A Mess-iah For Labor And Health

Still making excuses for Obama the Mess-iah, some on the so-called “left” are finally admitting we at Big Pink have been right all along. They don’t say so exactly but they are finally admitting that Obama and the whole thug “movement” he represents is simply a cult of personality.

Here’s Joe Conosen admitting that indeed the entirety of what the “left” lionized as “Obamaism” is simply worship of “Dear Leader”.

The essence of President Obama’s problem can be found in an anonymous quote, attributed to a White House official, that appeared on the front page of the New York Times last Wednesday. “It’s so important to get a deal,” confided the unnamed aide, that the president “will do almost anything it takes to get one.” Such desperate confessions of politics as usual, which have appeared in dozens of such remarks in the press over the past several months, not only serve the president poorly but damage the fresh brand that he brought to Washington after his triumphant election last year. They are the residue of an ill-conceived strategy that has left Obama politically vulnerable, attenuated his connection with loyal progressives, and blurred his most important message.

That message was Obama himself, of course — meaning what he represented and what he meant to accomplish. From the outset of the 2008 campaign, the rationale for his long-shot candidacy was that he stood firmly for a set of principles in policy and governance and against political business as usual, as well as a style of politics that emphasized citizen activism. He would drive the corporate lobbyists away from Capitol Hill, the White House and the federal agencies. He would insist on transparency and integrity in conducting the people’s business. Above all, he would pursue the public interest forthrightly rather than inch forward triangularly and incrementally.

It was always about Obama. Conosen tries to excuse support for Obama by saying that Obama “represented” something and that he meant to “accomplish” something. But Obama has always represented the most corrupt, smooth-talking elements of Chicago thug politics and “what he meant to accomplish” was always self-advancement. To say Obama represented anything else is simply dishonest.

Conosen pleads “no contest” for the Dimocrats who supported Obama but it is still a “guilty” plea:

Perhaps none of these happy promises was likely to be fulfilled, and perhaps that was something Obama and his campaign aides always understood. But as the new White House came to terms with the realities of Washington, they seem to have thrown off their original images and ideals insouciantly — as if unburdening themselves of unfashionable baggage that embarrassed them in the big city.

In the same way that Gay “leaders” have betrayed the Gay community, in the way that Jewish “leaders” have betrayed the Jewish community, in the same way that mainline women groups have betrayed women, Labor “leaders” are now betraying the union movement and all those promises about health care.

The Teamsters are leading the way to capitulation on what was once a “must have”:

Teamsters President James Hoffa said dropping the so-called public option wouldn’t be a “deal killer” for health-care legislation, signaling a split among leaders of unions that are a core constituency of President Barack Obama.

SEIU will be the next to put Obama worship over the interests of their own members.

This Labor Day union “leaders” can celebrate the 9.7% unemployment numbers and the prospect of their rise along with their Mess-iah.

Once again we hear the whining pretend “left” whining again. But Obama is their mess, not ours. Dimocrats own Obama. Not since Ahab was latched by harpoon ropes to Moby Dick has such an unholy union been wedded so disastrously.

Dimocrats cannot plead ignorance. We warned them and they hate us for it. Last year in The Mess-iah Complex we wrote:

The Obama worship crowd is upset with us in part because we are not accepting of their Mess-iah. We are not worshiping at the altar. No pink incense is burned in tribute.

The Obama worship crowd is also upset with us because we recently wrote Obama, who strategically employed “change”, is the third Bush term – just as inexperienced, only more grandiose and with even more messianic delusions.

Why did we support Hillary over the Mess-iah? We told them a long time ago, in 2007 (The Obama Delusion):

We support Hillary because we do see the great dangers ahead and the dangers we are in. We want Hillary because she has the experience and the fortitude to navigate through the perils we face. We support Hillary because we feel the urgency to reverse course NOW. Hillary shares our progressive vision for America. Hillary will represent a new American face to the world. And Hillary will fight the very people Obama has already surrendered to.

That was written in 2007. Dimocrats have no excuses. Labor has no excuses. Health care advocates have no excuses. Their Mess-iah is a false prophet who has taken them from the land of milk and honey into the abyss.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

    Amen! Well said, Admin!

    Play it again, Sam.
And again and again and again.

  3. Hillary all along showed that she was a centralists, and they behaved as though that was a betrayal. OO is failing because now he wants to be a centralists and really cannot figure out how to do that without betraying everything he was elected for. Hillary knew one important factor, that you have to live with your promises. OO thought the koolaid drinkers would forget about the promises.

  4. Admin: if you had asked me, I would have told you this is what Hoffa and Stern would do. Capitulate union principles for the sake of political expediency. Universal health insurance is as much a union principal as the eight hour work day. In the Teamsters case, the carrot is the lifting of the Federal Government Trusteeship which was imposed under a Consent Decree in 1988, in response to a government indictment brought by then US Attorney for the Southern District of New York alleging among other things that the Teamster Leadership (prior to Hoffa Jr.) had entered into a “devils pact” with La Cosa Nostra (the Mafia).

  5. ONE STAFF MEETING SINCE HE WAS ELECTED. Since he never really had a staff before, or a complex organization to run, he does not understand the importance of having those. I guess he thinks that the Czars will go off and do magically whatever it is that will make him look like the Messiah.

Unfortunately he does not wear a white robe, and even that guys desciples detrayed him.

  6. What surprises me is that there is not more bitterness by progressives toward Barack. That is the normal human response to betrayal by a loved one. It is either this whiny la mott crap, or else this come back little sheeba horseshit. Next time you have a breach of contract case, try the “I blurred my message” and see how well that one works. What a complete lying jackass that Conosen is. Hey Joe–wake up–he fucked you Joe–deal with it.

  7. Brilliant post Admin on this Labor Day Weekend –

Pointing out all the many groups of “sell-outs” did bear repeating, as our nation ironically “celebrates” the most compromised of all Labor Days since the Great Depression, numbers going beyond 1983 unemployment figures, joblessness continuing to grow with no end in sight. This is what BHO wanted and aimed to accomplish all along – to destroy America, like Ayers, Wright, Jones, Axelrod, Pelosi, Reid et al.

Absolutely astute in putting this square on the backs of the Judas card-carrying “Dimocratic” Party that STOLE the nomination and presidency from Hillary.

What we are witnessing is a collosal CATASTROPHE (realize no love lost between Dick Morris and the Clintons – but hey, the guy nailed this one on BHO) that can be laid at the feet of hopium-addicted youth and idealistic “Utopian” Indys, but most of all – betrayers within the Democratic Party.

The Dimocrats are responsible for the record deficits, the Dimocrats are responsible for the federal take-over of the financial and auto industry; the Dimocrats are responsible for the “in-the-works” premature demise via single-payer deathcare system of all of our parents, grandparents, children, and all of us; the Dimocrats are responsible for the 30+ Czars that now run all of our lives; the Dimocrats are responsible for the Socialist and Communist leapfrog over what was already a frail Democracy owned by Lobbyists.

So for all the “Dimocrats” out there – celebrate your Mess-iah and swap stories about “what went wrong”. Come up with a new story-line other than race cards, because that DOG WON’T HUNT. I know, how about admitting that you ALL scred up when you screwed Hillary over. Too much pride to admit error? Continue your slide into oblivion then and pat your own selves on the back for creating your own soup-line and loss of insurance coverage/healthcare.

Like Dr. Phil’s famous line – now addressed to the gay, Jewish, and labor “leaders” –

Now listen for the “shot heard ’round the world”. THAT is the cry of the REAL Democrats, along with Independents, and yes – even moderate Republicans, AND including those BIG enough to admit error on voting for BHO, who are DETERMINED TO TURN THIS DISASTER INTO the beginning of the salvation of America.

Bottoms up Dimocrats, as you bottom out.

  8. Admin. You are the only political commentator out there who has been right on Obama from the beginning.

On the point I was making yesterday, about Obama being a front man, and the parasite looking for a new host, I found this comment on another site. I know Horowitz personally, brought him into an event years ago, and had breakfast with him the following day. At that time he had an organization called The Center for The Study of Individual Rights and Personal Responsibility of Los Angeles–which is a mouthful. He is a former communist and a god that failed guy. The only drawback is he is not a Hillary fan.

Interestingly, Beck asked Horowitz (I will paraphrase here) whether Horowitz thought that Obama is the Architect of this new Democrat party or the Anointed One.

Horowitz replied that Obama is more just the Anointed One — in other words, the “front man” or the one who delivers the pitch.

Horowitz seems to think that Obama’s handlers, supporters, are the “brains” behind the movement, not Obama.

I have always thought that myself. While Obama is “bright enough,” I think it is clear that he is just doing the bidding of his financial backers who are calling the shots in line with their own ideological agenda.

  9. When Obama fails the Democratic Party will have to undergo chemotherapy to rid itself of the Obama cancer. Otherwise, the patient will die.

  10. Awhile back bots proclaimed we won our work is done. Then they were cast aside, frozen out, and displaced by big business, and big unions. Simply put, they are not part of the governing coalition. Their role is to throw confetti when the chariots pass, worship at his feet and spread the gospel. That is the role of a sucker, someone who has been had, and will be laughed at by the very people they worshipped. That is how it always happens and this case is no exception.

  11. While in the inner bowels of the Dim party, there were always the long term players that kept saying, what are we going to do with this grass roots group after he is elected. Just the way the inner group came in and claimed the delegate positions from the grass roots people at our state convention was telling. You are right, it is like they take them for suckers, and then throw them aside and say, we run the party, go home.

  12. I wonder if Obama has an executive order on his desk authorizing people to bow down and worship him anytime day or night even if it holds up traffic and commerce. I suspect he does. Did you happen to notice how all of big media except for FOX has stepped forward to carry his health care hyperventillation. Predictable.

  13. Another comment from that site:

Peggy Noonan said it well, the speech on health care will be hard to pull off:

But the great mass of Americans, the big center, will, I strongly suspect, not be listening. Mr. Obama has grown boring. And it’s not Solid Boring, which is fine in a president and may be good. It’s sort of Faux Eloquent Boring, especially on health care. The president likely doesn’t know this, and his people won’t have told him because they don’t know it either, but Mr. Obama always has the same sound, approach, logic, tone, modulation. He always has the same stance. There’s no humor or humility in it. News is surprise, and he never makes news.

  14. So. The ones who supported Obama, with Obama being the one who would morph into whatever anybody wanted, are now morphing into supporters of what Obama has turned out to be.
A very long time ago I read this Karl Rove assessment: Obama is smart but lazy. I believe it, but Karl should also have noted that O is without moral content.
As far as Obama being Bush, I think he is less than Bush. GWB, having spent some time in the WH when his father was there, and having occupied a governor’s chair for a bit, at least understood someting about the office he held. He knew that he was The Decider.
Finally, GWB is lacking, IMO, but not morally void.

  15. Am I missing something? Is David Letterman funny? Take a look at the comments in the left hand column. I find him and John Stewart two of the most boring people in the universe. Purgatory would be to get stuck on a desert island with those two without earplugs for all of eternity.

  16. So. The ones who supported Obama, with Obama being the one who would morph into whatever anybody wanted, are now morphing into supporters of what Obama has turned out to be.
No. That is not what I am seeing. I am seeing bitter disappointment with a stiff upper lip. If you are talking about Hoffa and Stern that is different. They are like a Republican businessman I know who has forsworn his conservative principles because he is dancing with the devil. The brand obama types cannot let go of the illusions. But the thinking progressives are wise to him and they aint morphing, that I can see. Take a look at the position of Move on–no trigger. Listen to progressive talk show host Mike Malloy: if he does not deliver uhc we are done with him. That is what I think is happening now.

  17. Who would have thought it would have come down to Deliver UHC (and gain the voters back), or don’t and get money to try to be re-elected. I don’t think he has ever had a tough decision like this before.

  18. Let me give you one more example of what I am saying. There is a state court judge in this town who a friend of mine knows well. This judge is a mid intellect type of guy–not a Judge Holmes, but not a Roy Bean either, better looking than Sontemeyer worse looking than Judge Marilyn Milion. It is almost worth committing a misdeanor to get her in courtroom but we digress. The judge I am talking about is a democrat who spends alot of time complaining that he is not making enough money and wishes he was back in private practice–hardly an uncommon complaint. The one thing he loved however was Barack Obama. He proclaimed Bambis virtues and told everyone it would be a new heaven and a new earth. Well now he is glum, sullen and unresponsive on that issue. Mention the name Obama and he says I do not want to talk about it. Press him a little and he blows up. My friend likes to press him and watch the vesuvian eruption. I know this is antecdotal not statistical evidence, but to me it is further proof that the bloom is off the rose.

  19. Who would have thought it would have come down to Deliver UHC (and gain the voters back), or don’t and get money to try to be re-elected. I don’t think he has ever had a tough decision like this before.
New Mexico: I think it is significant that he elected to invest his political capital in this issue rather than job creation.

Politically speaking, it makes no sense. If he had written his own bill on job creation and gone to the mat on it, he would be a hero now. Instead, he invests in universal health care, which defaults to health insurance reform, which defaults to this conundrum of who do I cheat.

But from a radical agenda standpoint it makes perfect sense. And so does putting a black revolutionary in charge of green jobs, which also makes no sense politically speaking. And so does the whole czar structure, the takeover the dnc and the movement of the 51st Ward in Chicago into the White House.

