NOvember Arrives – Get To Work – NObama

Happy Halloween! Last day of October. Tomorrow is the beginning of NOvember. Get to work. Call friends and family, email friends and family, call those you met during the primaries – say NObama, NOvember.

Readers of Big Pink know the drill – don’t worry – work.

Don’t get distracted by what others are saying or doing or threatening or endorsing – get the job done.

As Hillary supporters during the primaries our strength is our affinity with other Hillary supporters. And Hillary supporters will determine this election.

Hillary Magic

It is arguable that if the presidential election was held today Barack Obama would buy the White House and get over 300 electoral votes. But the election is Tuesday.

Hillary supporters will determine this election. Associated Press poll:

One in seven, or 14 percent, can’t decide, or back a candidate but might switch, according to an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll of likely voters released Friday.

Who are they? They look a lot like the voters who’ve already locked onto a candidate, though they’re more likely to be white and less likely to be liberal. And they disproportionately backed Hillary Rodham Clinton‘s failed run for the Democratic nomination. [snip]

Overall, the share of these voters – sometimes referred to as “persuadables” – has barely budged from levels measured in June and September AP-Yahoo News polls, conducted online by Knowledge Networks.[snip]

Almost four in 10 persuadables lean toward McCain, and about as many are considering backing Obama, while the rest are either undecided or lean toward other candidates. Viewed another way, about one in every 10 supporters of Obama or McCain says he could still change his mind.

Even so, persuadable voters could be especially fertile hunting ground for McCain in the closing days of a contest in which most polls show him trailing.

These people trust Obama less than decided voters do to handle the economy, the Iraq war and terrorism. They are less accepting that the Illinois senator has enough experience to be president. And by a 17 percentage-point spread, more see Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin favorably than unfavorably, unlike the narrow majority of voters already backing a candidate who dislike her. [snip]

Just four in 10 persuadables report being contacted by political workers urging them to vote in the presidential contest, compared with just over half of those who’ve made up their minds. [snip]

Half are independents, more than double their proportion among decided voters. But, as with decided voters, more persuadables are Democrats than Republicans. Four in 10 supported Clinton’s candidacy this spring.

She got cheated, I thought,” said Chris Markle, 25, who’s from Schenectady, N.Y., and now leans toward McCain. “I’m kind of upset about that.”

GET IT? “She got cheated…” It’s Hillary supporters, stupid. So let’s get to work.

McCain gets it. McCain is courting Hillary supporters in Pennsylvania with a mailer. Pennsylvania is the keystone state this election. Pennsylvania, Hillary, “clingy”, “bitter”, Pennsylvania – Get it?

Hillary Magic

Best way to get rid of frustration, is to get to work. Best way to feel useful is to get to work. Best way to get things done is to get to work.

So, get to work.

John McCain is invoking the Hillary Clinton magic in Pennsylvania. Let’s get to work for a good NOvember.

Latest Mason-Dixon Pennsylvania poll: Obama 47%, McCain 43%, Undecided 9%. [Read our earlier report about Pennsylvania – it might be even closer in Pennsylvania.]

And let’s not forget Rezko. Wall Street Journal today- The Chicago Boys:

Following his conviction this summer, Mr. Obama said, “This isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew.” The Senator said the same about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, after his longtime pastor’s “God D— America” YouTube turn this spring. [snip]

Along with John McCain, Mr. Obama explicitly pledged he wouldn’t dismiss Mr. Fitzgerald. But does that mean the prosecutor won’t be “promoted” out of Chicago? And while we’re at it, will Mr. Obama rule out a pardon for Tony Rezko? Clarifying both points could keep the wheels of justice turning against corruption.

There’s a different question for American voters. Mr. Obama pledges to clean up our nation’s politics and outpolls John McCain on honesty and ethics. Yet in Chicago, he moved with the Tony Rezkos and endorsed pols like Mayor Daley and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger. Can a politician so steeped in his hometown’s ways really be an agent of change in Washington?

And don’t worry about the threats:

“If Obama loses it will spark the second American Civil War. Blood will run in the streets, believe me. And it’s not a coincidence that President Bush recalled soldiers from Iraq for Dick Cheney to lead against American citizens in the streets.”

During the primaries voters were indoctrinated by Obama and Big Media that Hillary should get out – and still the voters of South Dakota on the last day of the primaries ignored Tom Daschle and Dimocratic leaders and voted for Hillary. During the primaries voters were indoctrinated by Obama and Big Media that Hillary should get out and still in Kentucky and West Virginia Hillary humiliated Obama beating him by more than 40% of the vote.

It took initially disenfranchising Florida and Michigan voters and and then stealing Michigan Hillary delegates to give to Obama so that Obama could be gifted the nomination by Dimocrat leaders. Remember Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan – it was Obama “share the wealth” redistribution – with delegates.

Hillary Magic

Get it? It’s Hillary supporters who will determine this election.

Get to work – it’s NOvember.

Hillary Magic

Obama Halloween Family Values

George W. Bush has been a singularly successful, amazingly adept and resourceful President – for his friends. America might be circling the drain but George W. Bush’s friends have done very well.

Likewise, Barack Obama has been singularly successful and amazingly adept in his career – for himself and his temporary “friends”.

William Jefferson Clinton and Hillary Clinton have been singularly successful and amazingly adept in their careers too. The difference between Bill and Hill as opposed to W. Bush and Barack Obama is that Bill and Hill have not only helped themselves and their friends have better lives, Bill and Hill helped Americans, ordinary Americans have better lives.

We are reminded of the various “accomplishments” and histories of George and Barack and Bill and Hill by news of yet another Obama relative that his turned up – living in a Boston slum. When first we read the London Times article we chuckled as proof emerged yet again of how little, with less than a week before the presidential election, we know about Barack Obama. The article was also a sad reminder that the American Big Media continues to protect Barack Obama and that the article was published across the Atlantic Ocean.

Before Obama announced publicly his decision to run for president Obama campaign operatives investigated then scrubbed his history. One example of the scrubbed Obama history which did come to light was the parking ticket story.

Before Barack Obama was a United States senator and a presidential hopeful, he was a Harvard University law student living in Somerville who parked in bus stops and accumulated hundreds of dollars in parking tickets. And for nearly two decades those parking tickets went unpaid, until a representative of Obama’s settled all his outstanding debts with Cambridge’s Traffic, Parking and Transportation Department Jan. 26.

