Stephanie’s Superdelegate Hillary Clinton Smile

Update: Our Obama V.P. pick HERE

—————————————————————————–
We lost the great Congresswoman and fighter Stephanie Tubbs-Jones yesterday.

We remember when Stephanie challenged the electoral college vote in the 2004 election cycle because she cared about the voters of Ohio and she knew something had gone dreadfully awry or been tampered with to defeat the intent of the voters of Ohio. Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs-Jones did what was right not caring if others in the electoral college would support her protest. Stephanie was a fighter. We love fighters.

We won’t eulogize Stephanie today. We’ll leave that tribute for a later day. The challenge for us today is to live up to the ideals of Stephanie Tubbs-Jones. The challenge for us today is to work extra hard to fill the void left by the great Congresswoman from Ohio.

Big Media is making a big whoop-te-do about the luggage being stowed on board the Obama Titanic. Fact is, the Obama Titanic is going under the waves. Obama will concede in August or in NOvember.

If the Democratic Party of Obama/Dean/Brazile/Pelois persists in its corruption and selects Obama at the Denver convention it will die. It will commit suicide. The Democratic Party will commit suicide.

Since early June we have received communications from the incense fogged Hopium dens. The language cloying, sickly sweet, always the same – Hillary will have to get Obama the white working class vote – Hillary will have to get Obama the women’s vote. At times the communications have stated that a woman governor as a vice presidential Obama running mate would destroy the NObama NOvember movement (this is how little the incense burners understand determined Hillary supporters). At all times the communications have been delusional.

Let’s be clear: It will either be Hillary nominated as the Democratic Party candidate in August – or NObama, NOvember. Is that clear enough?

The Obama Titanic will sail at dawn to meet its fate with the great iceberg, the Phantom Menace, the American voter.

It does not matter who Obama selects for vice president nor how much money Obama spends nor how many big rallies Obama organizes, nor how many flowery speeches Obama mouths. Obama is not electable.

Obama is not electable for a very simple reason – Obama is not qualified to be president of the United States.

Obama ran a race-baiting, and gay-bashing, and woman hating campaign. Obama was awarded delegates by a corrupt Democratic National Committee that the voters had denied Obama. Obama ran a campaign attacking core Democratic values. Obama attacked the record of the ONLY Democratic president elected to two terms, since the presidency of the great Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

We will never support Barack Obama. Hillary supporters will never vote for Barack Obama. The attacks on Hillary were attacks on us too, not just Hillary. We were demeaned and vilified as well as Hillary. We voted and supported Hillary because she has a lifetime of experience and is simply the best there is. It was not hero(ine) worship, nor was it a cult. We were utterly selfish – we voted and supported Hillary not to grace her with deserved honors but because she was the best – for us all.

Hillary supporters are not going to the back of the bus. We will not reward sexism and misogyny and the gang rape of an excellent woman candidate for the benefit of an unqualified younger man who flim-flams and charms the Party elites. NO. NObama. NOvember.

Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton:

“There are few words to express the shock we feel at this time. Our deepest condolences are with Stephanie’s son, Mervyn, her family, and her many loved ones, friends, and supporters.

Stephanie’s friendship meant the world to us, a friendship that deepened through every trial and challenge. We could always count on her to be a shoulder on which to lean, an ear to bend, a voice to reassure. Over the course of many years, with many ups and many downs, Stephanie was right by our side—unwavering, indefatigable.

It was that fighting spirit—safely stowed behind her disarming smile, backed by so much integrity and fiery intelligence—that allowed Stephanie to rise from modest beginnings, to succeed in public service, to become a one-woman force for progress in our country.

All of us who were lucky to know her and love her can only hope now to live like her—to be as passionate, loyal, hard charging, and joyful in life’s pursuits.

Stephanie was one of a kind. We will miss our friend always.”

After the Hillary victory in Ohio Stephanie Tubbs-Jones marched to Pennsylvania with a message for Pennsylvania voters: “Step-UP“. The voters of Pennsylvania listened and they stepped up to their responsibilities.

The Superdelegates had now better “Step-UP”. The Democratic Party is about to commit suicide and an “intervention” is needed if it is to be saved before destruction in NOvember.

Stephanie Tubbs-Jones spoke for us and for Hillary to the people of Pennsylvania. The people listened. Will the Superdelegates listen?

It’s not for Hillary’s sake the Superdelegates should listen to the Democratic grassroots. It’s for our sakes and their own survival that Superdelegates should nominate Hillary. We still think that:

If the Superdelegates do wake up to their pending destruction before next week’s vote in Denver it would serve them well if Hillary Clinton would walk away from them.

It would teach a great lesson to the authors (Dean/Brazile/Pelosi/Kennedy/Kerry) of the Obama atrocity if Hillary Clinton would refuse to rescue the Democratic Party as it becomes clearer and clearer they are on board the Titantic.

But the message from Stephanie Tubbs-Jones to the people of Pennsylvania still resonates within us. This is still time for a happy alternative to the mass suicide in Denver. There is still a smile left before the Denver atrocity.

Like Mona Lisa from the Louvre, Stephanie Tubbs-Jones is sending Superdelegates a Hillary Clinton Smile.

  1. No one knows you have a new article up.

Please someone draw my cartoon of O muscular running on a tread mill saying I AM THE ONE YOU HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR, and McCain as a turtle on a skate board holding back for dear life say OH YA

  2. Great article as usual.

    I’m sick of Obama.

This is McCains fire back right here.

We are in the middle of an economic crisis and Obama is asking you “how many homes do you have”, Well Mr Obama, why don’t you ask all the people who have just lost there home through job losses, repossession with families kicked out into the street or just about to lose them, well how many homes do they have, instead of attacking me, what is your solution for making sure they have a home”

Obama is such a coldhearted fuckwit.

  3. SDs Please honor and show the courage of Stephanie Tubbs Jones, and stand up at the convention, support your electorate, and do the right thing.

92 CANDLES FOR STJ WE CAN MAKE IT 100 KEEP THEM COMING.

  4. I hope the sds look at the latest realclearpolitics map and the latest polls in PA, OH, FL, MN, MO, IA, and NY and wake the eff up! But history tells me they won’t, especially since they are rolling in the dough from Pelosi and Obama’s PACs

  5. “Obama ran a race-baiting, and gay-bashing, and woman hating campaign. Obama was awarded delegates by a corrupt Democratic National Committee that the voters had denied Obama. Bravo Admin!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. HillBuzz is saying re: Annenberg Files:

From what we hear on the ground here in Chicago, there’s something big erupting relating to these papers, BAIPA, and the sudden, odd retirement of State Senate President Emile Jones (SoetorObama’s mentor, and ladder to his US Senate seat). And, all of this is connected to Tony Rezko somehow, but it’s a complicated web prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald is still working on, making progress daily, with perhaps new developments come October.

(earlier, the article talks about IL’s Attorney General, Lisa Madigan)

After our current Illinois Governor and key SoetorObama surrogate Rod Blagojevich is indicted (possibly by the end of the year), and all the political fallout settles, we expect Lisa Madigan to be governor here in 2010. We have it on good authority that after McCain wins the presidential race in the fall SoetorObama believes he can run for Governor of Illinois in 2010 and win that instead.

    ===========

OK, I find that last part to be hilarious. Pampers wants to run for Gov of IL? And then probably another Presidential run – “the Obama of 2008 was not the Obama I knew” – yeah, he was the inexperienced calculating nitwit who put his Presidential ambitions before the welfare of the country and gave us more Republican rule.

    And additionally:

2008, the year the Democrats lost the Election because they were trapped in political correctness and did not have the balls to select the candidate who would’ve won it handily, Hillary Clinton.

  8. So he does have a back up plan for himself, AFTER LOSING.

SDs has he told you this so you can have a back up plan also?

  9. Obama continues to drop steadily in key swing-state polls — New Hampshire is now tied:

    —–
New Hampshire: Obama’s Big Lead Now Down To A Virtual Tie
    Wednesday, August 20, 2008

The presidential race in New Hampshire is now a toss-up. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds that Barack Obama’s once-double-digit lead over John McCain is down to a statistically insignificant one-point lead, 43% to 42%.

When “leaners” are factored in, Obama is ahead 47% to 46%. Full demographic crosstabs are available for Premium Members. Time is running out to save on Premium Memberships. Sign up now and save. Learn More.

The Democrat’s support has steadily decreased in the Granite State since he clinched the nomination in early June. Obama fell from an 11-percentage point lead in mid-June to a six-point lead in July. The latest numbers mark the closest the race has been so far this year.

The latest numbers show support growing for McCain from those in his party. He now earns the vote from 87% of GOP voters, up from 78% a month ago. Though Obama still has a 42% to 34% lead among unaffiliated voters, support for the Democrat is down from 50% last month. He also has a 46% to 38% lead among women. Among men in New Hampshire, McCain has a 46% to 40% edge.

  10. Admin: Bravo! Another great article!

SD’s: STEP UP, like Congresswomen told the people of PA. STEP UP!

  11. Berkeley Vox, when will Massachusetts follow New Hampshire? Won’t be long now. Deval Patrick, Obama’s friend and speech source is not popular in the region.

Obama is sinking in the states Hillary won. Surprise!

Didn’t the “Unity” event help Obama? NO.

  12. Wonderful article as always, Admin. Full of your fiery intelligence, following the example of our heroines Stephanie Tubbs-Jones and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Thank you!

Supers, you better step UP – or step OFF!
    WAKE UP, SUPER-DELEGATES! WAKE UP!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNSWwhi9Lhg

(Admin, would you please embed again?)

  13. How can Unity events help when he does not reach across the aisle when there is controversy

When asked when he had been bipartisen, he mention one thing with McCain.

McCain asked the same question and the list went on and on. You want a person in the WH that leans across the aisle. Hillary had that down pat.

  14. Below is the very good Obama ad attacking McCain on the house issue. The first thing we thought of when we heard Obama pressing this house stuff was: REZKO. Obvious. We scratched our heads wondering why Obama would open himself up to such obvious no-brainer attacks. BTW, the ad is good particularly since for the most part we are spared looking at or listening to Obama.

We read the McCain response and the NY Post Rezko article. When will the McCain Rezko ad appear?

  15. I know, I admit that even I am surprised by how quickly he’s been falling in the polls. I had assumed that if he got out of Denver with the nomination (still a huge “if”), he would hang on to a slight lead until around Labor Day, and then he’d begin to drop, once the real Republican attacks started. Instead, Obama’s been hurting himself with gaffe after gaffe (snorkeling in Hawaii while U.S. troops were deployed to Georgia, taking a pass on crucial questions at Saddleback – “that’s above my pay grade”, etc.).

As that previously-big pool of undecided voters begins to choose, they’re all breaking towards McCain — this is EXACTLY what happened during the second half of the Dem primary, too. Late breakers are all going away from Obama. The more voters know about him, the more they realize there’s no resume’ or track record underneath the speeches and commercials.

At this point, with these trends, the only hope Obama has is to hang on to the Kerry/Bush electoral map from 2004, and he needs to win two out of three of OH, PA, and FL in order to have a shot. He’s losing OH and FL and clinging to a shrinking lead in PA. If I had to bet my life on it, I’d say he won’t any of the three.

  16. BTW, for the incense burners that read Big PInk and want to know who we think should be Obama’s Vice President selection. Here is our Obama V.P. pick and Obama campaign slogan:

    Obama/Edwards

    Get Screwed Twice

  17. ADmin: great article!
Count, this fits in to my theory, all along the plan was to tear down the Clintons and get them out, and now we know that Bambi’s consolation was is the governorship of Illinois. Well, I knew there had to be a carrot for the fraud, so now we know. This was set up between the republicans and the democrats to take down Hillary, once they achieve that, then it will be the business of building a new party of blacks and elites. THe blue collars have been thrown under the bus with their leaders Bill and Hillary Clinton.

  18. Except confloyd,

It all went to his head. He actually thinks that he is entitled to the highest job in the land. He thinks he is the only one that can save the people and country from destruction. He’s starting to believe his own press!

  19. In addition to my above post, i would like to speculate on who the vp is and why. THe veep is Hillary, this way they can take completely down, she will have joined a losing, illegitamite tean with full knowledge of the criminal acts!

Wow – talk about people in glass houses throwing stones – !

    That is arrogance talking.

  21. Obama won’t win California and from what I’am reading it’s trending McCain.

Since I live in CA and is voting McCain if Hillary is not the nominee I will not give you the reason why Obama will Lose CA, yet.

I don’t want to warn Team Obama on their mistakes but let me say they are huge and will cost the dems big in CA.

  22. Bird, you’re not kidding. Admin, I’ve tried to put through the movie clip, “Wake up, Superdelegates!” May we post it again, please? 🙂

  23. Jan, sadly that’s how “public service” is viewed around in certain areas of this city and state – it’s not a privilege to serve, but rather an entitlement through dirty deals or demography. Never “what can I do for you” but “what can you all do for me?” I would bet that BO’s campaign is collapsing because he’s unwilling or unable to fulfill promises made to other electeds, not least of which are the promises he must have made to Hillary. He’s done nothing for anyone around here, either. Come to think of it, the convention may get interesting!

  24. The McCain Rezko ads will be coming soon. Politico reports that Obama is going to trash McCain:

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/jonathanmartin/0808/Obama_campaign_to_deploy_surrogates_to_hit_McCains_houses.html

Barack Obama’s campaign, moving rapidly to exploit what they see as a major opportunity, is deploying high-profile surrogates in 16 states across the country today to highlight John McCain’s uncertainty yesterday about how many houses he owns, the Democrat’s campaign tells Politico.

Governors, members of Congress and state legislators will hold conference calls and press conferences in front of homes to draw attention to the issue. Party leaders such as Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen and Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, on the stump in Ohio and Iowa respectively, wil move to incorporate the matter into their remarks on the campaign trail today in an effort to draw local media attention to the story.

Further, some state parties will hold contests in which Democrats seek out real voters who don’t know how many houses they own.

And in other states, ordinary citizens who have been victim of the mortgage crunch will hold press availabilities to contrast their plight with McCain’s wealth.

The aggressive move on Obama’s part is in keeping with a shift in campaign tactics since his vacation. Obama and his campaign aides have both ramped up their rhetoric in recent days. This latest effort reflects a willingness to hit McCain much harder and to veer from conventional issue-based attacks to the sort of character assaults that have marked the GOP’s campaign against Obama as well as their effort against John Kerry in 2004

  25. Admin, it seems not to go through, but here it is again.

  26. Tentative funeral plans for Stephanie Tubbs Jones

Ohio leaders to determine process to fill Congressional seat.
    Thursday, August 21, 2008
(Columbus) – Stephanie Tubbs Jones funeral will be held after the Democratic National Convention.

District Director Betty Pinkney says the service is tentatively scheduled for next Saturday, with a memorial service on Friday at Bethany Baptist Church at East 105th and Hampton.

Pinkney says the business of the 11th District does continue in Ohio and in Washington, DC.

Meantime, Ohio election officials are studying how to fill the congressional seat left vacant by the death of Cleveland democrat Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner’s office said Thursday it is checking whether a special election must be held, and when.

Tubbs Jones was up for re-election in November. The state held a special election last December following the death of republican Congressman Paul Gillmor, who died in September from a fall at his Washington apartment.

The death of Tubbs Jones leaves a political void in a heavily democratic district as the party gears up for the presidential election.

  27. apparently Obama spent as much as he got in last month, he spent 53 million and what did it get him, a great big poll drop.

  28. Further, some state parties will hold contests in which Democrats seek out real voters who don’t know how many houses they own.

Sorry but this is going to backfire on his ass.

  29. Moononpluto, it will backfire. McCain can hand out “Rezko mortgages”, “Rezko loans”, “Rezko deals”; this stuff writes itself.

  30. Well folks….

After a long back and forth decisions, I am going to Denver! I will be there sun-wed afternoon.
A friend helped with the flight and lodgings.

I will try to post details when I can.

  31. ADMIN
Excuse me, but there a typo here?
If the Superdelegates do wake up to their pending destruction before next week’s vote in Denver it would serve them well if Hillary Clinton would walk away from them.

Should this be ‘do NOT wake up’?

  32. God bless Stephanie-she was a loyal friend when others bailed. A woman of integrity and dignity who left us way too early……….

  33. With McCain on a roll, Republicans see Obama coronation postponed

    afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5j5YWRfxtnu0ndMaHYbmlqtbF1CdA

    EXCERPT:
Prevailing political conditions also still favor the Democrats.

“Voters are looking for change. That gives Obama a real advantage in this election, even as McCain tries to invent himself,” said Democratic pollster Celinda Lake.

And Obama is taking off the gloves, accusing McCain of impugning his patriotism, and has sharpened his economic message.

“I’m a big believer in winning. I don’t intend to lose this election. John McCain doesn’t know what he’s up against right now,” Obama said.

Obama’s surrogates are also laying into McCain, accusing him of stooping to “desperate” and “dishonest” attacks, and painting him “trigger-happy” on foreign policy.

Democrats also believe the race may not be as close, and expect a record breaking turnout in November.

Lake pointed out that most polls were based on traditional turnout models.

“Obama’s ace in the hole however, is his ability to change the electorate. Modeling even a modest increase in youth turnout generates a two point lead for Obama.”

The intricate campaign ground game, which helped Obama outwit the Clinton political machine in the Democratic primary campaign, is also now going nationwide.

And Obama can bank on a multi-million dollar cash advantage over McCain in the final months of the election — allowing him to mount huge advertising blitzes and stretch his rival’s resources.
    ******************************************************
Team Obama only listen to themselve talk and they keep using the same surrogants who are brainwashed and talk Obamaland.

Obama ran a primary race, knowing he have the support and backing of the DNC and the Democratic Leadership. Hillary Clinton was the outsider right from the begining….and if you didn’t know it, Big Blogs, MSNBC/NBC and CNN should had clued you who the establishment candidate is.

Now we’re in the G.E. and Obama is tanking in the polls right before the Dems corronation and there is only one chance to keep the ship from hitting the iceberg: SD’s must vote Hillary Clinton as the Dems nominee.
You will be given this ONE CHANCE to Correct the course this modern day TITANIC is heading either around the Iceberg or a straight hit.

