Obama Snubs Again – American Troops

Upon what meat doth this, our Caesar, feed?

Jut Jaw

Having fled from bitter and clingy Americans during this hot July, in search of gravitas, Barack Obama packed his tents and took his circus on a European Vacation. But gravitas is not a tourist trinket to be purchased cheaply. Gravitas is earned. Gravitas is purchased with experience and struggle for purpose.

Obama has none of these characteristics. George W. Bush is “the ignorant” (as the London Times dubbed it) Obama is ‘the arrogant’. The American people will snub him in NOvember.

* * *

Obama snubbed the voters of Florida and Michigan. Obama snubbed the voters of West Virginia and Kentucky. Remember the Obama snub of Hillary in full public view?

As Clinton approached, Kennedy made sure to make eye contact and indicated he wanted to shake her hand. Clinton leaned towards Kennedy over a row of seats and Kennedy leaned in towards her. They shook hands.

Obama stood icily staring at Clinton during this, then turned his back and stepped a few feet away. Kennedy may’ve wanted to make peace with Clinton but Obama clearly wanted no part of that.

As president, Obama has said he would meet with the U.S.’s enemies without precondition. But making nice with Clinton apparently is another mattter after the increasingly angry fight the two have waged, with charges and countercharges, for the Democratic presidential nomination.

We know Hillary is “likeable enough” so the Obama snub reeked of fear and arrogance.

But now Obama has chosen to snub bitter and clingy American troops in Germany, many of those troops are wounded and in hospitals.

George W. Bush (the ignorant) banned pictures and televised reports of the coffins of American dead arriving home for burial. “W” was busy exercising. Likewise Obama (the arrogant) found himself at the gym of the Ritz-Carlton in Germany instead of amidst the scarlet bandages and hosptial antiseptic stench of American wounded.

The alarm clock did not go off, or Michelle did not kick in with his wake up call, the maid is to blame, the hotel lost the mapquest directions, a gym session was necessary because the flab around the hips is sticking out due to all that good German chocolat, the troops would ask for autographs and maybe sell them on Ebay without giving him a cut of the proceeds, the excuses from the Obama circus flowed.

Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC was provided excuses by the Obama campaign – which blamed the Pentagon or someone other than Obama – for the ugly snub of American troops recovering in American bases in Germany. Andrea Mitchell did her job for the MSNBC/Obama propaganda ministry. Unfortunately for Andrea, like blood soaked bandages, the excuses had to be replaced rapidly. The Obama campaign excuses did not hold.

Chief Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell confirmed to Politico that Department of Defense officials cautioned Barack Obama’s campaign that his planned visit to wounded American troops in Germany could not be political in nature and that he would be barred from bringing along campaign staff and reporters. He also said that Cindy McCain recently requested to visit sailors aboard the U.S.N.S. Comfort and was denied.

“Sen. Obama is welcome to visit Landstuhl or any military hospital in his official capacity as a United States senator,” Morrell said in a brief interview. “But there is a DOD policy which governs campaigning and electioneering at military facilities that would have to be respected if he were to visit. That distinction was relayed and made clear to campaign, and they made a decision on their own based on that guidance.”

Morrell, in a subsequent interview, added that military officials told Obama he could only visit the military facility with his Secret Service detail and Senate staff.

Obama is too busy to ever do Senate work or visit the troops or do anything other than carnival bark at his Chicago circus.

As Chairman Of The Subcommittee On European Affairs, Barack Obama Has Failed To Hold Any Hearings On Afghanistan:

Barack Obama Has Served As Chairman Of The Subcommittee On European Affairs From 2007 – 2008. (U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee Website, www.senate.gov , Accessed 2/15/08)

The Subcommittee On European Affairs Has Jurisdiction Over The Countries Of Europe As Well As NATO Activities. “Jurisdiction: The subcommittee deals with all matters concerning U.S. relations with the countries on the continent of Europe…and with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.” (U.S. Senate Committee On Foreign Relations Website, http://foreign.senate.gov , Accessed 2/27/07)

· As Chairman Of The Subcommittee On European Affairs, Barack Obama Could Have Held Hearings On The Role Of NATO In Afghanistan. “[A]mbassador John Ritch, who served for two decades as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s senior staffer on European affairs and East-West relations…[P]oints out that as subcommittee chair, Obama could have examined a wide variety of urgent matters, from the role of NATO in Afghanistan and Iraq to European energy policy and European responses to climate change…” (Joe Conason, “Obama’s European Problem,” www.salon.com , 12/29/07)

Obama had a choice this week between the gym at the Ritz-Carlton and that horrid little trip to the hospital without photographers clicking like locusts.

“We made it clear to him that campaign staff and press would not be permitted to accompany him,” Morrell said of Obama. “We relayed those ground rules. They made a choice based upon the information we relayed to them. It was their choice. We had nothing to do with it.”

Like a starlet wrapped in cheap rabbit fur stole and slinky dress Obama wanted to be photographed. No photos, no visit. Snub ’em.

Military personnel at Ramstein Air Force Base, where the senator was to fly into, had already made arrangements to accommodate Obama’s traveling press pack and campaign staff while he visited the wounded troops, Morrell said.

Obama’s campaign tells a different story.

Of course. “Obama’s campaign tells a different story”. What a surprise. Soon, it will be racism that prevented Obama’s visit. It was a matter of priorities, and the gym came first. George W. would have done the same. If Obama had wanted to visit the injured, he would have. It’s that simple. It is doubtful that with his Big Media posse Obama would have been denied access, if, if, he followed the rules by not trying to exploit the injured troops.

Obama, who was not traveling with any Senate staffers, decided on the flight Wednesday from Tel Aviv to Berlin not to visit the hospital.

Trying to make clear that this was not an attempt to undercut the Democratic nominee, Morrell also noted that when McCain officials asked the Pentagon for permission to let Cindy McCain visit the massive U.S. hospital ship, the U.S.N.S. Comfort, the request was rejected.

“Had she gone with Sen. McCain, it would have been OK,” Morrell said, underlining the delineation between what are official and campaign activities.

Cindy McCain with two sons just out of Iraq service could not visit a hospital ship because her visit would clearly be political. Obama knew the rules:

My colleague Mike Allen reminds me that Obama has mixed a troop visit and politicking on the same day with a simple solution: Leave the press outside. [snip]

The campaign’s protective pool made its debut today. Your pool departed the Capital Hilton at 6:50 am, arriving by 7 am at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, where Senator Obama spent the night.

After holding outside for two hours, your pool drove to far Northwest Washington. Mr. Obama arrived at the main building of Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital at 9:20 am. He made no comments when he departed at 11 am. Your pool followed the motorcade to the Renaissance hotel for [the National Association of Latino Elected Officials], arriving at 11:15 am.

We have heard the excuses before. Obama always has an excuse. Obama votes “present” or fails to vote and makes it seem as if that was a monumental act of courage. When very close friends and confidants of more than 20 years become a liability Obama does a George W. and says ‘hardly knew him’ or ‘he’s not the person I thought I knew’. Blame the Staff:

They allege Obama has a penchant for blaming his staff for gaffes ranging from missing a union event in New Hampshire to circulating opposition research highlighting the Clintons’ ties to India and Indian-Americans to underestimating the amount of cash bundled for his campaigns by his former fundraiser, indicted businessman Antoin “Tony” Rezko.

The original Obama excuse was laughable and was quickly padded:

“Barack Obama will not be coming to us,” a spokesperson for the U.S. military hospital in Landstuhl told Der Spiegel. “I don’t know why.”

Obama senior adviser Robert Gibbs told ABC News in a statement, “During his trip as part of the CODEL to Afghanistan and Iraq, Sen. Obama visited the combat support hospital in the Green Zone in Baghdad and had a number of other visits with the troops. For the second part of his trip, the senator wanted to visit the men and women at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center to express his gratitude for their service and sacrifice. The senator decided out of respect for these servicemen and women that it would be inappropriate to make a stop to visit troops at a U.S. military facility as part of a trip funded by the campaign.” [snip]

But the campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., issued the following comment on Obama’s decision.

“Barack Obama is wrong,” said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers. “It is never ‘inappropriate’ to visit our men and women in the military.”

An Obama adviser, Air Force Maj. Gen. Scott Gration (Ret.), later elaborated on Obama’s decision to skip the event.

“We learned from the Pentagon last night that the visit would be viewed instead as a campaign event,” Gration said. “Sen. Obama did not want to have a trip to see our wounded warriors perveived [sic] as a campaign event when his visit was to show his appreciation for our troops and decided instead not to go.”

Wounded American troops are learning what we know:

Obama simply cannot be trusted. Obama cannot be trusted on any issue. Obama cannot be trusted by his friends. Obama cannot be trusted by his enemies. Obama cannot be trusted.

Obama’s last snub will be the one delivered by the American Voter in NOvember – if the superdelegates do not snub Obama in August.

  1. I have been to Landstuhl. It is a great medical facility for our troops. Obviously their is beginning to be something wrong here with how he relates to the military. He has a planned basketball event in Afghanistan, but does not shake the hands of the troops outside. He moves heaven and earth to stage political rallies in historic places, yet he cannot not figure out how to get a visit to the people who have been wounded right.

Another example of how he stages stuff, and in my estimations is JUST NOT UP TO THE JOB.

When you take a job, you get the good and bad parts. O does not want the bad parts. He is a lot like George Bush.

  2. wbboei — repeat

It was I who reported that – incorrectly at first – as coming from Carl Levin. It was Sandy Levin, Carl’s brother, who made the remark. My friend said to him, “I can’t believe what they are doing to her. I want so much for her to win the nomination.” And Sandy Levin replied, “Ah, I do too, but the deck is stacked against her.” At the time neither my friend nor I saw much significance in it, but shortly afterwards came the infamous meeting of the RBC Mafioso, and only then did we realize what he meant.

  3. SORRY JEN. THANKS LL OL GRAPE.

BUT AGAIN THE DATE IS WHAT I NEED. WHEN DID THIS CONVERSATION TAKE PLACE–WHAT MONTH

  4. lil ol grape. I take this was in May. I see you say shortly before the rgb meeting. If that is it thats fine.

  5. I have to ask the SDs are you as brave as the Founding Fathers of this country, and our Troops in Iraq?

Remember there were no book deals for our founding fathers. Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independance ended up in terrible conditions. Thomas Jefferson sold his books to the Libray of Congress because he needed the money.