No investigation of the unpaid parking tickets was ever made. What was happening on a certain month that earned Obama 13 parking citations? If it was Hillary Clinton or John McCain unpaid parking tickets no doubt there would have been breathless stories written about the unpaid parking tickets. Unvetted, uninvestigated Obama was given a free pass. Did Obama get the parking tickets because he was on the way to meet his drug dealer and or was he simply an absent minded college student not concerned with parking tickets even if there were more than one a day? In this apparently small matter as in big matters Big Media has not only given Obama a free pass, Big Media has protected Obama.

We mention the parking tickets scrubbing, not to emulate Javert, but due to the latest Obama relative that has turned up, this time in the Boston slums. Clearly, as demonstrated by the parking ticket scrubbing, the Obama campaign early on knew and prepared for some of the unpleasant events in Obama’s history. It is hard to imagine that a scrubbing operation that uncovers unpaid parking tickets would therefore not detect Boston area Obama relatives.

The London Times (not the New York or L.A. Times) did some digging at this late date and lo and behold an Obama aunt appears. Not just any aunt, but an aunt Obama had met and written about in his “autobiography“.

Zeituni Onyango, the aunt so affectionately described in Mr Obama’s best-selling memoir Dreams from My Father, lives in a disabled-access flat on a rundown public housing estate in South Boston.

A second relative believed to be the long-lost “Uncle Omar” described in the book was beaten by armed robbers with a “sawed-off rifle” while working in a corner shop in the Dorchester area of the city. He was later evicted from his one-bedroom flat for failing to pay $2,324.20 (£1,488) arrears, according to the Boston Housing Court.

As the London Times notes, Obama’s aunt and uncle live “just across town” from where Obama attended college. Obama (Barack) also knew that his “Uncle Omar” moved to Boston in the 1960s. After exploiting his aunt and uncle in his book, (Barack) Obama apparently no longer had any use for them.

We found out today that Joe – The Plumber, after asking Obama a not too difficult question which Obama still managed to bungle, was subjected to an “extensive” investigation by Ohio government officials. Obama supporting government officials authorized multiple intrusions into confidential databases in their pursuit of the presumptuous Ohio plumber who unlike Obama is not running for president.

We doubt that Obama’s aunt will be subjected to the same scrutiny that Joe – The Plumber has been subjected to even though it is very possible that Obama’s aunt is an illegal immigrant who has possibly made an illegal campaign contribution. The aunt is not talking:

Aunt Zeituni is now also living in Boston, and recently made a $260 campaign contribution to her nephew’s presidential bid from a work address in the city.

Speaking outside her home in Flaherty Way, South Boston, on Tuesday, Ms Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni” in Mr Obama’s memoir. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

Imagine that, an impoverished aunt, who makes a $260 campaign contribution to her nephew’s presidential bid from a work address in the city but does not bother to register to vote.

The Times could not determine their immigration status and an official at Boston City Hall said that Ms Onyango was a resident of Flaherty Way but not registered to vote on the electoral roll. However, that Ms Onyango made a contribution to the Obama campaign would indicate that she is a US citizen. Records at the Boston City Hall confirmed Zeituni Onyango’s birthdate as May 29, 1952.

Now we certainly do not wish the admirable Obama aunt to be hounded and persecuted the way Joe – The Plumber was. We certainly are not condemning an aunt who wishes to donate dollars she does not have to spare to a nephew that has been anything but decent. But is there any doubt that the story of the aunt and uncle, let alone the Obama (Barack) brother living in squalor and poverty in Kenya says a great deal about Obama and his family and societal values?

In his memoir Mr Obama describes the joy of meeting his father’s family during his first visit to Kenya in 1988. [snip] At one point in the book a half-sister tells Mr Obama that people “like our Uncle Omar, in Boston” move to the West.

“They promise to return after completing school. They say they’ll send for the family once they get settled. At first they write once a week. Then it’s just a month. Then they stop writing completely. No one sees them again.”

Obama exploited his family by writing about them and making himself appear grand in his book, only to abandon his family as soon as they became a burden. Even today, the Obama campaign was repeatedly approached by the London Times for a comment about his long lost aunt and uncle but neither Obama nor the Obama campaign “responded”. Obama did visit his granny the other day, not when she was in the hospital, and certainly not when he labeled her a racist, but the other day, when it was a convenient memory to exploit in his quest for the presidency.

“What is family?” he reflects. “Is it just a genetic chain, parents and offspring, people like me?”

For Obama, family is just a temporary thing. For Obama, friends are just a temporary thing. For Obama, constituents are just a temporary thing. Then, Obama never sees them again.

Last night, as Obama’s aunt read about herself in the London Times, Obama was on television boring the nation with a massive half hour ad buy. Obama made a great many promises he can’t be trusted to keep. John McCain responded to the Obama huckster infomercial:

“When you’re watching this gauzy, feel-good commercial, just remember that it was paid for with broken promises. Senator Obama signed a piece of paper committing to public financing of his campaign. Twice he looked the American people in the eye and said he would sit down with me before he abandoned public financing. He didn’t mean a word of it. When it was in his interest to break his promise, he tossed it aside like it didn’t mean a thing. He is the first candidate since Watergate to abandon the public financing system, and his campaign is now being flooded with hundreds of millions of dollars in undisclosed and questionable donations. His campaign has directly profited from his broken promise and because of that, the American people have to ask: what does the broken promise behind tonight’s infomercial say about the value of his other commitments?

As we have written repeatedly, Obama cannot be trusted. Obama’s word and his many flowery words mean nothing. Obama’s family knows that Obama is not there when you need him. Obama will take their money and run.

Obama’s constituents had the same experience as the Obama aunt and uncle. While Obama’s constituents froze in Rezko tenements, Obama raked in the cash. Obama’s constituents froze but Obama obtained a lovely Rezko-assisted financing mansion with lovely mahogony fireplaces to warm Michelle’s toes.

Today, finally, an ethics complaint was filed in the Senate calling for an investigation of the Rezko-assisted financing mansion Obama calls home. The ethics complaint invokes Alaska Senator Ted Stevens’ own dishonest personal disclosure forms which convicted Stevens earlier this week.

The complaint, submitted by the American Conservative Union, alleges that Obama received and failed to report gifts from Antoin “Tony” Rezko, a Chicago developer and onetime Obama political benefactor who has since been convicted of federal fraud and money-laundering, crimes in a pair of land deals involving adjacent properties purchased by Obama and Rezko’s wife, Rita Rezko. [snip]

The ACU complaint charges that Obama was the recipient of an “impermissible gift” when Rita Rezko’s purchase of the vacant lot facilitated Obama’s purchase of his home and claimed Obama returned the favor by overpaying her for the strip of land. A civil suit filed in Illinois earlier this month against Mutual Bank Corporation alleges that a bank appraiser, who found an initial appraisal of the Rezko property was overstated by at least $125,000, was later improperly fired.

