Barack’s World

How’s it going, 2 days into our post-racial, change-tilted, nirvana? We have some glimpses of Barack’s World.

The economy? We heard of all those wonderful supposed tax cuts doled out from Barack’s mess-ianic hand. How’s that going?

The federal government under Barack supposedly will cut taxes. State governments and local governments will raise taxes. Barack will then find ways to raise revenue via “user fees” and other schemes which will amount to tax increases.

Already the tax increases are being announced as local and state officials figure they might as well get the loot that the federal government will redistribute back to those who originally paid. Barack’s World:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed $4.4 billion in tax increases and billions more in spending cuts to close California’s worsening budget deficit, declaring: “We must stop the bleeding.” [snip]

California’s budget relies greatly on capital gains taxes, which have dropped precipitously in recent months along with swooning stock prices. Sales and property taxes also have declined.

He said lawmakers will not be able to close the budget gap with cuts alone. He proposed a temporary 1.5 percent sales tax increase and other “revenue generators.”

Get ready for those “revenue generators”. Get ready for more budget strife Arnold when Barack, fairly or unfairly, raises the capital gains tax as he has promised. Of course a Barack promise is not worth much.

Barack supporting California is on the “revenue generator” bandwagon. What about New York? First, the bad news:

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said on Wednesday he has instructed the finance commissioner not to send out $400 property tax rebates to homeowners because the crisis on Wall Street has cost the city dearly in lost tax revenue

Then the really bad news for Barack New York:

Mayor Michael Bloomberg is going to cut the city work force by 3,000, but that’s just the beginning of the pain New Yorkers will feel as part of the fiscal crisis. A slew of new taxes are also on the agenda.

There will be 1,000 fewer cops, but the city will hire 200 more traffic agents to give out $60 million a year in new block-the-box tickets. [snip]

The spending cuts mean reducing the city work force. The revenue increases mean taxes — lots of taxes.

In the current fiscal year there’s the 7 percent property tax hike that starts in January — and the plan to renege on a promised $400 property tax rebate. [snip]

To close budget gaps in the year that starts next July the mayor is thinking about a combination of sales tax increases and income tax hikes.

“Every city agency must push each dollar further,” Bloomberg said. “We’re going to do that and doing that means making hard choices that will not be popular with everyone or perhaps anyone.”

The mayor proposed raising the income tax by either 7.5 percent or 15 percent.

Philadelphia and other Barack cities are already indicating they will do the same as New York.

Barack Kool-aid drinkers will note those are not Barack tax increases. Tax-payers however will only notice they are paying higher taxes before Barack starts his own “revenue generators” and “user fees” and “skyrocketing” (Barack’s own word) costs for electricity and energy.

Barack’s Wall Street World on Wednesday:

A case of postelection nerves sent Wall Street plunging Wednesday as investors, looking past Barack Obama’s presidential victory, returned to their fears of a deep and protracted recession. [snip]

Although the market expected Obama to win the election, as the session wore on investors were clearly worrying about the weakness of the economy and pondered what the Obama administration might do. Analysts said the market is already anxious about who Obama selects as the next Treasury Secretary, as well as who he picks for other Cabinet positions.

“The celebration is over. Today we saw a bit of reality,” said Al Goldman, chief market strategist at Wachovia Securities in St. Louis. “President-elect Obama is coming into a situation with limited experience, having to handle an economy in serious trouble, a couple of wars and terrorism. It’s an extremely tough job.”

Racists! How dare they sell stocks in the new post-racial world and not have confidence in Barack.

Thursday Barack World: Wall Street plunged for a second day…

Thursday Barack World and Barack Workers:

Indianapolis – Lines were long and tempers flared Wednesday not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama. Several hundred people are still waiting to get their pay for last-minute campaigning. Police were called to the Obama campaign office on North Meridian Street downtown to control the crowd.

The line was long and the crowd was angry at times.

“I want my money today! It’s my money. I want it right now!” yelled one former campaign worker.

A former spokesman for the Obama campaign said 375 people were hired as part of the Vote Corps program and said people signed up to work three-hour shifts at a time. Three hours of canvassing got workers a $30 pre-paid Visa card.

The workers showed up to get their cards Wednesday morning at 10:00 am.[snip]

Eventually people did start getting paid, but some said they were missing hours and told to fill in paperwork making their claim and that eventually they would get a check in the mail.

“Still that’s not right. I’m disappointed. I’m glad for the president, but I’m disappointed in this system,” said Diane Jefferson, temporary campaign worker.

“It should have been $480. It’s $230,” said Imani Sankofa.

“They gave us $10 an hour. So we added it. I added up all the hours so it was supposed to be at least $120. All I get is $90,” said Charles Martin.

“I worked nine hours a day for 4 days and got paid half of what I should have earned,” said Randall Waldon.

Some people weren’t satisfied with filling out a claim form for money they felt was still due to them.

“They say that they gonna call you or they going to mail it to you, but I don’t know. We’ll see what happens,” said Antron Grose.

“Talking about they’ll mail it to us. I ain’t worried about that, man. They’re not going to mail nothin’,” said Martin.

Barack World Barack Workers are Wallet learning “the check is in the mail”.

Barack’s World is already planning to backstab its supporters and mouthing the excuses:

House Democrats are coordinating a message of caution with President-elect Obama in an effort to keep expectations on the left within the realm of the doable.

Last night, we heard Speaker Nancy Pelosi call for a “deliberate” approach to legislation. She and other leaders are mindful of the pent-up demand from the base of the party for quick action on issues like Iraq now that the impediment of the Senate filibuster has been substantially reduced.

“We can’t turn it all around on a dime,” says a top Dem staffer. “Expectations are going to have to be managed.” The aide says that this message has been agreed to by Obama and Pelosi.

You will be “managed” in Barack World.

Obama started the backtracking and managing expectations as soon as the votes were in Tuesday night.

The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.

There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who wont agree with every decision or policy I make as President, and we know that government cant solve every problem.

Unlike the Wall Street racists selling stock, Big Media will continue its bias for stooge Obama.

Big Media spokesman Chris Matthews made clear Big Media will protect their stooge Barack. Matthews said his job is to make Barack a success. Joe Scarborough and sidekick Mika reminded Matthews that the job is to report not be a propaganda minister.

During the primary Barack Obama organized a gay-bashing tour exploiting African-American homophobia to his benefit. On election day that homophobia continued.

Proposition 2 in California passed on Tuesday. Proposition 2 benefited farm animals. Proposition 2 protects pregnant pigs, calves and hens as well as any animal in an enclosed area. California farm animals have their rights enhanced in Barack World. California Gay-Americans are sent to the Obama slaughter house.

Proposition 8, with big help from Obama supporters passed in California. Many of those Obama supporters that supported Proposition 8 were African-Americans who voted for Proposition 8 by 70%. Obama said nary a word against proposition 8. Obama’s voice was employed by supporters of Proposition 8 in robocalls to win support for Proposition 8. The Obama South Carolina gay-bashing tour echoed in California.

Many African-American Obama supporters who wept and gloried in the end of racism in America turned on Gay-Americans. [Some wonderful African-Americans fought against Proposition 8 with the same strength that some African-Americans supported Hillary.] Obama said nary a word against the bigotry.

Gay-Americans: Welcome to Reality. .

Welcome to Barack’s World.

  1. Admin: What a sobbering posting. This a.m., I read about Arnie talking about raising the sales tax. CA has been in big trouble for years. Arnie was supposed to fix it, but with the Dimocratic controlled legislature, everything has been grid-locked.

Sad about NYC, Philly, and other major cities that will also be failing. What a mess.

I still feel horrible about the passage of Prop 8, and I’m not even gay or lesbian. I can’t imagine how shocked the LGBT community must feel. But, our farm animals will get their rights to exercise. What f*cked up world we live in.

Thank you for all your hard work.

  2. {{{{WOW}}}}}

Admin, your posts just keep getting better! You really hit it out of the park with this one.

ps – paying people with a pre-paid visa-card? I never heard of THAT before! 👿

  3. Paying by pre-paid visa cards is not traceable …not having to issue 1099 etc…

It is more like a gift…for food, gas etc…

BUT WE MUST REMEMBER these folksname…and count it as “Additional income” on their taxes.

I just watched the Tweetie clip and Mika is a dead wringer for Paris Hilton! Anyone ever see Kathy Griffin impersonate her? Mike looks like a wanna-be model all pose, pouts and primps!

Has anyone heard what happened in the Lieberman-goes-to-the-woodshed meeting in Pelosi’s office?

Somewhere, I also heard Hillary was called on to attend some kind of hosing as well.

What I want to know is, what is the House speaker doing messing with Senators anyway?
poopsie is dnc. lieberman is independent is he not. if so she has no leverage over him. poopsie is not going to hose Hillary unless she wants to get smacked down and have the enbalming fluid leak out of her ears. This is a bullshit rumor if you ask me.

I was wrong again…that makes twice this afternoon.

Joe L was called in to meet with Harry, (the duh-uh-I lurve Bambi ) Reid.

Joe and Harry have agreed to “think about” this afternoon’s meeting for the next week and meet again to discuss their thoughts. WHAT ??? is that all about? Jeeze.

And it is still out there that our girl “has a meeting with” Reid.

I see her sitting down across the table/desk from him, putting her palms down flat on the wood surface, and saying “well, Harry, what can I do for you?”

and breaking out with one of her great 2 minute cackle-sessions…to the point of tears, finishing with:

“Oh Harry, I am SO sorry, I-just-can’t- control-myself…I need to leave the room.”

