Hillary Clinton’s Great Speech

Action Item 1 – First thing for everyone to do Monday morning: Contact every superdelegate, everyone you met during the Hillary campaign, every fundraiser, every Hillraiser, every endorser, every friend, every relative, every acquaintance, every contact on your email list including Big Media outlets and Democratic and Republican elected officials, every forum and group you belong to and let them know – I will not vote for Obama nor any person who endorsed Obama before June 3, 2008 when I vote during the general elections in NOvember. Obama is NOt qualified to be president. I reject NOw and in NOvember the Obama race-baiting, gay-bashing, woman-hating campaign of division and distraction.

* * *

As we prepare for subsequent Action Items (Note: our first Action Items will deal with organizational issues such as notifications, capturing youtubes and information on Hillary’s website before it disappears and preparing state by state email lists) we want to repeat and make clear once again what our official stance for this NOvember’s general elections will be.

We will not vote nor ask anyone to vote for John McCain or any Republican because we care too much about the issues before the nation.

McCain too has insulted Hillary in the past or stood by while Hillary was insulted. To his credit McCain apologized to Hillary personally for these insults.

Obama has spread anonymous memos personally attacking Bill and Hillary Clinton and no apologies were ever extended.

More importantly, Obama’s attacks on Hillary were also attacks on her supporters. We were, and are, called “racists” and “Republicans” among other choice slanders by Obama’s campaign and supporters. Hillary is a great and gracious woman capable of forgiving those who have attacked her. We decide how we respond when we are called “racists” and “Republicans”. Our choice is not to vote for the race-baiting, gay-bashing, woman hating, not qualified to be president, Obama.

As much as we respect, admire, and yes, love many of Hillary Clinton’s qualities, we have never been a cult like the incense burners in the Hopium dens. We can disagree, even disapprove of some of Hillary Clinton’s actions yet continue to admire and respect, and yes love Hillary.

Hillary has been and is our candidate, role model, and inspiration. Hillary has never been our Messiah.

We will write in Hillary’s name in NOvember.

We also will not leave the Democratic? Party and we urge everyone to stay in the Party and fight to restore the great party of FDR to its former greatness. We will fight within the party, vote in the Democratic? Party primaries against those who helped the race-baiting, gay-bashing, woman-hating, not qualified to be president, Obama.

We do understand that our view will not be accepted by all Hillary Clinton supporters. Guess what? We will respect your choices. We will respect your decisions. We will not insult anyone who decides to leave the Party that presumes it has no need of them.

Also, the McCain campaign is setting up meetings and an internet webcast for Hillary supporters. We will not participate. Those who wish to participate we will not insult – we will respect your decision even as we disagree.

Hillary’s Great Speech:

Read Hillary’s truly excellent speech in full. We have most of the speech below:

Now, this year’s presidential election is like none other in history. And we have had more people engaging and volunteering, casting their ballots, than ever before. Everywhere I go, people tell me, “I’ve never given money to a campaign in my life; this year is different. I’ve never followed an election before; this time I can’t stop watching.” And there’s a reason for that. With our economy in crisis, and with two wars and our children’s future in the balance, more people than ever before are taking politics seriously.

I happen to welcome that because this is a democracy, and we’ve all got to participate. In fact, we want more democracy, not less democracy. We want more people taking a part in the selection of their president.

Here in Florida, more than 1.7 million people cast their vote, the highest primary turnout in the history of Florida. And nearly 600,000 voters in Michigan did the same. And not a day goes by that I don’t meet someone who grabs my hand or holds up a sign, no matter where I am, in Kentucky or anywhere else, and says, “Please, make my vote count.”

I receive dozens and dozens of letters and emails and phone calls, every couple of hours it seems like, all making the same urgent request: please count my vote. We used to be worried about voter apathy, didn’t we? We worried why Americans didn’t participate. Now, people are worried that their participation won’t matter.

I believe the Democratic Party must count these votes. They should count them exactly as they were cast. Democracy demands no less.

I am here today because I believe that the decision our party faces is not just about the fate of these votes and the outcome of these primaries. It is about whether we will uphold our most fundamental values as Democrats and Americans. It is about whether we will move forward, united, to win this state and take back the White House this November. That has to be the prize that we keep in mind.

Because here in America, unlike in many other nations, we are bound together, not by a single shared religion or cultural heritage, but by a shared set of ideas and ideals, a shared civic faith, that we are entitled to speak and worship freely, that we deserve equal justice under the law, that we have certain core rights that no government can abridge and these rights are rooted in and sustained by the principle that our founders set forth in the Declaration of Independence. That a just government derives its power from the consent of the governed, that each of us should have an equal voice in determining the destiny of our nation. A generation of patriots risked and sacrificed lives on the battlefield for that ideal. [snip]

It took more than 70 years of struggle, setbacks, and grinding hard work and only one of those original suffragists lived to see women cast their ballots. There are women here today – as with my own mother – who were born before the Constitution granted us the right to vote. This is not something lost in the mists of memory and history; this is real. The generations here in this room have seen change. The men and women who knew their Constitutional right to vote meant little when poll taxes and literacy tests, violence, and intimidation made it impossible to exercise their right, so they marched and protested, faced dogs and tear gas, knelt down on that bridge in Selma to pray and were beaten within an inch of their lives.

Some gave their lives to the struggle for a more perfect union. There is a reason why so many have fought so hard and sacrificed so much. It is because they knew that to be a citizen of this country is to have the right and responsibility to help shape its future, not just to make your voice heard, but to have it count. People have fought hard because they knew their vote was at stake and so was their children’s future. Because of those who have come before, Senator Obama and I and so many of you have this precious right today. Because of all that has been done, we are in this historic presidential election. I believe that both Senator Obama and myself have an obligation as potential Democratic nominees – in fact, we all have an obligation as Democrats – to carry on this legacy and ensure that in our nominating process every voice is heard and every single vote is counted.

This work to extend the franchise to all of our citizens is a core mission of the modern Democratic Party, from signing the voting rights act and fighting racial discrimination at the ballot box, to lowering the voting age so those old enough to fight and die in war would have the right to choose their Commander-in-Chief, to fighting for multi-lingual ballots so you can make your voice heard no matter what language you speak. I am proud of our work today. We are fighting the redistricting initiatives that would dilute African American and Latino votes. We are fighting efforts to purge voters from the rolls here in Florida and elsewhere. We are fighting voter identification laws that could wrongly keep tens of thousands of voters from casting their ballots this November.

We carry on this cause for a simple reason, because we believe the outcome of our elections should be determined by the will of the people – nothing more, nothing less.

We believe the popular vote is the truest expression of your will. We believe it today, just as we believed it back in 2000 when right here in Florida, you learned the hard way what happens when your votes aren’t counted and the candidate with fewer votes is declared the winner. The lesson of 2000 here in Florida is crystal clear. If any votes aren’t counted, the will of the people is not realized and our democracy is diminished. That is what I have always believed.

My first job in politics was on the 1972 presidential campaign registering African-American and Hispanic voters in Texas. That work took me from home to home in neighborhood after neighborhood. I was determined to knock on every door and sign up every voter I could find. While we may not have won that election, I have never given up the fight. It is a fight I continue to this day.

Because I think it is appalling that in the 21st century, voters are still being wrongly turned away from the polls, ballots are still mysteriously lost in state after state, African-American and Hispanic voters still wait in line for hours while voters in the same state, even in the same county can wait just minutes to cast their votes. That’s why I’ve been working since 2004 with my dear friend Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones to pass the Count Every Vote Act; comprehensive voting rights legislation designed to end these deplorable violations. It will ensure that every eligible voter can vote, every vote is counted, and every vote can verify his or her vote before it is finally cast.

I will continue to fight for that same principle every day in this campaign. The fact is, the people of Florida voted back in January. You did your part. You showed up in record numbers and you made informed choices. But today, some months later, you still do not know if these votes will help determine our party’s nominee. You still don’t know if this great state will be represented at our convention in August. It is time you knew, because the more than 2.3 million people who voted in Florida and Michigan exercised their fundamental American right in good faith. You watched the news. You went to the candidates’ web sites, you talked to your friends and neighbors, you learned about our records and policies so you could make informed voting decisions. You didn’t break a single rule, and you should not be punished for matters beyond your control.

Now, I know that Senator Obama chose to remove his name from the ballot in Michigan, and that was his right. But his choice does not negate the votes of all those who turned out to cast their ballots, and we should not let our process rob them and all of you of your voices. To do so would undermine the very purpose of the nominating process. To ensure that as many Democrats as possible can cast their votes. To ensure that the party selects a nominee who truly represents the will of the voters and to ensure that the Democrats take back the White House to rebuild America.

Now, I’ve heard some say that counting Florida and Michigan would be changing the rules. I say that not counting Florida and Michigan is changing a central governing rule of this country – that whenever we can understand the clear intent of the voters, their votes should be counted. I remember very well back in 2000, there were those who argued that people’s votes should be discounted over technicalities. For the people of Florida who voted in this primary, the notion of discounting their votes sounds way too much of the same.

The votes of 1.7 million people should not be cast aside because of a technicality. The people who voted did nothing wrong, and it would be wrong to punish you. As the Florida Supreme Court said back in 2000, before the United States Supreme Court took the case away from them, as your Supreme Court said, it’s not about the technicalities or about the contestants. It’s about the will of the people. And whenever you can understand their intent, it should govern. It’s very clear what 1.7 million people intended here in Florida. Playing a role in the nominating process in a two-party system is just as important as having a vote in the presidential election on Election Day count.

We know it was wrong to penalize voters for the decisions of state officials back in the 2000 presidential election. It would be wrong to do so for decisions made in our nominating process. Democrats argued passionately. We are still arguing, aren’t we, for counting all the votes back in 2000, and we should be just as passionately arguing for that principle today, here in Florida and in Michigan. It is well within the Democratic Party rules to take this stand. The rules clearly state that we can count all of these votes and seat all of these delegates, pledged and unpledged, if we so choose. And the rules lay out a clear process for doing so.[snip]

I remember when President Lyndon Johnson addressed the Congress and the nation urging the passage of the Voting Rights Act. He declared, “I speak tonight for the dignity of man and the destiny of democracy.” It was urgent, elevated language, but it was not hyperbole. Now, as back then, those are the stakes. That’s why here in Florida, even when you were told your primary might not count, you voted anyway.

A Floridian I know from Tallahassee told me about his mother’s canasta club. It’s a group of women in their golden years who gather every week to play cards and visit. They talked about that Florida primary every week as they gathered around the card table. They followed the news closely. They discussed the candidates and their positions on the issues. They knew about the dispute over the primary schedule and the question of seating delegates. And when it came time to vote, like so many other good citizens of this state, the ladies of the canasta club dutifully cast their ballots for the candidates of their choice. They made informed choices. They did nothing wrong, and they should not be punished for doing their civic duty.

You knew then what Americans know, that this political process of ours is about more than the candidates running, the pundits commenting or the ads blaring. It’s about the path we choose as a nation. If anyone ever doubted whether it mattered who our president was, the last seven years with George Bush should have removed every single doubt from anyone’s mind.

That’s why you voted, and that’s why I’m running. And that’s why you’ve been organizing and raising your voices, hoping to have your votes count. You refused to stay home then, and you refuse to stay silent now. Because you want to change America’s future and you have faith that your party, the Democratic Party, will give you that chance. I’m here today because I believe we should keep that faith, listen to your voices and count every single one of your votes. If we fail to do so, I worry that we will pay not only a moral cost, but a political cost as well.

We know the road to a Democratic White House runs right through Florida and Michigan. And if we care about winning those states in November, we need to count your votes now. If Democrats send the message that we don’t fully value your votes, we know Senator McCain and the Republicans will be more than happy to have them. The Republicans will make a simple and compelling argument. Why should Florida and Michigan voters trust the Democratic Party to look out for you when they won’t even listen to you?

Now, if you agree with me, I urge you to go to my website, HillaryClinton.com, and join the more than 300,000 who have already signed our petition asking the Democratic National Committee to count your votes. All 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the territories will have a chance to play a role in this historic process. Now is not the time for our party to have a dialogue about which states and which votes should count. The people of Florida are all too familiar with where that discussion can lead. In the end, we cannot move forward as a united party if some members of our party are left out. Senator Obama and I are running to be president of all Americans and all 50 states. And I want to be sure that all 50 states are counted and your delegates are seated at our convention.

So will you join me in making sure your voices are raised and heard so that your votes can be counted? Because remember, it’s been the mission of the Democratic Party, guided always by the understanding that as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said, “the ultimate rulers of our democracy are not the president, the senators, the members of Congress and government officials, but the voters of this country.” In this Democratic Party, the voters rule. So let’s make sure your voices are heard and your votes are counted.

Thank you, and God bless you, and God bless America.

great speech but i dont agree with you,
i will not vote for obama
i will not campaign for obama
i will not donate to obama

oh and admin, did i get this right, you want us to write in hillarys
name in novemeber, and waste a vote?
doing that would be a nothing. well it would make a point and
    thats all.

if we did that, john mccain would not have enough votes to win
    barack obama?
you havent drank the koolaid admin, have you?

i tell you right now, luv u though i do, i will not comply….

what do you have to say to that?

  2. skmf12, if you would read what we write before you post you would not write such foolish things.

  3. I got very sad watching this speech. She is such a great leader and woman. I was never so involved in US-politics as since Hillary announced her candidacy.
I continue to hope that until the convention some SD’s see the light and vote for her to make her the real candidate.
Thanks to this webpage which was always a save haven from the biased media. I do not watch CNN any more after I learned this period for what they really stand.
Thanks to all of you and Hillary will be 44 or 45 😉

  4. Hillary is a democrat and will always be a g8t democrat and said what she had to say with that said I will never support Obama.

    please go over to blog.pumapac.org
1,000 Reasons Puma Democrats Are Protesting the 2008 Presidential Election

Send your letter to Dean and the DNC
Need to write reasons why you will be protesting the election in November.
Be specific. Use your best reason

They will be sending these letter to Dean and the DNC 1,000 or 10,000

  5. i did admin,

you say dont leave the party
    you say dont vote mccain
you say you will not tell us what to do…

i did read the article, and here are the two statements that worry
    me;

  6. I never worked for a candidate like I did for Hillary. I did it because I BELIEVE IN HER. She earned my vote, as I watched her through the debates and through the campaign she just grew and grew.

    She was robbed.

I plan to do the action items at the top of this list and I will follow through with every one you list.

I do not know how I am going to handle the next few months .. seeing that empty suit taking her rightful place through the general campaign is not something I can bear to watch.

Is anyone besides me feeling this heartbroken …

  7. ADMIN,

I did read your article and I appreciate your inclusive, non-judgmental, DEMOCRATIC attitude as well as your obvious heartfelt respect for us to post our opinions and perspectives whether or not they conform to yours.

That’s what i Love about this site.

Personally, I will stay in the Dem party until after the GE if for no other reason than to cast a vote for a repub while registered as dem.

You have done an OUTSTANDING job with this forum and I hope you will keep us updated and notifed of all new developments.

    THANKS, ADMIN.

  8. Thank you, admin, for treating us like grownups.

This site has been such a help and support all these months — I hope it will go on supporting Hillary and her courage and good work for all of us.

I know one thing I am going to do is continue to avoid all the media. One look at USA Today’s front page yesterday was enough for me. A pic of McCain and a pic of Obama. I thought: Where’s Hillary? They robbed us of the best!

  9. a write in for Hillary will only help Obama though .. I cannot do that .

I guess me and this blog will part ways now.

To say write in .. they would go to Obama.

  10. skmf12, you did not read and understand what we wrote. If you had read what we wrote with any understanding you would have discussed the great speech we posted not the one you referred to.

You also accused us of having drunk the kool-aid. Your comment was and is offensive.

We wrote we will respect your decisions and you reply with an insult to our decision. Your comments are offensive.

  11. dot, admin is not telling us to write in Hillary. Admin will write in Hillary, and is clearly saying we should do what we think is right.

  12. DOT,

I WILL NOT WRITE A NAME IN EITHER, but i will not leave
this blog, admin has promised to let us make up our own minds on
this subject, well there you go then, two against the write in.

as for the rest, already talking to my local people on how they plan
to deal with the whole pelosi matter. many say they will support
democrats no matter, some already looking into alternatives.
anyway its still something that needs to be done, cleaning out
the traitors from the democratic party…

oh admin, not trying to hurt you on this,
i ofcourse agree on all other points.
    on my stance

  13. ADMIN:

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR LEAD IN PARAGRAPHS. I THINK YOU MEANT JUNE 3, 2008 INSTEAD OF 2007?

  14. okay…I just can’t write in Hillary knowing it will give a vote to HIM.

I am just afraid Hillary’s fight will just be a distant memory for many come November .. especially if she campaigns her heart out for him. It is about HIM for me .. he just makes me feel queasy. I hope Hillary die hards who have went through every second of this campaign with her will not forget how he stood by and let the media and the DNC literally gang rape her.

That is what I will never forget. I’m a big girl and I can take a loss but it’s the way this whole primary went from Iowa on. MSNBC and CNN were the leading cheerleaders and I will remember them as well. Fox is asses but I’d rather ride with them than give KO and Tweetybird or Campbell Brown the ratings.

Wanna bet how long before his ego gets the best of him again .. he’ll make a huge gaffe before the weeks out.

  15. whoa whoa whoa admin,

NO NO NO I AM SORRY, THE KOOLAID COMMENT, WAS A
    RHETORICAL COMMENT…

it was like saying, are you smoking crack?

really admin, not an accusation at all, i am actually surprised
that you were hurt by that. again sorry. i did read the speech
and it is a beautiful speech, but what would you have me say?

we are still where we are, and hllarys speech though lovely gets
us nowhere at this point, because hillary is effectivly ellimintated.
now if you have a problem with me after all is said and done, than
you are more than welcome to dump my ass, and i will take
    not leave gracefully…

  16. this was a comment in reference to howard wolfson’s cnn interview today.

    June 8th, 2008 3:00 pm ET

She lost because her party failed her just to advantage the other candidate and because the media dared not trash Obama, but Clinton was fair game.

    You all swiftboated her.

The new democrats have brought in an element of hatred and vile and vulgar personal attacks against fellow democrats.

Obama rode that agitated wave of hatred while proclaiming unity.

Sorry… propaganda and hypocrisy is lost on us life long voters. We see right through it. We marched and protested and got beaten in the 1960s- just to work against that kind of thing.

Now the hate returns and is fed to us as change, hope and unity?

    Sorry sorry DEMS.

Hillary… I adore you and will always vote for you anywhere and anytime. You are the true dignified champion leader of the people.

  17. curiosityhasme, we made the change. 2008, not 07. Thanks for the proofreading.

dot48, how is a write-in vote for Hillary a vote for Obama? The argument which has been made by some in the comments yesterday that a vote for Hillary in NOvember is a vote against Obama but a vote for McCain is equivalent to 2 votes against Obama has some truth to it. A lot of Democrats however will not vote FOR Republican McCain – that is a bridge to far.

We disagree with you that Hillary will be a distant memory by NOvember. The anger will not abate on election day in NOvember.

We agree that gaffes Obama will strike again and again.

  18. Hi yall, First of all, ADMIN, thank you for your action plan and for reproducing what I think was an incredible, inspirational speech by Hillary. I’ve read a lot and heard a lot of her speeches. I listen to other candidates for other offices. This is by and large one of the very best speeches I have ever heard. It was full of inspiration and wisdom. Second, yall, Hillary is the one with the expertise in politics. She did what she felt were in the country and/or party’s interest at this point in time. She above all, realizes this is “not about her.”

