Another Barack Obama General Election Patriotism Advertisment:

Juan Williams repulsed by Obama:

Bill Clinton Knows Hillary Clinton Can Beat John McCain:

Hillary Clinton In The General Election:

BILL CLINTON: I believe those are the three reasons you ought to be for her: She’d be the best for the veterans, she’d be the best commander in chief, and she would certainly be the best at managing this economy. And finally, according to the evidence today, she’s also the most electable. She’s running ahead of Senator McCain in Ohio; her opponent’s running behind. She is ahead in Florida and Arkansas, a state that voted for me twice, ’cause I was the governor — they sort of had to, I guess — and voted for President Carter once. They haven’t voted for another Democrat in 44 years. This week’s survey in Arkansas: Senator McCain is leading Hillary’s opponent by 16 points; Hillary’s leading him by 15 points. So she can win this election. And, and, we need to change the direction of this country.

But it won’t be an easy race. John McCain is an honorable man, and as all of you know, he has paid the highest price you can pay for the United States, short of giving your life. And he and Hillary are friends; they like and respect each other. They have big disagreements on foreign policy and economic policy, they have taken reluctant Republican senators all over the world to prove that global warming is real but there is a way to deal with it that grows the economy and doesn’t shrink it. And we now have a bipartisan majority in the Senate to do something about this. That’s the kind of leadership this country needs.

And I think it would be a great thing if we had an election year where you had two people who love this country and were devoted to the interests of the country, and people could actually ask themselves, who’s right on these issues, instead of all this other stuff that always seems to intrude itself on our politics. So that’s my argument for her. She’d be the best for veterans, the best commander in chief, the best for the economy, and is the most electable.

  1. ADMIN,

could you post a video of the italian statement, cause i missed that, or maybe a link. i want to email, that around to all my union maffia friends…
    lol….

  2. Have you all seen the Page? Apparently, Gore gave a speech today. Said let election continue. Also, Lahey had to retract his comments.

  3. skmf12,

the Italian statement by Wright is from an article he wrote in Trumpet Magazine (a Trinity Church publication run by Wright and his 2 daughters).

    Here’s Newsday:

    http://weblogs.newsday.com/news/local/longisland/politics/blog/2008/03/rev_wrights_italian_job_hold_t.html

“The irrepressible Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. is at it again, this time taking aim at Italians — expounding a two millenium grudge against the sons and daughters of Rome — and their (allegedly) breath-altering prediliction for scampi and pesto.

From the Wright-written eulogy for scholar Asa Hilliard in the Dec. 2007 edition of the Trumpet magazine: “(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him… The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”

After calling Jesus’s crucifixion “a public lynching Italian style” executed in “Apartheid Rome,” he goes on to claim that white supremicists run the U.S. government:

“The government runs everything from the White House to the schoolhouse, from the Capitol to the Klan, white supremacy is clearly in charge, but Asa, like Jesus, refused to be defined by an oppressive government because Asa got his identity from an Omnipotent God.”

All this was written before his friend and former parishoner vaulted to the front of the Democratic pack — and before Obama denounced his previous comments on race, AIDS, etc.

    — Glenn Thrush”

  4. Ready to take to the streets. Million Women March. Million Men March. Million Gay and Lesbian March. Million Latino March. Better still – Million Americans United March for Hillary. Shoulder-to-shoulder in Florida, Michigan, DNC Headquarters, and Denver. Marching for democracy. Marching for the voice of the people. Marching to praise the goodness of America.

  5. ADMIN! Thanks for the post, but you crashed me! LOL too much video!

The call to drop out. It’s apparently on the Page. Also, the Gore speech. Anyone seen the Nader note?

  8. Leahy acts like Casey is the only vote in Pa that matters. They are so afraid of Hillary. I can’t find Leahy retraction…please post link if possible.

  11. LoL, well we’re Hillary suporters. We’re “low information” “lower educated” and just plain dumb. 😉

  12. Rick, I am…and the nomination CANNOT be settled by then, They have to vote ballots. “pledges” and “Endorsements” by SD’s mean nothing until votes are cast.

I will. I have a brother-in-law. Total repug, but he has a sweet house, and damn he’s going to have to put me up.

  14. hey bambi trolls .. why don’t you go over and faint and fawn over your dipshit candidate who can string together a sentence without the stuttering, stamping and contradictions.

He a liar, hypocrit and a fake.

Go over and worship at the altar of your messiah, get your Koolaid, nikes and cots ready, he’ll be calling you soon for the big moment.

God they are the most stupid bunch of people I’ve ever seen,

  15. “God they are the most stupid bunch of people I’ve ever seen,”

    you really made me laugh!

    it’s SO TRUE

Hey, Rick, aren’t you in Gulfport FL?

  16. I don’t know anybody there, but I want to be in Denver. It will be peaceful, but I want to be in the streets outside the convention hall. I need to form a meetup group to get some people to share the gas expense with me from Atlanta.

  17. from TM comment,

Ed Rendell just said on CNN that Obama had called him, said “Ed, you know I’m going to be your nominee, don’t you? So, please don’t beat me up too bad in Pa. that it hurts me in the General”

Or something like that! WHAT AN ARROGANT ….(you fill in the blank)!

Hope Ed gets a chance to repeat that again and again!!

  18. Hillary campaign is so cool, calm and confident. They aren’t panicked and cowering. They know something and Bambi is skared shitless.

Have they been hiding MO so she doesn’t “diss” America again.

Oh yes the republicans are salivating at running against him…I actually see a little more critic of Hillary now so they are worried that Hillary is the hardest to beat.

  19. I am planning on going, money will dictate of course, but me and my camera are looking forward to the events 😀

  20. In my dream of dreams I’m really hoping that Obama will be forced to drop out before the convention.

Is that too mean of me? 😉

Oh and I’m glad that we are troll free again. It gets kind of creepy in here when that happens.

  21. Rick, I would love to meet up in denver

and if anyone is coming from my area i would love to hook up and ride share too

I am in NW IOWA near enough to desmoines,or sioux falls and omaha to hook up

  22. when did Wright apologize for his comments? I never heard him apologize..any video on it?

If he is convinced he is right in preaching like that .. why would he apologize for it now .. after offering the whole series as “his best hits”

  23. Because Dean told him so Meiyingsu. This is going to GET DOWN. I HOPE TO HELL Rendell has a tape of that call! Americans will go apeshit over his arrogance and presumptions, and now his CONFIRMATION that it is RIGGED and the VOTERS DO NOT COUNT

  24. I saw someone on Fox tonight say if 527’s can make Bush’s military record look more impressive than John Kerry’s just imagine what they will do to Obama in the GE.

  25. I hope the Clinton camps makes a big deal about Bambi having to call Ed and asking “you know i am going to be the nominee, please don’t do anything that will hurt me too much in the GE”

  26. If you’re in Atlanta or on the route (no sidetracking ) from Atlanta to Denver, contact me from my web site and let’s start planning our trip. We’ll pack an ice chest full of yummy food and a box of mix tapes and have an old fashioned road trip. I’ll set us up a blog to blog it all the way.

I have a Scion. That’s room for me and 3 passengers.

  30. is anyone seeing the money meeting on Hillary’s website? bec all Im seeing is the sign the petition

  31. Artiste, I was in Florida until March 1st. I’ve moved back to Atlanta. That’s one reason I’m so mad if they have a re-vote down there. That would mean that I wouldn’t have a vote counted anywhere b/c Georgia has already voted!

  32. Is it just me or did Candy Crowly and perhaps the MSM get “emails” on candy looking like a bag lady??

  35. Hi wbboei

I saw your powerful reply on the last thread. That is some wonderful insight. You should share more of your thoughts on this topic. The neo-lib phenomenon is indeed unparalleled in US political history. You address the more social side of this and I hope more research can be done on this aspect. Now this movement is beginning to sense its own power. They self-righteously believe they are the saviors of the modern age, even more so than the neo-cons did. This message has been reflected consistently in Obama’s campaign. And the neo-libs have ample funding, control most media outlets, and dominate the web, believing that this will lead them to achieve supreme victory for their global agenda. It’s a bit scary. If the DNC hands the Party over to them; the neo-libs will have little use for their old-style liberal allies after they control things. The old guard Kennedy/Kerry/Pelosi clique will be squeezed out to make room for the younger neo-libs. Fools!

    The neo-libs have two goals:

    1) First and primarily is to take control of the Party. This is their most important battle and the first step to power. They must win this nomination contest at all costs, using any method. Worry about the fallout later.
    2) As a secondary goal, gain control of the government via Obama.

We are in an epoch struggle for the soul of our country. We can not afford to lose this one without very serious consequences for the world as we know it. Hillary is aware of this danger. Why do you think she is so determined to continue fighting down to the last minute and dollar? She knows what is at stake. She is not doing this for her health that’s for sure, but for folks like you and me. I think often when people are engaged in monumental struggles like this one, it is difficult to see the bigger picture because we are in the trenches, involved in daily hand-to-hand combat with the enemy. But someday years later, we will say to ourselves, “When our country needed us the most, we answered the call.” Is this not really the campaign message of Hillary Clinton? Even the Republicans are beginning to finally realize that she is truly one great American. Even they now know we must stop the neo-libs before it is too late. I am so proud to be on the Hillary team!

  36. MtDora…are you able to access HillBill’s Secret site?

Well, that’s not so great for Hill. He didnt say not so fast or anything?

  43. not to the reporter mj

but my guess he was on the phone to Hillary just afterwards saying “You will never believe the phone call I just got”

  44. artiste……….do you think this phone call to ed rendell and the comment “you know I am going to be the nominee”

and the major hypocritical comments on “the view” today are the

:BIG: 28th thing we’ve all been wondering about for days?? 😀

  45. Maybe today he is promising to pick Rendell as VP…

remember…sebelius, richardson. McCaskill and so on!

He will have a state level VP!…

  46. hi you guys!!! i just got home from listening to bill speak tonite!!! it was AMAZING!!!

2500 ppl were sposed to show and there were 4000!!! in lil ole asheville with only a days notice!!! i am soooo excited and pumped!

AND BILL TOOK HIS PICTURE WITH ME!!! i sent it to admin!!! (hopefully they’ll post!) i am on cloud TEN!!! i told hubby that this is getting framed and going up next to our wedding photo!

  47. Obama had better watch out, Rendell knows party politics better than anyone including Bill and Hillary. He was not one of the best DNC chairs by accident. He and Terry are the party’s best fundraisers and he does not want to piss them off.

    Same here 😀

  50. that’s the thing folks. A BO supporter asking HRC to drop out should NOT be news. He is a surrogate. Email everyone who covered this story and tell them so.

  51. DivaBunny………WOW!!!!!!!

that’s so awesome! i would put that picture there too 😀

and WOW on the attendance! I wish it would be reported in the MSM

but perhaps it’s better that it’s kept as a hush to make that KNOCK OUT PUNCH hurt oh so bad! 😀

  52. Just read an incredible prediction. She wrote it about a year ago and is still sticking with it. Ready? Clinton/Edwards VS McCain/Rice or Gualiani . Winner? Clinton/Edwards. She said being President is written in Hillary’s destiny. In regards to Obama. Over confidence. Arrogance. Then scandal upon scandal including marital indiscretions and money laundrying through Trinity church and much much more.

  53. It is really time for some change in the Senate all these old goats that have been in the senate for over 20 years need to go. Kennedy, Kerry, Leahy, Rockefeller and Dodd

  54. GUYS WORK PENNSYLVANNIA TO THE BONE.

If we can get 85% or higher, we will effectively have taken each and every single one of Pennsylvannia’s delegates. That would basically tie up the delegate math and SHUT UP the Pelosi, Dean, and Obamaboids.

  55. @mj: pulch is in charlotte, so i dont think he came. as far as the crowd… i was so impressed! all ages, both genders and some AAs. not many though… i met several undecideds in the line (three hours) that we waited in and talked to them abt their concerns and issues that were important to them… i heavily canvassed the line and invited everyone to our hillary meeting for next thursday…

city of asheville will be obama, but it is VERY RURAL here and the counties will all go for hillary! no doubt! i found out that they are looking to put an office here and my hubby is in commercial real estate so he is looking for space. they want 2500 sq ft and so far he has 800 sq ft DONATED…. but since its not going to be big enough, i doubt it will work out, but thats only with one day of trying…. send us positive energy here!

  56. The HRC campaign doesn’t want to get too negative yet, but as supporters, I say WE go for it. Let’s give BHO and his stupid doting teenagers ever fire-power we have. It’s either Hillary or mcCain for me! DEMOCRAT OR NOT. I’M AN AMERICAN BEFORE I AM A DEMOCRAT, AND AS AN AMERICAN, I WILL NEVER LET SENATOR BARACK OBAMA HAVE A CHANCE AT Snake-oil SELLING his way INTO the most powerful position in the world.