Remember, If Hillary Clinton is so strong then why are you voting for the weaker candidate? It’s not Hillary responsibility to bring voters to Obama. Obama have to go out there and get those votes like McCain has to do.

That’s called leadership, not stagecraft. McCain has shown strong LEADERSHIP. Obama has shown STAGECRAFT…don’t confuse the two. One is real, the other is pretence.

  34. Congrats, mp!

It does write itself…. the Rezko subsidy is about 30% off list price. ($600k – $110k/$1.65 million) I sure would like one of those!

  35. Holy shit, we may have a chance to get SDs to switch sides in Denver, at the rate Obama’s tanking. Check THIS out — Obama was naive enough to get drawn into a personal tiff w/ McCain, and now Rezko is back in play. This goes against everything Obama’s campaign ostensibly stands for — i.e., no more “politics as usual.”

McCain Spokesman’s Retort: Obama Lives in “a Frickin’ Mansion”

    By Michael D. Shear
SEDONA, Ariz. — A spokesman for Sen. John McCain vowed to retaliate against today’s story about how many houses the GOP candidate owns with a renewed focus on Sen. Barack Obama’s ties to a Chicago developer and charges that Obama is an elitist.

“We’re delighted to have a real estate debate with Barack Obama,” said spokesman Brian Rogers, adding that the press should focus on Obama’s house. “It’s a frickin’ mansion. He doesn’t tell people that. You have a mansion you bought in a shady deal with a convicted felon.”

The felon reference was to Tony Rezko, a former Obama friend and financial backer who was convicted on fraud and bribery charges this year. Rogers vowed to intensify efforts to link Obama to Rezko in the coming days.

“That’s fair game now,” he said. “You are going to see more of that now that this issue has been joined. You’ll see more of the Rezko matter from us.”

The McCain campaign was in full damage-control mode as the housing story took off today. Rogers tried to play down the story, saying that reports of the many McCain houses were overstated.

“The reality is they have some investment properties and stuff. It’s not as if he lives in ten houses. That’s just not the case,” Rogers said. “The reality is they have four that actually could be considered houses they could use.”

  36. exactly, carbynew. The only hope left for the Obama campaign is that their ground game is SO earth-shattering that all the polls will be proven wrong. Problem is, their successful ground game has only been tested in red state primary caucuses, which is WAYYYYYYY different than the GE.

  37. Berkeley, Carby: their ground-game was to get students in red state colleges to bully the few other democrats at open caucuses in those states when his stock was at its highest. How can that possibly translate to a general election in California, PA or FL? Both newly registerd and youth voters are notoriously flakey and he’s already disappointed them on so many issues – FISA, finance reform, Iraq, etc.

  38. I would love to be a fly on the wall in one of Obama’s strategy sessions today…lol… I wonder who he is blaming/throwing under the bus now. Pretty soon there will be no one left.

I fully expect the media to come to his aid and raise their McCain attacks a few more notches. Anything for their prince in tights. 😉

  39. Can you guys imagine how shattered Donna Brazile’s “legacy” is going to be after this election? She will never work in Democratic politics again. She helped ruin Gore’s chances in 2000 and now she’s somehow managed to do even more damage this time around.

  40. This morning I did a posting on the salience of the chicago crew in bambi’s entourage. Bad medicine.

A few minutes go I learned that Mayor Daley will be speaking at the convention on the same day as wjc. That is a wake-up call.

The chicago crew is the most corrupt political machine in the country. The fox will be guarding the chicken coup if he is elected.

  41. Obama spent 53 million????? On what??? Did he BUY the private beach in Hawaii?? It couldn’t all be bribe money because it doesn’t take that much to bribe people. esp. politicians, esp. in Chicago.

No wonder he is losing the ‘who is best to handle the economy’ poll. Our debt is bad enough.

And BTW, would CNN et al. stop saying that Hillary’s ‘3am’ ad didn’t work. It worked great — she won huge in almost every major state thereafter.

53 million, huh? Now that polls are showing that we will not vote for Obama, we must explain to his devoted followrs that we will not vote for them either if their judgment is this bad.

  42. 53 million in one month. Spending money like a drunken sailor, with very little to show for it. Not a very good return on one’s investment.

  43. The Big Blogs / nutroots crowd is going bananas over the McCain’s houses vs. Obama’s Rezko house controversy. I love how they don’t even realize that by making personal homes the subject of the debate, Obama is automatically weakened. Voters will be turned off by this, because it’s “politics as usual,” and anytime Obama engages in “politics as usual,” it undercuts his core message. Dumb, dumb, dumb. As NewMexicoFan said the other day, I feel like I’m on another planet, looking down and watching all of this.

When Daley says shhh, library is quiet on Obama
    John Kass

    August 21, 2008

Conservative writer Stanley Kurtz—researching an article for the National Review about connections between Barack Obama and former Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers—made a big mistake.

The poor man took a wrong turn on the Chicago Way. Now he’s lost.

Kurtz’s research was to be done in a special library run by the University of Illinois at Chicago. The library has 132 boxes full of documents pertaining to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation vested heavily in school reform.

Kurtz believes the documents may show Obama and Ayers were close—far closer than Obama has acknowledged—over oodles of foundation gifts on education projects the two worked on together.

First the librarians told Kurtz yes, come look. But by the time Kurtz landed in Chicago, the librarians changed their minds. The donor of the documents hadn’t cleared his research. Perhaps they’ll let him look at the documents on Nov. 5.

The relationship between the ambitious Obama and the unrepentant Ayers is a subject that excites Republicans, who haven’t really thwacked that pinata as hard as they might. It really irritates Obama and his political champion, Chicago’s sovereign lord, Mayor Richard M. Daley.

“This is a public entity,” Kurtz told us Wednesday. “I don’t understand how confidentiality of the donor would be an issue.”

You don’t understand, Mr. Kurtz? Allow me to explain. The secret is hidden in the name of the library:

    The Richard J. Daley Library.

    Eureka!

The Richard J. Daley Library doesn’t want nobody nobody sent. And Richard J.’s son, Shortshanks, is now the mayor.

Obama, wearing the reformer’s mantle, has generously offered to extend that reform to Washington, even to Kenya, but not Chicago, because he knows Shortshanks would be miffed.

Ayers, a former left-wing radical accused of inciting riots during the anti-war protests in the 1960s, is now also under Shortshanks’ protection. After Ayers finally resurfaced in 1980, he got a job the Chicago Way, as a professor at UIC.

The Tribune’s City Hall reporter, Dan Mihalopoulos, asked Daley on Wednesday if the Richard J. Daley Library should release the documents. Shortshanks didn’t like that one. He kept insisting he would be “very frank,” a phrase that makes the needles on a polygraph start jumping.

” Bill Ayers—I’ve said this—his father was a great friend of my father,” the mayor said. “I’ll be very frank. Vietnam divided families, divided people. It was a terrible time of our country. People didn’t know one another. Since then, I’ll be very frank, [Ayers] has been in the forefront of a lot of education issues and helping us in public schools and things like that.”

The mayor expressed his frustrations with outside agitators like Kurtz.

“People keep trying to align himself with Barack Obama,” Daley said. “It’s really unfortunate. They’re friends. So what? People do make mistakes in the past. You move on. This is a new century, a new time. He reflects back and he’s been making a strong contribution to our community.”

Mr. Kurtz finally got his answer. It should grace the cover of the National Review, with a cartoon of Shortshanks, dressed like a jolly Tudor monarch, holding a tiny Obama in his right paw, a tiny Ayers in his left:

    They’re friends. So what?

    Welcome to Chicago, Mr. Kurtz.

The Republican National Committee lost no time in demanding that Obama personally defy Shortshanks and call for the documents to be released from their dungeon.

“The American people have a right to know more about Barack Obama’s relationship with unrepentant terrorist William Ayers,” said RNC spokesman Danny Diaz in a statement. “Will Barack Obama step forward and call on the university to immediately release all the records?”

    No chance, Danny.

“It leads me to have tremendous fear for the documents,” Kurtz said. “What if they are going through them right now and deciding which names to take out? I’m completely alarmed. I think public scrutiny is the only way to save the documents.”

He should be worried. Though national pundits get thrills running up their legs when Obama speaks, it’s when Daley says “I’ll be very frank” that you’ve got to worry.

Kurtz fears “they’ll manage to take this all the way past the election.”

    You think?

Even before Shortshanks, when Chicago had a true reform mayor, his freedom of information officer was Clarence McClain, a former pimp with a bad wig who ended up in federal prison for taking bribes. Now that the Daleys run things, forget about it.

It’s obvious that Mr. Kurtz and the National Review didn’t have the special Chicago Democratic machine library card:

The mayor’s smiling face on one side. And your voting record on the other.

  45. Bambi opened the door on Rezko with McCain the same as he did with Hillary in the debates, the asshole made the same mistake twice.

  46. No typo turndown. Frankly at this point it is very possible that the only thing that will get rid of the nutroots and Dean/Brazile/Pelosi is a defeat at the polls in this very big “Democratic year”.

If Hillary gets the nomination it would save the party. We’re not sure they deserve saving at this point. We would be happy if Hillary accepts the nomination with the proviso that Dean/Brazile/Pelosi all resign immediately. Get rid of Kennedy and Kerry and Edwards and Daley and Richardson and NARAL and ….

  47. wbboei,

I meant to comment on your wonderful post about Chicago. This is the part of Obama’s crooked legacy that scares me the most. It’s as if that evil will spread far and wide if he gets a handle on the White House.

  48. Link Obama housing comment with Rezko, add in his stooges – Dodd and that senator from ND who got special deals from countrywide.
    There you have it;

    McCain can do this ad!

  49. Berkeley Vox, the nutroots don’t realize that Americans will not penalize McCain for having a lot of houses and being rich.

The American voter, the Phantom Menace, will punish Obama and Michelle for getting a house they could not afford because they got help from a felon. Most Americans don’t get mortgage help to buy mansions they cannot afford.

Obama will try to paint McCain as out of touch. McCain will succeed in exposing Obama for being to in touch with corrupt Chicago felons.

  50. Exactly… voters never fault politicians for being wealthy. You never see a politician in the bread line anyways, so it’s a dumb line of attack for Obama to take — it won’t resonate. The Obama camp is so friggin’ clueless it’s almost breathtaking. This is politics 101.

And now Rezko is finally on the front pages! 😀

  51. While my heart lies with Hillary, I can’t help but be thrilled that all those weaknesses of Obama’s that she wasn’t allowed to attack, can now be front and center. Obama is going down. The Republican Party is going for the jugular.

  52. Oh yeah admin!!!

Edwards will need a job soon…so Obama could hire him as his lawyer!!!!

And that shitty Edwards can “Fight for the little people” with his trial lawyer “LIES” hmmm… er skills!!!

  53. Maybe the repubs should focus an ad on the obscene amount of money Obama is spending to get elected. Think how many of the poor and homeless could be helped with all that money.

  54. thank you InformedinIllinois
    great post

Ayer/Rezko & Wright prove – even without the 132 boxes of new material – that Barack has the worst moral judgment of anyone who ever ran for President

  55. Informed: The dirt just keeps flowing out, despite attempts to keep it hidden. What a cesspool of corruption.

  56. The GOP’s rope-a-dope strategy against Obama is working like a charm. Rezko / housing story is all over the blogosphere and Big Media today.

  57. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0808/Limbaugh_GOP_pushback_Rezko.html?showall

The RNC just blasted out a memo to that effect, and Rush Limbaugh is running with it:

This business about McCain not knowing how many houses he has. Folks, it turns out that Obama already knows. Obama’s got an ad: He’s got seven houses. They’re worth $13 million. That wouldn’t even pay for one of John Kerry’s houses.

And the second thing I have to point out to you is that I don’t care how many houses McCain has, he and his wife did not get a sweetheart deal from a fraud embezzler like Tony Rezko to buy their houses. But the Messiah did. The Messiah got all kind of sweetheart deals with Rezko, and who knows who else.

  58. Well done Obama, they are talking about Rezko and not McCain.

Now its going viral, obama you fuckwit, the msm are now doing stories on rezko and this time they are looking like they are going to do it properly as McCains involved.

    Shady House Deal Plagues Obama

    560wind.townhall.com/columnists/AmandaCarpenter/2008/08/21/shady_house_deal_plagues_obama

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign may be drawing attention to their GOP rival John McCain’s multiple houses at their own peril.

The convicted felon Rogers referred to is Tony Rezko, who played a role in helping Obama expand the $1.65 million mansion Obama purchased $300,000 below the list price on Chicago’s South Side in 2005. Rezko’s sister, Rita, coincidentally purchased land adjacent to the Obama’s property on the same day, at the full list price, and later sold a parcel of it to the Obama’s which made the Obama’s yard bigger.

Before Obama bought the house he had assisted Rezko in securing millions of tax dollars for housing developments as an Illinois state legislator.

Rezko was convicted on 16 of 24 federal corruption counts earlier this year. The charges were unrelated to Obama, but drew attention to Obama’s cozy relationship with the felon. Obama told the press his decision to become involved with Rezko “a boneheaded move.”

Over the Fourth of July Weekend, the Washington Post revealed Obama had also secured a reduced mortgage for the same home, on top of the Rezko’s discount, saving him more than $300 a month in mortgage payments. “Shortly after joining the U.S. Senate and while enjoying a surge in income, Barack Obama bought a $1.65 million restored Georgian mansion in an upscale Chicago neighborhood. To finance the purchase, he secured a $1.32 million loan from Northern Trust in Illinois. The freshman Democratic senator received a discount. He locked in an interest rate of 5.625 percent on the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, below the average for such loans at the time in Chicago,” Post reporter Joe Stephens wrote.

Obama’s ties to shady mortgage deals extend beyond his own home, too.

Obama’s vice presidential “vetter” Jim Johnson, a former Fannie Mae CEO, also received a discount mortgage. Johnson was dismissed from the Obama campaign after details of his sweetheart mortgage deal were revealed to the public.

  59. And Rezko received help from Bo, to obtain 14 million for the now defunct housing projects. BO wrote letters for Rezko.

    see moon’s link at 3 p.m.

  60. They didnt pay much attention when Rezko was first mentioned in the primaries now they are as its the GE.

    OBAMA’S HOUSING PROBLEM
Brought To You By Convicted Felon Tony Rezko
    ___________________________________________________________
Obama Engaged In Deal With Convicted Felon To Get Deal On House That Had Four Fireplaces And A Wine Cellar:

Obama Paid $300,000 Less Than The Asking Price For His Mansion, While Tony Rezko’s Wife Paid Full Price For A Vacant Lot Next Door On The Very Same Day. “Two years ago, Obama bought a mansion on the South Side, in the Kenwood neighborhood, from a doctor. On the same day, [Antoin ‘Tony’] Rezko’s wife, Rita Rezko, bought the vacant lot next door from the same seller. The doctor had listed the properties for sale together. He sold the house to Obama for $300,000 below the asking price. The doctor got his asking price on the lot from Rezko’s wife.” (Tim Novak, “Obama And His Rezko Ties,” Chicago Sun-Times, 4/23/07)

    • The Seller Of Obama’s Home “Wanted To Sell Both Properties At The Same Time.” “On the same day Obama closed on his house, Rezko’s wife bought the adjacent empty lot, meeting the condition of the seller who wanted to sell both properties at the same time.” (Brian Ross and Rhonda Schwartz, “The Rezko Connection,” ABC News’ “The Blotter” Blog, abcnews.go.com, 1/10/08)

Obama Later Purchased A Portion Of Rezko’s Land For $104,500; It Was Valued At $40,500. “Later, the Obamas bought a 10-foot-by-150-foot piece of the lot for $104,500. An appraisal put the value of the strip at $40,500, a spokesman said, but Obama considered it fair to pay one-sixth of the original price for one-sixth of the lot.” (Peter Slevin, “Obama Says He Regrets Land Deal With Fundraiser,” The Washington Post, 12/17/06)

Rezko Was Convicted Of Wire And Mail Fraud, Money Laundering, And Aiding And Abetting Bribery. “A federal jury today convicted developer Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko of corruption charges for trading on his clout as a top adviser and fundraiser to Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Rezko’s guilty verdict on 16 of 24 corruption counts could have broad repercussions for Blagojevich, who made Rezko a central player in his kitchen cabinet. It could also prove a political liability for U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, who once counted Rezko as a friend and fundraiser, as the likely Democratic presidential nominee heads into the general election campaign against Republican John McCain. … The jury convicted Rezko of wire and mail fraud, money laundering and aiding
and abetting bribery. He was acquitted of attempted extortion.” (Bob Secter and Jeff Coen, “Rezko Convicted Of Corruption,” Chicago Tribune, 6/4/08)

NOTE: The 3 Story House Has Four Fireplaces And A Wine Cellar. “When Obama and his wife, Michelle, a hospital executive, decided to move with their two young girls from their Hyde Park condominium, they chose a spacious three-story Georgian revival home on a tree-lined street in the Kenwood neighborhood, not far from the University of Chicago. The owner had listed the house — nearly 100 years old, with four fireplaces and a wine cellar — and an adjacent lot as separate parcels.” (Peter Slevin, “Obama Says He Regrets Land Deal With Fundraiser,” The Washington Post, 12/17/06)

Obama Provided Political Favors To Tony Rezko, Including Writing Letters On His Behalf:

“As A State Senator, Barack Obama Wrote Letters To City And State Officials Supporting His Political Patron Tony Rezko’s Successful Bid To Get More Than $14 Million From Taxpayers To Build Apartments For Senior Citizens.” (Tim Novak, “Obama’s Letters For Rezko,” Chicago Sun-Times, 6/13/07)

Blagojevich.” (Tim Novak, “Obama’s Letters For Rezko,” Chicago Sun-Times, 6/13/07)

    • FLASHBACK: In December Of 2006, Obama Said He Had “Never Done Any Favors For Him.” “The letters appear to contradict a statement last December from Obama, who told the Chicago Tribune that, in all the years he’s known Rezko, ‘I’ve never done any favors for him.’” (Tim Novak, “Obama’s Letters For Rezko,” Chicago Sun-Times, 6/13/07)

Rezko Offered Obama A Job After Law School And The Two Have Been Friends Ever Since:

Rezko Offered Obama A Job When He Was A Harvard Law Student And The Two Have Stayed In Touch Ever Since. “One of them was Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who was offered a job by Rezko in the early 1990s while a top student at Harvard Law School. Obama did not take it, but over the years, the two men stayed in touch…” (Peter Slevin, “Obama Says He Regrets Land Deal With Fundraiser,” The Washington Post, 12/17/06)

Rezko Was One Of Obama’s Biggest Fundraisers, Raising $250,000 For His Campaigns:

Rezko Was “One Of The Biggest Fundraisers” For Obama. “‘This was discussed a lot. They wanted to have a good showing,’ said a source familiar with the fund-raiser [Rezko held for Obama], speaking on condition of anonymity. ‘Tony was one of the biggest fund-raisers.’” (Chris Fusco and Tim Novak, “Rezko Cash Triple What Obama Says,” Chicago Sun-Times, 6/18/07)

    • Obama Has Admitted To $250,000 Worth Of Campaign Funding Provided By Tony Rezko. “For the first time, Sen. Barack Obama put a figure Friday to the amount of campaign contributions that indicted political fund-raiser Tony Rezko raised for the senator’s campaigns, and the number — about $250,000 — was far more than he previously acknowledged.” (Tim Novak, Chris Fusco, Dave McKinney and Carol Marin, “More Rezko Dough Found,” Chicago Sun-Times, 3/15/08)

Obama And Rezko’s Socializing Included Their Wives And A Trip To Rezko’s Lake House:

Obama And Rezko Socialized Over Lunch Or Breakfast And Discussed Politics And Family. Obama: “We’d [Obama and Rezko] continue to have lunches or breakfasts. We’d talk about politics. We’d talk about family.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Interview With Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago, IL, 3/15/08)

Obama And Rezko Would Also Socialize With Their Wives Over Dinner. Obama: “In terms of other than lunch or breakfast he and I had, socially, Michelle and I probably had a couple of dinners, or two or three dinners with [Rezko] and his wife during the course of this six or seven or eight years.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Interview With Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago, IL, 3/15/08)

The Obamas And Rezkos Took A Trip Together To Rezko’s Home At Lake Geneva, WI. Obama: “[Barack And Michelle Obama] Visited their home in Lake Geneva once for the day.” (Sen. Barack Obama, Interview With Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago, IL, 3/15/08)

  63. It’s hard to really imagine a bigger gaffe than Obama’s decision to make PERSONAL RESIDENCES a campaign issue. I am literally laughing out loud over this. Are we on Candid Camera?

