Treachery Tales, Part I

Those darn Bush W. supporters kept coming up with excuses for Bush W. no matter what Katrina disaster Bush W. bungled – and now those darn Obama supporters, the mirror image of Bush W. supporters, make excuses for Obama no matter what disasters and treacheries Obama authors. But some Obama supporters are indeed waking up.

No, we don’t mean and you should not believe the hypocrites on PINO Big Blogs and Big Media and in the Hopium dens of Bush W. Obama now when they defend Sonia Sotomayor on the basis of opposition to misogyny. These hypocrites are only pretending they care about misogyny and sexism but these treacherous swine are only wielding the “sexist!” charge to make up for their own misogyny and sexism against Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin and a long list of women they have battered.

The misogyny on PINO Big Blogs and Big Media which we have repeatedly written about is one of the reasons many of these boys want pink websites to disappear and no longer remind them of their shame. But we are not the only ones aware of the shame of the Democratic Left and their PINO Big Blogs and their Big Media wingnuts.

It would be a stupid mistake for conservatives to take the road most traveled by the left in its decimation of Sarah Palin. Republicans or Democrats who resort to suggesting that smart women aren’t should be sent to the political dunce’s auditorium, the wilderness dutifully staked out by the Republican Party. Why? I’d like to say because respecting women’s intelligence is the right thing to do. But I’ll be more practical. Question the intelligence of a woman who has worked hard and achieved much against odds, and you will really irritate women. Really. Ask those Hillary Clinton supporters and those Sarah Palin supporters. They didn’t agree on much, but neither group liked watching male politicians diss women.

Dimocratic misogynists and sexists like Howard Dean, PINO writer Hendrik Hertzberg who denigrated sexism while pretending not to, in order to elevate “RACISM!”, and the typical frat boy Big Blogs as well as the women lawyer run misogynist websites, will all now thunder against sexism and misogyny but they are hypocrites. When it counted, they proved themselves misogynists by trashing women candidates like Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin with the tried and true sexist methods they will now denounce conservatives for employing.

We wrote in The Shame Of The Democratic Left, Part I:

The misogyny, sexism and gay-bashing by Democrats that occurred in the 2008 election cycle is an open sore that will not heal. The leadership of the Democratic Left increasingly proved itself to be a misogynistic and anti-gay coalition. The words are “progressive”. The actions contradict the words. We know actions speak louder than words.

As bad as women have been and will continue to be battered by Obama and his supporters, Gay-Americans will be even worse off.

Gay-Americans are hearing from Obama supporters the usual excuses of ‘shut up, Obama is busy and wonderful, your problems are nothing compared to the sufferings of wonderful Obama, so just shut up and get in line and Obama will get to your problems when he deigns to so shut up because you don’t understand the master plan of wonderful Obama and anyway you threaten the new Obama coalition of socially conservative African-Americans and eventually Evangelicals so shut up and stop complaining about your stupid rights, it’s only sex anyway and racism is much worse, so what if Gays have been tortured and tormented for centuries and centuries and millennia upon millennia – that is nothing compared to RACISM which Obama has suffered and besides he has a funny name he had to overcome so shut up and praise Obama’. Perhaps that is why Gay-Americans are among the first of Obama supporters to be waking up.

Fraud

But just wait, it will get much worse for Gay-Americans under Obama and his Dimocrats.

Just wait until the Dimocratic Party and Barack Obama and his gang of thugs at Alcoholics Obama Anonymous (OA) tell Gay-Americans in California and elsewhere not to place any Gay marriage or civil rights ballot initiatives in 2010 or 2012 because it could hurt Dimocrats at the polls in election years. That outrage is sure to come.

Gay citizens of California (and yes that includes African-Americans) were betrayed by Obama voters in 2008. Gay citizens of California were betrayed by their own leaders, and the “Hollywood community“, and Gay “writers”, who whoreshipped Obama.

Now with the Proposition 8 victory on election day and recently in the courts, Gay Americans in California, led into a trap by their “leaders”, are wandering around like lost sheep. Some are “clinging” with “hope” on the courts even though the Supreme Court is controlled by the right wing.

To be absolutely fair, that right wing court has actually produced some very good rulings on gay rights (but you won’t hear that from Dimocrats who fear monger about the Supreme Court every presidential election cycle). These wandering Gay-American sheep who cling to hopey-dopey-changey from Obama should ask themselves why Obama chose Sonia Sotomayor without asking her position on Gay-rights or Gay-marriage. [Hint: he’s just not that into your concerns about civil rights.]

The remote possibility of a right wing Supreme Court upholding Gay marriage and overturning the Proposition 8 ban on Gay marriage at the ballot (with Obama supporters providing the crucial votes needed to discriminate against Gay-Americans) aside, there are some efforts underway in the courts:

Eight and a half years after their epic partisan battle over the fate of the 2000 presidential election, the lawyers David Boies and Theodore B. Olson appeared on the same team on Wednesday as co-counsel in a federal lawsuit that has nothing to do with hanging chads, butterfly ballots or Electoral College votes.

Their mutual goal: overturning Proposition 8, California’s freshly affirmed ban on same-sex marriage. It is a fight that jolted many gay rights advocates — and irritated more than a few — but that Mr. Boies and Mr. Olson said was important enough to, temporarily at least, set aside their political differences. [snip]

The duo’s complaint, filed last week in Federal District Court in San Francisco on behalf of two gay couples and formally announced Wednesday at a news conference in Los Angeles, argues against Proposition 8 on the basis of federal constitutional guarantees of equal protection and due process.

In the end, the two lawyers suggested, the case might take them, again, to the United States Supreme Court. [snip]

On Wednesday, veterans of the legal battles over same-sex marriage questioned the suit’s timing, particularly when a conservative majority holds sway in the Supreme Court.

Whatever happens with the lawsuit, it is clear that the Proposition 8 Gay marriage ban will not be resolved by election day 2010. Dimocrats will not be happy:

If gay rights groups get their way, the nominees to succeed Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will share the November 2010 ballot with a measure to repeal Proposition 8, turning an emotionally charged cultural issue into a central focus of the campaign.

Gay-Americans in California and their “leaders” better be prepared to be told to ‘shut up, this election is too important to imperil it with your problems’.

Already Gay “leaders” in California who are beholden to Dimocrats are stomping on the possibility of a ballot initiative in 2010. The public reason will be ‘not ready’. The real reason is Dimocrats do not care about this issue, they want to win elections first and foremost and with ease.

Gay-Americans and other Obama supporters better prepare themselves for more Treachery from Dimocrats, Obama and Obama’s Hopium addled supporters.

Let Them Eat Cake

Don’t bother petitioning Barack Obama for a redress of grievances. Barack Obama, the imperious yet bowing vassal to the Saudi Arabian king, can’t be bothered to take notice of Americans with grievances.

The maligned Marie Antoinette is falsely supposed to have replied to the hungry cries of French peasants for “bread!” with the uninformed and callous riposte “Let them eat cake.” Marie, was also blamed for the penurious French treasury and tarred with the epithet Madame Déficit.

Barack Obama is our own real life Madame Déficit and yesterday he regaled Hollywood’s high and mighty powers with his own version of “Let them eat cake.”

Last year Obama visited California and while there among his rich, callous, “creative class” friends, Obama sniffed that small town Americans were “bitter” and clung to God and guns. Yesterday, Obama visited California to once again raise money and fully displayed his contempts.

Speaking to a well-heeled audience of campaign donors in Beverly Hills, Obama was strikingly upbeat and assured. [snip]

The enthusiasm inside the Beverly Hilton was palpable — the president was greeted with repeated ovations — and the payoff was handsome: between $3 million and $4 million in contributions to the Democratic National Committee.

But Obama notably sidestepped two of the biggest issues facing California: He said nothing about the state’s disastrous financial condition or the issue of same-sex marriage, which heated up Tuesday when the state Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8, a measure banning the practice.

All those movie stars and rich people were content to applaud Obama but not one, not a single big Democratic liberal, raised the question of civil rights for Gay-Americans or the financial disaster faced by the citizens of California. Not a single movie star or Democratic donor had the decency to put aside their dinner (roasted tenderloin, grilled organic chicken and sun choke rosemary mashed potatoes) and raise the standard for those demonstrating outside. Jamie Foxx, Marisa Tomei, Kiefer Sutherland, Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith, Holly Robinson Peete, Tyler Perry, Nicky Hilton, Seth Rogin, all remained silent. Outside however:

Outside the hotel, about 200 demonstrators chanted and carried flags and protest signs, many urging Obama to take a stronger stand in favor of gay rights.

“The president made a promise when he made his speech about hope,” said Rick Jacobs, one of the protest organizers. “I bought that promise and I still buy that promise, but it’s time for him to start fulfilling that promise for all Americans.”

Rick Jacobs is a fool for believing that gay-bashing Obama can be trusted.

Hollywood powers, big Democratic donors remained quiet, Obama however could not contain his arrogance and contempt for those outside, the little people that believed him, the fools that believed him:

“There were some protestors out here, I could hear them vaguely -– I don’t know what they were protesting. I think there was a group of them. But one of them started to chant, ‘Obama keep your promise’. And I thought that’s fair.”

