Joe Biden Warns America Against Barack Obama

Joe Biden committed the crime of truth yesterday. Joe Biden (not Joe – The Plumber), yes Joe Biden unwittingly said what we have been saying for a long time.

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

Yesterday Joe Biden warned Obama’s strongest supporters to prepare themselves for a stab in the back by Barack.

Joe – The Banker’s Biden, warned Barack Obama donors that Obama as president would make decisions that would test their loyalty to Obama. Obama decisions, according to Biden, would possibly be “unpopular” and Obama would require the donors to stick by Obama and possibly come to his rescue.

Joe Biden is already predicting disaster:

ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

Will Obama attack Pakistan? Will Obama do something so foolish in the Middle East the whole region will blow up? Will Obama capitulate to Russia or will Obama goad Russia? The question is no longer would Obama mean disaster. The question according to Joe Biden is which Obama disaster?

Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Already Joe Biden is aware that Obama will be another disaster like George W. Bush. Joe Biden believes the disaster will be singular. But suppose the disaster is the Middle East AND Russia AND North Korea AND China. Whatever the disaster or disasters Joe Biden is channeling George W. Bush by calling for loyalty to Obama. According to Joe Biden it’s not gonna be apparent initially that Obama is right. But like with George W. Bush, loyalty of the Secretary of State Colin Powell variety will be required.

Domestically, Obama will be a mess too.

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

Those donors had better watch out. They have just been warned their pockets will be picked clean.

Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama cannot be trusted by friend nor foe. Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama will be an unpopular disaster like George W. Bush. Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama will make decisions Americans will not like:

“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

Obama/Biden are already declaring war – on the American people. It won’t matter if the American people disagree with the Obama decisions. Obama is the third Bush term.

Yes, Obama might attack Pakistan and Obama might have a nuclear war problem:

Biden emphasized that the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with Osama bin Laden “alive and well” and Pakistan “bristling with nuclear weapons.”

“You literally can see what these kids are up against, our kids in that region,” Biden said in recalling when his helicopter was forced down due to a snowstorm there. “The place is crawling with al Qaeda. And it’s real.”

We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes,” he cautioned. “It’s so much more important than that. It’s so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it.”

After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.

It does not inspire confidence in the ability of Obama/Biden to handle future disasters competently when Biden immediately realized how foolish he was in saying what he said.

“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here,” he joked.

Joe Biden just warned America against the disaster(s) which is Barack Obama.

  1. I would not be surprised with Arnie, he’s a Kennedy, purposely avoided the convention this year, i knew that was the reason why was pressure from Maria and Teddy and he’ll be booted soon in Cal.

  2. Admin,

Voters need to wake up to the fact that an Obama/Biden White House could ignite another world war. The two of them scare the daylights out of me.

  3. moon: Arnie’s term is up. He cannot run again; Term limits. Maybe, he wants to be part of an BO administration. He has not been able to do anything with the CA dimocratic legislature. Gridlock, the entire time.

    Admin: Great article.

This is the key sentence for a foolish man’s insane ranting but he is foolish for letting out the truth in his insane ranting.

Admin, thank you for highlighting quickly this very disturbing soliloquy (yes, that is what it is, I don’t think Biden wanted to say all that out loud to any audience.)

  5. he makes a great point, we’re going to be attacked after the election, so you better make sure you pick the right guy, except its the guy on the opposite team.

The guy is a total fuckwit.

  6. pm

OR perhaps Biden did want to let this out???

Perhaps he is in a position much like hillary and is doing his level best to let Americans know
exactly what’s what in the form of a “gaffe”????

  7. I was just searching for this outburst of truth by Biden. And, as dija said in the last thread, this is a great GIFT to McCain, all wrapped up and tied with ribbons of blue. From: Joe Biden To: John McCain.

And, to think we could have had Hillary instead of the thief of the DNC, nObama and his loose cannon sidekick, Joe ‘Six Shooter’ Biden….oops Joe ‘Loose Cannon’ Biden. Is he insane or what to let this out of his mouth, even if it is truth?

  8. Admin…….Thanks for highlighting this story !!

it needs to flood the blogasphere!!

and our conversations amongst those we know in our family and neighborhoods

  9. djia, I thought that too. We will never know. If he thought it was a good argument for electing Obama, why would he worry that the press was there? It is more of a Biden’s gaffe, saying too much at the wrong place and the wrong time. But this is quite serious given its import.

  10. Again, the idea of having Sarah Palin on tv opposite nObama’s 30 minute infomerical is a stupendous idea, even if just for the first 15 minutes. Spread the word to anyone who can make it happen.

  11. djia not dija, sorry. No, I am not dyslexic, just blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other one, and no eye-hand coordination.

  13. Rush was all over Biden’s statement on his radio show today. He had Rudy on and both were saying vote for Obama and face a guaranteed attack or vote for McCain and remain safe.

  14. short termer

I believe you are correct about combating the 30 min obamainfomercial with sara palin

so i emailed hannity, greta & rush with your idea and asked them to either interview her
or get word to who ever could get her on tv and make it happen

  15. Thanks djia, you and all His44 posters are awesome, as well as Admin, whoever you are.
    Make it happen His44 posters.

  16. LOL…djia and short termer,

If not Palin, then get them to interview “say it aint so” Joe Biden. I’m sure he can put his foot in his mouth a few more times and help out the opposition! 😉

  17. This is a funny comment from a poster at the abcnews site — in fact, I did not detect many bots there. Even Biden knows that Obama will fall flat on his face. Before he accepted the running mate offer he used to say so. He’s already doing damage control in case they win and inevitably do a terrible job. He’s basically saying he knows they will do a terrible job so please vote for them again in 4 years regardless of their record.

  18. SurveyUSA has a new VA poll out today, and it’s tightening there. Two weeks ago, Gutter Ball was +10; today +6. However, they are still undersampling Repubs by 5% and oversampling Dems by 4%, so McCain is ahead there. Rasmussen has Gutter Ball +10 in VA this morning, but they never reveal their sampling demos (surprise!).

Internals must have McCain ahead in VA, because the campaign hasn’t been there the beginning of last week, and have made stop after stop after stop in PA.

Camp McCain jumps all over Biden remark
    by Mosheh Oinounou

ST. CHARLES, MO — Joe Biden may have handed Camp McCain a lifeline today by telling donors in recent days that Barack Obama will likely face a major international crisis during his first six months in office.

“Joe the Biden said a couple days ago that within the first six months, Barack Obama would be tested as president. Let me tell you, in his entire life, John McCain has passed every test given to him,” Sen. Lindsey Graham said during his introduction of McCain today at a rally outside St. Louis today.

The remarks by Graham began a day-long effort by the McCain campaign to use the remarks to make the experience argument against Obama.

Rudy Giuliani will be hosting a campaign conference call on the remarks this afternoon and McCain is also set to chime in on the issue at his late afternoon rally in Belton, MO.

According to excerpts released by the campaign, McCain will say:

“Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President. We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars.

What is more troubling is that Senator Biden told their campaign donors that when that crisis hits, they would have to stand with them because it wouldn’t be apparent Senator Obama would have the right response.

Forget apparent. Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign. He opposed the surge strategy that is bringing us victory in Iraq and will bring us victory in Afghanistan. He said he would sit down unconditionally with the world’s worst dictators. When Russia invaded Georgia, Sen. Obama said the invaded country should show restraint.”

  21. I would like Senator Biden to tell all Americans just what terrible mistake Obama is going to make/may have already made that will cause a huge crisis within 6 months of his corrupt presidency. What has obama been doing behind the scenes? What promises has he made to volatile groups that will cause a chaos of huge proportions? How much is all this money that is coming in going to cost him and the country he wants to take over?

  22. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why all these polls oversample Dems..how is that fair to the other side? CNN comes out with their biased poll on Debate night with Dems outnumbering Republicans..how does that work?

The old story comes to mind of a stranger finding a kid sitting on a curb in Chicago crying his eyes out. My daddy died three years ago and I hear he came back to life to vote and he didn’t even bother to say ‘hi’ to me,” said the boy.

Didn’t Stinky already push thru legislation to send $800 billion to Africa as poverty aid?

Anyone know what happened to that bill?

I always thought it was curious, as I vaguely remember from high school civics that legislation having to do with $$ had to be initiated in the House.

  27. Emjay,

I wasn’t sure if it actually went through in the end? Either way, I don’t think that will be the last of it. 😉

  28. I just occurred to me that the Media completely ignores Biden’s faults (near fatal stroke, gaffe machine, hot-headed, erratic at times) but it’s sure quick to jump all over Palin. I mean, how is Biden more qualified than Palin when he makes foolish, idiotic, unguarded comments like these. Sure there is some truth to his statement because we know Obama will pee his pants at the same sign of trouble, but where is his common sense? God help us if this fool and that other fool get in!

  29. Just as we have laws governing measuring in other areas (gas stations, etc), there should be laws governing polls. Otherwise, you are open to false measurement. This should be a crime.

  30. Amen Admin: hope + change = revolution

When Biden says: we’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

Dear Joe: dont worry about me. I wont let you down in terms of support. You canno lose what you never ever had. I know Bwaaak had told one or two fibs along the way. His supporters do not know that. They are the ones you need to worry about. They were the ones he deceived.