  57. I poked Bill in the stomach. It was rude. But they were about to usher him away. It was at CGI. He signed my CGI notepad. My dog at part of it but not the sig.

  58. I just sent this to me media list:

Thousands of Clinton supporters are urging Senator Obama to drop out of the race. They know that he is now plagued by scandal and that the scandals surrounding him will only grow worse. He will not be able to win the GE do to his controversial background and opinions. And also do to his poor judgment and lack of experience. People are falling out of love with Obama now that the facade is fading and fading fast. Again we urge Mr. Obama to please drop out now!

  59. Guys, if we can amass enough support and constant barrage of the Big Media and Superdelegates, we CAN take this nomination by the reins and stop Obama now! 🙂

  60. rjk I agree! I think its high time we get more women and GOOD AAs in there making GOOD decisions

Leave the crusty old men at home LOL!

  61. We need to really demoralize the Obamabots. What is something just out and out nasty and dirty that we can pull on them? I know a rumor.

  62. We must start in Pennsylvannia. And TOO BAD to all the die-hard democrats. If some of y’all are not willing to be negative, then so be it. I am willing and I will get others to join me to raise a fire storm. I don’t care if it destroys the democratic party. They DESERVE to be destroyed for promoting this no-good, no-experience, no-truth HACK that is SEnator Barack Obama.

I say we call, email, write letters, and organize a protest. We should fully send out every negative of Senator Barack Obama and make sure the World hears about this con-man LOUD and CLEAR. Even if it means Kennedy, Kerry, and Pelosi go down with the fire,…..so what? They are getting old. Someone new and better-minded will replace them.

  63. @mj: my husband is the type to go with the flow, but when bill came up to me in line, i thanked him for everything he and hillary are doing and shook his hand and he said he liked my shirt (“vote for hillary”) and then he was going to walk away and i had my camera in my hand and i just asked if he would take a picture with me and he looked at my shirt again and said sure… took the camera, PUT HIS ARM AROUND ME, and thanked ME for all i’m doing for hillary!!!

i swear i am on cloud TEN! i feel so lucky to just have heard him speak, but a photo??? i hope admin will post it!

  64. Diva…that all sounds so great! I cannot believ ewith all the gay pop in Asheville that Bambi is appealing at all. Oh well…

we will still win NC too!

    TCB…whose prediction was that?

  65. tcb, lets hear it, I’m up for telling all these Obama cultists off and I need something that works!

You’d think the Wright/Rezko connections would work but the Obamabot’s brains are too far gone! 🙂

  66. I read on one of the other blogs that there are 5 women SDs that had pledged to BO that are now planning on bolting to be in solidarity with Hillary and with all women in government. They say it’s a direct result of people like Richardson and Leahy telling women when to quit.

  67. @ artiste… all of my gays (guys) came out for bill tonite… one of them is VERY VERY influential in local politics… i didnt know he was coming tonite, but when i saw him, i told him abt the volunteer group and he’s coming up to the shop tomorrow so we can talk… he will be HUGE for us… he just didnt know we had a group going! i’m psyched abt that!

  68. TCB, i’m betting there are some female pledged delegates for Barack that will ultimately switch sides come convention time.

  69. Anyone want a dog? Diva, do the yorkies want a new sister? Grrr.

I wish I could get to Medford on Sunday to see Bill in Or-e-gone. It’s too far of a drive though. Hopefully they’ll hit that state up again before the election there. Really, how do you GOTV in a state that’s all mail in?

  70. We need to start sending out McGovern’s statements that men will not vote for a woman President. Yes, I know he has endorsed Hillary and that statement was meant to rile up her base and does not seem to have had the desired effect.

  71. one that IS undecided, but bambi isnt coming to western nc and ppl are really taking that as a blow… there were TONS of local politicans there tonite… hubby knows them and that helped with me getting to the rail to meet bill. lots of ppl here go with the way our local polis go. it was awesome!

  72. divabunny, if Hill “takes out the trash” and really kicks butt in PA and NC, we won’t even need to take this to the convention! Fingers crossed! 🙂

  73. Ya’ll will be on the phones to Oregon like mad! I’m going to head down…maybe I can drive people to the post office or walk next to them to the mailbox and watch them put their ballot in and put the flag up.

Aside from that i do not know a rumor, but I have a suspician of something. It’s a hunch, but no rumor.

  75. the guy that intro’d bill is hugely (is that a word) respected fomer poli and he trashed obama… said sandburg would “roll over in his grave” if he knew abt voters being disenfranchised and for what is going on in this election.. the dem party is abt fighting for what is RIGHT… fighting for what is FAIR! the crowd ROARED!!!

  76. Check out virtually every poll on surveyusa.com. In state after state, the Jeremiah Wright scandal is KILLING Obama in head-to-head matchups against McCain. In Alabama, a state that BHO bragged he could “turn blue” after winning the primary there, McCain is THUMPING him now. Same in Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and on and on. McCain would win 40 states against Obama — it wouldn’t even be close.

An Obama candidacy would be POISON to down-ticket Democrats this fall.

  77. I don’t know that McGovern is a model of Presidential Success!

OK Guys, I have to go to bed. BIG Florida day tomorrow for Hillary.

  78. Is John Kerry and Ted Kennedy up for re election this year? They may not win considering how Mass voted. Since they supported Obama

    I hope they lose

  79. @berkley: for some undecideds i met the past two nights, i asked them how they feel abt wrights statements, how they feel abt that being the kind of mentor a prez would choose? talked to them abt judgement… i will tell you that is going a looooooong way. the media might not talk abt it, but i will!

  80. Agreed, MJS. We should send “patriotic protesters” to BHO’s events, too, to keep the pressure on until he quits the Trinity church.

Hey, Neeta. Unfortunately, I think Kerry already won the primary. 🙁 I will not vote for him this year. Ted is not up, but Ted will never lose in MA. It just won’t happen. This next term will be Kerry’s last, I can assure you. He’s not popular.

  83. @tcb: i cant remember his name… he old old respected poli, but before i lived here. our local news website is wlos.com we had great press there it was awesome!

  85. 5 women SD that formerly endorsed BO are planning on bolting to Hillary our of sisterly solidarity. Word has it that it is in direct result of rude men like Richardson and Leahy having the gall to tell women when they should quit.

  86. You guys, I’ve been SO PISSED today. Pissed at Dean, the media, Patrick Leahy telling Hillary to step down…these pricks have driven me over the edge. I will vote for Obama when hell freezes over. I’m GLAD Hillary is staying in this race even if she doesn’t end up getting the nomination. I want to take this to the convention with Clinton supporters building up their anger so we can release it on their asses in Denver. If Obama steals the nomination without FL and MI we will PROTEST. We will have several months to vent and go to the polls and either write in Hillary or vote for John McCain. I will never vote for Obama and I’m coming close to not voting for anyone on the ballot who has supported him. We need to take these MOFOs DOWN. If you live in NM DON’T vote for Bill Richardson. Continue to fill the inboxes at the DNC demanding that Dean resign. DON’T vote for Leahy. Don’t vote for any of these assholes. They all deserve to go down and there are enough Clinton supporters to kick these guys out of the party. They are poison and before we can rebuild our party we need to suck all of the poison out. 87. I wish more african americans had shown up in NC for Bill’s event. I HATE that BO has sought to drive a wedge between Bill and african americans. Here’s a guy who grew up in a white family in Hawaii, and here’s a poor boy from Arkansas he grew up with african americans. Shame on Obama.

  88. You know I always hear about Obama protesters. But I never hear about Hillary protesters. Basically we don’t do that. Is that right?

  89. Oh…one last thing guys…

there is a message for Florida folks posted in HillBills SECRET ROOM in the PRIVATE section that Dot did for me….let Florida Folks you know have the info! Thanks! (Except for the Bots)

    oooOOOOOooooooo

  90. @ henry: Exactly! Push this meme!

You know guys, I think we will win this nomination and I am 95% sure of it. The 5% depends on whether or not the MSM does its job. Monday will come with the Rezko trial starting again. Sunday should bring more Ayers and Weather conspiracy about Obama. Slowly, the tide has been turning, albeit with some help from the right wing. But for now, I appreciate the right wing. They fear this con-man JUST as much as we do. If the liberal-latte crowd in CNN and MSNBC are too busy sucking cocaine off of Obama’s left nutsack to do their jobs, then let the #1 major News Station do the job FOR them and let the top 3 radio hosts blast this con-man out of the murky mud for what he really is.

America has been swindled and pilfered for too long in this election. I think that if there is a God, he/she will realize that Obama deserves to be hammered and hammered big time in the coming weeks before Pennsylvannia, NC, and Indiana.

  91. Tcb…..THANKS FOR THAT! I heard that too ya know. Read it somewhere i think. Probably on TPM or something…i read so much.

  92. My Gov is up for re-election and she supports Obama. She’ll win fairly easily I think. I have NO idea if I voted for her the last time though. I remember looking at my ballot, writing George Clooney in as president and then I blacked out and don’t know who I voted for for Gov. It was one of those “can neither of these two win?” contests.

  93. Why are Hillary volunteers not holding signs up saying:

“I say God Bless America, Obama’s spiritual buddy says: God DAMN America?” and stuff like that at his rallies? 🙁

  94. How ironic would it be BO got the nomination that Wright’s statement about God damming America would actually be accurate?? 🙁

    God, it’s so sickening

  95. Hillary does have a chance at sweeping the remaining states (maybe excluding NC, but this is a toss-up). On what basis do I make this claim? Because the Wright scandal has really hurt Obama and it is the voters in the end that will make the final decision, not the Party or the media. If this were early in the primary season, say last winter, he would have been forced out already. We should be thankful there are some states left , and not AA or caucus states. The voters will pass their judgment and I already know the verdict. We are witnessing the last desperate attempts to get Hillary to drop out before the voters speak. She just needs to hang in there for a month or so. Dean and others are correct in saying this will be decided soon. The jury will return and deliver a guilty as charged verdict against Barak Obama. Thank goodness for democracy.

  96. MJS – thats because its too much words to fit on a sign !! 🙂

besides the bots are already hypnotized, its not like they’re going to read anything! 😉

  97. MJ in Ohio at Brush High school there were a lot of AA there. Not the norm. At the debate here in Ohio a lot of AA were standing out in the freezing cold looking like snowmen, rallying for Hillary. They were Old and young. I did notice the media did not focus on us to much.

Thanks, neeta. That warms my heart. Are you in Ohio? I am going to do some fundraising for two African american congressional supporters there, here in MA.

    LMAO!

  100. Don’t forget to boycott MSNBC and GE. If you have GE stock sell them. Cancel your Newsweek subscription. And don’t visit the big orange devil.

  101. I still don’t understand why these Obamatrons are having fits all over if according to them Hillary has no chance of winning the nomination???! Why are they so scared of a woman who has no chance?? Shouldn’t they all be calmed, cool and collected since according to them B.O already won..

  102. The Jeremiah Wright fiasco gets even worse for Obama: contradictory statements from Obama and his own advisors, today — check this article out:

    Obama Suggests Ex-Pastor Is Contrite

By CHARLES BABINGTON, Associated Press Writer

    Friday, March 28, 2008

    (03-28) 15:20 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) —

Democrat Barack Obama seemed to suggest in an interview aired Friday that his former pastor has acknowledged that his controversial remarks were inappropriate and hurtful, although there are no public accounts of the minister having done so.

Obama discussed his relationship with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright on ABC’s “The View,” which was taped Thursday and aired Friday.

“Had the reverend not retired and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying there at the church,” Obama said.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the senator’s remarks did not imply that Wright has expressed misgivings about his statements.

“Sen. Obama was clearly saying that were Rev. Wright not retiring, he would need to be assured that the reverend understood why what he had said had deeply offended people and mischaracterized the greatness of this country,” Burton said.

Wright, who officiated at Obama’s wedding and his been his spiritual mentor for years, recently retired from the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. He became an issue in Obama’s presidential bid in recent weeks when videos circulated of Wright condemning the U.S. government for allegedly racist and genocidal acts. In the videos, some several years old, Wright called on God to “damn America.” He also said the government created the AIDS virus to destroy “people of color.”

In a highly publicized speech last week, Obama sharply condemned Wright’s remarks. But he did not leave the church or repudiate the minister himself, who he said was like a family member.

Wright has not spoken publicly since the campaign controversy flared up. He canceled plans this week to speak in Florida and Texas.