We have been urging the filing of a Senate Ethics Complaint for a long time. This past July we wrote:

When will the Senate Ethics Committee investigate convicted corrupt slumlord Antoin “Tony” Rezko’s good friend and house strolling buddy – Barack Obama?

While many blogs and news reports document the seemingly endless Obama policy flip-flop-flim-flams, Big Pink continues to probe the Chicago Culture of Corruption surrounding Barack Obama.

Many do not understand that the central issue today is “Who is Barack Obama?” Corrupt slumlord and friend of Barack Obama for more than 20 years, Tony Rezko, is the key to answering that question.

Obama emits flowery words about change. The only change that Obama cares about is the jangling coins of real big change going into his grasping pockets.

The complaint filed with the Senate Ethics Committee unfortunately is late in the day. Ordinarly, the last week before the election is not the time we find out much about a candidate. The memorable exception was in the 2000 election when Americans found out that George W. Bush had once been detained for drunk driving. For eight years Americans have been subjected to more Bush drunk driving.

This last week before the election we continue to uncover unpleasant portions of the Obama true history. Videotapes are being withheld by Big Media although the tapes would help explain Obama. Obama family members sprout like mushrooms after a rain proving how little we know about Obama.

We do know that all the promises in all the infomercials in the world don’t mean as much as what a person has actually done. With the latest discovery of Obama’s aunt and uncle we are learning a bit more about Obama’s family values – they are Halloween Family Values.

L.A. Times And Obama Bin Hidin’

For more than 2 years Barack Obama has fought alongside Big Media to suppress information of his many unsavory associations.

Big Media organizations charge “racism” alongside the Obama campaign if a black face of a creepy Obama associate is shown. Big Media organizations charge “racism” alongside the Obama campaign if a white face of a creepy Obama associate is shown. Yesterday Politico admitted that negative attacks that in a normal campaign would be commonplace in this year would carry an out-of-bounds racial subtext.

Historically, most people read NEWSpapers to read the NEWS, not opinion. News organizations are strong when they report news. News organizations weaken when they become propaganda sheets. During World War II the BBC World Service was believed and trusted by all sides of the conflict because the BBC delivered reliable news.

In the past few decades American news organizations have moved towards becoming entertainment outlets and only pretending to be news gathering and news disemination operations. In 2000 Big Media trashed Al Gore and skewed the coverage to hurt Al Gore. This election cycle Big Media became an adjunct of the unqualified Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and has done everything possible to trash Obama opponents and praise and promote and worship Obama.

Because Big Media “news” organizations have become Obama shill operations, not news gathering and reporting operations, Americans no longer value Big Media “news” operations. Americans continue to read Big Media, but less and less believe there is any value worth actually paying for when consuming Big Media “news“.

Today, the New York Times posted it’s own eulogy:

It’s been an especially rotten few days for people who type on deadline. On Tuesday, The Christian Science Monitor announced that, after a century, it would cease publishing a weekday paper. Time Inc., the Olympian home of Time magazine, Fortune, People and Sports Illustrated, announced that it was cutting 600 jobs and reorganizing its staff. And Gannett, the largest newspaper publisher in the country, compounded the grimness by announcing it was laying off 10 percent of its work force — up to 3,000 people.

Clearly, the sky is falling. The question now is how many people will be left to cover it.

It goes on. The day before, the Tribune Company had declared that it would reduce the newsroom of The Los Angeles Times by 75 more people, leaving it approximately half the size it was just seven years ago.

The Star-Ledger of Newark, the 15th-largest paper in the country, which was threatened with closing, will apparently survive, but only after it was announced that the editorial staff would be reduced by 40 percent. [snip]

More than 90 percent of the newspaper industry’s revenue still derives from the print product, a legacy technology that attracts fewer consumers and advertisers every single day. A single newspaper ad might cost many thousands of dollars while an online ad might only bring in $20 for each 1,000 customers who see it.

The difference between print dollars and digital dimes — or sometimes pennies — is being taken out of the newsrooms that supply both. And while it is indeed tough all over in this economy, consider the consequences. [snip]

The Los Angeles Times, which toils under Hollywood’s nose, has one movie reviewer left on staff. And dozens of communities served by Gannett will have fewer reporters and editors overseeing the deeds and misdeeds of local government and businesses. [snip]

At the recent American Magazine Conference, one of the speakers worried that if the great brands of journalism — the trusted news sources readers have relied on — were to vanish, then the Web itself would quickly become a “cesspool” of useless information. That kind of hand-wringing is a staple of industry gatherings.

The lesson for Big Media is that consumers will pay for news, not cesspool propaganda. Citizens want news organizations to investigate and provide information on “the deeds and misdeeds of local government and businesses” but fairness is also required. No one will pay for Big Media product that goes through the garbage of Governor Sarah Palin and Joe – The Plumber but provides Barack Obama immunity from investigation.

The New York Times and Big Media tried to deny its readers information in order to protect “sources” such as “Scooter” Libby and other high Bush administration officials along with reporter Judith Miller when Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald investigated a national security matter. The protection of sources excuse eventually fell apart.

Today Governor Palin said “If there’s a Pulitzer prize category for excellence in kowtowing, the L.A. Times wins“. Governor Palin was referring to the latest Big Media protection of Barack Obama.

John McCain’s presidential campaign Tuesday accused the Los Angeles Times of “intentionally suppressing” a videotape it obtained of a 2003 banquet where then-state Sen. Barack Obama spoke of his friendship with Rashid Khalidi, a leading Palestinian scholar and activist.

The Times first reported on the videotape in an April 2008 story about Obama’s ties with Palestinians and Jews as he navigated the politics of Chicago. The report included a detailed description of the tape, but the newspaper did not make the video public.

A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi,” said McCain campaign spokesman Michael Goldfarb. ” . . . The election is one week away, and it’s unfortunate that the press so obviously favors Barack Obama that this campaign must publicly request that the Los Angeles Times do its job — make information public.”

The L.A. Times is engaging in news suppression not news dissemination.

But there’s a video out there of Obama saying kind things about Khalidi, and on the general principle that information in an open society shouldn’t be kept secret and that the voters should make up their own minds about whether or not they trust certain candidates, this video should be set free. But a pro-censorship organization called the Los Angeles Times, which has the tape in its possession, is hiding it, for reasons it won’t fully explain. And it’s looking more and more ridiculous each passing day.