But as long as you are singing now like a canary, please tell us exactly what you are talking about. Do you intend to tax us to oblivion? Do you intend to introduce police state methods? What exactly is it that he is planning to do if he gets elected that would cause him to lose support. It must be something big. Just whisper in our ear.

I do feel greatly relieved that Powell will be part of your team. He tells us he had serious doubts about the veracity of the WMD information at the time he presented it but presented it as fact because he felt an obligation to the president. Evidently that obligation exceeded the obligation to his country. I feel much better now.

  31. birdgal,

I respectfully disagree. If that is the case, then any Republican candidate is at a disadvantage from the start. Just look at Gallup for example. They oversample Dems, thus giving Obama a 9-10 lead when they should have him up maybe just 3-4 points. Even CNN has McCain only down by 5% and Ras has him down only by 4%!!

  32. Biden’s warnings:

You gotta hand it to Joe B. Maybe it was not a “gaffe”. If Obama loses, Biden would be a front runner in 2012. As veep candidate, he would certainly be the only real challenger to Hillary, given that Obama would have been ostracized following his defeat in Nov. 2008 during a sure-thing Dem year.

The only thing Biden and Clinton would have to worry about is some first term congressman whom nobody ever heard about who gets a celebrity endorsement and then… oooh, shoot, you know how that little fairy tale goes. And it doesn’t have a happy ending.

  33. wbboei,

) Joe the Plumber “”McCAIN’s MESSAGE ‘today, tomorrow and every day forward,’ per a senior aide: ‘On background, we’ll be talking about Joe.'” [Politco, 10/20/08]

    2) Joe The Plumber is Getting Too Much Publicity: “Joe didn’t ask for Senator Obama to come to his house. And, certainly, Joe didn’t ask to be famous.” [McCain Campaign Rally, 10/20/08]

    3) Sounds like Socialism: “At this morning’s rally, the first of three today in this toss-up state, [Palin] continued to call Barack Obama’s tax plan socialist again couching it behind Joe the Plumber, “Barack Obama calls it spreading the wealth. Joe Biden calls higher taxes patriotic. Joe the Plumber said it sounded to him like socialism. And now is not the time to experiment with that.” [FoxNews.com, 10/20/08]

    4) ACORN is Threatening the Fabric of Democracy: The RNC has advised three different conference calls today on ACORN. [RNC Media Advisories]

    5) A Foreign Policy Crisis Will Test A President: John McCain: “The next President won’t have time to get used to the office. We face many challenges here at home, and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world. Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President. We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two wars.” [Excerpted Remarks for a McCain Campaign Rally, 10/20/08]

    6) Blame the Press: Top McCain Aide Mark Salter: “There has been a different standard for Obama than there has been for any candidate running against Barack Obama. And maybe this should have set off more warning bells with me. I think much of the media has a thumb on the scale for Obama. I think the thumb has been there the entire time.” [The Atlantic, 10/20/08]

    7) Blame the Fundraising: Rick Davis: “There are reports that, just already disclosed, $3 or $4 million of Barack Obama’s campaign funds just prior to the $150 million fundraising month were not appropriate. Now, I’d love to have that $4 million right now to put into Pennsylvania. It’d be a good thing for our campaign. I think it’s a game-changer if I can slap all of that right on Philadelphia media market. It’s an expensive place. And, yet, Barack Obama gets away with raising illegitimate money and spending it.” [10/20/08]

    8) Divided Government: John McCain: “He’s measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, and concede defeat in Iraq.” [McCain Campaign Rally, 10/20/08]

    9) Obama’s Baseball Loyalty: RNC Press Release: “After repeatedly saying he would root for the Phillies in the World Series, Barack Obama switched teams while campaigning in Tampa today.” [10/20/08]

    10) That Washed Up Old Terrorist: Rick Davis: “John McCain tried to point out how people should be informed about Barack Obama’s background, including his relationships with domestic terrorists like William Ayers. People are going to form these judgments. It’s great fodder for us to debate every day. I think it’s fun.” [MSNBC, 10/20/08]

  39. Hi Admin and all – I have to run in and out and I have read the first part of the post –

the first thing that comes to mind with Biden’s telegraphing disaster is as a “SET UP” for an event they “plan” in advance, to perhaps instill MORE FISA, or maybe constitutional changes, or somethijng even worse.

I don’t know, but I see this as a “tell” and a warning to watch OBAMA THE GREAT respond – in ways he was never elected to do – or, that the Constitution allows.

It will be UNPOPULAR BUT STICK WITH HIM.

    Joe, your slip is showing….

    more later

  40. Powell’s endorsement of Obama reminds me of when Judas stabbed Hillary in the back and did the same thing. Obama lawyer wants Justice to investigate ACORN leak
Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor
    October 20, 2008 03:03 PM

The chief lawyer for Barack Obama’s campaign urged Attorney General Michael Mukasey today to have the Justice Department’s inspector general investigate whether Bush administration officials are coordinating with Republican John McCain’s campaign over voter registration fraud allegations.

The lawyer, Robert Bauer, also asked Mukasey to “personally take steps” to make sure the department “is not misused for partisan purposes.”

At issue is a leak last week that the FBI has joined several states in looking into ACORN, a community activist group that claims to have registered 1.3 million new voters. Some voter registration cards, however, were submitted with names of dead people or fictitious characters.

Bauer asked Mukasey on Friday to expand a special prosecutor’s purview to include the ACORN matter. The prosecutor is investigating whether partisan politics influenced the firings of nine US attorneys, including at least one dismissed after Republican complaints he didn’t aggressively pursue complaints against ACORN.

In the letter to Mukasey today, Bauer said that isn’t enough because the prosecutor doesn’t have jurisdiction over violations of department policy.

  43. Joe – The Plumber and Joe Biden have given McCain major help lately. Maybe Schwarzenegger will help in Ohio.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/1008/Arnold_to_stump_for_McCain_in_Ohio_.html?showall

There are fewer larger stars in the GOP galaxy than Arnold Schwarezenegger.

But so far the Governator has done little for John McCain in the general election. Schwarzenegger fought with the state legislature for months over the budget, skipping the Republican convention in the process, and has not hit the trail for the man he endorsed at a crucial moment in the GOP primary.

    That’s about to change.

Schwarzenegger, aides say, will join McCain in Columbus, Ohio, on Halloween to rally voters.

Columbus, as close Arnold-watchers know, is home to the annual Arnold Classic International Fitness Weekend, a major event in the body-building world each spring.

  44. rjk1957,

What I would love to happen is that, while the media would immediately give Obama the win on election night if it was 5% or more…I want it to be a blow-out for McCain from the get go…lol… So much easier on the nerves and so well-deserved for McCain.

I want to see the DNC, Obama, his wife, and the bots crying in their beers and sucking up the misery big time! 😉

  45. JanH, it could not happen to nicer [I mean more deserved] people. 47. When Biden alludes to the Cuban Missile Crisis it makes me think about what this may be about. If I were going to take a wild guess then this may be Iran. It could be that they have credible information that Iran has now acquired a nuclear weapon, and that Israel, Britian and the United States plan to take preemptive action. If they do then that would be likely to provoke a response from Russia who is already smarting over our support for the Georgian leader. This could put the United States on a war footing, which would lose our civil liberties. A naive, inexperenced community organizer like Bambi could be led too easily down the primrose path to the war predicted in the New Economist in 2010. A leader like McCain who understands the cost of war would be able to resist such pressures unless they were verified and reverified and all other avenues were exhausted. Part of the effort here is to preserve an American Empire which we no longer have the financial resources to support.
Bear in mind, this is pure guesswork, but I do not see this as an excursion into Pakistan here.

  49. Rick Davis: Campaign Rethinking Playing The Rev. Wright Card
    posted at huffpo

John McCain’s campaign manager says he is reconsidering using Barack Obama’s relationship with Reverend Jeremiah Wright as a campaign issue during the election’s closing weeks.

In an appearance on conservative Hugh Hewitt’s radio program, Davis said that circumstances had changed since John McCain initially and unilaterally took Obama’s former pastor off the table. The Arizona Republican, Davis argued, had been jilted by the remarks of Rep. John Lewis, who compared recent GOP crowds to segregationist George Wallace’s rallies. And, as such, the campaign was going to “rethink” what was in and out of political bounds.

“Look, John McCain has told us a long time ago before this campaign ever got started, back in May, I think, that from his perspective, he was not going to have his campaign actively involved in using Jeremiah Wright as a wedge in this campaign,” he said late last week. “Now since then, I must say, when Congressman Lewis calls John McCain and Sarah Palin and his entire group of supporters, fifty million people strong around this country, that we’re all racists and we should be compared to George Wallace and the kind of horrible segregation and evil and horrible politics that was played at that time, you know, that you’ve got to rethink all these things. And so I think we’re in the process of looking at how we’re going to close this campaign. We’ve got 19 days, and we’re taking serious all these issues.”