Obama said Wednesday he has spoken with Wright since making his speech on the controversy in Philadelphia.

Obama’s rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, said this week she would have parted ways with a pastor who made the remarks that Wright had made.

  103. There is no telling what kind of corrupt connections Obama has….that money is coming from somewhere….college students don’t have enough….just sayin..

  104. TeamClinton08, the calm ones are sucking cocaine off his “right” nut sack, while all the rest have paused momentarily and are facing reality for what it is.

LOL to that. Exactly. There is a reason why hardly anyone watches MSNBC/Obama Network and FOX is consistently in the top 5 most watched news networks.

paddy4Hill: I agree. If Clinton had no shot at this. If she was just another Huckabee getting 15% of the vote she would be a joke and they wouldn’t care if she stayed until the convention. But she is STILL winning all of the major big states we need to win in the general. She won TX and OH when all of them said she’d be out. They all said she’d be out after Iowa and Super Tuesday. Obama can’t seal the deal. PERIOD. That’s why his supporters are so angry and are whining for Hillary to drop out. She is a competitive candidate and they hate that. They hate that she is still alive after all of these attacks from MSM and Obama and the political blogs. They hate that she can still win this and that there are still Rev. Wright videos out there waiting to be aired on youtube and FOX and one of them will have the Obama family right there clapping along when Wright says something inflammatory. They hate that in the next two months FOX WILL find more dirt whether it is on Wright or Rezco. They are wimps who are tired of competing.

  106. TeamClinton08, they’re just like their candidate: immature, disrespectful, lying, and lacking common sense. I’d like to think we’re like OUR candidate, which means we can rise above all these Obamabots BS!

  107. guys, start writing some inflammatory comments to the Obama drones to stop them from coming here!

I mean, personally, I can’t stomach going to the Barackobama site without thoughts of vomitting and strangling the next stoned-out Obama groupie I see, but our site might be a little too “nice” and “respectful” for their “high” hearts 😉

bring on the STERILIZING guys 😀 Let’s sterilize this board with our comments 🙂

  108. Please someone go see if there is anything about a Gore speech today and lahey retracting his comments on the Page.

  109. MJS – I don’t think that’s a good idea. I know they can be obnoxious, but I don’t think they’re causing anyone trouble here?

  110. Oh make sure you sign the I take back my vote for Obama site. I just pretended I voted for him and that I wanted my vote back and then wrote a bunch of shit why. We can play this dirty Chicago politics too – fuck em.

on TV, make it work, make it big !

    http://www.itakebackmyvote.com/

  111. Win4Hill, there have been some Trolling-incidents lately…and some of them might frequent this site for insider information (*glares*)

anyways, you don’t have to 🙂 I think I can have some fun doing it myself 🙂

  112. Why can’t the Clinton’s start there own party?? I’m sick and tired of the loser nutkook liberals taking over the democratic party.. Their as bad as the neo-conservative kooks on the Republican side! We need a centrist party!!!! The Dems are never going to win again if we have the nutkooks picking the candidates for them..UGH!

  113. Admin, this video in your entry is the first time I’ve ever seen Jeremiah Wright accuse Bill Clinton of “riding dirty.” Absolutely unbelievable. I can’t really figure out how to describe my reaction: appalled? Dumb-struck?

For the older generation who may not be as up-to-date on their gangta rap lingo, “riding dirty” is ghetto slang for driving around with drugs in one’s car. It has several less-popular meanings, too, including sex with someone underage, or sex without a condom. Any of the above are wildly, wildly inappropriate for a Sunday morning church service with children present, needless to say.

  114. You know Obama is going to demand the nomination. Two of my friends who are quiet up there in age said the drum beat to vote for him will become stronger and stronger with a lot of it based upon his race.

  115. We don’t need a new Party. She’ll win.

I still would like to see the retraction. Please, anyone, see if you see that and anything about the Gore speech on the Page.

  116. I went to The Page mj, this is all I saw about Leahy

Comments come as Obama-backing Sen. Leahy calls for Clinton to drop out– a remark he later backed away from in a statement.

  117. I’m just frustrated with the Democratic party being taken over by the far left.. The far right took over the Repubs and look what a mess their in… The Dems are in even worse shape because we can’t even win an election! Pathetic!

  118. everyone, since the itakebackmyvote on barack obama! 😀 and encourage all your friends and family to do so too 🙂

  119. 5 women SDs formerly with BO will bolt to Hillary out of solidarity for women and in protest of men abusing their power. A rumor has been reported.

  120. Oh and then Leahy issued a statement, which…isn’t much better than what he said.

Any clear-eyed appraisal of the campaign at this stage adds up to two conclusions:

The bottom line is that, first, Senator Obama continues to hold a lead that appears to be insurmountable, and recent indications are that more and more unpledged delegates have begun to add their support to his column.

And second, John McCain, who has been making one mistake after another, is getting a free ride on those gaffes, because the Democratic candidates have to focus not on him but on each other.

Senator Casey’s endorsement of Senator Obama in Pennsylvania is the latest sign of how the race is going.

A Democratic victory in November is important to the future and to the change in course that the American people want and deserve. The last thing the American people need is for Senator McCain to continue a third term for President Bush.

Senator Clinton has every right, but not a very good reason, to remain a candidate for as long as she wants to. As far as the delegate count and the interests of a Democratic victory in November go, there is not a very good reason for drawing this out. But as I have said before, that is a decision that only she can make.

Senator Clinton has begun a tremendous career in the Senate, and she has a bright future ahead of her. She faces difficult decisions ahead, and I wish her the best.

  121. mj, I would expect that if those statements were in fact true about Leahy MSM would have snapped it up by now, haven’t seen anything on it yet. Maybe tomorrow?

  122. thepage.time.com/statement-from-vermont-sen-leahy/

mj – I didn’t see anything on a speech from Gore there. It’s a confusing layout, so I just did a search and came up empty.

  123. debbie – the statement I copy and pasted is his “retraction”. Sounds like just a nicer way of saying the same thing to me.

  124. @mj: i agree! why the F should we let a ONE TERM, wet behind the ears, fraud run the clintons out of THEIR PARTY!!! bill clinton built the party back up after it was broken down after reagan and bush! why the F should they start their own party! the clintons are what OUR PARTY stands for!

  125. I haven’t seen anything on Gore either. Boy I hope he tells me what I want to hear during his 60 Minutes interview on Sunday.

  126. Senator Clinton has begun a tremendous career in the Senate????

She’s been there 8 years you old geezer.

  127. mj – I uploaded that segment on Morning Joe you posted about today. Youtube is taking for.ev.er to post it though.

  128. The Obama campaign is crying “uncle” in more ways than one. First it was the pathetic attempt at explaining away Jeremiah Wright’s conduct (BHO compared Wright to a crazy old uncle, who can’t be helped). Hillary swiftly refuted this argument, by pointing out that you can’t choose your family, but you do choose your pastor.

Now, they’re crying uncle again, because polling data shows Obama’s support crumbling in head-to-head matchups against McCain. The Obama campaign’s only hope is to try and push Hillary out of the race quickly, before it gets worse. Obviously, this is laughable and pathetic, not to mention insulting to the millions of Democrats whose voices haven’t been heard yet.

  129. I love her, netta. Great spokeswoman for Hill. She’s one I’m going to try to raise some money for. I know she probably sdoesn’t need it, but I just really respect what she’s done for Hill.

  130. mj found this on the page

    ******

doesn’t sound like a true reversal or retraction to me!

  131. That is a fucked up statement. And so what about Murtha’s endorsement or the 7 mayors in Indiana endorsement. What does that give fucking indication to. Suck my dick Mr. Leahy. And shove your indications up your ass.

  132. neeta, your congresswoman rocks! You’re very lucky.

My congressman is the state chair for the Obama campaign.

  133. Thanks, Tiny.

I just heard through the grapevine Gore gave some sort of speech today. Said process will work itself out. No rush.

  134. Your right about that diva! The Clintons brought the Democratic Party back from the dead and now the Dem establisment stab them in the back for a freshman senator they know nothing about! UGH!

  135. Well I hope it is true that those 5 women SDs are defecting the Obama camp over these male chauvanistic pig statements by Leahy et al.

  136. Fuck that idiot Casey too! PA is going to Hillary no matter how many times he kisses B.O’s ass..

  137. Oh couldn’t help myself..

this was just too good not to share….

    From the page,

Former Gov. James Blanchard tells the Detroit Free Press that the party is “flirting with McCain victory” for not resolving seating the state’s delegates at the convention.

Blanchard: “They’re treating the rules like the U.S. Constitution or the 10 Commandments. They’ve lost their way…I do think the presidential election process is broken. It’s broken, we have a heck of a mess.” Permalink

  138. ok – Good night everyone. Tomorrow we will demoralize the Obamabots some more. I’m sure all those collapsing poll numbers are demoralizing them enough. And now 5 women might defect because of sexist comments by Leahy.

  139. Gore, the choice is clear: honor your obligation to the family who made you the star you are now, or shut the heck up, crawl under a rock, and GO AWAY!!

  140. LoL, I love Gore. If only he hadn’t chosen Lieberman as his VP he might be finishing up his 2nd term. (well….other problems in that campaign…)

“Quiet…a whale is in trouble. I have to go.

  141. “Quiet…a whale is in trouble. I have to go. LOL

Ok, now I am really going to bed. Give Gore a break. At least he didnt endorse BO.

  142. By the way, that’s one of the first AP articles I’ve seen that showed no bias for BO or against Hill.

    Good night.

  143. Some Americans are stating that they wouldn’t let Obama manage a Chuckie Cheese let alone the United States of America.

  144. NEW TALKING POINT: Obama buys his SD’s!!!!

Obama leads Clinton in giving money to superdelegates (posted 3/28/08)

    mcclatchydc.com/homepage/story/31905.html

it’s good news for Obama. Since 2005, his PAC has donated $710,900 to superdelegates, more than three times as much as Clinton’s PAC has. Her PAC distributed $236,100 to superdelegates during the three-year period.

  145. MJ she faced a lot of critizism for the AA community. She told them she promised Hillary a long time ago she would support her. She said when she make a promise she is true to her word. I told Stephanie i admired her for this

  146. oh heres another goody from Democracy now…by Amy Goodman
    Obama can’t answer her questions…LMFAO

AMY GOODMAN: Obama was speaking at the Cooper Union. I had a chance to briefly interview him as he was shaking people’s hands after he left the stage. I asked Obama why he’s not calling for a total withdrawal of US troops from Iraq in accordance with the 70 percent of Iraqis who say they want the US out.

AMY GOODMAN: Senator Obama, quick question: 70 percent of Iraqis say they want the US to withdraw completely; why don’t you call for a total withdrawal?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Well, I do, except for our embassy. I call for amnesty and protecting our civilian contractors there.

AMY GOODMAN: You’ve said a residual force—

    SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Yeah, but—

AMY GOODMAN: —which means [inaudible] thousands [inaudible].

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Well, no. I mean, I don’t think that you’ve read exactly what I’ve said. What I said is that we do need to have a strike force in the region. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in Iraq; it could be in Kuwait or other places. But we do have to have some presence in order to not only protect them, but also potentially to protect their territorial integrity.

AMY GOODMAN: Can you call for a ban on the private military contractors like Blackwater?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: I’ve actually—I’m the one who sponsored the bill that called for the investigation of Blackwater in [inaudible], so—

AMY GOODMAN: But would you support the Sanders one now?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Here’s the problem: we have 140,000 private contractors right there, so unless we want to replace all of or a big chunk of those with US troops, we can’t draw down the contractors faster than we can draw down our troops. So what I want to do is draw—I want them out in the same way that we make sure that we draw out our own combat troops. Alright? I mean, I—

    AMY GOODMAN: Not a ban?

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: Well, I don’t want to replace those contractors with more US troops, because we don’t have them, alright? But this was a speech about the economy.

AMY GOODMAN: The war is costing $3 trillion, according to Stiglitz.

SEN. BARACK OBAMA: That’s what—I know, which I made a speech about last week. Thank you.

  147. More reasons to love Hillary:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080328/ap_on_el_pr/clinton

If Hillary Rodham Clinton is feeling heat from pundits and party elders to quit the race and back Barack Obama, you’d never know it from her crowds, energy level and upbeat demeanor on the campaign trail.

“There are millions of reasons to continue this race: people in Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina, and all of the contests yet to come,” Clinton told reporters Friday. “This is a very close race and clearly I believe strongly that everyone should have their voices heard and their votes counted.”