Remeber our troops today join and go of their own free will, for a war many did not beleive in. Many came back to jobs not there or modified, or even family that had a hard time accepting their wounds.

We are asking of you SDs to do the right thing. We ask that you display the guts and courage of our forfathers, and our soliders.

When you make the right decision, you very well might lose your election or your current position in the party. You friends might shunn you also, and you might get very angry emails and phone calls. There might even be some threatening visits.

We ask you to show the courage of our forfathers, and our soldiers. Are you that brave?

I hope so, because O CANNOT CLOSE THE DEAL.

Remember O would not go to Landstuhl without cameras. Do you really support that?

  6. Thanks Admin.

Obama needs to go back to playing with his G.I. Joe dolls. He is not ready for the big times…sigh he isn’t even ready for the responsibilities he already has.

    What a moron!

  7. I live in Los Angeles Area and the not visiting the wounded in Germany didn’t go over so well because so many relatives in this area either have a relative or know someone in the military.

Also SoCal has a long history and partnership with the military. L.A Times got bombarded with this issue…but you wouldn’t know it because the media is in the tank for Bambi. But read the comments on the Blogs…touched a nerve.

  8. Any two bit political manager would know you take care of the troops, whether there is a camera there or not. You would move heaven and eather to dot it. You would shake the hands of these people, and talk to them without credit or media photo. They people talk to their families. You would also cancel pep rallies to do it.

Another indication that O and his staff are not ready to lead.

I wonder if that will eliminate any little bump he might get from this trip.

  9. Wbboei,
It was Carl Levin that presented the final compromise to the RBC
    regarding the Michigan votes.
That is what was presented to the viewers, what I saw.

It was rigged, of that I am sure.
He serves on a number of committees and is no stranger to negotiations. He is a major player.
(Although he has done nothing to help Michigan but sell us down the river).
That alleged compromise is all the proof I need that he is in the bag for bambi. Of course, I don’t need any proof, I always go with my gut,
being the uneducated, bitter, disenfranchised voter that I am.

  11. In response to another great article by Admin,

I think this is one of Fraudbama’s most offensive gaffes to date.
More telling than his stupid speeches and borrowed words.

It cuts to the core of who bambi really is.

Much like his plan to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan and Florida
because he was not ‘favored’, he chooses instead to disregard them
    altogether.
Much like the WV and KY, totally dismisses and disregards the results

I had the impression that “The deck is stacked against her.” was said with very real sadness,” and as I watched Carl L. at that disgusting RBC meeting, I felt I was watching a man who was quaking in his shoes. 17. What Obama decided not to see in Germany:

    http://men.style.com/gq/features/full?id=content_6951&pageNum=2

    The City Of Broken Men

In the morning, the big gray plane begins its slow fall from the sky, dropping into the thick, damp air over Germany, groaning again with fractional g’s that yaw the metal fasteners on the gurneys and pull at the plastic tubing, until it’s reeled in by the brick-straight runways of Ramstein Air Base, where buses wait to take them to an ugly little hospital on top of a hill in the Rhine Palatinate Forest. It is called the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, itself a reengineering of pretty simple technology that has changed this war profoundly, and for the past five years the only hospital in the whole complex, dysfunctional, miraculous, weirdly pedestrian American military medical system where absolutely every hurt man who doesn’t die spends time.

    ——–

The bay doors of the bus open, and the first stretcher appears. “Careful,” a voice from inside the bus says, “watch the O2 tank on this side. It’s strapped but not tight to the leg—it’s very painful.” A man, his face a steamy plastic mask, is lowered from the bus, onto a waiting gurney, laid over with one of the quilts the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and VFWs and other organizations, official and not, send over. Then a chaplain, an upright German national with a pink face and a gray mustache, takes the patient’s hand and leans down and says with some gravity, “Welcome to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Thank you for serving your country. We want to serve you now.”

It’s a long story worth reading. It is sometimes gruesome.

  18. The NBRA is led by Frances Rice of Sarasota, Fla., a former Army officer and avowed conservative. Her tactics have led other black Republicans to quit the organization. Christopher Arps, a former spokesman, left the group after disagreeing with Rice about strategy.

“Anyone with any sense knows that most black people were Republican at one time,” Arps said when the ad ran two years ago. “But it’s a far stretch to think that in the ’60s Martin Luther King was a Republican.”

Arps said Rice’s actions were counterproductive to the NBRA’s goal of drawing more African Americans to the Republican Party.

Judging by some reactions, the Obama ads might also be a hindrance. “I’m confused as to why any African American would be a Republican in this day and age,” says Missouri state Rep. Robin Wright-Jones, a Democrat. “I don’t remember Obama saying any of that in a speech.”

  20. MSM Mostly Ignores Surge of Anti-Obama PUMA Democrat Activity
By P.J. Gladnick (Bio | Archive)
    July 26, 2008 – 13:06 ET

Imagine if a bunch of disgruntled Mitt Romney supporters were currently stalking John McCain or Republican events loudly demanding that their candidate be nominated. Think the national press would be featuring it bigtime as an example of Republican party disunity? Well, the same thing is happening except the people are disgruntled Democrats expressing their opposition of Barack Obama while loudly continuing to support Hillary Clinton. However, contrary to being just a desperate last gasp by Hillary’s supporters, PUMA activities seem to be surging lately despite the overseas trip by Obama which was widely heralded by the mainstream media. In fact, the official PUMA PAC website has today announced, in a message directed towards Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, their view that the Obama trip was a “flop”:

So if you fancy yourself the Democrats’ Karl Rove — an unbeatable master of politics and strategy, how come the Grand Tour was such a flop for your guy? Sinking in blue swing states, tanking in red states. . . Most Americans believe the Ego Trip, I mean World Tour, hurts or doesn’t help his chances in November. Your guy can’t even make a dent against an old guy who hasn’t even begun to campaign against you in earnest. You’re losing during the warm-up? Oops. Groan.

Don’t think the online PUMA activities are restricted to mere online grumbling. They are actively protesting in public what they feel is unfair treatment of Hillary by the DNC. Here is what happened to Howard Dean while visiting North Carolina yesterday according to the Charlotte Observer:

About two dozen Hillary Clinton supporters, some carrying signs saying “Dump Dean,” shouted down Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean during an appearance Friday in Charlotte.

The protesters, who described themselves as members of a group called “Charlotte Front and Center,” shouted and waved signs as Dean spoke to an otherwise enthusiastic crowd of about 150 at a voter registration rally on West Boulevard.

The demonstrators, mostly women, were protesting a rumored decision not to put Clinton’s name in nomination at next month’s Democratic convention in Denver. At one point, Dean was drowned out by shouts of “I own my vote!”

You can see examples such as the previous story and this article in the Austin-American Statesman about dissatisfied PUMA Democrats cropping up with increasing frequency in recent days (emphasis mine):

…an uncounted swath of Clinton backers, including voters who see Clinton as a groundbreaker mistreated by the media and national party, is taking a hard line in step with a national Web-driven effort dubbed PUMA (Party Unity My Ass).

Some say they will never cotton to the first-term senator from Illinois. Some fume at the way Texas delegates were chosen via the March 4 primary election and primary-night caucuses. Clinton won the primary, but Obama took more delegates because of caucus turnouts.

…Frances Morey of Austin, a Clinton delegate to the party’s June state convention, noted that Obama lacks the 2,118 delegates needed to seal the nomination. (Projections put him over the threshold based on surveys of superdelegates — party dignitaries and members of Congress who don’t have to commit until the convention.)

“So why is he prancing around in Europe like he’s the president-elect?” Morey said this week. “I cannot vote for him. I cannot bring myself to vote for this poseur.”

Morey said she’ll likely skip the presidential election on her fall ballot.

Despite being ignored for the most part by the MSM which desires to present the view of a Democrat party united for Obama, more and more stories such as the ones above are seeping out with increasing frequency.

For a surrealistically bizarre look at one of the prominent PUMA types on YouTube, check out this video of Perry Logan who was previously best known for slamming Republicans but has now switched to attacking Obama. Warning: You might need to have your brain scrubbed after watching the incredibly eccentric Perry Logan who was recently banned from the Democratic Underground for switching from attacking Republicans to slamming Obama. On the plus side you will also have some good laughs although you will be laughing more at Perry Logan than with him.

  21. wbboei,

About caucuses, an interesting graph turned up around the last week of the primaries. Iirc, four states had done both primary and caucus, at various times over the months. In ALL of them there was the same ‘disconnect’. The primary was a near tie, the caucus around 70-30 for Obama.

I tried to find it later but couldn’t. I seem to remember it being posted at one of those long thoughtful blogs such as alegre, anglchelg, eriposte…?

I don’t think Texas was among the four, as their caucus was too messy to count.

  22. have just seen this on clintondems.com,
    clintondems.com/2008/07/chris-matthewspaul-revere/
they reposted it based on something posted at PUMAPARTY.com

    —————————–
Chris Mathews who we all know is a supporter of BO had some very strong, realistic views of the race today on the Morning Joe show.
    Here is his quote:

“I don’t think by any means, does BO have this deal closed with the Clinton crowd. Their contributors, women, women’s group they are not together. The Clinton people are not aboard. The Democratic party is not united and anybody that thinks that it is, is confused or deluded. This Democratic Party has got problems on it’s hands. And it’s BO challenge to bring Bill Clinton aboard. When I see their two faces together in the same room, I’ll believe it. I haven’t seen that yet. There is big time problems in the Democratic party. And there is the potential that John McCain will be the tortuous in the Tortuous and the Hare.”

He went on to say later:

“BO has got to identify with the gas pump, with the kitchen table, with the husband and wife talking late at night about how they are going to pay the bills they haven’t been able to pay, when they are out of money. He doesn’t get to those people…………….that’s why Hillary could play a role. Hillary is a bread and butter candidate………..this rock star is so elevated, so whole-sale that he’s almost created a need for Hillary Clinton as his running mate…….who can talk about gasoline prices, talk about women’s job opportunities, equal pay, basic stuff like minimum wage, getting food on the table, getting gas in the tank. He doesn’t talk like that. And you gotta talk like that if you are a Democrat.”

Another point he made which I think a lot of America feel about BO speech in Berlin is this quote he made after Meeka asked him if BO looked presidential which was what the campaign was trying to portray, especially on the International stage.