  20. The other mistake he made was trying to do health care in one big bill rather than proceeding incrementally. If the goal is health care it makes no sense. If the goal is a government take over of 1/8 of our economy pursuant to a radical agenda then it makes perfect sense.

  21. NMF 10:13, One staff meeting since he was inaugurated! In my little Radiology dept. of 5 people we are required by JCH (hospital accredation) to have a dept. meeting once a month. So we know this idiot is lazy. My guess he telling each of his czars and secretaries different thing so he doesn’t want them all together.

  22. But then they flashed the money in front of him and he thought about 2012 and said if I can move these contributors over to my side, then I can get reelected in 2012, and then I can press the radical agenda with impunity during the first two years of my second term–2012-2014.

  23. wbboei

There is an old saying: Don’t Put the Cart before the Horse, meaning you needed to do something and successfully matriculate your first term before you worry about the second.

In fact, if you had made the right steps, you don’t have to look for support as it will be there.

  24. wbboei, you may call it faux eloquent boring, but I had a delicious chat with some fishermen and they called it high-falutin bullshit from from a freakin phoney. I don’t know anybody who watches his TV speeches anymore.

By the way, I got an email from Ed O’Reilly (he ran against Kerry last time and as we know lost). He wants to know if we think he should make a run for the Kennedy seat. Here is my answer:

I and my friends were so FOR you when you ran against Kerry! We’ve got to get rid of those autocrats who don’t even know what gov of by and for the people MEANS!

We are so angry at the Dem party for the way they manipulated the last election to give us that empty suit for a president, we shall NEVER forgive them for that. I plan to vote only for Indie candidates I trust and NEW Dems who seem to know the meaning of public service. I think you are one of those Dems who do mean well. Whether you are strong enough to stand against the corrupt old boys club, I don’t know, but if you do run, I and my friends will do all we can to help support you.

Washington is a sewer — the only way to clean it up is with new blood which has been carefully vetted by every voting citizen. Damn the lazy clubbers who think we exist for their benefit instead of realizing they work for us, the people, not the damned corporatists!

Massachusetts deserves a senator who talks with the people and for the people, not AT them. The Kerry/Kennedy elitism has got to go. Massachusetts has lost its memory of the kind of statesmanship that rose out of Massachusetts to build this country. John Adams et al would weep bitterly if they could see what has become of the government they created for us.

Personally, I am one hell of an angry citizen this past year and I just keep getting angrier and angrier with every day’s new developments. I wish I could say I trust you and say it with no reservations, but I have learned not to trust ANYONE in politics. Yet, I do want to believe there are still patriots in public life, and I want to believe that you, Ed O’Reilly, can stand for the spirit of Massachusetts in our rotting government.

Thanks for giving me a chance to let you know what’s on my mind.

RUN, Ed, and BE STRONG, be our MAN OF THE PEOPLE!”

  25. Arrogance…Audacity…

this puppet king and his masters think whatever he/they say/touch must be so, must be accepted as gospel, must be adhered to by his now American citizen slaves of all nationalities.

They are in shock. How dare anyone oppose their edicts? How dare anyone say that bambi’s gospel is a complete lie?

This weekend, Camp David must be:

1/ A very solemn place where obama dumpty’s horses and men can’t figure out how to put him together again.

2/ A place where the koolaid is stronger than ever, denial is the password of the day, and “is anyone left that we can throw under the bus now” theories flying left and right.

  26. wbboei, you may call it faux eloquent boring, but I had a delicious chat with some fishermen and they called it high-falutin bullshit from from a freakin phoney. I don’t know anybody who watches his TV speeches anymore.
I think that was Noonan. Intellectually he is boring. But I am inclined to accept the fishermans view of Obama. I spent a decade working around them, and people like Obama who peddle bullshit around them end up in Davey Jones locker.

  27. I could never watch Obambi pressers. But, I would be willing to watch Gibbs if they could take that canned laughter they turn on whenever Stewart says something boring or stupid and play it every time Gibbs opens his ignorant mouth and sputters out some non responsive answer.

  28. massachusetts fishermen … and they think O’Reilly understands their problems because he was a fisherman. As well as I understand it, one of their burdens is that heavy limits have been set for them yet fishermen come up from the south to northern waters and take what they want — the limits don’t apply to the southerners.
O’Reilly is a lawyer but he has been a fireman and fisherman, too.

  29. Same way with the Canadians.

My experience was in Alaska. Mostly Scandanavians, Middle Europeans and native fishermen. We had a few Gloustermen, and they were very good fishermen, not afraid of heavy weather. Tight control on fishing both from quota and limited entry standpoint by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

  30. Here’s a thought from an Obama supporter’s blog:

Obama supporter: refuse to vote for a bill without the public option

    From http://p-zeitgeist.livejournal.com/88443.html#cutid1
First, we need as many of the House democrats as we can get, and at a minimum the ones who’ve committed in public to doing so, to go right on refusing to vote for any bill that doesn’t contain that strong public option.
They’re going to need to break the thing into chunks, and they’re going to need to use reconciliation to get the public-option piece through with a simple majority.

  31. Fishermen are rugged individualists. They would see Bambi as a green horn, a collectivist and have nothing to do with him.

If Pelosi and Reid do that then Bambi, Rhambo and Grease LLC will have some splain’n to do to big business. Uh, uh, uh . . . . V-A-C-A-T-I-O- N/

  34. Ho ho ho what bambi hath wrought. Is there anything more wonderful in life than to be a public official, and to be micromanaged by your constituents. Of course when you tell them you are the Messiah, tell them things are a chang’n, their time has come and you will not merely listen to their views but will enact them into law, what else should he expect. Its beautiful. I am glad I do not have to sit in that war room.

Unfortunately his answer is easy: deliver something LABELED UHC with something labeled a public option — just have the fine print really favor his big donors.

Some of his base may see through this, but the large public who listen to him will be deceived or discouraged. Unless someone makes a LOT of noise, now….

WEll, but it will be several years before the public discovers that the health thing was a sham, and some people may never discover that unless they get sick.

Jobs happen now, they can’t be faked. We can already see that his job efforts didn’t work.

Obama Has Failed to Answer the Difficult Questions
    By William Murchison

They’re all over him — swarms, flocks, flights of critics taking apart President Obama: his style, his motives, his modus operandi, assuming he has one.

Charles Krauthammer, in a dead-on column, called him “Obama the Mortal.” Peggy Noonan, in the Wall Street Journal, sought to close the deal: “Obama has grown boring … He always has the same stance. There is no humor or humility in it … He is cold …” Cries of alarm escaped the mouth of Time Magazine’s Joe Klein: “He has to lead, clearly and decisively, starting now.” How’s he going to restore his sagging popularity and procure enactment of health care reform?

Well, we’ll see. There’s a lot more out there to look at, even so. What we see, when we really look hard, are the consequences of celebrity politics. In naming Obama their chief magistrate, American voters handed over their credit cards for a pig in a poke — as, by the way, they had been warned along the way to avoid doing. They no more knew how Obama would perform, than they knew why real estate prices were collapsing.

They knew he wasn’t George W. Bush, and that was a good start. They thought they sensed even more — wit, intellectual brilliance, the ability to coax birds out of trees (and, inferentially, to coax votes out of hard-headed congressional bulls). He would bring us together as one people despite persistent differences over, just to name one thing, racial relationships. He would challenge us, prod us, heal us, change us.

We swooned dead away. What a guy! The media said so with stale regularity. Wasn’t it true? If not, why did they keep saying it? Meanwhile the crowds swarmed around, loving what they saw.

This poker in a poke — to borrow E. B. White’s celebrated phrase — was obviously “some pig.” He had no political track record to speak of. He’d never met a payroll, never passed an important bill, never administered anything larger than a senatorial office. Still, couldn’t the guy speak? Yes, he could, even when you count reading a teleprompter as speaking. He was new, he was different, the media loved him, the Democrats (including Ted Kennedy) came to concur, and, well, there was no end to it.

He was a celeb: in some sense the political equivalent of Brad and Angelina and Leo and Kate and Jon and Jessica and Simon and … and … you get it. Far more intelligent, of course — how many aren’t? Maybe nicer as well. Still, a celeb — new and hot and mysterious. And we bit.

You could tell at the Democratic National Convention what was afoot. That Hollywood set the party constructed for him — the Temple of Obama, Republicans called it. The Republicans, who were about to nominate an old warhorse as opposed to a young colt, knew what was coming at them and cannily inserted Sarah Palin into the proceedings. But the financial collapses x-ed out that gambit.

Such is electoral politics in the age of Omnipresent Media. A candidate has to wow ’em — make ’em laugh, hope, cry, dream. Alas for the process, the candidate, once chosen, has to have some idea of what he’s doing. We can likely all agree that Barack Obama had and has some idea as to what he would like to do. Or is it safer to say “some vision”?

Obama has failed, fairly dismally so far, to match interior vision with exterior reality. How do we come up with an extra trillion dollars to finance a federal health care takeover, and why are we even talking about it with deficits soaring? And how do you convince 300 million people in a matter of months that the health care system that most find acceptable is a ruin and wreck in need of replacement? Those would be just a few of the questions crying out for answers, which our celebrity-in-chief may or may not bring us in coming days.

A McCain voter feels a confession coming on: an odd but necessary one. The confession is that he feels more than a little sorry for Barack Obama, a president seemingly in over his head at a moment of exquisite need for a pro, a vet, a warhorse if you will.

for many of us, the time was needed for the strong woman that was pushed aside…now she stands tall and strong on the international stage…

  38. Fisherman is suppose to the the most dangerous profession out their, so my hat is off to them.
It is. Dangerous in Alaska, the Grand Banks, Hatteras. A friend of mine who I am having dinner with tonight has been writing a book about the ordeal her father went through off the Oregon coast, and they are doing a Coast Guard ceremony on it.

When the crab fishery exploded in the early 1970s it was like a gold rush. People with no experience in those treacherous waters invested in flat bottom Bender boats suitable for the calmer waters of the Gulf of Mexico. They hired rookie crew who came with no experience only a pair of hip boots. I do not remember the exact numbers now, but we lost well over 100 vessels in the Dutch Harbor fishery and the Kodiak fishery. The waves would get as high as 80 feet and if you were caught out in them in a flat bottom boat you would the laws of nautical engineering guaranteed you would turn over. No survivors. The perils of the grand banks fishery are well recounted in the movie A Perfect Storm. Later, we started building vessels with a contoured bottom and a higher meticeter which gave the vessel a better righting moment, so it could take a wave, roll 60 degrees and still recover. Navy destoyers of the DD and DE class are built to do that. Still it is as you say a dangerous profession. The other problem is the human element. Crab boat captains you do business with and have a beer with in port, can turn into death larson when they get out on the fishing grounds after sleep deprivation.

  39. Obama Has Failed to Answer the Difficult Questions
    By William Murchison

Murchison assumes that Obama was sincere. The picture is much simpler if we look at the results and apply cui bono. His apparent floundering has left the decisions in the hands of his big donors, who have paid themselves. The donors get what they want, the Republicans get the blame.

Of course it’s possible that some of the insincerity belongs to someone other than Obama himself, some of his handlers. But he’s shown so much vicious dishonesty, it’s hard to give him much slack.

  40. …not to be redundant, but when O starts to lose ‘Countdown’/KO and E Robinson and KO are verbally threatening to endorse someone to run against O in 2012…even if it is a ploy…the fact that his adoring media is getting that frustrated and verbalizing it on tv (note that utube clip in thread below) …add that to the repubs that are not holding back at all…the curtain has been pulled back…

    O is exposed…

  41. S, remember he has 3 and 1/2, but really until 2010 to right himself. The problem with that is the following. In my professional career, most people take a job, and do the parts of it they like, and make the parts they do not like unimportant. If hiring people have chosen well, then the parts they like work well with the priority of the job.

However, more times than I could count, that priority did not mess, and what resulted was a mess. However, the people selecting could not admit they were wrong, so the righting of the wrong only happen when a new boss came in, and said, hay, who hired you? You are not doing the job as I see it.

So in this case, the boss is the American voter. The Dims will not admit he was wrong, the Reps will not admit he was right. It is up to the Independence to see if this group has enough honest introspect, and fortitude to say. WHAT WAS I THINKING.

We must counter the MSM and its sponsers to marginalize and destroy Hillary. She is our only hope as we watch BO and 90% of our legislators self destruct 24/7.
BO has told us many times over just what his plans are for us and our democracy.Doesn’t his “Legacy of Restitution and Retribution sound like old hat?You all heard it day in and day out and you didn’t care or did not understand. My friends that was the race card being introduced to you but meant for only his black supporters and Czars to close ranks. They are the private army he has touted and they will be well armed with the weapons he wants to legalize again. This brain wash he has planned for the school children is again also for his Obama Jugend just as Adolph assembled and put them to use along the German highways and they threw potato masher grenades as we called them.Think it’s a joke?Guess again these fairhaired young tykes in shorts an carrying book bags were deadly.Think it cannot happen here?It is now happening in our inner cities and many are dying.Drug dealers and juvenile couriers on bikes at 3am paying the price for BO’s empowerment agenda.
Do not give him the attention he needs and craves and he will wither away as he breaks emotionaly.

The media wasn’t either. A three year free ride has turned him into an I can get away with anything kind of freak, and in that mode he made promises he cannot deliver. Gestault therapy.