Most of those outside were protesting Proposition 8. The protests were well advertised and it is impossible to believe the Obama advance teams did not inform him of what was going to happen outside his rich dinner.

Some were protesting for civil rights, others were protesting another Obama broken promise – the one regarding the Armenian genocide. Obama was too busy to even pretend to care.

Obama chose to pretend to not know what the protests were about. It doesn’t matter to Obama what promises Americans want kept, he intends to ignore them all – Americans and promises.

Earlier in the week Lorri Jean of the Gay and Lesbian Center in Los Angeles wrote an open letter to Obama:

You are arriving in Los Angeles on the heels of emotional demonstrations throughout California and our nation and your silence at such a time speaks volumes. LGBT people and our allies have the “audacity to hope” for a country that treats us fairly and equally and for a President with the will to stand up for those ideals. From you we expect nothing less.

We know the country faces many serious challenges and we have strived to be patient. We’ve waited for the slightest sign you would live up to your promise to be a “fierce advocate” for our equal rights while watching gay and lesbian members of the armed forces, who have never been more needed, get discharged from the military. And so far you have done nothing. No stop loss order. No call to cease such foolish and discriminatory actions that make our nation less safe.

You pledged to repeal the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, Mr. President. You promised to support a “complete repeal” of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act and pledged to advocate for legislation that would give same-sex couples the 1,100+ federal rights and benefits we are denied, including the same rights to social security benefits. You said, “federal law should not discriminate in any way against gay and lesbian couples.”

What of those promises, Mr. President?

Your commitment to repeal DOMA has been removed from the White House website. Your promise to repeal “don’t ask, don’t tell” was removed and then replaced with a watered-down version. And in the aftermath of yesterday’s California Supreme Court ruling, you have remained silent while your press secretary summarily dismisses questions about the issue.

We not only need to hear from our President, we need his action. And we need it now.

We need your words, Mr. President. But we also need your deeds. We expect you to fulfill the promises you made to us. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us, “Justice too long delayed is justice denied.” Do not delay, Mr. President. The time for action is now.

Lorrie Jean is learning that

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

Some few, Hopium addled Gay-Americans are waking up. Yesterday, some carried Obama posters with “HOPE” appropriately retagged “FRAUD”.

Fraud

Other fools are still HOPEing Obama will keep his promises.

The fools certainly better not expect that Obama cared one whit about the opinion and thoughts of Sonia Sotomayor regarding Gay civil rights. He didn’t bother to ask or find out. Ditto with abortion rights.

Hillary of course, cares about civil rights for Gay Americans. Even on the controversial issue of marriage rights, Obama’s objections to gay marriage rights were based on his personal prejudices. Hillary’s opposition to Gay marriage were based on her observation that most Americans were not ready to recognize Gay marriage – she left the door open to pushing for the issue at the slightest opportunity.

In the past Hillary has marched in countless Gay Pride parades – when it was politically dangerous to do so. Obama has never marched in a Gay Pride parade. Maybe Gay leaders should get a clue.

Now Hillary has approved partner benefits for State Department workers.

In a notice to be sent soon to State Department employees, Clinton says regulations that denied same-sex couples and their families the same rights and privileges that straight diplomats enjoyed are “unfair and must end,” as they harm U.S. diplomacy.

“Providing training, medical care and other benefits to domestic partners promote the cohesiveness, safety and effectiveness of our posts abroad,” she says in the message, a copy of which was obtained by The Associated Press.

“It will also help the department attract and retain personnel in a competitive environment where domestic partner benefits and allowances are increasingly the norm for world-class employers,” she says.

“At bottom, the department will provide these benefits for both opposite-sex and same-sex domestic partners because it is the right thing to do,” Clinton says.

Among the benefits that will now be granted gay diplomats: the right of domestic partners to hold diplomatic passports, government-paid travel for their partners and families to and from foreign posts, and the use of U.S. medical facilities abroad.

In addition, gay diplomats’ families will now be eligible for U.S. government emergency evacuations and training courses at the Foreign Service Institute, the message says.

Hillary can be trusted, not blindly, but because she has a lifetime of experience and a record of accomplishment and keeping her word and getting things done.

Obama? Can’t be trusted. Let the Hopium addled chew on that.

The Persistence Of Memory

Bill Clinton is beginning to speak out about what happened during last year’s primaries and at the same time we learn more about how Obama’s friends protected Obama.

Big Media cheers on those that keep the Obama secrets but will demand everyone else reveal every single detail of their lives, their friends’ lives and their relatives’ lives and their business relationships.

Big Media did not investigate nor vet Obama but rather Big Media continues to cheer how Obama has thus far evaded instead of revealed.

* * * * *

The L.A. Times is the latest cheerleader for the unvetted Obama.

Obama can thank Jack for keeping the roll of photographs she took of him in 1980 out of circulation until he was elected. Nine were first published in Time magazine’s December “Person of the Year” spread on Obama; now 21 of the 36 photos, plus a blow-up of her original contact sheet, make up “Barack Obama: The Freshman,” an exhibition opening Thursday at M+B Gallery in West Hollywood.

Jack rummaged for the long-ignored negatives in her Minneapolis basement early in 2008, after it became clear Obama was a serious contender for the presidency. The callow kid kicking back on a couch in a living room near L.A.’s Occidental College, where he and Jack were students, may not have been the image the Obama campaign wanted to project.

Instead of condemnation for keeping information from the voting public the L.A. Times celebrates the secreting of photographs which conflicted with the false image of Obama his campaign had concocted.

‘The public be damned, advance Obama’s personal interests’ is what the sleezy photographer prioritized. And Big Media cheers. And of course, who is the villian in this ugly Obama narrative told by Big Media? Hillary:

“I’m sure Hillary would have paid a fortune for them: ‘Is this who you want picking up the phone at 3 a.m.?’ ” Jack said from Minneapolis, her discourse earthy, humorous and freewheeling, sometimes salty. “I could have made a boatload of money, probably, but I wanted to do it right.”

The sleezy photographer thought her friend Obama’s interests were more important than Americans getting information about the flim-flam man from Chicago.

We learn from the sleezy photographer, who kept information from the voting public, that Obama has always calculated and created his image to impress the boobs that are easy to impress:

There was nothing out of the ordinary about the session, Jack says, although it impressed her that Obama had taken the initiative to bring the big, banded hat, a leather, bomber-style jacket with a fur collar and cigarettes as grist for her lens. “He obviously thought about how he wanted to have his picture taken.” Obama shared at least one characteristic with the other students who sat for her portraits: “I think the thing that everybody was trying to portray the most was how cool they were.”

Jack appreciated Obama when she ran into him that summer in a Honolulu nightclub — he a local, she a visiting summer student. “He was sitting there with a woman on each lap. They were babes, and I’m not a babe.” But the president-to-be extricated himself, came over to Jack’s table and chatted. That he’d show such courtesy while otherwise engaged “told me Obama was a cool dude,” Jack says.

The sleezy photographer knew she had information of value but decided to keep it secret in order to protect Obama. Time magazine also kept the Obama secrets. The Time photo editor who saw the Obama pictures before the election now works for Obama:

As his bandwagon rolled toward the White House last year, Jack knew her pictures would have both historical interest and cash value. At Time magazine, chief photo editor Alice Gabriner viewed the contact sheet Jack had sent on spec before the election and was impressed. “She’d captured something we hadn’t seen before.” When the discussion turned to payment, Gabriner said, “She was really a novice. I told her, ‘You have to think what’s the right home for these. I’m sure a tabloid would pay you a lot of money.’ She said, ‘No, no tabloids.’ ”

Gabriner, who left Time in March to become deputy director of the White House photo staff, says she’s never heard what Obama thought of Jack’s pictures.

Is there any question as to why the American public no longer values Big Media outlets when repeatedly, whether with regards to ACORN or these photographs, the Big Media goal is to protect Obama?

It is hard to measure who is sleezier: the photographer who kept information from the public which would have helped inform the public about who Obama really is; or the Time magazine photo editor who knew about the pictures and their value before the election but kept quiet and now works for Obama at the White House.

The sleezy photo editor has been paid back for her silence and loyalty with a White House job. The sleezy photographer expects to make huge amounts of money by selling pints for thousands of dollars each.

As with all Obama sleezy friends, payment from Obama is expected by the Rezko sleezy photographer, “I’m looking forward to my invitation to the White House, because he owes me.”

The New York Times on Sunday will publish another handwringing profile on President Bill Clinton in the magazine section.

We learn a bit more about the ugly cynicism behind the “racist!” charge as well as the torments deserved by Ted and Caroline Kennedy:

People close to Clinton said he has largely got over his resentment at Obama but not toward Ted Kennedy and his niece, Caroline Kennedy. As Clinton sees it, they say, he did so much for the Kennedys over the years that he felt they became almost family. Nor has he forgiven Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who endorsed Obama even though Clinton appointed him to two cabinet posts. And the man once called the “first black president” remains deeply wounded by allegations that he made racially insensitive remarks during the campaign, like dismissing Obama’s South Carolina win by comparing it with Jesse Jackson’s victories there in the 1980s.