  64. Later, the Obamas bought a 10-foot-by-150-foot piece of the lot for $104,500. An appraisal put the value of the strip at $40,500, a spokesman said, but Obama considered it fair to pay one-sixth of the original price for one-sixth of the lot.”

Sorry but what fucking idiot pays more than twice the appraisal price unless it was in reality funneling money back to Rezko.

  65. admin: Thank you for the rest of the article. I thought, I was at the end, when I saw the RNC Disclaimer.

  66. If anyone remembers when Hillary mentioned Rezko during the South Carolina debate there was a moment when the camera went to the audience reaction. The camera showed Stephanie Tubbs-Jones laughing with delight and shock saying something like “she went there, Rezko!”.

  67. Seems like it is Rezko day. Here is the NY Post article:

    http://www.nypost.com/php/pfriendly/print.php?url=http://www.nypost.com/seven/08212008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/baracks_favors_for_corrupt_crony_125390.htm

    August 21, 2008 —
Barack Obama has ad mitted it was “boneheaded” to get involved in a land deal with Tony Rezko, his friend and fund-raiser. But the media’s focus on that deal has distracted from the bigger question: Why would Obama become involved in any deal with a man like Rezko, who made his living sponging off taxpayers and corrupting public officials? Because, by the time of the deal, the two already had a long relationship of mutual benefit.

The deal’s details are well-known: On June 15, 2005, Obama bought a gorgeous house in Hyde Park for $1.65 million – $300,000 below the list price. Rezko bought the empty but attractive lot next door from the same seller at the same time; Obama would later buy part of Rezko’s lot, overpaying him.

The transaction was shady, but not obviously corrupt. The overall Obama-Rezko relationship looks worse.

After Rezko’s 2006 indictment on unrelated federal corruption charges, Obama denied unequivocally that he’d ever helped the man: “I’ve never done any favors for him.”

That’s simply false. Rezko was a genius of corporate welfare who enriched himself at taxpayers’ expense, both legally and illegally, via his multiple political connections. Yes, he went to others for the illegal deals that landed him in prison. But Rezko depended on Obama when he wanted legal access to the state treasury. The arrangement was a far cry from Obama’s image of “change and hope.”

It’s impossible to know Obama’s motives. But several of his official acts benefited Rezko, who in turn raised some $250,000 for Obama’s campaigns.

In October 1998, Obama wrote city and state officials, urging them to give Rezko $14 million to build an apartment complex outside of Obama’s state Senate district. The Chicago Sun-Times noted last year that Obama’s request included $855,000 in “development fees” for Rezko and for another developer, Allison Davis, who happened to be Obama’s old law-firm boss. Obama’s spokesman said it was just a coincidence that the state senator wrote letters to obtain millions of dollars for his two longtime friends.

In fact, Obama was a dependable ally of subsidized developers in the Legislature, giving Rezko and others broader help as well. In “The Case Against Barack Obama,” I identify and parse six housing bills with which Obama was closely involved. A few examples:

    * In 2001, Obama cosponsored a bill allowing developers to sell state tax credits to others and pocket half of the proceeds.

    * In 2002 and 2004, he was chief cosponsor of a bill to authorize a rent-subsidy fund giving “grants . . . directly to developers” of low-income housing. Seventy percent of the money was earmarked for the Chicago area.

    * Obama cosponsored the Illinois Housing Initiative Act of 2003, which required the governor to develop a plan for more low-income housing and “provide[d] for funding for housing construction and rehabilitation and supportive services.”

    * In 2003, Obama voted for the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeal Act, which required Illinois municipalities to make 10 percent of their housing units “affordable” (by definition, this included subsidized housing). This forced 46 communities just outside of Chicago to create more than 7,000 new “affordable” units – a huge boost in demand for area developers. The bill also provided loopholes for developers to circumvent local ordinances and regulations.

After voting for this measure (it passed narrowly), Obama then cosponsored a new bill that moved up its implementation by more than a year.

These and the other Obama-backed bills helped make millionaires of Rezko and other slum developers at taxpayers’ expense. The developers – including his former law boss and an adviser to his current campaign – reciprocated, together giving and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Obama’s campaigns.

To sum up: Obama got them subsidies to build. He secured them a steady income of government rent subsidies. He arranged special tax credits and abatements for them. He backed measures that increased demand for their services, and helped them legally circumvent local laws.

Perhaps Obama acted with only the poor in mind. Yet some of his developer friends weren’t so conscientious – especially Rezko.

Notably, Rezko’s company claimed that it lacked the funds to heat one of its 11 buildings in Obama’s state Senate district from December 1996 to February 1997. But Rezko still managed to write a $1,000 check to Obama’s campaign fund on Jan. 14. That month, his tenants shivered as 19 inches of snow fell on northern Illinois.

With his early and large investments in Obama, Rezko helped the Democratic nominee get to where he is today. Obama, meanwhile, helped Rezko with his legislative work and his letter-writing. Given this close working relationship, the Obama-Rezko land deal is far less surprising.

  68. yup Admin, she did and i think this time the GOP will go there bigtime, Hillary could’nt at the time but by god McCain will and he wont let go.

The RNC is about to spit him up and chew him put.

  69. the NY just came up with that today, methinks they been hording that to run for a long time. They were waiting for McCain to go there, they had that already for publication.

  70. We are actually very lucky that Obama brought up Rezko right on the eve of his VP announcement and Denver… lol. Unbelievable.

  71. I can’t believe the stupidity or is it just plain arrogance of the Obama Campaign, i bet SD’s are sitting there today, going “i don’t believe he just went there”. What must they be thinking.

Are the Obama camp just actually halfwits like we thought, has the arrogance gone so far, they think they are unbreakable.

I got news for them, you are in deep shit sunshine.

  72. This is amazing! Doesn’t it feel like exactly like when “Hillary went there” at the debate (noted above). It was a cathartic moment. My husband and I were laughing and clapping and shadow boxing in the air: “Atta girl, Hillary!”

BREAKING NEWS: Obama has decided who will be his VP. But, he won’t say who it is or when he will tell anyone. Whatta tease…..

  73. Not the Barcrack Banana I know! Oh yea. On the subject of corruption . . . . well there is a perfectly innocent explanation –right?

Flash back to the old west. The year is 1881. The place is Deadwood Kansas. No aces and eights yet. Bang! Bang! a man lies dead in the street. Some no name drifter nobody knows.

Still standing is a tall mean looking hombre by the name of John Westly Harden. The town sheriff Wild Bill Hickock walks up to Harden and takes his gun from him. Then he walks over to the body and checks for vital signs. There are none.

Harden says you saw it sheriff. So did everyone else. I defy anyone here to say differnent. No takers.

Sheriff Hickock turns to him and says: yea. I reckon it was self defense all right. . . . . . But I’ll be damned if I ever met anyone who required so much self defending.

Same way with Barcrack. At some point the law of probability will catch up with him. When it does the fall from grace will not be pretty.

  74. Hillary! Hillary! Hillary! Hilllary! Hillary! Hillary!

    Hillary for President………..2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  75. BREAKING NEWS: Obama has decided who will be his VP. But, he won’t say who it is or when he will tell anyone. Whatta tease…..

meaning, no one will take the job or that i am watching the polls because i’m sinking and see where i can get help, at this rate it will be the convention.

  76. if Obama had picked a VP, trust me he would have dropped it now, with all this shit, he has no idea yet, or theres something else going on.

  77. BREAKING NEWS: Obama has decided who will be his VP. But, he won’t say who it is or when he will tell anyone.

UPDATE: No-one cares now, Barry…folks got sick of the endless previews and left the theater before the feature even started.

  78. The trouble is that if Obama picks anyone but Hillary, it will be the biggest deflation and if he does, his own blogger bots will slay him.

    Win win.

  79. Not just Rezko.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0808/New_group_plans_Ayers_attack_on_Obama.html?showall

A new conservative group has produced a television ad attacking Barack Obama for his relationship with former Weather Underground bomber Bill Ayers.

“How much do your really know about Barack Obama? What does he really believe?” asks the ad, which then cites the failed attack on the Capitol on 9/11, and links it to the Weather Underground attack on the Capitol decades earlier.

The group says it will spend $2.8 million airing the ad in Ohio and Michigan — which would be the largest single third-party expenditure this cycle.

“Why would Barack Obama be friends with someone who bombed the Capitol and is proud of it?” asks the narrator. “Do you know enough to elect Barack Obama?”

The group, the American Issues Project, is a 501(c)4 — which means it isn’t required to disclose its donors. According to a press release set to go out shortly, it’s the product of a coalition of conservative groups, including Iowans for Tax Relief. Its president is Ed Martin, a Missouri conservative.

The substance of the ad matches a recent upswing in the McCain campaign’s references to Ayers. The link to 9/11 also suggests that the ad is seeking to tap into viral rumors linking Obama to Muslim terrorists.

It’s spokesman, Christian Pinkston, is a former aide to presidential candidate Jack Kemp, and went on to run the conservative group Empower America.

Pinkston says the ad will launch later this afternoon.

  80. I’m enjoying this.

Get ready for another Obama exposé – ‘The Audacity of Deceit’ to hit streets in 2 weeks

WASHINGTON – Is the other shoe about to drop?

Can Barack Obama take another body slam in the form of a best-selling exposé?

Will the latest in a trifecta of revealing books leave him on the political ropes?

The presidential candidate survived Jerome Corsi’s “Obama Nation” and David Freddoso’s “The Case Against Barack Obama” – though he is bloodied and bruised and taking a dive in the polls.

Now comes Brad O’Leary’s “The Audacity of Deceit,” which focuses on what can be surmised from his record about Obama’s domestic policy prescriptions as president. Among the conclusions drawn by O’Leary, the author of 11 books and a successful media and marketing entrepreneur:

    Obama will be a radical on the abortion issue as signaled by his blocking of emergency medical aid for babies who survive abortion;

    Obama will attempt to ban the use of firearms for defense by law-abiding citizens;

    Obama will raise tax rates up to 60 percent;

    Obama will “transform the U.S. Treasury into the United Nations’ ATM”;

    * Obama will encourage high fuel prices and will remove more farmland from production;
    * Obama will raise the percentage of Americans who pay no taxes at all, from 30 percent to 40 percent – at the expense of those who do.
    * Obama will transfer child-rearing responsibility and authority from parents to the federal government with his “0 to 5” program.

“‘The Audacity of Deceit’ is the perfect complement to Jerome Corsi’s ‘Obama Nation,'” says Joseph Farah, founder of WND Books, which published the book. “I think there is a strong market still for more information on Obama – a lot of material left unaddressed by Corsi’s No. 1 New York Times best-seller.”

  81. it appears that the issues raised by Hillary (that no one listened to but us) about BHO, are now being used again only this time by the republicans.

but then that is the GE, more people are paying attention.

If only the democratic party thought this through. Stupid fools. They put forth a guy that has so much baggage it would sink the Titanic a second time.

BHO is going down with the ship of fools.

  82. JanH: “…..meaning he’s desperate to move the attention away from Rezko!”

Maybe whoever had said “yes” (rumor was he knew more than a week ago) now changed their mind. Anyway, you’re right… now no one cares! Text message to his peeps will read:

    Den mtg off. M not the 1 U R w8tg 4. CU in Hawaii.

    Other entries?

  83. M not the 1 U R w8tg 4. CU in Hawaii.

    ROTFLMFAO!!!

That one caught me completely off guard! Well played, Informed!

Those chickens? They are coming home and roosting their asses off.

    LOL!

    Baaawk, Baaawk, Baaawk!

What a wealth of information today.

  85. Debbie, that’s right. It feels good to know all the work and research we did on Rezko is finally being used.

The trap is sprung. It’s Rezko day.

The McCain campaign is setting up a website devoted to Rezko. McCain and the Republicans should ask for an Ethics Committee investigation of the Obama/Rezko house deal.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/12694.html

Sen. John McCain’s campaign is fighting back against questions about his house holdings by opening a website focusing on past questions about Sen. Barack Obama’s dealings with controversial Chicago businesssman Tony Rezko.

The campaign was getting the site ready Thursday afternoon. McCain surrogates on television were being armed with facts about Rezko’s relationship to Obama’s purchase of his Chicago home in 2005.

Previewing the message the campaign will seek to drive, a McCain spokesman said: “In an attempt to make something stick, Barack Obama has re-aired his dirty laundry with convicted felon Tony Rezko that led to a highly questionable land deal. Rezko’s dirty dealings are well-documented and his relationship with Barack Obama goes back 20 years.”

When Obama purchased his current home in June 2005, he and his wife paid $1.65 million — a hefty sum but $300,000 less than the asking price. In February 2008, his campaign largely defused questions about the sale when the couple from whom the Obamas bought their house said the senator had submitted three bids, starting with an offer of $1.3 million, before his final offer was accepted.

In January 2006, Obama bought one-sixth of an adjoining lot from Rezko’s wife, Rita, paying her exactly a sixth of the sum she had paid for the property.

Obama later said it was “boneheaded” of him to accept help from the Rezkos in his real estate dealings.

During the Democratic primaries, Obama came under attack for his relationship with Rezko, and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told Politico on Feb. 11: “We still don’t have answers about Sen. Obama and his dealings with Mr. Rezko.”

In June 2008, a federal jury convicted Rezko of 16 counts of corruption in a probe that has implicated Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, an Obama supporter.

  86. Thanks, IDUNN! It’s my birthday tomorrow, and I’m working at home because I have a migraine – office lights no good. But, the news and the conversation today are really lifting my spirits!

  87. While the McCain campaign is doing a bit of digging, may I suggest they look into the possible Obama money laundering being done through ACORN and CSI ? Afterall, McCains wife is rich…shouldn’t at least SOME of that money go to serve the greater good? We are but humble citizens doing this work with limited resources.

  88. Kaine is a mini Obama, he makes me sick… sick … sick..

    ————————–

I heard ABC News radio describe Kaine as “as giddy as a high-school girl before the prom” on a news report this morning. This wasn’t a talk show, it was the news and it was ABC

  89. Also, there’s the scam layered upon scams: don’t forget the minority contracting scams that are part of every corrupt real estate deal. Minority fronts (like the one with Rezko’s restaurants in O’Hare terminals) mostly owned by majority interests.

  90. Oh and John…if the bastard tries to go after Cindy over her sister, be sure to remind everyone of the fact that the Precious has a brother who lives in a squalid hut in Kenya on $1 a day.

  91. Admin said: “The trap is sprung. It’s Rezko day.”

It practically writes itself, doesn’t it? I think that Hillary was already asked and turned down VP. She saw this day coming many months ago, but was too loyal and kind to hit any harder than she did. The DNC cabal were too arrogant and hateful; the ‘bots are simply clueless.

  92. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones in the audience (at end) reacts to Hillary’s Rezko response when Obama attacked her on Wal-Mart. Makes the blood boil to see this stuff.

  93. wbboei Says:
It is a function of the money behind him and how badly they want a rube like him who they can control
    ——————————

Yes, and it’s worth money to them even to keep Hillary out. Obama is a disposable tool.

But what if Obama himself realizes he’s on track for McGovern of 2008, and his onlly hope is Clinton/Obama?

  94. I’m sure they will be, moononpluto. Obama’s other recent gaffe was when he called out FOX News during one of his speeches the other day — never a good idea to poke the cobra, even if they are right-leaning.

FOX News ranks #1 in the recent TV ratings, and CNN is 17th. Low-information voters, who also comprise the bulk of undecideds, get most of their TV news from FOX. Dumb, dumb, dumb move by Obama to start bagging on FOX. Also makes him look unpresidential.

  95. The death of Stephanie Tubbs Jones was unexpected. She was so energetic, charismatic, and full of life. I can’t believe that she is really gone.
    R.I.P.

  96. wbboei said:
whether we are fighting for Hillary or for the country. Before she suspended her candidacy they were one and the same. But if obama gets the nomination and she is vp then that is the question we will each have to ask ourselves.
    ——————————

Imo they are still one and the same. A vote for McCain (even against O/C) improves both parties, discourages both the GOP RR and the Dems’ Brazile/Pelosi faction.