    ——————
Traveling across Indiana, the former first lady was greeted by large, enthusiastic audiences who roared their approval at her proposals to help fix the state’s economic challenges.

At events here and in North Carolina on Thursday, Clinton raised the issue of whether she should quit the race, only to have it firmly batted down by her supporters.

“There are some people who are saying, you know, we really ought to end this primary, we just ought to shut it down,” she said in Mishawaka, Ind., drawing cries of “No, no!” inside a packed gymnasium.

[Note: and we really love this:]

In Hammond, she compared the state’s struggling steel industry to her own efforts to fight the odds.

“I know a little bit about comebacks,” she said to cheers. “I know what it’s like to be counted down and counted out. But I also know there is nothing that will keep us down if we are determined to keep on.”

    ———–
Asked what she thought of Obama’s comment Friday that the Democratic primary race resembled “a good movie that lasted about a half-hour too long,” Clinton smiled broadly and said, “I like long movies.”

  148. ROTFLMAO!! bambi is going to loose KY for sure!!

    usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-03-27-ky-vote_N.htm

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Thousands of Kentuckians have switched political parties over the past three months, apparently in hopes of voting in the Democratic presidential primary.

Problem is Secretary of State Trey Grayson says Kentucky law forbids people who switch parties after Dec. 31 from voting in the presidential primary.

Grayson said Kentucky election officials have been warning political groups and campaign workers that encouraging Republicans and independents to switch to the Democratic Party will be of no benefit in the primary.

Some 9,000 people have switched parties since Jan. 1.

  149. tcbequality (btw, are you the poster tim from taylormarsh who has dissapeared from the site? If so, come back! everyone misses you!), where did you hear about Obama’s numbers tanking? All indications are to the contrary…I think if we are going to post such information, we should back it up a bit more, not necessarily with citations, but with a sense of where the information came from, or if it just a gut instinct, we should say so and then say why…

I know I get a little too excited when I read posts like that!

  150. I heard even more damning Wright tapes will be coming out soon. Hannity is on top of it. drip drip drip

  151. I read it on a blog about the poll numbers but I don’t remember which one. It was about internal polls not the polls we can read. No I have never posted on Taylor Marsh.

  152. thats true tcb. Some Americans are stating that they wouldn’t let Obama manage a Chuckie Cheese let alone the United States of America…where i am they seen that pastor and said ill be damn if hell run the country with that idiot going to the white house for sermons.to be his counsel for parties and religious gatherings.the word is getting out and 1 of my coworkers called some of her family in north carolina and told them to spread the word he is a liar..they said they have read bad things and heard already.
and there gonna fight for Hillary there.
obama better step down …he is lying so bad
    he digs deeper and deeper.

  153. People have been talking about that for a long time Mangomist3. They bought a bunch of tapes and have not shown all of them yet.

  154. cj – Glad you and your family is helping spread the word that Obama is a liar. He also plays real dirty so we are going to have to fight a little fire with fire.

  155. wbboei,

I don’t know if you are still up or not, but when you read this, I forgot in my last note to mention I would consider it a favor if you could post for me that stuff on Taylor’s site. I am still having some problems doing it from China. Thanks so much. Very kind of you.

  156. And I said, senator, don’t even worry about that for five seconds.

    I’m glad you’re confirming this!

(I’m watching The Candidate right now)

  160. mangomist3 – You should send that to Howard Stern, Rush, Hannity, Dobbs. Would love to see them talking about that phone call.

  161. yeah, tcbequality…definitely fluid.

Glad Gore tipped his hat a bit – at least in the direction of bolstering Clinton and her argument – there’s a long fluid race ahead. Maybe he knows something.

    March 29th, 2008 at 1:11 am

Admin, this video in your entry is the first time I’ve ever seen Jeremiah Wright accuse Bill Clinton of “riding dirty.”

Have they really found a picture showing Obama in the audience for this one? Christmas 07? (iirc Obama has an alibi for a ‘controversial’ January 08 sermon; he was in Las Vegas! Well, somewhere in Nevada.)

Good grief, a candidate who would be better off seen in a casino than in his own church!

  163. lnila, where did you hear this? It would be fabulous if true.

Also, tomorrow, we need to all make it a point to email out to our media sources about this phone call Rendell got. It REALLY rubs me the wrong way and smacks of arrogance. The other weird thing is that if you read the transcript, the context is racial…they are talking about some remarks Rendell made about race some time back and the fact that it would play a role in PA and then they talk about this call and then a reporter says and that may be the only thing that keeps Rendell from acting badly, basically…it was weird…in the context I read it as a threat from BO against talking about race? Very, very strange. Props to Rendell for discussing it.

  164. That’s right cj Kennedy is still in hiding. Probably wrapped himself all around a nice bottle of scotch.

  165. was there anything on cable news today about the paid obami person volunteering in an erie pa Hillary headquarters?

  166. yep drinking his liquor..and being a good catholic as he is .and endorsing a liar, and his pastor that says GD America and some Catholic schools who sing God Bless America…really hurts
him for Election time from roman catholic’s and catholic’s,lay teachers, nuns..and maybe his whole state..i hope they get him out.

  167. it was in the tribune review here in pittsburgh
apparently the guy didn’t want to sign in and then when he did he said he was a volunteer from new york but i guess he acted a little suspicious and used the parlance of a campaigneer so they googled him and checked the registry of donations( didn’t know such a thing existed)
and found out that he worked for obama. i wonder how many times things like that have occurred.

  168. What a dumb kid. I mean, if you are going to bust into headquarters, at least be smart about it! If he had just signed in, no one would have thought to check anything. What a fool. Good to know who the dumbos support. They may think we Clinton supporting poor racist uneducated lunch bucket dems are stupid, but at least we wouldn’t be dumb enough to get caught volunteering at our rivals campaign because we outright refused to sign in.

  169. Word on the street is that Rendell phone call will back fire. People don’t liked to be pushed into something.

  170. but tcb, what was he getting at with the Rendell call? What was he asking Rendell to do or not to do? What is it a veiled threat? Was he pleading with Rendell…well, pleading with Rendell for what…Rendell is a huge fundraiser for the DNC and he has Hill’s back…

  171. I think this whole intimidation approach by the Obama camp is going to back fire. At the very least the Republicans will never be stupid enough to fall for it.

  172. got another email from dear old has been dean asking for donations for the ge.
this time i am going to make the gist of my letter that i can not support a man for president, who will chose at least one supreme court justice, that cannot select a preacher

  173. mangomist3 – Remember when Obama called McCain and stated that he will be running against him. And then the time that he said he won Michigan. What do you think all that adds up to? Mind fucking 101. He thinks he is that smooth.

  174. #1 Divabunny, just give me the first 3 digits of your email and you are in the private area

#2 I got a call from Hillary’s people and I get to help out on Sunday when BC comes to Medford, OR WOOHOO!

#3 I hope that sanity is starting to prevail. I hear the Million Voter March is going to make Obama piss his pants.

  175. those repubs want fall for his bull shit…and karl rove will be telling the advice for mccain everything count on it..hes been to arkas florida …and while in those states i think he went is drawing up ads,i wont put pass anything that man wont do..to get a republican in the white house…they will brand obama
with everything..with ads with talk..with debates
they chew him up and spit him back to chicago

  176. Hillary should take him to task on his comments about Pakistan. At the last debate, Hillary said Barack basically threatened to bomb Pakistan (which he did) and lies and says he didn’t. He then goes off and says something to the effect of “It’s the same thing the Bush Administration just did.” I thought that Hillary would retort something like well that’s the type of unilateralism and awful foreign policy direction I would like to get away from. She really could have tied him to continuing Bush-Cheney foreign policy. She should definitely set it up next time and go in for the kill.

  177. Yes, what is the million voter march? I want to participate. Let’s all have our fingers dipped in purple ink too.

  178. bravo
i haven’t watched tv since the ad blitz began her in pa. i can’t listen to him and he is on all the time

  179. Actually I can’t wait for the Republicans to rip him to shreds. He totally deserves it. What a con artist he is.

  180. He thinks just by playing his face over and over on tv that is going to be enough? Didn’t work in Ohio.

  181. Florida will have a million voter march, if you want more info go to politwix.com/kt and register then let me know that you have. Then you can access the private area that has info about the march in it.

  182. hope they do that march right in front of Barack obama’s bus tour right as he steps off and they chant LIAR LIAR!!!!!!!!!
haha..gonna be more than a million because michigan will join too.

  183. Waaay past my bedtime but wanted to share what I found looking through campaign contributions:

Barbara Boxer has given money to Hillary
John Edwards gave money to Bill Clinton in 1995

Fun to look up celebrities, media people and other politicians. Most havent’ given anything to the current campaigns…

    http://www.newsmeat.com/

  184. well the purple ink is at least some form of control. there was very little here in pa. i had lived and voted in manhattan for twenty years moved back to pittsburgh last year and when i went to register here the woman told me they do not share info with NY and as long as i had not voted in PA in the last 8 years i could regester under new. no proof of residence is req’d only last four of social. so someone could vote in ny and then register in pa and vote again.

  185. STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP
encouraging people to take online polls of HRC vs. BHO.

START START START START START START START START START START START START START START START
encouraging people to ignore that crap and not vote.

Let the Media Whores have to come up with a conclusion of why BHO gets a 97% vote. It means we are boycotting, we don’t give a shit, and we don’t care.

Start watching David Gregory on MSNBC. Then, immediately turn off MSNBC. (This suggestion is open to change if Gregory is open to impersonating Keith Oldhatman and Chris Crapuse).

  186. I think alot of politicians find themselves in a bind right now because they have to weigh the power of the Clintons with the sway of the DNC honcos and try to figure out which way to lean.

The thing they should be looking at is the November election and the fact that Obama will have a very difficult time prevailing against McCain in a general election. A vote for Obama now could mean the end of some careers down the road.

  187. thats alott of million people for dean and pelosi to mess with and brazillo…i hope they hold up signs that say no to pelosi no to kennedy IMpeach DEAN the screamer.hope they force him out …and maybe cindy sheehan will join too…she wants pelosi job..

  188. In terms of popular vote totals does the DNC at least recognize a vote? Even if they dont allow delegates to be seated do they acknowledge that a vote occurred? Its very possible both Hillary and Obama will make a case for the Popular Vote except one person will include 50 states and the other 48. What then happens? Its clear the way the media has treated FL and MI that they will not count them, but will their be official totals?

  189. Like Hillary, I just can’t imagine that the “Democratic” party could refuse to seat the delegates and voters in Michigan and Florida. I would just be ludicrous as a party to try to do this. There would definately be an uprise.

  190. Personnally I don’t fault Obama as much as Kerry/kennedy/pelosi/dean they knew Hill was going to be the nominee and so they created the product that they believe would beat her and they used the ground support withthe youth that came into its own under dean and expanded upon it. they had summer camps on how to caucus!!!! the most telling aspect is when one of his supporters be it joe average or a us senator is asked to name a single accomplishment they come up empty.

  191. Again I have to ask what kind of judge would this man appoint if Wright was the man he CHOSE as his spiritual advisor. Forget about the supreme court what about all of the other federal judges?

  192. Again I have to ask what kind of judge would this man appoint if Wright was the man he CHOSE as his spiritual advisor. Forget about the supreme court what about all of the other federal judges?

    wanna say it again

  193. I tend to to think when Sean Hannity alludes to some evidence of BO’s presence on the days of Wright’s vitriolic sermons – it’s a dog whistle – Fox will give money to anyone who turns it up.

  194. by the way i LOVE the how can you pick a judge if you cant pick a minister
    maybe i should copyright it.
nah i give it it to madame Prez

  195. ah, henry – put that money towards Hillary – I’m sure Fox has enough $ on their own 😉

I watched Elizabeth the movie with Cate Blanchett – and not to say Queen Hillary – but a very inspiring portrait of a kick-ass woman ruler. Why they could accept this 500 years ago, and have such a problem with a woman President now is beyond me.

  196. I have just written a MyDD diary with that unbelievably devastating anti-Obama video which rickroberts posted on March 28th, 2008 at 10:39 pm, in this thread :

    http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/3/29/65423/4259

That video makes me angry, on several levels. But more importantly, it makes me sad — for our party.

This is what October will look like with Barack Obama as our nominee, and McCain as the opponent. We will be destroyed, and it will happen because of videos just like this one.

Please recommend the diary. People — including the media — need to see this material. They need to begin to grasp what’s going to happen to our Party if Obama is our nominee.

There is no way back from this. Once Wright happened, it was over for Obama.