I understand that the tape was leaked to the Times by a source or sources unknown, and that an agreement was struck with that source to keep the tape hidden, but the tape has been described in a Times story already, and it quite obviously contains no state secrets. I also suspect that the tape could be posted in such a way as to obscure its origins. The Times, however, won’t discuss in detail why it’s keeping the tape from its readers, and the newspaper’s “readers’ representative,” Jamie Gold, has lined up against the readers, and argued against the release of the tape.

The Jeremiah Wright tapes are effectively banned on national television and now the Rashid Khalidi tape is suppressed.

Big Media is worried about their tool Barack. Big Media knows that the Jeremiah Wright tape had a negative impact with voters. Big Media knows that Obama’s “bitter” and “cling” tape had a negative impact with voters. Big Media is helping Obama hide the latest negative impact tape which shows who Obama really is.

The original L.A. Times story cast doubt on Obama’s public statements in support of Israel and private feelings by Khalidi and some Palestinian American leaders believing that Obama is more receptive to their viewpoint than he is willing to say.

Their belief is not drawn from Obama’s speeches or campaign literature, but from comments that some say Obama made in private and from his association with the Palestinian American community in his hometown of Chicago, including his presence at events where anger at Israeli and U.S. Middle East policy was freely expressed.

At Khalidi’s 2003 farewell party, for example, a young Palestinian American recited a poem accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticizing U.S. support of Israel. If Palestinians cannot secure their own land, she said, “then you will never see a day of peace.”

One speaker likened “Zionist settlers on the West Bank” to Osama bin Laden, saying both had been “blinded by ideology.”

Obama adopted a different tone in his comments and called for finding common ground. But his presence at such events, as he worked to build a political base in Chicago, has led some Palestinian leaders to believe that he might deal differently with the Middle East than either of his opponents for the White House.[snip]

Last year, for example, Obama was quoted saying that “nobody’s suffering more than the Palestinian people.” The candidate later said the remark had been taken out of context, and that he meant that the Palestinians were suffering “from the failure of the Palestinian leadership [in Gaza] to recognize Israel” and to renounce violence. [snip]

Nationally, Obama continues to face skepticism from some Jewish leaders who are wary of his long association with his pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., who had made racially incendiary comments during several sermons that recently became widely known. Questions have persisted about Wright in part because of the recent revelation that his church bulletin reprinted a Times op-ed written by a leader of Hamas.

One Jewish leader said he viewed Obama’s outreach to Palestinian activists, such as Said, in the light of his relationship to Wright.

“In the context of spending 20 years in a church where now it is clear the anti-Israel rhetoric was there, was repeated, . . . that’s what makes his presence at an Arab American event with a Said a greater concern,” said Abraham H. Foxman, national director for the Anti-Defamation League.

American voters need information not protection of a candidate.

Joe Biden has already warned America that Obama make unpopular decisions as president and that it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

Yesterday Politico admitted that most reporters find Obama a distant and undefined figure.

The Khalidi tape being suppressed by the Obama endorsing L.A. Times can help define Obama – that is what Big Media and Barack Obama are most afraid of.

Big Media Obama Bias

Big Media bias that trashed Al Gore in 2000 and praised George W. Bush was damnable. Big Media pro-war bias for the Iraq war was as damnable in 2002 as it was during the days of William Randolph Hearst.

PINOs and Dimocrats who celebrate the fierce pro-Obama Big Media bias enhance Big Media power and will shortly regret this alliance.

In the last week before the election even Big Media correspondents are discussing Big Media pro-Obama bias.

John King, CNN’s chief political correspondent, on Big Media bias in the presidential campaign:

“I think there’s some very legitimate criticism that we did not treat all of the candidates in the Democratic race, but particularly the top two or three equally, because of the Clinton obsession in the national media,” King told host Mark Quinn. “It is a very fair point. We need to learn that lesson.” [snip]

“Once you move on from there – I do think that some of the criticism is justified.

Of course what John King is not being honest about is that the Big Media obsession with Hillary was to attack Hillary. The Big Media obsession with Barack Obama was to promote Obama. Further, the attacks on Hillary and the worship of Obama were not happenstance – they were purposeful and celebrated.

Much more honest was ABC’s Michael Malone:

The traditional media are playing a very, very dangerous game — with their readers, with the Constitution and with their own fates.

The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewildering, but appalling. [snip]

Now, of course, there’s always been bias in the media. Human beings are biased, so the work they do, including reporting, is inevitably colored. Hell, I can show you 10 different ways to color variations of the word “said” — muttered, shouted, announced, reluctantly replied, responded, etc. — to influence the way a reader will apprehend exactly the same quote. We all learn that in Reporting 101, or at least in the first few weeks working in a newsroom.

But what we are also supposed to learn during that same apprenticeship is to recognize the dangerous power of that technique, and many others, and develop built-in alarms against them.

But even more important, we are also supposed to be taught that even though there is no such thing as pure, Platonic objectivity in reporting, we are to spend our careers struggling to approach that ideal as closely as possible.

That means constantly challenging our own prejudices, systematically presenting opposing views and never, ever burying stories that contradict our own world views or challenge people or institutions we admire. If we can’t achieve Olympian detachment, than at least we can recognize human frailty — especially in ourselves.

After discussing some of the techniques of Big Media bias, ABC’s Malone discusses the Big Media bias in this presidential election:

But nothing, nothing I’ve seen has matched the media bias on display in the current presidential campaign.

Republicans are justifiably foaming at the mouth over the sheer one-sidedness of the press coverage of the two candidates and their running mates. But in the last few days, even Democrats, who have been gloating over the pass — no, make that shameless support — they’ve gotten from the press, are starting to get uncomfortable as they realize that no one wins in the long run when we don’t have a free and fair press. [snip]

No, what I object to (and I think most other Americans do as well) is the lack of equivalent hardball coverage of the other side — or worse, actively serving as attack dogs for the presidential ticket of Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Joe Biden, D-Del.

If the current polls are correct, we are about to elect as president of the United States a man who is essentially a cipher, who has left almost no paper trail, seems to have few friends (that at least will talk) and has entire years missing out of his biography.

That isn’t Sen. Obama’s fault: His job is to put his best face forward. No, it is the traditional media’s fault, for it alone (unlike the alternative media) has had the resources to cover this story properly, and has systematically refused to do so.