Imo HIllary as VP for 8 years is the worst thing that coule happen to her. Even if she resigned — or BO fired her — she’d still have lost her Senate seat.

IF O/C loses, no harm to Clinton: Edwards wasn’t much hurt from Kerry/Edwards losing.

  97. Freckles said: I guess it’s a bit cheery to note that almost 50% of HRC voters aren’t going for Obama. MSNBC and CNN keep repeating that they will.
    ===============

Refer them to the Pew poll (adn aothers iirc) saying that Obama has made NO progress with Hil supporters all summer. Another just came out saying only iirc 52% of Hil’s will support BO. Iirc that’s actually down a couple points from those who would support him in early July.
I’ve got a diary up at clntondems.com comapring these polls but I cna not remember the title of it.

  98. Politico reporting that Obama has chosen his veep but isn’t announcing it yet. Rumors swirling that it’s Tim Kaine… if so, a lame pick. GOP would slam Kaine for his lack of experience (only been governor a couple of years) and zero foreign policy knowledge. Bulk of Kaine’s career was as a lawyer in private practice and then as a law professor.

  99. A new kind of politics.

The old rule was that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

The new rule is they should–and the more the merrier. Such as: questioning whether mccain is has the military credentials to be commander is chief when barcrack has zero military credentials himself. Or questioning home ownership of mccain when barcarck has a bit of a rezko problem. Nothing like opening the door.

A friend just got back from Alaska and gave me an update of the Stevens mess. He is trying to change the venue from Washington to Anchorage, where he has strong backing. I worry about that one for his sake. We did business with him in the 1970s and he was a critical player in protecting American commercial fisheries.

My friend went fishing at a place called Big Lake. I had never heard of it but it is across from Cook Inlet. After they were done fishig the guide took them over to the other side of he lake by boat. They saw some grizzly bears catching fish. He said there was this beautiful female bear with two cubs that would dive into the lake and stay under for 15 seconds and then come up with salmon in her mouth which she would give to her cubs. She had experience and made it look easy.

Then there was this younger male bear which the guide said was 2-3 years old. He was very arrogant. And he did not know how to fish and whenver he got water in his ears he would get mad. What he finally did was found a shallow end of the lake and a fish carcass, strarting to eat that and fell head first into the lake. He jumped out of the lake, shock himself off and roared at her–even though it was his fault. I asked my friend if the male bear also gave her the finger and my friend said that from where he was sitting he could not tell.

  100. CountTheVotes Says:
So many of us evolved into PUMAs after she suspended, but it took a couple weeks to get our focus – if she is indeed chosen as VP, where do we go from here in the next chapter?
    =================

I suggest we go to “Obama Abdicate for Hillary!” or simply “Clinton/Obama!” — all the way to November.

Anyway it gives us an outlet to work for otehr than McCain.

At some point Obama will see that he is on track for McGovern of 2008, which will be teh end of him. Getting out of the line of fire, and elected Hillarly’s VP, is his best option.

He’s just flamboyant enough to pull something like that, even in October…. With a big speech about party unity….

  101. Debbie, that’s right. It feels good to know all the work and research we did on Rezko is finally being used.
    ———————————————
Admin: amen. And the best part is bambi opened the door. Thanks again for all your brilliant work on the rezko thing.

  102. LOL…I can’t stop smiling today. This is so delicious! No matter where or how Obama tries to attack McCain, the repubs are going to stomp him into the ground.

    texan4hillary,

Given that Hillary suspended her campaign a few months ago, I think those polling numbers are a great beginning. 🙂

  103. Oh Hillary would beat McCain. The Clinton political philosophy/ideology/whatever you want to call it is perfect for winning general elections. If Hillary gets the nomination it’s over. I’ll bet anyone any amount of money on that.

  104. McCain Prepares Rezko Ad; Wright “Now Fair Game”; GOP 527 Attacks
    21 Aug 2008 04:25 pm

Sen. John McCain’s campaign is finishing a hard-hitting television ad highlighting Barack Obama ‘s ties to shady Chicago land dealer Tony Rezko, the one-time Obama patron who was convicted earlier this summer of fraud.

A campaign official said that the decision to Go Rezko was Obama’s. “He’s opened the door to this,” the official said.

The ad will be released to network news divisions in time for their broadcasts tonight.

Though McCain is widely perceived to to drawn first blood by attacking Obama’s character, the official said that the difference between Obama’s mocking McCain for his wealth and his shaky answer on the number of homes he owns was that McCain’s charge “reflects an existential reality,” where Obama’s charges “attack Cindy. She owns the homes. I thought he said the wives were off-limits.”

McCain strategists hope that Obama’s brass knuckles punch doesn’t work. “Americans don’t like this class warfare stuff,” the official said. They aspire to be rich, the official said. They don’t aspire to eat arugala or hang out with celebrities.

Earlier in the news cycle, McCain’s press team invoked Obama’s friendship with a former member of the Weatherman, William Ayres, and an official said that even Obama’s former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, “is now fair game.” The official declined to say whether the campaign was contemplating running an advertisement linking Obama to Wright.

McCain also released a second web video mocking Obama as “The One.”

A group called the American Issues Project said it launched a 2.8 million television ad buy highlighting Obama’s ties to Ayres. The group calls itself “an organization representing a coalition of activists committed to raising conservative issues both during and after the election.” It includes longtime Republican activists like Ed Failor, Jr. of Iowa. Failor was a McCain adviser in the state. The ad will air in Ohio and Michigan. Here’s the script:

  105. Obama is a mouth that whores. An apology to the ladies of the night, they earn their keep and are honest about it.Obam a makes Fredie the freeloader look like a piker. From the evidence that is being put out by Fox and honest media, this human sponge Bob,never earned an honest dime in his life including his short time in dirty politics.Just look back during a debate when she got tired of his shabby remarks about her lack of caring about helpingthe poor and down trodden folks that he represents and she hit him with his feeding himself at the trough of the Chicago Arab Mafia. No wonder he loves the USA.If he lived with his relatives in the middle east,His lies and theivery would be costing him the amputation of his lying tongue and his stickey fingers.Folks we should not be wasting our time and resources on this tilldipper and put every once of our time and energy into electing the most remarkable woman of our time.I can still remember my eagle scout oath ad ijust fits our girl to a tee.quote
Hillary is Trustworthy,Loyal,Helpful,Friendly,Curteous,Kind,Obedient,Cheerful,Thrifty,Brave,Clean and Reverent.I must add Colorblind, unlike the Thief Of Baghdad who has the audacity to vilify and question her political acumen.

By ABM90. Do’nt worry about this mule.Load his wagon witw all his BS and send him on his way to oblivion if not a slammer.

  106. Admin, that is a sweet video from Guilda and Geeklove. After spending part of yesterday in tears with y’all (probably why I have a big headache today) it started up the waterworks again. What a lovely person she was – and how she was loved and respected.

  107. So Kaine is Obama junior, worthless, inexperienced, full of himself and Obama, and easy pickins?
    ——————————————–
The main thing hawke is kaine is no threat.

And of course he is a law professor like bambi, which calls to mind a quote by the late William Buckley: I would rather be ruled by the first hundred names in the Brooklyn phone directory than the entire faculty of Harvard Law School.

  108. True, I don’t think he is a threat to McCain at all. I am in contact with McCain’s Iowa state director. He asked me if I endorsed him, and I said I am unclear about his gay rights record, but I am leaning towards a protest vote for McCain.

  109. Obama promised Caroline Kennedy the ambassador to England for her switching her alliance to Obama–I thought she said he was her dad with a sun tan—hmmm, hmmmm
Wasn’t her dad mixed up with the Daley machine also??
What bullshit the campaign has turned in to.
    BTW; this was per FOX

  110. On Fox right now – asking McCain spokesperson about the house – reviewing the Rezko situation and more.

  111. Admin, thanks for that clip at the debate – I loved Stephanie Tubbs Jones clapping with a surprised smile when Hillary went after Rezko.

The best thing about STJ was that she wore her emotions so well on her face – and it was obvious she brought joy to those around her.

  112. BMerry today assembled the REZBAMA collected works:
    therealbarackobama.wordpress.com/2008/08/21/rezbama-gate-obamas-rezko-house/

  113. confloyd: I have a word for that, but I will refrain from saying it. Joe Kennedy was ambassador to England. FDR sent him there, to get him out of Washington and out of his hair (no pun intended).

Joe Kennedy used the Daley machine, to help elect JFK.

  114. Bird, Confloyd: the old tale is that while the Dems were stuffing ballot boxes for Kennedy in Cook County, the GOP was stuffing ballots into boxes for Nixon downstate!

    Key Chicago Annenberg Challenge Documents
I will post over the next few days the key Chicago Annenberg Challenge documents that I was able to obtain prior to the door being slammed in the face of NRO writer Stanley Kurtz by the University of Illinois
While the records I have, including board minutes, financial records and annual reports, are no substitute for the material apparently held by the University, they do help explain the close links between Barack Obama and Bill Ayers as I explored here

Behind the Annenberg Gate: Inside the Chicago Annenberg Challenge Records

  116. wbboei, Stevens lost his motion to change venue. The judge turned him down flat.

Idunn, he does look a bit like Billy Bob in Sling Blade. Mostly he reminds me of a pervy math teacher I had in middle school. You could totally see him trying to finger bang a 12yo. 😯

Con, yes. Caroline’s father was elected bc of the Chicago machine. There was some voter fraud stuff going on in that area and the mob was somehow in it. Personally, I don’t she is qualified. If she wants to run an art gallery or be an English prof, sure, but not diplomacy. Not with NATO and Russia probs…

Admin, do you think 👿 will spend too much altogether or do you think that it’s an issue McCain can exploit bc of the poor economy? Obviously money means nothing to 👿 . No wonder he’s so free with the stereotypical tax and spend policies. The GOP will slaughter him on it. If the shoe fits, kick him in the balls with it.

  117. Con: Good Luck!

Yeah, the Daley machine, and perhaps the mob were involved in the election. Then, RFK was made Attorney General (Joe’s request), and went after the mob, which created some hard feelings on their part.

  118. Yeah, this is a great hospital, I just need one to for 7 years, just enough time to reach retirement age, then the bar I have bought should be financial solvent. Here’s hoping my plans will be achieved!

  119. breaking news – John McCain’s Denver office rec’d letter with white powder and death threat.

  120. Daley drops himself in the shit on Ayers. Unbelievable.

Daley on Obama and Ayers: ‘They’re friends. So what?’

“People keep trying to align himself with Barack Obama,” Daley said. “It’s really unfortunate. They’re friends. So what? People do make mistakes in the past. You move on. This is a new century, a new time. He reflects back and he’s been making a strong contribution to our community.”

Completely unmentioned is whether documents held at a state-run university’s library, about a project to reform and improve public school systems, relating to a public figure who wants to be the next president, can be withheld from the public’s eyes.

Also note that Daley says that “people do make mistakes in the past,” although William Ayers has never expressed regret for setting bombs in places like the U.S. Capitol and women’s bathrooms in the Pentagon.

  121. Admin –

I’d love to have a conversation with you about this site. As you know, I have fiercely admired your work this go round, and expect to see what you’ve done here replicated in future campaigns. anyway, if you would kindly drop me a line, it would be much appreciated.

  122. Count, well that is what we going to live under now, anybody that gives the messiah any problems will be getting death threats!!

  123. confloyd – yes, exactly. I just want the rest of the death threats to her supporters and some of the vocal PUMAs and people like Geraldine Ferraro exposed. it has been a travesty that this info has been suppressed by Big Media to protect their Chosen One.

  124. The bots are going absolutely apoplectic tonight on the blogs. Its total fury meltdown. They are so enraged you can see the smoke rising from their ears in your head.

  125. breaking news – John McCain’s Denver office rec’d letter with white powder and death threat.

    What?!

  126. Half of what Obama says doesn’t make any sense, so it’s probably impossible to divine anything from these comments, but today Obama said about his VP pick:

    ———–
Obama said he wanted somebody who is ‘prepared to be president’ and who will be ‘a partner with me in strengthening this economy for the middle class and working families.’

He said he was looking for not just a partner but a sparring partner. ‘I want somebody who’s independent, somebody who can push against my preconceived notions and challenge me so we have got a robust debate in the White House.’

  127. A few thoughts:

    1) Kaine is a terrible VP choice, certainly worse than Bayh or Biden and exponentially worse than HRC. He won’t do a thing to bring back HRC voters. At least Biden knows foreign policy and can hold his own against the GOP. Another example of Obama’s bad judgment.

    2) Looks like Obama’s response to McCain’s “gaffe” now gives his campaign free reign to bring up Rezko, Ayres, Wright, etc. – an opportunity I’m sure they’ve been relishing.

  128. confloyd – i agree – I’m sure she’s gotten her fair share of death threats, and so had Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

I think if either had exposed what was going on from Obama supporters – along with threats to Sheila Jackson Lee, Emanuel Cleaver, Geraldine Ferraro, Diane Watson, it would’ve nipped this behavior in the bud. But the Democratic party is so politically correct “ooh, we Democrats are all about peace and joy and make love not war, we don’t have thugs.” – plus, people are afraid if any of those people sending threats are AA, suddenly, there will be accusations of racism.

  129. I hope this is not inappropriate to post, it is appropo for the situation.A long, long time ago a blogger posted that, Obamanationals, “..thought Obama’s BS was chocolate fudge.”I had a lot of fun with that quote and, put me in the slammer now as I am guilty as sin, taunted Obamanationals with snippets like eating chocolate fudge will make you fat, …see you’ve been eating that fugde again, I can see you are getting fatter, gained another pound, huh?I could not help myself, the devil made me do it. The Obamanationals had their wind knocked out of them when they were spewing hatred for our Hillary and calling us their favorite monikers like mf’r, _itch, and finally racists.

For all those going to Denver, I hope I get this poem right. The author is unknown to me:

    A BEST FRIEND

A friend is one who will make your bail when you are in jail.
A best friend would be sitting in the cell with you saying,
    “D@mn, that was fun.”

I miss Hillary as much as I know she misses Staphanie Tubbs Jones. STJ said: Step Up, Fire Up, Shut Up[naysayers]!!!!

  130. Doesn’t look like Kaine is in it anymore:

    blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/08/virginia-govern.html

  131. OMG I LOVE the “Moses” ad!!! ROTFLMAO! That is FUNNY!

And you know, that is Obama’s weakness – have you noticed that he fields straight-on attacks marginally well, but he HATES being MOCKED. It completely undoes him.

LMAO! Ohhhhh, this is so good! Keep mocking him, old man – he can’t take it!

  132. Confloyd, good luck next Tuesday!

    Bird says:
“RFK was made Attorney General (Joe’s request), and went after the mob, which created some hard feelings on their part.”

Hmmm. Then they were both unceremoniously murdered.

Moon: why are the bot melting down, exactly? I just don’t have the stomach to go look!

  133. I hate to say this but it does sound like Hillary! Well, if he accepts his v.p. and excepts this kind of team work, then it will be good for Hillary, but folks, what about all his horrible friends?

  134. Informed: That is one of the conspiracy theories surrounding JFK’s death. Was it a mob hit? Who knows? But, they helped to elect JFK, and then RFK went after them.

  135. Obama/Edwards – Get Screwed Twice.

    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2008/08/nyt-hot-on-story-of-john-edwards-and-the-mysterious-duke-gra.php

New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski is on a story. Serge, you’ll remember, is the reporter who brought us the tale of Ashley Alexandra Dupré, the young working lady who consorted with former New York governor Eliot Spitzer. What’s Serge up to? It looks slightly out of his normal range of Metro and local politics stories (although he does at times go national). All we know is it’s a story about John Edwards and a Duke graduate—and right now he’s combing the New York Times newsroom for Duke graduates to speak with. (We guess Times employees aren’t sortable on Facebook by college group!) Personal to Serge: There’s Stephen Labaton, class of ’86—but we think you’re looking for perhaps a more recent graduate? Oh gosh, we hope this is a nice story about how John Edwards was kindly to a college student with like tuition and helpful advice and stuff.

  136. Confloyd: Waffles will be in jail because of his horrible friends and past dealings and Hillary will be leading the country.

  137. Moon, I guess they are in a meltdown, they have threaten Senator McCain, who the hell are these Obamaoids anyway?

  138. DAMN!

Berkeley Vox Says: today Obama said about his VP pick:

He said he was looking for not just a partner but a sparring partner. ‘I want somebody who’s independent, somebody who can push against my preconceived notions and challenge me so we have got a robust debate in the White House.

He said something like that earlier this month, including HIllary’s signature phrases, “roll up our sleeves and get to work.”

Can’t we do a prowl or something saying “NO! WE DON”T WANT HILLARY VP!”

  139. uh oh-circulate to msm now please-

Attorney Phil Berg is at the court house right now at:

US District Court, Eastern District of PA
    601 Market Street
    Philadelphia, PA 19106-1797
    Ph: 215-597-7704

he is filing a complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief and a motion for an emergency temporary restraining order prohibiting Obama from running for presidency and enjoining the DNC from nominating Obama as our Democratic Presidential candidate.

  140. The bots are going nuts over McCains response and him daring to mention Rezko, that just flew them into jihaddy blow themself up mode

  141. confloyd Says: I hate to say this but it does sound like Hillary! Well, if he accepts his v.p. and excepts this kind of team work, then it will be good for Hillary, but folks, what about all his horrible friends?

Good for Hillary? To give up her Senate seat to iron his shirts and do WORM?

Let’s just hope we can defeat that whole ticket!

    PUMA!

  142. Okie, you are right about Kaine. In fact, do you remember the movie, “The Devil’s Advocate?” (Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves) Kaine looks a little like a darker-haired version of Keanu’s client from the beginning/end of the film. Yikes.

  143. Survey finds hunters, anglers favor John McCain

The survey, conducted by Braun Research, polled 1,009 sportsmen of which 45% said they’d vote for McCain, while 31% tilted toward Obama.

Asked whom they’d rather hunt with, 49% said McCain, 27% answered Obama. As a fishing partner, 44% favored McCain over Obama (31%).