None of them ever really took seriously the race rap,” he told me. “They knew it was politics. I had one minister in Texas in the general election come up and put his arm around me.” This was an Obama supporter. “And he came up, threw his arm around me and said, ‘You’ve got to forgive us for that race deal.’ He said, ‘That was out of line.’ But he said, ‘You know, we wanted to win real bad.’ And I said, ‘I got no problem with that.’ I said it’s fine; it’s O.K. And we laughed about it and we went on.” The other side is moving on, too. Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina, who once recalled an angry Clinton berating him on the phone for criticizing the former president’s campaign rhetoric, is letting bygones be bygones, at least publicly. “No fence-mending is needed,” Clyburn said through a spokeswoman.

Bill Clinton is generous and might be willing to forgive being called a racist. But we will never forgive being called racists by the race-baiting Obama and his Hopium addled race-baiters.

We will never forgive the lies told by Ted Kennedy and we will never forget the nonsense spouted by the now discredited Caroline Kennedy who we will continue to thwart every time she emerges from her slimy environs.

Bill Clinton is generous and forgiving and has turned former enemies into friends. Christopher Ruddy who claimed (as did Obama’s Hopium addled supporters last year) that Bill friend Ron Brown had been assassinated and Bill friend Vince Foster has been murdered along with other lurid accusations now considers Bill Clinton a friend:

Ruddy today is the founder and chief executive of Newsmax, a conservative news-magazine. He told me he came around on Clinton after Ed Koch, the former New York mayor, introduced them. That led to lunches and more contacts, and now Ruddy says he was wrong about Clinton. “I do consider Bill Clinton a friend, and I think he would consider me a friend,” Ruddy said. “And to think of all the wars we went through in the ’90s, it seems almost surreal.

With the passage of time, Ruddy said he came to believe that Clinton was much less liberal than his enemies thought. After all, Clinton overhauled welfare, tamed the deficit and promoted free trade. While still a proud “Reagan conservative,” Ruddy said he now thinks the attacks on Clinton in the 1990s went too far. “Did we like and enjoy all the salacious reporting and all the stuff going on in the ’90s?” he asked. “I guess we thought, This is just politics. But looking back at my role, I was probably over the top. And if I knew then what I know today, I wouldn’t have pursued some of that stuff as aggressively as I did. I did an honest reporter’s job. But I have a different take on it now.”

Ruddy also attributes his change of heart to Clinton’s foundation, which has impressed him and other onetime foes. Richard Mellon Scaife, the billionaire publisher who financed Ruddy’s investigations and other anti-Clinton activities, is now a contributor to the foundation. So is Rupert Murdoch, the News Corporation chairman whose Fox News was a regular thorn in Clinton’s side. Clinton over the years has also made peace with other former adversaries, like Bob Dole and Newt Gingrich. The elder George Bush told me he now considers Clinton “a real friend.” When I asked what changed his view, he wrote in an e-mail message: “I didn’t know him personally back then. I knew him, but not up close and personal. Now I do.”

Never did we think that we would consider monsters like Christopher Ruddy and Richard Mellon Scaife and Rupert Murdoch and George H.W. Bush as more honorable than Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy – but now we do and we will no longer defend Ted Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy nor moan about their miseries because in 2008 they exhibited a total lack of honor and decency.

The New York Times profile ends with a subtle story which says so much about who Bill Clinton is and why we and other Americans respect him so:

Still, as he boarded the plane in Medellín one night, he posed on the tarmac with the local security officers who had been guarding him, as he dutifully does at every stop. He seemed tired and not particularly interested, but he did not complain. Climbing the stairs to leave, though, he noticed some other officers. “Were you in the picture?” he asked. Then to an aide, he said, “These guys weren’t in the picture.” He came back down the stairs and posed again.

At all the fancy Democratic dinners and events we have attended we make it a point to thank and be respectful to waiters and receptionists and all the “help”. We have always noticed how few Democrats take that time to be courteous to the “servants” while making great speeches about the “little people” and how much Democrats care about the “little people”.

Bill Clinton has always cared about people, Put People First, and never thought of them as “little”. Bill Clinton always made sure to thank the band that played at his events and took time to thank the waiters and the cooks at his events. We are glad to see Bill is still that decent man from Hope.

We remember. We won’t forget.

Obama Goes A-Courting

Two stories today on how Obama goes a-courting.

On the day Justice Souter announced his resignation from the Supreme Court we wrotewe think the replacement, even with opposition, will likely be Latina Judge Sonia Sotomayo of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals“.

The appointment of Sotomayor will likely be confirmed by the Senate with a few bumps only. The appointment of Sotomayor is entirely predictable and not surprising in the least. Sotomayor will likely vote along the lines of Justice Souter. For all the hoopla publicity surrounding any Supreme Court appointment, for all the breathless hyperventilation on other web sites and “news” outlets, this one will likely not change much in the field of jurisprudence nor the direction of the court.

For Obama the Sotomayor appointment was close to a “must do” for the Latino and Women communities. This was not a high-minded, requires deep thought decision. It was a check the boxes decision. It is entirely consistent with Obama’s lack of everything except concern for his personal advancement.

* * * * *

The treacheries of Barack Obama came to full flower today in California.

Don’t expect too much analysis of how very responsible and how very treacherous Obama has been from other websites and “news” outlets. Others will concentrate on what the Sotomayor appointment says about Obama but few will dare write about the much more illuminating events today in California and what they say about Obama the treacherous.

The California Supreme Court upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage Tuesday, but it also decided that the estimated 18,000 gay couples who tied the knot before the law took effect will stay wed.

Demonstrators outside the court yelled “shame on you!”

The 6-1 decision written by Chief Justice Ron George rejected an argument by gay rights activists that the ban revised the California Constitution’s equal protection clause to such a dramatic degree that it first needed the Legislature’s approval.

The court said the Californians have a right, through the ballot box, to change their constitution.

Let us make clear – this was a foolish lawsuit whose real intent was to hide the complicity of gay community “leaders” in the passage of Proposition 8.

This was a foolish lawsuit because the issues presented to the court had already been litigated before the vote when gay marriage proponents made the same arguments before the same court. [The argument essentially was whether Proposition 8 was an amendment or merely a revision to the California constitution.]

Again, this was a foolish lawsuit intended to protect gay community “leaders” who sought to protect themselves, from a righteously angry gay community, by attempting to relitigate the already litigated issues.

These gay community “leaders” are complicit in this ugly episode because when it was time to stand up for their community and against Barack Obama these “leaders” remained silent.

We wrote about the complicity of gay community “leaders” in The Shame Of The Democratic Left, Part III:

The Democratic Left, and yes, Gay-American leaders, threw Gay-Americans under the bus this past year in order to worship at the unworthy Barack Obama’s altar. Now the Democratic Left and Gay-American leaders are whining that Obama has stabbed them in the back.

Not once during the primaries nor during the general election did these leaders hold Obama to account. Not once did these leaders threaten to withhold votes the only language political thugs like Obama understand. Now they are whining.

Barack Obama has indeed stabbed Gay-Americans in the back. Barack Obama can’t be trusted… by friend nor foe… Obama simply can’t be trusted. But the very late protests by the Democratic Left are whines from hypocrites.

One of the issues on which we prominently opposed Obama was the issue of gay rights. We prophetically wrote:

Gay-Americans must realize that Obama has gay-bashed in the past. If it comes down to getting votes from evangelical voters, socially conservative African-Americans or any constitutency group – Obama will betray Gay-Americans:

Now gay leaders and the Democratic Left are whining that Obama is not being nice. Where were these leaders when it counted? Hypocrites. Gay-Americans – Black Gay Americans too – will be the ones hurt because the so-called gay leadership and the Democratic Left sold them out.

More to the point, we wrote:

These same hypocrite/fools also knew that the Proposition 8 (Gay Marriage Ban) proponents were using Obama’s anti gay-marriage words in their literature and using Obama’s anti gay-marriage words in their automatic phone calls – particularly targeting African-Americans. Yet these hypocrite/fools did not demand that Obama personally campaign prominently against Proposition 8. On election day most California African-American voters celebrated by denying Gay-Americans a basic civil right and applauding ugly prejudice.

Obama went a-courting today. We expect Americans will get screwed.

Days Of Memory

On the day North Korea explodes an atomic bomb and threatens more such tests, as well as launches three short range missiles, we recall The Great War, The War To End All Wars – that was World War I. The lessons of that war still shape our world today. It appears nation states do not learn their lessons, but instead will foolishly repeat those mistakes.

It is a dangerous time we live in. There is an inexperienced, unqualified boob at the helm.

The nuclear test was a major diplomatic challenge to Obama at a time when he is facing a global economic crisis and working to curb Iran’s nuclear enrichment program, which the West fears is aimed at producing nuclear arms but Tehran says is for energy.

It is a dangerous time for inexperienced boobery.

* * * * *

Verdun, should be a pilgrimage site for Americans on a first trip ever to the European continent. There, a great battle took place. From February until December, on a small piece of terrain, the battle chewed upon 700,000 casualties. It was the most vicous battle ever.

There is no monument in the nation’s capital dedicated to the Americans who fought in World War I. Many Americans and Europeans, if not most, have forgotten the Lost Generation and the lessons for us today.