  45. Another stellar post, Admin.
    Excellent observations above.

FWIW- I covered two town halls this week, one by the local Repub Assemblyman and one by Congressman Scott Murphy. Both were heavily attended with a vocal audience. At both, the issues were the same; healthcare, jobs, taxes and the economy.

Today, Murphy was stunned at the SRO crowd in the sleepy town of East Durham. Over 200 packed into a room built for 100. He was equally taken aback by the passion and some of the unexpected questions, including one about his view of Van Jones. He couldn’t get out of there fast enough, citing another town hall as an excuse to escape after only one hour. The audience was not happy.
    I’m just saying.

Sure some hardcore progressives see the flaws in a phoney placebo health bill and will fight. (Good for them, me too.)

But will they be heard with the media bought by the big insurers and pharma and pushing for the bill?

The larger group of low information voters won’t catch on till the health care bill goes in effect in a few years — or longer if they don’t get sick.

But if they’ve lost their job right now, they’re informed about THAT. Harder to fake job recovery.

  47. Well said and oh so true, ABM.

“It’s Obama Jugend just as Adolph assembled and put them to use along the German highways and they threw potato masher grenades as we called them.Think it’s a joke?Guess again these fairhaired young tykes in shorts an carrying book bags were deadly.Think it cannot happen here?It is now happening in our inner cities.”

I saw it happening BEFORE BO and I can only imagine how much worse it must be now in the urban trenches. Now, in retrospect, I understand how the groundwork for this has been in the making for a decade or more. Every day I am thankful to have gotten out of there.

  48. When guys like Murchison and frankly some of my progressive friends cite Olberman as a legitimate voice of the left I wonder what they are talking about. Olberman is a 24/7 scumbag on automatic pilot who never had an original thought of his own. He is just bought and paid for a sewage pipe for the bile that comes out of msnbc. To impute intelligence, wisdom, intellectual honesty to this bastard is pure self delusion. He is a crank.

Those people never catch on. They are the suckers for the next lie, and the one after that, and the one after that. There is no reaching them–ever.

  52. Keep humming alternating soundtracks to Mission Impossible and James Bond’s original score. The behind-the-scenes dictates occuring as we blog have to be absolutely mind-numbing. Wonder how many representatives from Bilderberg, the Illuminati, and the Chicago Mob have converged at Camp David……oh to be a member of the SS. Personally, feel like the REAL BIG “wag-the-dog” time is being decided and will begin in the VERY near future…..

Syndicates will be ordered to ramp up the Swine Flu (erroneous) deaths, and the round-ups for “vaccinations” to “save you” and quarantines may begin…read where there was a conference in D.C. couple of weeks ago addressing the takeover – martial law – whatever you want to call it. This “crisis” will allow The One to also take over the internet and the rest is history.

We mere, mortal members of Angry Mobs and Would-be Secessionists are really pesky creatures, aren’t we? So busy going about our daily lives, mostly oblivious to what waits just around the corner. Armed with only our free voices for the moment and ability to communicate for perhaps only a short time longer, we might should also get real names and addresses of like-minded people. Because once Big Brother pulls the plug, not only are we screwed, but more “cut-off” than any of us could imagine. Swine Flu is it.

I know I sound like some sort of conspiracy theorist. Good. Because I mean every single word.

In case this nurse hasn’t told you before – DO NOT TAKE THE SWINE FLU VACCINE VOLUNTARILY. It is designed to kill you. Period. Albeit slowly, unless Guillian-Barre develops within days. Read about the adjuvants and you will see. Simply put, this bioterrism is about to be unleashed with the sole purpose of wiping out masses of civilization. Plain and simple. Read about Jane Burgermeister’s whistle-blowing and lawsuit against ALL the powers that be. Survivalist supplies aren’t for the whacked-out any longer. While others watch American Idol and Dancing With the Stars, we at Big Pink are aware of the “grandest orchestration ever” now underway: the fast-forward push for the New World Order – now front and center.

Guess I’ll go crawl back in my cave for now and watch this whole thing unfold. Meanwhile, might as well enjoy this long weekend – ending with a local Tea Party happening on Monday, Labor Day. So, other than thinking about a “crisis looming on the horizon”, and humming my spy theme songs, I’ll go back to reading Atlas Shrugged (again) for obvious reasons. Sure means more now (Ayn Rand brilliant visionary) than it did when an impressionable youth who viewed it only as a good work of fiction.

  54. The progressives are still too besotted with BO to really take him to task for all of his back-peddling and shenanigans so far. Unfortunately, the “public option” they’re fighting for is a trojan horse — i.e. it is another corporate boondoggle in that it will mandate all to buy insurance without lowering health insurance costs. Indeed, it will be another Medicare Part D cash-cow for the insurers and drug companies.

NMF, where did you read or see this, about his single staff meeting?

  56. I just got back from the emergency room, my husband nearly severed his thumb on the table saw. He also cut open his 4th and 5th digit. He’s ok and there wasn’t enough tissue to suture up, but he’s fine. I do however have some insight about the healthcare costs that was brought to my attention while I was there.

The Dr, a friend, gave me the “throw away suture scissors”, he said they cost $55.00. This little pair of scissors are throw away and each patient uses new ones and then they are thrown away. Think about how much money this is, the enviroment, and whose pocket we are greasing! There used to be something called in hospital sterilization, but now they use the $55.00 ones.

Also while I was there my daughter is the ultrasound tech there and she was called in to perform a pelvic ultrasound. While there the ordering physician told her that medicare/medicaid only allowed so many ultrasounds during a single pregnancy, but that makes him have to lie to get more.

Also while at work last week I did a CT scan of an abdomen for upper abdominal pain. It was clear the patient had a huge gallstone. The report came back stating there was a galstone, but recommended an ultrasound as that is the test for gallstones. THe stone was huge, the ultrasound would have only cost the patient and/or the insurance more. Radiologist routinely recommend further testing to fatten their pocketbooks and if the primary care physician doesn’t do it and theres a bad outcome the primary physician is libel.

Folks this is WHY healthcare is out of control. THe administrative costs alone would pay for those without insurance now.

Gordon Brown vetoed Libyan payout to IRA victims

GORDON BROWN personally vetoed an attempt to force Colonel Muammar Gadaffi to compensate IRA bomb victims because it might have jeopardised British oil deals with Libya.

Documents passed to The Sunday Times reveal how the prime minister took a close interest in a campaign to secure payouts for the 2,500 families of those blown up by the Libyan-supplied Semtex explosive used by republican bombers.

However, Brown refused to help the victims because of government concerns that putting pressure on Gadaffi might lead to Libya withdrawing co-operation over trade and the war against Islamic terrorism.

The documents will cause embarrassment for Brown as he faces new questions over the early release of the convicted Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi.

In a further damaging twist, Jack Straw, the justice secretary, was last night accused by the Tories of misleading the public over the prime minister’s role in talks about the decision to free the terminally ill Libyan terrorist. The Sunday Times has established that Straw wrote to Brown warning the Libyans might block a multi-million-pound BP oil deal unless the bomber was released. The disclosure contradicts remarks Straw made in a newspaper interview published yesterday in which he insisted there had been “no paper trail” to No 10.

Campaigners claim the official letters about IRA compensation highlight the government’s preoccupation with trading relations with Libya at the expense of bomb victims.

A letter from Bill Rammell, then the Middle East minister, sent on November 6, 2008 to Jonathan Ganesh, who was injured in the 1996 Docklands bomb and now campaigns for IRA victims, states that oil contracts were a factor in the government’s failure to act. Rammell wrote: “Libya is now a vital partner for the UK in guaranteeing a secure energy future for the UK and is also a key partner in the fight against terrorism. While I recognise that this will be of little comfort to you, it is vital for the UK’s present and future security that this continues.”
Rammell again alludes to oil deals in a letter dated January 13 this year to Jeffrey Donaldson, the prominent Democratic Unionist MP: “Libya’s relations with the United Kingdom have developed in recent years to a point where we liaise in a number of wide-ranging areas including energy and counterterrorism.”

The letters also reveal that Brown was personally involved in the decision not to push Gadaffi on IRA compensation. Brown said in a letter to Jason McCue, the victims’ lawyer, dated October 7, 2008: “The UK government does not consider it appropriate to enter into a bilateral discussion with Libya on this matter.” Responding to claims that the government had been swayed by narrow commercial interests, Brown insisted that “trade” was not the “core reason” for his refusal to act over victims’ compensation.

However, in the letter he went on to acknowledge that it had been one of the factors: “While the UK-Libya relationship does indeed include trade, bilateral co-operation is now wide-ranging on many levels, particularly in the fight against terrorism. I believe it is in all our interests for this co-operation to continue.”

The lawyers acting for the IRA victims want Brown to put pressure on the Libyans to secure a US-style scheme for British terror victims. Separately, the Libyans had already paid out $2.7 billion (now £1.6 billion) to the families of the 270 who died in the Pan Am jet that exploded over Lockerbie.

Libya shipped Semtex and arms to the IRA for several years from 1985. Lawyers representing British victims have evidence that the Semtex was used in a series of IRA atrocities, including the Enniskillen bomb of 1987, the Manchester bomb in 1996 and several explosions in London.

Families of US victims caught up in IRA bomb blasts in London during the 1980s and 1990s have agreed multi-million-dollar payouts with Libya after the intervention of the White House. Some are in line for payments of up to $10m each. By contrast, British victims have received only modest compensation from the UK government, with some seriously injured people getting payouts of less than £3,000.

Ganesh, a security guard who was buried by the IRA bomb in the London financial district and saw two of his friends die in the attack, spoke of his anger at Brown’s refusal to act: “The government has done favours to the Libyans in return for oil deals.” He received no compensation and a friend who was brain-damaged in the blast received such a paltry payout that he still relies on his wife to care for him in his council flat.

Another IRA victim, Jim Dixon, 72, who was the most seriously injured person to survive the Enniskillen bomb, said: “It is all about money, money, money. People are not interested in the victims.”

Those familiar with the Gadaffi regime say the Libyans were surprised not to be pushed harder on the issue of IRA compensation during the discussions surrounding the release of Megrahi. “The Libyans were expecting to have to make some sort of gesture,” said one British source who has worked with the Libyan government.

McCue, a campaigning lawyer who was behind the civil action to prosecute the Omagh bombers, is married to Mariella Frostrup. the broadcaster. They are friends of the prime minister and his wife Sarah. But the letters suggest this was not enough to persuade Brown to change his decision over Libya. Brown’s November letter opens with the informal greeting “Dear Jason”, but concludes with a brush-off: “I know this is not what you will have been hoping to hear from me but I hope you can understand why I do not think it appropriate to take this matter further.”

McCue said yesterday: “I have great respect for Gordon Brown. However, I am disappointed he has chosen to follow the line taken by the Foreign Office which puts Britain’s commercial and energy interests above the interests of justice.”

Cabinet ministers yesterday faced further pressure to explain the complex Whitehall manoeuvrings that preceded the release of Megrahi. Yesterday Straw said Brown had nothing to do with his change of heart in December 2007 over whether Megrahi should be included in a prisoner transfer agreement (PTA) with Libya. “I certainly didn’t talk to the PM. There is no paper trail to suggest he was involved at all,” Straw said. However, after inquiries by The Sunday Times, an aide to Straw issued a statement admitting the justice secretary had, in fact, sent a minute “updating” Brown at a critical stage in the talks. “Jack updated the PM, foreign sec and others about the progress on the PTA in September 2007,” the statement said. “It was essentially an update — including on the Libyan desire to avoid exclusion for Megrahi — but pointed to continuing efforts to exclude Megrahi. He drew attention . . . to the importance of the PTA discussions to wider British interests, including trade.”

The minute was sent as Straw was beginning to change his stance on Megrahi’s release. A few weeks after it was sent to Downing Street, Straw wrote to Kenny MacAskill, the Scottish justice minister, telling him it was in the UK’s trade interests to agree to a Libyan request that Megrahi should be included in the PTA and allowed to return to Triploli.

Daniel Kawcynski, chairman of the all-party parliamentary group on Libya, said the interests of BP “should never trump the demands of justice for the victims of terrorism”.

A No 10 spokesman said: “Trade considerations were not a factor in the government’s decision not to enter into direct negotiations with Libya on this issue. The prime minister is sympathetic to the case put forward by the families of victims of IRA atrocities.”

  58. How plot to bomb Clinton in Kenya was foiled

    Saturday, September 5 2009

A group of terrorists operating from Somalia had planned three bomb attacks in Nairobi during the visit by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last month, the Sunday Nation can reveal.

A senior counter-terrorism official has recounted how the terrorists planned to stage simultaneous attacks at the Hotel InterContinental, the Kencom Bus Stage and the adjacent Hilton Hotel. Mrs Clinton stayed at the Hotel InterContinental during her visit.

The plan was hatched in Somalia and thwarted by Kenyan security officials who intercepted communication between the plotters and their accomplices in Nairobi. The security official – whose identity cannot be revealed without compromising antiterrorism operations – said that the terrorists linked to the Al Shabaab group had wanted to embarrass Kenyan and US governments but their plans were thwarted before the attackers could cross the border.

“The threats were neutralised a week to the Agoa meeting in combined efforts by the military and other security agencies,” the official said. “The operation in Nairobi netted five crucial suspects, one of whom carries Danish identification documents but is believed to be a Somali national. The other four, one of whom is a woman, hold Kenyan identification documents believed to be fake. Investigations into their identity and plan are on.” The official added: “While in the past the real target of the attacks has been Western interests, the Al Qaeda leadership has since made Kenya a new target. So serious is the threat that during the Agoa meeting, the Al Qaeda intended to strike at the heart of Nairobi during the rush hours.”

