I watched the CGI video with McCain and saw BC's intro of Obama (who can stomach watching Obama's speech?) and I posted here BC was gracious and supportive of Obama in his intro. Well, reading between the lines now, BC is a master. On the surface, it would appear as though he was praising Obama (because it was a Obama-friendly audience but...). Here goes: two main points BC made:

1) he praised Obama for asking this question that he said no one else had asked him in the last 16 years and he also said that he gave a long winded answer to which Obama patiently listened. Obama's question was (paraphrasing) why is America organized such that we can't do much about using its soft power. Sure good question, but look at the implication of what BC said that Obama did not contribute to the discussion and simply asked and listened to BC's answer. Well, if I am running a hopey-changey campaign for 2 years and made it my life's character wouldn't I be able to exchange my own views on this with some authority and contributing to the discussion instead of simply asking the question and listening?
2) BC next mentioned how Obama had consulted them on the financial crisis and asked their advice on what was the right thing to do. But BC repeated the way that was asked, I don't have the exact quote, and you can read crassness into it if nothing else but the significant thing is BC saying that Obama has started talking to Clinton's economic advisers. The implication being that again he is leaning on them and their advisers.

Obama wet behind the ears, is that what BC is telling us? Candidate x vs. candidate y?

How does one e-mail Bill Clinton? I think it’s time he heard from his and Hill’s supporters that they have to stop propping up someone as corrupt as BO.

Do they know about ACORN? Are they aware that the Dem leadership has been lying about the bailout and the bailout meeting? I want to know what is so urgent about getting a Dem president if they are loading a bailout with pork and not looking out for us.

freckles I don't know if it was posted on here but Bill was asked about all of that in one of those interviews he did last week and he squarely put the blame of the mess on the democrats in Congress. He said the republicans and he while he was president in 99 he too tried to put more regulations on fannie and freddie and the dems shot it down and wouldn't do it. There is tape floating around of Barney Frank in 05 saying that there is no crisis in freddie and franny, they are just fine, the repubs are crying regulation for nothing, and they shot it down again. And then all this happened. I haven't heard what he has thought about the proposal though or lying about the bailout meeting, but I wouldn't bet he would side with them. He sure hasn't been so far.

Obama has a very discipline paid staff and volunteer who stay on script. So those in the media who are in the tank and those who call into C-span and vote on online polls are there to effect perception...period.

If the best they can say is that Obama did no harm or he tied McCain that doesn't help Obama....now we see on Youtube that "me too"moment which shows Obama true self...no connect at all and Obama arrogance was very telling.

The TV Pundits gave Obama points for the Economy but said he lost Foreign Policy. McCain need to show his compassion for the voter...he need a "I feel your pain" moment in the economy. Like he did in the second half with his bracelet story.

I think McCain can win this if people think he "feels their pain."

I thought Mccain did great! after the way the media treated hillary, I watched the debate, and turned off the TV. I have my own mind and own opinion, and its free!
I don’t need some overgrown, overpaid puppets letting me what to think
------------------------------------------
Agreed.

I'm surprised with Washington state and the poll sample was with a 10% advantage for Obama.

Now I know why Fox's focus group of undecideds went for Obama, they were from Nevada which is going for Obama to begin with. Why have a focus group in a state that is pretty much decided? Do it in the battleground states.

This is interesting about California, Dem central

Independents, the most critical, coveted and arguably most dispassionate group of debate watchers, split. 43% say Obama is the clear winner, 37% say McCain is the clear winner, 20% say there was no clear winner.