Second, what will I do? Well, I am going to make a list based on the things that admin suggests. This is far from over yall. We have a couple months here before the convention and that’s a large amount of time in politics. A lot of things can still happen to change the landscape. Do not loose your faith in admin or Senator Clinton or each other. Respect was a key word in Hillary’s speech yesterday. She says she wants respect for us, and we need to show respect for each other. This is a really difficult time, and we will get through it.

Yes, Dot, there are so many people who are heartbroken today about this. I burst into tears when Hillary walked onto the stage yesterday. I cried throughout the speech. I listened to it again and cried again. We’ll be okay. We have to keep fighting and a good beginning is with the action plan admin outlines above.

We are a long ways off from November. Hillary, I hope, is resting and taking stock of things, thinking about things. But mostly I hope she is resting right now. God knows, she deserves. Hey Hill, your still my gal, and we here love you.

I also like the idea of sending thank you cards that’s been mentioned before.

  19. Hawk (I’m pretty sure it’s hawk) has a great post over at No Quarter:

    noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/06/08/my-final-rant/

  20. Like I said in the last thread, I’m actually glad I don;t have to make a choice in November, as Puerto Rico does not vote for President.

  21. I want BO to LOSE and I want Coward Dean to feel the pain.

therefore, if it comes down to it, I will pull the repub lever

No willie nillie statements or symbolism from me

  22. I feel this is a watershed moment in so many ways. Not only because of Hillary, but because of the blogging community. Since I have never previously been involved in Presidential politics, can people tell me whether there was so much movement on the internet as this time?

  23. A write in Hillary in GE is a vote to BHO. to make sure BHO pay a price, we have to vote McCain and those SDs who endorsed him before June 3.

  24. I truly appreciate the situation we ALL find ourselves in.

And, it also depends heavily on the state in which you reside. Here in Texas, you can cross party lines. That can be good. It can also be bad, because if you vote for McCain, then you can’t vote down ticket for Democrats if they are you choice. Depends on local and state leaders that you may or may not support.

We all have loyal Democrats and we all have more than our share of turncoats in each and every state, some more than others.

Again, as many unique situations and scenarios as there are voters. How many millions?!?

I do see Admin’s point of view. To cut off your nose to spite your face (in supporting Republican agenda, albeit left-leaning McCain’s) could not only delay but make our country take yet another disastrous detour down a road of No Return

    versus

Supporting a candidate that has engaged in the worst kind of dirty politics imaginable, not to mention has been aided and abetted by the corrupt and communist-leaning “New” Democratic Party. As Admin stated in last post – The Party’s Over. Boy, is it ever. The Party that I belonged to is no longer.

    So….what to do…what to do…

Again, we all come from individual situations that are multi-dimensional. Personally, I plan to listen to all sides of options (EXCEPT WILL NOT CAST VOTE FOR BHO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE), and keep an open mind as the beset route to take for optimal results that will ultimately help HRC become president. That goal will dictate the course to take.

The saying, “When you don’t know what to do, sometimes the best thing to do is nothing,” may make sense up to a point. In applying that logic, instead of making rash decisions, having too much pride in the possible need to change our minds…lets all think EVERYTHING through rationally, methodically (like our role model HRC does) and not “shoot from the hip.”

Let’s not let the absolute horror of this disenfranchisement accomplish what THEY hope. We WILL make the BEST choices for our ultimate goal – the swearing in of HRC to the Presidency of the United States.

  25. Has anyone seen the latest on Rezko Watch, there is a whole section on Jew hating from the Obama’s campaign site! Go look before they clean it! Its sundays edition!

  26. mfoster.com/misc/write-in_rules_2008.html

    No Write Ins

Here Are the Rules per State

    They will go to Obama

  27. writing in hillary’s name may show allegiance, but would take away from McCain thus handing the presidency to BO. it’s all individual states. it’s all electoral votes. i live in a battle ground state. i do not want to do anything that may “help” BO.
this past week i have been contacting associates at work. many of them are republicans unhappy with their choice, also. i have been and will continue to tell them that we must “join forces” against electing BO.
as much as i want to vote for hillary, i do not want to do anything in NOvember to help BO. does that make sense?

  28. Thanks MollyJRichards.

We do have a long list of action items which we will publish as appropriate. They are all important to do. The first action items will be organizational. Our list is long term and well thought out. We do not suggest writing long letters of explanation or whining to the DNC or Democrats. In our Action Item 1 we simply suggest a very short message to be conveyed to everyone: I will not vote for Obama or his supporters in NOvember.

Subsequent Action Items will also be organizational and some might consider them boring but they are essential. Once the organizational items are accomplished we move forward to influencing voters directly. We will also continue to publish our Voting for Obama series which is needed as an intellectual rationale for NOt voting for Obama.

We need to respond organizationally, not emotionally. There are a lot of Hillary supporters who are long term Democrats who need to be spoken with about why Obama is not qualified.

  29. In my humble opinion, it’s too early to start deciding for sure about November. We have to do today what we can do today. Put pressure on DNC and the superdelegates. I been a democrat my whole life. I ain’t never given to a campaign the way I gave to Hillary’s campaign. I do not intend to give the DC one penny. For one thing, i just don’t have it to give. I sacrificed a lot for Hillary as did many here I am sure. But I am hanging in there and doing other stuff and not thinkin’ about Nov. yet.

  30. I got it ADMIN. I am glad to be able to write a short letter. One sentence or two is a great relief from the long letters I have been writin’.

  31. Admin: Thank you for the article. One of the main issues at stake, is the right for every vote to count. It is a basic tenet of our democracy. This sham of a primary season, has placed this right for every vote to count at serious risk, and has exposed the corruption present in our government. This is a troubling time for our country, and when I read comments at NoQuarter, Anglachel, and The Confluence, my fears and concerns are confirmed. We are not a bunch of nutcases to be so concerned about the illegimate candidate.

The last paragraph of your article and Senator Clinton’s speech is very important:

“So will you join me in making sure your voices are raised and heard so that your votes can be counted? Because remember, it’s been the mission of the Democratic Party, guided always by the understanding that as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said, “the ultimate rulers of our democracy are not the president, the senators, the members of Congress and government officials, but the voters of this country.” In this Democratic Party, the voters rule. So let’s make sure your voices are heard and your votes are counted.”

This is what, we are fighting for. It is bigger than Hillary.

  32. amen birdgal. That is spot on. What has happened flies in the face of everything I ever believed about voting in this country. I never thought that I would see this in our country, even after the election which Bush stole in 2000.

  33. Dear Hillary,

Please let me make a very important point. I proudly voted for you to be President of the United States, and I would do it again against any possible opponent because I strongly believe in you. However, I also simultaneously voted against Barack Obama, and will gladly do so again because I do not believe in him. Not only is he not qualifed to be President, but I flatly do not trust that man. There is something terribly wrong with him, and it shows through in so many ways. So many of those ways have been posted here. Please don’t ask me to vote for him because I cannot and will not comply.

  34. Dot48, your statement “everybody says that “write in” on the ballet will be counted towards Obama” is what we don’t understand. The rules from state to state vary on what happens to write in votes. In many states they are discarded. But any Democratic vote that Obama does NOt get is a vote against Obama. So we still do not understand your argument. We are not being difficult here – but we really do not understand what you are saying.

Big Pink is almost 100% read and commented on by Democrats. We have had millions of readers and have thousands of registered users. A lot of our readers are Democratic organizers. In short, Big Pink readers are the very ones who usually vote straight line Democratic. Every one of us who does not vote for Obama is a vote which distances Obama from the White House.

Most of our readers, like us, reject Obama but cannot embrace McCain and Republican policies. Some will. In fact, if we had to bet, many will. A vote for McCain hurts Obama. Any Democrat who voted for Kerry in 2004 but in 2008 will either not vote or write in Hillary or simply skip the presidential race – hurts Obama.

But your statement dot48, that a write in vote for Hillary goes to Obama is factually incorrect.

  35. Sherm: What is wrong with him: Wright, Rezko, Auchi, Ayers, Dohrn, Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy, Michelle, Farrakkan, endorsements from Hamas, the NBPP, and the list just goes on. Why aren’t people concerned about this????

  36. eleanor roosevelt must be doing somersaults in her grave over what has become of the democratic party.

  37. birdgal: it’s got to be competition for money or access to other resources or opportunities and I am thinking on a global scale. Note: I am not by nature a conspiracy theorist but there is something very wrong about all of this and with the sequence of events throughout this campaign.

  38. Or, it could be, more simply, the effective use of the race card, coupled with this sexist bullshit that we’ve been showered with since Hillary entered the race.

  39. maybe we should have a chart on this site, that tells state by
state if a write in vote counts in that particular state.

as was stated to me a few weeks ago on another blog, very few
states accept right in, and there are very particular rules on
    who can use write in.

but the guy said to me, you have to think of it this way, if your
state does not count in a write in for lets say hillary clinton, than
that vote is essentially a protest vote only.

which leaves obama with not just his voters that supported him,
but at least half if not more, of hillary voters who will just get
sucked in and vote for obama, thinking its better to vote dem.

now if you stack obama with his all his new voters and hillarys,
mccain will not win the general which makes obama president.

so that is the way i learned it, i am perfectly willing to re learn it
if you can re explain it to me anyone.
i would ofcourse rather have hillary become president because we
all write her name in, if it is that easy i would do it…

  40. according to this site: mfoster.com/misc/write-in_rules_2008.html

Write ins would go to the winner.

I’m wrong please let me know.

I would write Hillary Clinton in in a heartbeat if I know for sure that it won’t be counted as Bambi ..

Perhaps this is the first thing we should clear up FOR EACH STATE.

    As part of mission one.

I’m in a red state but I want my vote to register AGAINST the whole democratic party .. I’m just that disgusted with them.

  41. Rules on write-ins vary from state to state. In some situations, if Obama is on the ticket and Hillary is not, the write-in vote will be given to the Democrat on the ticket: ie Obama.

Imo the distinction between writing-in, staying home, and voting McCain is something for each of us to research in our own state in October. Not just the rules, but whether the state is a swing state, particular local issues that the new POTUS might affect, etc.

However, for those who have already decided for McCain, I think it’s important for them to be able to express themselves and organize themselves to get their message to the DNC before the convention. That’s the message most likely to influence the DNC. ( 100 people saying “I’ll vote McCain” equals 200 saying “I’ll write in or stay home.” )

And I think this requires a certain amount of discussion on aspects such as Supreme Court appointments — but not enough to get bogged down in.

I just hope that posters wil feel free to express and discuss without having to worry about having to stay within certain fine-drawn boundaries; I’m sure that you didn’t intend to set us walking on egg-shells, but a lot of us have been pushed out of too many other sites lately, so we’re a little edgy.

For discussion that goes too far afield, I’ll offer my little Message Board at http://www.turndownobama.com It can be read in tree view so it’s easier to keep on topic.

  42. I’m totally AGAINST Obama and I want to do everything in my power to keep him out of the White House.

I have always been a strong democrat but I will not honor those democrats down ticket who stabbed Hillary and who participated in the stolen election

  43. For the 3rd time I will attempt to address the selling out of Hillary by Charlie Rangel, in addition to what made me address the subject again, after having done so yesterday, which was a poster (in the previous thread, whose name escapes me at the moment) saying Hill as VP, “No Way.”
It was the second time I’d noticed someone I’d never seen here before seemingly contradicting what was in Hill’s interest from out of nowhere, which I took as possibly being a ‘leading’ post, perhaps from an infiltrator seeking to sell us on, 1. unity, 2. not voting for McCain, and 3. Not think Hill was deserving of VP.
Whatever. People can & should think & post what they want. But the reason it bugged the piss out of me was because a day earlier I had lit into Charlie Rangel for abandoning the Clintons and another ‘new’ poster came back and told me how I was wrong, how Hill respected Rangel, and, citing a Politico article of the conference call said the pressure on SD’s from New York was too much because they, “might face a primary challenge themselves from a Pro-Obama candidate in their district”.
To which I replied, “Big Fucking Deal!!!”

When I posted several telltale signs Rangel had rather obviously stabbed Hill in the back, the poster ignored them.

So yet again (and let’s hope it appears in the thread this time!), was it that Rangel with all his experience couldn’t see this was the most fix race, with the most slanted media coverage in history?

Was he concerned enough about the historically complex problems facing the country NOT to grant his support to a complete fuckin novice? No.

What on earth could his motivation have been? One might surmise it is his seat as Chairman of the House Ways & Means committee.
Had he continued to support Hill and BO won anyway, he’d be out.
At 78 years old, he thinks he’s going to live forever and why do what was CLEARLY the right thing when you can look out for No. 1?

But the idea that NY congressman MIGHT face a challenge from Pro-Obama candidates as a reason for fucking Hillary over is laughable, as, after all, she won New York.
And Rangel has skated almost scott-free on this devious bullshit.

Lastly, the poster then had the temerity to tell me how much Hillary respected Rangel, to which I pointed out that I’d bet anything she respects him a whole lot less now.

This was more lucid the first 2 times I wrote it.

Let’s see if it makes it’s way into the thread this time.

  44. Oh, and not to edit myself, I’d pointed out on the subject a day earlier that the fact that these turncoats were all minorities as was BO also likely played a part in their decision, IMO.

    God Fuck It All.

  45. I have been a Democrat for many many years. BUT, I will not vote for Obama. I feel this young man stepped out of line and rudely stole Hillary’s place in history and when he did, he stole the dreams of many women who have been overlooked and underpaid for too long. He had plenty of time to get ready and run for President in eight years, but he used every trick in the book to beat her and I don’t think he won the right to represent the Democratic Party. Florida shouldn’t have been punished for a voting decision made by the Republican party. Obama took his name off the ticket in Michigan. I also feel the caucus votes were very unfair. I will not vote this year. I will not support a party that let me down in so many ways. I feel that Obama not only ruined the chance for a woman to be president, he also ruin a chance for an African American to be president, which if he had waited, would have happend. NOW WE HAVE NOTHING.
He can not win with all us women feeling he stole our thunder. If only he had waited for his turn, things could have worked out for all. SO SAD.

  46. BTW, repubs are going to after BO hard on reducing sentencing for minorities, which he was for in Illinois.

It gets them into William Horton territory and let’s them work all their racial bullshit.

And it’d be ironic if a guy who stole the nomination based largely on race lost the GE due to it. But of course here’s hoping he gets knocked out of the box long before November.

  47. 1950Democrat, Dot48, we are probably in agreement that we do in fact need to research and post that research rather than rely on rumor or idle speculation. Clearly there is misinformation being posted on simple fact based issues like write in votes. Let’s get the facts.

These 2 sites have information on write in votes.

    http://writehillaryin.com/Write_In_Facts_by_State.php
    http://mfoster.com/misc/write-in_rules_2008.html

Ballot Access News is the expert on this type of question: http://www.ballot-access.org/

1950Democrat, you wrote: “In some situations, if Obama is on the ticket and Hillary is not, the write-in vote will be given to the Democrat on the ticket: ie Obama”

Do you have an example of a state that does this 1950Democrat?

  48. we are all pissed, now if we could just use it all in one place.

my priority is to STOP OBAMA, at any cost, that would be the
first BIG message to the dnc, to dean, pelosi, reid, brazille,
mathews, russert, oberman and to rangel and all the AA voters
    that abandoned hillary.

that is the biggest power move we could make…
if we could do that, its possible to stop everyone else from
    getting their precious seats back.

and the dnc, would have to listen up, if we can grab back the
election from the latte drinkers, we win, and especially hillary wins.
their power to treat all of hillarys people like shit, is *snap*,
    gone…

i dont hate the repugs right now like i do the dems, they may
be alot of things, but they are not irresponsible children, i know
many many of them came to hate bush themselves, and i
totally believe they are all trying to go more centrist after the
last fiasco. but all that aside, when they hurt our democrat
candidates, its what they are suppose to do, its politics,
what our democrats did to us, was dawn of the dead,
and we need to get rid of em…

  49. This all just seems like some kind of horror show. We know the horror and we hope to awake .. I can not even start to imagine how Hillary feels. The voters have her back but her own peers stabbed her in the back .. she showed extreme courage and grace under fire.

What a leader. What a woman. I will always support her. I still feel she is charted to be POTUS

  50. Admin> I have written and sent 5 sets of letters to all the superdelegates on behalf of Hillary. Yesterday 300 of them moved over to Obama. I see what you are saying and would like to believe it but right now I am thinking about Einsteins definition of insanity–doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

Over the course of history new forms of warfare emerged which rendered old systems obsolete. Napoleonic Warfare is a prime example. The Obama form of political warfare is similar. It combines the tactics of the old Daley machine-coercion and buy-offs with all the techological capabilities of the information age and an msm propaganda ministry and a base of politicized lemmings, and vast sums of offshore money and a leader who deals in empty promises. If you read Hannah Arendt and others it becomes obvious that what is emerging here is a totaliarian model. And if there was any doubt about this it was erased by the events of the past week at the RBC and the collapse of SDs.

Lest we forget, our nation is sailing into the Perfect Storm and the democratic party has responded to that challenge by bypassing a great naval officer and summoning forth from steerage a midshipman to command the ship of state. Gathered around him is a cabal of political opportunists who have no loyalty to anyone but themselves. Well, that ship is now back in port and you want us to sign on for another voyage with that crew and that captain?

If Hillary were the captain we would sign on without question. Yes mam. Aye aye. If she were the executive officer with real power then I suspect some of us would and some would not. But when the dnc and others marginalize Hillary as they are doing now there is no incentive to set foot on that gang plank. There are other ships in the harbor. The Republicans have a saying that sometimes we must lose an election in order to get back to what the people want. The same principle applies to us.

I see no reason why this should be a problem. The superdelegates were given a clear choice between winning the election vs bringing in all this untraceable obamamoney and young voters. They consciously chose the latter. Brazille has said they dont need us to win, Dean has thrown a hissy fit about the grass roots and Pelosi looks down her nose at what she once described as the little people. So why do these highfaleuten greeks want us now? More important why should we want any part of them and their false promises.

As noted above we are witnessing a new form of political warfare and it is not clear to me that the Republicans fully understand what they are up against any more than mark penn did at the outset of the primary. But they will. If they try to win through the media and message strategy of the past they may well lose. They need an on the ground strategy in all 50 states, and they must understand that the adversary is a dirty player. I am preparing a memo on this new form of warfare, what the defining tactics are and how they can be countered. When and if I share it with the republicans it will be at a senior level.

Knowing all this, and knowing that at this point I am unwilling to be seduced by policy promises can you give me any compelling reason to think differently and do otherwise. If there was an affirmative way to help Hillary here I would like to know it. But most people do understand that her supporters are not robots and are not sanguine about what has occured the pas few weeks.

There is no pocket of strength within the party to resist this takeover. Everyone has folded. Hillary was taken to task because she expanded democracy and insisted that all of us have an opportunity to vote. In their book that was a sin because they had already selected a candidate. That being the case I wondered fatuouosly whether the DNC had not engaged in fraud by failing to disclose this fact and allow the public to invest $200 million in campaigns on the naive assmption that they could actually win.

  51. so write hillary in .com is very interesting, it still needs to
confirm some states, one thing that immediately jumps out at
me is, hillary needs to write in and agree to accept her write in
    votes, would she do this?????????

and if she would should we start a campaign for this immediately,
and can she even come within the margins to take obama?

also i note some big states such as ohio, are not on board
    with the write in…
    ******

now as for m fosters site, it mentioned some important issues that
are different for each state, but it does not give alot of detail state
    by state.

