I just wanted to add, that I think this experience can be developed at a young age, given the right exposures. I see vintage followers of O that don't even bother to look at his record, gushing, and I see young people who have done their home work.

So although I said that "that is what age and experience gives you", that does not always mean you have to be ancient to have it, and that all vintaged people have it. In this campaign, I have seen some very young people who have developed this awareness and experience, and vintaged people who have not.

I don't feel sorry for the Media. When you relenquist your impartiality, and allow your reporters to gush, have tinkly legs, and behave like the person is a sex object (plane incident), you really lose control of the democratic reporting process. Then trying to put some journalistic rules back in place become impossible.

It is a bit like parents who have children that they just worship from the day they were born, then try to put rules back in. Very tough if not impossible to do.

The person worshiped thinks they are entitled.

Watching the news conference with John McCain made me feel very comfortable. He is not scripped, he talks about his many meeting with these heads of states (vs one meeting and a political rally), and that he would be talking with them again when he was President. I don't think John McCain would ever cancel a visit to wounded Soldiers.

It is not a world of entitlements, which O feels he has. It is a world of respect and negotiations, hard negotiations. Those items are difficult if not impossible for O, where as McCain has learned those concepts a long time ago.

I appreicate the opinions of the young. I think they are always challenging us to move forward. But it is experience that makes us think about where we are going, making sure we are not reacting to some new trend, but going foward in a thoughtful manner.

turndownobama: thanks a million for those edits. I am getting careless. Yes, the dean plan is in writing. Apparently it was published by a journalism professor in 2004. I got all this information at the Rezkowatch site where I found this summary by bmerry. If you google Dean Plan Rezkowatch you will get this plus a narrative.

debbie Says:
July 25th, 2008 at 4:32 am

Hillary may or may not get her name placed in nomination at the convention, but she most certainly will not fill the stadium giving an acceptence speech at Invesco Field.

==================

Obama is making sure that only his activist supporters get into the stadium stands! See
h t t p : / / www.denverpost.com/commented/ci_9976737?source=commented-

I hope HIllary knows this and won't agree to give her speech at the stadium, where his bots would all be ready to boo her. The convention center itself would be half and half.

wbboei,

The key elements in the Dean Plan are: i) to bring in political activists in the local community,

INTO?

ii) to bring in party outsiders who are on the web, iii) to set up a universe of small donors and garner press attention, iv) to select a presidential candidate with no national name recognition, a personality for public office and an ability to handle the stress of campaigning, v) to replace large Democratic contributors with small ones,

SHOULD TEH FOLLOWING BE vi) ?

to set up 527 political action committees which can raise unlimited amounts of money, and vi) to change the media landscape and create a movement through the recruitment of young people, an accelerated primary schedule (N.B. to
produce a single strong party candidate for the Presidency an unprecedented eight (8) months before the election), to disseminate arguments and symbols that convey a sense of political change, to create a mainstream press echo chamber, to get liberal commentators on board and to create a web echo chamber. (See Rezko Watch)

INTERESTING. IS the original of this Dean Plan actually written down somewhere?

Debbie- I cannot remember who it was that said it. Maybe Sun Tzu. The power to destroy is always greater than the power to create, and to hold on, and to try to convince the world that you are a party of laws when the world knows it is not true. When superdelegates start talking about how they were threatened or bribed that is when it will get real interesting.

Much more to come on this one

VII. HOW TO HIJACK AN ELECTION

The story of how Big Business hijacked the 2008 Democratic primary begins with an obscure document known as The Dean Plan which was the blueprint for his unsuccessful presidential run in 2004. When Dean dropped out of the race, he transferred the plan and his bloggers to Obama who was campaigning to become Senator. The key elements in the Dean Plan are: i) to bring in political activists in the local community, ii) to bring in party outsiders who are on the web, iii) to set up a universe of small donors and garner press attention, iv) to select a presidential candidate with no national name recognition, a personality for public office and an ability to handle the stress of campaigning, v) to replace large Democratic contributors with small ones, to set up 527 political action committees which can raise unlimited amounts of money, and vi) to change the media landscape and create a movement through the recruitment of young people, an accelerated primary schedule (N.B. to

Hillary may or may not get her name placed in nomination at the convention, but she most certainly will not fill the stadium giving an acceptence speech at Invesco Field.

I honestly don't know what is up her sleeve but she is for the most part staying out of the news except for small bits of her BHO fundraising efforts.

I truly suspect that she will be like most of us and watch BHO and the democratic party fall flat on its face this election.

She has her baby "NY" and I think she will be fine working there and whatever other policies or issues she decides to support.

I guess I'm too much a realist to think Hillary can take this party to victory now since we are all so dang mad at the leadership and the delegates.

I'm doing nothing except pledging my vote against BHO at this point and I will stand firm on that. My vote is not for sale, and I will not fall in line even if it means my issues have to wait another 4 years to be addressed.

I really do appreciate all the updates and the posts by admin and I enjoy reading all the comments here too. I call you guys my extended family and this is usually the first place I look each day to find out whats going on.