Which she does, still laughing, doubled over, and……..

    never comes back.

  7. ps – paying people with a pre-paid visa-card? I never heard of THAT before

Not traceable, plus they probably bought stock in the company, since they have millions of campaign contributions unaccounted for. What a corrupt campaign.

  8. Hillary hater Melinda Henneberger is defending Governor Sarah Palin.

Sounds like those McCain aides are fast-tracking their guy’s return to pariah—I mean, maverick—status by alienating every last conservative who voted for him with their mean, sexist, and derriere-covering hooey about Sarah Palin. I’m sorry, but I do not for one second believe that she did not know Africa was a continent. If she threw those poor foot soldiers for democracy into a panic by appearing at her hotel-room door “essentially … wrapped in a bathrobe”—grow up, people; it’s not the first time a candidate has finished dressing on the run. And from what I saw of the crack McCain-Palin organization, somebody needed to engage in the dreaded “throwing of paperwork and things of that nature.” I see this as the jump-start of her rehab with women voters: diva, shopaholic, temptress, hmmm. Keep up the women-hating insults, McCainiacs, and it’ll be Palin in ’12.

  9. The Leiberman story:

The political status of Senator Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut was indefinite on Thursday after he met with Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader, to discuss Mr. Lieberman’s support of Senator John McCain, the Republican candidate for president.

Mr. Lieberman, a one-time Democrat who became an independent, could be stripped of his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Although neither he nor Mr. Reid addressed that issue after their meeting, the Associated Press reported later that an aide to Mr. Reid said the majority leader was considering having Lieberman removed.

“I’m thinking about what my options are,” Mr. Lieberman said.

Mr. Reid issued a statement notably lacking in warmth in which he called the meeting “the first of what I expect to be several conversations.”

“No decisions have been made,” Mr. Reid said. “While I understand that Senator Lieberman has voted with Democrats a majority of the time, his comments and actions have raised serious concerns among many in our caucus. I expect there to be additional discussions in the days to come, and Senator Lieberman and I will speak to our caucus in two weeks to discuss further steps.”

  10. admin…I think we should call this what it is…reverse racism. While most (I acknowledge the presence of bigots) white Americans have tried very hard to eliminate racist behavior in our country, tried hard to be fair to all races, segments of the minority communities thrive on playing the victim card and the blame game. There is evidence of discrimination and oppression in the workplace, courts, and education toward some minorities, however, it is not as wide spread as the minorities make it out to be. The “never forget”attitude they embrace is used as “payback” not knowledge to make life better for themselves.
AA’s in our country are not the only ones that have been hurt, one only need look at the history of slave labor of the Chinese and Latinos to grasp one of the darkest periods in the building of our country.
We still have a long way to go but…we are going. One group should not demand any more attention than another. The idea should be to promote “all” people regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or disability.
To this end, electing BHO will not be the answer and I truly expect an “in your face” attitude for months and possilby years to come from the parts of the AA community as a result.
Thank God I have many AA friends that have not lost their sanity over this and I will proudly stand next to them in making sure freedom and equality will be enforced for all Americans

  11. Chrissie Matthews is getting ready to run in PA!

How do I know? Because my late great partner was a reconstructive surgeon, and Chris has had at least eight “smallish” little jobs on his forehead, eyes, crowsfeet areas, neck, and nose-to-lip trenches.

Within months, a sharp observer will see his left trench much less long, and deep.

For reference, see how they improved Biden frm July 2007 to his unveiling at the convention…he even had “a little work” done between his VP
    announcement and the convention.

I saw him up close and personal at Tom Harkin’s famous steak fry late summer 2007. Trust me, he’s had scalpel and laser and two kinds of injections.

Another thing, I think we need to bring down big media somehow. I’m all for doing that. They can’t be left to run the elections the way they have and can’t be allowed to trash certain candidates the way they have and are still doing.
If anyone has an idea of what we can do, count me in.

I agree. Media is the key to 2008, Iraq war, 2000….

We can’t bring them down large scale but we can wean individual viewers away from them. Every minute they spend blogging about animals or cooking etc is one less minute watching Big Media.

We need to make sites that attract the casual people who will not read political sites. Then give them gentle links to gentle stories that are at least honest and not slanted the wrong way.

Then we need to give them some simple, superficial news sources they can comprehend, sort of like the late night comedy shows — but honest and not slanted the wrong way.

One idea is a sort of portal. I’ll look for my post on that.

  13. Media reform — everybody blog. Blog about cooking and animals and skydiving. Every minute someone reads your blog, they are NOT reading Big Media.

Maybe a portal to whichever credible traditional media stories do show a spark of honest reporting. Anyone in the right timezone to scout some?

By blogging about animals or whatever, one builds up personal credibility. A link in one’s sig to the portal makes the portal known and available. Occasionally one mentions some current event being covered there.

Stuff that’s too far out loses credibility, even if true.

    Where’s Kostner and Paul?

  14. bluegirl and others,

    Two parts to my idea.

    1. attract casual viewers from Big Media AND build your PERSONAL credibility with NON-POLITICAL sites.

    2. Use non-aggressive links to steer them to reliable but SIMPLE and BELIEVABLE news sources.

2.a. One such source might be a portal pointing to the best online stories each day from traditional media.

Paul and Kostner talked about ‘dinosaur media deathwatch’ — ie the big traditional papers, NYT etc, going broke and the rightwing blogs and newsmax etc taking their readers. The KOS, HuffPo things are taking their left-wing readers.

We need something for the CENTRIST readers — who are too busy or anti-conspiracy to get into any of the dark convolulted stuff on either side (even if it is true). What exactly this is, a portal or a lot of little projects etc — dunno. All of the abve?

  15. A portal might be done each day with moon and/or others in other time zones finding US stories worth recommending.

  16. basil9

One for each chamber and a congressional biggie, usually used by the party leader (sometimes the prez or his surrogate,) to lobby…Bill went to a biggie called to gather support for his 1992 fiscal year budget…it won by one vote…Marjorie Margolis (spelling?) gave BC the vote he needed and she lost her seat at Newt’s behest the following year.

  17. mp,

My political knowledge base is limited.

    what is the democratic caucus?

    In the congress -m both houses, they for groups by their “shared values”….or more “like birds of the same flock”;

At the top we have the republican and democratic causus!!! and a few free floating independents who decide to side with one or ther other depending on the issue.

Then this is only for the democrats in the house…they further form sub-groups – sub-causus like the Latino causus, black causus, women’s causus etc…

A very few bipartsian causus are formed like the jewish causus or the indian causus made up of members of both parties..

This is how these causus MEMBERS do their special interest “wheeling and dealing”; lobbying, “buy” votes…I mean exchange favors for votes..

So Reid is telling Liebermen…how are are you going to causus and with whom????…..Reid is acting like a school principle telling an errant student…

THE ONLY CAUSUS THAT IS MISSING IS AN americaN causus!!!!!

    GO FIGURE!!!!

The word causus should be abolished!!!!!

  18. So my brother started haranguing me with e-mails after the election about what a transcendent thing it was for America for Obama to be elected. I tried to be polite in the first one, saying that I was happy that his guy won and that he was so enthusiastic and that I has stopped following the election back in January. I guess it was too subtle because back come a three page thesis on all the reasons I should be exicted and saying that if I couldn’t see that, it was my fault.

So here’s what I sent back:

    Damn Bro’

The election’s over. Your guy won. You don’t need to convince me! The seas have parted. The light is shining down. Be happy! Go celebrate! Dance in the streets! Sing kumbaya! Burn incense! Sacrifice a goat! Watch Keith Olberman! Whatever.

Politics makes me want to smoke a cigarette and I can’t do that anymore. I went cold turkey from both of them. Successfully — it’ll be nine months next week — and I’ve never looked back. Two best things I’ve ever done. Smoking and politics. Both dirty, disgusting, and vile. You don’t want me start smoking again and have it be on your hands do you?

it sounds like you are very serious about this so I’d like to suggest that you review the ‘models’ of GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), Common Cause and Media Matters, (I’m sure there are other notable ones as well) and the methods that they have used over the years to control the media. Putting aside their politics, their tools have been effective but they ARE up against a very big money machine with BM.

The fight will not be an overnight success and will take a lot of consistency, dedication, passion and of course money.

I had a similar experience with my beloved niece….she voted for Hillary in the primary and still wants hillary. I personally took her to a Hillary fundraiser and she donated money from her own pocket.

But yesterday while relaying some great personal news of her own, she said she cast her vote for Obama because she could not stand Palin…she respected McCain but not Palin….she said she watched mccains concession speech and she thought he did wonderful

I did not have the heart to say anything to her yesterday…because she personally has gone thru her own ups and downs and I just felt fatigue yesterday…so I just let go…

  22. debbie,

I’m looking for projects to drain away Big Media’s audience that are NOT a big deal or a lot of money.

Anything that takes a lot of money and/or work, eventually gets taken over by extremists of one side or another. began as sane centrists defending Bill Clinton against the impeachment in 98, and trying to elect moderate Congressmen from both parties. When the excitement went down, the large number of moderates tuned out and the leftwingers, neo-libs, were the onlly ones still dedicated enough to do any work, so they took it over.

