I just wonder if SOS for Hillary was in the works for a long time before this…maybe going back to a condition for her stepping down?
---------------------------------------
Jan--I do not think so. My understanding is that this sos thing was a last minute deal, and Hillary did it through judo.

Bambis campaign people wanted to promote the meme that he is a uniter not a divider, so they floated this sos thing to get brownie points never dreaming she would accept.

Well, Hillary called their bluff. This was not at all what Bambi wanted. People inside Obamas campaign have been called on the carpet over this "miscalculation".

Hillary's decision to campaign for him had nothing to do with this. It was to fulfill a promise and to dispel the racist bullshit maggots in his campaign falsey imputed to her in the primary, etc.

Originally, he promised sos to Richardson, just as he promised the attorney general job to edwards. I believe Edwards was taken down by the Chicago crew at the behest of Axelrod. He will become another Handelman.

The example illustrates the lengths to which obama handlers will go to promote this false image of the man. It shows those who wish to oppose Obama for the sake of democracy or to manipulate him for the sake of economic or political gain that ego is his achilles heel.

Those who oppose him will also take note of the fact that there are two bambis just as there were two doctor jeckels:

Dr. Jeckyl= Barcack Obama
Mr. Hyde= Barcrack Banana (the flake)

Finally, his coronation will mark a victory by big media, big business and a corrupt candidate over the American People. In the fulsomeness of time, the people who blather about democracy the loudest will be thown under the bus.

I just joined at www.teamsarah.org and I invited 4 friends to join me. If we are serious about controlling sexism in the country, we need to stand up for all women NOW.

So apparently (I didn't see it) Daley was on MTP & said Obama is "more likely than not" to postpone overturning the Bush tax cuts for the rich.

You guys comment on it. Because watching them reverse everything they said during the campaign might be even more sickening than the campaign itself was, and as we know, that was THE WORST.

Hi guys,

We are having a membership drive over at TEAM SARAH because we want to build a foundation of support for her and combat the same problems Hillary Clinton faced in running for her unsuccessful campaign for POTUS.

Their are many groups under the umbrella including PUMA grps or others...but it is very important that WOMEN are supported for LEADERSHIP position if we are ever going to break that ultimate glass ceiling.

I never want to see what happens to Hillary Clinton happens again. Ideas, character and proven leadership...I might disagree but not given the opportunity is the bigger crime.

Also, if Obama wants to do anything for me...I really hope that Pelosi's star fades rapidly under his regime. And is Brazille destined to spend the rest of her time on earth as a second-rate guest on second-rate news programs? LOL...that's fine with me. Kudos to whoever invented the mute button.

Obama's Stimulus Package: How Big?
November 23, 2008 9:28 AM

President-elect Barack Obama is pushing Congress for a robust economic stimulus package he can sign into law in January.

But the question is: how big?

In an interview on "This Week," Joint Economic Committee chair Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY., told "This Week" that he thinks the stimulus package should be between $500-700 billion.

"I believe we need a pretty big package here," Schumer told me, saying Congress is working on getting a major stimulus package on Obama's desk before Jan. 20.

"I think it has to be deep. In my view it has to be between $500 and $700-billion dollars and that's because our economy's in serious, serious trouble," Schumer said, "It's a little like having a new New Deal, but you do it before the Depression, not after."

Incoming White House senior adviser David Axelrod suggested Obama will push for a plan much larger than the $175-billion stimulus he suggested during the campaign.

"What he's said is, he wants a plan big enough to deal with the large challenges," Axelrod told me but refused to put a number on it.

Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., the top Republican on the Senate Banking Committee said of Schumer's stimulus number,"That's a lot of money."

"We better be careful about not just throwing money - borrowing a lot of money and throwing it at deal and creating no jobs to speak of," Shelby said, arguing he'll have to see the details of any stimulus package before supporting it.

Another Obama economic adviser, New Jersey Sen. Jon Corzine, is urging Obama to request a stimulus "north of $600 billion," as first reported by Newsweek. With dire predictions for the unemployment rate and consumer spending next year, the Federal Reserve is basically out of room to do anything more with monetary policy.

Members of Obama's economic team argue the nation's economy will need that injection of capital.
Yesterday Obama announced an ambitious spending and tax cut plan that includes a two-year stimulus plan to save or create 2.5 million jobs.

The plan would be implemented through infrastructure -- roads and bridges; tax cuts for lower and middle-class workers; aid to state and local governments; investments in so-called green-jobs; and alternative energy development.
