By the way, speaking of movies, Texan4Hillary had a great recommendation of a documentary called Not For Ourselves Alone by Ken Burns/Paul Barnes, and it’s the story of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and her political partnership with Susan B. Anthony…

There’s one sequence that reflects today – frederick douglass who attended the first women’s rights convention in Seneca Falls is now pushing to pass the 15th Amendment a voting rights amendment which would disallow discrimination when it comes to race, though not gender…he sells out on voting equality for all and throws the women under the bus. Susan B. Anthony retorts – even as slaves who have been beaten and killed, not once would Frederick Douglass trade places with a woman.

This was about 150 years ago. And even now, women are second class citizens, meant to wait their turn…