  50. What the F**K is wrong with the media? How come the F**n media is not broadcasting this issue?

How much did this con artist pay the media? I am F***N mad, angry…… This is B***h*st….

    WAKE UP AMERICANS……..

  51. Very interesting blog thread and comments! I will ask my hillaryvillagers friends to stop by your site!
And, Normita from hillaryvillagers asked me to post the following article for all of you:

Subject: How Women got the right to vote:

A piece of history we need to remember, or perhaps become aware
of, told in a brief and moving way.

This is the story of women only 90 years ago.

It was not until 1920 that women were granted the right to go to the
    polls and vote.

The women who made it so were innocent and defenseless. And by the
end of the night, they were barely alive.

Forty prison guards wielding clubs and their warden’s blessing went
on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted of ‘obstructing
    sidewalk traffic.

They beat Lucy Burn, chained her hands to the cell bars above her
head and left her hanging for the night, bleeding and gasping for air.
They hurled Dora Lewis into a dark cell, smashed her head against an iron bed
    and knocked her out cold.
Her cellmate, Alice Cosu, thought Lewis was dead and suffered a heart attack.
Additional affidavits describe the guards grabbing, dragging,
beating, choking, slamming, pinching, twisting and Kicking the women.

Thus unfolded the ‘Night of Terror’ on Nov. 15, 1917, when the
warden at the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia ordered his guards to teach a
lesson to the suffragists imprisoned there because they dared to picket
Woodrow Wilson’s White House for the right to vote.

For weeks, the women’s only water came from an open pail. Their
food–all of it colorless slop–was infested with worms. When one of the
leaders, Alice Paul, embarked on a hunger strike, they tied her to a
chair, forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she
vomited. She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the
    press.

Some women won’t vote this year because–why exactly?
We have carpool duties? We have to get to work? Our vote doesn’t
    matter? It’s raining?

Last week, there was a sparsely attended screening of HBO ‘s new
movie ‘Iron Jawed Angels.’ It is a graphic depiction of the battle these
women waged so that women could pull the curtain at the polling booth
and have their say. We need the reminder. The actual act of voting has
become less personal for us, more rote.
Frankly, voting often felt more like an obligation than a privilege.
    Sometimes it was inconvenient.

HBO released the movie on video and DVD. All history, social
studies and government teachers should include the movie in their curriculum.
It should be shown anywhere women gather. This isn’t our usual idea
of socializing, but we are not voting in the numbers that we should be.
A little shock therapy is in order.

It is jarring to watch Woodrow Wilson and his cronies try to
persuade a Psychiatrist to declare Alice Paul insane so that she could
be permanently institutionalized. And it is inspiring to watch the doctor
refuse. Alice Paul was strong, he said, and brave. That didn’t make her crazy.
The doctor admonished the men: ‘Courage in women is often
    mistaken for insanity.

Please,, pass this on to all the women you know.

We need to get out and vote and use this right that was fought so
hard for by these very courageous women. Whether you vote democratic,
republican or independent party – remember to vote. History is being
    made.

  52. One saturday morning, Biden the Banker wanted to go to the local Home Depot to use his new credit card from his backers (Senator Credit Card) and try to be like Joe the plumber…but on that saturday, he was so hungry that he never made it to home depot…you see he was looking for that restuarant that is no longer there…

    Poor Joe!

He did not make it to the home depot nor to that restaurant..

    What is one to do!!!

  53. magic

unlike the BHO endorsement news that was of all things played out “over the weekend” when no one is really listening anyways
this biden gaffe comes out on a monday!! 😀 it will gain traction and speed over an ENTIRE WEEK of news!! 😀

Both Rush and Hannity on the story all day on the radio…..no doubt hannity will be talking about it tonight on tv

also he had Joe the plumber on the radio today and heard he will be on H&C tonight as well 😀

let’s just hope colmes is tied up behind the wood shed 😀 LOL

  54. wbboei, there may be something to what you say. With Obama the pattern is to do the opposite so that people are led off the scent. What could that be here? Confusing stance on Israel, trying to appear pro-Palestine? Not coming down hard against Russia about Georgia?

  55. Rassmussen has McCain up 2 in Ohio now, things must be bad for Obama there, with the weighting.

    49 to 47

  56. Obama Praised ‘Searing and Timely’ Book by Ayers
Barack Obama once gave a glowing endorsement of a book by former domestic terrorist William Ayers and was mentioned by name in the book itself.

  57. Dear Senator Biden…

Re: your running mouth, on Sunday, because you were in a place where you could not literally beat your open palms on your flabby chest and out jungle-call Carol Burnett:

Just what the financial institutions need in these precarious times….fear mongering and rumor building.

Great show Joe. Great calm, wise leadership move.

And if something happens that you become the Fool instead of being the Vice Fool….we should trust your judgement?

Give me a break and a ticket to Aggie Grey’s in Apia, Samoa.

  58. Local tv has shown Rep Bill Nelson introducing nObama and Hillary in Orlando at Amway Stadium. They said 10s of thousands of supporters are there.
nObama and Hillary came out with their arms behind each others backs then circled the stage greeting people.
I saw on another blog where true Hillary supporters are calling hdqrters and tearfully asking for a refund of their campaign contribution to Hillary as she has gone over the line in aiding and abetting nObama. Evidently refunds are possible. I would not ask for a refund, but I am physically sick every time I hear her name and nObama’s linked together and she shills for him – who stands for everything she stood against in the primary.
Local news also showed Meghan McCain as she came through with the Straight Talk Express and visited with college students at a nearby pizza parlor. She mentioned that Colin Powell did not have the effect through the media that Joe the Plumber has. Good for you, Miss McCain!!!!

  59. wbboei, there may be something to what you say. With Obama the pattern is to do the opposite so that people are led off the scent. What could that be here? Confusing stance on Israel, trying to appear pro-Palestine? Not coming down hard against Russia about Georgia

pm> that is indeed the pattern. You have connected more dots than I had. Thanks for the excellent job of thinking it through. If that is the case then someone should be talking to the Supreme Leader in Iran if he is approachable. Talking to that wack job president of Iran is about as useful as talking to Wexler.

  60. Where to start? Well, of course with thanks to Admin! “Joe Biden committed the crime of truth yesterday.” One of your most brilliant yet. And timely. Media, are you on this?

Yes, by all means, let’s elect the guy who likely will prompt an attack in the first six months, rather than the one who will keep us safe because no one dares mess with him.

  61. Is Patrick Murphy running scared in PA 8th district? Looks like Obama’s mouthpiece in racist Pennsylvania is in a tight race. He is flooding the airwaves around Philadelphia with ads. Can not find any polls, but his opponent Tom Manion has been linking him with Charlie Rangle. The PA 8th was a republican district that Murphy won by 1500 votes only because he was a Iraqi war veteran. Tom Manion is a retired Marine who lost his son in Iraq.

  62. And, did anyone see “Family Guy” last night? Stewie (the baby) went back in time to WWII and became a Nazi who looked like Hitler. They pulled in for a close-up of Stewie’s evil, knowing glance into the camera as he showed his McCain – Palin button. My husband and I immediately turned off the TV. I am truly disgusted with Seth McFarlane and all the other hot-shot know-it-all boys BO attracts.

No wonder Biden opined that Stinky will provoke an incident in his first 180 days.

  63. Powell toted the Bush party line about the war – how could he join a guy who thinks the war was a complete mistake? Or, from the opposite view, doesn’t that dilute Stinky’s position to be joined by the guy who promoted the war?

  64. Illinois Underground,

McCain should hear about that. So should the network and sponsors. There is no excuse for that kind of blatant discrimination.

I worry about this reaction. It cuts deep and will not subside quickly or easily. I feel it myself.

Politicians deal in slogans and symbols but do not always appreciate the depth of emotions they invoke along among supporters.

In this case the significance of a female president is megalpolitical. It challenges a prevailing archtype. It gave hope to millions of people.

It offered transcendence from all the slights, the cheap shots, and the stolen opportunities of a lifetime–stored in retentive memory.

    Riverdaughter said it best.

The promise of Tuesday night was retracted by Friday for good and sufficient reasons–politically speaking. But that is not the end of it.

She tried to console supporters through her suspension speech. But we all looked for signs it was just words, i.e. barking dogs.

Initially, she was a reluctant campaigner for bambi, now a determined one. Everthing he did to her and her gender is conveniently forgotten.

Except for millions of people who believed in the message and still do. They hate to see her doing his bidding. It legitimitizes the sexism.

I learned this lesson years ago. We built a coalition, pressed for legislation and then the political consensus fell through.

My first impulse was to turn away. But a smart ex Md. prosecutor saved me from myself. He told me I needed to talk supporters off the ledge.

It has been my experience that when the proper reasons are given supporters will understand. In our case we had someone legitimate we could pass the torch to whereas here she does not.

I hope people can get past this reaction. I hope she can help them through it. It is as important as her ability to mend fences in congress.

I am on her side, but cannot bear to watch her now. I will wait until after the election and see whether she regains her voice.

  66. It is very true Hillary was a reluctant campaigner for the Fraud..not s much now, she campaigns with vigor..very sad.

