As the circle of corruption widens, you keep wondering how many of them can continue to keep silent. Of course, until they go to jail or are sentenced, the reality will not set in. But by then, O will be in office. However, I would imagine very few people are pardon at the beginning of administration. But then Bush did take care of his guy.

The question is which ONE might he take care of, as the rest of them might sit in the white collar jail for a while.

The local news is spinning it like Richardson is coming back to lead his state, and that he it totally innocent (where have we heard that before), and he just did not want to hurt the O administration. It is hard to believe that he would think of someone other than himself, as that is what Richardson has always done in the past. One has to wonder if they are holding something over on him. The Illinois Gov, obviously, has more out in the open, and so the power to shut him up might be less.

Having watched the county and state Dims office here, there were always these people coming in working on the data base that I had never seen before. As I understood it, this was our local voters data base. and I could not understand why they would be working on it, as we usually got a dump from the official voters office at intervals, and we did not input into their data base. O, however, had his own data base, as did HRC, so perhaps now it is obvious that they probably were feeding Os data base. Who was funding it, I have no idea. But as observed before, NM was stacking it state Dims office with O people long before the primary.

But as should be noted in Os statement about Richardson, they have been working together for SIX years. I guess that was when the covert operations started. You should have seen the puppets fall in line here.

An interesting excerpt from Hillarygirl's link upthread.

The Abs ain't impressed by BO's pecs.

The Al-Jazeera satellite television station recently broadcast footage of Obama on holiday in Hawaii, wearing shorts and playing golf, juxtaposed with scenes of bloodshed and mayhem in Gaza. Its report criticising "the deafening silence from the Obama team" suggested Obama is losing a battle of perceptions among Muslims that he may not realise has even begun.

"People recall his campaign slogan of change and hoped that it would apply to the Palestinian situation," Jordanian analyst Labib Kamhawi told Liz Sly of the Chicago Tribune. "So they look at his silence as a negative sign. They think he is condoning what happened in Gaza because he's not expressing any opinion."

Regional critics claim Obama is happy to break his pre-inauguration "no comment" rule on international issues when it suits him. They note his swift condemnation of November's terrorist attacks in Mumbai. Obama has also made frequent policy statements on mitigating the impact of the global credit crunch.

so just out of curiosity, remember when Obama got congressional earmark funds that he directed to his wife's boss, who in turn gave her a huge pay raise soon after...

Those throwing mud at Hillary should think twice about it.

I read on another blog, that Murdoch is ready to put big money behind CK’s run for the senate. Why is a Republican giving money to a dim?

and once again big money corrupts.

Admin -- you certainly are correct. There is absolutely nobody to root for in this Obama-Blago-Burris-Reid et al debacle.

So much is so offensive (Reid: "Blago is clearly corrupt.") Is Reid a jury?

OTOH, I remember Sen. Claiborne Pell: a rich gentleman who opened opportunities for millions (literally) of children through Pell grants. We don't have many of those left.

The Richardson thing must be bad if he gave up his appointment so quickly. After all, he sold his soul to get it.

wbb -- I really appreciate your re-rebuttal. I recommend your post for its tone of respect, reasoned information, and persuasive powers.

I give you the drug co. failures -- I believe your allegations because you are thoughtful and informed. I am not so judgmental on his personal issues -- for one thing, I never know about a marriage and which one behaved well or badly. I balance it out with his behaviour with all those children who admire and love him.

I also think he's courageous. Jackie gave up and went to a Greek island. Teddy knew that there were many people who wanted to complete the hat trick after Jack and Bobby.

Not too long after Bobby's assassination, Teddy was walking through a sea of people and there was a loud bang and Teddy flinched. He then kept going. I wondered how he could keep going knowing he was a target. I gave him points then.

My husband and I used to debate whether Jack was a good president. Actually he would say he never met a president he admired. His first was Truman.
He knew the rest, although Ike very slightly. He finally met one: Clinton. Bill was the first who was as smart as my husband. That doesn't say much for our picks. And after Clinton, we followed with Pres. Stupid.

At any rate, I can meet you halfway with TK. And you may be more right than me. Thanks for the debate.

Years ago I met the late Evel Kenevil. Well, the truth is I didnt really meet him. I just played behind him at Hangman Valley Golf Course. He wasnt much of a golfer but he sure could limp.

As you know he was a stunt man who was forever pushing the envelope. His prop was a motor cycle. And it was always a longer jump than the last time--without a parachute.

Toward the end of his career he was talking about hurling himself over the Grand Canyon until someone with more common sense than he had conviced him that was not such a good idea.

The reason I thought of Kenevil is because I have been wondering what kind of stunt Obama can pull off at the innauguration to entertain his bamboozled followers.

We all remember his Buck Rogers Act at Inveco field at the conclusion of the primary. Made you think he was an Olympian god. So I asked myself what could he possibly do for an encore?

And then it hit me right between the eyes. How about an Evel Kinevil act. Suppose he gets on a motorcycle, revs the motor, takes off like a bat out of hell and soars over the reflecton pool an unto the podium in a perfect two point landing. Then he could dismount walk over to Chief Justice Roberts. When Roberts presents the Bible (Koran) and asks him do you solemly he can sayIcertainly do, and used controlled substances.

The thing I am worried about is that all the fools who hawked everything they owned to get to the Convention not be disappointed and not go away empty handed. An Evel Kenevil Act might well relieve the excruciating boredom.