“They’re just not sure how much fun Barack Obama would be in a duck blind,” said Steve Sanetti

What they didnt say was that the 27% of hunters who wanted Obama was they wanted him as the hunt target, they just misheard. Bad taste but probably accurate.

  144. he is filing a complaint for Declaratory and Injunctive Relief and a motion for an emergency temporary restraining order prohibiting Obama from running for presidency and enjoining the DNC from nominating Obama as our Democratic Presidential candidate.

    Based on what?

  145. Moon, what about the Bots? What’s got their undies in a knot? (I guess that’s a “bot-knot”)

  146. LMAO! Now the bots are being forced into a position of DEFENDING Ayers, because “it was a long time ago”. They are in frantic denial meltdown, and insisting that Obama’s “house” ad is going to really damage McCain….. It will it will it WILLLLLLL,

    WAAAAAAAAH!!

  147. Dear _____,

Yesterday, we lost a colleague, a friend, an inspiration, and a champion for all of us. I am deeply saddened by the death of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. She was my friend and my sister. She made me laugh, smile and fired up my spirit when I needed it most.

She had a light that shone for the world to see within her and a fighting spirit safely stowed behind her disarming smile. Stephanie had so much integrity and a fiery intelligence that enabled her to become a one-woman force for progress in our country.

Stephanie was a tireless worker, giving a voice to the voiceless and always combating injustice. Stephanie spent much of her life fighting for all Americans and to ensure that everyone had the most precious right – the right to vote.

All of us who were lucky enough to know her and love her can only strive to be as much like her as we can — to be as passionate, as loyal, as hard-charging, and as joyful every single day.

Stephanie was one of a kind, and we will miss our friend forever.

My family’s deepest condolences are with Stephanie’s son, Mervyn, her family, and her many loved ones, friends, supporters, and her beloved Ohioans. It is during this tough time that we look back and remember all the memories and blessings that Stephanie brought into our lives. If you have a thought, a story, a prayer, or condolences you would like to share, you can visit our website today so we can rejoice together in the friendship and love that we have for Stephanie. All the notes and memories we gather will be sent to her family on behalf of our extended family.

Send in your thoughts and memories about Stephanie.

    Thank you,

    Hillary

  148. Guys, you and I both know that the only reason Hillary would VP would be if Obama was going to be blown out of the water by Nov or Jan.

  149. Oy vey! I can just see Obama now, long list of VP candidates in hand, lots of cross-outs…lol…anybody left??? 😉

  150. Phil Berg, Attorney
A true fighter for the republic, Attorney Phil Berg, has taken up legal arms against the Federal Government on several occasions, including two RICO cases against the Bush administration for its complicit role, or conscious failure to act regarding the attacks on September 11th. This former Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General is currently representing Ellen Mariani — a 9/11 widow whose husband was last seen boarding Flight 175 which, according to the official report, had crashed into the 2nd tower of the World Trade Center. The lawsuit was filed against President Bush and several high level members of the Bush administration based upon: prior knowledge of 9/11; knowingly failing to act, prevent or warn of 9/11; and the ongoing obstruction of justice by covering up the truth of 911 — all in violation of the laws of the United States.

Berg’s second RICO case against the current administration was filed on behalf of 9/11 survivor and rescue hero William Rodriguez — a former maintenance worker at the WTC who single-handedly saved 15 people on that historic day and was the last to leave the North Tower alive. The lawsuit charged that the administration and other US political heads, law officials, governmental departments, corporations and contractors were either complicit in the attacks, or consciously let them happen in order to push forth their own tyrannical, political and personal agendas, which just happened to be outlined in the Project for a New American Century’s 2000 report entitled “Rebuilding America’s Defenses”. The case was shot down by the Supreme Court [big surprise there] soon after it was entered in October 2004. The court ruled that it was improper jurisdiction, since it was filed in Pennsylvania, and referred it back to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, which is part of the Air Transportation Safety and System Stabilization Act (ATSSSA), and states that the SDNY shall have original and exclusive jurisdiction over all actions regarding the attacks in lower Manhattan.

The one thing thats always annoyed me about her is her make up, she’s a clone of Katherine Harris. I mean how far would you have to poke through that makeup before you hit skin, 1 inch, 2,3,4.

  153. There is this one who is in PA and back in March told 👿 to withdraw due to Wright:

  154. This is a good artical.

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/08/obamas_lost_annenberg_years_co.html

The cloak of media invisibility is slowly beginning to lift from Barack Obama’s most important administrative leadership experience, helming an expensive educational reform effort in Chicago that failed to produce any measurable academic gains, according to the project’s own final report.

Add in the fact that former Weatherman and admitted terrorist William Ayers (whom Obama described in the Philadelphia debate as merely a “neighbor”) was head of the operating arm of the CAC, working with Obama on distributing scores of millions of dollars to grantees in the wards of the city, and you have a topic that the Obama campaign wishes to avoid at all costs.

A compliant media has averted its eyes so far. A timeline of Obama’s career from George Washington University omits it. Why the McCain campaign has not raised more questions on the subject is a question beyond my pay grade. But there are signs it is on the case.

The four plus years (1995-1999) Barack Obama spent as founding chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) represent his track record as reformer, as someone who reached out in a public-private collaboration and had the audacity to believe his effort would make things better. At the time he became leader of this ambitious project to remake the public schools of Chicago, he was 33 years old and a third year associate at a small Chicago law firm, Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland.

This was a big test for him, his chance to cut his teeth on bringing hope and change to the mostly minority inner city school children trapped in Chicago schools. And he flopped big time, squandering lots of money and the time of many public employees in the process.

Given Senator Obama’s lack of any other posts as leader of an organization, someone unschooled in the ways of the American media might expect that for months reporters have been poring over the records of the project to get an idea of how it managed to fail so badly. Examining the track record of the guy who wants to lead the federal government would seem to be part of the campaign beat for media organizations.

But as a matter of fact, until recently, only a few bloggers were looking into the most important organized effort ever led by Barack Obama, prior to his successful campaigns for public office.

    The Cover-up

Now, it appears a cover-up is underway, in order prevent journalists and researchers from getting access to the records of this charitable project housed in a taxpayer supported library. And there is a mystery:

The UIC Library says it is acting on behalf of the donor, whom it refuses to name.

It took Stanly Kurtz, of National Review Online to ask permission to see the files held by the publicly-funded University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). After initially agreeing, The Richard J. Daley Library withdrew permission. Kurtz writes:

“The Special Collections section of the Richard J. Daley Library agreed to let me read them, but just before I boarded my flight to Chicago, the top library officials mysteriously intervened to bar access. Circumstances strongly suggest the likelihood that Bill Ayers himself may have played a pivotal role in this denial. Ayers has long taught at UIC, where the Chicago Annenberg Challenge offices were housed, rent-free. Ayers likely arranged for the files of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge to be housed in the UIC library, and may well have been consulted during my unsuccessful struggle to gain access to the documents. Let me, then, explain in greater detail what the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) records are, and how I have been blocked from seeing them.”

It is highly unusual and legally questionable for a publicly-funded archive to deny access to records in its collection, particularly when they have a bearing on matters of intense public interest: the qualifications of a man seeking to be Commander in Chief.

But even if the university manages to stall release of the records until after the election, it is only drawing attention to the project. Already, the nation’s mainstream media have taken notice (however imperfectly) of the University’s unusual actions, albeit without exploring the subject in any depth yet.

In the midst of a heated presidential campaign, it is going to be hard to keep this interest in Obama’s Annenberg years contained, now that it has surfaced.

A blogger, Steve Diamond, has put together enough data from public sources to seriously embarrass Obama over the closeness of his association with Ayers in the project, and to describe the wrong-headed and politicized approach taken by the project. Anyone can go to this page and look at the latter half of the very lengthy post to see the data uncovered by this intrepid researcher. At a minimum, it proves that Obama has seriously misled the public about his association with Ayers. And it documents and analyzes some of the complex left wing politics underlying the effort.

As the public begins to notice this outlines of the history of the CAC presented by Diamond, more questions are bound to be asked.

    The First Cover-up

Diamond examined public documents, receiving cooperation from the Brown University Library, where the Annenberg Challenge Program national headuarters had been housed. Until, that is, Diamond’s requests for further information fell on deaf ears following publication of a post highlighting a grant to one of Ayers’ former revolutionary cohorts in the Weathermen. He writes:

“…while the representative from the university I originally corresponded with had been quite friendly and accommodating prior to my June 23 post, afterwards my additional requests for further information went unanswered. I did not pursue it at the time because I felt I had told a significant part of the story already. Thanks to the diligent work of Dr. Kurtz, however, we now know there is much more to know.”

So the appearance of a cover-up actually began in June.

If Ayers were the sole point of interest in seeking the Annenberg Challenge files promised to Kurtz, all “132 boxes, containing 947 file folders, a total of about 70 linear feet of material”, then the Obama camp might claim it was merely guilt-by association and persuade at least some of its own partisans. But the fact that Obama was in charge of a massive expensive project makes it indisputably a matter of proper vetting to examine his track record at delivering on promises of hope and change.

The Obama camp has already noted that it does not control the archives at UIC. All well and good, though it would be nice for the candidate to plead with the university and the mystery donor to let the sun shine on his track record. After all, he is a new kind of politician.

But even if he doesn’t, the Annenberg Challenge is slowly entering the national consciousness, and that’s very bad news for Barack Obama.

  156. Obama citizenship, Federal Court challenging Barack Obama’s qualifications to be President, US District Court, Eastern District of PA , PHILIP J. BERG, Complaint filed
    August 21, 2008 · No Comments

We were given a heads up earlier that a complaint was being filed in US District Court, Eastern District of PA. The complaint is a follows: ”for an emergency temporary restraining order prohibiting Obama from running for president, and enjoining the DNC from nominating Obama as the Democratic presidential candidate.”

The Texas Darlin blog has an update:

“This is the information I have received as of 5:28 PM EST:

Papers have been filed, not yet scanned into the Pacer system.

The complaint is asking for declaratory (asking the court to declare Obama is not a US citizen, a “natural born” citizen and not eligible under the qualifications of the US Constitution to run for Office of President).

Also asking for injunctive relief and an emergency TRO. Further asking for EXPEDITED Discovery.

We are asking that Obama provide a “ceritified copy” of the oath he took to regain his citizenship.
We are asking for court orders, ordering the state department, HI department of records and other governmental agencies to turn over any and everything on Obama, all certified.

    Plaintiff: PHILIP J. BERG”

  157. Something tells me, these ads were done and planned a long time ago waiting for the right occasion to drop them. You don’t do these in an afternoon, strategy has to be planned. Is it possible mcCain set a trap with the homes things knowing Bambi would take the bait and do exactly what he did. I’m beggining to wonder, its crossed my mind now, this rezko thing has been too sleek today. Its seem planned and thought out.

  158. I think its worth pointing out that Obama vigourously supported Kerry at the 2004 convention with his speech and i suppose Kerrys multimillion dollar estate and 5 homes. Hmm, I smell Hypocrisy.

  159. Oh the arrogance, i hope McCain hits him between the eyes after this.

OBAMA: “I’ve been right a lot more than he has for all that time he has spent in Washington.”

What an arrogant son of a bitch.

McCain Fights Back on Housing [Byron York]

Yuval makes an excellent point about what McCain actually said to the Politico reporters. From the transcript that is available, it is not at all possible to conclude that McCain either forgot or didn’t know how many houses he and his wife own. It seems to me that the fairest reading of it is that he didn’t want to talk about it. I mean, why would he want to say, “Let’s see, we’ve got the big condo in Phoenix, the ranch in Sedona, Arlington…”? It’s the classic kind of question that a politician will refer reporters to staff.

A few minutes ago, I talked to someone in the McCain camp about this. “John McCain never said he didn’t know how many houses he and Mrs. McCain have,” the person told me. “That is clear. He referred the questioners to his staff because this is a question that has been debated at the staff level with some reporters who, based on an inaccurate reading of Senate disclosure forms, have reported more homes than the McCains actually own, and some press reports that have indicated fewer homes than they actually own. So, by trying to avoid a debate about the holdings of the Hensley Family Trust, he simply attempted to move on to the next question.”

My source expects McCain to get roughed up quite a bit in the current news cycle. “The next 24 hours are not going to be rosy,” he told me. But Team McCain believes that they can get the long-term advantage by bringing new attention to the Obama-Tony Rezko connection. “We feel like it will sting in the course of the 24-hour news cycle, but in the long run, by Obama’s making a flimsy attack about houses, we will get more bang for our buck by talking about Tony Rezko.” We shall see.

  161. Dear

    Thank you,

    Hillary

Let me just close by saying this. I will put my judgment on foreign policy over the last seven years against John McCain’s anytime. And I think that an objective analysis will say that I’ve been right a lot more than he has for all that time he has spent in Washington.”

Who the fuck does he think he is?

  163. Just on Fox, A quote from Hillary about her whips at the convention, she said if anyone gets out of hands her whips are to hold up Obama signs.
Well that is what she has convince the idiots but they are there I think to make sure the goons don’t beat up her supporters and if they do, she will have proof of what they are doing!! Sly as a fox she is!

  164. Judgement on foreign policy? What judgement? He was never in a POSITION to EXCERCISE any freaking JUDGEMENT in the last 7 years. He joined the senate and ran for president!

He’s voted to fund the war. He’s not faced any TOUGH votes on foreign policy – none whatsoever.

  165. Obama please go home! I’m sick of hearing your voice. I’m sick of looking at your smug face. I’m tired of the fraud you are perpetrating on America.

    Enough already!!!

  166. Okie, the news last night was just an internet rumor, so as far as I know there is no new news! Sorry Ed and Momma E are pretty despondent!

  167. HFT.

Hilarious isnt it and he just issued a challenge to McCain, what an ass. He only came into the Senate in Jan 2005. 3 1/2 years and what foreign policy.

  175. moon,

    Update 1: Case #08-CV-4083

This is the information I have received as of 5:28 PM EST:

Papers have been filed, not yet scanned into the Pacer system.

The complaint is asking for declaratory (asking the court to declare Obama is not a US citizen, a “natural born” citizen and not eligible under the qualifications of the US Constitution to run for Office of President).

Also asking for injunctive relief and an emergency TRO. Further asking for EXPEDITED Discovery.

We are asking for court orders, ordering the state department, HI department of records and other governmental agencies to turn over any and everything on Obama, all certified.

  176. I wonder if they are trying to scare of us ladies into not going to Denver?? The cyanide, now the white powder, and of coarse all the dead people.

  177. So I have two questions for Obama. Apparently he has given all of Rezko’s donations to his campaign to charity. If he knew from the start that Resko was corrupt, why did he take the money in the first place? If he knew that Resko was corrupt, why did he accept his help to buy a house?

  178. And why is it that he always has an excuse for his wrongdoings and sinister connections but never does anything about it until the issue is forced on him?

Oops…I forgot the guy walks on water.

  181. great post admin..and
My prayers and thoughts for S. Jones and her family,
Hillary had the greatest person by her side. fighting for women, you got that right jan, makes me ill when i hear his voice,he lies and believes those lies,BO will have us poor and working in the streets and no homes we cannot let him be a nominee never for the democratic party.

GO Home…BARAC O your lies make me sick!!!!! I’m quoting lou dobbs radio show few mintues ago BO..is just another senator, who wont do nothing we all want change, but not pocket change.lou made me lol…
NO Obama he won’t change Nothing .

  182. damn the gop isnt waiting for obama to be crowned. they realize how stupidly race guilted and corrupt party eleders are. funny-bc the party will be in huge trouble and may lose seats over all this. bet next ad will target candidates on this. mccain is defining obama at warp speed.

  183. Texan, the amazing thing is, we all warned them, we have been saying this for months, Hillary said it for months, none of them bothered there ass listening.

    So fuck em’

  184. I will keep you all posted about Ed’s news tonight, apparently there is some. Probably the injunction filed today, but I will keep you all posted!

  185. confloyd Says: I hate to say this but it does sound like Hillary! Well, if he accepts his v.p. and excepts this kind of team work, then it will be good for Hillary, but folks, what about all his horrible friends?
    =================

    confloyd,

I’m so sorry, I got distracted and went into my usual stump rant!

I meant to say, why should we BELIEVE a word BO says about ‘team work’ or anything else?

He’s pandering to the Hil’s now, to get the nomination. If he gets it, he’ll throw Hillary under the bus to pander to the rightwingers, along wiht FISA, his Black supporters, abortion, etc etc.

Then if he got elected in November, he’d throw them ALL under — for whoeve he needs then, which would probably be some big money source….

  186. I have only been gone for a few hours, and this blog has exploded. As usual, you have updated me, and kept me current without look at the Media, and I trust you more.

It is going to take me a while to digest what all has happen this afternoon.

    Amazing.

SDs I think you know what is happening here. Thank God you have not voted yet.

  187. I wish the Republican would also do a housing ad directed to working and middle Americans by connecting Team Obama housing slam as an economic issue.

Home ownership is part of the American dream, from farm house to vacation home..to rental to condo Americans have invested in their country since the start of this nation.

Many immigrants got their first home by coming to America. Home ownership is apart of the American Dream. Many average Americans own homes as an investment for their children……

John McCain knows this that why he fought for increasement in VA loans, yada, yada, yada.

McCain should twist Obama attack at him and make it about the American People and want they want and need.

At the same time bring up Rezko and Chicago Corruption….but I do like that new Moses ad the GOP dropped.

  188. how can msm avoid this issue anymore? its on people’s tvs now all day in ads. everyone will be talking about it. how can a major party nominte this man? think his numbers sucknow? give it a day or two. his numbers are about to collapse. word is out supers. and guess what-u will be next to eb knocked out because u backed obama.

  189. turndown, All I meant is that I will not make up my mind who to vote for until Nov 4th if Hillary is the vp. I think Hillary is way to smart to let that happen to her, afterall she knows the downfalls of the vice presidency, she is a damn good lawyer, she also has damn good lawyers so I will not close my mind to it before it happens or will I close my mind to it until I observe it for a while. I may be against it then, but right now I TRUST Hillary!

  190. turndownobama-com,

I feel just as strongly as you about Hillary NOT being vp. How can she still stand up for this guy?