My vision is for things that take only a small amount of action each day, or can be set up automatic — so that a LARGE NUMBER of people can easily do them and keep them up, year after year. — Such as having a url in one’s sig or at one’s site, and leaving it there. The target of the sig is a site where the changing info is.

This is not an either/or! One such target site could be the ‘portal’ I’ve described, but it would take some on-going work to update the story links each day. Some expert might be able to set this up mostly automatic too: let many (REGISTERED, APPROVED PUMA) people submit story links. Sort of like Taylor Marsh’s old “Hot Topics”.

But in my vision, to reach casual centrists instead of just the choir, it would take some editing to keep it clean of wierd or unprofessional stuff. Or maybe not. Maybe the more portals the better, each slanted to a different group (feminists, POC, etc).

If there’s an expert who could set up widgets that would be great too.

  23. Is there a countdown yet for how many of his promises are going to be thrown to the wayside yet? Shouldn’t there be a countdown?

I’m thinking healthcare, education, military, and energy will go first. After all, those were the biggest pink elephants in his suitcase weren’t they?

Or maybe he’ll start with purging/deporting any man, woman, or child who ever looked at him the wrong way or disagreed with him. 😉

  24. ….also…

freedom of speech is a protected right. ideally if news orgs, that utilize tax payer money for any purpose, were “forced” to offer unbiased coverage we wouldn’t have a need for this.

idealogs can have their point of view, and the public can subscibe to them as they see fit.

The monopoly of the main stream media by corporations must be checked. The FEC, FCC, FTC, and the Attorney’s General office have not done their job.
We need to involve any reform toward these institutions as well.

I like your idea about a portal, however, one only need to google a single item and hundreds of thousands, even millions of results are available. It would take a lot of marketing to get people focused on just one. BM buys top slots in the search engines and are the first things that people see.

  25. “I think most of us have family and friends who are telling us these things the last few days…”

And they can’t even take a hint. That was about my fourth draft at a reply to my brother. The first one, I just threw in the towel and asked him flat out what he wanted from me? Did he want me to bow and kiss Obama’s feet? Was he going to report me to the Obama Youth squads? I mean, damn….. WTF is with these bots? It’s like they need us to validate their own qualms.

  26. “Is there a countdown yet for how many of his promises are going to be thrown to the wayside yet? Shouldn’t there be a countdown?”

Pelosi didn’t waste any time. She said healthcare was off the table last night, just 24 hours after the election. She said maybe they could do a couple of little things, but healthcare reform wouldn’t be possible.

  27. I am STUNNED by that a$$inine ‘teacher’ (i use that word loosely) and what she was doing to that poor little girl!!!!!

Watching that clip made me even more relieved that i got sick 2 years ago and had to leave the profession! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

First, it wouldn’t need to be just one portal or even just one portal site. Once people see how it works, then anybody can do one shaped for the interests of themselves and their friends.

Second, my whole dream is for something that does not need to be at the top of Google, but would be spread by BLOGGERS at their own non-political blog sites (or in their sigs when they post at other sites). For credibility, it uses the PERSONAL credibility of each blogger, the trust that her own friends have in her.

  30. For the first time in his adult life he will have to perform, and there will not be hoods there covering everything, or limiting access to his performance record. The media will do it spin. The American voters will discover if they really got unversal health care, and if they did at what price, what their new taxes look like, and whether the schools have improved from their 24th in the world ranking.

  33. from AP:
Obama planned to stay home through the weekend, with a blackout on news announcements so that he and his staff could get some rest after a grueling campaign and the rush of their win Tuesday night. He is planning a trip to Hawaii in December to get away with his family before their move to the White House — and to honor his grandmother, who died Sunday at her home there.

Does this mean he is not going to her funeral? The only close male in the family and she practically raised him and he is not going to her funeral?

  34. HWC,
I understand, the bots are drunk off the koolaide.

I have a bot friend of about 20 years. We battled back and forth during the primaries and barely spoke since then. This so called friend of mine had the nerve to call me about 11:30, Tuesday night after Barack successfully stole the Presidential election. I didn’t answer the phone because I had a strong feeling she wanted to gloat.

Well she called me the next day after I got home from work. I reluctantly answered the phone and she was just so giddy, “He won, he won. This was meant to be. God planned for this” and so on. She sounded so brainwashed that I was hurt for her and just did not feel like debating her about how he stole the nom or general elections. I just told her I had to go and hung up. I don’t plan to talk with her for a long time and will not answer her calls. She will get the message. When her Messiah throws sh_t in her face, I will make sure I am available to tell her, “I told you so”.

Yesterday, my boss who is also a bot was in full affect gloat mode. She had “the one’s” speech blasting from her office for at least two hours, knowing there were plenty of repubs walking around who would not be happy to hear it. She also know that I supported Hillary but did not know I voted for McCain. I just think bots are a reflection of BO and his madness. I am sickened by it and can not celebrate the fraud.

  35. Re portal project.

If someone has the time and energy, they could provide a BIG list of honest stories each day, for each SEPARATE portal to choose from for their own interest. Sort of like AP or Reuters etc, except that for copyright reasons they’d just send out the links and a little about the subject, not the whole story — just as each portal would publish only links.

  36. Send a message to Sarah Palin
    By Michelle Malkin • November 6, 2008 12:57 PM

Tons of readers are asking me how to get a personal message to Sarah Palin and offer her support in the face of all the ugly, anonymous attacks from back-stabbing blabbermouths on the McCain campaign.

Here’s a quick petition site I created where you can sign and leave your comments.

    Go here.

  37. djia, there was a phone number to her office in a comment at RD’s. I actually called and told the young woman to convey my message of appreciation to the Governor.

  38. EMJAY-I hope your friend knows that scapels have been known to slip during surgery, but not before malpractice insurance limits are set at the proper levels and deductible have been satisfied. If all else fails we can throw ourselves on the tender mercies of the jury and say yes it was a terrible accident but it was only Chris Matthews.

“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” Mark Twain, Notebook, 1904

I’m not going to comment on the carefully orchestrated show put on yesterday by the media; that will be my next column. What a scam. As I have covered in previous columns, between dirty voting rolls, voter registration fraud, illegals voting and corrupted electronic voting machines and scanners, we have NO idea who was legally elected yesterday. I updated the compilation of vote fraud links; see here. There are more at the bottom.

There is still the unresolved issue of Obama providing a COLB – Certification of Live Birth – to prove he is a natural born citizen. Not a “birth certificate,” but the COLB. The fact that this thug from Chicago refuses to provide this document since June, 2008, says it all. The second issue is if Obama were born in the U.S., but was automatically made an Indonesian citizen by virtue of his mother’s marriage to her Indonesian husband and Obama’s legal name change, he is ineligible to run for the presidency. Naturalized citizens are not eligible for the highest office in the land.

Contrary to the propaganda spewed last night by the pimps who work for corporate media, Obama is not the next president. We need to remember how the system actually works:

    The Electoral College:
    November 5, 2004
    Thomas H. Neale
    Analyst in American National Government
    Government and Finance Division
Congressional Research Service ˜ The Library of Congress
    CRS Report for Congress

“When Americans vote for a President and Vice President, they actually vote for presidential electors, known collectively as the electoral college. It is these electors, chosen by the people, who elect the chief executive….

“It is these elector-candidates, rather than the presidential and vice presidential nominees, for whom the people vote in the election held on Tuesday after the first Monday in November….

“Electors assemble in their respective states on Monday after the second Wednesday in December (December 13, 2004). They are pledged and expected, but not required, to vote for the candidates they represent. Separate ballots are cast for President and Vice President, after which the electoral college ceases to exist for another four years. The electoral vote results are counted and declared at a joint session of Congress, held on January 6 of the year succeeding the election. A majority of electoral votes (currently 270 of 538) is required to win.”

Until those electors meet on December 15, 2008, cast their vote and those votes are counted on January 6, 2009, Obama is not the next president.

Phil Berg’s lawsuit is still active with the U.S. Supreme Court.

Andy Martin’s lawsuit: The next hearing date is November 18, 2008.

Yesterday I filed four Freedom of Information Act requests and sent them over night mail. One: Illinois Secretary of State to obtain all documentation, applications, forms, electronic and hard copy, including proof of citizenship for Barack Hussein Obama for his 1996 Illinois State Senate race. I filed two with the U.S. State Department (1) Stanley Ann Dunham, married name Stanley Ann Obama to obtain her passport application and all travel records; departure and entry into the U.S. during the year 1961; and (2) Barack Obama, Sr., to obtain his travel records, entry and departure records for the year 1961. Four: I filed a State Records Act request with the University of Hawaii to obtain Stanley Ann Dunham, then married, Stanley Ann Obama’s enrollment applications and list of classes, and any and all documentation regarding her departure from the University for good.

I also sent another letter over night mail to James Burrus, Chief Investigator of Election Fraud, Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC. This is a follow up to my letter of October 30, 2008. I enclosed a copy of the transcripts of the interviews in Kenya (see bottom links in this column), an article from regarding hundreds of millions of dollars illegally donated:

“In addition to the donations the campaign has disclosed, however, it has taken an unprecedented $218 million from donors whose names it is keeping secret, according to FEC spokesman Robert Biersack. That money came from individuals who in theory never passed the threshold of $200, the limit the FEC set for public disclosure of a donor’s name and place of residence, so there is no way of knowing how much foreign money could be included in that amount.

    to keep reading:

A MILITARY-style operation to keep Barack Obama alive was under way yesterday within hours of his victory.

