Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama said Saturday he didn’t know his aunt was living in the United States illegally and believes that laws covering the situation should be followed.
The Associated Press found that Obama’s aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya. The woman, Zeituni Onyango (zay-TUHN on-YANG-oh), is living in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama’s late father.
A statement given to the AP by Obama’s campaign said, “Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed.”
UPDATE: Auntie Onyango was silenced by the Obama Campaign until after the election.
This is what Auntie Onyango told the Times Online who broke the story that she was living in a Boston slum:

She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”
That’s interesting.
Auntie Onyango was told not to speak until after the election.
Who might have told her that?
The Obama campaign declined to comment or acknowledge Obama and Onyango’s relationship two days ago.
No wonder.

Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL)

Far Left Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL) and Barack Obama Florida campaign chairman has allegedly filed 25 amended FEC reports in the days immediately following Bill O’Reilly busting him in front of his Maryland home on camera.

Robert Wexler’s Republican opponent Edward Lynch has a compelling argument that there is much more to this story that needs to be revealed. Wexler’s campaign allegedly submitted 25 amended FEC reports between 7/23/08 (one day after O’Reilly busted him) and 7/30/08.
National Review reported the news this morning:

According to a website set up by Lynch’s campaign, Wexler is in engaged in campaign-finance schemes that might amount to money laundering. Lynch even claims that the FBI is investigating. A spokesman for the FBI’s Miami field office told National Review Online they had “no comment.”

Ben Graber, an independent Democrat running a serious candidacy against Wexler and Lynch, has filed his own criminal complaint seeking an investigation.

Lynch’s accusations are as follows. Beginning July 23 — the day after Fox broke the news about the Democratic candidate’s questionable residency — and ending July 30, the Wexler campaign amended 25 Federal Election Commission reports going back to 2001. The amendments removed references to “Newbridge Securities” as a corporation from which the campaign had received funds, replacing Newbridge with a variety of different companies.

Several of the new companies, such as Capital Gains Consultants, Inc., were not in business at the time Wexler’s amended FEC report claims the funds were paid, according to documents Lynch provides. On July 25, in the midst of the Wexler campaign’s revisions to its old filings, Newbridge Securities and its owners were brought up on charges by the Securities and Exchange Comission for securities violations.

…Wexler’s campaign told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that accusations the campaign may be connected to securities fraud are “completely silly and downright libelous.”

There’s no proof of wrongdoing. But in the space of a week in July, Wexler was exposed as fudging details on his residency status; his campaign amended F.E.C. filings to remove references to Newbridge; two days after beginning to amend the reports, the SEC announced it was investigating Newbridge; and shortly thereafter the campaign backed out of a relatively sizable investment overseen by the brother of Newbridge’s president…

The story has yet to gain much traction or prompt further investigation. Lynch has a theory on why the major press organ in Wexler’s district, the Palm Beach Post, hasn’t aggressively pursued the story. When Lynch delivered the story about Wexler’s suspect residency to Fox News, Bill O’Reilly went after the Post and its editor, Randy Schultz, accusing them of pro-Wexler bias.

Even putting aside allegations of money laundering, the residency issues are a serious matter that has yet to be resolved. It’s likely that law enforcement will not investigate the matter in earnest until November 5, to avoid the appearance of interfering with the election. So the question is, will Democratic leaders of the “most ethical congress ever” take proactive measures to address the gathering clouds of scandal around Wexler before it’s too late?

(HONOLULU)(November 1, 2008) Internet powerhouse Andy Martin has ignited a firestorm in Hawai’i over Barack Obama’s bogus “original” birth certificate. Martin won a stunning victory Friday afternoon (October 31st) when the State of Hawai’i backed his assertion that there was an original, “typewritten, 1961″ birth certificate, called a “Certificate of Live Birth” or “COLB” in Hawai’i, that no one has previously seen. Hawai’i officials retrieved and examined the document after Martin filed a lawsuit seeking access to the historic 1961 original.

