Hi everybody. I just wanted to mention how distressing it is to me to see, not only hateful responses to on-line pieces about Bill and Hillary, but also, responses defending and praising Hill yet using disgusting, racially disparaging name-calling on Obama. We are so careful here, which makes me proud. I wish we could keep other supportes in check. (Although I sometimes wonder if these are not "trolls", who want to make it appear like Hill's supporters are disgusting.)

Sorry, I meant "if Egypt and Israel were still enemies." Anway, I don't see any potential payoff in Obama.

"The risks of his hypothetical presidency are higher, but the potential payoff is greater: He could be the next Jack Kennedy—or the next Jimmy Carter."

Kennedy or Carter -- which one was the 'great payoff?' JFK avoided a nuclear war after blundering to the brink of one. Jimmy Carter told the Soviet Union, 'don't even think about seizing the arab oil fields' -- and guess what, they didn't even think about. And imagine the Middle East today if Egypt and Egypt were still enemies.

I am bothered by how the media is treating RFK's children (Robert, Kathleen, Kerry) just because they are endorsing Hillary -- they also lost their father to this country. In fact, all of them are involved in politics for the betterment of people -- Kathleen was Lt. Governor of MD and made quite a mark and unfortunately lost the gubernatorial race mostly because she was a woman and she did not have the gift of gab. I would like to know what Caroline Kennedy has done with her visibility and clout? Nothing much really. It is all disgusting.

A couple of thoughts about the latest mind boggling things happening regarding the ANTI-Hillary/PRO-Obama business:

I'm with the rest of you re: Ted and Caroline Kennedy endorsing Obama. And the speech Ted gave actually putting down the Clintons I hope will be something to bite them on the ass WHEN HILLARY DOES BECOME PRESIDENT!!! Thanks for the phone #. I will be calling Mr. Kennedy's office, too, because my blood has been boiling since he and his niece have endorsed Obama.

On Morning Joe, they talked about Rezko and just lumped the Clintons together with Obama in relation to him!! Just because the Clintons had their photo taken with Rezko, they are "assuming" they have a crooked relationship with him??? Hey, I've had my photo taken with Hillary, too, and met her many times but I am sure she wouldn't recognize me if she saw me and we certainly don't "know each other". Joe Scarborough's continued HATRED for the Clintons - mainly Bill - is deploring in my opinion! There is no fairness in reporting and it is not right to show blatant bias for one candidate over the other!

This putting down of Hillary with the talking heads saying why does she NEED her husband to protect her? Why did Ted Kennedy call Bill and not Hillary? All this CRAP - all AGAINST Hillary and Bill - makes me sick to my stomach!! These pundits are lucky they are not meeting me in person because the police would have to pull me off them!!

My blood is boiling that the fact some of the Kennedys have also endorsed HILLARY but that is going unnoticed. When Hilary Rosen commented on TUCKER than "some of the Kennedys are endorsing Hillary, too" - Tucker had to say "yeah the less ones!"

I am wondering if my blood pressure will hold up before this primary is over!!! I am seething from anger and the unfairness of it all!!

And one more comment. Ted and Caroline are comparing Obama to JFK and RFK. Look what happened to THEM!!!

I called Senator Kennedy (sorry Kingsgrove) and then read this entire thread. It was busy the first few times but I finally got through to a man who said not one word.

I said it was a slap to all women.

What I didn't say was if Obama was the woman and Hillary the man, there is no way this endorsement would have happened. Feel free to make that point.

I also didn't say that if there was some unifying appeal detected with Obama, he hasn't heard the hurt and fury of women who will no longer support a party that rejects them. Another free thought.

Lastly, why would a man respond to charges of age and spinelessness by endorsing the man who said it? And why would he endorse a campaign that began by asking reporters to go after Bill Clinton's private life after his presidency?

Boycotting every outlet that is critical of Hillary is silly, short-sighted, and counterproductive IMO, and sounds for all the world like the kind of thing Barry's kids would do. If Hillary can stand the heat, we should be able to withstand it too, plus it will be all the more satisfying to hear them eat crow on 2/5. I have previously suggested that we view BM as unintentional satire and think of how John Stewart will ridicule their excesses at 11pm et. with REAL satire.