Rule 1 – Write-in votes will not be counted if the candidate does not file as a write-in candidate.

Rule 2 – Write-in candidates are not allowed in presidential elections.

Rule 3 – A candidate losing the primary cannot file as a write-in candidate in the general election.

    SO THERE WE ARE.

  52. So I guess with her suspending her campaign the SD’s are still not satisfied. The only real control she has is the pledged delegates? But haven’t I heard of them changing as well…how can they change when they are “won”. I just don’t get this delegate math.

  53. One more sign the apocalypse is upon us
    (and that these weasly worms never stop. I won’t even post this whole article from Politico; just another disgrace);

Will Clinton take the blame if Obama falls?
    By: Ben Adler
    June 8, 2008 07:13 PM EST

In classic Washington finger-pointing style, the Democratic primary is only barely over but the recriminations are already being teed up.

The main thrust of them is this: Will supporters of Sen. Barack Obama blame Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton if Obama loses in November?

While the point might eventually prove moot, her decision to remain in the race well past the point in which Obama appeared to have an insurmountable delegate lead has nevertheless generated discussion about what responsibility, if any, she might bear in the event of an Obama loss.

“If the Democrats don’t win the White House back this fall there will be a hard core contingent of young Obama supporters who will be extremely disappointed,” said Alexandra Acker, executive director of the Young Democrats of America. “They will be looking for someone to blame and some may look to the long primary.”

  54. The only thing that worries me is people seeing Hillary campaign for him and accept that she really wants him as our CIC. He is not CIC material and I really don’t feel that Hillary feels he is either, she kust has to follow along right now in order to hopefully regain control at another point in time.

  55. They’re still hard at it, these weasels.
Won’t even post the whole Politico article; just enough so you know they’re still working the angles. Despicable.

  56. Admin, You are very thoughtful and you understand how a true Democrat thinks. I would not vote for Obama for obvious reasons you already talked about. I can not vote for McCain because he does notrepresent any of Hillary’s positions. I have decided to punish Democratic party by not voting and punish mcCain because he does not represent any of Hillary’s positions.

  57. Alcina –

Eleanor Roosevelt (turning over in her grave) is joined by my grandfather, born in 1893. Fought on the Hindenburg Line WWI, returned on the USS George Washington (Woodrow Wilson). He often recalled proudly, yet tearfully about how the soldiers began singing patriotic songs such as America the Beautiful when the clouds broke upon seeing the Statue of Liberty.

A survivor of the Great Depression he would tell you without blinking that FDR saved this country (and the world) with the New Deal. He was what’s commonly referred to as a “Democrat’s Democrat.” Straight ticket. Every time. Many hours we grandchildren listened attentively about real history at the turn of the 20th century, from the pioneer days to beyond WWII, then through the 1990’s. He lived 102 years and was the oldest surviving WWI veteran from our area, proud member of the American Legion and served as Grand Marshal the Veteran’s Day Parade before his death.

My father fought in the European Theatre in WWII, losing many buddies. My uncle died in the attempted rescue of Gen. Patton’s son. They fought AGAINST Nazisim, and honor the Jewish people. Another cousin survived the attack at Pearl Harbor. Many other friends and relatives fought and died in the Pacific and Viet Nam. Still, others I know have lost loved ones in Iraq.

So am I offended by this “New” Democratic Party? This party that has denounced the very fiber of our country? This Obama Marxist regime, with his terrorist ties, and anti-American, hate-mongerering sentiment?

Am I incensed at the disrespect shown to the veterans – living and departed? The people that have always made this country the greatest in the world? The Greatest Generation and THEIR fathers and mothers? The country that many of my loved ones fought and sometimes died for? You damn right I am.

How dare a small group of elitists who have no love or loyalty for anything noble, and wouldn’t know how to load much less fire a gun (except a Saturday-night special), tell us how this country is going to be run, and what we are going to have to do? How we are going to have to live and what we are going to accept? Unify? UNIFY? U N I F Y???

If the New Democratic Party wants a REVOLUTION, they’ve got one. Support BHO? TRY AND MAKE ME.

  58. wbboie,

i agree with your statment so much, and these words hit home.

and you know wbboei, it has occured to me many times, that they
had planned this all out with howard dean, and when it went
south, and john kerry became the candidate, they just stepped
back and waited for 4 more years. they must have thought,
that if they used an affirmative action candidate,
they could play the winning horse.

how pissed they must have been when hillary stepped into
    their long awaited plans…

  59. Hi gang!

I have been a reader and passive contributor to this blog since May 2007. I support your efforts, and respect your decisions. I hope you respect mine. I am a lifelong Democrat and as Hillary said “the stakes are too high” to elect a republican. Honestly, I hope your current movement to unseat Obama as the nominee works out. I have always wanted Hillary to be our nominee. I wish you all the best of luck. But please understand, unless she is the nominee, I have no choice but to vote for Obama.

  60. okay someone else can take this one, cause i am already on
    someones shit list…
    ************************************

now just thought i would post this nauseating piece of news

Michelle Obama Gears Up For A Gabfest

No more View from the cheap seats for Michelle Obama.

The potential next first lady of the United States is slated to appear June 18 as a guest host on The View.

No celebrity guests have been booked yet, but we’re sure Barack Obama’s Princeton and Harvard-educated missus will have no trouble being heard over the most vocal ladies in daytime

  61. oh btw…………..THAT SPEECH HILLARY GAVE MADE BOTH ME AND MY LIFE PARTNER cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hillary has done something so historical, for all of us, and we should all be grateful. If Hillary is not 44, then I am praying for 45

  62. sandy .. I’m resentful you’d post here and say you’ll vote obama. Right now is a very hard time for us. could you just go away with your cheerleading for bambi. We are working to defeat him .. go find an Obama site to parade around on.

  63. well skm, whether or not you agree with me is immaterial. i have been a loyal supporter of hillary and i still support her in any endeavor she attempts 100 percent. If Hillary wants to re-activate her campaign at a moment’s notice, I’m there.

  64. dot—–actually, i have been a supporter of hillary since may 92!!!!! and i have every right to post here!!! i have contributed $ to this site, and have posted here for over a year. Dont be narrow minded. Be respectful of other people’s decisions!

  65. Wbboei,

As you say, writing letters to the DNC and Superdelegates is a waste of time. There is only one thing that will work: defeat. The defeat must be not only Obama’s defeat but the defeat of all the superdelegate and election officials who endorsed Obama pre June 3, 2008.

About Hillary and the convention – let’s wait on discussing that.

We define the Democratic Party as the party of the people. The people voted for Hillary. Hillary supporters are the majority of the Democratic Party. There is also the Democratic? Party of Dean/Pelosi/Brazille – that party must be destroyed. No one should take a trip on even a lakeside cruise with the Democratic? Party.

Your analysis is understandable. You should not be “seduced by policy promises”. But there are many fights going on right now and many things are at stake inside and outside the various factions of the Democratic Party and the Democratic? Party.

We are suggesting that everyone hold their fire, anger, decisions, and do the work that is necessary now. That work is organizational and long term.

  66. just don’t talk about voting for bambi. we are trying to be sure he stays OUT of the WH. If you want to celebrate bambi go to his site.

  67. What so many Obamabots fail to realize that Hillary staying in the race this long protected him from a full-scale assault by the GOP.

  68. okay admin i keep seeing the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, and
    the democratic? party.

    so let me see here…
    hmmmmmmm

can you personally confirm to us that there is a war going on
    between the two factions?
and if there is, will there be a possible outcome we might like?
alright let me ask you this important question,
are you asking us to trust you on this? cause if you are, that
    is another matter altogether…

  69. dot—–the last thing i want to do is “celebrate” bambi. did you read my post??? i said i support your efforts. i want you to keep him out of the whitehouse via the convention. I’m in!!!! Do you have any idea how heartbreaking this whole thing has been for me??? I have not been involved in Politics since 1992. I decided to get involved again now that Hillary is running. I am pissed off that Michigan/FLorida was rigged (yes rigged—–if they had stuck with the 50 percent ruling that they started with, and ended up with, Hillary would have had the momentum going into super Tuesday).

I was just saying, that I am not going to vote for a Republican over Obama. I will vote for Obama if its him vs. Mccain. I also said I respected your decisions. And I hope you would respect mine!!!!!!

  70. cnn already starting the all out assault on McCain with their 8pm special .. framing the issues all proBambi.

  71. in other words admin, you need to say it in a way we get the
    message.

if you say, sk trust me on this, you need to go along with
these steps cause they will bare fruit you will be really happy
with, than, i can say: oohhhhhhh alright than…

  72. on last night’s blog here, there was a post asking us ti join an anti BO group.

    The name was “spelgales”.

May be legit, may be not. The site wanted WAY TOO much info for my comfort level. And especially if one has been, or is, a Hillary supporter.

If you know of this group, plse post details.

This might be one way we can help each other, BTW…an early warning system…

  73. sandy .. why even bring up “voting for bambi” then.

I’m not going to argue with you.

    I’m not voting for him.

  74. sandy1938-

Yes, the stakes are very high. So high, in fact, that I’ve decided that a vote for BHO drives a stake into the heart of true democratic ideals. He is no democrat, but an opportunist. For BHO, this isn’t about “us”, t’s all about him. Now matter how many lofty speeches he gives, his actions speak much louder than anything coming out of his mouth. He has neither the judgement nor honorable character to lead the nation. He has stated that he isn’t a “hands on” type, but would surround himself with (NOI) experts.

He is poison and is surrounded by unscrupulous antagonists. He represents something other than what almost 18 million people voted for in supporting HRC’s progressive agenda with the skills to implement.

Sitting down with the world’s worst dictators without preconditions shows what little regard BHO has for this country and its citizens. This is not acceptable. He has no emotional investment in this country, our history, our heritage. His only perspective has been formed by a communist mentor in Hawaii, Nation of Islam beliefs promoted at TUCC, St. Sabina and other “churches”, and other mentors such as William Ayers. His habits away from the political arena do not meet the smell test, even with a wife and children.

I respect your right to do what you think you must, but I would ask that you keep an open mind and be a Hillary supporter who holds him fully accountable for his deeds and actions before earning your vote.

  76. curiosity—–

I am!!! And I am not here trying to convince people to vote for Obama. I was just checking in, stating where I stand. I wish by some miracle HIllary could still pull this off. I hope to God she does.

  77. sandy, for one thing .. he is the nominee unless something takes him out .. the DNC has already made sure of that. Hillary had her option of going to the convention blackmailed and shoved with threats of all sorts. She was shy 150 delegates .. yesterday 300 superdelegates bailed. So now she is about 450 delegates shy.

I hope scandal cripples him before the convention ..but I’m not holding my breath. Whoever had the tape has most likely been bought off.

  78. but HONESTLY CURIOSITY…………Hillary said that we must elect a Democrat. She said that. She mentioned BO 14 times. She said we must take our enthusiasm towards her and give it to him. Maybe she will be on the ticket as VP.

  79. my reasons for being against him are the same as they were before Hillary endorsed him .. and I’m finding most people agree with me.

  80. Sandy, it stands to reason that Hillary is the best qualified for VP if not POTUS right now .. HOWEVER, the ego of that monster will show you he will give that offer to ANY OTHER FEMALE BUT HILLARY. jUST AS ANOTHER SLAP IN HER FACE.

    JUST WATCH.

    THEN VOTE FOR HIM

  81. Sandy,

We KNOW what she said and we also know what she DIDN’T say! We know what she meant by the look in her eyes, the tone of her voice, the poetry of her language, the subtlty of her gestures.

No one here needs you giving us a play-by-play of her speech.

Why don’t you go over to Taylor Marsh’s ‘new’ site. They’re very receptive to your message.

    WE AREN’T! 👿

  82. sandy1938:

In all due respect, although you have every right to your own opinion, our loyalty is so deep to HRC (allergic to koolaid) that we can in no way vote for the arm of the party that has resorted to blackmailing and distorting democracy. I dunno, perhaps the study that says biology dictates how you think and how you’ll vote may be valid. There are supporters who can’t divorce the treatment of almost eighteen million citizens by “our” partythe BHO camp or Big Media and intend to protest to the last dog dies.

If you feel differently, then – like the study says, it could be biological. Meanwhile, back at the ranch – this is not the sentiment that is an option to our cause, and that is why others have mentioned other pro-Obama sites. It is unrealistic for you to think your plans would be met with any other feeling but disdain.

In no way do the loyal HRC supporters intend to sit back and watch this site we respect and hold dear be overtaken as others have by BHO supporters. So, having blogged that, I have to agree that it is an afront to view “logic” that we do not subscribe to, as the sentiment here is that there is no logic that justifies support for BHO. NONE whatsoever. Sorry to be so blunt, but again, your intentions would be welcome many other places, but not here. Thank you for understanding that we will not be undermined in spirit.

I don’t know how new those sites are that you’re talking about, but I put up turndownobama.com last week and put a message board on it and hilllaryormccain.com a few days ago and registered a couple of other domains before the bots could get them, and put up a CafePress store, and I’ve been running around checking out other never obama sites and registering at them and adding them to my page trying to make some connections, and everyone on them is also too damn busy to work up long profound essays every day or several times a day — or do anything else fancy with their sites.

camille 424’s ‘bitterpoliticsz’ site and /blog.pumapac.org are very full with TM refugees and hillaryclinton.com refugees respectively.

I haven’t got a signup dealie because I don’t know how. But it’s a very good first step for those who can. The point is to get people organized to some extent while feelings are hot, then later we can all share our lists and put them all in touch and some groups can coalesce.

  85. Sounds like they’re going to try and soften up MO’s image before the bad news hits.

First dispute the story (as they tried with ‘Why’d He),
    then try to offset it.

dot—–actually, i have been a supporter of hillary since may 92!!!!! and i have every right to post here!!! i have contributed $ to this site, and have posted here for over a year. Dont be narrow minded. Be respectful of other people’s decisions!

Sandy, then may i ask you where have you been for the last 16 months????

what did you do to support and help get Hillary elected? clearly you did nothing on this site prior to today, so why start now????

  87. I love so many of your posts. But to those of you who feel they must vote for Obama because of the issues, I ask you to consider something that is vital to the country.

The founders’ main issue in setting up this government was their fear of absolute power because it corrupts and there goes govt by and for the people. More often than not, this has been a Republican problem (see Florida 2000 with Jeb Bush and Katharine Harris — didn’t take much to deny Foridians their votes) Very often, we vote for a divided govt (Congress one party, the Presidency the other)

This time we saw what a presumed sweep did to the party. They manipulated the caucus count and ignored Obama wipeouts in state after state primaries. Their arrogance crested when they REMOVED delegates earned by Hillary and awarded them to a man not on the ballot! The old Polish Communist Party would have blushed at this illegal unconstitutional power grab. If this is rewarded, what comes next?

How can anyone bless this ‘new’ Democratic party? We must first get back a two-party system, our system of checks and balances, and our constitution. Our votes must be sacred and ALL our votes must be counted — and counted accurately. When Obama says, “We must turn the page on the policies of the past”, I think he means representative democracy, the right to privacy, and ethics reform. Or maybe he means tax hikes for the poor. A man who would take contributions from a man who couldn’t afford to put the heat for his tenants in a Chicago winter, can’t be trusted to watch our money. But first things first. Get back your hijacked party before you do the automatic support thing for a now-unworthy party.

My suggestion is that we also look for honest people in each party and end the automatic win in Dem and Republican districts which gets us so many corrupt and spineless congressmen. Then the parties will reflect our views and not be elite, bought reps.

Just something to think about — what will your vote really mean for the country? Can you really afford to reward Obama?

  88. what a perfect movie to watch tonight!!!

    Iron jawed Angels

    hillary swank,frances o’connor,julia ormond (2004)

activist Alica Paul and Lucy Burns take the women’s suffrage movement by strom.

    looks like a great movie!!!

  89. sandy and others,

I will work twice as hard for McCain against an Obama/Clinton ticket than an Obama/anyone ticket.

The idea of Hilllary as Obama’s VP is TOTALLY OBSCENELY OFFENSIVE. He abuses her, almost destroys her — then she gets to IRON HIS SHIRT for four or eight years? After SHE gets him elected in November, which he could never do for himselfl!

She is 60. She has an excellent and comfortable career in the Senate, is in line for another Pres run in 2012 (or 2008 if the DNC come to its senses) — and she’s supposed to give up EIGHT YEARS to propping up her abuser? Effectively the rest of her active life!

Sorry but that is not the message I want to see given to our daughters.

Hillary has said she doesn’t want VP but will take it if the party wants her to help him get elected. Some people are spinning that she WANTS it. I doubt that — but even if she did, I’m not going to be a party to lettting her tie herself up as an enabler of her abuser. I’ll fight that harder than any other Obama ticket.

The lesson of history is that if we don’t learn from it (history), it will repeat itself. Very well stated. Echos of Stalin, Lenin, Hitler, Mussolini reverberate lately. In case of doubt, read today’s REZKO WATCH.

Checked out REZKO WATCH as mentioned earlier this afternoon, and folks – it’s all there. Read the ENTIRE SUNDAY section of RW. No, this isn’t our imaginations. We’re not overreacting. Their next “fix” is in the works. Our country founded on democracy and all men being created equal..life, LIBERTY, pursuit of happiness..FREEDOM of religion…FREEDOM from persecution..what our brave have fought and died for..for generations..is all under attack. It is real. It is dramatic. There is an all-out assault on DEMOCRACY.

Yes this is about universal healthcare, the sagging economy, energy prices and sources, foreclosures, student loans, Iraq, etc.

But (like Dr. Phil might state), that’s not what we’re talking about right now is it, really? What’s this REALLY about? This is about freedom. FREEDOM. Starting with the American Revolution to our current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq – this is about our basic rights and freedom. We are smack dab in the midst of a REVOLUTION that is taking place AS WE BLOG over the internet, propogadist airwaves, media print, behind-the scenes buy-offs and organized crime (did someone say Chicago/Farrakhan/Rezko/Daley/Wright?). Look what has happened in just the PAST FOUR years while we have been watching “Leave it to Beaver” and “Andy Griffith” reruns? While we have all been ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL, commuting, clocking in and out after slogging hallways, educating minds, keeping people alive, keeping law and order on the streets, putting out fires literally and figuratively, checkout lines going, merchandise moving…..MARXIST PHILOSOPHY HAS TAKEN ROOT as an incidious cancer, moving slowly, methodically and undetected…until NOW. We have been duped in the past five months, and have slowly come to the realization that yes, the “FIX” was in. They think we will accept their NAZI REGIME. They think their NEW WORLD ORDER is a given and THEIR NEXT “FIX” IS IN.

It is up to every one of us to do everything we can every waking moment to ensure defeat of the monster – the arm – the octopus that is the “New” Democratic Party.

DEFEAT BHO AND SAVE THE UNITED STATES AND THE WORLD. SAVE FREEDOM.

  104. birdgal,

But really — if we get going on a write-in plan, can we count on the current rules still being current by November and the local vote-counters following them? Wouldn’t the DNC/Obama machine get to work at the local levels, either changing the rules or getting their people into the local positions? That’s exactly their sort of game!

  108. MOON—-

DEAL WITH IT ASSHOLE. I ALWAYS POST IN ALL-CAPS!!! DONT LIKE IT??? TOUGH SHIT!

  116. sandy1938:

I have not been rude to you. I gave you the reasons why your sentiments were met with disdain.

Due to information that is circulating, due to verifiable, organized efforts of BHO supporters to demolish any HRC sentiment and due to the nature of the BHO supporters incessant desire to disrupt others’ dissenting views – how else are your comments to be taken?