The primary fact of this world – and the first thing that young people noticed about it – was that it was being rapidly transformed by technology. Europeans were being freed increasingly from the traditional constraints imposed on mankind by nature. Life was becoming safer, cleaner, more comfortable, and longer for most sectors of the population. Death had not been vanquished but its arrival was now more predictable, and the physician, along with the engineer, had been elevated to the priesthood of the new civilization.

The arrogance then, the arrogance now, “predictable” but not vanquished death somehow has made a triumphal return to unpredicability. The foolish leaders which led to the charnel house of 1916 have different names today, but the same pedigree of arrogance.

* * * * *

Many Americans went “over there” to fight the great fight. Before the reality overtook the ideas of glory many Americans marched off to war.

There is only 1 veteran of the “great war” alive today.

Frank Buckles still fights at 108 years of age.

“Right from the start I was very conscious of the war being a very serious situation,” says Frank Buckles of Chalres Town, W. Va. The war he’s referring to is the First World War.

Buckles is the only known living American veteran of that war.

Though Buckles is now 108 years old, in 1917 at age 16 he was too young to enlist. So he said he lied to the army recruiter. “I didn’t lie, I just misrepresented,” he says with a laugh.

Buckles’ misrepresentation worked and he became an U.S. Army corporal.

“I went overseas in December 1917 on the Carpathia the ship that came to the rescue of the Titanic,” he said. The RMS Carpathia was bound for England but that wasn’t where the action was.

“I was all gung ho to get to France,” Buckles says. “A regular army sergeant said to get into France in a hurry, you go into the ambulance corp.” Buckles had learned to drive on his family farm so he joined the motor pool and then escorted Germans back to Germany after the armistice.

The First World War was a global military conflict which involved almost all of the world’s great powers. Over 70 million military personnel were mobilized in one of the largest wars in history. Over 15 million people were killed during the conflict, making it one of the deadliest conflicts in human history.

The war didn’t diminish Buckles’ wanderlust. Soon after the war he got a job with an international shipping company. He was working in Manila when the Japanese attacked the American fleet at Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. As the Japanese swept across the Pacific, Buckles was captured and spent three years in a prison camp.

Even with only a few years between the world wars the lessons of weakness had not been learned by the time of Pearl Harbor. Frank Buckles witnessed that foolish forgetfullness.

Frank Buckles fight is for memory, to not be forgotten, for the lessons to be learned.

Though he is many decades removed from harm’s way, Buckles says he has one more battle to fight. There is no World War One memorial in Washington, DC, only a dilapidated monument honoring area residents who died in the war. Buckles says he is fighting for his fellow veterans to be remembered on the National Mall.

“I hope they’ll have something of national importance,” says Buckles, who is honorary chairman of the World War 1 Memorial Foundation.

Frank Buckles is fighting his last fight for memory. Buckles does not want events he witnessed to fade away from history.

We respect Frank Buckles’ fight for memory. We won’t forget the events we witnessed either and will continue to fight not to have them fade from history.

More Obama Disasters: California Screaming, Guantanamo Scheming

Update: Paul Krugman this Monday, May 25, follows our lead and asks if the nation will follow California and become ungovernable.
————————————————–

Elect a funny named celebrity with zero to little experience, who loves adoring crowds and self-promoting publicity stunts instead of preparation and hard work, who has Kennedy connections, who promises to be a uniter not a divider, who promises change and a “new” way of doing things, who promises to be fiscally responsible even as spend, spend, spend is the order of the day and you will get a disaster.

As California goes, so goes the nation. California elected Arnold Schwarzenegger, with zero experience and a Kennedy wife, along with all the above “qualifications” and now California is a disaster. California is the future of the United States. California gave us Schwarzenegger and then Obama. When will they learn? When will Americans learn? Elect a boob, expect boobery.

In defense of California, Democrats there voted by large margins for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 primaries over the Schwarzenegger wannabee. California has also started on the way to sanity by beating all the Schwarzenegger machinations this past Tuesday. Dimocrats who think a realignment has occurred should look to California to see the electoral and financial future, as all five of the Schwarzenegger ballot gimmicks went down to defeat.

Schwarzenegger and California Dimocrats will soon expect Obama to bail the state out of self created financial hell. Already the propaganda has started that California, like GM and assorted others, is “too big to fail”. Californians this past Tuesday made it clear they expect more than words and fakery to solve the current crisis. But in the Age of Fake, words are what the men with funny names offer.

Obama has been busy though. On Tuesday he hosted Schwarzenegger who was too busy enjoying a joint publicity stunt with Obama in Washington to campaign for his measures in California on election day. Yesterday, Obama was busy again. Yesterday Obama bamboozled on Guantanamo.

Frankly, there is not much to say about the Obama speech of yesterday. We said it all before, months ago. On January 12 of this year, in Obama Is The Third Bush Term, Part II – Guantanamo we wrote:

The New York Times and the Nutroots and the Big Blog PINOs will cover for Obama, we won’t. We will trumpet loudly when Obama breaks a promise. [snip]

Obama on Sunday “lowered expectations” on the close of Guantanamo prisons. Previously Obama had said, with flowery words, he would shut down Guantanamo prisons. That Obama promise is no longer, as Richard Nixon would say, “operative”.

The latest Obama flim-flam took place on ABC’s This Week. The campaign promise to close Guantanamo within 100 days is now a broken promise. Obama says he has just now discovered that closing Guantanamo is “complex”. The truth of course is that nothing has changed on the issue of Guantanamo, there are no new facts on Guantanamo. [snip]

Obama is simply lying, again. The Guantanamo prison and the issues surrounding it have been well known and yes, complex. But there is nothing new on the Guantanamo issue. What is new is Obama is flim-flamming again and Big Media is protecting Obama, again.

When Obama made his campaign promise to close Guantanamo the situation was just as complex as it is today. If anything the actual issue itself should be less complex because there has been so much more time to think about Guantanamo. Obama is simply hedging his bets and flim-flamming Americans with flowery words. Obama can’t be trusted.

We’ve heard that bamboozle speech before as well as the Big Media cheers:

In some 6,000 words Thursday, Obama used a characteristic tactic: He sought to reclaim the issue of Guantanamo detainees by broadening it into a larger discussion of American values and national security. It was same tactic he used when, just over a year ago, political foes and critics put his back against the wall with video of racially charged speeches by his former pastor, and the Illinois senator responded with a broad and effective thematic speech on his personal narrative, race and America.

Back when every Dimocrat had his or her ear angled towards the heavens in order to hear the first bleats of the celestial choirs we called Obama what he is: The Third Bush Term. So many are now calling Obama the Third Bush Term that Obama is miffed and pouting and assigning blame (another broken promise).

Fending off criticism from human-rights and civil-rights groups at a private White House meeting Wednesday, a frustrated President Obama complained about the “mess” he’d been left by his predecessor.

The exchange came during an hour-and-15-minute “off the record” session in the White House cabinet room that highlighted growing tensions between the president and his liberal base. While the White House session was billed as an effort by the president to listen to his critics on the left, some of them left disappointed.

According to three sources who attended the meeting, Obama reiterated his intention to retain a version of the military-tribunal system established to try terror detainees and said his administration will likely end up adopting some form of “indefinite detention” policy to justify holding some selected suspects without trial. Still, Obama brusquely rejected suggestions by some of those present that, in doing so, he was adopting key tenets of Bush-era policies considered unacceptable by his liberal supporters.

“It doesn’t help to equate me to Bush,” Obama said, arguing that such comparisons overlook important differences between the two administrations’ policies, according to several sources attending the meeting.

Obama does not like the truth to be known. He is a flim-flam man and flim-flam men run from the truth like vampires from crucifixes. The truth is Obama is the Third Bush Term and more and more people are recognizing that fact.

On Guantanamo, more and more “progressives” are aware of Obama’s Bush grade bamboozlements. On the economy more and more realities are setting in. California’s elected Dimocrats might think the other 49 states will come to the rescue. But who will come to the rescue of the United States?

Reality is hitting on the economic front like a dropped barbell given to Obama by Schwarzenegger:

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner committed to cutting the budget deficit as concern about deteriorating U.S. creditworthiness deepened, and ascribed a sell-off in Treasuries to prospects for an economic recovery. [snip]

The dollar extended declines today after Treasuries and American stocks slumped on concern the U.S. government’s debt rating may at some point be lowered. Bill Gross, the co-chief investment officer of Pacific Investment Management Co., said the U.S. “eventually” will lose its AAA grade.

The typical end runs Obama has employed are beginning to run out and will impact states in fiscal chaos like California:

Also yesterday, Geithner said the U.S.’s $700 billion financial rescue package can’t be used to aid cities and states facing budget crises.

The law “does not appear to us to provide a viable way of responding to that challenge,” Geithner told a House Appropriations subcommittee in Washington. Among the hurdles: money from the Troubled Asset Relief Program was designed for financial companies, he said.

Californians voted for an inexperienced celebrity boob hoping for change and salvation. California was dreaming if they expected good results.