Why, for example to quote the lawyer for Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., haven’t we seen an interview with Sen. Obama’s grad school drug dealer — when we know all about Mrs. McCain’s addiction? Are Bill Ayers and Tony Rezko that hard to interview? All those phony voter registrations that hard to scrutinize? And why are Sen. Biden’s endless gaffes almost always covered up, or rationalized, by the traditional media?

Malone addresses the issue that other Big Media correspondents willfully ignore: Big Media is actively assisting Obama and actively tearing down Obama opponents.

Smart progressives understand that what Big Media giveth, Big Media can take away. Many Dimocrats are happy today that the Big Media bias was in their favor in the general election and that Big Media bias fostered attacks on Hillary during the primaries and promoted Obama during the primaries. These Dimocrats will have no one to blame but themselves when Big Media inevitably turns against them.

In Hollywood, some smart progressives are beginning to understand that Big Media bias is dangerous no matter who it temporarily favors. In Hollywood, land of the dream merchants, they understand how bad things are with Dimocrat broadcasters:

In a room full of television industry executives, no one seemed inclined to defend MSNBC on Monday for what some were calling its lopsidedly liberal coverage of the presidential election.

The cable news channel is “completely out of control,” said writer-producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason, a self-proclaimed liberal Democrat.

She added that she would prefer a lunch date with right-leaning Fox News star Sean Hannity over left-leaning MSNBC star Keith Olbermann.

Olbermann was criticized by many who attended Monday’s luncheon sponsored by the Caucus for Producers, Writers & Directors at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The event was dubbed “Hollywood, America and Election ’08.”

Bloodworth-Thomason and others seemed especially critical of the way MSNBC — and other media — has attacked Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin while demeaning her supporters.

“We should stop the demonizing,” she said, adding that Democrats have been worse than Republicans as far as personal attacks on candidates are concerned. “It diminishes us,” she said of her fellow Democrats. She stressed, though, that its Palin’s small-town American roots she wishes to defend and not her politics or policies.

Hillary friend Linda Bloodworth-Thomason is to be commended for bravely saying the obvious in this ugly political climate created by Dimocrats. Bloodworth-Thomason knows that Governor Palin has been savaged in the same way Hillary was savaged and she is speaking out against the unwarranted hate directed at Governor Palin.

Attendee Michael Reagan, the radio talk-show host and son of President Ronald Reagan, said he no longer will appear as a guest on MSNBC because “I actually get death threats.”

Hollywood might be getting sobered up about the dangerous implications of the Big Media bias but at Politico they are still drunk on Obama Kool-aid. In an article written by John Harris and Jim Vandehei, the once worthy journalists defend Big Media bias while attacking readers who object (like John Harris’ mom).

And get a load of this one, from someone in Rochester, N.Y., who did not like our analysis of the final presidential debate. “You guys are awfully tough on McCain. There may be some legitimacy to the claim of press bias. Mom.”

We were all set to dismiss Harris’ mother as a crank. Same for VandeHei’s: a conservative dismayed by what she sees as kid-glove treatment of Barack Obama. Then along came a study — funded by the prestigious Pew Research Center, no less — suggesting at first blush, at least, that they may be on to something.

The Project for Excellence in Journalism’s researchers found that John McCain, over the six weeks since the Republican convention, got four times as many negative stories as positive ones. The study found six out of 10 McCain stories were negative.

What’s more, Obama had more than twice as many positive stories (36 percent) as McCain — and just half the percentage of negative (29 percent).[snip]

OK, let’s just get this over with: Yes, in the closing weeks of this election, John McCain and Sarah Palin are getting hosed in the press, and at Politico.

Instead of shame, Harris and Vandehei are gleeful that McCain is “getting hosed”. The article is an embarrassment. It is confused and contradictory. The entire defense appears to be that Big Media bias is not ideological although that contention is contradicted by the admission that McCain has moved closer to the right wing and that move has irked reporters.

The Harris/Vandehei argument is that the pro-Obama bias of Big Media is not ideological but to believe that the definition of “ideological” has to be so narrow as to make it meaningless. Harris/Vandehei admit that “Obama will win the votes of probably 80 percent or more of journalists covering the 2008 election“, but they don’t say why nor how in this election Big Media has been “in your face” in support of Obama.

Then there is this startling paragraph:

It is not our impression that many reporters are rooting for Obama personally. To the contrary, most colleagues on the trail we’ve spoken with seem to find him a distant and undefined figure. But he has benefited from the idea that negative attacks that in a normal campaign would be commonplace in this year would carry an out-of-bounds racial subtext. That’s why Obama’s long association with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright was basically a nonissue in the general election.

Journalists’ hair-trigger racial sensitivity may have been misplaced, but it was not driven by an ideological tilt.

What can a sensible reader make of such nonsense? If one thinks Obama is an opportunistic flim-flam man who only works to benefit himself and who exploits race and charges of racism to advance himself that is somehow out of bounds. Protecting a candidate on the basis of race is not troublesome to Harris and Vandehei – thus racism is redefined as not ideological in the same way that opportunism is not viewed as ideological.

Harris and Vandehei claim most reporters view Obama as “distant and undefined”. Big Media reporters are the ones watching Obama from the nearest proximity. If Obama is “undefined” in the eyes of Big Media reporters, then they have not done their job.

It was always in Barack Obama’s benefit to remain undefined. John McCain and only John McCain has seven days left to define Obama because Big Media won’t do what is supposed to be its job.

Happy Birthday Hillary!

Happy Birthday Hillary Clinton!

Thanks so much Hillary for your lifetime commitment to better this country and the world. We do appreciate and love you for your dedication and hard work.

Dear Hillary, as you know this is and will always be a Hillary support site.

But many do not understand that the respect and love we have for you does not translate to blind obediance and cult devotion. We can admire and respect and love you as well as disagree with you on on some issues. When you make a mistake we continue to admire and respect and love you. When you frequently say and do the right thing we enjoy applauding you.

We all should confess that much of our feelings towards you are due to a healthy, not ugly, self-interest. You see, your vision for America benefits us. We agree with your vision for America – an inclusive progressive America. We agree with you that the country is in desperate need of Universal health care along with economic responsibility and accountability as well as a return to a strong and diplomatic American foreign policy. We disagree with your “responsibilty gene” conclusion that Barack Obama is the way to get to that America.

In a way Hillary, you can say we agree as to the destination but not the mode of transport.

We also agree with you that the Dimocratic Party should return to the principles of the Democratic Party of FDR. We want an inclusive party not a cult that discriminates and rigs the rules. We want a Democratic Party that fights for voter rights not a Dimocratic Party that disenfranchises states and engages in misogyny.