I’ll just be glad when he names his vp and it won’t be Hillary!!!! (I hope)

    Moon,

You are on a roll. You have better jokes about Obama than the late night talk show hosts. They can take pointers from you.

  191. Hi, all: I just went away for a few minutes! What a day!
IMHO, McCain has had those ads in the can for weeks, at least. Probably just tweaked them a bit when the trigger event (“seven houses”) broke. Wow! His new campaign manager is really good.

  192. I’m aware my posts won’t be put up, but I had to say something about what you have up there about Obama choosing Edwards, lol. Wouldn’t that be great? Loved the slogan below it also, lol.

I pray that he doesn’t choose Hillary or if he does, she will turn him down cold, because I have decided not to vote for Obama even if she is VP. I will not have a part in putting him in office, even if it means voting against him and Hillary.

I pary the SD’s will vote her in to run for president. Nothing else will do.

    Go Hillary!!!

I love reading this blog. It’s so nice to have someplace to go where everyone is supporting Hillary.

I pray Obama keeps sinking. It’s so fun to watch, lol.

  193. Obama’s probably mad that they delivered his stash to the wrong presidential candidate.

He’s probably on the phone going “you sent my goods to the wrong place, I told you to send the good white stuff to the next President, how do i get my hit today, seriously do i have to go out and get it myself”

  194. By the way, I’m from Pa and I will be very dissapointed if PA doesn’t go for Hillary. I know we did in the primary, but I don’t know about the general. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and do alot of praying.

  195. Turndown, Bottom-line we must have her as the nominee, then we will have no problems! I really dont want her to settle for second best when she is not, she should be our POTUS, and no one else!

  196. Never mind Mr McCain, she would prefer that Monica Lewinsky rather than Mr Obama was elected to the Oval Office this November.

    Hilarious and true

  197. She’s nailed this

    Those mudslinging Democrats

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/08/21/EDS612DR16.DTL

In politics, everyone wants to be seen as a mudslinging virgin – who, like King Lear, is “more sinned against than sinning.” Toward that end, Democrats have crafted the conceit that Republicans are attack dogs, while Democratic candidates are not sufficiently ruthless. After years of calling President Bush every name in the book, the left nonetheless manages to see itself as the victim in the smear game.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama knows how to play to that conceit. In a speech before a Veterans of Foreign Wars gathering in Florida on Tuesday, Obama went into woe-is-me mode as he responded to Republican candidate John McCain’s criticism of Obama’s opposition to the successful U.S. troop surge in Iraq.

    Read on………………

  198. Obama is just like Monica, i bet he’s blew a few officials to get where is today as well.

Monica the Matress and Oral Obama could open a political brothel together.

  199. middle america will never accept obama. this one clear ad of obama and his terror buddy seals it and we aint into sept yet. wait till khalidi-bing goes the jewish vote. then said. mccain is headed for a reaganeque route. the gop will have a blast next week crowing over the obama/ayres nom. one they finish him they move on to dem congress seats and others. anyone with real sense can see this fiasco.

  200. There is something strange here. We all felt that McCain would have Rezko stuff ready to go right after the convention. Have hired the A people he did recently, of course they were ready early.

Why would Obama pick this housing fight that leads right to Rezko? I know his people are smarter than that.

  201. The RNC has been working on the ammo for months, they have a lot of shit to deliver and they will deliver it cold and viciously.

  202. It is the timing of this also. He wants to look strong before the convention? But with the punch back so strong, which one would have known it would be, what has he gained from this, but look weak again.

Then how much he spent last month, and he got negative polls.

He thinks this attack is going to stop the slide? He thinks this will make him look strong in front of the SDs. I really don’t understand.

  203. This is convenient after Obama comes back from Hawaii. We were right. He’s been out there fiddling.

Factcheck.org say they have seen and check Obama’s birth Cert.

    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html

FactCheck.org staffers have now seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate. We conclude that it meets all of the requirements from the State Department for proving U.S. citizenship. Claims that the document lacks a raised seal or a signature are false. We have posted high-resolution photographs of the document as “supporting documents” to this article. Our conclusion: Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said.

  204. Chris Matthews, Cavuto, and Brit Hume have all said publicly today that Hillary’s voters will decide this election.

Told ’em not to piss us off and throw us under that bus. Payback’s a bitch. ROAR! 👿

  205. So tell me why fact check is in charge of determining whether a Presidential Candidate is eligible for office. Don yo think there should be an official national office that would do that, or have we always gone on, they said so.

  206. I was listening to one of my favourite songs, it reminds me so much of Hillary when i listen to it, its by a Serbian singer called Marija Serifovic, its called “Destiny”. I thought I would share the words with you, if you get a chance to listen to it, its a wonderful ballad.

    It’s been a long way
I try hard not to fall apart
    Every night I pray
And your voice is singing in my heart

    I have been waiting
A long time for you to show me my hand
    Loving and hating
    Desires that I don’t understand

    I can’t breathe, I can’t sleep
Why can’t I get through to you?
    I can’t think, I can’t speak
    What am I to do?

    Destiny
I’ve been looking for something to guide me
    Destiny
Even though I’ve tried I can’t deny you
If I let you go, I’d betray my soul
I know that you are something more
    Even though nothing’s spoken for,
The way that you feel the same about me
    Destiny

Read the stars and see my scars
I feel so low when you’re away
So reach out, it’s not so far
    Listen to me pray

    Faith is within me
    My Destiny

  207. That lack of response on the question of his birth is another arrogant response. He does not think he has to prove anything to the American people.

Now if German asked for it he would probably have provided that information quickly.

    Does that tell you something.

  208. I am dedicating this to Stephanie Tubb Jones and to Hillary because they both deserve it.

i have always thought and a shame the campaign never used this song it was Dolly Parton – Eagle when she flies.

    Lyrics:

Shes been there, God knows, shes been there
She has seen and done it all
Shes a woman, she know how to
Dish it out or take it all
Her hearts as soft as feathers
    Still she weathers stormy skies
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies
    A kaleidoscope of colors
You can toss her around and round
You can keep her in you vision
But youll never keep her down
Shes a lover, shes a mother
Shes a friend and shes a wife
And shes a sparrow when shes broken
But shes an eagle when she flies

    Gentle as the sweet magnolia
Strong as steel, her faith and pride
    Shes an everlasting shoulder
Shes the leaning post of life

  209. LOL! Oooooo, I am getting urgent emails from the DNC “Rapid Response Team”, trying to fluff Obama’s “house” ad an get me to to write my local newspaper about the evil rich McCain!

I sent them a lovely reply:

Clue: Americans don’t think being rich is a bad thing. Mr Hopey McChangey will never get this PUMA’s vote. Ever. I hope to God Clinton doesn’t follow this loser over the cliff, but even if she does, I am not going with her.

You guys bought this clown, and you own him. Good luck. This Democrat wants nothing to do with him.

  210. Apparently Obama’s appearing on Sat in Springfield IL with his VP. Hmmm…. probably a crazy thought, but we all know Hillary’s an Illinois native….

What a heartening scenario being unfolded before the world.Yes folks the WORLD.The only candidate that is respected and admired everywhere. Both she and Bill can go any where at any time and be honored as true friends of their people. In the meantime McCain and Obama are carrying on trench warfare in their campaigns and give off a sense pathetic desparation.Hands off people and let them destroy each other with childish and stupid criticisms. 214. Carter to speak at Democratic gathering
    Aug. 22, 2008

Both major US parties rolled out presidential convention line-ups this week packed with speakers who should appeal to Jewish voters. But Republicans say the Democrats are also featuring one politician who damages more than helps their appeal for that constituency’s vote.

Former Democratic president Jimmy Carter will be among those appearing on Monday night in Denver, the first day of the four-day convention. The Republican convention will run from September 1-4 in Minneapolis.

The Republican Jewish Coalition has attacked Carter’s inclusion, accusing him of displaying “a troubling anti-Israel bias” for his recent visit with Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal and his “error-filled, egregiously biased book,” Palestine: Peace not Apartheid.

Some Democrats are also displeased. “I don’t think that seeing Jimmy Carter makes anyone who cares about Israel comfortable,” said one Jewish Democrat attending next week’s convention, who acknowledged, however, “He’s a former president of the United States from the Democratic party and they’re almost obliged to give him a speaking role.”

A Democratic Party official pointed out that former living presidents were accommodated by both parties, and stressed that Congressional party leaders as well presumptive nominee Barack Obama had publicly disagreed with Carter’s attitude toward Israel.

Because of that stance, according to Democratic party sources, Carter’s profile at the convention has been downgraded, with him relegated to speaking early on Monday when audience attention should be at a minimum. He is not expected to discuss the Middle East.

Democrats are also counting on other speakers popular with the Jewish community to compensate for his appearance. Jewish legislators Robert Wexler, a representative from Florida and an early backer of Obama, New York Senator Chuck Schumer, and Rahm Emmanuel, the House’s Democratic Caucus chairman and a representative from Obama’s home state of Illinois, and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell are all scheduled to appear. Sen. Hillary Clinton, whom large numbers of Jews preferred over her rival Obama, will be the “headline, prime-time speaker” on Tuesday.

The GOP also have a number of Jewish speakers, including Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota, the state hosting the convention, and Gov. Linda Lingle of Hawaii, the state where Obama grew up. The most prominent, however, will be Sen. Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, who two presidential elections ago took the stage at the Democratic convention as Al Gore’s running mate.

Lieberman once again finds himself on the short list for VP choices, but this time for presumptive Republican nominee John McCain. Lieberman has spent considerable time stumping for McCain and growing close to a politician known for valuing personal relationships and following his instincts rather than conventional wisdom.

Lieberman, a registered Independent who caucuses with the Democrats in the Senate, is set to speak on the Republican convention’s opening night in a bid to emphasize McCain’s “maverick” reputation and willingness to cross party lines in an attempt to woo undecided voters as well as the Jewish community. In a similar vein, former New York City major Rudy Giuliani deliver the keynote address on Tuesday night. The favorite of Jewish Republicans before he dropped out of the race, the featured address by a pro-choice figure is an attempt to sway moderates.

The Democratic National Committee is also trying to win over Jewish voters with nonpolitical participants at its convention.

A record seven rabbis will take part in the events surrounding the convention, with four denominations – Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist – represented. Rabbi Tzvi Weinreb, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union, will deliver a keynote speech at the interfaith gathering to be held Sunday ahead of the convention’s opening, and the invocation ahead of Obama’s acceptance speech on Thursday night will be delivered by Rabbi David Saperstein, director of the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism.

Rabbi Ira Flax, a former army chaplain and rabbi of Beth Israel in Biloxi, Mississippi, whose synagogue was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, will offer the invocation at the Republican convention on September 3.

With thousands of America’s political leaders and members of the media gathered in the same place, the conventions also present an opportunity for interest groups and advocacy organizations to promote their causes.

The Israel Project, which tries to present Israel’s case to the media and American public, will be broadcasting 1,300 TV spots on four major cable news networks during the two conventions.

They will focus on US and Israeli joint projects to reduce the world’s dependence on Middle East oil as well as a warning of the danger posed by Iran.

The ad campaigns and other outreach efforts, include polling, leaflets, and volunteers, over the two weeks amounts to a $1 million campaign by The Israel Project.

“There are going to be interest groups there who will spend $1m. on a party,” said Israel Project President Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi, referring to the wining and dining that rounds out the convention scene. The Jewish community has traditionally held galas at both conventions, but this year will only hold events to honor Jewish and pro-Israel politicians.

“We don’t want to be feeding people shrimp. We want to be feeding people substance,” she said, adding that if the Israel Project did provide any food, “it won’t be treif.”

  215. Is this true? (FROM CARBYNEW, 7:39)

” … Mr Obama is scheduled to be officially nominated by Caroline Kennedy, the last surviving descendent of the slain President and the woman who, on the basis of no obviously relevant qualification whatsoever, was notionally tasked with overseeing the selection procedure for the vice-presidential running mate. The choice of Ms Kennedy for this role is no accident. The Kennedy clan, determined to ward off the unwanted competing claim of the Clintons to be the first family of Democratic politics, backed Mr Obama early in the race and delivered vital liberal support to him. He in turn has been eager to wrap himself in the JFK mantle.

  216. so much for the dynasty thing and the change thing. A kennedy is about as dynastic and backwards you can get.

  217. apparently the only way that BHO thinks he can win is have some obamabot yahoo send mail threats to McCains offices .

we don’t need people like this on the streets. as a matter of fact we don’t need people like this in the USA.

It’s time the obamabots stop threatening people that don’t agree with them and law enforcement needs to crack down now…and that includes the likes of the dnc.

  218. The McCain campaign are clever

I thought Obama said their wives were off-limits.”…

Obama just opened all doors on rezko, ayers and Michelle. Well done the junior senator from Illinois.

  219. I think Hillary will be VP. Check out her comments today in Fla. The “all about winning” comment gives it away, IMO.

ABC News’ Eloise Harper reports: Sen. Hillary Clinton took questions from local reporters in Tamarac, Fla., Thursday and was asked twice if she is going to be on the 2008 Democratic ticket.

Clinton responded saying, “Anything about the vice presidential choice should be directed to the Obama campaign.”

Clinton said she is all about winning, and any tension between the two camps regarding the nominating process or the convention is nonsense.

“I think some people are trying to make something of what’s not there. You know we have worked through this. Both of us agreed that this would be in the best interest of our party and of the winning. I’m all about winning,” she said.

Clinton attempted to make the point that she has gone further in supporting her formal rival than her predecessors.

“Most people who competed as hard as I did and did well, go to the convention with their delegates. They hold on to their delegates,” Clinton continued, “they have a contested floor fight, they have a contested nomination fight they fight over rules or credentials or the platform, there’s lots of things to fight over. And that’s not what we are doing we are you know were really trying to respect and recognize the very strong feelings that the 18million people who voted for me had.”

When it was suggested to Clinton that she wasn’t being very enthusiastc about Senator Obama, she responded saying, “Well you know I’ve had a lot of people thank me for being so enthusiastic. You know you can talk to people and get a million different responses. I have done more for Senator Obama in the last two months than anybody in my position has ever done for a winning nominee and I’m very proud of that.”

Clinton also said that her work has been paying off saying, “I’ve been all over the country campaigning for him and making the case for him and I think it is having an effect.”

  220. That last comment must be in code, as “I’ve been all over the country campaigning for him and making the case for him and I think it is having an effect.”

Yes, he is going lower in the polls.

  221. Not to mention that more of your supporters have left him.

Hum, maybe she should join the ticket to solidify the defeat.

  222. Obama may reluctantly name her VP to try to save his sorry ass. And she may accept, for her own reasons. I won’t judge how she feels she has to proceed, to still have some hope of doing good for this country. That’s her decision. But I still won’t vote for him.

  223. nmf: She better be careful. He is going down, down in the polls.

One of the volunteers was so happy talking about BO, telling me that her sister is a delegate for him and I should join in as a volunteer.
I kind of hedged without leaving my name or details.

Yesterday I received a postcard invitation in snail mail to celebrate DNC convention with them for a $100…with 2 parties.
    – on Monday..the opening day
    – on Thurs..BO’s speech.

Well, today I tore off my name, wrote NOBAMA, PUMA on it and then went down to the office. I was lucky that a volunteer was hovering at the door.
I handed the card to her personally!!!

I do not know how they got my address; my friend has been living in that district as registered, donating democrat for over 25 yrs and she got no invite!

  228. Daryl on hcsfjm has said that the Arkansas Chair was to of said on 8/12 that he would back Hillary’s name on the ballot and the only state chair to do so. Arkansas is one of the first states to be called during the roll call vote and could trigger a wave of states going for Sen. Clinton.
THe next day he was shot on 8/13.
8/14 Hillary got the roll call vote and now they AR police have found a set of old keys that belonged to the dealership owned by the state chair and they did not fit anything at the dealership and looked like planted evidence!

So the PD thinks they were put there as a plant to make it look like he had keys to the dealership. Its look suspicious.

Did anyone hear anymore about the powder at Senator McCain office??

  240. Just did my personal Prowl for today, sent this to info@hillaryclinton.com with CC to all supers.

    Hillary,
Please don’t take VP. Don’t prop up Obama. We will work doubly hard against a ticket that would make you his servant.
Better McCain for four years than Obama/Clinton.
If possible, please fight to get the nomination in Denver — Clinton/Obama. Other wise pls stay in the Senate.
    Flora Steele

Actually I should send cc to Pelosi, Dean, etc and media but I don’t have those handy. This means info@hillaryclinton.com will get a dozen copies, but oh well….

  241. Apparently the idea that this shooter worked for the chair at the dealership set off a search in his apt for anything to prove that and they found a set of key that were supposed to be evidence of his employment at the dealership, the only thing is is that none of those keys fit anything at the dealership.

Were the keys special keys that would indicate that they were from the dealership or something? What made them think they were dealership keys to begin with?

  242. this may be a silly theory, but why would senators and reps want a president that could get things done and bring solid solutions to the white house.

again this is a silly theory but the “do nothing congress” does not want to do anything ( well yes really they do want to screw the taxpayer and keep their seats) and an aggressive president would surely bring unwanted attention to this fact.

Nancy Pelosi wants what she wants when she wants it and having a strong democratic president (especially another woman)tell her what to do aint gonna happen.

The other element is that the democrat party much like the labor unions, is focusing on 2042 when whites will be a minority (34 years from now!!). By this I mean they are “now” going after the minorities to build their base. (Dean said the whites are republican anyway and this wasn’t a slip, this is how they see the future) i believe this is what Axelrod and Brazile were eluding to as well.

How pitiful, our once proud inclusive party has lost it’s way.

  243. If McCain is smart, he will pick a Latino VP. But I’m not sure who is Latino and qualified on the Republican side.

  244. Idunn, he did not go into all that and I caught the discussion late, maybe its in the news papers in Arkansas, I will look it up.

  245. HillaryforTexas

That is interesting. Maybe we can get Richardson to change parties.

Actually I would not wish him on McCain. Anyway, he did not endorse O until all major Hispanic States had voted (His even went to HRC), and then he went to Panama was it? They went to HRC as I remember, so you see he would not be much help.

But then they would have to vet him, and that is a problem.

  246. I have a question. If I already maxed out for Hillary’s campaign, am I able to help pay down her debt, or will it roll over to Bambi?

