It’s difficult, but not impossible, to turn down an invitation from the President. Wasn’t there a football player recently who refused Obama’s invitation? And got roundly bashed by the blogs for it?

I hope Crawley at least sets certain terms for the meeting – primarily: no photos.

The reason they will double team his is not because they are black and he is white. They will doubleteam him because they are friends, each of them screwed up, and they do not want a complaining witness who could undermine their respective careers. If he goes alone he is making a mistake.

as i recall, tiger woods turned-down (snubbed) an invite to join Bill Clinton at shea stadium to commemorate jackie robinson. tiger felt he was being “used” ..

I don’t know all the details, and Crowley may have gone too far in arresting Gates, but Gates was acting like a fool and a buffoon. The last thing that I would do, would yell at police officers. Good way to get my a** thrown in jail. He was a jerk and BO should have answered the question differently.

Mrs. Smith, obviously I can’t tell you who told me this about Washington. But there were two different people and they worked with him. One of these people is a well-known TV personality. When someone else said she thought Washington was “super hot” this person responded that he was not very fond of white people.

Of course Mrs. Smith. But they are the ones who have the power to say yes or no. What we need here is a good national poll on whether this incident should be swept under the carpet with a phony council, or litigated in a public forum with all material evidence coming into the record. If I were a police officer black or white I would want it that way. Race baiters attack black cops as well–call them uncle Toms. Look at what they did to Clarence Thomas whether you agreee with his judicial philosophy or you dont. The poll should be of law enforcement officers throughout the country, and if it turns out as I suspect it will then that will give spine to Crowley, Cambridge. The truth is Bambi and Crowley are guilty of the very sort of racial stereotyping which they object to when they are the target. They are the worst kind of hypocites. Again, again, again–they will DOUBLE TEAM him so he best not go to the White House for that beer alone, if he goes at all.