In fact, your rants and profanity are telling indeed. It appears you have no earnest desire to be respectful of what this site stands for or you wouldn’t have disrupted with your initial post.

Therefore, because of your continued intrusion into dialogue, and adamant defense for what has no defense, you have shown that you are not a HRC supporter. Your Obamamania is showing. GOODBYE.

  117. to prevent democratic party insiders from corruption in future, those who endorsed BHO before June 3th must pay a price in Nov.. Ths democratic primary is a wake up call.

We need to find TRUE Democrats to challenge them in their districts before resorting to Republicans.

We need to remember we are larger in number (and growing) than the BHO faction.

We will collectively do everything in our power to see to it that you and that mysogynist, bigoted, race-baiting pig you worship, the fraud who has already set gender and racial relations back thirty years, goes down in flames in a big way. And there are millions of us. Millions. The kind of millions that brought his type down before from the voting booth.

“Our goal is to make Barack Obama lose by an even bigger margin than George McGovern, and he got 38% thanks to his ill-behaved savage followers. And you guys are worse! And George was actually a gentleman with some brains, unlike Barky Obama. He didn’t even do the rap on camera and give people the finger. His nutcase followers didn’t even have the internet where they could make comments about slitting Hillary Clinton’s throat and tossing her into a river like you guys do at my.barackobama. But, there is one huge simlilarity. Like his crackpot followers, you folks are the reason that the Democratic Party has only elected only two Presidents in thirty years. And only one of them served two terms. Guess why? Because he was a moderate instead of a crackpot Marxist hanging off some radical cliff.”

Hillary was commended by the HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN for not only organizing a coalition to repeal the Federal Marriage Ammendment, but ALSO for having the foresight to come up with a strategy that ensures that this issue will not be brought up again in congress.

And yes, originally the DEFENSE of MARRIAGE act was an effort by her husband to shut up the GOP who had control of both chambers of congress at that time. Hillary, as PRESIDENT, will most likely select judges who believe that DOMA is unconstitutional, and it will be a non-issue.

I don’t support Hillary blindly. But the essence of your criticism against her and Barney Frank is that they are “Acting like politicians.” OK, point conceded. But, they ARE Politicians. And they NEED to BE competent POLITICIANS in order to win elections. That is the point I was making.

And while HILLARY did not commit what would have THEN been political suicide by ENDORSING GAY MARRIAGE, she did, in fact, push for DOMESTIC PARTNER BENEFITS and Civil UNIONS.

And while BILL CLINTON may not be PERFECT (Who is?)on these issues, I applaud him enthusiastically for the COUNTLESS LIVES he has saved though the William J Clinton Foundation’s HIV/AIDS initiatives. BRAVO!!!

And just imagine the potentially MILLIONS of LIVES that could be saved if HILLARY CLINTON’s promise to fund stem cell research is fulfilled!!

  139. The Hillary I Know
by Sandy1938, Mon Dec 17, 2007 at 12:22:14 PM EST

Hillary Clinton has published a wonderful webpage titled “The Hillary I Know” http://www.TheHillaryIKnow.com where doubters can get a glimpse inside the actual person that is Hillary Rodham Clinton. The site features moving accounts from some of her close friends and collegues, and has inspired me to write about my own experiences with the Senator from New York.

While I have only been in the same room as Hillary twice (once in 1992 and once in 2007), her example of “grace under fire” served as an inspiration to me during many troubling circumstances.

In the late 90’s, I was working in a very hostile sales environment, in a corporate culture that was changing from regional to global. The competition was cut-throat. I managed to do my job, and do it well. Yet, others in the office would have none of that. Because of my sexual orientation, many of my male co-workers started to spread viscious rumors about me, to undermine my success.

Each day, I was subjected to routine harrassment and cat calls, while I continued to focus on my performance. At the same time, the national news media was investigating the Monica Lewinski scandal.

It reminded me of the unwarranted flak that Hillary took for her excellent healthcare propsosal, which my own doctor supported. Hillary was demonized by profiteers out to make a buck, and handled herself with courage and dignity after it consequently failed

I also remember thinking to myself about Hillary “This woman’s husband just cheated on her. Her own reputation has been trashed. Her career could potentially be over, and through it all she is handling herself with poise and dignity, and not giving up.” Hillary was truly an inspiration to me at that time. I even put up a small photo of Hillary Clinton (that she had signed in 1992)in the corner on my desk as inspiration.

My sexist and homophobic coworkers eventually got the axe. I outlasted them all. Hillary’s example and inspiration gave me the courage to walk through a difficult situation, and hold my head high.

Over the course of this campaign, Hillary has remarked about how supporters have told her “This is not just about you, its about us.” And Hillary gets it.

Hillary Clinton has been the most supportive of both women’s rights and gay rights of any of the candidates running. Moreover, it has been obvious to me, based on both her record and her personal interactions, that she is passionate about equality for all.

    That’s the HIllary I know.

  140. sonia——

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i appreciate you digging all that up!!! i wouldnt even know how to dig up those comments myself!! it has been a seriously heartbreaking experience watching all this happen. i know people’s fuses are short. i just felt hurt that hillary supporters would turn on my and that is why i wrote that diary. i can delete it from mydd if you like.

Good try. HRC employs strategy. She is on the national stage. She knows the ropes. She’s brilliant.
We are the background props. We are the working bees. The do-bees. You are a don’t-bee.
I am not concerned with the day-to-day DNC happenings any longer.
They no longer have me on the edge of my chair with their daily blows to our self-esteem.
Co-dependent no more. Our eye is on the ball.
We intend to look after the good of the country and the welfare of her eighteen million supporters.
We know what we need to do and she is depending on us to be there for her. We will be there.
We understand what is going on within the HRC camp and I’m convinced you do as well. Give me a break.
I haven’t ranted toward you. I simply have your number.
Your game is to create havoc and it’s designed to be an annoyance.
The only stooping going on here is that you say you support HRC.
Who are you trying to convince – me or you? Because I’m not (as well as others) buying it.
Go sip your koolaid and gain some maturity while you’re at it.
Too much work to do to tangle with the opposition. Last acknowledgement. Hope others ignore as well.

If you had respect for HRC you would be as affected as many of us.

Have a special wound to the back over McCaskill. Before I realized the “lay of the land,” I made many, many calls on her behalf through MoveOn in order to squeak out her win. Me and thousands of other clueless women, thinking she was one of us! Cut ties with MoveOn, the Marxist machine of the DNC.
She’s at the top of my list for defeat, along with Kerry. She’s the worst kind. Can’t believe I helped her get elected. She’ll play hell getting women to support her again. Won’t happen. Her and many others.

  150. The following is from TM,

“If all of her supporters go McCain, it doesn’t help her at all.”

    Actually it does.

Reagan’s supporters did not go to Ford in 1976. Ford was defeated. Reagan ran again in 1980 and won landslide.

It is the same scenario for Hillary.

Best thing that can happen to her is a McCain victory in November.

  151. I found this on NQ:

    The hits keep coming”

US Presidential candidate Barack Obama embraces Jay-Z

    By Rahim, 01-10-2008 , 08:47 AM

US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama plans to utilize hip-hop artists to educate American people, should he be elected as the Democrat candidate.

Obama has already been dubbed “B-Rock” by Vibe Magazine, has managed to capture the imagination of the American hip-hop community.

The senator has confirmed that he plans to utilize hip-hop artists to educate American people, should he be elected as the Democrat candidate and then make it as President.

Speaking on US TV show “What’s In It For Us” he explained: “I’ve met with Jay-Z. I’ve met with Kanye (West). And I’ve talked to other artists about how potentially to bridge that gap.”

He added: “There are times, even on the artists I’ve named, the artists that I love, that there is a message that’s sometimes degrading to women, and uses the N-word a little too frequently.”

  155. Curosity, many, many of us women here in Missouri worked hard for Claire to help her win over the Rep Jim Talent. I feel exactly the same way you do about her.

We can hardly wait for her to run again. It will be with a great deal of pleasure that many of us will work with fervor AGAINST her. She has been a huge, huge disappointment. We thought we knew her or maybe we just wanted to get rid of Talent.

And that is reason enough for us to make sure we KNOW our candidate although sometimes we can not predict what that candidate will do in some situations like this crazy upside down election this year. It does not matter if it is a woman or an AA or white, green or purple, we can all be fooled some of the time. That is just one reason I’d not vote for a candidate because of
    gender or skin.

  156. dija: I am going to order that from Netflix. After I read a posting about the movie, I felt more inspired. That is why, I HAVE TO VOTE. What women went through, to achieve our right to vote is amazing. My vote may be a protest vote, but it is a vote. Not voting is giving into the nefarious forces of evil. The act of voting is very empowering.

  157. Sandy1938

    Are you done yet?

At some point you have to stop beating the cat…..just say a prayer , bury it and move on.

WE have much more important things to be focusing on than IF you were always a Hillary supporter or not

the more important question is are you still a Hillary supporter now? if you are.. then act like one….. if not kindly move on.

  158. sonia—-

well gOD Bless you!!!! HOnestly I miss the days when this site was civil. Oh well, thanks for keeping it real!! This site was my introduction to the blogosphere and I will never turn on ADMIN, or Kostner, or DCDEMOCRAT or any of the original posters here. Lets face it—we all have the same goals!

Amen to the being fooled by same-gender voting.

Kay Bailey-Hutchinson keeps getting mentioned as possible VP pick by McCain.

Had announced she was seeking Texas governorship. Sure she’s devastated tonight. Earlier today, the Governor’s Mansion, being refurbished, burned to the ground within blocks of the capitol in downtown Austin! One of the oldest in the nation. Beautiful. Will always think of it occupied by Gov. Ann Richards.

  160. the following is from TM,

“I just heard on Fox that 3 million dead people voted for Obama . Doesn’t that just sound like Chicago politics?
How will he get all those dead people to vote for him in the general election? “

  161. dija—

yes!!! i am indeed a HILLARY supporter. I support her now and in every endeavor that she decides to engage!!! HILLARY FOREVER!!! But if she is not engaging in this nomiation fight, what should I do???? Hillary says “put our enthusiasm behind Obama”. Her words-not mine. If I am going to follow Hillary, what would you suggest I do, given that she said that???????????

  162. Reposted from the previous article to make sure Admin saw.

Admin, it is hard for me to understand who might be writing for you, or even if someone is directing you. I certainly do believe that you have a right to your opinion, if it is truly yours. However there is some organizational dynamics here that I think you fail to understand.

When an organization is being run by bullies, and they have beaten off the nearest threat to their power, you do not fold in behind them, and become part of the gang, all the while trying to change the group from within. The group is being run by bullies, and that is who all the mindless followers will follow.

When you have an organization like this, you must step out of the organization, and destroy the bullies that are leading it from the outside.

That will only be done if they lose the power. The Democratic Party desperatly needs to win to survive. If they don’t win in November, they might not survive. In addition, the bullies will also now be failed leaders.

So the only threat to these bullies are massive re- registering of the Dems to Rep, and a vote in November so they fail.

These people have fraudulantly stolen this from the American People. The American people must send a knee to the you know where to get it back. A lose in November will take out O and probably D and make the others look for the woodwork.

Group dynamics for change only works if the group is accepting of change. This group thinks they can buy, promise, and ignore the popular vote to get what they one. Folding in means submission.

You can talk about the Democratic Parties beliefs all you want, but when bullies are in charge, believe me they have their own agenda, and it might not be Democratic

  163. djia, I just caught the end of the show, I wished I had seen the whole thing. It reminds me of the effort many have put forth for Hillary. It a real shame the best candidate can’t get nominated because of the press, selfishness, egos, old vendettas. The upper level of the DNC would rather sacrifice the country to get rid of the Clintons. I cannot wait for O to lose and lose by a landslide. I think we will be courted by the republicans and BO hasn’t even asked us for our vote or apologized for the behavior of his campaign staff or supporters. I will not forget what he has said about Hillary ever. He will not get my vote. My vote and my money will go to the RNC and McCain.

  164. Birdgal,
Let me see if I got this right:

“The Senator (BO) has confirmed that he plans to utilize hip hop artist to educate American people.”

So what does that mean…BHO is gonna meet “unconditionally” with the hip hoppers and they are immediately going to stop calling women who^%s, and b*tches and from this moment on will be calling them Sweetie?

  165. Sandy1938

  166. “sandy1938,” in keeping with Southern Born’s post from today at 9:37 pm, appears to have had her account ‘phished’ by an Obamabot.

As the post from The Confluence makes clear, this is happening and will continue to happen with greater frequency courtesy of the Axelrodian Astroturfers. Numerically speaking, they have to try to do this because, as a non-majority in their own party, they have zero viability without such parlor tricks.

Bambi’s entire campaign has been a series of smoke and mirrors, and it is thus unsurprising that we have come to this stage.

Change your passwords frequently, on this and other sites. That is one way to prevent your accounts from being phished. Big Pink has that ability and I know I recently altered my own password.

There is currently someone on my MySpace account, a ‘friend,’ who is working very hard to phish my account and try to get incriminating material on me. Expect the same thing to happen to all of you. For now, I have chosen to keep the enemy close, as the saying goes, but soon I will have to dispatch of this person before they are able to try to phish my account.

When you see an obvious case of this, like ‘Sandy,’ just ignore it. I have read about 2 sentences of what Sandy has written since she said she would support Obama, and that was sufficient. I won’t be reading any phisher’s capitalized screeds and neither should anyone else.

Because that’s the goal: Disrupt us, waste our time, divert our energies from what is happening — the systematic planning of the defeat of Barack Obama which we are engaging in.

Don’t worry about these incidents. They will all be looked at and laughed about when Obama loses either in or before November.

What phisher’s/astroturfers such as “Sandy” are doing would be called ‘drafting’ in the auto racing world. What that means, here, is that they are using the legit instances of defectors to Bambi (like Taylor Marsh) as an opportunity to try to sew division between those who will not support Bambi. A simple technique.

Don’t believe the hype. It’s just he latest astroturfer ruse from Bambs’ peeps.

    .

    * 1950’s: I totally agree. No HRC as VP. She needs to be as far away from “Whitey”‘s hubby as she can be when Humpty Dumpty falls for the final time in either November or earlier.

    * The reason the media is setting-up the “Clinton will be blamed when Bambi loses” theme is because they all know he’s going to lose, so they’re working hard to try to plant the meme. Won’t matter. When he loses he’s gone and we move on with the popular vote winner from these primaries.

    * Blue Dem: I agree with you completely about Mish’s going on The View. It is an obvious pre-empt to the “Whitey” torrent which looks certain to come. And, as you said, it won’t mean anything once the tape breaks. Expect lots of ass-kissing to white women and whites in general from the woman whom I choose to call “The Loser” in response to her absurd nickname “The Closer.”

    * CuriosityHasMe: Excellent posts. You are so right — this is a battle for the core not only of the party but, truly, of the country. We are heading down the totalitarian road which wbboei’s post mentioned. This is, as I have called it before, total war. We either win or we are run over, period.

    * Admin: Another brilliant post. Thank you both for it and for this site and all you have done and are doing.

As you know, I will be campaigning and voting for John McCain. As others have mentioned it is the best way to inflict damage on Bambi and I actually respect McCain unlike his current challenger. I trust McCain to keep our nation safe.

As you said, however, we all have to make our own choices and we all share the same goal: Stop Bambi. Whatever way we manifest our efforts to achieve that goal aren’t as important (as long as they’re legal).

    * wbboei: Your post at 7:41 pm was brilliant.

The second paragraph is a perfect description of what we are dealing with in the Bambians, and you also place this phenomenon in its proper historical context. This is a new form of warfare and it — what I have referred to as ‘smoke and mirrors’ in this post — is very real and very insidious. It has to be fought head-on and with full commitment. That is my position as well.

At several times during this primary season I have mentioned the internationalist and Trilateral (read: One World Government) Commission founder Zbigniew Brzezinski. Brzezinski and his cabal are world-class propagandists and we are seeing that expertise currently on display. What is being done now, and has been done throughout this campaign, far exceeds Bambi’s or David Axerlod’s talents. This is an entirely different level than either of those men is capable of by themselves or even working together without figures such as Brzezinski.

The realization of this and the understanding of the strength of the organization backing Bambi (not Bambi’s strength himself – he is nothing but a properly-toned vessel for the Brzezinskis) was why I reached out to the McCain camp as well as the RNC. There is no time for games or half-measures; we are going to have to work very diligently — and that includes the adage ‘smarter AND harder’ — to defeat these would-be coupists of America. Any less of an effort or any concessions could spell defeat. And that is why I will campaign and vote for McCain, in order to maximize the direct damage to the Bambians.

High-level GOP operatives understand what they are dealing with. That is the good news. I have come to learn that some of our anti-Bambian efforts have been noticed at the highest levels of government. That is, by the GOP-dominated administration. These people ‘get’ what is going on and are keen on rebuffing the coupists just as much as we are, even if their rationale is at variance with our own.

Barack Hussein Obama is a lying, bad-spouse-choosing fraud. It is easy to not take him seriously because he is saying idiotic things like his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz, there are 57 states, etc.

And if he and Deval’s Daddy were the chief opponents, Hillary would be the nominee today.

They are not and she is not. These two facts, of themselves, are enough to make us realize that we have a real fight on our hands.

We are dealing with high-level internet sophisticates and internationally-renowned fabricators and spinmeisters.

This is going to be a fight to the finish, in other words. It is not going to be easy.

But as CuriosityHasMe said, it is a struggle for our basic freedom. Not just freedom as Democrats but freedom as Americans to exercise our sovereignty over our own elections.

Bambi is a tool of many people and a good number of them are non-Americans. They are extremely vested in his winning the Presidency and don’t give a sh*t about voters in FL & MI. Remember that.

While I hope that we are able to give Bambi the kind of beatdown which Rafael Nadal put on Roger Federer today and which the Boston Celtics are presently administering to the Los Angeles Lakers, the reality is that this is likely to be much closer of a contest. And since this looks to be the case, I favor exactly what wbboei is advocating: full cooperation with our nominal enemies in the joint operation of making sure that Babmi and his illicit cadre is stopped.

I was Sad because our dream had died. The only presidential candidate to care about gays/lesbians just conceded. It was heartbreaking for both of us. Obama claims to support gay rights—-but he went on tour with Donnie Mcclurkin and Mary Mary. Obama really just panders. Its sad. Our dream is dead. Luckily we live in California where we can get married (at least until November).

    Honestly, I just love Hillary.

I am hoping that this blog will determine and focus the action that we need to take next.

    ————————————–

I think the key may be ‘massive.’ We’ve been saying for months that Obama is sure to lose in November. I think he will lose regardless of what we Hillaristas do in November. The only difference is, will it be a massive, McGovern style destroying loss — or a loss that leaves Obama room to come back, as Nixon did, with his faction in the DNC still intact?

So really, all the soul-searching about write-ins vs voting for McCain — we’re not deciding whether to HAVE McCain as president. We’re just deciding how BIG Obama loses.

  193. Let us really understand something. Hillary cannot go Independent, as it is just too late in many states. She has 30-40M in debt, and she does not know any better than we do where this is going. She has been one hell of a brave person.

We on the other hand do not need to fold in. We have freedom of choice (yes I know she said to, but right now there is a gun to her head).

We have freedom of choice which Party we belong to

We have freedom of choice in who we tell the pollster we will vote for in November,

We have freedom choice in whether we pull the Rep level, or split it out.