It’s been a crazy past year. Having supported you Hillary, we have been called “racists” and other epithets. The abuse we used to get from Republicans we now see heaped on Democrats who supported you, Hillary.

The Big Media lies that we hoped Big Blogs would counteract are instead amplified by Big Blogs. Big Blogs and Dimocrats who sold their souls to benefit themselves and their boob candidate will soon learn that if you live by Big Media you will die by Big Media.

Right Wing media outlets we used to revile are now, as Governor Rendell and Lanny Davis have said, Fair and Balanced compared to Big Blogs and Big Media.

It’s all been a very eventful year in your very event filled life, Hillary.

You will continue to have many more eventful years and your influence on events will grow.

Thanks, Hillary.

Happy Birthday!

Beware Of Barack

The John McCain campaign is broadcasting a good advertisment regarding Joe Biden’s Beware of Barack remarks.

Obama is trying to bury the Beware of Barack Biden warning with a glib falsehood that Biden would issue the same warning about President John McCain also vulnerable to a “test” by international opponents. What Obama does not address (which we focused on immediately after hearing Biden) is that Biden also stated that Obama would make decisions as president that would not be popular with Obama supporters. We called it the future “stab in the back” consistent with Obama’s behavior all his life.

Biden warned in his Beware of Barack speech that Obama’s decisions would not be popular nor would Obama’s decisions be viewed as wise by Obama supporters Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

The full Biden Beware of Barack speech is a chilling and rather specific scenario of events that Biden, but not most Americans, are privy to.

Biden’s Beware of Barack speech is very like Biden’s assessment of Barack Obama during the primaries.

America, you have been warned: Beware of Barack.

Pennsylvania And The Good Ol’ USA

Yawn… Another shocker… Yawn.

It’s difficult for Big Media to “shock” Big Pink because we know Big Media is not to be believed as Big Media pushes narratives written by Big Media tool Barack Obama. We recall the New Hampshire primary when most polls showed Obama with a big lead but one dissenting poll had Hillary very very close to winning – Hillary won.

So… yawn… the latest Associated Press poll:

An Associated Press-GfK poll shows the presidential race tightened after the final debate, with John McCain gaining among whites and people earning less than $50,000. Two weeks before the election, McCain and Barack Obama are essentially running even among likely voters.

The poll put Obama at 44 percent and McCain at 43 percent among those voters who are considered likely to vote on Nov. 4. The survey supports what some Republicans and Democrats privately have said in recent days: that the race has narrowed as Republicans drift home to their party. McCain’s “Joe the plumber” analogy also seemed to strike a chord.

The race is still volatile. Three weeks ago, an AP-GfK survey found that Obama had a seven-point lead over McCain.

It’s not only AP. TIPP (TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence claims that in 2004 it was 3/10 of 1% points within President Bush’s margin of “victory”) also has the presidential race fairly tight today.

Contrary to other polls, some of which show Obama ahead by double digits, the IBD/TIPP Poll shows a sudden tightening of Obama’s lead to 3.7 from 6.0. McCain has picked up 3 points in the West and with independents, married women and those with some college. He¹s also gaining momentum in the suburbs, where he’s gone from dead even a week ago to a 20-point lead. Obama padded gains in urban areas and with lower-class households, but he slipped 4 points with parents.

McCain gaining in the important suburbs and “No Sale” Obama even as Democrats admit Big Media is protecting Big Media tool Barack Obama.

But no one imagined even in a worse-case scenario such a spectacular bomb as telling donors Sunday to “gird your loins” because a young president Obama will be tested by an international crisis just like young President John Kennedy was.

Scary? You betcha! But somehow, not front-page news.

Again the media showed their incredible bias by giving scattered coverage of Biden’s statements.

As “No Sale” is stamped on Obama nationally, Big Media continues to trash John McCain. The latest study by The Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, (2,412 stories from 43 newspapers and cable news shows) immediately after the party conventions tallys 60 percent of Big Media articles on McCain were negative with only 14 percent positive.

Earlier this week Big Media spent a few days mocking John McCain for even campaigning in Pennsylvania. Today a more reasoned analysis was published regarding the state of the race in Pennsylvania and why McCain should continue to campaign in that “blue” state”.

Facing seemingly limited options for getting to an Electoral College majority, John McCain’s path to victory likely runs through Pennsylvania, a state that no Republican presidential candidate has won in two decades, where he trails in the polls by a wide margin and where in the past year over a half-million new Democrats have been added to the voter registration rolls.

It’s an unenviable position to be in, except for one thing: Nearly everyone in a position to know thinks the race for Pennsylvania’s 21 electoral votes is considerably tighter than what recent polls reveal.

Blue state Pennsylvania is tight?

“I don’t believe there’s a double-digit lead,” said Jon Delano, a western Pennsylvania-based political analyst who also serves as an adjunct professor of Public Policy and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University. “The history of the presidential elections here is different.”

Even top Democrats concede that McCain’s deficit in the polls—11 percentage points, according to the latest RealClearPolitics polling average—isn’t a solid indicator of his chances of carrying the state. On Tuesday, CNN reported that an anxious Rendell has sent two recent memos to the Obama campaign requesting that the Democratic nominee spend more time campaigning in Pennsylvania.

“The polls don’t necessarily reflect what will happen on Election Day,” said T.J. Rooney, the state Democratic Party chairman. “We’re not a state that’s accustomed to huge blowouts.”

Can McCain win Pennsylvania? He can if he follows the Hillary Clinton strategy.

Rather, the GOP path to victory runs through the socially conservative parts of the state outside the Philadelphia metropolitan region, and bears a strong resemblance to Hillary Clinton’s winning Democratic primary map.

“How do you flip 140,000 votes? You start by cutting in places like Lackawanna and Luzerne counties,” said the McCain campaign source, referring to Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, the traditionally conservative Democratic population hubs of northeastern Pennsylvania. [snip]

“Winning Philadelphia is not enough for a done deal,” said Delano. “Whether it’s Scranton, Erie, Altoona, Johnstown or the Pittsburgh area, this is a big state. What McCain is counting on is that a lot of Democrats who voted once against Barack Obama in the primary will vote against him again.”

Hillary Clinton Democrats are the key to a McCain win:

Western Pennsylvania, many pols believe, seems to hold the most promise for the McCain campaign. McCain expects to run better than Bush in Pittsburgh’s Allegheny County—which Kerry carried by 97,000 votes in 2004—and in southwestern Pennsylvania, where Obama lost to Clinton by landslide margins.

