clear definition of how a Natural Born Citizen should be defined meaning, having 2 parents that are US citizens.

    In Minor v. Happersett, 88 U.S. 162 (1874), Chief Justice Waite stated:

The Constitution does not, in words, say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth, citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents. As to this class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. …”

Note that this ruling came after the 14th Amendment was adopted, which defined only who was a US Citizen and did not specifically define NBCs. Also note the last sentence where the Court expressed doubts about the NBC status of children born in the US to non-US citizens.

That is what they want you to believe–that they control the chess board. That might be true in normal times, but these are desperate times. How would your analysis change if he produced some new information that was damning? How would it change if he declared his candidacy? I really do not see how they ignore him. The media loves a fight, and he will give them one. Consider this round 2 in a 15 round bout. This kind of thing is as old as Andrew Jackson. God did he have a problem with the Washington elites. But he became president anyway.

  353. basil – I think Trump will fight back. He definitely seems to be a fighter. He’s had some failures (bankruptcy, etc), but I don’t think they were due to “giving up”. I suspect he goes down fighting (when he does go down).

But I don’t think that he has been humilitated in the eyes of the nation. He has already pointed out that it was the elite at that function, and that they don’t feel the regular person’s pain (discredited them, in other words). And there are fewer and fewer bots drinking the koolaid – the ones that are left are trying to plant the illusion that he was humiliated, but they have never been mainstream, anyway.

I imagine he’ll come out of this okay. Personally, I’m not even sure he’s that serious about running for the presidency – I think he mainly wants to get BO out (but I may be biased by my secret hope that he’s doing all this to make space for Hillary!).

The thing that is “special” about Trump, is that he is not beholden to any party, he is not a part of the power structure of any party – he doesn’t need to listen to them. And he’s rich – he doesn’t need to win. He can become a candidate for awhile to have a platform for his beliefs, the money he spends won’t matter to him, and he’ll just go back to doing his usual stuff if he quits or doesn’t win.

So – I think he will fight back and survive. I think BO made a big mistake. He’s not the only one with an ego – but Trump’s is based on a lifetime of achievements – not on a fragile defense system of fantasy. Trump may have now been prompted to go full tilt on the next thing – maybe his grades….

  354. Mrs. S.

    ————

    Wouldn’t that be sweet?

Trump files in standing and the Supremes toss Barry out on his bum.

    God, that would be history!

  355. “I think Trump is more prepared than most to deal with this bs, as long as they don’t attack his family.”

Agreed. So far the attacks have been isolated to him, I don’t think even Waffles and his minions are stupid to do to Trump’s family what they did to Palin’s family. If they want the dogs of hell to be released, they will attack Trump’s family, but I don’t think even they are that stupid to do that.

Wow, I didn’t know that, so this passes the Senate, signed into law by GWB, and Waffles now has openly admitted that his BC is real and his father is not an american and so he is NOT a NBC according to that definition passed in 2008. Talk about wow, commiting a crime out in the open.

Thank you lorac for all those links.

  357. lorac

Also note that the Court mentioned parents as opposed to parent. Obama cannot claim to be an NBC on the basis of having one American parent; the citizenship of both parents is important in knowing for sure who was an NBC.

  358. Thanks Shadowfax and wbboei. I knew I should not have been scouting on enemy turf without my full metal jacket on.

But it really is sickening, isn’t it? That the POTUS would go after a civilian on national television that way. It is unprecedented.

If nothing else, should Trump persist the episode probably gave him quite an education about the lengths to which these POS’s will go. I’m guessing he already had a good inkling but I wouldn’t be surprised if vets from Hillaryis44 couldn’t teach him a thing or two about the Mighty Mouth’s tactics as witnessed here during the 2008 primary and what was done to HRC.

I hope someone emailed Trump that Jack Tapper tweet about pigs blood.

    👿

  359. Basil9
Trump isn’t new to their game plan. He saw how and what they did to Hillary, then Palin. I think he knew what he was in for and I think his skin is plenty thick. I don’t for a minute believe Trump will back down from another round with Teh Once.