  247. im thinking now it is not hillary. i read today kaine’s staff was in mtgs with team obama today. kaine? dont think it is bayh. still place bets for biden. could hillary prop up obama against rezko? khalidi?

  248. My money is on Biden. God, I hope so. Easy target! There is video of him out there, extolling McCain’s virtues, and trying hard to get him to be Kerry’s running mate in 2004.

BUT… something’s verrry strrrrange. Why are the repugs lowering the boom on BO NOW?! Don’t they want him to be nominated so they can pulverize him? It can’t be they want HRC, can it? What the hell is happening?! Will we ever understand all the crazy machinations?

  253. lil ol grape, maybe they have decided he has rigged the voting machines and they need to win every state by a large margin to overcome the voting machine fraud.
The stupid superdelegates better wake up if they want to keep their seats!

  254. Hmm, well, it’s a little bit of a reach but no, with so much fraud going on, you might just be onto something, Con — I mean, he IS always saying he’s going to win. We say how arrogant he is, but maybe that IS the reason he seems so certain the game is his. Sheesh!

  255. Con, good luck with the interview Tuesday. Isn’t it nice to know you have the gang at 44 pulling for you — sending good thoughts your way?

    agree with turndownobama-com.

I think the Republicans know there’s too long of a shot for HRC to get the nomination, so it’s safe to go after him…even if HRC becomes VP – and if she does, even more reason to drop as much as possible now so the Convention shows little bump – if BO’s numbers go way up with an HRC VP announcement, then the Republicans are in trouble. Also, the Conventions are when people are starting to pay attention, plus:

I was just telling a friend this re: Shock and Awe and the first bombing of Iraq – the US bombed Iraq at a time they did not suspect, and during the Convention when BO and his staff are all distracted by the Coronation, their guard will be down, and this is the time for McCain to drop the Shock and Awe about Obama’s checkered history.

Obama campaign caught by FEC – Obama to mend spending report

They must show they paid 832,000 dollars to CSI who are convicted of election fraud.

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat’s campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. — a subsidiary of ACORN — worked in “get-out-the-vote” projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.

FEC spokeswoman Mary Brandenberger said it is not unusual for campaigns to amend reports, even regarding large sums of money.

But, said Blair Latoff, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee: “Barack Obama’s failure to accurately report his campaign’s financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign’s interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing ‘new’ politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the ‘old-style’ Chicago politics of yesterday.”

  270. The media, with all their obsessive tingly reporting of Obama’s every eyebrow lift, are starting to remind me of one of those really boring mothers.

You know, the one who thinks the whole world is just as interested in her little darling as she is, who cannot have a single conversation without regaling you with endless details of his prodigy, his cuteness, his stubbed toe, his bowel habits.

Word to Wolf Blitzer on the veepstakes: Most of us are now bored with the breathless “who will be Junior’s prom date???” drama. Put the “first birthday with cake on face” pictures back in your wallet, you are embarrassing.

  271. alcina,

It’s not the fact that McCain has all these houses, it’s the way he answered the question when it was brought up. Obama is attacking his: “I don’t know, I’ll have to check with my staff” answer. Once again Obama is attacking McCain’s memory (age issue) and also trying to make it seem as if McCain’s answer was flippant and disrespectful given the housing situation in the U.S.

McCain’s people are fighting back now not just because they think Bobo has it all sewn up, but because the media are so slanted in Bobo’s favor and will run with this otherwise.jmo

  272. Obama and media have nothing else they can throw at McCain so they are going to milk even the most minor issue into as big a one as they can. 😉

  273. janh

you are right. the bots are ruthless in attacking McC’s age. that’s ok with me, tho. it’s all those bumbling, forgetful old folks that will turn-out in droves on november 4, 2008.

  274. JanH, McCain already explained that

    a) many of the houses are Cindy’s, NOT his, and he does not meddle in her finances. She’s an independent businesswoman.

    b) Some of the houses are mere investment properties – that he has never seen nor stayed in. They are not flitting around the world LIVING in 7 houses.

I have a friend who is a volume “house flipper”. I’ll bet if I asked him, he probably wouldn’t know off the top of his head how many properties he owns at a given time.

  275. Valid point, all this attacking McCains age are pissing off the older voters. Why are they doing that. I find it disgusting, its like attacking all aged voters.

  276. alcina

McCain has forgotten more information than O knows right now.

McCain knew exactly what was happening in Russia/Georgia; however, the staff paper that has to be handed to O right before he does everthing was not available in time for his meeting with the Press.

So he might forget a few things, but he know more than O, and remembers the IMPORTANT STUFF.

  277. Oh, I DO hope they go too far on the ageism. So far they think they’ve been pretty subtle (snicker snicker), but they make the mistake of thinking old people are stupid and won’t “get” the insinuations and inside jokes. Trust me, they are “getting” it.

Old people (by and large) don’t blog and make a lot of noise and jump in front of cameras. They have lives. They’re busy. But DAMN do they vote, reliably.

  278. HillaryforTexas,

I think Obama is more into the “flippancy” aspect of the answer, or at least what he has perceived as being one. People are losing homes left and right and….

Obama has nothing on McCain but that’s not going to stop him. The guy is an idiot!

  279. bots feel it is their privilege to put down anyone who does not fit-in with their demographic. seniors, boomers, working-class, middle-age women, etc. they say they don’t need them. don’t need their votes.

the smug little bastards will learn a big lesson this fall.

  280. This age stuff is a sore point with me. It’s as if someone turns 65+ and all of a sudden they don’t have a brain anymore, can’t make decisions, are just plain stupid. The fact that they have given more to this country than Obama and his upstarts doesn’t matter.

    I’m seeing red again…sigh!

  281. Hubby mentioned yesterday that the reason O went to Hawaii, KNOWING that Georgia/Russia was tense and about to blow, was because he’s an idiot and his handlers know it.

Hubby said, “That was no vacation. That was a hurried attempt to get him away from the cameras before this thing broke, and have advisors cram him with info to memorize, before he could say something really clueless on TV. It was intensive prep and damage control.”

Hubby is a veteran, who worked some military intelligence in his day. He’s a brilliant man, who thinks Oblowme is a joke.

  282. I agree that’s what they were going for, Jan. But I watched the actual full clip. It truly didn’t come across as flippant, or even as if JM wouldn’t know the answer if he stopped and thought about it.

It appeared to me like he was just impatient with the stupidity and irrelevance of the question, and waved it away to “I dunno, ask my staff. Now, as I was saying…..”

Obama is trying to spin it, but my gut says that the average American will see what I saw, and roll their eyes.

Obama Sued in Philadelphia Federal Court on Grounds he is Constitutionally Ineligible for the Presidency

    by Jeff Schreiber
    America’s Right.com

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit–just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver–for the health of the Democratic Party.

“I filed this action at this time,” Berg stated, “to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.”.

Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator’s background, and in today’s lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a naturalized U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls “dual loyalties” due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.

Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator’s use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of “multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries” remains on the table.

In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, “apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight.” As Sen. Obama’s own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham–Obama’s mother–gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.

Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama’s birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals–Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital–in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple “registry of birth” records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.

Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama’s mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a “natural born” citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.

Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed “natural born,” that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama’s registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name “Barry Soetoro” and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.

The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama’s half-sister.

“Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama’s lies and obfuscations,” Berg stated. “If the DNC officers … had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws.”

“It is unfair to the country,” he continued, “for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected.”

  284. I am not a lawyer here, but I did have a child born on a military base, to 2 American citizens. They have a foreign birth certificate, an embassy certificate, and a paper I had generated in the US stating they were born in a foreign country but had two American citizens for parents.

When I checked this stuff out, I found out a few things.

    1. My child had duel citizenship, foreign citizenship, and American citizenship, as the country born in allows people to have more than one citizenship.

    2. If the child had been born in the US, however, this country allowed only one citizenship, so if they took on another, they lost the US citizenship as we allow only one.

I don’t think that has changed.

  285. OMG meiyingsu!

How much more can waffles and the DNC handle? They have become laughingstocks!

I sure hope this lawyer has bodyguards (not a threat, just worried that the obomabots have him on their hit list now).

  286. One would have thought the DNC would have researched this candidates citizenshiip a long time ago, and at the first question of this had been able to lay it out cold.

    It the DNC that incompetent?

  287. JanH

So where is this glorious Coronation. The Party appears to have handed the leadership over to Os group, and they are floundering.

I saw someone say he had such a magnificant organization. OK SO WHAT HAPPENED.

The Presidential Convention is going to make the Dems look terrible. Not only have they truncated the freedom process in their primary process, but they appear like a drunk headed toward a fall, looking stupid.

This Convention is suppose to hightlight the Dems selection process. Instead, it looks in chaos and staged with dumb speeches, and a stadium presentation.

So you cannot make the convention to appear something it is not (the Dems Democratic process of Selection a Candidate). I wonder how many Americans (Dems and Indep), are now not interested in watching the farce.

  288. JanH

We were both over 21, and civilians employed overseas with the US Government. But as I remember the problem with O was his mother had citizenship, but she needed to be in the country over certain age, a number of years.

So I guess there is really two issues, her being in the country a sufficent period of time over a certain age, and if he gave up his citizenship, and then never bothered to gain it back.

I guess if you whip out a US birth certificate, you might get away with that, because no one would know you had given it up.

    God this is complicated.

  289. So you cannot make the convention to appear something it is not (the Dems Democratic process of Selection a Candidate). I wonder how many Americans (Dems and Indep), are now not interested in watching the farce.

    ******************************************************
I disagree, I do think a lot a people will watch the Democratic? Taliban Party convention for various reasons.

My reason is I want to watch a trainwreak and I’ll prolly have the sound off because I don’t want to hear MSM propaganda. Also want to see if MSM will show the protestors, not counting on it though.

  290. What is amazing to me is we probably check the signature on petitions more closely to make sure they are valid, than we check the legalities of a person running for President of the United States.

Boy, that makes this country look stupid.

  291. carbynew

It will be interesting to see what the actual stats are on the viewing.

I find the whole thing a sham.

  292. Morning, y’all. Just here to pass on an email I received regarding the Texas caucus hybrid system and what’s being done about it:

    Dear fellow Democrat,

The 2008 election cycle has created a historic political climate for Texas Democrats. Approximately 1 million Democrats participated in our convention/caucus system. This surge of participation magnified the intricate workings of Texas’ unique hybrid primary/caucus system, resulting in logistical challenges for some of our Precinct and County/Senatorial District conventions.

As a result, I have appointed the Advisory Committee on the Texas Democratic Party Convention/Caucus System to examine the current process of our primary and caucus system. The Committee will conduct a series of meetings which will be open to the public and will allow for Democrats from all across the state to share their Primary/caucus experience. If for some reason you are not able to attend any of these hearings, you are encouraged to submit written testimony by e-mailing it to the Committee at testimony@txdemocrats.org. The Committee will then consider this feedback and make recommendations to the State Democratic Executive Committee for possible changes. For more information about the committee meetings, click here

The second meeting in this series of Advisory Committee Hearings will be held at the Harlingen Public Library in Harlingen, Texas on September 6, 2008 at 9 a.m.

Additional hearings will be held in the following cities:

    September 12, 2008: Houston, TX

October 4, 2008: El Paso, TX

    October 17, 2008: Arlington, TX

    October 18, 2008: Nacogdoches, TX

    November 8, 2008: Lubbock, TX

    November 14, 2008: Austin, TX

An examination such as this will help inform and educate our Party leadership, elected officials and the general public about how best to approach the issue of potential modifications to the Convention process in Texas. Your testimony at these hearings will play an important role as we continue to explore our current Democratic Primary process. Only by working together will we be able to grow and strengthen as a Party.

    Your friend and fellow Democrat,

    Boyd L. Richie

  293. Received annual request for membership dues from NOW. It sent my mad-meter into danger zone, but kept my cool and wrote:

    Attention NOW:
Where were you when Hillary needed you to defend her dignity as a woman? When you failed Hillary, you failed all women. Our founding mothers would have disowned you, and so do I.

Don’t send me anymore membership renewal notices or any further requests for funds. You are frauds and I’m done with you.

  294. I just got the Rasmassen daily report, and O is only leading in Electorial college votes by 10.

An anlaysis state by state of what happened indicates that right now there appears to a march to the red in almost every instance.

This had got to be a big worry to DNC and SDs. They thought this was going to be one happy party in Denver.

  295. Grape…I replied.

Basil, SKMF , NMF, wwboie, et al; can you guys check over at the other site some time today and give some input and suggestions? Thanks.

  296. By the way, I am extremely frustrated today. Particulary with the FEC. How much more of a “pattern” do they need to see wrt Obama’s campaign finances before they do something significant?! WTF?!

  297. New York Times wants Hillary to support Obama with feeling.

Obama supporters don’t think Hillary really supports Obama:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/22/us/politics/22clinton.html?_r=2&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1219414366-bWaeCZbIX1BiqYMl2hWb7Q

Guy Montes, 63, a retired shift manager for United Airlines and a Clinton supporter in the primary, said later that Mrs. Clinton’s heart did not seem to be in it.

“It was a platonic type of endorsement,” Mr. Montes said. “It wasn’t real love. She’s just doing what she’s supposed to be doing.”

Even Cecilia Payne, 52, an insurance agent in West Palm Beach originally from Barbados, who declared that “the Clintons are the best thing that ever happened to politics,” said Mrs. Clinton must work harder.

“She should have been a little more forceful and more convincing,” Ms. Payne said.

Many here said they feared that Mrs. Clinton did not fully appreciate the divide that remained among Democratic voters. Ms. Shaffer, a part-time medical technician, said many older voters she knew were still struggling with racial prejudice, an issue Mrs. Clinton did not substantially address.

Ileen J. Cantor, 46, a Democratic precinct coordinator in Boca Raton, said that among many lifelong Jewish Democrats, “it’s still iffy, which is freaking me out.”

Jennifer Boxen, 35, a librarian at Florida Atlantic, applauded vigorously when Mrs. Clinton said she and Mr. Obama had been “on two paths” but were now on “one journey.” But she said she was still not sure whom she would vote for.

“Ask me again next Tuesday,” Ms. Boxen said, “after I know who the vice-presidential pick is.”

  298. Good morning all

Idunn…I am convinced the Democrats? made a conscious decision to NOT confirm Bush’s picks for the FEC until it was too late. That, to me, is just another “proof” that the fix was in for Smarmy and the DNC many months ago

  299. Can someone please tell me if I heard the following or did I just have an hilarious dream?

Obama was deriding McCain for having so many homes becaus nobody like that could understand the problems of the middle class. He then said, “I (pause for effect) have ONE home.”

I was laughing too hard after that. By that logic, Obama thinks that McCain represents the $13 mil. homeowners and Obama represents the $2 mil. homeowners. Does BO think that 2 mil is the average home price of the middle class? Can you get more clueless?

  300. You know why wouldn’t they attack McCain’s age, they attacked Hillary because she is a woman? THis group is the most disgusting, hate-filled groups I have ever seen. They remind me of a bunch of low class high school kids that are so into themselves that they can’t see the forest for the tree! Sick! Sick!
You are right the revenge of the babyboomers and those older will be handed to them on a silver platter in November.

  301. At this time in 2004, Kerry was 20 points over Bush in the polls. Bambi is in trouble. The RNC has not even started on him in earnest yet, and he CANNOT break 50. Bambi has a ceiling. He won’t break it. He’s already gotten all the votes he’s going to get, and it ain’t enough.

  302. Bambi is such a drama queen. Just announce the damn VP running mate. There are delegates from around the country who need to think things through. This is SO ABOUT HIM and not what is best for the nation: ie, who will fill the duties of the Presidency when his ego inflates to the point that he explodes

  303. I just can’t believe he would put people through this kind of waiting game just to roll out a dud like Tim Kaine, or a yawn like Bayh.

THIS creeps me out, because I’m really starting to think that maybe the pick is HRC. If it is HRC, I’m pretty sure I’m going to completely lose my shit.

  304. I loathe BO, and I especially loathe, how it is still Hillary’s fault. Get a clue people. She has done more for BO, than any other previous candidate, in the shortest amount of time. Her actions show this. Not enough feeling? Give me a friggin break. How much is enough?

And I do not want MO in the White House. Disgusting.

  306. NewMexicoFan,

    Thanks.

One question for the DNC: Are you telling us that you haven’t known all along that Obama is a fraud, whether by citizenship, by corrupt alliances, by racial hatred for anyone that isn’t AA…and on and on and on…?

WTH is wrong with you people! You are stained just by association. You should be ashamed to even call yourselves democrats!

  307. I want them all gone. I even want the party name gone. Let a new one rise from the ashes that at least tries to be honest in its dealings.

  308. So they are people saying Hillary is not campaigning for BO with enough enthusiasm. WTF, do they want? I suppose she is suppose to enjoy getting raped! To hell with the little Bas*&^ds, after that I don’t care who his highness’ veep is, I am voting for McCain/?!

  309. bird…we were talking about MO this morning and that same thing.

What is WRONG with the picture that MO has to be stashed away because so many Americans can’t stand her?

If she intends to BE the “First Lady” (an oxymoron, to be sure) why are they so AFRAID to have her be out there with her husband?

Rhetorical, of course, but it says a lot.

    DITTO!

  311. It’s not Hillary’s freakin’ responsiblity to win over Dems, it’s Obama’s. The fact they’re still wary of him is his problem, not hers.

BTW, if it’s Biden, why did he say he wasn’t the guy a few days ago? I know he backtracked later, but I still suspect his first comments were the truth.

Also, if you build up all this anticipation and it turns out to be Biden, there’ll be a letdown. If the VP is not Hillary, Obama’s camp should’ve somehow gotten the word out she wasn’t on the short list.

  312. unless of course the miracle happens — HRC could put it all back together again leaving the past months as just a little bump off the historical track of the good old DNC

  313. Idunn at 10:33, I agree totally.

Biden’s better than Bayh and Kaine, but again not in HRC’s class. He won’t bring HRC Dems on board.

  314. Right now I’m just plaining to write in HRC (it’s a matter of principal for me, don’t care if it’s called a “wasted vote”), but if Bambi picks HRC as his vp, I will vote McCain. I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing while she threw her career away on that asshole.