“Democrats who do well in areas like Johnstown, Wilkes-Barre and Pittsburgh are pro-life, pro-gun Democrats like Bob Casey. The Democrats who seem to do poorly in those areas tend to be pro-choice and questionable on guns,” said Brabender. “I think people are going to be shocked by how well McCain is going to do on the western side and in the center part of the state.”

Hillary Clinton Democrats are the key to a McCain win.

The wily Governor of Pennsylvania Ed Rendell is worried.

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell has written two separate memos to the Obama campaign in recent days begging for Sen. Obama to come back and campaign in his state. In the memos, Rendell, a former Hillary Clinton supporter, admits to being “a little nervous” about Obama’s chances in the Keystone state. Rendell says that the McCain camp is making a strong push for Pennsylvania, with Sen. McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin spending significant time and resources there recently.

Rendell wants Sen. Obama to return to his state and make three appearances to blunt McCain’s momentum. He recommends a visit to what Rep. Jack Murtha (D-PA) labeled “racist” Western Pennsylvania, followed by an appearance in the capital of Harrisburg and a “large rally” in Philadelphia. But Obama’s presence alone will not seal the deal, according to Rendell. So he wants the Obama campaign to bring Sen. Clinton and former president Clinton along with him, presumably to smooth things over with Pennsylvania’s small townspeople, whom Obama once derided as “bitter” gun-loving religious zealots.

The Obama campaign has been nervous about Pennsylvania since Clinton trounced Obama by 10 points in the primary there. The selection of Joe Biden as his running mate was as much about Biden’s Scranton roots as it was about his foreign policy experience. And the campaign has good reason to worry. Obama’s own internal polling shows him with only a two-point lead in the state. It’s probably closer than that given that internal polls are notoriously skewed toward the campaign conducing them. If Obama follows Rendell’s advice and makes an emergency swing through Pennsylvania, it will be more telling of Sen. McCain’s chances in the election than any public poll result.

Governor Ed Rendell is no fool. Rendell is nervous for good reason – Pennsylvanians, like most Americans, don’t like to be called “racists“.

Only after the humiliating loss in the Pennsylvania primary did the Obama campaign confessed to problems for arugula Obama in Pennsylvania.

If someone in SF asks you about those “strange rural people in PA”…don’t indulge their liberal, latte drinking bull shit…Just tell them if they want to understand rural and ethnic PA that they should get in the Prius’s and drive down to Bakersfield or any of the other mid state towns in California where there are people who actually lead ordinary lives and care about God and own guns…. [snip]

Bittergate hurt a lot – bc is slowed down and then with the poor debate performance stopped what was truly real closing momentum. [snip]

… we’ve just got to find a way to reach seniors…. [snip]

Working class PA folks, esp those over 45, don’t trust Obama…this is a problem and other than getting them to meet Obama retail style…don’t know how we solve it, unless we can get him to do a quick tour of duty in Iraq…

Now, the problems are leaking out in advance of voting. Obama is ahead in Pennsylvania by only 2% according to private polls conducted for the Obama campaign and leaked to radio talk show host Steve Corbett.

Big Media is working with the Obama campaign to bamboozle Americans.

Americans and the voters of Pennsylvania continue to resist Obama and Big Media.

The bamboozlement continues.

The fight continues. Never give up. NObama. NOvember.

The Obama/Biden Game Show

Yup. It’s Jeopardy! with Barack and Joe.

Madeleine Albright agrees it’s Jeopardy! with Barack and Joe.

Jeopardy! with Barack Obama: :

Joe Biden warned that America’s enemies would test Barack Obama with an international crisis within six months if he’s elected president – a shocking comment John McCain eagerly pounced on yesterday to claim Obama isn’t ready to be commander-in-chief. [snip]

“And he’s going to need help . . . to stand with him. Because it’s not going to be apparent initially; it’s not going to be apparent that we’re right.” [snip]

“The next president won’t have time to get used to the office. We face many challenges here at home and many enemies abroad in this dangerous world,” McCain said. “We don’t want a president who invites ‘testing’ from the world at a time when our economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting two wars.”

McCain said it was even “more troubling” that Biden suggested supporters stick by Obama if the actions he takes are wrong or unpopular.

Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during this campaign,” he said.

McCain ally Rudy Giuliani also piled on.

“It has to mean that Joe Biden continues to harbor serious doubts about whether Barack Obama is prepared to be commander in chief,” Giuliani said.

Hillary was right when she warned Americans that Obama is NOT ready.

The Columbus Dispatch is warning Ohio voters not to play Jeopardy! with Obama. “McCain/Palin to block.”

For president of the United States, The Dispatch endorses Republican Sen. John McCain, whose experience, service and sacrifice for his country make him more qualified to lead the nation.

McCain’s Democratic opponent, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, is a rousing motivational speaker, but his experience and achievements — eight years in the Illinois Legislature and less than four in the U.S. Senate — do not stand comparison with McCain’s.

A resume containing so little evidence of leadership and accomplishment leaves in question Obama’s ability to handle the most responsible and difficult job in the world, especially at a time when the nation faces a combination of problems so large and complex that they would challenge even the most seasoned leader.

Nor does it seem likely that a man who has traveled in the left lane of American politics for his entire adult life really is the bipartisan centrist that he claims to be. And with Democrats already in control of the U.S. House and Senate — and the possibility that they might gain a filibuster-proof majority in the next Senate — there would be little to check the inevitable excesses of one-party rule if a Democrat wins the White House.[snip]

At a time when the nation faces serious problems, including international economic turmoil, immigration, health care, war in Afghanistan, nation-building in Iraq and foreign-policy challenges from the Middle East, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela, the president should have an extensive resume and long experience in grappling with tough decisions. Few new presidents have faced an assignment as tough as the one facing the winner of the November election.

From 5 1/2 years as a POW in North Vietnam, where he endured torture, through 25 years in the U.S. House and Senate, McCain has demonstrated the grit, energy and determination that the present challenges demand.

The choice is between a candidate who has been tested to a degree experienced by few and a candidate who is untested. In Obama, Americans are presented with a question mark.

Americans won’t play Jeopardy! with Barack Obama. It’s a losing game.

Joe Biden Warns America Against Barack Obama

Joe Biden committed the crime of truth yesterday. Joe Biden (not Joe – The Plumber), yes Joe Biden unwittingly said what we have been saying for a long time.

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

Yesterday Joe Biden warned Obama’s strongest supporters to prepare themselves for a stab in the back by Barack.