“I think the world thinks he is already President. They got to be disabused of that. We have a Presidential campaign ahead of us, it’s not behind us. And they are wrong if they think this guy has been elected. I mean, this guy is not elected by any stretch, this election is up in the air; I mean that, up in the air. And I think that is something that is a false perception. He shouldn’t be probably giving world leadership speeches until he is a world leader.”

This is absolutely stunning. It appears this trip has opened some eyes in the media. The choking off of access and the “poseur sessions” is throwing cold water on the gratuitus hump fest. If Obama doesn’t give them press access, the press has no reason to be kind to him.

Is this the start of an “awakening”? Is Chris Matthews the new Paul Revere?

  24. A few days ago a Dina Titus (?) volunteer called to ask me to walk for her. She is running against the Republican congressman in NV.

After telling him that I couldn’t walk, I asked if Dina was going to push for Hillary’s name in nomination.
Vol: “hem, haw, well she doesn’t have much influence.
    Me: “She’s a super delegate”
Vol: (more hemming and hawing) “I don’t think Hillary wants her name placed in nomination”
Me: (my voice slowly rising to an unanticipated yell)
“I dont care…it’s MY VOTE I want reflected. I will support noone who doesn’t fight to have my vote count.”
Vol: (cowed and astonished) “I’ll tell Dina.”

Try it for every Dem. rep asking for your vote. If they don’t want to have our votes counted, they’re not getting another to dump in the trash.

  25. Henry, no problem, we just wanted the hard working people at CharlotteFrontAndCenter to take a bow. Maybe some of our readers could go over there and tell them “well done”.

Now, for something completely different. Iif you really, really really want to laugh (the whole thing is a huge laugh but as we predicted, he blames the staff! and digs a deeper hole):

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/12072.html

Barack Obama told Fox News on Saturday that it was not a mistake to cancel a planned visit to injured U.S. troops in Germany, even though Republicans are threatening to run commercials criticizing him for it.

“It was scheduled, we intended to go and we got wind that there was some concern that this might be perceived as political; because we were using campaign resources,” Obama said before leaving London to return to Chicago. “I didn’t want it to be a distraction.”

Fox’s Bill Hemmer asked Obama if it is a mistake to forgo the visit.

“Well no, not at all,” Obama said.

Also in London on Saturday, Obama told reporters that he scrapped the visit because he didn’t want the troops to be sorting through “whether this is political or not, or getting caught in the crossfire of the campaigns.”

Well, so much for that. Republicans say the episode may show up in advertising this fall, and are poking fun at the Obama’s campaign’s explanations for the decision.

The Republican National Committee gleefully e-mailed “Updated reasons why Obama nixed troop visit,” followed by, “Obama’s Ever-Evolving Excuses For Not Visiting The Troops.”

Here’s the explanation Obama gave on Saturday: “You know, the staff was working on this, so I don’t know everything. Here’s what I understand: We had [been] scheduled to visit. We had no problem at all leaving press — we always leave press and staff out, that’s why we left it off the schedule. We were treating it in the same way that we would have treated a visit to Walter Reed, which I was able to do quietly a few weeks ago, without any fanfare whatsoever.

“I was going to be accompanied by one of my advisers, a former military officer, and we got notice that he would be treated as a campaign person and it was therefore seen as political because he has endorsed my candidacy but he wasn’t on the Senate side. That triggered then a concern that maybe our visit was going to be perceived as political, and the last thing that I want to do is have injured soldiers and the staff at these wonderful institutions having to sort through whether this is political or not, or getting caught in the crossfire of the campaigns.

“So rather than go forward and get potentially caught up in what might have been seen as a political controversy of some sort … we decided was that we would not make a visit and instead I would call some of the troops. So that was really the extent of the story.”

  26. So how long before he throws his staff under the bus. After all, with weekly screw ups, it will be a mess in the White House.

But then, since McCain just keep coming along, O might not have to worry about his staff in the White House.

  28. McCain attacks on troop visit

In the latest in a series of sharp attacks on Obama’s American values, the McCain campaign puts out a statement from a supporter, retired Lt. Colonel Joe Repya:

“The most solemn duty of a commander in chief is to fulfill his responsibility to the men and women who serve this country in uniform. Barack Obama had scheduled a visit with wounded American troops who have served with honor and distinction in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but he broke that commitment, instead flitting from one European capital to the next. Several explanations were offered, none was convincing and each was at odds with the statements of American military leaders in Germany and Washington. For a young man so apt at playing president, Barack Obama badly misjudged the important demands of the office he seeks. Visits with world leaders and speeches to cheering Europeans shouldn’t be a substitute for comforting injured American heroes.

    Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor responds:

As Sen. Obama said today, the last thing he wanted was to have injured soldiers get pulled into the back and forth of a political campaign. That’s why we imagine Sen. McCain would be surprised that his campaign released this wildly inappropriate accusation that politicizes the issue. Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain share the belief that we must do everything we can to honor and support our troops, which is why Senator Obama has met with our men and women in uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan this week and visited wounded soldiers at Walter Reed numerous times.

  29. Does Chris Matthews not understand the meaning of sexism. Has he not take a training in this.

If O negotiates wtih ANYONE it will be with HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON, NOT BILL CLINTON.

HRC is running for President, not Bill, and she is tough, and can handle it on her own.

Did I see in the previous blog that People are calling their newspaper in LA asking why they are not covering the Landstuhl stuff.

  30. One more thing. If HE CAN NOT CLOSE THE DEAL, HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO HEAD THE TICKET.

Hillary can close the Deal, and she should lead the ticket. So Chris, the next time you get close enough to O and your leg is tingling, please tell him that.

  31. Admin, another great post. The story IS Obama’s arrogance and COMPLETE LACK OF UNDERSTANDING of the job that Dean and Susan Rice already seem to believe he has…..

  37. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!! My comments keep getting chopped off!

But congrats on another stellar article.

    😛

  38. Why do I keep hearing from Dean and others that Hillary’s name will be on the ballot if she wants it to be?? Now some of the SD’s are saying that Hillary doesn’t want her name on the ballot. This is so strange! WHY!! She freaking won the primary! This does not seem like the Hillary I have been watching for over one year! They have to threatening her or offering her something which she thinks she can get her agenda across.
There is something very FISHY about this!!

  39. I read on No Quarter while ago that Hillary is the same Hillary now as she was in 92′ and people are just now realizing that she prays and is likeable, smart and works very hard for the American people.
So Folks, why all of the sudden would she turn down a spot on the roll call????? This is not Hillary talking, it is someone else!!!

  40. For several months, I have thought that BO suffers from a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I also, think he may be a sociopath. The Confluence has an excellent posting regarding this issue. Some excerpts:

“Well, in the first place he is incredibly arrogant, haughty, full-of-himself, and entitled. He appears to have almost no empathy for other people and he is very good at using them as long as he wants something from them and then throwing them under the bus when he no longer needs them. For starters, just ask Rev. Wright, Rev., Pfleger, the members of Trinity United Church of Christ, “former” advisors Samantha Power and Austen Goolsbee, Jim Johnson (former VP committe member), whoever created the “Great Possum Seal,” the “progressive” bloggers who supported him unstintingly for months, and his own grandmother. In fact Obama has added a new cliche to the American vernacular, “He (or she) wasn’t the person I once knew.”

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association (DSM IV-TR), NPD is characterized by

A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

    1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

    2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

    3. believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

    4. requires excessive admiration

    5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

    6. is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

    7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

    8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him

    9. shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Honestly, couldn’t a psychiatrist examining Barack Obama check off every item on the list? Let’s look at just a few examples.

    1. has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

To check off this item, a shrink would only have to look at the fact that Obama chose to run for POTUS with almost no relevevant qualifications or experience and with such a thin resume that he has barely ever held a full-time job (h/t Katiebird). He has based his presidential campaign on the fact that he was a “community organizer” in the 1980s (even though he had no tangible accomplishments), was president of the Harvard Law Review in the 1990s (although he wrote no articles for publication), his undistinguished tenure as a state senator in IL, and an anti-war speech in 1992 that wasn’t even audio- or video-taped and didn’t rate even a mention in the local papers. Oh, and he wrote two autobiographical books by his mid-40s. He claims to have been a “civil rights attorney” (although he has argued no cases in court) and a consitutional law professor” (although he was really a part-time adjunct instructor who never published a single peer reviewed article).

    2. is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

From a press release from Hillary Clinton’s campaign, 12/2/07:

“Iis Darmawan, 63, Senator Obama’s kindergarten teacher, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. He wrote an essay titled, ‘I Want To Become President,’ the teacher said.” [AP, 1/25/07 ]

His third grade teacher: Fermina Katarina Sinaga “asked her class to write an essay titled ‘My dream: What I want to be in the future.’ Senator Obama wrote ‘I want to be a President,’ she said.” [The Los Angeles Times, 3/15/07]

In addition, Obama told his brother

‘I think I’d like to teach at some point in time, and maybe run for public office,’ recalls Robinson, who assumed Senator Obama meant he’d like to run for city alderman. “He said no — at some point he’d like to run for the U.S. Senate. And then he said, ‘Possibly even run for President at some point.’ And I was like, ‘Okay, but don’t say that to my Aunt Gracie.’ I was protecting him from saying something that might embarrass him.”

His Harvard law classmates also report that Obama frequently talked about becoming President.

    3. believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)

For this one the shink need look no further than Obama’s denigration of working class people as “bitter,” gun-toting religious nuts who are too stupid to see his wonderfulness. And of course he made these remarks in front of group of wealthy elitist snobs in San Franciso’s most hoity-toity neighborhood.

    4. requires excessive admiration

Obama’s appearances before huge audiences, his desire to speak in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Germany like Ronald Reagan did as President, his encouragement of a rabid, cult-like following all demonstrate this need in Obama.

    5. has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

This one is easy. Obama acted like he had won the nomination after his win in the Iowa caucuses; after he lost in the New Hampshire primary, he still encouraged his followers to call on Hillary Clinton to drop out of the race. After Super Tuesday, he assumed that the nomination was his and urged his followers and the compliant media to demand that that Clinton must quit because she was hurting his chances in November. Meanwhile, Hillary won Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Puerto Rico, and South Dakota, while Obama was on a downhill slide. Now that Obama is the “presumptive nominee,” he is acting as if he is already President and expecting to be treated as such by foreign leaders and the media.