Posted 60 minutes ago. This has to do with muslim protestors at a McCain Rally who handed out Obama for Change (with the muslim symbols used in the word change). I could not get the video to work right. I could not really tell what was going on. Can someone on the blog look at it.

  68. When I watch Biden in action I realize Spiro Agnew wasn’t really that bad. If we could whistle him up from wherever he is now I am sure he would call Joe a nattering nabob of negativity.

Poll shows presidential race may be tightening

    Story Highlights

    * Barack Obama has five-point lead in new poll, down from eight points

    * John McCain may be having success differentiating himself from President Bush

    * Obama retains six-point advantage in CNN Poll of Polls

    * “The economy remains the number one issue,” pollster says

  70. One of the things you discover in contact sports it is easier to do it than to watch it if one of the contestants is someone you like or care about.

It is hard to watch big media, and every other cockroach east and west of the Mississippi beat up on Sara. I wonder what it is like to be Sara.

I think she is enjoying herself. I hope so.

  71. I DIDNT WANT TO TELL YOU PEOPLE THIS…
because i know how some here cant stand any dissent when discussing hillary.

    but heres the story…

the machinist union, who supported hillary clinton, and said it like it is about
obama, has taken hillary’s advice, and supports obama now.
last week, they had a big convention.
hillary was there. she got up and talked
about the need to vote for obama, like it
was a life and death situation… she roused the crowd, she talked about how
voting mccain, is a vote against working people. she said mccain is anti-labor.
she said all the things we fought for, all these years will be gone if we vote mccain. she said we have to do the right thing and vote for obama, who is going to make a good president….

the people loved her, and were drunk with hillarys words of support for obama.

everywhere i go, everyone says, why u voting mccain, hillary says not to vote for him. why are you going against your own candidate request?

people need to stop drinking the koolaid.
about hillary, shes helping obama. thats
the facts, you can double talk all you want, but the facts are the facts.

if obama wins, its because hillary turned the tide for him…

  72. I choose not to watch Senator Clinton campaigning for the Fraud. It is too painful. I hope, she regains her voice, when it is safe to do so.

  73. skmf12: Remember, you live in Obamaland. Many parts of the country share a different political view. One can become jaded amongst all the kool-aid drinkers.

  74. One thing we know about the Obama campaign from watching it this past year is that they only roll out high-profile endorsements when they sense they’re in trouble. Oftentimes, it’s worked to stop opponents’ momentum, but there is no doubt that McCain is finally starting to get traction in the polls after focusing his attacks directly on Obama’s weaknesses this past week. Sorry I haven’t been able to check this site often — I’ve been incredibly busy — but glad to see so many familiar log-ins still here!

  75. I think the yardstick of measurement for me where Hillary is concerned will not occur until after Obama loses this election. Until then she gets a pass from me. After which I will just have to see.

  76. The Illinois Democrat also seemed to question Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s credentials to be vice president, though backed off some after a follow up question from host Matt Lauer.

“Frankly, I just don’t know enough about Sarah Palin. I haven’t heard a long discussion about foreign policy,” Obama said. “Look, I’m running against McCain-Palin. Anything that I say about Governor Palin will be seen through that lens. I don’t need to add to people’s assessments.”

    – With every fiber of my being, I know that there is a major event looming either:
    A) A US government plot which will be 911-like, with Bush claiming a state of emergency thus suspending and postponing the election and self imposing his dictatorship.
    B) Another stolen election.
    C) Some other huge upset like the stock market collapse.
    D) An assassination.
    E) All of the above.
This major event will be the catalyst for our government to instate military personnel for martial law. The ball is in motion, I clearly see that riots are already expected surrounding the elections. I have predicted Martial Law being enforced in the US since 2002 now look at the PROOF that it’s coming: LINK VIDEO ORDERS

skmf: the machinists union has always gone democrat have they not? But that does not mean their members will vote democracat. I think what you are saying is true, but I do not think Hillary matters in this respect. If I am wrong then her influence is marginal.

  79. McCain should buy some tv time the same time as O and show the america the people who O is tied to Ayers, Rezko etc plus talk about where his campaign donations are coming from. And all the lies he has back tracked on.

    Associated P. ..
PARTYID goes further, noting that 49% of the respondents consider themselves Democrats, 37% Republicans, and just 14% other or Independent, a contrast to PID1 which is not explained.
Looking at the end-poll demographics, more information is revealed which helps us see the bias. 22% of respondents are identified as 18-29 in age, versus 17% in that age group’s actual voting in 2004. In this poll, 13% of the respondents did not complete High School, versus only 4% of voters in 2004 who did not complete High School. 31% of the poll respondents have a High School diploma as their highest education, versus 22% of voters in 2004 in that category. The overweight is obvious.
Whites in the poll made up 69% of the pool, versus 77% of voters in 2004. Hispanics in the pool counted for 13%, versus 7% who voted in 2004.
In the poll, 84% of respondents live in urban areas, versus 30% of actual voters in 2004.
In the poll, a staggering 41% of respondents do not have a job.
And finally, 58% of respondents to the poll make $50,000 a year or less, versus 45% of the actual voters in 2004.
This poll is biased in six distinctly invalid ways relative to known demographics, and even then the AP/Yahoo poll admits the race is close, though they do everything they can to hide that conclusion in the press release.

    Dear MoveOn member,

We’re hearing a lot about the trumped-up charges against ACORN these days—but very little about the massive voter suppression campaign being orchestrated by the Republicans. The GOP is trying to purge thousands of Democratic voters off the rolls in states like Ohio, Florida, and Colorado.1

John McCain and Sarah Palin are falsely accusing a community organizing group—ACORN—of voting fraud to distract the media from their own party’s wrongdoing.2 Worst of all: It’s working.

The truth is, McCain is vilifying ACORN to justify voter suppression—making it harder for Obama supporters to vote.

The GOP’s voter suppression campaign could steal this election. But we can stop them with a rapid-response fund to support legal actions, run newspaper ads to get the media talking about GOP voter suppression, and prosecute anyone who tries to steal this election.

Can you chip in $25 to kick off our No Stolen Elections fund?
    pol.moveon.org/donate/suppression.html?id=14418-1277844-ddkke0x&t=3

The simple act of raising funds to protect this election will send a warning to right-wing operatives who think they can get away with voter suppression.
For over twenty-five years, Republicans have promoted the myth of voting fraud to argue for restrictive voting laws—but Bush’s own Justice Department found virtually no organized voting fraud.3 Now McCain is attacking ACORN in order to justify a frenzy of lawsuits making it harder for Obama supporters to vote.

Here’s what he’s not telling you:

    * The only fraud committed was against ACORN itself. ACORN hired 13,000 workers to register a remarkable 1.3 million new voters. And a few of them turned in registration forms with inaccurate and even made-up names to get credit for work they didn’t do. ACORN fired them and turned them over to the authorities.4

    * ACORN reported the fraudulent registration forms. In most states, ACORN is required by law to submit all forms collected whether they appear to be bogus or not—that way election officials, not partisan groups, can make the call. ACORN flags cards that may not be legitimate. And in many places, the charges of fraud only came up because ACORN was the one who flagged the cards!5

    * This won’t have any impact on the election. No one is allowed to vote unless they are properly registered. And there is no evidence of false registrations actually leading to organized voting fraud.6

We can’t let false charges of voting fraud distract us from the very real voter suppression campaign that is already well under way.

Republicans are looking for typos on voter registration forms, threatening to challenge homeowners facing foreclosure, and falsely warning that voters with outstanding traffic tickets may be arrested if they go to the polls.7

Help protect this election from Republican voter suppression. Click here to contribute $25 to our No Stolen Elections fund:

More crap from THE ENEMY, people I trusted a year ago, before they became Obamapods.

For you “older” people who remember Sat. Nite Live back in 1980, “Pods” was the Reagan skit where suddenly people at parties started saying “yeah, smaller govt, lower taxes…

The Pods of the 2008 cycle are “W. Bad, McCain = W, QED McCain Bad.”

Mmmmm, fuck off. I suppose Palin is a retarded whore, McCain is senile, and Obama is the Answer to All Things, but if that fails, he can reach out to the Experienced Gaffe King Joe Biden… or fat cat contributors from various countries

    &&&&&&&&

Can you chip in $25 to kick off our No Stolen Elections fund?
    https://pol.moveon.org/donate/suppression.html?id=14418-1277844-ddkke0x&t=3

    BREAKING on fox!

BO to take a few days off the campaign trail to fly back to Hawaii to tend to his sick granny???????

    WTF????????
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    Sinking poll lead. Desperation ploy???

If JM did this, MSM would be vomiting in technicolor.

He’s probably there to forge his birth certificate, or have those who won’t comply executed. After all, it is for the “good” of the country. Everything can be rationalized when you are on hopium.

  97. If he is taking a “few days” to go to Hawaii, this must be a fairly strong indicator that SHIT IS ABOUT TO HIT THE FAN.

Seriously. NOBODY RUNNING FOR PRES. “takes a few days off” WITH ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO. NOBODY!

  98. Well on the off chance that his grandmother is as sick as the campaign is suggesting, then I hope she feels better soon.