  197. Lou Dobbs refers to him as the Teflon Candidate. Germia Wright calls him the second coming. His parade of Black Minister Character Witnesses are united in their beliefs that BHO SEES NO EVIL,HEARS NO EVIL and DOES NO EVIL and that qualifies him to be our next president. The rest of the world is laughing at what politics has become in this country.BHO knew that introducing race into his campaign would cause such a monumental rush of followers that His past fast and ugly rise in Chicage politics would never be exposed until after his nomination. THE CON IS ON folks and we must do all we can to expose this slow thinking and slow reading phony. The MSM have control of this election at the moment and their race to the pole for OBAMA is all about RATINGS and WINNING. Their Goal is to eliminate HILLARY by turning us against her and getting OBAMA ready for the slaughter by the GOP…..WELL get ready Media. We the people will fight for her and her right to compete fairly and honestly to shatter the glass ceiling that has been there for too long. This election has exposed what is really wrong with our political system. The good ole boys club is in a panic at the sight and the thought that they will lose fheir cradle to grave MONEY PIT. Let us get behind Hillary and make their worst dreams a reality.WORK,GIVE,PHONE,SPREAD THE WORD for Her.

” IT WILL TAKE THIS WOMAN TO SAVE OUR VILLAGE ”

    By ABM90

  198. Send that video to every SD and say, look to your future if you put Obama as the nominee, do you really want to run on that?

  199. I’m going to pull my hair out.

That counter on the front of her website is DETRIMENTAL … they won’t change it in good time and now it makes like only 722,000 in one day .. we know she raises a million a day.

What is wrong with them? Don’t they realize how important it is to show she can churn in the money,

    That counter is stupid.

Her staff is not doing her justice.

  200. Morning, all. Look at that picture of Hillary on Drudge this morning. He tries to make it look as if she is stamping her feet like some child and yelling, “I’m no going!”

I really wish Matt Drudge would get caught in some horrible scandal. You know it’s out there for the right person to find. He’s a secretive, repressed homosexual.

  201. Hillary Will Rise
    Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
    With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

This is not the first time you have seen Hillary Clinton seemingly at her wits end, but she has always risen, always risen, much to the dismay of her adversaries and the delight of her friends.

Hillary Clinton will not give up on you and all she asks of you is that you do not give up on her.

There is a world of difference between being a woman and being an old female. If you’re born a girl, grow up, and live long enough, you can become an old female. But, to become a woman is a serious matter. A woman takes responsibility for the time she takes up and the space she occupies.

Hillary Clinton is a woman. She has been there and done that and has still risen. She is in this race for the long haul. She intends to make a difference in our country.

She is the prayer of every woman and man who long for fair play, healthy families, good schools, and a balanced economy.

She declares she wants to see more smiles in the families, more courtesies between men and women, more honesty in the marketplace. Hillary Clinton intends to help our country to what it can become.

    She means to rise.

She means to help our country rise. Don’t give up on her, ever.

In fact, if you help her to rise, you will rise with her and help her make this country a wonderful, wonderful place where every man and every woman can live freely without sanctimonious piety, without crippling fear.

    Rise Hillary.

    Rise.

Thanks Maya, I know she will.

  202. James Carville this morning writing at Washington Post.

    Disloyalty That Merits An Insult

    By James Carville
    Saturday, March 29, 2008; A15

Last Friday the New York Times asked me to comment on New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson’s endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama for president. For 15 years, Richardson served with no small measure of distinction as the representative of New Mexico’s 3rd Congressional District. But he gained national stature — and his career took off — when President Bill Clinton appointed him U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and later made him energy secretary.

So, when asked on Good Friday about Richardson’s rejection of the Clintons, the metaphor was too good to pass by. I compared Richardson to Judas Iscariot. (And Matthew Dowd is right: Had it been the Fourth of July, I probably would have called him Benedict Arnold.)

I believed that Richardson’s appointments in Bill Clinton’s administration and his longtime personal relationship with both Clintons, combined with his numerous assurances to the Clintons and their supporters that he would never endorse any of Sen. Hillary Clinton’s opponents, merited a strong response.

I was fully aware of what kind of response calling someone a Judas would evoke.

Certainly, it didn’t take long for the resign-renounce-denounce complex to kick into high gear.

In a bit of bloviation that brought joy to my heart, Bill O’Reilly pronounced himself “appalled.”

Keith Olbermann, about two degrees shy of the temperature necessary for self-combustion, quipped, “So if he’s Judas in this analogy, who’s Jesus?”

Even Diane Sawyer took the analogy to the extreme, questioning, “Are you saying that he made a deal of some kind when you talk about 30 shekels?”

Others opined that my remark was “tactless” and “ugly.”

Heck, I give myself some credit for managing to get the Clinton and Obama campaigns to agree on something — that neither wanted to be associated with my remarks.

I know enough to know that comparing a former Cabinet secretary and sitting governor to Judas is inflammatory and provocative. I expected the coverage that it evoked.

Was it a desperate gambit for attention? Was I just trying to prove my point that both Samantha Power’s resignation from the Obama campaign for calling Sen. Clinton a monster and the Obama campaign hysterically promoting Geraldine Ferraro’s misguided statements were equally silly and superficial?

Not really. I was saying what I felt as an individual who — with no encouragement from the Clintons but as someone who is proud to consider himself a friend of theirs — thought that Richardson had done something deeply disloyal.

Earlier this month I decried the political environment in which, by whining about every little barb, candidates seem to be trying to win the election through a war of staff-resignation attrition. Politics is a messy business, but campaigning prepares you for governing. It prepares you to get hit, stand strong and, if necessary, hit back. I’ve worked on enough campaigns to know that the most aggrieved candidate rarely emerges victorious. And for all of the hypersensitivity we’re seeing this cycle, this campaign has not been particularly negative or nasty compared with previous elections.

Fully aware of this supercharged environment in which the slightest slight is elevated to the most egregious insult, I waded in — okay, dove in — by demonstrating what constitutes a real insult.

I believe that loyalty is a cardinal virtue. Nowhere in the world is loyalty so little revered and tittle-tattle so greatly venerated as in Washington. I was a little-known political consultant until Bill Clinton made me. When he came upon hard times, I felt it my duty — whatever my personal misgivings — to stick by him. At the very least, I would have stayed silent. And maybe that’s my problem with what Bill Richardson did. Silence on his part would have spoken loudly enough.

Most of the stuff I’ve ever said is pretty insignificant and by in large has been said off the cuff and without much thought to the potential consequences. That was not the case in this instance. Bill Richardson’s response was that the Clinton people felt they were entitled to the presidency. In my mind, that is a debatable hypothesis. But, even more than that, I know that a former president of the United States who appointed someone to two Senate-confirmed positions is entitled to have his phone calls returned.

If Richardson was going to turn on the Clintons the way he did, I see no problem in saying what I said. Because if loyalty is one virtue, another is straight talk. And if Democrats can’t handle that, they’re going to have a hard time handling a Republican nominee who is seeking the presidency with that as his slogan.

James Carville, who managed Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign, is a political commentator for CNN.

    tinyurl.com/36pajx

  203. Not only does James Carville demonstrate character, dignity and deserved loyalty to the Clintons, he stands head and shoulders above the rest in defending the Clintons – in good times and bad. Sadly, others who owe their success post-Clinton, many of whom are employed by Obama, have not one shred of decency. The fact that they “forget from whence they came”, shows what opportunistic politicos they are, a la Richardson. And when you bite the hand that FED you, you are bound to “get yours” in the end. Hey, it’s in the Bible. Remember That Book? Ironically, Richardson, who once had a somewhat promising career in politics, will find it increasingly hard to hold onto his governorship, forget beyond that, because for all his rationalizations (excuses) and insight (none), he has lost massive respect among even his own Latinos – who probably value loyalty more than any other demographic. His meager attempts at comedy and mediator resonate “opportunism” at every beat. In short, he really does more aptly match the character and values of Obama, who is being found to bejust another blow-hard, arrogant, phoney and fake who will say anything it takes, changing his storyline (Wright) to suit the occasion. Birds of a feather not only flock together, they are subject to innihilation when the environment won’t support the contrary to nature direction they may take. Dishonor and disloyalty are sinful. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.

  204. Richardson’s whining that “the Clinton people felt they were entitled to the presidency” ignores the fact that Hillary has gotten millions of votes from real voters.

She’s not taking anything for granted — she fights for every vote — and she’s gotten plenty of them.

  205. meiyingsu — I feel the same way. It is a very moving video.

Patrick Leahy is a sack of sh*t

Obama lied on The View, and he needs to be called on it.

Rendell is going to be pissed that Bambi made that call to him.

We just have to keep working PA, and then start looking to NC.

  206. Leahy’s arrogance certainly makes my blood boil.

Who is he to talk like that to another Senator who has the votes of millions of voters across the country?

  207. Did any one notice the way Whoopi was watching Obama? She knew he was lying and I expect her to comment on it this coming week. Sherry, that idiot proved she is a worthless piece of shit just sitting there with that Obamtron smile on her face the whole time like she was in awe to be in his presence.

  208. Morning all!
Can somebody tell me what happened with Spacegirl yesterday? I have stupid dialup internet & once the comments go over 1000 that stupid Page Can’t Be Found message comes up.

  209. Nikki…there was a bot here, a spy, who tried to fool everyone by recreating SpaceGirls name (BADLY) and pretend they were her.

ADMIN used fly paper and got rid of them

  210. Ariste,
Thanks. There are so many pro BO blogs out there you’d think the trolls would leave the few pro Hillary sites alone.

  211. WHERE IS THE PROOF (THAT OBAMA STATED ON “THE VIEW”) THAT WRIGHT WAS REMORSEFUL? ANOTHER HUGE LIE WITHOUT ANY SUBSTANCE TO BACK IT UP -WHY HASN’T HE BEEN CALLED OUT ABOUT THAT STATEMENT? WHAT NEWS SOURCE HAS WRIGHT SAID THIS TO? THERE ISN’T ONE. HOW DARE HE INSULT PEOPLE’S INTELLIGENCE BY MAKING THAT STATEMENT. HOW DISINGENIOUS. DISGUSTING LIAR.

  212. I don’t understand why people like Andrew Sullivan and John Kerry believe that terrrists and assorted Islamic fundamentalists in the Middle East will be “inspired” by an Obama presidency?

FACT: Of Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama, only ONE has been burned in effigy by fundamentalists. I REALLY think someone in the media should make a bigger deal about this.

Our supposed “great uniter,” Barack Obama, healing the world:

From the “Obama doesn’t have a snwoball’s chance in Florida” to win a coalition broad enough to win the general election — Rick Santorum, no friend of Hillary, provides the next chapter in “rallying the conservative base” against Barack Obama that is supposed to stay home because they don’t like McCain:

    http://www.philly.com/inquirer/opinion/16066877.html

  214. This guy has it right:
    —————————-
Pressure on Hillary to quit, is pressure on the millions who support her. Pressure aiming at our minds, and our hearts. It takes its toll, and partly succeeds. It is a shameless, and insulting tactic. We can seek concerted legal, and civic action. We can petition and protest. We can complain and write. All this we can and should do. For we are duty bound that this war does not succeed. And our first and uppermost goal must be moral action. Yes, Moral Action.

A desire to come together morally to support Hillary, and to solidify the support as moral, and unyielding. Franklin Delano Roosevelt barely secured his nomination, and the forces of fascism even attempted to stage a coup – but the socialists and Democrats who supported Americas Greatest President (and he was far greater than Kennedy or Lincoln) came together in indignation at these insults to form a rock solid core, marched themselves to the Democratic convention, and there they took their stand.

So we must take our stand. In difficult times as these, when we are literally experiencing the full onslaught of a nearly totalitarian media apparatus, we must call upon Hillary, and make it a clear and loud cry, that all talk of leaving the race is absolutely unacceptable and must be treated as incendiary. Already, we must react with silent anger and justify a resentment against Obama, his media artillery, and DNC traitors, so that we stake out a moral high-ground from which an eventual Hillary victory will translate into possible media reform in this country as dramatic as during the Roosevelt years.

We must take these trying times, and they are trying brothers and sisters, they are trying, because we are feeling the pressure of injustice, we must take these times and turn them into sustenance of our political souls. Injustice, true injustice, is never acknowledged. True injustice is defined by the very ignobility of those who are forced to suffer it. By the ignobility of being told they are not suffering, and that there is no injustices.

Jamal McCoy in Hillary Will Win and We Must Fight~Stop-Obama.org

  215. You know Obama’s whole strategy this campaign is to drive a wedge in the Democratic party.
First it was with the Black vote and painting the Clinton’s as Racist.
Then it was with age and claiming that hi support is from a youthful more enthusiastic crowd.
Now he is pretty much insulting every Hillary Clinton voter by sending out his goons to go on a “Hillary must quit no campaign” when the idea is absolutely LUDICROUS.
THEN he has the AUDACITY to call Clinton polarizing and “old Washington politics”.
Well I have to say I think he was successful because I will not vote for him.