Americans voted for an inexperienced celebrity boob hoping for change and salvation (after Dimocratic “leaders” gifted Obama the nomination). Americans were dreaming (or on some very strong narcotic Hopium).

America better wake up. The quakes are coming.

The Missing Link

The elaborate hype announcement of the day (barring some Supreme Court news) is the unveiling of a 47 million year old fossil dubbed “the missing link“.

We thought we would provide our own missing links too.

The somewhat simian Blagojevich is our nominee for political missing link today. Chicago Magazine published a long story which has been effectively ignored by just about everyone. Guess why the story is being ignored? We won’t ignore this missing link:

The arrest of Governor Rod Blagojevich in December cast a shadowy light on the relationships among four leading players in the Illinois Democratic Party—Blagojevich, Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel, and David Axelrod. The new president and his two aides would like to minimize their dealings with the disgraced ex-governor. But the record tells a more complex story.

Blagojevich will be on trial soon and as the story notes during his impeachment “trial” he wanted to call as witnesses Rahm Emanuel and Valerie Jarrett, among other Chicago Obama pals. The article derides that witness wish list as “delight in sullying the veneer of President-elect Barack Obama and his Chicago team headed for the White House.”

Although the article is protective of Obama, there are some glimmers of hope truth:

At this writing, U.S. attorney Patrick Fitzgerald had said nothing to implicate Obama or his aides in wrongdoing. Still, with at least 40 references to Obama and his associates in the original 76-page criminal complaint, the scandal has cast a shadowy light on the connections between Blagojevich, Obama, and Emanuel, whose careers often overlapped, and who all drew on the skills of David Axelrod, the architect of Obama’s Senate and presidential campaigns and now a White House senior adviser.

Understandably, the Obama camp has tried to downplay the connections, most notably with a report by the future White House counsel Greg Craig asserting that no one on the president-elect’s staff, including Obama, had “inappropriate discussions” with the governor about deals for the Senate seat. But the Craig report focused exclusively on Blagojevich’s alleged wheeling and dealing around the seat, and beyond that time frame, the interplay of Blagojevich, Obama, Emanuel, and Axelrod goes deep into the recent history of Illinois politics.

“I come out of the alleys of Chicago politics. That’s a tough place. The politics there is not motivated by idealism or high purpose.” Blagojevich is quoted as saying. Blagojevich almost sounds like Obama’s mentor of 20 years, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, when he derided Obama as just another pol. For those wanting additional “missing link” information on the dirty little rats from Chicago, the article chains a lot of links.

The article describes Axelrod trying to intimidate newspapers, and outlines his connections to the Daleys and as “indispensable” to Blagojevich, as well as how Blagojevich got Rahm Emanuel to run for congress. We hear again about father-in-law “Mell” as well as the Emanuel/Blagojevich alliance on prescription drugs. John Wyma, the lobbyist for AT&T, Harrah’s and Kraft, who turned informer is also described. We are offered this appetizer: “The relationship between Emanuel and Wyma could turn out to be a crucial missing link to knowing the full extent of Emanuel’s role in Blago-gate.”

We also meet Obama as he decides to stop being the “brother from Hawaii”, as Bobby Rush derisively described him, and supports Roland Burris for governor in 2002. It was Obama once again caring more about skin color as a political imperative: “Endorsing one of Burris’s white opponents, Paul Vallas or Blagojevich, would have ended Obama’s political career.”

More fun: Obama’s Palinesque “You betcha” when asked in 2002 if he was supporting “Hot Rod” and Emanuel giving credit for the election of Blagojevich to himself and “Barack”. Also, how Obama got “the skinny guy with a funny name” line from a guy named Blagojevich.

But the most important lesson Barack got from Hot Rod was fundraising. Blagojevich, we are reminded collected the still astonishing figure of $58.3 million during his governor runs with a third of that amount coming from 435 donors. On his election eve Blagojevich declares “Tonight, Illinois has voted for change” and we laugh along with the joke.

Obama’s alliances with Emil Jones Jr. in order to become a U.S. Senator with faked accomplishments is briefly touched upon as is his rivalry with Blagojevich for the claim to be “progressive”.

The yet to sing Rezko makes an appearance of course. The crucial money to Barack is recounted as is the hiring of friends. But once again the Rezko financed house is not even mentioned and excuses come pouring forth:

Rezko remains the most troubling common tie between the president and the disgraced former governor. Obama has repeatedly insisted that Rezko never sought anything except small favors here or there, such as an internship for the son of a business associate. Assuming that’s true, why did Rezko act like a crook with Blagojevich and not with Obama? One veteran political operative offered this explanation: “Rezko was, basically, forming political sleeper cells. He didn’t know which ones would be useful. He was right about Barack’s promise, not about his usefulness.”

And was Obama simply naïve about Rezko? “Maybe so,” says John Kupper, who worked on Obama’s U.S. Senate and presidential campaigns. “But the fact is: He never asked Barack for anything in return.”

Blagojevich, however, was infuriated that he—and not Obama—was taking most of the political heat for Rezko. Recalls a fourth former Blagojevich aide: “A lot of Rod’s resentment was—‘How come I wear the jacket for Tony?’”

A question which never comes up is whether David Axelrod, who worked for John Edwards in 2004 but not in 2008 knew about the Edwards affair with the now mother of his (probable) child. There is a story making the rounds that former Edwards advisers knew Edwards was cheating on Elizabeth and they wanted no part of the 2008 campaign. Did Axelrod know about the Edwards affair and did he tell Obama (who in every election amazingly and coincidentally has a sex scandal interrupt his opponent’s campaign)?

By the way, Blagojevich also eyed going to Iowa to spread Chicago corruption and label it as “change“:

By then, Blagojevich had set his sights on higher office. “It wasn’t long after he got elected governor that he said, ‘Well, maybe I should go out to Iowa,’” recalls Giangreco. Several sources say Blagojevich had sketched out a plan, of sorts, to run for president in 2008. Mell explained it to me during a 2007 interview: “He would’ve been able to make a great case of this Kennedyesque, dynamic leader coming into the fifth-largest state and sweeping Republicans out of office after 26 years, then being this charismatic, idealistic governor cleaning up the state. Iowa’s right next door, and when he’s running for reelection, he sends all of his commercials out of the Quad Cities right past Des Moines. He would’ve been a known factor before he’d even start [campaigning in the Iowa caucuses]. That’s the way he envisioned it.”

* * * * *

On May Day we were too full of love and joy to discuss credit card interest rate caps. We did rouse ourselves sufficiently to recall the Obama hypocrisy and lies on capping interest rates on credit cards by recalling the debate on January 22, 2008 (the Rezko mentioned debate) “and Obama’s laughable response to why he voted AGAINST a cap on credit card interest rates of very high 30%.

Hypocrite John Edwards exposed hypocrite Barack Obama with the mocking reply to Obama’s mendacious claim:

EDWARDS: You voted against it because the limit was too high, is that what you just said?

OBAMA: That is exactly what I just said, John, because…

EDWARDS: So there’s no limit at all.

There is a sort of warning/missing link today to this credit card story (and even unrelated issues like can and trade) which if it wasn’t so sad, would be funny:

Credit cards have long been a very good deal for people who pay their bills on time and in full. Even as card companies imposed punitive fees and penalties on those late with their payments, the best customers racked up cash-back rewards, frequent-flier miles and other perks in recent years.

Now Congress is moving to limit the penalties on riskier borrowers, who have become a prime source of billions of dollars in fee revenue for the industry. And to make up for lost income, the card companies are going after those people with sterling credit.

Banks are expected to look at reviving annual fees, curtailing cash-back and other rewards programs and charging interest immediately on a purchase instead of allowing a grace period of weeks, according to bank officials and trade groups.

In other words, if you pay your bills (like your mortgage) on time, you will be punished in the age of Obama. The missing link here is that responsibility, in the age of Obama, is for idiots.

* * * * *

We did not know there were similar thoughts presented earlier to Governor Sarah Palin when we wrote The Republican Secret Weapon – Hillary Clinton

While discussing the Miss California issue we suggested that Republicans should “utilize the history of the 2008 primaries and what was done to Hillary Clinton to expose the intolerant bullies who pose as progressives.” We also warned:

Sean Hannity in particular constantly attacks Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton in ugly, gratuitous ways. Hannity is living in the 1990s. Even the biggest Bill and Hillary haters, such as Richard Mellon Scaife, now recognize they were fools drunk with destructive Clinton hate. Hannity would make a stronger case against Barack Obama if he would invoke the nastiness of the Obama campaign against Hillary and stop the nastiness against Hillary himself.

Some Republicans will fan the flames of Hillary hatred. These are Republicans who are afraid of Sarah Palin and do not want to do anything that might help women, such as attack sexism and misogyny.

Apparently we are not the only ones who see opportunity for Republicans by using their most formidable weapon – Hillary.

In an unusual attempt to forge an alliance between two of the most prominent families in American politics, John Coale, a Washington-area Democratic donor and onetime adviser to Sarah Palin, urged the conservative Alaska governor to use her political action committee to help retire the presidential campaign debt of Hillary Clinton.

Coale, a wealthy trial attorney and the husband of Fox News talk show host Greta Van Susteren, approached Palin with the improbable plan in February while in Alaska with his wife, who was taping an interview with the former Republican vice presidential nominee.