    6. is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

See above references to numerous people who were supportive of Obama for many years and then were thrown under the bus without a second thought.

    7. lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

Evidence for this one: Obama’s treatment of the voters of Florida and Michigan as well as his dismissal of working class voters in Pennsylvana, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

    8. is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him

This one is harder to prove, but in my opinion, Obama is very envious of the Clintons, because they are able to outshine him. One example of this was Obama’s angry resentment after Hillary crushed him in the Pennsylvania debate. He just couldn’t resist denigrating her, brushing her off his shoulders and shoes, and giving her the finger. Because he envies the Clintons, Obama imagines that they are equally resentful of his success. He just can’t imagine that Bill and Hillary might be unselfishly working for the good of their party and their country, despite Hillary’s “loss” in the primaries.

Obama is now treating John McCain like he treated the Clintons, denigrating him, accusing him of racism and pushing false and unfair smears against Obama. For example, in his announcement in Minneapolis that he was the nominee of the Democratic Party, he complained:

I honor [John McCain’s] service, and I respect his many accomplishments, even if he chooses to deny mine.

Huh? Exactly what accomplishments are those, Barack? And when did McCain “deny” them?

    (9) shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

For this one, I would recommend that Obama’s shrink read this blog post on Obama’s body language and watch two videos recommended by the body language expert. These videos also demonstration Obama’s narcissistic rage and resentment toward Hillary Clinton.

The videos are on the website.

    200,000 . . . or 20,000? Obama’s Crowd in Berlin
    John Rosenthal | Bio | 25 Jul 2008
    WPR Blog
“Obama Addresses 200,000 in Berlin” — thus ran the AP headline the day after Barack Obama’s much-hyped speech in front of Berlin’s Siegessäule or “Victory Column.” This 200,000 figure has quickly become the standard estimate of the crowd for Obama’s speech in both the American and the German media: so standard indeed that it is for the most part not even treated as an estimate.

The estimates given by German public television ZDF actually during the event, however, were as little as one-tenth of that number. ZDF began its special “Obama in Berlin” coverage [German video] at 6:45 p.m. Central European Time: only 15 minutes before the candidate’s speech was scheduled to start. At the time, ZDF reporter Susanne Gelhard was out and about on the so-called “Fan Mile” between the Victory Column and the Brandenburg Gate. “The expectations were highly varied,” she said in her live report, “from a few thousand up to a million. Those were the estimates. But, now, several tens of thousands have turned out.” Barely five minutes before the speech was supposed to start, ZDF Berlin studio chief Peter Frey added, “We do estimate that 20,000 [literally, “a couple of ten thousand”] people have turned out.” Frey’s tone, like that of Gelhard, reflected the gap between the relatively modest number cited and the lofty predictions that had preceded the event. Moreover, while the ZDF live images showed that the “Fan Mile” was indeed populated from one end to the other, they also appeared to reveal patches of thinness and pedestrian traffic flowing easily on the half of the boulevard closer to the Brandenburg Gate (i.e. furthest from the “Victory Column”).

  42. Before I dive in, let me get the ‘objectivity’ thing out of the way. As a citizen journalist whose main claim to fame is producing satirical comedy, I can be upfront about my political leanings. I’m a recovering libertarian and currently I’m a registered Democrat who is excited to be voting for Barack Obama in November. I like John Edwards and up until a few days ago, he would have been my first choice for Vice President on an Obama ticket. I’m far from Puritan – anything two or more consenting adults want to do is fine by me. I also think it’s obvious a person’s sexual life doesn’t keeps them from being an effective politician.

I’m judging this situation using two standards; 1) what’s the truth? 2) how’s it going to play out in the media?

The truth is that I believe anyone who looks into the John Edwards / Rielle Hunter affair story will see that Edwards has, at best, acted in a very suspicious manner for over a year now. When the Larry Craig story was breaking, I didn’t buy his particular line of bullshit and I don’t buy Edwards’s either after I’ve spent the last couple of days Googling with my wife. (That’s not as dirty as it sounds.) At first, I was skeptical of the National Enquirer story catching Edwards leaving the Beverly Hills Hotel at 2:45am because there were no pictures and the tabloids aren’t reliable. Now it turns out that Edwards was at the hotel, so was Ms. Hunter, and that he when he saw reporters he hid in the bathroom until security guards came and got him.

I got more suspicious after reading a story on The Huffington Post from last September by Sam Stein detailing the weird story of some short webisodes about John Edwards that mysteriously were pulled off the internet. Read it yourself here and fold it into the mix of the current allegations.

Let’s go with the assumption that Edwards is innocent for a moment; he didn’t have the affair so the baby isn’t his. If he didn’t do anything wrong then it seems like he’d have good reasons to stop the rumors. A DNA test months ago would have ended all speculation about the paternity of the baby. Isn’t that a better, less suspicious move than pulling down all the videos that Rielle Hunter helped produce about him for his campaign? And if there are rumors and you’re innocent, WHY go visit the subject of those rumors at a hotel and leave at 2:45 in the morning? Why hide in the bathroom when reporters catch you leaving? These actions don’t make any more sense to me than Craig’s ‘wide stance / dropped my toilet paper’ defense did.

We’re at the point of calm before the big waves hit but there are signs of the impending deluge. Jay Leno is making jokes about it. Perez Hilton is on the story. The mainstream media is fairly quiet but the most ominous silence right now is from the progressive blogosphere.

The progressive blogosphere is ignoring this story at its own peril because it’s going to be big. At this moment, there’s a weird state of denial about the entire thing. As of 4pm Saturday, nothing at all on TalkingPointMemo.com. DailyKos did a dismissive post making fun of the Enquirer. FireDogLake? Nothing. Americablog? Nada. These are some of my favorite blogs, by the way.

The Huffington Post has at least hovered about the edges of the story as it’s been unfolding. There have been a couple of half-hearted, nothing-to-see-here blogs but also news reports on the latest events. A blog by John McQuaid said that there’s no “physical evidence a la Bill Clinton.” Well, there’s a baby. Not a stained dress left to hang in the closest for a few months but a real cooing, smiling little baby who I assume looks adorable on camera and probably has nice hair. That lil’ tyke is stuffed full of DNA, too. Cute little DNA.

Despite what some people are going to say, this is news. A former Senator and Vice Presidential candidate who was running for President less than six months ago and is now on the short list for Vice President has an long affair during the campaign and fathers a child, covers it up, and then is caught at a hotel with the mother of the child. News! Oh – and his wife made regular appearances on the campaign trail and as been diagnosed with cancer. If it were Mitt Romney, you’d be hearing peels of laughter and the satisfying smacking sound of Merlot and Starbucks fueled high fives coming from the nearest blue state. Would it have made the progressive blogs? C’mon, of course it would…with funny pictures and as many self-satisfied comments as you can shake a Macbook Air at.

It’s a juicy story that has so many elements that are easy hooks for those short segments on cable news where two people argue while the news anchor asks softball questions. Here’s a quick list of all the story angles I can think of just off the top of my head.

John Edwards Matters This isn’t a Mike Gravel affair. (Sorry to put that image in your head.) John Edwards been the conscience of the Democratic Party this primary season and a compelling presence speaking out on the growing gap between rich and poor. If he wasn’t going to be Vice President, most Democrats wanted him somewhere in an Obama cabinet.

Video Clips Galore! Cable news loves showing video clips, usually in looping montages. Those webisodes that Hunter made that were taken down? They look flirty and suspicious in light of the alleged affair.

It’s Fresh The Edwards affair happened during the primary campaign. This isn’t ancient history. What if he’s WON the primary? Would he really have taken the nomination and handed the race to McCain?

Primary Revisionism Will the affair change the way we look back on the primary? Why did Edwards drop out of the race so quickly? Why did Edwards not endorse anyone until his endorsement was a moot point? Endless debates will ensue.

DNA! The press loves any story with DNA. Drama! DNA test refusals. Acceptance. Test goes out. What will happen? It’s like Montel Williams but it takes weeks!

Democratic Convention in Denver happening soon. Will Edwards speak? Will he appear at all? What about Elizabeth? Oh, the drama. You’ll see.

“How could he do that to his sick wife?” This whole thing doesn’t play well with women voters. Or women non-voters. Or men.

“Should we care about politician’s sex lives?” Whatever your answer, that’s a hook for the press. As soon as the story reaches a big tipping point, the mainstream press will question the story.

“Liberal media bias” – here’s the big one. Republicans have had a lot of embarrassing, juicy sex scandals of their own lately and boy, do they want some payback. It doesn’t look good that the Los Angeles Times banned bloggers from discussing the story. Where’s the Times investigation – seems like the story is in their backyard. And that silence you hear from the mainstream press right now? The GOP is going to “play the refs” and jump all over the media for not reporting or investigating this story. The media will eventually break down and do what they do – saturate us with the story they missed just to prove how unbiased they really are.

I suspect it’s the same sort of doubletalk they gave us with FL/MI. “Oh, the delegates will be seated, sure they’ll get to vote.” They have in mind some ‘honorary’ sort of ‘on ballot’ or ‘roll call’ etc that won’t really count becuae she hasn’t been ‘officially’ something or other. I think Heidi Li has the details at her blog.

    http://withoutparty.typepad.com./without_party/2008/07/burning-ships-b.html
    ==============================

I agree with that blogger. It’s more smoke and mirrors. Make people think he won Iowa and he’s inevitable. Make them think he won enough delegates — “At this definitive moment” — Make victory speeches and victory laps before you’ve won anything.

It’s just more of the same. I’m not real sure it’s the low level superdelegtes he’s targeting though; what would they care what Germany thinks? More likely it’s Pelosi and Kennedy and others at or above their level, to make them embarrassed to change their minds now.

As they might, after he’s moved the party to Chicago, run up a bill for stadium and colored food … and sent Dean out sweating for voter registration in the south in midsummer.

  45. On Hillary’s website she is asking for contributions for her 2010 Senate run. I suspect thats where she plans to stay.

BHO and CO. will not let her get the nomination and most certainly she will not set herself up to iron his shirts as VP. (or at least she’d be crazy to do so)

My thoughts are to stop BHO from the presidency, send him home to Chicago with his big head and empty suit and let him feel good about being the first BLACK candidate for president. The only reason I emphasize that is because that is his only claim to fame. He has nothing that qualifies him to take on the job of president at this critical time in our history. And if that makes me racist then I accept the label.