  216. IS IT TRUE THAT OBAMA HAD THE NERVE TO CALL RENDELL AND SAY HE WILL BE THE NOMINEE, AND IN ESSENCE THREATENED HIM NOT TO DO ANYTHING TO DERAIL THAT? OMG!!!!!! WHAY ISN’T THIS BEING SHOUTED FROM THE ROOFTOPS????? WHO THE HELL IS HE TO CALL OUT THE GOVERNOR? OMG??? THIS OBAMA MUST BE STOPPED WITH HIS BLOWHARD TACTICS. JOHN Q PUBLIC ALL ACROSS AMERICA HAS TO BE TOLD THIS. A YOUTUBE OF THIS SNIPPET OF CONVERSATION BETWEEN RENDELL AND COOPER MUST BE PLAYED OUT FOR WHAT IT IS – THREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUR DEMOCRACY IS GONE!!!!!!!!!

WHERE IS THE PROOF (THAT OBAMA STATED ON “THE VIEW”) THAT WRIGHT WAS REMORSEFUL?

well Curiosity…I have NO DOUBTS that Wright told OBAMA he was sorry his hate and vitriol had cause so much trouble for Bambi…but he has NOT apologized to anyone else.

  218. Guys,
There’s a good analysis at Huffington Post from Blake Fleetwood about the state of the race-http://www.huffingtonpost.com/blake-fleetwood/what-is-obama-afraid-of-_b_93995.html

    Some snippets from Fleetwood:

Bottom line, if the Democrats stand to lose Florida and Ohio and Arkansas because Obama is at the top of the ticket, the Superdelegates will have hard thinking to do if they want a Democrat in the White House next year.

Also troubling are the polls that show that more Clinton supporters 28% will bolt the party for McCain if Obama heads the ticket, versus Obama voters 19% who will bolt, if Clinton wins the nomination. (Gallup Poll) These are the Reagan, blue collar, Catholic Republicans, whom every Presidential candidate needs to win to gain the Presidency.

This fear that Clinton might surpass him in the popular vote is why Obama is so desperately trying to disenfranchise voters in these two populous states; and why Obama is trying so hard to get Hillary to drop out of, what most observers see, is still an open race.

  219. Obama and co are very afraid of what PA looks like. A big win for Clinton would essentially say he can’t close the deal for the fourth time. If he can’t close the deal with his democratic opponent, how is he going to compete nationally? I think they are also afraid that it will provide critical evidence to the damage Wright scandal has inflicted and they want to stop and muddle the whole process. I think we need an action plan in PA to make sure we get the full advantage that our candidate deserves — that they won’t hurt us using their now infamous shenanigans. First thing is to debunk this talk of his inevitability. Post everywhere and point out that the race is even and that she will be ahead when all states are counted.

  220. I can’t get CNN streaming video. tried downloading their plugin but still no luck. Darn. Looks like a great rally.

    🙁

  221. pm….we also need to spread the Rendell story FAR AND WIDE. This is DEVESTATING to Obama. Americans DO NOT LIKE POLITICIANS who believe they HAVE won before the game is over, AND that HE AGAIN IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE VOTERS.

He is ONLY worried about HIS POLITICAL HIDE.

He is an arrogant assh*** and I am SO GLAD Rendell told us aout this, AND that CNN actually aired it.

Now BO MUST ANSWER The question “how do you know you will be the nominee, Senator Obama? IS the game RIGGED more than we aready KNOW?”

  222. We also need to FLOOD THE DNC with calls protesting ONE CANDIDATE’S DECLARATION HE HAS ALREADY WON

MAKE DEAN call him out on that

  223. My Reply to Dr. Dean:

    Dean,

I no longer support the Dean Freak show!

You are a disgrace to the party! Step down now!

McCain is not getting a FREE RIDE nor are FL/MI voters that have been disenfranchised
by your utter DNC party nonsense stupidity! McCain earned his way into his campaign
without the mega-millions you have wasted.

The free riders are people like yourself and the ones who insult us with
your scary tactics harmful to the nation!

  224. hey… does anyone know the status of the meter on Hillary’s site because all Im getting is ‘sign the petition’ Im not sure if its bec Im in Florida but I already signed it but still no meter

  225. DOt,

I sent the whole enchillada through regular email. let me know if you got it.
Tried sending it all on TT but was limited to 20,000 characters.

Let me know if you got that and if you did and DON’T get the regularr email I’ll cut and paste bits and pieces.

I don’t know WHY we’re having email problems!!!!!!

  226. Has someone emailed the Obama call to Rendell to Hannity? How can PA residents vote for this sleaze when he’s strong-arming the guv? I’ve never heard of so much gaul and nerve in my entire life. Sounds like he has the assurance from Dean et al that they’ve got it all worked out how they are going to ensure his nomination without fail. This, as far as I’m concerned, is as big as any scandal concerning BHO to unfold thus far. Proves the ultimate “inside job” is in the works. Also, calls for intervention by the Justice Department ASAP. The rioting they fear may indeed occur – but it will be the millions they don’t expect. We’re sick and tired of this BLATANT CORRUPTION AND ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!

  227. Artiste – Do you have the direct phone# to the DNC? I agree. Bombard the lines with the rigging of this election as revealed by BHO to Gov. Rendell, and as reported on CNN, by their own “in-the-tank” Cooper. THIS HAS TO BECOME A TALKING POINT IMMEDIATELY – WEEKEND OR NOT.

  228. HOW’S THIS FOR SIGN: BO TELLS PA GOV HE’S NOMINEE – CNN

THINK I’LL TAKE IT TO THE COUNTY CONVENTION IN A COUPLE OF HOURS HERE IN TEXAS AS I DELEGATE FOR HRC.

  229. basil9 – No, I haven’t seen it, only read it. CNN probably killed the tape. Wouldn’t surprise me. Our country is in one helluva shape.

  230. Hey everyone,

Someone at mydd mentioned this website for people who regret voting for obama:

    http://www.itakebackmyvote.com.

So I cruised on by and found this from Idunn of CA:

    March 29th , 2008 11:30 am EDT
Hi I post on hillaryis44.org and they love me because i’m one of the “good black
people”. I love when white people pet me like a little dog and tell me how brave and
great I am while they say racist things about Obama and other African-Americans. I
*know* they’re not talking about me, i’m different! I will fit in!

    this is really creepy…

Maybe they will let me eat at the table one day like a good little doggy:)

    *wags tail*

  231. does anyone know the latest on the fundraising for Hillary on her website because all Im getting is the sign the petition part

  232. curiosity,

You have good ideas about the Rendell scandal. I would really like to see the video but if not, do you have the complete transcript?

  233. RENDELL: I had a call from Senator Obama and he said, you know I’m going to be the nominee, and I didn’t argue with him, I said, sure, and he said I just want to make sure nothing happens in Pennsylvania, the campaign here, that will make it harder for us to win in the fall. And I said, senator, don’t even worry about that for five seconds.

  234. This bull about Obama being teflon is being pushed by his camp & the media and is the biggest bunch of crap I’ve ever heard.
It’s what they said about Reagan too – who also couldn’t answer a tough question – and so the media never posed them!!!

Who decided a candidate or official is teflon?

    They – the fucking media – do….

  235. Basil9, Kaffeen,

Did you all see the post about Idunn on the Obama take back your vote site. Do you know what is going on? Does idunn know about this?

  236. kaffeen,
    thanks for the link.

    linfar,
i saw your post. Are you registered at Hillbilly’s site? If so, you may be able to get a message to Idunn there. i don’t have her email addy.

    the comment is disgusting. 😈

  237. linfar, lots of trolls and Obambi-bots here. More than anyone realizes. There are many on here that I communicate with at times and I don’t call them out. What is the purpose?

I have to assume that they think this is some *secret* “backdoor” to the campaign. Either that, or they just find any Pro-Hill website for some weird self serving purpose. In reality this is just a place for like-minded individuals and lots of trolls/bots.

  238. Thanks, basil,

Yes. I am registered at hillybilly site.

But Idunn comes here all the time, right? I am so confused…

  239. Linfar,

I trust everyone on here about as far as I can throw them (no offense to anyone, just a reality). There are some exceptions. I’ve worked with a few for campaign purposes and I have a few that I email privately. But, alas, this is the internet. Things are not always as they appear.

  240. linfar,

I know Idunn has been sick and has only popped in briefly the past few days.

I mentioned Hillbill’s site coz there’s a private email option.

Maybe artiste has Idunn’s info? Or Dot? I agree she should know what’s going on.

  241. Upcoming from NY Mag;

But now two months have passed since Edwards dropped out—tempus fugit!—and still no endorsement. Why?
According to a Democratic strategist unaligned with any campaign but with knowledge of the situation gleaned from all three camps, the answer is simple: Obama blew it. Speaking to Edwards on the day he exited the race, Obama came across as glib and aloof. His response to Edwards’s imprecations that he make poverty a central part of his agenda was shallow, perfunctory, pat. Clinton, by contrast, engaged Edwards in a lengthy policy discussion. Her affect was solicitous and respectful. When Clinton met Edwards face-to-face in North Carolina ten days later, her approach continued to impress; she even made headway with Elizabeth. Whereas in his Edwards sit-down, Obama dug himself in deeper, getting into a fight with Elizabeth about health care, insisting that his plan is universal (a position she considers a crock), high-handedly criticizing Clinton’s plan (and by extension Edwards’s) for its insurance mandate.

The implications of this story are several and not insignificant. Most obviously, it suggests that the front-runner’s diplomatic skills could use some refinement. It also raises the issue, which has cropped up in a different form after New Hampshire, Super-Duper Tuesday, and the Ohio and Texas primaries, of Obama’s capacity to close the deal.

  242. TD…HHi…yes, for a minute…i had some persnal calls to make

    what’s up?

    let me read upthread

and I MUST go take my dog to the beach for a bit, but I will be back this afternoon

  243. Arty – You didn’t happen to comment under your old screenname at itakebackmyvote did you? If not, you might want to check out the comments there. Page 5.

Start watching David Gregory on MSNBC. Then, immediately turn off MSNBC. (This suggestion is open to change if Gregory is open to impersonating Keith Oldhatman and Chris Crapuse).

    ***********

I totally agree….(except don’t turn on MSNBC in the first place)

  245. Good morning everyone!

Idunn hasn’t been here for me to confirm her registration is not a troll so it is on suspend at my site until I hear from here.

Divabunny and Win4Hill, please give me first 3 digits of your email address and I’ll unlock the private area for you.

I got a phone call from the campaign last night asking if I could help tomorrow when the Big Dawg comes to Medford! I can’t wait to see him!!

  246. Jesus Christ, is anyone ever going to point out that all this talk bythe SD’s, Sen’s Reid & Dodd, etc about stopping the candidates from attacking each other is really about Hillary not attacking Obama –
because they know it will fucking work!

    Goddam it.

  247. Tiny…II saw the comments, I stood up for Idunn, I didnt bother to read through any more of that vile crap. These people ARE INSANE in their hatred. I do not care if they are fifteen years old or fifty. They are NUTS. The have NO respect for civil discourse and NO respect for America or individual rights. They are an embarrassment to America and an embarrassment to civil people everywhere.

Are THESE our NEXT leaders? In business? in Politics? In the arts? Is THIS what we are to expect under an Obama administration, or, under Deans neo-left party? If this is the case, we can all kiss American ingenuity goodbye.

We will be the laughing stock of the world when these people grow up.

  248. I was concerned they were using your business name and some um…colorful language next to it. It can take a long time for web searches to be cleaned. Unless you’re Obama and have people scrubbing for you 24/7 😉

  249. mj, I was registered on the site in order to have a diary posted there. Yes. I believe linfar was the name. I will go land look it up.

  250. They probably used your spacey name there on purpose too. :/

I did stupid stuff on the internet when I was in my teens. Nothing involving racial slurs and some of the other incendiary comments that are at that site. That would never cross my mind. I was just involved in tv fandoms. I did start out using my real name (not bright!) and wound up with some embarassing things attached to it. Thankfully they’re over 12 years old and no longer exist.

  251. Henry you keep asking about who BHO would appoint as supreme court justice…

    he’s a snippet of BHO speech …

“Given that background, I am sorely tempted to vote for Judge Roberts based on my study of his resume, his conduct during the hearings, and a conversation I had with him yesterday afternoon.”

