The only open opposition to this legislation is from the bat-shit crazy wing-nuts who believe that Health Care is a privilege. The result is that the only funding structure that can provide affordable health care to all Americans, single-payer, is not being discussed. Again, those people who raise the "bloody flag" of socialized medicine when single-payer is discussed and who have health insurance, are in for a big surprise if/when they really need it. If a person can't write a series of $500, $1000, $10,000, $30,000 checks to cover co-pays, denial of benefits, balance billing, etc. then that person will be among the large number of people filing for bankruptcy, due to medical bills. something is NOT always better than nothing.