According to the security official, the masterminds of the attack were in contact with Mr Saleh Nabhan, one of the most wanted men by the FBI, and whose personal assistant, a man identified as Anas, is believed to have been coordinating the plan.

Mrs Clinton was in Nairobi in August to officiate at trade talks between her government and African countries courtesy of the African Growth and Opportunity Act, an American law that seeks to promote trade between the US and Africa. While in Nairobi, Mrs Clinton and her entourage were booked at Hotel InterContinetal. She arrived in the country on August 4 and left on August 7.

To reassure themselves, Kenyan security officials detailed officers from the elite presidential guard to her entourage. The streets around the hotel and those adjacent to the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, the venue of the meeting, had been closed to normal traffic as part of the security measures.

The information about the threat and what Kenyan security officials did to stop the deadly plans was shared with US security officials and has also been captured in a security dossier prepared for circulation in top security echelons.

The presence of Al Shabaab operatives in the country, the Sunday Nation learnt, is facilitated by helpers living mainly in Mombasa and Nairobi’s Eastleigh, South B, South C and Komarock estates.

Last month, Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Defence minister Yusuf Haji and Internal Security minister George Saitoti launched a public education programme in which political and religious leaders teamed up to discourage young men from North Eastern Province from recruiting into Al Shabaab.

Kenya has been in terrorism news since August 7, 1998 when bombers struck in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam killing close to 250 people and injuring close to 5,000. Later on November 29, 2002, terrorists struck in Mombasa, this time delivering a truckload of explosives to the Kikambala Paradise Hotel where they left 15 people dead. An attempt to bring down an Israeli jetliner which was taking off from the Moi International Airport failed. Counter-terrorism officials are now investigating how Somali nationals are bribing their way into government offices and acquiring Kenyan identification documents.

“This has made Kenyan travel documents to be subjected to serious scrutiny by foreign governments,” says a government security brief seen by the Sunday Nation. “More recently, the Al Shabaab/Al Qaeda operatives have sought to penetrate the Kenyan justice system by going to court to bar deportation of their associates.”

The dossier talks of judges and court clerks who have previously been bribed by operatives but does not name them. During her visit, one of Mrs Clinton’s concerns that she raised with Kenyan leaders was about Somalia and the threat of extremism posed by al Shabaab. While in Kenya, Mrs Clinton met with Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.

Barack Obama rattled as Afghan decision day approaches: The allied commander wants greater effort, but the war looks ever more likely to poison Barack Obama’s presidency

Entertaining a group of US historians at the White House this summer, President Barack Obama revealed that he was beginning to worry about Afghanistan and the prospect that his ambitious domestic agenda would come to be overshadowed by an unpopular and unwinnable war.

It was an odd moment for Obama to be preoccupied by foreign policy – he was in the middle of a ferocious congressional battle over healthcare reforms – yet his concern turned out to be prescient.

As he spends his Labor Day holiday weekend at the Camp David retreat in Maryland, Afghanistan is confronting him with what may prove the defining decision of his presidency. “It’s an issue he understands could be a danger to his administration,” said one of the historians who attended the presidential dinner.

The completion of a comprehensive strategy review by General Stanley McChrystal, the commander of US and other Nato forces in Afghanistan, has brought to boiling point a long-simmering stew of military, diplomatic and political conflicts over America’s faltering mission in Kabul.

Cracks are appearing in administration ranks as Taliban attacks, civilian casualties, allegations of fraudulent elections and plummeting US public support raise questions about what Obama insists is a “necessary war”. Joseph Biden, the vice-president, has expressed public doubts about a new US military build-up in Afghanistan, mainly on the grounds that it might destabilise Pakistan, whose nuclear arsenal makes it a more pressing US concern. Robert Gates, the Pentagon chief who has served both Obama and George W Bush, said last week the US effort in Kabul was “only now beginning”. Yet earlier this year he said he was “very sceptical” about increasing troop levels beyond the 68,000 due to be deployed by the end of 2009.

On the liberal wing of the Democratic party, Senator Russell Feingold of Wisconsin has been horrified by suggestions of a new troop build-up and last week called for a “flexible timetable” to withdraw US forces from Afghanistan. At the same time, Richard Holbrooke, the president’s special envoy to the region, has argued that more troops are essential to prevent the Taliban from regaining a foothold and allowing Al-Qaeda to rebuild a haven. Hillary Clinton, the secretary of state, has not commented on McChrystal’s review but was publicly sup-portive of Obama’s decision in February to send in more troops and has repeatedly emphasised the long battle ahead to root out extremism in the region. She is widely expected to endorse any request for a bigger force.

The rest of Washington’s national security establishment is equally divided over both the coalition’s military objectives and the dangers of a public backlash should the Pentagon fail to produce early victories after eight years of costly conflict. One poll last week showed that only 25% of Americans support increasing the number of troops. More than 40% now say they want to see troops coming home, up from 24% in February.

McChrystal’s review declared the situation to be “serious” but did not contain a specific request for military reinforcements. He insisted success was “achievable” but it required “a revised implementation strategy, commitment and resolve and increased unity of effort”.

A request for up to 40,000 more troops is nonetheless expected by the end of this month, when Obama will face a pivotal decision. Does he go all out with a military “surge” that might produce a measurable victory? Does he try to find a politically acceptable means of increasing combat forces – the so-called “trigger-pullers” – without too great a rise in overall numbers? Or does he order a halt to the carnage and blame it all on Bush?

For Bruce Riedel, a former presidential aide who led a panel of high-powered civilian strategists advising McChrystal, Obama must first answer two questions: “Can Afghanistan be stabilised with any amount of resources? Or is it just too little, too late?” For Anthony Cordesman, a military specialist who also sat on McChrystal’s panel, there may prove insuperable political barriers to any chance of military success. “There is very sharp pressure on General McChrystal…from the White House and National Security Council not to ask for specific additions in resources,” he said.

What McChrystal and most of his advisers agree is that last month’s elections have failed to provide the stable civilian platform that Afghanistan desperately needs. “Regardless of who wins, we will not have people capable of governing,” said Cordesman, who visited last month. “[President Hamid] Karzai is corrupt and lacks capacity. Abdullah Abdullah [his nearest challenger] has governed precisely nothing by way of a large-scale structure. If we are going to win this war, we are going to have to create capabilities at provincial and district level that do not today exist.”

Friday’s attack by a US jet on two fuel tankers hijacked by Taliban militants underscored a different problem. McChrystal, who visited the scene in the northern Kunduz province yesterday, has already curbed airstrikes to limit civilian casualties that outrage the population and severely impair US efforts to isolate the insurgents. Yet up to 90 people were reported to have died when the tankers erupted in a giant fireball as dozens of civilians waited nearby to take advantage of a Taliban offer to help themselves to free fuel that had been on its way to Nato forces. Reports said five people from a single family were among those killed; another man lost three sons. Not the least of the consequences of disasters of this nature is that it sours public opinion in allied countries, making it harder for sympathetic European governments to increase military and other support. There are about 40,000 Nato troops in Afghanistan from countries other than the United States.

McChrystal’s report has not yet been made public, but leaked accounts suggest he is worried by Taliban successes in formerly stable parts of northern and western Afghanistan, far from the insurgents’ previous strongholds along the Pakistan border. The general is also understood to be urging that more troops be devoted to vulnerable population centres. His aim is to increase protection for civilians, expand training programmes for Afghan soldiers and police and gnaw at the Taliban’s ability to strike – much as happened with the US military surge in Iraq.

Yet how far is Obama willing to go in pursuit of an enemy that has claimed the lives of 739 American troops since the invasion of 2001 and killed 51 in August alone, the highest monthly toll to date? The British toll stands at 212, including 22 in July. The president has not been short of advice. George Will, a conservative columnist, raised eyebrows last week when he joined liberal Democrats in urging Obama to pull out of Afghanistan immediately and instead fight a long-range war. “It can be done from offshore,” Will wrote, “using intelligence, drones, cruise missiles, airstrikes and small, potent special forces units, concentrating on the porous 1,500-mile border with Pakistan, a nation that actually matters.”

Others pointed out that former President Bill Clinton attempted long-range policing of Afghanistan in the 1990s and the result was the emergence of Al-Qaeda and the attacks of September 11, 2001. “The notion that you can conduct a purely counterterrorist kind of campaign, and do it from a distance, simply does not accord with reality,” Gates warned. It was also suggested that Obama might turn to what Pentagon officials have dubbed the “Goldilocks” option – choosing the porridge that is neither too hot nor too cold. A middle path between the status quo and an all-out surge might be based on a more modest, less visible build-up that would replace up to 14,000 soldiers deployed in clerical and other noncombat duties with frontline troops.

The Los Angeles Times reported last week that noncombat units might be replaced by civilian contractors, boosting US firepower in the region while enabling Obama to side-step a public outcry. Yet that idea was undermined when a bizarre scandal erupted over contractors employed to guard the US embassy in Kabul. Instead of looking out for Taliban bombers, it was alleged, they were participating in drunken sex parties. That left Obama with two serious options that may ultimately decide the popular verdict on his presidency. He can do nothing and hope that a recent reshuffle of senior military commanders in the region, and his decision to increase troop numbers to their current high levels, will produce sufficient stability for the US to be able to declare victory and leave. Or he can take a huge political risk and provide his military commanders with the thousands of new troops they are preparing to request.

McChrystal’s advisers have speculated that he will call for the equivalent of up to eight more combat brigades with up to 5,000 soldiers in each. McChrystal and Karl Eikenberry, the new US ambassador to Afghanistan, must be given “both the time to act and the resources and authority they feel they need”, Cordesman argued. “They can win only if they are allowed to manage both the civil and military sides of the conflict without constant micromanagement from Wash-ington or travelling envoys.” Yet will Obama be willing to entrust the future of his presidency to a general and an ambassador? More to the point, will his chief advisers – notably Rahm Emanuel, his ferocious chief of staff – allow him to court military disaster at a time when his approval ratings are in freefall over his unpopular domestic agenda?

Whatever he does, critics on both sides agree, he has to explain to the American people what victory in Afghanistan will look like. Will it mean that Osama Bin Laden is dead? Must the Taliban be routed? Does it matter if the country’s new president is honest?

Feingold warned last week that he and the American people “cannot tolerate more troops without some commitment about when this perceived occupation will end”.

It can scarcely have been a consolation to Obama that the most prominent voices urging him on were the Republicans who started the war.

I agree. And the way he is going after the Israelis/making them the enemy is further proof of this.

  64. curiosityhasme,
Do you have links to some of that info? I’d like to take a look. And if you’re a conspiracy theorist then I’m just plain insane.

Sorry about your hubby. Glad to hear he’s ok/

  65. Janh, Obama is here in that position for a reason, that’s for sure. He was selected, and he has a purpose. That purpose must be done quickly before the kool-aid drinkers realize it. His time is almost up since most of the American people have awoken.

I am still hoping for the public option, I don’t know what you all want, but just the administrative cost alone would be great. I just would like to know where and who makes those $55.00 scissors.

  66. Regardless of who wins, we will not have people capable of governing,” said Cordesman, who visited last month. “[President Hamid] Karzai is corrupt and lacks capacity.
That is the bottom line. So what does it mean? Another occupation. How popular is that? More important however is it the right strategy. A clear objective? (No). Public support? (No). A clearly defined exit strategy? (No). This will be his Viet Nam. And when he loses the progressive wing over health care, this will be another one for those wackos to chew on. Problem is in this case the wackos may be right–if they first put down the hopium pipe.

  67. That stat on the one staff meeting was mentioned on this Blog. It must have been fairly recent, as I saw some posting previous that state he had, had NONE.
I heard he had one in the beginning and none since–except for the four staff meetings he had with the Chicago Bulls–but thats serious business, whereas this is governing bullshit is just the crap you have to put up with between elections.

  68. confloyd,

I don’t believe anything the BO says about health reform and I don’t trust it.

Even murphy, (NYS Congresman) who owes his seat to BO, said there were 5 different versions of the plan out there – 3 in the house and 2 in the senate – and that’s the reason for the confusion. So how the heck are we gonna know what’s in the BO version if and when it passes?

I say tear it up and start again. Murphy came equipped with a copy of the original 1000+ page bill and admitted he oesn’t understand it.

  69. For anyone interested…

    Fixin’ Thangs
The problem with Americans is they were lied to by Bearick Obama in America didn’t need things changed, America needed things fixed. See there was nothing wrong with America which a little tender loving care could not have fixed………a little oxygen and the people could have breathed better, but instead Obama went around strangling everyone.

See a woman would have known this like Sarah Palin. She would have went into the sick room and seen all of America panting for breath and simply went over the window, opened it to let in some fresh air and sunshine, patted the sick ones on the head and they would have felt better in two shakes of a stick.
That is the problem with America in they hired a British nanny pretending to be Mrs. Obamafire and all they got was burnt in a Robin Williams lie. America needs the real Mama in rugged sports, Chevies made by American owned companies, apple pies and ……….yeah a woman to fix thangs.

Women are always great at fixin’ thangs and making everyone feel better.