  255. TD, thanks. I have written the website owner again when i saw the post there in my name. I WILL have that site shut down unless better security is implemented and verification. I am looking it up under WhoIs now, and it is libelous.

  256. mj,

No I did confirm with her. She sent me the password at my email addy. And I did get on her site using it.

Now it seems to not be working.

  257. Artiste,

That is good if you know how to shut that site down. It is completely being spammed by Obamabots. I hate how they know how to do that stuff. HATE IT!

  258. Linfar, she suspended a bunch of accounts because trolls were using peoples names and registering there.

  260. Unbelievable. Literally walking out the door to attend County Convention as HC delegate. Recorded call from BHO campaign telling me I was elected as Obama delegate and to be sure to attend convention and caucus for BHO. Promptly called HRC campaign to report, along with info here in local press that ALL caucus voters from Mar. 4 urged to go back to caucus. This is a complete disaster, as this predominantly AA county has no doubt gotten the word out to BHO supporters, but not known in enough time for HRC supporters to show up today. Before LAST NIGHT, this was only known to be a County Convention for the delegates. This is sheer madness. How in the hell are these underhanded maneuvers being allowed to occur? I have the HRC phone # and no telling what I’ll be reporting within the next few hours. I feel like I’m in the middle of a bad Spielberg movie, fighting invading forces set to destroy real democracy and freedom. I haven’t felt this overwhelming sense of betrayal since the sixties during Viet Nam. Talk about deja vu.

  261. Just updated my uncommitted SD list to include CA. Let me know if anyone wants it. It is easy to draft up a left and fax it to them – mail takes too long and you can only email reps if you live in their district.

  262. Isnt it funny that the day (yesterday) that Obama’s ss troops issue orders to get Hillary out of the race, Rassmussen has an enormous swing to Obama, coincidence, i think not.

  263. FACT: Of Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama, only ONE has been burned in effigy by fundamentalists. I REALLY think someone in the media should make a bigger deal about this.

Our supposed “great uniter,” Barack Obama, healing the world:

    http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/photoessay_2164_images/0805071010_M_080507_PakistaniProtest.jpg

    ————————————–

I don’t know whether they were fundamentalists; they were angry at him threatening to invade Pakistan last summer. Some Pakistan websites made fun of him as an ‘ex-muslim’ or ‘atheist trying to fit into the US’ and things like that. I’ll send you more if you want it. Should I post it at the private site?

  264. The NEW ARG poll today for PA has Clinton 51 to 39, thats Obama down 2 since 2 weeks ago there.

However, the good number in that poll is that 23% in PA say they will never vote Obama while only 13% say they will never vote HRC, so Hillary has 23% straight off the bat with no problem.

  265. OBAMA ON LIVE STREAM SAYING THAT HILLARY TAKES FROM LOBBYIEST AND HE NEVER HAS! I ABHORE THIS GUY!

  266. I have written the website owner twice, once with my telephone number. I have called the Domain Host (who happens to be the same as mine) and gotten the info I need. I will be able to file complaints with the website owner (who is registered anonymously at the moment, but will be being contacted by Domain Host) and the website owner will be required to provide me with the information of registrants (who are probably all phony anyway…but their ISPS and IP Addresses are not) for a liable action. That is all I can do at the moment but I will BURN THEIR ASS or that of this website owner if it is not cleaned up or shut down. I WILL file a lawsuit against them ad the ISP if I have to.

They really ave a hard on for me off this board and I WILL FIGHT BACK.

  267. This is a brilliant article by Anna Shane about Obama’s strategy.

And if offers the inside track on why he does what he does.

It is the best thing I have read on why it is better for him to do nothing, and how he panders to Everyone. Please go and read it and recommend it asap. You will not regret it.

    http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/3/29/134039/323

  268. Funny that Rev Wright makes a suprise appearance last night at a Chicago catholic church to give the benediction and the Chicago Archdiocese has removed the email link for that parrish from it’s website.

  269. http://www.gallup.com/poll/105742/Democratic-Groups-Most-Risk-Deserting.aspx

Just look at the numbers bolting Obama if he’s the nominee, staggering.

The big one being 30% of democratic men vote McCain and only 21% of men desert Hillary.

Conservative Democrats dump Obama by 38% to Hillary’s 25%

Those educated to High School or less dump Obama by 30% to Hillarys 19%

Now you tell me who’s more electable. The staggering one is the Democratic men, he loses 1/3 of them, 1/3.

  278. Good Afternoon HILL fans!

is anyone who is catching any of obama’s live stream notice that the crowd is not so enthusiastic?

  283. Can someone please provide the link for the Edwards NY Mag article and the Edwards/Chelsea live feed? Please?

Texas Dems Enter Next Phase of Chaotic Delegate Selection Process
    by Associated Press
    Saturday, March 29, 2008

AUSTIN, Texas — Long lines marked some of the nearly 280 county and senate district conventions Democrats held across Texas Saturday as they tried to sort out whether Barack Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton will come away with more national delegates.

Clinton had an early lead based on results from 11 conventions — 106 delegates, or 55 percent, to Obama’s 87 delegates, or 45 percent.

By the way, Idunn…glad you are feeling better and I want you to know I wrote a VERY scathing letter on that site in your defense…before I even saw MY name there.

The stupid thing was they were using a PRO hillary site list of names to act like we were taking a vote BACK from Obama…

I have personally spoken with several republican women that are planning to vote for Hillary, so that is a good sign. I can tell you that Obama scares the hell out of an awful lot of people in Southern Oregon. Of course Obama does have supporters here, but there are alot of conservative people in this area that don’t like his associations.

I called them, filed a verbal and written complaint threatening a liable suit (which I would have done) and contacted the site’s ownwe through their link on the site itself, telling them to cease and desist or there would be a problem.

That all took an hour or more.

I took my dog to the beach. I came home to find a letter from the site owner than the site had been taken down.

    I will watch.

I sent Dot and email alerting her too, and would have to you but did not have your address.

  312. Puhleez…how can I take back a vote for Bambi I never cast? Someone is peddling retarded pills. 🙄

  313. Artists, thanks for the explanation. but I have seen this sort of contradiction with Obamacreeps before. Like on a diary if the want to scre with it, in the comments they just say gibberish or nonsense. I feel as if these Obamaroids get training somewhere on how to sabotage sites and diaries, etc.

  314. That was the whole ting thatt was so stupid Idunn…

oh, and by the way, you are from California now as well

  315. Idunn, did you ever register at the politwix.com/kt site or was it an Obamabot using your name?

Wasn’t me. This is the only political site I’m registered at under this name.

  316. oh, and by the way, you are from California now as well

Sweet…it’s been cold here in TN the last few days.

  317. Lin…I am glad you all are on MINE!

  318. Clinton tells Ben Davis crowd she’s in for long haul

    By Mary Beth Schneider
    mary.beth.schneider@indystar.com

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, defying pressure to end her presidential campaign, told Hoosiers at an Indianapolis rally this morning that she is staying in this race, including through Indiana’s May 6 primary election.

“There are some folks saying, well, we ought to stop these elections,” she told several hundred supporters at Ben Davis High School. “I didn’t think we believed that in America. I thought we of all people knew how important it was to give everyone a chance to have their voices heard and the votes counted and we’re going to give Indiana that chance on May 6.”

It was a promise greeted by ear-splitting cheers and applause from the crowd.

Clinton is trailing Sen. Barack Obama in the number of pledged delegates, though neither has the 2,024 delegates necessary to clinch the nomination. But with Sen. John McCain already having locked up the Republican nomination, some Democratic leaders are getting anxious to end what is becoming a divisive primary battle between Clinton and Obama so that the party can start aiming its firepower at McCain and the GOP instead. Friday, Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, became the latest insider to urge Clinton to pack it in.

But in four campaign stops in Indiana Friday, and again in Indianapolis this morning, Clinton made it clear she plans to stay in this election.

She has, she told the crowd at Ben Davis High School, proven her determination, including when she tried and failed to enact universal health coverage when she was first lady in the 1990s. If hired as president, she said, she’d tackle that job again.

“One thing about me, I just never give up. I keep fighting every single day,” she said, as the crowd rose to its feet with a roar of approval.

For most of today’s speech, Clinton focused on issues, particularly removing tax incentives for companies to move jobs overseas; providing health care insurance that people can afford; making college more affordable, helping families impacted by mortgage foreclosures, and other steps she said would rebuild the middle class.

“I think this election, particularly here in Indiana, is about jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs,” she said.

She heard questions from people worried about their jobs or their health insurance, and was visibly moved when a man praised her by comparing her to the Biblical Queen Esther.

Jeffrey D. Thomas, a 38-year-old Mooresville truck driver, told her he was a devout Christian who supported her. Thomas said he reads the Bible daily, and believes that like Queen Esther, who helped save the Jews, “you were brought to this point to make a difference.”

Clinton, visibly moved, told the crowd that the story of Esther and her courage is one of her favorite Bible stories.

“I’m very honored,” she said. “God bless you.”

Afterward, Thomas said he takes “so much flak” for being a religious Christian and a Democrat. But, he said, he believes there is no contradiction, and sees Democrats as the party that supports the working person.

Asked if he could support Obama if he were the nominee, Thomas hesitated. He didn’t want another Republican in the White House, he said, but wasn’t ready to say he’d vote for Obama. For now, he said, he’d be praying that Clinton is the nominee.

Brent Miller, a 24-year-old Indianapolis student in the audience, also said he does not think Clinton should bow to pressure to end her campaign.

As a young black man, Miller might be expected to be backing Obama, who is poised to become the first African-American to win a major party nomination for president. Instead, Miller, who is studying marketing and political science at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, is supporting the first woman with a chance to be a major party nominee.

Wearing a Hillary Clinton ski cap and a Hillary Clinton T-shirt adorned with two Hillary Clinton campaign buttons, Miller said the difference is that Clinton’s experience trumps Obama’s oratorical flair.

“I believe there’s a difference between inspiration and effectiveness,” Miller said.

  319. Crazy I changed my e-mail and wasn’t able to post and then I changed it back and now I can post.

Anyways, Artiste, you missed the fun part when the site was hacked. There were some interesting pictures posted.

  320. artiste
as you hold a copyright to the name I would explore options. On SA they were simply copying posts made on an open forum. By using your identity to post heinous comments they crossed a line. you use that moniker for business purposes and as such could be detrimental to your livlihood. i’d contact the attorney who handled the case were the young girl was driven to suicide because of online harassment and false postings. can’t hurt.

  321. Yeah Idunn, the first day I put the site up I was overloaded with trolls registering under everyones name here.

I have since then started verifying everyone is who they say they are before allowing access to a private forum over there for organizing. I’ve eradicated the vermin in the private area. The reason I set the forum up is so people can safely message each other with making their email addresses public.

If you want to register go to politwix.com/kt and then let me know here when you have signed up and I’ll give you access.

  322. john mccain the american preident the americans have been waiting for… wow what an ad… great ad… hail the chieff 🙂

  323. There’s two sites that the bots attacked. HillBilly had bots registering at her site as Hillis44 posters. Then itakebackmyvote had people using Hillis44 names to post some colorful comments. itakebackmyvote got hacked. After Arty took her stand they got even more vile with the comments (attributed to spacegirl, artiste, idunn, linfair, dot), they were even copying and pasting posts from here for some stupid reason. Then someone posted the goatse picture (um, don’t google unless you’re really curious) and it got fully hacked and the background picture changed and some photoshopped pics of Bill and Hillary. I had to shower after that. ::shudder::

  324. Obama people and stupid hackers do not scare me. They are stupid over privileged kids whose parents are probably either very nice or just as vile.

Their thought of fun is to take the work of serious people annd try and destroy lives.

Henry. I will do that. That is a very good suggestion. And you KNOW I will. Fla AG been contacted about SA anyway. May as well go all the way. I don;t make a ton of cash in my business. A nice liable suit from about thirty rich parents and a few Hosting companies could help a lot!

Ok off to UPS now. I was just looking upthread and would like to see the link from that Edwards story as well.

  325. Bill Clinton to Fellow Dems: ‘Relax’
By MICHAEL RUBINKAM – 18 minutes ago

GIRARDVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Former President Clinton said Saturday that Democrats calling for his wife to drop out of the presidential race should “just relax” and let the remaining states vote.

Clinton, marching in a belated St. Patrick’s Day parade in Girardville, a tiny town in northeastern Pennsylvania’s coal region, said it wouldn’t be fair to deprive Democratic voters in states like Pennsylvania of the opportunity to vote for the candidate of their choice.