The SD’s have just lost their seats for this insidious mess. I will not forget.

  46. debbie

I agree. These people are not thinking logically, or we would not be this far down the road. To not give any consideration to the Popular vote, or any RESPECT to the Popular vote is something that defies my logic. We all know if the shoe were on the other foot, things would be a lot different now.

However, with the actions already taken, I am not sure they will accept a defeat of O in the GE. They have not taken his defeat in the Popular vote as a defeat. In addtion it will all be blamed on HRC, and I am sure they will recycle him.

I think the Demcoratic party, as I knew it is gone.

However, if the SDs start losing their seats, I think this will speak loud and clear.

  47. From AlixF link.

Absolutely right on. The goal of the European jaunt was to invoke charges of racism against Americans if Waffles doesn’t get the nomination.

‘Obama’s trip has nothing to do with foreign policy other than appearances. Obama’s trip is to increase his popularity abroad, provide photo ops, etc. but for one overarching reason: By doing so, Obama is cementing himself as nominee so that Democratic superdelegates are forced to vote for him in Denver so as not to make the world upset and make the DNC look foolish.’
    ############################
‘Obama’s trip was not a “campaign trip” to sway voters in America. It was a trip to sway opinion abroad to force the Democrats to not even think about voting for Hillary in Denver. A photo op with wounded soldiers mattered not. American opinion of the trip matters not. Only the opinion of the world matters.
    ########
‘This, in a way, was the true point of no return for Obama. The last nail in Hillary’s coffin. The proverbial “Cortez burning his ships.”

  48. I guess that is possible, but why should American’s care who the Europeans want as our President. In fact, over the Iraq War, many have been critical of their support or non support.

It fact some people might just vote the opposite of their opionion.

I have respect for the Europeans, but I don’t have a say in their elections, and I really think they should not have a say in ours. Since this is not their country, I am not even sure they care about or understand our issues.

  49. The people that will bring Hillary’s name up for nomination and a true Roll Call are the SDs. If the polls keep going down, and McCain keeps going up, it is the SDs that have power and influence over Dean.

And even then the YEHAW man might not listen.

  50. EVERYONE!

I seldom post articles more than once but this is an absolute must-read from the city Edition.
Brazill-Rove Connection. i posted yesterday. it’s now front page on NQ. one of the most succinct clear explanations i’ve read.

    noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07/27/the-donna-brazile-karl-rove-connection/#comments

NMF, We already know the SD’s only care about not being labeled as racist and if AA’s approve of the European tour the SD’s will follow suit. It’s obvious they’ve thrown the rest of the county under the bus. (IMHO)

  51. The SDs care about their careers and winning. I think some of them are intelligent to know that a Lose for the Democratic Party at this point does not benefit any of them, especially if the 18 M are going to think about replacing the people who did not support the Popular vote. The Kennedy endorsements brought in nothing, and you can pretty much say that about the rest of the endorsements.

At a point you have to decide if your career is worth what is happening here. Dean will not be able to help anyone if his candidate loses in November.

This next month is going to tell the story. If the Polls don’t change much or become worse, they are in trouble. The media had this as their slam dunk year. However, the popular vote appears to be seeing this a lot differently.

  52. Off topic, but did anyone catch Hannity and Combs Friday night? Sean Hannity mentioned something about new books coming out on Obama soon and that there was some hard hitting information coming out in about a week. He said this to Dick Morris and looked and sounded giddy about it but said he promised he wouldn’t say anything yet. Speculation anyone?

  53. American girl,

I caught that just before the overwhelming urge to vomit provoked by the sight of Dickie’s pink sweaty face prompted me to turn the channel.

  54. VIII. WIDESPREAD VOTER FRAUD

The delegate allocation system of the Democratic Party primary process is byzantine in complexity, undemocratic in operation, counter-intuitive in terms of results—assuming the goal is to select the candidate most likely to prevail in the General Election.

But if your aim is to steal an election then the caucus system is made to order for you. Why? Because it is uniquely vulnerable to voter fraud. Caucus states tend to be small states, with low voter turnout, voting is done in a public forum, registration rules are lax and in some cases Republicans can participate. Thus, they can be manipulated by well trained legions of out of state activists—including Soros funded groups like ACORN and labor unions like SEIU. The other reason to focus on caucus states is because those states are given disproportionate weight in the delegate computation formula. (Note: for example, Obama won the caucus state of Idaho by 13,000 votes and Hillary won the state of Pennsylvania by 130,000 votes, yet each were awarded an equivalent number of delegates—which is counterintuitive).

The first state to vote was Iowa-a caucus state. It was an open caucus so Republicans and independents could participate. Same day registration was allowed. Verification procedures were lax. Thus, the opportunities and inducements were all in place for voter fraud to occur and nature took its course. The Clinton campaign projected a voter turnout of 140,000 based on historical trends. The actual turn-out was 240,000. The Obama campaign brought activists and huge numbers of others from his home state of Illinois to vote illegally in that election. Carl Rove instructed Republicans to vote against Hillary in his “Democrat For A Day” program. The election result was a pre-ordained certainty: Obama came in first, Edwards second (he had spent the prior two years campaigning there) and Hillary third.

The State of Washington held a caucus on February 9 and a pro-forma primary on February 19. Only ten percent of the electorate voted in the caucus due to the hardships it imposed, and Obama won by a margin of 2-1. But forty percent voted in the ensuing primary (even though the state was telling everyone it did not count) and the margin was roughly 1-1, i.e. 46-53. There were widespread incidents of intimidation and fraud by Obama supporters in the caucuses and out of state activists who preyed on elderly voters. At one precinct in Bellevue 200 Hillary supporters were turned because the room was too small to accommodate them. Nevertheless, our benighted Party Chairman-an avowed Obama supporter hailed the result as a “triumph of democracy”. If he had been in France in 1789 and beheld “the rabble of Paris” I suspect he would have said the same thing while they were dropping the guillotine blade to thunderous cheers.

But these examples are as nothing compared to what happened in Texas. An experienced Democratic Coordinator who goes by the blog name served as a volunteer in Texas and had this to say about the “triumph of democracy” that took place in the caucuses of that state:

“My observations in Texas were that caucuses were broadly illegitimate. In a few well-run counties, Hillary’s caucus vote was the same or better than the popular vote, but in chaotic counties, she fell behind by double digits. While Texas is the only state to have both a binding popular vote and a caucus vote, we saw similar results in Washington State, where Obama’s numbers plunged in the unofficial primary compared to the caucuses.”

“How did the Obama organizers seize the convention in the first place? By intimidation, by physically controlling the legal documents, and by ignoring the legal process that called for an election of officers. They took the convention package and never let go of it. We saw stolen precincts where Obama organizers fabricated counts, made false entries on sign-in sheets, suppressed delegate counts, and suppressed caucus voters.”

“In one example of fraud that I witnessed, one of my precinct captains, an elderly Hispanic woman, called me to report that BHO supporters had illegally seized control of the convention. During our series of phone calls, Mrs. “A.” reported that the Obama people took the convention materials and did not have a legal election of officers. The Obama people ordered Mrs. A. to sit across the room during the delegate calculation, and excluded Hillary supporters from the process. Mrs. A. overheard an Obama supporter call in a false delegate count to Austin. In a 13 delegate precinct where Obama should have won 4 delegates, the Obama supporters attempted to award 19 delegates to Obama”.

“Every Clinton staffer I have talked to has similar stories from other caucus states. Although the Hillary campaign has not gone public with evidence of fraud, the national legal team has approximately 200 such affidavits and 2000 voter complaints. I decided that Sen. Obama cannot be our nominee.”

Finally, if you look at what happened in the State of Indiana you see rampant fraud in Gary, Fort Wayne and South Bend. The Mayor of Gary was an unabashed supporter of Obama. There were more ballots cast in that city than there were voters. What is more, there were ten times as many absentee ballots cast as in a normal election. Obama prevailed in Gary by an overwhelming margin. In addition, the Mayor postponed the election results from that city to delay the announcement of her victory in Indiana, so Big Media could focus on his victory in North Carolina, and the late Tim Russert could falsely claim that Obama was now the nominee.

Wall Street Journal writer John Fund wrote recently that the Obama machine stunned, overwhelmed and conquered the vaunted Clinton machine. The truth is his campaign engaged in massive fraud in the caucus states. That is what gave him the pledged delegate margin, which allowed bloated pundits and party hacks to falsely pronounce him the winner. The only thing stunning about his victories was the degree of fraud that produced them.

  55. That was a good article about the brazille-rove connection. They joined forces to beat the Clintons is what it boils down to, not breaking the democratic party and saving it, that has nothing to do with it.
Brazille et la Al Gore wanted to defeat Hillary. It was payback time. They scored, but they have not counted on us the American people wanting Hillary to be our President, not some weakass elitest that will doing the bidding of the highest bidder.
Donna, Dean, Pelosi need to be thrown out of the party on their ear. It pisses me off to no end that they would stoop to this level and disregard our VOTES and to do so in a time of economic and national security disaster!

  56. basil9, where did this article on the Brazille-Rove connection come from?? We really need watch out for some of these articles because the powers that run this government don’t want us to know that the power brokers like Soros and the illuminati’s actually run this country. They would like us simple minded people to think it was a matter of Clinton hate in the Democratic party. I do think there is that hate, but I also think the powers exploited it to achieve what they wanted.

  57. wbboei, If you are there, did you read the Brazille-Rove article and what is your take on that??

Also what do you think about Hillary supposedly not wanting her name on the ballot?? Why do you think she would choose to do that??

  58. basil9 and confloyd – regarding the brazzilla-rove connection.

my question is, does rove not care if a dem wins the presidency as long as he is a puppet of big oil and gop financial interests? or, is rove setting-up brazilla and company for a GOP blow-out in november by putting a loser democrat in as nominee?

    any ideas?

  59. Hey Guys,

Been tied up – like Houdini- hope all’s well.

Can anyone bring me up-to-date on the roll call vote?

  60. Alcina, if Brazille was stupid enough to trust and help Rove, the she better get ready because Rove will definitely turn around and stab her in the back!

The republicans are going to let the shoe drop on Obama just as soon as Hillary is out of the picture!