Life is boring without a woman in your life. Get a woman in your life and all of a sudden clothes take on a new meaning, crossing the legs becomes more important than anything and food even tastes better.
America has a woman show up baking some bread, smoking some wild game meat and a cold frosty beer and American men will think they just won the lottery and landed on the moon twice. That is what women do in making America not some fricking “homeland”, but women make America a home for the betterment of everyone.

I once knew an old hillrat by the name of Freddie who has now gone to his 90 year old reward. He was a mechanical genius in he fixed up old flywheel gas engines.
Don’t know what a flywheel gas engine is?

Well pardner, a flywheel gas engine is an engine like in your car, but has this big flywheel on it that keeps the pistons turning forever on one little firing of the spark plug………so they burn about a pint of gas a day running things like pump jacks to water critters in the Texas flats or making electricity in isolated locations for appliances.

Oh wow, you mean that America could build these flywheel things on a city size scale and generate all the electricity they ever wanted for a few dollars, no pollution and the thing is just this big heavy weight turning on momentum, as the engine only fires a few times a minute, instead of hundreds……..oh yes, that is called fixin’ thangs and a woman would know who to do that like drill baby drill.

Same way with garbage. No woman would ever make a landfill as that is just plain stupid. Women all over the world know what to do with trash and that is to burn the stuff.
Now a woman wouldn’t just burn the stuff, she would hook it up to this furnace, and pump in air to make it super hot so the orange flame would turn into a blue white flame that would vaporize all kinds of things so pollution wouldn’t happen.
A woman would do this and then just like a coal fired power plant without the soot, fire up an electric generator and cities could produce a major part of their energy for just burning trash they create by the tons every day.

A cool bi product would be that lovely metals refined out of trash which could be sold to China…….instead of Muchelle Obama putting that lead on her lawn and feeding it to Birdie.

See that is the way women fix things. A woman wouldn’t send the IRS to hound people who are hiding their money. A woman would say, “Hey you folks, put that money into banks on amnesty. You can spend it, give it to your children or just leave it collect interest here for investments, because the underground economy is larger than the real economy……….and all that new money floating about would generate trillions of dollars in new taxes to balance the budget…..
A woman of course would trim the budget as a woman would know how to do things unlike someone with manboobs and child bearing hips.

Women are great at this like the lovely Bar Paly, a nice Jewish girl who is just like a red car, pretty trees and dark dresses, nice to look at and make one feel better.
Take Bar here for example all dressed interestingly. No Ahmadinejad is going to want to blow up Bar. Nope, all those Muslim men seeing Bar will want to get to know her as they are all horny in trying to cover up their women.

Muslim women seeing all the attention Bar receives will start dressing like Bar instead of in that stinky wool.
Once that happens all those Muslim men will be getting their bells rung and all that sexual lust they are burdening Muslim women with will be released. No Muslim will have time to be blowing things up or causing trouble as the women will have the men wore out and the women being satisfied will all be smiling at that power they have over men in the 3rd world.

The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. America needs that nurturing hand in the form of a real woman who knows what it is to be a Lady in all forms.

All of these fixes will not cost an American one penny and that is the way a woman would fix things, without cost, without bloodshed and without wasting time in herding people as a woman knows people are always going their own way, and all they are going to do is stop long enough to let a woman pass by, because a woman is interesting.

A woman has it in her to save America. That is how to solve American problems is not to change things, but just have a woman fixin’ thangs.

    Obama’s Humor

I just had to share this as even the artificial intelligence which monitors the conversations of people has developed a satirical sense of humor.
I reported yesterday exclusively that a Muchelle Obama doll had an add popping up on World Tribune which I thought was satire until checking it out.

Those ads all come from Google as the one I screen grabbed today which popped up on my posting page for the blog and took a snapshot of as I found it quite amusing.
In the deeper sense, it reveals how the webspiders crawling all over the internet are not monitoring now content of search engines, but are part of a “torture scheme” in placing ads on Conservative sites actually promoting Bearick Obama or his Barbie doll wife, Muchelle of Cherryfornia Dreamin’.

This stuff is so interesting in the way all content is now being logged by Google for intelligence operations. For some time, my blog switched on log in to other monitoring to track me. Then there was the grabbing of the entire blog by the artificials so it winked out and would disappear.

Apparently Obama’s teleprompter and the webspiders have now developed a programmed satirical sense of humor, more advanced than the 486 processor in Obama’s brain.

I just wanted to post this as proof that the Obamatrons are following you and logging all you do. These little messages are just the subtle way of informing the world of their power.

Sort of like another discovey about James Bowman who is Valerie Jarrett’s disease experimental father in Iranian children’s hospital which he was running as a pathologist in one more line of this web was uncovered here exclusive in, James Bowman was supported by the Pritzker group of Chicago.
Penny Pritzker is the banking crook who was power lending and stealing investor’s money so much they sued her. Her crooked family cheated the US IRS out of taxes, but no concern is necessary for her welfare as she bounced right back to being Barack Obama’s money launderess in all that funny money, ACORN fraudulent fund payouts to cronies of Obama…….and yes, those mysterious credit card payments from inactive cards to Obama from even Republicans.

Small Obama world isn’t it, Obama’s soon to be Chief of Staff’s daddy was funded by Pritzker who was doing genetic testing and advocating it in speaking of exterminating Americans with abortion who were inferior, just like Obama Flu and just like Timmy Geithner’s old man employed Stanley Ann Dunham at Ford Foundation.

Now it is all so much easier as Obama has computers tracking everyone for the enemies list and they are doing it with a Nazi sense of humor.

    God bless

Van Jones of the Molotov Mob
It might surprise people that I’m going to stand up and defend Van Jones, the Ghetto Greengo Czar of the Obama Administration, but when I am through Mr. Jones would have preferred I had not done this as I will leave him exposed and naked………and quite humiliated for what he is.

I do not believe Mr. Jones is anything what the press has exposed him as. Certainly the wonderful journalist Aaron Klein of World Net Daily who exposed Van Jones in the communist wacko circles Jones splashed about in was correct, but by instinct there is more to Van Jones just like there is more to Bill Ayers just like there is more to Keith Olbermann than these volcanic Molotov spewings which erupt from their mouths.
That is what people have to understand in there is an entire intelligence operative class in the world whose vocation is to herd the masses. The induction goes something like this:

Hey Barry Soetoro, you are such a bright boy, (Barry says YES I AM), and the cartels say, “You know those stupid sheep you are around need a master to control them and to implement your brilliant ideas to make their bleating lives better, so come and join us.
Barry signs the soul on the dotted line and voila one day you have Keith Olbermann sports announcer and the next day you have him blowing his stack on cable feeding the maniacs the stuff they want to hear………and giving them their balance for Rush Limbaugh who they can’t deal with.

This is all Van Jones is. He is a quite handsome like Donald Young, patrician fire starter serving the elite. Van Jones is part of the Molotov Mob, a group of incendiaries who go around saying wild things to grab headlines, herd the leftist masses, and then move on before being pinned down on what he said, because tomorrow needs a new “George Bush is a crack head” line to make the headlines on David Letterman.
Van Jones is but a black man version of George Soros’ Moveon.org in the flesh.

In noting all of that, Jesse Jackson was the father of all of these mouths for hire and he has made a fortune doing it working for the FBI all these years. Yes brother Jesse is an intelligence operative, just like Van Jones is an intelligence operative.
I really would deeply like people to catalogue this into their memory banks, because when you understand what game this is and who is being the stooge on the right and the left, then one can just mock and laugh at the Peggy Noonan types and hand their “what’s it” a hanky when it sneeze from the wet pantie cold they catch lusting after the prime mate they got the undies in a knot over.

That is what Van Jones does not want exposed as the left is equal to the right in what Alex Jones is terrified of in he knows they will damage him if they ever figure out what game he is playing on them for power and profit.
The left tends to be a bit more lethal and unforgiving and Van Jones knows this as he was sent into kook central of Rep. Barbara communist Lee of Oakland in praise of all things change and Castro.

If you want the definitive proof, and I will give you a list of names of other intelligence shills who are sponsored by the same elite cartel, here goes, because their names are all listed at the front of a book with Van Jones name on it, which everyone knows he never typed a word of as it was ghost written for him…………just like Bearick Obama and John Kennedy’s books were ghost written…….like all of these books are ghost written propaganda to introduce the new “mind” to the group the cartel wants watched and manipulated.
Miki Malkin in going after Van Jones is a reflection of herself in the mirror.

The names on the Van Jones book endorsement list (Now remember this Van Jones is less known than most of the people reading this) are………

    Drum roll please…………

Thomas Friedman the hater of Benjamin Netanyahu type Jews of the New York Times.

Looter of the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

Dickhead Tom Daschle, every one’s friend and chauffeur employer.

Leftist gatekeeper, “former” Republican and my blondie friend, Arianna Huffington.

That sexy, sensual and manly Tavis Smiley of PBS and other ventures of money funneling employment.

and our favorite censor meister of all, Larry Brilliant of Google.

These are the people who promoted Van Jones book he did not write, because the cartel masters of these people told them to sign their names, and like good little intelligentsia operatives they did just that to keep the money flowing in.

If you want to see a list of the Hollywood whores who are of this same intelligentsia class, just look at the David Letterman shill list, who all agree with beating up on women and pedophilia practiced on children. All of these people owe their jobs to the cartels and appear where they are told to appear. It is all a Molotov Mob racket of fire starters.

One only has to see the penance of Van Jones in he released a statement which read as an apology in having offended people with the crazy things he was stating. That is why I know Van Jones was an intelligence operative directing, experimenting and controlling for his cartel masters the maniacs on the left. It is just a job for him, just like his Al Gore green garbage is just a line to steal money from the west, gain control over industry (Obama cars) and live a comfortable life being part of the third tier power elite in America.

So in exposing all of this and leaving all of the above naked as jaybirds, one knows what a 486 Bearick Obama is too. These types are all fakes, reading lines given them, preying on the people who they are associated with in return for the good life as they see it.

That is the reason I have more respect for Van Jones than some creatures like Peggy Noonan who insults people on the right in thinking if she keeps talking people are so stupid they will forget like Noel Sheppard that she is an Obama whore.
Van Jones at least apologized for what he did, which means he is reasonable at playing the game and wants to stay in power to feed his power fetish………..all the while not giving a spit about anything green, just like carbon spewer Al Gore could care less about the planet.

Van Jones loves money, loves polluting, loves to jerk idiots on the left around in manipulating them. I say keep this operative around as he is doing a better job than Arianna Huffington in slapping Obama’s maniacs………even if Arianna looks better in tight white shorts.

Mr. Jones worst punishment is he is locked in that White House with the ever erectile Bearick Obama. As handsome as Van Jones is……..how long do you think it will be before he has to take a backseat on Obamaback Mounting and pay for his appointment with a little Brian Williams cuddle?

Hell of a price to pay for a book deal, but then Val Plame got stuck with Joe Wilson in the dusty west. Van Jones will get stuck in the sultry east with Triple X Obama.
Gets expensive when you have to pay for what other people print.

The Saul end of the Stick
One of my favorite people in the Bible is Jonathan, son of King Saul, as he is such a marvelous creation in selflessness.

Here was a man whose father was King of Israel, anointed by the last Judge Prophet, Samuel, and when Saul was in open rebellion against God, Jonathan knowing the throne was his, submitted to a stranger in David, the shepherd boy of Bethlehem his rightful throne by birth.

It did not just end with submission, but Jonathan loved David in the kind of Christ Love which was pure and selfless. He entered into with David the most sacred of rights which most people should never enter into as they are too weak to deal with the consequences.
Jonathan and David made Covenant, sealed by God and in that moment David was adopted into the Saul family as there was no longer any distinction between Jonathan or David in God’s eyes or the eyes of all Israel.

That is the mystery of Covenant which I have mentioned before. It is what Christ was instituting at the Last Supper, because that is what the spilling of blood and broken body means He made in the Lasting Covenant. It was the same Covenant which God made with Abraham.
In Covenant, two animals are slaughtered, a bull for strength and a lamb ram for vulnerability. They are laid out end for end and then split, so the blood flows between the two uniting them.

The people entering into covenant then walk in figure 8 and stopping making vows. They will also exchange clothes and weapons, so they are now the other person. This is the vulnerability phase as someone with their pants or girdle down could be slaughtered by the other as their sword is drawn.
A second figure 8 is then walked in which the sacred words are spoken binding this so it can not be broken and sealed by the Holy Spirit. Bread is broken and blessed to note that the broken animals bodies are in mirror of this bread which is eaten with the words, “By this bread, I signify I will lay down my life if you are starving, I will feed you with my own flesh to preserve you”.
The wine in mirror of the blood is then blessed and drunk wit the the words, “By this wine, I signify that my blood will be poured out as water to save your life”.

As stated, that is what Jesus was doing in the Last Supper and on the cross He would signify the final act which Jonathan and David accomplished in marking themselves as the sign, in their palms were slit as Christ was marked by the nails forever.

The Hebrews knew this and the Disciples understood Covenant too. It is a shame that in Communion in remember the Lord that they have no idea what sacred thing of history which they are a part of in “this do in remembrance of Me”.

This knowing meant that if someone grabbed a hold of David in thinking he was just this shepherd, they would soon enough bare his wrists and see those marks. Horror would seize the person, because they had just laid hands on the King’s own, as their was no difference.
That is the thing which Jonathan gave up and this is the humbleness of David, because he was adopted into the royal line just like every Christian is………and just as Christ was adopted into the “other Joseph” line for the fulfillment of his Priestly rights of the Magdalene line of his stepmother.