Even as the US President-elect celebrated with more than 160,000 supporters in Grant Park, Chicago, he did so from behind bullet-proof glass 12ft high and 3ins thick.

Mr Obama, wife Michelle, running mate Joe Biden and his wife Jill were under instructions not to stray from the line-of-fire protection zone.

This zone had been identified by FBI agents pointing lasers at the stage from every building surrounding the park.

America will have to get used to such scenes. Such are the concerns for Mr Obama’s safety that many are already voicing their fears he may not even reach the White House.

Emory Douglas of the Black Panthers rights group said: “Nothing can be taken for granted that he actually will be the next President of the United States. There are people who don’t want Obama in that position and some of them are powerful.
“There could easily be an assassination or a campaign to ruin him before he begins his term because of what he represents.

Nothing is out of the question. Until January when he is inaugurated, we just don’t know if we will see a black man in charge.”

  49. There must be some overriding reason why they want this nowhere man in the presidency. All the rules we live by and respect have been suspended for him, no track record to be traced, no accomplishments. He has to be the puppet of some indidual or some group that has leverage over the system. Billions were sent to trick the system to get him in. This first black president thing is a front for some other reason, and it almost certainly financial. I know that attracts certain people but it is meant to do that and the pavlovian response has been factored in from the beginning. Who controls this guy and what is their agenda. That is the 10 trilllon dollar question. I wonder how many people.

  51. Short, I don’t know but it does not look like a hoax. I now forget where I got it from, may be a comment at NQ.

  52. wobbei, could it be a coaliton of nations that Obama is trying to form and take over the world? I seem to remember him saying more than once that he was not only going to change America, but he is going to change the world and other such as that.

  53. wbboei, that UK article is also disturbing. A more trivial but important reason for not vetting is to not enrage the wrong elements. But then why propel a man with so many bad associations and scandals into the race. I don’t know. Nothing is what it appears to be on the surface with this election.

  54. pm317, thanks. I was more worried about that little girl who was told by the teacher that the Iraqi war was a senseless war, and that John McCain had promised her that her Daddy would be in Iraq for a 100 years, and then clarified it a little bit but the little girl did not catch the clarificiation. How cruel!!!

  55. Short, I am sorry but your question made me laugh. I can’t even visualize what it is to take over the world.

  56. P.S. much to my delight Taylor Marsh has closed shop and only has her own boring videos and pics on her site. She was such a turncoat after Hillary got kicked out. I was duped by her rhetoric in her support for Hillary in the primary and she sometimes railed against sexism; but partook of it for Obama.

  57. Short, I also felt bad for that girl. She was probably already terrified of her dad being in the army and what a nonsensical thing to spew a campaign talking point at her.

  58. How will President Obama deploy his Internet army?

By Frank Greve | McClatchy Newspapers

WASHINGTON — A powerful new lobbying force is coming to town: Barack Obama’s triumphant army of 3.1 million Internet-linked donors and volunteers.

How Obama will use his ardent laptop-armed cadres is unclear. So is the extent to which they’ll rally behind his priorities, press him for their own or both.

Joe Trippi, the Internet politics guru whose computer geeks made Howard Dean a contender in 2004 and who went on to design Obama’s socially networked campaign machine, offers a provocative and educated guess.

Trippi predicted that Obama would use his forces, first and foremost, to intimidate congressional foes of his agenda, rally his allies and forge “one of the most powerful presidencies in American history.”

Certainly, Obama reaches the White House with the biggest, best organized, fastest-acting grass-roots army in the history of presidential campaigning.

Moreover, because his Internet operation was miles ahead of Republican John McCain’s, Obama’s liberal-to-libertarian electronic activists are in a position to dominate the new political medium much as conservative Republicans dominate talk radio.

As for political utility, many thousands of volunteers such as Hood will be deployable within hours, with great precision and at almost no cost, thanks to the campaign’s state-of-the-art information-management systems.

The president-elect’s political operatives know, for example, the ZIP codes and hence the congressional districts of each of Obama’s million most active campaigners, those who volunteered via his Web site It’s a social network that the campaign set up to communicate needs, events and assignments to volunteers.

The profiles that Obama campaigners submitted to the site also reveal which supporters in each district are environmentalists, concerned about health care or keen on government reform.

Moreover, because the so-called “MyBO” site quantified volunteers’ participation and fundraising totals digitally, there’s a numeric score for each participant’s success. It’s even adjusted to give more credit for recent help.

“We really know who Obama’s community leaders are,” issue by issue, said Thomas Gensemer, the managing director of Blue State Digital, the Washington-based mobilizer of online communities created by four Dean campaign veterans.

Instead of e-mailing members of Congress, Gensemer continued, Obama’s most effective supporters will meet with them in their district offices and press them at local town hall meetings.

Trippi offered a more dramatic scenario: “Obama will be able to say these are the 10 members of Congress standing in our way on health care. Basically, it’ll be the president and the people united, with some members of Congress in between, which won’t be a very comfortable place to be.”

A million Obama activists nationwide translate to an average of nearly 2,300 for each of 435 congressional districts. “And if someone in my district had a list of them with e-mail addresses and a lot of good will, I’d pay a lot of attention to them,” said Scott Lilly, a senior staffer for Democrats in the House of Representatives for nearly 30 years.

One question, Lilly continued, is whether Obama’s activists are concentrated in liberal urban Democratic districts, where Obama needs no help, and not much of a presence in conservative ones, where resistance is most likely.

For example, Lilly wondered how numerous Obama supporters are in, say, Panama City, Fla. It’s a hub of Florida’s 2nd Congressional District, in the state’s conservative Panhandle and represented by Allen Boyd, a Blue Dog Democrat.

Asked that question in late October, Alvin Peters, the chairman of the Democratic Party in Bay County, which includes Panama City, responded with shock and awe: “I’ve never seen so much political energy in this district ever,” he said. “It’s 10 to 20 times more than Kerry — maybe 1,400 in little Panama City alone — and it’s all local!”

That’s great news for Obama, whose legislative fate may depend most on his ability to persuade conservative Democrats.

What his supporters will accomplish in Republican districts is another uncertainty.

“If they’re networked into PTA meetings and barbershops and call-in talk shows, they can let people know that their guy isn’t doing what we want him to do. That could be an extraordinarily powerful tool,” Lilly said.

He and others presume that Obama will pass on his activist database to the Democratic National Committee and/or a new nonprofit that takes direction from the Obama White House. That’s permitted under MyBO’s privacy policy, which says that its names and data may be turned over to “organizations with similar political viewpoints and objectives, in furtherance of our own political objectives.”

The Federal Election Commission is unlikely to step in, said Washington lawyer Jan Baran, who’s a specialist on federal election law, ethics and lobbying. “The FEC has generally laid off regulating Internet-based activity by political organizations and individuals,” Baran said.

  59. djia, that is an interesting article. 63. Palin Aide Offers Strong Rebuke to Criticisms
    Share November 06, 2008 9:42 PM

ABC’s Kate Snow reports: A longtime aide to Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is lashing back at anonymous critics within the McCain-Palin presidential campaign, telling ABC News they are attacking the former vice presidential candidate with distortions.

Meg Stapleton offers an explanation of some of the more stinging criticisms that have come out in recent days since the McCain-Palin defeat.

Regarding the $150,000 worth of clothing the campaign bought Palin, Stapleton says a New York stylist was given a blank check and told to go and make Palin look presidential.

According to Stapleton, Palin saw a price tag of $3,500 on one outfit and said she didn’t want to wear it. Stapleton says Palin was simply presented with her wardrobe and staff. Palin was told “here’s your people, here are your clothes.”

Stapleton adds that the McCain staffers tried to hide the cost of the wardrobe. “They said, ‘bill the convention under wardrobe so that the cost could be hidden.’ And then they realized and they were told that’s illegal. So then they said, ‘OK, how do we make this legal and appropriate?’ So they had somebody pay for it and then the RNC (Republican National Committee) would reimburse them.”

According to Stapleton, the campaign said, “‘this is what you need as a VP candidate.’ It was the campaign and/or the RNC … But it wasn’t the governor saying this is what she needs.”

Stapleton says $150,000 was the original bill for the clothing, but after some merchandise was returned, the cost went down to $107,000.

There was also a directive to buy any and all clothes before Sept. 4, the day the Republican convention in St. Paul ended, so that it could be buried as part of other convention costs. The campaign also bought clothing for the children, so they, too, would look nice, Stapleton added.

Regarding another stinging criticism, Stapleton claims that the Fox News report Thursday — that quoted unnamed sources inside the now defunct McCain campaign, saying Palin didn’t know Africa is a continent — was taken out of context.

Stapleton says that during a briefing session, someone asked Palin to explain the McCain-Palin stance on an issue, and as she was responding, “in the middle, she said, ‘country of Africa’ and somebody instantly wrote it down, and said, ‘Oh, my God, she thinks it’s a country.'”

But Stapleton insists, “She knows it’s a continent. It was just a human mistake, just like Obama saying 57 states. I don’t think anyone ever doubted that Obama knows there are 50 states.”

Stapleton adds that a McCain-Palin campaign speechwriter was flown in to write a speech for Governor Palin to deliver Tuesday night after the election results were in. But after a discussion, aides decided Palin would not give a speech that evening — only McCain would speak.

Stapleton says Palin didn’t understand why they would bring in a speechwriter and then not use the speech they wrote for her which was complimentary of McCain.