An outspoken Clinton supporter during the Democratic primary who switched his allegiance to the GOP ticket for the general election, Coale made his case to Palin at the Iron Dog snowmachine competition in Fairbanks, where Todd Palin was competing over Valentine’s Day weekend. His broader aim, say Palin camp insiders, was to help Palin develop a relationship with the former first family that he thought could bolster the polarizing governor’s standing with Democrats and independents.

As “improbable” as the plan seemed (and we do think actual fundraising for Hillary might be too drastic a step for Republicans to contemplate) it would be wise for Sarah Palin to listen to such type of advice. Governor Palin like Hillary was subjected to the ugliest sorts of sexism and misogyny during the campaign. Even the hypocrite Howard Dean acknowledges the sexism and misogyny directed against Hillary AND Governor Palin (of course he only said that well after the elections).

Governor Palin appears to share our view of the situation:

Palin was amenable to getting acquainted with the Clintons but was skeptical of using her PAC to help the former first lady.

There is a great deal of logic to Governor Palin talking things over with Hillary and Bill and John Coale is a smart and courageous man for making such a case to both Palin and the Clintons, even if Republicans and Dimocrats are “dumbfounded“:

“He thought the Clintons could rein in some of the Democratic firepower aimed at her,” said a dumbfounded Republican privy to the discussion who advocated fiercely against the idea.

A former Clinton aide hadn’t heard of the plan but deemed it “not rooted in anything that would touch on reality.”

No this is not a fantasy game, this actually happened and hooray and hoorah for Mr. Coale who actually thinks instead of ignoring possibilities:

Coale conceded that he urged Palin and her advisers to consider helping Clinton, but he said it was part of a larger campaign to align the Alaska governor with prominent women in politics, including Republicans Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina, both of whom are prospects for elective office in California.

It was a women thing and not a Hillary thing,” said Coale, who was angered at what he saw as sexism aimed at Clinton during last year’s campaign and who has long taken an interest in promoting female politicians.

He sought to minimize just how much Palin could have done, noting that the PAC could give only $5,000 to help with Clinton’s debt — a modest sum, given the former first lady’s $2 million-plus campaign debt.

But Coale is candid about his efforts to create an unlikely bond between the ultimate Democratic power couple and the Alaska duo that so many liberals revile, noting that he had pushed the Clintons to get to know the Palins.

No, this is not a fantasy, not dumb, and reality based – as a certain former President appears to agree:

Former President Bill Clinton placed a friendly call to Palin after the election, and Coale sought to use that as an opportunity to play matchmaker.

He said he tried to set up a visit between Bill Clinton and Palin in Alaska earlier this year when the former president traveled to Asia, but Clinton wound up traveling there through Europe.

Bill Clinton is no fool. Bill Clinton is a real, not pretend, uniter – not a divider.

Coale is a smart man and is therefore derided for his original and smart thinking.

“With these people from the opposite side, I’m trying to turn down the volume a bit on the attacks,” Coale said. “The more people meet each other and actually talk to each other, the volume will come down.”

Governor Palin is now constantly under attack and at times overwhelmed. She could use some good advice on how to organize politically from a far away state. Governor Palin could use a lot of good advice.

Who better than Bill and Hillary?

For Bill and Hillary, now is the time to truly triangulate.

Triangulation – the missing link.

Grand Unified Theory: The Obama Scams And The Dimocrat Scams Exposed (And Why You Can Ignore The Side Stories Like – Nancy Pelosi, Notre Dame, Torture, Gay Rights, The CIA, Wall Street, GM, Chrysler, Guantanamo, Cheney, Military Tribunals, FISA, Renditions, Abortion Rights, Universal Health Care, Swine Flu, Immigration, The Environment, Foreign Policy, The Economy, Inflation, Deflation, Unemployment, TARP, Credit Cards, Israel, Russia, China, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Debt, Deficits, and The Supreme Court)

Ever wonder who believes in, then actually buys, that penis extension product advertised on TV which must have many customers because the commercial is always on? Ever wonder who believes, then actually responds and sends money, to the emails which typically begin “Dearest” and is from someone allegedly in Africa who just got a windfall of millions of dollars and wants to give it to you if you send money first?

Answer: the Obama target audience.

We’re not specifically referring to those sad boys with their blue blogs, their gamer networks, their oddly named ever-so-hip website hangouts who hang-doggedly feel they could use a little a lot of help from a little pill and who feel more secure grabbing their crotches and saying “dude” and “rick-rolling” and karate kid quoting and circulating their “clever” captions on pictures as they proudly exhibit their objectified African-American athlete friend who makes them feel so modern and enlightened and high minded.

No, we mean all the gullible, of all ages and gender, who buy super expensive “sports shoes” or team paraphernalia (or the equivalent) – not to display support but because purchasing products makes them feel as if in fact they are the team making millions off of the gullible. Think Obama logo.

Now, think of that target audience and what happens when they pay for their Extenz (or equivalent) and it does not work as they had dreamed, or should we say, hoped. Indeed, it does not work at all. They’ve been had by a pro but they are too embarrassed to have been so fooled and so don’t bother to ask for their money back.

The Extenz boys are not alone in their embarrassment. As we have written repeatedly, after the nomination was gifted to Obama by Dean/Pelosi/Brazile/Kennedy/Kerry, and the big electoral choices for most Americans became Obama and McCain, we wanted the Dimocrats to have uncontrolled power over the national government.

We wanted that because Americans need to see how nakedly corrupt the Obama Dimocratic Party is and how they only care about themselves. We understood that for Americans to see the thorough corruption that the once great Democratic Party has decayed into there could be no excuses – the Dimocrats needed to have undisputed, uncontrolled power. Like those Extenz users, the voters had to experience the ineffective flaccid crew they had just elected.

We published our regrets immediately after the Georgia U.S. Senate election determined that the Dimocrats would not get their 60th Senate Seat.

We rejoiced when defective Arlen Specter felt sufficiently comfortable with the level of corruption in the Obama Dimocrat Party to declare himself no longer a Republican but rather a typical, in it for the personal advancement, Dimocrat. Specter effectively became the 60th seat for the now filibuster-proof Dimocrats in the U.S. Senate.

This past Friday, bad news dump day, the regrets we expressed in The Jar Jar Binks Of American Politics came back to us. We wrote that back when the Republican victory in Georgia had earlier denied the Dimocrats 60 seats in the Senate. Our words came bitterly back to remind us of the gullible target audience which supported Obama. We wrote then:

No, our regret stems largely from our sense that now the cowardly Dimocratic leadership will avail themselves of the very remote possibility of a Republican filibuster in the Senate as an excuse to not do what they promised to do but don’t want to do in the first place.

And of course the national Dimocratics have as their leader the Chicago master of excuses.

Now, the Dimocrats themselves are saying what we predicted they would say. Shocking, no?

Here is the scam of scams complete with confessional quotes:

A series of setbacks in the Senate has Democratic leaders warning their supporters that they won’t be able to accomplish everything they set out to do this year — even if Al Franken joins them as a 60th vote.

The Dimocrats, after decades of saying what they would do if they would control the entire U.S. government – especially if they ever achieved the magical 60 vote filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate – are now saying “WAIT”. Why?

We know that many Dimocratic senators are allowed and sometimes encouraged to vote in a politically advantageous way on votes that are procedural and sometimes even on votes for or against the final bill. This indulgence is allowed because the goal for years was to get full control and a filibuster-proof majority. But the Dimocrats have that super-majority now.

After decades of saying they needed undisputed control of the government before they could do what they promised now they are saying even the super-majority is not enough.

Recall after the 2006 elections when many thought that election meant no funding of the Iraq war? Didn’t happen. The reason given was “not enough votes”. Fair enough, there were not sufficient votes with George W. Bush in the White House. Now the Dimocrats have all the votes they ever wanted and still that is not enough.

They should not take anything for granted,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.), who as majority whip has the job of counting votes. “People keep saying, ‘Wow, if you get Sen. Franken up in Minnesota, everything is going to be fine — you’ll be at 60.’ I’ve never said that, I know, because I face these senators every day, and I know that each of them has their own mind.”

What was the point of working for decades to get a super-majority if not to finally get done what they said they would do when they got the super-majority?

There is an answer and will get to that soon.

All the gloating from the gullible appears to have been premature. The great big shift, the great big realignment, that the gullible have been gloating about seems to be extremely premature if what Chuck Schumer says is true:

Centrist Democrats like Begich and Warner — both freshmen — helped the Democrats get to the cusp of 60, but they’ll also make leaders’ lives more difficult. The Democratic caucus is more ideologically diverse than it has been in the past, thanks in large part to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), the former head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee who over the past two election cycles recruited centrist and conservative candidates to compete — and eventually win — in red states.

Schumer said recently that divisions within the caucus are a natural outgrowth of its diversity.

The idea that now with 60 we can pass everything quickly and easily — no,” Schumer said. “And the beauty of our caucus is, first, it’s diverse.”