It takes bravery to go against the crowd. It takes bravery to make the rgiht decision when a lot of people will be arguing with you.

Refresh your research, make your decision, and lets plan.

A coward dies a thousand deaths, and a brave person dies but once.

I can pull that Rep level, and feel good about it. I get stronger every day. When the state chair said Hillary would not want that, and then even copied her speech narrative, I became even stronger. As they continue to hit her, and Bill, I become even stronger. Every attack makes me stronger. Playing golf while she spoke made me stronger. Saying all those old people will fold in makes me stronger.

When I am asked for whom do you stand, I will stand and Say with great humility and pride, I stand for Hillary Rodham Clinton.

If you will stand for me now, I will stand for you later (Hillary Rodham Clinton).

  194. ShortTermer:

Admin not promoting BHO for election. Not promoting supporting McCain.

Think we must acknowledge that Admin knows a whole lot more than we do about the behind-the-scenes happenings. I’m going to listen, read, take cues and clues to ascertain how to proceed. Have no problem with that. I don’t expect immediate answers. This thing is too complicated to have an easy one-size-fits-all answer.

In order to figure out way this thing is shaking out, will trust Admin to inform as much as possible without divulging what can’t be “out there.” I mean we’re smart people, we know how to read the signals. The goal, I’m convinced remains the same. To promote HRC. To benefit her chances for success in various scenarios. If pendulums start swinging wildly, just keep calm. It’s still a long way to August, not to mention November. I’m going to chill out and keep my ear to the ground. Will stay adamant that won’t vote for BHO. If we all did same, without “selling out,” could make a huge difference in what goes forward.

    Just Say NO to BHO.

  195. I got a “gimme money” email from the Coward today. Everyone else on all the Hillforums seemed to get theirs yesterday or the day before, so I thought the DNC had finally gotten the hint and took me off their list. But no, the still want my $$$$. So here’s what I replied:
    ***********
Sorry, but I’m not drinking the unity Kool-Aid. If the Democrats were truly interested in winning the White House, you wouldn’t have strong-armed Hillary Clinton into suspending her campaign. You wouldn’t have allowed the Rules and Bylaws Committee to take a portion of her Michigan votes– and her delegates– and award them to a candidate who took his name off the ballot. As a Michigan voter, I am outraged by this flagrant violation of the basic principles of democracy. Don’t expect me to “get over it” before November.

I am not voting for Barack Obama.

I am not donating money to the DNC.

I am also taking a long, hard look at the downticket Democratic candidates. Unless they speak out against the DNC’s treatment of Senator Clinton as well as the Michigan voters, I will not be voting for those candidates, either.

  196. Here, here, New Mexico Fan. Well said.

Goodnight all. When I am in ignore “them” mode I tend to rattle on. So I’m taking myself off to bed. I think we here at Hillary is 44 have done a pretty good job of going into the ignore phase tonight. Good for us.

  197. Sandy,

I don’t know whether Hillary will get the nomination this year — she’d have to pull off somethuing really amazing, or Obama would have to be sent to jail, or something.

We’re mostly focused on Obama LOSING to McCain in November, which will have various good effects. And we don’t need Hillary’s approval or cooperation for any of this. She had better not be involved.

If McCain wins, she or some other REAL Democrat will be free to run against McCain in 2012. Hopefully Obama will be out of the picture, if he loses bad enough this year. We want Obama to lose so he and his faction won’t get control of the DNC. We think it’s more important to preserve the 2 party system.

Of course all the anti-Obama-November strength we’re showing, will be more evidence to convince the DNC that Obama can’t win in Nov (without our votes.) So if things work out for Hillary to have a chance at the convention after all, we’ll have good evidence to help her there.

Sorry if this is a little incoherent. 🙂 But that’s why, in spite of anything Hillary is forced to say, we are ALL AGAINST OBAMA.

  198. okay new mexico,

i will put forth my plan, though some here wont like it. i say we
have all talked enough, we must now move forward. many want
to vote mccain, some not, okay fine, but we all want obama out.
i have spent the last weeks visiting all these sites with the same
idea, but no cohesive plan to connect us.
if we stay fractured like this, we will lose sheep all along the way.
we must organize and organize now. we can always discuss the
particulars later, right now we need to bind us all together.

so my action plan is to do as admin says, and fight the war on
the organizational side, we cant let the dems get away with this.
so action item number one is:

1- we follow admins action plans as they come out. and hope for
an unexpected opportunity to drag hillary back into the game.

2- we work to bring all interested parties together in one giant
site, or to have a site that does consulting for other sites, a
site that becomes informed, that can give information needed
by other sites to fight obama.

3- we must decide on one persons site, to try and bring the
groups together. we can call it ‘TAKE BACK AMERICA 08’
or any other handy name you choose. but right now, we
need to gather all the loose ends and pull them together.
maybe we should be shopping around for the site, and talk
about what they have to offer and who is in charge, and
whether they are willing to expand and be utilized in that way.

4- i think we should start like admin did, what is our first need
what is our second step ect ect ect…
lets not argue the philosophy now, lets do that after we set
    something real in motion…

okay, i’m just trying to give suggestions, now i welcome feedback
so we can get the dialogue rolling…

A Thank-You for 18 Million Cracks in the Glass Ceiling

    Washington Sketch
Clinton Ends Her Historic Bid for White House
But on the day she finally conceded defeat, it was Hillary Clinton’s words that soared.

“As we gather here today,” she told her supporters and staff members at the National Building Museum yesterday, “the 50th woman to leave this Earth is orbiting overhead. If we can blast 50 women into space, we will someday launch a woman into the White House.”

Two hundred forty miles below the international space station, the midday sunlight pouring into the 100-foot-high atrium illuminated the thousands who had come to bid the Clinton presidential candidacy farewell: most of them women, many of them with young children, some of them in tears.

“Although we weren’t able to shatter that highest, hardest glass ceiling this time, thanks to you, it’s got about 18 million cracks in it,” the former candidate continued. “And the light is shining through like never before, filling us all with the hope and the sure knowledge that the path will be a little easier next time.”

These words make me cry — we are part of those 18 million cracks

  201. ‘TAKE BACK AMERICA 08′ as well as using ” for the people by the people”

I like this as a slogan, not sure its a “group” ” new party” kind of name

but the slogan works well for the message

as for a group name for either the “movement” or a “new party”

may i suggest its kept simple and something that can easily be logo’d well

yes hillary was treated with sexism

yes hillary had the election stolen from her from the dnc (via originally penalizing 1/2 delegates, then 100 percent, then the original half again) this robbed hillary of her momentum.

there is no question about it………..obama and the msm drove hillary out of the race.

so far we agree on everything.

  204. djia and others who watched Iron Jawed Angels. I have some new action ideas for us to think about. It is an incredible film of the civil disobedience in this country by women led by Alice Paul in DC. Because of them the 19th ammendment was introduced and ratified. yes one word would be good, although someone suggested
the ‘FDR party’, and that was okay too.

but do you think we should look at sites or do you know of one,
if somebody has a site they want to forward our goals, than we
can make everyone of us here, ‘networkers’, we can make it our
committment to try and hardwire all the sites together somehow.

  209. dija—–

    you are right again!!!!

I am just saying the stakes are too high to vote for a republican. hillary said that herself. i agree. listen, if hillary had stayed in, i would be with her till the very end!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hillary told us what she wanted us to do. that is what i will do. i will take hillary’s advice and vote for obama. nuff said. bye to hillaryis44. hillary would not approve of this anymore. i am sorry, but she wouldn’t.

  210. WRITE-IN vs McCAIN?

When you go shopping, don’t you love those “buy-one,get-one-free” deals?

Depriving Obama of your Democratic vote via a write-in for Hillary will hurt him.

Voting FOR McCain hurts him twice as much. Do the math.

Part of the “Clinton Factor” will be lack of support for Obama. Even worse for Obama will be Dems voting for an honest, centrist Republican.

And for all the fuck shit Democratic party heads (SDs) who were spineless and deserted Hillary, and abetted in the coup, I feel it is crucial that they be punished for irresponsibly driving the bus off the cliff. We’re not talking anarchy, we are talking about a major house-cleaning.

How is it that in 2006, the Dems supposedly “took control”, but didn’t have the balls to play hardball against the Republicans? Because they are spineless.

They’ll have to pay for their spinelessness by getting other jobs. I heard that Burger King is hiring.

  211. RNC Statement on Democrat Party Disunity

WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan released the following statement today:

“Even as Senator Clinton concedes her candidacy and endorses Barack Obama today, it’s clear the Democrat Party is struggling desperately to unify. Senator Clinton was correct to question Obama’s naïveté and inexperience, and those concerns remain for all voters nationwide. As Senator Clinton and other Democrats have clearly stated, their Party will struggle to coalesce behind Barack Obama.

“I am confident voters across America will reject Barack Obama on Election Day, just as half of his Party already has – and with good reason. Barack Obama’s inexperience, poor judgment, and fundamental lack of understanding of issues that matter most to Americans are becoming more visible every day. As voters become more familiar with Barack Obama’s record in the coming months, they too will see why he is not qualified to be Commander in Chief

I will leave the walking on water, luminous soul, auto-elevation (floating in air for you unenlightened folks) and healing of the sick to hucksters, carnival workers, and Pentecostal ministers. Just give me someone who has enough sense to identify Jeremiah Wright as a race baiter and provocateur early on without sleeping thru 20 years of vile sermons only to awake, like a Rumpelstiltskin, to the belated realization that Wright’s views have no place in the mainstream of American culture.

Don’t save us Barack, save yourself.

  217. Also, I want to tell people that what seems to have happened to “sandy’s” account is that it got phished. I write about that in my post. Change your password frequently on this and other sites to avoid this issue.

There will be a lot of attempted ‘phishing’ going on right now. Be on your guard right now as we transition into the staunch anti-Bambi era.

  218. Paul,
    From your site;
” Blue Dem: I agree with you completely about Mish’s going on The View. It is an obvious pre-empt to the “Whitey” torrent which looks certain to come. And, as you said, it won’t mean anything once the tape breaks.”

And what’s weird is where I think this is heading, which is that BO & Co. are going to have to try and pre-empt the release of this thing by acknowledging it in some form or fashion, which means they’ll probably do it right after the convention, and try to bury it.
They’ve already tried to muddy the storyline, but not much is going to help.

For them to succeed in killing the story before it kills them means the media will have to help them bury it. Some media will, some won’t.

People will hear it but the buzz and how long it lasts depends precisely on the redundancy & content of this video (if it exists, which at this point we’d have to say is likely, if only considering how much smoke there’s been about it). But I think overall this (if said tape contains what it’s said to contain and it’s released) is just unchartered territory.
Who the hell knows what’s going to happen, and again, I’m still not 100% sold that McCain is going to be the ultimate republican nominee.

  219. paul—-

lol nice try. THE ONLY fish in my house comes from my girlfriend (to whom I will marry as of July 5, 2008). I am the same Sandy that has always been here. I am going to follow Hillary’s lead and vote for Obama. Hillary said that is what we should do. That is what I will do.

I am the sandy1938 that has always been here. If you want admin to ask me quiz questions, go for it. I will oblige.

  220. Barack Hussein Obama plays the race card: early and often

Barack Hussein Obama plays the race card: early and often

(CHICAGO)(December 12, 2006) Barack Hussein Obama went to New Hampshire last weekend. The media scrum followed. But I went back to my library, to retrieve a dusty copy of the classic novel Being There by Jerzy Kosinski.

Being There’s protagonist, Chauncey Gardner, is a one of the great characters in modern fiction. He is a simpleton who utters banalities that are taken as profundities by the media. Gardner’s meteoric rise tracks the same trail traveled by Obama.

Is Obama a simpleton, or just another shrewd con man, working the American people the same way he has worked the system in the past? Is “Obamatics” just the latest snake oil being sold by a racial huckster? Could be. Perhaps reading the Chicago Sun-Times can help us.

Lynn Sweet is a Washington reporter for the Sun-Times. She is a true believer in the Obama crusade. She is the founding mother and unofficial “soccer mom” of Obama’s rise to media imperviousness. But sometimes true believers have a way of innocently betraying the truth about their charges. Sweet may have done so in New Hampshire.

I read the Chicago Tribune’s account of Obama’s trip to New Hampshire. Christi Parsons had no mention of Obama agonistes as a racial exploiter. Adam Nagourney of the New York Times similarly missed Obama saying “race is a factor.”

But Lynn sweet did report Obama playing the race card. Sweet quoted B. Hussein as saying “minority candidates have ‘a higher threshold in establishing themselves with voters.’” Well.

That is a laughable claim but a shrewd use of the race card to position Obama for future manipulation of the electoral process.

The truth is exactly the opposite. Obama is being “seriously” considered because he is a racial curiosity. No white man with his tepid professional accomplishments would be considered as a serious candidate for president or showered with the attention Obama receives.

Obama graduated from Harvard Law School and became a “community organizer.” Why is it that minority communities are perpetually seen as being in need of “organizers?” Are they perpetually “disorganized?” What did Obama organize?

Obama is a lawyer who probably has never tried a serious lawsuit, and probably would have a hard time drafting an appellate brief. He rose to prominence by exploiting the fact of his abandonment by a father who was also a successful racial huckster. Barack and his wife are attractive ornaments in Chicago’s vibrant multicultural society, where many qualified and experienced and competent African-Americans are ignored and obscured by Obama’s shadow.

Obama can best be compared to another salesman of “hope,” John F. Kennedy, who ran for president in 1960. By then, Kennedy had served 14 years in Congress, not two. He had served in a war and been grievously wounded, not been an “organizer” who never organized anything. Kennedy had experienced life, and near-death. What has Obama experienced? Very little, it seems.

For him to claim that the barriers are higher, that the bar is higher for him to succeed, is nonsense. It is crass racialism. Obama is a product of the very “24-hour…small-minded politics” that he decries. “Barry” Obama? Makes a great speech. Absent the cablemeisters, Obama would be an obscure state senator in Springfield. He is the ultimate product of shrewd marketing and a pliable public, not the opposite.

The New York Times quoted one breathless New Hampshire admirer as saying “I was very impressed with the fact that he wants to bring people together.” Betsy Shultis was identified as a “former” state representative. Maybe that’s why. She is easily impressed. Has anyone recently run on a platform of trying to separate people? Is the Republican “base” any different in concept than the Democratic “base?” Not really.

Chauncey Gardner is a blood brother to Obama. Platitudes, bunkum, snake oil; Gardner and Obama share a common parent.

Two years ago I pointed out that Obama came from a Muslim family and that he misrepresented the impoverished origins of his father. No one wanted to pay attention to the facts or the truth. Except me. On December 5th Sweet wrote that Obama was not hiding his middle name, “Hussein,” or his father’s religion. Obama may not have hidden it, but the media did. They didn’t want to bore voters with the facts about Mr. Obama.

Much has been made of Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to the U. S. House last month. Obama would be the first lapsed Muslim to run for president.

Of course Obama only plays the “dad” card when it serves him. No mention of dad’s religion or the Hussein family name when the klieg lights are on. (Ellison, by the way, is a convert to Islam, just as Obama is a convert to Christianity. Or does Obama have his “white” relatives to thank for that?)

There was an orgy of media attention when Obama went to Kenya last summer. But, funny, I don’t seem to remember a similar orgy when Obama made a visit to his mother’s home town. He probably hasn’t been there recently. Only Dorothy wants to return to Kansas.

When Obama visited New York last week, Cindy Adams wrote that his movements were as tightly controlled as those of a president. “Retail politics in New Hampshire?” Obama is the most closely scripted and controlled person in the media spotlight today. He is about as “retail” as the gold vault at Fort Knox.

Don’t get me wrong. Americans are justifiably hungry to consider a qualified African-American candidate for president. Richard Parsons of Time-Warner comes to mind. Heard of him? Probably not. I thought so. Parson’s qualified.

But Barack/Barry seems to have fooled New Hampshire. Don’t let him fool you. Unless, of course, you want to be fooled. Personally, I would rather believe in Santa Claus or Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer than Barack Hussein Obama.

In short, Obama is media construct who will disappoint a lot of people when the truth comes out. In 2004, Contrarian Commentary had it first. In 2006, we are still leading the pack, courtesy of truthful reporting by Lynn Sweet and the Chicago Sun-Times. Keep reading, and please don’t be a true believer unless and until you know the truth about Obama.

Chauncey Gardner for president! Vote hope! And as we say in Chicago, “vote early and often!”

  221. A shit, Paul/Universal,

I just posted a lengthy response (here) to what you had on your blog, and it didn’t appear.

been happening a lot lately, losing posts…..

makes me feel like they’re getting ready to turn out the lights, though Admin has assured us it’s sticking around….

ill try it again tomorrow, tired & turning in. Night all.

  222. Understand this:
-a vote for McCain is a 2fer, Obama has to get one vote to cance, and he has to get another vote to gain – Voting McCain if Hillary is not the nominee is the only options are:

-a write is not possible in a number of states, deadlines have past or about to pass in many states, the candidate has to register/get signatures/and pay a fee; many states do not even let a candidate who was on a primary ballot register for write in status

-staying at home would not work this election cycle because that would be one vote that did not go against Obama; and he can do things like resurrect the dead for their votes-every vote AGAINST him is NEEDED if you do not want Obama to be elected.A number of states bundle the write ins and give it to that party’s candidate – this would be a vote for Obama.

-changing to INDEPENDENT voting status is the single most important thing that we can do, it is like hitting Obama over the head with a 2×4; and it feels so liberating because then you can support the candidate and not any undemocratic Democratic Party- not changing status means that Obama can steal your votes

-remember that the undemocratic Democratic Party LEFT YOU, you did not leave the undemocratic Democratic Party.
Make them work to woo you back after the general election-you would have some power then.

-people have a right to make their own decision about what to do about the THEFT of America; but if these fundamental calls to action above are no adhered to – God Save Our Country! The people who say things contrary to these calls to action are not a friend to America; they are likely Obamabots; or else they have been strongarmed by the Chicago styles politics.

this forum is not voting for obama because Hillary was “FORCED” to say that.
    (to endorse him)
    &&&&&

We all know Hillary had to say that she endorses and will support Obama. It is part of her political reality.

It reminds me of hostage video footage: “I am being treated very failry by my captors. We had pizza last night, and they let me watch tv at nights. They’re quite friendly”.

And you know they’re being told to read from a script, or else…

But we are not in Hillary’s predicament. We are free to express ourselves.

    We will not support Obama.
    We will vote against him.
We’ll not just vote against him, we’ll organize against him.
And Dems who let this trainwreck happen, we are targeting your seats too.

  224. WELL, while I am not going to write a “goodbye cruel world” post, I must say that tonight’s exchanges have been mighty revealing. Hillary Clinton is not a machiavellian candidate who will do anything to win. I have “felt” this from the moment I hung up a photo of her on my kitchen wall. I realize that some of you want Hillary to win at all costs. I can appreciate that. Honestly, she deserves it.

But the treatment of some of you (dija etc) has proven reprehensible.

I HOPE YOU FOLKS TAKE THIS ADVICE FROM A 16 YEAR HILLARY SUPPORTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : Take Hillary at face value. She says what she means and she means what she says. Currently, she says “put your full support behind Obama”. I hope you support Hillary enough to do just that.

    bye

  225. Sandy: Hillary may be saying that, and really mean it, but I think for myself and make my own decisions, when it comes to voting. If she said, to follow the lemmings over the cliff, I would not do it. You are entitled to your decision, but do not criticize anyone else for making his/her own choice. This is a democracy, or at least, used to be one. Independent thought is allowed.