“We just need to relax and let this happen. Nobody’s talking about wrecking the party,” Clinton said. “Everywhere I go, all these working people say, ‘Don’t you dare let her drop out. Don’t listen to those people in Washington, they don’t represent us.'”

Clinton was responding to a statement by Sen. Patrick Leahy, a Vermont Democrat who supports Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. Leahy said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton can’t win enough delegates to capture the nomination and should drop out and support Obama.

Clinton told reporters along the parade route that Leahy doesn’t want his wife to compete in upcoming contests because “she might win.” Polls have shown Sen. Clinton with a big lead over Obama in Pennsylvania, which votes April 22 and is the biggest remaining electoral prize.

“I think the idea that a state as important to the Democrats’ future as Pennsylvania, where (Republican nominee-in-waiting) Sen. (John) McCain has always been popular and always run well, the idea that the Democrats would not want the vote to occur here I think is crazy,” Bill Clinton said.

“The people should just relax and let this process go on,” he said as he walked the 1.5-mile-long parade route wearing a shamrock-colored scarf and carnation. “It’s good, it’s exciting, it’s good for democracy.”

He drew a crowd estimated at well over 20,000, with people lining up 10 deep to shake hands and get autographs.

In a brief speech outside St. Joseph Catholic Church, Clinton told the throngs that his wife supports investments in clean-coal technology in hard-hit coal states like Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia.

Like many towns in the coal region, Girardville, population 1,800, has struggled to recover economically from the demise of widescale anthracite mining.

“If we led the world to the moon, we ought to be able to lead the world to clean coal,” Clinton said. “I know a certain candidate who is absolutely committed to that.”

  326. DO NOT POST ANYMORE FROM THAT SITE!

Any dolt here who that was Idunn ought to be ashamed. First, the comment is actually insulting to Idunn. Second, this person is a humorless git, ie, NOT IDUNN!

Idunn, How you feeling? We missed you around here.

  327. Then someone posted the goatse picture (um, don’t google unless you’re really curious)

Yeah, I got introduced to the goatse pic a few years ago on the American Idol Forum. Swell of someone to do that on a site where 10 year old kids post.

Some people are just mean spirited assholes. But you know, EVERYTHING you do in life is recorded. In the end, ALOT of people are gonna find themselves wishing they hadn’t taken better care of their souls.

  328. If Hillary drops out of the primary before it is over I will drop out of the democratic party that same day.

  329. Idunn, How you feeling? We missed you around here.

Thanks, MJ. Super congested. I’m gonna try standing in a hot shower in a bit and see if I can’t loosen some of this up. If not, I guess I’m gonna have to break down and make a drs. appointment. But, I FEEL better than I did, just way more congested.

P.S. Screw ALL you guys who thought that was me! I’m WAYYYYY funnier than that! 😡

  330. I’ve been watching Chelsea (instead of driving). She talks slow and steady and soft like her dad but is full of policy wonkishness like her mom. She looks a lot like Bill’s mom.

  331. Well, my first visit back in a few days was eye opening. LOL.

I’m hitting the shower. Be back in a bit. 🙂

  332. Obama: My foreign policy would be like that of elder Bush, JFK, Reagan

So, Obama would invade countries, smuggle drugs for weapons, and throw up when he visits Japan?

That is exactly what I want! 🙄

  333. MJ,
With the effort it took you to ask 6 times where the NY Mag article was,
you could have Googled “NY Mag” and found it yourself.

I posted the guts of it here for others to read because it was, I thought, telling, even though that was more than I feel like doing on account of how I’ve been treated by some here.

    Not your servant.

  334. Another Cuban missile crisis would be fun, too.

Except that BO wouldn’t be smart enough to stop the nuts who wanted to use nukes.

Dodd calls on Democratic leaders to halt Clinton, Obama battle
    March 28, 2008

    NORWICH, Conn.

Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd says the war of words between Senate colleagues Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama is undermining Democrats’ ability to win the presidential election.

Dodd was a Democratic presidential candidate himself before dropping out after a poor showing in the Iowa caucus.

At an appearance Friday in Norwich, Dodd says that if Obama and Clinton keep up the constant backbiting and sniping, the Democratic nomination won’t be worth much.

He says that after primaries in Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Indiana, the national leadership needs to push the party to get behind a candidate.

He’s supporting Obama and says he’ll step up if other party leaders don’t.

  336. 5 Lake County mayors unite for Clinton rally
    BY JOE CARLSON
    jcarlson@nwitimes.com
    219.933.3364 | Saturday, March 29, 2008

HAMMOND | Mayor Thomas McDermott Jr. seemed to project nothing but excitement and confidence on stage Friday in welcoming U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton to the cheering crowd in the Hammond Civic Center.

But in more subdued comments before Clinton’s arrival, McDermott was pragmatic about the New York senator’s chances of beating U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., in a county so close to the glare of the Chicago media.

“Hopefully, she’s going to break even in Lake County and win Indiana,” McDermott said. “She’s putting people on notice that she’s going to fight for every vote in Lake County.”

McDermott was among six Lake County mayors who publicly endorsed Clinton — “grassroots mayors,” Clinton called them — during a news conference Friday after the senator’s public appearance.

Mayors McDermott, of Hammond; George Pabey, of East Chicago; Brian Snedecor, of Hobart; Keith Soderquist, of Lake Station; Joe Stahura, of Whiting; and Olga Velazquez, of Portage, all stood next to Clinton at the podium and declared their endorsement before the assembled national media.

“We’ll turn out the vote for you in Lake County,” Stahura told Clinton, shaking her hand when his turn came.

Crown Point Mayor David Uran also endorsed her, though he could not attend the event.

“I think Hillary shows a great strength in a serious time that our country is facing,” Velazquez said. “We need someone that has stood up to adversity.”

Clinton said she rejected the calls from some national party observers that she step aside and let Obama take the party’s nomination to avoid bruising political infighting among Democrats.

“A spirited contest is good for the party and will strengthen the party,” she said. “I think this is what elections are all about.”

Several prominent Lake County politicians who are endorsing Clinton, including former East Chicago Mayor Robert Pastrick and Lake County Sheriff Rogelio “Roy” Dominguez, said they will support whichever Democrat emerges with the nomination.

Pastrick, whose vote as a Democratic superdelegate will help determine the party’s nominee, said it’s difficult to watch the party’s squabbles play out on the national stage.

“Nobody likes to see it. It’s unfortunate that it’s occurring,” Pastrick said. “But whoever it is, if it’s Obama or Clinton, we’ll support them in the fall.”

Not present at the event was Rudy Clay, the chairman of the Lake County Democratic Central Committee, who did not attend Friday’s event.

Clay, the mayor of Gary, is a self-described “Obama man” whose city lost the chance to host Clinton’s visit this week just hours after he publicly reaffirmed his support for Obama.

Clay said his decision not to attend was based on his choice as a mayor to endorse Obama, and it was not related to his responsibilities as chairman of the county party.

“As mayor of the city, not as county chair, I’m supporting Obama,” Clay said. “As county chair, if she wins the nomination, I will support her with all fervor (in the General Election) because she’s a Democrat.”

  337. These people are idiots who think the Republicans need the Democrats’ help to think up things to attack on. 🙄

  338. Sunday Talk Show Tip Sheet: politico.com/news/stories/0308/9251.html

ABC’s “This Week” features two of the biggest Democratic surrogates of all: Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, Clinton’s top supporter in the Keystone State, squares off against 2004 Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John F. Kerry of Massachusetts, who has endorsed Obama.

Will the two play nice, or is the comity of the 2004 campaign a distant memory?

Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) also stops ABC to tout the presumptive Republican presidential nominee: his old friend, Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

    Snip:

Host George Stephanopoulos also leads a roundtable on the latest political and economic developments with Paul Krugman of The New York Times, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich and ABC’s Donna Brazile and George Will.

CBS’s “Face the Nation” features another major surrogate, with Obama supporter Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, who recently ended his own bid for the Democratic nomination, dropping by to tout his candidate and, maybe, explain his new goatee.

Host Bob Schieffer also interviews Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who’s backing Clinton.

    Snip:

Bloomberg’s “Political Capital” scores a big coup this weekend, as both Clinton and Obama discuss economic issues in separate interviews with host Al Hunt.

    Snip:

Host Tim Russert also discusses the week’s politics with David Brooks of The New York Times and Peter Beinart of the Council on Foreign Relations and The New Republic.

    Snip

    “Fox News Sunday”

Host Chris Wallace moderates a debate between two leading military experts in the Senate — Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Democrat Jack Reed of Rhode Island.

    CNN’s “Late Edition”

Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson of Florida also discusses his controversial plan to abolish the Electoral College after his state was stripped of its convention delegates by the Democratic National Committee for moving up the primary day.

Florida’s other senator, Republican Mel Martinez, also stops by CNN to discuss the situation in the Sunshine State.

Pulling double duty, Nelson also appears on C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers,” where he’ll be questioned by Politico’s Amie Parnes and the Chicago Tribune’s Mark Silva.

  339. From MSNBC:

    From NBC/NJ’s Aswini Anburajan
GREENBURG, Pa. — The Clinton campaign today accused the Obama campaign of “false advertising,” claiming that a recent ad Obama released in Pennsylvania was disngenous because Obama has been the recipient of more than $200,000 from the oil and gas industry.

In the ad, Obama says, “I’m Barack Obama, and I don’t take money from oil companies or lobbyists, and I won’t let them block change any more.”

Obama has taken $213,884 from the oil and gas industry as of Feb. 29th, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Sen. Hillary Clinton has taken $306,813 in that same period.

Two of Obama’s campaign bundlers are also CEOs for oil and gas companies, per a list released on his campaign Web site.

Robert Cavnar, listed as a bundler who has raised between $50,000 to $100,000 for the campaign, is the chairman and CEO of Mission Resources Corp., a Houston-based firm. George Kaiser, also listed in the same $50,000 to $100,000 category, is the CEO of Tulsa-based Kaiser-Francis Oil Company.

“It’s unfortunate that Senator Obama is using false advertising to explain why he can be trusted to do something about energy prices,” Clinton spokesman Phil Singer said. “Senator Obama says he doesn’t take campaign contributions from oil companies but the reality is that Exxon, Shell, and others are among his donors.”

Obama routinely criticizes companies like Exxon-Mobil on the stump, but over the course of his presidential campaign he has taken more than $30,000 from individuals working for Exxon-Mobil. Clinton has taken more than $20,000 from Exxon-Mobil in the same period.

Just last month, Obama took more than $11,000 from individuals at Exxon-Mobil, per the center. At least 12 of those contributions came from individuals who contributed $250 each, the lowest listed donation. In that same period, Clinton took more than $3,000 from individuals working at Exxon-Mobil.

However, many of those contributions appear to come from workers at the firm not just executives. For example, Patrice McGowan, an Exxon-Mobil shift supervisor, who lives in Joliet, Ill., has donated $982 to Obama as of January. She also has a blog profile on Obama’s campaign Web site.

“I am a single woman who has worked shift work all my life, sometimes never seeing another woman on the job for weeks,” her profile reads, in part.

In a statement today, Obama spokesman Bill Burton, reiterated that Obama doesn’t take PAC money or money from federal registered lobbyists, and “that includes oil companies and oil lobbyists.”

Picking on the energy industry is a standard part of Obama’s stump speech, where he harshly criticizes the 2005 energy bill and the Vice President Dick Cheney’s efforts in passing it.

“Exxon Mobil reported more than $10 billion in quarterly profits,” Obama told a town hall in Greenburg, Pa. today. And then referring to Cheney, he added, “He met with the oil and gas companies 40 times. So is it any wonder than that the energy laws that were written were good for Exxon-Mobil but they are not good for you?”

However, Obama did vote for that bill and has been repeatedly criticized by the Clinton campaign for the vote. Obama has defended that vote saying that despite it being a “flawed bill,” it had strong provisions for alternative fuels and was the best deal that could be struck on the issue.

Today, spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the bill, supported by Pennsylvania Congressmen Murtha and Kanjorski “actually raised taxes on oil companies and made the largest investment in renewable energy in our nation’s history.”

Despite the attacks, Obama doesn’t appear to be backing down from his criticism of the energy industry or on special interest influences.

“I don’t take PAC money,” he said this evening. “I don’t take money from federal registered lobbyists. I don’t want those strings attached.”

  340. you know what is really pissing me off? Clinton has really not been addressing Obama at all in her stumps, taking the high road, and Obama is still out there trying to paint her negatively. That sucks, I thought Dean told both candidates to cool it.

  341. HillBillyLover

I was thinking the same thing. Hillary is talking about issues. All he is saying is my opponent says. I am sick of him