  61. confloyd

guess i’m getting a bit anxious to see the shoe drop. i want to see the dam burst on this fraud. when those gop flood-gates open, i’ll be sitting front and center watching the show laughing my ass-off.

  62. attempted to watch cnn live B-Ho unity 08 “press conference” (tough questions from real journalists!)..so what do we get? non-stop MSM-fellatio plus planted B-HO audience applauding every fart. total cluster-f**k.

The Denver Convention….You Will Be Assimilated….

will the glorious wonders of the Borg Prince ever cease? He has given us so many gifts in the last few months but I want to personally thank him for this one. As he has declared and so made happen, an open convention for the masses shall be had at Invesco Field….but not quite as open as one would like to think, click here.

Houston: I am still thinking we have a problem…..and it’s name is The Borg Collective….

The crowd enveloping Barack Obama when he accepts the Democratic nomination for president at Invesco Field at Mile High will be asked to get to work for the privilege of witnessing the historic event live.

In a half-hour interview Wednesday with The Denver Post, Obama’s deputy campaign manager, Steve Hildebrand, said he wants to use the ticketing process as a massive recruitment tool meant to bring in supporters from all 50 states and energize them to carry the campaign into the final 60 days of the general election.

“We’re going to ask those 80,000 people in that stadium to march out of there and go with very specific instructions and goals to register millions of new voters,” Hildebrand said.

    …..

Those who want a seat will begin the process at their local Democratic Party office. While demonstrating their ability to attend, they also will be encouraged to sign on to the campaign as volunteers.

Hildebrand said that to ensure the campaign fills the stadium, the application process becomes in and of itself, a recruiting tool.

“Every single person is going to be a level of seriousness,” Hildebrand said. “You know, ‘Tell us how you’re going to get there from Maine. Tell us how you’re going to get there from Florida. Give us a sense of whether or not you’re really serious about this. If you’re not, we’re going to provide someone else with this.’ “

    You will be assimilated……

  64. That is interesting. Because the people that can afford to come, and the people willing to go door to door might be two different groups.

My limited experiences tells me you need a special person to convince, or talk to people. Even those on the phone, they use special people that can talk and pursuade people that are on the fence. So, just because you can afford the trip, does not mean you will return and immediately start canvassing.

In fact, they would be better off identifying those people in the 50 and paying for them to come. But then O needs every cent just to stay even with McCain.

Remember the final shift usually is toward the known comfortable candidate, so O needs a big lead to make sure that does not happen.

HE HAS NOT CLOSED THE DEAL YET.

  65. I can’t believe, people are tolerating this propaganda and brainwashing machine. I will not be assimilated.

  66. Do not forget — your rep. is up for reelection or is challenged by a Dem. Offer to help but ONLY if he/she insists on Hillary’s name in nomination. If not, you will go to work for the Republican.

You want to dump our votes for party unity?

The real heir to Bush is Obama. Read birdgal’s description of Obama above and put Bush’s name in.

We didn’t bargain for the real Bush — we aren’t going to be fooled again with another full-of-himself ignoramus.

Vote for change — vote McCain

  67. When Samantha Powers declares that when “The President of the United States makes a speech on foriegn soil it is NOT a campaign speech”.
Do you wonder WHY these people believe he is already POTUS, just ask Brazille, Rove, Soros and Dean! What the American people want is immaterial, its what the powers had decided, not us!

  68. Those are dangerous people. When you forget who is the most important thing in a Democracy, the people, you need to be fired.

  69. Those are dangerous people referred to Brazille, Rove, Soros and Dean of course, the the second people I referred to was the voters, us.

“I think people make a judgment by what we do and what we don’t do. He certainly found time to do other things.” — John McCain

George Stephanopoulos interviewed John McCain at length on his Sunday morning program, ABC’s This Week, and asked Sen. McCain about Obama’s decision not to visit the wounded soldiers at Landstuhl:

Barack Obama’s Chinese Connection: His Half Brother Mark

Barack Obama has railed against Chinese Imports and free trade that is ‘ruining’ the United States. Now we find out that the Obama clan has a relative promoting cheap Chinese imports to America. Obama’s half brother Mark Ndesandjo hides from the limelight unlike his sibling Barack jr. Mark lives a shady existence in China with a questionable reputation.

This will be embarrassing to the Obama campaign as soon as these revelations take hold in the media. Not necessarily the MSM which idolizes the Messiah.

From The Sunday Times of London:

BARACK Obama’s half-brother has been helping to promote cheap Chinese exports in a low-profile business career while the Democratic senator has been winning worldwide fame in his race for the White House.

He has gone to extraordinary lengths to avoid public attention and his family links remain unknown to most of his acquaintances in Shenzhen, a border boomtown in southern China where he has lived since 2002.

Mark Ndesandjo is the son of Barack Obama’s late father and his third wife, an American woman named Ruth Nidesand who runs the up-market Maduri kindergarten in Nairobi.

Obama, however, refers to him simply as “my brother” and says he was the only uncontested heir after their father, a Kenyan, died in a car crash in 1982.
    Related Links

But the two men held sharply diverging views on their African heritage and while Obama chose to live in the glare of publicity, his half-brother submerged himself in the crowds of the most cosmopolitan city in China.

Friends say he has a long-term Chinese girlfriend in her 20s from Henan, a poor landlocked province that sends millions of migrants to the coastal cities.

“He is big, strong and full of energy, speaks good Chinese and is a really easygoing guy,” said a Chinese friend, “He always wears a hat over his shaven head. I believe he has several consultancy jobs.”

Chinese officials said there are unanswered questions about his internet-based company, Worldnexus Ltd. It has provided corporate communications and website design to Chinese firms seeking customers in English-speaking markets, of which the United States is the biggest.

Worldnexus is not registered to conduct business in Shenzhen and officials at the city’s commercial administration bureau said this raised potential issues of taxation and compliance with the law by its customers.

The company’s Chinese-language website promises “increased communication efficiency” to clients and lists Shenzhen exporters of electronics and machine parts among its contracts.

The website lists an office address in the west of the city but despite a search of the area and checks with local police, no such building could be located.

Nor is Worldnexus Ltd legally registered in Hong Kong, where many businesses choose to incorporate for their China trade, according to an official data check.

Barack’s father had several wives and Obama junior has many full and half siblings. God knows how many more problematic relatives are going to pop btween now and election day.

The Obama campaign will be trying to stomp out these brush fires for quite some time.

Could it be that the glow is fading from Barack Obama’s halo?

News Busters Calls the Main Stream Media on Ignoring Puma and Other Anti Obama Democrats
People online know about Puma. They’re impossible to miss. They have grown at a rapid rate, organizing, protesting, fundraising, and becoming a bona fide political action committee. They have not faded away as some predicted they would do, yet they receive little media coverage. News Busters takes on the press in their article MSM Mostly Ignores Surge of Anti-Obama PUMA Democrat Activity.

They are known as PUMA (“People United Means Action” or “Party Unity My Ass”). PUMA was formed last month in the aftermath of Hillary Clinton conceding the Democrat nomination to Obama. However, contrary to being just a desperate last gasp by Hillary’s supporters, PUMA activities seem to be surging lately despite the overseas trip by Obama which was widely heralded by the mainstream media. In fact, the official PUMA PAC website has today announced, in a message directed towards Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, their view that the Obama trip was a “flop”.
Despite being ignored for the most part by the MSM which desires to present the view of a Democrat party united for Obama, more and more stories such as the ones above are seeping out with increasing frequency.

  73. Barack Obama’s Empty Promise To His Father’s African Village

Barack Obama’s promise to his father’s African village hasn’t been kept. A promise broken in the two years since his historic visit to his father’s ancestral village in 2006 still hasn’t been realized. Another photo-op and more stagecraft with no pledges kept to help fund the school honored with his name.

Barack Obama; proving that he is nothing more than an empty suit filled with empty promises.

It is an extraordinary sight to walk into a basic two-room house under a mango tree in rural east Africa and discover what is essentially a shrine to Barack Obama.

The small brick house with no running water, a tin roof and roving chickens, goats and cows is owned by Sarah Obama, Barack’s 86-year-old step-grandmother. Inside, the walls are decorated with a 2008 Obama election sticker, an old “Barack Obama for Senate” poster on which he has written “Mama Sarah Habai [how are you?]“, a 2005 calendar that says “The Kenyan Wonder Boy in the US”, and more than a dozen family photos.

But this bucolic scene in his father’s village of Kogelo near the Equator in western Kenya conceals a troubling reality that, until now, has never been spoken about. Barack Obama, the Evening Standard can reveal, after we went to the village earlier this month, has failed to honour the pledges of assistance that he made to a school named in his honour when he visited here amid great fanfare two years ago.

At that historic homecoming in August 2006 Obama was greeted as a hero with thousands lining the dirt streets of Kogelo. He visited the Senator Obama Kogelo Secondary School built on land donated by his paternal grandfather. After addressing the pupils, a third of whom are orphans, and dancing with them as they sang songs in his honour, he was shown a school with four dilapidated classrooms that lacked even basic resources such as water, sanitation and electricity.

He told the assembled press, local politicians (who included current Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga), and students: “Hopefully I can provide some assistance in the future to this school and all that it can be.” He then turned to the school’s principal, Yuanita Obiero, and assured her and her teachers: “I know you are working very hard and struggling to bring up this school, but I have said I will assist the school and I will do so.”

The market is where we head next to speak to villagers about their hopes for an Obama victory in November and what it might do for their village. Mary Manasse, 40, who runs the Mama Siste Mini Shop selling staples such as bread and cow’s milk (packaged in old Coke bottles) says she has a photograph of Obama shaking hands with her on his 2006 visit.

“Back then I was looking after 40 orphans at the orphan centre,” she recalls. “We faced a desperate shortage of money and Obama told us that he especially liked special, dedicated projects like ours and wanted to help. We thought he would give funds to help our project but we got nothing. A few months later we were forced to shut down the orphan centre because of lack of funds. Just a million Kenyan shillings [£6,000] would have kept us going another year. I feel disappointed that he did not come through.”

A few stalls away mango-seller Gladys Anyango, 60, does an impromptu Obama impression to the amusement of her fellow peddlers. She places her hands on her hips, gazes into the middle distance and, mimicking his deep voice, says: “How are you, people of Kogelo?” Her friends collapse with laughter. She also takes off Obama’s wife, Michelle, who had accompanied him on his visit along with his two daughters, Malia and Sasha.