  70. smells like a fund-raising front
    By Michelle Malkin • November 7, 2008 05:02 AM

Let’s look at who’s operating Obama’s .gov site. It’s being run by Blue State Digital, the left-wing Internet fund-raising company that presided over the credit card fraud-friendly Obama campaign site. A tipster traced the IP address:

Walks, talks, and smells like a fund-raising front to me.

Meantime, readers have been sifting through the site. Here are screenshots of two creepy items to keep an eye on. America Serves…or else!

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

  71. dija: Is that for real? I served in Peace Corps many moons ago, but it was my choice. No one crammed it down my throat.

  72. I have volunteered quite a bit and for the first time, I will not be lifting my body to anything for sometime…..

    Michelle Obama’s Radical Boot Camp
An article today at describes how the obamessiah and his USA-loving wife founded and plan to expand a brainwashing bootcamp program into a brownshirt youth corps.

Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, “Universal Voluntary Public Service.” Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they’ll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of “social change.”

  74. They claimed on a C-PAN show with News Week panelists who traveled with the various campaigns that BO was very concerned about whether he “needed” Hillary for the ticket and asked his advisers repeatedly ……they summarily rejected her as “too polarizing” and feared Bill’s presence. I dislike BO on many levels, but his inner circle were arguably even more hateful than he and his wife.

  75. i read somewhere recently that it was opposite of that, that both BHO and MHO absolutely would never accept hillary and it was the campaign staff that kept saying to him that HE NEEDED HER

  76. pm317 Says:

    November 6th, 2008 at 9:22 pm

Hawaii, huh? Maybe the fake birth certificate isn’t good enough, and they’re going back to make one that will hold up under the scrutiny of the best document specialists, should they be summoned by the Electoral College.

Electoral College: great party school. Sucky marching band. Even worse football team, simply dreadful.

  77. Did you all hear the giddy comment that Oprah said last night. I am paraphrasing it, but she basically said that she understand the feelings of the people who didn’t vote for Barack like the 52% of us. She stressed the 52% because of it being a majority and then she grinned. She said how she cried and blah, blah, blah. I thought that was so tacky!!!!!!! She snubbed her nose at us.

Someone said that Oprah is a businesswoman and have to tread carefully about letting her show get too politcal. She has a lot of conservative viewers.

They also spoke about what an influence she had on Obama’s victory.

  78. On a gut level, I’ll side with djia on this issue. Obama’s staff may have wanted to ensure victory, and that he did it without Hillary is probably largely due to the Lehman / Bailout financial meltdown, because from June through late September, McCain kept closing the lead, until he passed Obummer.

I think Obama’s deep personal animosity toward Clinton, which I’m sure is mutually held by her of him, was the reason that never came to fruition.

I cannot under any circumstances see Obama sayin, “I think I need Hillary on the ticket”. If he would have wanted that, there’s no way in hell his advisors could talk him out of it.

  79. rgb44hrc,

I do think Hillary helped him get enough working class votes to win by campaigning for him in OH, PA and FL.

  80. I agree with some parts ofd this assessment:

    Hillary elected Barack Obama.
Single handedly she delivered the White House to him on a silver platter.
She led millions of her supporters from outrage to complacency.
She appeared a record seventy-nine times on behalf of Barack Obama.
    She played follow the leader.
    And her supporters followed.
    In droves.
Thousands of her supporters, ignored her pleas.
Outraged by the misogynistic treatment of Hillary during the primaries, they campaigned all over the country for John McCain. These women remembered being bullied by Obama supporters during the Texas caucuses and watching buses transport Obama supporters across state lines to illegally vote in primaries. These “Real Democrats” or “Democrats for McCain” approached young women, old women, straight women, gay women, and urged them to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin. They traveled every weekend from New York to Scranton to canvas for John McCain. Others drove around Ohio in a motor home putting flyers on cars and talking to voters. Others were interviewed on by television and radio hosts. Thousands blogged.
But no matter how hard we worked, one appearance by Hillary Clinton on national television stumping for Obama erased their efforts.
There was no way to win.
Many Hillary supporters asked them, Why is Hillary campaigning so hard for Obama? Others argued back, Hillary told us to vote for Obama or Hillary is my leader, I will do whatever she says.
For their efforts their friends call us racist and their bank accounts dwindled.
Hillary could have stayed silent. Her silence would have been deafening.
Hillary could have made one or two perfunctory appearances for Obama, but she chose to aggressively campaign for him. She did not have to do it.
She campaigned for Obama knowing he was mute when his pastor trashed her from the pulpit.
She campaigned for Obama knowing he was blind when his supporters wore t-shirts that read, Iron my Shirt, but don’t run my country. Or worse.
She campaigned for Obama knowing he was silent when Ludacris called her a bitch.
She campaigned for Obama knowing the Obama campaign cheated in the caucuses and was the illegitimate nominee.
She campaigned for Obama knowing Obama and the DNC refused to have a true roll call at the convention.
She campaigned for Obama knowing Obama under the guise of ACORN registered tens of thousands of illegitimate voters.
She campaigned for Obama after he ignored pleas from her 18 million voters to select her for VP.
She campaigned for Obama after he trashed her husband’s legacy.
She campaigned for Obama after she was consistantly and visciously attacked by the mainstream media.
She campaigned for Obama knowing that her supporters, many of whom invested a year of their lives to help her campaign, wanted her to fight on.
She campaigned for Obama knowing that millions upon millions of women across the world were routing for her.
Hillary was delivered the perfect storm.
She could have stood up and fought for us.
All the the women in this country that have been inivisible all our lives.
She could have given us courage.
She could have rocked the world.
Instead, she chose to put party before principle.
She chose to put her career above the wants and needs of her supporters.
She chose to work within the party rather than against it.
She may have put 18 million cracks in a glass ceiling, but she sent a resounding message to the women of the world. Go back to the man who abused you.
It takes courage to break a glass ceiling.
You have to be able to give a punch as well as take one.
You have to be willing to stand alone.
    Hillary could have transcended politics.
    She didn’t.
Instead she lost the respect of myself and millions of women like me.

  81. I agree with ALL aspects of that assessment!!!!!! Maybe Sarah Palin would be the one we need. She should run as a senator to get into Washington and become more “polished” and go from there.

  82. I think Hillary appearing with Biden (vs. BO) was the key…

People, especially older folks trusted Biden…with Hillary and Biden they felt more comfortable…

My older neighbor was one of those…once Biden was chosen she felt comfortable and she just disliked Palin…

  83. I really came to admire Palin the more I got to know her!!!!

I really, really do respect her!!!!

And as someone is very pro-choice personally, I DIT NOT FIND her stance on the anti-abortion issue and religious education very radical at all.

And I have to say this…I liked seeing her in suits and skirts etc!!!!

I agree will 100% of that assessment

I even heard Lynn de Rothschild on fox say pretty much the same thing ” hillary will have a lot to answer for with her supporters if she decides to try again”

  85. The parts I agree with…

She remained silent on issues that matter to me; she was very vocal on issues that while important, they paled in comparison to the issues of integrity, truth and trust that I value.

  86. social convservatives are confortable with Sarah Palin but a lof of people are not comfortable with her in this difficult time. if Mccain picked Mitt Romney, he might lose some social converservative votes but he might would have got more votes from other groups (independents and working class).

  87. shortermer and pm317 – TM and sadly the female blogger at TL…the two biggest disappointments for me in the female bloggers…not only did they immediately pivot to O, but they were actually worse than the men in savaging Palin…how they could say half the stuff they did about another woman is beyond me…go after her issues, fine…but they used all the usual sterotypical slurs and personal attacks on her…really sickening…

I left TM a long time ago but once in a while would peek in to see if they had come to their senses…same old few posters saying the same thing, over and over…and that other female blogger actually censors and deletes comments if they don’t fall into line…one minute you are there and the next you are gone… I find that particularly odd for someone who claims to be a progressive and a lawyer…does not say much for free speech or diversity of opinion…

btw…heard Gergen on Oprah singing Hillary’s praises about how influential and instrumental she had been…and ‘almost’ made it…he went on to state she made 70 appearances for obama…the Democratic party owes Hillary…they better not mess with our girl…

  88. mp,

in this election cycle, ecomomic is the main concern and it trumps everything else. if McCain picked Mitt Romney, then it means he concerned the economic. but he picked Sarah Palin, it looked like he would like to campign for social issues than economic.

  89. One thing we can all agree on is that Chris Mathews is a disgrace to any first yr journalism student and should be fired asap. I am not upset with Hillary as she was dammed if she did and dammed if she did not
work for BO. A politician without a party has little or no ability to make a difference. She put aside her dislike and I am sure Bill’s even great dislike for BO, and did what they had to do. She and McCain will have a long conversation , perhaps over a few shots, and decide how they can still be effective players in their respective parties. I am a Clinton supporter first and foremost, while I voted for McCain( a great American and true deserving over the fraud BO), I am not willing to question why Hillary did what she did given the uncredible and historic campaign she waged.

  90. jbstonesfan

I also agree with you totally. I don’t think Hillary should be blamed for losing an election, and I don’t think she should be attacked for being a loyal member of the Democratic Party.

I certainly don’t like nor support the left wing group that have taken over the party, and I suspect she doesn’t either. I’m sure she merely wants to accomplish some good things for this country. She can only do that within the party, and she has to grin and bear it when it comes to some of the drivel she has to work with.