  360. Tim

If they want the dogs of hell to be released, they will attack Trump’s family, but I don’t think even they are that stupid to do that.
    —-
That’s for sure, they had better run for their lives if they go after his family. 😉

  361. Tim – it wasn’t a legal decision, it was a non-binding resolution. I’m not sure it will hold water against Mr. Teflon. It has to go to the Supremes, and they have turned down every case.

As far as Trump mounting a case based on his “standing” once he declares his candidacy, someone already did that. I can’t remember his name, but he also ran for president in 2008, that black republican who also ran against BO in the senate race. He was also declared to not have “standing”. So far no one in the world has “standing”, it seems….

Oh, his names is Allen Keyes.

No Tim- Read the entire link from the beginning… you can skip the parts you already know and skim through the cases brought before the court. No, this resolution was never passed by the Senate but the fact that McCain and Obama swore they both met the conditions under the Constitution for eligibility to be candidates for the presidency.

What I’m saying is- Obama seems to have forgotten about this little happening in the state of Arizona. In the link they both gave their credentials attesting to the knowledge of the Constitution. (be sure and read that)

When Obama produced his LFBC and it stated his father was a British subject and a Kenyan Citizen, he never seemed surprised or embarrassed or realized his coverup of that fact was revealed by his own hand in spite of taken an oath with McCain stating he was sure he could prove he is a Natural Born Citizen. Maybe his place of birth can’t be challanged but he stepped in it revealing his father was not a US Citizen and he lied under oath to cover up that fact.

  363. lorac

Oh, his names is Allen Keyes.

    ———–
The cobwebs of drama are clearing and I remember that now. Did the court ever say WHO does have standing?

Big Pink lawyers, what say you?

  364. Tim,

I hope you send that tweet to Trump!

Thanks lorac, dwp. Reading the obot sites is so nauseating. That’s some pretty strong poison they brew over there. Think I’ll rely on the 44 marines to relay intelligence from now on.

  365. You got sucked down the rabbit hole for a little while basil9. You needed to come out for some pink air.

  366. lorac-

“As far as Trump mounting a case based on his “standing” once he declares his candidacy, someone already did that. ________________

When Keyes or whoever mounted the case THEY HAD NO PROOF-

Obama just handed them the proof they needed LAST week.

This is a new ball game. That is how the law works!

  367. Tony, this part of the legal decision:

These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of their parents.

The first sentence I cut is talking about NBC, but the next sentence seems to only be talking about citizens – and it’s true, because anchor babies are “citizens” (which I personally would like to see abolished).

I just don’t think anything (but changing public opinion) will affect Mr. Teflon other than a definitive statement from the Supreme Court – but they won’t give it.

  368. “So far no one in the world has “standing”, it seems”

So, that means, Waffles has openly declared that he is not a NBC according to that nonbinding resolution of 2008, now Keyes and others have proof, right?

So this is significant in that the proof of his father is not an american citizen is now admitted by the release of the BC and that is opposite of what Waffles said he was consitutionally legit based on that 2008 nonbinding resolution, so he is essentially caught in a open lie?

  369. I had 6yrs of evening classes 3 x a week in Constitutional Law. This is a game changer for Obama and also political suicide by his own hand. Is it no surprise Trump was so happy when Obama released his LFBC. And even that is a fraud- except for the Father being a British subject at the time of his birth.

  370. Obama’s disapproval rating has gone down this week from -4.8 to -1.9. I think the release of the BC may have helped him.

  371. Mrs. Smith – I hope you’re right, but I guess I just don’t see it. The short form also said his father was “African” (although that was supposed to be race=black, and this longer one says birthplace=Africa), but it has always been common knowledge that his father was not an American citizen – he even put it on his website.

I guess the difference seems to me to be that the “evidence” hasn’t mattered yet, because if you aren’t allowed “standing”, you aren’t allowed to even PRESENT the evidence. So if the courts still say people have no standing, the fact that his long form shows the evidence in further documentation won’t matter….

  372. “so he is essentially caught in a open lie?”
    _______________________

A treasonous Lie that meets the requirements of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. Usurping the US Presidency!

  373. Well, I haven’t taken any legal classes, but it seems to me that “standing” is not predicated on “evidence” – they’re two separate things. And you have to be granted “standing” to even present the “evidence”.