“Oh, but there will be a big party here when Obama wins,” she adds. “We still have hope that he will bring electricity and build schools so the children have a good education. Maybe when he’s President of America, he’ll remember his roots and look after his community in Kenya.”

The Messiah is too busy saving Europe on his “Most Excellent World Tour”… to hell with the relatives.

  79. WASHINGTON — Sen. Barack Obama acknowledged today that he had failed to understand how much violence would decrease this year in Iraq, but he contended that President Bush and Sen. John McCain, the Republicans’ presumptive presidential candidate, had made the same mistake.

Meanwhile, McCain insisted in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” that he had not shifted his support of an American exit in 2010, despite comments he made Friday that the 16-month withdrawal plan espoused by Iraq’s prime minister “is a pretty good timetable.”

Addressing what has become one of his most difficult campaign issues, Obama said that the violence “has gone down more than any of us have anticipated, including President Bush and John McCain.”

But the presumed Democratic presidential nominee, appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” argued that the decline was brought about not just by the U.S. troop increase, but also by a combination of factors, including Iraqi Sunnis’ decision to turn against the Al Qaeda members in their midst.

“To try to single out a single factor in a messy situation is not accurate,” he said, while also emphasizing that U.S. combat forces had made “an enormous difference.”

The Illinois senator, who returned to the United States late Saturday after a week in South Asia, the Middle East and Europe, has struggled to explain his opposition to a troop increase, strongly supported by McCain, that has come to be widely viewed as an important contributor to improved security in the country.

Obama also sought to rebut charges that his speech in Berlin, to an enthusiastic crowd estimated at 200,000 people, was largely free of substance or any specifics that would displease his audience.

He pointed out that he had called on Germany to do more in Afghanistan and Iraq, and had decried the reflexive anti-Americanism in Europe.

“That wasn’t an applause line in Germany,” he said.

Despite his call for Germany to do more on joint security efforts, he went easy on the German government, saying that Chancellor Angela Merkel “is doing as much as she can” to step up German military contributions to Afghanistan “given the politics in her country.”

Obama, who has often faulted the Bush administration for failing to mobilize a full effort for Middle East peace until 2007, praised the Bush team for its efforts since last fall toward creation of a Palestinian state.

He said that the administration has “moved the ball forward” since last fall, though it may leave an unfinished job that the next president will have to “move quickly” to complete. He said the next president would also need to move quickly to deal with the threat from Iran’s nuclear program.

McCain’s comments on the timetable for withdrawal from Iraq were prompted by comments in a CNN interview Friday in which he had been asked to explain why Prime Minister Nouri Maliki now generally supported the 16-month timetable endorsed by Obama.

Maliki “said it’s a pretty good timetable based on conditions on the ground,” McCain said in the Friday interview. “I think it’s a pretty good timetable, as we should — or horizons for withdrawal. But they have to be based on conditions on the ground.”

Obama’s campaign hailed the comment as a sign that McCain, like Maliki, was moving toward the Democrat’s position.

But McCain insisted on the ABC program that he would favor any timetable as long as it was justified by improved conditions in Iraq.

“I like six months, three months, two months. I like yesterday. I like yesterday, OK? That seems really good to me. But the fact is, the conditions on the ground have not dictated it,” he said.

The Arizona senator said he was not questioning Obama’s patriotism last week when he charged that the Democrat had been willing to lose the war if it helped him with the political campaign.

“I’m not questioning his patriotism. I’m questioning his actions,” McCain said. “All I’m saying is, he does not understand. . . . He made the decision that was political, in order to help him win the nomination of his party.”

McCain strongly defended his original support for the war, which has become another key point of contention between the two.

As had been predicted in 2003, “we were greeted as liberators,” he insisted. He added, though, that the Bush administration mishandled the war “in a way that was so harmful that I stood up against it.”

  84. Obama not basing VP pick on geography,
    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0708/12083.html

Barack Obama said he’ll give his vice president substantive work and will choose his running mate based on ability to govern, not to help win a state in November.

Obama listed the qualities he’ll be looking for: “I’m going to want somebody with integrity. I’m going to want somebody with independence — who’s willing to tell me where he thinks, or she thinks, I’m wrong. And I’m going to want somebody who shares a vision of the country: where we need to go — that we’ve got to fundamentally change not only our policies, but how politics work, how business is done in Washington.”

In an interview taped in London for NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Tom Brokaw asked Obama about the “old rules” of picking a ticket mate based on electoral strength in some region, and “someone who is stronger in some policy area than you are.”

“I think the most important thing, from my perspective, is somebody who can help me govern,” Obama said. “I want somebody who I’m compatible with, who I can work with, who has a shared vision, who certainly complements me, in the sense that they provide a knowledge base or an area of expertise that can be useful. Because we’re going to have a lot of problems and a lot of work to do.”

“I’m not interested in a vice president who I just send off to go to funerals,” he continued. “I want somebody who’s going to be able to roll up their sleeves and really do some work.”

Obama made complimentary remarks about both Clintons, even breaking his self-imposed rule of not talking about his “short list” for vice president.

“Hillary Clinton would be on anybody’s short list,” he said. “She is one of the most effective, intelligent, courageous leaders that we have in the Democratic Party. … I would love to have Bill Clinton campaigning for me.”

Obama indicated town halls with McCain are unlikely: “I think it’s important for us to have some hard-hitting debates. I think it’s also important for us to spend time talking to the voters directly, and that’s what I intend to do.”

Obama turns to the economy tomorrow, and revealed in an interview with Bloomberg News that he will meet with his own Big Three financial advisers — former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin, former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker and billionaire investor Warren Buffett.

  85. Ann Veneman, Obama VP? Progressives Slam Idea

ARTICLE AT HUFFPO (won’t link to here)

Barack Obama’s vice presidential search team has floated the name of a member of President Bush’s first-term Cabinet, Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, as Obama’s running mate.

The search committee, now led by Caroline Kennedy and Eric Holder, raised Veneman’s name — among others — in discussions with members of Congress, said two Democrats familiar with the conversations.

  88. well folks……. it’s been so much fun being here at the old house once again with MY laptop and DSL 😀

but today is the last day 😥 Waaaaaaaaaaaa!

and hubby is about to disconnect my modem on me……I think he wants me to get busy LOL!

so i will be here at the forum daily, just wont be surfing the net as much on dial up

by the GE I will be back on DSL 😀

  89. Hey guys

So sorry I have not been on lately but i managed to fall down a huge flight of stairs and only just got out of hospital have busted my arm and leg and in traction for the last longgggggggggggg while.

Just catching up on whats been going on with dickhead. Missed you all loads. Not fun typing one handed and in not in a good way….lol.

  90. Moononpluto, OMG, thankgoodness you are alright. Those kinds of falls are bad, you must of broke the femur to be in traction, hopefully you did not need to have rods out in. Glad you are back!

  91. Obama’s search for VP comments are lifted (copied) from McCain.
McCain made a statement earlier, I think a day or two ago?
have no link, but I remember seeing it.
I cannot verify it and I don’t recall if it was a preview to this morning’s interview with the talk shows.

There is something really creepy about Obama.
The pathological lying, the narcissistic personality disorder,
the lack of accountability for the caucus fraud and voter abuse,
lack of accountability for his past, lack of contemporaneous peers,
the use of racism as a smoke screen, the adulation from MSM…

  92. Yeah, well, i would not recommend it to anyone except maybe a certain senator from Illinois. For that i’d gladfully push the SOB myself.

Yes glad to see the old gang is still here though. Just been near vomit territory seeing what he’s been up to in Europe.

  93. MIdem,

For a handle on Obama’s creepiness, see Steve Sailer’s blog. He’s actually reading Obama’s autobiography and quoting the factual parts. He was raised by creepy white liberal guilt grandparents. That’s how he learned to manipulate that type.

    There’s a link at my site ironmyvote.com/index.html#obamabackground

  94. …there is something really creepy here.
An ever sprawling international family tree.
Complete lack of a public vetting, the indoctrination of campaign workers, indoctrination of children.

Mostly what I don’t like, is the way he can look at an interviewer
that dares ask a substantive question, he will try to charm his way out of giving a concrete answer.
He will smile, trying to be charming, and try to spin in his favor to alleviate doubt. He tries to control the conversation, and control
another’s assessment of himself and the situation.
He hides too much about himself.

*Double Header* — LANNY DAVIS and then RICKI LIEBERMAN to be on “No We Won’t” P.U.M.A. Radio!!

    Sunday, July 27th, 8pm EST

    PUMAs!

From Will Bower: I can’t tell you how excited I am for EPISODE ELEVEN of “No We Won’t” P.U.M.A. Radio!

Beginning at 8pm EST, we’ll be hosting one of my (and our) heroes from this campaign season, LANNY DAVIS. While it’s true that he is currently giving Obama his support, no one was braver or more articulate in supporting Hillary on the campaign trail than was Lanny. I still consider him our friend. We look forward to giving him a warm welcome, and to asking him about ways in which we can support the process of having Hillary Clinton’s name placed into nomination at Convention.

But the show doesn’t stop there! At 9pm EST, we will be welcoming Hillraiser RICKI LIEBERMAN of “ToGetHer4Us” and “The Electability Watch” to discuss her ongoing efforts to make sure that the most electable candidate, Hillary Clinton, is the Democratic nominee.

As always, please be aware that — regardless of what blogtalkradio.com may tell you — the show will begin at 8pm EST Sunday night.

This is a Must-Listen-To episode, folks! We look forward to meeting up with you again at “No We Won’t P.U.M.A. Blog Talk Radio!”

  100. I’ve just had a peak over at DU, my god what a propoganda site, completely taken over and dissention is not allowed. They are trying to say that the MSM has been hard on Obama and unfair while letting McCain away with everything, the disconnect is just incredulous.

  115. we plan to show our low class to NObama in NOvember. I will NEver vote for that FRAUD, FLIMFLAM FLIPPER FAKE FUCKER.

  116. BTW, I got early practice this week in my country tax assesor election .. I voted my first Republican EVER.

  117. In addition to all the major complaints about Obama
I really get a queasy feeling in my gut when Obama is being interviewed.
The way he can look at the interviewer, close up – face to face,
with that fake smile, I think he is at best, a con man.
    I get the hee-be geebees.