  99. I bet sick Granny is not the reason for his trip to Hawaii. who takes days off with two weeks to go? it is absurd. Send Biden on a vacation too. LoL..

  100. I did hear on Fox, that GM was released from the hospital last week. She isn’t doing very well, if he is going there to see her.

  101. ACTION ITEM:

Take half a second to “vote” on some useless online poll put out by “PUBES’, I mean, PBS. They are trying to discredit Fightin’ Sarah, but even their own rigged polls shows her 50% yes and 49% no, about whether she is “qualified to be president”…as if Obama is (mini-vomit):

    &&&&&&&
    To: ‘Paula Abeles’

PBS is planning to air a negative segment about Sarah Palin. They have sent this to only DEMS. We got hold of it. PLEASE, vote. It takes a second.

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is qualified. Apparently the left wing knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with NO votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters in swing states.

Please do two things — takes 20 seconds.

    1) Click on link and vote YES!

    Here’s the link: http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html

  102. I think this may be a little of both. His grandmother is sick and he wants to see her. At the same time he has a habit of taking off whenever things get too hot for him to handle.

Right now McCain is hitting hard. Joe the Plumber isn’t helping and neither is Joe Biden and his mouth. The polls are tightening and Obama is on the run.

One of the reasons I work against Obama is that I want to LIVE.

  107. I hope his GM gets well. but Does his Hawaii visit have anything to do with his Birth Certificate. it is said that Andy Martin held a news conference about BHO’s Birth Certificate in Hawaii today.

  108. Totally off topic, but hey…

I’m listening to a live Cream recording from 10/25/1968 (wow, just a few days shy of its 40th anniversary), “White Room”. Seriously, the CrapRock scene of today does not hold a candle to this Mount Rushmore of Blues/Rock/Psychedelia.

    ——————————————-
I worry about this reaction. It cuts deep and will not subside quickly or easily. I feel it myself.
    ….

    ===============

Palin!!! If Hillary won’t pass it, I’ll pass it myself! (Palin is willing!)

Asking for a refund is one thing. I’ll probably do that myself — as a message likely to be heard (and because I could use the money).

Jumping to a set in cement negative judgement of HIllary with 100% certainty and an unchangeable passionate emotion — is another thing. We don’t have to do that, just to get our money back and send a message.

There are less painful attitudes to use. There’s hope that she (or someone) will GET the message and shape up in future. Maybe the DNC will get the message and remember it in 2012: “Those Pumas mean business so we’d better nominate someone they like, this time.”

There’s an attitude of “Sheesh, this election is not in Kansas and it’s all above my pay grade. Send my money back and I’ll spend it on something I understand.”

There’s hope that someone will notice and say NOW: “Woops, tell HIllary this isn’t working, she should call in sick for the rest of the month. ” etc

  110. And so now – BHO flys to Hawaii to visit his “ailing” granny – oh puleeze. He and the Mob are descending on the islands to snuff out – probably literally and figuratively Andy Martin uncovering the truth about BHO, by buying off the judicial benches, threatening and following through on every conceivable tactic to drive Andy Martin et al off the islands before they can report anything. This is the most obvious strong arm maneuver to date by the BHO camp. Thugs from the Windy City swarm the island like a bunch of Navy seals. Disgusting…………….C’mon FOX NEWS!!!!!!! REPORT THIS!!!!!

  113. here is what one commenter at NQ thinks is going on in Hawaii:

    —————————–
I work for a judge and have some experience with how this works. When the Expedited (emergency) Order to Show Cause is filed, it normally would have a Proposed Order to Show Cause attached, which Mr. Martin’s does. We set a hearing date and time usually within a few days, a week at most.

As an aside, I notice that Mr. Martin is representing himself pro se, meaning he has not retained a lawyer to represent him and do the legal work. A quick Google check shows that Mr. Martin has a J.D. (law) degree. I quickly read through his legal submissions and they didn’t strick me as the rantings of a lunatic, and believe me I’ve seen plenty of them!

I haven’t seen anywhere that Mr. Obama was personally served with the Order to Show Cause, but it is rare to go ahead with an action without service. So just thinking out loud here…service…filing…requesting a hearing by October 22nd. It is quite possible that Proposed Order is no longer just proposed and is now an Order signed by the judge with an actual hearing date and time. Yep, that might explain the sudden trip to visit grandma in HI.

I’m not a lawyer, but I do have two decades of courtroom and courthouse experience.

today in Tampa was the first day for early voting, and Obama was here practically pushing people to the polls, and I couldn’t help but wonder why he was pushing people so hard to vote early. Someone said it was because the tides are changing again, and he wants people to vote before they change their minds. I don’t know, maybe something is coming.

  116. Question: why are none of the news media telling the statements that Biden made yesterday [abc reported in full] in their entirety? Even Sean Hannity only gave the first part about ‘first six months’ there is guranteed an incident. To me, the rest of the story made a bigger impact, about Dems not liking what nObama says and does and that it would not be apparent that nObama was doing the right thing, but to stick with them that nObama would need them more than ever…………very telling I thought.

Great article and reporting on this, hopefully, nail in the nObama coffin.

    Answer: Three guesses.

For those who are intersted n commenting in public, this gives easy ammunition. On any story that ignores the rest of the story, we can have the rest on our clipboards and helpfully add it. 🙂

  118. Obama’s grandmother has a physical weakness that makes her unable to travel. Her granddaughter lives nearby and takes care of her.

She has apparently chosen to stay in the same home where she’s lived for decades. Why should she uproot herself at her age, especially to a harsh climate and a high pressure political situation? She’s in a high-rise in Honolulu, apparently safe from reporters.

As to the scheduling, we don’t know her schedule of doctors’ appointments etc, or what else Obama might legitimately need to do about getting more documentation on his birth certificate, or what days the right people are available.

  119. Did I read upstream that GM was released from the hospital and NOW he has to drop everything to go see her, that doesn’t seem right. If she was released she must be well enough to be released, so why NOW the big hurry to go see her?? It doesn’t make sense.

If he can wait 3 days, can’t he wait 2 weeks? Or is she very very sick but not very very very sick?

My guess is that she’s very sick but he is waiting out some subpoena possibility. Since he can’t be trusted to ever tell the truth, anything is possible.

  126. Kristol: What Biden Implied – i.e. Bidens major fuck up.

    weeklystandard.com/Weblogs/TWSFP/TWSFPView.asp

John McCain took note Monday of Joe Biden’s remarks the day before at a Seattle
fundraiser (where Biden apparently didn’t realize at first there were media present). But there’s more McCain could say.

    Here’s McCain, in Belton, Missouri:

Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President.

Obama said the invaded country should show restraint.

  127. fox news buying into the bed-side-obama-granny story. does that make BO a compassionate-communist? like freckles said, we’ll never know the truth.

  128. I am being cynical in believing the sick grandmother is at the least an emotional ploy to influence voters? Mean McCain/Palin are picking on the poor guy as he visits her. I seem to remember another health crisis by one of his most fervent supporters which occurred at a propitious hour.

  129. in fact, the other one is probably “scheduled” to make his turn for the worse around november 3rd.

    off to work.

  130. morning all

Henry, Alcina – GMTA here too. “Poor Bambi” act is starting. But when Oblahblah was here in Tampa yesterday, the news was all about his two day PUSH through Florida. Then last night (after I saw Dolly Parton! WOW What a show!) i heard driving home about poor sick grandma. It was billed as “Obama suspends his campaign to visit his ailing grandmother in Hawaii” and it wasn’t till a radio newscast even later I heard “but not til Thursday”

I think that is very odd. When my mom took a “turn for the worse” I was in the car from Houston to Atlanta within a few hours. Barky has his comfortable seat on his personal campaign plane…ya know, the seat with “President” already embroidered into the headrest…to take his butt there NOW.

The other question I had is, “have we ever SEEN Grandma in a contemporary picture with Oblahblah?” If not, why not? Even a photo op?

There is something that doesn’t add up here – unless it is, of course, to see how “strong” Oblowme is when he “has to continue his campaign” amid the grief and weight of his sick grandmother’s state. I hate being cynical about an elderly woman who is clearly important in his life, but I smell “Another Axelrod Production” in the trailer of this one.

  131. But how can they keep it form the people if he is forced to appear in a court on the 22nd — so hyping up the granny story will have its backlash.

  132. pm317
thankyou. yet another example of the absurdity of the big media to tell the world about the plumbers tax lien, but ignore a personnal confidant shrouded in mystery. Why the vagueness? Something less than copecetic?
With regards to a court appearance if nothing becomes of it then the press won’t report that it even took place. And as much as I wish there was some truth to the birth certificate saga I fear it is nothing. And even if there once were documents I am sure they have been replaced or forged in some manner.

  133. What did Guiliani say about Biden’s Sunday remarks? I missed that section this morning. Morning Joe did a credible piece on it this morning, but they are still transparent in their bias. Chucky T this morning gave poll numbers that were at odds with Rasmussen last night. Chucky still has nObama ahead in the polls, and has him carrying more states and electoral votes than McCain…..and has FL as for nObama. Rasmussen has FL has a one percentage point advantage for McCain.
McCain was also hammered with this morning for having no ground force in this campaign with McCain camp citing, ticket surprised them. Morning Joe said that McCain knew he had the ticket in January and there was more than adequate time to prepare a ground game. Anyone see a ground game for McCain and they are just not reporting it on MSM?