  226. Michelle Obama on The View sounds like great news. “Give her enough rope…”
I hope she is all over the place, giddy and drunk on the arrogance of a nomination win. She couldn’t do enough public talk to suit me. She is like W2–the more you know him/her, the less you like them.

  227. bird—

you are entitled to your own views. i respect them. i came in this room tonight trying to say “hey folks, i respect your views, just respect mine”. i would never criticize you for your decision. however, i was treated like an obamabot just for saying i planned on voting for obama if he succeeded in being the nominee.

bird—-respect is a two way street. i plan on doing what hillary says, and voting for obama. i also understand why you wont. i totally get it. lets all be friends

  228. BIRD AND OTHERS————

HOWEVER I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THAT I DO NOT EXCUSE THE HORRIBLE WAY YOU HAVE TREATED ME, A LIFELONG CLINTON SUPPORTER FOR BOTH CLINTONS. YOU BEHAVIOR WAS INEXCUSABLE. YOU TREATED ME LIKE DIRT. AND TONIGHT I FELT LIKE HILLARY HERSELF. IT WAS LIKE I WAS HILLARY POSTING ON DAILYKOOKS. YOU HONESTLY TREATED ME LIKE SHIT. HILLARY CLINTON DOES NOT SUPPORT THE BRAIN-DEAD. SHE SUPPORTS FREE THINKERS. DONT ATTEMPT TO PUSH SOMEONE OFF THE BLOCK WHO DOESNT AGREE WITH EVERY IOTA OF WHAT YOU WANT.

I JUST LOVE HILLARY, AND I PROBABLY AM HER MOST ARDENT SUPPORTER. THEREFORE I WILL DO WHAT SHE SAYS AND VOTE OBAMA.

  229. Someone wrote this on some other pro-hill blog

    is it true??

    Rules Committee Meeting Coming Up..

    ——————————————————————————–

I believe the rules committee is meeting June 29th to fully restore the delegations of Michigan and Florida. Obama didn’t want to do this last time because hillary would have got within 80 delegates. I’m sure they will restore the delegates but it will only be symbolic.

Also it is not Obama’s choice for the v.p. The delegates make that choice.
I don’t necessarily want her as v.p. either. Id’e much prefer her kicking Obama’s ass as Senate Majority Leader, after of course he’s lost the general election.

  230. sonia—-great site!!!

I was mortified by the rbc ruling. Its obvious Dean and Pelosi had it in for HIllary since day one.

  231. Sonia, it wouldn’t surprise me. The plan was to fully restore the delegations, when it would no longer matter. They just didn’t want to give Hillary any more delegates. It is purely symbolic. Another sign of the corruption, and following the rulz, only when, it benefits BO.

Forget about Senate Majority Leader. Don’t you think, Harry Reid might have something to say about that?

I told her people were upset and angry because of the way the media and the DNC had treated her. She said, the DNC didn’t do anything, it was the Media. I told her just like the DNC — blame everybody else except who is to blame.

I support your efforts to support Hillary in whatever way you feel appropriate. I just got hurt when you accused me of being a troll. But its water over the damn. Right now you should do what you feel is right, and so will I. God Bless you.

  245. I don’t understand why ALL angry Hillary supporters would not vote for McCain. What is there to gain by writing in Hillary’s name, from a PRACTICAL perspective? Will it make you feel better because you took a principled stand and voted for your 1st choice? I can understand that from an emotional perspective it might be satisfying. But how satisfying will it be if we find out waffles wins Ohio in the general election, for example, by 1,000 votes over McCain, and that Hillary received 50,000 write-in votes, more than enough to have kept waffles from winning? And then what if Ohio happened to be the state whose electoral votes put him over the top and made waffles the President? To me, that would be as bad as what happened in Florida, when Nader received more votes than the difference between Bush and Gore, and cost the Democrats the election.

And I can see that happening too. As in the last general election, there will be very close races in many of the important swing states, and I’d be willing to bet that many will be won or lost by margins smaller than what Hillary will receive as write-in votes. This could essentially cost McCain the election and ensure a waffles presidency. Would you want to be responsible for helping putting waffles in the White House? You’ll have 4 LONG years to regret it if you did.

Furthermore, the Media will undoubtedly be tracking Hillary write-in votes in the general election and be showing them for all the world to see. How badly will you feel if you cost Hillary a chance to run in 2012, if by voting for her as a write-in, you find out that in your state you caused waffles to win? Can you just imagine MSNBC and CNN, with Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, and the rest of the MSM bozos laughing at all of the STUPID Hillary voters for writing her name in? They’re already calling us stupid, uneducated and uninformed as it is… DON’T GIVE THEM THE SATISFACTION. You’ll never be able to forget that feeling, I can promise you that.

Please give this some careful thought in the next few months and then decide PRUDENTLY, not EMOTIONALLY.

Remember, a vote for McCain in November is 2 votes for Hillary in 2012.

  247. Sonia – I’ve said a lot to support Hillary. I think you should know that the Obot infestation at most pro-Hillary sites has been used to drive away and sabotage Hillary supporters and some are likely coordinating with the Obama campaign. If you’re a true Hillary supporter, you’d be concerned too.

I’ll check with Filbertsf and a few others as I just don’t have enough of your history, but I’ve seen enough patterns of how Obots infiltrate pro-Hillary sites and integrate in by starting conversations with other Obots. From my graduate studies when there’re severe inconsistencies in speech patterns, spelling patterns, there’s either a personality disorder or simply no “person” there, just an imitation of one.

From another pro-Hillary site: a warning:

Obots are out in force lately. Not just common trolls, but sock puppets and “false flag” posters who — in violation of every reputable Internet Service Provider’s Terms of Service agreements — impersonate established members of this community in order to disrupt and deceive.

Similar attacks are evident at other sites, and in some cases user names that have no posting history at [several regular pro-Hillary sites] have been adopted from other pro-Hillary sites.

If you observe a comment from any poster, familiar or otherwise, who claims to have seen the light and decided to follow Hillary’s lead to support Obama, or pointing to McCain positions as reasons they must support Obama, please do not respond except if they’re using your username. For the time being, all such posts must be presumed counterfeit.

Dunno about Sandy, but I’ve corresponded with Sonia as well as reading her posts for weeks. Sonia always has positive on topic things and does good research. She gets upset when others start trouble, but she does not start it: it’s just self-defense.

She does a lot of cut and paste of relevant material. Sometimes I think she must be posting through a text message interface, which puts a lot of white space into the posts.

None of this means being a troll! If you read the content, she’s always relevant and fair minded. She’s giving sympathy to Sandy now. I think Sandy is making the wrong decision and should find some other place to post, not h44, but this is a time for comforting each other, not adding to anyone’s pain.

If Hillary asked you to go jump in a lake, would you do it? Think for yourself, don’t let someone else do your thinking for you.

Of course Hillary is not going to ask you to vote for McCain. She’s a Democratic? member of the Senate, and her husband is the only 2-term Democratic? president in my lifetime. But if you want to ever see her as the president, you’ll need to vote for McCain in 2008.

If you want to know how Hillary REALLY feels about waffles versus McCain, I urge you to go to meetbarackobama.com and check out the things Hillary (and other prominent Democrats) have said about waffles and his qualifications BEFORE Hillary was strong-armed into backing waffles.

  258. Voters Give Media Failing Grades in Objectivity for Election 2008

Sunday, June 08, 2008 Email to a FriendAdvertisementJust 17% of voters nationwide believe that most reporters try to offer unbiased coverage of election campaigns. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that four times as many—68%–believe most reporters try to help the candidate that they want to win.

The perception that reporters are advocates rather than observers is held by 82% of Republicans, 56% of Democrats, and 69% of voters not affiliated with either major party. The skepticism about reporters cuts across income, racial, gender, and age barriers.

Ideologically, political liberals give the least pessimistic assessment of reporters, but even 50% of those on the political left see bias. Thirty-three percent (33%) of liberals believe most reporters try to be objective. Moderates, by a 65% to 17% margin, see reporters as advocates, not scribes. Among political conservatives, only 7% see reporters as objective while 83% believe they are biased.

Friday, June 06, 2008 Email to a FriendAdvertisementAs the general election campaign gets started, 41% of voters nationwide say that Barack Obama is too inexperienced to be President while 30% say John McCain is too old. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that 6% of voters

  260. Election 2008: South Carolina Presidential Election
South Carolina: McCain 48% Obama 39%

  261. If Obama is the official nominee in August, I would rather see Hillary as VP for John McCain, than President for 8 years after that. It would be a bi-partisan ticket. Hillary can be an Independent; and she could tone down McCain on how to get the war over, gracefully; and she could work on health insurance……….
One idea was to write 1 of 18 million for HRC[and your state initials] on all your paper money, and post everytime you see one; this would spread the word of our numbers quickly I’ll bet.

  262. If you are going to vote for Obama because Hillary said to, remember her warning which she made when she was free. She told us that she and McCain had passed the security threshhold. That means that a vote for Obama is a risk we may soon regret.

A vote for Obama will mean Bush 3!

  263. levon————-

I take Hillary at face value. I take her at her word. If she says “vote for Obama” I assume she is being sincere. I dont think she is a liar.

But as I said when I first came in here, you are entitled to your own views, and obviously, you are entitled to make your own decisions. I plan on following Hillary’s advice and supporting Obama unless she says differently.

  264. Has anyone else noticed that in the past few weeks Obama’s hair has started turning grey? My guess is that he has stopped dying it for the fall campaign to look a little older and more experienced. Typical politician dyes his hair to look younger in the primaries to get the teeny boopers to drool all over him and stops for the general election to get the parents votes as well.

  265. OK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH…………………

As I stated before, I truly do wish you all well. If you can make Hillary the 44th president, go for it!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! But, if you all degrade into a hate site, I want no part of it.

I can’t help recalling ADMIN’s warning about “naderites and pinos” last year. I urge you all not to become one. If you vote for Mcain over Obama, you are no better than a “naderite” or “pino” by the definition of this site.

But if you can make Hillary the 44th president, despite all odds, I salute your efforts. On that note I am leaving and not coming back. Right now I will just follow what Hillary says. She says support Obama. Those are the marching orders. That is what I will do until she says differently.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!! Your heart is in the right place.

    Sandy

  266. If you really want to see a hate site go to ANY OBAMA blogs, forums or sites. That is unadulterated hate and I will never vote for him and I do not care who says that I should!

  267. DIJA!!!!!

Your ruined my final goodbye because I hadn’t read your post to me!!!!!!!!! Oh well, one more goodbye, just for you.

I admire your enthusiasm. I admire your sticking up for Hillary. She has been given the shaft in this election. There is no question about that. You are angry. I am angry.

I am not going to go againt Hillary’s emphatic wishes. If Hillary says tomorrow “Lets go all the way to Denver” I sure will. But the reality is this: Hillary said “we must support Barrack Obama.” That is what she said. That is what I will do, unless she says otherwise.

However, I am not her to undermine any efforts you have at all. In my prayers I hope you can make Hillary the 44th president. And I commend you for your efforts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somehow, we all got off on the wrong foot tonight. But in any case, keep up the good fight and GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is sincere. I really mean it.

    Thank you,
    Sandy

  268. Another contender for the Troll bloopers Hall of Shame:

“yes sonya i am gay and so is my life partner.”

    dingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingdingding!

  269. We all get that Hillary is simply going through the motions. For political viability, she was forced to say that she supported Obama! There is no way that she actually wants us to vote for someone that cheated her out of the nomination. She’s stalling for time, waiting for the republicans drop whatever evidence they may have. She HAS NOT TRULY embraced him!

  270. warehouse553, it is not whether hillary want us to vote bho or not. it is Barack obama who we can not trust to be Commander in Chief.

  271. If the plan is, or becomes, to throw the election to McCain by getting Hillary voters to vote for him, then this thing is very doable. That is, if we can believe political commentators on TV.

One said if McCain got 10% of her votes, he would beat Obama. Another said it would take only 5%. 10% would be less than two million votes, while 5% would be less than one million. There may be more than that many already moving in that direction. Surely there are that many inclined to do so. That assumes those voters would not just stay home, but would vote for McCain.

I will find it hard to vote for a Republican, but it will be easier if I merely consider it as a vote against Obama. I’m willing to make that sacrifice if it can keep him out of the White House. Keeping him out is good for the country. It’s the patriotic thing to do. lol

    NObama in NOvember!

  272. Look atcha.

It only took 2 days for hillaryis44.com to totally tear itself apart.

Here’s something that you gotta learn: don’t come on the “Hillary for 44th President of the US of A Website” and expect that people are going to want to vote for Uhhbama. If you do and you meet with opposition, don’t continue to fight with everyone. First of all, they don’t care and secondly this isn’t the right place.

And if someone seems to be trolling, remember that trolls die from lack of attention.

Sandy, you seem nice but it is too soon to start picking scabs and opening wounds. None of us want to support Obama because he is a soup sandwich. Ate the f@ck up or whatever you want to call him.

He is going to be running around acting like the king and it is up to us to remind everyone that this is the same candidate that has used race-baiting and jack-asserie to limp across the finish line. People are going to be talking about some titanic battle that he had with Hillary. Like he defeated a monster instead of pulling the wool over the eyes of all who support him.

Any other candidate in history would have been thrown out of the running for one of Obama’s scandals. The lieing about NAFTA, or anything outta Trinity United.

Besides the Quds force vote that he tried to turn into a reason why Hillary had bad judgement (Like calling an organization that sells bombs to insurgents a “terrorist” organization is a bad call–what a jackass), my personal favorite claim is his speech in 2002 against the war. He gave a SPEECH while others were demonstrating and marching and camping out on the Bush compound and trying to show disapproval. Afterward he did nothing to stop the war. He didn’t even vote against one spending bill. Essentially, he got lucky that the early days of the invasion went poorly. He got to trade the lives of US servicemen and women for political capital. What a hero. Bravely standing up for people who were really trying to show some kind of civil disobediance (giving a speech while others were having tear gas shot at them) and cashing in on the blood of real heroes. My point is that he didn’t DO anything. He just gave a speech and then claimed that he had done something.

I AM going to do something. I volunteered to go back. That’ll make twice for me.

    BHO…

What have you done for America?

The global poverty act is nothing more than wealth redistribution and in effect marxism.

All these programs he is touting add up to more than we can bear as a nation. How are you going to pay for it all?

The answer is that you won’t–you are rubbing us down with analgesic platitudes that you’ll never carry through with. Stuffed, your suit threatens to blow away in the wind if there weren’t so many people crowding around to keep you defended.

    We’ll remember in November, Barack.

  273. I agree with Levon, the only way to insure an Obama defeat is to vote for John McCain. I know its difficult but, he’s dangerous. Terrorist friends and relatives, we can’t take the chance. How could things come to this, a republican being this country’s salvation? I still hope something new will emerge about Obama and his campaign will implode.

In order to make this work, we have to support the democrat downticket to guarantee expanded majority democrat house and senate. If we must have a McCain presidency, lets make sure he is as weak as possible!

  274. OK, I have seen a suggestion of action. I think all detailed planning should be done in private. We have had a few suggestions of names. Keeping it simple works for me.

Let me throw one or two in People’s choice or Voter’s choice. We have had two elections now that have gone against the Popular voters.

OK lets try something in French Le Mode. That means in French the Fashionable People. So that does not quite work. The People’s Party. What about Democracy, or Dems for Democracy (we don’t have that with the SD system). Americana Le Mode. Don’t really know what that means, but to me it would mean American’s the People.

This is what has gone bad here. Twice the people running this Democracy have given the shaft to the people.

I know people on this blog are brillant, so bring on some more ideas as these are lame.

  275. Probably this is the first time difference of opinion appeared loudly on this site.
I love the sensitivity and determination of everyone who posted their view today.
What admin tried to illustrate is what Hillary said in her speech (in which she asked us to back him). What several staff said is even “if Hillary endorsed BO that is her business not ours. Our business was to get her elected president – we were some how robbed”
Democrats have made a serious mistake by not getting her nominated; it is very probable they will wait another four years to try their luck of taking over from the Republicans.

  276. I agree, but the question is will the Demcratic Organization Survive. They need a win, and they need money. Right now they are having a problem funding the Convention.

A candidate, after he is anointed who does not get a bump just might be in trouble.

The voters know who made this decision.

  277. Agreed the Democratic Party needs a win to survive. They could have assured one, but chose not to do that. There is still a chance if the stuff on Barack Obama keeps coming out. However, people seem to have ignored it so far. But it would be sweet if people wised up in time to nominate Hillary. I’m not going to wait for that to happen though.

I hope our current plans to bring about a loss by BHO works! I believe it can.

  278. If the Democratic party was smart they would have looked at this and said , we can get 16 years out of this.

Instead they have completely ignored their members, and tried to shove someone down the voters throats.

Now is it questionable if they will get 4. O has spend 3-4 times the money to convince people he is the one, and has been beaten soundly in a number of states, and only done well in the Red states.

Yet the leadership says drink the Kool aid, as you WILL vote the way we want you to.

Personnelly I have never Drank Kook Aid. I prefer voting record and experience.

  279. Sherm Kader, democratic party is a fractured party right now. whoever gets the nominee, it will be very hard to unite the party. Hillary will be strong in 20012. let’s make sure BHO not have a chance in 2008.

  280. meiyingsu, while the party is fractured now, I believe Hillary would still win. First, she is the stronger candidate. Second, more of BHO’s voters said they would vote for Hillary if she is the nominee. Third, the GOP is having it’s own problems.

The chances of the SD’s waking up before August is such a long shot that I know I shouldn’t hope for it, but I will anyway. Meanwhile we have to get to work on stopping BHO. I’m sure work on that has already begun.

  281. neetabug

Your posting yesterday morning made me cry. I can actually feel your despair. I know how hard you have worked; in my mind’s eye, I can still see you holding up a big Hillary sign and being so pleased when drivers honked at you, some probably giving you a thumbs up too, I’ll bet.

I remember how excited you were, and so pumped. I am sorry for all of us who feel so deflated. We will get that positive feeling back I think. Just look how poorly BO is doing in the polls already, and that is w/out any new bad news about him, his family or his associates.

I can’t help but think there is no way to save his election, and that the DNC is already starting to feel buyer’s remorse. We can help by continuing to send little bits of money to our girl when we can (remember when we bombed her that one month and she raised almost $35 million? Little bits over a few months would have the same effect) to help her pay off her debt. We can educate everyone we talk to about BO and his non-record, his no-plans or changing positions that passes for a platform.

In 2 years, we will all be working on her campaign again because JonnyMac is a one-termer. so chin up girlfriend.

  282. Wow, I’m just checking in from Friday and I see that alot of opinions have been expressed and emotions are running high.

For what it is worth, I can’t support Obama and the fact that he went golfing when Hillary was giving her speech doesn’t sit well with me.

I really, truly can’t support him. Does anyone have Claire mcCaskill’s email. I’d like to send her a note.

  283. Add me to the growing list of those, who cannot and will not support BHO. He is a danger to our country.

  284. Hi All!

Maybe as I will not be directly affected after NOvember it is easy for me to say. But I would truly vote MC Cain if I could expect that his policies would not affect me to hard.

The reason is that the Democratic Party needs changes in the power structure. Until this primary year I thought the US were the best role model of democracy (well forgetting about Florida 2000).

BUt what I have seen from this democratic party is worse than any banana republic. There is no such confusion within the Republican Party. Also the way they forced Delegates to BO especially like in Michigan, but also with the caucuses was a process in which I could not find anything democratic.