One thing until this morning has always torn at my heart in sorrow in how this Jonathan who is the perfection of the Lancelot legend in he was pure, brave and steadfast. He gave up everything and was slain for it.
One has to understand that Saul was of the people’s choice and heart. God did send Samuel to anoint him, but Saul was a manifestation of the weakness of the people’s heart in not being true to God, but existing in faithlessness.
David is the man after God’s Own Heart. He was God’s choice to remedy the mistake the Israelites who are the forebearers of the Gileadites of Joseph in America. By him would Christ and Salvation come into the world in the New Testament which could not be broken as Jesus is the Guarantor of it.

Jonathan could not be the person who God would choose to bring about this Grace through, although he was the most selfless person in history. The key to understanding though why Jonathan was slaughtered with is brothers by the Philistines is in the Bible though. It had nothing to do with Jonathan, but had everything to do with Saul his father.

Israel had been at war with the Philistine and they were basically hiding in the mountains. Many had gone over to the Philistines side. While Saul sat under a tree with 600 warriors, Jonathan was moved in the most amazing way to tell his young armour bearer that they alone should go down to the Philistine garrison which guarded the mountain pass and if the Philistines said “wait” they would wait, but if the Philistines said, “come”, Jonathan would take that as a sign of God that the Philistines were delivered into their hand.

I have always laughed when this armour bearer who was probably a child heard Jonathan say what he did, because his reply was, “Do what you think best”, but he must have thought the guy was nuts and was going to get them both killed.

The Philistines said, “come”, and in a half acre Jonathan struck down a number of them while his armour bearer finished them off.
The Philistines seeing this went into a panic and at that moment God caused the earth to quake which sent them in a running panic.

Saul hearing this tumult found out Jonathan was the source of the rout, and Saul attempted to call upon God in the casting of the lot, and then stopped the Priest with the Ephod, and ordered the people into battle.
While Jonathan was away, Saul had in rash haste pronounced a curse on anyone who ate anything that day before sundown, until Saul was avenged on his enemies.

Jonathan had no idea of what was said, and in pursuing the Philistines ate some honey he found and the people told him what Saul had ordered, but Jonathan scolded his fathers harsh words saying, “If he had allowed the men to eat, the slaughter would have been complete”.

The next day God was silent to Saul, and Saul wanted to know the sin, because of the silence from God. He even said if it was of his own son that he would kill him.
The lot was cast and Jonathan was singled out and Saul meant to kill him, because of his decree.

The people at that point rose up and said, “No harm is going to come to Jonathan who brought us this great victory”.
Israel saved Jonathan that day, but nowhere is it said Saul repented or attempted to undo his death curse on his own son. So in reality, it was not Jonathan’s Heavenly Father who was the reason he as slaughtered years later with his brothers in battle, but was because of the rash curse of his own father.

A great lesson can be learned in this for parents in not speaking bad things over their children like, “That will kill you” or the casting of spells on wishes on birthday cakes. Parents have great power for their children and must always speak with care as much as any leader who goes around telling his people to shut up as “I won”.

I know that God did not choose Bearick Obama and I know that no good will come from him. It is a pit there is no Jonathan in that family to give a shining light of reason to a rather insane lot which is troubled as Saul was by their own demons of gluttony and weakness in blaming others.

Jonathan was the most special of people and he is one of the overlooked members of our family and that is truly shameful as David in his love for this brother would do anything for him and did in rescuing Jonathan’s crippled son, bringing him into David’s own home to live.

That is the teaching and Jonathan’s example deserves to be remembered as he did, because he was a wonderful person in God for many to emulate in accepting God’s Will when that will is making a destiny we want for someone else.

God bless the memory of Prince Jonathan, first royal prince of Israelites.

    The Devil You Do………….

James Bowman, Laura Jarrett, Valerie Jarrett, Barbara Taylor Bowman

Bizarre is the one word I would use to explain my first introduction to Valerie Jarrett who is poised according to rumor to replace Rahm Emanuel as White House Chief of Staff. This woman honestly reminds one of a “Terminator” from the series in her mind functions like that of a computer in it just fires without human reaction. It was troubling to experience it and it is like watching Obama’s 486 brain compared to Jarrett’s ramped up old 200 MMX dealing with 21st century data.

This discomfort for the oddity of Valerie Jarrett has only been compounded as of late in the uproar of a malevolent communist czar in the White House named Van Jones who is on equal terms with Jarrett in being bizarre. Hating America and promoting revolution seems to be Van Jones forte.
The reason Jarrett matters in the Van Jones world of 9 11 Truthers who think America attacked America on that date and Jones other screwball rants is Valerie Jarrett seemed to take credit for Jones appointment………..I would express that it seems Jarrett pushed the nomination after it was pushed by another discomforting Congresswoman from Oakland California, Barbara Lee, who loves Fidel Castro and revolutionary change, dumped Jones into the Obama lap.

As a side note before we leave Van Jones, he too published a book in being a nobody, like nobody Obama and became a somebody, even though he never wrote it or should have ever gotten a book deal.

What interests me is the weave of all of these perverted minds which Obama is a part of. Valerie Jarrett married a man named William Jarrett who has since went tits up after her divorcing him. William Jarrett’s dad was Vernon Jarrett, an early black propagandist who was comrades with, Frank Marshall Davis, the sexual pedophile pervert who Barack Obama stated crushed him and left him feeling alone in the world.
This all in the South Side, white side family, yes that needs to be addressed as Valerie Jarrett aka Valerie Bowman as she was born in Iran, was part of this “passing” group of light skinned negroes who only would marry light skinned negroes. America’s current first lady is of that lighter than brown paper bag group and why exotic Obama was her tan man of destiny, just as the Bowman clan chose tan on tan.

These birds of a feather flocking together are most interesting as when I heard Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran to Dr. James E. Bowman and his infamous educator wife, I started wondering just how was it that a tan man in in the 1950’s when no advancement ever came to blacks was involved in a program where he was jump starting 3rd world nations to make them first world.

One might recall as Susan E. Rice, a tan gal, whose dad was part of this 3rd world jumping too in India and Africa for banking. These people all seemed to gravitate toward each other.

While Dr. Bowman, if he were a doctor in reality or even a children’s physician, I could see his need in a nation like Iran which had just become US Shah property, because he was running a children’s hospital………the problem is Dr. Bowman is a pathologist who is in the business of studying diseases.
He has listed a number of papers concerning diseases of the blood. That is quite alright, but as stated, here is a genetic disease hunter in a children’s hospital in Iran, where they need a baby doctor and not someone who is……….well, do the logic in a strangely advanced and connected black guy in an America which did not promote black guys, ends up running a baby factory in Iran.
The devil you do know would presume someone was conducting mass experiments in collecting data on Persians for some new world order reason. The point being in this odd helping the 3rd world is Stanley Ann Dunham who is a anthropologist ends up in banking, and Dr. Bowman who is a pathologist ends up running a baby hospital.

Doesn’t make a great deal of sense in any of this does it.

I found a particularly troubling paper by Dr. James Bowman though in which he is describing the legal and ethical conditions for mass testing of people for blood diseases like Dr. Mengele would speaking of experiments on Jews without any emotion whatsoever.

The key quote in Dr. Bowman’s paper was:

Legislation, court decisions, state and federal genetics programs, and scholars in the social sciences, humanities, law, medicine, and genetics support discoveries in genetics that now facilitate genetic testing, prenatal diagnosis and selective abortion of fetuses with genetic and other disorders, artificial insemination, and in vitro fertilization.

Arguments for and against these procedures are reminiscent of debates about the use of the limited tools of the old eugenics to prevent the birth of children who were considered to be physically, mentally, or socially defective.

It all is so clinical to Dr. Bowman in SELECTIVE weeding out of the unfit in children.

It reminds one a great deal of Rahm Emanuel’s brother, who wrote Bearick Obama’s death panel mandate in deciding who lives and who died without any more emotion than choosing one potato chip over another.

And yet now rising to the top of this is Valerie Jarrett in written biographies of all of these “celebrated” family, friends, and associates. A group which literally is the summing of the whole of the strange creature Barack Hussein Obama is.
This assembled group is nothing but a group of intelligence associated operatives and controls. It doesn’t matter if it is Bill Ayers the Marxist or James Bowman the dispenser of what reads like Nazi medicinal treatment of unfit Jews, they and their offspring are the groups which noted Americans warned Americans about of the danger they were to America.

Just watch PBS commercials sometimes with the Hollywood elite promoting it and up pops that bizarre Henry Louis Gates jr. of the Obama beer garden fame. Any place else besides the David Letterman show, that ad would have been pulled for the racist jerk he is, but in this Obama cult, he just goes on and on.

These little changelings who have used Tuskegee as a metaphor in hiding in blackness as the “leaders” of black issues while advancing a quite Rockefeller New World Community Organized Marxism preying on black people who actually have more black heritage in them than these tan white people are a most interesting appendage of the NeoProg left.
On the right one has Clarence Thomas who actually is black, but on the left one has this leading chorus of tan people portrayed as black, exactly like Bill Clinton was the first black President.

This entire group has been a control to control black Americans and herd them into voting for policies which have done nothing, but destroy them. An amusing note to Valerie Jarrett is her mother was Barbara Taylor, whose father built disastrous slum housing on Chicago’s South Side just like Tony Rezko and Bearick Obama preyed on blacks 20 years later in the same scam.

The hopeful problem though for this Axelrod Inc. group is that while they could operate under the radar in their international financier advancement………that perhaps now people will start asking questions in how terrorists are Bill Ayers professors, anthropologists are Stanley Ann Dunham bankers, pathologists are James Bowman children hospital directors and how British subjects are Barack Obama in the White House.

The uncovering of this mess is just starting and all of it is as bizarre as Valerie Jarrett and does not make any more sense.

    Tis the Age of Obama.

  71. I just got a message alert for a trojan virus while searching for information on who Van Jones parents are. It appears that Valerie Jarrett’s father and Obama’s friend/mentor Frank Davis has a definite connection. It seems they were in the communist party together. There are a couple of Jones names in the group, so I was wondering if Van might be related to them. That’s when I got a message alert of a virus. hmmm, hmmm, it kind of makes you wonder, WHY!

  72. LOL…I’ve tried twice now to post the guests on Sunday’s news programs, so if they turn up later I apologize.

I forget who was asking about Gibbs, but he is going to be on ABC “This Week” tomorrow.

  73. confloyd:

Many believe Frank Marshall Davis much more than mentor, but true father of BHO, not Kenyan Obama. Compare pics and it’s astounding. That’s word on the Big Island too.

  74. They are behind the eight ball. That is all they can do. Send out mouthpieces. Somebody needs to ask one of those mouthpieces the question Morris raised.

  76. Found this at huffington via google news:

Earlier today, MSNBC’s Carlos Watson hosted Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) and CNBC anchor Maria Bartiromo for a discussion on health care. At one point, Bartiromo pressed Weiner for an answer to this question: If Medicare is so good, why aren’t you on it?

The progressives are still too besotted with BO to really take him to task for all of his back-peddling and shenanigans so far. Unfortunately, the “public option” they’re fighting for is a trojan horse — i.e. it is another corporate boondoggle in that it will mandate all to buy insurance without lowering health insurance costs.

‘Trojan horse’ describes the bill as a whole. A strong public option would be a good provision, allowing people to obey the mandate by buying their insurance from a government program rather than from the private insurance companies.

Of course whatever is labeled ‘public option’ in the bill, may turn out just as phoney as the whole bill itself.

  78. I was just over at no quarter and one lady went to a tea party in Texas and took her Hillary sign with her. You need to go read it, it was quiet heartwarming. Her name is Carol. I wonder if she is our Carol?

  79. confloyd, hubby just had a lung biopsy on 8/11 and he had to stay overnight due to a lung collapse. I was astonished when I got his final itemized bill.

The TRAY that they used in the room was 65.00 some of the needles for the biopsies ranged from 155.00 to 83.00. The repeated chest xrays were $164.00 each. The chest tube was ove $700

He had the biopsy one day, stayed overnight and was released the next day and the final bill is close to $10,000. This IS outrageous.

He spent 4 days here local just a week or so ago due to pneumonia in the lung that had the biopsy and the bill is close to $6,000.

  80. dot48, I can’t believe the chest tube was 700. Thats horrible. I wish I knew which companies are getting rich selling this crap to medical facilities. They have their hands in this mess too.
My son is a cardiac catherization tech and tells me some of the simpliest things used in the heart catherization are so expensive you wouldn’t believe. These scissoris are less than 3.5 inches long. The look like very sharp 1st grade scissors for $55.00.
I really would like to see how it costs for gauze and tape and all those things. When I first started in this profession all these supplies were out in the open, now they are in what is called a Pixis. Its a locked cabinet and you have to put the patients medical record number in to access these supplies. They are so expensive that the hospital keeps them under lock and key.
You can bet the makers of this equipment has made a backroom deal with Obama to keep screwing the American people.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough response!

Your email reflects what a whole lot of people are saying. People are
angry because Congress seems to care more about itself than about the
people who elected them. We need to really change the imbalance that
has been created by special interests and their undue influence upon

What do you think of the State Attorney General, Martha Croakley? I read that she may be running.