  134. Also, Joe and Jane Sixpack need to take to heart what the nObama campaign and the corrupt BM are doing to Joe the Plumber. Expect the same treatment under a nObama regime.

    1. There are none, or they might be discovered to be a fraud

    2. Or he does not think he need to answer to the American People

Either are unacceptable. McCain easily proved he could run for president.

This is only an issue because he made it so, so why not resolve it? This is easily done.

  136. Hi, everyone! Long time no see.

When Gwen Ifill had a conflict of interest in moderating the debate, Obamans said, “That’s silly. It’s the answers that matter not the questions.”
When Joe the Pl asked Obama something, it was the questioner that mattered, not the answer.

  138. NewMexicoFan
I agree both are unacceptable it almost seems as though he is saying that he is not accountable to the American people. The same with the Mike Signator guy. Why create an enigma about him? He was excellent in his defense of McCain.

  145. Dem house Rep Resigns over Child Sex abuse

COLEBROOK – State Rep. George Wilber, D-63, told The Register Citizen Monday night that he will resign from his House seat just two days after the newspaper uncovered a $100,000 payment he made to keep a woman silent about childhood sex abuse allegations and just two weeks before the Nov. 4 election.

Wilber said his resignation from the House is “effective today,” and is due to health reasons related to stress brought on by the revelation.

“My dialysis and stuff is shutting down due to nerves,” said Wilber. “I’m not going to take this.” Wilber said his health has been okay but got worse as the news of sex abuse allegations became public. He is currently awaiting a kidney transplant and undergoes regular dialysis treatments.

“I’m on the list,” Wilber said, about the transplant. “I’m just waiting for the call. Wilber said he is thankful for the support he’s received from his constituents over the years. “I appreciate all their support and cooperation,” he said. “It’s tough times, but we got to do what we got to do.”

Republican State Party Chairman Chris Healy, who called for Wilber’s resignation said he made the correct decision.

“It think it’s the right decision for the people of the 63rd District,” Healy said. “I’m also relived for the person who is the victim in all this.”

When The Register Citizen confronted Wilber with documents relating to a 2005 sex allegations settlement on Friday, he said that he would remain in the race for re-election to the House seat he has held since 2002. He repeated his intention to stay in the race over the weekend, and he was scheduled to debate Republican opponent John Rigby at a candidates’ forum tonight.

The woman, now in her 40s, accused Willber of sexually abusing her as a child, from ages 11 to 18.

Wilber denies those charges and claims he refinanced his home and paid the woman because he wanted to “take the high road” and avoid a legal battle.

The election is just two weeks away, Tuesday, Nov. 4, and it was unclear last night if Democrats had any options for replacing Wilber on the ballot should he, in fact, resign.

ABM90: I am sure it is coming. But the timing is uncertain. Obviously, that worries me because in war timing is everything. Far worse for people to find out who he really is after he is elected.

He is a candidate for the highest position in the country. He has no track record to justify hiring him and his associates are toxic. When we ask the most basic questions about him he evades anwering them. We are fed a steady stream of bullshit by big media. No hiring manager would touch him. And in the final analysis this IS a hiring decision, and the stakes cannot be higher.

When no information is forthcoming you tend to ask why. Is it just because nobody wants to be called a racist–a term which his campaign and media surrogates toss around liberally as a defense to legitimate questions and criticism.

When he was in his cups, Hemingway used to drone on about his bullshit detector. I think the bullshit detector of most mature people is going off like a four alarm fire, when it comes to Obama.

Who is this would be messiah? Why is he here now? What does he represent? What is it they are not telling us? Why are they holding back? Why are the elites not the least but curious? What is the real story behind this market collapse? What is Biden gaffing about the next president will be tested in 6 months scenario? In sum what the fuck is going on?

Only a fool is willing to buy a pig in a poke. But sometimes it feels like the reverse of he joke Debbie told the other day. We are the ones driving down the highway in the right direction and an army of bots is seeing determined to see the USA in their Chevolet against the flow of traffic, reason and common sense.

  148. lilolegrape is right in that phonebanking or canvassing, if possible, is the way to help McCain and Palin in these last days. Bloggins is good, but not effective in making too much of a difference if it is preaching to the choir. There are low informatin people out there who are going to vote – let’s inform them.
Phone Bank, please, even if just for one hour a day. FL is evidently still considered a swing state and some have it in nObama’s column, so please phone bank there if possible and in other swing states.

I had to laugh out loud, no disrepect to Hillary, but remember it was reported that the Tampa crowd for Hillary and nObama was ‘in the 10s of thousands?’ Well a later report gave the number as 40,000. Sarah Palin pulled a much bigger crowd than that all by her little old self in the Villages, low estimates were 60, 0000. I was there, and there were estimates between 80,000 [evidently when fire marshalls shut down the gates] and 100,000.

Hillary, dear, it ain’t working. You are hurting yourself and your future. Stop. Now. Please.

  149. You have to believe that Murtha doesn’t care if he gets elected.
But he may have the desired effect with his characterizations. May not vote for him but they’ll prove they are not racists or even worse red necks by voting for waffles. To me it seems like a way to negate the Bradley Effect. And if bambi has proven nothing else he has given irrefutable evidence to how easily the American electorate is manipulatable.
    ————————————–
Henry: if that is their thinking they are wrong. People do not want to be called racists without justification. They are more likely to punish the campaign that seeks to put them in that box. Don’t you think it is more likely an effort to distract people from discussing his real deficiencies? That is the way it seems to me. I have got news for them: aint gonna work.

Experience has shown that bambi works best in a controlled environment where he can just project his bullshit through the tv screen without interruption or contradiction. I hope the Republicans put Sara on to answer his lies. More than anyone else she gets to him psychologically. And that is what the people of this country need to see.

  150. I think people are sick and tired of being called every name in the book if they don’t vote for the “annoited one.” Blackmail is a terrible thing and hindsight is 20-20, so please realize that your right to vote is not something to be taken for granted. If you want your freedoms to be taken away from you, if you want a dictatorship, then by all means waste your vote on this vagrant.

  151. The 150 million in September may be nothing more than a concerted effort by our enemies to buy a weak American president. Since he is unwilling to identify his donors that may well be the situation.

Those who haven’t found us on the web by now are not likely to find us now.
If each of us printed just a few flyers a day and left them in the shopping carts, the barbershop, the post office, the toy store, the shoe store, we could make a difference. Flyers are available for downloading from many sources. For a start, try PUMA Action Center pumapac.org/flydocs.html

Don’t stand alone and hand out on the street, however. It’s dangerous. If you are acting alone, sneak them secretly into places where they can be found. That’s what I do.

  153. Why is nobody discussing O and Frank Davis. Frank was a Communist and a mentor of O in Hawaii. When O left for college, Frank warned him not to buy into Equality and the American Way. O writes about him in his book but refers to him only as “Frank”.

Discussing O’s victory in Iowa, Frank Chapman, another CPUSA (communist party USA) wrote:

“Obama’s victory was more than a progressive move; it was a dialectical leap ushering in a qualitatively new era of struggle Marx once compared revolutionary struggle with the work of the mole, who sometimes burrows so far beneath the ground that he leaves no trace of his movement on the surface. This is the old revolutionary ‘mole,’ not only showing his traces on the surface but also breaking through.”

Welcome to the “era of struggle”. I think this is why O cannot get rid of tax hikes for the rich. He will punish them, they will fire us, we will be unemployed, but our struggles will be for the glory of the workers paradise. So, as Biden warned, do not complain when there’s a long wait in the bread lines.

Two of these sources are Democrats and are journalists. They were not trying to sabotage the Obama campaign. They were passing on something they believed to be true. The fact that my third source, a person who lives on the West Coast and is a Republican, has no ties whatsoever to the other two but told the same story persuaded me this “tape” exists. My Republican friend tells me that the McCain campaign intervened and requested the tape not be used.

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania ” 10/21/08) – Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and tbe DNC “ADMITTED”, by way of failure to timely respond to Requests for Admissions, all of the numerous specific requests in the Federal lawsuit. Obama is “NOT QUALIFIED” to be President and therefore Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President and the DNC shall substitute a qualified candidate. The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Berg stated that he filed Requests for Admissions on September 15, 2008 with a response by way of answer or objection had to be served within thirty [30] days. No response to the Requests for Admissions was served by way of response or objection. Thus, all of the Admissions directed to Obama and the DNC are deemed “ADMITTED.” Therefore, Obama must immediately withdraw his candidacy for President.

    JOE BIDEN’S FEARS

    Last updated: 5:54 am

Joe Biden wonders whether Barack Obama is qualified to be commander-in-chief.

“Mark my words,” Biden warned Sunday at a Democratic fund-raiser. “It will not be six months [after the inauguration] before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy.”

Then he added, “Watch. We’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

Now, here’s where it gets scary.

Obama’s “gonna need your help to use your influence within the community to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

    He’s going to need help?