Joe – The Banker’s Biden, warned Barack Obama donors that Obama as president would make decisions that would test their loyalty to Obama. Obama decisions, according to Biden, would possibly be “unpopular” and Obama would require the donors to stick by Obama and possibly come to his rescue.

Joe Biden is already predicting disaster:

ABC News’ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

Will Obama attack Pakistan? Will Obama do something so foolish in the Middle East the whole region will blow up? Will Obama capitulate to Russia or will Obama goad Russia? The question is no longer would Obama mean disaster. The question according to Joe Biden is which Obama disaster?

Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Already Joe Biden is aware that Obama will be another disaster like George W. Bush. Joe Biden believes the disaster will be singular. But suppose the disaster is the Middle East AND Russia AND North Korea AND China. Whatever the disaster or disasters Joe Biden is channeling George W. Bush by calling for loyalty to Obama. According to Joe Biden it’s not gonna be apparent initially that Obama is right. But like with George W. Bush, loyalty of the Secretary of State Colin Powell variety will be required.

Domestically, Obama will be a mess too.

Not only will the next administration have to deal with foreign affairs issues, Biden warned, but also with the current economic crisis.

Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd. “We’re gonna win with your help, God willing, we’re gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left with the most significant task. It’s like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy.”

Those donors had better watch out. They have just been warned their pockets will be picked clean.

Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama cannot be trusted by friend nor foe. Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama will be an unpopular disaster like George W. Bush. Joe Biden is telling Americans Obama will make decisions Americans will not like:

“I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you. I think I can be value added, but this guy has it,” the Senate Foreign Relations chairman said of Obama. “This guy has it. But he’s gonna need your help. Because I promise you, you all are gonna be sitting here a year from now going, ‘Oh my God, why are they there in the polls? Why is the polling so down? Why is this thing so tough?’ We’re gonna have to make some incredibly tough decisions in the first two years. So I’m asking you now, I’m asking you now, be prepared to stick with us. Remember the faith you had at this point because you’re going to have to reinforce us.”

There are gonna be a lot of you who want to go, ‘Whoa, wait a minute, yo, whoa, whoa, I don’t know about that decision’,” Biden continued. “Because if you think the decision is sound when they’re made, which I believe you will when they’re made, they’re not likely to be as popular as they are sound. Because if they’re popular, they’re probably not sound.”

Obama/Biden are already declaring war – on the American people. It won’t matter if the American people disagree with the Obama decisions. Obama is the third Bush term.

Yes, Obama might attack Pakistan and Obama might have a nuclear war problem:

Biden emphasized that the mountainous Afghanistan-Pakistan border is of particular concern, with Osama bin Laden “alive and well” and Pakistan “bristling with nuclear weapons.”

“You literally can see what these kids are up against, our kids in that region,” Biden said in recalling when his helicopter was forced down due to a snowstorm there. “The place is crawling with al Qaeda. And it’s real.”

We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes,” he cautioned. “It’s so much more important than that. It’s so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it.”

After speaking for just over a quarter of an hour, Biden noticed the media presence in the back of the small ballroom.

It does not inspire confidence in the ability of Obama/Biden to handle future disasters competently when Biden immediately realized how foolish he was in saying what he said.

“I probably shouldn’t have said all this because it dawned on me that the press is here,” he joked.

Joe Biden just warned America against the disaster(s) which is Barack Obama.

Carpenters And Plumbers Against Barack Obama

Contrary to the belief of Obama worshippers, the real Christian Messiah is not a fast-talking Chicago politician. The real Christian Messiah is an unlicensed carpenter.

For the McCain Campaign, the savior might be an unlicensed plumber. Michael Barone hints that The Plumber might be the McCain “gamechanger”:

Can Joe Wurzelbacher, Joe the Plumber from Ohio, change the course of this campaign? That’s one question that was raised at the third presidential debate. Wurzelbacher is the man who, in a moment caught on YouTube, confronts Barack Obama on his plan to raise taxes on people like him. Obama, sotto voce, replies that he wants to “spread the wealth around.” In the third consecutive week in which the headlines of the financial crisis have prompted both candidates to denounce “Wall Street greed,” the image of those whom Obama would tax higher was suddenly not an investment banker but a plumber. [snip]

In three debates, the spin artists go on, Obama has shown that he more than meets the minimal standards for the office, as Ronald Reagan did in the single debate in 1980, and in a year like that one, in which most voters want the in party out, that will be enough. But the 1980 debate was on the Thursday before the election, and the decisive swing came over the weekend. Voters took almost every minute they could. Will they take more time this year, and give some thought to Joe the Plumber?

Whether it is Americans recovering from the rapid and varied economic shocks of the past few weeks and/or Joe – The Plumber, the latest polls show the race is once again tightening. Gallup “Traditional” (a.k.a. a typical and traditional sample of Americans) and Gallup “Expanded” (a.k.a. the pro-Obama adjustment) have the race at 2% and 4%, respectively.

We suspect the savage attacks against average citizen Joe – The Plumber, for merely asking a question, by Obama and Biden personally, as well as attacks by Obama thugs on Big Blogs and Big Media are reminding voters of the “You’re likeable enough, Hillary” episode which revealed to many Americans the real nature of Barack Obama’s character.

John McCain, as we suggested, is defending Joe – The Plumber. John McCain says Barack Obama’s Out To Flush Joe The Plumber:

Forget Joe the Plumber. Now it’s Joe the Martyr.

That’s how John McCain made it sound Friday as he accused Democrats of smearing the nation’s most famous unlicensed plumber, Ohioan Joe Wurzelbacher.

The response from Sen. [Barack] Obama and his campaign yesterday was to attack Joe,” he said in Miami. “People are digging through his personal life, and he has TV crews camped out in front of his house.”

McCain made “Joe the Plumber” a talking point at the final debate because he gave Obama an earful of skepticism about the Democrat’s tax plans.

Since then, reporters and bloggers have reported Wurzelbacher lacks a plumbing license and has a $1,200 tax lien against him.

He didn’t ask for Sen. Obama to come to his house,” said McCain. “He wasn’t recruited or prompted by our campaign. He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Sen. Obama tough questions without being smeared.”

Obama’s No. 2 Joe Biden, appearing on Jay Leno’s show, also had zinged that he’s worried about “Joe the real plumber with a license.”

John McCain should keep on defending Joe – The Plumber for the next two weeks.

Barack Obama is about to find out that licensed or not, those carpenters and plumbers sure can cause a lot of trouble.
