Sarah Palin’s New Frontier

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will debate Senator Joe Biden tonight.

There are two goals Governor Palin should have.

1. The first goal is to explain to the American voter why John McCain chose her for vice president.

2. The second goal should be to concentrate her fire on Barack Obama.

Why McCain Chose Governor Sarah Palin.

Governor Palin must understand that she was the strongest choice as vice president for John McCain. Governor Palin must communicate that she was the strongest choice as vice president for John McCain to the American voter.

Governor Palin should explain that she was not chosen for her years of experience in Washington. Governor Palin should explain that she was chosen by John McCain to be his partner because John McCain wanted a partner maverick to fight for reform in Washington.

Governor Palin must tell the American people that she is the strongest choice for John McCain because she will fight. She will bring her frontier fighting spirit to Washington

Governor Palin should say that John McCain wanted a fighter from the last frontier – Alaska – to help him fight the varmints in Washington.

Governor Palin should also make clear that she will be fighting for John McCain’s policies. Towards that end Governor Palin should remind voters of some of the policy making gaffes that experienced Joe Biden has made on the campaign trail.

But noting Biden’s gaffes should be a way to demonstrate how Biden substantively disagrees with Barack Obama. Whether on coal or raising taxes or Iraq there are differences between Biden and Obama that Governor Palin should examine.

Of course, Biden has stated Obama lacks the experience to be president and Governor Palin should raise that issue although Joe Biden will doubtless have canned answers to refute his own statements.

Governor Palin could also raise a question that Big Media has protected Obama on. We have written repeatedly on this issue but Big Media has had zero questions (other than a good but never followed up on exchange on CNN). The issue is Obama’s non-vote on Kyl-Lieberman, the legislation labeling the Iranian Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist organization.

Obama unfairly attacked Hillary on Kyl-Lieberman. But Obama did not bother to vote on Kyl-Lieberman. Obama talked a lot, but when it came time to vote he vamoosed. Obama had excuses for not voting on Kyl-Lieberman which Joe Biden strongly questioned. “I wonder why he wasn’t there to vote,” Biden said. “We all knew that this vote was coming up.”

Sarah Palin can do the nation a great service and finally get an answer as to why Obama did what he usually does and did not vote on Kyl-Lieberman. “I wonder why he wasn’t there to vote,” Biden said. “We all knew that this vote was coming up.”

Governor Palin should prove she is comfortable answering questions. Governor Palin might point out that she has little experience in dealing with the pampered princes and princesses of Big Media. BUT, Governor Palin should strongly point out that she is not running for vice president to pamper the pampered princes and princesses of Big Media.

Governor Palin should strongly state that she is there to address the needs of the American people and to help implement the policies of John McCain.

But in everything she says tonight Governor Palin should remember her target is Obama not Biden. She can employ Biden as an arrow to hit target Obama. On experience, use Biden’s words to target Obama. On taxes and coal, use Biden’s words to target Obama. On meeting rogue leaders use the Biden arrow to hit target Obama. “World leaders should not meet with other world leaders unless they know what the agenda is, so you don’t end up being used,” Biden said.

Regarding the current economic crisis, Governor Palin should remind Americans that when Obama had to chose between his rich convicted corrupt slumlord friend, Antoin “Tony” Rezko and his own constitutents – Obama protected Rezko and let his constituents freeze. That is how Obama has and would “govern” and Governor Palin should inform Americans of that history and prognosis.

Tonight, once again, Americans will see Governor Sarah Palin in an unflitered format. Sarah Palin will be able to speak directly to voters. The moderator is an Obama supporter and Joe Biden is the Obama running mate. Governor Palin is in for a fight. But to fight is why she was the best choice for John McCain.

Tonight, Sarah Palin has to strap on her guns and be prepared for a shoot-out.

A shoot-out is what a frontier gal is best at.