The party will hopefully change if they experience a real Waterloo in November. They have to lose by a landslide so that other democrats (call them Clinton democrats) can regain power over the defeated Deans, Brasills, Pelosies etc. and the Hillaryis45.

But I truly understand the people who support any democratic candidate if they fear negative direct economic or social effects from a McCain Presidency.

  285. I think we can all agree that our main task is to try our darnest to make Hillary 45. She will do what she needs to in order to keep the doors open in the Democratic Party until next time. We should respect her wisdom. She is nobody’s fool and she knows Obama can not win. She will do the obligatory and not much more. Obama will lose this election unless Hillary is the VP and I personally think the odds of that happening are about the same as her getting the nomination in Denver (always a chance but highly unlikely). So admin is on target for our larger goal. It is what to do in the meantime that is accenting our differences.

For myself as previously stated, I will turn into a Democrat for McCain for now. If McCain can bring his Party back into the mainstream of American politics and if the Democrats remain the Party of the neo-libs, high tech young brownshirts, and the far left, the GOP will definitely look appealing to mainstream Americans like me. If after the Democrats lose in November, they engage in some soul searching, repent of their sins, do penance (like kick a few bums out of the leadership), and move back to the center, OK there may be a place for many of us here.

I will not vote for Obama and not throw my vote away either. If Obama is the nominee, no matter who occupies the number two slot, the main goal is keep him out of the White House. This is a must do. To do so as either a Democrat or Republican does not matter as much.

Someday Hillary Clinton will be President, and the next step in helping her get there is to help defeat Barak Hussein Obama.

  286. Today’s straw poll

    McCain 53%
    Obama 47%

I guess there was a bump alright, but in the wrong direction. Of course the O people have nto had a chance to fix that poll yet.

  287. I’ve supportted and worked for Hillary for the last year, and share the frustration and sadness that comes with knowing that the best-by far-potential president will not reach that goal this year. Right now i can’t see myself votinhg for Obama, but hosnestly -I respoct Hillary’s views on this.

Now to my main point –this is only my second post here, and I’m surely naive when it comes to the blogisphere, but I’m really frustrated at the amount of energy spent by some accusing others of being trolls. I’m sure just saying this will probabaly but me on the troll list, but it bothers me when folks who have the truth on their side feel the need to repress opposing views. Let the truth win out.

  288. To those Democrats that have forgotten Country before Party.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
    one Nation under God, indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.

    Now what does that mean:

I Promise to be faithful and true (Promise my loyalty)

to the emblem that stands for and represents
all 50 states, each of them individual, and individually represented on the flag

yet formed into a UNION of one Nation.

And I also pledge my loyalty to the Government that is itself a Republic, a form of government where the PEOPLE are sovereign,

this government also being represented by the Flag to which I promise loyalty.

These 50 individual states are united as a single Republic under the Divine providence of God, “our most powerful resource” (according to the words of President Eisenhower)

and can not be separated. (This part of the original version of the pledge was written just 50 years after the beginning of the Civil War and demonstrates the unity sought in the years after that divisive period in our history)

The people of this Nation being afforded the freedom to pursue “life, liberty, and happiness”,

And each person entitled to be treated justly, fairly, and according to proper law and principle,

And these principles afforded to EVERY AMERICAN, regardless of race, religion, color, creed, or any other criteria. Just as the flag represents 50 individual states that can not be divided or separated, this Nation represents millions of people who can not be separated or divided

    http://www.homeofheroes.com/hallofheroes/1st_floor/flag/1bfc_pledge.html

  289. The Important words were

THIS NATION REPRESENTS MILLIONS OF PEOPLE

To represent the people, you need to know what they want. You should gage that by their votes.

SDs what votes are you looking at (Campaign Promises & Money). This is not a smoked filled back room. We all see your votes.

I want to know what those promises were and how much money your got. I had to declare mine, and now you need to declare yours, especially if your vote is superseding my vote.

  290. As I read these blogs since Saturday’s speech from Hillary, the more I realize the hate of the Obama campaign. I do believe in my heart that Hillary was forced to back Obama. There is something going on here that is very senister. I can’t put my finger on it, but I will not vote for Obama, I pray that Hillary doesn’t get or want the VP slot. I not sure if it would be OK if she were in the cabinet.
I am just so upset at the turn of events I don’t know what do to. I have spent hours on here blogging/sending money that I really didn’t have to just be thrown under the bus by the DNC.For the life of me I can’t understand how they just gave Obama the nomination. He did not beat Hillary, he is not the real nominee, I can’t even watch the news now. I watched a little local TV and they are mentioning us the hillary supporters and how we are going to cross over for McCain. The 24 hr news has not mentioned Hillary since Saturday.

  291. confloyd: I feel your pain. The sinister thing, is takeover of the DNC, by the left-wing part of the party, and outster of the more moderate part of the DNC. The liberal elite has done this. They want to get rid of the Clintons. BO has very questionalble friendships and allies, which are very disturbing. I also, believe he has Marxist leanings ie Ayers, Wright, and his childhood mentor.

  292. basil—-the only troll here is you. I am sure Hillary would not appreciate that huge chip on your shoulder. You got a problem with gay people? Hillary doesn’t. Maybe you should fuck yourself!

I think all these are too fancy, too puzzling. What about ‘Democratic Base’ or ‘Base Democrats’ or something like that?

  294. birdgal, Its nice to see that I am not the only one that feels something is truly wrong with Obama. It looks as if Admin wants us to write in Hillary’s name, but I think that would be a vote for Obama? I just cant vote for him, he is antisemitic and as a Christian I will not be able to do it.
I read over at noquarter about the latest stuff about Jews on his website. I can’t believe his campaign doesn’t know this stuff is getting put on there. His campaign keeps stuff scrubbed off the internet, and we are supposed to believe that he doesn’t know what is going on on his own website?
It’s been really sad the last few days, I hurt my back at work last week and have been bed bound for several days so its harder when you have nothing to do all day.

  295. I will NEVER support bambi.

Hillary Clinton is an American Hero and a treasure.
My respect and admiration for her is deep.

However I part company with the Democratic Party.

Their manipulation of the Michigan vote is criminal.
    Outright theft.

The manipulation of perception by MSM is blatant and unapologetic.

Lastly, if a candidate can lie about their Pastor or church, they will lie about anything and everything.

  296. Obama will go down hard in this election. He will end up on the lowest rung of the Democratic Party ladder wondering why he’s become the guy no one wants to associate with. He will wonder why no one calls him or invites him on the cable shows to thrill us all with his political wisdom. His name will come up only in conversations of the great losers and has-been’s of all time. Has anyone heard from Dukakis lately? I didn’t think so. Obama, Dukakis = same thing.

When the name Obama is mentioned in public men, women and even small children will let out a loud groan and say, “God, what a loser!”

Years from now the “Obama and the “Barack” will become verbs used to describe a complete and total fuck-up. “Man, I really Barack’d that up but good!” or “Our team was way ahead then we pulled the biggest Obama in history and lost the series!” Obama, Big Brown = same thing.

“Dad always used to say the only causes worth fighting for were the lost causes.” -Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

Hillary 20012 Hell Yeah! She’s rested and ready to run!

  297. I have listened to and read Hillary’s speech a few times now. I think there was something for everyone in it. She towed the party line and endorsed Obama while only suspending her candidacy. However she did so with a few warnings… warnings to protect her supporters… universal healthcare…count the votes…etc… Given her speeches from the very beginning, I do not believe that she is expecting anyone to suddenly switch allegiances no matter what she had to say up front. Hillary Clinton is a superwoman! What she has done in the last many months has galvanized a new movement, revealed the terrible shortcomings of both the media and the DNC.

This is just my opinion, so I hope I haven’t offended anyone.

  298. glad to see everyone here strong!!!

I’ve said NO to waffles from the get go. He and his wanna be JackieO wife cannot be allowed to occupy the White House.

His flip flopping, his inexperience and his associations with antiwhite, antiAmerican people, amont them known terrorists should simply be enough for people to stay away from him.

He is a loser and no vote from my 13 member family will be going on his ballot

  299. We can never support Obama as he is a racist and has destroyed everything Bill and Hillary worked so hard for. Hillary was forced into that speech and already articles today saying she will be blamed if he loses. We must ensure not only his defeat, but that Hillary remain viable for 2012. No true democrat would vote for Obama as he is an empty suit and laughs at Hillary, Bill and us.

  300. As I stated yesterday in more than one post, EVERYONE needs to take several deep breaths and keep a cool head.

Do not decide TODAY what you are going to do in November.

Our goal is and always has been to promote HRC and propel her to the Presidency.

It still is. We shall take the “Road Less Travelled” in order to make that happen.

But make it happen we will. We may take several detours that we don’t even know about yet. Undoubtedly, there will be some roadblocks unforseen as we take this unchartered journey.

Well, we’re all adventurous, correct? Then, let’s think of this as an huge, monstrous episode of SURVIVOR.
Trolls will be “voted off” by ignoring, until they shrivel up and cease to exist.

We will remain positive under unbelievable assault and ridicule. We will amaze the experts who are astonished that the true grit and iron steel of HRC has somehow transferred to her ardent supporters.

We will be SMART ENOUGH to interpret subtle and sometimes not-so-subtle information we acquire and glean from this site – our lifeblood – as well as other sources.

But we WILL NOT, WILL NOT MAKE HASTY DECISIONS THAT WE ARE TOO PROUD TO CHANGE COME AUGUST AND NOVEMBER.

Through all the speeches and actions conveyed by HRC, one thing stands out above all the rest. She has said to her millions of supporters repeatedly, “If you stand with me, I’ll stand for you.” That hasn’t changed.

WE WILL STAND FOR HER. NOT OBAMA. REPEAT – WE WILL STAND FOR HER. NOT OBAMA.

Now, that isn’t so hard, is it? Let each day bring us more and more assurance as WE REITERATE TO EVERY PERSON WE ENCOUNTER FACE-TO-FACE OR OVER THE BLOGOSPHERE THAT WE WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER VOTE FOR OBAMA.

    PERIOD.

  301. Good Morning Hill Fans!!!

yes we have many trolls amongst us here and everywhere, i plan to ignore them from now on as they only have 2 purposes
    in life

    1. distract distract distract & 2. persuade persuade persuade

both are done by any measure available and often by tag teaming… hill44 is no stranger to these tactics and we are far more intelligent a group to fall for this attack. I suggest putting in our troll ear plugs and blinders on and keep ourselves focused

even though as they say a day in politics is like a year….we really do not have a year……SO…Its time for us to get to work! 😀

  302. JanH, the speech we posted is worth reading – more than this past Saturday’s speech. There seems to be a lot of confusion about what we wrote. Once again, the speech we posted is NOT the Saturday speech.

As to Big Media and the DNC, prepare to be truly revolted. The NYTimes today has an editorial, today, not earlier, today, to bemoan the primary process. After attacking Hillary and us, the NYTimes dares lecture us.

The NYTimes completely fails to note that there are rules and Obama violated them. The rules state that “uncommitted” is a candidate and the votes for “uncommitted” should be respected as if “uncommitted” were an actual person. The rules call for a 50% penalty for violators. The rules call for those who violated the “no campaigning in Florida and Michigan” ban to lose all delegates. Obama campaigned in Florida with TV ads and arguably had his supporters and website ask Michigan voters to vote “uncommitted”. The rules committee violated the rules. The NYTimes remained silent.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/08/opinion/08sun1.html?_r=1&ref=opinion&pagewanted=print&oref=slogin

The strange ritual of the Iowa caucuses, the fight over the Michigan and Florida delegations, the battle over the superdelegates — it has been a colorful nominating season, but not the most democratic one. It takes nothing away from the achievements of Barack Obama and John McCain to take note that the system for choosing the parties’ nominees is seriously flawed.

The Senate is planning hearings on the subject, and both parties are talking about reform. We hope a better system will be in place by 2012.

A guiding principle behind American democracy is “one person, one vote.” All voters should have an equal opportunity, regardless of who they are or where they live, to affect the outcome. The process should be transparent, the ballot should be secret, and there should be no unnecessary barriers to voting.

Tested against these principles, both parties’ systems fall short. Among the most troubling elements:

Caucuses. These are often promoted as pure small-town democracy. But participants generally have to commit themselves for hours, a sizable burden on the right to vote, especially for people who care for children or sick relatives. There is no absentee voting, so caucuses disenfranchise voters who have conflicting work schedules; who are out of town, including in the military; or who are too sick to travel to the caucus site.

The ballot is not secret, which intimidates some voters into staying away or not expressing their true choices. Vote totals are not reported. The parties should abandon caucuses and switch entirely to primaries.

The schedule. More voters than usual had a chance to play a role this year because the Democratic race was so close. Still, some voters — notably those in Iowa and New Hampshire — had an outsized influence, and had candidates doting on them, while other states were afterthoughts. The best solution would be to divide the states into groups, by region or another method, and have the groups vote in a sequence that changes every four years.

The Republicans are considering a rotating schedule, known as the “Ohio Plan,” which could be adopted at this year’s convention. It is a step in the right direction. There are also bills in Congress to create rotating primaries. The goal should be a system in which voters in all states have an equal chance to go first.

Allocating delegates. The Republicans have winner-take-all contests in some states and some Congressional districts. That means a candidate can win nearly 50 percent of the vote and receive no delegates. The Democratic rules are, in their own way, poorly designed to translate votes into delegates. Both parties’ rules should be rewritten to ensure that the delegates candidates receive in a state reflect their percentage of the vote.

Superdelegates. Nearly 20 percent of the Democratic delegates are so-called superdelegates. The party created these unelected delegates to give elected officials and party insiders a greater say in the nomination process. If superdelegates ratify the choice made by the elected delegates, they are unnecessary. If they overrule that choice, their influence is undemocratic. As Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa and others have recommended, superdelegates should be eliminated.

There are other issues to consider. The Democrats, in particular, should have clear rules for how states will be punished if they violate scheduling rules — as Michigan and Florida did this year — so the party does not end up making up new rules in the middle of the campaign.

Dianne Feinstein, the chairman of the Senate rules committee, which has jurisdiction over elections, says she wants to hold hearings next month on rotating primaries and related issues. Ideally, the parties would fix the process themselves, but insiders do not always have the interests of ordinary voters at heart. Whoever takes action, the goal should be a new and improved nominating process that reflects the will of the people.

  303. I will do as I have ALWAYS done, I will vote for who I think can best run this country, given my choices.

For me, the decision is a no brainer.

Oops, I meant to differentiate from her speech given on Saturday and the one you posted. Sorry about that. Both are from her heart and amazing in of themselves!

I pray that Hillary doesn’t get or want the VP slot. I not sure if it would be OK if she were in the cabinet.

Me too! That’s what worries me the most: that she might take VP and put him over and then be stuck with propping him up for four or eight years!

I’ll work HARDER against Obama if she is on his ticket!

    I’ve started a petition

    h t t p : / / http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/hillarynovp — for Hillary supporters who do not want her trapped ironing Obama’s shirt

  306. admin, I will always respect and appreciate all of your hard work, but I won’t write-in Hillary’s name because we’ve already seen the way Obama is capable of gaming the system. If we all en masse write-in her name, the Obama camp will only tie those votes up in red tape and somehow or another get them counted to him. I mean, the guy got delegates in Michigan and his name wasn’t even on the ballot. I don’t trust that a write-in campaign will work. Besides, there are too many states in which it won’t count for a thing and in others where it’s not even an option. Then what?

  307. Someone upthread said they called the DNC and someone told this person they are scared! May I ask of what? What in the world could the DNC be scared of? THey fixed the election, put out to pasture the only realy candidate they had, so why now are they scared? Did they finally read and believe all the crap(baggage) that Obama has with him? They should! I was reading over at REd State and believe you me they all think Obama is a communist! They had posted the pic of Obama with his face in red and they were making fun of the pic, saying” the red fits him well”. I think so too, pretty scarey when we agree with the republicans, maybe the DNC is believing what the republicans are now saying about their beloved Obama?

  308. OMG, I’m listening to Rush replaying Obama at Bristol, VA….why hasn’t the MSM make a big deal of him messing up like this.

He is an empty suite. When he is off the teleprompter, he is lost…..’it will cost about…hold on…it will cost about…hold up, I can’t hear myself but I’m glad u’re fired up though..uh…’

He goes on and messes up using ‘inhalator’ rather than ‘inhaler’ and using ‘breathalyzer’t hat has nothing to do with asthma. Then he makes the excuse, ‘I haven’t had much sleep in 48hrs’.

    What a mess!

  309. I will not change my mind about BO. I am still waiting on an apology from him about what his wife has said about BC’s eyes, her inability to support a Hillary Presidency because of her tone. I am still waiting for him to apologize for his nasty set of bloggers as well as his apparent dislike for her.
I am also waiting for an invitation from him for us to vote for him, we still haven’t recieved anything from him. It seems as if his campaign can do without our votes, so be it, we won’t support anyone that doesn’t have the common decency to ask us for our support!
If he does do all these things, I still can’t vote for someone that is antiamerican.

I agree! And whatever research we do now about different states’ rules, may not still be true in November. Or whatever the rule really is, Obama’s people will get into the local offices and sabotage the vote count.

I think the only tamper-proof votes will be those for McCain.

But it’s too early to worry about the details. Unless a person lives in a swing state and the polls are very close, it won’t matter anyway — except to give a really big popular vote margin on Obama’s defeat!

  311. Thanks again ADMIN for everthing you do. For keeping this site up and running. For having a plan. For giving us information to digest. For keeping the faith in us as road warriors for HRC. Chariots of Fire.

Also, off topic but important. No offense to any bloggers, but just checked my computer and is virus-free. Will not be clicking onto any threads off posters here, except ADMIN due to trolls who may attempt to spread viruses. As sick as this sounds coming from a nurse, a good analogy is STD’s. I like that “Change we Can’t Afford”. Like I said the GOP is good. O has not layed out where he will get money for the programs he says he want to do. HRC always told where the money would come from.

We need to start looking at where the SDs are getting donations from. This is public information.

  314. Admin: Thank you for the information. Yes, the DNC broke their own rules, and contributed to the chaos generated during this primary season. I am hoping, that the Senate Rules Committee can make some meaningful changes.

Caucuses are undemocratic, but wouldn’t changes have to occur at the state level?

The proportional or affirmative action system has to go. What a minefield, and it is also, undemocratic. one vote/one person. No group is more important than another.

Superdelegates have to go. This is not only undemocratic, but leaves more room for corrupting influences, as this primary season has shown us. They can be intimidated, bought off, and bullied into submission. Again, undemocratic.

What about an oversight committee or organization, so that the rules cannot be changed mid-stream?

Sorry I don’t have it. Just wanted to say, I loathe her.Blech

And it would be a cold day in hell before I voted for Oblahma

    double Blech

  316. I live in Texas Sugar and it will go for McCain, it would have gone to Hillary but now its McCain. We all do know that McCain is a war hero and a true american, we do not know this about Obama, there are many unanswered questions with this man, and I am not willing to put my country in jeopardy just to elect the first black man. Electing a black man would be something I would have wanted to do, but not like this, not him being shoved down our throats and bullied into voting for him.
The jew thing scares the hell out of me. I don’t like the fact that he is supported by the most devisive sectors in our society. Where and why did the DNC let him run and to support him like they did is reprehensible!

  317. As for the NYT editorial about ‘reforming’ the primary process — that’s another reason Obama should not be president in 2009!

That’s just what the FL GOP did in 2000. They gamed and disrupted the recount process — then used that as as an excuse to ‘reform’ the process by putting in new machines that didn’t allow any recounts at all!