    Terrific.

What’s particularly disturbing is Biden’s Kennedy analogy.

For those who don’t recall, it was a scant five months after JFK became president that Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev took his measure.

Kennedy had just bungled the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba, then went off to a summit in Vienna – where Khruschev determined that the rookie chief executive could be had.

Two months later, construction began on the Berlin Wall, precipitating a crisis that nearly led to a US-Soviet shooting war in Europe.

And 14 months after that came the Cuban Missile Crisis – when nuclear Armageddon was only barely averted.

Is Biden saying that America’s current enemies – sorely aware of Obama’s inexperience – plan to test a President Obama with similar crises, to see what he’s made of?

    Sure seems like it.

But what if Obama is still on the wrong side of the learning curve when this major international crisis hits?

More important: What if he makes the wrong decision – as even Joe Biden suggests he might?

After all, Obama was wrong about the troop surge in Iraq.

And he was wrong in his initial response to Russia’s invasion of Georgia – when he urged the victimized nation to “show restraint.”

And he was wrong when he said he would gladly sit down unconditionally with people like Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad – the very people his own running-mate now says are planning to “test” him.

As John McCain said yesterday, “We don’t want a president who invites testing from the world . . . The next president won’t have time.”

Little wonder, then, that Biden later admitted that he “probably shouldn’t have said all this.”

    But why not, Joe?

    It’s doubtless all true.

And it’s much better to get it all out now – rather than wait until it’s too late to do anything about it.

  162. If you are an enemy of the United States you might well adopt a strategy to support the election of a weak president and then generate an international crisis to exploit that weakness. This is covert stategy 101 and the fact that our own CIA has done similar things to other countries in the past does not mean that the same stratey cannot be use against us as well. As noted above, the fact that Obama refuses to identify his donors lends credence and cover to those who would do this. To be clear I am not saying that Obama is in league with them. I am merely suggesting that he is too naive and focused on winning to realize when he is being used. But that is every bit as dangerous.

Obama to media: pony up for election night access
By: Greg Hinz Oct. 21, 2008

(Crain’s) — The best-funded political campaign in American history says news organizations will have to pay—in some cases almost $2,000 each—if they want to cover Barack Obama’s election-night celebration in Chicago.

A memo sent to news organizations on Tuesday by the Obama campaign says credentials will cost $715 to $1,815, depending on whether electrical and phone lines are needed and whether an indoor or outdoor seat is requested for the event, which is expected to be held outside the evening of Nov. 4 in Grant Park.

The only free admissions are for what’s known as the “general media” area. But, as the memo stresses, “Please note that the General Media area is outdoors, unassigned and may have obstructed views . . . standing room only.”

The General Media area also does not include any access to top Obama campaign officials, whose statements likely are to be in hot demand on Election Night. They apparently will be available only in the “press file” tent, to which an additional admission fee of $935 per person is being imposed.

Obama aides declined to answer questions about why a campaign that raised $150 million in the month of September is demanding such payments. But the memo already is drawing some protest.

In her blog on the Chicago Sun-Times’ Web site, Lynn Sweet, the paper’s veteran Washington bureau chief, termed the memo “an outrageous pay-to-play plan that caters to national elite (media) outlets.”

While many reporters can do without the power, Internet access, food and other items that come with some event price tiers, they must “crave” access, and for that they will have to pay, Ms. Sweet wrote.

One Obama spokesman privately likened the Chicago event to how coverage is arranged at national political conventions. But at both the Democratic and GOP conventions this summer, news organizations had to pay extra only if they wanted a dedicated phone line. Most credentials came with assigned seats, all were indoors with views of the stage, and all were free.

A spokesman later said that the fees will only pay the costs of, for instance, building risers with a view of the stage.

Media traditionally are charged for out-of-pocket costs in traveling with campaigns. For instance, media accompanying Mr. Obama and GOP nominee John McCain around the country pay their own hotel bills and a fee for air fare. But a fee rarely if ever is charged for the coverage itself.

This is really bad news for Obama — he scored just 2 points higher than McCain in Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Poll. For comparison, John Kerry won that poll by 12% back in 2004. Of course, Kerry went on to lose the election to Bush, so the Kids’ Poll is junk, right?

Not the way we see it — there’s something fascinating going on here, and it’s VERY bad news for Obama, the DNC, and the mainstream media. Obama should have BLOWN McCAIN AWAY in this Kids’ Poll — since, isn’t Obama’s whole selling point cruxed in his appeal to his “youth army”?

This of course gripes about McCain’s tight grip on his medical records, but Obama’s is totally laughable. The whole thing is at the above link, but the Obama reference is precious:

Senator Barack Obama has put out such meager information that voters have to take it largely on his campaign’s say-so that he is in good health.
    (snip)
In contrast to Senator McCain’s voluminous records, Senator Obama issued an undated, single-page letter from his personal doctor asserting that he is in “excellent health” and that there are no known medical problems that would affect his ability to serve as president. The Obama campaign has refused to make the doctor available for interviews.

Late last week, the campaign released the results of standard laboratory tests and electrocardiograms from checkups — the most recent in January 2007. The findings were normal. That is a paltry amount of information, especially for a candidate who started smoking at least two decades ago and has had difficulty quitting, leaving him susceptible to lung cancer and other smoking-related ailments.

  175. Need a chuckle? More gems from the NYTimes, this from Bob Herbert:

“Please. The Times put the matter in perspective when it said in an editorial that Acorn needs to be more careful with some aspects of its voter-registration process. It needs to do a better job selecting canvassers, among other things.”

$$$$ Yes, thanks for the “perspective”.

“Senator Obama had nothing to do with Acorn’s voter-registration drives.”

If anyone tries to debunk the myth that Obama will do anything to win the general election, let’s go to the videotape, to see how he “won” the nomination: fear, intimidation, and fraud, most egregiously in those caucuses.

Where Obama’s strategy has a weakness in the general election is that in caucuses, you could send die hards from state to state to work their caucus strategy. They’ll be spread out too thin.

So Axelrod and Cabal will have to dream up other ways to steal this.

    And so we fight them.

  176. Good News

McCain outperforming Bush in key bellwether counties in Ohio

    campaignspot.nationalreview.com/

I continue to hear from my source on the ground in Ohio, who is seeing results for McCain that are surprisingly good. He puts it, “in a key bellweather section of Ohio, McCain continues to show internals that are exceeding the national pollsters’ results. This portends a potentially larger McCain victory in Ohio than Bush had in 2004.”

As for those national pollsters, note that Fox News/Rasmussen puts McCain up 2, NBC/Mason-Dixon puts McCain up 1 and Rasmussen had it a tie last week. My guy on the ground thinks this might mean that the internal polling is a leading indicator, and he’s noting that if McCain does as well among the key demographics in neighboring Pennsylvania as he is in Ohio, then the Democrats ought to be sweating about that state.

That’s far from a given, of course; Pennsylvania is a bluer state than Ohio. I don’t know that McCain will win Pennsylvania, but it isn’t like he hasn’t been given enough material – “spread the wealth around”, “no coal plants”, Murtha alternately calling his constituents “racists” and “rednecks,” the bitter small-town clinger comment, etc.

I can hear it now – “Jim, Jim, what about the Suffolk Poll showing McCain losing Ohio by 9?” Well, if the Ohio electorate on Nov. 4 really does turn out to be 54 percent women and 46 percent men, and 45 percent Democrat and 31 percent Republican, then that may very well be the result. But I would be curious about which debilitating virus is attacking those with Y chromosomes in that state. (Having said that, the 2004 exit poll put the gender split at 53-47 in favor of women.

It’s the whole of the Chicago downtown lakefront – don’t know which part of it he is using, however. There are several places he could go – maybe it’s Soldier’s Field – the equivalent of Invesco.

  183. 1. Obama Tax Plan Will Kill The Goose That Lays The Golden Egg

    2. He wants to raise FICA 4% and impose a 4% surcharge on small business.

    3. During this past year small businesses were the engine of his economy. They created millions of jobs. Big business lost 180,000 jobs (excluding layoffs).

    4. The Obama tax plan would kill small businesses and destroy the jobs of them people they employ. The ripple effect would be serious and could easily turn a recession into a depression.

    5. Case in point: a friend of mine told me about a neighbor of hers who owns three Wendy’s franchises. She is a widower, has owned then for 17 years and employs 60 employees. She has worked long hours to make these businesses work but the margins are razor thin.

    6. She has evaluated the impact of the Obama plan on her small business enterpises. If the plan he proposes is implemented she will be forced to close her businesses. Sixty people will lose their jobs. That is the hard point of the matter. The figures dont lie.

    7. As a small business owner she can only charge so much for her product and stay in the market. Minimum wage is going up and she cannot drop her wage rates. Transportation costs are increasing. The 4%+4% would eliminate her profit margin. She would operate at a loss.

    8. The Obama plan is a death warrant for her business and many other small businesses like it. The broader effect upon the economy would be to kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

    9. Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike must put country before party, and block Obamas access to power. If we fail to do that we will see a thousand misfortunes.