  83. I just watched the video on youtube of Obama celebrating Ramadan with his muslims friends along with Holder, Gates, Sebelius, Conyers and a few other senators. Its quiet interesting, we’ll see if he celebrates Thanksgiving this November. I bet he doesn’t.

  84. birdgal…..Well, we could do a review of all her neat qualifications, but what I really feel is …
I wish she had passion. I wish I could believe she is not more at ease shuffling paper than communicating and listening, and I can’t visualize her as strong enough to refuse to toe the line. I’m afraid they would just use her, make her a good soldier. I think she has had a very tidy career, been very efficient at her job, etc, but we really need someone with an independent spirit who has a sense of mission. I want to support women, but I look for what we see in Hillary, in Ferraro, in Palin, in Shirley Chisholm etc I’m very tired of smooth talkers who say all the right words, but when they get to Washington simply fall into line with the status quo. I could be dead wrong about her, and I wouldn’t have said this if you hadn’t asked me, but that’s how I view her. If you care to, tell me if you disagree and why. But I have to get to bed now – been a long day. I’ll find a moment to read you tomorrow. ‘night.

I don’t really know that much about her, but she was steadfast in her support of Hillary during the primary and convention. That showed conviction and not necessarily toeing the party line. Some other people do like her, but like I said, I don’t know very much about her and I don’t live in MA.

  86. Obama’s declining support among whites

    By Peter Wallsten
    September 4, 2009

Washington Bureau–After a summer of health care battles and sliding approval ratings for President Obama, the White House is facing a troubling new trend: The voters losing faith in the president are the ones he had worked hardest to attract.

New surveys show steep declines in Obama’s approval ratings among whites–including Democrats and independents–who were crucial elements of the diverse coalition that helped elect the country’s first black president.

Among white Democrats, Obama’s job approval rating has dropped 11 points since his 100-days mark in April, according to surveys by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. It has dropped by nine points among white independents and whites over 50, and by 12 points among white women–all voter groups that will be targeted by both parties for support in next year’s mid-term elections.

“While Obama has a lock on African-Americans, his support among white voters seems to be almost in a free-fall,” said veteran Republican pollster Neil Newhouse.

Strategists in both parties blame Obama’s decline on growing discontent with his policy agenda, particularly after a month of an often rowdy debate over his proposed health care overhaul, in which conservatives accused him of being a “socialist.” It is likely that Obama’s ratings would rise again if he succeeded in winning passage of health care legislation this fall.

But the drop in support among whites also comes as some conservatives have escalated their efforts to provoke and nurture controversies that have the potential to further erode Obama’s standing among centrists.

Dominating conservative talk shows last week on the Fox News Channel were reports on Van Jones, Obama’s green jobs czar, who as a San Francisco community activist signed onto conspiracy theories questioning whether the U.S. government played a role in the Sept. 11 attacks.

Some conservatives are also raising questions about a White House dinner invitation to the lead lawyer in American Civil Liberties Union lawuits that have forced the government to disclose Bush-era interrogation techniques. The lawyer was invited to an event for Ramadan, the Muslim holiday.

Even Obama’s plan to address the nation’s schoolchildren on Tuesday has prompted an outcry among conservative parents and GOP officials, who have accused the White House of trying to infuse “socialism” into the minds of young people.

These controversies followed earlier efforts by some conservatives to press ongoing conspiracy theories that the president was actually born overseas and is ineligible to hold office, and that his true religion is Islam–theories that some Democrats worry could be affecting the public’s view of the president and his party.

Pew first identified a slippage in white support immediately following a press conference in July, when Obama took the surprising step of criticizing a white police officer for acting “stupidly” in arresting a black Harvard professor. Still unclear is whether Obama’s slide in the polls is due solely to his policies, or whether questions about his personal background or allegiances have had an effect.

During the presidential campaign last fall, the nation’s economic meltdown swamped any attempts by Republicans to portray Obama as having radical associations with figures such as his former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. Some conservatives, such as Fox’s Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, have continued to raise such concerns.

One black congressman, Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.), was quoted last week alleging that opposition to Obama’s health care policies was “a bias, a prejudice, an emotional feeling.”
“Some Americans have not gotten over the fact that Obama is president of the United States. They go to sleep wondering, `How did this happen?’ ” Rangel said, according to the New York Post.

Democratic pollster David Beattie conducted a survey last month in one competitive congressional district that found that more than one-fourth of independents believed Obama had not proven his natural-born status. The same sentiment was expressed by nearly six in 10 Republican women–a group that Beattie said would be important for a Democratic victory. He declined to name the district because the polling was private–but said that such questions about Obama’s background seemed to be a “proxy” for voters’ growing unease with Obama’s ambitious agenda, which has included a potential push to create a government-sponsored health insurance plan. Surveys show that the vast majority of Americans like Obama personally, but that they are increasingly skeptical of policies that seem to expand the scope and size of government.
“We’re having an economic culture war,” Beattie said. “The criticisms of Obama are about the fundamental role of government in our economy.”

A new analysis by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report concludes that anxiety over the government’s expanding role in the economy could prove devastating for Democrats next year. The analysis, with a headline that suggests 2010 could be the “year of the angry white senior,” warns that Obama faces a growing “gulf” between his still-strong support among young people and his dwindling numbers among people 65 and older. The result, according to analyst David Wasserman, could be a loss by Democrats of up to 25 House seats. Democrats currently hold a 78-seat majority in the House.

Obama won a narrow majority of independents in last year’s election, and the Pew numbers show that his approval rating among that group rose to 57% in April–including half of white independents. More than half of whites older than 50 approved of Obama’s job performance in April. But now, after weeks of Republican accusations that the Democrats would seek to cut Medicare benefits as part of their health care overhaul, that number is just 43%.

“The back-breaker,” said Wasserman, “is the independents and the seniors who are distrustful of Democrats’ promises and assurances that Medicare won’t be touched.”

Some Democrats are hopeful that Republican opposition to Obama may be firing up core conservatives but failing to win over even skeptical centrists and independents to the GOP cause. Dan Parker, Democratic Party chairman in Indiana, home to three competitive congressional districts and an upset win last year by Obama, said that the Republicans have yet to field strong challengers in those House races this year. And, he added, in a state that has been hit hard by economic troubles, voters are willing to give Obama credit for his economic stimulus package and for bailing out the auto industry.
“Once he gets the credit for passing health care reform, then he’ll see the political benefit,” Parker said.

But the conservative rebellion against Obama has even hit Parker close to home. Last week, he received an email from the principal at his kids’ school with the news that Obama’s Tuesday back-to-school address would not be shown to most students, due to complaints from parents.

  88. No.10 turns on Obama and Clinton for criticising decision to release Lockerbie bomber

    By Simon Walters
    6th September 2009

Downing Street has hit back at Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for attacking the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.

President Obama and the US Secretary of State fuelled a fierce American backlash against Britain, claiming Abdelbaset Al Megrahi should have been forced to serve out his jail sentence in Scotland – but a senior Whitehall aide said their reaction was ‘disingenuous’.

British officials claim Mr Obama and Mrs Clinton were kept informed at all stages of discussions concerning Megrahi’s return. The officials say the Americans spoke out because they were taken aback by the row over Megrahi’s release, not because they did not know it was about to happen.

‘The US was kept fully in touch about everything that was going on with regard to Britain’s discussions with Libya in recent years and about Megrahi,’ said the Whitehall aide. ‘We would never do anything about Lockerbie without discussing it with the US. It is disingenuous of them to act as though Megrahi’s return was out of the blue. They knew about our prisoner transfer agreement with Libya and they knew that the Scots were considering Megrahi’s case.’

Mr Obama said Megrahi’s release on compassionate grounds was a ‘mistake’ while Mrs Clinton phoned the Scottish administration to complain in person.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Foreign Secretary David Miliband are said to have been ‘disappointed’ by the force of Washington’s response.

American politicians claimed the Anglo-US ‘special relationship’ had been damaged ‘for years to come’ because the UK had gone back on a joint pledge that Megrahi would stay behind bars in Scotland. Former US Justice Department official David Rivkin said it was ‘duplicitous behaviour’.

  89. Van Jones….the “green man” resigns…

He definitely was “green” in the BO administration…..hired just due to his race and ignorance….very Green indeed!!!

  90. Van Jones was hired because of his Radical Racist Black Liberation ideology and the people surrounding him in his inner circle. Just imagine how the Obama WH would have used public grant funds to promote and instigate violent protests and race riots throughout the country.

  91. JanH, I don’t like your post, its pretty scary. I hope that Hillary is not involved, ultimately though its Obama’s decision.

OMG, the poor little kool-aiders are crying hard over the resignation of another one of their communist czars.
One even mentioned that others running for POTUS said “we need a fighter in the WH”, It pains them to know they should of had Hillary. I almost choked at that comment. THey are saying it should have been Hillary, because Obama is WEAK!!! From the DAILY KOS!!
FOLKS the KOOL-AID is wearing off. They are pist that his not pushing back from Glenn Beck. THey blame Beck and his fascist Fox channel.

  92. BTW, the lefties are blaming Rahm, they say he needs to go. I go with that and the Valerie Garrett can come in and Glenn Beck has much to hollar about with that one, he can get her out in less than two weeks. She is the daughter of a communist and that is for sure.

  93. Confloyd, Why do people blame Rahm, Jarrett, etc? The boss is BO. He is ultimately responsible for all of this, by having these type of people around him. Again, I am surprised that everything is unraveling so quickly.

  94. Obama is the front man. He is to deliver the message. That’s why he can never speak extemporaneously. He is merely a player. Soros, Rahm and his other radical comrades are pulling the strings.

Listening to David Horowitz on Beck the other day, I loved what he said about combating the radicals by operating outside their expectations. Sarah Palin, anyone? Rather than spreading joy that she would be stepping down in an official capacity, they went balistic, mocking and trying to marginalize her. She scares the S**t out of them because they can’t get a hold of her no matter how hard they try. His interview, btw, should be required viewing. It’s on YouTube…sorry I don’t have the link handy.

  95. This comment is too good not to post!!!!!!!!

Bus Overtakes Van As Jones Loses WH Parking Spot

BTW, While I’m no Glen beck fan i have to give him kudos for almost single-handedly bringing Jones down. Apparently he got peeved when Van’s old organization, Colorofchange, started a marketing boycott against Beck’s show. Beck +1 BO 0

…and under the bus he is. Wonder if it’s a hybrid?…:)

  97. of course the media is trying to make it out that poor ole Van was just thrown under the bus cause he believed that 9/11 was an inside job. Nothing about his insane thinking and remarks and his other issues.

The media is still Bambi’s lap dog and it’s gonna take something real stunning before they throw him “under the bus”.

To here them tell it, it’s only the conservatives who thought Van Jones should go.

  98. Thomas Friedman joins the swelling ranks of the punditocracy on both ends of the political spectrum, calling for en end to the war in Afghanistan…

    the last paragraph;
“This is a much bigger undertaking than we originally signed up for. Before we adopt a new baby — Afghanistan — we need to have a new national discussion about this project: what it will cost, how much time it could take, what U.S. interests make it compelling, and, most of all, who is going to oversee this policy?

I feel a vast and rising ambivalence about this in the American public today, and adopting a baby you are ambivalent about is a prescription for disaster.”
The rest is in the Sunday NYT…

  99. Like many here, the political season last year caused some disagreements and even rifts with many of my long time friends and business acquaintances. The past two weeks have seen a thaw in several of those relationships, some due to the fact there is now a rift in their relationship with their partner over the actions of BO, be it over the public option, Afghanistan, renditions, etc. and they are turning to me as the one person who was never “bam-boozled” for advice. They are battling over things like whether they should watch “blatherman” anymore, as he has begun to “turn”, or whether they will join in protesting any planned troop increases in Afghanistan. The sense of betrayal is growing and the anger is building along with it.
So funny now, that they thought me to be a bitter, misguided, borderline racist just a few months ago…

  100. Admin:

Conason supporting Obama always seemed like an anamoly to me.

    Conason says:

“It was always about Obama. Conosen tries to excuse support for Obama by saying that Obama “represented” something and that he meant to “accomplish” something. But Obama has always represented the most corrupt, smooth-talking elements of Chicago thug politics and “what he meant to accomplish” was always self-advancement. To say Obama represented anything else is simply dishonest.”

Conosen pleads “no contest” for the Dimocrats who supported Obama but it is still a “guilty” plea:

“Perhaps none of these happy promises was likely to be fulfilled, and perhaps that was something Obama and his campaign aides always understood. But as the new White House came to terms with the realities of Washington, they seem to have thrown off their original images and ideals insouciantly — as if unburdening themselves of unfashionable baggage that embarrassed them in the big city.”

I had many go rounds with Mr Conason on his site about Obama during the Primarys. Of course, Obama’s defense came from a lurking regular who esposed the need for shiny and new without the forlorn baggage associated with the Clintons..
I can remember when Joe was Hillary’s champion. What event precipatated his change of heart?

Stand with the President on Health Care Reform

President Obama has called for health care reform in 2009 that upholds three core principles. It must:

    * Reduce costs
    * Guarantee choice, including a public option
    * Ensure quality care for all

Sign the declaration of support and tell Congress to pass real health care reform in 2009.
    Sign the Declaration
I support President Obama’s three principles for real health care reform, and I call on Congress to enact a plan upholding them in 2009

I love that it says at the bottom of the page, “Powered by HOPE and supporters like you”

I bet they don’t even know this page is still up…

  102. TheRealist,

The WH is in a state of disarray. The Obama administration was creating one boondoggle after another. It used to be as soon as the dust settled another faux pas would replace it- but now, there seems to be one continuous Hildalgo sand storm. Hopefully someone in the WH is holding a reserve of locusts in case the pickins become even slimmer.