Obama has falsely claimed to have placed the “original” on the Internet. Factcheck.org has falsely claimed to have seen this document and posted it on the Internet; that is not true. CNN has falsely ridiculed Martin.

Hawai’i officials have now refuted Obama’s false assertion.

Martin’s victory in Honolulu will roil the final weekend of the presidential campaign. Internet chatter is expected to explode as the issue moves to the front page over Saturday and Sunday. Swing voters may be swayed by the exposure that Obama has brazenly been lying to the American people. “We just lobbed a grenade into the final weekend of the presidential campaign,” says Andy.

“I am ecstatic. I called Obama a liar. I called Factcheck.org ‘ObamaLies.org.’ I said CNN was sloppy and lazy and wrong. And I was right. The State of Hawai’i has now backed me up. Whew. I knew I was right, but I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that I have started to get the machinery moving in state government. The original document is now obviously protected and safe from any tampering by Obama.

“My lawsuit started a firestorm in Hawai’i. The circuit judge has set a hearing for November 18th (a report in the Honolulu Advertiser for November 1st for an earlier hearing date of November 7th is inaccurate; that date was cancelled).

“CNN also has egg on its face, because, once again, Hawai’i backs my contention that the original document has never surfaced in public. CNN tried to demean me by contradicting my accurate claim.

“Now Obama, Factcheck.org and CNN have been exposed as liars. I said there was a ’secret,’ original, typewritten birth certificate that had never been disclosed, and that document was the original COLB, not the phony ‘original’ that CNN placed before its viewers.

I sued in the proper state in the proper court against the proper officials for the proper remedy. And they are responding properly. “I merely sought access to a document based on its scholarly and news value and because I had been tipped by my sources inside state government that Obama was lying. In a Honolulu news conference on October 22nd Martin disclosed that Frank Marshall Davis was the biological father of Barack Obama, not Barack Obama senior. The Obama campaign has not denied Martin’s claim.

Martin lands in Chicago at noon, and will proceed to his office, for an afternoon news conference.

“I assume a Democrat wrote it.”

Bad News from the Keystone State

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is something that I want all of my blue state friends to know before it’s too late, and I’m not sure who else is going to tell you.

I know, conventional wisdom says that the Democrats have the state in the bag. But turn off CNN, stop basking in the warmth generated by SNL, the Daily Show and Colbert Report and take five minutes to check this out.

Remember how all the kings horse and all the kings men–and reverend wright, and foreign–couldnt put bambi together again once he hit the primary states. So the dnc had to cheat in order to steal the nomination from Hillary. That is what we need to watch like a hawk. Litigation is likely to follow.

I wonder whether Conyers has finished his draft of the slavery reparatations bill he is reportedly working on for Obama? If that goes through there could well be a taxpayers revolt by people whose families came here after 1865. I could be wrong but hear me out.

The key to this tax system has been major corporations. They have accounting systems which dutifully record the monies paid and do the witholding. But with the demise of large corporations taxes will be more of an honors system regardless of what the law says. If one individual refuses to pay a tax the IRS can and generally does go after them–which is fine and well. I do not believe in free riders.

But I can also understand the mindset which arises in a time of austerity when a President who cheated his way into office signs a tax bill orchestrated by his cronies in Congress, which the public at large deems wrong. Taxation without representation does not end well for the party who practices it, as evidenced by the Boston Tea Party.

In that case, the IRS can prosecute a few, but that will not cause others to fall in line where as here they need the money themelves and do not agree with the premise. I would pay myself for other reasons but I can fully understand the convictions of the millions who would not. You saw the same thing with the Mooshiners.

This is one of a thousand reasons why I keep harping on this subject of a mandate. If Obama and his media cronies manage to cheat their way into the White House, they will have no mandate from the people and in that case his troubles have only just begun.

You can bamboozle some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time for four years. As the French say: it is impossible.