I didn’t like hearing her speaking on behalf of that probable alien who won the recent election, but I believe she has the very best of intentions for us. She probably hopes to do better for us with a so-called Democrat in the White House. I can understand that, and I still support Hillary.

  96. Defending Sarah

The North Carolina GOP chairwoman, Linda Daves, stands up for Sarah Palin and urges other Republican officials to do the same.

It’s a reflection of the battle for Palin’s future in the party and an indication of how much affection she earned at the grassroots level.

That said, nobody I know is trying to “pin the loss” on Palin. After all, it was McCain and his top aides who choose her. The post-mortem spin is more geared around the unpopularity of President Bush and economic crisis. But if frustration with Palin by McCain staffers — and at themselves and one another for being complicit in her selection and poor handling — can be deemed as ‘blaming Sarah’ all the better for her defenders who want to uncork their frustration with the campaign and set her up for the future:

“Now that this campaign has drawn to a close, John McCain has responded to defeat with the grace and dignity we expect from a man who has dedicated his life to serving his country. However, reportedly, members of his staff are not responding with the same grace. Instead, cowardly unsigned statements and whisper campaigns are beginning to pin this loss on the choice of Sarah Palin as a vice-presidential nominee. Not only was Sarah Palin the first Republican woman to ever be nominated for the position, representing a significant step forward for the Republican Party, she also presented herself as a strong and capable leader in touch with regular people across America. She deserves our thanks for her unique contributions to our campaign and our Party. During this campaign, she inspired millions of Americans both with her life story and ability to articulate common sense conservative principles and relate them to the issues and challenges that face America. Those trying to disparage her to save their own political careers should be ashamed. The North Carolina Republican Party stands up for Sarah Palin. I urge my fellow party chairmen in states across the country to call for an end to the infighting and backbiting and help our party look

  97. I am one of many, many women I know that would have voted McCain hands down over Obama; but when he put Sarah Palin on the ticket it was a super-winner. None of us wanted Romney to get it; and one especially important point is faith: Sarah Palin did not push her faith about pro-life and anti-gay on anybody, and neither did Romney to be fair, but his religion may have and that worried me. The LDS in Utah spent millions of dollars to defeat the Proposition in CA and they along with the long discriminated blacks defeated it.
Now, I believe with every fiber of my being that the abortion issue [I will call it] and religion in general are PERSONAL matters. You believe what you want to believe, I believe what I want to believe, you have an abortion if you want it or not, I will have an abortion [never will need it] if I want to or not, but one person should NEVER force someone to BELIEVE the way they believe, that is communism or something. And there must always be a separation of CHURCH and state, and these two issues are the best examples of why – one group forcing their beliefs on every other group out there. Like it or not, we are a diverse nation; there is the right, there is the left, there is the center, and there are all variations in between. Some are very religious, some are moderately religious, some have no religion, and some religions are terrorists. And there should be NO discrimination toward any group ever allowed, condoned, prompted, or forced on any one individual must less any group. You know, women, remain among those groups – now for more than 200 years.
I do get tickled over the marriage thing though. If I am correct, the legal obligation to get married was brought about to obtain information by the municipalities and government
AND to tax people. It is a piece of paper. It is government issued. It is a tax. It does not make you any more married than jumping over a broom. Margaret Hoover, one of the under 30 group got it right on O’Reilly – their generation will change it, there should be no discrimination. I keep remembering this little statement from years ago: ‘You are special, cause God didn’t make no junk.’ My, how I have changed in my old age.

  98. I am 100% disagree that Hillary was responsible for losing the election.

And, obviously Obama didn’t “need” her after all because his mobsters won the election for him.

If I’m going to blame anyone, and I sooo think that is a waste of energy, it would be the thugs, the DNC, Soros, the media…and on and on and on…

  99. Greta is a true jounalist. As she said on her show last night, if you disagree with Palin on her policies and go after her about that, so be it. Because she, herself, don’t agree with all of Palin’s policies. But to make mean, personal and anonymous attacks is disgusting.

It was talk before from the GOP that Sarah will be used as the scapegoat if McCain lost, so this was already in the works.

The GOP better be defending Sarah Palin now. She is the reason the GOP was even given a second look!!

  109. I just received a thank you email from John and Cindy McCain. I had wanted to say this but did not know how to contact them. Here is my reply:
Dear Patriot John McCain and wife Cindy,

You fought a valiant fight, and I helped a little bit. Sarah Palin was
the supercharger for me, as I am a loyal Hillary Clinton supporter as well.
It was not possible to ‘win’ this election for either Hillary or yourself. And for that I am, for the first time in my adult life not so proud of my fellow Americans.

I request four things of you and Cindy, please. These are:

-request publicly that sexism and misogyny through the media be halted for Sarah Palin. When they criticize her, I only like her more. But, as with Hillary, every low blow and slur transfers straight to every woman in the nation. The scars will remain.

-please work with Senator Clinton and make this world better for us

-please keep Joe Lieberman’s back, I respected him and learned to love him.

-that you, Hillary, and Joe work to mentor this rising star of the Republican party, Sarah Palin.

She transcends the issues we disagree on like pro-life and anti-gay, she is smart, she just needs some mentoring and shadowing in the footsteps of those who have already walked the path.

  110. I will say one thing for the repubs vs the dems…as bad as the ‘mccain anonymous insiders’ are in thrashing palin…I think on balance the repubs, especially the repub women, came out far stronger and louder in defense of palin during the elections season and even now…the dem women were for the most part very reluctant to even take the issue on, let alone protect or stand for hillary…when i saw barbara boxer poo poo the sexism, the democratic leftie feminists actually attacked Hillary as not good enough, “not this woman, BS”… and of course our good old DNC and Pelosi who never even noticed Hillary being pilloried…

and who can forget ‘the view’ and good old barbara walters who does not even understand why people bring up sexism…according to her, there is no such thing as sexism…

the repub women ended up standing up more for women than our own…

there is a trust that is gone…so much hypocrisy on our side…and venom that was/ is hard to believe…

The Repub women are doing a much better job of standing up for Sarah Palin. Good for them. It is sad
that no one came out in Hillary’s defense. ALL women should stand up to sexism including Hillary.

Palin Still Wildly Popular with Republicans
Posted by: Amanda Carpenter at 11:14 AM
Despite the onslaught of unflattering stories being leaked to the media from McCain staffers about Sarah Palin’s allegedly unsavory behavior behind closed doors through the campaign, she remains incredibly popular among Republicans.

Rasmussen Reports found a whopping 91 percent of Republicans retain a favorable view of the former vice presidential candidate.

Palin’s name also ranked at the top of those Republicans would consider to become their GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee. 64 percent said Palin would be their top choice. Mike Huckabee came in far behind at second with only 12 percent and Mitt Romney netted 11 percent.

Bobby Jindal, Charlie Crist and Tim Pawlenty were also mentioned as future contenders, but only ranked support in the single digits.

Emanuel Was Director Of Freddie Mac During Scandal
New Obama Chief of Staff, Others on Board, Missed “Red Flags” of Alleged Fraud Scheme
    November 7, 2008

President-elect Barack Obama’s newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot “red flags,” according to government reports reviewed by

According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002.

Emanuel was not named in the SEC complaint (click here to read) but the entire board was later accused by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) (click here to read) of having “failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention.”

In a statement to, a spokesperson said Emanuel served on the board for “13 months-a relatively short period of time.”

The spokesperson said that while on the board, Emanuel “believed that Freddie Mac needed to address concerns raised by Congressional critics.”

Freddie Mac agreed to pay a $50 million penalty in 2007 to settle the SEC complaint and four top executives of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation were charged with negligent conduct and, like the company, agreed to settle the case without admitting or denying the allegations.

The actions by Freddie Mac are cited by some economists as the beginning of the country’s economic meltdown.

The federal government this year was forced to take over Freddie Mac and a sister federal mortgage agency, Fannie Mae, pledging at least $200 billion in public funds.

Freddie Mac records have been subpoenaed by the Justice Department as part of its investigation of the suspect accounting procedures.

Emanuel was named to the Freddie Mac board by President Bill Clinton in 2000 and resigned his position when he ran for Congress in May, 2001.

  120. Re the earlier posts of how much Hillary helped Obama:

If HRC would have done just a couple of appearances, and through her silence send a signal, almost certainly there would have been less folks who would have gone on to vote for Obama.

But I think it is extremely difficult to prove that this was the one deciding factor. Assuming minimal HRC visibility after Denver on Obama’s behalf, he might have won any way. The big September Surprise was the financial meltdown. McCain’s newly acquired lead got engulfed in that. Unfairly or not, “the party in charge” was seen as the Repubs (WH), even though Dems were in charge of both houses of Congress. And the voters assigned that blame to the Repubs, even though many Dems were responsible for Fannie/Freddy oversight, and banking oversight.

I did not enjoy seeing her campaign so hard for Obama. But I don’t know her inner circles.

She probably was trying to position herself for respect within her party, in case Obama gets nailed in a scandal, such as his house, or any other skeletons in that man’s closet.

He’s the man who unleashed Olbermann and Maddow–and made MSNBC the left’s answer to Fox. It’s been ratings gold, but the Obama administration poses a slew of knotty dilemmas: Will Olbermann and Maddow defend the administration against its critics? Or will they fulminate when it inevitably disappoints Obama’s lefty fans? By all accounts Griffin, recently described as a “hippie,” isn’t exactly a disciplinarian. Olbermann once declared, “Phil thinks he’s my boss.”