I suppose it’s like a crime – you could have video evidence of someone committing the crime, but if the D.A. won’t pick up the case, you’ll get nowhere.

  374. lorac
    May 1st, 2011 at 8:00 pm

Firget all that… it’s the LIE he told when he swore he was a NBC- just before he signed the paperwork for declaring himself a candidate for president in Arizona. And you see in the link posted by Tony Stark– Trump is gonna run… and he will take Obama down before he gets started.

If you don’t understand how the law works and get hung up on bits and pieces of it you’ll just have to wait and see how this enfolds… fair enough?

The best example I can give you is the Impeachment of BC. What caught him up in the end? Do you know?

  376. I wish I had faith, but I don’t; this will be pushed under the rug, honestly if there was no internet, we wouldn’t even know that there are millions who think like us and have figured out this lie.

Do I have faith this will be resolved? No. Unfortunately no. Every patriot who died for the founding of this country, what was it for? we are slowly seeing the very principles it was founded on go down the toilet. It makes me very sad, not for me, but for the next generation, and those that will come after them, very sad indeed.

Donald Trump isn’t going to be pushing anything under the rug. He is a muckraker and TG he is willing to rake up all the muck Obama has been hiding. The People are getting stronger everyday. They have had enough of Obama worship… as soon as a story breaks now that Obama has surrendered his BC it’s game on-

I doubt this revelation will need the Supreme Court. It will be on Congress to remove him.

  378. But the definition of NBC has not been constitutionally, legally defined. There are plenty of people, with their own interpretation of legal decisions, that say that an NBC is someone born here – that’s it. If NBC had a universally, legally accepted definition, he would never have been allowed to run in the first place. They got away with it because it’s murky. And therefore I don’t believe that they can prove that he lied – he could say he was answering in line with what he understood NBC to mean.

Like Bill Clinton – he said he “did not have sex with that woman” – I think he thought he was telling the truth, because he did not think of oral sex as “sex” – only intercourse. To him, he had intimate relations, but not sex. But other people define “sex” more broadly.

Obama and his handlers are slippery. I think they thought this stuff out. I just don’t think anything can be done until the Supreme Court gives someone standing, and then comes up with a legal definition of NBC. But there’s no guarantee they will decide that NBC is what we all learned growing up.

  379. “You got sucked down the rabbit hole for a little while basil9. You needed to come out for some pink air.’

    😯 And pink smelling salts.

But, honestly, damage was inflicted on Trump. I’m just not sure who it was directed at more – the repubs, those mealy-mouthed bland RINOS who didn’t want to deal with Donald from the start?

Or maybe I am just so horrified by the kamikaze crusade against him, like they wanted to take him out with one shot. I hope like he11 Trump’s got some powerful smackdowns planned.

And more than ever I want to see Mighty Mouth dethroned.

OTOH, interesting discussion of the NBC issue. I wish like he11 it could be used to take the fothermucker out.

  380. If you don’t understand how the law works and get hung up on bits and pieces of it you’ll just have to wait and see how this enfolds… fair enough?

I didn’t say I don’t understand any of how the law works, just that I haven’t taken legal classes. I do know the law is a lot about interpretation, so even people who have taken law classes – even people who actually have a LAW DEGREE – disagree on this issue. So I imagine everyone has to wait – no one has the corner on this prediction. Fair enough?

  381. Mrs. Smith, if you have taken law classes, then you should know that standing is a separate issue from evidence. If someone isn’t granted standing, then the evidence isn’t ever going to be examined.

  382. It is hilarious to watch Obama and his bought and paid for whores in big media–like Tapper, to pretend that Obama is responsible for the elimination of Osama. They make it appear as if he spearheaded the project, gave the kill order and zappo Bin Ladin is communing with 23 virgins. Anyone with an I-Q over 50 knows the sociopathic Obama was leading from the rear as he always does–which is to say he was present and nothing more. Intelligence officers brought him the hit plan on a silver platter, and all they asked for was a simple yes or no. That took five meetings to get an answer from the sociopath–those damned golf projects kept interfering cause a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. And finally, when the hit was confirmed, the sociopath gave us a clear sense of his petty vindictive nature, by timing his speech to pre-empt Donald Trump’s show. I do not think the American People are fooled by Obama. Not at this point.