  103. received this from a cousin who follows these issues closely:

[Note: It can only be ignorance of the Nth degree that brings celebrities and artists to boycott Tel-Aviv’s 100-year anniversary, a city built unihabited sand purchased legally. ….Use the excuse that Israel is an apartheid state? Haven’t it been proven time and again how the facts point out against these baseless allegations? After all, Israeli Arabs, presumably the subject of this “aparthied” live in the only democracy in the Middle-East. How can intelligent people not look at the facts before making such baseless judgments that are no more than outright anti-Semitism? I hope that your personal response is to book a trip to Tel-Aviv-Jaffa and see what a vivacious and lively city it is, one in which Jews and Arabs live side by side for generations. t.c.]

Will Tel-Aviv become an “ille gal settlement”?
They are after Tel Aviv now. It was inevitable.

First they went after Jerusalem. UN resolutions “internationalized” Jerusalem. The “international” status of the city was ignored as long as Jordan illegally occupied the old city and east Jerusalem, but vigorous protests were issued when Israel conquered Jerusalem in the Six day war. Even the=2 0United States does not recognize any Jewish claims to Jerusalem, does not recognize any part of Jerusalem as part of Israel in violation of United States law, the 1995 Jerusalem Embassy Act. The US Consulate in Jerusalem insists that it is a mission to the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinians have long insisted that Jews had no historical connection with Jerusalem. The most recent statement to that effect was issued by the Muslim Chief Justice, Taysir Tamimi, denying Jewish historical rights in Jerusalem. He claimed it was never inhabited by Jews. The first temple is erased from history as well as the second temple, as well a s the long habitation of Jews in Jerusalem prior to 1948, when Jerusalem was ethnically cleansed by the Jordan Legion. The Arab and Muslim “narrative,” given academic credentials by such people as Nadia Abu el-Hajj of Barnard University, is that Jerusalem was always an Arab city. Never mind the Menorah in the Arch of Titus. Never mind the description of the siege of Jerusalem by Josephus Flavius. Never mind the inscription from the time of Hezekiah, which describes the tunnel built to divert water from Shiloach during the siege – precisely as recorded in the Old Testament. The Palestinians have a different “narrative.” The Beit al Maqdes (temple) was built by Suleiman the Muslim. Muhammad secured Jerusalem for the Muslims by flying to Jerusalem in one night on his horse (pretty good horse!) al-buraq, and tying it up at the Wailing wall, which ensures that the wailing wall is Muslim too. So much for “Zionist Myths. Jerusalem is Arab and “Arab East Jerusalem” now belongs to the Muslims.

But now they are going after Tel Aviv as well. According to the old “Zionist narrative,” apparently incorrect, Tel Aviv was founded in 1909, originally to be called “Achuzat Bayit.” It was built on empty land purchased from Arabs. But a film festival in Toronto celebrating Tel-Aviv’s Centennial is being boycotted, on the grounds that Tel-Aviv was stolen from the Arabs! No doubt, soon it will be discovered that Muhammad visited Tel Aviv too, and tied his horse up in Dizengoff Center. Such luminaries as Jane Fonda are boycotting the film festival:

Jane Fonda, Danny Glover and Eve Ensler have joined the growing list of artists who are boycotting the Toronto film festival over a program honoring Tel Aviv’s 100th anniversary, gossip blogger Perez Hilton reported on Friday.

The three have added their names to a letter aimed at festival officials claiming that Tel Aviv was built on violence, ignoring the “suffering of thousands of former residents and descendants,” Hilton reported.

Well yes, there was a war here. There were also a few wars between Germany and France. Alsace is also “built on violence, ignoring the ‘suffering of thousands of former residents and descendants.'” What about “former residents” of Washington DC or for that matter Toronto? Or former Jewish residents of Cairo and Baghdad? Is that a reason to boycott the cities? Will Jane Fonda and her friends leave any corner of Israel that may be claimed by Jews as our birthright?

If Tel Aviv does not belong to the Jewish people by right, then surely Beersheba, an Arab town from 640 C.E. until 1948 is Arab by right, and Neve Gordon, the boycott advoca te, should not be living and teaching there. Even the most obtuse boycotters can now understand that the boycott movement is not aimed at ending the occupation, but at ending Israel.

    National Post, September 4, 2009

I’m disappointed with John Greyson’s decision to pull his short documentary out of TIFF [Toronto International Film Festival] in protest over the festival’s decision to highlight Israeli cinema this year. I suppose I’m the “ranking” Canadian-Israeli filmmaker working in this country, having had three feature documentaries at TIFF over the history of the festival. This year, on Sept. 10, I won’t be able to attend the opening because I will be en route to Israel. Now that Mr. Greyson has pulled out he’ll be free to join me on the flight. When we land, I’ll show him around.

In Tel Aviv, he’ll find Muslims strolling the street wearing the hijab. But if he=2 0crosses into Palestinian territory, he will find no Jews strolling the street. In fact, he will find no Jewish cemeteries because even dead Jews are disinterred and not allowed to rest in peace. Of course Israel, like Canada, is not a perfect society. But the question is: Why does my fellow Canadian documentarian choose to so publicly align himself with forces of apartheid, totalitarianism and intolerance against the only democracy in the area?

Here’s a little test that might help Mr. Greyson understand the situation on the ground: Let him walk around Tel Aviv with a sign identifying him as the filmmaker behind Covered, a short doc about the 2008 Sarajevo Queer Festival. I know what will happen. He will be invited to screen the film at the local cinematheque. He can then walk with the same sign down the streets of Palestinian Ramallah. He should document the experience on video and then enter it into next year’s TIFF — posthumously.

  104. birdgal, I can imagine they blame Rahm because they just can’t imagine their messiah would do all the things that he has done without someone making him do them. Of coarse, they say he is weak.
The comments on the Daily Kos last night over the Vann stepping down were quiet amazing.

  105. This is a much bigger undertaking than we originally signed up for. Before we adopt a new baby — Afghanistan — we need to have a new national discussion about this project: what it will cost, how much time it could take, what U.S. interests make it compelling, and, most of all, who is going to oversee this policy?
Another czar. I know an ex czar who isn’t doing anything right now. He would be perfect for the job. Barack loves him and he would be warmly received by the Taliban. He could convince them that white people are the root of all evil, and if the Taliban simply lay down their arms he will get them green jobs. Obama would secretly agree, while telling the world we must stand firm against the Taliban.

  107. NMF, the DailyKooks crowd is quiet upset with Glenn Beck, they want to take him down, and they are plotting to do it. THese folks need a fulltime psychiatrist.

  108. Well if a lot of Genn Beck’s stories start panning out, DailyKooks are going to be in for it, as people will start viewing him as the man that tells it like it is, which is what America is hungry for.

  109. NMF, I agree. I just don’t like it when he rips the Clinton’s. He would be more believable for me if he would quit desecrating Hillary. When he does that I think of the RWN that took her and Bill down.

  110. Saw snippets of Axelgrease this morning and giving credit where it’s due, Gregory tried to nail him on a Jones response and Axel was sweating grease through the tips of his mustache as he struggled to hold to the talking point “I’m here to talk about health reform.’

Problem is, when is it going to dawn on the country that Van jones = jeremiah Wright = louis Farrakhan= Eric Holder = MO BO = Ayers = Alinsky = and the list goes on.

Realist – I have had run ins with my fav brother over this and he basically called me a racist last week for not supporting BO. I was stunned. “So funny now, that they thought me to be a bitter, misguided, borderline racist just a few months ago…

  111. confloyd,

I don’t like the way hannity or Rush do that either. In a way maybe it’s good. Reminds us who they really are.

For now we’re battling a common enemy. BO.

  112. Confloyd,

It stands to reason that both obama and Hillary were kept informed about what was happening with the Lockerbie issue. But this doesn’t take away the fact that Hillary vehemently opposed this monster’s release. As far as obama goes, I doubt his little brain was even aware of the intricacies and seriousness of this issue. He probably took his cue from his handlers and Hillary.

It sounds to me as if the British are trying to save face.

  113. They have a rule in the navy which applies to Obama. The captain is responsible for the ship. And what that means is a second class seaman is on the wheel and runs the ship aground then the seaman is of course responsible, but the captain is also responsible. And, that is perhaps the fastest way there is to end a naval career. On that logic, Obama like every other president before him is responsible for what everyone in his administation says and does. Ergo his sniveling supporters need to knock off the excuses.

  114. “He is also President of the UN General Assembly”

“Sitting beside Mr Gaddafi will be his foreign minister Mousa Kousa, a man long since identified as the architect of the PA103 terrorist plot. Today he is Libya’s globe trotting foreign minister.”

—-For me, the United Nations has now become a dirty word. Democratic nations should be boycotting this event and any other if these two monsters are running the show. The very idea that a miserable murderer likeGaddafi could even hold the presidency position just makes me sick!

Has Colonel Gaddafi lost his chance to meet Barack Obama?

    By Leonard Doyle in Washington
    06 Sep 2009

The wild celebrations that greeted Abdel Basset Ali Megrahi on his return from Scotland have all but ensured that a meeting which Muammar Gaddafi’s had been trying to engineer with Barack Obama in New York will not take place.

Col Gaddafi hoped for a warm embrace from the president, telegraphing that he was no longer an international pariah. The best Col Gaddafi can now hope for is fleeting exchange edge on the edge of an extraordinary United Nations Security Council meeting that both leaders are expected to attend. “I assume that at some point they’ll run into each other,” White House deputy spokesman Bill Burton said last week, “But there’s no scheduled meeting and no plans to schedule one.”

Col Gaddafi has been showered with honours by the international community for the 40th anniversary of his revolution. He is also President of the UN General Assembly and will be holding the gavel as President Obama makes his own first addresses to the world body. A few days later, Mr Gaddafi will take his place around the horseshoe table of the UN Security Council with Mr Obama presiding.

It’s the first time a US president will have attended a Council meeting, signalling the Obama administration’s resolve to use the UN rather than the go it alone approach of recent years.

Sitting beside Mr Gaddafi will be his foreign minister Mousa Kousa, a man long since identified as the architect of the PA103 terrorist plot. Today he is Libya’s globe trotting foreign minister.

The relatives of the victims of Pan Am 103 are planning a demonstration in New York the same day. They want to underline their fury that Abdel Basset Ali Megrahi was sent home to Libya. “I think its stomach turning,” said Stephanie Bernstein who lost her husband Michael in the terrorist bombing and believes that Britain and the US colluded in Megrahi’s return to Tripoli. “I don’t know whether to laugh or cry” she told The Sunday Telegraph, “this entire episode is a farce, all carefully planned and executed to legitimise a terrorist regime.” “The two governments are crawling to Gaddafi because he has the oil,” she said, “The US is even preparing to sell him non lethal military equipment.” The White House has already said President Obama had no plans to meet Col Gaddafi at the UN.

But when he becomes the first US president in history to chair a meeting of the Security Council on 24 September for a debate on nuclear disarmament, Col Gaddafi will again be only steps away. “Col Gaddafi wants a meeting at the highest level as a sign that Libya is finally fully cleared,” said Bruce Riedel, an adviser to President Obama who negotiated Tripoli’s renunciation of terrorism and its weapons of mass destruction programme under the Clinton administration.

“Its going to pose some very awkward moments for President Obama,” he said, “but there is every chance that Libya will misplay its hand.” Col. Gaddafi initially wanted to raise a Bedouin-style tent in New York’s Central Park. When that was blocked Libya suggested pitching the tent in the grounds of a New Jersey mansion that has been under construction since 1982, when it was purchased. That too was stopped when a judge froze the building works.

In a CNN interview on Friday the Libyan leader’s son Saif al Islam Gaddafi said staying in a tent was out of the questions and that his father would either be in a hotel or a house. The US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice publicly warned the Libyan leader against making inflammatory remarks about Megrahi’s release when he speaks to the General Assembly. He has “the potential to either further aggravate those feelings and emotions or not,” she said and advised that he stick to topic of nuclear weapons proliferation.

Mr Riedel, who took part in the first negotiations with Libya, says “the process worked.” It was also important to end sanctions once a country’s aberrant behaviour stopped, he said. Megrahi’s release was not part of that deal, Mr Riedel said. The way the release was handled had deeply angered the Obama Administration. There is fury at the “abysmal” way the Scottish authorities and the Prime minister handled the public presentation of the release, he said. “If there was some transparency and up front senior attention to the matter it would not be creating the storm we are seeing today,” he said.

“The last thing (President Obama) needs right now is a public dust up,” which is coming, “just as he is trying to deal with health care and Afghanistan.” Vince Cannistraro who headed the CIA’s intelligence investigation of PA 103 told The Sunday Telegraph that there was real anger in the Obama Administration over Megrahi’s release. “There was strong advisement” from the administration that he should stay in jail.

“But the US also realised that what happened was legal under Scottish law and that it couldn’t stop it,” he said.

  116. The dims protests that the controversy over bambi’s education speech is just “silly business”, is such as joke.

People aren’t complaining about his stupid speech as much as they are outraged over the “lesson plans” that accompany his stupid speech.