  123. I heard Tina Fey say something about it was easy to portray Sarah Palin and they didn’t have to think of anything funny because Sarah Palin “talked funny”. They are always mocking her speech. I was surprised to read recently that when the Clintons first came to Washington, they was thought of as Arkansas hicks! I never thought of them as hicks. But looking at some of there earlier tv footage, they are more “polished” now from being Washington D.C. Some in D.C. also said that they didn’t like Clinton’s looser style of governing. But Clinton said that Washington was an eyeopener for him because it was very different from his style in Arkansas.

Washington D.C. seems to mock and ridicule an Washington outsiders. Also read that the Clintons didn’t mingle with the elites in Washington like some people assumed they did. That is what angered some of them in Washington.

By ABM90 The word Speech ryhmes with Impeach and he has to start worrying about all of the devious characters and the crooks that had so much influence in delivering him to the Oval Office that just might serve as a cell for this wannabe.

  135. birdgal
He said he spoke with former presidents, the live ones. And then he mentioned Nancy Reagan. I didn’t become physically ill listenning to him. Lots of ahs but nothing with any substance. Easy questions.

charlie gibson and Jake tapper, stefanopolous said ” he didn’t talk about much substance” LOL!!!

He’s the Democrats version of Bush. Same secretiveness. Same bubble. Same “on message” discipline. Same inattention to details. Same claim to be “a uniter”. But in actuality, same “my way or the highway”.

And same Media taking it up the ___ for yet another empty suit.

  137. birdgal;

It was awkward ugly and stupid, and he did it to recover because he stupidly began by saying he consulted all the “living” ex presidents. He should have just moved on or said “obviously” instead he made fun of Nancy Reagan holding seances.

She did nothing to deserve that it was his dopiness he was covering for. It was not a good start.

  138. rgb,

I didn’t thoink it was possible for anyone to be worse than GWB until baracula stole the GE.
At least GWB was just dumb.

Baracula is nasty arrogant and dumb. Not a good combo.

He sure has middle-age – elderly white women issues; HRC, granny, Nabcy.

    I hate him.

  139. Talking about impeachment….

If Bill Clinton could be impeached for lying….can’t Obama be impeached for providing false documents (birth certificate). This would go back to all jobs he applied for, such as lawyer, etc., and any time he claimed to be a US citizen.

Or he could just show a real birth certificate. Since he probably can’t, or else he would have already, then we’ll have to find out what authority(ies) could ask for such a determination to be made. I suppose we’ll have to monitor

Here is the most recent post from that page:

Lan Lamphere thinks it’s time to take the issue of Obama’s citiznship away from the fringe,
and bring it into perspective. “Why is it that we, as a nation, must accept Barack H. Obama as the President of the United States in order to resolve this issue, as well as many other issues surrounding his election, history and affiliations?” asks Lan Lamphere.

Phil J. Berg will be Lan’s guest to discuss next steps and strategy. Tune in live and take the opportunity to phone in your questions and comments.

The program airs at 10:00PM EST. Live stream on Patriot Brigade Radio.

If you missed previous programs with Phil J. Berg, Congressman Ron Paul, and Andy Martin, they are being re-broadcast until the start of the live show. Direct Link

Yep, he is a jerk. How many living past presidents? Carter, Bush, and Clinton. The best choice would be Clinton.

I’m glad, he didn’t consult with the dead presidents. What a doofus.

  141. And the pogrom is in full swing.

Lieberman to be stripped of chair. Threatens to caucus with repubs.

  142. the way i see it, gibson, tapper, stef…… are giving a glimpse even before he takes office of how he will be perceived

and ” an empty suit….no substance”

they would of never admitted he that he didn’t really say anything of substance during the primary/GE

  143. dija,

F*** GS, Tapper and Gibson. WTF didn’t they do their jobs during the primaries and GE?

POS’s!!!!! Now thye’re probably getting wind of the fairness doctrine’s return and are scared about their jobs.

Sorry but i am in a FOUL F***ing mood!!!!!

  144. At least Liebermann is fighting back which is more than I can say for some dems.

the Politico has just posted a story on Joe Lieberman’s battle to hang on to his plum committee slot, but Politico kind of buries the lede. The real story here is that Lieberman’s aides are now openly threatening Senate leader Harry Reid by saying that Lieberman will stop caucusing with Dems if his chairmanship is revoked:

“Senator Lieberman’s preference is to stay in the caucus, but he’s going to keep all his options open,” a Lieberman aide said. “McConnell has reached out to him and at this stage his position is he wants to remain in the caucus but losing the chairmanship is unacceptable.”
That’s pretty clear cut. Lieberman’s aide is leaking the threat that he wants to remain in the caucus but that losing his committee slot is “unacceptable” — meaning that he’ll bolt the caucus if it happens.

  145. emjay,

i heard about that. They call BO creepie and say he’s invented a ‘creature’ to play the part of BO . . .

again, more despicablely cowardly ex-journalistic behavior. where were these insights during the ge?

  146. Baaaaaawaaaa haaaa. Somebody help me. I can’t stop laughing and I need to breathe.

The guys over at RedState have a new nickname for our President-elect They call hm:

  147. here is one of the prophesies that is complete. Let me know what you think:

In the Native American Culture the group is matters more than the leader. The leader’s role is more fluid than fixed. More collaborative than hierarchial. The leader is not above the group but a part of it. He or she has special obligations to the group, and speaks for its interests.

If the leader ventures out into the wilderness to hunt or to fish the tribe hopes he will return with food. But that does not always happen especially in winter when food is scarce. If the leader returns after a long hunt with food everyone is happy. If the leader returns with no food the tribe knows he did whatever he could to find it and accepts the fact that it was not there. They do not demand to know every detail and they would never dream of banishing the leader for this. They know the leader well enough to trust him and to realize that their disappointment is as nothing compared to his. They tighten their belt and wait for another day to resume the hunt. In the meantime, they survive.

In this election, the people in our tribe (including me) have fallen into some bad thinking habits. In the beginning of the campaign Hillary had an open forum in which to state her views. She was able to make a compelling case for her candidacy. She prevailed against an opponent who cheated her, outspent her and slandered her at every turn because he is a thug. She beat him in the primaries and won 18 million votes. She beat him so badly in the debates that by the end of the campaign he refused to debate her. She survived constant attacks from a Big Media who was in the tank for Obama and was hell bent on destroying her. She is a remarkable woman.

But our leader was truthful to us. She presented herself as a problem solver. Unlike him she never claimed to be a Messiah. We are the ones who imputed that quality to her. Thus, we fell into the same trap as delusional bots. In Native American parlayance this remarkable woman warrior went out into the wilderness and brought back not just a single buffalo but the entire herd. In our world she put 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling.

When the primary was over, she lost that forum. She had more wisdom, experience and moral courage than any othe candidate. Yet corrupt party elders chose her opponent. Why? One reason: they refuse to accept a woman candidate for President. Consequently, they bribed, blackmailed and threatened to primary superdelegatesto deny her a path to the nomination. That is why she suspended the campaign.

Now suppose she had done what most of us wanted her to do at that point and taken the matter to the Convention. In that case, Big Media and the DNC would have labeled her a power hungry conniving bitch determined to destroy the party and undermine the hopes and dreams of the AA community.

During the primary she promised to campaign for other democrats and whoever the nominee turned out to be. This was consistent with traditional practice. Therefore, when they stole the nomination from her she kept her promise. Yes, she campaiged for the thug, and I could not bear to watch it. But there was no other way for her to survive in the party and serve her constituents.

In Native American lore, the same woman warrior returned to the hunting grounds but the buffalo were gone. Unbeknownst to her, black and white male buffalo hunters had ventured on the hunting ground with sharps rifles and slaughtered the buffalo before she returned. She could shoot arrows into the ground but it would do no good because the buffalo were all gone.

  148. ::sniffle sniffle::

    that is so sad. 😥

  149. I have had some doubts about Lieberman since 2006 but if he stands his ground against Reid and is capable of holding his own opionion then he will earn my respect.

They claimed on a C-PAN show with News Week panelists who traveled with the various campaigns that BO was very concerned about whether he “needed” Hillary for the ticket and asked his advisers repeatedly ……they summarily rejected her as “too polarizing” and feared Bill’s presence.

I found the actual forum- it is still on c-span’s first page under “Recent Programs” title is

Newsweek 2008 Election Project Luncheon Forum (November 6, 2008:)

Thanks jbstonesfan- I learned a ton!

Again, it is a good reminder to go to the source. Thanx for the roadmap.

  151. Hillfriends, Greetings! Just checking in briefly. I agree with all you here who have begun a constructive discussion about next steps to create a bi-partisan new agenda for advancing women in our society. This cuts across every race, national origin and creed.

Say, have you all discussed a grassroots campaign to hold BO’s stinky feet to the fire on his cabinet appointments and their subsequent appointments? He should appoint WOMEN TO AT LEAST 50% OF HIS CABINET POSITIONS, and SEPARATELY, THE “TOP 5” (SOS, DEFENSE, TREASURY, AG, NAT SECURITY). He also should appoint 12% AA, 10% hispanic, etc. His cabinet, more than any other in the past, must reflect American demographics.

Perhaps we can persuade Lady Lynn to help lead a campaign. We’d have to start now.

Gotta go now, keep the faith!

