"Obama is cute. He is charming. But there is something rotten inside him. Unlike the Republicans who backed George W. Bush, I won’t follow a terrible leader just because I voted for him. Obama has revealed himself. He is a monster, and he should remove himself from power."

Don’t you realize by now that bambi and his thugs are exempt from taking any and all responsibility for what they say and do? bambi has rewritten the rules on political ethics. He can point the finger, ridicule, search and destroy, but he himself walks on water

Woodward Plots to Capture Obama White House in Next Book: Beltway insiders say the White House appears to be taking pains to avoid leaks to the Washington Post icon, who is working on a new book about the administration

FOXNews.com
Saturday, May 30, 2009

Best-selling journalist Bob Woodward has found the topic for his next book: The Obama administration. And apparently that has the Obama White House circling the wagons.

White House Counsel Greg Craig circulated a memo inside the West Wing earlier this month instructing officials hit up for information by authors or journalists writing on the administration to clear interview requests with the press office. An Obama spokesman told The New Republic that the memo was not sent in regards to a specific journalist, but Beltway insiders say the White House probably is taking pains to avoid leaks to the Washington Post icon.

"Every White House is wary of Woodward," New York Times White House correspondent Peter Baker, who worked alongside Woodward at the Post, told The New Republic.

Woodward, who has been quietly reporting a new book on the Obama White House since the inauguration, is seen as highly motivated to hit a homerun after his last project, "The War Within" -- the fourth and final book he wrote on the Bush administration -- only sold 159,000 copies, according to Nielsen BookScan. His third Bush installment, "State of Denial," sold more than half a million.

Woodward told The New Republic he's "making progress" on the Obama book. "Over my four decades of working on books, you find that some people will help, some people won't help," Woodward told the magazine. "Some will help at certain stages and not at others, some people won't help at the beginning but will help later on. That's reporting."

“I think if she had the speech to do all over again, I think she’d change that word,” presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters.”
------------------------------------
There are no do-overs in life. She is bound by what she said. And regardless of what the pathetic Pillsbury doughboy Gibbs says, that was a speech, not an off the cuff remark, the difference being that she had the opportunity to weigh the words, and deliberate over them before they were uttered. Therefore, she is in a double bind,

Hillary goes to India in July! S. M. Krishna, her newly appointed Indian counterpart is a fashionable modern man with egalitarian outlook, according to my brother in India.

www dot indianexpress dot com/news/hillary-calls-krishna-likely-to-visit-india-in-july/468493/

The article has a nice picture of Hillary. As you may know, India had an election with the incumbent party (Congress) winning with a greater majority. As one journalist reported people went for those candidates who showed modesty, honesty and seriousness, among them even some young women who routed old long term male politicians -- people went for their education and the smarts. India also used its e-voting machines successfully second time in a row since 2004. On NQ we had a discussion with a woman who is fighting to go back to paper ballots. If India can pull off a successful e-voting, why can't the US? Well, it is rhetorical question, don't answer it. India has a non-partisan election commission that does not answer to any political wing and takes its duty seriously (of course there are corrupt politicians who try to bribe the electorate but since it is a secret ballot, the voters need not vote they way they were bribed!). If anybody is interested about their e-voting machines, check their website (google India election commission, read about the voting machines design, it is a combination of low-tech and hi-tech to prevent fraud -- of course, US being the wealthy first world country have to have all fancy machines made by some corporate bigwig who does not release their proprietary s/w, that is capitalism for you).
