Joe – The Plumber

John McCain, possibly by design, but more likely by pure luck, has forged a powerful weapon in his tough fight against the inexperienced, and unqualified Barack Obama.

Joe – The Plumber, makes a quintessential argument from the “rugged individualism” strain of American politics which emphasizes individual responsibility. Joe – The Plumber, makes the argument with a great deal of credibility and in a more erudite way than any Republican leader today.

“Joe The Plumber” has weighed in on Wednesday’s presidential debate and he says that Barack Obama’s tax plan “infuriates me.”

“To be honest with you, that infuriates me,” plumber Joe Wurzelbacher told Nightline’s Terry Moran. “It’s not right for someone to decide you made too much—that you’ve done too good and now we’re going to take some of it back.”

“That’s just completely wrong,” he added.

Yesterday, Obama’s “spread the wealth” quote made unwanted news for Obama. What struck us is how a very simple question from Joe – The Plumber, led to a full tour of the Obama bamboozlement and flim-flam technique.

Obama did his utmost to cover up the simple answer to a very simple question. Obama even tried to get Joe – The Plumber to get on a time machine and imagine how wonderful things would be if things were the way Obama creates in the past. The bottom line however is that, even as Obama acknowledged the value of small businesses to job creation, the simple answer to Joe – The Plumber’s simple question to Obama is “Yes”.

ABC News wrote up the rise of Joe – The Plumber (though the article is more an Obama campaign dictated defense against Joe – The Plumber):

The plumber’s brush with fame began on Sunday when he confronted Barack Obama outside of Toledo, Ohio. Wurzelbacher challenged the Democratic candidate on his plan to raise taxes on the top five percent of earners — a policy which would, by the Obama campaign’s own estimation, mean higher taxes for 184,000 small businesses.

“I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes 250 to 280 thousand dollars a year,” Wurzelbacher told Obama. “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?”

It did not take long for Joe – The Bankers’ Biden, to attack Joe – The Plumber. Joe – The Bankers’ Biden, thinks Joe – The Plumber is somehow less than genuine, and somehow “rich”.

Obama supporters immediately joined in the trashing of Joe – The Ordinary Citizen Plumber.

John McCain has forged a powerful weapon in Joe – The Plumber.

John McCain better take full advantage of the powerful weapon he has in Joe – The Plumber.

In a fight of monikers, last night, Joe – The Plumber competed favorably with Alexander – The Great.
