1950dem,
I agree.

BTW, i just had a horrible thought. What if HRC is being held hostage with regards to her campaign debt as well as future senate influence by whether or not she succeeds in delivering her supporters to obammerrhoid?
Like indentured labor?
Also, apparently the new strategy for 'winning' the GE without Florida, Ohio, Michigan, etc. is by registering ALL blacks in 5 key states. Talk about the race card. :evil:

I think flowers are a nice gesture and surely Hillary would be floored to recieve so many. But being practical, if we sent her the amount we would spend on flowers to reduce her debt and added a note that it was in lieu of flowers, it would help her even more. Remember, she has to run for reelection to the Senate in 2 years and will need to do fund raising then. Just my thoughts. Don't mean to insult anyone. Thanks

filbert,

‘I believe the stalwart Republicans want a Democratic victory this year.’

I think the Repubs want it to appear as though they’ve ceded the GE to the UN-democrats all the while having secretly installed a closet-puppet-repub in the WH.

Manchurian candidate?

The Madison Avenue Candidate?

I agree -- why bother to win elections when you can just quietly donate to the real GOP-lites in the Dem party: Pelosi, Reid, Obama....

You know Obama's a political lightweight when the media has nothing to vet him on except his work on the law review from his student days! Hahaha.... what a joke.

Obama kept Law Review balanced
By: Jeffrey Ressner and Ben Smith
June 23, 2008 10:58 AM EST

Barack Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review in 1990 gave him his first moment of national fame, a powerful intellectual credential and a sweet book deal. It was also his first electoral victory, won in part by convincing the conservative minority of law students that he would treat them fairly.

While the title and election have become well-known parts of Obama's personal story, the substance of his actual work on the Review, where he spent at least 50 hours a week, has received little attention.

Obama might have had it right back when he was running the journal, where he reportedly ended minor disputes with the words, "Just remember, folks: Nobody reads it."

Admin: according to Patton when Caesar returned from his foreign conquests to the adulation and cheers of throngs of well wishers in Rome, a man was positioned in the back of his chariot to whisper in his ear the words you cite: sic transit gloria mundi so he would realize he was still a mortal and not a god.

Nunc pro tunc. Then as now, with two differences. Here the battle was lost in the field but won in the Roman Senate. Also, there is no one in the back of the chariot to keep his feet on the ground. Interesting to see what will happen . . .

“Great if he meant all alternative energy instead of just more drilling.”

Of course he does. Electric cars have zero to do with drilling for oil. The oil thing is just a rhetorical argument anyway. He saying states should decide. Most states will decide not to. Indeed, most of the oil is in CA, and they will never agree to that. The other part of the argument is for natural gas, and it’s a good idea. Indeed every major Dem in VA supports drilling for natural gas.
====================================

Thanks, mj. This is something I need to learn more about ... when there's time. :-)

But even with every car electric, most of the current electric power plants still need oil, it's used for heating, 18 wheel trucks can't be electric.

Why is drilling for natural gas prohibited now?

I would love to participate in flowers, what is the plan?
Yellow roses are perfect.

We need to help with Hillary’s debt.

====================================

Flowers are good for those who are maxed-out on Hillary.

For those who can still donate to Hillary, see Heidi Li's Potpourri for the links.

"Another wild thought. What if he pushed for better contraception so we wouldn’t need Roe vs Wade?"

Never going to happen, but roe v. wade and social issues are not likely to be top priorities for McCain. that's why conservatives don't trust him.