If some sort of ‘reform’ is done with Obama and Brazile in power — then they will just stack things even further in their favor!

Getting rid of superdelegates is another step in their plan. Superdelegates are allowed to use their own common sense after all the information is in. So they are harder to ‘game’ than the mechanical things such as cauuses and popular vote.

It’s too bad the Supers went the wrong way this time, but it IS their job to provide a clear winning margin, and that’s what they did. (And they CAN change their minds back again at the convention, if Obama is in jail by then!)

  318. Laney, I agree Claire must be defeated as soon as possible. I think she has a crush on him. All the pics I see with her looking at him, looks like a school girl crush to me.

  319. confloyd, John Kerry will be the first to go. He is going to have a primary in Sempt.. let’s see what will happen in that primary.

  320. The so called Democratic party must feel pain and suffer

for what they have done. A write in will not accomplish that

  321. By all means, the entire system needs to be overhauled. Like the idea of rotating regions, so that no one area gets to set the tone each and every time. Caucuses must be OUTLAWED. Period. Superdelegates may have been able to vote in the 80’s in a kinder and gentler era when more politicians had a conscience, but as birdgal stated, we see the corruption that has brought into play. And the SD fallout will continue to be played out when those turncoats to HRC meet their own fates for “selling out.” They will go for all changes IMO except the Communist New Democratic Party will stand firm on caucuses. That will be fight to the finish.

  322. Yes, Kerry needs to be the first political casualty. His backers need to see oh what a difference four years can make when you mess with the Old-Principled Democratic Party.

  323. Laney, you are right, DNC has to feel the pain of what they have done. I am so pist at the undemocratic DNC that I could just vomit. How dare they ruin our 1st viable female candidate for POTUS for some BS vendetta. If they are pist at Bill, so be it, why are they taking it out on Hillary? Bill did what he did by himself, without Hillary’s help, why do they penalize her? Can anyone answer that?
I watched FoxNews last night and Bil Kristol was smarting off saying the “long national nightmare is almost over with the defeat of the Clintons”. I guess Mr Kristol has never made a mistake in his life that he can throw rocks at Bill Clinton. He was sounding like he was crystal clean white. Yeah right, ask Newt what he was doing when he was painting Bill C. as a horrible person?

  324. Keep seeing Webb popping up everywhere. Appeals to many because Republican-turned-Democrat and veteran. Still, an afront to women because of the dismissal of women’s importance in treatment of HRC and not offering equal vote-getter HRC the VP slot. But even if she doesn’t want and appears as if she does, that’s another slap in the face to HRC and all her supporters. So when he disses her yet again, it will drive away her supporters who may not have wanted her to be VP anyway – but it’s the principle of the thing, again. Diss, Diss, Diss. Huge backlash awaits voting booths if we stay strong and dedicated.

Right. This primary has shown us WHY the Democrats haven’t won the presidency in 60 years! The DNC insists on nominating latte losers, even when offered a proven winner.

Hillary has proved that the Dem base (‘Reagan Democrats’) WILL come out again, when there’s a candidate who speaks to their issues. It’s not just about Hillary for two terms. It’s about throwing out the parasites in the DNC, so we’ll have the good old FDR/Truman Democratic party back again even after the Clintons have long retired!

Well, boys, you’ve really gone and done it this time. You managed to spew vile sexist comments at a shockingly unprecedented level. With the charge being led by the media, you injected your sexist hatred into every nook and cranny of this election process. Congratulations! Great work! The so-called journalists, the has beens of the DNC and the boys who held up signs that said “Iron My Shirt” and rudely interrupted political rallies have done it! We’re very grateful to you, we women are. You’ll never know how much.

We’re grateful because you have started women talking with each other in a way we haven’t talked in years. We are talking like we have haven’t talked since the suffrage movement and since we had leaders like Susan B. Anthony or Alice Paul. We are talking like we haven’t talked since the National Organization of Women was born. We are talking like we haven’t talked since our mothers told us we could be whatever we wanted to be, even President of the United States. By the way, the dialogue and the support has been tremendous. We appreciate your help in the matter.

So, thanks again, boys. This has been a long time coming. Women needed to start talking again. The talk is loud and will resonate for years to come. If you ever grow up into men, don’t come knocking at our doors. They won’t open. Your purpose in life has been served. You have managed to breathe new life into the Women’s Movement in this country.

Hillary can still take this all the way to the Democratic Convention if she needs to. No matter who emerges the winner, though, the real loser in this Democratic Party debacle will be the boys who tried to run her off, and the girls who fell in line behind them. The real women AND the real men who are now standing together, newly aligned against sexism, will be the winners

    Ladies–we’ll be talking soon.

Because he’s baaaack. Again. Question: Which Pfleger will come back and reassume his leadership position in the Catholic Church?

The Hillary-mimicking, Vanilla Ice-prancing, Jeremiah Wright-impersonating reverend who has attracted a cult of supporters over two decades?

“Senator Obama is minimizing his association with Rashid Khalidi…former member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization…”Here’s the meat of the Obama-Khalidi story, as reported in the investigative piece by Sean Hannity, which is part of his “The Real Barack Obama” series:

Obama was asked recently in a forum with Jewish voters in Florida about his relationship with Palestinian activist Rashid Khalidi. Khalidi, an outspoken critic of the US policy in Israel, was an employee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization “at a time when that was a designated terrorist organization,” according to Daniel Pipes of the Middle East Forum.

Obama responded that he knew Khalidi because they both taught at the University of Chicago and Khalidi’s kids attended the same private “lab” school as Obama’s daughters. Obama stressed that Khalidi is “not one of my foreign policy advisers.”

Doesn’t this shrug-off ring a bell? Remember how Obama insisted that unrepentant terrorist William Ayres was just a “guy who lives in the neighborhood” and how he conveniently declared that “this isn’t the Tony Rezko I knew” as soon as Rezko was convicted on 16 counts of corruption?

Obama is lying about the extent of his relationship with Khalidi. The Woods Fund, which Obama co-chaired with Weather Underground pal Bill Ayres, approved grants totaling $70,000 in 2000-2001 to Khalidi’s organization, the Arab American Action Network. And in 2000, Khalidi held a fundraiser for Obama. In Pipes’ words:

“The financial relationship between Khalidi and Obama is important because it points to their relationship not just being social and intellectual but having a deeper base, that they are people who are working together towards the same end.”

As reported in an April L.A. Times article cited by Pipes entitled Allies of Palestinians see a friend in Barack Obama the Obamas hosted a “lavish farewell dinner” for Khalidi and his wife as they headed to Columbia University in 2003:

A special tribute came from Khalidi’s friend and frequent dinner companion, the young state Sen. Barack Obama. Speaking to the crowd, Obama reminisced about meals prepared by Khalidi’s wife, Mona, and conversations that had challenged his thinking.

His many talks with the Khalidis, Obama said, had been “consistent reminders to me of my own blind spots and my own biases. . . . It’s for that reason that I’m hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation — a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid’s dinner table,” but around “this entire world.”

    ~snip~

At Khalidi’s 2003 farewell party…a young Palestinian American recited a poem accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticizing U.S. support of Israel. If Palestinians cannot secure their own land, she said, “then you will never see a day of peace.”

    (emphasis added.)

In an opinion piece called Palestine: Liberation Deferred published in The Nation in May, Khalidi referred to the “Palestinian question” as a “running sore,” a characterization which Barack Obama channeled shortly thereafter in an interview with The Atlantic, in which he responded to a question about whether “Israel is a drag on America’s reputation overseas” by saying:

“No… But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.”

Back to that synagogue in South Florida….Obama with a straight face said:

“….he’s not one of my advisers, he’s not one of my foreign policy people…his kids went to the lab school where my kids go…”

Barack has some explaining to do to the Jewish community, and to all Americans concerned about what an Obama Administration’s Middle East policy would entail. The voters are entitled to some straight answers.

Note: I have been unable to ascertain the date of Hannity’s broadcast; if anyone has that information please send it.

  334. Hell NObama.

A Democratic vote for McCain 2008 is 2 votes for Hillary 2012. It takes one vote away from Nobama and gives one to McCain.

Don’t let a Hillary write-in vote be the Nader vote of 2000. Remember 2000? Nader’s vote total would have made Gore our president that year. Instead Bush won, and as they say the rest is history.

This year’s election will be very close in many important swing states that will decide who our next president will be. How will you feel if you see MSNBC or CNN reporting that the Hillary write-in votes would have beaten NObama if they had gone for McCain? How will it make you feel when you see Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann telling us that Hillary has lost again, and this time her VERY OWN SUPPORTERS CAUSED IT? How will you feel if you cast one of those Hillary write-in votes?

Will you feel principled? Righteous indignation? Vindicated?

Or will you instead feel invisible? Unappreciated? Taken for granted? Used? Manipulated? DUPED?

You’ll have at least 4 years to regret it.

Are you going to let the Democratic party and NObama tell you that your vote, and by extension YOU, are irrelevant; and then HELP THEM PROVE IT IN NOVEMBER?

Remember, a Democratic vote for McCain 2008 is 2 votes for Hillary in 2012.

  335. Does anyone know where the DNC wants to take this party? I am asking as I see one of the black leaders in Congress talking about Nationalizing the Oil/Gas industry! I can understand healthcare, but gimme a break the oil industry. To me, that is all out socialism. I’m also not fond of giving Africa all this money! We have people here in our country that need help, why on earth do we have to help Africa to the extent that Obama wants us to?
Our schools need help, if Oprah wants to build schools in Africa, let her do it. I think she could have built a few new one in New ORleans, what to you all think?

  336. I will vote for McCain, so Hillary can run again in 2012, by that time Obama will be a dim memory and McCain will have gotten 4 years older and out of touch. Hillary will be there for us them, it will not be too late for her to straighten things out.
When we start with the debates the next time, they will not be able to talk about her high negatives. She broke that idea this year! Hillary 2012! 🙂

  337. confloyd, a vote for McCain is a vote for Hillary in 20012. A vote for McCain is a vote against sexism in this primary. A vote is a vote for taking DNC accountable.

  338. I think the lightbulb has finally gone off for me, and I’m sure others have already realized it: the Obama campaign is doomed because of the relentless string of “small” (small only in the eyes of Big Media) stories about Ayers, Trinity, Rashid Khalidi, etc. etc. It’ll be death by 1,000 paper cuts, to invoke an old cliche. Obama’s negatives have been steadily increasing as the campaign wears on, and he has shown no ability to staunch the tide. These are stories that politically, Obama can’t respond to, because (a) so far, they’ve all been undeniably untrue, which is VERY different from the Swift-boat attacks against Kerry, which were sleazy and ginned-up by Republicans by contrast, and (b) if Obama tries to respond to them by explaining himself, it will require Big Media to report on the stories, and (c) if Obama responds to them, it means he can no longer paint himself as a candidate of hope/change, etc., because voters will simply see him as just another politician.

So where does that leave us? Over the next few months, I predict that Obama’s negatives will increase dramatically. What will Obama try to do? Fight fire with fire: he will continue to bombard supporters with daily requests for online donations, to fund his P.R. war against McCain. I don’t think it’s a sustainable strategy, and I think that all the money in the world cannot prop up a fatally-flawed candidate. In six weeks’ time, we’ll start to hear a slow rumble across the blogosphere and then through Big Media that Hillary needs to start warming up on the sideline, because she’s needed…

  339. If Obama was smart, he would stop talking from now until November. The fact that he can’t do that means that his penchant for “foot in the mouth” syndrome is going to happen over and over again.

I’m just going to sit back and watch him self-destruct…with a smile on my face.

  340. If you get a chance got to BooWitch on YouTube and watch the video:

    We’ll Be Waiting For You.

Admin: Please get this to Hillary. I’m still crying my eyes out.

  341. I just hope the RNC is playing their cards correctly, our country hangs in the balance. The gas prices are going up everyday and this is bad news for McCain. I just want the Republicans to get these tapes out so we can for sure get that knock out punch. The longer it takes to get him out, the closer Obama will be to the WH. He scares me, I am worried with the gas prices going up McCain will be taking the heat for it.
I wonder if anyone has figured out that maybe OPEC would want Obama, afterall he is 75% Arab. They may be pushing the oil up during this general election season to knock out MCCain.
I was never a gambler, so I would not be very good at politics. I just know in my heart of hearts that Obama would be bad news for this country!!!

  342. We will actively look for democrats for McCain and do what we must….This is not a tough choice for the true Hillary fan. Obama disrespected women, working class folks, and used race to win al those meaningless caucus states sans a couple with guilty, affluent whites..Remember, Hillary was forced into this by Dean , Pelosi, et al and even her own turned on her….only loyal ones were Lanny Davis and Carville.

I know what you mean, but this can cut two ways. Hillary was smart when she backed the gas-tax holiday, because she knew that gas was going to hit $6 a gallon by election day. Voters are going to be increasingly frustrated, over time. McCain also backed the gas-tax holiday. Obama did not. If I’m McCain, I POUND Obama over this, all summer long.

  344. Waffles also voted for the Bush-Cheney energy bill, which Hillary and McCain voted against. Another good point.

  345. texan4hillary,

It made me sick to my stomach to read those anti-semitic comments.

The hate just keeps coming from the group and it scares me.

  346. dot48, I watched that video, its terrific, it does bring tears to the eyes. We were so close, so close, if it wasn’t for the cheating DNC, she would be facing McCain down right now, instead we have Mr. Pampers. I’m with Jan, I will sit back and watch him self destruct!

  347. From Rasmussen today:

    —-
In December, before the Iowa caucuses launched Obama’s successful campaign for the nomination, the Illinois Senator was seen as politically liberal by 47% of voters nationwide. By April, that number had grown to 54%. Today, 67% see him as politically liberal including 36% who say he is Very Liberal.

  348. JanH, How about his vow to get rid of our nuc’s, and then he wants to be friends with all of our foes! I man lies about everything, how can we be sure he will look after our best interest?
Talking about being misogynistic, the man interviewed one of Michelle’s potential employers! I would never want my husband to do that! I have held a job for over 20 years without my husband sticking his nose in my business. It sure sounds like something middle eastern men would do for their spouses!

  349. And I am going to use my political skills honed by years of working for LBJ through Kerry, but esp. hard for Clinton, to keep Obama out of the White House.

Considering his views, behaviour, and associates, I am hard put to understand why any gay or Jew or even civil right worker would ever vote for Obama.

  350. i recall in 04 everyone said it was ours to lose. the economy was bad. the jobs reports all summer were poor. bush was weak. gas prices were soaring. bush won. why? voters did not trust kerry in key states. history repeats.

  351. confloyd,

One flaw, I could live with. But this man who wants to be king is leaking all over the place and the DNC ship is sinking.

  352. Call me crazy (lurkers and trolls surely will!), but I see ALOT of similarities between Obama and Hitler.

I can live with McCain. 4 years? Yeah, it’s doable.

  353. Just to clarify the above post, I was refering to BHO and AH’s rise to power, not their political philosophies.

Just felt I should make that clear.

  354. If McCan plays nice, he is going to lose…some one must take the gloves off and expose this fraud before he seizes control of or government….WTF was that code hand signal he and his hateful wife made???

  355. I don’t know that much about Hitler’s rise, but there are some similarities. Him and the Communist dictators too. A koolaid youth ideasltic thing … everything is someone else’s fault … we are the good guys so it’s okay to cheat and bully … get rid of the older generation….

At least McCain is a clean alternative (I hope).

  356. Basil: anything you can do I can do better. The latest from Traitor Taylor Marsh. Top that!

  357. Sandy,

Either you have A) no sense of humor B) no idea of what an oxymoronic statement this is:
“yes sonya i am gay and so is my life partner.”
    or,
    C) you are in fact an oxymoron.

If you are gay in stands to reason that your life partner is, too.

    😉

  358. sandy- that is your option as long as you realize that when you vote for obama you ratify all the sexism and racism his campaign has perpetrated against Hillary that gained him the nomination. For me there is no living with that. If you doubt this to back and read Wilentz and Hating Hillary articles. And think about his arrogance insofar as it will lead to a serious abuse of power. That is what I would do. Better to not vote at all than vote for Obama-in my opinion.

  359. lil ole grape Says:
As for the petition asking her not to take the VP slot if it’s offered, I can’t go with that because I am sure she knows better than I what her course of action should be. Hill and Bill have a lot more political savvy than any of us, and I trust them completely.

Her savvy needs correct data to work with — including how many of us oppose such a ticket.

  360. NYCMax Says:
Bless her heart, Hillary did not believe that the Shrub would abuse the power of the AUMF; she probably doesn’t believe that Obama and friends will not do worse damage to the country than the current administration. I disagree with her.

    Oh, good point!!!!

I’ve soemtimes thought that Hillary’s positiveness and ‘imperviusnes’ may include a little of protecting herself from seeing her opponents as evil as they really are.

  361. Berkeley Vox Says:
And the Republicans, who are generally better raw political tacticians than Democrats, can see this fact even more clearly. So, they’re continuing to blast Hillary at every possible turn, figuring that there’s no reason to stop going after her now, in case she’s VP.

I hope so! This might hurt Hillary a little in August, but anything is better than her TAKING VP!

  362. I’ve been struggling with the issue of how I will vote in November and have arrived at a difficult decision. I will vote against Obama and all that he represents by choosing a lesser and hopefully temporary evil; John McCain. As repugnant and heart wrenching as this will be, it will cover my vote and for one of you who chooses to exercise the privilege of writing Senator Clinton in. I hope that there are millions of women like me who can find the strength to do this. Otherwise we are screwed.

I understand why you want to write Sen. Clinton in because I want to myself. But it isn’t enough, it won’t stop Obama and his unitary dictatorship in its tracks. I’m not prepared for a future of oil and uranium wars in both the Middle East and Africa. When I first heard about Obama, I googled, “oil, neocons, Africa” and bingo I learned everything essential that I needed to know. Sen. Obama is the conjoined twin of George Bush. Both of these men represent political ideologies so extreme they merge behind the sheets and share similar corporate interests.

Can you imagine Obama propping up his family in Kenya as the “first family of Africa” with American money and how powerful he would become on two continents? There are trillions of dollars to be made with African oil and a pipeline would be secured with American blood; same as the Middle East. Our country would be once again engaged in unending tribal warfare. Obama’s interest in Africa has nothing to do with humanitarian concerns otherwise he would be taking care of homeless, starving Americans and those dying for lack of health care.

We don’t need to “communicate” or send a “message” to the DNC. We already have; they knew full well they have disenfranchised us, hijacked an election, violated the sacred right of all Americans to vote and they don’t flipping care.

This strategy of sending a clear message via write in) amounts to a difference in how men and women think and act. Women communicate, negotiate and try to arbitrate. Yes, we are able to be more civilized as our right/left brains work together more efficiently. But there are times when a person has to be irresolute.

The Obama money machine will not be as easy to beat as the Republicans think. A point of fact is that McCain can’t even campaign against a man who is all but invisible, and will hide in shadows until his appointment is secured. Forget the debates etc. at which McCain will trounce the imbecile. Obama doesn’t work that way; he operates like a stealth submarine loaded with hidden explosives. We need to make sure that unless the miracle happens (that Obama self implodes and Clinton steps forward) that McCain wins.

I hope my line of reasoning influences other women to choose the tougher more difficult action. We must destroy the rogue DNC and form a new party that is true to democratic values. You cannot negotiate with people who are evil and have stolen the flag for which generations of Americans have died. You cannot send messages to the deaf and symbolic gestures cannot prevail upon thieves.

    McCain 08