Where is the big realignment? Where is all that “change”? Is the only big change over at Disney? Remember when Hillary Clinton said she would fight for “core Democratic values“? This Obama Dimocratic Party appears only willing to fight for themselves and the big offices and spoils which go to the majority.

Republican turncoat Senator Susan Collins said “I don’t see the Democrats as having reached 60 in reality.” What she means is that a lot of the “Democrats” are not willing to fight for “core Democratic values”. These DINOs, like Specter, are in it only for themselves – and it is they who are in the super-majority. Real Democrats, like us, are left out of the Congress and White House controlling Dimocratic Party.

On May Day we were too full of love and joy to elaborate on this aspect of the Third Bush Term. We wrote:

Why don’t the Dimocrats pass now what they have been promising for years? [snip]

We’ll ponder all the promises Democrats have made over the years – and how the Dimocrats in the White House and in Congress can, but won’t [hint: they rather have the issues still alive so they can continue to fundraise off controversy] fulfill all those long promised promises – on another day.

Remember how during the general election, the Obama Dimocrats finally began to address women’s issues after having ignored women and scourged Hillary during the primaries?

Recall how there was not a single debate or forum to discuss women’s issues. But come general election time the red flag of abortion was waved frantically to get women to forget about the sexism and misogyny. Even Dimocrat Chairman Dean discovered women and sexism, but only after Hillary Clinton had been smeared and mugged in order to gift the nomination to the Chicago master of excuses lacking core Democratic values.

Why won’t the Dimocrats do what they have been saying they would do for decades? Because the fundraising must go on. The money must flow. The promises must be broken.

Dimocrats also understand that accomplishments must meet expectations and that trying sometimes means failure – which could cost them at the ballot box.

Dimocrats also understand that fulfilling a promise to a constituency means that constituency might become satisfied and walk away to other pursuits and other fundraisers.

Dimocrats also understand that fulfilling a promise to one constituency often means angering another constituency. Money might then flow to opponents.

Dimocrats also understand that they didn’t really mean all that stuff they said – that was only meant for the gullible.

Albert Einstein searched for a unified field theory to describe the fundamental forces of physics.

To describe the current political situation in a way that explains the fundamental forces of politics in America today all you need to do is add “Dimocrats” to this basic formulation:

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

People Obama Loathes: Nancy Pelosi And Gay Men

As we wrote earlier, we do suspect that Obama released torture memoranda in order to reopen the torture issue. It was a “shrewd way to torture Nancy” and thereby knock out a potential rival power.

Last year, as Nancy Pelosi worked behind the scenes to gift Obama the Democratic nomination Nancy thought she and Harry Reid would really run things. But the Chicago thugs knew they were using Nancy as they had used others before. Eventually Nancy would have to be neutralized. Harry? Harry has enough problems just getting reelected.

The C.I.A. is just beginning to help Obama get Nancy out of his way. Today CIA Director Leon Panetta (a Democrat) responded to Nancy Pelosi by declaring agency records show CIA officers briefed lawmakers truthfully in 2002 on methods of interrogating terrorism suspects, but it is up to Congress to reach its own conclusions about what happened. Panetta is using Washingtonese to call Pelosi a liar.

Now Nancy is in a whole lot of hot water and Obama is free on a Friday to announce he will be the Third Bush Term again and again. This time Obama will be the Third Bush Term on the issue of Military Commissions:

Obama officials have been dispatched to insist to journalists (anonymously, of course) that Obama’s embrace of “new and improved” military commissions is neither inconsistent with the criticisms that were voiced about Bush’s military commission system nor with Obama’s prior statements on this issue. It is plainly not the case that these “modifications” address the core criticisms directed to what Bush did, nor is it the case that Obama’s campaign position on this issue can be reconciled with what he is now doing.

Suckers!

We told you so.

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

* * * * *

But the biggest suckers are Gay Men (okay, Lesbians too, we don’t want to be too provocative) who voted for Barack Obama.

Now, these suckers who voted for Obama and believed Obama and donated money to Obama are whining and carrying on in a most undignified manner. Disgusting.

We wrote repeatedly about how Obama gay-bashed during the primary elections. In Barack’s World we wrote:

During the primary Barack Obama organized a gay-bashing tour exploiting African-American homophobia to his benefit. On election day that homophobia continued.

Proposition 2 in California passed on Tuesday. Proposition 2 benefited farm animals. Proposition 2 protects pregnant pigs, calves and hens as well as any animal in an enclosed area. California farm animals have their rights enhanced in Barack World. California Gay-Americans are sent to the Obama slaughter house.

Proposition 8, with big help from Obama supporters passed in California. Many of those Obama supporters that supported Proposition 8 were African-Americans who voted for Proposition 8 by 70%. Obama said nary a word against proposition 8. Obama’s voice was employed by supporters of Proposition 8 in robocalls to win support for Proposition 8. The Obama South Carolina gay-bashing tour echoed in California.

Many African-American Obama supporters who wept and gloried in the end of racism in America turned on Gay-Americans. [Some wonderful African-Americans fought against Proposition 8 with the same strength that some African-Americans supported Hillary.] Obama said nary a word against the bigotry.

Gay-Americans: Welcome to Reality.

Welcome to reality. Gay fools (and heterosexual fools) believed Obama’s words, and ignored Obama’s actions. Fools who voted for Obama believed words speak louder than actions. We believe actions speak louder than words.

Deluded fool and Big Pink hater Andrew Sullivan lavished love on Barack Obama. Fool Sullivan thought Obama represented a “new politics” to which we replied there is no “new” just always and eternally “politics”.

Fool Sullivan thought it was “his face” that made Obama so perfect. We kid you not. Forget Audrey Hepburn, for Sullivan it was Obama’s face that would change the world.

Fool Sullivan also wrote in that infamous love article: If you are an American who yearns to finally get beyond the symbolic battles of the Boomer generation and face today’s actual problems, Obama may be your man. Now Sullivan whines that Obama ignores him and ignores those pesky Boomer problems and has sold Sullivan out.

It is quite something to have a government stamp in your passport, as I do, that will tell any immigration or police officer with a connection to a government database that I have HIV, that I am therefore a threat and can be arrested and detained and deported at the border if necessary. [snip] And yet this is the current policy of the Obama administration on global HIV and AIDS.[snip]

But I have a sickeningly familiar feeling in my stomach, and the feeling deepens with every interaction with the Obama team on these issues. They want them to go away. They want us to go away.

Here we are, in the summer of 2009, with gay servicemembers still being fired for the fact of their orientation. Here we are, with marriage rights spreading through the country and world and a president who cannot bring himself even to acknowledge these breakthroughs in civil rights, and having no plan in any distant future to do anything about it at a federal level. Here I am, facing a looming deadline to be forced to leave my American husband for good, and relocate abroad because the HIV travel and immigration ban remains in force and I have slowly run out of options (unlike most non-Americans with HIV who have no options at all).

And what is Obama doing about any of these things? What is he even intending at some point to do about these things? So far as I can read the administration, the answer is: nada. We’re firing Arab linguists? So sorry. We won’t recognize in any way a tiny minority of legally married couples in several states because they’re, ugh, gay? We had no idea. There’s a ban on HIV-positive tourists and immigrants? Really? Thanks for letting us know. Would you like to join Joe Solmonese and John Berry for cocktails? The inside of the White House is fabulous these days.

Yesterday, Robert Gibbs gave non-answer after non-answer on civil unions and Obama’s clear campaign pledge to grant equal federal rights for gay couples; non-answer after non-answer on the military’s remaining ban on honest servicemembers. What was once a categorical pledge is now – well let’s call it the toilet paper that it is. I spent yesterday trying to get a better idea of what’s intended on all fronts, and the overwhelming sense – apart from a terror of saying anything about gay people on the record – is that we are in the same spot as in every Democratic administration: the well-paid leaders of the established groups get jobs and invites, and that’s about it. Worse: we will get a purely symbolic, practically useless hate crimes bill that they will then wave in our faces to prove they need do nothing more. [snip]

On gay servicemembers, the president is writing personal notes to those he has fired and intends to continue firing. Will he write some personal notes to the people with HIV he deports? Will he write personal notes to the gay spouses suddenly without a home or their late spouse’s savings or forced by his administration to relocate abroad because he has no intention of actually fulfilling his promises?

You got what you yourself wanted Andrew Sullivan – you got Obama who thinks you and your problems are old “Boomer problems”. Obama is not going to fight for you at all. Obama loathes you. Obama does not need or want your support. Keep attacking the Clintons with ahistorical hogwash from your bathtub and stop whining about Obama. You got what you wanted – now go away, with your husband if possible.

Another gay sucker and embarrassment to the gay community is Dan Savage. He too ignored Obama’s homophobia and gay-bashing tour and preferred to dream with Obama’s words, words, words. Savage did not have the wit to know that words lie. Actions are what matter.