  118. Also what do you think about Hillary supposedly not wanting her name on the ballot?? Why do you think she would choose to do that??
    ————————————————
turndownobama: I heard this afternoon from a very reliable source that Terri McAuliffe her name would not be placed in nominaton. That is a sensible move given the way DNC has the convention of 100%lockdown. They are arranging seating so clinton delegates cannot walk out and there will be major intimiation if they try. Under those circumstances if her name were placed in nomination people woud be afraid to vote for her. Whereas if that is not down history records a very close election studded wiht stunning fraud by obama. If he goes on to lose in November then the stage is set for serious housecleaning. Under those circumstances it is hyothetically possible that Hillary could run in 2012.

I really do fear for our country if these nazis win the general election.

  119. One more point. If this whole charade is being guided and directed by globalists on a free trade binge, then if Hillary decided to run in 2012 she would have to run as a free trader. In those case to me about her.

  120. Wbboei…I was told too the other day that it IS a done deal with Obama….

We are about to go into four years of COMPLETE THUGGERY AND ANARCHY if Howard Dean and Brazile and Soros are allowed to take over the Government.

I have fear that even if he does not win the GE, he will win…through the Bush voting machines.

  121. Norma Desmond,

I can’t believe that McCain is such a terrible campaigner. I am afraid that BHO might win in Nov.

  122. Sooner or later this thing will blow up in their faces. I do not know how or when but I am 100% sure it will. Maybe when they try to set a reichstag fire. Give me just one honest journalist to call the game on that–yes I know that is an oxmoron.

  123. Wbboei – another Florida “fluke” is that the State’s Primaries for state offices are…ta da….during the convention week. SO…that being said, if you are a delegate from Florida and active in local politics, you have to choose between voting in the State OR going to the convention.

    Gotta take the dog out

  124. I can’t believe that McCain is such a terrible campaigner. I am afraid that BHO might win in Nov.

    _______________________________________
Norma Desmond: if I were a florida offical and was forced to chose between voting or going to this show trial convention, I would stay home, send the dog to Denver and tell him to do what comes naturally right on the convention floor.

  126. I hope Hillary does not speak at the convention. What could she possibly say. The sexism thing should be addressed in a differnent forum. The dems no longer own the issue and they look foolish talking about it when they stood mute when it mattered. Best not to lend credence to this sort of thing. It is unamerican.

  127. Amazing, that in one of the first democracy’s in the World, we all feel so helpless.

    How can that be?

  128. Wbboei…I believe that is what they intend. I also got a call tonight from an active Dem Party Organizer from Miami. He was working in Palm Beach CO with GOTV efforts. HOWEVER – he HAD STOPPED working with and hiring people for the GOTV efforts for His Higness and was only working to promote local officials, judges etc.

He said the Obama camp came into South Florida, tossed out most of the LONG TERM Dem party workers there and replaced them with BO Loyalists. The locals are SCREAMING MAD about this and apparently the bots running all over south Florida are being paid $2500 a month to work 12-15 hour days for His Highness and don’t have a clue what they are doing. The local constituents are confused and don’t understand why they can no longer work with the Party “officials” they have known for years.

I smell BIG TIME voter fraud in the works from Mr. Hope and Change and CO., and if I EVER hear Donna Brazille say “right out of Karl Rove’s Playbook” again, I will at least this time know SHE KNOWS what she is talking about. Good student that she is.

  130. If this is true we will be in a civil war should Waffles gain the WH.

Here’s the site and some excerpts.

    hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/thegreatamericanraciadivide.aspx

THE GREAT AMERICAN RACIAL DIVIDE WHY IT MAY NEVER END

Hillary Loyalist began a quiet journalistic investigation on a subject that is sure to ruffle a few feathers. It began when The Obama camp cried out that President Bill Clinton was making racist comments in South Carolina before their Primary. I really felt at the time that these so called comments had little truth to them. What was not really discussed was the motivation of such accusations.
    *********************************
Andy Martin wrote a very thought provoking article in Newsmax on April 3, 2007. Please keep in mind that this was before the Primary Race between Clinton and Obama hit the pavement running. He asks is America ready to pay for Slave Reparations? You must then ask yourself is Obama with a white and black heritage opposed to reparations. Andy Martin went on to say “Nothing is ever simple and straightforward where Obama and words come together”. In fact the reparations crowd in DC and Chicago are literally salivating at the prospect that he will become the 44th President. They hope with their heart in their hand that they will finally have their gravy train for slavery that took place centuries ago.
    **********************************
Prior to his 2004 election to the US Senate he opposed slave reparations. After his election, he subtly changed his view, stating he was not for “just signing over checks to African-Americans” leaving open the possibility of other forms of reparations being acceptable to him (Chicago Tribune Nov 14, 2004).
    ***********************************************
A comment made by Andy backs up my belief that this primary season has been a sham. The people did not elect this man he was selected. Martins exact quote on April 4, 2007 is as follows: “ US Rep John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is reportedly waiting for Obama to be elected so Conyers can rush a reparations law through Congress (The Hill, March 13, 2007) Hmmm. Does Conyers know something we don’t?” This statement does he know something we don’t was made before Obama supposedly won. How was he privy to such knowledge? We PUMAS have known for quite some time that this Primary was a selection by the few radical liberal Democrats that seem to control the entire Party. This one statement adds to the mounting creditability that the nomination was stolen from Hillary Clinton.

    ————————————————

Well, the diary disappeared. I’ll try again later. Or you start one there or wherever you like and I’ll come to it.

  133. Debra Bartoshevich, the duly elected Democratic Party delegate for Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin who vowed undying loyalty to the former first lady, has been dumped by the state party and barred from attending the Democratic National Convention in Denver next month.

Full article can be read here : latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/07/hillary-clint-5.html

  134. It’s War!!!

And unfortunately Africans American are going to be caught in the middle because of a few greedy jackasses from all sides. I am very disappointed in the Democratic Leadership and you better comprehend this.

AA’s don’t have the power to do all this, Obama is being supported by very, very powerful people and they are not AA’s. I don’t believe Obama will do anything for the AA community like most think he will do…his focus is outside America and gaining power.

My concern with Obama is his total lack of concern for this governmental traditions and his willingness to use totalitarian tactics and elevating that corrupted Chicago Political system nationwide.

I’m hoping that the Democratic Party will come to it’s senses before the convention but Dean/Brazile/Pelosi and the rest of the idiotic team is taking the base for granted.

The party will be split come this convention and what is pissing me off is that AA’s will received the blame for this mess, instead of holding John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi and other Party Leaders feet to the fire..those cowards will duck and hide if this abandonment is not successful and blame it on the Clintons.

I have a choice to vote for anybody I choose to…so I’m not whinning and crying over the Democratic party. I do know that people are under estimating the Republicans and overestimating Obama.

All Team Obama has done is continue to let their ego go un check and the more they continue to use tactics to shut down dissent and debate they are going to split apart the party from the inside.

My biggest concern has been the media and the lack of safeguards this election cycle. This has been the worst I’ve ever seen in my lifetime.

  135. Somebody help this Canadian out…

Has this ever happened before? That a democratic delegate can be stripped of their power/banned from the convention simply because they don’t support the annoited one? Also, I’ve never heard of only one name being listed on the ballot. Has this happened before as well?

  136. Has this ever happened before? That a democratic delegate can be stripped of their power/banned from the convention simply because they don’t support the annoited one?

The issue, sadly , isn’t that Debra made it clear that she prefered HRC to Bambi…the problem is that she broke party ranks and openly said she would vote McCain. You don’t HONESTLY think the Democratic Party leaders are going to send a delegate to Denver who has publicly declared she’s breaking party ranks, do you?

Debra should have checked her anger and frustration before she opened her mouth. NOW, she’s not in a position to FIGHT for HRC in Denver. 🙁

  137. Incidentally, I believe that Zell Miller was decertified for the same reason during Kerry’s run for POTUS, but I could be mistaken.

  138. Thanks Idunn,

I give Debra a pass on this though. The anger and frustration has never been so strong for everyone who sees the garbage and corruption going on here.

I wish that all of Hillary’s true friends/delegates would just boycott the convention…maybe even join the public in a protest outside that day…just a thought.

  139. I give Debra a pass on this though. The anger and frustration has never been so strong for everyone who sees the garbage and corruption going on here.

Absolutely! And let’s not forget that this is Debra’s first experience at being a delegate. No-one sent her any info in the begining to show her the ropes…and NO-ONE even contacted her when her remarks were made to verify that she even made them. Where was the fucking Democratic Party to support or help HER??!! Nuts.

I wish that all of Hillary’s true friends/delegates would just boycott the convention…maybe even join the public in a protest outside that day…just a thought.

It’s a thought I share. I’m SERIOUSLY thinking of rounding up a bunch of Tennessee Geurilla Women and heading to Denver myself. I’m THAT fed up with the Party right now.

  140. Idunn thanks for the site and I agree with everything except I have time concerns.

The Democrats don’t own my votes, they have to earn it! Not by words, planks but by action and a commitment to their values and principles.

I did not see any values or principles this campaign season…in fact I saw the opposite and that bothers me a lot. I don’t trust, like or have faith in Obama’s words because he has shown me NOTHING in accomplishment or Stood for anything that wasn’t for Obama period.

I don’t like “cults of personality” and I don’t like the blatant lying when it is unneccesary. I don’t think Obama is all that and that their are better representation of our community. Obama is a sexist and a dumbass but he has powerful people behind him and and it’s not AA’s.

So I have no illusions that AA’s won’t be thrown under the bus…we will, it just when or let me say strong dissenters will be thrown under first and then more.

  141. So I have no illusions that AA’s won’t be thrown under the bus…we will, it just when or let me say strong dissenters will be thrown under first and then more.

Well, first Queen Michelle and King Barry will talk down to us…that’s ALREADY been their first line of attack to “keep us in our place”. Make us feel like we’re not “evolved” or not “working for the righteous cause” if we don’t get behind the new monarchy. 🙄

Once we’ve served THAT function, and the crown has been placed upon Oliars head…THEN get ready for the bus. Guarantee it.

And us strong dissenters?? Who the hell knows? Maybe fate will smile kindly on us, and we’ll be welcomed home as conquering heroes carrying HRC aloft. Stranger things have happened. 😉