  184. Has anyone listened to talk radio today? They are all talking about Obama will get his tax cuts from social security. they are going to raise payroll tax and that pays social security, so loss of revenue for what pays social security. Has anyone heard this before? Are seniors aware of this???????? I think they are saying its in the Wall Street Journal.

  185. now we know why Obama and Murtha are sweating buckets over Western PA. They are losing Western PA by a mile, I betcha, which means they are losing NE Ohio by a mile, the same counties Hillary tore Obama in by a mile. I see a pattern forming here
    ———————————————————
I canvassed in western PA for Hillary. You bet your sweet bippy Bambi will lose there. And it aint because they are racists. They are a mature audience and see him for what he is: trouble with a capital T.

  186. What I have heard from the media on her crowds is how minimal it is to the number of people in the state who votes, its like .05% or something. Anything to demoralize her supporters.

  187. I am so glad this election is coming to an end…this national nightmare brought to us by BO.

anyway, we’ve been living in media propaganda and psychological warfare purgatory since June, and during the primary at least every week or so with a new primary or caucus, we got to compare reality to the biased headlines and polls the media were spewing for BO – and just about every week after Super Tues, we discovered that the media was WRONG.

  188. Wow, how knowledgable we are and have become since the beginning of this national nightmare.
I appreciate everyone here for how each has added to my base of information.

    And Admin, whoever you are.

  189. countthevotes,

the biggest blessing will be that Obama’s whitewashed ads won’t be oversaturated on the networks any longer.

  190. Jan H, if people believe the negative ads nObama is running in Central FL about McCain, nObama will win by a landslide. However, we are smart, and most of us are sick sick sick of hearing and seeing nObama.

McCain/Palin – phonebank for them through McCain’s website, please.

  191. leave it to Palin to come up with the zingers.. But she does it so well.

Palin fed off the words of Obama’s running mate, Sen. Joe Biden, who said Sunday that Obama would be challenged by an international crisis in his first six months of office. During a rally at the Reno Convention Center, Palin listed four scenarios “that would place our country at risk in an Obama administration,” including sitting down with dictators and sending American troops to Pakistan over the objections of the country’s leader.

“But I guess the looming crisis that most worries the Obama campaign right now is Joe Biden’s next speaking engagement,” Palin said. “Let’s call that crisis scenario number five.”

  192. yes, even the people and patients I work with say they will be glad when it is over. There are tired of the lies! I was driving some back road in East TExas yesterday and all I saw were McCain/Palin signs. Hillary won there? I met a couple last night that seem to be undecided, had campaigned for Hillary and really wanted her but were now apathetic about the outcome of this election. THey did not believe a word BO was telling them.

  193. I guess Palin got her testicular fortitude from Hillary because Hillary has seemed to lost hers. I wish she would just tell US the truth!

  195. i spoke with someone who worked for clinton organizing the delegates to the convention and they said that what happened at roll call, with clinton throwing the NY delegates to BO, was planned 15 minutes before it happened. (though that seems to contradict some of the newspapers reporting that this was going to happen). that truthfully, clinton did want unity and that’s why she did what she did (though the same can’t be said of BO who continued his divisiveness and didn’t have the good judgment to even offer VP to Clinton and rejected 18 million of our votes)…

next, I spoke to someone who said that clinton herself on BO’s campaign trail are telling people that she lost fair and square, that she didn’t have a caucus strategy and that the “inevitable” approach was wrong (and implicitly, she was not well-served by her staff like Penn and Solis-Doyle).

even so, that in no way gives any sort of cover to the media for it’s unconscionable bias against her, nor the caucus fraud perpetuated by The Selected One’s campaign.

  198. Count, she has been coached, she is just to dedicated to making him win to believe for one minute she is behind him. Her own brothers are helping McCain. She is very close to them, so WHY are they not voting for the “ONE”??

  199. I was just of at TD and they are saying the Berg case is about to be dismissed! I think that the Kennedy’s are behind this because if they can get Obama in, this leaves it wide open for the terminator to get in. That’s what they want another family member to get in, whether republican or democrat. Arnie should not be president anymore than Obama should, thats the constitution! There are two ways to look at this.

One is the idealistic one: by shilling for the fraud Hillary is breaking faith with her loyal supporters and helping to perpetrate a fraud upon the country. And by failing to tell the truth about the primaries she is aiding and abetting a cover-up.

One is the practical one: she is in a position where she has no choice but to support him, and hopes the American People will reflect on things she and Bill said during the primary. If she told the truth now she would become the scapegoat when he loses or the first casualty if he wins. If she becomes a caualty of war, she will lose the future ability to serve the American People.

During the 1950s there was a movie called A Room With A View. It was about an honest young exective (Paul Newman) who tries to chart an ethical course through the sordid world of a corporation. At he end of the movie they offer him exactly what he wanted before he realized what it would cost. He turns down the offer, tells them they are a bunch of whores and gives us the catharsis we were looking for. Yes, it is great drama as far as it goes.

He quit and they can no longer touch him. But in the very act of quitting, he forfeits the opportunity to stay in that company and ultimately make it a better place. If it were me, I would do what he did. But I cannot say for sure that someone who decides to accept that position and stay with the firm to improve it from the inside is necesarily wrong. In fact that may be the more herioic path.

    ==========

Is this the whole of his famous mysterious new tax?

Rhetorical questions follow, this is stuff the GOP should have researched, not asking you to reinvent it…. Just, has anyone seen it posted at some GOP site, where it belongs?

Any clear info on what the threshold would be for which businesses are subject to Obama’s new one? Biden said “only 2% of businesses/small businesses?” would be.

2% of which businesses? Of everyone who has a Retail Sales License and/or files a Schedule C? The vast majority of these are just hobbies or never get off the ground. What percent of viable small businesses, say with X number of full time employees outside the family, would be subject?

  213. And by failing to tell the truth about the primaries she is aiding and abetting a cover-up.
    ——-

SHould be a middle ground. SAYING he won fair (if she really said that) is too much.

  214. wbboei, they made the movie again in the late 80s — I had to go back to Florence again after seeing the movie and then come back and see the movie again.. so it went! I always joke around that I married a Cecil, LOL.. Wait, your description does not quite match the story. Are you talking about “A Room with a View” by E. M. Forster?

  215. His new mysterious tax law is scarey for me. I have a small goat business that is just getting off the ground, i might as well sell my herd if he is going to do this. I have been paying a 7% since Bush was in office and Ive gotten used to it. I will be damned if I am going to pay more especially since now I will have this Bar, which incidently should open by the weekend!

  216. turndown, I sincerely hope she is not saying he won fair and square, that is over the line! He cheated his ass off and is trying to do it to McCain. I just hope that McCain drop the last shoe before too long!

  217. I loved the EM Forster room with a view! will have to watch the Paul Newman one with the same title.

back to Hillary – I think she still is the right person to be President – in becoming that, she was hoping to save us and this country…so, I think it’s fine that she is saving herself and her political career at this time. She knows that no matter what happens, whether she becomes President or not, that maintaining her career, she can continue to serve the public.

  218. confloyd – i don’t think she literally said “won fair and square” – this was passed down from a friend, so don’t take it literally.

  219. putting another surcharge on small businesses does not make very much sense, in such a bad economy. GOP should publicize this more. Increasing FICA tax is not very good, either. Losing all incentive to make more money.

  220. I’m still on the Indiana Dems mail list since I canvassed there, and their newsletter today says BO leads Mac 48 percent to 46 percent in Indiana. Has to be the 105% registration in Gary skewing the poll sample, like everywhere. Here is the link they cite:

    publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/

  221. Fair is fair…if we want retractions for our side’s truth, we must print them and absorb them into our knowledge stream no matter where they come from:

btw, since I am not a Manhattenite…which paper is Page Six in – it is the one that also printed the email from Keith Obermann’s one night stand—

    Anyway:
    ————————————————
This is rare. Page Six has printed a retraction.

“THE source who told us last week about Michelle Obama getting lobster and caviar delivered to her room at the Waldorf-Astoria must have been under the influence of a mind-altering drug. She was not even staying at the Waldorf. We regret the mistake, and our former source is going to regret it, too. Bread and water would be too good for such disinformation.”
    ——————————–
So let us Pink Pagers forget that crap and get back on the phones for John and Sarah.

Don’t forget, we are the grownups.

  222. Illinois: thanks. One correction to what I said above. I said small businesses have created millions of new jobs. That is probably true but I cannot cite a statistic to prove it. What I can tell you however is that 100% of the new jobs were created by new business. Also, these are net figures, in the sense that big business did create new jobs and small business lost some existing ones but the difference between jobs created and jobs lost is what is reflected in the 180,000 lost and 100% new jobs figures presented in the posting above. I intend to send this to Sean Hannity later tonight.

Though I would not like to see Hillary’s career marginalized if the Fraud loses, some things are more important in life. Some people actually believe so strongly in saving this Country from it’s self, they put their very lives in harms way: soldiers, like McCain… all he had to do was leave Hanoi Hilton when given the opportunity, but he chose to stay till ALL the POW’s were released and for that, he was tortured for 4 more years. That’s what I want in my leader. We have a choice.