Dan Savage simped and wimped about Obama too:

At roughly the same time Andrew was posting this blistering critique to his blog—please go read the whole thing—I was staring blankly into a camera at KING 5 waiting to go on MSNBC. I was asked to come on Andrea Mitchell’s show to talk about the controversy surrounding Obama’s invitation to give the commencement address at Notre Dame University this weekend. [snip] I wasn’t there to discuss the Obama’s administration’s abysmal record, thus far, on gay issues. But Andrea Mitchell asked and I did my best to tell:

If I had known that Mitchell was going to ask me about this I would’ve been better prepared. But if I had known the question was coming I’m afraid I would’ve had to contradict my good friend Andrew. Fact is, Obama has “acknowledge [the] breakthroughs in civil rights” that we’ve seen in Iowa and other states. And here it is:

See? Obama has acknowledged the breakthroughs in civil rights for gay Americans! He told a joke about it at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend. (You were there, Andrew, didn’t you catch it?)

Barack Obama condescended to use marriage equality as a punch line; he made, essentially, a Chuck & Larry joke about two straight dudes—Obama and Axelrod—running off to Iowa to “make it official” with the queers and their “partners.” And that’s hilarious, you see, because Obama and Axelrod aren’t actually homos! So they don’t need to go to Iowa to make it official! They can get married—to women—in all fifty states! HA!

The more I think about the joke Obama told at the WHCD the more ticked off I get.

The more we think about Dan Savage, Andrew Sullivan, and Nancy Pelosi, the more ticked off we get. They inflicted Obama on the United States. We want them to go away. They can take their husbands with them.

Corruption And Crimelord Barack Obama

Well, looky here: Nancy Pelosi got herself deeper into the torture hole today almost as if to buttress our article from yesterday which was mostly about her.

Reviews of her presser are not good – for her. The CIA is sure to place her atop its “it” list.

The CIA last week contradicted Pelosi, saying she had been told about the use of methods such as waterboarding, or simulated drowning, in a September 2002 briefing.

The spy agency had issued a chart saying Pelosi, then the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, and Porter Goss, the committee chairman at the time, were given “a description of the particular EITs (enhanced interrogation techniques) that had been employed.”

A besieged Pelosi held a news conference to give her side of the story, saying she was briefed that the Bush administration had legal opinions that concluded the use of these procedures were legal.

“The only mention of waterboarding at that briefing was that it was not being employed,” she said.

She accused the CIA of misleading Congress. She said the agency “gave me inaccurate and incomplete information” about the use of harsh interrogation techniques at the 2002 briefing.[snip]

CIA spokesman George Little stuck to the agency’s language.

“The language in the chart — ‘a description of the particular EITs that had been employed’ — is true to the language in the agency’s records.”

In short, Nancy had a rough day. Wait until the CIA fully responds, in that way they have, she will have an even rougher day.

Well, looky here – George Will has left the Obama dinner table and come over to our table. Yup – prim, proper and prudent George Will, who hosted Obama for dinner, is now pretty much saying what we have been saying: Obama is a crimelord. Will talks in Washingtonese, but Will is now saying what we got hammered for saying: Obama is a crimelord.

Prim, proper, prudent and bespectacled George Will at the end of Tincture Of Lawlessness writes:

The administration’s central activity — the political allocation of wealth and opportunity — is not merely susceptible to corruption, it is corruption.

Corruption? Why is George Will saying such things? Perhaps it is the Obama bullying of opponents with legitimate disagreements. Perhaps it is the Mafia-style protection racket:

In February, California’s Democratic-controlled Legislature, faced with a $42 billion budget deficit, trimmed $74 million (1.4 percent) from one of the state’s fastest growing programs, which provides care for low-income and incapacitated elderly and cost the state $5.42 billion last year. The Los Angeles Times reports that “loose oversight and bureaucratic inertia have allowed fraud to fester.”

But the Service Employees International Union collects nearly $5 million a month from 223,000 caregivers who are members. And the Obama administration has told California that unless the $74 million in cuts are rescinded, it will deny the state $6.8 billion in stimulus money.

Such a federal ukase (the word derives from czarist Russia; how appropriate) to a state legislature is a sign of the administration’s dependency agenda — maximizing the number of people and institutions dependent on the federal government. For the first time, neither sales nor property nor income taxes are the largest source of money for state and local governments. The federal government is.

George Will is finally upset with the “cavalier disregard of contracts” in the Obama Chrysler machinations too. Will is only now piecing together in his own mind what we have written repeatedly about – the use of government taxpayer money to achieve personal political goals along with “servile banks that are now dependent on the administration for capital infusions”.

George Will finally is also discussing Tom Lauria and the Obama threats of personal destruction.

But it is the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) which has finally and totally awakened Will’s mind sufficiently to get him to rise from the dinner table:

The Troubled Assets Relief Program, which has not yet been used for its supposed purpose (to purchase such assets from banks), has been the instrument of the administration’s adventure in the automobile industry. TARP’s $700 billion, like much of the supposed “stimulus” money, is a slush fund the executive branch can use as it pleases.

George Will is exactly right when he terms TARP and the “stimulus” as a “slush fund”. Many Americans do not understand that when Congress appropriates money it is the executive branch that can expedite, or administratively delay forever, payments Congress intended. By giving Obama trillions in “stimulus” funds what the Congress actually did was give the Chicago thugs the ability to coerce.

Obama is now using that coercive power to threaten states and private companies into submission.

Back when PINO Big Blogs and the Hopium addled were praising the Obama budget overview we labeled it correctly as “Sleeveless, Clueless, Truthless, Hopeless, Penniless“. In our analysis of the “Flim-Flam Stimulus Scam” we stated:

This is not a “stimulus” bill. It is a political money waste designed to influence the 2010 elections.

Add to the government funded slush funds the other, TARP and Bebe Rebozo style slush funds and the corruption picture begins to take shape for those sitting in George Will’s dining room.

Well looky here, Associated Press is squinting its eyes open too:

In his first quarterly report on the nation’s stimulus package, Vice President Joe Biden uses anecdotes to paint a glowing picture of an economy on the rebound. In reality, the picture is incomplete and the colors far more muted. [snip]

But the effect of that spending is less clear. Many of the claims the White House is making are based on anecdotes selected to fit the Obama administration’s message. For instance, the report cites a newspaper article about workers being rehired at a factory in Chicago. That account is true, but is no more an accurate snapshot of the nation’s economy than a story, not cited in the report, about a Roanoke, Va., railcar factory closing.

Capturing the full effect of the stimulus at this early stage is difficult, but the administration has set high bars for success. In championing those successes, however, the White House plays a little loose with the facts.

AP will impress us when it stops “loose with the facts” talk and joins George Will and us at the “Obama is a crimelord” table. For now, at least AP is mocking the “created or saved 150,000 jobs” bunk coming from Obama/Biden at a time the country is losing well over a million jobs.

It’s not only AP and George Will. Others are using words which more accurately describe the Obama reality.

Fleecing lenders to pay off politically powerful interests, or governmental threats to reputation and business from a failure to toe a political line? We might expect this behavior from a Hugo Chávez. But it would never happen here, right? [snip]

The close relationship between the rule of law and the enforceability of contracts, especially credit contracts, was well understood by the Framers of the U.S. Constitution. [snip]

Hence the Contracts Clause of Article V of the Constitution, which prohibited states from interfering with the obligation to pay debts. Hence also the Bankruptcy Clause of Article I, Section 8, which delegated to the federal government the sole authority to enact “uniform laws on the subject of bankruptcies.”

The Obama administration’s behavior in the Chrysler bankruptcy is a profound challenge to the rule of law.

Americans used to demand developing economies respect contracts. Americans used to value law over bullying, favoritism and cronyism.

The value of the rule of law is not merely a matter of economic efficiency. It also provides a bulwark against arbitrary governmental action taken at the behest of politically influential interests at the expense of the politically unpopular. The government’s threats and bare-knuckle tactics set an ominous precedent for the treatment of those considered insufficiently responsive to its desires. Certainly, holdout Chrysler creditors report that they felt little confidence that the White House would stop at informal strong-arming.

The situation is so bad even the Washington Post editorial board is coughing up objections at the Obama dinner table.

DESPITE a massive infusion of government cash, General Motors is slowly and almost assuredly limping toward bankruptcy. The company’s stock has been hovering just above the $1 mark for the past few days, and chief executive Fritz Henderson has signaled that bankruptcy court may be the best — or perhaps only — venue in which the company can come to terms with its creditors. GM — and its partner, the U.S. government, which could get as much as a 50 percent equity stake in the company — have set themselves a deadline at the end of this month to decide what to do.

And therein lies the potential danger. The government’s intervention in GM’s financial affairs tilts the scales so dramatically in the company’s (read: government’s) favor that it risks shutting out the legitimate interests of some creditors in favor of politically connected players who are owed much less and have less of a claim to the company’s money.

We’ll remind the Washington Post editorial board that the Mafia moving in on a casino is very much like what is happening as the government moves in on private business. Maybe someone at the Washington Post editorial board is reading Big Pink?

Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, and it was with this thought in mind that we endorsed the federal government’s decision to pump billions of dollars into the automakers. But the spectacle of creditors being stripped of their legal rights in favor of a labor union with which the president is politically aligned does little to attract private capital at a time when the government and many companies need these investors the most. Investors’ fears will only be compounded if the administration follows a similar blueprint with GM.

One day the Washington Post will completely wake up and join us and George at the reality table. They will one day learn that Crimelords only care about themselves.