  315. Norma, didn’t they have to keep Kerry’s away from public appearances, because she was hurting him?

Paula: This guy is supposed to be the “Great Uniter,” but he can’t even bring the undemocratic party together, nor is he trying to. How can he bring the country together? There is NOTHING in his history to suggest that he even has the capability to do so. Thus far, he has been extremely divisive, and I just see the problem becoming worse.

  316. Diane fron JustSayNoDeal was on Hardball last night, and did VERY well against Tweety. Check it out if you haven’t – the video is over on riverdaughter.wordpress.com, about 3 posts down.

One think that seemed to genuinely puzzle poor Tweedy is that we have not all vowed allegiance to Obama because Hillary told us to. He tried to ask if she gave a really good support speech at the convention, why oh WHY would that not make us fall in line???

Chris needs to be told “What part of ‘not a mindless lemming’ do you not understand?” That’s the bot’s gig, not mine. I don’t do blind allegiance. Not even for Hillary, and certainly not for a “Democrat” label.

I own my vote. And I will not be bullied, frightened, shamed, cajoled, guilted, or otherwise coerced into giving it to anyone but whom I choose. My ideals are my own, and I need not prove my Democratic credentials to anyone. I am an old bitter white woman, and I care not a rat’s ass whether anyone calls me traitor.

I am impervious to shaming, because I am secure enough in myself, and know who I am enough, to not have any desire whatsoever to be one of the kewl kids. The withdrawal of approval that I don’t seek anyway is no real biggie to me. Therefore, the threat of shunning and the approbation of the politically self-righteous makes me yawn. Bring it on (while I take a nap.)

    I own my vote.

The Washington Post today has published a long story that has a great deal to say about Michelle Obama’s work at the University of Chicago. The Post story concentrates on Michelle’s involvement in a program to bring medical care to poor South Side Chicago residents. Yet there is a great deal about Michelle Obama’s work at the University of Chicago that goes uncovered here. In particular, the Post has almost nothing to say about Michelle’s five year stint as “founding director” of the university’s community service center. As long as the Post has opened the issue of Michelle’s work for the University of Chicago, I think it’s only fair to say that Michelle’s service there, and particularly her first job, deserves greater scrutiny.

The Hyde Park Herald first reported that Michelle Obama would be hired for a newly created community relations position at the University of Chicago on June 5 of 1996. Obama was to be Associate Dean of Student Services and Director of the University of Chicago Community Service Center, effective September 1, 1996. So Michelle Obama was appointed to a job that had never existed before, shortly after Barack Obama had won the Democratic nomination in his first race for Illinois State Senate.

As the Hyde Park Herald reported in an article on Michelle’s new position on January 8, 1997, her job would be “to direct hundreds of would-be volunteers from the university to the dozens of local causes that need help.” So her new and never-before-existing job put Michelle Obama in a position to effectively recruit large numbers of new organizers for the radical community groups that she and Barack worked with.

In short, just after Barack Obama effectively secured a seat in the State Senate, the University of Chicago invented a new job, for which it hired Michelle Obama. In that job, Michelle would be able to channel University of Chicago students into the radical anti-American groups that she and her husband worked with, and whose ideology has received far too little scrutiny. Some of these organizations, even if unofficially, provided campaign workers for Barack Obama on election day (see “Senator Stealth”).

So we see here an unusual arrangement between the University of Chicago and its new teacher/State Senator. The Senator’s wife provides political cover for the university with the community, in return for which the university provides a previously non-existent and prestigious position to the Senator’s wife, which allows her to funnel students into hard-left political groups that sometimes provide campaign workers to the Senator. At any rate, that’s how it looks. It seems to me that if the mainstream papers like the Post are going to look into Michelle Obama’s work bringing medical care to poor South Side residents, her earlier position and its link to politically radical–even intensely anti-American–community organizers deserves scrutiny as well.

  318. LOL…maybe the delay in announcing a vp is that there has been a switch and Obama is going to be the vp.

    Hey I can dream can’t I? 😉

  319. Obama is holding off on the VP announcement in desperation, hoping she’ll give in and save him. He keeps begging Hillary, and she keeps cackling at him and saying, “F@CK off. You are on your own, Precious.”

Well, the DNC had to put the cart before the horse to satisfy Ted Kennedy and his family as the first family of the democratic party!
Manning believes the real devisive person in this primary is and continues to be is Ted Kennedy!

  324. From a Reuters story this morning:

Democrat Barack Obama prolonged the suspense on his vice presidential pick on Friday, saying he has chosen an independent voice who could be an effective governing partner — but not revealing the name.

Still sounds like HRC to me, but what do I know? 🙂

  325. I pray that it is Biden, the blacks will be pist. The first debate has Biden exclaiming that Obama is clean and articulate. According to Patsy and SUgar, that IS a racist statement meaning the rest of the blacks are dirty and inarticulate!

  326. I wonder what kind of flowers they sent? I wonder if they were roses? This is so engineered, these flowers are supposed to be signal, I bet.
Do we know the flowers were from Obama?

  327. Anyone who is dead tired of Barack Obama making a mockery of this vp stuff, the convention, and all things election-oriented…

Stand up and shout! We’ve had enough and we aren’t going to take it anymore!

  328. Obama is holding off on the VP announcement in desperation, hoping she’ll give in and save him. He keeps begging Hillary, and she keeps cackling at him and saying, “F@CK off. You are on your own, Precious.”
    ———————————————–
That is probably what all this is about. He has wanted her for vp all along, and tried to get her to accept it and she has not. I have a first hand account of what happened in the final hours before she suspended and how she was strong armed. I will post it later. But the one thing that has been clear all along is she does not want it.

  329. confloyd: “Manning believes the real devisive person in this primary is and continues to be is Ted Kennedy!”

    I believe that.

  330. Just got back from my hours walk, and you all have been doing me proud during my absence.

I am beginning to think the most intelligent person I am hearing is Rev Manning. That guy is something else.

So if we HRC supporters are suppose to vote for whom HRC says we should vote for, then maybe the AA should do as Rev Manning says?????

Of course we would not indicate that. So why is the media so DUMB as to think we would. Funny, when I told the state chair off, he gave me this nieve reply of well Hillary would not want me to vote for McCain.

I OWN MY VOTE. I am not sure I can be actively again in a political party again, as I lack one requirement to be a good member. I don’t behave like a sheep.

I have heard others opine that Obama, with his ship listing, has been trying to get Hillary on board (two ship metaphors, hmmm).

Personally, I find this hard to believe. I have thought that he’s too stubborn, that he’d never forgive how rough she made it on him to, ahem, “win the nomination”.

That said, with his poll numbers steadily eroding, having her as veep would be a smart move, and at least give him a chance. If any of y’all have something more solid than a hunch, I’d love to hear it.

And of course, I don’t think I’d have to convince the extremely smart Hillary that joining Team Obama is a terrible move for her. The less to do with “him” and “those people”, the better. They are poison.

  332. Paula,

I agree. Problem is that no matter what she does, she will be blamed whenever something goes wrong and she will be thrown under the bus over and over again.

  333. I like Biden but he has made enough gaffes beofre tht should be amusing.

But he supported McCain for Kerry’s VP so he think McCain is cool…

And biden stayed silent thru all that Edwards mess… I am sure he knew that way back in Jan..

So they are people saying Hillary is not campaigning for BO with enough enthusiasm. WTF, do they want?
    ==========

people should realize that he doesn’t need Hillary to defend him around the country as much as he needs a criminal lawyer.

  335. mp – it seems like all the campaigns new back then. I thought that someone from the Clinton campaign had admitted that too – they knew about the affair. I know bygones are bygones – but could the Clinton campaign not used this info earlier to nip the Edwards factor in the bud prior to Iowa?

I was discussing this with a friend who mentioned the mark penn email/memos (which I didn’t read) and it sounded like there are a desire from some higher level people in the campaign to nip Obama in the bud before he “won” Iowa.

And my friend said that it was likely the Clintons were blindsided by how many of their politician friends stabbed them in the back and how extraordinarily biased the media had become against them and for BO.

  336. Mature Leaders take responsibility for their actions and decisions. We have also been told that endorsements are not worth very much.

Doesn’t this remind you of the people who beat, take drugs, or drink. Well it is all their fault that I am the way I am. I AM THE ONE, AND HILLARY IS REFUSNG TO PLAY IN THE SANDBOX ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

HRC is only responsbile for her actions and decisions, and let us facE it, if her supporters are not sheep, her being enthusiastic will not change things. In fact, most of us think she is too enthusiastic NOW.

  337. Wouldn’t it be hilarously if the veep was Edwards! Apparently he was Pooplosi’s choice. LOL! She sure knows how to pick them. She likes those pretty boys. She is picking according to her hormones (if she has any left) instead of her head. She is no better than these coniving halfwits she endorses, just a pretty face is all we need to run the government!
Maybe that’s why they aired all his dirty laundry before the selection process??

  338. This vp thing is really annoying. He’s like a kid. I really don’t care who he picks as long as it is not Senator Clinton.

  339. Well, he certainly has the news media breathless! LOL!! Of coarse the news media all get that electric shock going up their leg, us normal people are merely interested in WHO will be the life raft that he will be holding on to that has a huge hole in it!

  340. Anybody with Chicago connections on the stage being set up in Chicago for the parading of the fatted calf??

  341. Oh, man, I wish I could draw. I’d do a political cartoon of Obama choking and drowning in big waves of poll numbers, and a big ship labeled “DNC” beside him.

I’d have Dean, Pelsosi, etc standing on the deck, frantically throwing him round life preservers labeled “Biden” “Bayh” “Sebelius” “Clinton” etc.

That would make a GREAT political cartoon!

  342. I found this study interesting and not laughable at all

    latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/08/obama-jokes-tv.html

it reiterates what we have known all along, that the media is clearly in favor of BHO

(sorry if this has already been posted, haven’t read up thread since last night)

  343. Well I just took a call, and it was from the national Dems, who started into there plea for money. I cut the off short and started into to my argument. He as as AA and he started arguing back. Somewhere in the arguement he said that WELL HE WAS WHAT WE HAD.

I reminded him, that we still had next week, and the polls were giving people a clue as to the right action.

I hung up at that point as my blood pressure was getting out of control.

  344. I think the media is waiting breathlessly for Veep choice, but we are as well – and I think it’s because of this:

whether we’ll give a shit until Nov 4.

If Clinton is not on the ticket, I will have no feelings to sort out, no emotional investment in this at all. Done. Cable News networks off.

  345. Ouch. Check out what the L.A. Times blogger says about why Obama gets preferential treatment from late night comedians:

The study did not explore why Obama got off so lightly on the network shows from New York and Burbank. So we’ll all just have to guess: probably out of simple respect for Obama’s long public service.

  346. So we’ll all just have to guess: probably out of simple respect for Obama’s long public service.

    try “fear”.

  347. ABC? Anybody but Clinton.

I think it will be Bayh or someone with military experience.

    BTW, is Kaine pro-choice?

  348. SDs you can all be afraid, but when it comes right down to it, you like to back a winner.

If someone is threatening you, but it looks like you are going to lose the GE, what good are these people going to be to you after November.

And I hate to be a broken record about this, but you went against your voters, and they will remember long after November. When is your re election?

  349. As I’ve said several times, if it’s not Hillary, the media will be speculating on why she was overlooked. Keep in mind she’s the top choice among SDs. No one else is even close.

  350. Count, So the stupid DNC never thought Hillary was a viable candidate?? So they really as stupid as we thought they were! THere are just no words to say how I feel when I read that, except smoke blowing out of both of my ears!!!!!

  351. Confloyd

Not a Viable Candidate based on WHAT? It is obvious they did not vet O, because they would have found he he for sure was not a viable candidate.

  352. Sorry it was NMF that said that.
Count, I know I said yesterday that I would vote for a Obama/Hillary ticket, I have changed my mind. I decided that after I learned that Ferrero said Hillary did not want the veep spot. THis told me that she is being forced. I am not interested in any ticket that is forced.
Your right about wanting to know if she is the one, if she is not, I will turn off the computer, cable news and get back to a normal life. I will be satisfied with watching the stomping that the “ONE” is going to get when the revenge of the babyboomer women get thru with him. I just hope we can clean out the DNC of Dean/Brazziere/Pelosi. God will help us with Kennedy.

  353. Oh, how I hope it’s Kaine — the last nail in the coffin. How are they going to lecture us on pro-life McCain if he chooses a pro-life VP?

Why hasn’t there been an uproar from the pro-choice ‘progressives’ that he is considering Kaine?

  354. confloyd, if she takes VP, I have no doubt she was forced. They likely threatened her Senate seat, and to shun her from politics or power forever. What good could she do then?

I do not believe that Hillary in her heart thinks Obama would be a better president than McCain. She may have to do what she has to do for reasons we will never know.

  355. confloyd – Hillary could still be announced, but if not, and if indeed she was never vetted (sometimes I think the press is just doing Obama’s dirty work of creating smoke screens though), then,

all I can say is double standards.

If a man had won 18 million votes, there would be outrage – outrage – that he wasn’t on the ticket. Meanwhile, Clinton is being poo-pooed as if “how dare she even ran against Obamessiah.”

  356. Wow, I could not get back on, they are really watching this site. Now we find out she was never even vetted.
If she were a man, you are right, there would be no question that her name would be on the ballot.
Kennedy is pushing this and look what he did and he was not even close. I think he think she stepped on his toes and this is pure retribution.

  357. The republicans are dying for it to be Biden, the attack ads will write themselves.

His mouth is the big problem as is the fact Biden is known as Senator MBNA after he has sided with the banks and credit card companies everytime a vote has come up.

  358. The media is shitting their pants today, there have been minute by minute updates, the “ONE” is probably enjoying this spectacle.

  359. If it is true she was never even vetted for VP, then Barry just lost a massive amount of Hillary voters. Most Democrats are expecting her for VP, there is going to be blue murder.

  360. ONe thing I will do is buy the book that Big Dawg is going to write about this debacle called a primary!

  361. Well, if the SDs want her, and they did not even vet her,

MAYBE THE SDS SHOULD VOTE FOR HER AS PRESIDENT NEXT WEEK.

If I were an SD, I would be pissed, and let them know that I have the Power.

  362. short little krugman piece – but maybe he’s sayin “see, I told you so.”

Does anyone remember where and approximately when the posting appeared re Brazille’s saying she might have to destroy the DNC in order to rebuild it and make it stronger?

    I’ve looked everywhere.

  364. I am so glad that they let it out that they did not vet her, this will piss off millions, the Bambi parade is getting smaller and smaller!

    =============================

The underlying question about the VP thing is really: is it Hillary or not?

I don’t think anyone will give a 2 cents about Biden, Bayh, Chet Edwards or not. This is the underlying question driving the media hysteria.

  366. Honestly, unless Hillary is his choice, no matter who he chooses it will be a huge boring letdown. No one comes up to her standards.

  367. New Rassmussen confirms Indiana back in McCains column by 6%

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/indiana/election_2008_indiana_presidential_election

Indiana is one of the most reliably Republican states in the nation, but it also neighbors Barack Obama’s home state of Illinois. Hoosiers still prefer Republican John McCain, but the race could be closer than in recent years, especially if Obama picks one of the state’s senators, Evan Bayh, as his running mate.

The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of voters in the state shows McCain attracting 46% of the vote while Obama earns 42%. When “leaners” are included, it’s McCain by six, 49% to 43%. Leaners are survey participants who initially indicate no preference for either major candidate but indicate that they are leaning towards either McCain or Obama.

And the crux of why Obama will lose Indiana

McCain is viewed favorably by 65% of Indiana voters, Obama only by 52%.

  368. It’s ironic that the Selected One is probably enjoying the spectacle of the media drooling about the VP issue – but in the end, whether Selected One realizes it or not, it’s still all about Hillary.

  369. So if she was not being vetted, why has she been campaigning for him??? Maybe she was hoping for help with her debt.
WRITE THE BOOK BILL AND YOU WILL HAVE THAT CAMPAIGN DEBT PAID IN NOTHING FLAT AND THEN SOME!!

  370. Unless Bambi pulls a fast one and says, she wasnt vetted because she has a million times already, she didnt need it.

    =======
Maybe they’ll just be “reduced” to the small numbers they always were. I think they were a small band of netroots people who just had a loud roar because they got the MSM in their pocket – and the millions who were slightly convinced will now be coming off the kool-aid. When BO loses, it’ll be clear that whomever “chose” him were the most out-of-touch contingent in the nation who relied only on their own echo chamber to make their selection.

  372. Think about this for a minute, if Bambi was to pull off another election fraud and actually win, we will have had 12-16 years of our President selected and not elected! Folks if this happens its time for another revolution to take back our country from the likes of Soros, Kennedy, Kerry and the rest of the power group!

  373. Hillary ends up stealing his thunder even when she’s trying her damnedest NOT to steal his thunder.

Maybe that’s why Egobama can’t stand her. LOL!

  374. hmmm…I wonder if the reason she wasn’t vetted was that she didn’t want to be? Maybe she told them that under no circumstances would she be the idiot’s lap dog?

  375. Is it Hillary or not is the msm spiel here, she’s overshadowing him again big styile if its not her, then by God its going to be what a huge letdown followed by immediates pundit calls of “what a fucking idiot”

  376. Hillary is the only one that can unite the party on the ticket.

However, Hillary is all too aware there are millions of her supporters that will not follow her. I truly find it hard to believe she would rescue a man that is “not qualified”. Why should she? They did not pay down her debt, they never stood up for her or her husband when the media mud was flying or when the BHO campaign slipped its race baiting into the mix. There isn’t a single reason for her to move in this direction except for “party unity”. And frankly that makes me sick.

I personally think if Hillary accepts the VP slot she should have her head examined.

I pray she lets us have another chance in 2012 if she isn’t the presidential nominee now.

you are totally right on about that. the worst disasters have been/will be those presidents who stole their elections from the people. all the more reason for election reform, and getting money out of the system, the people’s will is a better judge of the person who should be President.

On a diff note – the recent comics showing BO under a large shadow of a woman in a pantsuit is so right on. And so was Cohen’s article about BO on the Hawaiian beach seeing a cloud above him shaped like a woman in a pantsuit! Hillary is still the one.