  152. Idunn

The shorter man’s name is Robert Reich, Secretary of Labor in Clinton’s cabinet…very smart, very short and very much a turncoat…he has been negative about the Clintons ever since he wrote his I-worked-in-the-whitehouse book and did not endorse our girl in the primaries. He also has a severe Napoleanic complex.

That does not make him any less smart or experienced.
    Just short and unbearably snotty.

  153. IllinoisUnderground

Lady Lynn already thinking along those lines..several of us here have an email from her and would gladly forward it.

    Just give a holler.

The Native American People have watched the turn of the seasons. They know that hard times will pass over the land when certain events occur. If the buffalo disappear there will be no food. If an unseasonably cold winter sets in, they can freeze. If sickness hits the tribe they can perish. If war comes they can be wiped out or lose their freedom. When hard times hit the tribe they band together to face the common enemy. They remember how their ancestors faced similar travails. They find strength in the values that sustain them as a people. They take the precautions they must and are patient. They see the crisis as a time to learn, grow and mature.

Today, our country is facing a perfect storm of crises. The first storm cell is the economy. The mortgage crisis we now have will be followed by a similar crisis in consumer loans (credit card, student loans, car loans), two years of zero GDP growth, staggering budget deficits and hyper inflation. The second storm cell is internal security. If Homeland Security warnings are to be believed, there may be a terrorist attack on US soil soon. The third storm cell is the imminent risk of another war. Joe Biden has assured us that there will be a serious international crisis in the first six months of his presidency which will test the untested Obama and Biden will be there to save his ass which is all very comforting. But when a nation faces existential threats like these, its survival depends on the caliber of leadership in the Oval Office. Fortunately, in the Revolutionary War we had Washington, in the Civil War we had Lincoln, and in the Depression we had Roosevelt. These were people with experience, integrity and moral courage. Those were the very qualities 18 million of us saw in Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. And that is why we find it so tragic that her party saw fit to deny her the nomination.

Enter Barack Hussein Obama—a man of questionable character, toxic associations and no practical experience. What you see is not what you get. On the surface he looks like an affable camp counselor. Low information people respond to that plus his race. But beneath the surface, Obama is a Machiavellian who uses others to do his dirty work. He is a schmoozer who has climbed to the pinnacle of power by playing the race card, cheating and associating with political fixers. His legislative record is non-existent. In business affairs he has never run so much as a hot dog stand. He has a marked tendency to avoid controversial decisions. One hundred twenty times he vote present in the Legislature. He is immature, narcissistic, vindictive and misogynistic. He has given the finger to political opponents and one can only imagine what will happen when he does that to Putin. And because Big Media has betrayed the American People, we have no idea know who he really is, who controls him and what their agenda is. Yet this is the man who will assume the vast powers of the presidency in 60 days, and will have to deal with the perfect storm. For once in his life he cannot hide.

Enter Big Media. During the primary and general election process it was clear that Big Media was in the tank for Obama. They hid the truth about him from the American People and lied repeatedly to destroy his opponents. In the process they betrayed the time honored standards of their profession and committed fraud against the American People. The only question was whether they would perpetuate that fraud into the term of his presidency. Today we got the answer from MSNBC misogynist Chris Matthews. He told Joe Scarborough that the job of a journalist employed by that network is not to report the news and analyze it objectively but rather to “make the Obama administration look good”. Emile Zola he is not. That statement is clear, cogent and convincing proof that Big Media will perpetuate the Big Lie. Also, we have seen Big Media tear into the lives of ordinary citizens like Joe The Plummer when they express views critical of Obama. If crisis comes, they will be part of the problem–sure as the earth turns.

  155. I addressed my info blurb re Robert Reich to Idunn.

It was really a response for djia.

    (are you shoveled out yet?)

  156. here is the intro. there is a third prophesy and a surival plan.

I have told my Native American friend that some of Hillary’s most passionate supporters have lost faith in their leader because she did not pursue her own nomination to the Convention as she promised, campaigned for the man who stole the election from her and played a pivotal role in getting this much flawed man elected. My friend has heard this from other people as well. It makes her sad because she is a Hillary supporter and believes they are not thinking this through. She told me three (3) prophesies from the oral tradition of her people to enlighten my thinking. They cleared the air like a warm rain shower. Perhaps you will find some comfort in them too.

Like the Native American tribe we at Hillaryis44 are a community. We are defined by proximity (internet connected), values and mutual support. Admin is the truth-giver and has provided us a place where we can share the truth and repudiate the serial lies of Big Media. We come here to half our burdens, double our joys and share. We aim to be supportive of each other or critical in a constructive ways. We believe in diverse opinion and are interested in opposing opinions. We are tolerant of whining–we all do it at times. The only thing we cannot accept is defeatism, because that means the hard left wins.

  157. wbboei,

These prohecies sound similar to Hopi myths. I’ll see if i can find the site.

I loved the Native American prophesies, as I have Native American heritage. The Cherokee Nation’s leaders were the women. I can hear it now, ‘Cherokee Nation – Cherokee Tribe – so proud to live…they took away our native tongue and taught their English to our sons.’

  159. I haven’t watched the messiah and his appointments much on TV, but I have heard the ultimate gansta Rahm Emmanuel is his chief of staff. I wonder how Bambi is faring with all those promises he gave all that helped him cheat Hillary out of the nomination???
I hope everyone on is dealing with the 24/7 lovefeast of our first black president! I wish he were a true black president representing those who think he is going to actually give a damn about him!!

  160. confloyd,

The way 70% of AA’s threw our LGBT friends under the bus is a disgrace. After their overwhelming display of INTOLERANCE why should they be the only group who is entitled to special treatment? Now, with BO in office, there should be a total dismantling of the affirmative action structure. There’s no longer ANY need for it.

  161. My new boyfriend is Dick Morris. He said that Rahm Emmanuel is only for Rahm Emmanuel. Is this the pot calling the kettle black, or it takes one to know one? But, I’d bet it is true. Look for some beheadings before the end of the term.

  162. Good evening friends: Emjay JanH wobboei especialy at this time.
You and many others have welcomed me to the circle of very devoted and patriotic American Citizens that care for the past present and future of this great country. You all have given me a very generous gift of encouraging me to get up every day get my daily house maintenance tasks completed and during the more frequent battery charges I manage to unload my brain thru this wonderful means of being informed and being a part of history My wonderful Dell Windows XP It came along late in my life but it keeps me well informed energized and healthy and I might add a mile ahead of the greedy prepaid burial plot and extended warranty salesmen that swamp me with the deals of a lifetime BHO keeps proclaiming that this is his time.Well BO be my guest you go first.I want to be around when they the people cancel your Oval Office lease and an escort to the Highway.

By ABM90 I have followed the career of Hillary sinc the watergate era and there is no finer candidate and many countries would love to have her as their leader. She has paid her dues and suffered the abuse of the good old boys and she still stands strong and ready. Obama stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

  163. The posters at

one day i would like to get back to it, one of my sisters is still involved alot with it, she goes out to bear butte here in south dakota every year to do what ever it is she does besides smoke her piece pipe [ yes i am totally serious, her ex was the chief’s son in red wing Mn] she’s a bit of a eccentric; but very very smart……she is a full time grant writer and a part time massage? therapist? it has something to do with Tibetan healing methods…

at any rate…..just thought i’d share that LOL!

Should have saved the one I just submitted, cause it is in cyberspace now, never to be found.

    Here goes—

Wish I knew your sister…except for the peace pipe smoking part, my quickly aging body could use some Bear Butte massage, peppered with some Tibetan healing.

Reason I invited you back home to Iowa is because we heard here you had four ! feet of the white stuff in the Black Hills, on the interstate and in Vermillion.

Don’t forget Ms. Photog, I know who you are and what your talents are (besides bartending and enlisting customers to the right side 😀 .

    Dear Emjay,

At the end of this long campaign, I am writing to congratulate and thank you for your steadfast work on behalf of our country. All of us are probably not pleased with the outcome of the election, but we all accept it and will do our individual part to continue to serve the best interest of this nation we love.

Before we all go back to our day jobs, I am contacting you once again for your help. My personal journey in this campaign has made me painfully aware of two deeply disturbing realities of our political process; namely, partisanship and sexism. These two are not related but both are rampant in our politics and seriously interfere with the progress of our society. I have seen how fundamental principles have been abandoned by our leaders and the media in favor of partisan power and irrational bias. As a result, both of these lethal trends are getting stronger in our body politic My interest in both the partisanship and sexism in the 2008 Presidential election leads me to ponder if there is a role for this site in helping to resolve either issue.

Perhaps you have completely tired of politics by this point and need a rest. I certainly understand that position. But, in the event that you are energized by what you have experienced, I am using this site to ask you to send me your thoughts on whether we can – or should – try to promote change in our national partisanship and/or rampant sexism. I am particularly interested in knowing your thoughts on how we might address these issues through:

    * this website
    * existing organizations or websites
    * existing articles, presentations or reports (please send them or a link to them)
    * interesting individuals from either party who may participate
    * any other thoughts and strategies

Please send me your comments by going to and post your ideas in the Comments section. That way they can be viewed by many people and commented on by others.

And, if you would like to personally be involved in any way in an effort to forge a solution to the corrosive affect of party politics and gender bias, please email me directly at

Once again, I want to thank you for everything you did in this election and I am very pleased that in some way our paths have crossed at this time. I trust we will have the opportunity to do some good together in the future……together4us.

    I wish you well.

    Sincerely yours,
    Lynn Forester de Rothschild
